Starting point is 00:00:00 So you've interviewed some of the biggest celebrities, Dwayne Johnson, Margot Robbie, Sydney Sweeney. What have you noticed about these celebrities? The biggest thing I've noticed about these celebrities is that they're normal people. So how is like TikTok shop like on there? Are you just on there for hours and you have a product? You sell it to the audience? My thing is like don't stay on stream for six hours if you haven't made a sale. You don't make a sale by 30 minutes to get off. How do you choose your products? I choose things that I like. Okay. I choose things Hi, if you don't know me, my name is Celeste Moore. I'm a certified image consultant and I help influencers, speakers, and entrepreneurs really discover and master their own unique
Starting point is 00:00:39 style so that they can command presence in any room that they walk in. Today, I'm very fortunate and blessed to have my guest, Garen Flowers, on the show. He was on my last show, but this is a whole different concept. And I really want to dive in and talk to him today about what's going on with him and where his journey has really led him to now. Let me tell you a little bit about him. You know, it's from red carpets to TikTok shop. This Emmy nominated host and former Bachelorette contestant knows the power of showing up, standing out and staying relevant in this episode. We're going to dive in today using images, presence and authenticity to captivate millions on camera and off and he's got some spicy advice for anyone trying to
Starting point is 00:01:26 level up their own camera game and land major opportunities by showing up with confidence the one this one particular is a must watch guys so garen thank you for being on the show today yeah absolutely i'm loving the set and i know i had to dress up i knew you were gonna be dressed up. So thanks for having me. Thank you. I know the, the last podcast was virtual, which was great, but this is so much better. This is amazing. Yeah. In that in-person connection, this beautiful set, you can't beat it. So now you are a pro at interviewing. So I have to be a little bit honest on the last show. I was so nervous because not only were you, um, an adjunct professor at USC And I think that for, for English of all things, and that really made me not that I'm not educated,
Starting point is 00:02:14 but there's so many things I think in today's world that we say, that's probably not correct because you were doing these little blips every day on your socials of like errors, um, grammar errors. So I was like, Oh my God, I have to make sure I'm sounding perfect today. but anyways I just thought that was a little funny so you've interviewed some of the biggest celebrities I mean Dwayne Johnson Margot Robbie Sidney Sweeney what do you notice about these celebrities and how they show up and how important their image is and really commanding attention in those moments the biggest thing I've noticed about these celebrities is that they're normal people you know they can celebrities can feel like they're the celestial not celestial that's not
Starting point is 00:03:06 the right word celebrities can feel like they're like better than us right like there's something about them they were born a certain way or they have a certain talent or whatever it may be but they're just normal people and when you meet them it's like wow this person is a human being that is just doing big things because they're consistent or because they work hard or because they whatever you know and so that's the that's the most common thing is that they're consistent okay and then every now and then you meet a celebrity and you're like you're not normal like like the rock he's not a normal person he's six what six six seven absolutely jacked i mean when you when you see his workout routine and his life routine it's like you're not a normal human being but but most
Starting point is 00:03:50 celebrities are like this is a normal person that figured out a way to reach the peak of success because I interview A-list top actors and actresses. So, you know, I get to interview the biggest of them, Tom Hanks, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, you know, yeah, Ludacris, Halle Berry, I mean, the top of the top. And, you know, they're just normal people. They're normal people who are talented and they were able to harness that talent into a business.
Starting point is 00:04:23 did you ever feel nervous or insecure before an interview oh yeah all the time and i still do i still do because these are people that i value and and look up to you know um even like small smaller actors a lot of the smaller actors will be like on like your favorite show you know they'll kind of be like you're watching a show and then they're in a movie and you're like oh i get to interview such and such so they may not be a household name but you're like i know them because they're on my favorite show so sometimes i'll be more nervous to meet them than i am an a-lister you know so is it because you don't know them as much you don't have enough information because they're like they're like the current hot thing okay because i'm currently watching them
Starting point is 00:05:07 yeah so it's like oh wow like this person i'm like really into how well they're performing on this like like for instance there's i'm watching severance yeah and there's plenty of there's big names on severance but then there's some new people that i don't know so if they i if i was interviewing them for a movie i'd be like yo i'm such a big fan of yours on severance you know yeah so yes it's kind of like that do you ever get to show that like excitement to them or do you like hold back and you're like i'm a professional in this space yeah and while i appreciate your skills i'm just going to be like great at what i do so like you know a lot of people will say i don't get starstruck i don't i don't care about celebrities and that's such a that's
Starting point is 00:05:49 such a lie some people probably but like everybody does everybody gets excited to meet someone yeah you know and so i think i think professionally i definitely hold back because like i'm here to interview you and to talk to you so professionally i will yeah but like after i'm done interviewing someone if i really value their work i'll let them know like hey look i love you on severance or i love you on such and such show or like i've been watching you my entire life and i try not to say that? Cause like, I don't want someone to feel old, but like some, some celebrities would be like, yo, I've literally been watching you since I was a kid, you know? Um, so I like to give people their flowers, you know, no pun intended being my last name. I like to give
Starting point is 00:06:26 people their flowers. And so sometimes I just get excited to meet someone, you know, but I'll do that for anybody. You can be a no name who posted a song and I'm like, oh, that song is freaking amazing. Like there's this, this, uh, uh, guy I met at church and we just followed each other. we had like a 10 minute conversation follow each other the other day he posted a song that's kind of like 90s pop NSYNC Backstreet Boys style and I was like bro that song is freaking amazing and then I re-shared it on my Instagram story and I just like gave him his flowers and I was super excited so I could do that for somebody who's a celebrity or someone who's just like I just met a random person on the street no I like that and do you think that these actors coming on to just do
Starting point is 00:07:08 let's just talk about same space interview with you do you feel that they need to really come across confident do you feel that they they present themselves in a way that or is there something that you noticed like across the board that they do to show up with confidence or is that too vague of a question no no i i understand what you're saying because they have reached a level of success right I think I think everyone has a level of insecurity or self-esteem and you know there's some people who haven't done anything in life and they're the most confident person you know yeah and there's people who've accomplished everything and still feel insecure so I think it it runs the gamut and so you know I've seen actors who you know are shy and still
Starting point is 00:07:55 don't love doing interviews and prefer to just be more introverted yeah and there's some that exude confidence so they're like i said they're just like normal people right you know there's nothing special about them confidence wise they just show up and work really hard and found the right connections and continued to grind and then they got that level of success right so let's talk about you in front of the camera yeah yeah okay you you seem to be very confident has this come with age with years of experience do you think that when you first started out you were like oh oh my God, I don't know how to dress, how to present myself, how to walk a red carpet.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Honestly, I don't know where it comes from. I don't like, I was super shy growing up. A lot of people think that's weird because like I'm so outgoing and so extroverted, but I'm super shy by nature, you know? And like, I remember when I was a kid, like I had to perform at the YMCA, like a Michael Jackson song.
Starting point is 00:08:52 And I just sat on stage like, and they're like singing and dancing and that wasn't me like i was like a kid who was like shy reserved and then in college i just just a light bulb switch and i just started hosting events i started um you know i joined a fraternity and i would step and i just became a performer a showman you know and i don't i don't know where it came from to be honest with you just it's just something was just in me you know you came into your own yeah you flowered yes yes i flowered yes absolutely so i'd love to talk about your recent switch into full creator mode how did this come about yeah so so i was a tv reporter that was my beginning of my career okay moved to
Starting point is 00:09:46 la to get into tv hosting and um become a game show host that's the ultimate goal and you know social media is a big part of anything entertainment whether you want to be a dancer a singer an actor actress um host you know social media is a big part of that so yeah i by nature was like okay i have to tap into social media but you know i still worked in a traditional media um uh a role with with Yahoo to you know make money to survive in LA and because I you know still enjoyed being a journalist that was how I made my living was being a writer for Yahoo and it got to a point where I was like oh I can actually make a living creating content and then that will allow me to have a full vertical of entertainment because I'm making money on social media but I'm posting for
Starting point is 00:10:37 the purpose of growing to help my entertainment career so i decided to leave yahoo in 2024 to focus fully on social media allowing me to like my whole day is consist of growing on social media and building my entertainment career which is was is the ultimate goal so okay so that still is the goal that's still the goal yeah and and talk about this uh stand-up comedy that you've been doing yeah yeah we're like have you always been a comedian no i mean i've always been like a class everybody says this i was the class clown you know everyone says that but like not everybody but a lot of people say yeah i was definitely the class clown for sure you know just trying to be liked and trying to you know take the heat off of yourself you know taking the heat off of yourself
Starting point is 00:11:22 is um a big part of that is making people laugh you know regardless of who it is and so i was always like a class clown type person i enjoyed making people laugh and becoming a host a big part of that nowadays you'll see is that there are no hosts anymore that are just hosts hired for game shows hired for competition shows hired for reality shows there's always a host that's coming from another world they're an actor they're a singer they're a dancer they're a chef they're an influencer they're a comedian you know like think about it any show you see current day that it has a reality show or a tv show or a game show a competition show it's like an actor comedian something and so i realized that just being a host you'll never
Starting point is 00:12:22 make it big as a host unless you create your own show yeah yeah like sean evans from hot ones he's just a host but he created his own show yeah you know with complex so he's allowed to be you know sean evans yeah he's allowed to just be a host he doesn't need to do other stuff right and then um i don't know if you heard about the pop the balloon series but i'm not the balloon is a major show in the black community um it's like a dating show okay and there's this woman named arlette that hosts the pop the balloon show and she's just a host you know and she made you know her and her husband made their own show so you can just be a host but you pretty much have to create your own beast okay outside of that you have to have some type of other component
Starting point is 00:13:06 and so getting into comedy was something that had i had been asked to do since i moved to la and i was just like absolutely not everything that i've done i was like absolutely not like friends of mine were like you should apply to be on the bachelorette i was like absolutely not friends of mine were like you should do stand-up comedy i was like absolutely not like there's no way you can get me to do that things that i was like afraid of have been the things that have changed my life going on the bachelorette like a lot of people think you want to do something like that but like not everybody who goes on a reality show initially wanted to do it yeah you know and stand-up comedy I didn't want to do it because I was terrified of like being
Starting point is 00:13:43 booed off stage or being you know embarrassed you know and not to say it still can't happen but that was the fear and I just faced that fear and I love stand-up comedy because it allows me to perform as much as I want to in LA you there's a there's a place to perform comedy every night you know monday through sunday multiple places and so hosting i only do that every now and then stand-up comedy i can perform anytime i want to yeah and i'll absolutely love it i see you on stage after stage or you doing an event or however it works in the comedy world but yeah you're killing it like i'm so proud of you i appreciate that yeah i was like you were in austin i was like what i was you didn't tell me i know literally like because i think you probably
Starting point is 00:14:29 didn't know it wasn't awesome i didn't know you lived there yeah but it was like hours before your show and i was like what yeah yeah well next time i go i'll let you know there or next time i come here i'll see if you're doing a show because i'd love to see so my funny enough my speaking coach i just started speaking on stage september last year so i have a really big is that jen gottlieb or someone else so jen gottlieb is not my speaking coach she i was in her mastermind okay yeah so that was um but this guy he also just started doing stand-up comedy oh to push himself to be a better speaker because it really does like you know you gotta think on the fly you gotta really craft and create these yes you know skits if you will so i can see how it can really
Starting point is 00:15:17 develop your speaking skills so it's really funny that um it just happens that he's just doing the same thing too he gets because he's like really like this white guy monotone like and then he'll just and then he has like a funny laugh so that he just kind of it's it's it's it's like interesting to watch him but okay but yeah so to watch your speaking uh journey i just was really curious your stand-up journey like what was that like and how did that really start but it's like that's you want to add that to your cv if you will so you can ultimately be a game show host correct yes yeah and how's that going it's going well it's going well you know i i have several hosting jobs there's hosting there's a million different hosting jobs okay not a million different but
Starting point is 00:16:05 there's a lot of different hosting jobs and so i do have a couple hosting gigs that i do nothing game show related but okay um you know i don't have anything yet that i'm hosting game show related but i'm getting there you know i'm networking working my way up i'm gonna start my own um uh like comedy dating show okay because i'd love to host any kind of show not just a game show right yeah and so i'm gonna start my own comedy dating show because like i said creating your own thing is the best way to become a successful host is to start your own show so hopefully that'll do well yes i think a lot of people especially in the entrepreneur world like oh they're waiting for an event for them to speak at or they're waiting for but when you create your
Starting point is 00:16:47 own right like there you go there it is yeah why wait you know when I first moved to Hollywood I learned that you have to create your own and it was a little frustrating at first I was like man like why can't I just get hired by you know extra or by e or by whatever to host the show and it's like that would be great but in Hollywood they really want you to create your own you know and especially while you're waiting for bigger opportunities and if you create your own then you have your own baby right right you know would you want to do that as a game show yeah i would love to create my own game show okay yeah you have a space to do it i really feel like it's going to happen for you do you want to do reality or or um like abc nbc like a i would do all the
Starting point is 00:17:31 primetime i would do all of it i would do all of it i would host the dating show i would host the competition show you know game show just a way to kind of encompass all that yeah game show can include dating competition you know i would host any of that i mean look at like this mr beast right right squid games like there's all these like different um his his style is game show style yeah he created his own game show channel and he's the biggest youtuber ever he created yeah you know he created his own way you can do it i have faith in you like this is like we've been talking about this for a minute and i just love that you're you're still doing the things yeah right because stuff doesn't just happen overnight i mean yes it can i'm not saying it doesn't like
Starting point is 00:18:16 the universe it's it's here it's here for garen he has a show like it's already it's already in play but but i think it's really great that you're still like this is my this is my dream it's what i want to do and you just keep doing the things to get you there thank you yeah i that yeah so what else are you gonna do just try to listen you just gotta go for it so how is like tiktok shop like on there do you are you just on there for hours and you have a product and you're just trying you like you sell it to the audience yeah yeah do you know the premise of tiktok shop a little bit that's all i know yeah that way so tiktok infuses entertainment with shopping oh okay there you go that's it that's literally what it is entertainment shot qvc yeah um
Starting point is 00:19:01 um amazon you go there to shop you know timu or temu however you say i like i thought it was always temu but i heard someone say temu the other day so you're like whatever i need to figure out how to say you know i'm the grammar guy i need to figure out how to say this so like that word amazon wish sheen the mall you know those are places you go to buy you're in that mindset of i'm going here with the purpose of shopping tiktok instagram x you know pinterest or not pinterest because pinterest people do shop but like you don't go to those platforms with the expectation to to shop tiktok said screw that you know we're gonna create an e-commerce leg to our platform we're gonna call it tiktok shop and we're going to have creators infuse
Starting point is 00:19:53 the videos with shopping and at first i was very anti-tiktok shop very anti-tiktok shop when i first noticed that i was like what is this crap i was like what is this crap like this is crap they're literally forcing shopping upon me i was so pissed i was so pissed i i was like i was pissed at the point was like i'm not gonna use tiktok anymore so then i stopped using tiktok and then that's when i decided to leave yahoo and i started doing what's called user generated content which is like helping businesses uh market themselves right through like organic ads and ugc and tiktok shop are very similar and so once i started doing ugc that kind of like opened me up to the possibility of tiktok shop kind of like opened up that world yeah you know
Starting point is 00:20:44 but i also was like fearful i was like man my community of people on tiktok don't know me as like a tiktok shopper you know and and i think i stopped a lot of tiktok people from doing tiktok shop is like their community's not used to that and so ugc opened me up to the possibility of it and then i saw the work that went in with ugc hours of creating pitches and finding brands and pitching them and then getting paid 150 to do the do a four five six hours of work and then tiktok shop 10 minutes of work and people are making 50k yeah yeah now obviously that's a misnomer but that's like a smaller subset but like i was like this doesn't make sense so i started doing tiktok shop and i was a little i was like oh this this feels so cringe
Starting point is 00:21:31 and i remember this one guy was like i was at bitcon i don't know if you know yeah i know what that is i was at bitcon and this guy was like tiktok shop is the way to go and i remember i through one or not the other because i was like it's already it's already going it's already but i didn't know it was only seven months eight months old at that time i thought it had been going on for a couple years because i didn't know right it just popped up out of nowhere it was only six seven months old by the time this guy vidcon was telling me this so then i started discovering and i was like this thing isn't even a year old so i dove right in and i lost not a bunch of followers but maybe like close to a 1k maybe less but it didn't matter it didn't matter because now
Starting point is 00:22:16 i've gained like 4k from new people who do want to see this new garen and they want to buy from you right right so it's been great i love it and i stopped doing ugc and now i just do tiktok shop full-time yeah that makes zero sense with the amount of money and the amount of time and you probably spent as much time doing tiktok shop and getting paid yes quadruple or whatever so much more yeah and there's people who like doing ugc and that's completely fine i just think it's a waste of time i think it's a waste of time yeah but um but tiktok shop there's two formats you can make videos or you can live stream okay and what do you prefer oh live streaming yeah and And I, well, I take that back.
Starting point is 00:23:01 I would prefer videos because you make one video and you can make, if I could make $500, $1,000, $20,000, $30,000, there's people who are making anywhere from 10 bucks to $60,000 for one video. Damn. If I could make 10K for one video, I would prefer that. So I take that back. I would prefer videos, but my videos don't perform that well yet. my live streaming has and there's a lot of people like me there's a lot of people who perform well
Starting point is 00:23:32 with videos and they can't they can't live stream yes yeah and there's a lot of live streamers who can't perform on the video and so i'm the person who figured and there's some people that can't do both well so you shouldn't be on tiktok i mean i don't know i mean you just you just got to keep going till one one manifests itself so you pop off yeah yeah and i kept going till live streams popped off and it happened one time and once i popped off one time i've just been popping off ever since all right tell me about that pop off uh so i was i was i was live streaming one day and i expected to go on for an hour and because i had a date so i'm gonna go on for an hour maybe two yeah and it was just like the sales were going and people were hyping me up and i was about to
Starting point is 00:24:20 make a thousand dollars on this live stream and when i mean a thousand dollars a thousand dollars for the brand got and then i would have gotten a commission okay got it and i was like oh my god i'm about to pop a thousand dollars but i'm like about to be late for this date so now i've been on for like two and a half hours i was supposed to be on for an hour and everyone's like you can't get off you're about to hit a thousand dollars yeah you know and uh i just texted her on my computer i was like hey i'm running late i'm so sorry and i stayed on and i and i breached a thousand dollars and now breaching a thousand dollars is like like nothing yeah like nothing and this was in december this was congratulations yeah thank you three four months ago so now since
Starting point is 00:25:00 then i've gotten four thousand dollars in a live stream yeah multiple times i've done that i hear the longer you're on the more like it's better like people find you i don't know how to how do i say this because i've just learned about it team checked was one of the um people that came to South by Southwest to really talk about it me I was like like over my head completely not understanding anything but I did understand that the longer you stay on like it's good like a six-hour segment is way better than getting on for an hour yeah yeah I think um I think some people waste their time because some products are never going to take off for someone okay like it's just it's just that product is either never going to take
Starting point is 00:25:43 out for you or you're going to spend so much time trying to get it to take off is it worth the time got it you know uh and so my thing is like don't stay on on stream for six hours if you haven't made a sale oh yeah yeah there's so many people who are like oh i stayed online i stayed on live stream for two hours and didn't make a sale i'm like no if you don't make a sale by 30 minutes get off that's a good yeah yeah 30 minutes tiktok would be like okay this person put in 30 minutes okay cool or an hour no more than an hour if you're not making any sales yeah you know i would go on for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour and if i didn't make a sale i'm getting off and then one day i noticed that i was making sales so then i stayed on now if you've been on for four
Starting point is 00:26:24 hours and there was an hour where you didn't make any sales that makes sense though the first hour you were okay the second hour you weren't so then maybe the third hour you will okay but it's like you should be seeing sales early okay then you should stay on if you're not seeing sales at all don't stay on for two hours three hours four hours you know yeah yeah because that's being on for six hours is not going to help you people are interested right you know it's just like a brick and mortar store right because you stayed open for 24 hours is that many people are going to come in and shop because you stayed open for 24 hours yeah yeah it is the product too but you get to like really put your personality into selling these products and how do you choose
Starting point is 00:27:01 products that's a great question so i choose things that i like okay i choose things that i think will perform well and i choose things that are fun like i can't sell supplements supplements just are boring it's just a capsule but some people don't mind it some people don't mind it some people supplements is one of the biggest ways to make money on tick-tock shop oh interesting that's one of the most lucrative things but for me it's just not fun so i i choose things that i like i choose things that are fun and i choose things that i think will do well so like i promote men's hair clippers those are fun i'm promoting like a portable tv tablet i love that you know i'm promoting like this like eye smoother thing okay so yeah so do you just get
Starting point is 00:27:47 like a list of products that you want to sell for other companies brands will pitch you brands will will pitch you brands will pitch you you'll see other creators making videos you're like oh that's a cool product yeah and just things that pop in your head as well like oh i need some new pants i mean like a pants and you're like oh let me sell those ah i like that yeah that's kind of like really cool you can you can find anything and and like there's so many creators like myself who like get free stuff because you're like i'm gonna get this free stuff i'm gonna promote it and it's like win-win yeah so do you think it's too late for someone to jump into TikTok and make a lot of money because how long has it been around now like a year and a half it's been around like a year and
Starting point is 00:28:33 a half okay yeah and what are your thoughts on that it's not too late at all not too late at all a year and a half is very new yeah a year and a half is very new you know when when TikTok was a year and a half old if everybody thought oh it's too late to grow on that platform nobody'd be on tiktok you know um yeah a year and a half is super young i literally thought when when i discovered tiktok shop that it was like a year old or whatever it was probably a month or two old at that point now there was like a beta versions of tiktok shop that i've heard have been around for like a couple years and like a few creators getting able to use it but like mass tiktok shop being opened up to the masses it it was what august or september of 2023 so it's it's not yeah
Starting point is 00:29:21 it's it's barely a year and a half and so anyone can get on and make money from it and make a living from it and and and fairly quickly too okay and i have a little like i'm going to talk to you guys the audience here i've heard that i think that if you're a really big name that people want to buy from you right just because you have a reputation but actually what they're finding out is that the audience wants people that don't have a name necessarily that they build they actually build trust more with you and so they purchase from let's say you have you have somewhat of a name but like versus like jlo right well i just randomly picked uh her name guys like it has nothing to do with anybody but as a top name they'd rather purchase from you because they trust
Starting point is 00:30:10 you versus a big name yeah i mean when when you think about it most of the people we buy from are no-name people no-name people when you go into a store do you go in the stores of people you know that own the store yeah when you go to amazon do you know the the the seller you just want to see the ratings you want to see the ratings of the product what's the quality of the product and so it doesn't matter if you have a million followers or 5,000 followers yeah and honestly the person with a million followers is it because you were paid to do this you know were you sponsored to do this right whereas the smaller person we know you weren't paid or sponsored most likely because you know you don't have the numbers yeah yeah and so tiktok shop is the great equalizer
Starting point is 00:30:54 there are people with 5,000 followers like the the the bare minimum you need to have to like be a full-time tiktok shopper okay that make just as much money as someone that has a million followers at those interesting yeah it's tiktok shop is the great equalizer okay you can have 5 000 followers and make hundreds of thousands of dollars it's insane tiktok shop is insane well i keep getting asked to do this and so it's like very interesting to me okay so if someone is new to tiktok shop right and they really want to develop this and do this as a business can you give them five tips to starting tiktok shop absolutely so the first thing is knowing the rules okay so it the rules change all the time but as of right now as it stands i believe you
Starting point is 00:31:41 need a thousand followers to become like a entry-level tiktok shop okay creator what's the word they use they use like a uh you're you're like a you're like a trial tiktok shopper they let you do like three or five videos a week or something like that okay they limit you Yeah. If you have a thousand followers, you'll get an invite, but they limit to how many videos you can make a week. Okay. If you have a thousand followers, if you have, it's like the trial TikTok shop, something like that. If you have 5,000 followers, then you can get an invitation to be a full-time TikTok shop affiliate. Okay. So that's the first thing is you need to know, learn the rules of what you need to do. The second thing is, is finding what will help you get those
Starting point is 00:32:25 followers. You know, what is your niche? What is your thing that will help you get those followers? And there are ways to build followers pretty quickly on TikTok, you know, building a following on TikTok is a lot faster than building followers on Instagram or subscribers on YouTube. Okay. And now on those platforms, you can get followers quickly too, but it's not as likely, as easy as TikTok. That's number two, is finding your niche, whatever is going to help you get those followers fairly quickly.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Because you don't want to go six months a year trying to get in a TikTok shop, you know, something you could get into fairly quickly. number three i would say is studying what works studying other creators studying products studying kind of the culture yeah that's with any platform pinterest tiktok youtube lemonade whatever it is you got to study the culture and understand what does well what performs well so i would study other creators study study other products all those good things that's number three number four i would say join a community a community is basically a um a platform that allows you to learn tiktok shop tips okay so like i'm in one called brands meet creators okay and it's a
Starting point is 00:33:34 community of other people who are beginners intermediate very successful yeah there's people in brands meet creators who make tens of thousands of dollars per video with videos and there's people who haven't made a dime you know so it's like everywhere in between okay and you have coaches that that have meetings i had two meetings yesterday and i have one today um that teach you and help you and then you have a community of people that will respond to your videos will come into your live streams nice yeah exactly it's like having co-workers yeah almost yeah so join a community that's number four and you don't have to wait until you're in tiktok shop joining that community can help you get into tiktok shop it's a good one yeah and they're all pretty fairly
Starting point is 00:34:14 reasonable like there's one called social army that's fairly reasonable bears me creators is fairly reasonable in price okay fifth i would say find products around your house that are already on tiktok shop oh so you don't have to like spend money to get products or whatever whatever because you should buy product like i buy products sometimes like i bought that tv i told you that i promote yeah that was like six like 700 bucks okay and now i'm promoting it so see what art what already is around your house so you don't have to like go out and get all these samples or or other products that's a great that's a great tips yeah well thank you absolutely absolutely and where can people follow you if they want to purchase things from you or just like
Starting point is 00:34:56 see what's going on garen yeah pretty much all my handles for the most part are at garen flowers g-a-r-i-n flowers um and then also i just recently started a new youtube channel called the frugal flirt so yeah just the frugal flirt type that in and it should pop up okay i basically teach people how to date on a budget yes okay i want to check that out yeah it's awesome i love it i love your dating tips too so you know you've got a lot of really cool information to share so yeah go check them out guys but thanks again for coming on the show today this was super fun
