Two men from Venezuela have been arrested and charged with the murder of a 12-year-old girl in a Houston neighborhood. Houston police say the two men were seen speaking to the girl at a near-revely. by convenience store on surveillance video shortly before her murder. The New York Post reports that
Starting point is 00:01:08 one of the suspects crossed into the country illegally just last month, and he claimed that he was afraid to return to his country. The girl's body was found by a neighbor in a nearby creek. Her mother, Alexis Nungary, spoke to reporters. She was an amazing little girl. Amazing. I was so excited to see the woman she was going to turn into. I always knew God. had other plans for her. She's meant to be here. She's supposed to be here. Also in Colorado last week, a 64-year-old father and grandfather was killed by an illegal immigrant from Mexico who has been deported 16 times. 47-year-old Ignacio Cruz Mendoza flipped the truck he was driving on top of five other vehicles, killing Scott Miller. The suspect was charged with vehicular homicide,
Starting point is 00:01:59 driving a commercial vehicle with no qualifications and reckless driving. He was first arrested in 2002 for drug trafficking. ICE has filed a detainer on the suspect ordering local authorities to hold him. The victim's daughter Michelle Tusa remembered her father fondly. He was just young. He was only 64 and I just want everybody to know my dad was fun. He was an awesome dad. He was an awesome grandfather.
Starting point is 00:02:27 He left behind a grandson and a granddaughter, and they miss him. We're all going to miss them. In a new investigation, the Wall Street Journal found that Instagram continues to recommend sexual content to users as young as 13. Daily Wire investigative reporter Marita Lorty has more. The journal and a Northeastern professor created accounts listing the owner age is 13. Users were immediately shown content of sexy dancing or seductive poses. Users who watched the reels were shown adult sex content within three minutes. In less than 20 minutes, they were offered nude photos.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Similar tests of TikTok and Snapchat did not produce sexualized content. Even adult content on TikTok was less sexual than that found on Instagram reels for teens. Meta spokesman Andy Stone said the investigation does not match the reality of how teens use Instagram. podium positions in the order of closing statements have been finalized for next week's first presidential debate. Daily Wire reporter Zach Jule has the details. Donald Trump will get the last word and Joe Biden will stand behind the podium on the right. Those choices were decided by a coin toss, which the current president won. The former president is not holding mock debates, but he is preparing with policy briefings from experts in certain areas, including from Senator Marco Rubio.

Some of L.A.'s homeless will soon be able to move into a 19-story luxury high rise on Skid Row. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce reports on the new shelter. Starting point is 00:04:29 The building features a gym, an art room, a library, a cafe, and several balconies. Voters approved a $1.2 billion bond to pay for the project back in 2016. Proposition HH promised to build 10,000 units for the homeless at a price of $137,000 per unit. But an audit by the city comptroller found that so far, each unit has cost an average of about $600,000. At that rate, the 10,000 promised units would cost nearly $6 billion. Thousands of car dealerships were disrupted due to a cyber attack on their software provider. DailyWire reporter Spencer Lindquist has more. The cyber attack on software company, CDK Global, affected about 15,000 dealerships across the
Starting point is 00:05:13 US for at least two days. Many dealerships are forced to use pen and paper for sales and repairs. The National Automobile Dealers Association is seeking more details on the breach, while dealerships implement contingency plans to manage the disruption. Car dealerships have become a popular target for hackers due to the large amount of sensitive data they collect from customers. At least 562 people have died during the annual pilgrimage to Mecca since it began last week. Many of the deaths are attributed to high temperatures. The tradition goes back a thousand years and now some two million Muslims make the trek every year to the Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia. And this
