Starting point is 00:00:02 Hey, this is Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief John Bickley with Georgia Hal. It's Tuesday, October 11th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update. Former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard announced she is officially leaving the Democratic Party on Monday. Gabbard ran for president as a Democrat in 2020 and served as a Democratic Congresswoman from 2013 to 2021. I'm calling on my fellow common sense, independent-minded Democrats, to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that the so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, and I invite you to join me. The national average of regular gas has risen to 392 a gallon. President Biden in recent weeks has blamed rising fuel costs on Russia and OPEC. Bank of America predicted this week that the U.S. economy will soon start losing 175,000 jobs a month as the Fed continues to hike interest rates in its effort to combat inflation.
Starting point is 00:01:02 47 current Democratic seats in the House of Representatives are considered toss-ups or potential Republican wins. That's according to real clear politics. It's expected that the GOP will retake control of the House. According to a new poll from Associated Press, 60% of adults say they expect relations with adversaries like Russia and North Korea to get worse. That figure is up from 26% for years ago. On Monday, a unified denial of service attack carried out by pro-Russia hackers, affected some large airport websites in the U.S. Flights were reportedly not impacted by the cyber attack.
Starting point is 00:01:39 The assaults were arranged by a group that refers to itself as Kilnet. Russian assaults are continuing today in Ukraine after a series of attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 19 people and more than 100 wounded on Monday, according to CNN. Ukrainian President Zelensky has urged G7 leaders that common efforts to create an air shield for Ukraine need to be strengthened. And Israel and Lebanon came to a deal regarding maritime borders after months of discussions driven by the U.S. In a statement, Israel's prime minister said, this is a historic achievement that will strengthen Israel's security, inject billions into Israel's economy, and ensure the stability of our northern border.
