All right, everybody.
The victory horns sound loud and proud for one, Lorone, the miracle, Murphy.
He remains undefeated, defeats Josh Emmett in the main event, capping off.
It's pretty forgettable UFC Vegas 105.
I think that's like the kindest way I can put it.
Obviously, there are some good things that happened, but there were a lot of things that
happened that we're not really going to talk about come Monday and mostly because of the timing of this card because
UFC 314 fight week is officially here and I know everybody's excited about that people want to say we're negative yet yada yada yada but you can't be negative about ufc 314 that card absolutely slaps and just get us to that as quickly as possible but we are here to talk about ufc Vegas 105 and what transpired at the mighty apex and
And I'm Mike Eck by the way.
And joining me to do exactly that as my fellow New Englander,
fellow Red Sox fan, the world traveler.
In fact, he's gonna be heading to the airport
in about six hours to fly to Miami for the aforementioned
UFC 314.
He is the one and only Jose Youngs.
There he is.
How are we doing, Jose?
How are we feeling?
East Coast.
I'm very tired.
That was a lot of wrestling to watch today.
And I remember like right around six o'clock
I'm like, oh, wow, it was going to be a long night.
And I agreed to do the post show.
God help me.
Like, the one time I hope my plane is delayed,
so I don't have to rush to the airport.
Well, unfortunately, that did not happen.
But Leroux Murphy won a fight tonight.
His second UFC made event takes on a very dangerous guy in Josh Jemitt,
first fight in 16 months.
And I was on the preview show,
and I try to put out positive vibes.
I said, this fight is going to be,
at the end of the year,
we're going to look at this fight
like we looked at
Brennan Allen versus Chris Curtis too,
which is going to be a great fight
in the apex,
great main event,
Lorone Murphy's going to squeak out
a decision,
and both guys are going to shine.
It's going to be one of those things,
just putting it out into the universe,
like good, positive vibes.
That's not really what we got here.
It was just a very tactical fight on both sides.
I scored at 49, 46 for Lorone Murphy.
I gave him the first four rounds.
I gave Josh Shemit round five.
I wasn't,
overly confident with that.
Could have very easily been five rounds to none for Lerone Murphy the way I saw it.
But it was a fight.
Lerone Murphy went in there and won.
And I guess that's the most important thing.
But all in all,
what do you grade Lerone Murphy in his performance tonight?
Because a win is a win.
And like I said,
he gets the second half of his check and he gets to take Josh Schemitt's ranking spot now.
I mean,
he gets the second half of his paycheck too.
Most importantly, he gets a little win bonus.
So, how would I grade Lorone Murphy?
I mean, he proved he belongs on the top 10, top seven.
That fight was like a less exciting version of the Calvin Cater, Josh Emmett fight.
Maybe that's because it was in a bigger ring with the crowd.
I don't know.
But it seemed like Calvin Cater and Josh had like a bang of a fight.
And it seems like there were glimpses of that.
But I mean, Lorone clearly won the activity.
Like he was moving the most and he was landing a lot.
So if you judge of the fight as a whole, Lorone Murphy probably won.
But all the highlights I feel probably belonged to Josh Emmett.
You know, the big slam.
It seems like the hardest punches were landed by him, the takedowns.
He was scoring.
So when you think of this fight, you're going to think of all the moments Josh Emmett had.
But then you watch the fight as a whole.
And it seemed like Lorone Murphy was just kind of piecing him up from the outside and circling away, not the most exciting fight.
And like you said, before we went on, just the timing of it was a late night.
It was right in the middle of the final four.
in the apex.
Didn't help that. It seems like Josh
Emmett's family and friends were
at the apex. So
they were all booing Lorone Murphy's
win. So even though the crowd wasn't
there, they were still drowning out
his post-fight interview, you just
don't want. So
good win
for Lorone in terms of name value
and moving up in the rankings, but optically
probably not
what you want to see just because it
wasn't like we're not,
There's no highlight. We're not going to be talking about this in 24 hours. We're going to be looking ahead of the 314. This isn't, you know, the back-to-back apex fight. The last two apex made events we had have not been overly ideal. Lorone just keeps winning, and he keeps winning. He's just not putting people away. And when was the last not stoppage when he had? Was that the Americani K.O. Back in Abu Dhabi. And that was the, I think it was the knee. And before that, it was probably the Ricardo Hamos fight.
he's slowly getting into that Hafeuella Sunceau category
where he keeps winning,
but you can't really remember anything about his fights,
which is not a knock on him.
He's doing what he has to do.
But again, like, I say that.
But there's a lot of people that thought Dan Igey won that fight in Abu Dhabi
against Laroa.
I was one of those.
And there's probably a lot of people that thought Josh Hema won this fight.
So there's a real world.
Well, I don't, just based on.
the internet I'm saying.
There's a lot.
That's probably because they just thought it was a boring fight.
And they were upset that Lorone wasn't standing and banging.
But there's a world where Lorone Murphy is not 16 and 0.
He's 15 and 1, maybe 15 and 2.
Because I think the Gabriel Santos fight was a split, if I remember correctly.
So there's a world where he has two, three losses.
And he's not undefeated.
So good win, name value wise.
But again, there's nothing we're going to, we're not going to be talking about this fight in 24 hours.
And it's wild because when he fought Edson Barbosa,
he looked incredible in that fight.
He didn't finish him,
but he just beat the shit out of him.
Like, almost the whole fight.
Like, it started off kind of hairy for him,
but then he got his footing on him.
He just beat the hell out of that guy.
I remember that post show just being like,
holy shit, like this guy,
we got to keep an eye on him.
And then the Ege fight happens,
gets dropped in the first round,
could have been a draw.
A lot of people,
I actually watching it live during the watch party,
he thought he won that fight.
But he comes back and gets a win.
And that's the most important thing.
And I got to say, maybe Mark Shapiro is right, Jose.
Maybe the apex is mighty because the loudest the apex has ever been
was when Lorone Murphy was doing his post-fight interview.
And Josh Emmett's family and friends and whoever else is there,
like just everybody turned on him.
And Murphy was clapping back at him.
So it was nice to see a little bit of energy in the old apex when it was all said and done.
So where does the Roe Murphy go from this win?
Because I feel like, I feel like he's sort of in Belal territory right now where he's really good.
And we could see him win in a bunch of fights.
But we were talking about it on the previous show, like, what are the stakes in this fight?
And we felt like there's a chance that the winner gets a like a title eliminator,
potentially just based on what this division looks like.
But I don't see a world where that happens here.
So, like, what do we do with him right now?
I mean, there's a bunch of featherweight fights that are about to happen in seven days.
So I'm sure we might have answers.
Like, he could fight the loser of, I mean, if John Silver wins, it'd be a fun fight.
Maybe the winner of the John Silva Mitchell fight.
That'd be just a bank, like, especially if it's John Silva.
I don't think he can be in a boring fight.
Not to say Lorone Murphy's a boring fight, but he's a guy that'll bring the fight to
Lorone Murphy.
and they're just so, just so totally different people.
He could fight Arnold Allen,
especially if they do a big fight night in London.
Again, you know, two Brits in the main event of a fight night.
I think that'd be really fun.
You could fight the loser, V.I.R. and Pitbull.
You could fight Al Jemaine Sterling.
I just don't want him to fight.
Like, the last three fights he's had,
I think we talked about it on between the links.
Like he fought Barbosa, his best performance he ever had,
the same day
like the same time Fury and Usik
were about to fight and then the
Dan Igay fight it was
kind of sandwiched
between it was on the main card
but every fight on that main card was
had big storylines coming out of it you had the
shard bullet double spinning back fist
and then you had Lorone Murphy winning
a controversial win over Dan Igay
then you had I think
Ankaliev cementing number one
contender status Hamza breaking
Robert Whitaker's jaw and then
Eliot's Porta knocking out Max Holloway.
Everything I talked about, Lorone Murphy is never going to be mentioned in like the biggest
winners of the pay-per-view card.
And then he fights right in the middle of one of the most exciting final four
comebacks to Levercy.
Just the timing of his fight is just always, is just such a bummer.
But I think ask me what to do Lorone Murphy in eight days after UFC 314 will probably
have a better idea.
Yeah, I think maybe the Silva Mitchell winner probably is a really good chance.
Yeah.
And yeah, but Silva, that's interesting
because silver was not the biggest featherweight in the world
and Murphy's a gigantic featherweight.
Like he just so much bigger than Josh in there.
They was able to just keep that range,
use the jab.
Calf kicks are nasty.
They just were kind of few and far between
as this fight went on.
So good win for Lerone.
I mean, you could also.
What would be a really fun fight, like stylistically,
it's not going to happen because I think Lerone
is just ahead of him.
But like, the other guy,
that just doesn't lose lately is Sean Woodson.
If he gets a win,
it would be a fun fight.
It's not going to happen because Lorone is just ahead of him in the rankings,
but those two guys just keep winning.
And they're not like Sean Woodson obviously had the big finish in Tampa,
if I remember.
I think you were there for that one.
And Lorone just keeps on winning.
Those two guys, they keep winning.
They're going to have to fight eventually,
and they're two freakishly tall featherweights.
Yeah, if Sean Woodson goes out,
there and just dominates Dan Igay, like he's going to have a lot of momentum heading out of
that card.
If Sean Woodson does what Lorone Murphy couldn't do and knocks out Dan Igay, gets on the mic
and goes, Laurel Murphy, I just did what you couldn't do.
Face me.
Let's do it, man.
Main event, main event Atlanta.
Oh, interesting.
All right.
I dig that.
So, yeah, Lorone Murphy gets a win.
We'll see what's next for him.
Pat Savatini gets a dominant win over Jaron, St.

Chang-Houli versus Cortavius Romeo.
That was actually a really fun fight.
If there's one thing I wish.
Fun little scrambles in there.
Yeah, good stuff.
Chang-Halee gets the finish in round two.
Probably the breakout performance.
I'm sure he's going to get a bonus.
We're still waiting on bonuses.
Brad DeVars defeats Gerald Mearschart.
Very middle-weighty, but a job well done for Brad Tavars.
O'Day Osborne gets the knockout over Luis Garul,
his first loss.
That was just a nasty left hook.
And then he kind of took his time and waited the end.
even said in this post-fight interview that, you know, I made the mistake against lazy boy,
just jumped right in. I kept hitting him and I kind of woke him up. I just wanted to make sure
gruel was like really, really hurt, waited for the right spot, gets him out of there.
But let's talk about Jose, the thing that is going, I honestly think this is going to be the biggest
takeaway of this entire card. And I think this is where this is where most of the interest was
in terms of like web traffic was, social media, et cetera. The UFC debut of Torres Fiddy.
He comes in, gigantic favorite against Robert Valentin.
I go on Twitter and I'm like, it's Torres Finney time, everybody.
This dude, I'm telling you, I've watched some of his early fights.
Dude is a monster.
It was on the contender series three times over the last couple of years.
Finally he gets a contract.
It's a quick finish.
And you never know which version of Torres Finney you're going to get.
Chances are he's going to win the fight that he's in.
But there's no gray area with him.
It's either it's going to be a sloggy slog-slog,
or he just obliterates the guy that he fights.
And unfortunately, through the viewing audience,
we got the sloggy-slog-slag-slag-slag version of Torres-Finney,
who landed four significant strikes throughout this entire fight
and wins a split decision.
And Tony Week scores the fight 3027 for Robert Valentin,
which is wild and social media
and the M.A world has been just going crazy
in regards to this. And that is why
even no disrespect to Lerone Murphy, this fight,
that scorecard, what Torres Fidney did today
is going to be the biggest takeaway from this card,
at least in my opinion.
What is your reaction to the main card opener,
Finney's performance,
the scorecard, the 3027 for Robert Valentin?
What are your thoughts on it?
I mean,
I'll tell you what.
A lot of the...
It was a bad scorecard.
I think even Brandon Fitzgerald said it was insane.
The fighter reactions and the coach's reactions on like pros reactions were equally as like shocks.
If you go on our social medias and read all the comments, all of them are like, yeah, I agree with that scorecard.
That fight sucks.
But Torres Finney.
so it's a weird situation
where it seems like everyone that
knows what they're watching
is obviously barely thought that was insane
and all the fans that tuned in
that are just pissed at how that fight played out
were like yeah Valentine won
three rounds to nothing
he did the most damage he threw eight punches
instead of four something like that
you see what I'm saying but you know what I'm saying
all the fans all the fans are just spiteful
and agreeing with 3027 for Valentine's
but even
like Jeff Molina tweeted
like a yawn emoji
Casey O'Neill was like this is a tough fight to watch
Dylan Danis
tweeted like fighter
cut
Taurus Finney and then retweeted himself
an hour later as Dylan Danis likes to do
tough watch
real tough watch to have
four significant strikes
I know that's crazy man
that is freaking insane
that's one more significant
strike than he's had
contender series fights
dude
sorry jumping were there any
were there any submission attempts
no no no
okay I don't think so
yeah it was just
it was just Finney running at him
shoulder first like he was
a tackling drill like he was a
like he was a full back
yeah
and he just
yeah he just shouldered him
pushed him against the fence,
would take him down and just sort of laid on him
and nothing was happening.
Even the referee eventually was like,
all right, we got to stand him up.
This is ridiculous.
But yeah, man.
Tough scenes.
I mean, to Torres' credit,
I guess he went to the post fight
to the scrum after and was like,
yeah, man, not great, essentially.
Yeah.
Kind of agreed with the sentiment of the fan base
and everybody else who watched that fight.
Boy.
It reminded me of Chris Barnett.
UFC debut where everyone was like really hyped to see like Chris Barnett do Chris Barnett things and
then he was very subdued and that fight was terrible and then the next time he went out he was just
classic Chris Barnett the John Belonte we'll see yeah yes so we'll see I ain't giving up on you
Torres my giving up your you could bounce back match mate he's just he's gonna be just such an
interesting guy to book because he's so he's so small and height and he's like it's by
Dana was so, and I, look, Dana was very hesitant in signing him because this is what could happen.
Because every guy he fights is going to be six, seven inches taller than him.
And this could happen in a lot of them.
So he's like that.
See what happens.
The score, Tony Weeks, man, that is just the spiteful comment is absolutely hilarious.
Because that's the most people sort of view it as just like, oh, man, Tony Weeks just choosing violence right now.
He's just going against the grain.
He's sick of it.
didn't want to watch anymore.
And just like, you know what, F at 30, 27.
He's like the heavyweight Pat Barry of Pat Barry,
except instead of being only a striker,
he basically just wrestled.
Yes.
He did not get a bonus.
Shocked.
Nor did the fight.
Nor did any fight.
No fight of the night.
No big surprise there.
Congratulations to bonus winners.
Chang-ho Lee.
We shouted him out,
Cody Osborne.
Great performance. Deoni Barbosa gets a bonus.
She was the biggest favorite on the card and delivered as such.
And shout out to Reese McKee.
There you.
There you.
It gets it done.
So all the stoppage wins got a bonus.
Pretty much.
Four stoppages, four bonuses.
All right.
Sick.
Yeah.
Nine decisions, four stoppages.
There's just one of those nights.
But Reese McKee gets it done.
Probably his last chance.
Those probably his last walk to the Octagon if he loses that fight.
Yeah.
And gets it done.
And there's a world.
That was getting weird too.
I don't think Udon will be cut, but there's a world where like four of the,
or like four or five fighters on the prelims that lost like aren't on the UFC,
aren't in the UFC after today.
Yeah, Demopolis, it's been on a tough run.
Deanna, unfortunately.
Yeah.
Noon.
Nune is now in five.
Yeah.
We'll see.
Maybe Rob Valentine gets an extension on his deal because he got a 3027 card.
I'd like to see Cortavius Romeas figure out the weight stuff because he's pretty fun, man.
He is a fun fighter.
And that was a great fight.
Chang-ho leaves just good scrap, very bloody.
Both dudes are beat up.
That was a great fight.
That was like after the Tavares beer shard fight, we're like, man, we need something
really good and explosive to happen.
And for eight minutes and 40 seconds and change,
those two dudes at a catchweight of 139 and a half pounds,
get out there and do the damn thing.
So other notable performances, Lomaook Boone Me gets a win.
Probably wasn't the performance she was looking for
against the Sella Nunes, but she gets it done.
Victor Henry gets it done.
Go ahead, play the horns, Casey.
Victor Henry gets it done.
good fight. Martin Boudai with a 43 and a half pound weight advantage
defeats Uran Sultabaldiv.
Martin Boudetai, six and one in the UFC,
just quietly putting together a nice little run in the UFC's heavyweight division
in Tolita Alancar, the grappling in Jiu-Jitsu Ace,
is now two and one in the UFC.
She bounces back from her first professional loss to Stephanie Luciano
and dominates Vanessa Demopoulos.
I thought that was 3026 pretty clearly.
I think she got two of those in the 3027.
So a good win for her.
Martin Boudai, heavyweight with two decisions on his record and a technical decision.
I mean, he's got the win over on Derelofsky, which a lot of people didn't think he won.
I mean, and who he lose to, Giziv?
Yes.
Oh, God.
There's a, he can fight.
I mean, he could just get him tied to Ivasa, the guy with all the wins versus the guy that needs a win.
Yeah, I don't hate that
I don't think
Martin Boudet is the
type of guy that'll just hold
Tide Tuvasa down
I think there's a world
where a tie just goes out there and clocks him
Could happen
But I mean
You just if you have any wrestling at all
Plan A is just run and tackle
I know
And that's probably what you would do
Can we just throw Martin Boudai
versus Waldo Cortez-A Costa
We'll just throw those two dudes in there
and one guy wins and moves on and the other guy doesn't I mean just stays and fights at the apex in the heavyweight division it's just a tough division right now so he's going to headline you have the Vegas 1111 111 probably it's possible it's very possible perhaps a Derek Lewis fight could be in their future Marchine Tiber versus Martin Boudet main event dude
you got to resize
You got to resign Marching Tibera.
A little Martin versus hashtag Martin Marchean.
Let's do it.
I like the alliteration there.
So let's bring in E. Casey Leiden.
Let's talk to the peeps.
Let's see how they're feeling about everything tonight.
Hi.
Hi.
All right.
Got us to super chats.
People are excited.
People are excited.
Okay.
All right.
Here we go.
From Peter.
Shout out of the fighting crew.
Always keep it real.
X is dumb.
Yeah.
Yeah, I got a little bit of a little bit heat for saying that, boy, that was a tough, that was a tough watch.
And people are like, oh, there's so many cards.
You can pick and choose which ones you want to watch.
They have to let all the fighters on the roster fight.
That's the nature of the business.
No, it's stupid ESPN deal.
So we have to watch 43 events.
It's crazy.
Why can't, like, it's too much, man.
this is what we get.
Like,
people get mad because we,
like,
I want to see the best promotion in the world,
give us the best product they can as much as possible.
Like,
how is that a bad thing?
How is that negative?
I demand greatness.
Was UFC Vegas,
was UFC Vegas 105 better than PFL1?
No.
Not even close.
Yeah.
Honestly,
any any legitimate
MMA fan
who watched PFL and watch this Vegas
card there is no
I will not take you seriously ever
if you tell me that UFC Vegas 105 was better
than PFL one. Right. I can't think you
seriously. Sorry.
Are we talking like first prelim
to the main event or we're talking main card
when kind of compare these cards for the PFL?
I didn't watch any of the PFL card so I'm just
So I only watch the main card. I only watch the main card
outside of and basically outside of
from everybody that I've talked to
and just basically what I saw,
everything outside of Logan's Dorley's fight
was like, was good.
It was at least like entertaining.
Cool. In some capacity.
It finishes. That gene broke out as a guy
like people are excited to see next.
Jason Jackson looked great.
Like there's all sorts of storylines
that come out of it. Like it was a very good,
solid B-night for PFL.
Now, can they continue this momentum?
Is it smart doing an 11th?
PM main card the day before UFC 314?
No, not a great call at all.
There are still things they need to tighten up here.
But it's when you have fight cards with stakes and you put,
it's not the sexiest like roster that the PFL currently has that's on,
that's in this tournament.
But all these fights matter.
Every single one matters.
They mean something because it's the tournament structure and everything.
So yeah, PFL won the week.
if we're talking about, like, who had the better fight guard.
I really wonder, I mean, back to the main event, like, was the P.
What was the start time?
Did it go this late for the East Coasters?
It was pretty late.
Yeah, because the main car is at 10 p.m.
But I think it's right around the same time.
Yeah.
It was pretty late.
Yeah, I just wonder how much of this just, I mean, I don't know how sports fans do it on East Coast.
I mean, this is late right now.
It's 10 o'clock over here.
It's, I don't know what.
Yeah, so late for you guys.
Yeah.
It's just tough.
It's tough.
And I really wonder, like, imagine the main event if it was just a thousand people.
And even if a thousand people booing or a thousand people, if it was in the UK or whatever, like, it was such a different feel because I didn't, I didn't feel that main event was boring at all.
But I understand why people thought it was boring or why you're just, you're just tired.
I get it.
Especially you have no crowd and everything.
It was a good, not great fight.
Like it's it's it's it's a good fight
It just wasn't yeah
Yeah yeah exactly I just and yeah just
You see doing these apex cards like
I threw on a Slack channel like I'll go to I go to you know
Ami fights all the time locally and like
The crappiest amy card still has a better
Energy than you know the highest level at the UFC
So I'm just yeah it sucks but um
We don't
Fans don't deserve it.
Fighters don't deserve it.
UFC's making their money, though.
So, yeah, that's where we're right.
Listen, no one's not,
can't knock the hustle, man.
Like, they've won.
They've won the game.
But the problem is they know they've won the game.
And they've kind of, like,
Dana White doesn't even go to these cards.
His office is in the same fucking building.
And he doesn't even go.
He doesn't go.
He doesn't care.
Why shouldn't we?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he got knocked out of the Baccarat tournament.
Yeah.
Oh, that's the biggest story.
Yeah.
But Dana, but I'll tell you what, man, Dana White, I have a problem with Dana White.
And it's, it's nothing bad.
His social media game, when there's a bad cut or a bad injury, you just know that he's going to post something frigginnarly on his Instagram.
And boy, did he.
Go to M.Aviting.com if you want to check out what I'm talking about.
But God, the lip of the dude who fought Reese McKee, they gave the close-up view.
You could see, like, the inside of his mouth.
Oh, it's nasty.
Just some nasty shit.
Damn it, data.
It was bad.
It was bad.
Even like our lead editor is like, I'm pretty immune to all this stuff.
He goes, but that was pretty gnarly.
Yeah, it was tough to look at.
Yeah, I didn't.
I was avoiding it when I saw it on TV.
And I saw the notifications come up.
I'm like, not looking, not looking.
Yeah, I was like, I'm not even going to post the picture for in our Slack channels.
I can't do it to my fine co-workers.
All right.
Let's see what else you got here.
Thank you, Peter.
appreciate the positivity.
Well,
X is down to it again.
Steven.
Stephen, boys,
Cheeky Emmett Stevens rematch.
Ooh,
interesting.
Jose,
best case scenario,
what's your top three
card for UFC
Noce,
Mike Miami Slaps,
but you guys also slap.
Thank you.
Top three fights for UFC
Noce,
crystal ball.
That could happen?
Yeah.
If you could, like,
build the card.
Because I know,
obviously,
if Diego Lopez,
goes out there and beats Volkovsky wins the bell he's going to headline so that'd probably
be the best case scenario for the UFC in terms of building this card is because he's going to look
like a star if he goes out there and obliterates Volk he is going to look like a freaking superstar
so how would you would be your top three sort of if you're the UFC looking at it what would you
want to see as the top three fights for that card uh assuming in their perfect world Diego probably wins
and defends against either Yair or Mavzar.
Because Diego wants Mavzar, all credit to him.
The storyline is there.
He should honestly, Mavzar probably deserves the fight against Valkanoski in Miami more than Diego does.
But the story's there.
But if Yaya wins, I think it would be really hard not to do a Mexican versus Mexican title fight in the new arena in Guadalajara.
if Alexa wins if she beats Natty Ice you'd have to stick her on the card
Roel Rosas would have to be on the main card he is a superstar down in Mexico
I would say he's top five most popular fighters in Mexico right now
if he doesn't fight Leon I think you should do Masvidal versus Vicente
Lucke on the card somewhere I could be a good
good co-main event.
Luque wants to fight him.
I think that's a banger of a fight.
He was supposed to fight Nick Diaz at some point.
I think Mazurado is as close as you're going to get to Nick Diaz.
Jorge is a very, very big deal in Mexico.
Very big deal.
He, at one point, he was probably more popular in Mexico than Connor McGregor was.
I think he'd be a really good co-made event.
So I think Diego versus fill in the blank, Mazuradoe, and I'm trying to be realistic for
with us.
Vicente Luque.
I don't think Alexa's
going to get Valentina
if they both win
because Valentino
will probably fight
Whaley.
She can fight
maybe Manon
or maybe the winner
of Macy
and who's she fight it?
Who's Macy fighting?
Aaron?
That'd be a good fight.
Something like that.
But it's so far,
September.
It's so far away.
Yeah.
Things happen.
But,
and then Rill Rose
has to be on the main card
and Lazy Boy,
obviously.
Those are like the most
popular fines of Mexico.
I would do if Diego wins a belt, he's the main event against, I like both those ideas.
I would do either you Ben's pants and do Pantosia Moreno for the flyway belt is the
co-main event.
But if you are going to do Pantosia versus Kai, because obviously Medall Cop and Brennan
Revella are fighting, if they're getting like international fight week or over the summer, then
it's just too quick of a turnaround.
No.
How about Brandon Moreno versus Henry Sehudo in Sehudo's final.
fight.
Nah,
Sehudo's not going to,
Suhudo's never going to fight in Mexico.
That fight would make sense.
That would be a really excellent
co-mate event.
Suhudo's never going to fight in Mexico,
ever again.
He's going to retire in Vegas or,
or if they do the fight in Phoenix,
they'll fight in Phoenix and we retire.
I mean,
that'd actually be a good freaking city
for that fight too.
That'd be really good.
Yeah, and then Grasso and Roses and.
Yeah, because Grasso is actually
from Guadalajara, so she has to be on that.
card 100%.
Ignacio Bohomondez would be on that card
obviously and Daniel
Yuber and basically a lot of the fighters
that we saw in the sphere
would probably just be rebooks for Noche.
Yeah, that'll be fun.
That's going to be a fun one.
All right. Thank you. Yeah. Oh, and we
also, we slap. Awesome. Great news. Slap.
RS 40.
Is Lorone Murphy a great value Leon Ed
I would like him to see him against Aljo or Mobzar.
Eight in a row is impressive.
Also, PFL's card was fire.
It was really good.
It was a good, solid B night for PFL.
Good upset.
I've seen this comparison, the paper Conlonarone Murphy, like a mini Leon Edwards.
Do you see the similarities?
A little bit.
I kind of do.
A little bit.
Big.
I just got a little more personality, though.
And you saw it.
Like you kind of saw it at the end there.
Yeah.
but I wish in that moment he had a name
instead of just being like
I want somebody in the top five top three
like even if he doesn't get it
just throw something out you know what I mean
like make a headline I like the Aljo idea though
I gotta tell you that one's that one's interesting
I think I think that one could happen
that's a good fight I like it a lot
yeah but I but it's so crazy like
I think of like Rome Murphy
well I'm comparing like Leon Edwards
Ankyov, Blah, Aljo, all these guys who, I feel like we had the same conversations at some point, at some point, as we're having with Lorone Murphy right now, they get these big wins, but we're like, yeah, but no one cares.
But they just keep winning.
They just keep winning.
And pretty soon, you know.
Winning sells everything.
Yeah, and like, I like Lorone Murphy.
I'm super impressed tonight, but I also get, you know, like, we're going to get a big knockout and everything.
But, like, and I don't know if he's, like, you know, gunned.
to hold the belt but like i didn't think leon and edwards was going to hold the belt and then it
just happens it just keeps happening so um nothing's nothing's gonna shock me really yeah i mean outside
of maybe leon like all those guys you mentioned and you can throw probably maraub in there too
oh yeah mara yeah they all got like a signature win like something that was like oh shit like uh
uh aljo versus san haggard right he just went out there and just finished him real fast right right
Right? Like that's, that was like, oh, damn.
That was like when Carlos Sparza just beat the hell of the Janjan.
And we're like, oh, okay.
Like every one of those fights, like even Anklea, I'm sure he had the rackage fight,
but before that he almost killed Johnny Walker in the-
But even the rackage fight.
That was a brutal knockout.
Even the ratchet fight, he was fighting a guy on a two-fight loser street,
which he didn't have to take and shot for no takedowns.
Like he didn't. He just beat the shit out of a ratchik.
Like, yeah.
You know what?
I mean,
Leroma,
just picking the,
oh, sorry,
going.
No,
I was going to say,
and like,
even Rob,
like he,
he didn't,
like,
he beat,
he,
he,
I'm not going to say,
he embarrassed Piotriyan,
like,
just ran over him.
And you were just like,
he didn't finish him,
but you were just like,
my God.
He basically 50,
42 to Piotriyan,
and nobody does that to that guy.
So,
I mean,
it just,
but in Bilal goes out and beat up Sean Brady and finish him.
And that is,
aged tremendously well, obviously in the long room.
And then took the fight against Gilbert Burns on like 11 days.
Yeah, which I still think was the silliest piece of matchmaking ever.
Well, all I'm saying is Lorimer Murphy still has time to get that signature going to highlight
real win.
Sure.
And I'm glad he didn't do it tonight because you don't do that, the apex when Dana doesn't even
show up on a throwaway apex card.
I'm just saying, like he's got time and yeah, yeah, you're 100% right in 40% right.
in 48 hours we're going to forget this card happened
in six months we're going to be like
when's his room Murphy he hasn't fought like in years
you know oh yeah I watched 25 minutes you know
it's gonna be like that but yeah
just yeah
I also I don't think Aljo's gonna take that fight
I think Aljo will fight the loser of
yeah pit bull more likely because they're bigger names
unfortunately like Aljo is like
has said like he's probably closer to retirement
than not.
So I think he's going to want these big names.
Yeah, that makes sense.
All right.
Thank you much.
RS 40.
Terrence.
Jose, where can I buy that hat?
E.K., congrats to Henry.
It is, I'll find where I bought this hat in a second.
It is a, it is Shop JZD on Instagram.
They are a Latina.
queer Latina-owned business in Brownsville, Texas,
but you can order these hats,
plus all of their other merchandise through their Instagram, support.
All right, nice.
And yeah, thank you for the congratulations to Victor Henry,
CMMA team captain.
Dude, I just got to say, it is so cool watching things you work on in the gym,
and then it's seeing it, like, literally,
in the cage at the UFC level.
It's just, I don't know, it's just super cool.
Like, oh, that front headlock.
Oh, wow.
That, the, that trip it out of the wall.
I was like, that's so cool.
It's just, it's a really unique feeling.
Just like watching things happen that you train for.
And so congratulations, Henry.
He's turning, Victor Henry, he's turning Henry.
I never call him Henry.
Henry, Vic.
He's turning 38 soon.
So, yeah, get those wins why you can, man.
Big, big one for him.
Wait a minute.
What's up?
What did it miss?
So apparently during the broadcast, oh no, what was this?
It was during some broadcasts.
Illyta Poria versus Charles Ler.
I don't know.
Something weird happened where a graphic was flashed that shouldn't have been flashed.
That thing, Elit's Poir versus Charles Levera.
Oh, this is, this is, I mean, this is right up your alley.
Jose.
Jose,
Describe 314 main and co-main in anime terms.
Going to the solo.
It's terrific.
Describe 314 main and co-main in anime terms.
Oh, wow.
Do you need time on this one?
It's tough because anime battles are usually between people that hate each other.
You could do just because one of them is bald and one of them is,
cool hair. It would be the equivalent of like Goku
fighting krillin.
It would be the main event just because
one of them is
much taller than the other
and has sick hair.
And the other one is very short and has bold hair.
And they don't hate
each other at all, obviously. And then
the co-mate event. Oh,
man. Just a
bulky fridge versus
a tall, lanky scouser.
Oh.
Oh, what an interesting question.
What a very interesting question.
Let's think about that.
Yeah, we'll come back to it.
Yeah, I'm going to come back to that.
Okay.
We got, we got a very interesting question.
You're going to a lot of super chat.
Literally going through a roll-a-dex in my head.
I'm getting a lot of-eel your answer during the way-in show on Friday.
Yes.
Another super chat for Jose.
Am I more excited for you more excited for a superman?
I go back and forth.
This is a good question.
I go back and forth.
I'm very excited for Superman because it's my mom's favorite superhero,
and she's the reason I read comic books.
So my mom has already bought her ticket to see it at midnight.
This is basically Christmas for her.
She is, I've said this a million times.
You don't have to impress me.
You've got to impress my mom.
If she likes the Superman movie, then it's a good Superman movie.
I am intrigued by the Fantastic for,
especially if it's in the past.
and he opens, oh, you're going to start me.
He's opens the like the wormhole to like the future.
And if they introduce the maker and apparently they screen some footage at Cinemacon
and they showed Sue Storm is pregnant,
which means we're going to get Franklin Richards,
who's the most powerful person that has ever existed in the Marvel universe.
That'd be sick.
So honestly equal for different reasons.
I am equally as excited for both because the Fantastic 4 is sick and Superman is sick.
And I'm very glad that both of those IPs are getting loved because there's been a lot of bad Fantastic 4 content.
There's been a lot of bad Superman content.
And they are the two originals, Fantastic 4, Kickstarter of the Marvel comic book, well, technically Captain America did in the 40s.
But this current Marvel run in the 60s of Stanley and Jack Kirby started with Fantastic 4 and the comic books would not exist without Superman.
So equally as excited.
I saw the extended Superman trailer at the movies on Thursday.
I took my kid to see the new Minecraft movie.
He was so excited.
I got to tell you,
they're doing a very good job.
They're doing a very good job of hiding who the villains are in both movies.
Yep.
I like that reveal.
I like it.
Thank you.
By the way,
if you got kids take in there into Minecraft,
go see the movie.
I'm telling you,
you will have a great time.
Nice.
I enjoy it.
I laugh my ass.
off. I thought it was hilarious.
I don't know shit about
Minecraft. I laughed a lot.
Oh, apparently
we got Lorone Murphy made a call
out in the... Yes, I saw
this. I just saw this. I was going to bring this up.
He wants Brian Ortega next. Love it or hate it.
I think
Marsar has been teasing
Ortega fight.
Everybody. Everyone's calling out
Ortega. Aljo's called them out.
Everyone's calling on Ortega.
Is Ortega going to 55?
What's going on here?
I know.
That's what I was literally not to say.
Yeah, might not be.
Yeah.
But if he's not, is that, do you like that fight?
I don't hate it.
Yeah, Ortega's exciting.
Yeah.
Like, you know, so, I mean, he will force Murphy to do more, I think.
I don't think Murphy's going to be able, like, stand outside and just pick him apart the same way did Josh Emmett.
So it's an interesting one.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
Don't mind it.
All right.
What else we got here?
This one's for you, Mike.
Mike described UFC 314
co-main and Maine in WWE terms.
Jesus Christ.
I have no idea.
God,
co-maid's probably easier.
Shit.
How do you can...
The main event?
Michael Chandler.
Yeah, main event is...
Yeah, the main event is...
Yeah, the main event.
In the end of it is hard just because there's not juice behind it outside of these are the two best.
Yeah, it'd be like, yeah, I don't know.
It's not a lot there.
That's something else I'll have to think about it.
Yeah, I'll keep, I'll keep this one the side.
We'll come back to it then.
I love it.
Chandler and Patty, like, there's got to be something out there that makes sense.
All right.
Super chat from Stephen.
Casey loved the Snoopy shirt.
Follow up.
Now, the boys are here.
Five fighters to have a beer with.
I asked on pre-fight.
You still want me too much.
like Stephen like try like I respect the hell out of Stephen just Stephen and Spencer both just get
their money's worth for these super chats like give me your top 15 favorite coolade flavors
top 30 fighters you will get stranded in the woods with okay they'll all you two two fighters
that are here with oh man who don't I have uh tie
would be
oh yeah that's one I didn't say
that would be way up there for me
um
I picked Derek Lewis
because it'd be funny as hell
I pick Shane Burgos
because he'd be fun
but you can also have like
conversations about life with him
and he's very intelligent
about the fight game
um that's just like a wild card one
that's just like all right
if things get too weird
you could just turn and talk to Burgos for a while
and like talk about your family and shit
so that's a good one
Ty, Derek Lewis
Izzy
Yeah, Izzy would be an interesting
It would be a good one
I would like
I'd like to have a beer with Valentina
Yeah,
That's a good one
That's a good one
That's a good one
I want to see her kind of
You know, relax
Cut loose a little bit
He's like hey
Tell me about that gun tattoo
What's the story in that
Yeah
No
What's the deal with you
Yeah
What's the deal with you
Are you really a spy?
Like just, go on.
Get her, get her to the, like, truth serum drunk, where she just has to answer everything.
And then when she starts to fade into, like, you know, Star Wars character drunk,
you just give her like a half a shot to get her right back.
Oh, how I met your mother action.
Yeah.
We're back.
Dude, Valentine's a great choice.
Yeah.
That's a good pick.
I love that one.
Yeah.
That's someone like we've seen so many interviews of her.
Yeah.
I still don't think I know who she is.
Yeah.
Like who she, you know, I know her fight persona, but I'm not.
I don't think we'll ever know.
Yeah.
That's what makes her so compelling.
She's been able to keep the mystery about it.
Yeah.
I'll throw, you know what?
He's not a fighter, but throw John Anick at the table and we'll go.
I've got a couple of beers with John Anick before.
Yeah.
I have not had the honor just yet.
But maybe, yeah, it's a good one.
Yeah.
Paul Felder is great to have a beer with you.
You hear the stories out there.
I've also had a.
I've also had a favorite Paul Felder.
He was talking with a fan, and they're like, it was around when he was like tweeting it.
He's like, this fan came up to him.
He's like, Paul, you're going to fight Shafcott?
He just goes, fuck, no, I'm not fighting Shabot.
He's like at the hotel bar.
He goes, what are you crazy?
He's like, I fight Jim Miller.
I was like, I mean, I'd watch it.
Yeah.
I'm throwing Felder on the list.
He's officially in the list.
Yeah, that would be a good one.
All right.
Thank you, Stephen.
Charles S.
Worst card pacing ever, event may be hate myself.
You can tell fans did not watch fights during the Fox era.
If they say the SPN, Daniel is bad pacing.
My God, nothing will ever be that bad.
And nothing will ever be as bad as PFL was for the first few years.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Up until middle of last year,
PFL's pacing was as bad as it gets.
Yeah.
Was it,
was it,
was it,
was it,
was it,
was it,
if you get like a,
uh,
if I ended like in a minute or 30 seconds,
you'd be like,
oh,
that was awesome.
But then you go,
oh,
crap,
I have like 12 minutes of commercials now or something.
Yeah.
Like,
I don't think,
I think they're,
it was like that.
Maybe it's,
yeah,
maybe you've C2.
Yeah.
Um,
yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
FL too.
Yeah.
Like,
Bellator main card was like,
like that, but their prelims are always awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because one fight would end.
Like, none of the fighters even had like their own entrance music.
Yeah, there was no walkout.
It was just, they were just there.
They just put these dudes up the side ramp and the next fighters are already walking in.
And we're already like into the intros.
It was incredible.
Karate combat has some pretty heinous pacing too, especially for there.
Oh, the Vegas card?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
But no, Charles, this was not the worst card pacing.
ever tonight.
This was just,
this was a card
lots of decisions,
you know,
with no crowd.
It's just what it is.
Dude,
remember the,
uh,
remember the Francis and Ganu,
Anthony Joshua boxing card?
Oh my God.
That was the worst pace card of all time.
We did a watch,
we did a watch party and we're like,
we'll start like,
with three fights left.
We started with three fights left.
Connor and I ran out of stuff to talk about.
So we played literally.
literally 20 games of darts in between fights.
That's how bad the piece one.
We had nothing to talk about.
Nothing.
And then we get to the main event and Joshua just clobbers Francis in a matter of minutes.
And we're just like, okay, see you tomorrow for UFC 299.
Like crazy.
Yeah, there's been some horrible paste cards, but I think I just block it out of my memory.
So I'm not trying to bring it back.
All right.
Thank you much, Charles.
Chase.
Not saying it should happen, but if Lopez and the Ayr,
get wins, I can see them headlining Noche for sure.
So there you go.
Jose is with you there.
Ooh, yeah.
Oh, that'll be, well, would that make,
you're talking about them fighting each other?
Yeah.
For the belt, yeah.
In Guatemala.
Mexico and Mexico and Guadalajara.
Wow.
That'd be kind of cool.
that would be
it's also
it's also just a sick
like mozah deserves it but I think the fight
that'll be just a sicker fight would be
Yair and Diego
oh yeah I forgot about
my momzars
I was like I know there's someone else out there
I forget it
both both Volcanowski
and Diego this week
in various interviews has said
we are when I win
I am fighting mozzar
and then if pit bull wins
is next slide I am fighting pit bull.
Like the plan seems to be win in Miami,
fight Movsar, fight pit bull.
That seems to be the plan for both men.
Shout out to those guys for for understanding ball.
They know ball.
They get it.
I still don't think Dana-Way knows who Moves-R I believe is to this day.
Nope.
I still don't think he has any clue.
That comment still like jars in the back of my brain.
It was like, what are you talking about?
It was like the best, it was like the best main card fight.
Yeah, it was good.
Yeah, been wild
Thank you, Jase
Last super chat we have right now
And the Sterling fight was good too
Yeah
It was a lot of fun
All right, what else?
He's almost kind of like
Hank and Klyavar like you go
Oh, he's so boring
But then you look at his records
Oh wait, he's got like four performance bonuses
Or something, you know?
Like
Yeah
But for some reason we only
There's certain fighters
I don't know
We only remember the bad
At least a boring fight
I feel like Mosvars is on that list.
I don't remember.
Like I still to this day don't remember like a boring Mobsar fight.
Like I'm trying to look back on it.
Um, maybe the Ege fight like Ege he just, he just, he just grappled the shit out of Ege.
And he was just like, okay.
We just saw this we just saw the same round over and over.
So that's not really on him.
It was just.
Yeah, the Dadau fight wasn't like terrific.
The Nick Lundt's fight wasn't like the greatest.
The Dowu fight.
The Dow do fight.
one of that that doesn't mean that's like five years ago what is that you got fight of the night
three fights ago no no that dowdo fight like how was a dude fight was uh two that was in glenda
the adissania vittori two card the problem with that fight is that's the longest fight card
in ufc history in terms of time because of all the decisions and especially because they had the
the three five round fights at the top of the card um but the buildup for that fight was
significantly more interesting because um hekeem can talk some shit and mod's
I talked shit back, but it was like a confident shit talking.
Like, he was like, I'm going to outstrike you.
And Mazars like, you're not.
Okay.
You're not.
No, you aren't, sir.
But thank you for it.
I disagree.
I beg to differ.
I beg to differ.
They put down the promo and they have broken going, oh.
Thank you, Chase.
I'd like to see Mars are fresh for the belt.
Yeah, I want to see it too.
A bum will never see him fight elite to pour you.
Hermann, I don't have a question.
Just wanted to show love.
M.A. fighting has entertained many weekends from you over the years.
Always makes my fight night complete.
Thank you, Harmon.
That's awesome.
We appreciate that.
I really do.
It means a lot.
All right.
What else we got here?
Oh, this is a good one.
Let's tell you feel about this.
I've been kind of seeing this a lot.
Man, got to say that my fandom is slowly dying in mid-10s, early COVID, barely missed
a card, even fight nights.
Now, just watch lads on M-A fighting in an MK.
Appreciate that.
It's just tough, man.
It's just a tough time.
It is my hope that this new TV deal is just less events.
And I'm not saying, like, oh, it works so hard.
It bothers me.
I like the structure that, like, Jed and I have been talking about it.
talking about for the last couple of years.
Three fight cards a month.
I want to do an apex card. Fine. I don't care.
But there should be a pay-per-view, a fight night on the road, and an apex card every month.
And then one week off. And then if you want to do like June, pick June or July,
whatever international fight week is, do two pay-per-views that month.
We fill up the entire slate.
Hell, even if you want to do June and July, we fill up both those months with cards.
Fine. I'm all right with that. But 43 fight cards and a lot of them in the apex is
just it's too much it's too much and that's like the gripe i get from a lot of it even the
degenerate gambling fans that i'm friends with who bet on everything are just like i don't even want to
bet on this card like that's like when i'm getting texts like that that is eye opening that even the
degenerate gamblers don't even want to put their money on the fights on these cards it's a problem
man it's just a little water down right now i just would like to see them care a little bit more like
try to put your best foot forward and it's just again i don't want to go down the contender series
rabbit hole again but there was a time my friends especially if you're newer fans where the contender
series is the greatest thing on earth Tuesday nights for eight weeks we watched the best regional
fighters on planet earth get after it and even if you were really good and even if you got a
first round finish if you didn't have every intangible that you are looking for to be a potential
star in the UFC, you didn't get a contract. You did not get one. And now they trot these cards out
10 weeks. And anybody who wins or is in a competitive fight or in a split decision fight gets a
contract. It's crazy. Now, I will say this, last year's crop of talent overall, like 1 to 42
or whoever many contracts they give out, pretty good class. Like they showed out and there's
some, there's some talent, no doubt about it. But you're just looking at the
these apex cards just oversaturated with either short notice fighters or just contender series
contract winners that you have to fulfill contractual obligations towards get them into the octagon
and it's just like okay like what are we doing here and it's just it's so watered down and
sorry if you think it's negative but with the bet you know maybe it's just oh we're back in my day
and i want to be that guy walk up school uh uphill
both ways, no in the snow, all that shit.
Fine, but this ain't 2016 anymore.
2016, you couldn't wait to watch UFC.
Everything, every card mattered, every fight mattered.
It was just a whole different thing.
And there was some wacky shit too.
CM Punk was fighting and all this weird stuff was going on.
Like, it's just not like that anymore.
Now it's just like, let's just throw darts and then we'll have these guys fighting the apex.
It's just not the same.
Paperview quality has gone down.
Now look, 314 is awesome.
I genuinely overcome with excitement for 314.
Cannot wait.
313, I was like, okay, sure.
Like, I wanted to see Pereyank alive.
Gachi's always fun.
But like overall, wasn't like overly thrilled for that card.
312 wasn't overly thrilled for 312.
311 I was into.
315 is going to be one of those cards where I think it's going to be super high quality,
like high level fist fights, but it's going to be watched by nobody.
because there's just no drama there.
You know what I mean?
And then we'll get to 316,
and we already see people being sort of negative
about 316 in the two title fights there.
And then everyone's just hoping international fight
we delivers with Islam versus somebody.
Maybe we get Islamilia or we get John Jones versus Aspinall,
which I don't know, man.
But I don't know.
It's okay.
I just want better.
Like it's not,
I just want better.
give us a Thursday night card
you want to give me an Apex card
doing it on a Thursday
Hey hey hey hey
SPFL's day
SPFL's day give him a break
Yeah just for a few months though
Yeah okay
Give them Thursday for a few months
And then you know drop an apex on a Thursday
Or Wednesday or Friday
Who gives a shit?
Like fine do it on a Sunday
They used to do Sunday cards once in a while
Well it'll fully
It'll fully depend on where the UFC goes
With their TV rights
Yeah
If they go to Netflix
They're certainly not doing Friday night
To compete with
WW Smackdown.
Oh, no.
Thursday.
When is NXT Wednesday?
Wednesday?
Tuesday.
Tuesday.
So the contender series will be tough.
They've got to move contender series.
Sorry about it.
Yeah.
They'll figure it up, hopefully.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't want to, I don't know, I hate saying it, but like, fans wanted them,
fans wanted an MMA monopoly.
You got one and this is the price you pay for it.
Without competition, the UFC doesn't have to do very much.
I just have to.
I don't want to get all into that, but I mean.
Root for PFL.
Hope GFL actually is a real thing.
And they put on good fight cards consistently.
That's all we can hope for.
The UFC doesn't have to look over their shoulder whatsoever.
Thank you, screw you.
Anything else?
I got a couple more real quick.
Real quick, real quick.
Does Pat Sabatini deserve a top 15 opponent after tonight?
He's won three out of four.
No.
No, he's a, it's featherway, man.
This is too big, this is too tough a division, man.
There's guys like Chappi Mariscall who's on like a, just a long wind streak.
He's looked great.
Maybe you can throw those two dudes in there together to run it back.
Like guys like Steve Garcia was supposed to fight at some Barboza.
He's still looking for a fight.
Yusuf Zalal is just to crack the stuff if he.
Maybe Pat Sabatini versus Steve Garcia.
I don't hate that idea.
That's a good style.
That's a good style of clash.
I like that.
You know, it's the, you know, it could be a really boring fight, but whatever.
I mean, it's too high-level fighters.
I want to see it.
I like actually I like that I like that one.
Sure.
But yeah, he's not going to get top 15 guy.
Mike Cena walking out and mania to thuganomics.
Oh my God.
I hope so.
I'm very excited.
I want to do a watch party for mania so bad.
I hope we get to do one.
Oh.
Internal talk.
So it would be such a long watch party.
It's a long.
Yeah.
It's like two nine houred watch parties.
We're not starting to appreciate it.
We won't even sleep.
We're just.
We're going to do like one of those extremes like it lasts like 24 hours.
We'll just go.
We're just napping.
My goodness.
Yeah, we'll take a little naps.
We'll take a little shifts.
Cover it in.
Old contender series equals Tuesday day drinking.
Damn right, Stephen.
Damn right.
Okay.
Now.
So pumped for contenders.
It was the best.
I remember the main event of the first one was Kurt Hollabobeau versus Matt Bissette,
the Titan FC champ versus the CES champ.
I was like, yeah, let's go.
And now we don't get these kinds of fights anymore.
All right.
Now that's 2 a.m.
I'm sorry?
It is almost 2 a.m.
That's crazy.
I just looked up.
Yeah.
Now we're going to circle back real quick because you've got some time to think about it.
Anything?
Um, do my stuff of everything.
Okay.
Oh, son of a bitch.
Ha, ha, ha.
I'm a bitch.
I'm just over to drag this out like through the week.
I like my...
I like my Krillin versus Gohan for the main event
just because there's no heat there.
And for the reasons I said aesthetically,
they look more like them than anything else.
And at the time,
I'm talking Krillin and Goku from Dragon Ball
where they were the two best,
not Dragon Ball Zee,
because Krilin got absolutely nerfed in Dragon Ball.
Ballsy.
The co-main event, Michael Chandler
versus Patty Pimlet would be like
Luffy versus Cotta Curry from One Piece
because Cotta Curry is
like he has no neck.
He's just all muscles.
He's just a huge hulking figure
that just looks very
terrifying and it's just muscle on muscle and muscle and muscle and he has no neck
and he punched really hard.
Then Luffy's the tall, lanky, goofy guy.
with the silly haircut, that likes to eat a lot of food.
There you go.
I nailed it.
Luffy versus Scott a curry for one piece.
It's a good one.
Holds up.
All right.
Your turn, Mike.
And yeah, that's it.
Yeah, I have no idea.
Yeah, nothing.
All right.
You have all we go.
Come back to us.
I will give you something.
No doubt about it.
And it is late.
That's such a New York, Cyrus.
Yeah.
It's such a New York City, Karen.
Casey, let's turn it.
I'm going to turn it over to you, my friend.
You wanted to do something special here.
Yes.
So please, I'll give you the floor.
This is a little, a little different.
But I just want to share a story.
My first MMA coach, my original MMA coach recently passed away.
He was, I think, like, young 60s.
It was a tragic accident.
and it just hit me a lot harder than I, I don't know, just, I wasn't expecting it.
It came out of nowhere.
It was a tragic thing.
And I just wanted to show you guys a little videos of some things I've shot with him over the years.
And I just want to share it with you.
And that's about it.
I mean, I went to his memorial today.
I had a big cry fest.
I met the family and everything.
So I'm trying, that's our, that's, I kind of went through that already today.
But I just want to share this video of you guys.
This is my coach Rod Armstrong, and he was my coach for my fight, and he came over to my place every day during COVID.
We trained in my garage, and he took me from, you know, 210 pounds to a good, nice, no, 165.
And got all these messed up ears due to him and just radically changed my life as a martial artist and a fighter.
and just, I don't know, just a lot of things.
And so I'm sure this video of you.
Hope you enjoy it.
So what you're seeing here, actually, is my garage and my coach come over here, and he would
help me train every day after my 6 a.m. sessions at Wimtel Warrior down the street at
Systems Training Center.
So I would work with the team there as a group and then I drive home and then four or five days a week I work with my coach here individually and we will fine tune things that I would actually learn with the team at systems.
And he has been just like, I don't know.
I talk about disappointment and like I'm worried about losing the fight because I don't want to
I don't want to disappoint my friends and family but man I know I know he doesn't feel this way
but like I just can't let my coach down because he's put so much time and effort into my dumb butt
teaching me all this teaching me all the all the deadly stuff and and as much as I want to win
this fight I want to win this for him and the to
to show the world that, you know, my coach,
coach Rodrigo Armstrong, like, you know,
how good he is as a coach, because I don't know,
I felt like, she's like just a hidden gym out there.
And it's been, he's a weirdo, he's a weirdo,
but you gotta be weird to be doing this, to be honest.
You don't have to sit down if you want it.
Okay, good, good, good, all right, look,
that's what I talk about being pie-eyed in the first right away, okay?
Okay, so now you're settled in.
Watch out for the follow-up shots.
That's why we have to move twice, okay?
Don't sit there and wait for the next thing.
Let's just stick to the inside and let's get them down, okay?
You got to muscle those arms out of the way, just like we've been practicing.
Don't wait so long.
You gotta let those hands go from on top when you're down there, okay?
Get that hooked up when you're gonna go for the arm.
Hook it up. Don't just try to grab with your hands, okay?
Just like we do.
Just settle down.
You're good now.
That's the worst of it, okay?
You got it?
Okay.
From here, this sucks, that's a cow catch, whatever.
Okay, he's bearing into me, boom, pull my guard.
I'm already halfway there.
I can finish from here.
War, doop, okay?
This side action.
Okay?
He gets his head out.
Let's just sit, I get this.
I don't like it, sweet.
If I want to keep this, tap.
Tap. I want to keep this, tap. Sit up, tap. Right? He starts to go to my back. I'm fine.
All right. Boom. Hit and hit. Okay. There you go. Half stocks. OG. Catch.
Yeah. So, I just want to share that with you guys. He passed away a couple weeks ago. And yeah, so I was just bummed out because I didn't see him for probably like maybe a couple months. And we technically.
see each other all the time about fights, of course, you know, like, whoa, you see this mission,
you know, but I was just like, oh, man, I'm going to, I need to get, I need to get with him
and, like, just go to the park and hit some pads of him or something. And it didn't happen.
And so just want you out there, appreciate your friends, everyone around you, and cherish your
time you have of everyone. That's all. Well said. Thank you for sharing that.
I hope everybody appreciates that.
And you can go ahead and hit the music because almost impossible to transition from that.
But thank you for watching everybody.
We appreciate you very much.
Shout out to your coach for help molding your ugly butt.
Is that what you said?
Yeah, yeah, I'm ugly butt.
Yeah, there you go.
The dumb butt is possible because of him.
And again, thank you for sharing that.
But it is UFC 314 fight week, everybody.
We do have to put a bow officially on this card from a matchmaking perspective.
AK and I will do on to the next one tomorrow.
We're trying to like mind a way to not do it.
But we're going to we're going to we're going to we're going to we're going to
we're just going to we're like maybe it'll just matchmake for O'Day Osborne because he was fun.
And Changi Lee because he was fun.
But now we'll we'll do a show and then it'll be officially UFC through 14 by week.
So stick with us.
I have an interview with Michael Chandler dropping tomorrow morning on this year channel.
It's fun one about 20 minutes.
We have a good time.
and we'll see you at the top, everybody.
Have we good rest of your night.
Bye, bye.
Jose Safe travels, my friend.
