hey they were like they were looking to make a splash they told me and i'm like All right. We can do that. So, I mean, I had some pictures taken. But like I said, just didn't. I mean, like they, I guess they got City Swinney after. I don't know. I mean, they're me with a burger.

I mean, that's always good. I mean, nothing says America and No big and trading more than a burger and an actual real-life picture of what John Heslop looks like. A real American eating a burger with a no-big tattoo. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that no-big tattoo now, but whatever. No regrets. Except it's no big, so it's perfect. Yeah. It's one of those vibes where I think we're in a good spot. So, yeah. And then we got, you know, Newton bouncing back and forth in the studio here. But, Slop, before we get going, any, I don't know, any announcements, thoughts where, you know, what you got going on? I'm going to, I'm probably going to win the, the big splash contest. Oh, really? This year in Survivor, I've never really done Survivor.

I only give a shit about Survivor, but now I kind of do. I'm, I've caught Survivor fever. I was doing the touchdown Survivor last year. We're doing that again on Splash. So there is that. Yeah, that's going to be good. That's always good. 50K to the winner.

I like the winner take all. I do like that. I think that's very funny because, like, you could get second place and literally get nothing i like that that's that's america guys you don't you're the winner you don't you know i'm saying that that's it your first year last that's awesome yep literally literally so um but yeah i'm also in the thousand dollar one and then the big splash one the hundred dollar one that three million or 21 million you imagine dude it's like christmas time and you're like dude i think i'm gonna win 21 million dollars so hopefully that happened so that's that's my best

Like, you could use them later about like, look, look, look, guys, I'm staying alive. It doesn't matter. I have it all mapped out. We're good. I got

every week already picked, Connor. And I might even go on it. I might even go on that and never like waiver on that. I also love but I won't do that. I love how like Splash had like eight double weeks or something like that. And then everyone was like, Guys, like, no one can win this.

And they're like, oh, okay, yeah, you're right. So then they made it like six double weeks or five double weeks, something like that. Yeah. So week nine, just so we all know, Seahawks, Rams. There's no chance that loses. No chance. No chance. Yeah, what are you, who are you picking?

No, no, no, those are the two because it's week nine. It's two picks. Yep. So that's the first one. So I can get us through the first one. I mean, obviously you can't use the Seahawks and Rams until then. But. Yeah.

or after, but it doesn't matter. We just need it for week nine. So, yeah, no, I'm, I think Splash is the shit, dude. Like, they are, that is so fun. Like, I'm on that site all the time now, which is crazy. Because, like I said, I wasn't really that into it over the years. It's like your typical, like, back of the day, like the office contest. You know what I mean?

Those are fun, don't get me wrong. But then when fantasy comes around, then to sports betting, and it gets all convoluted to where something kind of has to go. And that was the first thing to go. Those office moves, I'm kind of back on them, man. Like that's a fun, fun sweat every week. So I can't wait. I did some Survivor.

I did some pick five against a spread. I mean, your touchdown survivor pool, not in any loser survivor, but that would be fun too. That looks fun too. Yeah, it looks super fun. I didn't have enough money. They got me. Like, good the, it's just,

It gets too expensive. Like something, you can't just play them all. You know what I mean? And I really wanted to get in the big one. So it's like, I don't like the loser one next year. Next year I'm definitely getting the lose one. Those filled fast too. So like people like that.

I mean, well, because it just feels a lot easier to lose because we all, you know what especially if you're a normal person, you know, it's like it feels a lot easier to lose than win. But I would bet that it gets very challenging towards the end. Yeah. No, it's got to be awesome.

queued up like that and what I'm about to say this is not great um I'm going to go with jacuvious marks also known as woody marks under seven and a half carries week one against the buffalo bills all off season all off season we got reports that it was going to be david montgomery's backfield after we saw whaty marks average 3.6 yards per carry last year in a featured role we saw the Texans go out and sign David Montgomery for $10 million guaranteed, $16 million for two years. And then, like a couple weeks, like a week before week one or maybe two weeks before week one, you get some beat writer speculation that they think it's going to be a 50-50 timeshare. Completely unfounded.

Just out of nowhere, pure beat writer speculation. Most of the people that I trust basically say this is David Montgomery's backfield. Say that this is going to be almost all David Montgomery. and then we'll see a little sprinkle, a little sprinkle of Woody. And so seven and a half carries, eight carries. I mean, we're talking about two carries a quarter. I don't even know if he sees three or four, to be honest.

I think that this is way under. And especially, you're playing the bills. Like the chance that they just fall behind a touchdown or the last like 10 minutes of the game that are just throwing the ball, pretty reasonable. Like, I know the spread doesn't necessarily reflect that, but that's, I think, very much the range outcomes here. So, yeah, I think that this spot here for Woody,

like I think we're going to look back on this line and be like this was just a ridiculous line. That's hot. Slav, did you hear the rest of what he said after under? I stopped lifting after he said he had a Woody. I was like, I'm good. My favorite part of what he had to say. Isn't there something there?

My bags were packed on the David Montgomery stuff all summer long. So Woody taking base down carries would be surprising. I think the number is probably kind of fair, but I also understand where like you want to just draw a line in the sand and be like, yeah, I'm calling BS on the beats and we'll see what happens because I do think probably like eight probably be a ceiling, right? So that's kind of what you're looking at here. So I think it's a good play. Like also too, just real quick tangent on beat writers. I got sent a report from someone. It was like a Broncos B

reporter and it was like R.J. Harvey is a bad fantasy pick. That was the headline of what I was sent. And then I clicked it and I was like, because people like, oh, RJ Harvey's done. And I'm like, what does that even mean? So I clicked the article. And the quote from the beat writer is that don't draft RJ Harvey in your fantasy leagues because he's going to be used like Alvin Camara. And I'm like, Alvin Camero was one of the greatest fantasy football like assets of all time for a couple of years. Like I like, I'm just like, what are we talking about? Like I don't know if it was misaggregated.

If the beat writer just had never played fantasy and like didn't know what that actually meant. I think there's like I don't know a handful of really good beatwriters like the Nick Under's hills of the world the Jordan Rannans like there's a couple of awesome ones who do a pretty good job of like I don't know speculating they report and they speculate accurately they're like this guy's gonna be involved this guy's not going to be involved like Newton how on earth did we not know that Romeo Dobbs is like wider receiver 4 beans aren't always good they're not thinking about that stuff always either right like

like that's like a I mean it was like a free under if we knew that he was the wider Super 4 at like 30 yards and three and a half catches like that's crazy to me um so i don't know i just i'm extremely skeptical of that kind of stuff and you know if there's any b-writers listening i apologize you grind um but you know let's work on make it's more actionable info out of that yeah yeah no it's a good call like i said i think you know i have like a little under nine like eight and change but like you know that very much could be a little generous i don't think there's a lot of wiggle room on top of that so i like it i like it i like it All right, Slop. Let's get it started, baby. What we got? First one of the year.

All right, we're going to go to touchdowns for me. For quarterback passing touchdowns. I'm a big strikeout guy in baseball. So I figured there's probably some, I don't know, crossover there. There is none. But I will tell you, I do like the market. Brock Party last night, a lot of people were saying he wasn't going to get two. I was saying he was going to get three. Guess what? Yeah, three. So if he can do it, why the hell can't do it?

Why the hell can't Joe Burrow throw three touchdowns on Sunday? It's plus 185 at Novig right now, which is crazy because you look across the market and you're looking at a bunch of 140s, 150s. I mean, I'm not going to call out any books specifically, but they're not even close. Like, there's nobody close. So definitely do this at Novig. But why would Burrow not be able to throw three touchdowns? It's the box threat. I mean, you can't run on them, all right?

I don't think you're going to be able to run the bucks this year. We'll see if they can, but I don't think Cincinnati really has the capability to do so anyways. But also, too, they seem to have an attitude. And people are saying their defense is better. The Bengals, I don't think they are. I think the box are going to score on them just like last year. Maybe not as bad, but we're going to get a shootout type game, like a baby shootout, like week one type shootout.

Three touchdowns, dude. Joe Burrow. Come on, guys. At plus 185, sign me up, dude. Sign me up. It doesn't make me think, Conner. We need to start pricing, like, sealing touchdown stuff. Yeah, passing touchdowns.

Yeah. Passing touchdowns are fun, guys. They're very fun. You're never really out of them either, especially if you're getting your ass-case. Here, let me read some, you mind if I do that to the sports books? I don't want to be a dick about it, but 150 at Fandual? 147 at Seizures. 155 at Fanatics.

You imagine taking that one, 185s on the, like just there it is. So you can just take that. No, no limits. Just saying. Love that. Love that. What, uh. And if any of those books sponsor this show, I'm not talking about you.

I'm talking about the other one. What we, do you have like, uh, how much liquidity is on that? That's my only retort. Um, all right. So liquidity on the two and a half right now. Looks to be a couple hundred. So, but here's the thing. what I've noticed, it just reappears.

It does. Yeah, I think. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that, but like, I don't know if you've ever like maxed it out, but like it's like two seconds later, there's more. And you're like, all right. Let's go. So what I think happens is some of these market makers who are supplying that have bots set up to like basically they don't want to put like 20,000 liquidity on there.

Yes. If they're like put, so in case like news happens. So they'll put like 500 out. And then when that gets taken, they have a thing that like checks news. and then repost it. So then you can just keep adding more if you want. Yeah. It's something I've never seen before.

It used to be as far as like his, like recently, it's last season. What was there was what was there. You know, not anymore. It's just you just go right back and get more if you want it. It's the gift that keeps giving. It's a good problem to have. It's a whole new world. If that's illegal or anything like that, I didn't say that.

No, no. I mean, like I don't know. I think Conner's right. You know, you don't want to be, you know, the risk management side of having to oversteak and just have it all gobbled up when news on a Friday breaks. And, you know, your starting quarterback is all of a sudden not in or your backup running back. Like, just you're protecting yourself. So I think I think Conner's got that dialed in there. So, yeah, I like it.

I want to start pricing that. I think it's a good spot for Burrow. I will go on the record and say this, though. I'm not a three guy. I don't love the threes. I usually throw those into lotos. It would be give me two at plus money. And I bet you we can profit throughout the season.

Because two is, we said this boat. Two is a lot different than three, obviously. But from a price standpoint, like, it's way different. That's all I'm saying. But Burrow, I do think those guys have an attitude. I do believe in narratives in week one, that kind of stuff. And I do think that they are. that Bengals team, at least the Bengals offense,

is coming for blood, especially early. So we'll see. But yeah. Love it. I'm building, build off season, so it's been a lot of time as offseason, build the projections slops.

We're trying to stay, you know, a little math-centric this year, too. I will say that I have Burrow comfortably ahead of everyone else in the slate for touchdown passes. So we're on the right side of it. we're going to three we're probably chasing the right dude i think yeah that exactly i mean i'll take plus one 85 even dude at 150 i'm probably out i saw the 180 so i was like damn man okay all right you're getting kind of like kind of fun yeah all right i'll like it i like it all right i'm

surprised as i moved a lot of the news that's happened today um maybe this is another like running back situation that i think maybe beats or maybe the marx or maybe the marlars. market is misreading a little bit. I'm going to go to Pittsburgh. I think, you know, Jalen Warren and Rico Dowell are both probably heavily involved, but in terms of like base down running attempts, I expect Rico Dowell to be prominently involved. I'm going to go over 11.5 rushing attempts for Rico Dalo. Um, 13 on Caesars. This is basically 11 and a half everywhere, and like between 110 and 135, so, including Novig. So, you know, shop around. But it just keeps getting worse and worse for the Atlanta side.

This is a kind of turned into a chalky smash spot for the Steelers here who should be able to take advantage of depleted on both sides, Falcons team. Nice run scripts and a lot of just Aaron Rogers turned around and handed into a back. Yeah, I mean, I think we're closer to 13 or 14 here, to be honest. So I'm surprised this hasn't moved in response to the news. Connor, any thoughts on RICO, this backfield? or how this game has continued to just kind of sail away on the Pittsburgh side. No, I have Rico Alts written down because I think he's going to be the thumper.

It seems like with the new coaching staff, like you mentioned, like he's going to be the early down guy. Jalen Warren's going to be kind of the past catching plus. They'll both see some early down work, both see some like a little bit stuff here, but I would expect him to be the goal line back, which, again, I think is great for carries. One of the reasons we played, you know, Chris Rodriguez over as well earlier in the week at eight and a half. So yeah, I think I think the Dowdle one has room to go up to it's only 44 yards. I think like 60 plus at 2 to 1 is pretty good.

Again, like this number, they're playing against what was already a pretty bad Falcons team top to bottom. Defensive line is not looking good. And then now you're looking at the Steelers is six point favorites in some spots. So six point home favorites. So like I think this is about as good as a spot as it gets for Dowdle, honestly, this season. Yeah. And almost at 50 or almost at 60 yards. So I think ceiling of there too,

and just when in doubt, I like the carries number. I feel like it's a little bit more bankable. Slop, any thoughts on this Pittsburgh backfield? I'm in. Let's go. It's all I need. Stamp of approval. Yeah, that's money.

I'm in. It's on Novig. All right, Connor. You had me at Novig. It's on there. Got it on my list. Number two, Connor, what you got, buddy? Yeah, I got another one that best number here is at Fandul.

I'm just pushing this out. Fandul is definitely the best number here. But I would have played at the other number. So I'm going to go with Ashton Jenty under 15 and a half carries, minus 130 on Fandul, 14 and a half, like even money basically across the board elsewhere. I think both are fine. I think 14 and a half is fine here too. Just three short weeks ago, you would have thought the guy died.

no pressure on his leg. There was a prayer circle. I don't know if the Pope came down or what happened, but he's healed. He's fully healthy. He's in a good spot. Full practice this week. Prayer works.

And I think that he's like probably mostly healthy. Yeah, exactly. There's, there again. Yeah. We're praying. I think that he's going to be mostly healthy. What was the key, no worthy takeaway was,

so Dan Graziano and some other people have mentioned that they're hearing that Mike Washington is going to see a massive chunk of work because Gentile mispractice is, again, a new system for him for, like, the last couple weeks. And because Mike Washington's been great, they've like, you know, even before any of this happened, they're like, yeah, Mike Washington's going to be a thing. Mike Washington is going to play a role, you know, like he's going to be involved in this offense. And so I think that was kind of the base case. Then you have him getting injured, missing time.

And I'm not betting against him, like, breaking off a run here. The dolphins suck. Don't get me wrong. Like, you know, this is not like, I'm not bed in the yards under. You know, his yards under is like mid-50s. But, I mean, 16 carries, like that's a heavy dose of Ashton Genty in his first game back from injury here. There's a chance that the Raiders are winning by so much that they don't even need him and they're just running, running Mike Washington. There's a chance in neutral game script that I think that they see a split back, pretty split back field.

And then somehow, if the Dolphins are winning, you know, the Raiders aren't going to be running. So 16 plus carries seems really rich. Even 15 plus seem like a lot. Again, I think that he falls squarely in like the 10, uh, 13 range this week with coming back from injury here. So I know this is not going to be popular. All the takes this week and all the quotes so that he feels good and then he's, you know, ready to rock and he's ready to go again.

But I think you peel back some of the curtains here. This would be a lot of running from the Raiders here against the dolphins. This is surprise to you, Connor. If you happen to go in chat, you know, Dane's really excited that you dropped a court side reference in there. So I was just going off of our odd screen at Sharpstack. And I have them because they're kind of a fun new sweeps like exchange book and they copy a lot of, I don't know, just like normal lines, market lines. Yeah.

This is widely, widely, widely available. You can bet this everywhere, literally everywhere. So it doesn't fit the brand though, Connor. We got to have something to complain about. It's Friday. You're allowed to release on Friday, so we can't bitch about it being Friday. So we got to find something else. It's a, the last book you mentioned happens to get, you know, some sort of attention.

So the rules keep changing from the sharps, actually. We release something, the kiddle one, which was 24 hours from kickoff. And the feedback we got was, why don't you just wait until kickoff? Nothing's going to change. Why don't just wait until an hour before kickoff? You can get down even more then. I don't, they think I'm like Bezos? like how much they think I'm betting on this shit?

Like I don't need $50,000 on a player prop. You know, like that that's just now where I've had in life, man. And so yeah, crazy, whatever. It's fine. You know, Dane is met him in real life full times. Hopefully he's listening to the show. He's an absolutely goofball. So I don't care about anything he says.

He can say whatever. That was funny. There's always something. Slop, any gente thoughts? Any raiders? thoughts any uh mike washington ceiling thoughts i just um i'm just kind of pretending like that game's not even happening oh it's good it's like that it's not going to make the tv i'll tell you that right now like there's no there's literally nothing about that game at all that i'm interested in

and now if there's an under it i'm even less interested you know what i mean like it's there's a tackle bat is it a little hanging tackle bed in that one for me Now I'm interested. I know he's been dinged up a little bit, like pretty unsustainable rate stats last year when he played,

like 25% target share, almost 2,000. and a half yards per route run, which is wild. I think he's after the catch stuff is pretty nice. So I don't think he plays a ton. I think he's probably around like, I don't know, 40 to 50% of the routes. But, I mean, they literally could do this on one catch with his juice.

I have him way comfortably over this. I think the alts are fun. I think his longest reception over 11.5. Is also another derivative of this that's really nice, but like 14 and a half is such a low bar. So again, I think he's probably the fourth receiver. I think it's Nico.

I think it's booty. And I think, you know, Zaver Hutchinson runs more routes than him. But I think Newell is earning targets when he's out there. And I love that everyone individually is talking about him. So, yeah,

Tets a full grown ass man, six, five. Cam Lewis couldn't get on the field last year for Buffalo. He was just a backup swing secondary guy. The year before, he was the starting nickel. Last time he had like a full-time job. He led all slot corners. And by lead, I mean like it's the worst in targets per outrun on PFF. when offensive coordinators saw Cam Lewis in the slot,

they went after him at an insane rate. So again, Ted's not going to just play in the slot. They're moving around a lot. And I think when he gets that mismatch, his catch rate is going to be pretty insane. So love his spot. Bears playing fast, you know, just kind of back and forth,

trailing game script probably from the Panthers. Absolutely love Tet. You know, four and a half perceptions is probably a little light too, but I like the yards on a player like this. So I want to get him in the park.
