Starting point is 00:00:45 Welcome to the UFC 309 watch party here on MNabating.com. We are back second night in a row doing this. I am Mikeak. That is Jed Miche with a custom tea. For those who can't read, what does it say? Chickens can't be goats. That's right. And Mike, let me just tell you.
Starting point is 00:01:10 the best thing ever happened today. On my way over here, pop into the gas station, get myself a delicious Red Bull, which the favorite drink of Max for Staff and the greatest race car driver in the world, Red Bull, reach out to us. I'm happy to do ad reads for you. Stopped in to get a Red Bull.
Starting point is 00:01:27 You know, I know you're a Celsius guy. Stopped in to get mine for the evening. Walked up, paid for it. The guy behind the counter looks at me and goes, like your shirt. First time I've ever worn this shirt in public, I am one for one on compliments. this is the best.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Didn't even ask for an explanation. Didn't like your shirt. I mean, we do have a broad reach, so it's very possible that he was a fan. He didn't want to say, hey, man, love your work. Thought he might go this way. I don't know. I don't want to put words in this young man's mouth, but it was the best. I thought maybe he would bring up John Jones.
Starting point is 00:01:58 I almost put hashtag, don't be scared John at the bottom. Let's see how this decision went in the Jonathan Martinez-Marcus-Beggie fight. all three judges 2928 it's going to be McGee Marcus McGee because Jonathan Martinez with fantastic fight IQ
Starting point is 00:02:20 just unbelievable fight IQ on display tonight for what it's worth I would have scored that a draw I know people hate that but I think the third round was more effective than the other two rounds and thus worthy of it but
Starting point is 00:02:33 the only person Jonathan Martinez has to blame is himself all Jonathan had to do is kick him If he kicked him two more times, he wins the fight. We honestly should have gone live 10 minutes ago because we both just hysterically laughing and shouting, kick him, kick him! As John Martinez keeps not kicking him.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Jen's like, kick him right now. Kick him right now. And he just didn't kick him. He would not kick him. He used on one leg and would not kick him. You know, it's he didn't even like, go for the low kick to the high, he just kept punching him
Starting point is 00:03:11 and then spent like a minute and a half in a clinch for reasons known only to Jonathan Martinez. That was very Andre Sukumtah against Sean O'Malley, where it's just like, Sean O'Malley has literally cannot walk. If you kick,
Starting point is 00:03:25 if you blow air on his leg, he will fall over and you win. And then he took him down and did nothing and then lost by a decision. Fight IQ is just on display tonight. I'm believable. It's been like that all weekend. My favorite, my favorite, I think of this year, Fight IQ display was earlier tonight, Janata Denise, glory kickboxer on top position on Marcin Taibura, landing elbows, clearly winning the round and decides to drop back from top half to a straight ankle lock.
Starting point is 00:03:58 As he was doing, I was like, why? Yonte Wilder in the house. Oh, look at that man. So that's Deonté Wilder versus a little, little big Franny up. next you know all right i mean that'd be pretty banging me is that the wrong is that the wrong oh oh there he is president-elect and is that that's kid rock and elon musk with him oh awesome i mean i mean that's or the future head of whatever doge and uh i'm sure kid rock gets a cabinet position as well i don't Elon Elon is dressed like a 12-year-old like he's literally dressed like a 12
Starting point is 00:04:35 year old Elon is 12-year-old he's the most divorced man of all time. Yeah. Trump getting a standing O at MSG. Rogan's going crazy. Donald freaking Trump, giving fist pumps. You think Donald Trump's a big Marisa Ruffy fan? I think he's like, Yama's Lontop.
Starting point is 00:04:58 That's my guy. Yama's lawn top, yes. That's exactly what he's thinking right now. Biggest ovation of the night by far. I mean, that's what Dana said earlier today, the biggest Jellie roll. Pops are
Starting point is 00:05:11 a little Joe is he coming to say Oh John Anna And it gets the handshake And the shoulder tap A little hug Rogan gets the hug I mean
Starting point is 00:05:20 Joe Rogan did a lot of work for Donald And a lot of people's eyes Joe Rogan won him The presidency It's not true But I firmly disagree But I mean
Starting point is 00:05:28 Didn't hurt him at all And so you know And there's Daniel Cormié getting a little love Do you remember if this happened Did Trump come To UFC events during his presidency.
Starting point is 00:05:39 I can't remember if he actually did. Yeah. During his president. I was at UFC 244 and he went as the sitting president. I mean, yeah. Well, not quite sitting, but we're a month and some change. Yeah. But he showed up for the Diaz Mazadol flight.
Starting point is 00:05:54 That was like, that was crazy. Oh, that one. Yeah. Okay. It took us. Because I remember it took us forever to get in the building to like, increased security to set up in the media room. It was just security checks, the dogs sniffing all the bags.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And then they brought like meaner dogs to sniff the bags. And basically the secret service people were like, don't touch the dogs. Don't even like look at the dogs funny because they will kill you. Yeah. And they didn't even look that menacing. They looked like, you know, dogs that could run really fast. And if needed to protect, could. There's a, is that RFK?
Starting point is 00:06:31 That is definitely RFK. Yeah. Make America healthy again. RFK in the building. Yep. Elon is like the most out of place one of all of them. Yeah, Elon's just a huge dork. And, like, Kid Rock, I have found all of them.
Starting point is 00:06:45 I can do without Kid Rock now too, but like, Kid Rock knows his role. Yeah, he knows his role. The Elon is, the Elon stuff is deeply funny to me. Yeah. And that like already there are reports being like Trump's team thinks he's weird. Yeah. Like, he's just hanging around. He's like, yeah, I'm here, guys.
Starting point is 00:07:03 And they're like, why? Trump had that statement. He's like, Elon just. kind of like always around. Trump getting a whole promo video. This is unbelievable. This is unbelievable. No one gets this type.
Starting point is 00:07:16 John Jones hasn't gotten this type of treatment. This is outstanding. Trump's watching himself on the big screen at Madison Square Garden. This is unbelievable. You remember when a certain subset of people were like, keep politics out of my sport? Oh, baby. Those people aren't nearly as loud as they used to be.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Yeah. Holy cow. 45, 47. This, hey. Sport has gotten to this point. What a collection of human beings. RFK and Kid Rock and Donald. Go back in time.
Starting point is 00:08:00 What a time. What a time. What a time. And explain to people. All right. So one of the biggest EOC events of the year, Donald Trump will be president. and he will attend a UFC event with RFK,
Starting point is 00:08:12 a guy named Elon Musk you've never heard of, Kid Rock will be there. Just some of the walkouts. It's just the madlips of insane things happening. Like some of the walkouts that he's had, like Mario Lopez randomly walking in with him, A.C. Slater from Saved by the Bell, just all sorts.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I mean, it's a great poll if you can get a guy like that. There's a 10x health shirts in the crowd. This is, I mean, let's just be very clear. This is a full-on political propaganda piece on ESPN Plus. Sure is. Like, okay. This is the world we're in now. But look, we had to, um, we had to get some time killed before we go to the main card.
Starting point is 00:08:59 So that's true. We didn't lose a fight. So we did lose Chris Wyman versus Eric Anders, which is a bummer. It is a bummer. And I was on Chris Wydenman. I think a lot of people were, I also was, was, was, was, pondering. I didn't actually pull the trigger and I'm glad I didn't. But too bad, man. Chris Wyman and MSG just not sympathago.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Devastated too. Yeah. Which like I get it, you know. I mean, yeah, this, you know, he had been his last fight. We don't know. He didn't say it outright, but there is always the possibility that every next fight is the last one for him. Getting to do it at Madison Surr Garden, a winnable matchup. I think that would have certainly been something he, you know, would have been pretty interested in. if it would have been his last.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Maybe go out on top and now maybe they rebook it. Who knows? But they probably won't rebook it for Madd for MSG. And so then it's just not the same, you know? Yeah, it was one of it was just, it's tough, man. Like either way, it was justified that it could, not justified, but you could have made of a terrific case either way that that being his last fight made all the sense in the world. Because if he wins, you finally win an MSG, what better way to go out?
Starting point is 00:10:07 And if you lose to Eric Anders, like, no disrespect to Eric Anders, but you're not really doing much. I'll give Eric Anders a little bit of disrespect. Yeah, like, it would have been exactly perfect. You're totally right. And certainly with the win, the issue being if you win, then fighters usually don't want to retire on a win. But hopefully he'll get him back out there. Maybe he just comes, maybe he has two more fights now. You know, he fights, I don't even know what the schedule early 2025 is that he could slot into.
Starting point is 00:10:37 I mean, I guess, hell, he could go. He could go to 310, I guess, if they find somebody that they want to bump into. Yeah, it's not. He'd go to Tampa, like, still some couple of cards left in the year you could slot into, but, you know, do one of the early 20-25s and then just hang around, wait your time, come back to MSG next November and keep Eric Ganger's on ice. He'll wait, though, you know, he'll still be around. So keep the match-up. Yeah. We got the Metallica promo goal.
Starting point is 00:11:07 going on, the, uh, from whom the bell tolls. It's great Ron Perlman doing the narration for John Jones and Steep A Meachich. I'm a huge Luke Thomas, an uncrowned crew fan. And I hate, I have to choose which watch party to watch, but I also choose MMA fighting. You guys are the best and I appreciate the comment. Hey, uh, M. Well, MMahue, Luke Thomas doesn't go live until like pretty late usually for these watch parties.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Um, and I mean, I will not say anything bad. about the uncrowned people. So watch us all, watch whoever you choose. You know, it's good to have options. Have everybody on. Options are a wonderful thing. I love choice personally. I can assure you, I mean, I'm sure I'm crowned put on a great watch party.
Starting point is 00:11:51 They did not have a mystery round last night. They did not have a mystery round. I don't know if that's a bonus for us, but yes. Yes. We all had a mystery round. But no one had more. fun no one had more fun with the mystery round than we did round than we did round two of katy taylor nobody knows what happened could have been anything could have been a boat i finally watched round two
Starting point is 00:12:18 today i sure did i haven't gone back and watched it it was just it was one of another round round i was like okay i don't know i don't know who won almost the first round i know amanda sarah won yes and i don't know the rest of the rounds the other ones the what and then there was the one row where katy lost the point and that was a nine nine round in my eyes and then all the rest of the rounds. Oh, yeah. We were just like, okay, I don't know. Because Amanda was landing more, but Katie was landing hard.
Starting point is 00:12:44 She landed harder shots. I shout out to Amanda Serrano. It's largely taken this defeat, which many people could be much saltier about. And she is, I think, walked the line really well of getting the comments out there, right? Like, you know, Katie Taylor doesn't hit that hard. Her best weapon was her head without sounding too salty. about it, like a very, very fine line to walk in defeat of kind of garbage that I lost, but also I got a lot of respect for Katie. We're friends outside the ring. And I just frankly,
Starting point is 00:13:18 really hope they run it back because I fight rocked. I will say this. This fight is really dumb. I'm getting more interested in the fight just because it's the two guys. I'm taking the championship out of the conversation. It doesn't matter. There should be no belt on line. John Jones should not be the heavyweight championship. The heavyweight champion is deep. The interim championship that John Jolans currently wears. I am very intrigued in the fight. It is a real dumb fight when you have an interim champion who has been the interim champion for a year
Starting point is 00:13:47 and is going to be sitting in the crowd. It has more title of events than the current champion. So this whole thing is really weird and silly, but the packaging for the cold open was friggin awesome. Like that was really good. using Metallica from Humboldtals, the production of it, just showing like all the New York icons
Starting point is 00:14:10 the way they shot everything. Pearlman knocked it out of the park. But yeah. And if Steepa wins tonight, it will truly be the greatest moment that has ever been captured on this website's channel. I'm going streaking around your neighborhood
Starting point is 00:14:27 if that happens. Like I am, I'm trying to be positive because, you know, in general, people don't come to watch parties. for negativity. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:37 And mostly I'm actually okay with this. Like, I have gotten more on board with this. And I was never as negative as I was about the possibility of last night, right? But I have just had to get into the frame where mostly I just want Steepay to win because it would be unbelievably funny. But outside of it. And frankly, credit to John. John this week has helped me get to a spot where I don't care about it. anymore.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Like, I am no longer even upset about it because it is so transparent what he has done here that I can't even be mad. I'm like, okay, technically this is a real belt, but it is very objective. Like, by most reasonable standards, John is holding a fake title right now. And when I started to view it like that way, it's okay. Like, if he doesn't hold the belt, if he's just, then this is a vanity. And that's fine. Like, I root for those all the time.
Starting point is 00:15:29 We talk all the time about wanting the legends to get the legend tour status. The difference here is John holds the reality. belt but I don't he doesn't at this point like he's not so like we learn these belts are silly he outright said that hitting zero gone didn't matter yeah like okay well cool and he's and he said basically most of the time most of the build is like yeah steep is a great like basically like a great comeback fight after an injury that that that was that was my favorite quote until he outright said the steep it wouldn't matter he was just like yeah really like i'm injured i don't really know how good I am anymore. It's really nice to fight Steve.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yeah. Pretty sick that I get to beat this old dude. It's like, all right, man. At least we know the score. And I objectively feel better about here's, I talked about this on the pre-fight show. I think Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, although that event just absolutely massacred this in terms of interest this week. 16 million homes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Michael. A lot of people are saying. A lot of people are saying 60 million viewers. It's way more than that. Homes, boys and girls. Like we could be looking at 150 million. It is at least nine figures. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 At least nine figures of people. And frankly, like, it was the only thing. I know Casey mentioned this in Slack earlier with us. I certainly my experience on the day out and around the town. I had lunch with some friends. Everybody was talking about it. it was the there have been truly one other time in my life, I think, that combat sport, maybe two other times. Pacquiao Mayweather was also sort of broadly cultural in that way as well, but where the entire world was focused on a fight and was one of the best fight in the world, but it, I mean, it big, big freaking event.
Starting point is 00:17:26 And then Mayweather McGregor. Mayweather McGregor is the, yeah. So like those three are the ones you felt like the, particularly in America. Obviously, that's where we live. I can't speak for how people reacted in Canada or Europe or Australia or Asia. But in America, this, it is very rare that fights ever get to the level of attention that that got to at this point in time. And so it was, I mean, it was wild. You know, when my parents had breakfast from my parents, they were like, so that fight, whatever.
Starting point is 00:17:55 herb on, you know. And then all the people with the takes, the takes are wonderful today, Mike. I had a wonderful time of people. People I trust and respect and support being like, Jake should have tried to kill the old man. Yeah, that was bad. I understand, like, I understand people saying it was boring. I get it. It was, it was boring.
Starting point is 00:18:16 It was absolutely boring. But it was still tense. Like, even people I was talking to at the gym, like, it was a really boring fight. I'm like, but tell me you weren't like on the edge of your seat through most of it. But not even just because you thought like a big moment was going to happen and you were excited for it, but that a big moment was going to happen, you were going to dread it. And that's kind of where I was the whole time. Mike Tyson coming out in round three trying to look like he was going to take Jake's head off. We're like, no, no, no, don't do that. Please don't do that. Stop, stop, stop, stop doing that.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Please stop doing that because Jake's going to have to defend himself. And then the rest of it was just what we had all hoped it was. But the good news for this event was because of how awful that fight was. The amount of people who have not mentioned John Jones or this fight at all have texted me and said, should I get the UFC fight tonight? Or is this going to be another, the quote I got from my older brother? Or is it going to be another geezer fest like last night? I was like, buy it.
Starting point is 00:19:17 I was like Jones I was like bye Jones and Stepe is not going to be that they're probably going to be four finishes on the thing I was like these dudes are going to finish I was like the co-main event is going to be not
Starting point is 00:19:28 it probably won't be as good as Taylor Serrano too but it'll be damn good it'll be really really good you're going to get Bo Nicol and Paul Craig that fights not getting out of the first round more than likely Marisha Roof is going to kill man
Starting point is 00:19:41 and then you'll get like a high level like competitive fight in the flyweight division that has stakes and it has significance to the division. You know, and everybody needs a particularly casual fan. They need a smoke break. They need time to reset, which that can be. It's the popcorn fight.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Yeah, it's fine. They're just popcorn, whatever. Not for me, though, because I need Corrida Silva to do things today. I totally get that. Yeah, like, I do think we're going to have fun today. I think this is going to be a pretty fun pay-per-view to watch. If John wins, I'll still have fun. I have a substantial amount of money tied into John as well.
Starting point is 00:20:19 So it's okay. And I'm totally fine with losing that money, frankly, if Steve it pulls off the upset, it will be so electric to be present for this, should that happen. Like you said, everything else is going to be cool. And I also got a little bit of that, of people being like this getting, I don't think I factor that in that 309 was going to get some drafting off of the Jake Paul thing. Because I definitely had people being like, isn't there also a UFC tonight? Like, isn't John Jones fighting tonight? Because people know who John Jones is broadly as well. So this might end up working extremely well for both Jake Paul and the UFC.
Starting point is 00:20:56 And this won't be their biggest pay-per-view ever. But I think they're going to do a good number of buys. And we'll see what the outcome is. So we're never going to know the answer to this because someone asked me earlier on the pre-fight show, over under 500,000 buys. I think it'll be over. John is pretty reliable. over that number not by like a ton
Starting point is 00:21:17 but his floor is about 500,000 and with Steepay I would take the I'd say like 750 probably feels about right Like they got Donald Trump and right for the pay-per-view So that's extra juice
Starting point is 00:21:31 Yep I will say Mike There's something we need to talk about As we're killing time Waiting for this paper view to start Did you see John today John putting out Putting out some more information today
Starting point is 00:21:45 Forget who he was talking to, so absolutely apologies. I just saw the clip on Twitter. John saying the only way he will fight Tom Aspinall is if the U.C. pays him a bunch of money, which we've said and we've known forever, but that is now a door open that he had closed firmly earlier this week of I'm not fighting him, it doesn't mean anything. The U.C. needs to, I believe the quote, was,
Starting point is 00:22:08 make it worth my while. So there's a little crack appearing, little crack appearing for John to not be a big old chicken I yeah it's uh maybe that helps
Starting point is 00:22:26 maybe again if John John wins and calls out Tom and says like all right let's do it this would was it would be electric A plus genius shit I'll have a bad couple of days online and that'll be okay RFK has the leatheriest skin
Starting point is 00:22:42 of all time I know that he wants to America healthy again, but there's Donald Trump. A man looks like an old Shea lounger. It's so funny. The collection of Trump, Kid Rock, and like Elon Musk and like Elon sitting right next to Donald. It just looks very uncomfortable with that.
Starting point is 00:23:00 It's a lot of time. Yes. It's a Mauritio Roofie time, folks. It's Maritio Roofie time. These people. This is such a weird fight in general. I mean, fighting nerds have in the moment.
Starting point is 00:23:13 So that's cool. everything, but it is incredibly funny to me that this is the first fight that that that group of weirdos watch. I mean, it's fitting. It's fitting with what has happened over the last several weeks that this is a fight, but Maricio Ruffy is exciting as hell. I bet that cadre of people is a big fan of Yamas Lontop. He has a machine gun tattooed under his eye.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Oh, yeah. And so they're big supporters of Yomis Lontop. So we had a bunch of finishes so far. O'Barrant Elliott with a nasty knockout. That was a fight. Those three knockouts, Mike. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I won just one. That was also a fight that we always say like that in there, Mike. I don't have that popped up. Or is Casey pulling those. Yeah. He'll pull it. He'll probably pull it up because he's the best producer in the damn world. There we go.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Martinez and Basil annoyed me today by not fighting. Yeah. So we have like the little box of us in black and white while we have the five minute countdown going off. It would have been incredible theater of us just yell because we both had bets on Jonathan Martinez. And we're just watching Marcus Beguigig get kicked in the leg and literally not being able to just play. Just limping around. And then Jonathan Martinez just clenches him up against the fence.
Starting point is 00:24:28 We're just like kick him, dude. Just throw one kick. Please. And he didn't. No kicks. Not a kick to be found. It was just a very weird performance from Jonathan Martinez. And Basel didn't do much.
Starting point is 00:24:39 And then he got brutally knocked out three times. Three times. in like a three minute, three seconds span, just boom, wake up, boom, wake up, boom. The Welsh gangster, or as I call him, the Welch gangster. The grape jelly, loving Obon, Elliot. He's got the juice. What a year he's having, three and oh, all on paper views. And now he's got a big knockout.
Starting point is 00:25:01 So he's probably going to get 50 Gs tonight. He probably should get 150 Gs for all the knockouts that he had. How about Rames brahimage, first ever knockout is a professional. National fighter. Yes. First knockout since his first amateur fight. And he obliterated Mickey Gall. So that was impressive.
Starting point is 00:25:21 He did it. Grew up in the Bronx. So to be able to get his first knockout in Madison Square Garden, not far away from where he grew up, pretty damn cool moment. Jim F. and Miller. Cash is a big dog ticket against Damon Jackson. Gets the old Gilly gets it done. The gilly goose gang gets another one.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Got the shout out from Dustin Poree. Got the shout-up from DP, and then Damon Jackson just left his gloves in the ring, walked out, and even John Anick said, hey, we offered him an interview, and he'd politely declined. So that classic Damon Jackson, that does not surprise me one bit. That's just everything Damon Jackson has always been. Shout out my birthday brethren. Yeah. Born the same day. Fun career for Damon.
Starting point is 00:26:07 What a day that was for America. And he gets his last fight at Madison Square Garden against an absolutely. legend and Jim Miller. So there you go. What else happened? Edward Amora picks up a doubt. Nice win. You've been very high on her.
Starting point is 00:26:21 I think she's a little old to kind of make a real run. I do think she obviously should have been competing at Flyweight this entire time. I've loved her chances in that fight. I know people are big on Veronica Hardy and she's been on a good run, but Mara looked good. I think she's talented. Can get like a top, can be. become a top 15 fighter. Not going to fight for a belt, but I think I really liked her coming off
Starting point is 00:26:46 Contender series last year as a little old, you know, to be a prospect, but with a pretty refined game, pretty good skill set. And I think that's all that happened. I was traveling for part of it. So I missed. Please put up the picture frame again so we can see the reflection of the paper. Part of the redesign for what for Command Center 4.0 with the shelving is that we, we don't do that.
Starting point is 00:27:08 What if I just hold up my phone? I might put that. I'm going to put sunglasses on for the main events. You might get a lot. Well, the black screen of the phone? Nope, it doesn't because my phone just turned itself all when I did. He tried to zoom into what a pro. I got the light on so bright that it wouldn't be able to reflect that he was.
Starting point is 00:27:24 It's tough. It is a bright light. It's scorching. The sun is bearing down right upon us. Yes, you can't even see the, you can't even see the late great Reggie Lewis back there. He's just blinded by the light. Here comes Mauritio Ruffi, just taking it all in here. What a year fighting nerds has had?
Starting point is 00:27:46 Unbelievable. Probably team of the year in MMA. I don't even think that's up for debate. Yeah, especially if he wins this one. I mean, they've got four and O'Colos, Prattis, three and O'O Jean-Silva. Two and O'N O'O this year, Kyle Barago, plus now breaking into the top five. Was Ruffie won one already this year? Also, Mike, I mean, arguably the most important part of this, they're trying to take away a clear catch from my Georgia Bull.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Bulldogs to the one-yard line. Priorities. Look, this game... Bulldogs can't be goats either. They really can't. We are bad this year. But if we win this game, we're basically guaranteed to make the playoff. If we lose this game, statistically, we still have a chance.
Starting point is 00:28:31 I think we're out if we lose this game. And it's tied 17-17. So it's a stressful evening for you, boy. No bets for either of us on this fight. No, no bet. Well, the line was just so big. Yeah, there was even like a prop that I liked. Even getting to the prop for like, uh, Ruffy inside the distance,
Starting point is 00:28:48 like they just weren't reasonable things. I briefly thought about, uh, putting this as a piece of the climb, but I get there's an obvious climb choice this week. So we just did that instead. Mr. Nickel. Oh, no, no, no. Mr.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Nichols too big for the climb. Oh, that's right. Jonathan Jones is. Oh, okay. Um, did you, you got John in that range? This is the minus 600, I think. Okay. So, so.
Starting point is 00:29:13 It's a little over, but close enough. Yeah, I say it away from this one as well. Watching UFC on TV, watching watch party on phone. Let's go. What's that? Let's go. For him. And you bought me a coffee.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Look at Chuck Ladell back there hanging out. I mean. Go sit with Trump. Fit right in. Let's go. The Mohawk. Chuck looking good. I, what I respect the most about Chuck Lidale is he found the thing and he's just
Starting point is 00:29:40 living with it. The Mohawk, he. He's 60, whatever. How old Chuck is right now? He's got to be in this 50s. He's got to be like 56, right? And still just rocking the Mohawk looks great. Kyle Baha'alio clapping.
Starting point is 00:29:58 And Ruffie is in the cage and he's moving around. That's the first down Georgia Bulldogs right there. That's what that is. So Casey has asked for some details. We are going to the tail of the tape right now. Now, tail of tape, Mauritio Ruffy, 165. This is a catchweight boat because Lomtop took this one on short notice. And still miss weight.
Starting point is 00:30:24 And still miss weight by a pound and 1.2 pounds. It's not a 0.2 because they'd give them the extra pounds. Even in a catch rate? Even in a catch rate, they'll still give them the extra pound. Okay. Well, he missed by 0.2. Which is tough. I mean, tough scenes.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Damn digital scale. Take a couple spits, you know. Yeah. Buffer, look at that jacket. What is that jacket? is a little camo action like what's I don't know what's going on here
Starting point is 00:30:47 looks like some birds back to the buff man come on do you think buffered keeps all of his tux jackets or does he like at the end of the event give them to charity
Starting point is 00:30:58 I don't know I've never seen him on back I do I do love the Amazon top has an FFC tattoo across the stiro it's like the most MMA thing in the world
Starting point is 00:31:10 just got a frigging automatic weapon tattooed under his right thing on his left eye and an FFC tattoo. And then a lion. Like, these are just incredibly MMA tattoos. Unbelievable. Plus 600 dog.
Starting point is 00:31:32 He's trying to get the buffer fist bumpeting most. That's not good sign. That's bad vibes. Bad vibes. This is not going to go well. First round is already 10-9 Ruffy. Yeah, he lost a point for that one. Point deduction.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yep. There's Ruff. And people just like them. They just like it. They don't even know most of, yeah. Fighting nerds are just so over right now. They're all fun as hell. People get it.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Why is this guy that I don't know on the main card? Well, there's a reason. Oh, Carson, let's go, baby. Carson, let's go, baby. Go, freaking dogs. Woo! Touchdown, Georgia. No!
Starting point is 00:32:14 Flag on the play. No, it's definitely offensive holding, too. I see. It's a hundred percent. offensive holding. Pick the flag up. Pick it up. Don't. Holding. Oh, it's on the defense. Woo! Touchdown! Go dogs! What an emotional rollercoaster. What an emotional rollercoaster. All right. Here we go. And now the fist
Starting point is 00:32:33 fight's starting. Is that Kevin McDonald's? It's a big moment. I think it is. Sure is. All right. Here we go. We are underway. 57, 56, 55, 54. So we're like, we're just about there. On top, I don't want to be judgmental because look at me. Looks a little soft. Yes, Ruffy not. A little soft. And we are lined up beautifully, Casey. You are the best in the world. I'm just saying as a man who's just done this maneuver once or twice, it looks like he might be going a little high with the shorts, just help himself around the
Starting point is 00:33:12 belly band there. Look, I've done it. I'm not judging. Short notice. Short notice. Just saying, we've all been there not a strike has been thrown yet but uh testing i'm i'm on the edge of my sea right now oh both the guys landed there a couple of a little action roughly really with that like leaning back but in your face karate stance it's uh it's very jack johnsony very very old school pugilism yeah put him up put him up on top with a little bit of a jab to the chest area He's just kind of got to go get go after her right now. He's just got to get her get got. Bradley Love, you get the hell out of my chat with that Govall's garbage.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Oh. Get the hell out of my chat. Scoreboard, bro. A couple leg kicks. Just waiting for something to happen. It's coming. Both men are taking their, they're not throwing a lot, test in the water. I am surprised on top is not more aggressive right now.
Starting point is 00:34:17 He's got to pace himself, you know, potentially 15 full minutes. We're right on the Monster energy can right now. We have all the energy drinks covered on this table. And then we got Monster in the cage. Oh, Ruffy just swung so hard. Monster, in my opinion, is among the worst of the energy beverages. I like the Zero Sugar, the White One. Oh, I've definitely done the white one.
Starting point is 00:34:43 White one is good. That's the only one I like, though. I think rain is the worst of the energy drinks at that. I can't stand those. Monster and Rockstar are both pretty bad. Yeah, Prime is, Prime is like, Prime should be illegal. It's like, Prime's fine. You want to run through a wall.
Starting point is 00:35:03 That stuff gets you. I'm fine. The Celsius have enjoyed. I've become a Red Bull man for a long time. I was a Noss guy. I think Celsius tastes the best for sure. I think that that is true. A little left hand from Ruffy.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Lans Lontop is throwing real hard and not. Oh, trying to get to the bottom. the body. Let's see what Ruffy can do. Try to get a little respect to. I think he's feeling a little pressure here, fighting an MSG, opening up a main card. In front of the almost president.
Starting point is 00:35:30 In front of the almost president. In front of the former president. In front of kid Brock. In front of Elon Musk. RFK Jr. I mean, there's the bus with the boys. Oh, okay. Are you on top?
Starting point is 00:35:42 Let's come going. Lontop is not feeling the pressure. Oh, he just got jabber right in the face, though. Man came to scrap. I mean, he looks like he will just get in there. He's the Ramos to Ruffie's Barrios in this one. That's very true. I am not, you know, not a doctor or anything.
Starting point is 00:36:03 I would say that I would never seek a goal with the man with an oozy tattooed on his face. Yeah. Man, probably is willing to fist fight. He will do it. Just call it a hunch. I don't know. Just under 90 seconds left here in round one. You don't usually see.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Oh. Oh, Rovey just missed with the big cutter left. You don't usually see that tattoo on like a banker. No. No. Oh, my accountant with the Uzi tattoo on his face. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Yes, yes. H&R block. Thank you. Would you like to use this as a write-off? Is Lontop winning this round? I think he is. They're both starting to get more active is nice because there was a lot of a feeling out.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Because Lontop is like landing things. A little more. Ruffie's a little too patient. right now. 45 seconds left here in the round. Oh, good right hand from Ruffy. Very good right hand from Ruffy. Oh, and a big left.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Good left. Okay. We're starting to, oh. Oh, he's hurt. Oh, he's hurt. Oh, he's hurt. What are you doing? A 360 tornado kick.
Starting point is 00:37:17 360 tornado kick to the body. You're such an unbelievable. Oh. Do you see all the little. saucy little backup elbow. Ruffy feeling himself. Ruffy, Ruffie hurt him.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Not like genuinely hurt him. Now spinning back kick to the thigh. That was unbelievable. I cannot wait to see the replay. That was the best. That was like, if I attempted to throw that kick, it would look exactly the same.
Starting point is 00:37:44 It's very similar. Also, the man is hurt. Like, Lontop is hurt there. That was. That was incredible. Ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Huge fan of that. Oh, it made no sense. He could have literally done anything else. That was the anti-Bichel Pereira. 10-9 Ruffie. Very much so. 10-9 Ruffy. Yeah, I got it right bigger.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Oh, that light is really. There we go. Oh, oh, yeah. We might have to actually just tell you. 10-9 Ruffy. Can I go to the side? Oh, that's a little better. That's a little more visible right there.
Starting point is 00:38:22 That's a little more visible right there. Absolutely electric. Yeah. There's the big, please show the follow. I mean, that was a clean right hand. Bam.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Oh, yeah. Right on the, right on the Ousey. Right on the Uzi. Right. We didn't, ah,
Starting point is 00:38:39 they didn't show the replay of the fall-up spinning wheelie kick that looked so bad. It all, like, knocked himself over. So great. All right.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Round two. Mikey Musimichie. That spin kick would have been deadly if it wasn't for physics. Damn physics, just ruining all the fun we could be having. Shout out uncanny suit. Oh, that was that was unreal. Dude, Ruffy is so silly.
Starting point is 00:39:09 He's the silliest boy. He just went for like a Taekwondo foot sweep. That was like, I don't even know what's... That was like a Nintendo street fighter mover. I'm like, oh, what is the B button? Oh, yeah, who was the street fighter character? you could just do the like spinning thing. And you can loop them once you got him going,
Starting point is 00:39:27 you just keep bouncing them. Anytime the guy would go near, you just kick him in the toes. And you just get the damage bar. Then he's just stuck in the loop of you juggling him with foot sweeps. It was so cheap. Such a cheap. Oh,
Starting point is 00:39:39 okay. Roughy is really having fun. A standing hammer fist from Lontop. This fight is the second one. Longtop threw one of those last rounds as well. Lontop just moving forward. Oh, on top. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Throw him big kick. Ruffy just waiting for the move. Dean Thomas saying, you know, Ruffy may be feeling a little bit pressure here. Probably. I feel like if you're being this ridiculous, you're either feeling no pressure at all or a lot of pressure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Because then you're just pressing. On top with good shots. Good connection with our Rofi. Oh, big uppercut. Oh, don't go. Oh, don't go. Oh, don't know. Son of a post.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Hatter fist. Punch him. Oh, he's got to kick him in the head. Lontops done. Lontop don't want no part of this action. Oh, he's getting that. Look at him go. Lontop says, uh-uh, Jen.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Uh-uh. And now he's holding Ruffy up against the fence. Wow. This is how you suck some time back. That upper cut was me. Yeah. That was a short one too. So sneaky.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Just a little poppy dropped him. Oh, uh, oh, let's see. Oh, big welts under Lontops left on the Oosie. Right on the Uzi. Oon-OZ. Oh, big right here for Bruffi. You think he's regretting the Uzi tattoo? It presents a very clean target.
Starting point is 00:41:04 That's a broken orbital, dude. It sure looks like that. Lontop just keeps fighting. Don't care. Just a target right on his face. Would you like to break more orbital? Here's a piece of tattoo you should aim at. Oh, they just showed the replay of the uppercut.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Nasty. Ruffy is getting after it. And he's dead. That eye is so bad. This is New York, too. There is a very real. Oh, he was trying to decapitate him. Holy that was a punch.
Starting point is 00:41:33 If that had landed, his head might have gone three rows back. Good jab from Ruffie. I can't believe this might go to round three. 2.11 left. Oh, man, Lontop showing. Also, GoDogs just so are clear. Fourth down stop. Lontop's still pushing forward.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I do. He's a, he's game. Game is hell. It's got a broken eye socket probably. It's really seem. Ruffy does even, oh. Ruffy is occasionally just deciding one of these is going to be a ston kill shot. And they haven't landed yet, but.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Oh, that's a stunk kill shot. How is Lontop still standing? I don't think he's going to be for much longer. That one caught him right on the ear. This one's about the, we're very, we're one big punch away. Hontob is a tough S-O-B, man. Oh, another right hand.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Lontop's. eye is so messed up his left eye is done and he's clearly like fatiguing to like his punches are much slower and more labored yeah ruffie's just kind of style is gonna be able to find a real brutal shot here this is one of those where if i'm in his corner i let him make it to the end of the round and i would stop this fight yeah in between he's still throwing elbows because he's he's fighting but like he is i mean that is for sure broken you can't even see his tattoo anymore truly you can't because it's all the whole face is purple that's it's all right Oh, good jab there from Ruffy.
Starting point is 00:43:01 And I mean, that's swelling up real bad. The doctor may stop it anyway just because of the swelling. But his corner should not allow that, particularly like, you know, you take it, you stepped in on short notice. No. No. You got paid. You did. You did the thing.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Lontop's still throwing. Oh, he's going to get a leg. No. Sorry, dude. Oh, boy. Go, doctor. Oh, okay. Lontop.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Let's go. baby get back into this oh right he ruby just hit him right in that eye again leg kick from ruffy oh oh ruffy getting a little tired in there yeah ruffie just put the hands on the hips he sure did he's like what do i have to do to hurt this man how do i get this guy out of here because credit to lontop he is staying at him right now all right and lontop stares him down at the end uh yeah 10-9 ruffy for sure for me kaboom kabooboobo 10-9 roughy as well I mean realistically
Starting point is 00:44:05 that actually should probably be a 10-8 there's the uppercut people get real hot it was like a no look uppercut that was very odd yeah because he is not looking when he makes that right hand I wonder they're gonna stop it
Starting point is 00:44:20 let's see do we have a doctor in there yet the corner should the corner should like there's no way he can see out of that eye they should but they won't like that eye is busted it's clearly broken
Starting point is 00:44:32 he's gonna take more damage like protect your fighter there's no shame in this doesn't sound like they're stopping it I would have bet a whole lot of money that the corner won't stop it oh yeah they won't they did a good job of the eye man
Starting point is 00:44:50 did a terrific work with the end swell got that got that down yeah it's not maybe it's not as bad as I thought it looks real rough okay also the on Ruffy's Ruffy tattoo right here year, the font looks extremely close to Buffy, the vampire slayer.
Starting point is 00:45:11 That's true. And the R, and it is distracting me every time. I don't know if this is intentional, but I'm thinking about it. Round three. What was Ruffy by decision in this fight? Oh, I have truly no idea. It's probably like plus 600. A very, I mean, he was like a minus 1,400 at various points this week.
Starting point is 00:45:28 He was a monstrous favorite. He got down like 1,100 earlier tonight. Nichols was the biggest favorite. Where's the world saying? Nickel and Onama were the two biggest favorites and Ruffy was right behind them. Oh, yeah, on top. Ruffy might be getting a little tired.
Starting point is 00:45:51 He is definitely slowed down a little bit. The hands on the hips is always a sign. Yeah. Like, okay, man. Because, you know, that's the old thing like football practice. Don't put your hands on your hips. Don't put your hands on your head. Just let them be, breathe.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Yep. Which is garbage because you do feel better with that. Especially the hands are on the head. They always say, like, don't put your hands on your knees. Put your hands on your head. Yeah, but there's actually a study that hands on the knees does in fact is better. I heard I saw that.
Starting point is 00:46:19 And it's just like, ah, so every football coach ever is like. Yes, every single athletic coach. Yeah. No, no,
Starting point is 00:46:24 don't do that. Dude. On top. How about this? Dude's just. Dude's a dog. Oh, Ruffy's swinging a miss.
Starting point is 00:46:33 I mean, Ruffy is getting backed up a lot now. Yeah, this is, oh, because you can't kill him. Can't kill him. Dude,
Starting point is 00:46:39 not not being able to die is incredibly impressive skill. Yep. It's helped Max Holloway terrifically throughout his career Max Holloway's career is built on being awesome and unkillable. But like Montaub's here in a spot now. I mean,
Starting point is 00:46:56 he needs a finish, but if he can just keep the pedal down, if Ruffy really is getting tired and breaking. Just keep this clinch on for like another 30 seconds. Oh, good knee, good elbow out of that punch too. Oh, Ruffy. I mean, Ruffy still hits hard and he's like, he's got a lot of.
Starting point is 00:47:19 reach but he's not throwing a bunch now he's really just trying to find one big calendar he's like all right through him now he's like all right you can't hurt me anymore you know we're not seeing anymore the fun foot sweeps and the spinning stuff yeah ruffie's now just looking for hooks oh yon top's too close to him to throw the foot sweep yon top needs to be on the other side of the cage you're never too close just just start spinning and see what happens spin and win baby i like the leg kicks from yon top oh good left hand and from you on top as well. We try to front kick up the middle.
Starting point is 00:47:53 He's scrapping it. Oh, sneaky laugh for Ruffy. Well, good right hand from Ruffy. When Ruffy lands, it is much more impactful. Oh,
Starting point is 00:48:01 yeah. Maybe get a second wind here, final two minutes, just put a stamp on this thing. I can't believe this going to the cards. Dude, credit to on top. A dude is tougher than a $2 steak.
Starting point is 00:48:15 They had the new gloves. Could have had a knockout. I mean, you know. That's been like the funniest story line. week. I really liked it happening after Mickey Gall. It got knocked down.
Starting point is 00:48:27 They liked the new gloves. Look what they do. It's like, guys, it's Mickey y'all. Come on. And I love how it's like, hey,
Starting point is 00:48:33 just for pay-per-views, we're going to use the old gloves. But for the fight nights, it's the new gloves. To me that, hell is that? To me, that reeks of,
Starting point is 00:48:40 we ordered a bunch of them and we got to use them. Yeah. Might as well burn through this inventory. We have to make it seem that I mean, this isn't a John, a direct John Jones. thing. So we'll just, uh,
Starting point is 00:48:55 we'll use them for 310. It probably isn't a direct John Jones thing, but it's objectively funny. Oh, yeah. It is a deeply funny coincidence. But it certainly is a John Jones thing. It certainly seems that way, but it's okay.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Dude, credit to on top. He is going to win this round after getting Molly Wob for the first 10 minutes. Yeah, round two getting dropped and nearly finished. Oh. Wow. That was a good little combination. A big combo.
Starting point is 00:49:21 You know, stepping in on short notice. This is a very respectful. He's getting, I think that's more Ruffy being weird. Ruffy tried the little step back up elbow. Just ran out of, ran out of him. Just closed the distance on him. Ruffy is really not throwing anything now. He's got Ruffie back up 30 minutes, 30 seconds. Yon Tops is starting to really land and, you know, he tries to go for a take down.
Starting point is 00:49:49 You just got to put the hammer down. Lonnie. Let's go. Lonnie. 20 seconds. Ruffy. Oh, big left hand for you. That was a full come in.
Starting point is 00:50:01 I'm going to sit down and unload everything I have into this left hook. Lontov just eats it. Oh, good shot to the body from Ruffy. Oh, Lovna from Lerfie. Ruffy heard the final 10 second bell and he knows he can throw everything he's got. Good scrap. Joseph Bosa, you do not have that. Don't you tell why Lontai?
Starting point is 00:50:23 He says it 29, 28 lawn top. You don't. No one does. That can't be real. That's a troll drop. That would be. And I, we love you, Joe. That might be the worst score card I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Joseph Boza. You're in these streets all the time. We love you. But no. Ruffie won the first round. He probably, he should get a 10-8 in round two more than likely because he almost won, he almost finished him. And that fight was not, that round was not competitive.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Realistically, that round should have been a 10-8. but I've already scored it 10-9. 10-9 lawn top for me in round three. Good fight. You know, solid. Casey. There we go. Throw it up.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Look at Donald Trump. 10-9 Lonnie, Ruffy talking. They have a Trump cam, by the way. If you're not watching this slide, they have a Donald Trump cam. You know, why wouldn't you? Bam, there's the right hand.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Oh, that was broke his face. Please show. Please show the follow-up shot. Yeah, got a couple of other people in the content. They really think long top one, really? Tie out here saying honestly, I think long top one. Really? I mean, I guess y'all are really thinking he won the first round.
Starting point is 00:51:32 And it was, he was winning the first round. But the end to me very clearly. But Ruffy landed like the way better shots. Very clearly by the end of the first round, Ruffy took that over in my head. But it was anybody's round until like two minutes left in the round. And then Ruffy just landed big shots. He heard him. Like he heard him in the round.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Yeah. That moment alone wins him the round. Actually, definitionally, it does. Per the scoring criteria, that does. Significant head strikes, 48 to 32. Lonsup had the body strikes. Like kicks were good, but the knockdown in round two, near knockdown in round one. I thought Lontop clearly won the third.
Starting point is 00:52:12 Yeah. But he took some big shots in the third, too. Also, I mean, I know that this isn't technically true. Just look at the two of them. Are these guys, like, still mad at each other? Look at the two of them. One of these people you would rather be. And it's not the guy with the broken face.
Starting point is 00:52:27 All right. Let's see. Buffer. All three. 29, 28 for the winner. Mercia Ruffy. UD. 2928.
Starting point is 00:52:47 But hey, man, credit to Lontop. Terrific performance on short notice. He loses nothing here. I mean, doesn't get the win bonus. They should probably give it to him anyways. Yeah, he wouldn't get a, and he's not going to get a bonus. You can't get a bonus either.
Starting point is 00:52:58 But solid little scrap. performance yeah dude stepped up as a plus 600 dog and just got his ass beat and missed weight by like 15 pounds or whatever but you know point two well like but the fight moved its weight class on fight week yeah that's true so it was uh yeah i can't actually make lightweight but hey man it was fun scrap decent decent main card opener that was fun killing now we get uh there you go that's how you go dogs look at the blood
Starting point is 00:53:32 just flying off his face I mean that was that was a great disgusting that was gross I love the fighting nerd gimmick is exceptional
Starting point is 00:53:43 and more gyms need to understand you got to get a gimmick the gimmick the gimmicks are the best the glasses everybody who has a fun hat that's always cool some sort of accessory item is sick this is an anti-suicide message
Starting point is 00:54:08 about Jesus? Is that what this is? It seems like it. What a freaking dark from the Tennessee quarterback. Fabiano, man, is the best translator in the biz.
Starting point is 00:54:19 He's terrific. Eduardo, Mora went on like a seven-minute speech, and Joe Rogan literally went to, look to Fabiana, he goes, do you remember all that? And then he was like,
Starting point is 00:54:29 oh, yeah, and he just ran it off. Even all the listens. Listen, listen. I love that he just sort of fell into it. Like, that sort of impromptu interview with Ariel that one time was just like electric. He's like, hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:45 I've met him and hung out with him a couple of times. He is the nicest freaking guy. He seems like a great dude. He is such a nice guy. They're not that many people in this sport who like nobody has a bad thing to say about. Feels like he's one of them. He's up there. He's up there.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Jim Miller. He's the Max Holloway of translators. He's the Max Holloway of translators. Oh. Ooh, a little callout of Benoit Sandini. Oh, I love that callout. That is a great callout. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if you get it just because, I mean.
Starting point is 00:55:21 He could? Santonis goes two in a row. It is. It coming from, you know, Yamis Lontov to Sandini's big jump, but I love the callout and the fight would bang. I love that. It's an excellent fight. That's a great idea. Now we're into the real meat of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:55:45 Buzz with the boys. Scott McCrae, you get the hell out of my chat as well. There's Diego Lopez. Matt Hughes. Matt Hughes. Also, yeah, Diego Lopez and Matt Hughes. Tomorrow, we're not fighting anybody. I don't, I don't understand why he's not fighting Shafkat.
Starting point is 00:56:01 I don't get it. Apparently, it was too quick a turnaround for him. What's he, he's not going to, now he's not fighting for the belt. I guess it. That was the thing. He was like, I'm in. He's like, I went to. Colorado. I'm training. Not sure I can do December. I was like, well, if you're not going to do
Starting point is 00:56:14 December, then you are not fighting for that. You're not there. So now you're going to fight, I guess, Jack Della, unless you can, you know, there's some other option up there, but there's not, all he gets, maybe call us protest. They'll call us has the foot issue. So I don't I will, I will turn. But did you hear what Danis Eddie? So from what I understand, they offered protest the Shavka. That is what I've heard. They offered him the Shavka, he's hurt. So we're. So we're. clear that would have been we've already established
Starting point is 00:56:43 the call this process has you know probably even in the fighter of the year conversation certainly as one rookie of the year this year will absolutely be the all violence team representative for the first team at welterweight but if he added a fifth win over
Starting point is 00:56:58 shavkarakhanov just give him all the awards I'll tell you right now man Usman not fighting in December process is ahead of him in the title conversation and court right now UFC's eyes Carlos Prattis is they would go to him before.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Right now, yeah. They would go to, they'd go to Gary. They'd go to Buckley. They would go to Colby before they go to Usman right now. I don't know if they'd go to Colby. They would. Maybe. If Colby beats Buckley, certainly.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Yeah. I don't think he's going to. But that might be Usman's fate is he has to just fight Buckley if Buckley beats Colby. I don't know. Yeah. And Leon Edwards, what the, what, nothing? Like legitimately nothing. It seems to me that Leon is just going to lobby for the London card March.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah. And then whoever it's against. Maybe it's JDM. Maybe that's your JDM. And then who was going to fight. And there's nothing. Also, very important update, Mike. It's about to be fourth down for the Tennessee volunteers.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Fourth and six. From a little over half year. Fourth quarter? Oh, fourth quarter. Oh, how much time's left? I mean, a lot of fourth quarter. A lot of it still left. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:58:08 So there's plenty of time. But are they going to go for they're going to go for is their past half field. So nine minutes or are they going to try to uh that's four than six even if they got an all sides pole would be helpful. But let's make a stop boys right here go let the peep's know uh got to let the peep dude it's time for your girl we need koreen a silver to do koreen a silver things there's john jones Jonathan there's brennan gipson shout out to shout out six gun a nice guy I love six gun uh I think I see akewa back there It would appear that a flag has now been thrown on Tennessee volunteers because they're cheaters.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Big silly cheaters. Breaking news. Breaking news. This is very important. Breaking news. Casey, hit the music. Guess who has just arrived at Madison Square Garden? Steve Mietch.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Sing it. Sing the song. Tommy Espeno. Tommy Espinot. No, no, na, na, na, na. He's wearing a very, I don't know if there's a mink coat. but it seems like a very comfy. It looks very warm.
Starting point is 00:59:12 It very cozy. November and New York kind of a great. If I could have given this shirt to Tom Aspinall, oh, yeah. Who knows? But maybe he's got one on underneath the jacket. Look at those cowardly Tennessee volunteer. All right.
Starting point is 00:59:23 So look, we got 2025 events. January 11th kicks off the new year at the world's most famous apex. UFC Vegas 101. January 18th, UFC 311, officially in L.A. UFC 312 will be in Australia. UFC 313. March 8th. Team Mobile Arena.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Sit with an apex sandwich there. Apex bread. Apex bread. That's like gluten-free. Mike, let's do a brief update here on the fantasy as your girl's about to fight because as our fantasy standings, I pulled them up. It's the Nissan Black Friday event where you can, wait, wait.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Isn't it like a month long now? Nissan Blackfri month? Does that work? It's the Nissan Black Friday Month event on remaining 2025 Rogan, Centra, get 0% financing. Plus, get $1,000 Nissan bonus on kicks models. This Black Friday, you've got a whole month
Starting point is 01:00:17 to catch all the exclusive offers waiting for you. See your local Nissan dealer or nissan.ca for details. Conditions apply. It was the night before the gathering and all through the house. The host rapid cozy cashmere throw from HomeSense for
Starting point is 01:00:32 their spouse, kids' toys for $699 under the tree, and crystal glasses for just $14.9. for their brother Lee, a baking dish made in Portugal for Tom and Sue, and a nice $599 candle, perfectly priced just for you. Happy holidays to all, and to all a good price. Home sense, endless presents perfectly priced. AK is in the lead, 1310, 1,310 points.
Starting point is 01:01:01 He drafted very honorably, and he has one man competing night, Jonathan Jones, in the main event. You are in third, Sheen-Awshadhi, the villain, the rome. rogue, the scoundrel, the enemy of the state, who drafted dishonorably, and we should all shame him, is in second place right now at 1190. He does still have Shavkaaqqmanov to add some points, but he basically needs Shavka to win and get an early finish to have any realistic chance of catching AK. And a bonus. I mean, if he just wins and gets a finish and John Jones loses, then he will actually surpass
Starting point is 01:01:32 AK. You are the one who I think has the best chance to catch AK, but you have Krenei Silva. And you really need a finish here because you can get a lot of points. You can get 150 for a finish. You can get 170 if it's a first round finish. And a bonus tax another 50 on there plus a 25 bonus for, right? Like there is about 230 points up for grabs here for you. And you need as many of them as you can get to chase him down.
Starting point is 01:02:01 So big stakes for you in this upcoming fight. So A.K., shout out to him. He is drafted by the book, by the book. honorably. Shout out to the, no shout out to Shaheen. No shout out. Uh, drafted dishonor. A rogue. A villain. I blame myself. I blame myself for my Alessandro Costa pick. But to be fair, I don't. That was the best pick on the board. Was a terrific draft pick because he was fighting Matt Schnell, who was a ranked fighter, was going to get a first round finish and probably 200 plus points. Then he gets hurt and doesn't fight. That was arguably the best pick of the whole
Starting point is 01:02:34 draft. We talked about it during the draft. Bad luck. That was five. And I drafted him five. days before that fight was going to happen. And the fact that he didn't get rebooked is just tough. It's still early. Maybe there's there only a couple fights left. So there is always a chance that things could get shook up if somebody steps in short notice somewhere. You know what I, here's what I deserve. Let's just kind of go through that.
Starting point is 01:02:55 I lose, I get unlucky there. Then UFC 307 happens, which ruined everything. I did get Alex Pereira, which was, which was awesome. First pick on the, first pick on the whole thing. But Raquel Pennington probably should have won that. a fight. Josialdo absolutely should have won his fight. You got 60 points from those two and you could have at least 300 more points right now. Yeah, which is absolutely brutal. Which would actually put you like right behind AK and it would be a stone race between the two of you. So if the if the
Starting point is 01:03:26 fantasy M.A gods are truly smiling upon me and they want to kind of shift the karma, Kai Asakura can't fight or misses weight. Alessandro Costa is the backup fight. and fights pants, fights pants for the flyway belt and wins the title. It seems unlikely, but that would be... It would be unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Absolutely electric. I thought maybe there'd be a chance why Lee would get the... Okay, we're going to do the Verneth fight when they were looking. Yeah, what's happened? The Wiley just sort of being on the shelf for the whole year is very odd,
Starting point is 01:04:01 particularly when there's a clear cut. There were two very obvious. Go dogs. First down. First down. contenders for her. She must be trying to go up to fight Valentino. I know that she has come out and said that a couple of times.
Starting point is 01:04:17 It seems really weird to try and pick that now because... Especially like Manon and all that. I'll say there's very clearly Manon is like right there. And then now Blanchfield is right behind Manon. Because if Blanchfield or Manon wins, then Blanchfield probably doesn't get a rematch there. Here's our hero. Is it?
Starting point is 01:04:34 Here's our hero. You're all in on the Silva ladies. Let's go, Corrine. We need you. Need you here. Natty Ice and Karine Ace just. Natty Ice is, I mean, I knew from day one with Natty Ice. You had been easily the biggest supporter of Natty Ice, perhaps in the whole world.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Once I saw her just kind of beat the hell out of Jazz and Azizia. I was like, oh, hot damn. This girl's good. She is good. She got some, some bill on it right there. Yeah, she's got an aura to her. She's got it. Orra 5,000.
Starting point is 01:05:06 It's a contagious personality. Look at Vee Get him Get them! You're a adult Big man Veevie looking mean and ready to go
Starting point is 01:05:17 So here's the thing So I am I have picked Cranes Silva Obviously I know you're back In Crony Silva I talked myself out of a Vivvy pick Like bet Because the line here is pretty high
Starting point is 01:05:31 And I think Arujo can make this Scrappy Not sure you can win But previous Like earlier in the Let's look at where it's at right. So I have a bet on Vivi or Silva by decision because this is kind of how I feel this. I know I need a finish.
Starting point is 01:05:49 But I do have a, yeah, it's my, I got our minus. It's my 90 or whatever right now for the thing. And I do think it is, I think that we are likely on our way to a 29, 28 here, that this can be a scrappy little contest. I favor Corrine, but getting, like, I think there's a real value on Vivia, you know, plus 210 or whatever. get her at so i don't hate it i opted uh ultimately not to make the bet um because uh i just had a ton of underdogs already this whole weekend but uh she's a scrapper man she is a scrapper she does have some she is mileage on her though she got a lot that that is the one thing very much in your favor is she's what 38 i think 37 yeah um she's fought like she's falling nothing but like
Starting point is 01:06:32 ranked competition for like the last five years that's the impressive part about her resume is all of it is very, very good. And the people who have beaten her are great. She has only lost to great fighters. 37. First, yeah? Let's call it at first. Not quite.
Starting point is 01:06:49 37. So everything else, virtually identical. Creeney Silva, actually the more experienced professional mixed martial artist, believe it or not. Not in the UFC, but she has more fights. This will be a 23rd pro fight. Mine is 300 favorite. 30 years of age
Starting point is 01:07:07 Granny Silva Get ready To get me 275 fantasy Is that jacket It's not birds I thought it's crocodiles for a second Almost looks reptilian
Starting point is 01:07:17 Or like it kind of looks birdy Kind of looks like a fish Kind of looks like a landmass I don't know I don't know what it is But I do know that it's first down Georgia Bulldogs It looks like when you
Starting point is 01:07:27 I'm just gonna continue To give Georgia updates Since this game goes on What it looks like is You know how like when you play golf You get the scorecard And when you turn it on the back You see like the 18 holes
Starting point is 01:07:40 A hundred percent It's kind of laid out Just like that That's what it looks like All over the all over the jacket Brits his favorite golf courses I think Do you think Buffers got a good swing on them
Starting point is 01:07:49 I think Buffer's one of those guys That is like good at everything I could buy it Let's get him all little swing rounds Yeah dude that'd be awesome He's probably playing like a plus six That's tough Who are we swing rounding down in Tampa with
Starting point is 01:08:04 We got to find Ian Gary would have been actually a really good one and I think that's somebody who probably would have done it. Even pre-fight or we had to do that post-fight? So we almost did the first ever swing rounds almost took place at UFC 273 fight week, which is an early Ian Gary fight or no, Ian wasn't fighting on the card or maybe he was.
Starting point is 01:08:25 But he was there. We were going to do something. It didn't come to fruition, unfortunately. They were going to do something with Cater. It didn't happen. We were going to do something with Brian Keller. It didn't happen. But yeah, we tried like early on.
Starting point is 01:08:38 He wanted to do it and we just couldn't get it. But Ian apparently is like a really good golfer. I very much believe that. I really want us to do one with Daniel Gormier because he's terrible at golf, but he likes it. He says he's really good. I don't know. I have seen him swing. There's not a world in which he is good.
Starting point is 01:08:56 There's just no chance. All right. Here we go. 440 left. Ooh. I mean, we're coming out with fire ladies. I see. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Maybe. You know, Taylor Serrano-esque here? I see some heads clashing potentially. Jose, Greenie's Silver looks. She looks like a substantially larger than. I didn't realize. Now I feel so much better. Arrucho,
Starting point is 01:09:16 I mean, looks carved out of wood, right? Like, cut. Creany looks like. Crina looks like she got 20 pounds on her in there. Yeah. She looks like she's carved out of wood at a different weight close. Viva's just like, Vivi just landed like a big shirt and it did nothing.
Starting point is 01:09:33 I mean, she's created just. Oh, that was a. I like what I'm seeing here. This is good. This is good. I like the aggression. Playing bully ball right now. I'm just crowding her.
Starting point is 01:09:44 Yeah. Just getting inside her space. Arugio's landing some good shots. Creas just garden. I think Arrujo really does not want this to go to the floor. Like she can compete there, but I do think Karine would have her top position would have a decided advantage. So this is how Arrujo has to do. She got to stay at range, fire in shots, try and be the quicker fighter.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Good jab from Let's let's end this game In this game right now Carson Good left hand from Silva Man those short little shots Arrugia just not like them Oh okay Oh greening tried to get her down
Starting point is 01:10:24 She's trying to big head kick Starting to regret not betting on Arrucho Good light kick from the odds after this round They're going to change dramatically Front kick on the close Good right hand from Arrucho She's just pot shot and just pop move pop move
Starting point is 01:10:40 just get in another step more and then you can start landing those leg kicks and Karina Silva is not a fighter that's when she has someone's leg hurt she's gonna keep kicking she's not like Johnson March he knows
Starting point is 01:10:56 also Arruzzo is just not gonna be able to do this forever like it's just hard to move as much as she is moving oh silver right hand oh that was neat good uppercut from Arrucho no effect
Starting point is 01:11:09 no yeah I mean well it's like hitting a tree yeah what is he gonna do Boards don't hit back in the words of Did you end up watching any of the co-work eye yet? No. I've entirely. I almost did today and I was just like I'm too tired. Like I'm not going to enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:11:31 I've got to finish it though. This is a lot on my watch list right now. Yeah. Plus I still need to go back and watch the mystery round. Then I'll have a good time. A better understanding of what happened. I almost didn't want to watch it. but then it was just right there
Starting point is 01:11:45 and I ended up watching it and it was only two minutes. Yeah, it's two minutes. Why not watch the mystery round? It was way better than Paul Tyson's second round, that's for sure. Oh, so good shot. Yeah. This is a very close round.
Starting point is 01:12:01 This round is very much up for grabs right now between these two ladies. Dean Thomas, noting that Silva is trying to get a hold of Arrujo and simply cannot. Oh, good shot from Arirjo. Good little left hand. Just enough to keep her away.
Starting point is 01:12:25 She seems to have the range pretty well now, Rujo. Well, Silva's still trying to get inside to get, create contact and make something happen there. She's getting Arrujo backwards, but Arrugio's just doing a good job, like staying within that like sort of outside octagon where all the names are.
Starting point is 01:12:42 Oh, good left hand from Silver there, though, a little over the top as Arrucho moves. A little right hand lands. Arugio misses, 45 seconds left here in round one. I mean, Silva is back. This is kind of what I thought this would look like. This isn't great for your fantasy team.
Starting point is 01:13:06 Ooh. Oh, she heard. Ooh. Oh, her two. Come on, knees! Knees! Hold on to her. Yes.
Starting point is 01:13:19 Oh, keep going. Oh, you had so many chances. Oh, go to talk. Get in there. Silver just going to make it a brawl. Come on. Go. Ten seconds.
Starting point is 01:13:30 Oh, Brackick would have been awesome. Oh, Mike. Those so close to you. She stung her. Oh, that was so close for you, Mike. She heard her. She did. Oh.
Starting point is 01:13:42 Nope. Don't get DQed. Don't get DQed. Don't get DQed. That would, that would happen to me. DQ would in fact end your hopes. That would absolutely have to be. 10-9 Silva for me.
Starting point is 01:13:52 That, uh, yeah, she won that round after hurting her. 100%. Busted her up. Absolutely. Silver wins the round. I mean, that's how the textbook scoring goes. More damage. more more impact on our maybe get the doctor in to have a look at our
Starting point is 01:14:08 rojo you know you're really looking for that last second that nose that nose is an absolute disaster get in here stop this fight first round uh triple h is in the building how about that hmm um i mean with stepney mcmann is he is he is he is he in charge of the he sure is he's the other member of t ko management tree yeah he's the he's the man is the Dana and then he's the Dana of thing. Yeah. First down Georgia. First and goal from the three with two minutes and 30 seconds to play
Starting point is 01:14:44 unless we totally butcher this. Dogs on top, baby. We got Jan Figgy next week. 6 a.m. Really very flying under the radar. Obviously there's a lot going on this week. Yeah. But I mean that fight rules. That's also totally derailing us on that fight.
Starting point is 01:15:04 But like, I have been very critical of Marab, I think justifiably. The part that is the most annoying to me about Marab's like beef with Umar and basically trying not to fight
Starting point is 01:15:16 him or pretty publicly, he does have a very viable argument that he just hasn't made. He made it on fight night that I think Davies and Figurato deserves it. And he's gotten away from that just to be like, I don't think Umar deserves it, which is garbage.
Starting point is 01:15:31 When he could just be like, if Figgie beat him, Peter Yan, he is the most deserving guy. I'm going to fight him. Because that is true. Like that is a true statement at that point. And he has not gone to that well at all. And it is insane.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Come on, get her down. She's gotten her connected. Arruju fighting for her life to stay standing. Because if she gets put on her back, it is not going to be good for her. Oh, good job from Arugio. Yeah. Arrucho's whole body language has changed now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:09 She got hurt. She's more tired. Not as much spring in her step. Her face is looking pretty rough. Look a little lumpy. This is for sure. She's not looking Yami's lawn top lumpy, but. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:25 Oh, that was a mean left hook to just breathing out. Oh, front kick landed that time. Oh, big right hand from Silva. Come on. Got her against the fence. Why are you even shooting, girl? Just fire. that bullet down.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Because if she gets a stop position on her, she's got a big fence grab. I should get a hundred points for that fence grab. Blatent, blatant fence grab. And now she's going to get a better position. And she's, she's using a strong overhook to keep this fight standing. Oh, another fence grab. Another one. Another one.
Starting point is 01:16:58 That third one was it. She just touched that one. All right. The lasso, but two and a half fence grab. The front one was a good one. Yeah. She's going to grab it again. I mean, why wouldn't you cheat?
Starting point is 01:17:09 always cheap of course then cana Taylor she had but in a manna's round seven times and won the fight she did a lot and won almost as a direct result of it oh there it's a trip let's go
Starting point is 01:17:23 well inside trip you had two minutes and 30 seconds the second round finish is a big big point score it's only you only lose 10 points from the first round finish which we'll probably readjust our scoring next season oh so does she bust silver open
Starting point is 01:17:39 somebody is bleeding for sure and I would have to guess that it's it's a oh yeah oh oh oh oh a ruzo on an actual honest Scott onbar rolled out of guard don't you frigin silver's having to do the cross grip i mean she's going to be able to pivot it out but if if arujo can break the hands here that is legitimately on there oh god oh it's going oh it's going going oh silver got the step over well done. Arrucho couldn't get the, couldn't get the thumb down. Power bomber.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Terrific work from Cranei Silva. Now elbow the shit out of her. Elbow the shit out of her. 12-6s, let's go. Shoulder pressure. That might have, there's possible that that was a result. She is breathing deeply from bottom now.
Starting point is 01:18:27 This is the best fight of the night so far. Yeah, I think that's probably accurate. Oh, a little bottom side crucifix from Rujo. Do our elbows, homie? 75 seconds left. It kind of looks like Silva's trying to set up a north-south choke because she's got the one arm under
Starting point is 01:18:47 and she's scooting that arm to the head. Yeah. Oh, she's trying. Oh, because she is absolutely trying to set up a north-south, which is now going to turn to a dars. Oh, actually, that's an anaconda. Come on. I think she's a little not there enough with it.
Starting point is 01:19:03 Maybe. Oh, it's getting, It's getting tight. Oh, now it's a lot tighter. It is a lot tighter now. Arrucho's in good spot to at least keep her hips back and keep rotating with her. She looks very uncomfortable. That's trapped in the arm.
Starting point is 01:19:19 Silva's got to get her hips closer to Arruder's hips. Nope, and we're out. Wow. That was a fun little scramble. Yeah, it was. And I do believe that it is Silva who is bleeding. It looks like from her nose. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:34 And now we're in, sort of Kamara trap position here for for Rujo Arrujo laced up the Kamara grip really good position to finish this if she can just yank the hand up which she should be able to do right now she's punching uh she's doing a great job punching she's doing a great job of punching Silva keeping that arm up she should be able to yank the arm
Starting point is 01:19:56 oh short short enough time that was a really fun little round um I don't know who won that round Eitheling VV but I go real weird that is very I will I will go 10 9 Silva still
Starting point is 01:20:15 I'll go with you 109 as well why that is a coin flip I thought I mean Divi had one very good arm bar attempt the good finish certainly Silva did tag her still a couple of times on the feet though also had her own choke attempt
Starting point is 01:20:30 yeah just a back Like, no wrong way to score that round. That is a round that I would honestly say should be scored a 10-10. The scoring does not allow for that. But like... Which is silly. It's very silly. I think that that round is in, was...
Starting point is 01:20:44 There's no loser to that round. But... Yeah. Great round. And like I said, this was the fight I thought. Like, Oruza is a scrapper man. She's going to make it hard on you. Let's see what the live odds are.
Starting point is 01:20:58 Where we'll find out in a moment. Fun little scrap. Jelly roll enjoying it. I think I see Brilipagnia out there in the crowd. 3117 for the heroes. Just what a day, a glorious day. And could be 1-1, could be 2-0. Couldn't be the other 2-0.
Starting point is 01:21:29 Yeah, I don't. Either Silva. Oh, good entry, but a really nice wizard work there from Arrucho. She going for a ride. Oh, and she's going to roll on that way. Oh, and that is, she is in. That knee is passed. Wow.
Starting point is 01:21:45 What a scramble from Arrucho there. I say she's going to be able to pull that knee through and take top position if she can fight off the over, fight off the dig under here from Silva. I mean, all she really needs to do is go high hip clear. Yeah, exactly like that. Now step. Silva now trying to recompose the guard.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Oh, stand her up. Arrucho, I feel like you were doing okay on the ground girl, but she wants us back on the feet. Yeah. I better not, Mark, you better not say a word to create a silvo. If she grabbed a glove, who cares? Who cares? Let her cheat.
Starting point is 01:22:20 Arouja grabbed the fence a million times. Mark, we know everyone can cheat. It's fine. Yeah. Maybe slow down a little bit. Both of them appear tired. Yeah. It appear that they have been having a fist fight for 10 plus minutes.
Starting point is 01:22:37 And it's been a pretty frenetic pace. It's a lot of activity. Yeah, this is a sloppy. Orio getting real sloppy. I don't feel good about the silver buy finish here. It seems unlikely. Oh, she can't even stand her feet. She just, she did a front kick.
Starting point is 01:22:57 Arrucho just kind of grabbed the heel and so it just fell over her. Arrucho should 100% go to ground here because if she won the second round, she can win this fight by just being in top position here. She's not even touching her. Got her center up. I've got, I do really wish the rest would be more proactive in, in, uh, Allianoki position. Yeah, you can't stand.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Fighters will stay there forever on both sides. You should be like, oh, if we're doing this, we're going back. Let's go. I'll stand 30 feet away and just pretend to kick. Yeah. Oh, good body kick. Good light kick. That stung Arrucho a little bit.
Starting point is 01:23:32 More leg kicks. Oh, nice little shifty uppercut from Rujo. Oh, good right hand from Silver again. Both of them landed on that one. We're just scrap. I mean, this is a freaking. This is a good fight. Very good fight.
Starting point is 01:23:45 very close. I do not know who's winning right now, Mike. It's 20 to 14, Silva. No, I like that. The front kicks are just... 20 to 14, you say. There's a dominant display for such a close fight.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Ooh, good leg kick from Silva again. I like the leg kicks. Those are really... Shopping them trees. Yep, those are her... Ooh. I can never... Odds are very hitting tighter.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Stop throwing that. Arrucho should a thousand percent go to ground with her. Stand him up, Mark. I do not know what she is doing. Stand him up, Mark. You could easily have, this could easily be one-one. You could just steal the round in the fight.
Starting point is 01:24:28 No, our front-kicks. Kick her in the legs. But that one front kick, she landed to the face was sick. So if you're going to front kick, do it. Well, kick her in the legs 18 times first. And then. And then we can, we could shift. 90 seconds.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Oh, good right hand. A little, little, little, oh, those, those. feel a little tension on this one, Mike. Yeah, I agree. She's so tired, man. She just falls over. So much just fell off. She shot and it was so slow that a Ruzzo just sidestepped her like an actual
Starting point is 01:25:08 frigging matator and silver just kind of fell and rolled to her back. That's okay because our Rujo is deciding to just let her run right back up. The optics are real bad there. All right. Here we go. Here's your moment. All right, we got a little clinch out. Oh, nice little elbow there for me.
Starting point is 01:25:23 and a knee. Oh, Orojo almost just fell over. I know, and that would have been ball game. I mean, this. I don't know why she's doing this. I don't understand. Very, very much determine the fight if she gets to take down here. Or she could just, you know, keep hitting her where she's having a lot of success.
Starting point is 01:25:45 She really isn't a strong wizard there from Rujo. Great wizard game. Because Silva's shot, like Silva's landing way better shots at this round. I don't know if I'd say. say way better. They're more impactful. Arruchus is having success. Oh,
Starting point is 01:26:00 she's about to get the wizard fin. Yes. Arrucho, with a wizard into headlock throw right at the end. Now she's in like scarf holdy position. But this isn't going to do anything. I mean, no,
Starting point is 01:26:12 there's just going to be a rotation and we're going to finish here. Good fight. All right. Silva wins. 30 27. I have Silva 29, 28, because I am in fact giving that last round.
Starting point is 01:26:25 to Arrucho. I didn't spell that right. So I'm sorry, but boom. That's the world they're living in right there. 2928 for Karinei Silva. Yeah. I wouldn't feel massively confident about that score. Suck it, Tennessee.
Starting point is 01:26:47 Oh, my God. Henry Suhudo tweeting out two different score cards in this fight is terrific. I mean, why not cover all your bases? 2018 Silva, great arm bar attempt by Arousa, but silver's in firm control. And then a minute later, he changed it to 1990. It all comes down to this who wants it more. Sometimes you rethink it and you realize that it's more fun if the third round is up for grabs. The only one who probably said that and was like, oh, I don't want to seem like an idiot.
Starting point is 01:27:15 But I can see a world where that's a 2018. I think we're heading to Splitty City right now, kid. I think we are heading to Splitty City. I mean. Judges take it a little time. I feel good about it because I don't know if she won this fight or not. Kind of kind of wish for the Arojo. I had that ticket right now.
Starting point is 01:27:35 And Silva almost finished her in the first. She's so close. I think Silva won, but I think there's going to be a fumble in Georgia recovery. I'd like to cash a minus 110. Go, dogs! Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, we go in UD. Perugio looking very confident.
Starting point is 01:28:05 That is now two for two on the main card of Buffer standing behind the winner. Mike, you. I'm out of fantasy. It was an admirable fight. It was an admirable fight. I really wish I'd made that bet. Yeah. Again, I did score the fight for three.
Starting point is 01:28:23 So I don't think that's a robbery. It's not. remotely a robbery, but my older brother said he placed a bet on Vivie, so congratulations Brian had. Hey, way to go. Good call. That is politics, baby.
Starting point is 01:28:42 Tulsi Gabbard. Oh, Tulsi Gabbard's there too. Miles Teller in the house. The entire cabinet has coalesed around UFC 309. Tyler, you're looking as happy as ever. He seems deeply, deeply in the building.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Why is Kyle Murray seems so unhappy to be there? He's not chuggled. grump. Oh, Mikey meets Amici. Let's go Mikey. You know, the first
Starting point is 01:29:06 Grapler. Look at the smile on his face now that he's not being seen by billions and billions of one fans. First, first grappler to be signed to whatever, UFC exclusive, however they're doing it. I don't know if I've ever seen him happier.
Starting point is 01:29:21 I mean, I do find it deeply, deeply funny that like everyone who leaves one is immediately like, it's the worst place that's ever been. RDR coming and be like, I'm genuinely just trying to do right by other fighters. Don't go there. Don't go there. It's a terrible place.
Starting point is 01:29:39 It's like, sick. RDR has, RDR is the best. The greatest middleweighty middleweight champion that there ever was. I tried to tell you guys for years. Just wait until we get to the RDR era, baby. But the way, the way you set up is like, you introduced him to us. We thought, we thought his greatness might trend in a, different direction.
Starting point is 01:30:01 You just thought he would be good. Yeah. You just thought he was good. I thought he was way. I thought he was funny and maybe okay. This is terrifically better. Like, Dracus DuBlessy is the greatest bad fighter that's ever lived.
Starting point is 01:30:15 RDR is a good bad fighter. Like he's actually good, but he's deeply funny because he's incredibly flawed. Oh, yeah. He's, he's very good at one thing, but he just doesn't do it that much. And it's,
Starting point is 01:30:30 it makes him so much. more entertaining. He's the freaking best man. Oh, now we get to see a sanctioned murder. I freaking hope Paul Craig pulls it off. If we have a night where Paul Craig and Steve A win on the same card, I don't know what I'm going to do. There is the Bryce Mitchell versus Crone Gracie.
Starting point is 01:30:53 What? Okay. Holy shit. That's a real weird. Where the hell did that come from? That's a real weird fight. That is a real. is the most out of nowhere fight i have ever seen uh i honestly forgot crow grace existed
Starting point is 01:31:07 until this moment it died wow all right so we got pants this is ufc three 10 pants asakura shop got i and gary cyril gun alexander volkov bryce mitchell versus crone gracy Nate landware versus do ho choy uh we confirmed that fight already but god brice mitchell versus crone gracy undeniably has some exciting political takes going on there. I give that fight a 7% chance of actually happening, though, with these two fighters involved. Well, I mean, I don't even know.
Starting point is 01:31:44 Where did that come from? That might be the first fight in U.S. history that features two people who don't believe the Earth is round, because I suspect Chrome Gracie does not believe the Earth is around. That is such an absurd. Like, where did that come from? What was the last time Crowe v. Fought?
Starting point is 01:32:04 I got to look this up now. It was the, what was it, Charles Jordane? Just, like, humiliated him. A million years ago? I'm just, like, it wasn't that long ago. We did a watch party. Was it 297? It wasn't 297, was it?
Starting point is 01:32:18 It was 288. 288. That was the jersey card. It was 18 months ago. Jesus Christ. May of 2020. And that was, like, terrible. That was Jordan.
Starting point is 01:32:30 just beating the hell out of that man. Just killed him. You couldn't do anything. That was when people thought. It was like a sad. It was like a sad watch. It was just sad watch. I remember like GC and I were watching that.
Starting point is 01:32:42 I were like, why is this happening? This is just awful. I mean, it is the thing is like he could beat Bryce Mitchell though. It could totally happen. How though? Because they'll just grapple and Crone is a good grappler. Bryce is also a good grappler. That's the, like, that's why it's competitive.
Starting point is 01:33:00 They will compete in a similar skill set. $85 for a pay-per-view that involves Bryce Mitchell versus Chrome Gracie. Yeah, that's going to legitimately be one of the poorest selling pay-per-views of the year. Yeah. I mean, shot guy, Gary's a great fight. The main event, rocks.
Starting point is 01:33:17 Gone and Volkov's a good fight. It's fun. I like it. Duho Choi is Dooh-Joy Nate Landware is fun as hell. And then like one of these things is not like the other. That's an unbelievable banger. And then we have Bryce Mitchell and Crone Gracie. That is the most random fight of the year.
Starting point is 01:33:34 That's super random. Holy smokes. I'm really sad about Paul Craig's about to die. I was just thinking about it because they're doing the promo right now. And here's the thing. Paul Craig feels to me like I was trying to think of this this week as he was doing stuff. Paul Craig does everything right. And he's just not.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Oh, interesting. Interesting super chat. Mitchell and Gracie both flat-Earthers, so maybe the UFC is trying to figure out which one to keep. That was the thing. I wasn't sure that Chrome Grace was a flat-earther, but I was betting that it was true. He was a minus 200 that he was.
Starting point is 01:34:13 I mean, yeah, if it's confirmed that he actually is that, oh, terrific. They're both going to fly on planes to go to goddamn Las Vegas and not think the world is round and be like, I'm talking about it. Oh, man. Oh, my happiest moment of the year, other than Steve Ane knocking out John in a couple of hours.
Starting point is 01:34:32 Let Mitchell and Gracie talk it out for 50 minutes instead of fighting. That's the thing. I want them to just be in like a lockdown guard position and be discussing flat earth theories. Like you know how Habib used to talk to people? Like you got to let me fight for the title. Just give up. I hope that it's like, Crohn is in there working a leglock attempt as Bryce is on top. And just like, so what do you think about like the photos for?
Starting point is 01:34:57 space. Are those all Photoshopped? Shout out to Meg. It'll leave you, by the way. What a professional. She's so good. She's going to leave here at like 4 a.m. to go flying, cover an NFL game later on. That's incredible. Shout out to truth futurist. Flat Earthers versus sphere. We should have absolutely put that fight on at the sphere. Oh, you're absolutely right. Friggin, that is a missed out. Sean Shelby, you just, you'll never be the goat because you didn't think to put that on. Look at Paul Craig's swagger.
Starting point is 01:35:27 I was telling you, man, he genuinely, I'm not sure there's another fighter who, like, if he was good, would be moreover. He's got a gimmick. He talks well on the mic. He, like, he came to the UFC press conference stuff in a soprano's t-shirt and with a New York Yankees. And he was way better than Boe Nichol was in that press conference. It's so much better. Way better. He is a, he is good on the mic.
Starting point is 01:35:51 Like, the Scottish thing works for him, the brave heart face. Like, he just, he has all the parts to be. be like a beloved over figure except for the being good at fighting part. He's like good. He's just not great. If he was a great fighter, but he has like be a monster. He has stoppage wins over Magamette Anka Laif and Jamal Hill.
Starting point is 01:36:14 He's very fun. And that's the thing. Like he's all he is so close to being like a star and he'll never get there because of an inherent limitation. Just think either. No matter what. happens here. Paul Craig versus RDR is like we're knocking on the door of that fight as I said after RDR one give me Michelle Pahedah because it's a very very silly fight but if
Starting point is 01:36:39 that's not going to happen. That's a good one. Paul Craig is a terrific answer for RRR's next point. I want with Gregory Rodriguez. Look, Robocop is there's so few bad ways. Bruno Ferro. I mean, there's literally. No, Bruno Ferra might kill him. We shouldn't do that. but he might not I mean if he gets tackled the fight is over I suppose but it's just the best
Starting point is 01:37:03 there's no wrong way to go with him Paul Craig is literally like kid in playing in the octagon right now dude he's he's the best he loves fighting like he's just
Starting point is 01:37:12 he knows Donald Trump's not rooting for him he seems like a genuinely cool dude like he's Scottish he's got to play golf and they invented he does I think he does so they invented the damn thing
Starting point is 01:37:24 he's got to play golf Let's get him. Let's go to Scotland and do swing rounds. Deal. I'm in. Say less. Say less. We're so back.
Starting point is 01:37:34 We're so back. Here comes Bo. I'm going to, I'm going for number two here. Oh, load. I mean, we're getting into the nitty gritty. Load up. Is this fight middle weighty is a question from Kirk Patterson? No.
Starting point is 01:37:48 I mean, it's half middle weighty. I don't think Bo is going to let it be middleweighty. He can be. me. He can be real fun. I mean, real fun. Jermaine, I think you're right. I think Paul Craig is about to get beat up. I suspect Bo Nicol just doesn't engage in grappling at all.
Starting point is 01:38:06 And while Paul Craig is a competent striker, he's not an amazing striker by any stretch in the imagination. And Bo Nickel has shown that he has some power. You see on the board, I do have a bet on this one. I've got Bo Nickel by Keo because there's a little like minus 150 or whatever. And I strongly anticipate that to be the outcome here. But as Mike mentioned, Paul Craig has he's pulled off pretty major upset. Speed has wins over Jamal Hill and Magamund Ankelaev, two of the seven best light heavyweights in the world right now.
Starting point is 01:38:39 Yeah. I think most people would be very, very pleased if Craig got the win, it is just a tall task. Joe Rogan saying he believes Bo Nicol is going to dominate the stand-up. It could be. I think he's going to win it. don't know if it will be dominant, but he doesn't need much. Just a couple punches. Paul Craig's got a little weather on him.
Starting point is 01:39:07 Did he greet Trump? Did he have a moment? I didn't notice that happening. It's possible that that did happen. I'm certain he will greet him after he, oh, now he just gave him a little thing. Man, Elon Musk is just the biggest dork that's ever lived. It's tough to watch. It's uncomfortable to watch.
Starting point is 01:39:26 Like, whatever your thoughts are on Donald Trump, he's not a dork. Like he's very clearly not a dork Elon Musk is a monster dork There's the tail of the tape Paul Craig to it What happened? Craig is the fourth
Starting point is 01:39:45 tallest UFC middle weight That is an official stat they put up a tail the tail of it Like Why? Like why the fourth tallet Why is that on the board? Who is in the graphics room like
Starting point is 01:39:58 Yeah What this needs to add a little spice to it. Paul Craig. He's two inches tall his two inches tall as and Boehickle is the fourth tallest. Okay. Oh, that's a great staff.
Starting point is 01:40:11 Sidney, Paul, Tom Aspinall is there. We have seen him. He is in a luscious brown fur coat of some kind. He's there. We get to see Buffers full card there. Oh, we can.
Starting point is 01:40:27 A lot of notations. Notations, highlights. That's like coastal high there. Fourth tallest is pretty tall. I mean, it's not too tall. It is pretty tall. It's taller than many. I'd like to know the three tallest ones.
Starting point is 01:40:43 Have you seen middleweights? That's a great question. I do not know the answer. Is he one of them? Is he probably like six three, right? So yeah. RDR? He seems pretty tall.
Starting point is 01:40:55 I don't know. I don't think he's as tall as Paul Craig, but maybe. That's the thing. like that just begs questions that they're never going to answer and I would like I don't even know how to find that answer other than individually Googling the chat the chat it's send the list tan Dan YouTube gold I will levitate if Steepa knocks him out I will I will probably go streaking through Mike's neighborhood there's a lovely water feature just like half a block up the road from Mike that I will just go dive naked into in celebration of Steepa wins it'll be terrific there's a pool right behind it. Oh, that might be closed,
Starting point is 01:41:33 though. I'm certain that at 3 a.m. the pool is going to be closed. No, I think it's like close close close. Oh, close close. Well, also makes sense.
Starting point is 01:41:41 It is almost December. We are underway here. 440. 438, 37, 36. Boe looks tiny in there. Bo with ball. I mean, he's in there gets the fourth stall
Starting point is 01:41:55 is middleweight. Oh, yeah. I mean, this is a big step up literally and figuratively. Paul Craig is a big, is a big middleweight. This is very true because he was not a small light heavyweight
Starting point is 01:42:05 in the fashion. So he's a big middleweight in there, big fella. Bo is very cagey. I do have a bet on this fight under one and a half. This is not the pace you want. It's not good.
Starting point is 01:42:17 This is not the start you're open for. Oh. Bo just misses a monster stepping left overhand. While Craig winning would be pretty funny though. It would be electric. It would be great too
Starting point is 01:42:31 It sets things up for Steepace so well Bo Nickel wouldn't lose that much shine Like yeah you lose to a veteran Kind of happens and Paul Craig would just be so over Plus I kind of don't like Bo Nickel So nice little short left hook there from Craig Oh A little check hook on that one there
Starting point is 01:42:47 Oh Craig Oh it's a leg kick Paul Craig saying all right You're gonna have to wrestle And then that's where I want you to be buddy Paul wants him to wrestle I think Paul's kind of talking to him too It's like hey look at
Starting point is 01:42:59 this front leg, you could take it. Get that little snatch single. Let's see how it goes. Oh, this is fun. What's this? Look, this, I believe you called for this fight for a while. Yeah, yeah, I love this one. And it makes a lot of sense. Oh, Paul, Paul having some fun in there now.
Starting point is 01:43:15 He's showing him the hips. And you just check the leg kick. He's talking to him. Yeah. Oh, young man. They say, we ain't wrestling. You're not in Kansas. You're not in Penn State anymore, young fella.
Starting point is 01:43:25 I haven't seen that look in Bo's face. You're in the Oxigon. I'm a big man. This is big Scottish fella. Get him. Ooh, going high again, just freely kicking.
Starting point is 01:43:40 See if Boe decides he wants to risk the old take down. Broadly speaking, obviously, I don't think he should. I really don't think he should. I don't think so yet. But I also think he shouldn't be scared of grappling with Paul Craig. This is a guy who grappled Gordon Ryan for like 10 minutes or whatever.
Starting point is 01:43:59 He knows his way. around the floor good counter left from paul craig good kick to the body from i mean paul craig is winning this round right now completely agree boe nichols also not throwing that much yeah a couple leg he's got paul's started him off a bit yeah and that that price is itles down to minus 620 it's about half of what it was at the start sure is i mean yeah bo's just not bow doesn't have a lot of ideas yeah bow has an outside leg like like calf kick and And he's got that sort of shifting left overhand. And he lands kind of to the body.
Starting point is 01:44:42 Not a little bit of the body. But he does. I mean, he is what he is. He has seven fights in his career or whatever. He is still very clearly developing. He has natural power, but he needs some work.
Starting point is 01:44:53 This is why I've been saying, Paul, you need, or not Paul, Beau, you should have been fighting a lot more. It's just where you need to be in your career right now. But Paul Craig,
Starting point is 01:45:04 just, Big fella. Look at that big boy. He's checked like every leg kick bow is there. He's really picked up on that. And Paul ain't like an electric striker, but. He's been doing a good right hook from Bo though. He didn't hit him though.
Starting point is 01:45:25 Paul just feeling himself in there. Yeah. I'm just grooving. Little leg kicks. Oh, good, good right hand from Paul. Yeah. The bear Jew. Oh, big left hand from Bo.
Starting point is 01:45:40 Oh, landed. There, that was his best shot of the round. And another one. That one, not as much. Paul is laughing at him. But that was the best moment of the right. Oh, elbow from Craig. That was nasty.
Starting point is 01:45:53 Step and elbow. But Bo, the answer's with the right. Bo's going to really need to make more of a fight out of this because he is just kind of falling slowly behind here. Yeah, he's just getting, Craig's landing those little calf kicks over and over again. Staying a little busier, Bo's. Yeah. 15 seconds. He was looking clearly for a big shot.
Starting point is 01:46:12 Both have landed. 15. I do not believe those numbers are accurate. I don't either. Body kick from Craig. Five seconds. Yeah, both. Greg. 10-9 Paul Craig for me. Who knows what I'll put on this board. No one. And then you'll never know until I show you. Just put question marks to be the mystery round. No, no, no. There's no mystery to this round. That round, ladies and gentlemen, 10-9 for the- It goes to the bear-jew. I mean, they can't see. it but they hear it and it's great. The bear,
Starting point is 01:46:47 you good round for for Paul. Get it done. I mean, swing rounds. In Scotland's coming off of a win over Boe Nickel. It was, it's going to be fun.
Starting point is 01:46:58 Oh, man. The Lynx courses over there. The wins. Love a links course. We'll be shooting 1.30s and having a great time. I mean, I'm going to lose so much into that high thrush. It's just going to be amazing.
Starting point is 01:47:14 Uncanny's two. Look at Paul. He's done. He's a lot. He was looking at it. Because what do they keep thinking? Let's go, baby. They're like, why do they keep thinking this guy's a big deal?
Starting point is 01:47:22 He also. What are they all talking about? That was awesome. Maybe the best beard in the UFC. Oh, yeah. Oh, I want nothing but good things to happen for old Paul Craig. Look at the demeanors of both guys. It's wild.
Starting point is 01:47:39 I want to see if Bo tries to wrestle even just to add some something different this round. Yeah. You know, you don't have to engage totally, but letting Paul Craig just play for. Free is risky. Oh, we almost fell over and that wouldn't have been good. Joseph Bozai was aware that my Bulldogs have now functionally made it into the playoffs, which we're pretty pumped about our dogs. I don't think we can win this year, but happy to be in the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:48:07 Aaron Brown said I scored it for for nickel. I just don't agree. Yeah, come on. Come on. Let's have a little fun. Live a little guys. Yeah, we see some scores for Craig. Yep, there's another one for Craig.
Starting point is 01:48:17 Guys, do, what kind of be the change you want to see in the world. Let's have fun. Let's have fun out there. Which guy that seems to be having more fun in the case. Got to tell you is Paul Craig right now. Yeah. He's feeling himself. Bo with a good left hand.
Starting point is 01:48:34 But like he does, he's not, like Craig is not even affected by his shots. It's, it is something else. You're not going to get a guard puller to bite on a takedown faint. That's fair. But what have you just actually shot a takedown to? to mix things up. Just, yeah, just drop to a knee. Oh, Bo's starting to target the body a little more, which I like that.
Starting point is 01:49:01 That's a fun idea. Oh, now they're trading. Left hand. Oh, I really like this little lifting knee from Paul Craig. He's done it two or three times now. It's slowed bow down. Because Bo's duck in his head when he's throwing that left overhand. And Paul's just trying to put a knee into his face.
Starting point is 01:49:15 I also like the short little leg kicks Paul's been landing as well. We're not seeing a lot of those in this round. Well, he's doing it less when the stance gets a. open when he's not doing it in the open stance he's going to that out. Oh, that was about as good as Boe could could actually hit somebody. Yeah. I did nothing to Paul Craig. Paul Craig just
Starting point is 01:49:32 just wore that one. Yeah. I mean, that was a full on clean overhand right with almost everything he had on it and it didn't even budge him. Look at Paul Craig. What a, what a gentleman. Just how good is Kyle Bajalio? Well, I mean, we know that Kyle Barrio is and he's a giant.
Starting point is 01:49:49 Very, very good fellow. He could be a 205. A little lifting knee from Paul Craig is saucy. Hmm. So we shouldn't feel bad about this, but this performance and the Cody Durdon are going to really temper the Boehnickle hype train. Even if Boe comes and wins his fight, certainly code. Cody Brundage. Brundage, not Durdish, sorry.
Starting point is 01:50:14 Not the same weight class. So I would anticipate. They're 60 pounds away from each other. I believe Bo Nickle could beat Cody Durdon pretty comfortable. And I have lost my under one and a half. So wonderful. This is just off to a terrific start. Not the start you want.
Starting point is 01:50:27 Thank God for Jim Miller. I need these next two bets to cash to have a winning, a winning day. Left hand from Bo that landed pretty clean. And again, Paul just eating it. I'm feeling a lot less confident on my Bo by TKO bed at this stage of the game. Yeah, because he can't hurt him. I'm really glad I didn't put Bo in the climb at this point in time right now. I do think Bo's winning this round.
Starting point is 01:50:54 I think he is definitely winning the round. He has been a lot more active. Paul Craig is maybe smelling his own work a little too much. Too excited to just sit back and try and find a counter. Whereas I think he won that first round by being more active. But, I mean, there's still 90 seconds, and a big moment is enough to take this round either way. MSG is...
Starting point is 01:51:18 Bluebirds. Yeah, they're... Did let them know. Didn't see that coming. Man, Boehnickle was talking a whole mess about putting on a great performance in front of the future president. He's not. I don't think Bo Nichols about to be.
Starting point is 01:51:30 Oh, good left hand from Craig. That was nice. It was a good. The thing is when Nickel is getting in to really make a fight of it, Craig is responding and Nicol doesn't want that. Oh, oh, two good left hands from Craig. I think Nicol doesn't really like to get hit is what I'm starting to learn here, which is fair.
Starting point is 01:51:49 Neither do I. I mean, who does? Forrest Griffin was pretty. Lawn top kind of like getting hit. Forrest always loved to get hit. get hit that was his thing i don't feel like i'm gonna fight until i get hit uh some weirdos out there you know masochists that's true but uh i don't think but nickel's one of those oh good left hand though but he really snapped paul craig's head back paul is much bigger than bow yeah oh that's a very
Starting point is 01:52:19 nice body kick i mean from paul crag 15 seconds i think nichols went in the round but one big shot could steal it yeah if craig just lands like a big like a big punch he could steal it. It's like 51.49 here. Oh, good. Instead of good right hammer bow. Craig lands back. Oh. Oh, good little finish from from nickel.
Starting point is 01:52:39 Good round. 10-9 nickel for me, 19s. Not a thrilling affair. It's not, but it's an interesting one. It is interesting. We're learning a lot about bow. I'm learning a lot about bow nickel.
Starting point is 01:52:54 10-9 nickel, indeed. So I've got it all tied. We're all squares. these realsies. Everything to play for. Nickel, you know, sitting on his stool. You don't see old Paul Craig doing the,
Starting point is 01:53:09 what's the, where are people talking about this guy for anymore? Now he's, now he's treating this like he's in an actual fist fight. He's like, okay. He's like, all right,
Starting point is 01:53:16 we're fighting now. He's not a bad fist fighter. Oh, the live odds only a bow bow of minus 345. I think that that is probably correct. Yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 01:53:25 given where we started. Those lines say, that line says it's 19, 19 in most people's eyes. Exactly. Which is, I think, the correct score. No. So some people mentioned this in the chat and, uh, mowing over.
Starting point is 01:53:43 How are we feeling about, obviously, Bose talked a lot about Hamzat. How are you thinking about Bo versus Hamzat based on what we're seeing right now? Hamzaa would absolutely. Hamzaa might actually pick him up and swallow him. Kind of feels like Boe might want to get a little more seasoning before we get into that. Yeah, but at least Bo this week has said, like he's, like he's got a lot more work to do to catch up to Hamza. He does.
Starting point is 01:54:05 I think he's learning after seeing what Hamzaa did, Dwarad de Warwick Gar. I think we all have, at least from this fight, and Bo's doing, like, doing enough to try to, I guess,
Starting point is 01:54:16 win and not lose. He's working things out. Oh, good right hand from Bo right out. Good shot. That's the thing. Like, I've said this a bunch over the history of this sport.
Starting point is 01:54:26 Like, he's so early into his career. You just can't expect that's unbelievable performance. Daniel Cormick He's also not like 10 fights Yeah Bo is also like
Starting point is 01:54:37 Not 24 He's almost 30 So like Yeah he's kind of kind of move a little bit Especially being an 85er And he's not a he's not a big 85er He is not looking at this fight He is very clearly not a big 85er
Starting point is 01:54:52 Like there are there aren't a lot of ranked middleweights That I would pick Bo to beat right now No There are a couple Like if he fought Kyle Bahlia I think Kyle Bahlia would She's absolutely smushed. It runs him over.
Starting point is 01:55:04 Yeah. I don't think it's competitive. Now Bo's having some fun when you could fight instead of doing whatever this is. That's not going to do anything for him. That's the thing is, that's not a good luck for- This is not the type of performance to do that. You can't showbo when you're in a razor-close fight. You could be down two rounds here.
Starting point is 01:55:20 It is possible that a judge has you down to. You got a fist fight because this round is, I mean, not a ton has happened through 90 seconds. I'll tell you, Paul Craig's body kick game. very useful he's not throwing enough leg kicks those are land those are so effective in the first he really doesn't want to do it in the open stance he wants to do it to the outside to outside it's a little harder for him here but just just the kicking game just useful constant score even if booneckle's getting elbows down it still sucks and the boo birds i mean they are loud where's our trump cam show us how trump feels about boone nickel do we think he thinks about boon nickel do we
Starting point is 01:56:05 think he's very excited. Trump went to the bathroom. Trump might be asleep. All right. Okay, a little left hand there from Bo. That was okay. Paul, this fight is in your grasp, buddy. You can win this one.
Starting point is 01:56:17 Let's do it. I would lose money, but it would be quite fun. And I'm okay losing money if it's fun. Come on. Put the pedal down, Paul. You think Paul was like expecting Boe to try to tackle him more? I think so. Let's get Braveheart in here, buddy.
Starting point is 01:56:32 Come on. You got two minutes. It's right there. Oh, good left hand from Bo. That's a good little weapon. That got a big reaction out of Craig, actually. Craig is now backed up against the fence. Craig might be a little stunned from that.
Starting point is 01:56:45 He's keeping that right hand very high, and he is all the way up against the fence now. I think that hurt him. I think Craig's playing a little poker face here, but. Oh, and he's bleeding a little too, and Bo's just not punching. He's doing the Jonathan Martinez. Yeah, Bo's got him right up against the fence
Starting point is 01:57:02 and just not leveling a shot in. And now Craig punches his way off the fence. Another left hand, left to the body from Bo. Man, Bo, come on. Pay off my knockout bet. If you're going to win, do it in a way that I benefit from. It's more fun if you lose. Selfish.
Starting point is 01:57:22 I know, right? Come on. Good little check there from Paulie. Yeah, Paul has checked, I think, almost every kick that Bo Nichols thrown. Really tagging that left. Good high kick. it's still in his grasp Paul can still win this thing
Starting point is 01:57:41 it's right there you gotta do something though just a crowd is hating I mean yeah as they should I mean a nickel I genuinely believe hurt Craig there
Starting point is 01:57:53 and 10 8 it's right there he's landed 10 strikes his round because he's just not doing enough yeah he's probably going to win the decision but Paul's 50 seconds if he lands one big shot he could steal this thing
Starting point is 01:58:06 Especially because truly that second round could still have gone to Craig on sport card. It's very close. This is just not the performance people anticipate. Certainly not the performance I was anticipating. Credit to Paul Craig for clearly making this a tough fight on Boehnickle. But 30 seconds. And Craig's now feeling himself. Craig's talking.
Starting point is 01:58:28 Craig's talking to him. But they're both talking. They're both talking. Overrated chance? Wow. That is tough. in front of your crowd. So we are clear for 20 seconds,
Starting point is 01:58:40 neither man has thrown a thing and they are kind of just talking to each other. I've never heard an overrated chant. That feels like a pro wrestling thing. Good left hand, Bo heard him. Oh, Craig with all the same right back. And not a... Bo, Bo, you can't celebrate.
Starting point is 01:58:58 There's just a weak performance. Oh, 10-9 nickel. And he does a golf swing. Why? I feel like Bo Nickle should make Maybe he might lose this fight. Like it is in the realm of possibility that he loses. Also, no, when they are chanting overrated, you don't do a celebration.
Starting point is 01:59:17 Now he's Trump. He's like Donald Trump. I thought you were better, Bo. Sorry. Thought you were better. Thought you were better. You didn't really make it great again, Bo. It's not really what we want here.
Starting point is 01:59:28 When Colby was your age, he was a terrific fighter. One of the best. The interim champion. One of the best. A beautiful belt. One of the best. Bo, you just, you're not quite there. Go back to the lab.
Starting point is 01:59:41 Work a little bit harder. Just look at me. I lost an election, then won another election. I came for excitement. This wasn't, this wasn't it? Plus your golf swing needs work. Look at RFK. He's just like,
Starting point is 01:59:53 RFK is bored to tears. Stop talking to him. Bored to tears about this. He'll learn. I mean, he's probably still going to win. I do have a 29-28 nickel, but it is. You and I have been on the same.
Starting point is 02:00:06 You and I have been on the same page with Bo the entire time. This dude needs to fight three times. Fight like eight times, man. Just fight a bunch. This whole I'm not in any rush needs to go away. You need to fight three times next year. You can not be in a rush to fight ranked guys, but just fight like a bunch of dudes from contender series. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:24 Like the worst contender series signings at middleweight, just run through them for a year. Let's get going. You know? Like the Cody Brunches of the world, like those are the dudes you should be fighting. Yes. This is definitely the Man, we are The brakes are fully engaged
Starting point is 02:00:41 To slow down the bone-necker hype train It's not Yeah, it's tough Overrated is true though For as much trash as he talks So in general, yes We weren't saying it's not We were saying I've never heard a crowd chant
Starting point is 02:00:58 That at an MMA fighter before Yeah That is Yeah, I don't I've never heard that. Overrated champ is crazy. I'm, crowd's still booing.
Starting point is 02:01:16 This would be so funny if Paul Craig wins. I would love that a lot. All three judges. 3027. Garbage. Absolute garbage. 3027 is garbage. I mean, whatever.
Starting point is 02:01:38 Yeah, that's, uh... 3027 feels a lot like we're confirming priors. This is, that, that is like the, that's one of the worst, like, age 30, 27 sweep, scorecard sweeps, maybe in UFC history right there. I'm ripping Sheen-Elshoddy in our group chat now. Right now is he's trying to tell me that Bo Nichols great. Bro, keep your same fucking energy. I dare, yeah, dare to be great, baby. Like, no, you didn't.
Starting point is 02:02:22 You are, oh, Bo Neckle, you are all my, I hate you now. I true, like add you to the list of people who can. You've gone to, you've gone to Joaquin Buckley territory. Crowd wants to see blood. I thought it was an amazing performance. Amazing performance. The crowd wants to see blood because you said you were going to kill this dude
Starting point is 02:02:41 and you tepidly won a decision. Is he comparing himself to, did he just compare himself to John Jones? He did. You're right, Bo-Nichol. Paul Craig has won a bunch of fights. Where was that energy in the pre-fight? Or was like,
Starting point is 02:02:58 I'm just excited to fight a veteran. He's really tough. You're like, I'm going to kill this dude. You didn't. You didn't kill him. Keep your same energy, man. It's the only thing I request the fighters. Just don't lie to me.
Starting point is 02:03:09 Don't be full of shit. Oh, Kate Hudson. I don't know how old Kate Hudson is, but she looks phenomenal. John Annick said that Kate Hudson was booing bow nickel. So I should be. There's cool, of Corey Sanhagan. There's text. This Corey Sandhagan.
Starting point is 02:03:24 Hey. Hey. Roweewee. Jewie Wies. gee-wee-wees man I Carl Anthony Towns I mean they got everybody here
Starting point is 02:03:34 Jesus you want to be J-check all right that's terrific I've been looking for a new fighter to hate
Starting point is 02:03:40 and I'm happy to add to go to the list Stepe is going to retire I can no longer hate Stepe particularly if he wins I really can't hate him Steve
Starting point is 02:03:48 is going to fire I'm catching up on our fantasy chat it's terrific we're doing great in there he's amazing it was an amazing great performance
Starting point is 02:03:58 It was a great for it. It was awful. It was, yeah. It was terrible. When the crowd is booing, you can't. He got the first overrated chant in UFC history. You can't ever yell at the crowd for booing you. Like, you just can't because the crowd are the people you're trying.
Starting point is 02:04:16 You can't be like, you guys are idiots. This isn't the WWE. You're not going to get over that way. She's like, I thought that was an amazing. No, you didn't. You landed 20 punches. Come on, man. Just be real.
Starting point is 02:04:26 It's okay. You could just come out and be like, That dude was a lot tougher than I thought. Like I was talking a lot of shit. Paul Craig credit to him. I still got the dub, but tough fight. But guess what? There's only one, there's only one medicine, one prescription that can heal us from a bow-knickle fight.
Starting point is 02:04:46 Ain't nobody going to boo this shit. And it's Charles Freaking Oliveira versus Michael Chandler. It is happening. And I don't, I'm just very, I'm just very, I'm, so ready for this. We need it because right, if we had the Korean Silva Viviani Arrujo was five trillion times better
Starting point is 02:05:06 than that fight. I need the vibe. We got to get the vibes meter because the vibes would be low. They are no longer immaculate. The vibes are low. The vibes meter would have fallen on the floor. Vives are over here. I would have to pick it up from here. Rock bottom. Yeah. But I thought it was an amazing performance.
Starting point is 02:05:21 That should come on. I ever want. It's just not lie. Tough. They want they want blood. You guys are stupid for thinking I'm boring. Sick. Great, great argument.
Starting point is 02:05:33 Yeah, you can't demand to be a, maybe chuck him on a prelim. Yeah, what's the worst thing in the world? Yes. Stop putting them on pay-per-views. He doesn't deserve it.
Starting point is 02:05:44 Throw him in the apex. Send his ass to the apex. They're all the world's most famous apex. Because there ain't nobody there. He needs to be booked to fight by February. I mean, he needs to be booked to fight by, January 1.
Starting point is 02:05:58 He needs to put pen to paper before Thanksgiving. Yeah, let's get him, just get him out there. Anybody, doesn't matter. It's just too much, like, seven months between fights, and then before that he was out for how long? Oh.
Starting point is 02:06:15 It was a while. Before 300? Yeah, it was a wild, but I don't remember when. Was it like 285? Was he out for like a year? It couldn't have been a whole year. I think that would have been high. But you know what?
Starting point is 02:06:25 There's an answer to this. Or was it by, yeah, we got tapology. Got topology. Val Woodburn was when? It was almost a full year because it was 290. 290. July of 2023 prior to this. And then prior to that, prior to that, it was March to July.
Starting point is 02:06:44 And then that was his UFC debut. So March to July were his first two UFCs. And then he had, you know. So it was what, Jamie Pickett, Val Woodberg. Cody Brundage and then Paul Craig Cody Brundage was a while Yeah and there were whole There are glaring holes in that fight
Starting point is 02:07:04 That performance as well Yeah It's gonna be interesting On to the next one is gonna be By the way we're doing on to the next one At noon tomorrow No noon Eastern so a little bit of a later start time Which is good
Starting point is 02:07:18 Because I really have to think about Who to throw Bow in there with next I'm gonna state my claim now And this isn't just because Bo is a officially joined the list of fighters I hate. But he has. Congratulations. It's a great list of fighters.
Starting point is 02:07:32 Honestly, it's fitting given who else is competing on this card that we add a new fighter I hate because like half of them are fighting tonight. There's one of them right there. There's one of them. There are two of them in the main event. But I am now officially going to go onto the Booneckle will never be a UFC champion. That's my new take.
Starting point is 02:07:50 And I'm sticking on to it. He's old already. He's like, what, 28? How old is he? Is he 28 or 29? 28 in January So he's pretty much 29
Starting point is 02:08:01 Yeah And so he's already starting a little older You know I'm sure I'm certain he will get ranked He may well fight for a belt But he needs to make like a giant leap And like a giant stride He is not
Starting point is 02:08:14 Taking to MMA as quickly as we wanted him to We got to win over a guy Respect him good fighter He's making money And but that That was a performance which showed me both. He is very, very limited on the feet. He just doesn't have a ton of ideas there.
Starting point is 02:08:35 Natural power, but he needs a lot of work there. He's a very good athlete. And if he's fighting a fight where he doesn't want to engage in his A plus skill, obviously, then he is in a much worse way. Tough loss for Craig, but knowing Craig is amongst the elites and height at Biddleway will make me sleep better. who are mad mad well played the fourth tallest middleweight in the ufc that is a church oh my god i wish they would do that for all of them do something very silly like that michael chanler is like
Starting point is 02:09:06 the third shortest lightweight that i mean just give me that all the time has the fifth shortest reach of of active ufc lightweights or just be like give me those very very silly things there's there he is jed how we feel and first time in two years we're watching michael chanel with full beard What? You're a muffler. You don't hear it? Oh, I don't even notice it. I usually drown it out with the radio.
Starting point is 02:09:29 How's this? Oh, yeah. Way better. Save on insurance by switching to Bel Air Direct and use the money to fix your car. Bell Air Direct, insurance, simplified. Conditions apply. And Donald Trump is sitting right there.
Starting point is 02:09:41 I'm dreading. I'm absolutely dreading this fight, Mike. I don't know. You have a bet on Michael Chandler. I bet on Michael Chandler. I bet on Michael Chandler for two reasons. One, emotional hedge. I strongly recommend the emotional hedge.
Starting point is 02:09:53 You never do it against your own team. That's always been my principal. Like I'm never going to bet against my team because I don't want to put that juju out there. I just want to ride or die with my Georgia Bulldogs, right? I will absolutely emotional hedge against things I hate because then if Michael Chandler wins, a lot of me is going to hate it. But I'll have made plus 220 or whatever the price I got him at.
Starting point is 02:10:19 I think it was like 225 maybe. It's on the screen. And so then that's delightful. Also, I think objectively there is a ton of value on this line. I know Michael Chandler hasn't fought in two years. Charles Oliver fought this year arguably beat your boy. Robbie Lawler in Michael Chandler's corner. That's a shame.
Starting point is 02:10:38 I hate to see Robbie falling down my favorite fighter ranks. But there you go. But like I think Michael Chandler has the ability to win this fight. I think this fight is close to a coin flip even given how the first. first one went because again Michael Chandler was about that far from winning the UFC lightweight title fight IQ costume
Starting point is 02:10:59 it wasn't the best and so maybe he's taking this time off he's gotten a little smarter I doubt it because he's he out there be tweeting but uh hasn't won since the Ferguson fight right yeah well he only has two wins in the UFC and it is Tony and Dan
Starting point is 02:11:17 and Dan and look there are all some wins but um Tony's has not aged well. Dan Hooker has aged a little better. Garrett, I want to be very clear. Lawler's only catching strays because of who he's associating with, i.e. Michael Chandler. I love Robbie Lawler. Robbie Lawler is, for my money, the second most exciting fighter in the history of the sport.
Starting point is 02:11:40 So I got a lot of respect for him, just a little bit less because he's hanging out of Michael Chandler. Ah, Somersault. I mean, I will say this. For being almost four years old, Michael Chandler is. an unbelievable that dude is shizzled of stone he just looks like a pile of cobblestones
Starting point is 02:12:00 put together in there by the way Michael Chandler a fighter who is tremendously interested in swing rounds I we've talked about it and it will be a tough it will be tough for me to go because I I stand by the keep your same energy and I
Starting point is 02:12:15 have to be like I hate you like I won't come out and say it to him unless he asked, because, you know, that's rude to just go up to people. I feel like I hate you. I assume so. There's so much footage of me saying I hate him and he sucks. But at least now I can be like, I did pick you to beat Charles Olivera. I still hate you.
Starting point is 02:12:38 And speaking of Charles Oliver, here he comes to a, just a ruckus ovation. People just love this guy. And rightfully so. He's incredible. He's the fourth most exciting fighter in history. Like he's right there. He's in the mile rush more of excitement. Like just unbelievable.
Starting point is 02:12:56 His late career, not even late career, like mid-career Renaissance to be the lightweight champion. People were outrageously, mind you, but people were legitimately like, is he the lightweight go? It was like,
Starting point is 02:13:06 no. Why? Why are we having the, what do you talk? Like, yes, it's a great run, but like,
Starting point is 02:13:11 there's a difference for having a good run and being the greatest. But like, unbelievable dude. If he had beat his Lamakachev, that conversation gets, the conversation actually,
Starting point is 02:13:21 gets like is actually a legitimate okay we can now start talking about it i still wouldn't say no but at least that's a conversation uh but people were like i think he might be and i on our ranking show one time i went as i did my lightweight great rankings and charles olivera as great as he is i think i have as like the fifth best like wait ever we did that with dur a lot of dudes we did that der what the benson hendish in an episode yeah maybe that was it was something but it's just like it's hard to figure out because there are so many good lightweights historically. Like even Frankie Edgar, who was like never should have been a lightweight. Frankie should probably in the top 10 of the greatest lightweighs of all the time.
Starting point is 02:14:00 He's definitely in the top 10. Bindo, Charles Olivera, Habib, BJ, uh, Islam, who I think is probably already the third. Porreys on that list. Uh, Gae. Like, there's so many good freaking lightweights historically. Oh, yeah. Like I think Charles is the top five guy, but. There is.
Starting point is 02:14:19 look at all the respects you hug him and then you choke him get that energy from Robbie Loller he did he got Robbie's energy sorry Mike absorb the Robbie and I feel so much better over my Olivera by KOTKO bet now at plus 225
Starting point is 02:14:35 Chandler is going to throw the most loaded up right hand you've ever seen like this thing is going to come from his ankle and just launch as hard as he can into him or do you think he just goes right and takes it down don't do that. That would be very silly.
Starting point is 02:14:52 Punch him in the head and then take him down and then punch him in the head again. I think Chandler can do very well on that if he wrestles. And a lot of people are like, oh, well, Charles is most submission.
Starting point is 02:15:02 Charles is not good off his back. He is much, much less dangerous off his back than people. Paul Felder did it. People give that, because that was when he was in his ride, I wrote about like his rise and championship.
Starting point is 02:15:14 I wrote about like he had hacked the sport because no one wanted to go to the guard because he had a reputation like Verdum did. Can't go to the, guard he'll kill me there when actually plenty of people have had plenty of success doing that and by not going to the guard when you knock him down it just lets him get functionally a standing 10 count yeah like in boxing like okay i'll get myself back and every time he knocks you down he will murder you if you is an absolute smasher look at the there's no flexibility on this young man there's no escape when charles
Starting point is 02:15:42 get you once he gets you you're done unless your arm and surrogate and then you just battle good for michael chanler to finally fight again as opposed to holding on to a dream that will never. It's not even a dream deferred, ladies and gentlemen. It's a dream canceled that will never live. We talked about it last night. Dana coming out and saying, I think Connor's going to fight in the latter half of 2025.
Starting point is 02:16:08 Like, yeah, you ain't fighting. Yeah. We're just, man, it didn't happen. He'll be fighting in BKFC before he fights in the UFC. They might just like let him go get out of his way. You just like, here. We'll pay $10 million to let me go fight and BKFC. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 02:16:22 Like, they truly and utterly do not need that, man. They don't need them. They don't need anybody now. Yeah, they don't need anybody. But they certainly don't need Connemagra. Particularly now that their friends are going to be in office, they're fine. The amount of regulation that exists in the sport is going to completely fall apart. There's not going to be any of it now.
Starting point is 02:16:44 The number seven ranked lightweight in the world. That is a thing. Jedmishu's favorite fighter. He is the number of Iron Michael Chandler. He has two wins. He has two wins in this promotion. One is over Tony, Nick and Ferguson, and he's the number seven. Wait.
Starting point is 02:17:01 Is he two and three? Correct. Look, they've all been really fun. Credit to him, because a lot of my Michael Chandler sucks was Michael Chandler and Bellator was effective and boring as hell mostly. He is, he knows, he understands the assignment. He is part of the best Bellator fight of all time. He is. I mean, that one, two with Eddie is unbelievable.
Starting point is 02:17:22 But he has become like, he has just put all of his. points into I'm going to be exciting as hell. And that's smart, genuinely smart. I would never say don't tune into a Chandler fight. I'm just saying he sucks and I hope he loses. But I hope he doesn't because I have a plus, you know, 215 bet on him or whatever. All of there are definitely the fan favorite at MSC.
Starting point is 02:17:47 Is Chandler losing if he lost? Do you think that's going to affect Conner's appetite? Should Connor fight again, which we know he won't? But let's say in a fantasy world where Connor does fight again, Do you think he's less interested in fighting Chandler? Chandler loses? Also, Chandler's hair looks a little darker. I think he might be on that row game plan there.
Starting point is 02:18:06 Hey, like, you know? I'm not judging. Do what you got to do. What you got to do? But it is darker. His hair is looking darker than I recall it. But maybe it's just I haven't seen him fight in four years. Oh, here we go.
Starting point is 02:18:18 450, 49, 48. Do you imagine Bolivar just dusted him with the first punch he landed? Yeah, be sick. Jumping knee. Pah, pow. Why, Chandler, you throw that right hand from your ankle. Let's see if it gets going. He's got the Mike Tyson.
Starting point is 02:18:35 Like kick from Olivera, right hand from Olivera. I don't care for Olivera's specialty shorts. And Chandler's are not even special. They are just black UFC shorts. With the Monster Enduring logo on it. If you look real close, there's a flag, but you can't really see it. Oliveira's are way cooler. They are cooler.
Starting point is 02:18:53 I still don't. This is just not enough. It's something better. He always wears those like monochromatic suits. Just give him like something along those. I don't know. Not a lot's happening through the first minute here, y'all. Chandler threw a jab.
Starting point is 02:19:08 Chandler's trying to remember what fighting is like. It's been so long since he's done it. Elon Musk talking to Donald Trump. I could take him. I could beat Charles a little very much. A big bag of milk, dork. What happened? I don't know.
Starting point is 02:19:28 I mean, Charles is just holding the center very tall. Oh, good right hand for all there. My dad is Chandler is not. doing a ton right now. Oh, Charles shoots a take down. He got him. Oh, but Chandler. He's on the single Chandler, Chandler wrestling.
Starting point is 02:19:42 Chandler cheating his ass off. That was a cheat. Oh, and a pretty sick Grammy roll, though. I will say he cheated his ass off by grabbing the top of the fence, but he had a sick little roll through that Charles stayed with him. He grabbed the bottom of the fence too during the roll. This is, uh, honestly a position I don't know if I've ever seen in the UFC. Charles is just sitting full on Chandler's chest.
Starting point is 02:20:01 It doesn't seem great for Michael Chandler right now. I mean, of an open-ended spot. If he clears the leg, he's sort of just in a leg entanglement. I mean, it's not good to be here functionally, but there's not a lot Oliver could do here either. Michael's just holding both. Michael's got a two-on-one-one and is because Oliver's right arm is stuck in Michael Chandler's leg and his left arm is two-on-one.
Starting point is 02:20:22 So this is kind of a stalemate. Now he's got the arm free. I'm free, but it's still a two-on-one. This is just going to kind of, don't punch him. Just hold the arm. Yeah, that's not smart, Michael. They just sit here and wait for a stalemate call. drop a couple elbows
Starting point is 02:20:36 get the 12 I don't know I feel like Charles would get that right arm out I probably the gloves make it a lot harder than you think yeah
Starting point is 02:20:45 but he probably could the question I'm organ says is he going to just try and step that left leg over into a more traditional top half no no
Starting point is 02:20:58 Chandler just holding posture break here is olivera is still sliding ish through olivera can keep he can walk that that leg up. Yeah. See Chathler's leg is starting to like kind of shake a little bit.
Starting point is 02:21:14 And Oliver can just keep walking this up and basically walk right into side control if he wants to. Daniel, if you believe that Michael Chandler can take the back of Oliver here, I have a bridge to sell you. Because that, you are technically correct theoretically. You are functionally not at all correct in what can happen in this position. Short little shots from Oliver as you remains on top, trying to push that. knee down to pass. Chandler's looking for a stand-up. Now he's getting a tripod to try and break knee through and step in.
Starting point is 02:21:49 Chandler has to break the foot down. This is a real wonky position. Yeah, it's weird. Fence grab, like right in front of the camera. Still, yep. Blatantly doing it. Let's see if he grabs it again. Bolivar just burying his forehead in Chandler's draw.
Starting point is 02:22:06 I mean, might as well. They're not calling anything. I think he's going to get this leg out now. He's got double unders So he should have good leverage If he tripods up Chandler and effectually punching This is a very very weird position
Starting point is 02:22:22 Yeah I truly you could This is not a round I expected to see from these two gentlemen But uh weird I feel like we honestly should get more of this round Oh Chandler going for a lockdown On that open leg
Starting point is 02:22:36 To just fully tie up in a bad position That he won't get stood up out of Charles with a shoulder strike What a weird round Chandler getting warned again about getting the fingers out of the cage. Another warning from Keith Peterson. Michael Chandler is an inveterate cheater. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:22:54 Like, Porier being like, I bid him because he kept fish hooking me. He continuously cheated and so I bit him. Like, okay, that's pretty fun. 10-9 Olivera. I mean, this. Unless something amazing happens in the last two seconds. That was a round. That was certainly around.
Starting point is 02:23:12 That is one of those rounds that I would prefer we scored a 10-10 because nobody did. anything, but per the scoring criteria, 10-9, Olavera. Kaboom. Oh, look at that. That was beautiful. Right there. We could see it. We found the sweet spot.
Starting point is 02:23:30 You found the sweet spot? Good job. Joseph Bozai, I don't, you just can't score that around for Michael Chandler. He's joking. He's definitely. I hope so. He's having, Joseph's having a good time. Hey, we love having a good time.
Starting point is 02:23:45 We're very supportive of good times here. Yeah. Hey, Kay, do they train that position? Not really, buddy. Like, Robbie Lawler is just like, yeah, I got nothing for you. Just stay there. That's one of those, like, if you're out grappling, you will wind up in weird positions. And then it's usually just like, okay, let's see what happens.
Starting point is 02:24:08 Whoever's a natural scrambler can maybe make something, but Chandler's never going to win a scramble against Oliver. Particularly not when he's giving up spots like that. This dude actually kicked Chandler to knock someone out in round one, let alone. I don't hate that pick. Let alone Doe Bronx, buddy, we love Charles Olivera. I picked. Look at Charles Oliverer's record. Well, Michael,
Starting point is 02:24:33 every loss he has, save the Armand one, is him getting got. The man, when he loses, it's brutal. Michael Chandler almost. And Michael Chandler. Michael Chandler didn't try to grapple with Charles Oliverer after he almost killed him. Probably would have been a lightweight title and would have got a knockout in round one. Michael Chandler hits real hard. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:24:53 And again, this is a pro-Charles-Olivera group right here. And a deeply anti-Michael Chandler guy. I want to put that ju-jure on Mike, deeply anti-Michael Chandler. Michael Chandler is very capable of first round. Oh! Oh, he got him. Oh, he's a big trouble. We're done.
Starting point is 02:25:15 This is going to be the end. But Chandler's an excellent cheater. He doesn't to grab the fence. I think he might not be that hurt, but he certainly got hit a little bit. bit and as he was running away, stumbled and oh, that right in, He's hurting. He is full on sprinting away and now he's laughing because he knows he's cooked. And he knows he's so hurt.
Starting point is 02:25:33 This is just going to be a repeat, Keo at the start of round two again. We're just going to do this again. Oh, man. Chuckie olives, baby. This is where I get sad because Chandler is going to launch a desperate bomb. Chandler has, Chandler one million percent has to stay on his feet here. If he gets hit and gets dropped, he's that right hand is just coming directly over the non-guard. The Chandler has as his left hand stays by his hip.
Starting point is 02:26:02 Good leg kick for him. Right hand's coming again. That needs more of that. Say the right hand is coming again, man. Put your left hand up, kid. Oh, head kick from Olivera. Why is your left? His even, even when he is guarding his left hand is dropping.
Starting point is 02:26:15 It just natural. Oh, big knee from Olivera. All right, Chandler, just brawl him. See you all this. Oh, good shot from Chandler. Oh, big left hook from Chandler. He just missed that one. All right, we're getting a little scrappy, a little scrappy do in here.
Starting point is 02:26:35 Chaos energy, baby. Let's go. Oh, Charles. Another take down from that. And he finished that. He's got a mounted. I mean, this is the, this is curtains. We're done here.
Starting point is 02:26:47 It's real bad for Chandler. Chandler has no chance from here now. I got to see half a round plus. I need to see that replay again. Because like Chandler had a deep underhook. and was getting a shove back and then Oliver just kind of powered over the top of it I don't know I'm not sure how that finished but that was sick
Starting point is 02:27:05 over one and a half hits if you I mean yeah we are we are in the goal we are in the full mount and like I just deeply do not believe Michael Chandler's going to get out of this position and Michael Chandler grabs the fence as Keith Peterson take a point I mean he should grab the fence as hard as he's ever grabbed
Starting point is 02:27:25 just take the point. Or just launch myself with the fence. He just grabbed it again. I would also be pulling Charles Oliver's hair. Yeah, do it all. Fish hook him. Oil check him. Who cares?
Starting point is 02:27:38 Yeah, do anything he can. He's mounted. Because this is bad, like. One of the most prolific finishers ever. You're just done here, son. Oh. Oh, that's a nasty elbow. Oh, another one.
Starting point is 02:27:50 He's a little high. You could theoretically buck him now. He's trying to reset. He got his hips back down. Oliver doing really good with the head position, just putting the top of his head right under Chandler's jaw, making him wear it. Not nearly as violent of the top effort as I thought from Chuckie Olives here.
Starting point is 02:28:08 Another elbow. I thought this would be stone curtains, but he's taking his time. He's being very patient here. Another elbow's coming. Oh, don't do this. Don't be a silly goose. That's not smart.
Starting point is 02:28:24 There's, oh. This is where Oliver should be popping them 12 to 6s, baby. I thought he was just about to do that. Chandler's, well, tiny cut on the top of the forehead. Charles's not doing much with that top position. Gentlemen, I don't think you've ever watched a fist fight if you think Charles isn't doing much of this top position. He's only landed a dozen elbows.
Starting point is 02:28:48 He's just battered the soul right out of Michael Chandler. Oh, there you go. There's a 12-6. And apparently John Annie was saying that his coach, reminded him about the 126 and he immediately goes to it. And he throws it. I think a 126
Starting point is 02:29:07 just grabbed the shit out of that cage. He didn't. He didn't though. He should have. He should have been a full. I can leverage over with this. Chandler is going to survive this. Now,
Starting point is 02:29:19 now Oliver, you could go for that finishing arm bar. He's not going to. Big round for Charles. A little round. Big, big old round. This is 108? Easily a 10.
Starting point is 02:29:30 Yeah. 10. I don't think that should be a knockdown and then I don't think that should be up for three minutes. I don't think that should be remotely up for debate. I don't think it's a knockdown. I mean, he hit him and he fell over. I'm still going 10-8.
Starting point is 02:29:46 It doesn't matter. 10-9. No, there. Knockdown or no. He clearly had a significant impact on his. Yeah, like he finishes basically an overhook toss after Chandler gets a deep underhook and tries to pivot out on the run through. Oliver just steps again over and just kind of carries that muscle down.
Starting point is 02:30:06 That was pimping. Michael Chandler, are we going to see you at the top? I don't hate a 10-8 there. Are you going to walk on? What are we going to? Credit to Michael Chandler, he appears to be in phenomenal shape. Yes. He is not breathing heavy despite having his ass beat that round.
Starting point is 02:30:23 He's daring to be great, Jen. He's not. He's not. No one has ever dared to be great. You know this is coming. Oliver wins, right? That is coming from Michael. Oh, I mean, for sure.
Starting point is 02:30:37 And I respect that. Except for this is the round where Michael Chandler is going to hurt him now. And all the sadness will come. Michael's getting those feet all dry. So he can launch into a big right hand. Charles Oliver just repeatedly taking Chandler down was not on my bingo card for tonight.
Starting point is 02:30:53 And Charles coming out acting like this is the final round. I hope he remembers this is the five-rounder. Well, maybe it is the final round because he's going to make it. the five. Oh, fair. It's like, I'm not fighting five. I refuse. I mean, Michael Chandler's got Charles back against the fence now. We have not had a finish on this main card yet. Oliver should not be so happy to get back to the fence. Good front kick, though. Yep. Oh, Chandler left hand, just misses. Chandler also doesn't have a ton of ideas. Oh, Oliver trying for another takedown. I mean, I think Oliver has correctly determined that if this fight goes to
Starting point is 02:31:34 the floor, he has just a monstrous advantage. Yeah. He also. Good right hand from Olovera. Yeah, yeah. He's thumping up, Chandler. He's beating him in all phases of the game, but Chandler does have a big cut. Oh, big upper cuts of Oliver.
Starting point is 02:31:48 Good left hand for Chandler. Chandler just swinging against the fence now. Oliver is in hunting range. Chandler's hands are on his hips, which is a good choice. Oh, did Chandler hear his leg? I don't know. He's just running away on the fence. Good.
Starting point is 02:32:02 Step and elbow from Charles Olivera. That was nice. Light kick from Oliveira. Chuckie. Get him, Chuckie. Oh, nasty upper car. Oh, now Chandler's going for the iPod.
Starting point is 02:32:15 Oh, jumping deep for a blatant finger out effort from Chandler to get. Oh, good right hand, though. Oliver just putting the wood to him. Yeah. Lay in the lumber. Let's go. Oh. Oh, he swung and missed.
Starting point is 02:32:32 Oh, big knee. Big elbow. Oh. Oh, Chandler is. Not in a great place right now. And now the double leg. Chandler, you are supposed to be a wrestler and he is cooking you in this phase. This is crazy.
Starting point is 02:32:45 You should cheat and hold that. He is. He is. He needs to cheat more because he's going for a ride now. And now he's going to take his back. Wrestle position up on fours. Oh boy. And you didn't even block.
Starting point is 02:32:55 You didn't block that entry. Wow. This I think it's over. I think we're probably close to the finish here. This is. This was not competitive at all. Not remotely. Oliver got the body lock in.
Starting point is 02:33:11 Chandler just fighting hands. Chandler, I mean, there's not even really a lot of a world for Chandler to move this position. Oliver should probably just transition to full amount and start just unloading shots on him. But it's getting close to that choke. Maybe he's got a transition. And you just hold this until he finds a choke. Thank you, Joe. This is a terrible position for Chandler.
Starting point is 02:33:34 Joe, expertly elucidating the clear and obvious. Chandler holding them gloves, which Oliver is telling Keith Peterson needs to take a point. He's trying to turn him over to belly down with the body lock. Can't quite get over the knee. Chandler's trying to grab the fence again. Oh, those elbows. Oh, because he could 12. 8, do you get 12 six them?
Starting point is 02:33:59 I can. Chandler saying back of the head, it's not. I mean, he games assist him, baby. He's doing what he can. He's very good at it. Oh, I'm really glad that I don't have to watch. Michael Chandler win a fist fight and then go talk to Donald Trump afterwards. Well, I mean, he's oh.
Starting point is 02:34:17 I mean, I guess this fight is not technically over yet, but the live odds. What a miserable experience this must be for him though. Hey, he's got 90 more seconds. He's got 90 more seconds. Yeah, he's made it further. He's made it further. And also this kind of performance makes me think that if Connor were to magically decide to fight again, well.
Starting point is 02:34:37 That's what I'm thinking. Maybe this was him sandbagging the whole time. He just wanted to see what he was up against. I just want to fight and I want to show Connor, you don't have to be afraid of me with a broken toe. I am so beatable. Let's fist fight. Connor's got to like tweet out about it.
Starting point is 02:34:52 So we'll know, we'll know his thoughts. I'm, Connor's definitely going to tweet about this. Or Michael Chandler's going to survive this round and then finish Charles Oliver in the fourth. Connor Chandler should absolutely, Connor McGregor should absolutely not fight Charles Lavera.
Starting point is 02:35:07 No, that's for sure. Super not. Super don't do that. That'd be a very bad idea. He shouldn't fight any. Oh, there's the choke. Oh, he's across the chin, but we've seen the squeeze work there. Oh, Chandler survives.
Starting point is 02:35:20 They're digging, digging deep. Oliver now trying to pivot to the mount. Oh, he just, he wanted to see if Chandler would react to it. He's back to both hooks. This is actually a pretty good defensive spot for Chandler right here, leaning against defense. He's going to see round four. I think he sure looks like he's going to make it out of the round.
Starting point is 02:35:40 And thankfully, Charles Oliverer has. made it so I don't have to rewrite the score. Yeah, this is definitely, that is definitely a technical. Michael Chandler landed zero strikes this round. So Casey, if you could go ahead and put a 10-8 on the board for Charles Olivera as well.
Starting point is 02:35:55 Yeah, 10-8 for me, for Olivera. That's, I mean, that is as one-way traffic as you get. We've got that kind of a little super chat here with a, I'm interested to see your take on this this thought from our friend, Lockland Murdoch. Big Michael Chandler fan.
Starting point is 02:36:11 Michael Chandler is awful and I legitimately think McGregor would have won in his current condition. I mean. I mean, my thoughts on Michael Chandler are pretty clear. Yeah. I said the many times tonight all over our podcast and YouTube network. I think I always thought McGregor had a real chance. I always really good. It was a decent amount of matchup for Connor.
Starting point is 02:36:35 Because both men could win. If I think Chandler, like we saw with Bo Nicol in the last fight, Chandler's not trying to shoot takedowns, which is genuinely a very important part of his game. I think he would definitely be doing that against Connor, so more of an opportunity. But I do, Connor can beat almost anybody in the first round. He is a glass cannon, but he's a very dangerous glass cannon for five minutes. And so he could absolutely, absolutely beat Michael Chandler. And round four.
Starting point is 02:37:07 Michael Chandler is still in this fight, technically. Yes. He eats a head, kick. early immediately Charles Oliver just shoots into his hips and runs him to the back of the fence good left hand from Chandler I mean Chandler just has to throw everything he can into a punch to get some respect yeah Oliver check out there is walking him down and then just going to force grappling and Chandler has defended no takedowns today and as John Anick is pointing out Chandler does appear to be in great shape Oliver at the big right hand just drawed him again
Starting point is 02:37:48 Oh, Chandler, good left from Chandler. Oh, no. Oliver is just walking a big knee. Oh, good right. Oh, Chandler's right. Oh, Chandler boxed his way back in. And then just got kicked to the body clean. Oh, big elbow from Olivera.
Starting point is 02:38:03 Olivera is so much better defensively than he used to be. Yeah, Chandler is hurting. And this is going to shoot again. Okay, here Chandler should be able to defend this. Oh, good job. Let's say, oh, now he let Olivera. get his hands locked and so now he can't defend this he's definitely getting taken down now now he's got a hook but he might get both why did you why did you pop a squat you idiot yeah that what is he doing
Starting point is 02:38:29 that that wasn't the right choice for you he gave up there kind of the position sort of just abandoned it yep um you got to keep the second hook clear but the bottom hook is already in that that second hook goes in this yeah i mean he's already in jail the it's got the underneath hook yeah all there can ride out the rest of the round here if he wants to. I am so impressed by the continued improvement of Charles Oliver. Yeah. Because he's gotten hit,
Starting point is 02:38:55 but he's getting hit in much better ways and he used to get hit. Yeah. His technique is better. He is. If this is when he was champion, he would have got knocked out. Yeah. Because he used to,
Starting point is 02:39:04 like, he's not in great defensive posture when he would get hit. And so that's where he gets hurt. Now, even when Chandler's landing. This is a big moment from Michael Chandler. He cannot allow that second hook to go in. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:39:13 I think he's just might actually be cooked this round. Oh, I think it might be in. Oliver's got the hook in and is working on that neck. Flan him out and punch him. Chandler is trying to get him to ride high. Oliver's going for the breakdown again and putting the body lock on. I would like to cash one bet today.
Starting point is 02:39:32 We're back in jail. Yep. We are back in full prison. Mike, I did not foresee us going to all decisions tonight. This is insane. But the energy heading into Steepa John is bad times. If John. wins just a wrestle-heavy garbo decision.
Starting point is 02:39:53 Uh, hoof. This could be $2.97 for the worst. Have you pretty pre-performing card of the year. Pretty tough. Also, this is, and this has not been, oh, all right, Chandler's almost got a turn. Chandler, Chandler's got an option here. Chandler's building back up. Look at him build up.
Starting point is 02:40:12 He's got a chance. Keep going. You still got a clue the under, the underleg, but also, this has not been a boring fight. No, no, no, no. But it is the most boring fight either of these two. have been in in some time. Yeah, because it's just not competitive. It's an,
Starting point is 02:40:30 this is a one-way traffic ass-wop-in. I mean, I'm, I am well on my way to have, having three, 10-8 rounds in this fight. Charles got to do a little bit more damage here in order to get that. I thought the third round definitely was. I think,
Starting point is 02:40:47 absolutely both rounds. Now, if he could flatten them out and land some shots. Oh, boy. He's a little high. Yeah. And Chandler fought the hands. A little high.
Starting point is 02:41:02 Oh, he's done. He can just get the squeeze across the chin. We've seen it here. Yeah. It's across the chin. Chandler. Now he's digging a little more under. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 02:41:11 Chandler, you got to bail on your post arm here, kid, because you need to be playing defense with it. There you go. Good job. He did defend. Now the body locks on. Oh, boy. I mean, we're, he's just in, just in prison. Yep.
Starting point is 02:41:26 This is miserable. This doesn't seem very fun. I would not like to be Michael Chandler. I mean, ever, ever, but certainly right now. Among the times I'm the least interested in being Michael Chandler. 19 seconds left. Caleb, so were clear. I have, I do not care for Connor McGregor.
Starting point is 02:41:52 I have repeatedly for the past two years maintained that it's among the funniest things in the sport that Connor has ruined the end of this man's career. He kind of has. It literally just took like. like two of the remaining prime years of this man's career for nothing. And then because he couldn't take any more time, he accepted a fight against a guy that's very good. Very difficult. And there's an upside.
Starting point is 02:42:16 Certainly if he wins, there's a lot. But like, also Michael Chandler's 38. I think it's reasonable to believe he's not his best form anymore. But he could also still very easily get the, get the Connor fight. What if he pulls out the win right here, Mike?
Starting point is 02:42:29 She's a big right hand. Charles, Charles caught sleeping. I'm just kidding. Out of nowhere. it would be no yeah by the way Casey sorry 10 9 Chandler correct 10 8 Oliver or 109 Oliver sorry 109 Oliver sorry 109 Oliver sorry 109 Oliver 7000 what the fuck I talk about 109 Oliverer
Starting point is 02:42:43 I respect that just throwing a Chandler round in there just give him one yeah 10 9 check Charlie olives Checkee olives Moki I think you haven't watched this fight if you think Charles isn't trying to hurt Michael Chandler he is he is absolutely trying to hurt him in every round he is he has put a lot of a lot of bone into Michael Chandler's body. All right, fifth round, let's go.
Starting point is 02:43:11 Michael Chandler's got to let it all hang out. Michael Chandler should come out and do the Max Holloway point. Be like, settle up, kid. All right, round five. Joe, being shaking out his arms, okay? I don't think that's what's happening. But why not? Charles wanted a prayer and Chandan was like, no.
Starting point is 02:43:38 If I was a fighter and I was up, I would try and delay as much as possible in the final round. I would try and be like, oh, take a photo. That knee from Oliver was so nasty. He's just killing him. He's just hitting him with everything. Knees, elbows.
Starting point is 02:43:52 Oh, Oh, Chandler's legs took a little wonky there. That was to the body. Oh, look, he defended a takedown. Michael Chandler defended a takedown. But now he's against the fence. He won't defend this next one. Oh, right hand from Olivera.
Starting point is 02:44:06 I want to see Oliver's like strike landing percentage. Man. It's got to be up there. It's extremely high. He's also doing this little teep to Chandler's, knee now which is fun. Yeah, this is really nice. Oh, boy. Go. He had the, had the plum for a minute. Yeah. Chandler's about to eat a big right hook from Chandler. Oh, left hand. And a whoa. Oh, big right hand. Oh, Oliver's hurt. Oh, there is. Oh, Michael. Oh, he's going to win the
Starting point is 02:44:33 scramble. Oh, this is got. Michael Chandler on top. Oh, that was the most illegal punch I've ever seen. Back of the head. Back in the head. He is bubbling the back of Charles Oliver's head. But he's just letting him cheat blatantly. Oh my God, he's going to pull this off, Mike. Oh, that is full of the pros and so much trouble right now. Just the most blatant cheating of all time in Chandler. You got to unload. Look at DC talking about.
Starting point is 02:45:02 You got to unload everything you have, Chandler. DC looked like Hunter Camel was like, dude, he's hitting him in the back of the head. There was the most blatant cheating I've ever seen. He hit him with 20 punches in the back of the head. Do it again. Chandler? Big elbows! Oh my god!
Starting point is 02:45:18 Oh my god! Let me have it might. Get out of... Leave the ground channel. Get out of here. You fucking idiot. A posture and punches. Oh, what are you doing?
Starting point is 02:45:33 What are you doing? You have three minutes for the most miraculous comeback. And you were just in a tie-up. Oh, my God. Robin, Ray. Stand up, you imbecile! Come on! A triangle!
Starting point is 02:45:58 Oliver put a triangle on him! Stand up, you morrow! What are you doing? You had a chance if you have just thrown it out the window. What sort of voodoo does this man have over? When you hurt him, you make bad choices. I love old Keith Pierce is trying to enforce rules
Starting point is 02:46:20 after he allowed Michael Joe Ceybo's blatant cheating I've never seen I've never seen Challer's gonna get triangle he's not breaking his roster at all there he goes
Starting point is 02:46:28 stand up you fool Olivares stood up oh my God now he's an attack mode Michael Chandler's about to get Oliverer's going to shoot a double I think now it would be smart but
Starting point is 02:46:40 good job hi drama indeed Joe Rogan whoa he's Michael Chandler's trying to load up that right oh big left hook from Chandler Chandler's breathing real heavy.
Starting point is 02:46:53 He's tired. Oh, he's backing him. Don't beck him on. Punch him. You got 90 seconds to pull off a mirror. Now, Charles is going to take a dad. It's done. Fights over.
Starting point is 02:47:01 Chandler moves to the back. Wow. To the back. We're cooked. Man, just unbelievable fight IQ. Whoa. Oh. That was awesome.
Starting point is 02:47:17 Way to make it fun and then suck. You idiot. The night of bad fight IQ. This is unreal. Is Janada Did he still number one? I don't know, man. Because Chandler, like, he, this is the four rounds of getting worked. He's getting wailed on for 20 minutes.
Starting point is 02:47:45 He pulls it out. He's going to win directly by cheating. Like, only really hurt him by cheating. off. Be the best. Oh, he's going to do the front flip. He's going to do the stupid front flip. Oh, now he's going to get choked.
Starting point is 02:48:02 He should have done the front flip. It's much cooler to do the front flip, but he did the, he's going to stand up and do it again. Oh, what a king. What a king. Now do the front flip. Do the front flip. It's literally a pro wrestling gimmick.
Starting point is 02:48:16 He is standing up with Charles Oliver in the backpack. That's a tap. That's a tap. It's not really a tap, but it is a tap. Wow. Oh, God. Who won that round? Michael Chandler wins him out.
Starting point is 02:48:35 He should. And now Charles Oliver's leaving. I am in fact going to score that 10-8 Michael Chandler. Casey, I'm not going to put it on the board. I'm getting that at 10-8. Yeah. Why? Because he almost killed him.
Starting point is 02:48:45 It was illegal, but we can't say it was illegal. 10-9 Chandler. 10-8 Chandler. And then he got... Oh, Michael Chandler is a very silly goose. What does... Silly, silly, silly man. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 02:49:00 Oh, and then he shuns Trump. Just walked right by, no acknowledgement, no nothing. It's not his president. It's fine. I mean, you know, it's like one of the most famous people in the world. Yeah, it's not his president. That's fine. What an idiot.
Starting point is 02:49:17 Oh. Hey, Chandler, hey, almost. There you go. He's going to have his moan with, with, with Trump's fighters are having a tough day. Tough day. that's a nasty little teat. That was the one where I was like, his knee kind of might be cooked.
Starting point is 02:49:33 Yeah. And based on that, big right hand, show us the blatant cheating, please. I would like to show the most cheating cheat that's ever cheated. There is a lot of cheating from Michael Taylor. There's so much cheating from Michael Chandler.
Starting point is 02:49:44 There's like six fence grabs in round one. There is like two or three in round two. I mean, just swinging as hard as you can. So many fence grabs. And then let's just pass the head. Up back, two back of the head, three back of the head, four back of the head, five back of the head. And we missed like a dozen before that, like the really hard shot.
Starting point is 02:50:05 And then just, okay, I'm going to do, why don't you go for the front flip buddy? It's more cool. Come on. And he can't do it. That was the best. Oh, that was way more fun than I thought it was going to be. What a fifth round. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:50:21 That was electric. What a friggin round. That was electric. That was electric. What's that mean? I have it 48, 40, 40. I don't know. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Starting point is 02:50:36 42, 43. 49.45 for me. 48, 43. I'm fine with that score. It was a lot of tights. Be liberal with them. If Chandler got, seriously, if Chandler got the finish with the back of the head punches.
Starting point is 02:50:51 If Chandler didn't suck, I would love him a lot. Like, he is a goofy fighter and I love goofy fighters. Let's say. 49.46. 4946. 49.45. 1.108 in there. Everybody else 4-1.
Starting point is 02:51:10 Michael. You're absolutely right. We're about to get a dare to be great from Michael Chandler for sure. Yep, Joe Rogan's already saying, hey, we're going to talk to you. You know, I went in there, didn't have to take this fight.
Starting point is 02:51:22 A dare to be great. Took the risk. Dare to be great, you know. It's absolutely, he's absolutely going to do it. I think the actual phrase, dare to be great will come, which I hate. What's the odds? Chat, what do you predict?
Starting point is 02:51:35 Does Dare to be Great come? I'd like to get my Otno pick in right now. It will be a very popular one. If Charles Oliver doesn't fight Max Holloway next, that's promotional malpractice. I agree. But you could get a title show up. Not really.
Starting point is 02:51:53 Not really. Because they got to do the Armine wins. They got to do the Armand fight first. And know that that's probably happening. Right. But if Armand, if Armin, If Armand wins, they'll do Islam again. Yeah, I mean, certainly that.
Starting point is 02:52:07 And if Islam wins, they might just go back. Because he was supposed to fight all? He was supposed to fight? He could have, but then that would be, that would be Oliver staying out until likely next fall, whereas you just early summer, Max versus Charles. That's a fight. That's a fight.
Starting point is 02:52:23 When that gets the title fight. Plus, they fall before, but the four violence kings of the era, they need to run it back in a real manner. Is this going to win fight of the night? Because that fifth round? Probably. It's because of the fifth round.
Starting point is 02:52:42 If it wins it, it definitely wins because of the fifth round. Fifth round was funny as hell. One of the funniest rounds of the year. Oh, yeah. See you at the top, walk on. Loser. What an idiot. I can't put that twice.
Starting point is 02:52:55 The question is, does dare to be great. Keith Peterson should have his license revoked. Yeah, he had a rough one. Yeah. Malth, I mean, literally you could have taken six points. Or he's a genius for allowing that to happen. That's true. Man, twice now Chandler has really had a chance to beat Charles Alivaira and done the dumbest thing.
Starting point is 02:53:22 I'm curious to see what he says. Putting his team over. Yeah, let's have him fight Max Holloway. Yeah, I want that fight so bad. In the spring, early summer, seems terrific. winner gets the next shot at Islam or Armin. Oh, God. Toughest human beings has ever lived is a bit of a stretch.
Starting point is 02:53:57 Tough guy. I'm not that he's not. That is not, as funny as that round is. Boy, was it. It is not the round of the year. Are you not entertaining? God, damn. Okay.
Starting point is 02:54:29 No. Not Max Lully. Did you say that? Did he just say that? Sure did. Oh, no. He's the silliest goose. Us real professionals are keeping the eye on warm.
Starting point is 02:54:55 Okay, he don't dare to be great. He didn't dare to be great. He does all I know how to do is throw American made caution to the wind. American badass caution to the wind. Buddy, you then just lay it in guard like an idiot when you had a chance. Oh, God, I'm so glad he lost. While we were keeping, while us professionals have been keeping the odds gone warm, His first fight, he hasn't fought two years.
Starting point is 02:55:17 Also, just like realistically, you could have been better with that. Not bad. It was good. Not bad, but you could have been better. Tommy Aspenno. Aspenol. Tommy Espinal. Tommy Espinno.
Starting point is 02:55:28 No, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. There's the other, the Trump child. I don't know. The Trump children. Yeah. So the three Trump children. Triple H to Stephanie in the house. Tommy Aspinall, the hero of the week.
Starting point is 02:55:42 R.FK really looks. So leathery is the leatheriest man alive. That's the man who's going to make America healthy again, Jed. Well, uh, sure. A man who is no comment on that. Just man looks old. Oh, good. The dude is in, you know what time it is, y'all.
Starting point is 02:56:02 RFK is in, right here. RFK is in terrific shape for a man his age, though. Maybe Jake Paul will fight him next. Guys, chickens. Do you know what chickens? I would actually feel better if it was RFK. in there instead of Mike Tyson last night. Steepa just looking old.
Starting point is 02:56:21 All right. It is time. John Jones versus Steepi Mietchich for the heavyweight championship of the world. What is the chat thinking? Final picks. Final prediction. Who's it going to be? Because I got to tell you,
Starting point is 02:56:38 if Stepe Mietich, Cleveland's own, goes in there at 42 years of age, and beats John Jones tonight. Oh my God. It would be lovely. Oh, it would be one of the craziest things that has ever had. I forgot that I threw this for us to remember earlier. With a bonus tonight, which I think seems decently likely for Friday of the night at this point,
Starting point is 02:57:05 Charles Oliver will now be the first fighter in UFC history to earn over a million dollars in bonuses. That's crazy. He is currently a $970,000 across like 18 bonuses or some, 19 bonuses. So 50K for his efforts, which seems very possible, will be the first millionaire, bonus million. They're going to give that fight to the night. I mean, unless, unless, you never know. You never know. Maybe Tom Aspinall just hits Steepet with a steel chair during the walkout.
Starting point is 02:57:42 takes off the chain, the shirt, and just steps into the cage. Is Daniel Kormier in the Lockburner in right now? I have no idea. I don't know why. Here we go. Just get right into this thing. We don't need any pomp in circumstance. Like hit the promo and let's go.
Starting point is 02:58:03 It's 1 a.m. Is it really 1 a.m.? It's 12.40s. Wow. Okay. Okay, Jonathan. Do the funniest thing in the world and get knocked out. I can't.
Starting point is 02:58:16 I couldn't handle it if you get knocked out. It'll be so funny. First of all, the fact that Steep Amyich is still in the heavyweight rankings is an absolute trust. He literally has not fought in three years, has not fought. Four, just about four. March 2021.
Starting point is 02:58:28 Yeah, that's like three in eight. Oh, no, three and seven eights. Yeah, we're over, we're over the half.
Starting point is 02:58:34 We're over three and a half, certainly. Oh, he is in the cage. You called it. Man, we are really, we're really doing this thing up.
Starting point is 02:58:45 On the one hand, I don't want to, to knock the O.C. for taking a promotional effort. I would like them do more of this. Them doing it for a fight that most people are aware of is a nonsense fight is very, very silly. Like, Max Ilya deserves something like this, and instead we get it for this nonsense fight. They're really. I'll tell you what. I will live with this if the UFC gives a quarter, a quarter of the same effort to pants and ass occur in next month.
Starting point is 02:59:24 No chance. Just 25% of it. They're not remotely. They're not going to do it. No, they're not going to do it. No, they're definitely not going to do it. Jones. They're going to treat it as a throwaway pay-per-view.
Starting point is 02:59:37 But here we go. The promo is on. Get your picks in. Get them in, boys. Who wins? How? What round? What you got?
Starting point is 02:59:46 I am officially Jones submission. I think round two is what I picked. I got Jones TK. Round two. I think. I do have a. bat maybe I'll cash one met tonight I have this fight going under two and a half I uh I am I am you know out here desperately I think I am now Martin Tybora beats both these guys I love I love that
Starting point is 03:00:06 energy um I don't think that's correct though steep maybe steep is old it's eye poke time so many I poaks got rid of those it is what's the over under an I pox tonight because both these guys can deliver them two and a half at least it's so it is so funny that that that the new gloves designed to lessen eye pokes. Not saying they did it, but that was like the pitch to them. And John fights again is like, I don't like them. And it's like, we're never using these gloves again. I'm not saying this is a conspiracy because I don't think it is.
Starting point is 03:00:38 Oh, you want me to fight? It is coincidentally, it is incredibly amusing coincidence. It's absolutely one million percent. It's all about John. His words, not mine. I didn't say that. I just said it's funny. That's it's it's my opinion on this.
Starting point is 03:00:55 And John has basically said the same thing. If John asked for it, he's getting it. We're going to get a horrible decision here, aren't we? Just the board. Like, we're going to get a classic John Jones jabs and refuses to engage decision. Just oblique kicks to the knee and jabs for five rounds. I kind of think Steve is going to go get, go get it, man. I mean, that would be better.
Starting point is 03:01:15 But I thought every fight would be a finish on this card. We've gotten none. I thought we'd get four out of five easy. Lawn Top is not a human being Because he should have got finished Very tough man Very tough young man Charles could have finished Chandler a few times
Starting point is 03:01:32 Chandler What I hope is that this fight is boring And that in the middle of it There's a Tommy Haspinall song That the crowd just starts going Tommy It would be pretty wild He is the baby face
Starting point is 03:01:44 The ultimate baby face of all of this Easily the biggest winner Of the whole weekend Without playing Oh yeah absolutely Steve is in really good shape it would be so funny
Starting point is 03:01:57 Oh my God Can he do it Be so funny We need we need to make history here One time dealer We need to make history here I won't ask for other outcomes If you give me this one
Starting point is 03:02:08 It would be just It would be hilarious Would you trade a Michael Chandler Lightweight title reign I would absolutely let him be the lightweight champion That's fine All right There are very
Starting point is 03:02:20 Very few things I like. Honestly, the only thing that I would want more, maybe in the history of the sport than steepe getting a win tonight, is the 13 seconds back, because that's just like the worst outcome in the history of the sport. Like the Connor 13 is just invalidated a lot of dumb things. But man, give me a steep a win would be, I don't know if I'd ever stop laughing.
Starting point is 03:02:48 That's a big, for content purposes, there's nothing better that could happen on this website than Steepa winning this fight. Do you remember there's a South Park episode where a Cartman is like having a crisis because he thinks he broke his funny bone? So he saw the funniest thing ever and he can't laugh ever again.
Starting point is 03:03:08 I think that that's what happened. If Stepe just comes in in the first punt, like Superman Punch Jones just gets slabbed. Just be like, I'll never, nothing will ever be funny. Jones falls to the camus like Fabrice over doomed. Just kabu. And then Stepe just hands up.
Starting point is 03:03:23 I did it. I would never stop. I would be the funniest thing I've ever seen. Ah, here we go. 47% of our polls says Jones by sub slash K.O. Jones by decision at 12. What's a steepa? Well, the others are Stepe by sub-KO 32.
Starting point is 03:03:48 Stepe by decision is 7. 39% of overall voters are suggesting Steepa is going to win this fight. I love that. energy for you. I love, I do too. You could do it, Steepay. I'll never say a bad word about you ever again. I don't care if you ruin the climb season three.
Starting point is 03:04:08 Doesn't matter to me. There he is. Oh, Moki said, I put a hundred bucks on Bowie decision, Olivera winning straight up, and Jones win in round three. Is it a parlay? Two thirds of the way there on that parlay. Probably pretty decent because Bo by decision was, quality little bet there, I think.
Starting point is 03:04:37 I mean, I'm good luck to you. I hope you lose that bet because I need under two and a half to hit. Well, I mean, we could both get it. We could both get it. So early third round, I'd be okay with that. I would like to win one bet tonight on the main card. I'm going to have a losing week no matter what. Shout out Jim Miller.
Starting point is 03:04:57 I think Jim Miller actually might keep me close to even. Oh, that's untrue. I'm having a I had the most successful betting weekend of the year because I bet Because of Jake Paul Oh truly obscene amount of money And that was honestly the best bet I've made in years
Starting point is 03:05:13 So Yeah I mean I knew I was making money this weekend A month ago so it's fine Yeah but the weekend where The Ingano Fahara card And then the UFC Apex
Starting point is 03:05:25 It happened like right next to each other I think I hit Like I think I had like 22 bets and I hit like 20 of them. And there are a lot of dogs, a lot of dogs, a lot of like value players that I put a lot of money on.
Starting point is 03:05:40 Like my biggest bet of the weekend was on Melissa Martinez. As we all did, you know. And she just, she absolutely clobbered her opponent. And like I won so much. It was a great, it was a great time because I, I hit all the PFL bets outside of AJA McKee.
Starting point is 03:05:59 And then I hit like all the UFC bets. Most of them were dogs. I hit like a big parlay. It was awesome. It's just one of those things where like you look at how many units you won and it was like it was almost 30. That's a good day. It was a great day.
Starting point is 03:06:13 You love the day. It was a great day. I didn't look this up. Dude, Stepe, like, she was shredded. Stepe would have to be the second oldest champion in UFC history if he wins. You think it has to be, right? I'm trying to think if there's anybody Randy
Starting point is 03:06:33 Other than Randy Randy was like 46 So I'm trying to think if there's anybody I'm missing that It's older than 42 or whatever But I think that that would be right He would be the second oldest champion Is John walk into
Starting point is 03:06:49 Because like Honestly like Shivchenko might be the second oldest champion right now Like 37 Whatever she is There's not a lot of old champions in UFC history Many men Amen. That's not your song, John.
Starting point is 03:07:05 Is he going to switch to a... Probably. He's got to switch to God Gives You style. I've said this various times. Not walking, like, when John Jones stopped walking out to Angry Johnny by Poe, I was like, yeah, you're... Not there it is. Angry Johnny was like the sickest walkout song for him. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:07:27 And then now he's just like generic New York stuff. Like, everybody walks out of this. Nobody's walking out to Po. I did like, could you be loved? What do you? Yeah. What do you did? I was like, a jam like that, you know, but angry Johnny was just perfect for him.
Starting point is 03:07:44 Johnny, oh. Shit, we're getting it. There he is. The champ is here. Hmm. Got to have you loose. Got to be loose. John coming out to like every song ever made.
Starting point is 03:08:04 There he comes. John, Bone. Jones Jones, big smile in his face. As if he is being coronated. It would be even funnier. Nothing. There's nothing in sports that would be funnier. Genuinely, I don't know if I can think of anything that I've ever found to be funnier.
Starting point is 03:08:27 Just with the whole week that he has had, everything is said and done this week, it would be so... The MMA gods would truly... I will worship at the altar of the MMA gods if Stipei wouldn't. this fight because they will have proven their existence. We believe in you. Content for the content. Content would be. Look at this corner.
Starting point is 03:08:50 Look at this corner. Gordon Ryan in the corner. Greg Jackson, Brandon Gibson. The cheap is here. I need to see a height statistic. Oh, my God. For this fight in some way, shape, or form. No, it's going to be like John Jones is the 400th smallest heavyweight of all
Starting point is 03:09:17 time because they got to keep getting him over despite having the third lightest heavyweight to compete in a heavyweight championship fight in the UFC or something like that despite he will have the longest reach in the heavyweight division they could put that stat up there because it's true just John looks just so confident right now he looks like he's going to a party a birthday party he looks like he's going to a birthday party he looks like he knows what's a like he already knows how this is going to go. Yeah, because he does. Because he knew I was going to go when this was signed a year and a half ago.
Starting point is 03:09:58 What he called? I'm going to kill that old man. Yeah, I'm going to kill that old man. Cool. Katie Law, I, the longer John Jones has been in my life, the more I am a thousand percent confident that a lot of his being and the way he is is explained by being the smallest least athletic member of his family. And like, yeah, he would beat them up now.
Starting point is 03:10:26 Certainly, but like he carries himself with a lot of little brother energy. Like a lot of little brother energy. The man who fought and beat the actual goat, Parker Porter. Walking into the cage. A little car wheel. John. The shorts, he's, he's, the shorts look very strange. I respect the rolling them up like like the high school cheerleader move.
Starting point is 03:10:59 Just I'm going to roll up my own shorts. You could just get smaller shorts. They, they will custom those for you. But it's a vibe. Love the energy. There's a forward role. Again, we don't body shame here. John Longest reached the UFC.
Starting point is 03:11:16 We knew we were going to get some sort of statistic. We don't body shame here, Amman, but yes, John does look soft. He looks better than he did for the gun fight, though. Well, he is, you know, like 20 pounds or 15 pounds lighter. So, but yeah, like he, the truth is John is just a really big light heavy weight and not like, could, obviously he can be a heavyweight because you just don't cut weight to be heavy weight. This weekend we'll go down in history as this is assault on senior citizens. Yes. I've said this for months. This is elder abuse the weekend.
Starting point is 03:11:51 Derek Cleary, Sal DiMato, Chris Lee, hopefully. Seems really. For the only fight on this main card that the judges will not be needed. I will give myself to you, oh, M.A. gods. Just let that, let that stoic, um, mumbly, boring man. Man, just knock that dude out and then retire immediately. I never going to get a better win than this. None of you guys believed in me.
Starting point is 03:12:26 Suck it. I'm out. I'm the goal. He'd be leaving. I'm sorry. You're more like I. You never. You're going to do it.
Starting point is 03:12:33 I'm out of a win. Thank you all. Shout to Cleveland. I'm out. I believe in like 20 million on the table. That's fine. For a rematch. That's fine.
Starting point is 03:12:43 You think Daniel Correa wishes he left that Steepa money on the table? I think he does. I think Daniel Cormi thinks I should not have fought Stiepe twice again. Yeah, but he wouldn't make the same money Steve. It would make, given John, a rematch. Yeah, but you can always make money. It's true. They print more of that shit every day.
Starting point is 03:13:01 But I don't think Steve A's getting a color economy. Plus, the economy saves now, so it's fine. Oh, that's true. You're absolutely right. Eggs are no longer expensive. We're good. That's right. We got the its time.
Starting point is 03:13:13 All right, I'm ready. I'm ready. 103 a.m. Make this. Oh, O, Ares, Lord of War. Make this never-ending weekend worth it. Athena, goddess of wisdom and war. I'm trying to think of all the like warrior gods I know to invoke here.
Starting point is 03:13:32 Mars, heed my call. Steepa is five and two as an underdog. He is, which I was very impressed by when I like was doing that part of the research for Novitz Bar. This week was like, actually a really good track record. a dog. I'm trying to think who he lost to as an underdog. Francis.
Starting point is 03:13:51 I'm, Francis, who's a dog. I think he was a dog of Francis in the second fight. D.C. No, because he won't. The first D.C. First fight.
Starting point is 03:14:00 I think he was a favorite. But I do think he was an underdog to Junio Santos their first fight. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which makes sense, given where they were in their careers at the time. That was a really fun. And it was a very close fight. You know, so they're a, that but I believe it was
Starting point is 03:14:15 Francis 2 and Junior DeSantos 1 because I'm pretty sure he was a favorite over DC though chat let me know if I'm wrong there's John Jones average closing line interesting minus 469 in his UFC career it's pretty impressive
Starting point is 03:14:36 I mean for his 22nd fight for the shit I have given John Jones and I'll continue forever I've never said that he is not one of the greatest fighters of all time Those words have never left my mouth. All I have said is that chickens can't be goats.
Starting point is 03:14:55 So he can't be the greatest of all time if he's a chicken because that's science. All right. John, pay attention. Let's do this face off. Let's go. I think John's going to shoot a very early take down an elbow, Stipe's face through the floor. Oh, they shake hands. John also going on a real emotional journey this week of Stipe's a day. dick because he talked about my kids. I never said that.
Starting point is 03:15:25 Oh, Steve is a great guy. I like him. I never said that about your children. What are you talking about? All right. Let's get this fight over. This isn't the leafy vegetables. I don't know what this is.
Starting point is 03:15:41 The New Yorkers, the New Yorkers haven't been able to drink beer in like an hour and a half because they shut all the concessions down. So they need some action. I just realized this. I missed an opportunity this month. This isn't the leafy greens. Oh, left hand.
Starting point is 03:15:56 Ooh, good right hands. Steep with the right. This isn't the leafy greens. This isn't the dessert. This is the old leftovers you got to eat because or else you're going to throw them away. In the back of the fridge, you got to get this done so you're not wasting food. Good front kick from Jones. Yep.
Starting point is 03:16:13 Steepay chance raining through MSG. Steep. Ooh, I like that light kick to the to the thigh from Steepay. Let's get it. Stepe just punch him real hard in the face. Use the power of your custom shorts that look like regular shorts. Good light kick from John. Short little leg kick from Stepe.
Starting point is 03:16:37 Stepe comes up short with the right hand. Oh, good body kick. Good body kick from John. Steepe going in. He's getting aggressive. He's getting charging at him now. Ha. Ha-ha-ha-ha.
Starting point is 03:16:47 Steeper the left hand. Oh, Stepe just misses it right. Stepe getting a little scrappy in there. Yeah. Now it's getting tense because if this actually happens. I just don't think it can. That's why I feel no tension. I'm like, we're just doing this.
Starting point is 03:17:06 Oh, John just took him down. And he's inside control. Yeah, this ain't good. Oh, here comes some elbows. I remember we're going to get a 12 to 6er coming anytime now. John stepping in. Steepay has a half guard now. Grab the fence, Steepay.
Starting point is 03:17:22 And then near side down or far side under hook. Oh. Oh. All right. Stepe really trying to... Oh, elbow from Stepe. But John's going to just step right on into melt because Stepe was playing...
Starting point is 03:17:34 Yeah, this is real bad. Playing offense off the back instead of Scramble D. John with the elbow. I mean, here's the issue. John is... John can deliver monster elbows with all that length and torque. And Stepe has just never really fought off his back all that often. You really need to be blocked.
Starting point is 03:17:59 Oh, John is landing elbows over there. over again. Stepe cut now. Don't look too bad. It's a forehead cut. Definitely. He's been there a time for two. A little bit of a cut. Steve A really needs to create an underhook here and start turning this position.
Starting point is 03:18:14 Yeah, this is going to be miserable for two and a half minutes. Yeah, he can't stay. He's trying to get back to guard. He's got the knees on the hips. As soon as he starts trying to recompose guard, John just stands up because he's real big. And then comes with the big elbow. And again, Steve is defending enough where, like, the elbows are landing, but not full. They're not getting all the way there, but John is now into side control.
Starting point is 03:18:35 Oh, he's trying to pin an arm down. Stepey just get your left arm to your leg and now you're standing up against the fence, kid. That's not a good enough elbow. You can't really generate a ton of torque with that little pop. That's getting better. Now he's going. Oh, John is unloading. Stepe is doing a pretty good job of blocking a lot of that.
Starting point is 03:18:56 Still ate a number of them. Yeah. Very bad news for him, but. I mean, the chin's holding up. Stepe is. Oh, that was a really good elbow. John is now in a much better position in this top half where he's got clean chest to chest
Starting point is 03:19:08 with a bit of a posture here and can get that around. 23 to 1 and strikes. Oh, the 12 to 6 makes an appearance. The problem is. If Stebe can survive this man and get to round two. The problem is John is now extremely aware of what happens when this fight goes to the floor. so Stepe doesn't
Starting point is 03:19:35 like he's I don't know He's kind of got to get her get God I say on the feet he is going to have to get absolutely wildly Hey full guard back for Steve Good job Close guard I don't know
Starting point is 03:19:45 I can still land elbows from this spot Like that watching him do that to Shogun was I was like Oh this is awful Oh Cheeky elbow to the belly Get in my belly Steepie's fine
Starting point is 03:20:01 He's fine He's fine He's fine out here fighting. He is fist fighting a man. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, clears the legs. Steepa just roll, just roll. You got to roll over. Oh, side control for John.
Starting point is 03:20:15 I'm honestly not sure Steepa could roll over there, but like, younger, more explosive man, would you just going to kick roll, give up the back. If he mounts, if he mounts deepere right now, this. And then we're going to get it. Seepe just has to not let him do it because we will a thousand percent get the 12 to six is from now. Oh, boy. Is he going to crucifix them?
Starting point is 03:20:33 I'm not going to. 10 seconds, Steve. 10 seconds. Oh, he does. He's trying. Try and Steve is rolled up in. And Steve is. Back of the head.
Starting point is 03:20:41 Back of the head. Back of the head. Back of the head. Steve, get your elbow. One. He makes it to the fine. All right. Makes it to the horn.
Starting point is 03:20:46 I mean, honestly, a lot of good defense from Steve. But, uh, that's, uh. That's 10. 8, John. Is that 108? It could be anything. You'll never, you'll never know until. Oh.
Starting point is 03:20:59 Until you see the score card. Uh, 10, John. For me. I mean, that was. Boom. That was an assort. 108 Jones. I mean, that was a one-sided wampen.
Starting point is 03:21:12 That was an ass-open. But Stee-Bee-Bee-Bee-B is okay. Luis Rueva, I do acknowledge it. It is 10-8 John Jones. Again, you're saying acknowledges if I haven't said from almost 18 months straight that John is going to kill this man. Yeah, we all knew what this was. We all knew what this was.
Starting point is 03:21:32 We just. But what if. What if Stepe does it? What if Stepe does it? What if Stepe does it? And John, John is going to shoot immediately this round, I would suggest. Which he should. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:21:41 But like, fight honorably, John, you know? Yeah. Give Steve A 20 seconds. I mean, yeah, just a beautiful little, like, just a beautiful little trip. That's the thing. I don't think people talk enough that John is legitimately the best clinch fighter in him of history. I completely agree. But he never fights in the clinch.
Starting point is 03:21:59 Like, the last five years of his light heavyweight title run, he just wasn't doing it. Round two. He's unbelievably good in the clinch. And that should all be the only thing he does. Try to get to the clinch. Left hand from Steepay. Stepe, do it. The power of Aries compels you.
Starting point is 03:22:16 Come on. Spitting back elbow. I asked for one thing. Come on. One time dealers. That was an official leg kick from Steve. Someone hear my plea and let Steepay power the channel the power of Kathulu into Steepa's right hand for all I care. Well, let's make it happen.
Starting point is 03:22:35 Oh, left hand from Steve. man John is Steve A looks old like yeah I'm surprised he's waiting credit credit from Steve hey is obviously very game could Steve A look old and he yeah which is what we've been saying and frankly John looks a little old too they both do that's why John's not fighting Tom I got to tell you if I'm John I there's no amount of money you could pay make me fight Tom Aspinall and I again he could win that fight if he gets those takedowns we still don't know a lot about Tommy Aspinall, but the speed difference between what Stipe is offering right now and Tom Aspinall is enormous.
Starting point is 03:23:15 Yeah. And John is not exactly running away with the striking right now. I would love to see an Aspinall camera right now. Oh, yeah. I would love to hear the chance. Tommy Haspenmo. Stefe, come on, baby. This guy, the equalizer.
Starting point is 03:23:30 Give it to him. Oh, good shots of body. Give him the equalizer, Stepe. Oh. Put the business on him. go to work lunch pale oh my gosh stepe is reacting to the faint the fainter kicks now
Starting point is 03:23:45 he's eating the number of those kicks to the body and john is john just flexes the hip and stepey starts ducking john's gonna john's gonna do exactly what he did to cor me he's gonna flex stepe's gonna duck drop his hand and that kick's gonna go high oh stepe's hurt or was that low was that a ding ding might have been low because now he seems fine but he definitely did the
Starting point is 03:24:05 john's gonna go high with the left head kick in the near future at this point. Steve, I just throw something. The next time John feints that little shows the hip, right hand down the pipe, baby, let's go. Yeah. Nothing has happened in the last 40 seconds. John is fainting. Steepay misses with the jazz.
Starting point is 03:24:29 John is being very, very patient. I mean, John ran over Steepay and has yet to try to take down. Like kicks from both. Light kick from John, very nice. Chickens. Chickens can't be good. Left hand to the chest from Jones. Steepie misses with the right hand.
Starting point is 03:24:44 You just get your fist fighting. Let's just keep scrapping. Back him up, Steeps. Just throw as hard as you can. Oh, good knee from John. John and the clinch. Two minutes left here. This is not how you beat John Jones
Starting point is 03:25:02 by playing one for one point fighting. Yeah, that's no. That's actually all of his style at the end of his career has been this and it's awful, but she's effective at it. If he can draw you into this fight, oh, right hand. There we go.
Starting point is 03:25:19 Let's go, Steeper. I mean, John ate it without issue, but still, the hope persists. Kick him in the ball, Steepa. Let's go. Does he? I don't know. John's not pressing him either. Just Jones with the left hand that it did not look great.
Starting point is 03:25:39 Oh, Steepay. You get a little left out. Left hand. Yeah. As with every passing moment, I maintain that John could beat Tom Aspenol. will never and should never fight him. I think there is, I previously thought the John Tom fight was 50-50.
Starting point is 03:26:00 I'm getting a lot closer to 60, 40 Tommy. Good right hand from John. Stipey answers. Also, I said years ago, and I firmly believe it, Francis would have beaten John if they had fallen. They talked about it. I agree.
Starting point is 03:26:19 And that was a better version of John. The Francis that fought Steepé the second time? I don't know if I've ever seen a fighter who would beat that Francis. Oh, Oh, Ooh. Oh, See me there.
Starting point is 03:26:28 Run away, John. Run away, you dishonorable young man. Old man, whatever. Come on, Stepe.
Starting point is 03:26:33 Let's go. I am blatantly rooting for Steepa. Oh, spin kick to the body. That was real good from John. He doesn't do cool stuff anymore. I wish he kept doing that. That was when he's fun.
Starting point is 03:26:43 Good little left hook though from John. Jab from John. No takedown attempts from John this round. Steepe might have. Is Steepa might have. Steppe went in this round? I don't think so. Okay.
Starting point is 03:26:53 I think he is obviously much more success than the first round. Well, yeah, I got 10-8 in the first round. But I think that is still a Jones round, but- 10-9, John, yeah, I'm with you. But I was curious. Because, you know, he landed- Better round for Stepe, obviously. Much better round for Stepe.
Starting point is 03:27:08 He had actual moments, but yes, 10-9, Jonathan. When Steepe-e-moose forward and throws, he's landing. And John doesn't, I mean, John's having moments. yeah and John's just staying busy enough you know he's got he's got the keep going he's got the thing John very clearly looks older to me in this oh yeah um like this is not even the john that fought dominic crays which is not a criticism he's 37 he's been fighting for like almost 20 years it's reasonable to fall off a little bit I can't believe we're going around three um whoever it was who said John round three finish just do it you got five minutes
Starting point is 03:27:54 If he's got to do it, do it in less than two and a half minutes. I would like to hit it one bet on this vanguard. That knee to the body was sweet from Jones. Are you excited for Gladiator 2, by the way? I mean, yes, in general, certainly. I have a little bit of mixed feelings. It looks a little weird. Round three.
Starting point is 03:28:16 Parts of it, but I'm absolutely in. The reviews are glowing. I'm sure. Ooh, ooh, O, Stepe! Steepie! Come on, Steepey! Right hand, he's got John on his heels a little bit. But now John's centered? Steepie cannot move backwards.
Starting point is 03:28:37 Yeah, and Rogan's saying that right now is when Steepa comes forward, and that's it. And that's like 90% of fights. Oh, good job from John. Very good left hand. Another jab from John. Oh, nice little uppercut. Steepe getting crafty right here.
Starting point is 03:28:56 Making a fist fight, Steeps! Steeps. Come on. Let's go. Oh, my God. I can't. Lunch pale tail. Let's put the hard hat on.
Starting point is 03:29:06 Good work. Do it for the firefighter, Steepa. Oh, good body. I mean, Jones just keeps packing away at the body. Eventually, that's going to. Good light kick.
Starting point is 03:29:18 Stepe kind of check that one. Oh, John really. John really sat down on the hook there. Yeah. That would have been pretty bad. Steepie had popped into that. That could have been. curtains.
Starting point is 03:29:37 Oh, good jabs from stepe. Oh, Joe. Oh, Stepe's hurt. He's a big trouble. My man,
Starting point is 03:29:43 your bet is very low. Oh, good way and Stepey. Battle back. Stepe got hurt for real, for real there, though. He was on real shaky legs.
Starting point is 03:29:52 Like he did the smile at him, but was clearly like hurt, hurt. There you go. Get to space. That was huge. That was huge. That is a big moment.
Starting point is 03:30:01 It's good not to be in the clinch with John, but John, John hurt him there. so I don't know if space is his friend either right now. Right? Come on, Stepe, load this thing. I told you he's going to high with that head kick. He's going to the left head kick, yep.
Starting point is 03:30:13 I'm going to show him, show him. Come on, Stepe, put the hands on him. Give him the mitts. It was a jab that hurt, Stepe. And then the right hand behind it really. Yeah, right hand behind him really put him in a way. He's switching Southbaugh. And now he's landing the jab at his right hand.
Starting point is 03:30:32 Body kick again. Real nice from John. Check that one. Yeah. All these weapons, Daniel Kormier says. Well, all we need is this one right here. Daniel would know. The right hand of Steepei Mietchich.
Starting point is 03:30:48 It's all we need, baby. Oh, good slipping from John. But he lends a quick right on the break. We're over to a half. Steve, you really got to get. Unbelievable. Steve, you really got to get off the fence, man. Left hand from John.
Starting point is 03:31:01 Come on, he's finding a spot. Right on that cut on the right cheek of Steepa, another jab. that popping the jab in there. Steepie with the left hand. Stepe is getting very close to doing what he wants, but John is pretty clearly keyed in on the right hand and how to not eat it. Like Stepe will land like one and a half punches,
Starting point is 03:31:20 but John will land like five strikes. Steepa gets in with his left hand and John steps out on an angle. And so when Steepa is trying to follow the right hand after John's away, Defend his take down. John was clinching and trying to get a takedown. Steepay stays on his shoot. Jag him into deep water, Steepay.
Starting point is 03:31:35 John. Sidekick. Oh, that was kind of low. Yeah, but Steepa ain't complaining. Yeah. Just kicked him right in the vintage checker. They don't complain in Ohio. They just go to work.
Starting point is 03:31:46 Let's go to work, Stepe. Come on. I can't believe I'm rooting for Stepe. This is. What does my life fall into that I have to root for Stepe Meachich? One big right hand, Stepe, come on. Oh, good left hand from John. Stepe lands a right, grays them a little bit.
Starting point is 03:32:06 Big left hand from John. That was nice. Yeah. And the jab is landing. John just slowly working. Just borrowing in. My, my, Moki, I think it was. My guy, if you don't finish this, that is tough.
Starting point is 03:32:18 Because the third round look like you could have done. Oh, left hand from Stepe. Good left hand from Stepe. Oh, Steepie is getting pissed. That's right. Get angry. No, on them damn eggs. Come on, Stepe.
Starting point is 03:32:27 Let's go. Oh, another body kick from John. That's going to take all the anger out of anybody. That just sucks. All right. I'm not mad anymore. Oh, spinning back. Oh, spinning back.
Starting point is 03:32:37 Oh, that's it. Oh, that's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. Oh, John is landing. Holy shit. Hey, monkey.
Starting point is 03:32:43 Round three finished for John. Oh, that was nasty. And now he's doing the Trump dance. That was filthy. Yeah. He was investing. Yeah, he just slowly beat the hell out of the old man. Yeah, he was investing in the body and then he, uh...
Starting point is 03:33:02 Hey, credit to John, no eye pokes. Now, let's see if he does the thing. He's not going to do the thing. But let's see if he does. Let's see if this is all. an elaborate scheme and plan from John Jones. That was frigging filthy. I'm telling him, don't do the thing.
Starting point is 03:33:18 The spinning back kick, I mean, Steve A crumbled. Joe Rogan. John looked very good. Steve A did not. John looked good. I will not say very good. John looked good. John could have finished.
Starting point is 03:33:38 He looked better than I thought, but he didn't look good because he's an old man who's retired. Oh, right in the ribs. Yeah. I mean, that was exactly. The spinning back kick right to the ribs. Uh, that's it. Could have stopped it there.
Starting point is 03:33:51 Reasonable to let it go on. Oh. But when you just fold to the canvas. Yeah, that's it. There's not net needed to do this. That's why I call him hokey pokey herb. I mean, he was around in, you know, flex and band, band, move. Hey, the climb continues.
Starting point is 03:34:07 Good job. We're back up, baby. Three levels. Let's go. That's just not accurate. Come on Joe, Rogan. Are you serious? He looked like a fat, like, like,
Starting point is 03:34:23 heavyweight and moved like a heavyweight. Yeah. And that's again, this is not a criticism. It was 42 year old CB. We all knew what this one. One of the greatest fighters who has ever lived. Nobody denies it. He's getting a little older. He's not at his best anymore.
Starting point is 03:34:39 And he was fighting a guy who's very old and clearly not. It's still probably quality. Not great though. No medical attention. Savage. Jalen, we're
Starting point is 03:34:57 out here giving this man all the respect. Nobody has ever disrespected what he's accomplished. Disrespected his actions in the last year and a half and his actions outside of the cage for obvious reasons. Yeah. We knew this. We knew in March of last year when he called out Steve A that this was going to happen. Now is the moment of truth.
Starting point is 03:35:15 We'll see. Now let's see what he could do. I hope he does. Will he call out Tom Asphenol? I would love to see the fight. Yeah. Call him out. But I don't think he's going to do it.
Starting point is 03:35:23 Call him out. The amount of credit he will get if he does call out Tom right now will be. He honestly should do it because he doesn't have to fight him, but he can just get the pop and then just be like, actually, I'm going to retire. Yeah, but that's fine. That's actually pretty smart. All the people out here saying John Jones is the goat, obviously you can't read. I know illiteracy is rising in this nation, but chickens can't be goats. So let's find out if he's a go.
Starting point is 03:35:49 We're going to find out right now if he's the goat. All right. He is talking to Joe Rogan who says that John Jones looks better than ever, a heavyweight that moves like a light heavyweight. really tough, really durable. It's sweating like Patrick Ewing. The Terminator. It's very weird to hit somebody that's not reacted to it. Steve Bay reacted to do a few.
Starting point is 03:36:18 Let's be honest. He's putting him over. I ain't got no issue to him. Put him over. He's a big and up in the man. It's a legend, Hall of Famer. There's nobody tougher in this division than Steve A.
Starting point is 03:36:29 My issue is him not just doing that before the fight. Yeah. Oh, that body kick is just, it's mean. mean. This is a mean finish. Bam. One of the really good things about John in his whole career is he attacks the body a ton and other fighters should do that more.
Starting point is 03:37:00 Time to unify the title. That's what everybody's saying. Oh, no Joe, no Joe. Joe is giving him the outs, baby. There he is. There's Tommy Asapel. Do it, John. Do it. He's not going to do it. He told you what I'm going to do it.
Starting point is 03:37:29 He acknowledged Jesus Christ. It is Sunday after all. I cannot take credit for gifts like this. I mean, Oh, give it back to him, Joe. Don't you dare end it like that. Oh, do it. He's not gonna.
Starting point is 03:38:19 See his name, damn it. He doesn't want to. He will fight Tom Asperol if they're going to pay him a floppy-dity trillion dollars. You better pay it. Just pay him. But get Dana on the microphone and say, will you pay it now? I told you wasn't going to do the thing. He is never going to say it until they put a check with eight zeros behind it in front of him.
Starting point is 03:38:53 And he shouldn't. Luis Ruvav, what do you mean? What do I have to say? He's not going to fight Tom Aspinall. It's a shame. We've got to negotiate. We'll give you what you want. He could have been a goat.
Starting point is 03:39:17 But as the shirt says, he shouldn't fight Tom Aspinall. This is exactly what we thought, right? Like, oh, Steve A here. Steve, it would be hilarious if Steve A called out of Tabazpital. That would be. Steal his food, baby. Steepa getting the interview. Caught me in the ribs.
Starting point is 03:39:57 Didn't do what he was supposed to do, Jed. Do you say on to the next one? Sounded like that. All right, he's retired. There you go, Stepe. I'm done. I'm hanging him up. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 03:40:22 Give him the microphone, Joe. Oh, the John Jones stands have found the chat. You guys, you guys are great. Enjoy your picture books. Oh, they found the chat. Oh, they found the chat. You just hate you on. You just want to see him lose.
Starting point is 03:40:37 No, I want to see the heavyweight champion of the world. Defend the belt against the best contenders, not against the guy, the interim champion who has held the belt for a year and had defended his title before John defended his. Yeah, that's it. I would like to see the champion of the world do the thing that literally we expect of every champion. So, uh, yeah,
Starting point is 03:41:01 and again, I want to see the heavyweight champion of the world fight the actual best heavyweight in the world right now. And I've, I've said from day one, I don't blame John for any of this. Yeah. The only thing I blame John for is acting like, we're the assholes for wanting to see a very reasonable fight.
Starting point is 03:41:16 Uh, so, but hey, he got, he got the win. It took us 20 months to get here, but he did the thing that he wanted to, to do. I suspect it's the last time we've seen him fight, but there's the hope.
Starting point is 03:41:30 He did at least open the door for the hope. Let's see how everybody feels if like the Chiefs win the AFC championship game and then in the NFC, like the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC title and Patrick Mahomes like, you know what? I don't want to play the Eagles. I want Tom Brady instead. Tom, get your ass out of retirement. Rejoin the Patriots.
Starting point is 03:41:51 I want the Patriots to play in the Super Bowl. even though we're in the same conference as them. Like, that's what this is. That's what this is. Chase, uh, look, I, I do believe John can beat Tom. You know how we could find that out for sure? If, if they just fought. Like, what, like, why?
Starting point is 03:42:12 Nobody is saying we want to see John lose. Nobody has ever said that. We said that tonight because this, it would be hilarious. It'd be incredibly funny for him to completely. disregard Steppe and then get knocked out. But like, we want to see him fight the best dude. Like, a Tom Aspiramal win is one of the, would be one of the five best wins of his career. This is really, Aspedal doesn't want that heat.
Starting point is 03:42:35 This is, that, that's fake. That is a fake comment. That is a fake comment. Thank you, Anthony. You made me laugh. You made me laugh. That's, that is legitimately a, uh, a phony comment. Luis, well played.
Starting point is 03:42:49 He did leave the door open, but he didn't do the door open. But he didn't do. the thing. He didn't say I'm going to do it. He did not say the man's name. He didn't say the man's name. He said, we wouldn't, he said, we might give you what you want. I will walk back the things I have said when they walk in the cage and fist fight each other. And until that moment, stand by it all. Okay. So I, this is a serious question.
Starting point is 03:43:14 And the checkout can feel, but this is a legitimate question. Will John Jones show up at the post-fight press conference? Yeah, for sure. He's going to be asked directly about Tom Asphalt. Yeah, and he'll just play it off like that. Because the media imposed by pressers, you know, no disrespect. I know a lot of you, we're friends. Nobody's going to press that issue in a way.
Starting point is 03:43:35 I think somebody is going to try to press that. He will answer that question maybe two times. The first time he will give the answer he has planned. And the second time, he will say, I've already answered that question. If you guys are just going to keep asking me the same question, I'm going to go. I'll take my ball and go home. I think he's for sure going to go because he's going to try and, make this about him because it is about him.
Starting point is 03:43:54 Tonight is about John Jones. This whole thing for a year and a half has been about John Jones. And a lot of people certainly believe he deserves that. And if there is a fighter in the history of the sport who deserves something like this, you could argue that John is one of them. Tom is 31. John would be pushing 40 if they fought. Would you be saying Tom is beating an old man then?
Starting point is 03:44:15 Yes. I mean, almost by definition. But also... He's the heavyweight champion of the world. There's a difference between beating an old man who hasn't fought. fought in almost four years and beating the heavyweight champion of the world. Who did not, one of the most undeserving title fights of all time. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:44:30 And as I was very clear when we were talking here, I do not believe this is peak John Jones. You will have to acknowledge if he would lose, well, John's not his peak anymore. And that's fine. It's okay. It is not a sin to lose at fist fighting. And people can't seem to wrap their heads around it despite everyone doing it. Like father time is undefeated. If you fight the way you are supposed to fight, i.e., the toughest opposition forever, you're going to lose.
Starting point is 03:45:03 Guys, we're living in a world. We're living in a world where John Jones, you can make an argument. And if a twist of fate turned in certain ways would have four losses on his record right now. Yeah, it could have happened. The DQ lost to Matt Hamel. John Anick, amongst many others who I've talked to, believe he lost the T. I think the Tiago Santos fight. John Anick believes the Tiago Santos one was worse than the Dominic Gray's fight.
Starting point is 03:45:29 The night of, I scored it for Tiago Santos. Upon rewatch, I'm very comfortable saying John did win that fight. I thought John won as well. It's awful the way he won it because Tiago Santos did not have knees for four rounds. Yeah. But on rewatch, I definitely thought John won it live. I thought Tiago won it. But no issue with that.
Starting point is 03:45:47 The Dominic Reyes is the one that I have rewatched that fight several times. And none of my watchings have I thought John won. He lost that fight. And Anthony Smith could have taken the title. That would have been funny. So frankly, Chale Sondon was a minute and a half from taking the, like less than whatever it was. Again, acid all wins inside two minutes. John should have retired.
Starting point is 03:46:07 And shout out to John. I do think the thing he did for that fan was cool. I agree. It's not that everything John does is bad. And no one is saying that. The biggest baby face in the company right now. But like this, honestly, the Johns, the fans of John's, the fans of John. John Jones in this, and I could be wrong, you know, everybody has their own reasons to feel the way they do.
Starting point is 03:46:27 It feels very much to me like the Alex Pereira fans who don't want to see him fight. Magerman and Goliath. Magerman hasn't deserved it. You just, you know that there is a risk, not that he would lose because he can beat Tom. I would pick out. But you know that there is a risk to the loss and you would rather not take the risk. I understand that. I am a fan of fighters and think things like that the same.
Starting point is 03:46:52 you and it's okay. If he just said that from the beginning, we would be fine with it. He has touched on it. And I've also said, if he just bailed on the heavyweight title, I got no issues. If he says, I'm done, I'm going to go back to 205. None, no issues. Do what is best for your career. I get it. My issue has entirely been pretending that this is something other than what it is. And I think that that's reasonable. It's okay to be a prize fighter. Just say it. Colby Covington has been one of the best at it. Yeah. Honestly, like feel how you feel about Colby. Colby is one of the best prize fighters in UFC history. And I look at, look at his resume. Look at the guys he's beat. Yep. Is there a car like, just look at it.
Starting point is 03:47:36 He's fought guys at perfect times, Tyrone Woodley, Jorge Mazadol. He made rivals with fighters who were super over and had great things happening, but were beyond their problems. by a lot. And he went in there and beat him all and got overdoing it and made a lot of money. That's what prize fighting is. You take the most amount of money with the least amount of risk. Colby has done that his entire career. This Joaquin Buckley fight is the riskiest fight he has had in a long time.
Starting point is 03:48:10 Like true, utter risk with no belts, no, and just stakes in a totally different way. Colby's taking the hard fight. This is a hard fight that with a win doesn't, he doesn't gain a ton from it. Gaines nothing for this fight. He gains nothing from him. But if he loses, he's done. Like, that's a risk.
Starting point is 03:48:31 He's doing it. He hasn't done in a long time, but he is doing it here. Just do it. Like, look, go to the press conference and say, like, look, I'm going to fight Alex Pereira. Yeah. That's okay.
Starting point is 03:48:44 Tom's a champion. He was saying it in the pre-show, like in some of the pre-show. Respectually, y'all doing the same thing they're doing the Canello right now, and it's wrong. what do you are you are you fought all the best dudes uh tom out he hasn't called tom ass at all yet canelo is blatantly ducking yes and it again i we and i you will never hear me say that he
Starting point is 03:49:05 is scared of tom ass ball he is not 99 nine nine nine nine percent of fighters are not scared but it is a business decision and i i cannot stress this enough i don't begrudge him the business decision I begrudge him acting like I'm an asshole for calling it out. Exactly. You can simply say, as he kind of did, I would like to fight Alex Pereira because I'm older. And I think that this is a better fight for me. And I'll get a lot of money and it's easier. Just say Tom is very good at fighting.
Starting point is 03:49:36 I'd rather fight Alex. He could be the champion. Yeah. As opposed to, Tom doesn't deserve this problem. Yeah, that's the issue. It's just garbage. And that's the problem everybody has of it. Exactly.
Starting point is 03:49:47 That's the problem everybody has of it. If you are the champion of any weight class in the world, you are expected to defend your belt against the number one contender. And if Alex Pereira does not fight Magibat Angolive next and fights somebody else, if he fights, it's garbage. I've been saying that about Pereira for a while. It's garbage. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:50:05 Is Tom so the interim champ? Yes. Tom is, to the best of my knowledge, the interim champ. I don't think they've stripped him. No, they shouldn't. I mean, you know. The belt, like these belts are all meaningless anyways. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 03:50:17 They're props. they are props ultimately we will see if john if john gets the money if the ufc pays him i i'm sure casey's thinking it right now in the production booth like get paid john absolutely if you can leverage this to get an extra zero bond your paycheck all right freaking bully we got to get out of here we do because we have to get out of here uh post fight press conference going live in a matter of seconds. So we're getting out of here. Will the post fight show whenever the hell that happens?
Starting point is 03:50:47 I would say probably around 3.330 at this point, if we're lucky. But thank you all for watching. We appreciate you. John Jones, still the heavyweight champion. Let's see what his next move is. Charles Oliverer wins. And there you go. A crazy-ass weekend of fights is in the books.
Starting point is 03:51:02 More reactions to come. Now we can go cry because John wanted a good sign. Yes. We have time to cry before the post-fight presser. For Jed, I am Mike Eck. Casey on the ones and twos we're out of here love you all you're listening to the vox media podcast network
