The U.S. is in discussions about a potential Israeli strike on Iranian oil facilities.
President Biden confirmed the talks when speaking.

The Commons caused a brief spike in global oil prices to $74 a barrel,
and come just a day after the president said he does not support a retaliatory strike from Israel.
Despite rising tensions, Biden emphasized that any decisions would be made in consultation
with Israel as he departed for a tour of hurricane damage in Georgia and Florida.

Increases in certain areas are up more than 50-fold under the Biden-Harris administration.
This year alone, more than 19,000 migrants from 97 countries were apprehended in the Swan sector,
which covers over 200 miles of the northern border.
Border Patrol officials say this number surpasses the total from the last 17 years combined.
The rise and crossings comes as migrants seek entry via the northern border, which lacks
the asylum restrictions imposed on the southern border. The northern stretch remains largely unfortified
with limited law enforcement presence. One week after Hurricane Helene devastated the southeast. Over 200 people
are dead across six states. Daily Wire reporter Amanda Presta Giacomo has more.
Flooding has cut off entire communities and the death toll is expected to rise as more areas are reached.
Rescue efforts continue in North Carolina as President Joe Biden deploys 1,000 soldiers to assist
with aid. Despite those efforts, locals have cast the federal response under much scrutiny,
noting problems with received aid and a lack of warning leading up to the disaster. One woman says
she almost feels abandoned by the federal governments. When we heard that Biden was just going to be,
you know, flying around, it kind of just made us feel like, as a president, you know,
where is that guidance, where you're supposed to be kind of here helping us with this.
The local criticism comes amid a warning from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas
that FEMA is running out of funds to handle the rest of hurricane season.
And amid the desperate need for evacuations, a South Carolina pilot faced threats of arrest
while rescuing victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.
After coordinating with authorities and successfully airlifting stranded individuals out,
Jordan Seedham was confronted by a local fire official who demanded he stopped his efforts
or face arrest. He returned later to continue his efforts after restrictions were lifted.
Last year's deadly wildfire in Maui was reportedly caused by equipment that had been damaged by high winds.
Electro equipment that failed was a result of malfunctioning power lines.
Hawaiian Electric confirmed the information yesterday. The blaze reignited after firefighters
thought they had extinguished an earlier fire sparked by downed power lines.
Reportedly driven by erratic winds, the fire swept through Lahaina,
destroying thousands of buildings, including at historic sites.
Hawaiian Electric says it's reviewing its protocols to prevent future disasters.
Meanwhile, fire and ATF officials continue to stand by their fire response.
Our firefighters spent extensive on-scene time despite the fact that they were being subjected
to near hurricane force winds and the constant danger of falling utility lines and poles.
The DOJ has charged five former University of Michigan students for allegedly photographing
a military installation during joint training exercises with the Taiwanese military.
The Chinese nationals were caught in August of 2023 taking pictures of military equipment at Camp Grayling.
They initially claimed to be stargazing but later admitted to pre-booking their trip,
and investigators found photos of military vehicles on one of their phones.
The men have apparently not yet been arrested, but face charges if they come into contact with U.S. authorities.
The doctor who illegally provided ketamine to Matthew Perry has pleased.
did guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute drugs. Perry, the friend Star, died in October of
23 after his assistant administered the drug. Other factors, including coronary artery disease,
contributed to his death. Dr. Mark Chavez faces up to 10 years in prison with sentencing scheduled for
