Starting point is 00:00:56 in the ultimate fighting championship. Live around the world on the MMA fighting YouTube channel. Here are your hosts, Mike Eck and Mr. Nogray. area, Jed Bishu. Let's go. Happy watch party day, everybody. Welcome to the UFC 306 watch party here on M.AFighting.com.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I am Mike Heck, alongside the brand new co-host of the M.A. fighting watch parties, Mr. No Gray area himself, Jed Bishu. And, Dad, we're in round three of the featured prelim Arini Aldana versus Norman Dumont. For those not watching live right now,
Starting point is 00:01:38 tell the folks what's happening. Norma Dumont's whipping that out. ass, but that's not important, Mike. What's important is I want to thank you guys, because this, this right here, it's the American dream. I used to sit right there. This is the textbook definition of moving on up. I sat right there and now I am here. You too can achieve your dreams if other people leave your dreams open for you. So, and now we can all enjoy watching Norma Dumont beat the crap out of Irene Aldana. It is a bit of shocking performance that, frankly, I'm enthused about, Mike.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Yes. And it definitely has implications on the MMA fighting fantasy draft, which is not gone well for anybody on the staff right now. It's not going great today. And it's continuing to trend downwards because Alexander Cayley has Arrini Aldana, and he's about to lose this one. So, oh and three? Yeah, today is a bad day thus far.
Starting point is 00:02:36 I'm not sure if Norman Dumont is cut or if she is just, wearing the blood of Arrini Aldana on her face. Yeah, it was a clash of heads, by the way. That was a clash. Yeah. And both women are, this has really been a very, very good fight. Like, honestly, way more exciting than I anticipated. Norma Dumont has looked the best she's ever looked.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And Arina Aldana have a slow start, but is, I mean, she's standing 10 toes right now and trying to make something happen with two minutes left. Absolutely. Let's see if she can get it done. She's going to need a finish here, nice right hand. Norma Dumas on the feet has looked. really, really good. She looks so good.
Starting point is 00:03:12 She's like she's attacking the body really well defensively. She's just got the range. But Aldana, after that's so sorry, like she is now just saying Yolo and just pushing in. And she's starting to have more success. Bleeding like a stuff. Oh, man. She is covered in blood right now.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Yeah, she looks like she's wearing a mask right now, like a legitimate mask. We could not put this video up on YouTube. Nope. We would be demonetized immediately. Yeah, Dumont just cruising. She's cocky as hell too. She's been cocky as hell from the opening round is the thing.
Starting point is 00:03:44 She's jabbing. Immediately she was shimmy and shaking her head at Dumont or not at Aldana, in part because like Aldana kept missing punches because Dumont has been really good, man. Plus my hand from Adana. Oh, nice combination from Dumont. Oh, plus Mike, the most important part of all of this is in our head-to-head's picks. Tonight I have Norman Dumont. And I'm 47 seconds away from that coming out real clean.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Yes. And we'll discuss the meaning of that. The implication. And why there are stakes. 53 significant strikes landed by Norman Dumont in round two and round three. And there's still time to go here. She might go for a 70 spot the way she just continues to throw. Boy, Norman Dumont is sending a message to the rest of the, oh so stacked women's Bantamweight Division.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Look, there's a lot of Bantamweight division. and she's about to get a win over a former title challenger. Mike, uh, did you, you got to see the, the Van Chyrez fight, right? I did. I was told, uh, if you can move the mic up a touch. Move the mic up a touch. We sure can, Casey. Yes. Producer extraordinary Casey line on the ones and twos. Exceptional work. And that's it.
Starting point is 00:04:59 That's it. Uh, should be a clear 3027 for Norman Dumont. I certainly believe Norman Dumont's can get the decision. My question more is, do we think that's the frontrunner for fight of the night? Because the Chiras van, the round two was insane. Look at that cut, dude. That's one of the grossest cuts I've ever seen. Oh, my God. It's really, really bad.
Starting point is 00:05:19 That's, that, yeah. Holy smokes. I bet if you go to M.A.Fighton.com in the name of it's a five minutes. It's a really good website. If you go in the next five minutes, I suspect there will be photos of that absolute cavern that has been opened up on our reading out on his face. We have a super chat as we await the decision. Shout out to Fahim. Jed, say something about Chandler.
Starting point is 00:05:43 This is my answer about Chandler. Guys, last night was the best. If you have been living under Iraq for the last 24 hours and are unaware, last night a whole bunch of stuff happened in about four seconds of time. Oh, my God, dude. I can't look at that free cut. Holy shit. But last night, there's an interview with Dana White comes out that says,
Starting point is 00:06:08 Michael Chandler will not be the return fight for Connor McGregor. Then a correction is issued. Not really a correction, more of a clarification of Dana White saying, actually, Michael Chandler has accepted another fight. And that fight is to be the co-main event of UFC 309, the MSG card. He's taking on a rematch for Charles Oliver in a five-round fight. And then Michael Chandler immediately puts out his response to all this on YouTube. It's six minutes long.
Starting point is 00:06:35 It's the funniest thing I've seen this week, Mike. I've never seen a man. You're talking to a man who's had a great deal of copium in his own life. And that man is out there just being, just talking himself through what happened. My favorite part of the whole thing, Mike, is he is disparaging the haters and losers of which there are many. All those people out there saying that I should move on, that I've wasted two years of my life, that he's never going to fight me. all you ridiculous people, and then in the same sentence, it's like, so I am moving on.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I am pivoting to this other thing. Just, look, it may end up working out for him. Certainly if he beats Charles Oliver, that's a huge opportunity. But, like, this is the thing all of us have been saying for the past two years is, like, this is the back into the prime of your life, and you shouldn't be waiting around for a guy who's never going to love you. You should be trying to get out there and fight some of these other dudes. and it may still work out.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Like, if he goes in there, it gets a big win. Even with the loss, he might still get the Conner fight next year, Mike. But it's been a very, very funny 24 hours for those of us and not a big fan of Michael Chandler camp. Over under July 2025, Connor McGregor fights is in the Octagon. I'll say under because the other thing that happened last night, Mike, you were asleep at the time this happened. And we talked about a little earlier today,
Starting point is 00:08:05 but Connor, you know, co-owner of BKFC was at the BKFC event in Hollywood, Florida, went to the post-fight presser. One, I strongly encourage you to watch it if you haven't because I'm not a big, I'm not a Connor McGregor stand by any means. He is so good at promotion, Mike. Like, he got up there and he is so invested in being a co-owner, a promoter of BKFC.
Starting point is 00:08:32 He was putting all the fighters over. like we're talking old school Dana White in the early days of being in the U.C. His level of enthusiasm. Like it was infectious. It was really like, wow, you're doing a great job. And then of course, because all this Chandler stuff's happening, they get to him, they ask him questions. And he wasn't shitty about it, which was pretty nice. He wasn't like Chandler's an idiot who's like, you know, I'm waiting for a fight.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It came off to me. Like he actually does to some extent want to fight, but that he is having a difficult time getting to it with the UFC for whatever reason. I think we know the reason. I mean, I think we know the reason, but he made multiple mentions to the fact that he has two fights left on his contract. He just wants to get in there. He wants to compete.
Starting point is 00:09:16 And then he even threw out that, you know, because now the guy is supposed to fight is booked, you know, maybe they might give him an exemption. Maybe they might allow him the opportunity to go ahead and, you know, fight in BKFC or do a co-promotion, something like that. Obviously, it's probably not going to happen. but I'm starting to think he really does want to come back. He does.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I feel like he does. And again, I think we know why this is happening. This is the UFC doing what the UFC does when their big stars are about to have their contract come to an end. Conner's got two fights left on his deal. The UFC would prefer if he just resigns right now, get him at a little bit of a little bit of a discount. I guess whatever that is for Connor McGregor. Plus, they're about to sign a new. TV deal that is going to be absolutely massive
Starting point is 00:10:05 and having the opportunity to have Connor McGregor for two fights bumps the value up a little bit as far as the negotiations go. Yeah, you mentioned that one of the last times we were talking about this. I really hadn't factored in that part of it. With
Starting point is 00:10:21 the TV deal next year being the negotiation period, yeah, that seems like that makes a ton of sense. So I will say, under, I had started to talk myself into the December timeline because Conner's throwing that out. They still don't have a main event for the December thing yet.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I mean, they don't technically have a main event for the MSG card, but we all suspect that that's going to be announced officially on this broadcast. So we're just looking at December as a last pay-per-view. I kind of thought that might fit, but it seems like they're – you could convince me it's January. You could convince me that they're trying to get this done. They want to get him in one early, and then maybe he wants to come back. I don't know who it's going to be.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Certainly if Chandler takes a beating, which is very possible. Fucking stroll. I don't know what's going to go. But last night was deeply, deeply funny for those of us who are not supporters of Michael Chandler. There are many, and we had a great evening. There you go.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Let's talk about the pomp and circumstance here, the sphere, the build, all that. How would you grade what you have seen so far? because the first look was like, holy crap, this is wild. And then we're just kind of wondering how this is going to play off on television. And you can tell at this point that it looks different. It feels different. There's some similarities.
Starting point is 00:11:46 But there is just being able to see, oh, there's Brandon Marino. Oh, there's Murano Magamatoff. Like, it's very easy to spot Zhang Wei Li in the crowd because of how it is lit right now. But you could see it right when the featured prelim started. They started to ramp things up a little bit. And I feel like we're about to go real bananas here as we get to this main card. So are you impressed? Like, how would you describe your feeling in regards to what the sphere looks like on television?
Starting point is 00:12:14 I'm still reserving the ultimate judgment, obviously. This was an extremely underwhelming start. And I've tried to not be negative about this because you want to give the UFC the benefit of the doubt. You want to let them prove themselves. You certainly want to let them have the opportunity. to, you know, exceed expectations and kind of wanted to support them trying something new. It started poor for me. Other people may not. And certainly the at-home experience is not the in-person experience. Already talking to some people, it does appear that being there live is is already
Starting point is 00:12:50 cooler. But the opening, the acoustics felt a little off. The arena is a little weirder. But we did start to see some more of those video transitions. One of them was really cool. The one heading into the main event prelim. Yeah. I think there is, I am still optimistic that things are going to get really cool, but I think I maybe just had a bad conception of where we were going, that this was going to, that we were starting with Roll Roses Jr., because the whole night start to finish was going to be this crescendoing thing.
Starting point is 00:13:19 And it started pretty demure, shout out TikTok, and now we're making some moves up. So we're seeing. The main card's going to start here any moment. And I am very, very interested to see how this ends up playing. out because it's the start of the show today. It's very noticeable that this is not started yet. And I'm looking on the Slack channel and I think everybody's kind of in the same position right now.
Starting point is 00:13:41 I just refired it because I wasn't sure that we were doing it right. We're still at the thanks for your purchase screen, which means I don't know if they're stalling it. Maybe they're trying to clean up the mat after Arena Aldana's blood was splattered all over it and probably pieces of her of her skin. And it just, this is the nastiest cut, dude. That was so, it was like the entire thing. We didn't, we got to ask, Jose, because we were talking about this on the preview show. Somebody, like, if there's a cut,
Starting point is 00:14:10 well, they just broadcasted in the big thing. And the cut of all cuts happen. Like, that thing on the sphere wall would look like the actual Grand Canyon. I assume they didn't, but man, that would be all, like, what would be really cool, Mike is if they did it on the outside. Because earlier in the evening, you saw them cut to some video outside. so Bruce Buffer doing intros. I don't know to what extent the outside of the sphere
Starting point is 00:14:34 is doing stuff around this. I'm sure that they're not doing every fight or anything, but it would be really funny. Chris Joyce, love the shades. Love you, Chris. I'm only wearing these because Mike was like, I'm going to rock them all day. I'm rocking the sunnies.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I've got some aviators, let's do it. Yeah, got to rock the sunnies. It's allergy season down here, and eyes are a little bloodshot right now. So we'll just rock the sunnies. Plus, when you have sunnies, you can do this guy. I mean, that's just a powerful move right there.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Yeah, I mean, I sometimes... Or I can take them off and throw them when I'm so stunned by Sean O'Malley's second round knockout of Morad DeVosch Willie. Plus, somebody said on the People's Free Fight show that my head is actually the sphere, so I'm just trying to decore it up to the best of my ability. I like it. Which reminds me, let's talk about the stakes involved for you and I here.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Let's talk about the stakes. We're doing something we've never done before. What we're going to do is, yes, we have bets, and we'll let you know what our bets are as these go on. But Jed and I are going head to head here. We're going head to head and not just for the main card for the entire night. So I thought you were at a fist bump. So I'll go back to the face off.
Starting point is 00:15:41 On face off. Okay. Yeah, there we go. Oh, wait a minute. Okay, maybe we should write and explain. Ladies and gentlemen. Something. Or the screen is black.
Starting point is 00:15:52 It's broken. Is it time for Ben Rathesburg's third down follies? If the bin Rostisberg thing happened, it will be. the funny of the sick of the world. It's just the outside of the sphere as Ben Ruther would be unbelievable. All right, let's see. We got the FBI warnings.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Guys, don't pirate. Six minutes in. Do not pirate. The unauthorized broadcast of this is illegal and stealing is bad. Substantial damages. I wonder if they're really like going to... All right, we got...
Starting point is 00:16:22 I wanted them to bring Gladiator, man. Okay. Okay, we got a wheel. Got it. we got the wheel so it's automatically a wheel I like the graphics here graphics are fun no J UFC let's see the end so
Starting point is 00:16:37 I do love the Nocha UFC design I do and the outside showing the sphere I really want to go to Vegas and just see the sphere see the outside of it I've been to Vegas a tonne I used to live in Vegas for a little bit but this is so different and like if it looks like that if you're actually there that's just really cool because it looks insane
Starting point is 00:16:56 through my television. There's Sean O'Malley walking in. Second highest strike rate in U.S.Benway history. Who's the first? I could look that up, but I'm trying to think who would make sense for that. I honestly don't know. He strikes a lot. I'll hunt that up, Mike.
Starting point is 00:17:20 While I continue to watch my Georgia Bulldogs, maybe we're going to score a touchdown, Mike. We're trying. We're actually in the red zone for the first time all night. Yeah, turn that camera around so you can see Marab walking in. There he is. Marab looking like a freaking samurai. And there's Marab running through some sort of,
Starting point is 00:17:40 he's just running up mountains. Like perfect video package of who Marab is. And there's the inside of the sphere, and it looks freaking cool. You would never guess who the first is. It's Victor Henry. Wow! Shout out Casey Lydin.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Shout out TMMMA. Casey, you must be so... Maybe Casey's back here streaming. we couldn't hear them because we're not the audio in. Victor Henry, first most strikes landed per minute at UFC. It's three at Bantamwayway class. Unbelievable effort.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Wow. All right, so they're going to do something here, I think. Dude, this looks sick. Even on TV, like this just looks sick. It, I mean, absolutely does. Oh, my God. This is the selling point right here. You're convincing me with this stuff.
Starting point is 00:18:25 I don't know why we couldn't have done more like this earlier. Like, dude. I feel like you could have just been doing this? the whole night, but... I loved what they do with the Aldonna fight. Like, they just ass-packed it up with, like, fire and stuff.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Like, it was cool. It was very cool. I will also shout out... We're going to get our first chapter of the movie. That's right. From the beginning of time, of course,
Starting point is 00:18:48 the Earth is only 5,000 years old, so this video is ridiculous. Yes, that's it, man. Coming right through your screen. The original UFC logo, dude, is the beginning of time. I love that so much. Oh my God, dude.
Starting point is 00:19:13 And this, boy, this plays off tremendous on TV. I mean, this is, this is looking spectacular. Oh, my Lord. We can only imagine what it looks like live, because, yeah, for us, this still looks unbelievably good. Gladiator Man's the first, the first Easter egg. In 1 AD, Gladiator Man was born. This is friggin awesome.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Yeah, it's just like being in it. big dope iMacs yeah eagle and serpent this dude just yeah the serpent's right on top of them wow very cool i should watch a movie in this but show me oppenheimer in sphere what a cool open right there that was pretty cool i just no doubt about it that was i don't know that's 26 million dollars or whatever but that was pretty pretty good start to what's happening that was that was sick like super sick and it and it's taken away like they couldn't have done that anywhere else like there's no other venue that could incorporate that sort of thing i love how annick's doing his intro and like you got everything behind them one shout out to annick the pocket square van nocea uci
Starting point is 00:20:39 um love the noche i would i would take that noche pen that's pretty sick So they have, so is Anik up in like the balcony right now? I think so. I think he popped up here to do maybe that's why they had any, they had to jump Anik up to the balcony. I bet this looks good after a Bing Rip, David. I don't think you're wrong about this. I wouldn't know.
Starting point is 00:21:00 I don't support anything that your mother wouldn't support. And Joe Rogan and D.C., they brought them all up there. I think there's a security guard chilling over there. Must be. Everyone rocking the black on black. Everyone is murdered. out for the production. Honestly, like,
Starting point is 00:21:17 this feels like they had an opportunity to do something a little more exciting. I'm not saying I wear a sombrero or anything, but, like, all black everything, you guys couldn't get some sort of festive tie or shirt or the pocket square from Annie's good, but, like, D.C.'s just got a black and white pocket square. He's not even trying.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Like, cool, we can't do something cool. Okay, that's also pretty damn sick. If you were not watching, they've got Sean O'Malley and Rob Dollars really as constellations in the sky. And that sounds lamer than it is. And it looks awesome. It's very, very cool. So starting to see this get paid off. This is starting to show that it towards it.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Okay. So now that we got to see the first video, and I'm sure there's going to be more of this, there's going to be a lot of things happening on this card that we're going to react to and get into. Jen and I are going heads up with our picks. We're going by the tapology point system. We all do it as staff. We all kind of talk crap on that one page in our Slack channel. But Jed and I are going head to head.
Starting point is 00:22:24 And whoever loses, whoever is the least amount of points between the two of us, we got to do, it's almost like it's a, you lost fantasy football for the, for the season. So we're going to, we're going to mix things up. for this first one we're going to keep things very, very simple. What we're going to do is, and we could use some help from the people on this as well. Pitch your ideas, because I crowdsourced. I didn't tell you this. I crowdsourced with my friends was like, hey, guys, bad idea.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Don't do what I did, Mike? Because I just sent to a group message like, hey, guys, what do you want to see me do as a punishment? And my friends were immediately very helpful. Like, I would love to see you make an ass of yourself. Yes. And then I explained the context, but you guys at home. I mean, I'm never going to lose. would beat the hell out of him.
Starting point is 00:23:10 So it's fine. But if I were to lose, I know many of you dislike me, Achilles, looking right at you, buddy. Fire out what your punishments would be and maybe we'll take them into consideration. Well, I think for the first punishment, just to keep it simple,
Starting point is 00:23:25 we decided, at least between the two of us, loser has to sing a karaoke song and just post it all over their social medias for, like, everybody to see. And we can let the people pick the song. Oh, that's an interesting wrinkle. Pick the song. This isn't even a punishment.
Starting point is 00:23:43 You guys are just going to find out of my amazing singing skills. Yeah. So, but if you're picking the song. Oh, they can pick the song. Hmm. Maybe we do like a T. We'll take like the top five. Pull it out.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Yeah. On BTL and make it happen. Yeah. Okay. I like that. But you have a week, you have till the end of the week to do it. So you have to like Friday to have it wrap packed and set up. But the people can decide the song.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Terms agreed to. Terms agreed to. And then moving forward. Also, I'm ahead right now. So I agree to these terms. Moving forward. So basically, yeah, and then moving forward, we could take different suggestions. We'll have the peeps get involved.
Starting point is 00:24:16 I love the pancake challenge. I think that's freaking tremendous. Sit in an eye hop. We go like on IG live or something and you have to sit there and talk to the people and every pancake you eat. Because you have to be, basically, the punishment is you have to be there for 24 hours. But every pancake you eat, you lose an hour. And then you have to stream it the whole time like on your.
Starting point is 00:24:36 So the only critique I have is that. that this is the South. We rock Waffle House and Waffles, not I Hopping Pancakes. Dude, that's fine with me. Again, I'm not going to lose. Can you imagine me in streaming from freaking Waffle House? Like, the shit we will see.
Starting point is 00:24:53 It'll be a lot to have to do. Oh, this rocks. This looks, we are now hitting the transition into the first fight guys. And time has begun. And now we are just in this vast landscape that looks. incredible. Ooh, got a little campfire going.
Starting point is 00:25:16 This is the beginning of the history of Mexico appears to be what we're doing here. This is pretty cool. It's hard to really like tell you what's happening here. Yeah. It just looks. You get almost like it's not exactly, obviously it's different in the build,
Starting point is 00:25:38 but you're getting the feel of what this looks like in the sphere right now. Yeah. And that was the thing I wasn't really sure about is how this would come off. and this, I assume it's like a little better because it is more immersive instead of this small box here.
Starting point is 00:25:52 It's all around you, but it still comes off very well. Now we are, we're advancing through the history of early Mexico. We got some fires, people running. Got some Mayan temples. Yeah. We got some statues. Stuff is happening.
Starting point is 00:26:11 By the way, we have, we have a television here for the UFC. To my right, we have another television for the Canelo fight, which we'll try to give you updates on once that starts in between rounds or whatever. We do have the Garcia-Laura fight on right now to the second round.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Not a ton is happening. The fight's only in a second round. Their interests are like a half an hour ago. They took a lifetime to get there. And certainly the star of tonight is here. And now we're coming through the forest to Noce UFC Billboards. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Because that's what they had. and one-h-h-h-h-80 is no-j-U-C billboards. That's absolutely what they had. They had all of this. They had big billboards and said no-J-U-FC right next to the pyramids. Still, this looks... It's so cool. This is, like, this is really fun and really awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Honestly, Mike, like, maybe this was silly of me at the time. This is what I expected Fight Island to be. Yeah, this is better than that. This is how I wanted Fight Island to be. Yeah. And so this is pretty sick. We're taking a little bit of time here. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:27:21 I'm not sure if that's a... Because Ronaldo Rodriguez and... Oh, Canelo's up next, by the way. Rinaldo Rodriguez versus O'Day Osborne is going to end quickly, so it's okay. We talked about a little yesterday on the preview show, Mike. This was probably the fight I cared about the least on the whole card. But these guys... Heading into this week.
Starting point is 00:27:43 But then they did what you're supposed to do. Every young fighter out there should pay attention to this because they were an afterthought. The main card opener and genuinely one of the fights I cared the least about. And then they spiced things up. Like, Odei Osborne's carried himself with energy. He wants to prove, like he wants to prove that he belongs, not just in the UFC, but in big spots. And I'm now genuinely locked into how this main card opener is going to go. I think Granol is going to kill him.
Starting point is 00:28:13 But I'm pumped about it. Yeah, it's going to be wild. I don't think this has Cop Machiaf written on it. I just think these two guys are very different. They're way different points of their careers. It's not like they're fighting for a number one contendership here. O'Day Osborne can be very action-packed. He's a get-or-get-got guy, which I appreciate about him.
Starting point is 00:28:39 And Rodriguez is kind of an... Every loss in the UFC is by finish. The man gets God. He gets God. And more oftentimes than not, he gets subbed. And that's perfect for what Bernalda Rodriguez does very well. But there is a real world where O'Day Osborne can catch him with big shot, especially with how sort of angry and lively how Ronald Rodriguez is here.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Having said that, you'll see our picks. But I do have bet on this fight. And for the sake of the beginnings, I mean, since we're talking about the history of fighting, let's talk about the history of no-bets fire, Jed. Let's talk about the history of No Betts Barb. The thing that really put No Betts Barred on the map, flyweight unders. They did. They be back.
Starting point is 00:29:23 They're going to be back here. I think there's a very good chance they're going to be back in this fight. I got under two and a half at minus 110. I think that's just a no-brainer of a line to take in a fight that I don't think is going to go even seven minutes. So that's my bet on this fight. I've got a prop a little dash on Rinaldo by sub. I don't remember what the price is. It was like plus 300 maybe.
Starting point is 00:29:46 But it's just, you know, sub props, we never hit them. Like me and Connor, when Connor and I were doing No Betts Barred, we tried a million times. We could never get a sub prop to hit. I'm sure this will be the one time that O'Day Osborne doesn't get submitted. But it just seemed very possible and it was a decent price. But the first walks are being made, Mike. Here comes O'Day Osborne. That is frigging cool.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Yeah. You can see sort of, oh, it's, it's just an interesting, it's so different than any other venue when they're making their intro. They kind of come into this big atrium. I don't know, it's weird, but it looks awesome. And O'Day Osborne is hyped right now. O'Day Osborne is a really interesting, he's a really interesting cat. Like, you ever interview him or talk to him? There's so much depth to him.
Starting point is 00:30:39 He's just a very fascinating guy. So this is really sick right now. And Jose mentioned this earlier. Apparently they've got some drones inside the arena that are flying around. And clearly there's a drone flight of the whole arena right now that looked awesome. Yeah. They're doing really cool stuff here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:58 It's an 8 plus so far on this main card. The main card is really, this is blamed it very well to start. And, you know, by everything they told us all week, Mike, it builds. This is the entry point and everything. will just keep ascending up. So what will be the, we'll be the set up on Sean O'Malley Marab fight. It's got to be friggin' insane.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I genuinely can't imagine. That's why I said this all week too. It's like, I don't even know what to expect. Like, I don't know what to even imagine because they've talked so big about it and there is so much creative people can do
Starting point is 00:31:33 and it seems like they're doing it. Thus far at least. So honestly, my only complaint is I wish they just started doing this earlier in the evening. Yeah. Feels like they could have, but this has been pretty sick so far. We're 20 minutes into the broadcast.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Yeah, I just love like the wide shots going back to everything you see on that on that back wall and the two screens up top. It's just, it's so frigging awesome. It's much more dynamic production happening. We're getting much more shifts of close up to a fire, pull to the crowd, change different angles, instead of the pretty rope sort of formula we have for everything else. Like even the crowd shots look so much better now. They're exploring the space in a really cool way. O'Day Osborne is in the Octagon.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Time for Lazy Boy. I will also. I didn't think of this at all until somebody mentioned it yesterday. I will be fascinated to hear from fighters about fighting in the cage because if you're not watching this, you can't see. It is basically an amphitheater. So the cage is down front-center and there's a wall of people on one side and there's just a smattering, a very small group of people on the other side. That's a very, I mean, that's way different than how you're normally fighting.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Ronald Rodriguez is. This is the, he's a vibe. This man is alive right now. Yeah. He's living more than the rest of us are for sure. Absolutely. Just dancing his way to the Octagon, the biggest smile in his face. He's going to ear.
Starting point is 00:33:07 He's ready to go fist to fight somebody at the sphere in front of these incredible pyramids. This guy looks, I mean, he's so happy. He's very, very happy. He's about to get punched in the face. This guy looks like I feel now that I've been invited. Shout out to Mr. Heinz-Dyger. Steger Stiger, Stiger. You're the man.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Liverpool. So what time? It's like... What's that, like, six hours ahead? Five hours ahead? It's like three. It's super early in the morning. Three or four in the morning.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Good on you. Michael Chandler is You're going to hear a Michael Chandler Scrum on the M.A. Fighting YouTube channel coming soon. Apparently he is backstage talking to the media including our own Jose Youngs who is boots on the ground here at Sphere. A little moonlight,
Starting point is 00:33:56 a little moonlight ambiance here inside the Sphere in Las Vegas. I'm calling it the Sphere. It's so dumb. Sphere by itself is terrible. It just sounds so unnatural to be like, Like, here, that's sphere.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Like, no, just be the sphere. It's the exact opposite of Facebook. You don't want to be Facebook. You want to be the Facebook here. Yes. Don't listen to Justin Timberlake. Keep the the. There's Shorty Torres in the corner of Ronaldo Rodriguez.
Starting point is 00:34:26 You did mention this earlier, and that is one thing that I have. I don't know that I like it, but it is certainly interesting. Because of the setup, a lot of the fighters and VIPs are sitting in the back panel where there's not a bunch of. of people. And so you can very clearly see Brandon Marino Wiley Zhang, Umarna McOmetto of like a bunch of fighters sitting here. They stand out with the lighting. And that's pretty fun to see. It's like who all the people are in the crowd. The best thing we've seen all night is when they went to a live shot of the cut on a Rini Aldana's face. And even Zhang Wei was like horrified. It was absolutely horrified. Well, yeah, we were all horrified. Also, the dogs just got a first down,
Starting point is 00:35:05 Mike. Good. It's six to nine in this football game that's all my. My third screen. Who are they playing? Kentucky. We were playing at Lexington, and Kentucky's giving us a tough fight for the number one team in the country. What was the betting odds here? What was the point spread? I honestly don't remember.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Minus 38 and a half? No, we weren't that big a favorite. Kentucky is at least serviceable, but not the case. But you guys aren't here to listen to me talk about the sadness that UGA is. You're here to talk about. Yeah. Giant O'Day and giant Rinaldo Rodriguez. The tail of the tape is pretty sick.
Starting point is 00:35:44 That actually might be my favorite thing that's happened this far. Oh, man. The tail of the tape looks sick. So I'll write it down. O'Day Osborne, seven years older, 32 years of age. Rinaldo Rodriguez is 25. O'Day Osborne inch and a half taller. O'Day's got the reach advantage.
Starting point is 00:36:01 I forget the rest. We got the buff man. They got the sphere on the outside. So everybody outside. Everybody in driving around Las Vegas could see the Buffman in that blue suit. That just, like, I know other people made the comment
Starting point is 00:36:16 when this came out, if I'm driving down the highway in Vegas and suddenly Bruce Buffer is a thousand feet high and screaming in my field of vision, that doesn't feel safe, Mike. M.M.A. Hugh, huge fan from Alabama, looking forward to seeing Jed's dog's dog walk us next week.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I mean, we're not doing... We're not dog walking Kentucky. We're not dog walking Kentucky. I don't even have a dog walk you. I'm now way more concerned about Texas, but Mike, oh, we've got our picks up on board. Yes, both of us are on Ronaldo Rodriguez by submission. You're thinking round one.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I'm thinking round two. I kind of need round two here to close the gap here. Or we've got a split on the co-main event. And I think the two women's fights are the two of the women's fights are the ones we were opposite on. You're all the lucky. I almost put my official typology picks. I almost like, I'm just going to do Valentina because I want to support my girl.
Starting point is 00:37:12 But I stuck to my guns. We'll see how it plays out for us. Yeah, Ronald Rodriguez is, as you said, is a vibe. He may be the happiest man alive today. He's got a grill. He's got a grill. He's got a diving grill mouthpiece. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:37:28 So, I mean, this guy's killing it. He better deliver because if he goes and gets knocked out, this is not going to retroactively as good. But he has been looking. Brandon Marino's on the edge of his seat right now. Brandon Marino up and ready. Oh, now that. That is wild. The ring car girls have been
Starting point is 00:37:47 tremendous. Like, exceptional. They're all unique and doing cool. Yeah, it's really, really good stuff from that. All right. We'll let you know where the time is. Casey, this will help you out as well. I think Casey's probably like,
Starting point is 00:37:59 Casey's a little bit ahead of us. Case is a little head on that clock because we are starting right now. All right, here we're off. I will let Casey know here. 55, 54, 53. 52, 51, 50. 49, 48, 47.
Starting point is 00:38:14 He's waiting for us, 45. All right, we're good, we're good. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. So, Mike, you know, my first... It's my first time in this chair. How do we do this? So you like the play-by-play, and I'm the color analyst?
Starting point is 00:38:28 We just kind of just yell things as they happen. Do I just need to start screaming Thug Rose a lot? O'Day Osborne. O'Day Osborne. Lazy boy! Oh! Get that! Fold out!
Starting point is 00:38:47 Oh, Triangle! Trangle! Plastring! He can't get it locked in. No, it's locked in. Oh, my God. It's not even a minute in.
Starting point is 00:38:57 This is going to be over. There's no... Oh, let's see. Can he hang on? This is tight. Oh, he's trying to pull the head down. Power bomb? Oh, he's sitting next feet.
Starting point is 00:39:07 He's hooked the leg to keep him. This is just not going to the worse. This is so uncomfortable. He's not off to the side, so like... Elbows by O-Day. Don't punch. Don't you punch. Mike, I don't think either of us are getting points.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Oh, my gosh. Oh, now he's turning to the earhole. Let's see. Oh, he's getting the turn. Also, it looks like Rodriguez is cut too. I don't think that's going to matter given this triangle choke. O'Day better finish this, though. I mean, this is, oh.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Rodriguez trying to sneak out through. I don't know that he's going to be able to pull that. Oh, he did. He's out. He's out. He's out. Look at the heart. Lazy boy just became lazy man.
Starting point is 00:39:50 That was... That was not lazy at all. Holy smokes. I thought for sure that was it. That's got to be demoralizing for O'Day, though, because he hit him with the best shot he could be possibly able to land. I think we might get some points here. Now I'm feeling pretty...
Starting point is 00:40:06 I'm feeling pretty good. I know. Big deep breaths from Ronaldo right now trying to center himself after that. Oh, look at the replay in the bottom left. Bam! I mean a check. hook on the button. I can't believe that that fight's still going.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Yeah. What an intro to my time on the watch party. Like eight seconds in, we got our first jump up. Ode still landed some good elbows from the bottom here. He did. I'm not entirely sure Rinaldo's got everything back under him. Just the fact that he's on top and landing any significant, any offense at all is wild. after that eating that punch from O'Day.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I'm surprised O'Day jumped in for a triangle. I wonder if that was just him trying to prove a point. I don't know. I mean, Rinaldo started to land in his elbows. He had it locked and it was a good, like it was a good attempt. But certainly maybe would have been better just to keep trying to punch his face off. Yep.
Starting point is 00:41:07 We're all those, no, Rinald now clearly has the Cowboys cleared and in good shape is just doing what you do from this position. More elbows down the bottom from O'Day. O'Day is really putting some zip to him from the back. A little classic boss root in action from his back. Shout out to the old heads. I'm a thousand years old of that ref.
Starting point is 00:41:31 90 seconds and counting. I mean, credit to Renal, though. Lazy Boys fought himself back into a fight that I was all but certain was over. Let's see if you can pass this guard right now. Trying to get some risk control. O'Day's getting tricky down there. And Oda is going to be up around at the end of this. So now he just needs one round and to not get finished.
Starting point is 00:42:05 My round two is very live right now. Round two, my round one bet is not really viable. I don't believe at this juncture. I mean, you know, 45 seconds. He can't say never. No, you can't. It's unlikely to hit. So round two, it'll be big for you.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Perfecto will get you right back in it. Yes. Oh, and you know what happened also, Mike? The Bulldogs finally found the end zone. There you go, dogs. Maybe that'll wake for Rinaldura. Maybe that's what he was waiting for. Ronald Redderie is a big Georgia fan.
Starting point is 00:42:42 He's a big Georgia fan. Someone in the corner is screaming, dogs, touchdowns. Now I come to life. Final 12 seconds. here. You know, no, drop back on a heel hook. Just drop back straight ankle lock. Six seconds.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Oh, nice elbow from Rodriguez. He really has come to life as the round go. I mean, also, unbelievable credit to O'Day. Yeah. He didn't even try to get up after that all happened. He was just in that position for the remainder of the round. Yeah. Easy 10-9 for O'Day.
Starting point is 00:43:15 I mean, I would score that a 10-8 for O'Day. if I'm giving my maybe not like how you're supposed to judge it by the rules so I think there's an argument for it I think that should just be he almost killed the guy Mike give the man a 108 yeah but just
Starting point is 00:43:31 it wasn't enough almost killing a man isn't enough I mean you sick bloodthirsty SOB let's see that check leg kick oh bam I mean a perfect right hook look he was out he mean Bam.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Hadges. Like, he is staring a thousand miles away. That's just a nasty triangle. Yeah, and this is where he finally starts scooting, and shimmy's enough to break pop. Thought O'Don Day was going to kick him in the ear there. He didn't. Man.
Starting point is 00:44:05 What a round. What a start. Good stuff. Oh. All right. We're off to the running. We're off and running. We're hearing reports that very possibly the sphere has steep amiciitch and the biggest
Starting point is 00:44:18 chicken that's ever walked on two legs. O'Day leaves a good left hook to start the second round. Just immediately. O'Day looks in very good shape. He looks carved out of wood. He looks like a giant.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Oh, he has a big combination. Deep single for Rodriguez. See if you can get him down. Ode is looking at the guillotine grip. He can get the best. Oh, this is tough. Oh, he's, I mean, it's deep in there. He can maybe even have
Starting point is 00:44:48 room to change to the power grip. Oh, Rodriguez is so sick. He's sick. Now he's looking for one maybe of his own. Odey's in the turtle now trying to stand. Rodriguez's got the O'Drege's got the reverse seatbelt and moves to the back. Oh, no, he's got a back. Come on round two.
Starting point is 00:45:05 No, no, no. Oh, yes. Oh, get that hook good. Oh, there's one. There's one. He's going to try and do the fence scrape. I mean, just look right at Andrew Schultz. He's sitting right at that cage side yelling at you.
Starting point is 00:45:16 He's trying to the fence scrape. Oh. But actually, that's really nice from Rodriguez. He's got the hook across the body and blocking, and now he's got the full body triangle in. I didn't see him lock that in. That's sneaky. Well, with almost four full minutes and the back body triangle.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Oh, left hands from Rodriguez. Oh, it is not liking this at all. Big elbows, full mile. You may not get the submission, but you may get a round two TKO, Mike, because O'Day doesn't... Big elbows. Ode doesn't seem to have the tools to escape this. He has turned into the body triangle, though.
Starting point is 00:45:52 So now he's just in a mounted body triangle. Yeah. Which can't feel good. Nope. Rodriguez. Oh, another hard elbow. Oh, multiple albums. Oh, and a turn.
Starting point is 00:46:03 He can't keep his back. Oh, dude. How does this is possible? O'ne. Don't they rolling again? Rolling again. This is a... Oh!
Starting point is 00:46:18 Rodriguez is a freak. He stays with him. That was a really fun effort. just not quite enough explosion there. This fight is way more fun than I thought it would be. I thought it would just be a murder. Ode is scrapping in there. Oh, Odey trying again to turn.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Again to turn. He really needs to explode right now. Oh, and now Rodriguez is really trying to make you smart, Mike. Oh, I thought Odeo's going to turn it over again. Ode is not fighting the hands all that much. 225 left here in round. number two, 21, 20.
Starting point is 00:46:55 O'Day, maybe, maybe getting tired. Yeah. O'Day maybe getting tired. Oh, oh, that's... Oh, boy. Oh, no, O'Day turned it. I mean, we're across the chin,
Starting point is 00:47:07 but I don't think it's going to be enough to crank that one. Yep. Good. Good on O'Day. O'Day, defending well. I mean, this really has been incredibly fun. Rodriguez, 23 to 4 on significant strengths.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Again, going for a crank pole, not there. that triangle this is wild scrambles Ode is really contorted in these body triangles and trying to get out and he's getting space to turn but Rodriguez is staying with him enough
Starting point is 00:47:36 I mean Ode is wasting so much energy I mean Ode is going to be gas if he somehow survives the next 90 seconds 90 seconds left here in round number two oh no he bailed on it early my under two and a half that is flyweight unders are getting
Starting point is 00:47:56 the reason we walked away from flyweight unders because certainly they should like two very clear rounds where this fight should have been finished and thus far we've yet to have one still can we still got about 60 seconds left for rinaldo to find it but ode is now settled into a full backpack fight the wrist plan shift his body weight around.
Starting point is 00:48:26 Ode trying again. I feel like Rodriguez is like trying to let him make that move and then he can try to sneak something. He is absolutely attacking as soon as Ode makes a move then he's trying to fish an arm under. And it's working, but 30 seconds left. It's going to be a grimy third round. I mean, the third round is, oh, Odey,
Starting point is 00:48:51 he's trying to Mote! Oh, he's got it. He did it. What a turn from Ode. With 20 seconds left, Mike, I suspect. Oh, good. Oh, he was throwing. Oh, he almost got the arm.
Starting point is 00:49:05 He tried to throw the arm over. Good punches from O'Day as soon as he turned around. This is a scrap. It's a good fight. I mean. Rodriguez might be the one that has slowed down. Both men might be a bit tuckered. 19, 19.
Starting point is 00:49:23 The crowd inside the sphere is very excited. O'Day getting sort of like, helped back to the stool. I'm sure Rodriguez is getting a little bit of the same. This is going to be a wild third round. I mean, whoever has the gas tank's going to win. I am sure that the judges scored as you did round one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:43 I would personally still have O'Day up by a point, but, yeah, man. And even realistically, I would actually not be upset with the 10-8 for, for Rodriguez. So there's a lot of dominance in that round. I mean, I don't want to throw you up, but I snuck a peek over at the laptop there, and Kentucky fans are very excited about what's happening right now. Look, where... Over midfield.
Starting point is 00:50:04 It's not our favorite thing, but it's okay. We keep having some penalties that aren't the best, Mike. But... This is just... You know what is the best? This freaking fight card right now. Good things are happening. I love this setup.
Starting point is 00:50:18 This is probably one you have to go back and... If you're not watching, if you're just watching our reactions, you probably go back and watch that second round. I mean, watch, obviously, the first round, too, but the second round, just the body triangle work is magnificent. Yeah. Oh, a little fist touch. All right.
Starting point is 00:50:34 This is the fight of the night thus far. And there have been some good fights thus far, but I already think this is the fight of the night. And five minutes to decide the winner here. I think our big looping punch from Rodriguez. And this is why Casey's the best in the business. We are like lockstep perfect time right now. Absolutely nailed it, Casey.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Absolutely nailed. to you, buddy. The best. Oh, Rodriguez really pursuing these takedowns now. Yeah. But he is clearly a little more tired. Those takedowns are going to be harder to come by.
Starting point is 00:51:06 O'Don is just going to, I thought Ode would be gas, but he looks spry right now. Yeah. He's got some pep in his step. Ose. Rodriguez threw a fastball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:15 I mean, as a, who. We might get a, might get a little finish here. O'De, I mean, Ode is looking really sharp.
Starting point is 00:51:27 and really fast. Yeah. Does not appear to be that tired. I mean, the man's body is obviously an unbelievable shape. Apparently, he put in the roadward. He sure did. Rodriguez is not doing a lot right now. Yeah, he's just getting punched and leg kicked over and over again.
Starting point is 00:51:45 O'Day looks like he could run him a 10K right now and not even break a sweat. And I mean, if he just does this, look, it won't win any awards. It won't be exciting to just jab, low kick and move. but undeniably this would win him the fight, which would be huge. He's four and five in the UFC. He's on a two-fight losing streak. Ooh, cheeky little right hand from Odina.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Very saucy. Rodriguez's got to do something. He's just got to go ham. He's just getting picked up right now. Ode's jab is really finding the way. Oh, Rodriguez is at the left hand. That one got his attention. Good left hook.
Starting point is 00:52:25 That's what he's got to do. Just go bonkers. Oh, shit. The wheel kick from Rodriguez. He just misses, but I love the effort from him. Yeah, just, I mean, just get grimy. Just get a little dirty. You can't play this outboxing game with O'Day.
Starting point is 00:52:42 But you can roughhouse get a little fun. Another, another real kick again going back to the well. And Ode just popping the jab in his face. Don't be, oh, left hand from Rodriguez. They're over the top. He, I mean, Rodriguez slinging those punches. Yeah. I mean, that's his guy.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Oh, Ode is shooting a power double. I don't love that move from him, but... I don't. It was a great entry. I think it's better that he got stuffed on that takedown. Yeah. Give him some thing about it. And I lost my...
Starting point is 00:53:14 Wow. Flyweight unders were not back. Yeah. They're done. They're officially done. This has just not been a good year for the flywood unders. Golly. I feel like Brian Roy about Tetsu retire is like the last hope.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Oh. Oh, that Kentucky player is hurt. good for him getting up he got leveled I mean Ode is really just trying to keep as far just keep this going oh good left hand from Rinaldo another good left hand for Rodriguez man I think he's losing this round but he's it's close he is chipping away close
Starting point is 00:53:49 Ode take down very easy one too really good timed snatch single but Rodriguez is immediately on a Camaro group trying to elevate oh he's so close And now O'Day gets the arm straightened out and he's square. Man, this is a really fun fight.
Starting point is 00:54:06 We got about 90 seconds left, boys. 90 seconds. Oh! He can't quite get the arm locks in a good place. Ode is aware. At least it's enough for him to get back to his feet. He's going to create the scramble off this for sure. And he's back up.
Starting point is 00:54:21 And we're back up. Seventy seconds to go. I mean, a big last 60 seconds here could steal the round in the fight. I would say O'Day is maybe slightly ahead right now. now but not ahead enough to feel comfortable just running away. Nice light kick right there. That was.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Odeh changes levels again. He's timing those very well, but that was not a queen's shot. I sprawl from Rodriguez, but you can tell Rodriguez is so tired right now. And there's a world where this is going to cost Ode the fight. The optics is that Rodriguez is the one pushing forward this round. I mean, I know it's supposed to be damage, but. I don't know how he did that, but that was interesting from Rodriguez. Don't eat him.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Nope. He's trying to sneak to the back. And like, again, the optics here. Yeah, if he can land like Rodriguez. Five or six shots. O'Day may have thrown the fight down. Oh, there we go. Both trying. Nobody's doing much, but Rodriguez is swinging big. Oh.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Swinging big. Left hand from Rodriguez, a couple body shots. We're going to split you city here. I think so. Rodriguez did not land there. He finally landed a punch and a good little elbow down the stretch. But as you said, the. The operative word is optics.
Starting point is 00:55:32 The optics could be questionable here, Mike. What a friggin fight. It was really fun. This is a great. We've got a drone zoom in from the back all the way to the cage. It looks really, really cool. It looks really, really cool. It also is making me a little dizzy.
Starting point is 00:55:47 We're getting that Michael Bay circle around the cage. Pick-time, fun-time stuff. Good fight. How do you score, bud? I'd give it to O'Day. But if I have to predict how the judge are going to score it, I think Ronald was going to get a sputty. I actually have an exact agreement.
Starting point is 00:56:04 I believe I would score this fight for O'Day Osborne, two rounds to one. Bam! I would probably have a 10-8 in there, but... God, that right hand was so nasty from O'Day. I do think the judges... I think Ode may have thrown it away in the last little bit there with those takedown attempts just because Rodriguez was the guy coming forward, and it looks bad a lot of time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Really think we're getting a splitie for sure, though. Yeah, yeah. This was a very competitive fight. We're taking, this is like the longest we've taken between, uh, this is like, we've got to put the hair up, Mike. I'm getting hot. Oh, okay. Got to, got to throw it back as we get into the real meat of the card, you know? You gotta pace yourself.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Get a pace yourself. Well, you know, the bright lights, the bright lights. I wasn't prepared for the bright lights of Showtime. That's right. It's a whole different ballgame. It is, you know, being in that chair over there, it's, you don't have to deal with the lights. Don't deal with any of this. The pressure.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Hack coming on. You see the drone flying in the background? Oh, yeah, you can. That's pretty cool. And we're getting the whole ambiance. Looks like, I want to see an erupting volcano effect. They've got to have one, right? Like, surely.
Starting point is 00:57:19 I would say we are for sure going to splitting because we were taking a lot of time to get here. I see Tisha Torres and Raquel Pennington sitting next to Ali Adel-Aziz back there as well. All right. Chris Tione, Oat to raise the hand of the winner. Here we go. Ooh, unanimous. 2927 has to be O'Day. Yep.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Yep, O'Day won. What? What the frig? I have to see the scores. 29. That, how is that possible? How do we get there? You give him a, you give Rinaldo a,
Starting point is 00:58:12 108 and 2, which I don't even mind the 108 and 2, honestly. But not O'Don. But not for O'Don? For one? Wow. That's friggin nuts. As Joe Rogan just said, he were trapped in a triangle for two minutes. Like you were in deep submission threat for two minutes.
Starting point is 00:58:33 You almost got knocked out. And that's not the 10-8 round? Wow. What's the internet saying, Mike? I don't know. I just want to see what the cards are. 2928 and 2 2927s. The hell is going on here?
Starting point is 00:58:52 That is nuts, dude. I don't care for that at all, but... Two judges gave Rodriguez a 10-8. Not one gave O'Day. So technically those two judges, if they scored it, if they were like consistent, that should have been a draw. Yes. That's bad, man.
Starting point is 00:59:16 I just as soon as I said 2019 I was like okay yeah well you had to have gone to O'Day I was able to praise the judges for giving him the 10-8 astonished I'm sorry yeah that's a stunner
Starting point is 00:59:31 I mean you know obviously this is the guy you want to win in general so for the narratives sure you know O'Day Osborne's not going to do make a title run but Martin Lawrence getting on I think he should have gotten that one.
Starting point is 00:59:48 What did old Marty say? Ryan Clark in there? Fights as crazy as the sphere. Louis Tan. Who's Louis Tan? No idea. But he scored it for Rodriguez and calls it a banger. And Henry Suhudo just wanted...
Starting point is 01:00:04 He's just trying to get his sweets on the broadcast now. Which, you know, it feels like he should be able to do that pretty easily, being Henry Suudo. But he wants his tweets on the broadcast more than any other fighter. in UFC history. Justin Gachie gives his stamp of the rule, which got to mean a whole hell of a lot to those guys. So Justin Gachie's the
Starting point is 01:00:27 one of the top three action fighters of all time. Yes, undeniably. Undeniably. And there you go. My money for the number one action fighter of all time. Oh, yeah. I actually don't even think it's three. I think it is him and it's Robbie Lawler
Starting point is 01:00:44 and that's the conversation. There's a celebs. Taylor Juan. Dominic Mysterio. I feel like I know that guy, but I don't know that's why. Yeah. And there's this dad Ray. How about that?
Starting point is 01:00:59 The whole fan. I do know that guy. Of course, they didn't sit together. You got to play the cave. Is Ray Mysterio rocking an NW.O. Neckwoods? Mad Hughes. He was in the house.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Roy Jones Jr. was kind of chilling out in the background there. Man, we're really just staring at Matthews right now. Yeah. He looks super comfortable, too. He looks super comfortable, too. He's like, all right, guy. Like he did a half-hearted fist and then it was like
Starting point is 01:01:19 you can leave at any point in time. All right, now we're going to get, this is why we came to the dance right here. This is the low-key bangers of all, the low-key-banger of all low-key bangers. Daniel Zelley-reversed Esteban-Rievich. Yeah, it's almost not even a low-key. It is just because of the, you know, the card,
Starting point is 01:01:36 but like... It deserves more love than it's gone. This was my choice heading in as the front-runner for Fight of the Night. I think it's going to be really, really fun. Yes. I like Riebeovich a lot. Enzel Huber,
Starting point is 01:01:51 Uber talented. Already had the setback, too. So now he knows how to be better about things. Very, very excited about this next one. Oh, it's so good. Let's see what the peeps are saying here. Let's bring up some peep stuff as we wait for chapter two of the history of fighting. Oh, I keep forgetting that there's a history of fighting that we're all being educated.
Starting point is 01:02:17 on it's going to happen and it's going to be delightful slash the history of me and the future of me that's the most important yes that was my favorite thing all fight week at the contender series when dana reveals this and jose just asks him what is the future of mexico it was unbelievable so what is the future of mexico tune in okay which is a great answer he was not ready for a follow-up tune in is a perfect But you guys need to pay attention because you can start investing in the appropriate companies that are going to make money in the future. Because we're about to find out the future of Mexico.
Starting point is 01:02:56 There's our first power slapping. My guess is it involves power slapping. Yes. It's just John. Just lost $100 on that decision. Sorry, Trent. Oh. It's a bad one.
Starting point is 01:03:07 Yeah. I don't like, I don't necessarily think it's that bad. To score the fight for Rodriguez, I'm actually fine with that. I think that is a closed contest. It's just the way it happened. Yeah. And again, I'm not even opposed to giving Rodriguez a 10-8, but to give him one and not give Ode. That is very, very difficult.
Starting point is 01:03:29 A robbery review? Do you think this one is robbery review worthy? Let's find out. Maybe, probably not. But maybe. Certainly controversial. Just like, because the other part of it, too, is like when you're looking at the scoring criteria, how 10-8s are supposed to be delivered. it's supposed to be the threat of a finish
Starting point is 01:03:51 is part of the submission factoring there. And legitimately, Ode's submission in the first round was more dangerous than Rodriguez ever had. Rodriguez had almost a full round of control, but very, very odd. Just another time where I wish the judges could explain their thought process to me, but they would not be doing that.
Starting point is 01:04:13 We're about to get this fight, which is going to be fun as hell. Canelo is, On deck. Oh, yeah, because Canellas should probably be walking in the next 15. You know, it usually takes me. Is that around 11 p.m. Eastern ring walks, but you know how this works. I hope Canello just kind of like, like, you want to carry Buranga for like a couple rounds, fine.
Starting point is 01:04:36 But just ice this dude inside of five. Let's wrap this up very quickly. Yeah. We got other things to do. I frankly thought this UGA game would be not a concern anymore. And it is 13 to 12 in the fourth quarter. So I still have this on and this is happening. That's happening.
Starting point is 01:04:54 I've got to talk to you people. Yeah. I got to make sure I'm beating Mike and all the things that matter. Also, the villain, Sheen Al-Shadi, he has Daniel Zell, Huber. So we're all Esteban Rovich fans night on top of the fact that I also have a bet on him. Chapter 2. And this looks sick. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:11 You got a little Diadillos Moritos maybe going on here? Whoa. This rules. Yeah. it's hard to even explain it. Yeah. A lot of Day of the Dead stuff. So we're getting a story about the Day of the Dead and the link between the past and the present.
Starting point is 01:05:39 Tons of Candles. And I mean, the visual is a very cool Dei de los Martos thing. Aesthetic happening. This can't be wanted on. I said earlier this week, like, I think that it's smart to say it. You want to promote this as a once-in-lifetime experience. You want to make people want to come particularly when you're charging what they charge. for this.
Starting point is 01:06:04 But I and also you know, maybe it fails. That's a very cool visual. But as long as it goes over well, you bring this back into the rotation. Maybe not once a year, but you it'll be it'll be less costly moving forward because you've already done it. You already don't have to reinvent how to do the lighting. You know how to do the lighting. This looks unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:06:28 So there's in in the visual image there was a, uh, basically an image that broke into flower petals and there are physical petals raining down into the visual experience as well like the experience in there but it's still going this looks awesome wow getting a 4D experience if you attended noche UFC
Starting point is 01:06:50 Rogan just Rogan's just like laughing yeah man as he should and now we go right into the promo on the screen and I love how they're just keeping it here this is very cool be the first mexican lightweight champion he's got a damn good chance very talented young man man this is this whole setup is so frigging cool yeah i'm really excited to talk to jose afterwards
Starting point is 01:07:27 yeah um just be like you man like what's what's the thought this is uh you know how was it how cool was it to be there i should be talking uh to john annick next week too uh to kind of get his perspective on everything, which will be fun. I mean, I just assume everyone that was there. Everyone there seems to be having a great time. Man, it's so weird to look at the lighting in this arena this way.
Starting point is 01:07:57 You'd see every person in the crowd because there's a big LED screen projecting bright images out like this is. So they also have like two different video monitors and they're sort of playing different different things, which I really dig. And there's Breivich just killing Terrence McKinney. This is cool. That's a nasty knee. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:38 Canella is still, we're still doing the highlight. Yeah. You set there. I would say we're like 15 minutes before the locks. Kentucky's driving and we are very close to actually losing this game. But big play, third and eight, we need to make a stop here. All right. This needs to be their WrestleMania.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Yeah, I like... Oh, we got a little morrow action over the BBC? Oh, good. Let's go over there, Peeby. Right, walkout time. This is going to be... This fight's would be fun as hell. I also would love...
Starting point is 01:09:23 I want to hear Jose's perspective on does this feel like a love letter to Mexico? Because, like, from my perspective, certainly there's a very Mexican-centric, but, like, you know, I don't have any connection to that in there, so I'd love to hear somebody with that, but I mean, this all looks absolutely incredible.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Ravich's coming out to Bobby Knuckles song to Roy Jones Jr. Oh, RJJ? Well, RJJ, who's here, by the way? Mm-hmm. I wonder if Roy Jones Jr. is just rocking out to his own song right now. I mean, for sure. I absolutely, it cracks me up every time I think about it, the Roy Jones Jr.
Starting point is 01:09:59 That's a rap song. That was, like, semi-popular and that he used to work out to himself all the time. He's got a couple of them. Yeah. Oh, there he is. He's rapping in his own. You're wondering if Roy Joe Jr.'s walking out to it. That man is sitting there wrapping his lyrics.
Starting point is 01:10:17 What a king? Give him the mic. Just grab the mic and wrap over his own beat. Incredible. It's a great song. And things are ramping up. Oh, I don't care. What's this flag?
Starting point is 01:10:33 What's this flag? Get rid of this flag. For those who are on the edge of their seats. Automatic first down. I really need it. Oh, it's a false start. I don't care. There are three minutes left.
Starting point is 01:10:46 Kentucky is down one and they just punted at the 50, which is a max coward move, frankly. I couldn't be happier about it. It's like laying up on a par five when you're 190. I mean, it was fourth and eight. Now it would be fourth and 13 after the fall start. Wow. But this is Max cowardice.
Starting point is 01:11:05 Yeah. We need one first down. Against the number one team in the country, you're not going for it. At your house. at your house. That crowd has to be booing the absolute tar out of this. He'll happily fair catch that one at the 14.
Starting point is 01:11:22 What is a... There you go. What's your prediction for this one? Ooh, Alexander Hurst. The scenery does look... It looks amazing, man. I agree. So I have Daniel Zell Huber.
Starting point is 01:11:32 I actually have a bet on... I prop out of this one, Daniel Zell Huber, by decision, at plus 125. I think I picked Zell Huber, Casey, by decision. Which I'm kind of surprised about. So I do have a bet on Riebeovich.
Starting point is 01:11:45 I think the line here is very off. Just because I think Rievich has a very good, like he's a very, very good striker, a ton of volume aggression in here. Zell Huber is a much bigger man, which is the concern. And I think the more talented fighter in a straight pickoff, I'll pick Zell Huber. But I got Rievich at like plus 210 or something like that. That's pretty good. It's like two to one.
Starting point is 01:12:09 I feel like he's got better than two to one odds here to get his hand raised. and I really shout out to Fandul who I would you know you know use them a little bit I would really really like somebody to bring back the bonus prop bets for a while you could bet on fights to win before to win fight of the night that bonus and I love that bet because it's just a fun bet yeah and this would be my bet for it I really want sports books to bring that guy back because Vandal has a bunch of really cool, like weird things you can bet, strike totals and stuff.
Starting point is 01:12:47 But give me that one because I would like this. And here comes Daniel Zell Huber. Rocking the sombrero, the Mexican gum shield, and the flag draped across his back. Great Eric Nixick in the corner. Canello's just like, come on, man. I'm ready to do this. Just in the locker room warming up.
Starting point is 01:13:14 It's like, how much longer I'd do this for? a little bit of a while. You know, they got to get, they gotta make a meal out of it, but. They have already. I say it looks like, looks like we're very close
Starting point is 01:13:27 to getting Berlanga to walk and. I love Berlangos coach acting like Peter McNeely's coach before he got destroyed by Mike Tyson. Look, if Belonga pulls off this upset, we will be screaming about it. We will play action for the dogs. Wide open.
Starting point is 01:13:44 What a pass, Carson. Why did you run out of bounds, you imbecile? I mean, just brilliant fight IQ here. It wasn't, but I mean, Carson Beck, look at this. This is a dot, Mike. Look at this is a dot. DB's outstretched hands just into a bucket. If you guys stick around, we're going to start doing watch parties
Starting point is 01:14:05 for college football Saturdays as well. Yeah, we'll just do it for everything. Can we make our own NFL Red Zone watch party? We're just sitting here and going through the highlights. I think we can. Maybe we'll get like a Twitch account. We'll live stream on Twitch. Is that still a thing?
Starting point is 01:14:20 I have long said MMA fighting needs a Twitch channel and I'll just get on and cook people in UFC 5 or whatever. I actually haven't played the latest one but I used to be good at UFC 3 I think was the last one
Starting point is 01:14:34 that I was like good at. Connor used to kick my ass on those UFC games like all the time when they're very silly games. They don't replicate grappling well at all which is unfortunate. Zell Hubert
Starting point is 01:14:52 entering the cage. I mean, he looks stoked as well. He sure does. What's our Mexican victory count here? Because I don't think it's been very good. Although Rodriguez getting a W is critical, but... Two, two wins. Two and four. The Mexican fighters are two and four thus four?
Starting point is 01:15:12 Yeah. It's not exactly what you want. All right. Let's take a look at... We got here. We got Zell Huber, six foot one. Reuovich, five foot ten. Big... 25 years of age, Zell Hubert, 8-inch reach advantage. Big reach advantage for Zell Huber.
Starting point is 01:15:36 But both these guys under the age of 30. Is this completely crushing the Canel event right now in every possible way? I mean, yeah, well, one. In terms of like entertainment and stuff, absolutely. And we're a bad audience for this question. Like, I love boxing. I genuinely do, but this was my focus. The UFC is my focus all weekend.
Starting point is 01:15:57 I have been tacitly watching this. It's been on in the background. But, I mean, personally, the UGA game means more to me. And then these fights don't mean a lot. And, you know, they haven't been that exciting. And this is so different. It's such a spectacle. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:13 It's a once in a lifetime event. I mean, this is winning for us. If you, you know, spoke to a Hispanic boxing fan or a Mexican boxing fan, maybe very, very different. But I think for us, for our channel, for you, I suspect everyone watching this probably agrees that the sphere. is putting Canello in a locker right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:37 Particularly because Canelo and Belonga have spent the last 30 minutes not doing anything. This rivals the technological advances in the smart cage. Love that. Love that. Okay, go earlier, I want to say it was John Morgan who posted a photo and that in the prelim fights, they had stats, like, fighter stats up on the big screens and stuff showing heart rate and things like that. And my immediate reaction was, wow, that's a vibe. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:07 My immediate reaction was, just think what the PFL could do with the smart cage in the sphere. Yeah. They could put Habib on the entire screen. The Habib watch screen could just be the background. Timing is absolutely spot on from E. Casey Liden, no notes. And these dudes are just chucking them already. I look right into it. Zellkeeper were firing the jab immediately. Really just throwing a thousand miles out.
Starting point is 01:17:31 Reeveich would like to get into a fist fight right now, sir. Neither guy ever, neither guy has been finished in their career. Sturdy, sturdy young men. Oh, Zell Heber's jab is beautiful. Finding a home early. Another jab. Oh, good right hand from Reivovich.
Starting point is 01:17:52 I mean, there's no feeling out process whatsoever. Oh, good combination. Nice head kick. Zal Hewber changing some stances, really sticking that lead, lead arm out. Jason Herzog's going to get a workout in this fight. He's already getting one.
Starting point is 01:18:18 He's moving around like Sean Amalley in there, just lateral. It's like natty ice. Ravich keeps eating the hijab, but he is not deterred whatsoever. Oh no, he's going to keep throwing Eraldus Chapman heaters. Oh, let's get that first down dogs. Left hand from Rievovich. Oh, good bodywork from Zepovic.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Zell Huber there, snuck a right hand and under the elbow. Another jab from Zell Huber. Zell Huber is really owning the space right now. Oh, another dig in. Man, Zelliger. Oh, good knee to the body from Zell Huber. Ravich is already looking like a man who doesn't want to be hit to the extent that he's being hit. Nice light kick.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Good return from Rievich. Rievich should do a lot more of that because he's having to wade through fire but the legs are out there from the big fellow. Zell Huber's using his spacing really well. Well, we absolutely fumbled that ball. That's 100% of fumble. We recovered it, but that's 100% of fumble. That's a sneaky little left hand from Zell Huber.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Yeah, Zell Huber. Oh, good combination from Zell Huber. Looking really good. Rievich is trying to make this a scrap, but he's having to do these leaping hooks to get a shot in. and Zellahuber is just pinging him with the jab and then mixing in some other shots off the jab. So many stances.
Starting point is 01:20:08 Really good performance from Zell Huber through three minutes. I believe a good left hand again from Riebich. Or Zell Huber, excuse me. Riebovich. Oh, good body shots from Riebich. Yeah, that's what he's got to do. Look, it's hard to find the man's face when he's so big, but you just... Well, that was good.
Starting point is 01:20:37 left hand. Yeah. Another one. Rivas doing a really good job of throwing a combination to work past the first punch coming up short. But he's having a lot of shots from Zoluber. Zolkiver's jab is just a laser. Oh, that was nice.
Starting point is 01:20:53 Good combo. Not a knee to the body. Very close to landing that to the face. Like kick from Rievich. Oh, the big digging to the body again from Riovich. Very nice. Both men work in the ribs. now. I like that a lot. Oh, oh. Good left hand just sends a jolt through Zell Huber.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Yeah, that's a good shot. Oh, good knee from Zell Huber. But his legs locked up for a second there. That step in knee from Zell Huber has been real nice. Is. And he keeps, there's a big window because Riebovich is having to charge in so long. He's got an opportunity to land it. Well, Reovic, that was like a five-punch combo from Rievich that ended up getting home that last shot. Ooh. See a few more front kicks from Zell Huber. That'd be good.
Starting point is 01:21:53 Oh, good left hand from Zell Huber. These guys, I mean, I can't even call this action, honestly. They're both just hitting each other a lot. I mean, this is, so they just popped up the stats. Oh, my gosh, this exchange is wild. The numbers are almost identical, and both men are just landing, blocking, digging in. This is an extremely close round. I'll give it Zell Huber 10-9, but not confident in it.
Starting point is 01:22:19 Yeah, I will score for Zell-Huber, but if you want to score that for Riebevich, you're not wrong. I think I try and predict what the judges are going to do. Yeah. And I think the judges will go Zell-Huber because certainly early, he was setting himself apart. Rebovich worked his way very well back in later, but based on the early start, I'll go Zell-Huber. I would love to see the significant strike totals again. They might be within like a punch of each other. Yeah, probably one.
Starting point is 01:22:44 Like, they were very, very competitive. 32 to 30, which is... Yeah, it was right there. Digging into the... Both men dig into the body. I love... I love rib boasters. I mean, that was actually...
Starting point is 01:23:05 There's one exchange that they both landed like a 10-punch. That was actually sick. Remove of its blocked like four of those hooks to the body inside. Like, that was... That was awesome. During that last replay, when they were digging body... shots each other. My dogs are about to survive as we get a first down to ice the game. Oh, there's a flag.
Starting point is 01:23:25 That's coming back. That's for sure holding. Couldn't. For sure holding. Ooh, Zellie were coming out with some salt. You got that pep talk from Eric Nixick. And now he's like, all right, let's go. This is the part that I would be really interested to hear from Jose or see more.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Because, like, during the fights, these are, this is just a UFC broadcast. There's nothing different. It's all action focused in the cage. I wonder what is happening, you know, outside is there. What are the big screens doing? Because we're not really seeing much of that. Oh, nice right hand from Zell Yoder. Really good right hand from Zell Huber there.
Starting point is 01:24:09 And leg kick. I mean, Zell Huber is just consistently working down the middle. Oh, that little step in elbow was nice. That was pretty nasty. Oh, both men landed. Good combo from both dudes. Jimmy Lennon Jr. is in the ring. Oh, with the belt.
Starting point is 01:24:28 we're making some announcements happening. It's the biggest belt I've ever seen. It's a belt is substantial. Jesus. That belt is letting you know it's there, boys. I mean, oh, Riever. Oh, Zalhuber bounces back with the right hand. That was a nasty right hook from Rievaevich to Zell Huber just eight.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Zell Huber looks like he's cut on the bridge of the nose now. He's got a chin on him. I mean, that was a nasty right hand. Riever just put a lot of people down with these shots, and Zell Huber wasn't even fair. base. Zelliever's going to get back to that jab. I really like Riebevich is working in combination like this.
Starting point is 01:25:10 Because every first punch he is throwing, he's missing. But he's throwing five, six of him. And as it goes, it gets on. Good body kick from Zell Huber. Ooh, that was a, oh, nice left hand from Zell Huber. Oh, right back to the body. Oh, they're both going back to the body. Oh, Zell Huber takes to the body.
Starting point is 01:25:41 Yeah, this is as fun as I thought it was going to be. Yeah, this probably isn't going to win fire the night because of like the craziness that was Rodriguez Osborne for two. But it's just this is like incredibly technical competitive. This is why lightweight's the best weight class in the sport guys. Yep. These two dudes are probably like top 30, top 35. And this is unbelievably high level awesome stuff.
Starting point is 01:26:05 These are like the 35. This is like these are like top 30 guys. Yeah. I think on topology it's they're like 50 and 51, which is yeah, kind of not. That's, yeah, that's insane. Zell Huber working a lot of combos, too. Oh, what a big power run by UJ up the middle. Oh, good stepping.
Starting point is 01:26:24 Oh, Zell Huber caught him with the left hand. Yeah, that was a nice left from Zohuber. I have no idea how to score this fight. They're both just hitting each other a lot. Oh, good body kick. Oh, nice right hand. Zell Huber's kicks are very nice, and they're a weapon that Rievaevich does not really have a comparative point to.
Starting point is 01:26:47 Oh, Zellier. That was so sick from Riebevich. Just inside the phone booth, shifting, throwing. He just keeps throwing. He missed like seven punches in a row, but he hit him with the eighth. And he's also in the pocket and slipping Zell Hubert's counter just like getting in the phone booth. This man is an extremely talented fighter. Yeah, really good combo from Rivas.
Starting point is 01:27:14 This fight is so good. This fight is my favorite fight. Oh, Zell Hubert, the counter left. That was nasty. Oh, good right hand. This fight is my favorite fight of the night. Oh, another right hand from Zell Huber. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:31 Kick to the body. Zohuber should probably be doing more of that snapping front kick to the body. 100%. Like, he really... Question mark. Because any time Rievich gets him inside, he's having success. But Zohuber needs to just keep him out good left hand from Riebevich. I feel like there's going to be an eye poke coming the way that they're both just...
Starting point is 01:27:49 extending those fingers. Yeah. It was a Ruevich shot, you know, threw off a lobo earlier. Otherwise, it's been pretty tidy,
Starting point is 01:28:00 but Zell Huber's got a lot of pointy finger action. Oh, just miss with an elbow. That was probably too ambitious. Yeah. But man, it would have been cool. Oh, big knee from Zell Huber. That was sick from Zell Huber.
Starting point is 01:28:18 Yeah, I mean, this really is inside Riebovich's winning, outside Zell Huber's winning. That's a Zellieb around for me. Very close. I'm giving that one to Revivage, actually. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:30 I think he was doing a lot of good work early. Zell Huber came on Strong late, but I've got it won a piece heading into the final frame. I have no idea. Wow. Harsh words. But he said it like so nicely. Let's get after this dude a little more. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:56 I mean, every time they show the sphere, like outside. and it's now showing highlights of this fight. Again, has to be a hazard for me driving on that road. Yeah, it's probably a hundred accidents. I'm seeing Zell Hubert Riebovich just chuck hammers at each other. This is one of those fights where there's no wrong score. There is no wrong score. It could be 20, it could be 2018 Ruvich, could be 2018 Zell Heber, could be 19s.
Starting point is 01:29:23 It could be 20-20. Who knows? Honestly, like any score you have, I'm fine with it. As long as there's not one 10-8 and then not another. Oh, my God. If one guy gets a 10-8 and the other does it, I'll start to have questions. All right, round three. Oh, Zoh.
Starting point is 01:29:41 It's crazy. Oh, that's shocking them. Oh. Fungle back. Fungle back from Rieuvich from Nalibch. Oh, that elbow landed that time. That elbow did land. I mean, Nickson.
Starting point is 01:30:02 Oh, that was a nice uppercut from Rievich. That really sent his head moving. Zell Huber got a chin on him, boy. Turkey's in the house. I see him. It had to be. Drinking a Diet Coke. Zell Huber got, oh, another right hook.
Starting point is 01:30:17 That one, a little loopier, but. Oh, Zell Huber, that right hand. Zohuber has the chin to succeed. Oh! He dropped him! He dropped him! Who's the elbow? He got it.
Starting point is 01:30:29 Riebovich stepped in and Zell Huber tied the elbow. Rievich is up somehow. Oh, man. He got floored and it's fine now. Holy, small. smokes. Oh, Zelluber's looking
Starting point is 01:30:39 for an elbow on this bridge right here. Can't do it. It doesn't lay in a good knee. It's common. Oh,
Starting point is 01:30:45 now we did get the finger in the eye. You called it. I called it. Why did you speak it into existence, Mike? Because I'm a... Reberich being an absolute king
Starting point is 01:30:53 if he's trying to wave this fight back on despite just getting tagged. Here it is. Look at it. He's a little... Oh, no, we're going to get the eye.
Starting point is 01:31:02 Oh, that's just a full thumb to the eye. Yeah. That is a full... He, like, touched his nose, his cheek, then his eye. That was just...
Starting point is 01:31:08 Nope. Nope. There is. Bha. Try and fight me now. Yeah. Action back on. Oh, good right.
Starting point is 01:31:22 He laid the elbow again. Oh, bodies work from Rievovich. I think Zellupi were taking over right now, though. Yep. That would be for real. Oh! Hammers from all! You got to stop this fight, dude.
Starting point is 01:31:50 He's getting caught. He's moving around. He's still standing. How is he's terrible? How is this possible? How is he still alive? He just... Oh, he fell!
Starting point is 01:32:05 He ran to the fucking cage! Herzog! How are you letting this fight go on? Like, one punch. All right. This is... Zell Huber is legitimately just doing this, trying to survive. Oh, my God!
Starting point is 01:32:27 Herzog, why are you letting this man take this beating? Oh, my God. What a change moment. Oh, James! Just light, oh, nasty bodywork from Riebeovich. Zell Huber is out on his feet. Oh, my chance for Zelliver! He almost fell over, but he, oh, there's another one!
Starting point is 01:32:44 He is stumbling. He can't even put weight into it. He stumbling so badly. Oh, right hand. My head. I mean, he's firing. Oh, right here from Zelliver! Ravich is staying in his freaking grill right now.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Riebovich is just putting hands on him. I was right about that. I was right about this big five of the night. Oh, my God. Yeah, for sure. Sorry, O'Day. Zell Cooper punching his way back into this. This is the round of the year.
Starting point is 01:33:16 This is the round of the year. 77 significant strikes from Rebovich in this round versus 20-something from Zal-Kuber. Oh, Zal-Huber. Oh, good. Just rock'em, sock-em, roboting right now. Oh, my God. Oh, big left hand from Zal-Huber.
Starting point is 01:33:34 I mean, this is just full-on just chockered. Zell Huber. Big combo. I can't believe Zell Huber survived that. Oh my God. Riebovich continues to just get at him, though. This is nuts. That's right, Joe Rogan.
Starting point is 01:33:56 That's right. Zell Huber did drop him. Zell Huber dropped him for a second. Riebovich had him dead for a minute and a half. Oh. I don't want anyone to win this fight. Yeah. In particular.
Starting point is 01:34:09 Sudden victory. It'll draw. She can get no points. Yes, I love that. But he will get. Oh! Oh, Revers! Good left.
Starting point is 01:34:16 Oh, good right. Oh, my God. Tell you, we got a chin on him, boy. I mean, Reba. Oh, they both landed that time. Oh, you almost landed that elbow again. Guys, there's a reason neither of these dudes have been finished. They are tougher than a $2 state.
Starting point is 01:34:34 I cannot believe how this round is gone. Oh, I was like, I thought Zell Huber was about to just start running away with this. Oh, my God. Absolutely. hammering Tom's. Oh, big shots! Breivovich just hocking with them. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:34:50 Oh, what a finish. What a finish, boys. As you're fighting at the night right there. That's one of the best fights of the year right there. That's one of the three best fights of 2024. So, oh. Holy shit. That is, what a...
Starting point is 01:35:11 Oh, my God. That was, that was, uh, do-ho Choi Cub Swanson. That's a Hall of Fame fight right there. Yeah. I mean, I always want to go back, you know, you don't want to be a prisoner of the moment. That might be my frontrunner for fight of the year after that. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:35:32 Because it was really fun, competitive high level. Oh, there's the elbow. There's the elbow that just floored him. Look at the chin on these boys. Hot damn. Oh, that's that right hand. He was already on skates. Bam.
Starting point is 01:35:47 Reavit just has such a killer instinct, man. absolute nutcase stuff and my dog's got it done just a grimy 13 to 12 win holy smokes but we did what needed to be done that was nutty bam bam that was that was that was so sick uh how did you score mike i don't know I I scored the first two rounds for Zellieuber, so I think I scored 29-28 for him. I have a 29-28 Rebovich. I also have a bet on Zell-Huber,
Starting point is 01:36:36 so maybe there's like a partial bias there. Look, I have a bet on Riebovich. If Zell-Huber loses, Sheim doesn't get any points. I'm a huge fan of that. Oh, I love that. I don't think I'm unhappy with any outcome. Honestly, we'd be totally okay
Starting point is 01:36:50 if somehow we just get a draw. Yeah. Because that was nuts, guys. let's find out Splitty Sputty Tony Revenge Tell you where
Starting point is 01:37:09 Chris Lee Shit All right I lost a bet Plus 210 baby But she can't out shot He lost points He lost points
Starting point is 01:37:27 I make money I love making money But he's gonna get He'll probably get Oh He's gonna get the fight of the night bonus points Yeah I'm sure
Starting point is 01:37:34 For sure And if he doesn't Then This is the best event of all time Yeah if he doesn't that something sick is about to happen. And it could because the next fight up has a chance to be insane. Holy crap, dude.
Starting point is 01:37:51 Best fight, one of the best fights in history, says Joe Rogge. That's high praise. I mean, that's probably overselling it a bit, but there's a very real chance when I go back and watch the other kind of contenders we've got because it's been a fairly light year in the fight of the year contendership thus far. That may be the frontrunner at this moment in time. Like, the first two rounds are so competitive, so to shout out Jose Young's high-level mixed martial arts. And the third round was still high level, but mostly just a wild insane brawl.
Starting point is 01:38:25 You're not going to do a lot better than that. Canello is in the ring. Mello is now in the ring. I mean, getting dropped. Think of the chin on both of these dudes. Reimovich eats steps into an elbow and immediately just pops up and is fine. Yep. And then Zell Huber is clubbed around the key.
Starting point is 01:38:45 He at one point falls over because he's stumbling and still just kind of works through it. Absolute unreal chin. Oh, my God. I need to like play like the next two chapters of the movie. I need some time to decompress. Because like I, so I've told this story a couple of times in various shows. I don't remember what of it. Whatever the event, I'm really bad at the numbers of events.
Starting point is 01:39:17 all. The Max Holloway-Dust and Porriere 2 fight for the interim bell. I was at that event. 238? I'm just awful at the number. So at the event, maybe 236. And that fight was the second best fight that's round in history. Thank you, I mean.
Starting point is 01:39:36 I can't really, we can't really hear it. Yeah, we don't have great audio. But best round, it's still probably not true, but it's more true than best fight. and it's not I mean it was an awesome round well I need some time to decompress because at the the Porier Holloway 2 fight was the second best
Starting point is 01:39:55 fight the year's unreal fight and it was hard to even be invested because right before that was Israel Distineo versus Calvin Gaston and that fight was so freaking bonkers that I was emotionally drained I am a little emotionally drained from that Mike yeah and now we're getting Brian Artega
Starting point is 01:40:11 versus Diego Lopez yeah so like give me a long movie here to decompress to just reset myself. Look at the champ. Champion forever. Banners hang forever, Mike. Sure do. Well, all Mohammed's got one.
Starting point is 01:40:28 Tisha and Raquel Pennington. Hey, Jito! He shaved his head again. Oh, a little patchy-mix with him. Okay. Oh. Yeah. It is just an absolute travesty that Brindon
Starting point is 01:40:45 Marino's not fighting at the split. I know. It's frigging crazy. Oh who I don't know if that was a hot mic or if that was intentional but we just caught up
Starting point is 01:41:02 that was such a great fight yeah they need a let down they need a let me down a moment too there too man that one was nuts I keep talking shouts to the people tweeting me oh yeah take a walk shout to the people tweeting me about
Starting point is 01:41:16 great call calling that fight of the night yes but also it didn't take a genius to know that that fight was going to be pretty sick. Man. And now we're about to get the Belonga fight. Both fighters are in. We're doing the announcements. Belonga is getting announced right now.
Starting point is 01:41:33 We'll keep you updated on that. I know that most of you are probably not here for the Canello action. And let's be honest, we're not really here for the Canelo action. But if something cool happens, if Canello doesn't just carry him and we get a real fight, I guess I can center up here, make that all easy all the way for Mike. Alexander Hirsch, you're right. This is a coffee break. Mike has left me in the trenches taking grenades,
Starting point is 01:41:57 but, you know, it's fine. I don't need coffee at Red Bull. And I got the vibes of that fight. Casey, we got any questions or anything to throw up while we kill time? Because the UFC itself is killing time. We're just, we've got the Alex Pereira commercial rocking right now for UFC 30. Oh, this is the 307 trailer.
Starting point is 01:42:20 man that's in like two weeks Mike I guess three weeks the 307 yeah like we're just they are just running like we're gonna need just because of that fight alone we're gonna need like next weekend off
Starting point is 01:42:43 I'm a huge fan I've said this plenty of times before I always think the UFC should take a week off after pay-per-views I know many fans you know if you guys don't agree it's fine I think it's better to have a week off after pay-per-views to let us decompress let us enjoy it because if there's an event after this event,
Starting point is 01:43:02 their hearts wouldn't be in it. Your hearts wouldn't be in covering Apex 103. Dan Martin's favorite fire, Julianna Pena, by the way, is on the screen. Well, she's my favorite fighter right now because I have her in my fantasy draft. Oh, there you go. I didn't even talk trash to Shaheen. Oh, well, let me correct this right now. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:43:22 Tough, tough sledding for Jeanne, Al Shadi. Oh, all right. here's your main card for 307. Pereira Roundtree, Pennington, Pena. Featured, they're giving it to Evloia and Algemane and Stirling. Completely agree with that, by the way. A hundred percent.
Starting point is 01:43:40 Katlyn Vieira versus Kayla Harrison and Roman Delizze, Kevin Holland, is the main card opener. Excellent. That's a great main card right there. I think that main card makes all the sense of the world. Let me pull up 307 because I'm really bad at this stuff, but I want to see what other options they could have maybe gone with. There they are.
Starting point is 01:43:59 Stephen Thompson, Joaquin Buckley, Nate Landware, Austin Hubbard? I mean, that's, that's going to be a banger. Okay. Jose Aldo Mario Batista buried, like, not even the pre-Land-main event. Yeah, that hurts my soul. You should probably honestly just move that fight off the card if you're putting it in that space. Carlos Sparza, Tisha Pennington. I actually now, I'm upset that we're doing Kevin Holland, Roman DeLizzi on the main card.
Starting point is 01:44:23 Jose Alde-Demario Batista, there's no excuse for that to be buried. he's one of your five greatest fighters ever he's currently a ranked fight that's disrespectful and I hate it I saw a question earlier what's the next fight it is Diego Lopez versus Brian Ortega as we're about to get chapter three of the story here and apparently we're still waiting on the big
Starting point is 01:44:46 UFC 309 announcer but are we going to get a promo or are we going to get the Dana showing up at the press conference and just dropping a nugget on us well so we've heard I I assume we're going to get something extra special because not confirmed, but we have heard reports that Steve A and John are both in the building.
Starting point is 01:45:06 I suspect if they're both in the building, it may be we're going to set them next to each other. We'll get Daniel Cormier or John Annick and do a, here's a big. Daniel Cormier. It would be funny as hell. I don't know if they would commit to that, but you get John Anick,
Starting point is 01:45:19 you do the, you know, they used to do, they use this. And we're getting a big screen change. I think now we're a movie three. Oh. Ooh, wow. I did not anticipate them talking about colonial rule of Mexico. Yeah, in comic book style. I kind of thought they would just avoid this.
Starting point is 01:45:44 Also, for posterity's sake, Canelo Belonga has started. The first round is 30 seconds left in it. Not a lot is happening. I'm peering over at Canelo right now. There's like no punches being thrown. No, they're just hanging out. Yeah. have you seen this photo of John Jones at the Spear?
Starting point is 01:46:17 We'll get that damn hat. Holy smokes. Man has the tallest 10-gallon cowboy hat I've ever seen. Also, he doesn't look that much bigger than Alex Pereira. No. He looks like a middleweight in that picture. He looks, a man looks skinny and a giant 10-gallon cowboy hats. I would say this is the weakest one, just because the artistic styling isn't that interesting to me.
Starting point is 01:46:44 It is, to your point. you know, very, very comic booky. And I love comic books, but all the other artistic stuff has just been, I don't know, feels like that plays better in this big screen than this one is. But shout to them for actually addressing something that would not have assumed they would have. I love the bell ring, though. Bell ring. And this transition into the Mexican flag is pretty sick.
Starting point is 01:47:11 That's awesome. Pretty sick. Oh, I love that backdrop. Yeah, it's a really good backdrop. Good backdrop. Look, they've done really good, man. I'm impressed with the effort from them. Yep.
Starting point is 01:47:25 Round two, Canelo and Barlanga. Maybe we'll actually get a couple of punches landed in this round. That'd be pretty awesome. Just like do the thing, Canello. We've got things to do. Oh, here it is. We're getting the whole story here. We're getting the whole story.
Starting point is 01:47:47 This was so nuts. Surely they just brought Dan Igay to be in the crowd, right? Like, why isn't Dan Iggy? He bet. Dan Igie should be like, the special guest timekeeper or something here. They, I firmly believe that they should do, well, you know, it's not pro wrestling,
Starting point is 01:48:04 but why isn't Danny again the referee for this fight? Yes. Like, he can't get licensed. You can't just let him referee a fight? Come on. So, let's have a little fun. Someone asked in the pre-fight show, what would be the funniest outcome of the last three fights?
Starting point is 01:48:20 And I said the main event would be Marab charges across the cage to try to tackle Amali and he runs through the fact. but then just runs right back in there and keeps fighting because that was something Marab would do. The Chichenko Grasso, I couldn't really think of one, and then I realized they just double wheel kick each other unconscious.
Starting point is 01:48:39 That'd be so funny. And then in this fight, it would be Brian Ortega's getting introduced and he's bounced it up and down, and then Danny Gage just runs over in a mask and just, like, throws them out of the cage and starts fighting Diego Lopez. Those are all great options. Or you just, you go full mission impossible,
Starting point is 01:48:56 where he's in there bouncing around. No, no, he's in there bouncing around and he just takes off the mask and, oh, it's actually, it's been Danny Egan this whole time. Dan Ege is an animation of Dan Ege coming out that window right there, a little steeple right there. Yeah. He's just hanging out there waiting for a day. Yeah, Easter egg.
Starting point is 01:49:13 Waiting for a take it and make the walk so you can jump out. I will say if I'm being critical, this is obviously a picky. I was promised a $25,000 Easter egg hunt. And I know that that's not for the at-home viewer. that's live in-person experience. I haven't, outside of the, of the original UFC promo guy in the first video of the evening, I haven't seen none of jumped out.
Starting point is 01:49:39 So I don't know if they're just not apparent to us, but I wanted more Easter eggs, Mike. It's possible. Maybe we're just missing them. Maybe they've been there the whole time. I mean, I was very distracted by the previous fight. Yes. You know what I'm not distracted by?
Starting point is 01:49:55 Canelo Berlanga. Yeah. No one is. This fight is deeply uninteresting. Canello is just having a... Manlo is moving him around the ring and doing nut, like just picking him slowly apart. Yeah, he's just jabbing him.
Starting point is 01:50:08 I'm going to jab him for six rounds, and then I'll finally punch him later. Barang is throwing some heavy shots. It's not really landing much, but let's see if Diego Lopez can make... Oh, wow. Damon R. and Damon Martin notes, Jeff Bezos sitting front and center. You know, given the UFC contract rights coming up,
Starting point is 01:50:38 obviously Amazon already in the one. championship game for however long the Easter eggs are the friends we made along the way made a lot of friends, you know? Yeah, we have the best freaking viewers. They really are.
Starting point is 01:50:55 Here comes Diego Lopez. Crowd is already going banana. They're dancing, they're singing. Where are we on picks for this fight? Do we, are we on the same side here? I'm on Artega. You're on a Tega? Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:10 I'm also on Ritega. I'm definitely losing because you, the Dumont win killed me. Yeah, but if Grasso wins, you can get that back. I need, oh, I need Chivchenko to win. Oh, you have Chivchenko. Well, Shivchenko wins. What did you pick her by? Decision.
Starting point is 01:51:29 Okay. Well, I mean, I get you right back because I had, I had Dumont by decision, so. It puts me, yeah, puts me in the game. So a lot of stakes. Yeah. Valentina Shopchenko can break my heart again. That would be pretty hilarious. Oh, I will have to quit her if this happens.
Starting point is 01:51:47 She has to quit betting on fight she's involved in. It would come down to the main event and it would come down to like if Sean O'Malley wins. What roundy wins? And he finished him. Yeah, it has to come down to. Diego giving lots of hugs here and he's like, come on, let's move this along a little bit. Man's very happy to be there right now. It's a tremendous hairstyle.
Starting point is 01:52:10 Jayal Lopez is he's going to go in there. He's going to ice Brian Ortega, and then he's going to go corner Alexe Grasso. I do have a considerable lead over you in points at the moment. Got a 100 point lead. 100 point lead? I had, I've four correct on the night. I've pulled two decision calls.
Starting point is 01:52:31 Oh, yeah. You sir have three correct, and you've pulled no decision calls. I'm getting, I got an extra 50 points on the decision. Son of a biscuit. So you are behind. I'm way behind. You need. I need.
Starting point is 01:52:43 You gotta win the shipchum. Shepchenko has to win and O'Malley has to win in round two. Yeah. You're behind. So early, early scenes are starting well. Let's put in our no points that we've been scoring fantasy. So we can see where the hell we're at right now.
Starting point is 01:52:59 Okay. A.K. gets zero for the, uh, Sheing gets, for the second time tonight. Zero, but he's going to be getting the,
Starting point is 01:53:05 uh, we can't do it officially, but 50 for a bonus that I have to think. Think is how humor's getting. getting. Yeah, he's getting fight of the night. But you also have to think that even though there's a couple of goose eggs there, the most painful one to look at is Raul Roses Jr. with only 100 points.
Starting point is 01:53:21 You draft the man's thinking he's going to deliver. I mean, I don't know, you also drafted Yasmini and zero for her as a minus 500 favorite is not what you're hoping for. That was him trying to just hit a single, like a sacrifice a little bunch of single. Yeah, trying to get a runner on base, maybe a chance to. score again later in the end again still a lot of year left a lot of fights haven't been announced some things can happen but uh stunningly nobody has either side of this in the fantasy draft too risky i mean it is and i think that's why but like there's a really good chance of this could be fight of the night so you could have just drafted one of those guys on that obviously
Starting point is 01:54:04 drafting Brian Rake is really risky. It is risky, but obviously Lopez tries to fight every other week. So if you draft him and he wins, these are a real chance he fights in December or earlier. Oh, Canelo is just doing Canello things. Ciallo just jabbing his face right off of his body. Casey, this is the first time where bad pacing is good. Actually, yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:31 Good point. firmly agree. You have to imagine 309 announcement is probably coming after this fight, right? I would very, very much expect that we're going to get a little bit of a gap. They do the 309 announcement and, you know, give it off. Oh, we got a knockdown from Canello. Yep.
Starting point is 01:54:59 Oh, that was. Yeah. Sneaky little cheeky left hook. Well, long as seems, you know, seems to be okay. He feels, he seems upset. But yeah, that's a, he just kind of loops it around the guard and then gets another one dug in here. All right. Just put him away, Kennell.
Starting point is 01:55:17 Come on. Come on. Let's wrap this up. Get in this. Anytime you're off. We're going to be focused on the task at hand. Oh, apparently, Rall Roses nearly pulled out of his fight in Noce, sprained ankle and sprained wrist, some other sort of leg injury, seeing those out.
Starting point is 01:55:35 So perhaps an explanation. Tough scenes. Perhaps he's probably out for the rest of the year. Yeah, I mean, if he's injured, there's not a big window to get back in. Yeah. Yeah. Do you hear his comments earlier this week, the man out here saying he wants to become the youngest UFC champion in history, all that. Also saying the comments that kind of jumped to my mind a little more, wants to retire at 25.
Starting point is 01:56:00 Once to get in, get the belt, retire at 25. Man, his lofty goals. I mean, I want to retire. I'm not 25 anymore. I would have loved to retire at 25. so guys send us more money super chat more so I can retire you also have to remember that he called for a $50,000 bonus
Starting point is 01:56:23 after that fight too it was ambitious I'm just going to say it was a bit ambitious look for you were a minus 1,000 favorite you beat a guy that you should have ran over 29 28 I do 50 Gs I got a lot of respect for the Chihuis thing is fun it's catching on people are into it the whole crap crowd was there did it yeah i think that's a great i don't i don't get it i don't i don't
Starting point is 01:56:49 understand it but people are into it it's fun that's a great gimmick the hey dana hit me with that 50 g he's like that's that's probably not yeah that was like that was like wakkeem buckley calling all connor mcgregor we're just like oh this a bit of a miss particularly it's like imagine him getting oh i like this little setup i love the tail of the tape and the big fighters I'm just a huge fan of that. Imagine Arrosa Jr. getting 50 Gs and Daniel Zell Hubert and Esteban Ruevich getting the same amount of money.
Starting point is 01:57:18 Those don't feel like their equivalent efforts this evening. Yes. All right. The buff man, getting everybody ready. There's Ali. Oh, there's Michael Chandler, front and center. Oh? Right next to Brandon Marino.
Starting point is 01:57:34 Jed's favorite fighter. You're going to get Chandler and Steepet like in the same crowd shot. Mike, I cannot tell you how much I love. looking forward to when we do swing rounds with Michael Chandler. And I am like, hey, I want to be very clear. I don't care for you. Let me just. Let me just.
Starting point is 01:57:53 Let me just say this. I have reached out to Michael Chandler and he is very interested in this. So we're going to try to make this happen before this Charles Oliver fight. I'm, none of my interactions will be filmed with him or put on our channel. But I'm going to say a whole lot of C at the top. say, walk on. He duffs a fairway wood. Yeah, walk on.
Starting point is 01:58:18 It's right up there. You don't get the cart. Walk to it. Brian Artaic looks ready to go. What's your, what's your prediction on this one, Mike? You've got decision. Oh, I've got submission,
Starting point is 01:58:30 so you can get some points here. If Brian Ortega submits him, I'm done. Like, I'm probably done. If Brian Ortega gets a round three submission, I don't think if he gets any submission, I'm done. You may, in fact, be mathematically out of it
Starting point is 01:58:43 if he gets any submission. but if you win the decision as much as you hate chanler damn phahim hey look i i've said this a lot on various broadcasts i think more more fans should hate fighters want to be straight i want to be extremely clear you shouldn't hate them in the way that weirdos do things don't like get into this all of the rigged yeah the octa girl yeah the octa groves been spectacular don't get into their dms don't be a weirdo. Don't be like, you cost me money at the betting. Like, don't be that guy. But I like to view fighters the same way I view sports teams. Like, because that's what this is. As a fan of a sports team, it is fun to, like,
Starting point is 01:59:24 it was fun to hate Alabama all these years. It's fun to hate fighters, man. Just be reasonable. Don't hate them as person. Hate them as fighters. Yes. We are underway. Man, look at the flow from Diego Lopez. Orte's got some flow too. Yeah, but he's all branded up. Whereas, Lopez is just out here. I think I should rock the mullet. Next time I get a cut, just take all the sides down, leave this guy.
Starting point is 01:59:50 I love it. I, oh! Lopez! Tragic! Ortega's incredible chin just got to run! Oh, he's beating the shit out of this man. Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 02:00:06 He's going for the chump! Lopez? But Ortega is surviving. And going to do the Ortega thing. but Lopez just... Wow, he nuked him real quick. I've seen Brian Ortega get murdered in the cage. I didn't think you could hurt his chin.
Starting point is 02:00:22 Big punches. Wow. Oh, Ortega getting crafty from his... Oh, big punches from Lopez. I feel like Lopez should stand him up. Yes, Lopez should absolutely not be playing this game right now. This is 100% how Brian Ortega wins fights. This is how Brian Ortega wins fights.
Starting point is 02:00:40 This is how Brian Ortega wins fights. You're not even landing points. I'm anxious right now. Stand up. Stand up, dude. Stand up. Yep, he's not letting him stand. I don't understand this.
Starting point is 02:00:50 Stand up. You're just letting him recover. Oh, Ortega busted open over one of the eyes. Left eyes cut open somewhere. Can't tell the position of it. Oh, oh, no. Now Lopez trying to get to the back. Ortega's got him mounted.
Starting point is 02:01:06 Yeah, I think, I think Ortega's going to be able to get legs in move here. He's fine. It's in three quarter. Oh, three quarter. Big white hands. Putting big hands. on him. Oh, he's trapping the head.
Starting point is 02:01:17 Trapping the arm. Ortega's trying to clear that knee. Toe in the cage, not being called at all. Cheating's fine. Cheating is loud. You should absolutely stand away from him right now. What is he doing? Oh, upkick from Ortega.
Starting point is 02:01:30 Man, where the hell did this Diego Lopez come from? From losing on Contender Series to just lighting the world on fire. Now they're a big, good upkick from Ortega. Like, he's very close to doing something that. Alexander Volcanovokovsky didn't do Max Holloway didn't do like Ortega, Landon's shots off his back. I mean
Starting point is 02:01:53 Ortega clearly has his wits back about him this just doesn't seem like Lopez should I don't know why he's done. Now he's letting him up. I mean, one of the first punches he threw honestly may have busted that orbital. Seeing some nasty swelling on the left side or like it was one of the first punches he threw. I mean he just, he just
Starting point is 02:02:14 It's all gas, no brakes. Yeah. Oh, good jab from Ortega. That was very nice. Oh. Retega just having a slug fest, just doesn't seem like the smart choice. Well, you know,
Starting point is 02:02:25 when you got an uncrackable chin, you believe in it until it gets cracked. That's true. Well, man, Lopez is so big. He is an enormous person in there. Brian Ortega is not a... Oh, good uppercut from Ortega. Rotega's not a small feather way.
Starting point is 02:02:38 Oh, good left hand from Mortiga as well. This is where I thought Ortega could succeed. I thought he's the cleaner, boxer of the two, even though defensively, obviously, it's pretty tough, but Lopez is bringing force to bear immediately out of the gate. Did Lopez have the O'Day-Ozborn moment? No, no, no. He doesn't seem like he punched himself out, but, like, he is certainly not throwing a ton
Starting point is 02:03:02 of volume, whereas he came out firing instantane, like, red start. Yeah, because, I mean, it looked like this is, you're going to be UFC 300 all over again where he gets a quick finish. Yeah, I was about to, you don't get it. I was about to be like, he got to give this guy a title fight. If he finished his brown Retega in 60 seconds, it doesn't matter. Give him a title fight, man. This man can do no wrong in there.
Starting point is 02:03:22 Final minute of the round, didn't. This is where Rortiga's just trying to work himself back in. Lopez has won the round, you know. Ramegia just trying to build over in Boxing Land. Canelo's dragged Rolanga into the six round. Ooh. Good left hand. Good left hand from Lovet.
Starting point is 02:03:43 The man is just, he throws heaters for hooks. That's all he does. Get inside. Those hooks are coming hard and fast. Take his corner talking through it. As expected, Canello has won all six rounds. Yeah, that's unsurprising. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:04 It's one all five rounds. He's got a 10-8 in round three. Do something cool, Belonga. Like fall down. Lopez is just the exact same hook combination every time. Oh, I like the kick to the bar. Body kick from Brian Ortega. All right.
Starting point is 02:04:24 Ortega survives as he typically does. Ortega survives. Is that a 10-8? I mean, I'm very liberal with them. I would personally give that a 10-8. Oh, that replay on this fair, dude. I actually doubt the rest are going to give it a 10-8. Oh.
Starting point is 02:04:40 I mean, it's a right hook. Ortega just launches himself into a right hand and then the follow-up left hook. And again, he's fine. because his chin can't actually be cracked. I would say one judge probably gave a 10-8. I mean, I don't even know what to think, man. Anymore, yeah. Frigin O'Day Osborne didn't get a 10-8,
Starting point is 02:04:58 but Ronaldo Rodriguez gets one. I don't know. I would give that a 10-8, though, for sure. No one's, no one has, like, died. Nope. Everyone's, there has been people hurt in every single main card fight. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:14 Like, badly, badly, badly. Everybody is really digging deep to not, be the guy who dies on the main club thus far. Yeah, that's right. Johnny Nax said, don't, don't, no cheating.
Starting point is 02:05:31 No cheating. No streaming. Illyably. You're going to hear me say something and never say. Credit to Brian Ortega. Like, that man, that was like very smart fighting from him
Starting point is 02:05:42 after getting dropped to occupy Lopez, keep his legs involved defensively, sucker Lopez into grappling with him, like letting him recover. I don't care. for him and I think he's bad but he's objectively very, very good. He's smart.
Starting point is 02:06:01 He's just objectively good and smart. I just think I can't get over it. Oh, Lopez is the big right hand. He just got to hit by another monster hook combo. And he ate it. Just. And that time he ate it but just like he just walks into fire. Please don't let this man fight Ilya
Starting point is 02:06:16 he might kill him. Like David Lopez hits hard. Ilya is Ilya freaking Tepurria. Good job from Ortega. Oh, good right hand The issue for we're taking now is he's clearly behind And he's shown nothing to really threaten Lopez And like if he just jabs
Starting point is 02:06:36 I don't know that he's going to win this fight By just trying to outpoint Lopez That's never his game You should probably, you know Throw a leg kick or two I need him No, he needs to get Lopez tired So we can get that third round submission
Starting point is 02:06:49 That will cry my soul That would be so sick be so sick oh there we go a level change and Lopez shucks it off and immediately fires three uppercuts at him see Lopez yeah
Starting point is 02:07:02 it's good work it was good work from Lopez that's a lie yeah what that is Lopez does not appear to be breathing hard might need to get a couple new cars there by I think they're just trying to convince him of things
Starting point is 02:07:21 I mean but yes I do agree Ortega should probably be up in that action here oh for sure his only way to win is to make something happen outside. You just throw on those leg kicks, which is smart. I think these are going to be open for him. And like, he could win this round this way, but that first round was just so bad.
Starting point is 02:07:45 He may very well be in a 10-8 hole. Lopez with the loop and the looper. Almost halfway through round two. Things have slowed down touch. Well, you know, Diego Lopez comes out in the first 60 seconds. He is trying to murder everyone he's ever faced. And now he's settling into a more reasonable pace. Oh, right hand.
Starting point is 02:08:13 Oh, good left hand from Ortega. That was clean. You got a red nose for Diego now. I mean, this round is off for grabs with two minutes to go. Yeah. Good head cake, but Brian Ortega just eats it. Almost caught it, yeah. Like just, and that, you know, the foot wasn't the shin, but
Starting point is 02:08:31 Ortega has a wonderful chin. You got to give him that. One of the best. It's just a very, very good chin. Oh, good combination, Lopez. Ortega lens, too. The middle. you enter the moment you enter the moment you enter his airspace left hand Lopez is swing
Starting point is 02:08:50 oh good leg kick that leg kick that like that hurt him so Ortega kind of rolled that weird I don't know that he just felt the positioning but that just makes him stronger pain is his spinach he's pop like pop-eye it's true he he really does have some big gnaug energy to him of the I just get beat until I win he's throwing lots of leg kick now from Diego. I mean, yeah, after you had dropped him with one. Ortega's got to go, man. Ortega is just falling behind.
Starting point is 02:09:25 Oh, good. Surround is even, but now he's behind in it. But Ortega's not getting the grappling exchange, which are really where he can thrive, and he hasn't had any of that happen for him. A good check from Ortega. Yeah, he's got to. It's the only chance he has.
Starting point is 02:09:45 He needs a big 60 seconds, or he's going to need a finish. in the final round. Yeah, he's going to go. Granted, you know, Brian Ortega, may get a finish, but... I mean, that's what you're thinking. He's digging himself a hole.
Starting point is 02:10:00 I am, and that submission is coming. That was a good straight, long jab from Ortega. He's showing some good stuff out there just... He fell behind early. Oh, we got to knock down. Yeah, it's over. And that's the done. Oh, no, it's gone.
Starting point is 02:10:15 He was waving off... I don't know. That was very weird because the ref was waving as if this was done. But now we're up and honestly, Bollinger does seem to be okay or at least kind of have his feet under him, not totally cooked. Just at the end of the round.
Starting point is 02:10:31 Yeah, just at the end of the round. I guess that was waving off the safe by the bell. It just goes to the cards. This is just so bad. It will be unfortunate. Well, Mike, I think... Talk about the Cadillify, not this fight. Oh, I was going to say, Mike,
Starting point is 02:10:47 you're actually now cooked because either we both live. lose or Ortega pulls off a third round south. I don't think there's a world Ortega's winning a decision at this point because I have it two rounds to nothing with a 10-8. Yeah. We've got a camera zoom in on the left leg of Ortego, which certainly was showing some swelling, some bruising.
Starting point is 02:11:09 It's been some weird judging tonight, though. So maybe there's a, you know, maybe some people think that Brian won round too. Yeah, he got some arms in the way there to deflect that. maybe your Tatega gets a 10-8 and gets a draw and then we all I mean that is a nasty leg kick that was beautifully timed
Starting point is 02:11:31 right when the weight was on it Canello in round eight I gotta tell you I didn't see this run from Diego Lopez coming he's obviously so fun with the mom star fight but he lost on Contender Series lost a couple in the regionals a guy with a lot of talent
Starting point is 02:11:48 but he never done it but he has just lit the world on fire since he got in the UFC proper and a little respectful handshake and a fist pump and here we go Brian Rortaker that leg is swollen shit you can see it from this angle and he is walking a little thing it was harder to see that's the shin the shin has a bulb on it I mean it is nasty it's like somebody jammed a softball into his shit yeah um Brian Rate and Brian Rtega and Brian Rtega need to finish there's I don't believe
Starting point is 02:12:20 there's any judge that would have this even at this point And so, yeah, I don't think he's going to get a finished boxing. I think he's got to try and make some get on the ground. It's not a range kickboxing match like this. Yeah, this, certainly not boxing like this. He's not even throwing enough to really hurt Diego Lopez. Thank goodness the Reba Hibatic bet happened because I don't think I'm going to cash Brian Ortega bet. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:04 Oh. We got to stop in the action here. Some sort of a headbutt. Yeah. We're longer getting worn for a bit. headbutting. Oh, good little inside boxing from Ortega. I mean, needs so much more than he's doing.
Starting point is 02:13:16 But that was pretty solid from him. Lopez now just swinging hard. He knows he's got three minutes left. Doesn't have to manage anything. I got to tell you, coming off this. Oh, Ortega with a clean combination. I really want to see Lopez against some of the top
Starting point is 02:13:35 guys after this. He is just a force of nature right now. Ortega looking really good so far. Ortega really good in the boxing going, this is where I thought he could have a ton of success. And now he's starting to just jabbing down the middle, straight punches, beating Lopez's hooks. He's just got to throw more than like a punch or two at a time.
Starting point is 02:13:54 But he is just, he's in such a hole right now. If this were the start of the fight, yeah, things are happening. Good return fire from, I mean, this is, this is Randy Chuck. Ortega is all down the pipe right now. Lopez is missing coming up wide. Oh, catches a kick. Got him up against the fence. Oh, he just has no interest in it.
Starting point is 02:14:19 Oh, there it is. Really nice entry. Tried to hit the step-in back foot sweep there. Lopez, Lopez, just a better athlete than Brian Ortega, frankly. Man, this could be a big night for them, too. Another hard light kick from the lobe. Lopez gets his W. Grasso comes in, retains the belt.
Starting point is 02:14:39 Big, big night for that team. Canelo is still dragging Bologna along with him. It's crazy. Oh. Oh. Good exchanges here, boys. Two minutes to go. Right in Brian Artega's wheelhouse.
Starting point is 02:15:03 Neither man throwing with real bad intent in this, but they're throwing a lot now. Oh. I say that, and then immediately Lopez's tagging. And Lopez talking to him now. He punched him in the eyeball. Lopez saying, let's go. Now Lopez has the rear waistlock against the fence 90 seconds.
Starting point is 02:15:24 You're just happy to be here, knees to the thighs. I mean, yeah, just hang here, Lopez, you're golden. And Ortega gets some separation. Taga has 80 seconds to pull off a miracle. And if he pulls off a sub, it's the front owner for sub of the year, given the context. For sure. Final minute for Brian Ortega. Let's see if you can get it.
Starting point is 02:16:00 I, this is, we got a lot of talking about on the post show on this one, Mike. Yeah. Because coming into this fight, I was like, honestly, there's just a lot of fun fight. it lightweight for Brian Ortega. But after seeing him struggle just with the physicality and size of Lopez, I am frankly less interested in a lot of those fights that I was
Starting point is 02:16:21 previous like Vinwa San Denei that seems pretty fun. I kind of think Benoit San Dene might truck that dude. Yeah. Oh! Oh! Abps him!
Starting point is 02:16:33 Oh, if he gets a minute. 20 seconds left! He's trying to get the finish. Lopez trying to finish it. Oh, he moves to the back. Ortega's too good here. I think we're going to... He's got one arm attacking the throat.
Starting point is 02:16:45 Can't get it. Up to the feet. 10, six seconds left. Chucking on both men just hucking him to fish. Oh, Artegas face is mangling. Oh. It's a nasty left hook at the end. Ortega got dismantled.
Starting point is 02:16:59 Oh, and Lopez is talking to somebody in the crowd. I assume it's Dana White. Do we get another knockdown in Berlanga Canelo or is this a ref warning for something? I don't know. Who could say? Man, Diego Lopez. great performance give him the
Starting point is 02:17:17 Mavzar Algeman Sterling winner you're gonna be fighting the winner of that but man I mean honestly like if I'm him I'm calling for Volcanovsky right now he may not get it but he should call for Volcanowski I I think he should call to be the backup
Starting point is 02:17:33 fighter for 308 yeah I don't think Volk will weigh in his backup fighter for that it's tough that's a quick turnaround man I mean, it is. He won, but, I mean, he got dinged up quite a bit in this fight, too. It is, but, like, I think he just do it, man.
Starting point is 02:17:50 Because, like, honestly, I know Volk's going to get the title fight. People are going to be okay with that. I would really like Volk to have to win a fight before he gets right back in there, given how his last couple of years have been. And I'd like Lopez to get the winner of that title fight. But what a performance, man. What a performance. I cannot believe this kind of all of that.
Starting point is 02:18:20 fight is in the ninth round. Wow. Cannot believe it this is this is the ninth round. Shout out to Georgie Kokiashvili, who has a photo of Tbilisi, Georgia
Starting point is 02:18:31 right now at 7 a.m. in the morning, just absolutely packed out with people in support of Marab. I mean, that would be, Georgia gets two champs. Go dogs. Different Georgia, but still,
Starting point is 02:18:43 go dogs, nonetheless. Cannell, like, is barely even sweating. Like, this fight is such a joke. See, Mike, I'd like to take this opportunity to explain to people gambling because I'm the real winner. Yes, I lost money on Brian Ortega, but I don't care because Brian Ortega lost, and that also makes me happy. I game the system to perfection.
Starting point is 02:19:09 We're getting 30, 26, 3026. We might be going to 2 a.m. here, gentlemen, ladies and all right, it's very possible. We're going late. We're going late. One 10-8 round. All right. I mean, you could have made a strong case for two 10-8 rounds there. Yeah, and that last one, there's certainly an argument. Unbelievable performance from Diego Lopez.
Starting point is 02:19:36 Hell yeah. And now at all... That's a decision type... Like, if Diego Lopez called for 50K right now, he's probably not going to get it, but it makes sense. Like, there's a case for it. He fought an unkillable guy and dropped him twice. Like, that's not easy to... I think he was very close to getting a one-minute finish of power day.
Starting point is 02:19:58 You, Lopez, over like Rover here. So I still have a hundred point lead. I need Chevy to win so bad. If you get a perfecto with Chevy, you get 75 points because you have her by decision. And I'll need Sean O'Malley by knockout in round two to win. If Chevy just wins, you'll get 50 and then you'll need a perfecto in the main event to get her done. Because you have Sean too, right? I have Sean knockout room four.
Starting point is 02:20:39 So actually, perfector won't because I'll also get the knockout bonus. You need a perfecto decision. You need Shipschenko decision real bad because anything else is only 50 points. Get your songs ready. That's right. I mean, maybe I'll submit a couple in there. Yeah, we'll throw them, you know, throw them in them. Maybe we'll throw them on a wheel.
Starting point is 02:20:58 We'll spin the wheel. Oh, I love a wheel. Who doesn't love a wheel? I'm telling you. The wheels are the best, man. You all thought I was weird and I kept saying the wheels make everything better, but I got to tell you. If you watch everybody fantasy draft, the wheel was one of the most fun parts of the whole thing. It was just one spin at the very beginning.
Starting point is 02:21:21 It was a lecture. Random chance makes things fun. Otherwise, everything would be chess. We had a lot of tweets about how happy I am right now. It would appear that I have a brand. Yes. And my brand has been strong this weekend with the Chandler News and this happening. Viva Mexico.
Starting point is 02:21:44 Oh, Justin Gage. Michael Chandler. Jedd's favorite fighter. I mean, where's John Jones? Don't you. Where's Steepe? I do think we're about to be getting the John Steepa.
Starting point is 02:21:58 But don't you dare disrespect Michael Chandler with your pity? It's still my favorite thing in the whole entire world. I had so many people tweet me screenshots of the famous tweet. to all the haters and losers who said I couldn't do it you were absolutely right shout out to you I could not do it I was like yeah man
Starting point is 02:22:19 that's Michael Champ right now got a little shadow boxing from the champ in the back it's a lot of shadow boxing oh what just happened Canella just walked away and then got punched and now they're yelling at each other I think Canela was walking away
Starting point is 02:22:48 before the round is officially over and Berlanga punched him and didn't even hurt him and was fine because Canello Kenello genuinely has one of the greatest chins in the history of boxing
Starting point is 02:22:58 Oh, and Buranga is like not very good yeah which really makes this like the dumbest thing Belonga doesn't really even have a yeah Canello just walks the round off and then Bralanga clubbed him
Starting point is 02:23:09 and he just sat there and he still didn't get me and then he does hit him with the old shot so funny you're going to take this dude to a decision oh it's so bad what are the chances
Starting point is 02:23:27 dana's watching this fight right now probably not just because it's not interesting I know that he often has like the screen up and does it but like for this one do you think he even cares I mean he likes to play the ponies so maybe but this feels like with an event of this stature for them as well
Starting point is 02:23:45 this isn't like a regular pay-per-view he's probably managing stuff yeah All right, let's hear from the peeps if we get anything. I want another bizarre versus BTL of Jose hosting again. We almost did that not that long ago, actually. When you were out, I just tried to coordinate that. Maybe we could do that.
Starting point is 02:24:06 Things happen. We have an off. Well, we still got a, yeah, we've got an off week. There are opportunities. Always opportunities. Can Diego beat Ilya or Max? I wouldn't pick him to. I would not pick him to beat either of them,
Starting point is 02:24:18 but he has been exceeding my expectations since getting. here so um they have matched made for him very very well yeah my my issue is though like a lot of his wins i think really if you boil it down it's like super athletic and that doesn't get him any ground against ilia or max yeah um i think max chews him up on the feet frankly and ilia probably just nukes him on the feet um i mean we talked about this in the preview show but what are the If Valentina wins, do we get number four next? No, I think there's no chance we get four soon. There's a world where there's an outcome,
Starting point is 02:25:00 but anything short of like a no contest or another draw, and even another draw, I'm not sure. They want to move on from this. And I don't think so. If Valentina wins, I think it's 50-50, whether she defends against Manae or whether she says, I would like to go fight at 135, if she loses, then for sure we're not doing another one.
Starting point is 02:25:24 Yeah. It's a back pocket fight. Yeah. If you need it, sure. You can break it out later at some point in time. The title will not be on the line. Megan Olivis had like 18 different outfits tonight. I mean, you got to have the wardrobe changes for an event like this.
Starting point is 02:25:44 I'm a little shocked we haven't gotten the 309 announcement. It seems so obvious. I feel like Dan is just going to Instagram it. But then why have John and Steepa there? I don't know. That seems weird to have them there and not do something with that. Particularly when it's this event. You could just, you could put the promo on the screen and that would still be cool.
Starting point is 02:26:05 Yeah. Or you could play the John Jones the greatest fighter of all time promo in the sphere screen. They should just play the promo and then not announce the fight. Again, it would be hilarious. I will laugh hysterically. It would objectively be very funny. Yeah. We still have another chapter of the movie coming.
Starting point is 02:26:27 up. We don't have two, because we'll have one before this. And then we see the future of Mexico. Well, we're going to see, I mean, this is incredible. I cannot believe. We are going to see a 12th round of this. I cannot believe Connell is not going to. Oh.
Starting point is 02:26:44 He's at least punching him a lot now, but I, we're going to 12. Maybe not. Canella like, I mean, shout to Berlanga for just getting the, just getting the holy hell beat out of him and get 11 rounds and he's still talking. a bunch of noise. And get in the bag, but, like, Canella, you can't be, like, talking all that trash and greaciness.
Starting point is 02:27:06 Yeah, that's bad, man. You have an opportunity to fight him. You don't have to talk shit. You can just punch him until he's unconscious. You can end this fight anytime he wants. He's just not doing it. Not stepping on the gas. Yeah, Canella's not going to be the headline.
Starting point is 02:27:22 No, not. It's a certainty. Not unless something insane happens in the last three minutes. Yeah, even if he knocks him out in 12, like, it's still not going to be the headline. There we go. Chapter 4. What is Riyadh?
Starting point is 02:27:54 Um, promotional branding. Yep. To get you to support Saudi Arabia. Yep. And, you know, that's on you whether you want to. I'm not here to tell you not to or it's bad, but Riyadh season is objectively a thing that the Saudi Arabian Sports Authority, I don't actually think that's what's called, something like
Starting point is 02:28:13 that, has functionally come up with to build investment. and the cultural profile of Saudi Arabia on the national stage, on the global stage, not national stage, sorry. Oh. This one looks pretty cool. Now we're really into modern-day Mexico. Yeah. We're talking about sporting heroes of Mexico that frankly look like Manny Pac-Eau.
Starting point is 02:28:50 I know that it wasn't, but it did. Oh, the sneaky little right here, they're yapping at each other. Can I give 90 seconds? Don't talk. Hit him. Yeah. Hit him real hard, make him go away. That was a quick one. Unless this is the continuation.
Starting point is 02:29:18 Oh, okay. No, this is going to be building the background, I guess, because we've got the Noche stuff. Some scaffolding, a church. Oh. Yeah, the interior of a church. Oh, very cool. Yeah, a good background. That's awesome.
Starting point is 02:29:45 And there comes the promo. Not for UFC 309. But for the fight. I had a lot of respect for Grasso answering every question in Spanish this week. I thought that was fun as hell. Very good. And then she'd go back and answer, but like, she'd get asked questions in English and just answered in Spanish. Like, yeah, this is what this is about.
Starting point is 02:30:06 It's a celebration of Mexican independence presented by the King of Sonia. 30 more seconds of this freaking fight. You can just see the, look at the looks on the faces of the people in the crowd right now. They're just like, what the hell is going on right now? Why did I pay money to get this ticket? Yeah. Could have paid $6,000 to go to this, or you could have paid $4,000 to go to this awful fight?
Starting point is 02:30:39 Oh. Belonga makes it to the cards. Wow. And it's all over. That should be a 12-a little sweep there for Canelo, a couple 10-8s in there, and that's that. Ah, dude.
Starting point is 02:31:13 Oh, that is grotesque. Yeah, that's going to get the video taken down. Yeah. Go to Dana White's IG story. If you missed the Urene Aldana, Norman Dumont fight. Here we go for the title. I just hope it's a fun fight. Because the other fights have been big parts of them and they were fun.
Starting point is 02:31:40 But there's been a lot of narrative. There's been a lot of stuff happening, a lot of key moments. And the rest of this main card has been hype. It's been hype. I want something cool to happen here. Preferably not Valentina Shubchenko winning a decision. If Chevy wants to win, just not by decision. I mean, that's the only way she knows, huh?
Starting point is 02:32:05 She's head kicked people before. I know, I know. Not like Sagrazzo, mind you, but. Maybe this is the Just Gun, oh. It feels really weird not to be supporting her tonight. I got to tell you. That's AI, right? That's not real.
Starting point is 02:32:22 I think that that's not real. I believe that that is a generated image and that this is now a real image. Is it? Yeah. There it is, yep. The soon to be, once again, by decision, UFC Women's Flyweight Champion.
Starting point is 02:32:50 Look, I have a lot of eggs in the next two fights baskets in our fantasy craft. Chevy by decision would be the best. Chevy by decision is the worst outcome that can happen for me as a year. human being. Because I can't win a fire the night anymore.
Starting point is 02:33:08 I still get the championship bonus kick, so at least I get that. But like, unless this is unbelievable, it's not going to win five the friggin' night. My fantasy draft gets tanked. And suddenly you are right there at winning.
Starting point is 02:33:22 Oh, yeah. We're right there. You're 25 points back with the main event. All you have to do is if you snip the right round, actually, if you snipe the right round, I think we didn't tie. Yeah. So I don't know what we do then.
Starting point is 02:33:35 We roll over. Is this skins? Do we roll over any tie to a double punishment the next time? Oh. Really? That's pretty good. Canella wins by your name of decision. That was fun.
Starting point is 02:33:58 Sure. That is an adjective. Not what I would describe that as. I mean, if I'm Canella, like, I'm just fighting these types of fighters or so. If I'm Canella, I'm fighting Terrence Crawford next. Oh. He's so much bigger than Crawford. I love Bud.
Starting point is 02:34:13 I think Bud is my number two pound fighter, but could be number one. It's the three of the three, you know. But he, like, he's, Cannell is so much bigger that I think that's the fight that gets people excited would be a big moneymaker. They'll get people a little off his back on the, you're doing these stupid Belonga fights, but also he should be heavily favored in. Yeah. And there's a man in a big foot mask holding the belt behind Keney.
Starting point is 02:34:42 Is it the Geico? I mean, it kind of does look like the Geico Caveman, but it also kind of looks like a big foot mask. I don't understand what's happening there. It's very odd, guys. It's very, very odd. Very odd. All right, Chevy in the Octagon.
Starting point is 02:35:08 The bullet train. Now the lights go out. And now the crowd goes crazy. I mean, I do love a mariachi. Yeah. I hope there's like an actual live mariachi band playing her out. That'd be sick. That would be very cool.
Starting point is 02:35:40 do it I suspect it's not just because you know yeah definitely generated but god damn that looks very life-like for being
Starting point is 02:35:51 as they walk through the hall of historical great Mexican fighters and the Nocha UFC wall also they could have just like actually made that hall of like plaster casts of
Starting point is 02:36:06 yeah for them to walk through and it would be fine nope no light Maryachi band but it's okay she is all business oh little smudge gaps up couple people.
Starting point is 02:36:19 A couple smirks. It's so funny seeing the difference of her, like, physically now, as opposed to what she was before the first of Chenko. She's a freaking, she's a rock now. And that's one of the big things, man. Like I said, all week, they will not find bigger Valentina Shipchenko fan than I, but she, there's no chance this is the best Valentina we've ever seen.
Starting point is 02:36:49 This is objectively not going to be the best Valentin'i's, have ever seen. Grasso is still getting better, and Valentina couldn't beat a worse Grosso. The difference between fight one and fight two for Grosso to me was enormous. I thought she looked I had just so much more physically capable and strong. She looked better. Like she dropped Valentina that fight. If she continues to ascend, she could have a great night. Hasn't lost in five years. Yeah, the stakes here, incredible. Because if she gets past Valentina, here, gets the win, is really the one who ended the Valentina era and then it's hey we've got a whole host of fun contenders and if out gets the belt back i mean that's just i mean she's already chiseled in stone on the women's
Starting point is 02:37:36 mount rushmore but just she she's moving into into the ablincoln space you know she's just getting one up all right alexa grasso in the octagon valentina looks like she kind of holked up a little bit from fight two to fight three as well she's getting prepared to move to 135, Mike. They're just getting ready to cruise. So, yeah, Shavchengel by decision is brutal. I have Alexa, my fantasy.
Starting point is 02:38:10 I have a bet on Alexa Grasso. You and I have the Alexa Grasso thing going. Some bullet fans, some Grasso fans. The tail of the tape, honestly, is just my favorite part of this whole thing. It's so sick. Oh, I love this one. I love the little library.
Starting point is 02:38:29 blacky. Some of the others have actually been a little harder to read. This one, crystal clear, getting like the lawyer titling. Yes, that's what I'm going for. Val, five years older. Slight underdog. Buff man, getting everybody fired up.
Starting point is 02:38:56 Man, the guy in Val's corner with that beard is my absolute hero. Look at this dude when he comes back on. Look at that. Look at the majestic beard. this guy has. That's tremendous. That is.
Starting point is 02:39:13 I thought it was interesting that I'm talking to Shevchenko that she did some training, I mean, she did Taiga Muay Thai, she did the thing in all past like she always does. Spent the time of fight ready for this camp. Ooh. Well, you know, they're an ascending camp. Get some new looks. You've been doing the same thing for a long time. It hasn't worn yet.
Starting point is 02:39:34 Say what you will about Henry Suhudo and all that stuff. It's been a very effective coach. Very good. Mike, I'm going to ask Magic A-Ball what's about to happen here. Magic A-ball is Valentina Shubchenko about to end my dreams and hopes tonight? It's... Yes, definitely. Mike, the illustrious Magic A-ball...
Starting point is 02:39:59 What a comeback. It's never been wrong. This would be the 0-4 Red Sox all over again. Oh, that'll be... Absolutely brutal. Absolutely. I guess I can, worst I can do is choppy now
Starting point is 02:40:14 because you get 75 here and you can pick up an extra 20 and 25 in the main event for the round. So the worst I can do is break even. You got to run hot to break even right now. I mean, I literally need Valentina by decision and Sean O'Malley by KO round two.
Starting point is 02:40:33 You got to hit two perfect. Anything else. Anything else. And you're going to be singing something. Guys, I suggest when you're submitting something with a hot, a high, high vocal range, really make him get up there, you know. Grasso is very serious.
Starting point is 02:40:52 She's all business. She's stoic. And Diego Lopez in the corner. He's got such a gangster. What a turnaround from him. Like, clearly didn't shower. There's no chance he shower. Oh, God.
Starting point is 02:41:12 He's probably in his fight shorts as well his shirt thrown on. Yeah. These two women have spent an awful lot of time together. Oh, wow. Man, the costume changes for the officer. Octagon girls, they are doing stuff today. The statue. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:41:34 Dude. All of them did it. Yeah. They are really given after it today. I got a lot of respect for that aspect of the promotion here. I do a bet on Valentin and Shochenko as well. Okay. Got a plus 125.
Starting point is 02:41:52 I have a been on Alexa Grasso. I got it like minus 130. I almost took Grasso by decision, but I'm just haunted. By the choke. Yep. Oh, good left hand from Val. Yeah, early. Oh, like getting inside and Chevy lands another right hook inside there.
Starting point is 02:42:15 No spinning stuff and no hip throws. If you just don't, if you don't freaking turn your back to her, you would have won both fights. But you've turned your back to her and lost both fights as a result of it. Let's see if she trained it out of herself. A lot of movement from Grasso. Oh, good right hand. Chevy is really staying tight just trying to let Grasso come into the space
Starting point is 02:42:44 and she's going to fire off a couple of counters Good light kick Grosso really trying to navigate this space doesn't have a lot of rangey weapons right now Nice counter right from Valentina Oh good jab from Lexington Oh good little interior Oh Chevy
Starting point is 02:43:10 Oh and a change level And a take down And a good takedown That was a Haas take down That was a knee tap that she just powered through like classic GSP. Grasso immediately started working, working to get up, then started working,
Starting point is 02:43:26 maybe getting an arm involved, then looking, get an arm thrown over for a guillotine, now just in full guard. I mean, this is how Chevy can deliver for you. This is the perfect type of start and pace for Chevy by decision. Oh, Grasso locking in the body triangle from the bottom. It's not a lot of offense there. Getting tired.
Starting point is 02:43:49 let her work make her work down there trying to get into some fancy shit now you've had a year to prepare for this one you know what she's going to do this is the part that made chavchenko is so dominant it's obviously she's a very good kickboxer but she's just a freaking hoss and she can just take you down and sit on you and she did it to so many people and she's done it to groso for a lot too but yeah a lot of their 40 minutes yeah but Grasso's been able to find her moments. The hossiness that could happen between Chfchenko and Fioro. That's why I really favor Chivchenko to beat Manon. Oh! I don't think Manon can...
Starting point is 02:44:28 Oh! Now she didn't get it. Yeah. Grasso now... Oh! The elbow's out. Yeah. But Grasso threw up legs for a triangle,
Starting point is 02:44:36 Shevchenko immediately postured out. Grasso is still holding the arm and briefly sorted to attack an arm bar, but Chichenko's elbows past the hip. is sort of a holding pattern unless Shivchenko really really butchers the dog here and she does not and now we're back Grasso
Starting point is 02:44:55 acted from her back though trying to threaten some stuff not looking for stand-ups a lot though which it's the problem with playing from Valentina the problem with playing from your back here is if you don't get something judges tend to favor
Starting point is 02:45:10 the top position 80 seconds left. Smart. Just a smart round. And just just put one in the books for yourself. A little chip away round. You don't need this to be pretty if you're Shipchanker.
Starting point is 02:45:31 You just want to get the belt back. Just do the thing. You notice how she didn't spend any part of this round turning her back? She was mean tonight. I love this. Just grab the chin and slam her back to the ground. Full shove. It was a hands to the face.
Starting point is 02:45:48 It's 15 yards in the NFL. Yep. They'd let you do it for free in fighting. Grasso trying to work a guillotine that never really had a chance, but at least made her work. Body triangle from her back again. Yeah, that's just so bad. You should just never do that. Anderson Silva used to do a lot, but you just can't pull almost any offense from that.
Starting point is 02:46:12 The only person probably in history who could would probably be Anderson Silva. Yeah, and even he, like, you just, your legs can't be involved if you're triangled. It's great for a stalemate position, but Chevchenko could look. look to pass here. Grasso trying to get up here. Grasso finally looking to stand. But Chevy Hosser right back down. And full mount.
Starting point is 02:46:31 Oh, he's got the back. Grasso turns her back. Not going to be seven seconds, so not enough time. Grosso just staying tight. Chevy should just should not be trying to choke with this time. She should have been trying to put some hands to face there.
Starting point is 02:46:45 Yes. Your job is not to choke. It's to win by decision. Yeah. Well, that's a good start for you, Mike. No, the role. That is an excellent time. That is an a plus start for your
Starting point is 02:46:53 Chevy without question. Look at Diego Lopez, just breathing easy. Fresh as a daisy in here. Corning a world championship fight. Oh, to be the number three fly featherweight in the world? I guess that's true, isn't it? On the U.S. What's a Vloy of ranked?
Starting point is 02:47:13 Let me pull up the O.C. The lawyer should be ranked higher because he did beat him. I know it was like the circumstances. The lawyer is ranked six. There's no chance they will just move Lopez to three. Yes. of loyov should ultimately get bounced like brian rotega should just get
Starting point is 02:47:27 dropped down but there's no chance they're gonna get a little Lopez will just get bumped to three everybody else will move down Evoiov will be mad about it and you should but you know reasonable all right round two good stuff I mean we didn't say it officially 10 9 for the challenge
Starting point is 02:47:53 of thank you yeah and it's pretty straightforward and she knows what she can do like if she just gets to take down she's gonna be able to do that every round Grosso can keep threatening, but it's not going to be, I just don't, she's not going to pull off a submission from the bottom. So, Shropchenko just knows what she needs to do is she cannot throw her back away. She has a path. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:48:29 I forgot to move forward. Trying to find an opening. I forgot to keep up with this, but Mexican fighters doing very poorly. Mike. Ortega, you know, is Mexican-American. Daniel Zell Huber lost Renalo Rodriguez is one of the ones to get the win Not the take down from Shibchenko
Starting point is 02:48:47 But this is actually a good opportunity Grasso has the arm locked And she's looking to get over the Oma Plata If she go go Plata's there It'll be the coolest thing we've ever seen She does not Valentina just pauses her way back to your position Yeah
Starting point is 02:49:00 But I mean I think the game plan looks pretty clear For Chevy Yep You know We can kickbox on the feed all day And that's fine But as soon as I have a window
Starting point is 02:49:10 to get a level change in and take you down. We could get two straight fights like this. It could. It's very possible. I don't think O'Malley's going to be as content as Grasso has been to work off his back. That's true. Grasso really needs to just be trying to get up. But like right now, Mike, what would the odds be that this fight gets back to the feet before the end of the round?
Starting point is 02:49:37 What would you give me for odds? say that Grasso stands up before the end of the round here. Three minutes left. 50-50? Yes. That's not good odds for three minutes of time.
Starting point is 02:49:51 Sure. Also, Chivchenko has moved to top half and is now trying to set up a triangle cross- I don't do that. Grasso sees it coming and has blocked it off, but Chivchenco, you know.
Starting point is 02:50:04 You're fine where you're at, Valentina. I mean, I love you really threading this needle. Yeah, we need, I mean, you're fine, just hold this position. Couple short little elbows. Good shoulder pressure from the challenger.
Starting point is 02:50:20 This is perfect. Oh, oh, Grasso gets the legs involved. Yeah, she's... Gerson gets the legs involved, gets right your guard back, trying to start moving on her leg. Yep, it's exactly what you want. Good clean posture from Chepchenko. Grasso has...
Starting point is 02:50:36 You know this is coming? Grasso has the setup for a triangle, but Chubchenko is just not going to get caught here. He's just staring at her. It is. Grosso's got a pretty deep grip in the arm. She could find a way to get the posture broken. Now, that's a good arm bar. The elbow is not out. Did she kick her?
Starting point is 02:50:53 It really did look like that was an illegal kick. And then Chichol hoss her way out of that right into side control. There was a brief moment where Grasso had like a actual good arm bar look. Big, deep breath from Grasso on the bottom. Yep. Shevchango, I suspect this is where she'll go for the crucifix look that she likes to set up here. Grasso turning her back. Gets a hook in.
Starting point is 02:51:18 It's a back. We got not the downside hook. So Grosso's going to get a good scramble here. Yep, that's exactly. And Grasso back to her feet. Oh, too. Creates a scramble and back to her feet. A lot of top position, 90 seconds left in the round.
Starting point is 02:51:32 More than half the round in top position. Immediately, Shvchenko, look at this. That was a great, great. work from Chivchenko. She immediately ducked under. Grasso sprawled. Chevy popped up to top. Rolled through. It was very, very good work for her. This is like what we... This is what I thought the first fight would look like between them, honestly.
Starting point is 02:51:52 It was exactly how I imagined the first fight between them. Just out physical on her. Yeah, just like, I can... On the feet, we're fine if Valentia is maybe slightly technically ahead, and she can just be a monster. Oh, Grasso with an inverted triangle now. And that is in. Her head's a little high. I think.
Starting point is 02:52:13 Oh, no. Now she can work on the arm. Shevchenko's having to dig her own arm under to avoid getting Kimura here. Her head's locked in. Like, she's not in threat of being submitted here, but she's kind of tied up. He's coming out. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:52:26 But now Grasso's really rolling onto the arm. And Chivchenko, very solid defense. But Grasso is still working. Shevchenko just stays taught through. That was really fun work from Grasso there. She's shown some pizzazz. It was really, really fun. She's down two rounds, but that was fun.
Starting point is 02:52:49 That's the problem is like in a different, and what I would say it would actually be better scoring, I think Grasso should be getting credit for being the offensive fighter in these positions, but that's just not how the rules work. She's not going to win that round. So it's two nothing for nothing. We're on your way, Ken.
Starting point is 02:53:07 We're on the right track. which means you have O'Malley round two. So I got five minutes of round two of the main event where I'm just like, don't want this to happen. Yeah,
Starting point is 02:53:17 he had 10 minutes. Also, I really need Grosso to win for my freaking fantasy team because this ain't fight of the night. This ain't fight of the night, girl. This is, I mean,
Starting point is 02:53:27 turn it on right now. Let's get a finish. This could end up being terrific for me, just watching all you guys take L's and fantasy. It's a big big. None of my guys have even gone yet. Nobody is succeeding in fantasy
Starting point is 02:53:40 this evening. The only guy who is even factored into any of this is Alessandro Costa which is going to be out for three weeks so he's probably going to fight before the end of the year. Yeah, plus a lot of us have lost so it's not even that bad if that fight fell off for you at this point. I just need him to win.
Starting point is 02:53:57 I need Grasso to put it together. Round three. Oh, good heavens. Ryan Garcia and John Jones are sitting together. Oh, God. I can't end well. that's a time. Can you imagine the conversations those two are having? I don't want to.
Starting point is 02:54:20 Grosso, a plus 300 underdog live betting. Get your money in. Because you know she's going to do it. Let's go. This is where Valentina Shepchenko goes to the head and arm throw. Oh, God. That calls to the fight. That's just untrue.
Starting point is 02:54:44 She had more than one submission attempt. She had at least two of that round, if not more. D.C. Not a lot of happening through a minute of this round. Yeah. She's... Teppid kickboxing. Yep, Grasso's being smart.
Starting point is 02:55:05 She's staying far away because she's not want to get taken down again. Grossos is not willing to engage a lot, but... Smart. She's clearly waiting for a level change at this point. Grasso just does not want to be on her back again. You got to just get a round in the book
Starting point is 02:55:24 so you're not down 3-0 heading into the championships. You got to get one back, start building momentum. Come on, champ. Yeah, Grasso just kind of backing up a little bit. Ooh, a quick little kick. Well, snappy front head kick from Schenko has the range very, very comfortable to be safe from anything Grasso is doing. Oh, it's common.
Starting point is 02:55:51 She's just waiting. All she's waiting is for the window to set. Oh, she threw, I like that. Counter shot into a level change. She's just going to throw, just going to throw like two or three more kicks and then she's got one. I mean, truly not a lot happening in this round. Grasso is just like I don't want to get taken down
Starting point is 02:56:12 We're two minutes in and nobody has landed anything out Oh nice Dnie from Val From the challenger And there's a change Grasso quickly snuffed in and there's a good left Shichenko bailed on that shot attempt quickly Yeah
Starting point is 02:56:26 Grasso is sprawling hard now Just try to be She doesn't want to make any mistakes That was a hard sprawl And Chivchenko just walked away Halfway through the fight. Oh, good right hand from Shepchenko on the inside. Oh, another one.
Starting point is 02:56:48 Oh, there it is. There it is. She got Grasso covering up and then immediately on the hips and a clean double finish. I got to tell you, I can see the look by the Alexis face like time. I'm regretting not supporting my girl. Because this is not going hot. This is the only MMA math that works. Valentina Shepchenko is not going to lose.
Starting point is 02:57:11 Three times. It's not going to go winless in three fights, especially against the same opponent. Until I see it, I don't believe it. But if I picked her, she would have lost, and it just would have been heartbroken. So what would have happened? You just quit on her. I backed her very, very vehemently twice
Starting point is 02:57:28 and did not get paid off. I mean, you didn't lose anything the second time. I lost some money still. I didn't lose nearly the money I lost the first time, but I'll literally never lose that much money again. so do you lose if it's a draw? Oh no I guess no I guess it's a push ticket Oh full mode
Starting point is 02:57:49 Oh in the mount I don't like this Get back in the guard There you go beautiful This is beautiful Just beautiful work by Valentina Shibchenko Just get me to that decision Just get me the cards Grosso is now in the market
Starting point is 02:58:04 Before finish Because there is a minute left in this round That she has lost unless something absolutely insane happens. If Grasso can get a 10-8 round and we get another draw, I just give up. Can you imagine if like Chevy gets a finish with like 30 seconds left in the fight? I would lose my freaking mind.
Starting point is 02:58:22 That would be electric for at least one part of tonight for me. Chichanker just really muslin her around. Grasso's not even getting the fun offense. She is getting from her back now. Ooh, she's playing the Habib wrist wrap under the body and fire her husband. I like that. She's just being the physical beast right now. Valentina is taking this entirely seriously
Starting point is 02:58:46 about reclaiming the belt in the most efficient manner she possibly can. Yep. Oh, Grasso. Oh, this one's going to hurt me for Fantasy Mike. We got a hook in. Oh, she's turned the back. We got one hook in and the leg across.
Starting point is 02:59:03 Grasso kept trying to roll. This is a beautiful work. Grosso trying to turn into her really hard. Yep. She's got the end. Cross Grosso go. Oh, no, round's over. That's just beautiful work right there.
Starting point is 02:59:14 I mean, it's 3-0 for the challenge. That's a frustrated champion right there. I think it's pretty clearly 3-0 for the challenge. 100%. Like, there's no doubt. Mike, if Grasso gets a 10-8 in this round, there's a real world where we're looking at a draw again. And I need this to not happen.
Starting point is 02:59:31 I need this, I need conclusion. But it would objectively be really funny if they had been true again. A double knockout. telling you. That would be the funniest. There's nothing else to do. I mean, her corner is just straight up telling her. 3027.
Starting point is 02:59:51 Pretty easy to call. Shevchenko. I mean, you just see the body language on both of them. Shevchenko just focused, ready to go. She's ready to get shot of a cannon. And Grasso was just, she doesn't have it right now, too.
Starting point is 03:00:05 She spent, we won't have the official stats, but she's got to have spent something north of eight, nine minutes. She's just working from the bottom. It's just, ooh. Chivchango's banged three rounds. She got to not give up a big one. She got to not do a head and arm's.
Starting point is 03:00:22 Don't do that. Don't do a spitting back fist. Right. Also coming out a little more aggressive, which she has to. Her corner was very clear. You got to get going. We're behind. Good work, but.
Starting point is 03:00:35 But you got already see it. Like, this is. And she's still hesitant because she doesn't want the level change double. Uh-oh, now the rest of the round is me here. Yep. Minus 8.10 live odds for Valentina. Honestly, that's pretty tasty on Chepchenko at that price.
Starting point is 03:00:53 She is very clearly up three rounds. And also very clearly not inviting any risk to her game tonight. And it's take down. Yeah. It's going. You got a little guillotine look. Grasso, I mean, that's not going to finish this position. It's just not good.
Starting point is 03:01:09 But she's trying, now she's trying to work the. legs are a little better, but the grip's not going to be good enough. We're just going to be holding this. She's just waiting. She's getting now to this, but the angle is bad. This says the arm's not across enough. This isn't deep enough. Cross is going to burn her arms out here unless she can.
Starting point is 03:01:28 Now she's getting a better adjustment. She's getting a better adjustment here. Yeah. And she's starting to work, but the lats aren't in. Oh. There's more of a pull away. Shibchenko's still fine now. You got to get.
Starting point is 03:01:40 Oh. Oh, no. She gets to roll the mount. Shevchenko now gritting through it. Now this is starting to squeeze. Oh, my God. She's, oh, she has to wave it off. The ref checks the arm, but I think she's fine here.
Starting point is 03:01:55 I think she's fine here. She's not, I, Grasso's saying she's, she's holding the glove. I think she was. Maybe she was. She was, yeah. Yeah, maybe. I mean, that's a terrific cheat in that particular moment.
Starting point is 03:02:09 Of course. Because they're not going to call it. Yeah, they're not going to call it. She'll have three minutes plus once she gets out of this. And she's going to. I think she is set to get out of this. You can see the breath coming. There's more cross.
Starting point is 03:02:21 It's not really under the neck at this point. It's right on top of the chin now. And Grasso's arms are just going to be dead after this. A head's popping. All right, now she's got two, almost three minutes to work. I mean, a fun little attempt from Grasso. Yeah. But if her arms are usable, I'll be tough.
Starting point is 03:02:40 and you just got to get up this has to be getting up you can't be trying stuff off your back you kid that was so close it got a lot closer it got a lot closer the melt
Starting point is 03:02:55 I just thought we were going to end up with a good transition as Chupchenko moves to to half guard on top the optics will not be great no unbelievable chest pressure here from Chachanko
Starting point is 03:03:06 she's keeping the Grasso cannot get her back anything other than flat here Shichango's going to do nothing but look for a head and arm choke or advanced amount, but her mounts are not very good. Joe Rogan's actually correct, saying that it's hard to give Grasso this round, even though she was the closest to the finish in the fight, and he's right. I do think objectively the scoring says that she should be ahead.
Starting point is 03:03:43 But oh! Oh! Oh, we've got the head-and-arm triangle in for Valentina Shetchenko. No, just let's go. Chess pressure's down. Let's go. Grasso are trying to turn. and Grasso does turn.
Starting point is 03:03:52 Chevy trying to get out to the side to move on. Oh, Grasso gets her arm through. I mean, just. There was a moment there where that looked like that could have been something. Yeah, she was like Alexa. Just do this. Good shoulder pressure.
Starting point is 03:04:03 You gotta get it by decision. I mean, she is fighting for your decision bet right now. I mean, she is, I mean, just worth all of it. Every penny. Grasso's miracle fifth round finish is going to be so electric. And then O'Malley gets the second round finish. It's going to be.
Starting point is 03:04:21 Unreal. I just have to hope O'Malley finishes him in the first round or any other thing is fine. Just can't win in the second round. Side control. Yep. Yep. We're in the side control. Minut and left.
Starting point is 03:04:33 Grasso can create zero space. The first round, she was creating space. She was getting opportunities, but. Yeah, this is just. She's miserable right now. Shevchenko is chest to chest this entire fight now. There's no room to breathe. She's just absolutely.
Starting point is 03:04:51 miserable. Just grinding this one away. She's exhausted. She's just getting... Val, you could have done this two years ago. I would have appreciated it. But the toes right in the fence, Alexa. I mean, they're not going to call it.
Starting point is 03:05:05 Don't worry about it. Oh, now we move into the crucifix. Oh, boy. Got it. That legs locked in. I don't even know Val's going to open up with big punches here. You don't need to. She's going to hold the crucifix.
Starting point is 03:05:17 Hold it there. Just a whole... Oh, now here comes some shots. Good shots. ice is this round. Yeah, lay a little punishment. Ice is the round even despite the punishment. There you go.
Starting point is 03:05:25 It's a beautiful fourth round. We're up 40 to 36. I should have never doubted my girl. We're up 40, 36. You're five minutes away from just delivering the absolute goods here. I should have never doubted my girl. I was the conductor of the bullet train. Yep.
Starting point is 03:05:44 And then you jumped off. Well, you burned me twice in a horrifying way. I mean, it is what it is. It just hurts me. I held the coach. It seems like they're being realistic here because there are certain coaches and I think we've seen some earlier tonight.
Starting point is 03:06:08 They're like, yeah, you're winning this fight. You're okay. Just win this round and you win the fight. Yeah, I mean, the thing is, I don't even know what you tell. You've got to tell her she needs a finish because she clearly does. 100%.
Starting point is 03:06:19 I don't even know how she gets it. Like, outside of Valentina giving her back, which she did the last time. I just don't, you gotta be like, you gotta go out and swing as hard as you can every punch. Yes.
Starting point is 03:06:34 Like, you can't be... All right, round five, do or die. There's no jobs allowed. Upper, just swing massive knees and uppercuts as Chivchanko changes levels. Chichengo is being very smart. If I'm Chifchango's corner...
Starting point is 03:06:50 Do not turn your back at all. If I'm Chivchango's corner, I say don't literally run away in this round. Just do not just circle away. Because she's, Grasso's never been a fight who's really going to force the issue. She's going to give you the double leg.
Starting point is 03:07:02 She's going to give it to you. She's just take it. I honestly wouldn't even do it. Like, I would just do this. I would never throw more than one punch and move around. The only way she can lose is to get finished. Don't invite that whatsoever. Like, this is jab.
Starting point is 03:07:22 Left hand stays high. You jab, you move. You jab, you move. Good left from Chevy. Good left from Chevy. I never doubted it for a second, Mike. I always believed. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:07:33 This is a reverse psychology? No, I always believed. There's no video evidence of me doubting her. Okay. There's a lot of video evidence of me saying Valentina Schochenko is the greatest female fighter of all time. There is a lot. Oh, good combo from Schochenko there.
Starting point is 03:07:46 Yep. I'm just, you know, relax a little bit. Knock her out. Knock her out, Val. No. Knock her out, Val. Do the thing. No.
Starting point is 03:07:54 Oh. This is how you do the thing. This is beautiful. Good spoil from Grosso. Now you're false sense of security. Let's get a finish, guys. Let's get a finish. Grasso now.
Starting point is 03:08:09 No, don't turn it back. Don't you dare. She is so close to throwing the head and on the throw. No, don't you do it. Don't you do it? Just stay right there. Also, yeah, we really should have seen more of this from Grasso digging in shooting. Just maybe take this.
Starting point is 03:08:22 She hawses. Oh, she has his ball. She's got the back. She's got the mouth. Grosso in the mouth. Put your. Oh, shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:08:31 I mean, just a championship medal. I was Grasso. Oh, there's the Hassan. There's the Hassan. Over under trip, take her down. Grasso against the fence can't get up. Man,
Starting point is 03:08:43 the speed with which Grasso actually got a takedown really makes me think she should have tried this sooner. Oh, yeah. Back to her feet. Oh, boy. I mean, Grasso got a little over half the round left. I mean, get in a... Oh, good combo.
Starting point is 03:09:00 Oh, that's stunger a little bit. A little combination. Oh, and the take down. Power double. Oh, tried to get the body. body wrap roll and gets back to her feet with it. She got a hosser again. Uh, maybe that.
Starting point is 03:09:10 Do not turn that hip. Cross, his hips are back. So now we're here. Just, just, just, just, just hold. If you're Chefchenko literally just hold this position. Just do that. Exactly that. Or just hold this. A couple knees to the legs.
Starting point is 03:09:25 A couple knees and fighting. Punch her in the arm. That's fine. Like little, just little things to chip away. Chango, man, I'm fearful. Got an underhub. It might be a terrible fight to watch. just a hot they're just they're going to be here and just holding each other yeah just
Starting point is 03:09:41 hawson and then doing uh very light kickboxing yep i mean chivchango is actually just holding this is not looking for anything right now terrific is a full head position eat clock and this is smart oh inside trip there's a rousseau just doesn't work but she tried she tried to make something happen and now chenko in the gar this is beautiful looking a pass Mike, you may have spiked this one. Yep, this is spectacular. You may have done half of what you needed. I felt really good about this pick the entire time, too.
Starting point is 03:10:19 I, Grasso didn't have her again tonight. And Chivchenko, great gameplay and great execution. Grasso back to her feet, though. She learned. She learned. Just be physical. I mean, it took her twice. Took her 40 minutes of fighting.
Starting point is 03:10:36 Yep. But she did finally get this. idea. It's like when Steppe figured out after fighting Daniel Cormier for 30 minutes, and if you punch him in the body, that's a better plan. That's Chavhtonko. She got there in the end. 50 seconds, Grasso, to defend your belt. Mexico having a really bad night in the love letter, Mexico. Oh, good, good, soft. Val, Val, Val, Val, Val, Val, Val, Val, Val. That's beautiful. That's beautiful. Just hold. Beautiful work. Just hug her. It's beautiful work. Oh, yeah. Oh, Grasso tried the inside.
Starting point is 03:11:07 She's inside control. Don't even move. Sheffchenko just sat her down. Don't even move. Yep. Man, that is... Casual. Casual plus 125.
Starting point is 03:11:19 My second round draft pick, not delivering points is... No fighting. I ended up currently with just the championship. Oh, no, no, no, no. I mean, it's nine seconds. She's not going to finish it with nine seconds. But Shevchenko ends with a back control, backpack.
Starting point is 03:11:36 Legs across. Go for the... Go for the shitty foot lock. Galantina Shepchenko. I mean. For all of us who were on the train and remained on the train. We never doubted it. We never doubted it to the bullet train, the Chevy truck.
Starting point is 03:11:50 Never doubted it once. One of the greatest female fighters of all time. That's a champion right there. Ted is absolutely your champion. And they all know it. The whole crowd knows it. The whole world knows it. By decision.
Starting point is 03:12:09 Let's go. That was the worst outcome for me. That's beautiful. Beautiful. Bam. Just a very discipline. My bet fails. You are now 25 points back of me in our competition.
Starting point is 03:12:28 My fantasy points I get, what, 25? So much trouble. What's our criteria for title fight is 20? So I do get 20 points for that. I don't think I'm going to be getting any bonuses off that fellow. 20 points, that's tough. I get the free 20, though. That's better than a lot of the zeros are put up by people.
Starting point is 03:12:47 That's true. I am now officially ahead of you in our fantasy scoring right now. There you go. You have zero points. I do have 20. I've not had one fighter compete yet. You've not. So I'm officially ahead of you.
Starting point is 03:12:59 So there's that. You're ahead of me on all fronts right now. 103 a.m. And we still have the main event. And nobody drafted Valentina Shipchenko. This would be a big point swing if you drafted Valentinian. Because you get 100 for the win. you get 25 for the ranked win
Starting point is 03:13:19 like you get 20 for a title fight it would be 145 points if somebody had taken about if max hallway wasn't available I would have taken her who I mean Valentine's very very happy obviously deserves to be she got it back
Starting point is 03:13:36 third 40 45 fourth woman to be a two-time champion now fifth it could have done that the first time Val doing the whole announcement with Bruce Buffer. Yeah. 50, 45 and new.
Starting point is 03:14:04 One of the greatest of all time. Can't be upset with one of the goats. Could have done that the first time though, Val. What's she going to say? She's going to be very nice. And she's just going to fight Minot. I don't think that's a performance that gets removed to 135, but it would be kind of cool.
Starting point is 03:14:28 I mean, she just knew what needed to be done tonight. I decision. Championship performance should have done it the first time. Bouncing a very happy. Ah, man. I mean... Could you still get a 309 announcement? I hope not, because at this point,
Starting point is 03:15:06 it's going to be the longest pay-per-view in history. We're close. It's 105, and we haven't gotten the last movie, the whole pageantry in the intro. Yeah, this is, I think this is going to break... This is absolutely going to break... Well, besides 300, where we did the entire card. This will be...
Starting point is 03:15:23 Mike, we didn't have a good night in Picks. And the Francis Inganu, Anthony Joshua card. This is, um, yeah, this is going to be 297 for sure.
Starting point is 03:15:33 Yep. So 25 points behind me, Mike. Who's in the lead? Uh, David Martin for our internals has, uh,
Starting point is 03:15:40 done extremely well. The villain Gene Alshadi stuck and like he's, he gets to be in this pick. So that's, no, boot his ass out. What are we doing? I may have to.
Starting point is 03:15:50 Yeah. I don't know who, uh, is the moderator of this channel. It's either me or Casey. Because I'm the one who started the picking thing. internally. I came here 18 years ago or whatever.
Starting point is 03:16:00 But I think Casey may have started the tap. Casey was the only said we should move to tapology because previously we were doing out of spreadsheet. Yeah, that's way easier. It's substantially easier. The goat, we'll get her out there being the goat. Yes. Once again, champion of the world.
Starting point is 03:16:22 She goes up, she wins 1.35. Maybe they bring back the 1.45. She can beat Alex Pereira to being the first triple champ. Valentina versus Kayla Harrison for the I suspect Kayla Harrison would beat
Starting point is 03:16:35 Valentina Shubchenko but I'm not 100% on that yeah I don't think you would 100% go all in on it oh hold on
Starting point is 03:16:52 it's so classy yeah thanking Alexa and her team yeah that was one of the thing that was very Valentina loved about this the build to this fight was there
Starting point is 03:17:15 it's all about the all about the fight there's no trash talk very respectful yeah they've had their sort of journey of a rivalry went a lot of places i'm glad we're done with it don't need to do that ever
Starting point is 03:17:30 again um super don't need them to have a fight again i'm comfortable with where we're at though again i was one i realized afterwards i was one of the very few people who thought grasseh won the second fight i think most people thought chifchenko won the second fight but i was one of those people that chifchenko won the same fight um all right there's turkey and uh yeah we're moments-ish away and Terrence Crawford. Look at old Bud. They gave Bud Crawford, Kendrick Lamar's info, the Grammy winning artist, Super Not Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 03:18:08 Wow. Way to beef that one up, guys. Jean Wayley. They're not putting any name. They're not putting any name graphics up now. I just love the Poetan just walks around in vests. As if people do that in life. Just a vest.
Starting point is 03:18:43 Don't need anything else. The vest. There's like two buttons. Casey, you hear me, this cut off sleeves, sleevels shirt thing, no. Become a vest guy. That's where you need to be. Yeah. Winner, Valentina Shepchango, all of Vegas now knows because it's on the outside of the sphere.
Starting point is 03:19:03 I'm looking on the sides at all the cars to see if there's anybody bashing in the one. I mean, should be. The thing is, hey, there's a giant ball. It's a huge fear. Uh, yeah, looks like we're not getting a 309 announcement. It sure seems like we're not. Dana's going to yell and scream. I'm wild to have them both there and not do it.
Starting point is 03:19:28 Also, just announce the freaking fight. We know it's happening. You announced the co-mate event yesterday. Just announce the main event. Oh, if Rob robs him, my fantasy season is over. I are cooked. I am out. I get another 20 points for the title fight, so that's at least happening for me.
Starting point is 03:19:55 I'm now up to 40 points in the season, but Manuel Torres was a bold pick. It was a very bold pick. I felt good about Grasso and O'Malley. If my night ends with just being wrestled to death, it'll be the saddest. Because I'll have 25 minutes to know what's happening. We're going to know early how this fight goes. This is a big Read season I believe it must be
Starting point is 03:20:31 Okay All right It is Final Final picks from the peeps Who wins the main event Is it gonna be Sean O'Malley Is it gonna be Marab Duos
Starting point is 03:20:42 Really Is this it? Is this the promo? Oh it actually looks like it is Or is just the John Jones You rule at everything Well we'll never know Unless Depe never shows up Because this is the John Jones
Starting point is 03:20:56 You rule but I assume they'll just cut it in steepe at the end. Oh my God, I hope it's... Oh, there's steeping. There's steep A. There it is. It's finally been announced, guys. All right. Okay, it's official.
Starting point is 03:21:15 Thank goodness. The fight that one person, or two people have asked, three people have asked for. John Jones is defeated. You can't just lie. He is defeated. Like, I don't know what to tell you guys. He lost.
Starting point is 03:21:34 It was lost. It was lost. lost. That's the, that is the part that just blood makes me so frustrated. Like, well, no, officially he beat Dominic Reyes. Cool. Then officially he lost. You got to, if you're going by the scorecard, you got to go by the scorecard, man.
Starting point is 03:21:53 All right. Are we going to get more fights? Please, I'm going to get more fights. Surely this will be a, I mean, we, we confirmed a bunch of all. Oh, there is. That 10-gallon hat on that 12-pound bag of chicken. Oh, there's a brother, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:22:09 Maybe both brothers can't see. Oh, yeah, both brothers. The whole Jones family. Look at how small John Jones is compared to his siblings. I know. It's crazy. Alex Burr is so not impressed. That's it?
Starting point is 03:22:21 Just the two fights? I guess. Big old chicken. It's probably for time things. They're just like, all right. I mean, at this point, you just got. I mean, Chris Wyman, Eric Anders is happening on that card. And that's it.
Starting point is 03:22:36 I was hoping for a little bit more. Don't you make Steve a, or don't you make Daniel Cormier defend this like Joe Rogan's doing? you're so full of shit DC yeah but like you cannot defend this with its merit DC come on you are on your YouTube channel saying the exact opposite saying that hey if I'm John Jones I'm fighting this guy for the paycheck
Starting point is 03:23:11 that's prize fighting don't defend it as like the meritocratic choice this is ridiculous and John Annik was like High Tom Asperol yeah Steve hasn't want to fight in this presidential administration. I don't know what else to tell you other than that. Like, I just don't.
Starting point is 03:23:30 That's an insane thing. Are you going to defend Kamara Uspen getting a... Is it Uspen getting a title shot now? Is that what we're doing here? Usman is a more defensible and still entirely undefensible. Oh, yeah, 100%. It's so bad. Oh, big old chicken.
Starting point is 03:23:46 That's what he is. Would Uspan getting a title shot be worse than Colby getting one? No, Colby getting... Colby had a win, though. But Colby hadn't fought in like a year, and his win was Jorge Moswell. But he still got a win. I think Guestan's is more defensible. Again, I don't like any of these.
Starting point is 03:24:08 I'd like people who deserve title fights. He had title fights. Like Mara Gola's Philly. Like Maraub deserves a title shot. Mara absolutely deserves a title shot. Where'd they go from here... Watching Umar gets skipped over by Davis and Figuera. Omer versus Figgie Smalls will be interesting.
Starting point is 03:24:23 that's a good fight I mean I would watch tell on that fight but I mostly just want them both to get title shots so triple threat match that would be sick all right final chapter of the story hopefully it's like a 30 second one we're gonna don't be glib
Starting point is 03:24:40 we're gonna see the future of Mexico right that's the future the future looks like a cave is he guys met Hadeghie it looks like Tomb Raider I'm not even kidding she runs really fast it actually looks like a mobile Tomb Raider game
Starting point is 03:24:53 And now she's flying without wings. She has no control over her flying. I don't understand what's happening right now, but the future of Mexico looks pretty large. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of buildings in the, a lot of green buildings. Trees growing out of buildings. Yeah. We're doing the, uh, the green city landscape thing. Rotating. Trees on every building.
Starting point is 03:25:22 That's the biggest staircase I've ever seen. And now we're at the top. It appears that if you'd like to make money, invest in concrete. Because the future of Mexico is a lot of concrete and a lot of trees. And shrubbery. Concrete and shrubberies. For sure. Get your money in now. And apparently diamonds and jewels and...
Starting point is 03:25:48 This is cool. Yeah, I like this. I like whatever, this sort of kaleidoscope thing we got going here. So I just need Sean O'Malley not to get a finish in round two. That's a guy that knockout around. round two. And not going to matter because I have knockout two. It's just round two is the concern.
Starting point is 03:26:11 Yeah. Any other outcome. Submission round two, you're okay. No, I'm not. You get the 25 for the round two. Oh. Just cannot be finished in round two. You'll get the round bonus.
Starting point is 03:26:36 We'll get our final promo set here going. The longest freaking pay-per-view. But it's not, but it hasn't been like a slog. It really hasn't. The pacing is not. been great, but because all this other stuff is going on, yeah. It feels fine.
Starting point is 03:26:51 Oh, yeah. But I didn't realize until you said something earlier. I'm going to look down the Osborne fight was great. The Zell Huber fight was great. Lopez Ortega was good. I'm glad they did 10 fights, though. If we had started this, like, we'd started coverage at 530 with the earlier at least. Yeah, I'd be tough.
Starting point is 03:27:11 We're still in this little more. Dario 7 has 15 fights. I think is we've had a long day, Mike. We played golf. We sure did. 14 planes. We did. In the rain.
Starting point is 03:27:23 It was just missed. It misted for almost the entire round. It was weird. But I got... Shot an 83. I don't know what you shot. 86. Totally reasonable.
Starting point is 03:27:32 It wasn't bad. I started off real hot. So good until the last two holes and I just imploded. Yeah. Like a big dumb idiot. Here we go. You had to drive too. So you factor in your drive.
Starting point is 03:27:47 I had to work super late last night to cover all this stuff. We've had a lot going on. And I'm still totally into this because the show has been really good. Yeah, the show has been good. The Sugar Show could continue. That would be exceptional for me personally.
Starting point is 03:28:02 I will say, I think I would love them to come back. What are we got here? I mean, it's a fact at this point in time. It is a fact at this point in time. Oh, that's spectacular. I'll say I've had a lot of fun with the Sphere thing. I hope they come back because this is a, there's cool stuff. I really want to hear the live experience because I do not believe that this has lived up to the greatest sporting event of all time stuff.
Starting point is 03:28:32 But I've enjoyed it. It's all this good stuff. I'm glad they tried. They took a big swing. And I think more of it succeeded than failed. I agree. I can't say I love the background with all the re-ad season stuff. I get it.
Starting point is 03:28:48 I don't love it. I think it's objectively pretty funny. Yeah. The future of Mexico is Saudi Arabia. Well, the future of the world is sporting events. I mostly just think it's funny that this card that is a celebration of Mexican independence is sponsored by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Those two things are, they're in opposition to one another, but it is what it is.
Starting point is 03:29:18 Get the Bud Light logo, chilling. I do agree that Mara. probably not the athlete, O'Malley is, but O'Malley's not like an otherworldly athlete either. Maraub's just a brute. Yeah, Maraub is a cardiovascular monster. Yeah. Like, Maraub's on that Diaz brothers.
Starting point is 03:29:41 You should just do, be a triathlete. Just do that. It's a little too short to be doing the Tour of France, but like, let that guy ride a bike forever. Oh, yeah. Just suffer forever. The idea rod. Jedd ever heard of A7X
Starting point is 03:29:59 You look like Matt Shadows Heck, you look like Trinity from Matrix Big love and massive respect Next coffee is on me Thank you Alex Andrew I have no idea what A7X is So no But I'm gonna take that
Starting point is 03:30:11 As that is the most handsome character In whatever that is Band show film And you're right I'm a very handsome man Thank you for noticing And humble Yeah not that much
Starting point is 03:30:25 That's fine Yeah, that's true. You do play the number one ball and golf. I play the most popular ball and golf. The disrespect you people had for choosing partners. I chose you like every time. I'm playing the most popular ball and golf. You think I'm just flitting around here with some Wilson staffs?
Starting point is 03:30:45 Nonsense. There comes Marab de Wallis Willie. With the hat, ready to go, ready to make his dreams come true. The future of Mexico, apparently they can project massive holograms over downtown Mexico City. Yeah. Of Marad Walsh, really. Weaponized cardio, your favorite. Your favorite thing.
Starting point is 03:31:14 I hate it so much. He's out there weaponizing punches, John. You don't weaponize a weapon, you ass. It just is. Weaponizing the cardio. I'm just going to start saying that. Look at Rob. Like, he's just skipping and frolicing.
Starting point is 03:31:33 He is extremely happy to be there. Handshakes. Until Sean Amalley weaponizes his fists all over his face. I mean, he is very, very pumped. Rob, Ray Longo, Al Jemaine Sterling, John Wood. It's a hell of a corner right there. There's a lot of people that are good at their jobs. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:32:00 A lot of people who know what they're doing. I'd love to know what the crowd reaction is right now. It's kind of tough to tell. Yeah. I didn't notice this until you just said that, but I haven't heard a big pop from the crowd. They're like... For about, like the start of Alexa Grasso song, certainly.
Starting point is 03:32:27 A little, like, it's still, the audio is just, it's just different. I think they're going to boom for... They agree they're going to boom for Sean. Kaelix's right. How much were the tickets to see this live? So when they started, they were very expensive. They dropped either a grand, like $1,400 maybe, That was the
Starting point is 03:32:48 intro. That was the lowest. Yeah. But earlier this week, they had started reselling, dropping, you get them like seven. I don't know if Fight Night,
Starting point is 03:32:56 I didn't actually look, should have done that. I would guess you probably could have found something from the 500 neighborhood. But that is a stone guess. It's not based on anything. So we looked at
Starting point is 03:33:09 a great Twitter page Russell Ticks earlier today. They had like, as of, I don't know, like 2 o'clock this afternoon, there's like 150 tickets left. They had sold 15,100 of like the 15,275 or something. Yeah, it's going to end up being a sell-out. Yeah, it's going to be the biggest gate. It's going to be a gigantic gate.
Starting point is 03:33:42 Yeah. And that is the thing. Like, I, maybe it's a hat on a hat. I don't know until we see it. I would really love to see them do a Connor McGregor fight in the sphere. Because you can sell those tickets so you can still get the massive gate thing you want to do. And I get it, it's pricey because you got to do the sphere payments and you got to do the Connor payment. I didn't think you could get, I didn't think you'd be able to fit 15,000 people in here.
Starting point is 03:34:06 I didn't even with the octagon. I didn't think that was possible. We got drones in the future of Mexico who are going to be doing something special with Shawna Malley. Yeah. Morab didn't get this drone thing. Nope. They're drones on this screen. Is that shuner?
Starting point is 03:34:18 as he's looking up at the droughts crowd's popping a little here any of the crowd popping a little you know what you are what you say you are a superstar sure I don't agree necessarily
Starting point is 03:34:43 but you gotta speak it into existence these people are very excited and very drunk as they're singing that might be loud as they're excited as they are there comes Comes Sean O'Malley.
Starting point is 03:35:03 There he is. Yeah, they're popping now. Definitely hear the crowd right now. This, I mean, it's just... His vibe has been unbelievable for this build. Man, it's losing confidence. Interesting, we're not getting the same... This is a fun drone shot through the crowd.
Starting point is 03:35:22 We're not getting the same digital walkouts that they did for the co-main event. They're just giving us the full walkout here. All right, Sean. Knock him out, but don't do it too. Like this walkout looks so cool. It's good. With all that stuff in the background, it's tremendous. Either knock him out immediately or a little bit later.
Starting point is 03:35:47 We don't want you to talk about the second round. Oh, be the best. We really like to knock him out in the first round. I'm going to lose my... The first round would be the best because that would make up... First round, I'm for sure getting a performance bonus kick. Get the early knockout bonus championship title fight, main event, all of those. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 03:36:16 Really don't want to go 0 for three on my fantasy team. It's one of those days. You're like, yeah, man. Derek Henry pulled the hammy in the first play of the game. I feel like Shaheen Al-Shay is going to have like 300 total fantasy points for the entire season. I hope so. It would be awesome. It would be the best.
Starting point is 03:36:36 I didn't realize it until we set up the group chat. My favorite thing lately is now just getting to bomb on people in the group chat about the fantasy. Because it's just like fantasy football with your brain. It's like, ha, you idiot, you drafted Yasminiard. Drones with actual Easter eggs. Is that what those were? Those are the Easter eggs?
Starting point is 03:36:52 Oh, that would be sick. Was that what that was? I mean, that would be sick. They kind of look like that. Okay. I won't even lie. I stopped even sort of looking for the Easter eggs thing. But great eye, if that's true.
Starting point is 03:37:08 Big if true. And he's gotten clearance. All right. They're going freaking. Crowd is going for him. They're here for O'Malley. A little cartwheel. Staring down the hub.
Starting point is 03:37:34 Yep. Just 13 seconds his ass. Let's be done with it. That would be insane. I mean, that would be... How about five minutes and 13 seconds of ass? That'd be... 13 seconds is that.
Starting point is 03:37:48 Flying, Horamothal, his ass. Just flying knee. I mean, you could do what he did to Darren Till, round two. No. Just sleep them. We're not looking for round two. we're not looking for them to.
Starting point is 03:38:02 I'm going to lose my ever-loving mind if it happens. I mean, it feels like it's tracking that way, doesn't it might? I've had a lot of wins personally lately. Maraudens to follow Valentina's game plan. Is this a seven-hour card? Yes, it's every other card. Yeah, this is interestingly
Starting point is 03:38:18 a 10-fight seven-hour card, but yes. We're on six. We are at six hours right now. You know, this fight, this is, card's going to go until two a little after. and then post show we got a post show coming up Mike yes perhaps I was cautiously optimistic when I built it instead of for 2 a.m. Eastern that ain't happened to them I mean if Sean gets the knockout right now yeah and then we zip through the post fight press conference just five minutes each car wash it let's get going I mean if it is feasible but no I don't believe that's going to happen we're going to try to simulcast oh that would be terrific If we can do it.
Starting point is 03:39:01 For me personally. Or multi-cast. Oh, I love the, uh, oh, uh, trash can lid fell off. Oh, okay. My recycling can lid fell off. That's going to be, uh, that's a sign, second round. That's a sign, immediate knockout.
Starting point is 03:39:20 It's so excited that my recycling is so excited about this event. I wonder what the, it's time's going to look like. Oh, we get it outside with the American flag. Not Buffer's best one. Rob hitting himself. I mean, not surprised. Just seems like the thing Marab would do. Yeah, why not, you know?
Starting point is 03:40:28 Third time closing as an underdog and his 13-fight UFC run. I'm honestly. Shout out to you, everyone's worst nightmare. Shout out to you. I mean, shout out to any of you watching. Yeah, you guys are all the real MVP. This has been our job. And you're here for the love of the game.
Starting point is 03:40:48 you're watching the card with us, I think you'd probably appreciate it more. But if you're just like, all right, tell me what happens without actually, without us not buying the pay-per-view, it's probably tough because this has been a long one. There's just been a lot of all decisions. That's true, isn't it? I didn't realize that. Yeah. I mean, who's, um, Kettlun Suza has a head of knockout and Ignacio Bahamondez.
Starting point is 03:41:22 Bahamondays and Keltin Suza got a submission. That's right. Like, yeah. Yeah. But the fight's been good. So, I mean... It's been fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:41:30 All the fights for the most part have been fun, you know, there's been... The co-made event, it wasn't. Yeah. It's straight up, it wasn't very fun. This could very well be the same. But it was a very significant fight. So if it's not going to be fun, be meaningful. And it's the final face off.
Starting point is 03:41:46 Look at that. You just knock that small man out immediately. Marab is talking to him. Marab clearly believes he is about... to run over this dude. And Sean and Ali's like already envisioned it for like... Oh, see, this is the future of Mexico now. That's the future of Mexico.
Starting point is 03:42:02 Now the, now the Octagon Girl is in the future of Mexico, and I got to tell you, this is the worst one of them. This is actually the worst of the costumes. The future is bad is what we've earned. The past is better. All right, here we go. Oh, no. Sean feints early to get himself feeling soft.
Starting point is 03:42:25 Yeah. Marab, Rob smiles at him. Sean, trying to hold that center. I like that. Marab talking to somebody over there. What is happening?
Starting point is 03:42:37 It doesn't have his mouth guard. Oh, Marab was talking to Tim Welch, and he kept talking to him during the fight, and then Herb Dean jumped in as like, don't do this shit. That was weird. Because then Maraub was kind of being like, hey man,
Starting point is 03:43:01 don't like stop this fight or maybe he was yelling at Tim Welch to stop I you know we didn't talk about a lot in the buildup but there has been this like budding bristling negativity between Tim Welch and the camp dating back to the Tim Welch calling for the finish
Starting point is 03:43:19 of Aljo etc and Rob and while he's getting into it spinning kick comes up comes up short for the champ like kick from Robb that was super weird yeah I'm such a crazy person. Also, that's just a bona fide win for O'Malley
Starting point is 03:43:36 if Maraub's just looking at Tim Welch in the corner instead of fighting his ass. Stant switches, lots of him. Amali stand switching, keeping his back away from the cage, keeping a long range. We're just going to try and pick Marab off coming in and pot shot him a distance. I mean, that's the game plan.
Starting point is 03:43:59 Yeah. Thank you. Lots of fans. It's a pretty obvious game plan. But if they can add in the Tim Welch wrinkle, Yeah, it's a pretty good wrinkle. I thought he's like yelling at fan. I thought he didn't have mouth guard.
Starting point is 03:44:10 Oh, good left hand. Got a little stick there? Hmm. Rob getting some good pressure here, though. He's cutting the cage fairly well. Yeah, he's usually very good at that. Good kick from Rob. Rob is yet to shoot.
Starting point is 03:44:27 We are two minutes in and has not even looked at it. Wolling O'Malley in, perhaps. Oh. mally's sticking that jab down the center haven't seen a lot of front kicks from amalley and that was one of my big questions because it's such a central part to his offense but obviously you know start kicking that opens up some opportunities from rob to make things happen
Starting point is 03:44:52 a couple good jabs around malle and instead o'malli's just sticking the jab i like these long punches to the body from amalli really set that range oh good left hand from o'malley left hand from amalli left hand from amel I mean, O'Malley would be more than comfortable for this to be the fight. Oh, 100%. If Marab is content to do this, Marab, run headlong and get knocked out now. Don't, or just stay away from him for the next seven minutes. Right hand from him.
Starting point is 03:45:24 Oh, first shot from Marab gets inside, gets a body clinch, gets a takedown, starts great buying the leg. Amale's got his shoulders against the fence. He's going to try and build a base up. And Rob lands a couple of punches, but Mali's up to his feet. Rob, Melvin some more punches. This is this. This is this is this is this is this is a. Amali drops to a knee and he's trying to break the hands while Maraup knees him in the
Starting point is 03:45:50 butt over and over again. He's got a lot of knees to the butt. He just lets you get up and they just take you down again. He just gets down again. There's so many knees to the butt. Um, back. Mackie back up. Backing up more knees to the butt.
Starting point is 03:46:03 Now Amali gets a a leg blocker in there. Can't clear the hands, though, which means, oh, but Marab stops to punch, so now Amali's going to break the hands and get the space. And O'Malley got separation. That's good. Good little motion. Good moment for Marab. Because he knows it's got to be round two, so just, you know, let Marab of his moment.
Starting point is 03:46:21 Catch him right now. Or Marab Marab the hell out of him next round, and then get knocked out of him. That's my official prediction. Final minute around one. Oh, Malay missed a big left there. And then Marab's hit the combo and gets to him. Rob is, this is classic Maraub. Ooh.
Starting point is 03:46:43 Scramble by Amali. That was a really fun getting to a sort of daily heap of Mara. Rob diving on a guillian dropping. Almost moved to Mount. I don't think he's going to go. Amali rolled through. Yeah. No, he's not, John Hennie.
Starting point is 03:47:00 Still holding this front headlock and got O'Malley cramped against the cage here. And Marop is on his way to winning this round. Amelie fights two on ones of the hand, stands up. Get space. back up again. Now Rob pointing, talking trash. And you know, Rob's just not going to slow down. No.
Starting point is 03:47:25 And he won the first round. I think there's a really good chance he wins the fight by winning the first round. But I think it was critical for him to win the first round. If he lose the first round, I didn't like his chances. Yeah. I think he's got to, I mean, it's going to be the betting favorite round too. And I've got that 10-9, Rob. Yeah, I think that's fair.
Starting point is 03:47:43 Pretty straightforward. I've had some moments on the feet. but marob marobden you sure did and o'malley's looking pretty good early Tim Welch saying beautiful round beautiful round beautiful round beautiful round on the marab side beautiful round on the omelie side beautiful round on the omelie side beautiful round on the marab side Ray Longel gives him a hug I got to survive five minutes I got to survive five minutes oh my God the tension is in the air this would be I don't care for this.
Starting point is 03:48:44 This might be the greatest. This would be one of the greatest moments and watch party yesterday. One of the greatest comebacks of all time. You were down big. You needed perfect, perfect, and you got five minutes. I mean, I love at O'Malley's submission
Starting point is 03:48:56 would be fine here. Oh, no, that still wouldn't. God damn it. No, you can't win this round in Malley. I mean, you can win the round. You can win the round. You can't win the fight this round. 15 seconds.
Starting point is 03:49:10 Let's speed up that clock. Marab. Feeling spicy with a head kick. Wow, what an analogy from deep. It's very difficult to pinpoint. A butterfly and a windstorm. Incredible. I mean, I've never heard that one for, but I love that, Dean.
Starting point is 03:49:43 I mean, Maraub doesn't have to slow down if Amali doesn't make him work. I love we're getting a lot of heart rate stats. We got the resting heart rate at the beginning. Heart rate recovery. O'Malley went from 152 to 134. Devalesvilly 154 to 141. Sean's recovery was impressive. Also, don't know how they're getting heart rate stats
Starting point is 03:50:03 because they're not wearing heart monitors. Good rip to the body by O'Malley. There's a good little right hand in. Just dug it under the. Mob, stop engaging. Maab, don't engage. We don't want to, don't engage. Just sprint.
Starting point is 03:50:17 I don't need you to be here. Just stay away from him for another three minutes and 30 seconds. You're ready to throw that knee up the middle, Sean. He really should. Get ready to throw that knee right up the middle. Marab is having a ton of success cutting O'Malley off. Molli's not quite getting back to the cage, but he is getting outside of the black tread.
Starting point is 03:50:39 Oh, a clean double-leg transition. Just ducked under a big right hand from Amali, immediately plants O'Malley down. And Marab is trying to advance to half. Amali, good at getting guard back, but this is a Marab fight. Yep. Like we said, we kind of figured how... Oh, good.
Starting point is 03:50:59 O'Malley's gone for the body triangle from the bottom. instead of standing up. Well, now he's opened up. And Marab, just doing Marab stuff from the top position. Yep. And the crowd is silent. Hmm. Oh, no, he's got the legs now involved.
Starting point is 03:51:19 Got the feet on the hips, little butterfly is going to get them off. Create a little space. Oh, oh, oh, oh, my. Oh, nice up kick. Good up kick, but Marob just smacks this down. Can you imagine if he upkick him? Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 03:51:31 My mind. Rob, just do this for two minutes and 20 seconds and then get knocked out next round. That's what we're looking for here. This is going bad for Jed Meshugh's fantasy of May dreams. It's not the night we were hoping for, Mike. I'm glad we didn't set a punishment for losing our fantasy of May League. Oh, look at O'Malley trying to triangle.
Starting point is 03:51:55 Oh! What? I think he grabbed glove. I mean, I'm not sure you do the time here. Oh, he's going to get back to. So okay. It's actually not bad refereeing then. That's fine.
Starting point is 03:52:11 That's actually fine. O'Malley was a 100% dug in the glove to try and attack this. Herb. Well done. They were in a functionally neutral position. He returned the position. I mean, you know, he was never going to take a point because no one takes points. But not bad.
Starting point is 03:52:30 Rob, Maraub maybe looking to get himself to the back mount. Oh, O'Malley pivots back. Amali again, doing the Lexa Grasso thing of you should not be trying to attack from here. It's not going to work. Oh, good elbows from Rob. And now Amali finally rolls. But he didn't, why did you toss away that under?
Starting point is 03:52:55 Oh, again, O'Malley really trying to throw his legs for triangles that have no chance of success. Yeah. I mean, Rob is now putting on him right now. This is the fight. This is how you break fighters. is this is the first round Marab was winning position. He's winning position. He's making him all the work.
Starting point is 03:53:13 He's hitting him. This is a bad start for the champ and for my hopes and dreams. Yeah, I think we're going to have a new champion. However, Mike, most importantly, we have 40 seconds that Marab needs to hold this position. And I am still victorious over you. Herbie. Herbie, Herbie's not working hard enough. Stand him up, Herb.
Starting point is 03:53:34 Stand him up, Herb. Am Alex getting to his feet? You might have a chance here. Oh, Marab really kneeing the hell out of that leg here. 20 and, oh, I don't, oh, Sean needs a lot of change here. Oh, now Marab going for a seated guillotine with 15 seconds left. I mean, I don't think this is really going to hit, but there's no risk here. Oh, and Marab doing the, oh, oh, wow.
Starting point is 03:54:05 Oh, that is incredible. What are you doing? Incredible. Oh, no. Herb, what are you doing? Herb broke. I assume Herb broke that up. I need to see that back.
Starting point is 03:54:23 I thought Herb broke them to stand up. If Marab just bailed and walked away, O'Malley, Maraub gets off of this position, O'Malley gets up and hits him. Oh, my God. Can you imagine that's how the fight ended? I've been freaking crazy.
Starting point is 03:54:37 I legitimately thought that was O'Malley cheating. So I need to know, because I thought this was, somehow a stand. Marab's doing this fake pump thing. No, he didn't, hurt didn't do anything. No. And the round isn't over?
Starting point is 03:54:49 No. No. I don't know what the... The horn sounded like three seconds after. I have no idea what Marab was doing. That was very, very dumb. Was he talking to Tim Welch again? I truly have no idea.
Starting point is 03:54:59 Like, he bailed on the choke that was never going to get there. He was doing the fake sell it like, oh, I'm close to win the round. But I officially win our picks. So that's terrific. Yeah, son of a bitch. Oh, I'm going to live. lose fantasy, though, because Maraub... That might actually be better in the long run.
Starting point is 03:55:15 Morav is beating the soul out of this man. And I've got to sing a stupid song. And O'Malley surely is now angry, because I would be angry that this guy's punking me like this. Let's get a third... Let's get a... It's good TKL finish here, round three, baby. What is he doing?
Starting point is 03:55:34 Daniel Cormi is saying, you gotta just throw, which is correct. Umali is really... I mean, this fight is starting to look a carbon copy of the co-main event. Marob just moving a lot. It's a butterfly and a windstorm, you know? Yeah. I mean, that's, I've been such a description. Marob's switching stances?
Starting point is 03:55:59 Morob's stand switches are very clunky. But it's so funny. It's deeply funny. Yeah, Marob's marob at him. Man, he is so, oh, good little body kick there. Sean hasn't hit him clean once. He really hasn't. And that's the thing, like, I wanted Sean to be digging those body kicks
Starting point is 03:56:16 because that's, maybe you can equalize the cardio. If you can sap away some of him were out by teeping him in the belly. But he is not willing to do anything. And now he's just getting frozen. He's not throwing anything. He's really not throwing. Only things he's committing to are things that have no chance to get encountered with a takedown. Like that punch, like grazed the side of his head.
Starting point is 03:56:43 Oh, Mara's got a leg. A little snatch single from Rob. And he's just going to tackle him. And then he just runs him into the fence. And he's got to clean. That was a good knee from Maraub makes O'Malley duck down. Maraub trying to lock up a little Darce grip here. Actually has it, but I think this position along the fence is too weird.
Starting point is 03:57:05 And O'Malley going to ground there is so bad for him. Maraub breaking him. I mean, essentially round and a half in. It's pretty wild. Like O'Malley drop into his knee right there was really poor for him. I know, you know, playing the game, don't want to get knee in the head, but... Oh, good knee.
Starting point is 03:57:24 Again, he drops to the knee there to avoid the knees to the head. Buddy, I think it's worse for you to be on the ground than it is to take that knee. Yeah. Like, do a crossblock, but you can't... Oh, you get separation. You got to do something. You just got to make something happen here. I want to see the second knee.
Starting point is 03:57:43 Yeah, it's all you are. It was like at the exact same time. Ty goes to the runner. I mean, I just couldn't get less about that rule. Yeah. Oh, Amali, you talked a big game about doing what you did to Aljo. You ain't doing nothing. You are not remotely, particularly because, like, obviously O'Malley's the most dangerous in round one.
Starting point is 03:58:06 He gets progressively less dangerous. Rob's got a good chin. And you're not throwing enough to make the difference here, kid. Yeah, he hasn't hit him clean yet. I don't know if he's done to punch this round. Oh, that was a nice thing. That was a good attempt. Oh, good right hand from Rob, Jess.
Starting point is 03:58:31 is when Rob wins does Sean O'Malley have to give him the jacket they should have put the jacket on the line they should do that what are the chances the UFC just says
Starting point is 03:58:52 we're giving Sean O'Malley a rematch given how this is going I don't think very likely if there's controversy I think very likely but they just give Mumar
Starting point is 03:59:04 I mean if he gets 5045 they're just not running this back yeah but yeah exactly because that is the other thing they can just say Umar gets the title fight. Sean can fight Figaredo and then Sean wins that. Umar wins. You run it right back however it goes.
Starting point is 03:59:19 Oh, good left hand. But also, you're forgetting Sean's going to knock him out in the fourth round because that's what I predicted. That would just be the worst way to end this. It would be weird. Sean's not doing a good job of not getting him to, uh, into doubles. He's finding spot. He's finding, he's getting some reeds now.
Starting point is 03:59:43 And he's forcing Marab into the sort of snatch and pick up singles. And he's defending those much better than he is the transition doubles. But again, he's just, there's not a lot of offense being generated. Some, getting some, but like you're... He's throwing single punches. This is just not like him. You're down probably three rounds to nothing, I would assume, at this point. Like, you got a...
Starting point is 04:00:08 Oh, that was good luck, man. Oh, there's that step in knee right there. showed him the knee and used it to land the left and then just landed the step in knee I mean I think we're oh Marab is cut open somewhere a little cut on the eye Those those those that last 10 seconds
Starting point is 04:00:25 was the biggest moments of the fight Or the biggest moments of the round yeah Oh Marab is cut on the eye that he was cut in I think I don't know maybe that's not a cut Oh just a little bit of blood there Little guy Little baby cut in the eye that he was cut in
Starting point is 04:00:41 On thing but it's actually not in the same place. Is it 3-0 or do you think Sean snuck that one? I think it's 3-0. Sean just did nothing for almost all that round. But, you know, that round is more open, I would say, to interpretation. I mean, he probably should have been warmed up before round four, Tim Welch. I hate the cornering when it's all good vibes.
Starting point is 04:01:15 You're the champion. You're the sniper. Sometimes it works. usually Sean's saying something to himself. Maybe he's getting in the zone for the fourth round TKO that I called. Is he saying like
Starting point is 04:01:27 I'm willing to die in here? Some izzy vibes? I mean, he needs to be willing to kill him there. Dying isn't the issue at this moment in time. So willingness to commit physical harm
Starting point is 04:01:40 to borrow this has been a problem. Don't let weaponize cardio be your beard weaponize your freaking right hand kid. Weaponize that knee right into his facebone. The knee is, right? I mean, the knee is just been there the whole time.
Starting point is 04:01:59 When he threw it, you finally threw it and it landed. So really disciplined performance from Moran. Oh, good right hand from Sean. Marov is not like against Henry Suhudo, Marov was getting into sort of wild exchanges where he got tagged. He has not done this at all. Yeah, he's been very disciplined. It's a very, very smart fight from him.
Starting point is 04:02:25 Good jab. But again, you're now in a position. we probably need to finish, ome. That was good right. Cross counting. That one got his attention. Oh, and then Marab. Just so easy, man.
Starting point is 04:02:38 Rob punches himself into a clean double. The singles aren't working for Marab. The double has hit 100% success right here. Oh, Mara. More cops. It does have a little baby cut on the left side. Ear and the eye. It does look like the cauliflower may have been bust a little for.
Starting point is 04:03:05 John is looking for a stand-up here. It looks like. I mean, this is. is. Rob, out in the half, just going to do the chest to just
Starting point is 04:03:14 Valentina Shivchenko thing. I don't think my fourth round, K.O. that's going to hit. Maybe fifth round. Can't change it. I can't.
Starting point is 04:03:26 But, you know, at least it's still a finish. Because I don't think Sean's winning a decision at this point. We're going,
Starting point is 04:03:32 we're going past 2 a.m. This is crazy. I mean, Marob... The crowd is booing. Marab is never going to finish him and was even honest about being like, I don't finish people.
Starting point is 04:03:43 All right, I mean, I'd create a little bit of space. Herb just mothers him right back down. I think Herbs don't know if I'm going to sand him up. Those are pretty good elbows from Maraub. Maybe not anymore. He was, even when Marab was like almost a mound, he was like, come on now. Oh, Marab, looking at a straight arm lock,
Starting point is 04:04:00 staying busy. I mean, this couldn't be a more classic Marob fight. Yep. Once again, I'd like to remind everyone that Josie Aldo, actually beat Marab de Valsh William was robbed by the judges. Mard Duvalch really had zero successful takedowns on Jose Aldo.
Starting point is 04:04:17 That is truly the worst matchmaking in UFC history. It's an abomination and Aldo still won it. What it came. Jose Aldo, 18 years past his prime, stuffed every one of this dude's takedowns
Starting point is 04:04:31 and gave him the best fight anyone has since Ricky Simone. In elevation. In elevation. Unbelievable. That's my guy. goat right there. He literal.
Starting point is 04:04:42 That was literally the worst matchmaking in UFC history. Just give the man his title shot. That's my goat. And you're burying his ass on the prelims. You disrespectful, SOBs. Well, I made it to his feet.
Starting point is 04:04:56 Maraub's going to take him down again. Sure is. That's what he does. I mean, Malie's not even really fighting the hands anymore. I mean, I think everybody who sort of talked about this fight is spot on that we were going to,
Starting point is 04:05:10 you would know. We would know very quickly how it was going. I was going to go and boy, we're right. And you know, Malley is making just bad choices now. Yeah. Like, objectively, they're smart choices defensively, but, like, they're not good choices. Like, he's just getting to his butt now.
Starting point is 04:05:26 He has no chance to win doing this. Yeah, it's exactly the cold main event. Yeah. Like, Rob, like, he hasn't, like, completely broken Chana Malley, but he could see how frustrated at him is. No, yeah. Malley is very clearly frustrated about how this fight is going. He's annoyed, and he can't stop it.
Starting point is 04:05:42 Oh, well, the Sean O'Malley Superstar train has hit a brick wall. Yeah, it's not good. It's known as weaponized cardio. Oh, we're going to do the front choke thing again. You think he's going to bail on it this time and get weird? I think Omar will absolutely dominate Mara in vicious fashion. But maybe Fiki gets the window, you know? Oh, Maraub moves in to get some good punches going.
Starting point is 04:06:13 and Marab just unloading at the end. Nothing of it's major or massive, but scores points, steps away. Marab is up four rounds to nothing, ladies and gentlemen. It could be three-one. It could be three-one. Maybe I'm closer. Either way, Marat, Sean needs a finish.
Starting point is 04:06:28 Sean is in the market for a finish, and he is breathing heavy and staring like a man who is coming to grips with not being the best in the world. Tough scenes. Sometimes you tell yourself things that you believe, and then you learn that those things are not true. Yeah. We all have that.
Starting point is 04:06:46 Unfortunately for Marab, he will not have any power in calling him any shots. It will be Umar. 1,000%. Tim Walts. Tim Walts is right. Just throw that.
Starting point is 04:07:11 You got to throw that knee. You got to throw that knee. Got to throw a caution to the wind right now. The best strike, the only clean strike, like super clean strike you have landed this entire fight is that step in knee. John Aix just said on the broadcast
Starting point is 04:07:40 that John Wood told Marab, Five minutes, don't dick around. I mean, that is exceptional coaching. Yeah. Again, Rob just run away for five minutes, literally do laps. Let's see. Just no caution. I mean, truly.
Starting point is 04:08:03 Umar slash Ali tweeting out 40. Just truly just do the full cover up, Marab, and circle. Which is exactly what Umar is hoping for. Yeah, I think this is a great outcome. for Umar. I think, I think Figgi is not really in play to fight Maraub. No. Figgi was very in play for the Sean fight it. Oh, absolutely. I think Figgi and Sean may be what we get now. Um, but, uh, they're going to make Mara fight Umar in December. They're for sure making Mara fight Umar. In December. Yeah. Like the second he's ready, because they know Mara will say yes. And then,
Starting point is 04:08:40 then we're in the Umar era. Yep. We'll get Balala and Marab on the same card. Right hand overhand right from Marab and then he just tackled him. The new bandway champion. Rob the ball is really. Total ease with which he's getting these takedowns. Man, what a year. What a weird year this has been. I think Sean may be incorrect about after this event,
Starting point is 04:09:23 he's going to be the biggest star in combat sports. Yeah, I think it's going to be a rough road for him for a old bit. You know, I mean, just a suffocating matchup for him right here. Yeah. You can do Figgi I can do so Udo O'Malley Yeah you can absolutely do that
Starting point is 04:09:45 That's probably a fight I'd be all right with that That'd be fun That's probably the fight Yeah that makes sense I'd pick O'Malley to win And Figgie just gets to be next up Or whatever
Starting point is 04:09:52 There's just no wrong way To Eithee's Abandon weight really Two and a half minutes left Oh good left hand by O'Malley You gotta go son Light kick from O'Malley High kick Two minutes
Starting point is 04:10:30 and his man is watching his title slip away. Credit to him, I'll get in the Cheeto fight when he could have had to fight Marob and his first title of defense. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's super smart. Got that one under his belt, but... No, we should... Joe, that's dumb as hell. What did you say? We should all be impressed at the game plan of Maraub.
Starting point is 04:10:54 No, because we all knew the game plan, Joe. That's not to be impressed. We should be impressed by what he did. Not the plan. The plan was obvious. Or that body kick hurt him? I guess so. Oh, he didn't like that at all. He's covering up.
Starting point is 04:11:07 Oh, spinning back kick there. And Marab just retreating now. I mean, really, really O'Malley should have been kicking the body more, particularly that did hurt him. 75 seconds. Oh, he did hurt him. Oh, my God. It hurt him.
Starting point is 04:11:22 It did hurt him. Again. Oh, my God. Again, O'Malley. You just need to keep snapping that front kick in there. Make something spicy, Sean. He's going to keep shooting now. Snatch shingle.
Starting point is 04:11:35 and O'Malley's backed up to the fence. But that body work. Rob tries to throw by. Go back to the body. Oh, good knee. You got to just snap that bottom. Dig into the liver. Did it again.
Starting point is 04:11:46 Oh, Rob's shut the clock. Ooh, I don't remember if you've ever seen that before. Dig into the liver, kid. There is not an emergency, O'Malley. You got 40 seconds. What is he doing? You can't shuck your hand. You've got to force the issue.
Starting point is 04:12:00 He's not going to give it to you. Oh, yeah. Mara was still in the feeling. He's uncomfortable right now. Sean is not throwing a single strike. Sean O'Malley's not throwing a shot in 20 seconds. He's got him circled against the cage and he is just not, there's a punch at it.
Starting point is 04:12:20 It's just not pulling the trigger enough. 10 seconds, Sean, let it go. Oh, Maraub, his snatch single drops him down. Runaway, Maraub. Yeah. There's run away. Step away. You win the belt.
Starting point is 04:12:31 Unbelievable. I mean, credit to O'Malley. He found something at the end that could have been. Couldn't. He just didn't want it. He didn't make it happen. Rob wanted it. Can I shake your hand?
Starting point is 04:12:47 I think he's trying to do Tim Welch right now? Turkey. Or maybe it's turkey? Yeah. It could be anybody. It could be Jeff Bezos. It could be John Jones. Yes, that's true.
Starting point is 04:12:59 I don't know, man. Feels like you should have gone for that a little sooner than you did there. Shawnee. 203 a.m. Hey, man. Credit to the new champ. What a performance. He beat his ass, man.
Starting point is 04:13:13 He beat his ass. He's robbed all over him. Yep. He kind of broke. He broke the man. And gentlemen of shoes. Oh, my fantasy season's over. Oh, you're done.
Starting point is 04:13:24 My fantasy season is over. I'm like the minus 900 favorite right now. There's a world that Sean, you know, wants to make a turnaround, fight again, and get some points with a win. I might have to bet Khalil Roundtree at the United C307. Yeah. Look, I dared to be great, Mike. It's what I did. I dared to be great.
Starting point is 04:13:44 I got out there and I dared to be great. I couldn't take the minus 500 favorites. I didn't. All of my picks were very tight, very small favorites. And none of them won, statistically improbable. Man. Have we had an all-decision pay-per-view card this year? Nothing this year.
Starting point is 04:14:07 That's a Jose question. I'm really bad at that stuff all top of my head. This has to be the first one, right? I'm trying to think so, yeah. man can we just imagine a total robbery right now how electric the judges just give the worst scorecards in history even yeah like truly would be the worst robbery of all time all right crown them i'm sure dana white is thrilled to wrap this belt around the waist and allow it is please dana don't look any happier than shawn does right now 42 48 47 so yeah that makes sense so every
Starting point is 04:14:54 Every judge gave O'Malley the third round. And two judges gave them, or the, whatever. I think you had to give O'Malley five. Yeah, I have no issue given that. But two judges gave him three, which I think is so acceptable. But, yeah. Man. Hey, congrats, bud.
Starting point is 04:15:14 Terrific performance. Yeah. You mar robbed them. I mean. You got, won the first round and we knew that was going to be the key to this. I mean, it ended up being given the 248, 47. That first round is critical. By the way, shout out to the great Orrin Hodak.
Starting point is 04:15:29 I believe this is his first, I don't know. I think it's a second champion. Man. Aljo just got to be the happiest man of all time. Crazy, man. It's nuts. Ray Longo, just. So many champions.
Starting point is 04:15:48 Kingmaker. Yeah. That's this, what, fourth champion? Wyman, Sarah, Aljo. Yeah. Marub. Yep. That's what I do every day, twice a day.
Starting point is 04:16:07 day, Judd. Twice a day. Dares to be great. Look, sometimes when you dare to be great, it doesn't work out. For Mara, it worked out. For me, didn't. You made a real run of things there, though, down the stretch. I got a... Best Watch Party's second worst pay for you. It's not going to sing.
Starting point is 04:16:27 We love that for you. I'm very excited. We're going to have more things, too. We talked about this stuff. We're going to do some stuff. I think we're going to have a lot more opportunity to do stuff when we get to the new command. Center. Oh, yeah. But.
Starting point is 04:16:40 From construction worker to UFC champion. It's one of my worst nights picking. I think I went four and six. Yeah. It was bad evening for me and just straight picks tonight as well. It's what you get for Darren to be great. Oh, wow. Al Jermaine Sterling, the saltiest man that has ever lived.
Starting point is 04:17:10 What is it? Do you tweet it out during the fight? That's what a fair fight looks like against the best guy in the world. none of that stacking deck bullshit to get an advantage hashtag EOC306. Oh my God. Just, man, Aljo,
Starting point is 04:17:24 every time I see you on the internet, it's always bad. I've never been like, ooh, I'm pleasantly surprised by this video of Aljo saying something on a podcast or tweeting.
Starting point is 04:17:36 Well, let's see what he does against Mobs are a Blah, man. Great game plan by Brahma. What a game plan. Who would have thought that that could be the game plan? Gotta love that lay in prey with a laughing emoji.
Starting point is 04:17:46 from Billy Goss. Marcel making it. BC! The great BC. Morab found the formulas of showing. Yes. Yeah, Henry,
Starting point is 04:17:59 you should probably not fight John Maloney. You take him down a bunch. Oh, they just went to Umar. We play in the Davison game. That man's going to kill you. Interesting.
Starting point is 04:18:57 Maraup is shouting out Dana. Mara's putting Dana over. The question was, do you want to fight? Umar and Maraub's like Dana White is the best He's trying to get Dana's good graces Yeah
Starting point is 04:19:14 Because Dana was not thrilled To put that belt around That man's waist Do you I understand you need to respect everybody Do you respect time No You certainly do
Starting point is 04:19:30 What does it Hey look It's the biggest moment in his life I know I know I'm joking I do wish you would have At least answered a question I heard
Starting point is 04:19:39 What does that tell you The best I mean It tells me that he will be fighting umar next uh 100% that that that was a call from the ufc production team oh yeah that was a direct order like asking mo to umar right now it's the man i've been saying it i've been saying it for like three years umar coming and i think mara is uniquely poorly positioned but i thought mara was going to lose this one and that he was not remotely close to he had sean he had sean beat in the
Starting point is 04:20:10 first round yeah this fight was not the fourth 48-47s are, they're not alive, but they are deceptive. This fight was not close. Yeah, five was the clear O'Malley round. Three, I, I kind of scored three for O'Malley myself. Even the fifth round was only O'Malley in the last 60 seconds. The first four minutes it was not. Yes.
Starting point is 04:20:31 How do we do this thing? This is my first watch party, you know, Mike. How do we? How do we what? How do we say goodbye to the people? Goodbye people. That's it? No, no.
Starting point is 04:20:41 Yeah, so that's it, everybody. That's JFC306. This is insane. So late. At this point, we're like, oh, my God, we still have three more fighters to go to the press conference. We haven't had anybody at the press conference, because there hasn't been a freaking press conference.
Starting point is 04:20:53 So that is coming up next. You can stick on this here channel for the UFC 3S Expression Conference. And I guess we're done. Bye-bye. Love y'all. Casey's done with our crap. I did it.
Starting point is 04:21:09 Oh, that's so funny. Casey's like, let's just get the heck out of here, guys. It's two. Yes, press conference coming up. We will have the post-fight show in a little bit. We might try to go at the same exact time. But thank you all so much for Watch Party 2.0, the new evolution. And as always, chickens can't be goats.
Starting point is 04:21:29 Chickens can't be goats. But most importantly, you get those song recommendations in. You send them to AK, send them to Mike for Autnot tomorrow. We want to get a good collection because this man right here, about doing the karaoke. Okay. We got the rest of the 309 card announcement now. Natty Ice is fighting Viviani Arruzo again?
Starting point is 04:21:51 Wow. Very quick turnaround for a lot. I don't know. We're looking at some announcements. Bo, Nickel, Paul Craig previously announced. Anthony Smith, Dominic, Grace, previously announced. Wyman Andrews previously announced. Oh, they moved Anthony Smith, Dominic Reyes to MSG?
Starting point is 04:22:10 Yeah. They did? Yeah, they did that. That was a 3-10. Yeah, they did that like a week ago or something, or a couple weeks ago. I remember that happening because I have... So Natty Ice is fighting Viviani Arujo for the second time in three fights? That seems very, very weird.
Starting point is 04:22:26 She just beat her this year! And now we're doing it again? What is happening? It seems very, very weird. I'm not sure. That's got to be a mistake. Is that the thing in Karini's over? But sure that they wouldn't screw up their own graphic?
Starting point is 04:22:42 Is that said Natalia Silva? It 100% said Natalia Silva. It's Karinei Silva. You're right. You're absolutely right. How do they screw up their own graphic? Because they do it every fucking pay-per-view. I mean, to be fair, they did call Bud Crawford, Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 04:22:55 That's true. Earlier. So maybe we didn't have the full-on A-Squot doing stuff. They had a lot of other things that managed. A lot of other things manage. Press conference, I'm told press conference starting in one minute. Yeah, it is. It is.
Starting point is 04:23:07 Because I have Karine-Silva on my team. Yes, you do. So I was like, do they have have to have 90 ice in? I would have been frigging living to lose two fighters. But that doesn't matter. That's not either here nor there.
Starting point is 04:23:19 Here from Dana White. Here from the new champions. Valentina Shepchenko, I'm Rod Voschbili. And we'll see you on the post-fight show whenever we see you. So I don't probably be coming up, but we'll see you. Good night, everybody.
Starting point is 04:23:30 Love you all. Listening to the Vox Media Podcast Network.
