Starting point is 00:00:01 Bar stool sports Titan Brandon Walker Mostly Sports Welcome to Mostly Sports Presented by Modelo I'm Mark Titus He is Brandon Walker
Starting point is 00:00:32 It's Friday folks Folks I got great news for you Today is Friday It is September 18th We are live from Chicago And on this day And every other day
Starting point is 00:00:43 On this day You do that every time You can't say on this day around me dude You can't do it You can't do it. You just want to try to get some more birthday guesses in? Uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:54 You didn't even, by the way, you didn't even check yesterday. Didn't even fucking check. No one checked. The Holmes. No. Was yesterday? Um. Happy birthday to Al Roker.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I'll say happy birthday to former Ohio Statewide receiver Anthony Gonzalez. That's nice. That's really nice. Yeah. Goner? We're going to get one of these one day. Um, oh, you're so close, Mark. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Just kidding. This is a different Anthony Gonzalez. Oh. I'll go, uh, Flay. Oh, I got it? Yeah, you got it? I got it. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Oh, my. Wow. I'm hot. Oh, yeah, you did. Whoa. Oh, you know. He cheated. Representative Anthony Gonzalez?
Starting point is 00:01:38 Connor, what took you so long on that one? God, it's flown away. I, I'm sorry. I thought you actually legitimately first thing got it. There's another Anthony Gonzalez. I just follow Ohio State accounts. This morning I was shitting and they said, happy birthday, he gazelles and so.
Starting point is 00:01:50 So it's not Al Roker's birthday Lance Armstrong I would say What about Flavav of Flav? September birthday What is September As far as Signs?
Starting point is 00:02:00 Libra And that means people who what? LeBra What does Libra tell us about? Whoever suits your prior Yeah Whatever suits your prior? But these are the babies
Starting point is 00:02:11 Whose parents Fucked on New Year's Eve, right? Oh, that's right Yeah, that's right Leber means your parents were horny on New Year's Yes What that means?
Starting point is 00:02:20 Christmas and New Year's New Year's. Your parents were getting it in. We're in Virgo. And Virgo means... Until the 22nd. What does Virgo mean, like, as far as personality type? MediBra, you're right, Bipo.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I'm a cusp. We don't know. We don't know what Virgo means as far as personality, I'm a cusp. You're a cusp. I'm a Libra. What's the other one, DJ? What is it?
Starting point is 00:02:40 Have we even talked about Modell? Loyal, analytical, kind, hardworking and practical. Their colors are gray beige and pale yellow? That sucks. We are brought to you by Modelo. College football season is Modelo's season. Saturdays are for the gridiron and servauses.
Starting point is 00:02:56 The fight songs, the fanquakes, the rivalry trophies are all better with an ice cold Modelo in here. Connor, you like college football, right? I love college football, yeah. You like having a good time? I'd say more than anybody, yeah. Oh, thanks, man. Have a Modella. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Yeah. You can give one to Ebo if you want. Yeah, I'll pass it down. Take another Modella. Yeah. Thank you, man. Appreciate that. It's a slippery slope.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Connor. You're the man, Mark. Thank you. It's not just gay its tradition. And those who keep college football traditions alive deserve a Modelo. Modello is the official beer sponsor
Starting point is 00:03:31 of the college football playoff. Drink responsibly. Modello special beer imported by Crown import, Chicago, Illinois. Stock up. Yeah. Give us more. Feed me.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Take a couple of models. Stock up now. This is the box that the Teabobb fell on. Yes. Has opened. Mm-hmm. has opened
Starting point is 00:03:51 I left us left Mark with some disposable yeah yeah and so I've just been staring at it can I say something about Modello go ahead I fucking want one I've started on my Fridays
Starting point is 00:04:01 tweeting out like my Modellos at the bar like in cool locations around Chicago and I have a very loyal Ebo hive or Modelo hive yeah
Starting point is 00:04:10 that all just reply I fucking want one I think I tweeted out last Friday I got like 30 I fucking want ones in the replies so I live for the Modello I fucking want
Starting point is 00:04:19 the Ebo hose the Ebo the e-boners E-bros. I think we did this. E-brose. The E-bros. Yeah, shot all the E-bros out there. Did you try sneak E-boners in there? I think that's what we settled on like two years ago. TJ, you need a
Starting point is 00:04:32 Deutsch drop. Soundboard. You need like the Deutsch soundboard. We just need to be spam in that. But he's at Octoberfest. Fucking Walmart. In September. Is he really? Yeah. Couldn't pass up the great opportunity. I would, I think it's like a a moth to a flame. Like, I think he has to go.
Starting point is 00:04:48 I don't think he even buys a ticket. I think I think he just shows up there. Like the plane just comes by his apartment, picks him up and says, we're going. What do you want to talk about, Brandon? I would like to talk about the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions. And I don't know which one to talk about. All I know is I've watched Josh Allen play eight quarters of football. And not only am I comfortable saying what everybody says,
Starting point is 00:05:17 he is obviously the best quarterback right now, but I'm also comfortable in saying this is a level we haven't seen in a while. Even by his standard, this seems to be special. This is special. Now, you can chalk up last night to say he played one of the worst defenses I've ever seen in the National Football League, and that is true. But Sunday, he played against one of the best defenses in the National Football League, and he did the same exact fucking thing. I don't know. There's a play in the playbook, and everybody runs it.
Starting point is 00:05:46 It's where it's basically either a spider two-wide banana, or it's a concept like that, where some teams run a fullback out in the flat and a tight end, and you've got the crossers going in the, the corner there and the quarterback rolls to that side and what do you do? They do it with two tight ends with Kincaid and Dawson Knox, where Dawson Knox kind of comes in and Kincai goes out and then Josh Allen comes around and he's booting around. I don't know how you stop. Yeah. With that quarterback, I don't know how you stop it.
Starting point is 00:06:14 The only way to stop Josh Allen is to let him stop himself where he just. Hope he throws it to you. He yolos like the deep ball. Yeah. You know, he tries to do too much. that'll happen from time. I mean, it happened against the Bronco. You remember like it was a fumble, right?
Starting point is 00:06:28 Right before half in the playoff game? Yeah. It's one of the worst turnovers you'll ever see. Just hope he fucks up. He'll just do that every so often. That's about it at this point. That's about all you can do. And you said the Lions defense isn't good.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And last night they certainly didn't look good. But he's doing this against the Lions and the Texans, which coming into this season, were people saying the Lions didn't have a great defense? Yeah, they were. They were? I was hearing before, before it's not that they don't have a great defense. It's that their secondary is.
Starting point is 00:06:53 in shambles right now. They've got their two main guys out. You know, Terry and Arnold did what he did. He's out. Like, they, it's basically a patchwork secondary right now, and it was even that coming into the season. So we knew they were going to be bad against the pass, but they're bad everywhere.
Starting point is 00:07:09 They're bad all over. They're bad against a run. They're bad against every single thing. Well, what I'm saying is Josh Allen's going to make a lot of defenses look back. He is. It seems like every defense, yeah, he's going to do this too. And then you're going to say, I don't think that defense is very good. I saw a lot of,
Starting point is 00:07:23 gut reaction saying the Lions window is closed. Their defense was really bad last night. I mean, really fucking bad. I don't think necessarily their windows closed. I think their windows been closed. I've been on this for a while. I mean, Dan Campbell said it after, what was it, the Niners' choke job? Or he's like, we might not ever get back here.
Starting point is 00:07:41 I think he knew in that moment. I think Ben Johnson leaving has taken, I mean, the offense is still good, Brandon, but do you feel magic when you watch the Lions offense? Do you feel the magic? Do you remember how you felt a couple years ago? Do you feel that? Yeah, I felt that last night when the Bills had the ball. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Yeah. Do you feel like something specials happening with the Lions' offense? Not really. They can be good. It doesn't, like, it doesn't inspire a sense of wonder. I don't know. With Gibbs in there, I feel like there's always a home run possible. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:06 You still feel it? I don't. Not to the level I did, but. The defense used to be fucking awesome. And I, I mean, they are, they are a mess. Yeah. And I think Dan Campbell's, it's not like. Ben Johnson was the best coach on that staff.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I don't think there's any doubt about that. But I just, I just think a 41-31 loss on the road to a Super Bowl contender four and a half days after you played an overtime game is not exactly the best indicator. Oh, I'm not reacting to this. The defense will get healthier. I'm reacting to the last couple seasons of Detroit Lions football. I just don't. I think they're a good team, not a great team.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You just don't feel it. I don't feel it. The magic's gone. Whatever swag they have, whatever special thing they had is gone. Whatever, yeah. They're just another team. They're a good team. They're sometimes a really good team.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Whatever hope of like, could this be the team that gets to the Super Bowl and wins it for Detroit finally? I don't feel that at all anymore. All right. Throw out football skill. Throw out, you know, ability to win the Super Bowl. And just focus on watchable football games. And by watchable football games, I mean points, points, points.
Starting point is 00:09:13 In the NFC North this year, this division, you have the Lions defense, which collapsed against the Saints and they gave up 41 last night. And frankly, it could have been 15. 50, 55, whatever. Could have been as many as they really wanted. The other Bears defense that won, that scored, the Bears not only scored 59 points, they gave up 37. You have the Packers defense, which laughably gave up 39 points after having a big lead
Starting point is 00:09:37 the entire game. They just gave up 29 points in the last 20 minutes of the game. Then you have the Vikings who have a backup quarterback or whatever. I think we might have shootouts all year long in that division is what I'm trying to say. Yeah. Like Lions Bears, what's stopping that from being 62 to 59? That's a great question. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:09:54 That's a great question. It's a college conference is what I'm trying to say. It's a big 12. Yeah. NFC North, the big 12. What do you think, but it's not like an air raid off?
Starting point is 00:10:05 It's like we're not doing air raid. No, we're running the ball. We're going on her center and there's a lot of unique plays going on. Like, I think a lot of the teams have really bought into the idea that play action is just like a standard play at this point. Any sort of misdirection is a standard play. Motion isn't like. like a weird concept anymore.
Starting point is 00:10:24 20 years ago, if you sent a guy in motion, like, what the fuck are you doing? Yeah. How much magic you think the lines have left? On a percentage scale?
Starting point is 00:10:36 Give me, yeah, how, uh, no, on a pie chart. Okay. Let's get a, let me the wedge.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Use your hands to visualize the wedge of magic left. Like, like, that's a church. You're right. Like that much. That's a pizza.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Yeah. Okay. Like that much? All right. Who are the most magical teams of the NFL right now? Because like you said, like four years ago, the Lions. Bears and Bills? Bears, bills.
Starting point is 00:11:08 The Lions magic was like they shook, they shook the stink off a little bit. And then they were an electric offense. That's right. Right. Look at the lions. Yeah. Yeah. These are the fucking, these aren't your daddy's lines.
Starting point is 00:11:18 That's right. That's right. Yeah. But now Daddy's dead. And we're just left with a lion scene we can't defend anybody. Yeah. Is part of the magic dying the fact that even though he's a really good quarterback, and in that system he can be like really, really solid and do a lot of great things,
Starting point is 00:11:37 there's a ceiling kind of on Jared Gough where he doesn't have the athleticism as a guy like Josh Allen, or a guy like Caleb Williams. He's got all these explosive guys, whether it's Gibbs or JMO or Amman Rae St. Brown, all these guys. But he himself is not very mobile and he's more of a standard pocket passer and that kind of hurts him. I think you're forgetting that Jared Goff recognized us at the dinner last year. Yeah. He came upstairs and what do you say? Mark, who do you recognize?
Starting point is 00:12:03 Barstool. Yeah. That's what he said. Yeah. It's a barstool. Mm-hmm. So it sounds pretty magical to me. No, I think you can be magical and have a quarterback who's not exactly mobile.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Maybe. I mean, he still pushed the ball. You know, he made some throws last night that were awesome. Plus you got Jamir Gibbs. Jamir Gibbs is a highlight waiting to happen. You got to have a highlight guy if you're going to be magical. They're a great mad. You still believe.
Starting point is 00:12:26 It sounds like you still believe in the line. I don't. You think something's in there. I think they are back into the defense will get healthier. And they're in a remarkably winnable division. That's all. Will they win the Super Bowl? No.
Starting point is 00:12:37 But I think that I guess I'm taking everybody saying their window closed that's really pushing them further back in the pack than they deserve to be pushed. I still think they're probably between like the fifth and 13th best. I think we're saying the same thing. Just a matter of semantics. Yeah, I love that. The magic for me was like the idea of the Detroit fucking lions winning the Super Bowl, Brandon. Can you believe it?
Starting point is 00:13:01 This team might actually do it. And I don't think that this team's going to do it. No, it's not. I think that window is closed. It's more of like. I guess we're talking about the size of the window. Yeah. The lions are a good football team.
Starting point is 00:13:12 That's cool. That's nice. That's something that I didn't think would exist when I was growing up. But yeah. The bills, I mean, bills weren't going to lose an opening night of their stadium where most so their fans can see the game can I say something because last night
Starting point is 00:13:27 incredible night from the city of Buffalo Josh Allen is playing as good of football as not to be Troy Ackman but he's playing as good of football as anyone has ever seen do you see that
Starting point is 00:13:36 compilation of the Lepatar put together oh yeah yeah um I don't want so I don't want to poo poo them too much but uh so I'm going to say this softly because I know Cody might be watching the show right now
Starting point is 00:13:46 it's just stadiums stadiums just okay just a stadiums just like a stadium it's just like a stadiums just like a like a, I think if Buffalo had never said we're building a new stadium and they just showed up and played at the new stadium, I'm not really sure anyone would have noticed it was a new stadium.
Starting point is 00:14:01 But did you like the compilation of Al Michaels. I did like that. At new stadiums. I did like that. Mark, I thought it was going to be all 32 of them. Yeah. I thought it just kept going.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And I was like, oh my God. Has he been there for every single? They literally put him at every single stadium open. Soldier Field. And then when they... Welcome to Soldier Field. I'm Al Michaels. Brand new.
Starting point is 00:14:22 They did. Yeah, they did save the new Soldier Field, right? I guess they did. They did. They did. There was a new Soldier Field. There was Dallas. There was SoFi. I think of the oldest stadium possible, but I guess they did renovate Soldier Field. Lambo's, what's the oldest now? Soldiers renovated. Soldiers's the oldest. Yeah. Lambo's got to be one of the old. Depends on, I mean, yeah. I mean, Soldier Field is still the oldest, even though. Arrowhead still is technically up there. How come? How come? So in the early 90s, the Orioles changed everything about, well, the architects.
Starting point is 00:14:53 changed everything about baseball stadium design when they did the throwback and they did cannon yards and they integrated the building and they did this amazing shit. How come nobody's ever thought to do that with the NFL stadiums? Nobody's ever thought, all right, we're on a bay. Let's have a, like, let's have a beach in the, like, nobody's. Like Washington football, like how they get, they got the. Sure. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:15:14 Like, their little situation, like, why don't you build pro stadiums like that where you got the salegating going on? Yes, so you can do the sailgating or you just said Washington, what if we built a stadium downtown where we see the monuments or something. Why has nobody come up with a different way to do an NFL stadium? Because that stadium we saw last night is just the same as every other stadium in the league. Seattle, I feel like, not to stick on Washington, but maybe did Washington got right? Is their stadium like pointed at the skyline?
Starting point is 00:15:40 It always feels like it is, but I didn't. It could be. That end zone that's like. But I'm not even just talking about pointing at the skyline or pointed to anything. Just integrating anything or anything different, you know, different. a different way to see the stadium. I don't know. Just something. Something. Somebody come up with something. I'm not smart enough. Yeah, they
Starting point is 00:15:59 do kind of. Is that why the, I imagine that's why the end zone seats are a little lacking, we'll say. Well, I do think they have the cool end zone seats with the, yeah. Is that pointed like a football? I've always thought it was a football. I will say sofi, we like to be like... Okay, yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:15 so far is different. They like to say that all we're building all these same kind of new, modern, whatever. Stadium is all at the same So if I was like with the most breathtaking city I've ever seen. It was incredible. Incredible. Now it doesn't have the character of like a Camden Yards or a Fenway Park, but it was still just jaw dropping.
Starting point is 00:16:35 To your point about the to Washington, D.C., I think their plan is to put it on the old RFK site. And it's going to be stylistically like the monuments around D.C. With like the columns. And it's supposed to face the Washington Monument. It should belong to the city. Like it should be It's still supposed to be like One of the modern ones that you can have
Starting point is 00:16:56 The Final Four at or something Where there'll be a roof But like the Buffalo Stadium should be on the edge of Niagara Falls What you're describing is basically what Soldier Field already is It's like in the city It's right by the lake The lake effect is what's more Chicago In fall and winter than just disgusting weather
Starting point is 00:17:14 affecting the football game You know Well really summer Disgusting weather Disgusting weather in the summer Just disgusting weather in general Connor, how public are you making today's event? Definitely not the location.
Starting point is 00:17:28 But have you told people what it is? Yeah, I brought it up on the show before. Do you know what he's doing? Yeah, he's having a party at Concrete Beach tonight. But do you know what he's doing? No. And why are you doing this? You're recreating your apartment on the beach?
Starting point is 00:17:41 Yes. Why? Because people always get on me that I never host anything, and nobody's ever been to my apartment. But the reason for that is because it's just too tiny. So you're going to bring your apartment to come up. Concrete Beach. Correct. Who gets on you about...
Starting point is 00:17:53 We won't say where on Concrete Beach, but it's... Yeah. Who gets on you about not hosting? Some of the fellas out there. Like, for example, Blake, who we know and love, dear friend of mine, I've been to every single one of his places. He's never seen one of mine. It's just because it's too tiny.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I can't host people. Is Blake coming to the party today? I gave him an invite, so we'll see. I can't tell if you'd be a good host. But there will be a couch there. There will be a table. some chairs, bistro will be there. It'll be fun.
Starting point is 00:18:23 I envision getting to Conner's house as he's hosting a party and he opens the door and he's wearing like a 1950-style mom dress. And he's got a, I don't know, one of those old dusters. And he just comes, when you walk in, he shoes the office seat. That's right here. That's right. That's what I envision. Can I put you guys onto one of my favorite TikTok follows?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Sure. His name is J.R. Wider. He is. And yes, he is. he teaches you how to host oh okay i like that teaches you how to host a party he's like he shows off how he host parties like the things he makes custom napkins cigar bars
Starting point is 00:19:01 cocktail bars he sounds like he's doing too much he's he's he is oh is he's supposed to is this supposed to be a jr writer balloons on the mailbox just to know where the house is or no this is just a coincidence i'll show you what i did you don't need to film like that like this is the main living room and I usually put out a cheese ball just so people can have an hors d'oeuvre.
Starting point is 00:19:22 But one tip is I would suggest you cut the cheese or start the cheese before your party because most people will not be the first one to start or cut the cheese. Throughout the house, I have coolers that have beer and seltzers in it and that will cut the line down on the bar so people can just grab a beer if they want or go in the other room for a liquor drink. In the kitchen, I usually put out bar snacks and then I have a couple adult treats if people want to partake in that since it's legal in Missouri. Down here in the den, I have a full bar set up, so the bartenders will be here.
Starting point is 00:19:51 One will be here, and one will be also passing hors d'oeuvres or taking drink orders. So I have a full bar, and I usually just get my glasses from the dollar store. So they're actually kind of nice for the dollar store. So if someone drops and breaks it, it's not a big deal. And then I also did have a couple made for my 40th birthday. Oh, I forgot to light the candles. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:20:11 And take all the cellophane off. For food, I pick options that can sit out at room temperature for a couple of hours. So I did both tenderloin sandwiches with horserrida sauce. And then I did veggies and dill dip. And then I picked up toasted ravioli from my local grocery store. So that is store bought. And then I did strip cocktail with pink sauce. And then this is everyone's favorite that I make are party pizzas.
Starting point is 00:20:32 So those will be. So does he do this often? That's his 40th birthday, but he teaches you how to make like party dishes and stuff. This is good. When you said his name, I really thought we were going a different direction. No, he's.
Starting point is 00:20:44 He also teach you how to. Yeah, Brandon. Okay. Brandon, come on, man. Yes, he does love with his husband. This is valuable information. Oh, I was just kidding. He does love with his husband.
Starting point is 00:20:56 I love J.R. I'd love to have him on the show. He's fantastic. He seems awesome. He's only three hours away, four hours away if he's in St. Louis. He did like a guy's night video, and one of the things was like a tray of cigarettes in case anybody wanted to smoke a cigarette. That's great. It's fantastic. I think everything.
Starting point is 00:21:12 I mentioned that's what Connor would be as a host. Gay. No, I just, I think hosting is very fun. Like, I know a guy who every single football Saturday, he hosts a tailgate, not to bring tailgates back up again. And it's like his favorite thing to do in the world. And I would love to get to that point. I just don't have the space for it.
Starting point is 00:21:33 That was like the Spellbinder night. You had to rent a space hour, right? That was at my friend's apartment in their party room or whatever you want to call it. So I'm curious to hear how this goes tonight. It's a test run. Because I see you as more of a guest than a host. And that's, hey, listen, totally fair of you to have that assumption of you. You're a good guest.
Starting point is 00:21:50 I don't know. I see, I don't know. But there are different types of guests. Like, there are the guests that, like, show up and are looking to be active assistant hosts. He's an assistant host. Yeah. He's an assistant host is what he is. That's right.
Starting point is 00:22:04 That's what he is. Yeah. I like bringing people together, though. Yeah. And I think that's the key element here of hosting. It's just like if mad dog threw a, if mad dog threw a party at her apartment, you would be the guy that answers the door in like a tucks. Yeah. Would you... I haven't done a tux, but I have been like the doorman before at a party.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Would you be okay as a host if people took poops in your restroom and then stayed in there and filmed videos about the... I did not take a shit in your... Would you be okay with that? Technically, sure, yeah. Okay. But I never took a shit in your bathroom. Which is fake news? Is DJ Moore okay?
Starting point is 00:22:42 What's the update? They said he's going to be okay, but... I don't know. If he's okay, well... why was he not? Well, that was the ironic thing about the Josh Allen play because he rolled out on that one. I thought he had a walk-in touchdown.
Starting point is 00:22:53 He decided to try to squeeze it to DJ more and got him hurt. Yeah. I don't know. As sports fans are collarbone injuries and Achilles the easiest ones for us to feel like legitimate doctors? Collarbone for sure.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Achilles now. We've got the rhythm of an Achilles down. What do you mean by the... So like you... When you're watching, you can diagnose it. You can watch a guy get hurt and immediately know what the injury is. Not having a doctor.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Concussion. Concussion. Concussion. Sprined ankle is still the number one of like you watch a guy's ankle just get rolled up on. And then you can. I think collarbone might be coming. Collarbone. Collarbones.
Starting point is 00:23:30 When a receiver or running back falls forward and then he immediately does this, that's collarbone every time. Yeah. But y'all don't think. Achilles, I feel like we're almost there as far as. Yeah, Achilles is, it's becoming more common. Because it's never any contact. That's the only thing about collarbone is like you don't see it quite as often. But rolled ankle is something that we've all had happened to us.
Starting point is 00:23:52 You see it every game. I don't know. But with rolled ankle, with rolled ankle, you always, you have to decide, did he break it? Or is it just sprained or what? Yeah. Or will it be fine in three minutes? But part of the injury thing is like, as me being a doctor on my couch, is I have to have the expertise of knowing how much that hurts.
Starting point is 00:24:12 And, you know, I think that factors in. like, if I'm going to call this guy a pussy, I need to see the replay. Oh, shit. Oh, yeah, he rolled up on him. Yeah, that one hurt. That one really, really hurt. Speaking of, is the Mets guy okay? Oh, that was crazy.
Starting point is 00:24:27 That's nasty. Think he's still in the hospital, right? I haven't seen an update on it. It is. I haven't either. That is as jarring ahead as somebody will take on the baseball field. And then the poor guy had the people cut. Did I see a video of like the response team?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Oh, my God. Yeah. Fucking that up. Yeah. Oh, well, they couldn't, they didn't know
Starting point is 00:24:48 how to jack up the... Yeah, no. There was some medical professionals on Twitter saying like, a move like that
Starting point is 00:24:54 could be, like... Fatal? Yeah, for somebody dealing with a spinal injury Yeah, it's dramatically bad.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Yeah. Yeah. It's tough. It's really tough. All right. Well, Kenne Coleman was good last night. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Way to go, Evo. Well, can I just... My two touchdown scores that I brought, they hit. Yeah, my two legs. Donald King Cade. I also hit.
Starting point is 00:25:20 King Morgan. Getting respect from Cam Newton, at least whoever runs this account. Can I just, to my defense really quick, I have two excuses. You just want to throw Cody on to the bus? Because we're fine with that. So my first excuse is the horses picked it. Not me. You put it on the horse board. The horse picked.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Okay. My second excuse is the Bill's fan that I am closest to told me he was a checkdown merchant. I did not think Josh Allen was stretched the field to deep down the field to receivers. I thought it would be a running back tight end only thing. The number was like 13. It was two catches. It was two reception.
Starting point is 00:25:56 It was funny that Brandon said yesterday, that's only one catch. Yeah. It took two. Yeah. Well, the second one was over 13 yards, right? Yeah. So, make the first guy who has never lost a bet cast a stone. Yeah. It's true.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Go ahead. I was just going to say, that was one thing. sorry, as high power as the bill's offense was, and they go up, what was it, 21-0-0 to start the game. The fact that the Lions were still in that game somewhat in the fourth quarter. They were hanging around. Yeah, they're never going to be out of a game because they could have made it a field goal game at one point in the fourth quarter.
Starting point is 00:26:27 If they can get two of those safeties back, they'll be a contender in that division. I just, as of right now, I don't understand why the safety's being out means Hutchinson looks so slow. I don't know why it means the James Cook is gashing them for nine yards of carry whenever he wants to. The whole defense. Now, that can be explained by the fact that they played an overtime game four and a half fucking days ago and then traveled to Buffalo.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Yeah. It really is. It's an entertainment product. It's incredible. They ask these guys to play in an NFL football game, one of the most grueling, daunting things you can do in sports. Yep. They asked them to do it after a nine-month break from doing it.
Starting point is 00:27:09 And then four days later, hey, go on the road and do it. it again. Thursday night football is actually insane that it exists. It's fucking insane, Mark. It's so stupid. There's no way it should exist. And it's only going to get worse before it gets better in terms of a, like, Wednesday night football's coming.
Starting point is 00:27:26 They wake up on a Sunday. They play a football game. You know, they get their medical treatment at the end. They go to bed. They wake up on a Monday. Probably don't do anything. You have to imagine sore as fuck. And sores fuck.
Starting point is 00:27:42 And by Tuesday, you're trying to start getting out of it. of it and and then by Wednesday you're still and you play tomorrow night. You play tomorrow. Yeah. Get back out there. And yeah, by by Wednesday you're on a plane to somewhere else. Right. It's like you're back in the roof.
Starting point is 00:27:56 But also we need you get on this plane and fly to fly to your next game. Two things from last night and I want Brandon Walker's. You were doing the Branden Walker College football show last night, right? I did. I did. I'm not sure if. And I have one of the most delightful things, which I don't know. if you've ever experienced it.
Starting point is 00:28:14 You probably have, and I don't know basketball coaches do this. Have you ever been talking to a coach? Because coaches only talk to each other, right? Yeah. Coaches only talk to each other. I had Jeff Collins,
Starting point is 00:28:26 former Georgia Tech coach on the show. He was fantastic. And he just kept calling me coach the whole time. Oh, really? Have you ever interviewed a coach? And they're like, let me tell you something, coach. Yeah. I don't know if an interview,
Starting point is 00:28:35 but I've had conversation with coaches where they do that, yeah. I love it. Because coaches only talk to each other sometimes, especially during the season. And he's like, let me tell you something. coach. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Fantastic. Coach is just replaced sir or something or like, yeah. Coach is just every person they talk to. You think they do that with like. Their wives? Yeah. They might. They might.
Starting point is 00:28:57 They're Uber drivers. They're just everybody they interact with. They might. I want your reaction to the following two things. So I'm going to say something. And for the people that weren't watching the Brain and Walker College football show or I imagine as you're doing your show, you were probably not locked in on these two things. Anyway, point is, you give me your reaction that was happening last night.
Starting point is 00:29:18 You do it again. I want you to recreate your reaction, all right? Number one is the bare naked ladies singing O Canada before the Bill's game against the Lions. Their rendition of O Canada, the fact that it was the bare naked ladies, all of it, Brandon. Okay. Okay. That was happening. Well, let me tell you my true and honest reaction to take me back to where I was.
Starting point is 00:29:42 So we finished that show at about 7 o'clock. It was starting at 7.20. I went upstairs, 8 dinner at my little nook. So I was sitting at my nook. So I didn't watch the bare-necked ladies do, oh, Canada. I simply saw the mostly sports group chat, as you guys described to me, bare-necked ladies. And it was a two-step process.
Starting point is 00:30:02 It was, oh, bare-necked ladies. Oh, oh, Canada. That's my reaction. Ah, okay. Yes. It was, ooh? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Because bare-necked ladies, yes. Yes to Bear Naked Ladies. Yes. No question about that. Oh, Canada in America, for no reason. No. Yeah. Does Buffalo consider themselves half Canadian?
Starting point is 00:30:22 I know. I think Cody was trying to argue that it's like Canada. Buffalo, the bills are somehow New York's football team. They like to say they're New York's football team because the Giants and Jets actually play in New Jersey, as you know. So they're the only NFL team that's headquartered and plays their games in the state of New York. Sure.
Starting point is 00:30:39 I'm so facto, we are New York's team. However, we are also. so Canada's team. And we're six hours from New York City. So I think they're both at the same time. Yeah, they didn't sound very good
Starting point is 00:30:51 the naked ladies. They didn't sound good? But I think there's only, I think it's only a naked lady, right? Look up the... It's only one? I think so. I think one of the ladies,
Starting point is 00:31:02 I think they split up and then one of the, the current lady got some filling ladies to around him, but one of the OG ladies is not with. them anymore. Are you a one, are you a neck, oh, are you a one week guy or are you, uh, if I had a million dollars guy? Um, they have other songs too. Other songs. Old
Starting point is 00:31:22 apartment's pretty good. Yeah. Old apartment's pretty, uh, probably one week. One week is great, but sometimes if you're in the right mood, I'm going to pinch me is a, if you're in the right mood, if I had a million dollars, it's a good mood song. Yeah. Now you, now you don't have to, you know, guy like you probably doesn't any of that, you know, that song means nothing to you now. Probably like if I had a million dollars, I'd kill myself. That's what Brandon says. You'd be shocked. I'd be, if I'd be living in the street, as what Brandon said.
Starting point is 00:31:49 I have more relatives at new houses than you could shake a stick at. The other thing I wanted to ask you about, I don't know if you saw this, but if you didn't, you need to watch it now. Sure. Ryan Fitzpatrick jumped through a table, Brandon. No. You know Ryan Fitzpatrick. Right, yeah, but tables aren't made for jumping through. That's stupid.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Ryan Fitzpatrick jumped through a table. What? Ryan Fitzpatrick jumped through a table. Okay. Teabobob yesterday and Wake up Barstall He didn't break. He tried to jump through the table. It did not break.
Starting point is 00:32:21 I'm starting to think that the bills do this just to get media people to do it. You know, like this is a trap. This is all, there are only like five instances of Bill's fans jumping through tables and they just kind of like doctor the footage and make it seem like this is something
Starting point is 00:32:35 that everybody's doing. And it's all the trap so that media types will be like, I want to try that. They're trying to get guys like T. Bob and Ryan Fitzpatrick to jump through tables live on the air. Did Fitzpatrick break his table? Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Did you see the, I think it was going to break, Fitzpatrick throwing an international pass to Stevie Johnson? Somebody's definitely done that before, right? They said it's the first international pass of all time. I don't think it's been documented. You don't think just a couple of bros were there and said, hey, I'm going to be in Canada, you'd be in the United States, you throw me a football. It's happened before, not maybe at that spot, but it's happened. Bros have to do it. That's the only reason bros go to borders.
Starting point is 00:33:22 That's right. I'm looking into it. I don't know. What do you think? I think that's one of the coolest. You think there's never been a past row. I don't know. You've never been a past thrown in the United States caught in Canada.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Not in that fashion, no. What fashion? Throwing the ball? Well, they were both on boats, no. Like one boat to another boat, was it? I think that's more likely what the other one would. Like, what if you're in the Bering Strait, right? And this is Canada, but you're like on the U.S. side and then you're on the Russia side.
Starting point is 00:33:55 And you're like, hey, catch this. Throw football. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, what about that? What about that? You don't think anyone wants to throw a football over the Bering Strait? Again, I'll look into it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Not the whole thing, but, you know, there's got to be a line in there somewhere. There's a line somewhere. There's a line somewhere. Um, I, um, the, the only thing that I'm seeing is just Ryan Fitzpatrick to Stevie Johnson. Which would make sense because it happened last night. If you click on the news topic, most relevant. News tab, it's going to, you're probably going to get a lot of that. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Border Patrol agent and teenager in Juarez play catch across the border. So that's, you know, further south. It is indeed. But that, that's not, yeah, we're, you're not going to count that. one? No, that counts. But if we're talking about
Starting point is 00:34:46 U.S. to Canada, Niagara Falls, whatever, I don't know if that's ever happened. Just to declare that football? You have to, like, that's, that you're saying international customs laws apply? That's a really good point. Maybe that's why it hasn't been done before. They probably had to go through a bunch of paperwork. And you're saying NBC filed the necessary paperwork last night? Amazon Prime.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Excuse me, Amazon Prime. Yeah. You're going to say something, TJ? No. You say something? No, he said something. You say something? Who's saying something?
Starting point is 00:35:18 It was TJ that was mumbling. I was what's in the football, man. Exactly. Josh Allen's breaking the all-time rushing record. Josh Allen. I don't know if you should get credit for it, but I think you should get credit for it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:31 I don't remember anybody ever talking about it before you talked about. Well, I brought it up to kind of do like a pace watch. Like he's on pace for what You know where's he where's he now? Okay so if he keeps this pace up Where's he going to be there All that sort of thing I don't think you need to even
Starting point is 00:35:48 To even do that anymore He's going to get it It's like not It's no longer like Will it like this isn't like Sosa McGuire You know like doing like the home run track This is like a guy at the All Star break
Starting point is 00:35:58 Has 61 home runs already You know That's how I feel about it I think it's a foregone conclusion He's going to set it Yeah I did the math on it last night It's unbelievable So he'll pass Jerome Bettis
Starting point is 00:36:09 by the end of the season, which would put him at what, 11th all time. He'll pass Marshall Falk. I mean, he could pass Barry Sander. So by the end of 2027 season, he should be in the top 10. By the end of the 2028 season, he'll probably be in the top three. Does it include playoffs? No. No, no.
Starting point is 00:36:28 It's not clear. This is all regular season. Playoffs do not matter. Okay. So, yeah, he's going to be top 10. Because his average for the last three years is 14. Let's say he does 10 more this year. That puts him in front of Jerome Bettis.
Starting point is 00:36:38 That's 93. Then it puts him at 103 at the end of 2027. And then, or sorry. 100. Yeah, sorry. And then 17 more would put him at, or 40 more would put him at it. I think he's getting it. I think he's going to get it.
Starting point is 00:36:52 And I think they've really leaned on him being the sneak guy, you know, like the, like so even when you're looking at his whole career and his rushing touchdown numbers, anytime they get the ball inside the three yard line now, they're just letting him sneak it, which is something they weren't doing. I mean, you know. Can I say something, though? He's starting out. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:12 I was do, so this is a big thing. His detractors like to say is that he's a one-yard merchant, which whatever that fucking means, that he only gets rushing touchdowns from inside the one, that he's just a product of poaching touchdowns, correct? Sure. I think the Connor Griffin's and the Jaylon Hurst winners of the worlds would say that. Yeah. In the play-by-play era, which we all know is 1977 and on, there are 51 players who have rushed
Starting point is 00:37:38 for 60 rushing touchdowns. Josh Allen ranks 21st for rushes in a percentage of those being inside the two-yard line. 21st. That's not very high. Can I? Do you want to know who ranks fourth? Who ranks fourth for Lamar Jackson? Percentage of touchdowns inside the two.
Starting point is 00:37:57 What are you trying to say? It's got to be a big time running back, right? Derek Henry? I don't know. Oh, you're going to say Jalen Hertz. Jailen Hurts. So Jailen Hertz is a true. one-yard merchant.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Josh Allen is not. Of course, but I just want to say, you know, with Josh Allen and whatnot, there have been plenty of times where there are a lot of people pushing his tush. Not really. Not really at all. He takes a snap, goes to the left and goes. And there's somebody behind him, either it's a running back or a tight end. That might have happened twice.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Absolutely not. And you could go back to last year, too. You could see it. Yeah. We just, that's not the design of the play. That's the play is to go run over there. Jalen Hertz would shift it and go to the goal. guard or to whatever side.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Listen. But Evo, the poaching. They said it was a safety concern. The poaching. Pouching a touchdown is when a backup running back comes, when the starting running back gets it all the way down the one yard line. Mike Tolbert comes in. The backup running back poaches the,
Starting point is 00:38:52 Josh Allen is a part of getting the ball to the one yard line. Yeah, that's not poaching. Yes. He's responsible for a large portion of the work that is required to get the ball there. Right. Sure. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:03 But the point is that, like, it's a narrative that is not true about Josh Allen that over have his touchdowns. I don't understand. I don't understand what the problem is. Yeah. No one has a problem with Emmett Smith scored a bunch of touchdowns from the two. Also, Roan bullied Sass out of Josh Allen and our fantasy league. Sass had the number one pick.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Rone had the number two pick. Ron was like, you can't pick a quarterback. Number one. That's stupid. And then Sass picked, Jemar Gibbs and Rone picked Josh Allen. Can I tell you something? Yeah. You guys shame me for doing it, but me and Liam were doing Big Cat's Fantasy.
Starting point is 00:39:38 drafts. We had the first pick. We took Jemir Gibbs. It got back around to us and we were like, you know what we're going to do? We'll take Josh Allen. It got all the way back around to you? Stephen Chee clowned us. Stephen Chee clowned us said, why would you take Josh Allen? It's a bit rich of a pick, I think he said in his blog. Ours is a two-quarterback league, which puts a premium-man-old quarterback.
Starting point is 00:39:55 But, but like, what? That means you were picking like, 20th? 20th? His logic was that because it's a six-point pass-point. touchdown league, but I don't think that fucking matters. Silly question, is Josh Allen the best fantasy football? Right now.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Right now, he's pretty good. I think if you went by the last six seasons, he's been either number one or number two quarterback at the end of every season. But what about overall player? This season number one, yeah. He's going to be one. So far, so good of all. I think Caleb had someone had more than, he was second going into this week, but he'll
Starting point is 00:40:31 probably be first. That's pretty cool. Yeah. Just fantasy football expert, Jay. He doesn't believe in Sequel and Barclay. Josh Young. True. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Mm-hmm. Can I tell you about a delicious ranch that I know? Please do, Braddon. It's called Marzetti Ranch. It's wonderful. It's fantastic. It stacks up to every ranch in the country. It's not even close when you taste the top shelf Marzetti stuff made with real
Starting point is 00:40:55 buttermilk, herbs, and spices. Marzetti has been making premium ranch and blue cheese for over 100 years, so they know what they're doing over there at Marzetti. Let's do an exercise, Mark. I'm going to name of food. You say if it's good with ranch. Fried pickles. Yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Monsarella sticks. Yeah. Fried mushrooms. Are you serious? Yes. Anything. Yeah. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Agreed. We're talking about real buttermilk, real herbs, real spices, real blue cheese chunks, and real good on wings, pizza, poppers, veggies, anything you can dip on game day. Don't settle for basic boring ranch. Get the restaurant quality stuff from Marzetti. Get the good ranch. Get Marzetti. Find Marzetti ranch at your local grocery store, refrigerated by the fruits and veggies.
Starting point is 00:41:38 and visit marsetti.com to learn more. We got college football this weekend. We got pro football this weekend. I actually do need to familiarize myself with the pro football schedule. But LSU Ole Miss remains, I guess, the big one. They're bringing in extra security. They're bringing in cops from other places.
Starting point is 00:42:00 They're building a fence to where an LSU gets out. I think this might be AI. I don't know. You never know. But LSU or Ole Miss is, is putting a fence around where the LSU bus is putting their players out. So LSU fans and Ole Miss fans won't be able to see them get off the bus. Is it overkill?
Starting point is 00:42:17 It is a college football game, right? I mean, do we think somebody, do we legitimately think somebody's going to do something really stupid? This is an actual rivalry, right? But it's like a one-sided rivalry. It's a one-sided rivalry. But, yeah. So there's like that element, too, I guess. But now it's, I mean, it jumped up.
Starting point is 00:42:35 It was a rivalry from Ole Miss to LSU. LSU kind of disregards them a little bit, but now they regard each other very highly because of the coach tie and everything. So, yeah, this is the biggest game in the history of the robbery probably. Yeah. Outside. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I guess overkill is probably better. You want to err on the side of overkill.
Starting point is 00:42:54 It does, it does feel like a European soccer situation. Like, is that what we're going to see with like the, you see like the soccer? The guards are just like all in the aisle way, like blocking off the two sections. It feels like what we might be in store for. But yeah, I don't know. I'm excited for the game. I hope it's actually a good football game, Brandon. Sam Levitt goes from doubtful to questionable yesterday.
Starting point is 00:43:17 How about that? I hope it's not just everything off the field and like the, you know, the Lane Kiffin saga part. So I have a feeling. I hope it's actually a banger of a game. I lean towards it not being a banger of a game. I lean towards the environment, one of those teams up.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Yeah. And if you start slow in a game like that, if you get down 14-0-0, I think you're done. Yeah. And that's for either side. Like, LSU is going into a viper pit of just absolute venom. And they're going, but if they were to score their first drive, get a turnover and score again, that breaks the spirit of the Ole Miss fans and the Ole Miss team. Likewise, if LSU goes in there with all this about their coach and they fall down 14-0,
Starting point is 00:44:02 I don't see them fighting back in that environment. I think the environment works in LSU's favor. I kind of agree. In these general, now this is a unique situation, but I think in general, when you have these pressure cooker situations, I do think there's something about, like, being the road team actually might be more beneficial,
Starting point is 00:44:20 Brandon, because your routine is more normal. Whereas, like, the Ole Miss players all week, everywhere they're going on campus, people are like, beat his fucking ass. They're kind of like gassing them up, and it's becoming a distraction, and there's going to be, um yeah it's just it's there they're there's going to be all these pep rallies and all these people like
Starting point is 00:44:37 people are flooding into the campus and you there there's a buzz around the campus which i think is awesome but also that can backfire that could backfire brand that they get too worried about like yeah what what do i say to lane when i shake his hand like do i fucking do i spit on the ground in front of him and and the people get like so worked up about that that they forget about the football game well then there's also the we're forgetting about the actual football what if lane it's just a much better coach in Ole Miss has. Yeah, exactly. What if Lane Kiffin has put together a much better roster than Ole Miss has?
Starting point is 00:45:07 Like those two things, we're not even considering it, really. But yeah, and do the players, do you think the players have as much reason to have animosity as the fans? The fans saw Lane Kiffin for six years. He built them from nothing to what they are now, to what they have been, and they got their feelings hurt when he left. But like Trinidad Chamis was at Ferris State. Yeah. When Lane Kiffin offered him to come to Ole Miss. Kiwan Lacey was a backup at Missouri.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Yeah, I imagine they might actually like Lane. Some part is probably like, yeah, thank you for, thank you for giving me this platform. Yeah, like every player on that team, with the exception of whoever signed this year, signed because of Lane Kiffin and he brought him in and he, whatever in IAL money, he's responsible for it. So I don't know why they would hate him. It would be fascinating.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Who has more of the advantage here when it comes to knowledge of their opponent? Is it? Oh, it's definitely Lane over Ole Miss. Because Lane has, I was talking to a film guy yesterday, Lane has actually changed some of the things. With LSU, he's doing a lot more emotion, a lot more of this, a lot more, he's completely changed his offense in one off season, whereas he knows everything about Trinidad Chambers.
Starting point is 00:46:19 He knows his tendencies. He knows what to avoid with him. He knows everything about Pete Golding. He knows that roster and that coaching staff down to a T. It smells like a route to me. And I hate... LSU beat an Ole Miss. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I feel the same way, if I'm being completely honest. That would be delightful. For that reason. But my life doesn't go like that. Yeah, true. Yeah. Y'all got to consider that. The Ben Minces of the world who deserve nothing win,
Starting point is 00:46:44 the Brandon Walker's who deserve everything lose. As an unbiased bystander, I feel like it's... I expect LSU to smoke them. Lane just picking them apart. All the emotion on the All-Miss side, riling up to a breaking point, and then they just can't play football. I see a lot happening not good for Ole Miss in this game.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Ole Miss is too jacked up. Yes. You can be too jacked up, Connie. I've seen it happen with my own football team where they just totally tense up. Let me ask you a question. Game Day will be there. They do a guest picker every week. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:16 This week, I think they have one of the most noble, awesome, incredible human beings you've ever seen. What are you making a face for? I don't know who it is, so I'm trying to guess. Okay. Yeah. Do you know who it is? No, I don't watch Game Day. I watch Big Noam.
Starting point is 00:47:31 That's fine. I'm just, I'm just discussing. I was just being serious. I don't have any idea what they're doing ever. So, so they do a guest picker every week. It was Chalomey one time last year, and you talked about it extensively, by the way. What? You talked about Chalemay being a ball knower.
Starting point is 00:47:44 What does that have to do with, it's Chalamay again? Shalamay. No, no, it's not Chalemaray. That's not Shalemite. Okay. But it is a regal, noble, incredible actor. He's also 90 years old. In this environment, we're dropping a 90-year-old.
Starting point is 00:47:59 No. Oh, it's Morgan Freeman. It's Morgan Freeman. It's an old Miss guy, right? Uh, it's Morgan Freeman. It's Morgan Freeman. How about that?
Starting point is 00:48:11 It's going to be chaotic and crazy. And then Morgan Freeman's, who, who, I picture of Morgan Freeman when he walks into a room, everybody just, if not Bowls, just like, oh, my God. It's Morgan Freeman. Literally God. Yeah, like, I can't, I can't yell and scream and cuss Lane Kiffin in front of Morgan Freeman. Yeah. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:48:29 You think Pat McAfee's going to be taking his shirt off and rubbing his nipples in front of Morgan Freeman? Yes, I do. Actually, yeah, I do. Morgan Freeman pants as mincy. He did. Morgan Freeman did almost pants Jani Broom. Remember that?
Starting point is 00:48:46 Oh, yeah, yeah. He was on the front row and Junae Broom slapped his hand away. Yeah. Yeah, I think that might have been when I learned that Morgan Freeman was an Ole Miss fan, that he just pops in the Oxford every so often. I think he just started like being a public Ole Miss fan, like a couple of years ago. Yeah. Is Mac if you're going to smoke weed in front of Morgan Freeman, you think?
Starting point is 00:49:06 Oh, yeah. Smoking reefer. Rolling doobies? Rolling dubies on television. Doobies on television, Connor? Can you imagine? Morgan Freeman. Doing the weed?
Starting point is 00:49:19 Smoking that ganja? You can't be doing the weed on television. Puffing the Magic Dragon on national television? Dancing with Mary Jane. I'm going. You're mad. Puffing on that. That wacky tobacco.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Yeah, that's a good one. Oh. So baked off the Bob Marley 420. That was crazy. Oh, man. Although he did put out an entire song about how much he loves to smoke, T.J. Dude, like five of his songs were about weed. No shit.
Starting point is 00:49:52 I didn't know he smoked that much weed. That's fucking tight. Not a McAfee Ball Knower, but yeah, it's pretty fucking awesome. It's so tight. I fucking love weeds. smoking it? So, weed is tight, dude. Getting high, smoking weed, getting a bong.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Some of my favorite things. Nothing better. All right, I'll save that. What the hell are y'all doing? You saw what happened? Did you see the clip? No. McAfee was smoking weed.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Oh, you know, I'm aware of that. I don't know. Okay. Connor, I thought we're talking McAfee. Devil's lettuce. God. You're just still going. Are you not a weed guy, Brandon?
Starting point is 00:50:33 You're not a... Not really. No smoke gange. Smells like dank up in here. Who's got that loud, man? Who's got that loud, man? Can I... Can I...
Starting point is 00:50:57 We got a couple of things, and we'll do it on the yak, but you're leaving, so you won't be on the act. Damn shame. Should we rescue Tate? Does Tate deserve this? Tate loves it. Tate loves every second of it. I don't. Tate loves sleeping on bedbugs. Yeah, I'm done doing Tate's a victim thing.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Tate signs up. Tate took a shower and Mincey's missing come today. He's going to make literally thousands of dollars from Twitter.com. Fair enough. And then, yeah, and then pretend like he's the victim. Tate loves this. All right. Right, Conner?
Starting point is 00:51:28 Yeah. Don't you think so? No, he knows the content. Same thing with his Ohio State thing. It's like, you know, I... I have seen Tate after the Buckeyes lose a football game, and he is definitely worked up, so I'm not here to say that he's faking it, but there is some part of him that, like, when we lose and he's like, oh, fuck.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Time to go to work. Oh, fuck. I'm going to be the talking point of this entire company for next week. Oh, damn. Yeah. Hate that, you know? You look at the views he's getting. He's getting close to a million views on every single tweet.
Starting point is 00:51:58 Yeah. Like the money he's going to reel in. That being said, how has, how's Mincey exist? How's he exist, guys? This does make public the way he has lived his entire life, and it is pretty shocking. Can I ask you a question, Brandon? I know you've always had a little bit of, like, a serious disdain for him in the sense that you try to work hard to dispel the stereotype that Southerners are dumb. I do.
Starting point is 00:52:27 Yes. Do you think maybe it's reached a point where it's actually gone better for you because he makes it look like the Ole Miss guys are the dumb yokels? That does help a little bit. Yeah, that does help a little bit. But it's still, I guess, I still would like to point out. Still all of Mississippi. No, no, no, time.
Starting point is 00:52:43 I'd still like to point out he is from Louisiana. Yeah. He is an LSU fan from Louisiana whose mom tricked him into going to Ole Miss. I don't think the world has the nuance of like their Ole Miss people in Mississippi State people. I feel like it's just, I feel like. he's dragging all of Mississippi down free Brandon. I don't think so. I disagree.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Okay. Disagree. Have you considered like just giving up on the whole thing and just being like... I pulled back a lot. Fuck it. Yeah. Yeah, I've pulled back a lot. But have you seen...
Starting point is 00:53:13 I don't know if you guys saw this. I got to find the picture, TJ. So Ole Miss spent like millions and millions of dollars to get their... To get their Heisman players on the sphere. Yeah. And Mississippi State, we have a reply. We have one. I got to find it.
Starting point is 00:53:33 It doesn't work unless you have the picture. Anyway, it's the pony strip club on Highway 45. The pony strip club. You respond it to the sphere with the pony. Says Camario for Heisman. Love that. Suck on that. Love that.
Starting point is 00:53:47 I got to take you boys to the pony, man. I'd love to. The pony is something that cannot be explained by actual human beings. It's in the middle of. of nowhere. It has a huge, there's the Ole Miss sphere. And there we go, the Pony of the Ultimate Strip Joint Super Camaro for Heisman. I like that.
Starting point is 00:54:07 And they had a Dolly Party. They're having a Dolly Party. What is that in town? I'm going to guess Titties. Titties is my number one guest there. That's a week from today? You have to. You want to go to the Dolly Party?
Starting point is 00:54:20 We've got a home game next week. Nate's already down there. Yeah, it might have to be the play. on 925, 925. Oh. That's why they're doing it. Yeah. Well, probably because she died too.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Oh. That's really good. Good call, Connor. Yeah. You're the fucking man, Connor. This guy has no strip clubs. Never been to one, but would be down. You were trying to go in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:54:46 I've gone in. No, I was not trying to go. I threw it out there. And I was making jokes, yeah, for sure. I'm not trying to go. I wasn't trying to go. I was just saying I want to go. We should go.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I was looking up Ubers. I was just yelling at everybody. When are we going? Listen, I'm a bits guy. All I did was Google what time it opened. No. We went to whatever place I was to get dumplings. And it was right down the street from the dump.
Starting point is 00:55:11 All I did was drive to the parking lot and sit there and say, hey, wouldn't it be funny if we went in? You got this, Connor. You can do it. No. You were talking to like the horny crews, you, Che and Shane from PM. I didn't know. I talked about that.
Starting point is 00:55:24 That's the horny crew? That's the strip-clone. The horny boys. Maybe throw memes in there. If we're putting a horny crew together at Barstool, T-Bops has got to be in it. T-Bob is Mr. Horny. He's the horniest guy we got. What else is going on in college football?
Starting point is 00:55:39 They're in Lincoln. Well, I think Florida Auburn is a remarkable SEC matchup. Two new coaches that are trying to figure it out. One of them is going to be 3-0. I think Florida, if they win, could be 6-0. They get to pick the bones of Ole Miss next week in the swamp. I think Mississippi State, South Carolina, It's fascinating.
Starting point is 00:55:56 You got Camario Taylor against Lenore Sellers, a guy who is currently experiencing all the hype in the world and a guy that experienced it last year. And I think the guy that I respect South Carolina. I think I'm scared of it. I think it's going to be tough. They have a lot of dudes. Tonight, you got Texas Tech in Houston.
Starting point is 00:56:12 If Houston were to beat Texas Tech, the Big 12 is... Wide open. Our pets' heads are falling off. Like the Big 12 is wide open, and we have no idea which direction it's going to go. And then tomorrow we find out basically in week three, who plays Miami for the ACC championship.
Starting point is 00:56:26 It's SMU at Louisville. Those are clearly the second and third best teams in that conference. Although I'd give a nod to Virginia, they might be able to make noise later too. But yeah, whoever wins that game is probably going to be the sacrificial lamb to Miami
Starting point is 00:56:41 or giving a shot to beat Miami in the conference championship game. So I think you've got some sneaky big-time stuff big-time stuff out there. Maybe not like the blockbuster games, but this is... No, the Big Ten just sat out this week. They're all playing like Indiana are cowards.
Starting point is 00:56:57 But the SEC is playing good football. The Big 12 is playing good football. But, yeah, next week is when it really gets going. Next week we really get started. Next week we got Oregon, USC. Florida, Oman, I'd have to look. But we got a shit ton of good, good, good football next week. Love that.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Absolutely love that. You know what else I love? Michigan, Iowa, maybe. Yeah. You know what else I love, Connor? What is that? Sport clips. Oh.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Love sport clips. Classic rookie mistake not going to Sport Clips haircuts. Guys come in looking like they've just been sacked by a 250-pound linebacker, but walk out looking like a first-round pick. Sport Clips stylists have the playbook for a clean cut. They've mastered the X's and O's of men's hair. You get the kind of haircut that speaks for itself. You know the one where guys give you a nod of approval,
Starting point is 00:57:39 a nod that says, I see you with your first team all pro-level haircut. You must have gone to Sport Clips. And it makes sense because Sport Clips is a place designed for guys to win and walk out with a haircut ready for the highlight reel. Sport Clips, sport your look. choose your time, choose your stylist, check in online today at Sport Clips. We are doing our Sport Clips MVP of the week, Brandon.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Do you have a nominee for MVP of the week in the world of sports? So I'm going to do it. I'm trying to think Josh Allen was incredible. It might be our last time in the regular season. We can do it. Can I just say PCA? Please. I would love for you to say PCA.
Starting point is 00:58:17 I believe now might become a seven-time winner of this award. I think so, yeah. But he's been incredible this year. Now, I'm not a cup. fan so I can say it. You can agree with it if you like. I say PCA. I think he's the most electric player in baseball and he keeps having these two.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Does he lead the league in two homer games? It feels like he has more two homer games and he has one homer games. It does seem that way. Yeah. Like if he hits one, he hits two. But anyway, I like PCA. Now there's a lot of great great athletes out there that we could give it to. Yeah. I'll allow PCA. Sure. Just one time.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Just one more, one time for for old times sake. We have done it about seven times this year, but he's been incredible. He's been very, very good to the point that the haters, have the haters come around? I don't pay attention to the PCA. Oh, I don't think they're possibly the PCA haters at this point. Yeah. There were a lot of PCA haters. I guess what you're saying is has White Sox Dave has White Sox Dave come around? What are they saying? What are the haters saying? I think White Sox Dave has come around in the sense that there is a very deep respect for him. Not necessarily
Starting point is 00:59:22 that he likes PCA, but he recognizes, oh, this guy's damn good. Yeah. And could terrorize my franchise for the next decade. Yeah. Seven, two, home run games this year leads to Major League Baseball. That's, see? Seven, two home run games. I noticed things.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Most ever is 11. PCA, your Sport Clips MVP of the week. Choose your time. Choose your stylist. Check in online today at Sport Clips. So we have, uh, what's the story in the NFL? The Steelers Patriots game is sneaky big, right? Vikings Bears.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Yeah, let's take a look. So it's Panthers Falcons. Falcons are just rough, rough football team. Bengals Texans, interesting, Brandon. Bengals Texans? Yeah, I mean, the Bengals got their win, but the Bucks were very sloppy,
Starting point is 01:00:05 and the Texans started 0 and 3 last year. Do they do that shit again? Brown's Bucks, that's Baker against Deshaun. So I'm looking at a game that has my attention. Yeah. And you're going to think I'm crazy, but... I know what it is. There's no way you're.
Starting point is 01:00:20 know. I know exactly where it is. It's Packers Jets. It's Packers Jets. Yeah. It's Packers Jets, Brandon. Because a week ago, we were doing this. We were looking at the schedule and you're like, point out some games that stand out to you. And I said Titans Jets. And I knew it wouldn't sound good coming out of my mouth.
Starting point is 01:00:35 But the argument that I made is that both of these teams coming into this year are in a position where they feel like things are going to start to get a little better. This is going to be our year. We start to turn the corner a little bit. They played each other and the Titans learn quickly. This is not their year. No. Titans are out.
Starting point is 01:00:49 Get the Titans out here. Meanwhile, the Jets are feeling pretty good about themselves. They're playing a Packers team that, boy, just absolutely collapsed against the Vikings. Shit down their leg. Feels like as big of a must win in week two. Packers that you can get. If the Packers are 0 and 2 with the loss of the Vikings and the Jets. Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:09 And then they've got the lions. I got the bears. I got everybody coming. There's really no such thing as a must win in week two in the NFL. But this to me is as close. So when do a must win? Do you think must win start in week three? Like if you're 0 and 2, you can.
Starting point is 01:01:20 You can't go on. You can't possibly go one and three. It might even be week four. I don't know. I don't know, but I think it becomes a must win when it's the fucking jets. When it's the fucking Jets, that's my point. If the Jets pull this off and they beat the Packers, who are a franchise that has been great, one of the best franchise in the NFL, but not only that, this was a team that did have aspirations,
Starting point is 01:01:37 the Packers, I mean, and you go in and you start your season 2 and O with a win over the Packers. The Jets fans are really going to be feeling good. I'm looking at must win watch. And I think if I think Packers are up there because they're playing the fucking Jets. Yeah. Patriots at home against the Steelers might be teetering towards must-win, right? Yeah, yeah. It could be, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Broncos don't need to go O-N-2. Oh, no, I see another must-winn-2. Broncos, going O-N-2, it stink, but like the context being you lose to the Jaguars and Chiefs, it's not like... I think I have a bigger must-win. Go ahead. It's the Chargers, right? The Chargers against the, the Raiders lose at home. If the Chargers start the season by losing to the Cardinals and the Raiders back-to-back, that is a...
Starting point is 01:02:20 I think that's Jim Harbaugh. What the fuck are you doing? He's on the hot seat immediately. Yeah, this is, that is the biggest must win. Chargers, number one, lock it in, biggest must win. I guess the, is the Rams? Are the Rams must win? Primetime standalone game.
Starting point is 01:02:36 The Rams feel like a veteran team who could lose a couple and then be fine. Yeah, but the NFL isn't structured to where you can like kind of coast. This isn't like a, this isn't an NBA team where it's like, let's just get to the playoffs. And, you know, who cares of where the five seat. You can't really coast through the regular season. Candy Connor? I don't think so. Right?
Starting point is 01:02:53 I don't think so. I don't know if you can afford to punt on. I mean, it does seem to be if you're defending the Rams and the performance they put up in week one, you would say they pun it. And they just said, fuck that game. We don't care about going to Australia. I don't know if you can afford to punt on more than one. Yeah, you're probably right.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Although that would be. I don't know if you can have the attitude of Lake. We'll figure it out. We're playing the long game. We'll turn it on later. Who would be? benefit from a win the most. Who has the best chance to state?
Starting point is 01:03:22 Because the Giants winning on the road against the Rams and going two and oh. Well, that was kind of my argument with the Jets. I think the Jets... Yeah, you're right. The Jets become like an actual respectable game at that point. If they can knock off the Packers. Yeah, the Giants, I think it might be the New York teams.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Might be both the New York team. Now, if you were a songwriter and you had to put to... You were a Colts fan and you were playing the Chiefs this weekend, you had to put together a catchy jingle to capture it. Oh, no. How would you do it? Oh, no. Some, you're looking for some imagery of, uh...
Starting point is 01:03:52 I'm just looking, if you were writing a clever little, if you had one line to write about playing the Chiefs and you had to put it to music, what would it sound like? Can I get an example? Because Mark doesn't seem to be getting it. Can I get an example? This is our goals. This is our team.
Starting point is 01:04:09 I have an idea of what I would do. I hope Seth doesn't do it. Don't do it, Seth. Don't do it. For the shoot, don't say it. Chiefs, let's kick their... Okay. Oh.
Starting point is 01:04:29 That's good old, that's vintage set. We're so fucking back, dude. That is classic. He worded me in the preseason with the overproduction. And I will say last week, it was last week, right? At the choir. That was good use of overproduction, but I was worried that, like, we were entering this new era of Seth. He went back to the basics.
Starting point is 01:04:47 I think... I went back to the basics. Well, you say that. I think the internet bullied him into it. into it. He had a tweet, man, like, I hear you guys. I'm going back to the old. Yeah. So there were definitely people out there that were fucking assholes about it. Yeah. I would, are you pointing? No, no, no, I'm not. I'm saying. I'm not. I am, I'm willing to go on whatever journey Seth wants to take me on. Sure. Along the way, I will say that, like, some of the flowers are more
Starting point is 01:05:10 beautiful than the others as I'm walking on this path that you're taking me down, but I'll go wherever you take me, Seth. I'm not alleging that you did it. You are, you are simply a Seth, you're a Seth fan who reacts to the Seth catalog as it comes about. I like whatever Seth is serving up. I'm going to clean my plate. Whatever he serves up, I'm going to clean my plate.
Starting point is 01:05:28 It's just I might eat some parts of the plate a little quicker than others. That's all. You understand what I'm saying, Conner. I get it. Surely a guy like you can. I think that Seth, one thing about him is that he's great when it comes to feedback
Starting point is 01:05:41 and he takes it in, figures out what's best for the content. If he says that the feedback is not in line with what he wants to do, he'll keep doing what he wants to do, but there are other times where the feedback is warranted. Sure.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Let's kick their air heads. It's good. Well, after the whole Matt's first basement situation last night. That's my first situation. Well, hey, Connor, you've probably recorded this before. I hope so.
Starting point is 01:06:05 I hope so. That was my only thing. Connor. That was my only thing. Why? That's my... Nobody in America. That was my immediate thought,
Starting point is 01:06:12 and I felt terrible. There's not a person in America that was making that connection. Correct. Okay. I'm glad I'm in the minority there. And might be the only Yeah, but now you just put it out in the world.
Starting point is 01:06:20 No, no, no, I didn't need to do that. I didn't need to do that. I want you to do that every week. I want you to do the, listen, I'm not trying to cancel, Seth. No, I do not mean to go that. I do wonder if. That was just the first thought that popped into my head, and I should not have said it. Run. I apologize.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Can I? Given the political climate of southern Greece right now for Seth to make that comment about it. I would love for you to do that. I'll try it. for you to find a way. I'll try, I guess. New segment from Connor Griffin. I'm not trying to cancel it, but.
Starting point is 01:06:56 Could I... I'm sorry, could I... I... I'm sorry, could I... Could I pivot it to something else then? Because I do feel bad for saying that. Are you guys aware of how much fucking money is in the world? It's insane how much money.
Starting point is 01:07:11 What does that mean? So, not to bring Jalen Hertz back up again, but there was just a story I saw where he, he paid for an HVAC unit for a high school. And when I saw that, I was like, oh, okay. Like, I guess... For a high school? Yeah, I was like, yeah, I guess...
Starting point is 01:07:26 That's going to be... It was $600,000. Yeah. But I saw it originally, I was like, oh, that's probably $10K, whatever. I was like, oh, shit, no, it's actually $600,000 $600,000. If that was for every single high school... So he's from Texas, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:39 I can tell. I can't want to leave him to do that. They're over like 100,000 high schools. or not high schools So what are you saying If one person paid... If every school needed a $600,000 HVAC unit
Starting point is 01:07:57 Uh-huh That's over like $70 billion. Are you aware of how taxes work? Yes. Property taxes and whatnot. I'm not saying that each school has like one donor buying the entire fucking H-FAC unit. I'm just saying
Starting point is 01:08:10 an H-FAC unit for a school is $600,000. And that's not the only thing you need. No, the entire world just... It's a round. How much money do you think that exists in the world? How much money you think are... Just do America.
Starting point is 01:08:24 How much money in America? In America? How much money we got in America? Ten trillion? Well, there's like three companies alone that are worth like combined six, so... Let me see. How much, I'm going to Google that. How much money?
Starting point is 01:08:41 How much money is there? How much money is there out there? The world's spendable money is estimated at roughly 100 to 144. trillion USD. That's insane. And wealth reaches approximately... Why is that insane? That's so much money.
Starting point is 01:08:57 We made them... We made them... What is he doing right now? It was one of those things that totally blew my mind. I was like, oh my God. If we're... For a single HVAC unit in one high school in this one town... It costs $600,000.
Starting point is 01:09:12 You know how big high schools are? I know, but I'm just saying... If I bought an HVAC unit for my house, for whatever square feet, it would be... I don't know, 20 grand? Yeah. High school is, is, you know how big high schools are? I know.
Starting point is 01:09:26 How many rooms have to be in there? What do you think this building costs, Connor? Well, this was, yeah, as a total, what was it, 20? This is like an elementary school size. We probably have to have a hundred grand for our age rack, I would assume. At least. There's so much money. What's your definition of money?
Starting point is 01:09:41 Do you subscribe to the M0 or the M1? Yeah, economic theory of money. Yeah. Okay. Damn good questions. Yeah. While you're thinking about that, I don't know the value of money, but I know the value of Rhesus. I know the value of delicious candy, great snacks.
Starting point is 01:09:59 Just a handful of Rhesus like this right here. This is worth gold to me. This is better than money. And if you're, you know, on a road trip, you're stopping at the gas station. Yeah, that's smart. I'll tell you what doesn't taste good is cash in your mouth. No, no. What does taste delicious?
Starting point is 01:10:14 Reesis, try this, Connor. Yeah. Well, you didn't catch it, Connor. He wanted to get you to, here, do you need one? There you go. Why are you so jumpy? Huh, all right, all right. Reces is the official candy partner of Barstall Sports.
Starting point is 01:10:31 Connor! That wasn't me! Connor, what? I didn't throw that. I didn't throw that. I'm doing an ad. Nice. Connor, stop kissing him.
Starting point is 01:10:47 I'm throwing the Ebo. But I'm trying. It. Connor, stop catching him. I'm doing it with an Ebo. Connor, catch the marshmallow in your mouth. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Yes. For real. There you go. If you catch this marshmallow in your mouth, we'll never throw another one at you. Separate the marshmallow from the chocolate in mid-air and catch.
Starting point is 01:11:05 Yeah. That's gone. Rises is the official candy partner of martial sports. Go get Rieces wherever you shop. Where did that open one go? Down by the door. You want me to toss it? No.
Starting point is 01:11:18 Over by the door. No. I do love the marcemsms. Marshall. It's my favorite one. Somebody throw a 151 UPC box in the middle of there? How did it end up all the way over there? T.J., did you throw that? Because that box was over by you. Yeah, I was trying to do a promo.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Sorry. Are you ready, Connor? Wait a minute. For what? The Pokemon video coming out after this? Yeah. You ready, Connor? You had it! That was a perfect throw! It's a... He has soft teeth.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Yes, that's the thing that's constantly lingering my mind. It's a... You want to put your mouth card in? Maybe, yeah. I don't have it with me today. It's a point. It's a performance issue. It's a performance issue. I get anxiety when it comes time to...
Starting point is 01:11:59 25-minute Pokemon. Between now and the act, right? We spent $1,000. Our leftover money from the scavenger hunt at the National, we bought a 151 UPC and opened it. It's empty. Oh, okay. And so immediately after this,
Starting point is 01:12:16 25-minute video, opening that and showing you what you got. Now, this was pre-you determining that squirtle was your favorite... That's right. This was pre-square. This was on the jerk. The journey. Yeah, yeah. So you could see the early stages of me arriving at Squirrel.
Starting point is 01:12:29 Okay. Maybe. I don't know. I actually don't remember when we did this. This is the official, I think this is the official start of your Pokemon journey. I think so. Catch them all. Yep. To be the very best. No one else ever was. Should we put more up there? By the way, I got a bunch of basic bitch. Ratatata.
Starting point is 01:12:47 He's up there. How far will you travel to catch them all? Polywag is a, that's an OG1, right? Yeah. Slow poke. Slow poke. is definitely an OG guy. I know that.
Starting point is 01:12:58 Are you all into Pokemon separately? I think I'm not, right? I'm not. I think the newer ones suck. I just like... Oh! I didn't even realize I wore this, Mark. I talked to you about it before the show.
Starting point is 01:13:10 My squirrel. Yeah, I also talked to you about it. But I got off TikTok in like 2020. Ybo, we had a conversation about it. That's crazy. DeFuck? I didn't even realize I wore that today. You all know that big changes are afoot over
Starting point is 01:13:22 over in your cultural regions. I've heard rumors. What's going on? You don't know? Oh, we'd be getting a new one? I might be getting you a new couch. I might have bought you a new couch. And by new, it means...
Starting point is 01:13:34 And by bought? Very farted in, and my bought, I mean, moved from over there. Yeah. Yep. Hey, speaking of changes around these parts, Sam Vassini. Wow. Sam Vassini has joined the Barstool Enterprises. The fucking Pirateship.
Starting point is 01:13:49 He's going to be working with Rassillo. Yeah, it's huge get for us. Sam Vassini's absolutely. He's way overqualified to be working here. The best draft guy in the biz, Brandon, the best NBA draft guy. He does more than NBA draft. He just does NBA coverage in general.
Starting point is 01:14:05 He's very, very good at basketball coverage, and I'm excited to have him here. Him and Rasilla are going to be incredible together. Do you want to... Hell of a... Hell of a... Hell of a combo. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:14:16 You'll have to get down with Vasini every now and then, right? I'm sure he'll come on your shows. Yeah, he'll come on. I'm going to do his show as often as I can. We do... When mostly Hoops fires back up, We do it live before this show, and I do think it's like 2 a.m. Vassini's time. He lives in Australia.
Starting point is 01:14:33 What? So I don't know how we're going to... He lives in Australia? Yeah. You said that last week. I think I thought you were kidding. No, he lives in Melbourne, yeah. Where? Nielben. Me, me, you've been. Thanks. But yeah, Vesini. How about that, Brandon? That's big. Huge get for us. It's interesting because we take turns in either hiring some of the most professional, awesome, amazing
Starting point is 01:14:55 media personalities out there and then green brick. That's right. It's like one for one. Now Vasini's hired, so that's the, now what's next? We hire people away from the New York Times and then we hire guys who get stuck in Blythe, California, because they can't drive a car. That's right. And then I need help get it, yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:14 The can't, that are currently staying in the Super 8 motel in Oxford, Mississippi. Yes, yes. And there's really no in between. Can I, he might actually have bed bugs. Oh, he has bedbugs. There's no doubt. There's no doubt he has. Have those in Australia?
Starting point is 01:15:28 Green Greene, Greg. Also, way worse in Australia, I'm sure. Does this lock in, uh, mostly sports Australia? I think we have to do home. Dude, most of the sports are around. You want to go to Australia? I've been wanting to go to Australia. Australia, that'd be awesome.
Starting point is 01:15:41 We want to do a show. I want to do a show from Austria, but I want to, like, figure out a way to make it just a random Tuesday. And we, we do the, can we, can we? Yeah, we do the Rams travel schedule. Yeah, Monday after the show, we go straight. to the airport, fly down, do a show Tuesday from Australia, fly right back, Wednesday,
Starting point is 01:15:58 we're back here. And we do a show Wednesday from here. And everybody's just like, what the fuck was that? They just... They were sluggish. They were dragging a little bit. Why did they do a random show in Australia on Tuesday? We don't know. We do not know. Would we do that in Sydney
Starting point is 01:16:14 or... What's that? Everything, everything in Meobin? Yeah. And Perth. We could do it in Pth. Brisbane? Perth. Everything I hear about Australia. is that Melbourne is the cooler city. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:28 Now, everything I hear about Australia is from San Vasini, who lives in Melbourne. I'm an Adelaide guy. I imagine he's feeding me some propaganda, but Sydney is apparently not where you want to go. Not that Sydney's bad, but I think Melbourne is just like kind of the hidden gym. That's what I've been told. You know, that's where they do the Australian Open, the tennis thing? I don't know that. And I know that because it's a little highlights it has Melbourne written on the court.
Starting point is 01:16:51 That's the only reason. I think I've always assumed, you know, know what I've always assumed. I've assumed everything that happens in Australia, Sydney. I always assumed they had matches in Melbourne and Sydney. Oh, yeah. That it was the Australian open at multiple locations, but I guess it is just at Melbourne. It's just in Melbourne.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Melbourne. Technically speaking. Perth. Perth. The shortest flight to get us from Chicago to Australia. I mean, we'd have to take it connecting. But we could get there in 20 hours. So you could do it.
Starting point is 01:17:19 That's not a knife. But it's like... You could fly... We'd have to just... 20 hours in air or 20 hours like spot you know what I'm saying like would we land There's one stop and in total it would be I'm going to say some controversial I think crocodile Dundee too
Starting point is 01:17:36 is better than crocodile Dundee too is better I think it's one of the rare sequels that was a little bit better Which one is the one that Matthew Barry wrote? That was three I believe he wrote three That was back in Los Angeles or something Which I don't know why crocodile Dundee He had three movies One was in New York one was in Los Angeles
Starting point is 01:17:52 One was in Australia Yeah I would have had him in Australia all three times, I think. But that's just me. See, he was an Australian, but he was in New York. It was crazy. That's crazy. How would an Australian even survive in New York?

Starting point is 01:18:49 Eliminated. Is gone. Holman. Pullman. Pullman, Washington, Oxford, Ohio. I've never been to Pullman. I will say, I haven't either. I've never been to Pullman.
Starting point is 01:19:00 So can't speak on Pullman, Oxford. Fantastic College Town. I'm fine with that. I'm fine with that region breaking the way it did. College Station and College Station continues to baffle me. Go Clemson. I had a great time in College Station the one time I went there. But, boy.
Starting point is 01:19:16 The logo kind of looks like Smokey Bear. Not exactly a town that I'm itching to move to, College Station. I have, not breaking news out of, oh, we're still going to do this. Yeah, Bozeman,
Starting point is 01:19:29 Bozman's fantastic. Is that a college town? It's just an amazing town by itself. That's what I don't know. I had that, I had that debate with myself over Boulder. Yeah. But then I,
Starting point is 01:19:38 I realized, I said that Madison's my favorite college town. I don't know. I'm all over the place. Madison's like actually a city. Madison is like twice the size of Boulder. I was saying Madison is more of a college town than Boulder,
Starting point is 01:19:49 which makes no sense whatsoever. I don't, I don't really know. It's just a feel thing to me. Boulder feels like it's not it has more going on. Same with Bozeman, Madison. I don't really. I like Blacksburg a lot. Yeah. Um, Iowa City is where Iowa is. So fuck it. But can we get an all Iowa final? Could be. Imagine. Oh, Lord. Could you imagine. Oh, there we go. They're on the same side of the bracket. Iowa versus Iowa Final Four would be. Mm-hmm. Would be something. So there we have it. ID verification required to use a balance. The Venmo MasterCard is. issued by the Bancourt Bank N.A. Breaking news out of Oxford. Bring up Tate's latest tweet, which was 43 seconds ago when I just saw it.
Starting point is 01:20:31 This has a college basketball twist to it. Oh, really? Yeah. So I believe... I believe Chris Beard and their practice today had a special guest at practice. Don't show the words because it just showed me the video. Special guest at practice, and we know Ben Mince is down in Oxford, so check this out. and trust or respect from the outside.
Starting point is 01:20:54 You know what I'm saying? I sure to be a guy to give us some millions of dollars and stuff and there's a life of the team coming in the locker. I appreciate him. Unless I know and expect it, right? So Pete Dammels here today. He's one of the, um... The general gist was,
Starting point is 01:21:09 we don't just let anybody come into the locker room. We have a special guest is Pete Dammle. And Mencey's sitting right there. Mencey's. Yeah. That's funny. You have to be, you have to be a big deal to get in this locker room. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:21 That's meant to it Connor, you're getting the college basketball fear I saw you, I overheard as I was walking through the halls. I heard you talking about the new Ohio State commitment. No, that wasn't, that wasn't me. Oh. Oh, was that, was that you? Huh.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Yeah. Top 20 recruit, right? Yeah. I thought I heard you saying his name over and over. What was his name? I swore. I swore yesterday. I read it on Twitter yesterday.
Starting point is 01:21:50 Wait a second. Wait a second. I could have sworn I heard Connor. Okay. Somebody Google his name. Hmm. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:22:10 For the podcast listeners, Connor. D-E-N-G-S-A-N-G-O-R. Well, the... Dang. Probably gore. Gore. I would assume they're in a silent. Dang, Gore.
Starting point is 01:22:24 Yeah. Yeah. That sounds like Ben Gore sounds like a Pokemon run. That was just a little joke at Conner's expense. Folks, we don't do that often on the show, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The Eastern Michigan linebackers leaning a little too hard into it. Yeah. Like a little way too hard into it.
Starting point is 01:22:41 It's really making me uncomfortable. Yeah. Let's do the grid because we've got to end early so we can have time for that video. Pokemon. Pokemon. Can I accountability is, I'm putting my hand up. I blew the grid yesterday. I also blew the grid yesterday. How'd you blow the grid yesterday?
Starting point is 01:22:56 Oh, yeah, you blew it. Yeah, it wasn't going to count anyway. I threw the whole vibe with the room off. All right. Tavs Pistons. 10,000 rebounds career. LeBron. LeBron.
Starting point is 01:23:08 LeBron, top right? Yeah. The blonde game. Shack. Yes. LeBron James. Now. Kevin Garnett.
Starting point is 01:23:16 It is a question of do we play Shaq. I know it sounds insane. I might be overthinking it. Bell Russell. Should we start? Didn't we have something similar before where we were, it was Shaq for the Celtics? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:32 Am I crazy? Oh, boy. We were arguing about Russell or Gardner and then it was just Shaq the whole time. Does that mean we're doing Dwight Howard for the Hawks? I think that's the best play. He has 10,000 rebounds
Starting point is 01:23:43 because some of these short careers. I know. Okay. Dwight Howard was around for a while. Let's do the teams, guys. Let's do, all right. Clipper Hawks. Clippers, Cavs is James Hardin.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Yes. James Hardin, top middle. Cavs pissed. Cavs. Pistons? Super Celtics would be Paul George, but he hasn't played yet. Cavs Pistons.
Starting point is 01:24:11 What, you could go, Rajan Rondo. Oh, Cavs Pistons is Bill Lambert. Is that too far back? Yeah, I think that's too far. It's pretty obvious. I assume that Bill Lambere only played for the bad boy pistons and no one else.
Starting point is 01:24:22 He was drafted by the Cavs played many years. Did. He wasn't a bad boy. Rondo for Clippers, Celtics? Is there anybody better? Yeah, yeah. Paul Pierce. Or Paul Pierce.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Oh, yeah. Paul Pierce. That was almost a disaster, I think. Paul Pierce. It's got to be Paul Pierce, right? I think so. Okay. Did Chauncy Billups get to the Celtics?
Starting point is 01:24:49 Yes. Oh, Chauncy. Choncy is middle left. I think Choncy's middle left. I think Choncy's going to be mid. He definitely played on both those teams. Oh, fuck. T.J. is kind of quick on the trigger.
Starting point is 01:25:02 Josh Smith, Piston Hawk? Yes. That's the number one. Yeah, Josh Smith. Gotta be. That's not a Teague? Teague ever get on this thing? Teague is,
Starting point is 01:25:12 there is a Teague to play. He is on there. Yeah. But I, I'm like you on Joe. I don't think Teague. I don't think Teague played for the pistons. Why you got us in point five, T.J. Josh Smith.
Starting point is 01:25:27 Josh Smith. Josh Smith. Yeah. Now he's going the other one. Yeah. Right. Oh. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:25:36 Oh, no. Clippers. My Clippers. is obviously Spudweb. Or is it? Dominique. Dominique, Dominique, right? Dominic.
Starting point is 01:25:48 Spudweb went to the Kings. It's Dominic. Dominic Wilkins. Lord. We're not even breaking it. Joe Jones. All right. Is Dwight?
Starting point is 01:26:00 Is Dwight? Or Motumbo? I think, I think Shack Howard. I think, I don't know. I don't, I feel like we've been there. Go Bill Russell. We're not going to win anyway.
Starting point is 01:26:13 Go Bill Russell. No, go Shaq. Go Bill Russell. I want to test out the Shack. I want to test out the Celtics. I want to test out the shack. I feel like I'm getting deja vu. Let's test the shack there.
Starting point is 01:26:19 We've done this exact thing before with rebounds and Celtics. That might be a good number for that one. And then Dwight Howard? Yeah, Dwight Howard. And I'm the only one actually saying the Cavap Pistons, so I've said Lambert, if y'all can beat it being right now. Caroslavert play for the Pistons. Did, uh, did fucking, did Drummond?
Starting point is 01:26:40 I think Carresterner. Yes. Kerosiver did. Yeah. Andre Drummond. Drummond. Drummond. Drummond.
Starting point is 01:26:45 Drummond. Drummond. Drummond? Drummond. Yeah, you want to roll with that? Just throw on. Do Andre Drummond. This isn't the worst I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:26:57 We have a shot. I think we have a shot. Ben Wallace, dude. Oh, Blake Griffin. It was Bill Russell. All right. Shee Wallace. It was a double Wallace.
Starting point is 01:27:11 DeKimbe. It was DeKimbe. Double Wallace. We should have Blake Griffin. Fuck. Bad effort. Blake Griffin is kind of surprising. I don't think it was a bad effort.
Starting point is 01:27:22 I think it was a tough grid. That was a tough grid. That's a tough grid. Although that should tell us. Bill Russell is the answer. If it's Bill Russell. But that's a good data point to have it. Now we learn.
Starting point is 01:27:33 We go. Yeah. All right. That's the show. Watch the Pokemon video. Have a great weekend. We'll be back on Monday. See you.
Starting point is 01:27:40 That's a ball's done.
