Hi, everyone. I'm your host, Celeste Moore, and you are listening to the Down and Dirty
podcast, aka the Double D's of dating. This is a podcast for navigating the ins and outs
of modern midlife dating. Here, we will discuss the challenges that men and women face in
today's dating world. Like many industries, this one is forever changing, and I believe this
platform will help those who need or want it. Today, it is the best time to take control of
your desired outcome, whether it is a marriage, significant other, life partner, or just to gain
the confidence in dating once again. Every other week, we will dive in and talk about different
viewpoints that seem to be challenges in today's dating arena. So let's get into today's episode.
I want to welcome everybody to another episode of the Down and Dirty Podcast.
As always, I am your host, Celeste Moore. And I just want to say thank you to all of my listeners
who continue to listen and all of you new listeners, I appreciate you downloading and
listening to these episodes. I created this podcast, April 2022. And it was really to kind
of get my name out there and for people to know about what I do and what I offer to my clients.
And it really turned into something so much more beautiful, more than I had ever expected.
and it continues to grow. And moving forward this next year, I'm going to be launching twice a week
come February. So I think it's going to be super exciting. I'm going to be having a guest and I'm
going to be doing a solo episode once a week so that I can give you more information. And I have
so many guests that I've recorded already that I need to get their message out there. So I'm in
the relationship space, image space, dating space. And I have these amazing guests that want to come
on here and share their expertise. And so I hope everybody gets to take something away from each
of these episodes and implement them into your life, into your relationship, because I think
they all are. There's just a lot of relevant and great information. But anyways, what today I am
going to be talking about. It is my episode 74, which is really huge. This is the last episode
of 2023. And this whole year, I started launching once a week. And that has been truly just amazing.
I stretched myself quite a bit this year and felt that it was really necessary because I started
having guests come on the show that they were booked out for months. And they're like, oh,
when's my episode coming out? I'm like, okay, I think I need to up the game of every other work.
This year, I also started Talk Dirty to Me. Now, this is where I answer all of your questions
about sex, relationships, maybe things that you're just not super comfortable talking to anybody.
And it can be completely anonymous. And I've had really great questions. And I hope everybody here
has learned from people asking questions. So I felt so honored, too, to have all of these
experts on the show and listen to their personal experiences, listen to how they got to where they
are. And I hope you all did too. So I want to reflect on the year that I just had. I feel so
blessed and honored to have been out of the country three times this year. I started out 2023 in London
with an amazing photo shoot. I used this photographer before and makeup artists,
and they're the cutest team. I love them dearly and they did an amazing job. I was able to stay
at the Savoy, which is a phenomenal hotel and has a lot of history. So if you ever get to London,
check it out. At least have high tea there. It's beautiful. Gucci was actually a porter there and
so they had this pop-up for a year of all of Gucci's luggage and anything that was travel
related. So it was really cool. I actually ended up getting a Gucci backpack because, you know,
why not? I needed a new one anyway. So it was really great. I love London so much, so much
amazing food. I'm a vegan and there were so many great Michelin star restaurants there. So I got to
explore and eat there. And, you know, it was just a lot of fun. I was also to escape in the mid-year
to Turks and Caicos for a really good friend's birthday. And that was beautiful. Stayed at this
gorgeous house. I was able to take boat rides and jet skis and just do all that fun, you know,
island stuff and had a private chef one night and ended up becoming friends with chef. So
super fun. You just never know who you're going to meet and where you're at. So
take every opportunity that you possibly can. I would say yes to as many things as possible,
especially when you're single and you're dating and you just never know where you're going to
meet someone, whether it's on the airplane, whether it's at a friend's party, whether it's,
you know, in the grocery store. And I just want you to really be aware because this can happen
anywhere. So keep your eyes open and your options open. My last trip out of the country was to
Italy, Milan mostly. And I was absolutely lured because I had no idea that it was fashion week.
And I'm going to tell you a little bit about me. My first fashion week I ever went to was last year
in New York and was invited again this year, but it was so last minute that I couldn't attend.
And I was just devastated because this is ultimately one of my favorite, favorite things
in the world. And for anybody that's out there that has any connections to fashion week, I want
to go see men's shows because that's obviously what I love to do. I will see a women's show I did
and I support all these fashion designers. I think it is one of the most amazing things I've ever
experienced. And so I was in Milan and I was just like, oh my God, the energy and the fashion and
the people dressing and the craziness. I love every second of it. And I was just wishing I had
an invitation to a show, but that is in my future. I promise you. Because it reminded me a lot of
Paris Fashion Week, which I have not been to either, but I've just seen on TV. So for me to
be there at that moment was just, even though I wasn't going to a show, was just like the best,
the best feeling I love seeing upcoming fashion some of my favorite men's designers I would say
majority are Italian designers they make the most amazing quality fabrics and tailored pieces and
they're just gorgeous so anyways I love Italian clothes and so a lot last little stopover was to
a lake called Lake Garda. And at the end, it's called Sirmione. And it was just really beautiful.
Went with some friends for a birthday. And, you know, it was a beautiful time of year to go. So
I feel really lucky and blessed. And that's kind of what I did on the personal side of things. Well,
it was a lot of it was for my career as well. So I love doing both at the same time. Although Turks
was, was definitely just a vacation. And some of my other trips, obviously the last couple of years,
I've been going to a place called Miraval and it's like this mind health wellness type of
property. And, you know, you really go to reflect like with your body and what you're putting in
your body and working out and mindfulness and how you can be a better person, how you can show up
better. And when you're an entrepreneur, when you're in business like me, 80% is self-improvement,
self-wellness, keeping up with the things that make me a better person so that in return as a
coach and as a consultant, I have to walk the walk as well. And I think that's really important for
people to know. I put in as much effort into myself as I do for my clients. And I think that's
also good to know right and I'm always staying up to date with like what's going on and what the
best thing for you is because I think we as humans just need to be better and more self-aware and
work on mindfulness because it really just makes everything better and it's hard it's not always
easy it's not always easy to show up it's not always easy to say the things that I'm gonna
say that I do but it's important for me to build trust within myself because if I say stuff that
I'm going to do for myself and don't do that, then I mean, that just proves to myself that
I'm not worthy or I'm not trustworthy. So just wanted to put that in there. And, you know,
Miami and New York and a couple other trips to Vegas and whatnot. And I feel really great because
I did get a client through another client and I've had some really amazing clients throughout
the years. And I just want to appreciate you and thank you for all the support and love that you've
given me. And I hope in return, I've given you tenfold back because I have seen your confidence
grow. I have seen the light in your eyes light up when you put on that outfit and you realize
that that's your color and that's your style and you feel so good about yourself. And the coaching
that I do, I really do want to make people better. I do really want to build confidence so that you
have better marriages, have better relationships. You have that chance to meet your perfect partner
because it's really important in life.
You know, what's life if you don't have love
to share it with somebody?
But loving yourself first is very, very important.
So don't forget that because that's where it starts.
We can't give love without being loved.
And I just want to say thank you.
And to all my family and friends
who've supported me through this journey,
this last year has not been easy.
Personally, I have struggled for the last 20 years
through chronic pain.
and finally I have found the doctor for me to hopefully help me alleviate some of that
and in just a few weeks actually less than a week so you know it's come to the point where I'm ready
to be done with this part of my life nobody wants to be in chronic pain because it as much as it
does not define who I am and I don't know how else to say it other than it doesn't define who I am
it is a part of me and it has been and I'm ready to let that go because I'm ready for big things
and I'm moving into 2024 with huge big goals and huge big exciting things in my life and I'm so
excited for anyone that wants to jump on board with me because I'm ready to go so if you're
ready let's do it together the more support I have and you have I think nothing's impossible
Everything is possible.
I'm also a sole parent to a teenager, which definitely has its struggles.
And I think mid-year, I was going to lose my shit.
And thank God, by the grace of God, I was able to intervene in something that was really
personal into a very toxic relationship my daughter was in.
And I'm so grateful that she was able to step out of that.
And we have built our relationship from that moment.
We have gotten stronger.
We have loved each other more.
We're supportive of each other more.
And I'm grateful that she's experienced that before she goes off to college so that I am
able to interject because college, it's like, I'm not there, right?
And I think as parents, we struggle when our kids are in pain.
We struggle when we can't do much about it.
And I know that even though she's a teenager and has a mind of her own and a brain of her own, I still have the capacity to help her. So, you know, there's been quite a bit of challenges there. But you know what? We're at the end of 2023. We made it. We survived. We didn't die. We got stronger because of it. And I'm so grateful.
and I absolutely anyone that has a child that's like one of the best things in life and I'm so
grateful for the life and the relationship that we continue to build together and when I look at
my career this year my eyes were kind of in a fog for a couple months I'm going to be completely
transparent before October somehow some way I was scrolling on Instagram and I see this event that's
happening in Dallas. I don't know a soul. I don't know what rang true to me. I don't know what
jumped out, but all I know is that I had to be there no matter what. I almost bought the ticket
that second, but I gave myself till the morning and I talked to my daughter and she was like,
mom, this, you need to do this. And ever since I went to this event in Dallas, my career has
definitely changed for the better. It is gone in a trajectory I'd never imagined. And I think that's
the most beautiful thing too,
is that I was able to see things
that I couldn't see before.
I didn't know that was possible before.
And so I'm so excited to continue this journey
with this mastermind that I joined.
And everybody that's in this group is just phenomenal.
I am learning so much.
I feel my head spins.
I'm overwhelmed, but with good overwhelming spinning.
And I look back at 2023 and major growth
major shifts for me personally, business-wise, relationship-wise, and I am ready to jump into
2024 healed from surgery. I have a strategic plan to provide all of you amazing people who
have asked for more than just my personal one-on-ones for really amazing things I'm going
to be launching. And I really want you to stay tuned and follow me because it's going to be
great. I think I'm going to be able to provide you with so much great dating advice, more image
advice, if you will, and things that are going to help you succeed in your relationships. And
with the podcast launching twice a week, it's going to be a really fun and exciting year. So
I want to jump on here and say thank you so much. I feel so honored and blessed and grateful for all
my family, friends, clients, new people that I'm meeting in this world. And you know, my heart is
so full. And I feel so loved and supported. And from the bottom of my heart, I truly love you
