Carlos Ulberg is the the new UFC light heavyweight champion, and did so after severely injuring his knee and knocking out Jiri Prochazka with one working leg. As impressive as that feat is, it may not be the big story of UFC 327 in the aftermath. Following a wild event in Miami, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to Ulberg's shocking knockout of Prochazka to win the title, who he could face next, and where the division could go if Ulberg is severely injured. And for the majority of the Yuri Parashka, Carlos Oldberg championship fight, we thought Yuri Pajaska was just moments away from becoming a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion.

Carlos Olberg hurts his knee. Yuri Pajasca is just levying him with some of the hardest leg kicks you have ever seen in your life, probably just two leg kicks away from winning the belt. and then out of nowhere, as Jedmishu says, into a live microphone on the watch party, there's just no way Carlos Olberg can win this fight with his leg compromise like this. Half a second later,

Carlos Olberg lands a left hook from hell, Uri Pajshka collapses onto the canvas, and Carlis Ulberg, Jedmishu, is the UFC light heavyweight champion of the world. This just happened a few minutes ago. you're no longer wearing your Miami attire. We have changed clothes. Funeral gear.

How are we feeling right now? It was very sad. Very sad, Michael. I had a really fun time tonight. The event was quite good. There were some down spots, but the main card was 80% awesome. There was a 20% that's quite bad,

which we may get to. And the main event was sad, but it was very impressive. and everyone knows that I'm about as big a year for Haska fan as there is in the world. And I thought he was walking to a win that he would not have liked that many people

would have been unsatisfied with. It would have been, okay, well, yeah, he won not quite as bad as the van one, right? Because the van one was so immediate and so fast. But every would have been like, yeah, he won, but Albert blew his knee out.

Let's let him run it back when O'Ber gets there. and then Erie made that not an issue at least by just walking headlong into a big left hook and I mean Joe Rogan started it he interviewed the year after and was like Yeri did you feel some sympathy some mercy and a concussed Jerry Prasca talked about how he took his foot off the gas and wasn't trying to attack him I don't think I agree I'll go back and watch because when we're doing the watch parties a lot's happening so maybe maybe a I saw plenty of people on Twitter also be like, looks like Yuri took his foot off the gas before the finish happened.

So maybe that was a thing, and I'm not giving it as much credit. But my major takeaway from this is to credit Carlos Olberg. Because yes, if you want to say Yeri threw that away, I think there's absolutely an argument for that. But at the end of the day, Carlos Alberg found a way to get his hand raised despite really dire circumstances. because honestly, if that fight just goes to the corner, his corner might stop it and be like, hey, man, you can't walk out there.

It's unfortunate, but, you know, if we stop it between rounds because you blew out your ACL, you can save face from maybe getting hurt, you know, if you keep fighting. And instead, he made none of that an issue. And so my big takeaway will be to credit Carlos Olberg, while acknowledging there are criticisms to be levied elsewhere. But, like, that Alberg stepped up when it mattered in a very, real way, so good on him. Yeah.

I mean, I think my initial takeaway, and I'll probably have to do the same thing and go back and rewatch it. And obviously, I see the criticism. And I really didn't like the way Rogan frame that question about letting you fire down. Never interview the losers, man.

Just never do it. Yeah, you just gave him sort of a built-in excuse and it makes them look even worse, in my opinion. And I don't think that's what Joe is like intentionally trying to do. Maybe with producers in his ear saying like, almost certain. question. My thing wasn't like he have felt mercy.

My thing was Yuri just played around too much. Like he was yelling. He was doing the point down thing. Like he literally just needed to kick him in the legs like two more times and win. But instead he's like, get over here and let's fight. Like it just became, he just messed around too much. I think the argument is that messing around was mercy because he recognized that old Burke had an injured knee.

And so, because I saw some of this and he was pointing down to be like, okay, if you can't move, just stands still. just stop moving away, stand still, and you and I can punch. I don't know if that's true or not. I never interview the loser is my, unless it's like the retirement fight, okay. I don't know if Yuri will even stand by what he said in there. He's just got his brain clattered around. So they really framed it in a way that was very beneficial to Yuri Parashka.

And I just don't think you needed to. And again, as big a Yuri fan as there is, in the world. I think you can let the criticisms of him being, you know, making poor choices exist. But you could also just be like, man, especially the broadcast could just celebrate Carlos

Olberg for overcoming adversity. Ironically, I said as he walked out, look at that handsome man. Has he ever overcome any adversity in his life? He's never even been rejected at the bar. And that man overcame some very real adversity to hoist the belt. So good on him.

The rifle champion. clear win got it done you're a game at opening and he took it he just obliterated him it's not like you know carl's collapsed to the ground and yuri just became the champion like that's definitely different than the van situation um which i also believe the van win is a legitimate win too it's unfortunate it is it's legit it just is legitimate win but all berg on one leg and just just the timing of it as you said like there's this is no way to Carl's can win this fight like this and then he just sleeps them. It was second.

It was genuinely when you cut the clip it there's going to be like maybe three second gap between me and me like well olberg can't throw punches so he can't win anymore and then boom it's it's so fast I rogan so hard. Yeah. Unbelievable stuff. Congratulations to Carlos Oldberg. He is the champion of the world and. for now.

I don't know that he's staying champion. Saw some reports from some of the doctors online. It appears, and you know, they don't know because they don't get to take an x-ray or an MRI, but based on the way Oldberg's knee snapped, it seems like he probably at least tore his ACL. That's nine months on the shelf. You know, for better or worse,

Yeri Perashka is the man who started the, if I'm going to be out for a long, time belt goes up, they may, they may lean on a Carlos and be like, hey, man, you can fight the winner, but we're going to put the belt on Paulo Costa versus Yerabrajka or whatever it is. So maybe, maybe, maybe he keeps it, but I don't, he's not fighting again this year. I will be plumb surprised if he fights again this year. Yeah, but like, they shouldn't let, I want to be super. clear.

Year per Hasco should not fight for the belt next. I'm just saying that is a thing that the UFC might do. I would firmly disagree with that. Again, biggest year fan of the world. He should not be the guy. But if Oberst is going to be out for a year, they might take it off him. I see some people saying they're doing interim belt

who Costa versus Ankylaif. Maybe they do that instead, but they're not going to do that. They're done with Ankylaif, man. They do not want to be in the Ankylaif and the championship. you picked your business. Early out dropped. Angolaev is a minus 200 some odd favorite over Carlos Oldberg. Saw that.

So, yeah, I think Angolive's going to have to fight again. Look, if Pereira... They're going to go Costa before Ankaa life without question. If Pereira loses to Cyril Ghan, they are going to strip Ulberg and have Pereira fight Hamzaat for the vacant

belt. That will happen. Maybe. just will happen. Oh. So. Yeah, maybe they just do,

they could just do Hamza. Only if Pereer loses. Prayer wins. They could just do Hamzaa versus Costa for the interim. Or maybe, again, if Hamzaat's coming up, I think they're just going to put a belt on an interim belt.

Because they've shown, they've put a prayer in an interim title fight. Yeah, but that's because they can't really strip Tom because they let John have the belt forever. But like they have, I mean, the standard at light heavyweight is now. If you're out for nine months, the belt is off of your ass.

So I, it's not fair. I genuinely just think they're going to take the belt off. I hope they don't, because as long as he's back within a year, I think it'd be fine, but he's, he's going to be out for about a year at least. I would assume maybe we're all wrong. Maybe his knee is fine. But I just, I am seeing the vision.

Hamzaa Chimaev, maybe it's, It's Paulo Costa for the vacant light heavyweight title. And Carlos Solberg can fight the winner. And I will, I will bet anyone, anything you want. If Alex Pereira loses, they are a billion percent doing Alex Pereira homes up. Shemaya for the vacant light heavyweight out. Prayer wins, maybe not. Prayer loses a happening, boys.

Unbelievable stuff. Overall, like, this was a great, like, I had a great time. It's a really good time. This is really good. Like, I was literally one thing that was not fun. tonight. That was it. And I didn't see all the undercards and some of that. You'll have to speak a little more on.

I missed a lot of it, quite frankly, though some of the results seemed pretty interesting. But from what I watched tonight, I was also covering boxing earlier. So I missed a lot of fights. From all the MMA I watched tonight, only one thing was bad. Everything else was various levels of good.

And some of it was very, very good. Yes. And we'll get to the very, very good at a minute. But we'll see what happens with Carlos Oldberg. Wait to see what's, of injury it actually is. We probably won't know for several days at this point. So unless, you know, maybe Dana, maybe it's something they can figure out right away. I don't know when he goes to the hospital.

I don't know if we'll see Carl Solberg at the post-by press conference. Perhaps who will. I bet he goes because his injury is not one that needs immediate medical attention and he would want to get to speak to media as a champ. So I'm going to guess Alberg goes to the presser. So congratulations to him. What do we do with Yeriparajka now? He's in a weird spot.

He's gotten four title fights. He did cash in the first one against Glover-Teshirea, but he has been not... He's been brutally knocked out. Maybe the greatest fight of all time, just so we're clear. Yes.

He's been brutally knocked out in three straight title fights. Pretty tough. It's not great. Not a great job. It's not great, Bob. I know he's very popular. The way he lost this fight, not great.

I mean, this is about the worst case of error for him. It's about as bad as you could lose a fight. I'm not sure anyone's ever lost a fight. worse than Yerry to tonight. Because how many fighters have lost fights that they could not like, if Yuri simply just didn't do anything for the remainder

of that fight, I think there's a better than 50% chance he wins because I think if it just goes to the corner, Carlos Sahlberg's corner might be like, dude, you can't fight him with one knee. We're stopping it. City kickboxing are smart about that. They're not, you know, like, they don't

play around like, hey man, it's unfortunate but okay. Maybe they still send him out there. Maybe it still happens, but like, it's about as bad a loss as you can imagine having in the sport realistically. Really bad. Do you think he goes, do you think he's done at 205? Do you think he tries 185 now after this? No, I don't want him to.

I think 205 is correct the division. It's not like we haven't seen him show the ability to be a little more measured. Like, you fall a clue around tree and didn't walk into a left hook like he did tonight like he just and again he literally took a round and a half off in that fight and again i just i don't i'm sure i believe that there probably is some credence to the idea that once alberg got hurt yurie's brain short circuit a little bit and how to approach the fight but i'm not willing to

use that as an excuse call us olberg won the fight we've seen yerry be better than he was tonight this was not his best effort and he got punitive very violently for it. But, like, I don't, changing weight classes is not the solve here. I mean, we could just get him and DDP and that rock. I mean, two-year children fighting.

Look, I've always one of them. RDR is moving up to 205 if they booked that. I'm a okay with year you fighting RDR. That would be great. Robert Whitaker's moving up to 205. Everyone's moving up to 205. Robert Whitaker would be pretty fun one, frankly. That might make a lot of sense.

is like a legend versus legend fight champ versus champ that would be fine because the other thing is Yeri hasn't fought like everybody at 205 anyway so like

do it and if they're not going to give Angoli have a title fight screw it like Yeree fight Angolive see what happens he'll probably get knocked out but like see see so

I don't want him to go down I would like him to take some time off as pretty nasty knockout go enjoy being a father I think he's going to be a father. Sounds like Tuesday, though sometimes those things come earlier. But maybe fatherhood, we've heard the stories of fatherhood changing people all the time. Maybe he has a, not a Joe Pfeiffer-esque change of heart about the Bushido spirit,

but maybe his daughter, Sarko, whatever we decided she was going to be called as born. And he's like, I must still have the Bushido spirit, but now I must learn defense. isn't that like that's some mighty ducks I was like isn't one of the Kung Fu Panda movies like he has to learn the art of defense but that's actually the third

Mighty Ducks movie they have to learn how to play defense take out of the trash yeah but like maybe that's it he has a daughter and he's like I want to be around for my daughter forever I need to stop getting hit

in the face so much I will go into the mountains and I've spent all my time in the mountains training against trees and as Bruce Lee once famously paraphrased, trees don't hit back. So he's got to go find a tree who will hit back

and learn defense. And then he comes back stronger and better than ever. Yeah. Maybe he's thinking Mighty Ducks 1, concentration not strength, soft hands. Soft hands. Everything is about soft hands. Soft hands will carry you through life.

You don't stop the pass. You cradle. Accept it. That's how you do it. I swear, I haven't watched like the Kung Fu Pandas like committed. I've like seen pieces of them. with my little cousins or whatever. I saw the first one, but like the other ones,

I swear one of them is like, Po has to learn defense. And that's Yuri. Yeri is Po. Yes. He must learn defense. Although he was very defensively sound in the Khalil fight. That's why I was like,

oh, he's going to do well against Carlos. And frankly, he was defensively sound in this fight until the very end when he came and he had his right hand here and his left hand out here, which is a whole change. to put the one punch Carlos Olberg can throw at this point.

And he ate it. He's the same. I love me. He brought Mighty Ducks 3 and everyone's like me. You already need to learn two-way MMA. Two-way hockey. Look, yeah, play two-way hockey. Defense wins championships, baby.

I think of that. That movie is not good. It is easily the worst of the Mighty Ducks films by a wide margin. It's bad. It's quite bad. And the whole premise is stupid. Even though the premise of the first Mighty Ducks is also quite dumb. And like, somebody did like a YouTube video.

It was like Gordon Bombay scored 190 goals in youth hockey. He's averaging a goal every two minutes. That's two goals. Two goals of shifts. It doesn't matter if you miss his one playoff thing. He would still be Gretzky. So like all the Mighty Ducks movies are silly. But for whatever reason, the like that the defense thing is always stuck with me.

And it's just like, that's what year he needs. A grizzled veteran coach. to teach him how to play defense with like the silliest stupidest drills of all time he scored 197 goals in 10 games yeah i was like okay he scored 20 goals a game you you missed one playoff goal when you were eight and that ruined your holy shot you didn't even lose the game just hit the post it's very it's very it's very silly film very three is the worst but i will always remember him dumping trash and i'm just hitting trash like this isn't good coaching but that's what you're he needs you need somebody to dump trash

from him and make him block it as it falls. Oh my gosh. Well, congratulations to Carl Solberg. Genuinely, like, Hugh J. Perashka fan, but that was very cool from Carlos Solberg, and you got to respect it. It was a nasty knockout.

That's probably going to be, that's going to be high up on the knockout of the year list. One-legged, literally a leg kick away from losing, maybe his only chance to win a title. he's not a young I mean yeah he's not young 36 37 35 maybe I don't know he's up there I mean I it is middle 8 I think because of the weirdness and because like heavyweight's so bad that if if he had just gone to the corner I'm like yeah I blew up my ACL they probably would have they wouldn't have given an immediate shot but they'd have given him one all right be one dude

and we'll let you get another cracker at it but he made that relevant because he will be championed forever now yeah good on him maybe he fights paolo costa next in uh A handsome guy. Yeah, I mean, the handsomest fight since Costa versus Luke Rockhold. Man, Paula Costa, what a weird fight.

Up and down we go, Paulo Costa has a real solid first round. Merza Kanoff decides, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to start ripping the body. And boy, did he, he was making Paul real uncomfortable.

And then one of my, like, again, I'm not a technical mastermind. Once a while I could see things. I was like, you know what Paul Costa do? you should probably kick him in the face

because that's like wide open for him. Start around three, Paul Costa kicked him right in the frigging face and hurt him bad. Then he kicked him in the body a couple of times. They kicked him in the face a couple more times. And Paul Costa, not only hands,

Azamat Mirzikanaf, his first loss, finishes him. And now is in a terrific spot right now when it comes to this light heavyweight division, whether Carl's Oldberg can compete in the realistic near future or not, Paul Costa is probably going to be in the conversation for some sort of title next unless like Alex Pereira and Hamzad is like somewhat available and they can work that out

but Costa could not be in a better place right now moving up to this new division might even have just snuck himself into a title fight pretty damn good night for Boracchina was it not very good night I just do not believe he stuck himself into a title fight I'll believe that happens when it happens, but I can't imagine beating Osamot, Mersakanav gets you there. But, I mean, the questions I had in coming into this fight were, is Paula Kerr? It just doesn't seem like he's that motivated or invested in fighting.

He mostly is just trying to make memes and joke around on Twitter. He hasn't really looked that committed. He looked pretty decent, and it's Koppelov, but, like, not that long ago he was blowing weight against Warman of a totalist, and having them change the thing on fight week. Just where was his focus? Suddenly now he's moving up to 205 after this sort of kind of long spot.

It felt weird. And Osamant Mirzikana had been on such a role. And even in fight week, Costa didn't feel engaged. Like he locked in a little bit as it got a little closer. But it felt more like he was just selling the fight going through some motions,

but not really focused. But, that matter come fight night he had a very strong opening round i merzicanov storm back in the second the momentum was all with merzikanov i thought paula costa was getting gassed and gonna just falter down the stretch and instead he he came out firing the third put head kicks up immediately hurt him and just didn't let off the gas and ended up finishing i mean this is the best win for paula costa arguably ever and certainly in a very long time. Yeah.

We have bonuses, Jed. Okay. Can't take a guess. Fight of the night is very obviously. There's no chance you get this all right. Fight of the night is very obviously hokeyed and blitz. Yes. A performance bonus should go to Carlos Solberg.

Yes. And the other performance bonus. Let me, let me look through the card in my head because I can't pull up the card now because I don't think that Dominic Reyes and Nangeloz and Nangelo then got a bonus. That doesn't feel like they... I don't think Dominic Graz and Joddy Walker got a bonus.

I don't think Domitza. They might have to find him. We're going to put a pin... I don't... I mean, if they gave Costa, that would be bad. Possible, but I'm not going to guess that. I'm going to put a pin in Cubby Swanson because I would like them to give Cubby a bonus.

I don't know that they would have. What happened earlier in the card? I didn't see either the Gamma or the Tatiana, so I can't say that. Kevin Holland went to the cards. Who fought after Kevin Opeko went to the cards. Oh, Pico went to the card. cards of no

Chuck Buffalo didn't do anything that should got a bonus I'm gonna say it's Cub Swanson. Luke A stopped Kevin, Calvin Gassum in the first round. He did, but I'm going to say it's

Cub Swanson. No. Is it Tatiana Suarez? No. Did they really give it to freaking Paula Costa? No. Matush camera? Nope.

Is it Luque? Nope. What other fight happened? They gave us a Josh choke it. They gave him a performance and a fight of the night. So AK just walking to a win. How do you give him a performance bonus for that?

You gave him fight of the night. That's so silly. That's incredible. AK just celebrating. Well, congratulations, AK, who's one fantasy. This is unbelievable. This is the greatest draft. They never give bonuses for,

like non-finishes, especially when there are finishes. Again, a good performance, but you celebrate that with the win. Like he got the win and he got the fight of the night. That's insane. That's wild, man. Especially for a guy that Dana White clearly doesn't really like that much. That's wild. I can't believe that happened.

I truly can't believe it. You were right when you said you never get. I was like, no. I wasn't even remotely thinking about that. That's sick. I mean, we literally ran through. like every possible scenario

every other finish on the card and they're like nah screw it dude send give comey 100k on his way out he put the boots to nat landwear seven million dollar gate a 10 17,74741 I do not believe that for a single solitary second that they sold

17,000 of tickets no chance this is definitely not a sellout so I hope he didn't claim that let's see if there's anything else he said uh white says an hour for Hockett versus Blades. Trump asked why Derek Lewis wasn't on the White House card.

So White called Lewis asked if we want to be on the card. Rogan mentioned Hoket should be on the White House card. Hocke had agreed to face Lewis when he was going into the ambulance. See, so Rogan said Hokeet should be on the White House card. I get not no point, Mike. I said in the first round and then even after the fight was over in Hokeet won, I said, Josh Hocott versus Derek Lewis, you scoffed at me. And look at us now, boys.

In this economy, I'm a rich man with that. No point. Auto point's hard to come by. White says it would absolutely suck if an injury kept Hoked off of the White House card, but he hasn't received any news as of yet that would suggest that. I don't know what he'd be injured. I mean, like he's beat up, but. This is Aaron Bronsetter, by the way.

He's very good at this. White thinks that there are no easy fights for Gable Steven and the UFC and they do not have an opponent for him yet. I never envisioned that fight looking like that. It was so much fun. Mike, if I had told him, you. I told you yesterday, we were talking, that there is a non-zero chance that come Saturday

Curtis Blades might end up being UFC Hall of Famer. You would have looked at me and I'm like, how? What is going to happen on Saturday that he is going to be the Hall of Famer? Because you never would have gotten to he's going to have the fight of the year.

But that is the fight of the year right now. I don't know if it'll hold up. It might. A fight was. bananas and that's just like it was the most fun Curtis plates has ever been and credit to josh hoak it not remotely how i thought he could compete in that fight and yet he did unbelievable stuff bad just heart and soul uh even hockett's post fight speech like was not terrible like it was fine it was fine um this is a great night for him like he moved away from casual

bigotry and just did like the rhyming thing you know if we're critiquing it i would say it's a little too long. Again, like, if you're trying, you want to be a little pithier, if you're trying to have like a quotable moment and he, he dragged it on a little bit, but he didn't do like a rehash. He did his whole spiel and must be tough to remember that after getting punched 200 times in head and then just walked it off. So good, you know, like I said this in the entire lead up to the fight. Josh Hockett isn't necessarily to my taste, but I have, been crediting him more than most for trying, even if I don't always love the way he's trying. And you can dislike it, but it is working because he got this fight because of it.

And this fight was a big opportunity. And ultimately, the proof would be in the pudding. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If he goes out here and loses the Curtis blades, then whatever, then it all falls apart. But if he wins, now he's over. And he is over. The amount of people who were sold on this fight, not because of anything Hokit said before or after,

gave a shit about that, but we were just like, okay, respect. The dude's a dog. He did it. The most important thing of fighting is always fighting. Other things are important. The most important thing is fighting. And he delivered in a very big way.

And he's one, went away from fighting for a title now. Maybe not one, because I don't think they give him a title shot if he beat Sarah Lewis. But crazier things have happened. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it kind of just depends on who's the champion. If it's Cyril gone, they probably will throw them in there pretty quickly.

We do have Tom Aspin also. Like, there's just kind of a weird line. So, like, I think Waldo is right there. And if Waldo beats Volkov, like, he should absolutely get a title shot. But he won't because of the log jam right now. So winner of that probably fights the WCA Volkov winner, or Hokka probably fights the winner of that fight. if he beat saraq lewis seems like what they would do but what a great night for josh oaken man

i and i there are things he did that would be really impressive man like the heart of obviously uh he's going to learn some lessons it's also going to take a little bit off of his career because he got hit a whole frigging bunch but he's never was his first fight against a good fighter and the good fighter for presented a ton a ton of resistance and we saw that i think josh oka is going to have problems as he moves up. I think he's straight up just too small for this division. Curtis Blade is not much of a thumper and he was hurting Josh Hokit pretty severely. I think that will be a problem for Hokit.

But when he wasn't put out, when he didn't suffer so much damage that his brain shut off, you saw that Hokit is made of grit, that he just kept coming forward. When he was getting hurt and getting killed, he just kept charging. and that is a very good quality to have if he can just find a way to not fight like Sergey Pavlovich who I think might actually hurt him quite badly yeah probably avoid that one at this point I think Sergey Pavich is I mean you know like Aspinall would be pretty tough

Pavlovich be pretty tough but he's also like 12 fights into his career so he can have some time to develop a little bit more too yeah that's why I was like a little bit Josh Rogen is much better than Tommy McMillan bonfish yeah much better than Tomlin mcmillan beat the probably one of the five worst fighters on the roster uh and almost lost that fight yeah at times so like with big villain i think they're gonna try to do something with him um but it is going to be a slow burn with him they're going to do the patty thing with him different just like that's the right way to he's gonna fight

if you're gonna try and build this way yeah he'll go fight the john yannis when john yannis loses next week in Winnipeg, like that's who Tommy McMillan's going to fight next. And then it's just going to be like those types of dudes. Eventually they'll give him a little bit of a step up to like a more known name. They'll find a Jordan Leavitt of some

And I'll tell you what impressed me the most about Josh Hockets. And I wasn't just the heart in the fight being so fucking awesome. It was the fact that, like, even when Curtis and that first, round. Hokit heard him. Curtis heard him back real bad. And then got him on the ground and had his back multiple times. Hokut just stood right up.

No issues whatsoever. Hsu's fake. Just stand up. JGJT too is not real. Just stand up. It was pretty wild. So great night for Hocke. It could not have gotten any better, honestly.

A guy with a guy who was very chiny and gets not, and like any time he got hit in the face hard by anybody that was decent, he got knocked out. So it was like a set up fight and then ended up being horrifically bad. But man, Rayis Walker was really bad. I mean, there's just no one had fun. Crowd booing, this is boring. That fight is so bad that if they,

weren't ranked and had long 10 years in the UFC. If that was just like a prelim fight of guys who had one or two fights, they would both be let go. Yeah, Reyes. 100%. They would just be like, all right,

you guys get out of here. Zero percent chances that was a contender series fight. Dana's given a contract to the winner. Yikes. It was a really bad fight. Really bad fight. And that, I mean,

Kevin Holland got a win against Randy Brown. That was an interesting fight. Yeah, it was a weird one. I learned very little watching that fight. Yeah, Randy Brown just sort of felt like he just fell off a cliff in the second round. Like when Holland got the dars, once Randy got up, it just seemed like Randy didn't have anything left to offer. Yeah.

I don't know if that just defending, not getting choked out, took too much out of him. But Randy started, I thought, quite well, despite us being wrong. And I think two or three of the judges had it 30-27s. But, yeah, man, it was a good fight. You know, that's a top 25-ish fight. We didn't learn much. Good fight. Yes.

Matush Gamrod. Not only wins. I haven't seen this, but apparently quite good. Not only wins, but he gets a finish. Gets a finish in the fight. Dude, I don't. I mean, honestly, great. And I have been higher on Matush, I think, than most people.

But I picked Estevon coming into this because I was like, Rievovich is young, he's ascending. And at some point, this sort of entrenched class of lightweights just has to give. They've got to stop beating the up-and-comers. And they don't. refuse to give to yield ground. And I thought Gamrod's like probably at this stage, the worst of this group of like entrenched lightweights.

And he just apparently just kind of cooked him. So lightweight's going to be the same 20 people at the top of it forever, apparently, and nobody knew we'll ever get to break in. That's just, I guess that's how it's going to be. Yeah. The lightweight vets are just, it's really incredible. you know, Poy retired,

It's a very good event near great. But it's not an A plus. It's not 290. It's not 300. It's not. When we were talking about a main card fight that was one of the worst of the year, it just can't be an A plus. No.

which is great I thought the main event was fantastic it was good but we had the worst fight of the year two of the worst fights of the year and another really really bad fight the fight that was it was awful but we forgot about it because MVP Patterson was so bad yeah London was horrific

that was a bad that was a bad card we're on a good run the last two apex cards were good let's see hopefully Winnipeg will be good 114. UFC Vegas 114 is one of the three best cards of the year. 115 was good, but because the bar was so low, I can't put it in the same mix as Michael Bisbing and all them, saying it was like the best card of the year.

We had fun. We had a good time. We had a good time. That's the thing. This was fun and there are things that I will remember for the remainder of the year and our substantive. Last week it was fun and literally nothing mattered. That is just not the case here.
