Starting point is 00:00:02 I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief John Bickley. It's Monday, November 21st, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update. Colorado authorities have filed charges against the 22-year-old suspect who allegedly killed five people and wounded several others in a shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs over the weekend. The suspect faces five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of a bias-motivated crime that caused bodily harm. President Biden celebrated his 80th birthday on Sunday. becoming the first president to reach that milestone while serving in office. The occasion comes as questions circle about Biden mounting another presidential bid and whether he's too old to serve another term.

During an appearance on Fox News, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy vowed to remove Democratic representatives Eric Swelaw. Swalwell, Adam Schiff, and Elon Omar from their congressional committees once Republicans retake control of the House. McCarthy says Swalwell's association with a Chinese spy, Schiff's promotion of the steel dossier, and Omar's criticism of Israel disqualify them from serving on the panels. In recent years, Democrats have removed Republicans from certain positions, and McCarthy promised to return the favor if the GOP won midterms. In reaction, outgoing House majority whip, Democrat James Clyburn slammed McCarthy for playing tit-for-tat politics with Democrats. Why are you going to remove Adam Schiff from a committee?
Starting point is 00:02:05 Because one of your members got removed, that's not the way you run the government. That is a challenge. I would hope he would not do that. The midterm elections aren't officially over, as voters in Georgia still need to decide the winner of the Senate race between incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock and GOP Challenger, Herschel Walker, after neither candidate secured more than 50% of the vote on Election Day. On December 1st, former President Barack Obama will hit the campaign trail with Warnock in the Peach State. The state's Senate race faces a runoff election on December 6th.
Starting point is 00:02:40 On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris promised that the U.S. would become militarily involved if any nation attacked the Philippines. Harris made the remarks while visiting the Asian island. The comments come as tensions are rising in the region with China. In bad news for Americans at the pump, Saudi Arabia denied a Wall Street Journal report that the Middle East country and other OPEC oil producers have been discussing an output increase of oil. Several explosions shook areas of Ukraine surrounding the site of Europe's largest nuclear power plant on Sunday. The global nuclear watchdog is calling for urgent measures in order to prevent a nuclear catastrophe in the Russian occupied facility.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Disgraced crypto CEO Sam Bankman-Fried told CNBC that he's trying to work out a multi-billion dollar deal to bail out the bankrupt FTX cryptocurrency exchange. He found that is alleged to have engaged in some illegal activity. Bankman Freed told CNBC that he hates what happened and deeply wishes that he had been more careful. The 30-year-old is reportedly working on a deal from the Bahama Mansion where he ran the firm with roughly 10 other people. Costs of goods are falling in Germany for the first time in two and a half years,

The European nation posted producer prices this week that are showing signs the double-digit inflation plaguing Europe could soon reach its peak. if it hasn't done so already. Disney has fired CEO Bob Chappick in a dramatic development on Sunday. The company reinstalled 71-year-old Bob Iger, who retired as CEO a year ago after a 15-year successful run. Iger had groomed Chapik, who is 62, to take his place,
