Two Virginia libraries are evacuated due to a bomb threat.
Trump announces a massive push against Iran and new details emerge about the Lebanese man who targeted the Temple Israel Synagogue in Michigan.
I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Executive Editor John Bickley.
It's Friday, March 13th, and this is Evening Wire.
Authorities told people to evacuate two libraries at the University of Virginia over a bomb threat this morning.
Just one day after an ISIS supporting terrorist shot three people.
people killing one across the state at Old Dominion University. University of Virginia police told
people to, quote, avoid the area at Shannon Library on the Charlottesville campus, and the
university's Department of Safety and Security later added that authorities were, quote,
investigating, evacuating both Clemens and Shannon libraries, which are across the street from
each other. Six U.S. service members are dead after a refueling aircraft crashed in Western Iraq.
The plane went down following a mid-air incident with another U.S. aircraft.
According to CENTCOM, all six crew members aboard the tanker were killed.
The second aircraft landed safely, and officials say there's no indication the crash was caused
by hostile or friendly fire.
The identities of the fallen are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin,
and an investigation into the incident is underway.
President Trump teased a massive attack targeting what he called the deranged scumbag,
in Iran today, as Pentagon officials promised the most intense day of strikes since the operation
began. In a truth social post, Trump said, quote, Iran's navy is gone. Their air force is no longer.
Missiles, drones, and everything else are being decimated and their leaders have been wiped out
from the face of the earth. Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth confirmed at a press briefing this morning
that the U.S. would carry out its most intense day of strikes so far. Today will be, yet again,
the highest volume of strikes that America has put over the skies of Iran and Tehran,
the number of soaredes and number of bomber pulses, the highest yet, ramping up and only up.
We've learned more details about the man who targeted Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan
yesterday, including that he was a Lebanese national who became naturalized in 2016 under Obama.
Daily Wire reporter's actual has the details.
The Department of Homeland Security says the suspect was born in Lebanon in 1985,
first entered the United States in 2011 on an immigrant visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen.
After he applied for naturalization in October 2015, he was granted citizenship in February
2016. On Thursday, he drove his car into Temple Israel, the largest reformed Judaism congregation
in the United States, and opened fire with a rifle. He was pronounced dead at the scene after
the synagogue's security engaged him with gunfire. One security guard was injured as a result of
being struck by the attacker's vehicle, but is in stable condition.
The instructor killed by the terrorist who opened fire at Old Dominion University in Virginia
on Thursday was a decorated war hero. Daily Wire senior editor, Joel Needler reports.
Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shaw has been identified as the instructor who was fatally shot by an
ISIS supporting terrorist at the university on Thursday. Shaw was a decorated military hero
who served the U.S. in major war zones, including Iraq and Afghanistan. He enlisted in the
Army in 2003 as an aviation operation specialist and later obtained the rank of sergeant. He served in
the active duty Army, Army Reserve, and Virginia Army National Guard. He also deployed in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and rotation to Atlantic Resolve. Since his old
Dominion commissioning, he earned his Army Aviation Senior Aviator wings after flying more than 1,200
hours in three different aircraft and completing over 600 combat flight hours, according to the school.
In an interview with local news, a friend of Shaw's described him as, quote, a charmer and an all-around stud.
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger also paid tribute calling Shaw a devoted ROTC instructor who, quote,
taught and led others about the importance of serving our country.
A surge in legal filings is making the Trump administration's deportation push a bit more complicated.
Daily Wire immigration reporter Jenny Tare has the original report.
Since President Trump returned to office, more than 18,000 habeas petitions have very much.
reportedly been filed by detainees challenging their ICE detention. That's more than the total
filed under the last three administrations combined. The petitions move cases from immigration courts
into federal district courts where judges are largely ordering illegal immigrants to be released on bond.
Federal prosecutors in border states say the spike has strained resources forcing criminal
attorneys to shift civil immigration cases. Immigration attorneys say the strategy has been effective
and securing releases buying clients more time in the United States as the underlying deportation
cases move forward. This new strategy could put these types of cases on a trajectory that could
potentially land before the Supreme Court. Secretary of War, Pete Hegeseth is slamming what he calls
the legacy media's fake news narratives that have been shielding a crumbling Iranian regime.
Speaking from the Department of War, Hegzeth, a veteran of the media world himself, didn't hold back
on the press's misleading coverage.
Some in this crew in the press
just can't stop.
Allow me to make a few suggestions.
People look up at the TV and they see banners,
they see headlines.
I used to be in that business.
And I know that everything is written intentionally.
For example, a banner or a headline,
Mid-East War intensifies,
splashing on the screen the last couple of days,
alongside visuals of civilian or energy targets
that Iran has hit because that's what they do.
What should the banner read instead? How about Iran increasingly desperate? Because they are. They know it,
and so do you. The man who shoved two men, including an 84-year-old veteran onto subway tracks in New York,
turned out to be a four-time deported illegal immigrant. Authorities say 34-year-old Baron Posada Hernandez
of Honduras allegedly pushed the victims in an unprovoked attack inside a Manhattan station.
One victim suffered minor injuries while the elderly veteran remains in critical condition.
Homeland Security says ICE has lodged a detainer against the suspect.
He's currently being held on felony charges as the case is under investigation.

behind a new Republican contender in Texas. Daily Wire political reporter Cameron Arcan has the details.
In a true social post earlier this week, Trump endorsed Brandon Herrera in the race for Texas's
23rd Congressional District, calling him a strong MAGA ally who will fight to secure the border,
protect the Second Amendment, cut taxes, and unleash American energy. The endorsement comes after
incoming Congressman Tony Gonzalez exited the race amid a House ethics investigation tied to an
admitted affair with a former staffer. Gonzalez had initially advanced to a runoff but withdrew it
before it could take place. Herrera, a self-described Second Amendment activists in social media
personality, narrowly edged Gonzalez in the primary, and now appears poised to carry the Republican
banner into November. He will face Democratic nominee Katie Padilly Stout and what is expected to be
a closely watched general election showdown. Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell is facing
fresh scrutiny over where he actually lives as he runs for governor of California. Swalwell has
filed sworn statements saying he's maintained a home in Livermore since 2017, but several
neighbors on the quiet cul-de-sac where he claims residency told reporters they've never seen him.
The controversy intensified after a lawsuit questioned whether Swalwell meets California residency
requirements for statewide office. Critics argue he has primarily lived in Washington, D.C.,
while campaign records show frequent hotel stays in and around his district. Swalwell says
security concerns, keep his address private, and maintains he meets all legal requirements.
Does Starbucks taste better on the beach that companies founder Howard Schultz
appears to think so. Daily Wire Lifestyle reporter Lauren Bear has the details.
Schultz is the latest billionaire to move from the West Coast to Florida, joining a growing wave
of high-profile executives relocating. In just the past two months, meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg,
Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, and now Schultz, have all announced moves to
the Sunshine State. Schultz, who built Starbucks in Seattle over four decades, says the decision
is personal, citing family and a, quote, next adventure. But the timing suggests otherwise,
as the move comes as Washington state lawmakers advance a new 9.9% tax on million-dollar incomes.
Schultz is purchasing a reported $44 million penthouse in Surfside.
And Dr. Ross to the rescue. During a President Trump speech in Kentucky this week,
a woman collapsed in the stands right behind the president. People surrounding the woman
immediately got Trump's attention after which he paused his speech.
speech. But Gavin Newsom, in an interview, you have a doctor in the house, please, doctor?
Yeah, can I am, doctor. Within moments, first responders, including the head of the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid services, were at the woman's side. Trump later spotted Oz in the crowd and
thank them from the stage. She looks great. It's Dr. Oz. Can you believe it? Dr. Oz. The woman was
escorted out with medical personnel and the president resumed his remark shortly after.
