Starting point is 00:00:42 President Biden addressed world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, discussing a number of issues, including climate change, Ukraine, and China. Record-breaking heat waves in the United States and China. Wildfires ravaging North America and Southern Europe. A fifth year of drought in the Horn of Africa. Africa. This oversight committee has picked a date to hold its first hearing in the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden. A panel spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Wire that it will be held on
Starting point is 00:02:16 Thursday, September 28th, saying, quote, the hearing will focus on constitutional and legal questions surrounding the president's involvement in corruption and abuse of public office. Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the formal impeachment inquiry last week after the House return from a summer recess. The former Marine, who was accused of being a. being a Fed has been charged with a misdemeanor offense in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot. According to court papers filed today, Ray Epps has been charged with disorderly and disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. Epps has said in previous interviews that he went to
Starting point is 00:02:51 Washington to protest the 2020 election. He was painted by some media outlets as being a government agent who is whipping up trouble that would be blamed on Trump supporters, which led to him taking legal action. The judge has scheduled a plea agreement hearing for Wednesday. On Monday, Michigan State University officials delivered a notice of termination to the school's head football coach Mel Tucker after a prominent rape survivor and activist recently accused him of sexual harassment during a phone call. Daily Wire reporter Zach Jule has the latest. 51-year-old Tucker, who less than two years ago signed a $95 million decade-long contract extension, made headlines last week after allegations against him became public. After the report was published, Michigan State officials suspended Tucker without pay on September 10th, pending the results of a Title IX investigation over allegations of sexual misconduct. Tucker has denied any wrongdoing. The U.S. Marine Corps has found debris at a crash site in South Carolina that is believed to be the missing F-35 Lightning 2 stealth fighter jet that disappeared due to a mishap on Sunday, but questions still remain as to what exactly happened. On Monday, the Marines ordered a two-day stand-down of aviation units in and outside the U.S. in order to give officials time to discuss safety measures and procedures. YouTube blocked actor and comedian Russell Brand from making money on the platform on Tuesday,
Starting point is 00:04:27 just days after several women accused him of sexual assault over a decade ago and what Brand has called a coordinated media attack on him. Here with Moore's Daily Wire reporter Amanda Press is Giacomo. Brand's channel with 6.6 million subscribers has been suspended for monetization following what YouTube called serious allegations against the creator. The Google-owned social media platform's decision means brand can no longer make money from YouTube ads on his videos. Brand's other smaller channels with several 100,000 subscribers were also suspended for monetization.
Starting point is 00:04:59 It's unclear how long the suspensions will last. YouTube said brand was suspended for violating its creator responsibility policy. Brand has denied any wrongdoing. During that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent. And I'm being transparent about it now as well. And to see that transparency metastasized into something criminal that I absolutely deny makes me question, is there another agenda at play?
Starting point is 00:05:32 And former President Donald Trump will skip next week's 2024 GOP primary debate, instead choosing to meet with striking United Auto Workers and other blue-collar voters in Michigan. The GOP frontruder chose to not participate in the first primary debate and has since announced that he will not compete in any due to his lead in state and national polls. The second GOP debate will be on September 27th at 9 p.m. Eastern at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and be hosted by Fox Business and Univision.
