The Israel Defense Forces reportedly killed Hezbollah's entire senior Rodwan Force Command and a targeted airstrike today.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Among the dead is Ibrahim Akeel, a top leader involved in Hezbollah's Conquer the Galilee attack plan. Akeel is also linked to the 1983 U.S. Embassy bombings in Beirut and had a $7 million bounty out for him. The Rodwan force is responsible for much of Hezbollah's operations against Israel, including plans to infiltrate Israeli communities. In a 3-2 vote, the Georgia Election Board approved a new rule today requiring all counties to hand-count ballots in addition to machine-touch. Catties. Critics say the change could delay November's results by weeks or even months, and that the change in procedure comes so close to the election that it would be near impossible to implement. Proponents, however, say these rules are part of an effort to make the state elections more secure and transparent. The House unanimously passed a bill today that would strengthen security
Starting point is 00:01:21 for presidential nominees following two attempts on the life of former President Trump. The bipartisan legislation backed by a 405-0 vote would standard. Secret Service Protection for the President, Vice President, and Major Party candidates. Representatives Mike Lawler and Richie Torres introduced the bill following the July shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, and renewed urgency came after a second attempt in Florida. I introduced this bill with Congressman Richie Torres, a progressive Democrat from the Bronx, because we both recognize that in America, elections should be determined at the ballot box
Starting point is 00:01:59 and not by an assassin's bullet. And the fact that the Secret Service did not give President Trump the highest level of security in the aftermath of the first shooting is outrageous. Meanwhile, an internal probe from the Secret Service admits to communication failures with the local law enforcement in the first assassination attempt on Trump back in July. The report highlights missed opportunities and gaps in coordination that hampered the service's response. Missouri Senator Josh Hawley is raising concerns over whistleblower allegations following the second assassination attempt against Trump. Daily Wire Deputy Managing editor Tim Rice has the latest.
Starting point is 00:02:40 In a letter to acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Roe, Holly cited claims from a whistleblower with direct knowledge of Trump's security at his golf course. The whistleblower alleged known vulnerabilities in the fence line were not properly monitored during Trump's visit, allowing a gunman to sit and wait for the president undetected for 12 hours. Holly questioned why standard security protocols were not followed and called for answers on the failure to properly secure the area. Here's Holly. This person is familiar with the golf course and what they tell me is it is standard Secret Service protocol. There are known vulnerabilities at that course. That is areas where you can get a clear line of sight from off the course of people playing the course. So it has been Secret Service protocol to station agents at these known sites before Trump would play the course.

Starting point is 00:03:51 a large land development north of Houston, Texas, to dismiss a federal lawsuit. Daily Wire reporter Spencer Lindquist has more. The lawsuit allows, ledges that Colony Ridge used predatory lending practices targeting Hispanic buyers, specifically migrants. The developers would initially advertise in Spanish while later presenting loan documents in English. The judge ruled that these allegations support claims of so-called reverse redlining, where unfavorable mortgage terms were offered to Hispanic buyers.
Starting point is 00:04:18 In addition to the federal suit, Colony Ridge faces a lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and investigations from multiple agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency. House Resolution 7909 has passed the House. The violence against women by illegal aliens act allows for the deportation of illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes. Representative Nancy Mace, who sponsored the bill, celebrated its passage, saying it sends a strong message that, quote, if you are an illegal who has committed acts of violence against women, you will not find sanctuary here. The bill passed the House handily despite 158 Democrats voting against it, and now heads to the Senate. Chicago Public Schools are facing criticism after allegedly instructing teachers to give passing grades to migrant students, even if they struggled academically.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Daily Wire reporter Marita Lorty has the details. Several teachers told WGN Radio that they were told to give migrant students a 70% grade despite language barriers and academic deficiencies. Here's some of that interview. We were given a training about how to handle all of our newcomers to our school. And towards the end of this session, someone did ask the question, what are we supposed to do about grades? The students reportedly did not speak English and the schools did not offer English as a second language classes. Meanwhile, Chicago Public School's CEO Pedro Martinez had this to say when asked if migrant students were held to the same standards as American students. Yes, they are. And in fact, one of the things that I'm proud of is over 90% of our migrant students were able to put them in teachers that are certified, either for bilingual or ESL.
Starting point is 00:05:52 The district, however, later admitted to modifying guidelines for English learners. Chicago educators say the influx of nearly 50,000 migrants from the border has added extra strain to an already struggling education system. And Caterpillar Inc. is shifting into reverse on diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. The move comes after filmmaker and conservative activist Robbie Starbuck threatened to expose the company's use of such practices. The construction and mining equipment makers said it will focus all employee training programs. programs on fostering high performance. According to a company spokesperson, while Caterpillar executive spoke with Starbucks and disagreed with some of his claims, the company did back away from DEI initiatives. Caterpillar is joining a string of U.S. firms rethinking their policies
