he'll do Izzy things he'll get a win and then we'll build this fight up a little bit more and then Sean Strickland just kind of beat the hell out of Israel to Sanya became the middleweight champion

DDP gets his title shot against Sean Strickland wins the belt in a super competitive fight and now longest layoff of Izira Adasani's career as a professional fighter, 11 months, nearly a year, he is back, and now he's chasing Drixe Duplice, who is now the champion. So this entire storyline has gone full circle.

We've gone one way, now we're on the other. Izzy, now chasing DDP. Man, this fight's got it all, GC. It was a slow start to the fight week, but I think by Wednesday, Thursday, we ramped this thing right up. Sorry, I got the strains by this commercial. Some sort of exorcist thing. Some girl just came in and just started vomiting on this guy,

rotated her head all the way around. But yeah, dude, I feel like it's fully ramped up, especially since the press conference. I mean, we saw Israel out of Sunday get very emotional. Clearly, I mean, the way he slammed the table and got up, he's talking about how he's going to end DDP's dreams in the country that he achieved his, clearly there's bad blood between these guys.

and there's a lot on the line for both of them. I mean, if there's a lot of Sonia wins, I think there's a lot of fights for him to still have. If he loses, I mean, I can say with almost 100% certainty, the next fight he's going to have is not going to be for a title. He's getting older. He is 35. He'll have lost three of his last four at that point.

Like, where does he go from there? And then DDP will obviously get his rematch with Sean Strickland. So, yeah, I mean, a lot on the line other than just the title. I know, as he keeps saying, fuck the belt and everything like that. But yeah, there's a lot at stake here, man. And between two guys they don't like each other and you got one of the best middle weights of all time on one side, a guy who hasn't lost since entering the UFC, I mean, I don't know how you could be more excited for this one. And I don't know what's going to happen either.

I have no clue who's going to win this fight. Who would you say has won the fight week between these two guys? I mean, in my opinion, it's got to be DDP. Like, I mean, if you make your opponent cry at the press conference, then you win the trash talk. You win the verbal debate. I mean, the fact that Easy tweeted like the, I think the kids are calling me meat watching on Twitter, he posts that and then DDP posts the screenshot of Izzy crying with the microphone. It was like, all right, I win the screenshot game. It feels like he's won in person and on Twitter.

DDP just feels so unbothered by everything. It feels like he, like, he's a very good trash talker with like doing it in the most nonchalant way. He is a terrific trash talker. by the way i love this promo about rivalries and half of them have Boston sports teams involved yeah yeah yeah yeah Celtics Lakers yeah this is good ship by the UFC this is very well Connor Kabib Tom Brady Peyton Manning yeah yeah there's Connor Habib what's what's so great about it's getting shot what's so great about

autosani's career is this is like what like his what would you call this like his third rivalry like he the Whitaker rivalry yeah then obviously the Pereira Paul Costa. I mean, Paula Costa, yeah, things got heated. It was short and sweet,

but there's rivalry. Martin Vittori, you could probably call rivalry. Oh, for sure, yeah. I mean, honestly, if he gets another fight with Strickland,

then you might start calling that a rivalry too. Like, he has a way to build these fights up. D.C. John Jones. I mean,

that might be the number one all time. One of the greatest backstage interviews of all time. You're still there? I'm not going to say it, but just legendary stuff.

Israel had a son. looking pretty in pretty good shape there, Jersey. This is probably the best he's ever looked in there as a UFC fighter. He's looking build. I'm really looking forward to it because, yeah, I think we get a lot of questions answered on where is Real Otisani is at in his career. Because last time we did an easy watch party,

Sean Strickson obviously to our shock. I mean, took him to school for pretty much all five rounds of those, of that fight at UFC 293. And that's the last time we saw Adasania in a cage. And me and our man, Jed Mishu, shout out at the Mishu. mansion one more time. We pointed out on No Betts Bar this week that, I mean, Adasania has not taken a year off since, what would we say?

2012? 2009? 15 years, this guy hasn't taken a year away from fighting. So I'm interested to see what it's going to look like, man. I'm hyped for this one. Anytime Adasanya fights. And honestly, anytime DDP of late fights, I mean, DDP is so chaotic, but all of his fights are always exciting.

He's a very interesting puzzle to try to solve. Yeah, and he's, dude, he's becoming a star. I was telling him before this, before we went on air, one of my friends who doesn't really watch UFC, I was hanging out with him last night, and he was just like, I saw Drigas 2 Plus C's fighting tomorrow. I can't wait for that.

I was just like, damn, that's where we're going. Drigas 2 Plus C fight, all right? Not his your hot of Sanya. And he was like, no, yeah, I'm excited, dude. Big fan of his, the South African. So maybe some star power there. someone asked this question on the pre-fight show what's the more interesting rematch to you

Sean Strickland versus Israel-A-Sania 2 or Sean Strickland versus DDP too Sean Strickland israel-A-Sanya too because that will have meant that Israel-A-Sanya beat DDP so then we really get to be like we really get to see like was that just an off night did Israel-A-Srykland really just underestimate Sean Strickland or is John Strickland's style

just an issue for Israel-A-Sahnya I mean I think perfect game plan if Izzy wins he gets the belt. He goes and fights, Sean Strickland, gets his get back there, and then we just beef up and go to 205 and take on Alex Pereira. Alex Pereira now fighting Khalil Roundtree.

Yeah, obviously. What did you think of that? All right, so I think that is a much more exciting fight. It has much higher potential to be an exciting fight than the Magam and Anka Live fight. I mean, Kalil-Roundtree. What do we call him? The Glory Killer,

the Glory Kickbox Killer. We know Alex Sparrest spent a good amount of time in glory kickboxing. So that's going to be put to the test there. But it feels a bit undeserved. I mean, he's the eighth rank fight heavyweight in the world right now. He obviously got scheduled to fight Jamal Hill. Tested positive suspended for six months? Here's a title shot.

Meanwhile, Maga Maga Magna, Uncle I, is getting handed Alexander Rockich. So, yeah, I don't really know how deserving it is. But, I mean, this isn't really an organization that that always plays in. giving the most deserving type of shots. I'm excited for the fight. It's going to be sick. Anytime Alex Pereira gets into the OktCon,

I will be glued to the TV. And if you're getting him against the killer like Khalil Roundtree, you're almost guaranteed to get violence. I don't see Kalil around tree going for takedown. So I feel like we're just going to get a kick pucksing match and it's going to be sick. So through seven.

Shaping up. Five days ago, I was like, wow, this is a shit card, dude. And now I'm like, this is actually pretty sick card. It's like seven really good fights. Yeah, yeah. I'm like really looking forward to it. You're getting two title fights.

Parley palis, palis, in the house getting a shot against Rocky P. Saw she's an underdog. We'll definitely be getting bet in that one. Shout out to Venezuela vixen. Jose Aldo on the card. Who else we got? Al Jemaine Sterling versus Roaldane Sterling.

Aljavev. Yeah, it's shaping up to be a good one. And then 308, 306, 309, 310. I mean, there's a lot left, dude. There's a lot left in this year for the U.S. UFC for sure. Maybe Connor McGregor in 3-10? Who knows?

Oh man, I needed to do. Or 3-11? I took a Connor McGregor will fight in 2024 bed at the beginning of the year, plus 200. I was like, this is easy money. Obviously, he gets scheduled in June. I'm like, this is the easiest bet I've ever made in my life. Turns out it's been just a complete emotional roller coaster the entire 365, and I don't

think we're going to cash it. I don't think we are. So my first reaction to Pereira Roundtree. Yeah, please. being announced was, okay, this fight makes no sense. Card saver? Card saver? Yeah, oh, for sure.

Also, we're getting Wonderboy, Wonderboy. Yeah, Walking Buckley. Yeah, Walking Buckley. Kevin Holland, Roman Deleez, and that's another good one. And others. On top of that, besides Pereira Roundtree just being a slapper and enemy fighting, basically been calling for that one, like, just throw Roundtree in there and do it. Jed's been, by the way, screaming from the rooftops for this fight to happen.

for quite some time, was, well, if they're going to the Pereira well now, I feel better about Connor McGregor fighting in December. Okay. I like this. It's spin it for me, dude. I love the idea. I mean, I saw McGregor tweeting. Taking what McGregor tweets with the smallest possible grain of salt that you can find is what I've learned to do.

But I did say that he mentioned December on Twitter. Yeah, I just, because to me, it was, let's keep Pereira on ice, if McGregor's not fighting, then you throw Pereira in there. Whether against Izzy, if he wins tonight, maybe you just keep Pereira on ice just to see what happens in this fight, or if you need him, you just call him, and he'll be there to save another tent pole card for the company. And in fact, they're going right to the well less than two months,

because I don't think this is a fight that was negotiated for weeks at a time or anything like that. Something that probably came together in a day. They were just like, hey, you want a fight? Here's three names. Who do you want? Yeah, the roundtree fight seems pretty fun. Done.

This is what we're doing. If Alex Pereira wins that fight, then in a 11th month span, essentially, we'll just call it November 1st of 2023 to October 31st of 2024, he will have won the light heavy weight belt and defended it three times over the course of a year. like the run that this guy is on is just insane. It's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous. The activity level, the star power, the baby faceness. Like, I mean, he's just untouchable on that front. Like, and this is a very winnable fight for him.

Hamzat versus Zizi is massive, but you can also do it with DDP. I selfishly want Adasania, Pereira, 3, and MMA at 205, everything on the line. And the only way we get that is if he wins. Has he kind of changed the tune on that whole thing? Originally he was like, no, we're done.
