MMA Fighting - UFC Vegas 121 Post-Fight Show | Reaction To Scary Ending In Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Raoni Barcelos Main Event
Episode Date: September 27, 2026Raul Rosas Jr. picked up the win in his first UFC main event despite being down 3-1 on all of the judges' scorecards heading into the final round against Raoni Barcelos. Then, Rosas lands a takedown i...n the fifth round, and all of a sudden, Barcelos was out cold and not moving to put a big of a frightening cap on one of the best UFC fights of the year. Following Saturday's UFC Vegas 121 card, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to the UFC's return to the Meta APEX, Rosas getting the win, the scary ending to the fight, and updates on Barcelos' condition following the main event. Additionally, they'll discuss the lackluster co-main event grudge match between Ailin Perez and Norma Dumont, the scoring of the fight for Perez, Luis Hernandez's breakout performance, other standout moments, the crowning of two new TUF champions — including one by disqualification — and more. All right.
Hello, everybody.
Welcome to the post show.
Those are the victory horns.
And, uh, I don't know.
I feel victory horns feel a little different right now.
I can't, I can't lie to you.
They do sound for Raul Roses Jr.
But what a scary ending to UFC Vegas 121.
Hyoni Barselaus and Raul Roses Jr. are having themselves an absolute heater out there.
they are just beating the brakes off of one another.
Hione Barcellos pulling away
was up three rounds to one on all three of the judges
scorecards. One judge scored it round four correctly,
which was a 10-8 round. So it was 39, 37, 39, 37, 39-36.
Maral Roses Jr. goes a little crazy, knows he needs a finish.
And he goes for a takedown.
It's a pretty basic takedown, and Hione Barcelos is just out.
He can't move.
Eyes are closed.
No one knows what happened.
And Rale Roes Jr., to his credit, did not inflict any more punishment.
And the fight was stopped.
Raul Roses celebrates his win.
And Hione Barsallos is stretchered out of the meta-Apex.
No update yet.
But once we hear it, we'll let you know about it.
But welcome to the post-fight show.
I am Mike Hack and joining me to react to a super weird night at the apex is Mr. No Gray
Gray himself Jed Mishu Jed.
How you doing?
Normally we're a little bit more jolly, but honestly, like it's, uh, we're talking a little bit
before we kick things off.
Pretty scary way to end this event, was it not?
Yeah, man.
I, you said it, but like when the horns came on, I was like, man, those are a little happier
than I probably feel right now.
Um, this is the most concerned.
I've been since Bryce Mitchell and Josh Emmett, uh, people who watched our show then,
um, I think we're live streaming that one.
Uh, I was like genuinely concerned about Bryce, um, Bryce Mitchell's health.
He ultimately ended up being okay.
We like that.
But, uh, we are all hoping for the best here.
I don't, I mean, I think we probably will end up doing some speculation, not anything
too rampant, but sort of natural for us to try and.
figure out what happened.
Neither of us are medical professionals.
I hope for the best.
I have real concern
that we just witnessed
the first catastrophic incident
in UFC history.
Yeah, it's,
it was just tough.
Seeing him,
like,
just down like that,
I was like,
oh,
maybe he just gassed out.
It just,
maybe that's the only person
who thought that.
Several people have seen thought it.
That was my initial thought.
But then, like,
when they came back from break
and they weren't even showing
Barcelos
I was like oh that's not good
because that's usually a very bad sign
they were just showing Roses Jr. in the corner
it was that was the thing
it's not just that they weren't showing him
but you're right that is always a key
uh
Rall Roses Jr. went from being like a happy winner
to like very clearly shaken in the corner
and you know
Felder and who crews are
on the call and they're just like
yeah this is really bad
like they're not
they're like they're not
they shouldn't they should not sugarcoat this
but like when we come back from break
and suddenly raw rosas junior is just like squatting
and looking at what's happening
the commentary team is like this is
I think one of them is like this is terrifying
like it is a good call to not show that
like they did not it is a very good choice not to
they did not need to show that
we got to see we saw him stretchered out at the very end of it
but yeah man uh the only things that i think happen i'm i really hope i'm wrong like i very much
hope that i missed like a clash of heads on that takedown that he just was knocked really badly
unconscious and that still is awful but that's sort of part and partial to this sport but the things
that jump out to me as the most probable are extremely bad and uh i am just really hoping for
how many Barcellus because that would be awful man like I've that would be really really terrible for him
yeah man he fought so good too like it's such a great fight and a great fight um spectacular man
I mean what a fight I mean incredible fight spectacular stuff from both ends barcelos that fourth
round was unbelievable I had so many questions about Raul Roos Jr. heading into this fight
I was just like, man, even if he wins, like, it could be super boring because he has not been the most thrilling guy to watch in the last several fights.
But man, he came out of fire in tonight and Barcelos was more than happy to oblige.
And those two just beat the shit out of each other for 20 minutes.
More so Barcellos kind of putting it on Roll Roosier Jr.
Who just had no quitting him, man.
There were a couple times where I was like, yep, he's probably just going to say I'm done and tap here.
but no, dude kept fighting.
He showed a lot, man.
Like, I wasn't, I didn't look at him as like,
oh, yeah, this dude's definitely fighting for the belt someday.
But I was just like, you know what?
Dude gets it.
He understands the assignment now.
He knows he's got to be a little bit more fun.
Striking got much better.
Got gusto.
And you know what?
Despite that fourth round, he came out in round five, ready to go.
And what, I mean, spectacular stuff, man.
It was just an incredible fight.
Your reaction, I know we're still waiting on.
on news and everything, but what did you learn from young El Nina Problema, I believe is his nickname?
Would you learn about 21-year-old Rao Roos Jr. tonight?
He does have that dog at him, right?
And because I was doing a lot of the blog on this, and I thought at the end of the first round,
I was like, he's slowing down a little bit, and then that second round, Barsallis wins.
And on the judge's scorecards, Barcellus ends up winning the next three, right?
He's up three-one heading into the final.
and I really thought as that fight kept going
I'd be like, because there would be moments
when you would see Rosas would start to fade
like when he would recede into himself
when his output would just dive off a cliff
and you're like, okay, he's fought at such a high pace
and we're over like the crash is here
and then he just kept kind of fighting through it
and then to start that fifth round he came out like a
like he, I think I wrote in the live blog
that he was fighting like first round Terrence McKinney
at the start of the fifth round like he was
I don't know if he knew that he needed to finish or what.
But he came out very aggressive.
And right before what happened happened,
I was typing, man,
Barcelos might be fading here.
Like he seems to be wilting under this like assault that Rosas has pulled out of nowhere.
And of course,
the ending happened.
Again,
everything we say here is just going to be prefaced and ended with,
I hope,
how many Barcellus is okay.
But like if you set that aside to just talk,
about the Rao Rosas, who did nothing wrong. And I think as people pointed out,
Saul, like, I think he got one shot in before he realized, oh, that dude's not there. And so he just
stepped off, like, great for him to not make what is probably a bad situation worse. And it's not his
fault what happened, right? Like, this was a fist fight. He did. His job is a very dangerous sport.
And you have to be impressed by, I thought a striking looked better in general. It's still not,
like good, but it is improved.
And mostly like he just,
he found the,
the gear he needed to, to pull
a win out of, out of a loss here.
And, you know,
if it ends up how he being okay,
then we can all be like, who,
okay, great and feel just really good
about the tremendous comeback
that Rao Roses Jr. just authored.
There are reports that Barcellus
is conscious now, but again,
like,
while I like,
somewhat.
Who are you seeing that report from?
Because I'm also talking to you.
Anybody reputable making that?
You don't have to throw a name out.
Leo.
Okay.
But Leo's also gotten some things wrong over the years too.
So, I mean, I know he's the tweet from 19 minutes ago,
Hione conscious, thank God madness, I've never seen anything like it.
But that's the only thing I'm seeing.
I see something from AG fight that I'm not 100%.
on everything that I'm seeing
is not saying that he's okay
they're saying that he is being taken for
tests and stuff I think the post show
which you may hear my background if you do I'm sorry
but I have it up for very obvious reasons
at the start of the UFC post show
they announced hey
we're not going to speculate
and then at some point during the show they announced
that both he and Rosas were going to the hospital
and they were getting scans on head and neck
so we'll see how it is
Yeah. So as of now, there are some reports, but Brons that are saying it as well. Let me just check real quick.
I will certainly trust Aaron Moore here.
Yeah.
Oh, this is true.
Marcellus was transferred to hospital.
He's conscious.
That's a translation from that's from AG fight.
And that's, that's Evie, who I will absolutely trust.
No disrespect to Leo.
Leo has gotten some stuff wrong.
Evie has a really good relationship with the team, plus she's literally there.
So I will take her word here.
So hopefully good news.
And I'm waiting hopefully for the broadcast to come in.
It is obviously better news that he's conscious than that he's not.
So that's great.
That does not absolve my biggest issues and concerns that I have here.
But that is like, you know, one step of positivity is good enough, you know, for right now.
what does rosa gain from this because it's such a weird ending and he was losing and like yeah i mean
who knows who knows what would have happened if the fight didn't end like that maybe rosa would have
got some ground and pound maybe would have got a submission who knows but the way that the fight
ended i mean you give rosa's credit and and you tip the cap for him not quitting and not giving up
and continuing to fight but does he get a whole lot from this like he wants a top seven guy is he
going to get it or like what what does he gain from this it's it's just such a weird sort of
unprecedented situation something like this it it i mean that's right because i think i mean obviously
the conversation will just be different if what happened didn't happen but like let's say
how he just got knocked out and he was up and moving right now we'd have a lot more excitement in her
voice and we're like yeah i you give robert's junior top seven opponent you know
beating how many how he's a top 10 top 12 guy but to do it in that way that was a super exciting
fight like that's going to win fight of the night uh is a great comeback again he was down 3-1 on the
judge's score cards like if you can separate the the bad from the other parts of it you just
have to look at them be like give that man an opportunity right like they've been pushing him
anyway they want to i don't know what the opportunity is right like i don't not sure who at bannon
way to have to think about it that's what on to the next one is
for Mike. But I think he still gets that because it's not, none of this is his fault. It's just,
it's not a thing we're excited to talk about tonight because of the giant, terrible elephant
sitting in the corner of the room. But as things unfold and again, hopefully honey's okay,
then people can be like, yeah, man, that was the best performance. He's the best performances of his
career, certainly of Rob Rousse's career. And, you know, you should reward that with an opportunity.
And so I think he will get that.
We shall see what happens.
And yeah, man, we are, we are waiting word.
So, uh, we're all overrish junior gets the win.
Uh, oh, they're back here.
What can you say?
Are we just talking about rollererous junior here on the broadcasts?
It doesn't seem like that's a medical update.
Yeah.
Oh, I see someone like kind of running across the camera.
So maybe someone's going to tell Brendan about this, but, um,
You want to go to the co-main event, Jed?
People will be mad mad.
Sure, that's a co-main event.
Yes.
Eileen Perez gets the unanimous decision win over Norma Dumont in a fight that happened, Jed.
That was certainly a fight that happened, added to the long list of grudge matches that did not deliver in any way.
This is probably the – this is definitely the worst fight on the entire card.
And Eileen Perez gets the win.
I scored it for Norma.
But at the same token, Norma didn't like, she didn't clinch it by any stretch.
Like she was winning the third round.
She was more than happy to just talk a bunch of shit the second half of the third round while inflicting, I mean, zero damage in the end of that third round.
It was very, very close.
It was up in the air.
people are saying this is the biggest robbery of the year, which is absolutely not true.
You have to care about a robbery for it to be the biggest one of the year.
Yeah.
And Dean Thomas even said it too, he's like, even when she was landing stuff, like she wasn't
turning it over.
Like there's nothing happening.
It was just like a subparb fight between two people who hated each other.
And it was just kind of a matter of like who, what did you favor more in the third round?
Like, I saw some people argue on Twitter.
It's like, well, she landed double the significant strikes.
like total in the fight.
This ain't pride rules.
It scored round by round, bro.
And Norma did not blow the doors off her in round three in a fight that was clearly
one-one.
So I don't think this is a robbery.
I did feel like Norma did slightly more and kind of thought she won, but certainly not
surprised Eileen Perez won.
And yeah, your thoughts, where do we go from here?
Did Amanda Nunes or Kayla Harrison lose an ounce of sleep?
or will they lose an ounce of sleep tonight?
They sure did not.
Yeah, man, I don't...
There's really one thing I want to talk about this fight,
and I'll pitch that question to you at the end of this.
But, like, really, it's pretty straightforward of, like,
I thought Dumont won.
I'm not going to pretend like I care.
It felt like, again, robbery just has to be something you care about, you know?
Like, if you take 10 cents for me,
it's not a technically it's robbery but like do i care you take a hundred grand for me to care uh so
this was just a terrible fight uh that sucked and it's always very very silly when a fight sucks
and there's so much beef before and that beef remains after and then the fight still sucks
mike i would like your take on this because that fight was so bad that afterwards
paul felder gets into the ring and through the translator uh says to aline perise
Hey, so why didn't you do anything?
Like, you guys talked to all this trash, and then you didn't really fight that hard,
and then you tried to fight afterwards.
What was that about?
I'm paraphrasing, that's basically what he said.
And I have thoughts on that.
But what are your thoughts on what old Paul Felder did right there?
It's pretty funny.
Like, I mean, just watching it for the outside, it's like, oh, Paul chose violence with this post-fight interview.
and I kind of liked Eileen's response through the great Fabia.
She's like, what are you talking about?
I didn't do anything.
I dominated her for every second of the fight, like, just completely, like, turning it against him.
But the question Paul asked is like, hey, you guys seem to want to get into a fight
and there was all this energy.
She's like, why didn't you do any of that during the 15 minutes where the fight actually mattered?
It was quite funny.
But this is also the reason why Paul is the best at this.
he's one of the best in the color of commentary spot in general.
But he,
to sit there at any event that he is a part of,
and we have to watch either DC or Michael Bisbing do post-fight interviews,
while Paul Felder is sitting at the desk not doing post-fight interviews,
drives me insane because Paul has the balls to ask questions like that.
While the other guys certainly will not do that.
And that's why I love Paul in that spot.
Was it, yeah, was it like a weird sort of,
out-of-the-box question that you typically don't get on these broadcasts?
Sure, but it was a fair question.
It was a question that everybody at home was watching too.
Like, oh, these two still want to fight.
Why didn't they beat the shit out of each other during those 15 minutes?
So I get why some people didn't like it.
I thought it was quite funny.
But that's just me.
Your thoughts?
I thought it was a little unprofessional.
I'm not going to lie to you.
It's similar to my thoughts on the robbery.
I'm not willing to get up in a bunch about it
I'm not like this is terrible
where you need to be
but that's not his job
like he is an employee of the UFC
and a mouthpiece for the promotion
and your job is not to run down fighters
and while I that's like a fair question
I want to be super clear
like that's a fair question
I don't think that's a fair question
from a promotional person
in a promotional instance
that's a question to be asked backstage by the journalists in question.
But like, I liken it to if you, you know, you're at your job.
And then Paul from human resources just comes up to you and it's like, hey,
that was a pretty shitty presentation you gave this week.
It's not your boss.
Like that's not Dana White or Hunter Campbell being like, that's bad.
Explain yourself.
That's just a guy who works for the company that employs you and is actually supposed to
work in a capacity to help you and benefit you.
Like that is really like the primary job of the promoters is to get these fighters over.
And for him to sort of throw you under the bus, like, because like what's your answer going
to be that's good there?
Again, I think it's a fair question to ask.
I don't think he's the person who should ask it.
I'm not going to get like, again, on a thing.
But that did stand out to me because I think Felder is so very good at this.
I think he's by far the best in cage interviewer.
And this is just not something I sort of expect to come from him.
I would expect him to have the sort of like professionalism to be like,
that fight sucked.
As he said in the booth,
I think that's like semi fair,
like fair, right?
But to get up there and be like,
hey,
at least to phrase it in a better way,
because it was a very leading way to phrase it too.
It wasn't like,
hey, what happened out there?
Like,
what's good?
Like, could you not?
It was just like,
you guys said you were going to do something and you didn't explain yourselves,
please?
Like you were going to the principal's office.
And he's not the principal.
I didn't love it.
But it's the only thing I, like, had any thoughts about on that fight
because that fight was ass.
Yeah, she, because we were talking about it on the preview show yesterday,
I was like, oh, yeah, Eileen has a better shot of getting a title shot here than,
and Norma, and let me be super clear.
She certainly still does.
But, yeah, I don't think, I think Jocelyn Edwards just had a great night, too.
I think she had a pretty, I think she had a pretty good night.
Yeah, man.
kind of the no brainer now.
Well, Valentina, but that's a separate thing.
Yeah, I don't, because that's the other thing too where like they had done,
we talked about in the preview show, Mike,
like they had done such a good job of promoting this fight of going from early prelims
to co-mean event after the fallout happened,
of getting people interested.
Like, Norma Dumont got people interested by like saying awful things about her and throwing
things at her.
And they're like,
people were kind of like, okay, I don't, there was like a general sense of women's ban and
weight hadn't been all that fun lately, but maybe this could be something.
And then to put on that fight is really bad because, yeah, if Eileen had done more to get
and got the win, that had been an exciting fight, people would be more interested in what we're doing,
but they killed it all.
Yeah, they signed off on the post show.
Brandon Fitzgerald did not look very happy, but no update.
No update from anybody.
I genuinely do not believe we're going to get an update until either the wee hours of this morning or tomorrow morning.
I had no real expectation we'd get one on the broadcast, just hoping.
And this is, again, very pessimistic and fully speculative.
We want to be unbelievably clear about that.
But you usually get quick updates when things are okay, right?
It's like, hey, checked in the back, got a concussion, okay.
I did not have an expectation that this would have a quick resolution.
I am just hoping it has a good one.
Yes.
So if we hear anything, I've reached out to the UFC.
I've reached out to multiple members of the UFC staff.
Just let me know if there is any update at all.
And once we get that, we will let you know,
let you know what that update is.
So, but the good news is if you are,
Hione Barcellos, you're getting $100,000.
Because clearly, without question,
that was the fight of the night, the main event.
Other bonuses go to in the least shocking,
other least shocking result.
Luis Hernandez, the star of the event in a lot of people's eyes.
Even when he called for it,
they still gave two people asked for bonus money,
and they gave two of them bonuses anyway.
Yeah.
And Yasvin Hadeghie, who just beat the holy hell out of poor Vanessa Demopoulos.
So they canceled the presser, really?
Wow.
Oh, I mean, that makes sense to me because I don't know.
I don't know if Dana was going to was, Dana wasn't there because he was at Zufu, right?
No, she's at Zufa having the worst press conference of his career.
Howony and Roses both went to the hospital.
Oh, Rosas do.
They said on the broadcast, he went also to get checked out the hospital.
So they're going to do a presser for Eileen Perez
After Paul Felder just called her shit
On live TV basically
How about a Lisa Edna's presser? What the hell, man?
So honestly, I'll take back everything I said against Feltner
Because apparently the media doesn't get to talk to Eileen Perez
So it's good that someone asked to that question, I suppose.
See? See, how they're doing the Lord's work?
How about that?
Yeah, like they're because they already spoke to Luis Hernandez
Hernandez. So the presser would just be Perez
a solo Perez presser and
Sharma or whoever else is there
to be the I mean you would prefer that right
but like they don't have the answer
like whoever it is
if Josh or whoever it shows up back there
to answer questions they're like
I don't have an update on how we don't know
and then like okay we're going to ask six more ways
and you should like I still don't know
rest of the results
well we should talk about this and give it some credence
well shout out to Tina Black
the ultimate fighter strawweight champion she just ran Melissa Amaya the F over she um
she had no chance in this fight absolutely no chances fight uh Brady highstand
rear naked choke against Rini Nakamura uh didn't see that one coming that was sick good stuff
for Brady he stand uh had awful vienna got a win Christian Edwards has a UFC win totally
I have another update, Mike.
This is from Arrow, Arrow, Hawani of Uncrowned M.A.
Or whatever, uncrowned combat at Yahoo Sports, Air Hawanee.
How many Barcellus is conscious, I'm told.
He is able to speak and move his fingers and toes.
Do not love that.
I mean, good that he can move them, but that's not like he can move his legs.
He can wiggle his fingers and toes.
I guess that probably suggests that if there is paralysis,
which was my big fear from this,
that it is perhaps temporary,
but that is scary as shit, man.
Scary as shit.
Yeah.
I mean,
so pretty much exactly what we got from,
from Evie.
So that's good.
He can move his fingers and toes, too.
That's so important update.
Yeah.
Still, I mean,
we still know,
like the actual problem.
Yeah.
I think we'll get that in the morning.
That's my guess.
Yeah.
So that's good.
He is,
he is,
and now he's out of the woods, at least in some way.
And yeah, and it's just one of those things we're going to be thinking about for a little bit.
And perhaps we can get another update as we continue on here.
I would like to make an announcement very quickly.
Sure.
I want to, to the chat, you know that I'm pretty quick with the wrench.
If you make a crass or unkind comment in this moment, you are getting a full ban.
There's not a timeout.
I'm going to fucking boot you.
So keep your shit on.
Okay.
There you go.
Take that.
Somebody said something extremely awful and about Barcellos?
Correct.
Oh, yeah.
Fuck them.
Goodbye.
So.
Goodbye.
Have some level of empathy and compassion for people.
And if you don't, you can get the fuck out of here and that's fine too.
Yeah.
Don't be a dick.
Christian Edwards.
Yep.
Mention him.
The man who got big tuned.
How about it? Elvis Brenner.
That was a sick knockout of Josiah Rale, Montel Jackson.
Another one of those bannam weights where, you know, when you actually can do, when you actually do stuff in fights, he's really good.
He hits really hard.
When he actually does stuff, he does really good things.
Aletangeli gets a spitty over John Castaneda.
I mentioned Yasmin Hadeghi, 62 seconds.
Just obliterates Vanessa Demopoulos, who I think they should still keep her on the
roster man. She's perfect
in this role. Just get out there. She's
fun. She's got a good following on social
and she gets Scott real good.
So that's
you need a spot for those
for those fighters. I'll give
her one more.
That's three in a row.
And this one, she just got cooked.
So that's like bad.
I mean, yeah,
he's good. But like I'll give her one more.
I don't think net like it were in a got to get rid
of her moment, you know, but
she is on she's 38 right is that right that make that number up she's up there let me let me double
check she's definitely in her mid to late 30 she is 38 she just turned 38 I'll give her one more
but yeah that's nope we can't can't keep doing it you got to show me show me something well I mean
we we we have the perfect matchup up up onto the next one exclusive on to the next one exclusive
on to the next I don't I have no idea where you're going here
she is going to be the octagon debut opponent
of the newest ultimate fighter Tina Black
that's just mean
that's what's going to happen
look I'm not saying you're wrong
I'm correct I'm right absolutely it may be mean
you may be right I may be crazy
but yeah
this might be a lunatic you're looking for
pretty much but that's what's going to happen so that is my pick 14 of black but let's talk about
the other one i was going to call you a k uh elimbach ackckcklebeck i believe is how you pronounce
his name took on mohammed ali awesomely in the other ultimate fighter fight the bantamate fight
and mohammed ali was getting a lot of attention jed you saw it during the the preview
show you shot in other spots and uh aclebeck was looking pretty good
he was getting takedowns.
It was kind of looking at this, like,
how is this dude going to win?
Because he is outsized by like seven inches
and probably 35 pounds right now.
And it's,
and then we saw what happened.
Holy shit.
One of them,
truly maybe the most crazy illegal knee I've ever seen.
And they got a raise.
They actually decued him.
They decued him.
So Acklebeck is the ultimate.
fighter champion by disqualification, Jed.
It's got to be a first time.
I wish we had AK to confirm, but I think that's correct.
Also, as the chat is noting, Ariel Helwani of uncrowned combat from Yahoo Sports has tweeted again.
We can't confirm this, but it's Ariel.
I trust his information is good in this respect.
He's out of the CT scan, I'm told, no results, but he's able to speak and able to move
his body.
So if somebody, and then we're going to veer pure interoperable.
pure speculation for just a moment.
Somebody who I showed the clip to who is a medical professional
suggested to me that
there could have been, it could have been something
they, I don't, I'm not a medical professional. I don't know that.
The terms or whatever.
But a temporary paralysis
because of some like spinal
contusions or something.
And if that's the case and he's, it's temporary, that's terrific.
So the fact that he's,
able to move
or allegedly seemingly more like in a better way
again thoughts up man
really want this to not be a very tragic thing
that we watched 100%
thoughts on the way the that tough fight ended jed
and I'm actually getting it right no no contest
a straight up DQ
yep
he is
sorry more reports are coming in but they're all saying
roughly the same thing so it's not big deal
great. I didn't know if they were going to do it honestly because they never do.
And this is one of those things where like some people were a bit of a way where it's like,
that should be legal. And I firmly agree. I'm all the way on board. It should be legal,
but it's not. And so if it's not legal, you can't do that. It was a weird situation,
like the way it happened. My biggest concern was how long it took them to call the fight off.
because like after he got like after they got separated he just laid there like staring with a thousand
yard stare i was like that dude can't fight again like he can't we can't get a five minute break and go
back he's done done they finally did and that's good and i i will also like i just want to note this
shout out to him he did not like celebrate that when he was he looked honestly he looked concussed
to me again not a doctor but like he didn't totally look like he was like all the
way aware of what was going on and they handed in the trophy and he just like gave it to some guy in
his corner and stood there and was weird and like it did not this wasn't a an aljo didn't do this either
so maybe it'll come out afterwards where aljo's like partying in the thing which again i actually
defended at the time and still think it's pretty good but like he didn't seem i don't think this was
a put on which some people suggested i think he had knead in the head really hard a dude was
super not conscious for like a hot minute or he might have been conscious but he was not
there. And it sucks for a tournament to end that way, but don't, but that knee was just so
legal. Like, it was, Mike, I don't know if you had a chance to see the Dante Moore incident
earlier tonight. It was slightly more legal than that, but it wasn't much more like illegal.
You know, have you seen the Dante Moore hit from earlier tonight?
It was crazy, dude. It was insanely bad. This was not that bad.
But it wasn't super far away from that bad either.
Yeah, it was, it was some crazy stuff.
Yeah, and the whole like, oh, he flopped.
I didn't see that much of it, but I just saw, I saw some of it.
I saw a lot of it.
Oh, did you?
Okay.
I saw a lot of it.
I was like, damn, dude, that was pretty flush, bro.
It was pretty flush.
Even people I respect was like, yeah, some suspected, some, some sussy stuff going on.
I saw the one person that I know you're.
talking about.
Yeah.
I was a bad take.
That was a bad take.
A little surprise.
Like he was still holding his leg.
I was like,
yeah,
man,
how many times have we seen fully like out of it?
Fighters try to wrestle the referee.
You know,
like he was holding the leg because the leg was there and he is in survival mode.
He was very concussed.
Yeah.
That was pretty wild stuff.
All right.
We're going to go to the peeps in just a moment.
And,
uh,
I'm just trying to get,
I'm trying to get.
I'm trying to get some,
I'm trying to confirm some of the reputation.
Jintricks,
I know,
because I know we've got a lot of people coming in,
um,
like they,
they aren't here for the whole thing.
The latest update we have from a couple of different sources at this point is that
he has had a CT scan.
He,
how many barceles is conscious and is able to have some,
some movement,
the extent to which is a little unclear,
but it seems that he is moving again and he has had scans at the local
Vegas hospital and is waiting for,
a result, but he's conscious and moving, which are two very good things.
Yes, 100%.
Let's go.
Lopsided, I'm uncomfortable watching Josiah Harel fight.
That's a bad knockout, man.
I was, I'm not shocked because the Yasmy Ergu was very cool, but I kind of felt like Ellsbruner
maybe did deserve the performance of the night bonus there.
Oh, yeah.
the year iiardee one felt a little bit
i mean i i also share this like jersai herrell thing but
it just felt a little i don't know like a
it was a bigger upset it was
sort of much faster a face plant like it was a tougher one i
think maybe i would have given that one over over ergui
yeah what did you think of the
what do you think of harrell man
are you concerned about watching him fight this is like
this is just real bad knockouts in a row
look one one is a thing that happens like anybody can get caught two is not necessary like two is a
streak but it's not necessarily like all right we're just done here but it's that is two tough
ones you know it's two two really bad looks um so if a third one happens we should pull the plug
would be but i i'm at that stage or the first one i won't even think
about it it happens in the sport the second one my ears are perked up i am now looking at this
with you know i'm i'm i'm herb dean i'm in the hokey pokeying of do i jump in do i jump out
we're still going to let it go but keeping a close eye on it because that's the two bad ones
very bad i was wondering what he would look like at lightweight and uh yeah his wrestling's
really good his striking is okay but his striking defense especially this level is
very scary man very scary uh Ryan prayers for Dante Moore and Hione
in prayers indeed prayers indeed hopefully we can uh I mean I think Dante Moore's fine
I mean fine is very relative term there he very clearly showed fencing
he got super concussed like super duper concussed but that I assume that in a couple of weeks
he'll be back to playing football but yeah that was awful
lazy bed time for her harold to call it a career
You know what?
He's a little young.
The UFC if he can.
Yeah, I mean,
the fact that he's even made it to the UFC
after everything this dude's gone through is,
is just a huge.
There's not a lot of moral victories in MMA, Jed,
but him fighting in the UFC fight is a moral victory.
And him getting two fights in the UFC is a moral victory.
Like, yeah.
I mean, you try giving him one more,
but wouldn't hate if he just went on to coaching or something like that.
at this point, like dude's at brain surgery.
I don't,
the last thing you want to see is him just continuously getting knocked out,
uh,
after having moya moya.
Just pretty,
pretty scary stuff.
So yeah,
we'll see what happens with him.
And we'll go.
Uh,
do you think Dana will make an update tonight?
Probably not.
Most likely not Dana.
It's not going to come from Dana.
Yeah.
I don't think it's going to come from Dana.
What did you think he was,
boy,
did he have a tough he had a tough day today he uh he shows up at the super boxing press conference
sits down he's like this is the fight of the night right we're still doing the fight of night
performance the night thing with sufa boxing which apparently uh did not sell out wherever they
were at um the main event was real bad i honestly couldn't tell you who was fighting this is where
everybody was was saying and then dana shows it was like i wonder where you guys are
asked me about. And of course, all the questions are about the Tyson Fury Anthony Joshua
fight and all the bullshit and all the stuff Max Kellerman was saying and all the stuff that
Mike Oppenger was tweeting out verbatim copy paste from Daddy Turkey. And Dana was just very
defensive about stuff. A lot of the same Eddie Hearn is full of shit. No one's more full of shit
than Eddie is. And normally, I will say this, because we've talked about this, Jedd,
many of post-fight shows coming out of the UK scene, especially with the UFC.
Boy, the media rounds are real tough in there.
Those pressers are brutal for the most part, especially with the questions that are being asked and all of that.
Shout out to a couple of them in there today, because they were pressing Dana, and it was really good.
And they weren't even like super duper deep follow-up questions.
They were just following.
They're not even pressing, and they're just asking them, like, very reasonable questions.
and Dana, Dana doesn't have those asses anymore, so he doesn't, he doesn't have, like,
he doesn't know how to respond.
Because the whole thing is like, it's also very silly to me.
I think that this is very straightforward.
When you, you can have a different opinion, right?
If people want to do a different way, but it's very clear that whether you agree with
Eddie Hearn morally or not, whether you agree with Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua's
insistence that Dana not be involved, per all.
the information out there, that is in the contract.
That whether you like that or not, they agreed to do this fight under these terms where
Dana was not involved.
And then somebody's like, okay, well, we want Dana involved.
Well, then why did we do this contract?
Because we're not going to do that.
And I have yet to have a single individual explained to me what Dana is bringing.
Dana has been asked that many times and he won't answer it.
And that's like, this just wouldn't be a big deal if somebody could answer like a very basic question.
What are you contributing?
Like that and that's it.
And if you can give me like, here's what I'm doing.
And at least when this fight was in MSG, it was a bad answer to be like, I booked the venue.
Well, literally anybody can book MSG if you have the money in the capital, right?
Like that at least was something, but now it's in Cardiff.
Like what are you, what would you say you do here?
And somebody asked him that and he was like, you know what I do.
And they're like, no, I don't.
I'm asking you.
Please tell me.
He's like, oh, are you just, you're just going to, bro, like, tell us what you do.
Like, no.
What I love.
Yeah, that is part of it.
The question that he asked, which I thought was perfect, because this is, this is the,
this was the one question I would have asked him.
Hey, if the fight was rested upon whether you are involved or not, would you step away in order
for this fight to happen?
And Dana's answer was, that's not up to me.
And the answer that set Dana off was,
well, who is it?
And the follow-up was, well, who is it up to?
And he was like, well, who do you think it's up to?
And he goes, Turkey.
And he's like, oh, you'd give me leading questions.
This is your first day in fucking boxing?
Would you come across the fucking street?
Your fucking cell phone in your hand and do this?
And you have no idea what folks going on in the sport.
This is your first time watching boxing?
It's just like, that was a very fair question.
I loved the question.
Like, if I had one question to ask data,
that was the exact question.
I would have asked him. If the fight was literally hanging in the balance based on your
participation in it, whether you're part of it or not, would you step away in order for this
fight to happen? There's a great question. That's the only question I would have asked him.
And his answer was, that's not up to me. And he goes, well, then who was it up to?
I'm involved in the fight. Okay, well, what do you do here? I'm a people person. I have people's skills.
It's like, okay, but like, tell us what you do.
And that's the thing.
And I've been getting in this fight all week and I'm really tired of it.
But like I just nobody's told me anything that makes sense to me.
If the answer is just, I'm Turkey like Turkey and I are business partners and friends.
And I want this for my ego.
And Turkey's like, yeah, whatever.
I get what I want because I'm Turkey, right?
Like when does Turkey knock out in a thing he's ever wanted his whole life?
If that's just the answer, okay.
And like, I'm not disputing that Turkey Al-a-Shee.
has the right to pull his money from this promotion if they don't if if he wants something and
they are not willing to do that yes he is willing to in the exact same way that anthony
Joshua and Eddie Hearn are are totally within their rights to be like yeah no I'd like to
enforce the contract we all agreed to and if you're going to change the terms I'm out like that's
every like that those are acceptable things and then to side with the again like why are you
siding with Turkey. Like, tell me why
what Dana is doing. If you,
if somebody can get on there and be like, what he's going to do
is he's going to promote this fight
by doing X, Y, and Z.
Be like, okay, then he's adding value.
Sure, that makes sense.
But if it's just Turkey
has a business relationship with Zufa boxing and he
wants to put his name on it to add
cachet to Zufa boxing,
no, why would Eddie, why would
Eddie Hearn and AJ and Matrum want to do that?
Tyson Fury doesn't care
because Tyson Fury is
purely interested in the bottom line and also kind of just wants to piss off Anthony Joshua.
But like why this is all fine.
These are people who have different wants and it's not working.
But it is very strange for like everybody to side not with the guy who's been very upfront.
Like go look at any of these interviews and every time Eddie Hearn will tell you exactly why he wants what he wants.
Now that could be a lie.
He's a promoter's lie all the time.
but he is answering direct questions.
Hey, why don't you want Dana White involved?
What's he doing?
Like, what is his involvement in the sport?
Hey, Dana, what is your job?
I'm involved in the fight.
Like, okay, but that's like, what is your job?
Like, they tell you who they are, man.
If one guy can answer questions and the other doesn't, to me, that says something.
This fight isn't going to happen.
Like, I just, I think it's over.
And we're going to keep spinning our wheels forever because we got into the world's worst ego contest.
I truly hope.
Now I just don't want to happen just because it's the funniest outcome.
It's the funny outcome.
Or AJ or AJ just fight somebody else and on Netflix.
And that's fine too.
Like this whole thing, like the whole thing is just so stupid.
Like if you, we're here for the fans.
Like it was just like, hey, Dana, can you just like, like, dude, you can like promote in the back end?
But can you just like stay home?
And then we can make the fight.
Like, how fucking hard is that?
I don't understand why he, like, I'm with you.
Like, I don't understand why he has to be part of it.
For, like, for this fight to move forward.
Like, if it's just him, if he's the one obstacle that's getting everybody that will get everybody on board, like, get him the fuck out of there.
I don't understand.
I don't understand.
The whole thing's going to be a disaster anyways, Jed, because it's going to be a ring magazine production.
it's going to be on, yes, it's going to be on Netflix,
but it's going to be a ring production.
We're going to see Coppinger on the screen,
looking like the dude from scanners all night.
And then we're going to have 14 hours between fights.
It's just going to be a shit show.
Dude, think about this.
What are we doing?
Because, like, this is the thing that I thought
when Dana started talking today,
the thing I was watching it,
I was just like,
you shouldn't be involved anyway.
Like, if we said everything else aside
and just started from here and called here,
ground zero.
Like everybody should be like, hey, Dana, don't sit this one out.
Because like, if you're involved, like, you have subsumed the conversation around these
two athletes.
The conversation is not Fury and Joshua boxing.
It is the pissing contest between these two entities.
Like, that's, Eddie Hearn was right.
When he was like, I think me versus Dana a box match to be the biggest fight boxing
you make right now.
Yeah, probably is.
Like, and that's by continuing this on and having this very stupid fight.
fight, like you have taken all of the focus away from the athletes.
And so if you do, if somehow he ends up getting involved, then like, what do you think, Dana,
what do you think those pressers at that event will be?
You know, you wouldn't.
I know there's conflicting reports, but like it seems to me, in my opinion, that they basically
didn't really let Oscar de La Jolla show up to the Ryan Garcia fight, despite him being
the ostensible promoter of this bout.
like they functionally blacklisted him
because you didn't really want to do with the like,
hey, me and Oscar are going to be on a stage promoting the same fight.
Like, that's going to be a thousand times worse if this happens.
Just for once in your life, walk away.
Be like, hey, a thing happened without me.
That's okay.
I'm focused on Zufa boxing, you know,
because that's not, this isn't Zufa boxing.
There aren't any Zufo Boxing fighters involved in this event.
Dude, the card is the day before UFC 335.
Focus on UFC 335.
Put your promotional energy towards a UFC card for the first time this year.
Do that.
Do that.
Like leave PowerSlapp alone for a week.
Leave boxing alone for a week.
You're fine.
Put your promotional push.
Get excited and get fans excited about a UFC event for the first time in a long time.
Do it.
Please.
Mike, you said earlier that if you had one question asked Dana,
it would have been that one talking about.
the question that reporter asked me talking about.
And this is why you're better than I am.
Just a better person,
certainly a better media member.
Better at everything,
really.
Because at this point,
if I had,
at this point,
if I had one question that I could ask Dana,
I'd get the microphone and I'd be all sweet.
Like,
Dana,
hey,
thanks for doing this.
It's so great.
I only have one question
and I'll get out of here.
You talk to these other people.
So,
remember when you said that the UFC is better than boxing because you make the fights that people want
and you didn't do that in the UFC and now you've come to boxing and you've actively sabotaged
the fight that people wanted do you have a comment on that because it's just like he he entered boxing
his whole thing is like I make the fights and people like buddy you miss the fights we want all the time
Like, people came into last year wanting two fights, and they didn't get either of them.
All anybody started to talk about last year, and frankly, for like a good chunk of this year, was,
we really want to see John Jones, why Tom Aspin, or really want to see the Lidipaterpichita's a mock, Jeff.
Neither of those happen.
And now you're in boxing for nine months, and you turf a fight that had been in the process for a decade and was finally over the line.
Like you are not
Come on man
Just walk away and give us this one
What was the question
The question was
Do you remember
That day does it do
What was the question anymore
Now he literally has
He has an AI
Little AI computer in front of him
And while the question is done
He waits for it to like
Load up what the question was
And then he attempts to answer it
And it's just
Oh it's so brutal man
Like there's just, it's no effort at all.
It's such a, ah, it's so crazy.
It's crazy.
Can somebody please, like, can somebody please come along and challenge them?
It's not going to happen anytime soon, but can someone truly just come along and challenge him?
I have another update, Mike.
This is again from Leo Gamars, uh, who says that Davy Ramos, who is part of Hone's team,
posted a video on his Instagram, uh, saying the fighters undergoing CT scans we knew.
telling fans stay calm,
everything is okay.
So it's not like a huge update
on things that have happened,
but a member of his team
seems to think that they're in
good shape.
Okay.
So again, hopefully.
Let's see.
Okay, so he did put out a video,
but yeah, we'll have to get that.
I said, isn't it in Portuguese?
Yes.
So there you go.
Ironically, that was a great day and impression.
Yeah, I mean,
like it. It's just the greatest hits, man, over and over again. What was the question? Oh, there's
always one fucking stupid question at every press conference. Congratulations. You're the one.
Like, it's crazy, dude. Like, it's, it's unbelievable, man. It's unbelievable.
Do we have anything else? Do we have any more super chats? Do we have anything else?
There's definitely at least a super chat or two in there. Yeah, I think we got everything in the super chat
department. I'm going to scroll up. I missed that we got one of those. Yeah. Yeah, let's see what
The Dante Moore one, I didn't realize we'd done that.
I just thought you were saying it.
Press conference canceled.
Yes, the press conference was canceled because there was nobody to do the press conference.
Hione certainly wasn't coming.
Rawleros Jr. was sent to the hospital.
And unless you wanted 30 minutes of Eileen Perez, and it doesn't seem like a single soul wanted that,
there was no press conference.
So listen, if you want to go watch a funny press conference, go watch the zoo for boxing one
and watch Dana just fall apart up on that desk while people just asked him normal questions.
That's the thing.
I just don't know why you have to be mad about it too.
You could just be like, yeah, you're nice question.
He fucking showed up, Jed, and was like, gee, I wonder what you guys are going to ask me about.
Yeah.
You knew it was all coming.
Dude.
Like, what's the problem?
I would really love to see what his chat GPT answers are because I feel like he just goes
with it, you know?
He reads them.
Like he reads the,
he reads them verbatim.
Yeah,
until he's like,
there's not enough anger in this.
And I got to be more mad about it.
And then he starts going.
It's freaking crazy, dude.
Before we get out of here,
Mike,
because I think we're going to get out of here in a moment.
What else?
Did you watch BKFC tonight?
I watched the main event.
Okay.
So did I.
Well,
I like half watched it.
I had at one point had five screens up tonight.
It was a lot.
How do we feel?
We old Romero, 50-year-old, we all Romero.
I feel like that was a bigger robbery, honestly, than any of the other stuff in the UFC.
I completely agree.
Completely agree.
I scored it.
My heart scored at 4946 for Romero.
A small part of my brain scored at 4945 for Romero because there was a knockdown.
He didn't get any fucking credit for.
I was told you that happened after the bell, but I'm not certain.
I'm not certain either, but if it was regardless, at worst, it was 48, 47 Romero.
I had, like, when they were lining them up, I was like, there's no world, Darren to won the fight.
And then, like, two seconds for the night.
I was like, oh, this is in the UK.
He might get some home cooking.
And then it was three 4946s.
I was like, what the fuck?
fight were they watching that's crazy that is crazy and it just go look like i know we talk about like
yeah it's run by round but yeah yoel won at least three rounds maybe four and yowel didn't even look
like he was in a fist fight and darin till looked like half of his face was falling off of his body
so like if i thought it was pretty clear yowl won uh my biggest takeaway was
Darren Till's a
fine fighter
a fine boxer
Mike Perry
he needs to stay the F away from him
don't fight Mike and BKFC
dude you find a way to box him
with gloves on or get in an MMA fight with him
do not bare-knuckle box him
because he's going to do bad things
Darren Till
yeah
my big takeaway is that Y'all Romero is
I think he's just the best athlete who's ever fought in MMA
it's great dude
It's insane that he is 50.
And like, I retweeted something from a person I've never seen before who was like,
my hot take is that Yo Romero is in fact totally natural.
His body just naturally produces trend.
I was like, honestly, I kind of buy it.
Like, I don't, it's insane that he is still like him and Suhudo.
Sohudo's 40 years old.
It looked good at boxing.
I mean, you know, it's miss fits.
It's been bought like a guy who has done real boxing and looked very good.
Like just insane athleticism.
And the fact that Yoel also like doesn't wear damage ever,
like he just doesn't look like he gets cut or beat up.
Insane.
Just truly ludicrous.
What a guy.
What a guy.
Yeah.
Lockedwell.
Mike,
I have a question.
I'm not trying to be big fan of you guys.
Do you find R.
F entertaining.
As an M.A.
fan of you,
it does nothing for me.
And as a fan of you,
I like you covering MMA.
Fair question.
I like it.
I like it.
Now, is every event like an absolute heater?
No, it's not.
Miami, the most recent one,
there were some cool moments like Mugsy getting the pin last second
was pretty badass, what he was about to get tecked.
Was that the most recent one?
That was, was that two ago?
Two weeks ago.
Yeah, it was like two weeks ago against Tarzan.
Some competitive matchups,
but like it was kind of a slow-moving night.
And then, you know, Hamzaa Burns is actually quite fun.
because it burns got a take down on them and then colby and blal is exactly what i thought colby and blal
would be so like there's some squash matches some events are way more exciting than others it's way to
me i honestly have never watched aria no that's not so true i watched the moscow card live as was
happening shadow vpn world and that like it moves quickly even on the broadcast end but like in the
arena, like it moves 10 times faster. So like it doesn't seem as slow because there's always
stuff happening. Like match ends, they come on and they fire the crowd up and they do a bunch of
shit or they like interview a wrestler or something and then it's like on to the next thing.
So like, yeah, I like it. I like it. Is it heater after heater every single time? No, but
no combat sport is. And yeah, I like to, I like just being there for the weeks, man. Like,
Hamzaa Chimayev, like R.A. F. Hamzot is adult.
delight. The dude is delightful. He's smiling. He's having a good time. Uh, he says,
hello to everybody. Like, he's just a different cat out there. Armand's the same way. Like,
you see these, you just see a different side of these guys and gals, uh, especially the ones who
have been around the UFC machine for so long and seem so miserable half the times during
those fight weeks. They show up at RAF and they're just like, they're different people. They're
just happy and you just kind of get to see that different side of them. So,
Yeah, it's, it is what it is, man.
Vegas will be fun.
You get Hamzat and Armin on that card and we get some special stuff being,
being worked out as it relates to the, to the Vegas stuff.
So stay tuned for that.
I still think the product is good.
The bloom is a little off the rose for me.
It is still, I still like that it's short, you know,
it's three, two, three hours or whatever it is.
the pacing moves very quickly
as they just get wrestlers and go
they're in the position now
where
I want a little bit more from them
it's a lot of squash matches
and it's a fine line
because elite level wrestling
ends up being like super defensive
and not a lot of points are scored
so you have to navigate that because that's not fun
for anybody either
but
you know like they're just
there's starting
starting to be a little too much of like, why is this happening?
We know it's like, why is Jordan Burroughs wrestling, like, not real wrestlers?
Why is he guys, John Brady?
Yeah, like, that's like, sure.
And credit to Sean Brady in the buildup to that.
Because, like, I respected his talk at the pressors immensely where he was just like,
yeah, I'm not going to win.
He just owned it.
He's like, that's the greatest wrestler, like American wrestler maybe of all time,
certainly in the conversation.
I'm not going to win.
But what if I'm not going to win?
But what if I even look like kind of okay for a minute?
That'd be cool.
Like,
and it's just a good experience.
Like,
I do respect that,
but it's like,
okay,
we got a,
I think we've gone a little too far into like,
Mugsy versus thing,
that's fine because those,
it's a little more like a misfits.
These are both not real wrestler,
but kind of wrestlers.
But when we're doing like Olympic champions and stuff,
like when Kennedy Blades,
just like,
yeah,
let me wrestle some UFC fires.
Like,
I don't need to see you.
Like,
if it's Sarah McMannan,
who at least has a wrestling background maybe,
but I don't need to see you, like,
throw Alexa Grasso on her head
or whatever that's going to be.
That's very silly.
So they're doing,
they've turned a little too much in some ways,
but it's still,
it is still a tightly run product,
which I appreciate.
And not everything's going to be bangers all the time.
You're going to have peaks and valleys.
And so I'm sure it'll come back around.
Yeah.
I thought Moscow's very good.
It's more,
like,
for every,
you know kind of a tough one to watch or a defensive one you get kyle schneider versus uh ritziback
which was like the most electric thing i've seen live combat really good and like in such a long
time came out of nowhere and it was like unbelievable comeback stuff so like yeah dude they're they're
a year in they're just over a year in so let's see if they can keep this going i think the formula's
there maybe just throw a couple more spices in there mix that shit up what i need to see from them and i
I don't know if everyone wants this.
At one point, I forget who it was.
I guess it was one of their heavyweights.
So, like, maybe it was Wyatt Hendrickson or whatever.
But, like, Tristan Worf's.
They were doing a show in Tampa and Tristan Worf's was there, like, a sitting thing.
He was like, I want to wrestle you.
And I was like, look, I know Wyatt Hendricks.
He's like, I know White Henderson will win.
But Tristan Worf is also 360 and Wyatt Hendrickson is 260.
And he's an unbelievable athlete.
and I'm kind of at least interested in something like,
if you're going to be giving me Jordan Burroughs with Sean Brady,
which is a non-competitive nonsense match,
give me Jordan Burroughs versus Tristan Worf,
which is like,
how good of a wrestler are you?
Can you just move a 400-pound man?
I want to see that, you know?
Because like, that's, you can't do, like, people do it,
and there's a big part of Freak Show and May.
We've talked about it before on this show and others.
That's great, and I love that.
has a special place in my heart,
but there is always the downside
that like freak show MMA is really fun
until something terrible happens.
And like,
as how many Barsela has showed us tonight,
MMA is like,
there are real consequences that can happen in that sport.
And so you do need to treat it with some level of like respect.
Wrestling's wrestling, bro.
Like you can kind of do what if we had like,
I would do a series.
If I'm RF,
feel free to take this by the way.
I want you to do this.
If you can credit me,
at some point have chale be like the great jedd mashu who i person love and respect came up with this one we thought
was great take who's like take henry sahuto honestly you take henry sehudo former flyweight champion
former bannamweight champion i forgot what he wrestled marab at i don't remember what they wrestled at
you take henry sehudo and you do in january you go all right henry you're going to wrestle marab
or whoever it is somebody of comparable size it was like 150 pounds i think
Yeah, okay.
Sure, you do that at 150 pounds against Marab.
Then you beat Marab now, Henry, former Olympic champion.
We're going to level you up.
Are you just beat Marab, eh, at 150 pounds?
Let's go up to 160 and get him a 160 guy.
Then you go to 170 and you just have him month over month climb the ladder and be like,
can Henry Suhudo, Olympic gold medalist beat Sean Strickland in pure wrestling, you know,
or whatever dumb shit you want to do?
and like that would just be like a very interesting silly gimmick that I would be
I love this God that's a great idea
because you can wait like you can do that in this because no one will be like oh
like it would honestly be kind of funny to watch like Tristan Wirth just pancake Henry
Sudoh and a sprawl you know and like that would be funny be like okay look you can be a
world class wrestler there is some limit to weight ratios here maybe uh maybe Henry
Suhuda can welcome Ray Lewis to the organization.
How about that?
Maybe that's what we end up to.
We got to start small.
We get to start the linebackers before we get to Tristan.
So like, yeah, if you could.
If honestly, if you could do it like, all right, let's get to every, we're going to have
Henry over the course of a year wrestle every defensive player for the bucks.
Like some gimmick like that.
It would just be sick.
It would be very stupid.
And I would like it.
I would love it a lot.
So if you boys are.
listening or Mike next time you're at a show be like hey jet has this idea it might need some
workshopping right like I'm not saying we found it immediately but let's have some fun because that
would be very fun to me that would like that is significantly better and more entertaining and more
valuable than Jordan borough's wrestling Sean Brady it's like yeah he's going to instateck him got
it didn't didn't you have raf and our uh fantasy promotion I did oh see this is technically this is
your call this is me yeah it's great this is your call all right
All right, that's it. We have, again, no, no updates on the Hione Barcel situation.
Outside of what we heard and Dobby Ramos, we've seen this multiple.
So, hey, guys, Hione is fine. Everything is all right.
Everyone can stay calm. He just went to do the tomography now, but everything is fine.
We are here waiting from everyone stay calm. Or everyone can stay calm. Thanks.
Good.
There you go. I mean, we will see more, but hopefully you get some more tomorrow.
Maybe we get like a social media post from Hione or something like that and get more of an update.
But he's gone to guess his coaches will let us know because they'll probably have an answer before morning.
So it might be like two in the morning, but.
But good. I'm glad it seems to be okay.
Yeah. Onsen next on tomorrow.
He didn't leave one of the scariest moments of my career.
Yeah, very scary. Could have been a lot worse. Looked really bad.
But yeah, hopefully we have an update.
We'll talk more about it tomorrow.
On to the next one.
Get your match and making suggestions in.
And yeah, we're out of here.
Have a great rest of your night.
And we'll see you tomorrow.
SB Nation, great app.
It's the best app.
Get it.
Get it now.
We had so much fun watching a not spectacular card tonight.
Love you all.
Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life?
You know the same way you can skip an ad.
I get it. I'm Siaia and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
And today, I'm still figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
