Israel's military has discovered a Hezbollah compound filled with weapons and motorcycles
Starting point is 00:00:28 beneath a home in a Lebanese border village. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce details the finding. IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Higari says the bunker, only a few miles from Israel's border, was used by Hezbollah's Rodwan forces to plan a large scale October 7-sized attack on Israel. Footage released by the IDF shows weapons and ammunition scattered across a facility,
Starting point is 00:00:51 which Higari says was recently occupied. He pointed out fresh food and coffee. He emphasized Israel's commitment to dismantling Hezbollah's infrastructure to protect its citizens and prevent future attacks. Kierzegari calling on the UN to enforce a 2006 resolution to create a buffer zone between Lebanon and Israel. This wasn't supposed to be here. 1701 should have prevented it. We need to impose a 1701 fully. So Chisbalah can never be next to our border with such infrastructures that can do a conquer Galilee plan like he planned. A welfare check in Virginia turned into a nightmare for one police officer after the woman he was checking on charged at him with a large knife.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Disturbing body cam footage shows the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Sidney Wilson by veteran Fairfax County Officer Peter Liu after she reportedly slashed him with a knife. Officer Liu demanded Wilson to stop multiple times as she pursued him. Back up. Please back up. Despite Lou's effort to de-escalate, Wilson continued her attack in a dead-end hallway, prompting Officer Liu to shoot. He's recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Starting point is 00:02:05 An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua has been linked to a spree of robberies in New York's Times Square and other city landmarks. NYPD officials report that juvenile gang members, some as young as 11, are exploiting lenient laws to avoid jail. Some of these young immigrants have committed over 50 crimes with some involving weapons. Despite efforts to crack down on the gang, authorities say the group's growing boldness and use of social media to flaunt their crimes, make it challenging to deter them. The Virginia governor's office is criticizing what it calls an unprecedented lawsuit by the Justice Department over Governor Glenn Yunkins' executive order to remove non-citizens from voter rolls. The DOJ claims this effort escalates the National Voter Registration Act's quiet period, which prohibits systemic voter role changes within 9. 90 days of an election. Virginia officials argue the removal process is individualized and follows state law. Here's Yonkin. To me, this is unprecedented. And I think it represents a

And I have to say, my job as governor is to make sure that the election in Virginia will be fair, will be accurate, and will be safe. And that's exactly what I am doing. And I will continue to do it because the Department of Justice is wrong here. Former President Donald Trump also called out the DOJ's lawsuit against Virginia during an appearance before the Economic Club of Chicago. I just haven't gotten over something the Justice Department did yesterday, where Virginia cleaned up its voter rolls and got rid of thousands and thousands of bad votes
Starting point is 00:04:01 and the Justice Department sued them that they should be allowed to put those bad votes and illegal votes back in. The lawsuit is part of the law. of ongoing national debates over voter integrity and non-citizen voting. An investigation and legal proceedings are expected to follow. The University of Nevada is distancing themselves from their women's volleyball team's decision to forfeit a game against a team with a trans-identifying male player. Daily Wire reporter Amanda Presta Giacomo has the latest.
Starting point is 00:04:31 The university said in a statement that the team's decision to forfeit against San Jose State was made independently and does not reflect the school's position, and also affirmed their commitment to inclusion under state and federal law. The statement comes as one of the trans players' teammates at SJSU, Brooke Slusser, publicly praised Nevada's decision to forfeit. Slusser took to social media and said that what Nevada players did took courage, adding that this is a, quote, great step in the right direction for women's sports.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And Walgreens announced plans to close 1,200 stores over the next three years. The company, which operates around 8,700 locations revealed that a quarter of its stores are unprofitable. Walgreens has had a tough time weathering high inflation, and its stock has dropped 65% this year. CEO Tim Wentworth is leading a turnaround effort, including executive changes and cost reductions.
