Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief John Bickley. It's Wednesday, September 4th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update. At least four people are dead and many more injured in a shooting on a high school campus in Winder, Georgia. Some critically injured individuals were airlifted to nearby hospitals. Police sources say a suspect believed to be of student age is in custody, although it's unclear if the suspect attended Appalachie High School. Meanwhile, all schools in the district are on lockdown as a precaution with no reports of additional incidents. A bombshell congressional report reveals that Thomas Crooks, the would-be Trump assassin, was initially incapacitated by a local SWAT officer before being fatally shot by a Secret Service sniper.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the latest. The report, led by Congressman Clay Higgins, claims a SWAT officer shot disabled Crooks' rifle, preventing further gunfire at the July 13th rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This challenges the FBI's initial claim that a Secret Service sniper shot Crooks in the head within seconds. The report also raises concerns about the FBI's handling of the investigation, including the cremation of Kripps's body, which happened just 10 days after the incident. More details from the same report were presented by Senator Josh Hawley on Jesse Waters' prime time. Holly revealed that the Homeland Security agents reassigned to Trump's security detail at the time of the attempted assassination, received just two hours of online training. Holly claims these agents were egregiously underprepared for their mission. I'm told that actually agents, Homeland Security agents, were pulled off of child exploitation cases, child endangerment cases, the stuff they normally do.
Starting point is 00:01:43 They don't normally do protective detail work at all. They were pulled off those cases that said, here, you're going to go guard the former president of the United States. Watch this webinar. The Justice Department has charged six senior Hamas leaders for their role in the October 7th attack, three of whom have already been killed. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the charges are part of ongoing efforts to hold Hamas accountable. The AG also highlighted Iran's support of Hamas and its use of cryptocurrency to fund terrorism. Here's Garland. The charges unsealed today are just one part of our effort to target every aspect of Hamas's operations.
Starting point is 00:02:20 These actions will not be our last. The Justice Department has a long memory. We will pursue the terrorists responsible for murdering a member. and those who illegally provide them with material support for the rest of their lives. A San Francisco 17-year-old has been charged for the shooting of NFL player Ricky Pearsall. The teen faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and attempted robbery. San Francisco DA Brooke Jenkins emphasized the need for accountability but has not yet decided if the team will be tried as an adult.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Pearsall, who was shot in Union Square, is recovering and was recovering and was released from the hospital just 24 hours after the incident. His team and family have rallied around him celebrating his miraculous recovery. Here's the team's general manager, John Lynch, giving an update. Ricky's going to be great. The 25-year-old daughter of Fulton County DA Fawney Willis was arrested last month in Georgia
Starting point is 00:03:27 for allegedly driving with a suspended license. The incident occurred after Kenaya Willis was pulled over for using a cell phone while driving. Kenaya claims she was unaware her license had been revoked. Her mother, who is prosecuting the Trump-2020 election interference case, later arrived to secure her daughter's vehicle. Kenaya faces an October 24th arraignment and potential jail time. And Amazon is facing some scrutiny over Alexa's drastically different responses when asked why to vote for Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Videos over the last couple of days have quickly gone to. viral, showing Alexa declining to answer when asked for reasons to vote for Trump. I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate. But when asked about Kamala Harris, Alexa says the following. While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a strong candidate with a proven track record of accomplishment. Starting point is 00:04:29 to progressive ideals and a focus on helping disenfranchised communities. Amazon admitted to Fox News that the discrepancy was an error and quickly corrected it.
