This week, the Senate voted 62 to 36 to end the COVID-19 national state of emergency.
Starting point is 00:02:35 The resolution now heads to the House, but the White House has already promised to veto it. The Biden administration would like to extend the national emergency until April of 2023. Congress must take the responsible action of reining in this massive expansion of government and restore Americans' fundamental rights by terminating the COVID-19 National Emergency Declaration. As for the elements of the pandemic response that are working needed, let's codify them into law. Let's work with the White House and with their friends across the aisle and exercise our Article I powers and do so through the legislative process.
