President Trump gives Russia an ultimatum.
The DOJ dismisses the charges against a doctor who faked COVID shots.
And Bitcoin continues its record-breaking climb.
I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire, Executive Editor, John Bickley.
It's Monday, July 14th, and this is Evening Wire.
President Trump says the U.S. will send billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine
while threatening Russia with tariffs if they don't make peace.
Daily Wire's senior editor, Cabot Phillips, says the latest.
Speaking alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Ruta at the White House,
President Trump expressed disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin,
saying a peace deal should have been reached months ago.
Trump says the U.S. will provide arms, but that European nations will foot the bill.
Here's the NATO Secretary General.
So it's not that you can have a shopping list and you can order whatever you want,
because the U.S. has to make sure that the U.S. keeps his hand on what the U.S. needs,
also to keep the whole world, say,
because in the end, you are the police agent of the whole world.
Trump also said he's giving Moscow 50 days to make peace or else face new sanctions.
He even hinted at secondary sanctions targeting any country doing business with Russia.
The war in Ukraine has now entered its 40th month with Russian strikes continuing across cities like Leviv and Odessa.
A former Israeli official is blasting rumors that Jeffrey Epstein somehow worked for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency.
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett took to X to say, quote,
Epstein never worked for the Mossad while calling the accusation categorically and totally false.
He criticized public figures like Tucker Carlson for spreading information that he labeled
vicious lies against Israel.
Bennett, who once oversaw Mossad operations as prime minister, says the conspiracy theories are
part of a broader slander campaign against the Jewish state.
An immigration expert is sounding the alarm about increased illegal crossings by Chinese
nationals calling it a national security concern.
Daily Wire reporter Spencer Linkwis has more.
Former Department of Homeland Security acting deputy chief of staff, Laura Rise, told Fox News
Digital that under Biden, monthly CBP encounters with Chinese nationals more than doubled,
rising from 1,000 to 2,000 and then even the 7,000 and 8,000 illegal migrants from China.
Last month, I supported 122 illegal immigrants to China, many of whom were convicted of violent crimes and trafficking.
Seven Chinese nationals were charged last week with operating a marijuana and human
trafficking ring in the Northeast. Speaking of those pot farm raids, so far federal immigration
agents have arrested at least 361 suspected illegal immigrants and rescued 14 migrant children,
mostly unaccompanied. Homeland security officials say many detainees caught in California had
violent crime records, including rape and child molestation. Agents who fielded various violent
attacks from brick throwing to gunfire faced accusations from California Democrats of using
force. Homeland Security Secretary Christine Noem is fending off criticism of alligator Alcatraz. During a meet the press
appearance host Kristen Welker press Noem about rumors of immigrants being packed into tight spaces. Here's Nob's response.
I would call them a facility where they are held and that are secure facilities, but are held to the
highest levels of what the federal government requires for detention facilities. Democrats have called them
cages though. I wish they would have set that back during the Biden administration and back when Democrats
were in the White House, and they were piling people on top of each other on cement floors and literally
didn't have two feet to move. They never did that, and that's why this politics has to end.
Nine people died in a fire at an assisted living home in Massachusetts last night, with dozens
more injured, including five firefighters. Roughly 50 firefighters responded to the call in the town of
Fall River, which had grown to a five alarm level by the morning. The cause of the fire is currently
under investigation. First cruise on scene reported fully involved structure. There were multiple
victims hanging out the windows, screaming and begging for help and to be rescued. So it quickly,
we knocked down the fire quickly, then all available assets were moved towards rescuing the individuals
that needed help. And that's not just fire. It was police. And they saved countless lives
in assisting the people that they could out of the building. A trough of low pressure is threatening
Florida's Atlantic Coast bringing a potential for heavy rain and flash flooding this week. Forecasters
say the system is producing disorganized thunderstorms across Florida and the Northwest Bahamas. It's
expected to move into the northeastern Gulf of America tomorrow where conditions could support
gradual development. Regardless of formation, heavy rain could impact Florida and the Gulf Coast
states throughout the week. The federal government has dropped charges against a doctor
accused of throwing away COVID vaccine doses. Utah plastic surgeon Michael Kirk Moore was also accused
of giving children saline shots instead of the vaccine and for selling fake vaccination cards.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the charges were dropped at her request. Moore said a conviction
would have made people afraid to criticize the government. If they are able to convict me,
then that's just going to put the fear of God into everybody out there that is even thinking about
pushing against the government and actually taking a stand.
The Federal Reserve is defending its big building renovation project.
The Central Bank launched a new frequently asked questions page that says the project will update
buildings that have not been renovated since the 1930s.
The page also claims the renovations do not include VIP dining rooms.
The Fed had faced criticism for the renovations, which will cost $2.5 billion.
President Trump has repeatedly called for Fed Chair Jerome Powell to resign as the director
has refused to lower interest rates.
Stocks ticked up today despite more trade talk from the president.
The Dow rose more than 60 points and the S&P 500 and NASDAQ both posted modest gains.
Investors shrugged off the news that 30% U.S. tariffs on the EU and Mexico will begin on August 1st.
Betting negotiations could ease the blow.
Instead, focus shifted to upcoming inflation data and the start of second quarter earnings,
with major banks like J.P. Morgan set to report Tuesday.
Bitcoin hit a record high ahead of U.S. lawmakers' crypto week.
The cryptocurrency traded above $120,000 on Monday.
Bitcoin EFTs had their biggest day of inflows on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Congress will deliberate on a series of crypto bills this week
designed to set a clear regulatory framework for the industry.
The CEO of a cryptocurrency research firm told CNBC,
recent legislation helped Bitcoin's latest rally.
The interesting aspect is really over the last six weeks when Bitcoin sort of like consolidated up until, of course, we had the debt ceiling increase and another, you know, stimulus package, basically, from the US, the tax package, the beautiful bill.
Only then really Bitcoin started to ramp up again.
But what we have seen, of course, these ETFs have been buying relentlessly, even when Bitcoin consolidated.
So there's a huge money shift going, you know, out of the US dollars, out of other assets and into Bitcoin.
And I think that's really driving the Bitcoin price higher.
The high-speed railway connecting New York City to Los Angeles was just proposed, hoping to link the two cities before the FIFA World Cup.
The train would be able to shoot passengers from one coast to the other in 72 hours and would be funded by private investors instead of taxpayers.
Ameristar Rail hopes to have it up and running by May 26.
The FIFA finals are set to take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Their proposal has been titled the Transcontinental Chief and was pitched to both Amtrak and President Trump.
In a now viral video, two Arizona police officers are shown delivering a pizza to a woman after the Grubhub driver was arrested on charges of racing and reckless driving.
The officers reassured the woman her food should still be warm and that a five-star rating goes a long way.
And this past weekend, the White House took a moment to honor fallen firefighter Cory Comparatore.
He was tragically killed in Butler, Pennsylvania during last year's assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
In a post on X, the White House called Comparatore a hero and said that his courage, love, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Comparatore was hit as he moved to shield his family from the gunfire.
A few days later, Trump observed a moment of silence for Comparatore during the Republican National Convention.
