I'm Daily Wire, editor-in-chief John Bickley with Georgia Hal.
It's Thursday, October 17th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.
Fox News anchor Brett Bear says during last night's interview with Kamala Harris,
he was abruptly wrapped by several members of Harris' staff,
despite her being nearly 20 minutes late.
Here's that moment.
Madam Vice President, they're wrapping me very hard here.
I hope you got to say what you wanted to say about Donald Trump.
There are a lot of things that...
There's more to say.
I have much more to say, actually.
There are a lot of things that people want to learn about you and your policies,
and that's why we invited you here.
I invite everyone to go to Kamala Harris.com,
and you will see that I have 80 pages of policies that are quite comprehensive
and should be accessible to anyone.
who would like to read them.
Madam Vice President, they're giving me a hard rap.
Well, I thank you for the time.
I thank you for the time.
It's good to meet you.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
The interview was cut short, running just over 20 minutes,
despite Fox News being promised 30 minutes.
Bear later told his panel that at least four Harris aides
were signaling him to end the questioning.
Florida is suing the Biden administration
accusing them of failing to provide the information needed
to ensure non-citizens cannot vote in the Sunshine State.
Daily Wire reported.
Tim Pierce has more.
Florida says the Department of Homeland Security has refused to verify immigration records
needed to ensure non-citizens are not on the state's voter rules.
According to officials in the state, the federal government is mandated to provide this information
through the systematic alien verification for entitlements program, but so far has not responded
to the state's requests.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody says that preserving election integrity is crucial and
that this suit is a necessary step in doing just that.
DHS has yet to comment on the lawsuit, which marks another legal clash between Republican-led states and the Biden administration over-election practices.
A panel put together to investigate the Secret Service has warned that without major agency rehaul, an incident like the Butler rally shooting will happen again.
Daily Wire Deputy Managing editor Tim Rice is here with the latest.
The panel, commissioned by President Biden, found the agency complacent and recommended hiring new leadership from outside of the organization to prevent future threats.
The panel report also found several cultural failures that put officials at risk,
including a lack of critical thinking skills.
The report comes as the man accused of having intent to assassinate former President Trump last
Saturday is suing the Riverside County Sheriff.
Vem Miller says he was wrongly portrayed as a threat despite being cleared by both the Secret
Service and FBI at a California rally.
He told Fox News that the sheriff fabricated the story in order to appear heroic.
The most basic thing as a officer of the law is you've got to prove if it's lawful or
unlawful and evidence is involved. And when somebody has zero evidence but seems to be doing
something for other reasons, I mean, those people do not belong in office. Also, they've essentially
dropped a nuclear bomb into my life where my life will never be the same regardless. You know,
there's a legal word called restitution, which is meaning to make you whole again after a calamity
like this. And there is no ultimate restitution in this. The sheriff's office has acknowledged
the lawsuit, but declined to comment further due to pending litigation. This episode is brought to

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the elimination of Hamas leader Yaya Sinwar in a targeted
strike in southern Gaza.
Sinwar, who was the mastermind behind the deadly October 7th attack on Israel, was killed
along with two other terrorists.
DNA testing verified his identity.
Ari A Lightstone, the former senior advisor to the U.S. Ambassador
to Israel, told Morning Wire that the killing of Sinwar is significant.
Sinwar was not only the mastermind, but considered one of the great operators of Hamas as the
glue that held them together, not just for the planning and the execution, but in guiding
the response of this war that's now been a little bit more than a year long.
President Biden responded to the killing of Sinwar, calling it, quote, a good day for Israel,
for the United States, and for the world.
He also compared it to the death of Al-Qaeda leader of Samma bin Laden.
Former One Direction singer Liam Liam Payne has tragically died at age 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
Payne, who had publicly struggled with addiction, was reportedly involved in a disturbance before the fall.
A 911 call reveals hotel staff frantically seeking help for the singer, claiming he was intoxicated and destroying his room before the fatal fall.
Payne leaves behind a seven-year-old son and a legacy of global musical success.
And donations are pouring in for an Arkansas father charged with shooting a man accused of raping his daughter.
Over $100,000 has been raised for the legal defense of Aaron Spencer.
Spencer allegedly shot Michael Fossler the suspected stalker of his 14-year-old daughter.
Fossler had been previously charged with stalking and raping the teen.
While Spencer faces a preliminary first-degree murder charge,
public support for his actions has been overwhelming,
with many calling him a hero for protecting his daughter.
