My name is Peter Parker, but I'm also Spider-Man.
This July, we're faced with a threat.
That can be anyone.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker.
I'm just a neighbor, friendly neighbor.
But he hasn't forgotten them.
Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing.
That's my responsibility.
Talk to Banner?
I didn't know you could get that big.

The U.S. learns of a new Iranian assassination plot against Trump, Tyler Robinson's alleged confession note was accidentally broadcast live in court, and dozens of poisonous snakes were released into an already devastating flood in China. I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Executive Editor John Bickley. It's Friday, July 10th, and this is Evening Wire.
The U.S. has been given specific intelligence that Iran has developed a new plot to assassinate President Trump.
Foreign Affairs reporter Cassia Akiva has more on that and the Iran conflict.
President Trump says he has left instructions for a massive military response if Iran succeeds in assassinating him.
Trump told the New York Post that he's been on Iran's target list, quote, for a long time and said that he's ordered the U.S. to, quote, literally bomb them at levels that they've never seen before, if anything happens to him.
The comments come after threats against Trump are prominently displayed during the funeral ceremonies of former Iranian Supreme
leader Ayotol Ali Kameini, including banners reading, quote, We Will Kill Trump. The president said today
that Iran has asked to continue negotiations with the United States, though he added that he considers
a ceasefire over. The note investigators say reveals that Tyler Robinson confessed to the assassination
of Charlie Kirk was inadvertently broadcast live in court Thursday. Culture reporter Megan Basham
has the latest. Lance Twiggs, the trans-identifying former boyfriend of Robinson,
told investigators that he received a text after Kirk was shot,
telling him to look under his keyboard where he found a confession note.
It read in part, quote,
If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry.
I left the house this morning on a mission and sent an auto text.
I am likely dead or facing a lengthy prison sentence.
I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I took it.
Images of the note have been barred from being broadcast by Judge Graf,
but accidentally aired Thursday before he intervened.
Meanwhile, Graf has sparked some controversy by delaying his decision on whether Robinson
will go to trial until September.
Kirk's close friend and business partner Andrew Colvitt slammed the decision, saying that
Kirk's family and friends have, quote, a right to a speedy disposition of the charges
free from unwarranted delay caused by or at the behest of the defendant.
The state of Texas's new anti-DEI college crackdown may have its first target.
Reporter Jenny Tear has the Daily Wire exclusive.
An office launched by the state of Texas to investigate ban diversity, equity and inclusion practices at universities,
has launched its first investigation, according to a complaint obtained by the Daily Wire.
The probe centers on a complaint filed by a former student at Stephen F. Austin State University,
who alleges that the school is operating a quote, shadow DEI program,
violation of state law. The complaint also alleges that university employees, quote,
discriminate against conservatives and those that they perceive do not support DEI or leftist political
beliefs. The state launched the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Office of the Ombudsman
last year to serve as a watchdog for universities to ensure they're not violating anti-DEI laws.
The office can push to withhold state funding from schools found to have violated state law that
have failed to address the issues. It seems the UK is also struggling lately with suitable candidates
in their elections as Nigel Farage seeks a new parliamentary seat. His sole opponent, Count
Binface. Reporter Drew Berkmeyer has the details. Farage, leader of the surging reformed UK party,
stepped down Tuesday from his parliamentary seat after an investigation was open into whether
he improperly disclosed financial gifts from wealthy donors. Farage is rerunning for his seat to represent
Clacton-on-Cee in Parliament, telling the press that,
that winning again would be a mandate from his voters.
That decision, however, has left Farage
facing perhaps the most unconventional opponent imaginable,
Count Binface.
The Count is a, quote, intergalactic space warrior
and leader of the Recyclons,
an alien species hailing from the planet Sigma 9.
The satirical candidate is portrayed by comedian John Harvey
and has become something of a fixture in British politics,
after repeatedly running against prime ministers
and other high-profile politicians,
all while wearing a silver cape and an oversized trash can helmet.
His opening words to the Reform U.K. leader were, quote, game on, nige.
Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum has promised to pursue legal measures against the U.S.
following the fatal shooting of a Mexican national by an ICE agent in Houston.
She said Mexico's response would go beyond a diplomatic protest,
saying officials are preparing measures over the shooting and the deaths of other Mexican nationals while in ICE custody.
Contributor Tim Pierce has more.
Mexican foreign minister Roberto Velasco said the Mexican government will be requesting that the
incidents be investigated as criminal matters. He said the government will also file civil lawsuits
against private companies operating in immigration detention centers. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo,
a 52-year-old construction worker and father of three, was shot and killed Tuesday during an encounter
with ICE agents in Houston after picking up members of his work crew. His family claims he would
have complied if the agents had been clearly identified. But DHS disputes that, saying he,
attempted to evade arrest and weaponized his vehicle by attempting to run over an ice agent who
fired in self-defense. Female athletes are being forced to compete against biological males,
sometimes without their consent or even their knowledge. In Washington, high school sophomore
Callie Keeler was sexually assaulted on the wrestling mat during a tournament. Only afterward did she
learn her opponent was a boy who identifies as a girl. With the help of Alliance defending freedom,
Callie is bravely suing the state over a policy that not only allows males to compete in girls' high school sports,
but doesn't require schools to disclose that information to female athletes or their parents.
Don't let schools put gender ideology over the safety of girls in sports.
Your support today can help fight for Callie and other athletes like her.

When was the last time you replaced your bedding? Not your mattress, your actual bedding. The sheets start
slipping off the corners, the comforter doesn't feel quite as comfortable anymore. It happens
gradually enough that you adapt to it until one day you replace it and you realize what you've been
missing. And that's why so many people end up loving Bowlin Branch. Bowlin Branch makes everything
your bed needs. I recently got a queen set of Bowlin Branch sheets in a beautiful rose color. It
looks so luxurious, so pretty on my bed. But the better thing is, I sleep a straight eight hours a
night. It just gives you a dream night's sleep. Bowlin Branch is widely loved here at Daily Wire.
One thing people consistently mention is how their bedding gets softer over time. And once you upgrade
more than one piece, the entire bed just feels complete. Sleep cooler this summer with Bolin Branch

Irish police found the body of an American mother dead in an Irish tourist town on Tuesday.
The postmortem found that 43-year-old Jamie Carney was assaulted and suffered head injuries before
she died by suffocation. Irish police say she was murdered and that the lead-sufficiency. And that the lead
suspect is her boyfriend, an asylum seeker from Jordan, who is believed to have already fled the
country for Turkey. Irish authorities have requested help from both Europol and Interpol to determine
whether he stayed in Turkey or has already fled to another country. Karni, who was Irish
American, moved to Ireland in 2021 with her young daughter. She was outspoken against the war in Gaza
and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement
and reportedly met her migrant boyfriend
at a pro-Palestinian march.
A 61-year-old man survived
being partially sucked out of an airplane window on Friday.
Shortly after a Malta air flight took off from Greece,
one of the passenger windows shattered.
The man in the seat next to it was sucked out up to his shoulders.
His wife managed to hold onto his legs for as long as five minutes
before other passengers were able to help pull him back in.
The pilot immediately turned the flight back.
After it landed, the Greek health ministry said the man had been hospitalized with friction burns
and is conscious, though he's still in a state of shock.
Flooding and a partial dam collapse has claimed dozens of lives and unleashed a snake-filled
horror on the residents of Hungzhou, China.
Days of heavy rain have caused severe flooding in the region.
One of the many buildings affected was a breeding farm that housed hundreds of reptiles,
including venomous cobras.
videos have appeared on social media showing dozens of snakes bobbing and swimming in the floodwaters.
The reptilian escape has terrified local residents and officials have begun to stock up on anti-venom.
Reports say that one person has been bitten so far.
New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani is getting big blowback after he posted a map that highlighted 30 immigrant neighborhoods in the city
that failed to include Little Italy or Little Ireland.
But he did include Little Yemen, Little Palestine, and Little Benghle.
Little Italy has been a cultural landmark since the 1880s, established long before many of the other neighborhoods Mondani honored.
In addition to being around for much longer, the famous Italian neighborhood in Lower Manhattan is also one of the most visited,
consistently included in top things to see in New York.
Mamdani's Office of Immigrant Affairs has since removed the map, but a series of illustrations of immigrant enclaves remain, and Little Italy and Little Ireland are still conspicuously missing.
And the 26 Emmy nominations were released on Wednesday.

including a best actress and drama nomination for Better Call Saul, actress Rea Seahorn.
And the overall nomination winner was HBO with a staggering 122 nominations across their shows this year.
