Hi, it's Morgan from Off the Shelf and I'm here to tell you how my Google Pixel 9 helps
me read more. Google actually gifted me this phone and now I use it non-stop. The other day,
I was trying to remember the name of this book someone recommended and instead of spiraling
into a 40 minute social media scroll, I just asked Gemini on my Pixel. What's that romantic
book with a competition and a ghost helping her through the trials? The book you're likely thinking of is Phantasma by Kaylee Smith. Here's a breakdown of why it fits your description.
It's like having that one friend who always knows what you're talking about.
Learn more about the Google Pixel 9 at store.google.com.
Hello, hello, we're back people.
Welcome to a brand new episode of Mums the Word.
I'm George Jones.
And I'm Kelsey Parker. And today we catch up all about our Easter holidays, what Kelsey has forgotten
about being pregnant and of course the return of We Listen and We Don't Judge.
So grab a cuppa, get comfy and let's jump into a brand new episode of Mums A Word.
into a brand new episode of Mums the Word. So, girls, how was your Easter holidays?
Well, my Easter holidays went on forever.
Yeah, because your girls, your girls, your girl and boy, why do you say girls?
Bodie and Aurelia, what's wrong with me? Are at private school.
So Easter holidays are longer, aren't they?
Yeah, we had like three weeks off. Oh, God.
But it was quite nice.
And also I just think as well for Easter holidays,
it gave me a break.
Like, what?
From like the school run and stuff.
The school run, the picking up,
the going to the activities,
even just having the time off from that
was a nice break for me.
Yeah, I never really appreciated that.
Whenever anyone said that, I was always like,
God, yeah, but then they're at school all day,
like so what, you've got to get up and do the school run.
But this time I appreciated that as well.
It was just nice to have like a slower pace of life.
Yeah, it's a slower pace of life
because it's not the rush.
Everything's just a rush.
You wake up, the moment you open your eyes
and it's just a rush.
Get the kids ready, get the dress, do the teeth,
get your shoes on, out the door, into the car,
the next job, do you know what I mean?
It's like, you've got just like go, go, go.
Yeah, and then you pick up.
And then obviously mind your activities
every night of the week.
Oh gosh, yes.
So it's then literally onto the next activity,
the next club.
So it was nice and we went to Grand Canary for 11 days.
Yeah, how was the weather?
Was it nice?
The weather, we were so lucky
because it was really kicking off in the Canaries.
Like people, like, lands are already flooded. And yeah, we had so lucky because it was really kicking off in the Canaries. Like people, like lands are rotted, flooded.
Yeah, we had one day of rain, that was it.
So I definitely was not complaining.
It was lovely and it was so nice to just relax.
Oh, I bet it was.
And you're nice and brown,
you've got a real good base for this week
where it's gonna be really hot
and I'm very jealous of you.
Yeah, because then you're not getting my pasty legs out.
It's like they've got a bit of color.
Got a bit of color.
And the kids just loved it.
They loved going to like the kids club.
Yeah, who was it that was there?
You, Will? Me, Will, the kids,
and then my mum, Johnny and my brothers.
Oh, your brothers went?
Yep.
So I've seen you're like the new Kardashians, you lot.
Yeah, I know.
What's happened to us?
Well, I think as well,
I think they came on holiday with me and thought, well, I can do that.
Is that, was it after that that they decided to do that?
After we went on holiday,
and obviously they've seen that I do TikTok and what I do.
I think they all just sat there and thought,
well, we can do that.
Bear in mind, my brothers are trained.
Like, I trained them.
They came to K2K Stars.
Oh, so they are performers.
They are performers.
I mean, Maxwell was the only person
we've actually ever had to chuck out of the dance school. Oh my god, why? Because he was
just so naughty. I was like, Mum, I can't, he's like, unteachable. He's going. So he's
got- You threw your own brother out of your dance school. I did. I did. And they did like-
You heard it first. Yeah. They modelled, because obviously they had Tom growing up that they
thought it was normal that you went on the O2 and you performed like
Yeah, yeah, I didn't think anything of that. So they did the performance side of things
I mean, they're absolutely hate me talking about it. But yes, so they started there another probably love it
They'll be on there tick tock in no time. Yeah, they're like right
But yeah, they're both doing tick tock and they're both to fitness on tick tock. I don't forget don't forget your mom
Yeah, well mom's more like,
she's being more of an influencer
and giving like positivity out to people.
I love that.
But my mom is that person.
She has always done that throughout.
Like I spoke about this morning.
My mom's always been the parent that has given the advice.
Yeah.
Even with like breastfeeding and stuff,
my friends would ring my mom and go,
so what sort of routine should I be in?
Should we change this pod to a three anymore?
Yeah, come and die.
So we're all a family of, well, I think we could be the new Kardashians.
You could.
You'll have your own TV show in no time.
Because we do argue as well.
Yeah, exactly.
We argue, we fall out and then we make up.
Yeah, real life.
Yeah.
I can see it now.
What would you call yourself?
I don't know because everyone's got different surnames.
I was going to say, I was you call yourself? I don't know, because everyone's got a different surname. We actually couldn't be the Kardashians.
I was gonna say the Parkers without you.
Anyway, we're the Kardashians.
Some of them are Jennas.
True, very true, yeah.
I think I'd quite enjoy watching that, to be honest, Kels.
Yeah, it would be, because I feel like,
even with the Kardashians, it's just that sort of program
that you can just binge watch and just,
you just don't have to think about it.
You're just watching, you're like, yeah.
Like maths, have you been watching
My Ride at First Sight Australia?
No.
Oh, Kels, you've missed out.
I know, everyone loves it though, don't they?
It's flipping brilliant.
Do they do it better than us?
Yeah, I feel like every country
does reality better than we do.
Yeah.
Don't you?
Because the Australian one's like the one, isn't it?
Yeah, they just do it really well, which is a shame for us.
Come on, come on England, man.
I know, England wouldn't be maths, would it?
Yeah, I remember at first sight, that's what it is, isn't it?
Oh yeah, it is.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh God, is she okay?
No.
So you had a nice holiday.
Sorry, we totally went off on a tangent there.
Yeah, it was nice to have the break,
but then I think when we came back, I still had two on a tangent there. Yeah, it was nice to have the break, but then I think when we came back,
I still had two weeks with the kids.
Yeah.
So by the time they did go back to school,
I was a bit like, what?
Yeah, you're like, bye.
You can go back now.
Were they all right going back?
Last week was quite hard actually.
Aralia went back and the first day,
I actually had work on Tuesday,
so I didn't get to pick her up,
but when Julie picked her up, my auntie,
she went, I had the worst day ever.
And then when I got home,
she then reiterated that at like six days.
She was like, mom, it was the worst day.
I just think where they'd had that break,
they've come back and it's the energies of the girls.
Well, if you think, we find it hard when we've been on holiday to get back into the
swing of things don't we so I don't think like girls as well I wasn't
expecting this whole girl situation in year one but obviously they're trying to
cement where they are in the pecking order okay so and and Aurelia is
actually really sensitive yeah and she's a bit of a, she'll fight for her rights,
which does worry me, so I'm a bit like, oh God,
like just, I said, like if girls don't wanna play with you,
then you just go and play with someone else.
Don't worry about it.
But she was, she's quite sensitive,
so she'll take that as like a personal.
Oh, so was that what had bothered her
when she was there? Yeah, I think it was a play time
and girls not wanting to play together.
God, do you know it's so funny
because I don't feel like there's anywhere near as much
of that as a boy mum.
Well, there's not though.
No.
Because I think boys just get along with it
and they just like. They do, don't they?
Isn't it weird? Isn't it funny?
Like it starts from that age.
Yeah, and Cooper will probably just play like football
in the playground or whatever he's playing.
Like there's not the drama.
There is girl drama and I wasn't expecting it in the playground or whatever he's playing. Like there's not the drama, there is girl drama.
And I wasn't expecting it in year one, but we're here.
We're having it.
And when you said about when they went back,
you were like, woohoo.
Was that because, cause you're pregnant.
Have you noticed like a difference of being mom
whilst being pregnant and not having the same amount
of like energy and being able to like,
are you all right with your energy?
Do you know what, I actually feel okay.
I feel like, because I was probably in like
my second trimester there, I'm like rolling into my third
now.
I'm so quick.
I know.
It has gone quick, but I think it's gonna go even quicker
because I've got so much happening.
Yeah.
That it's just gonna go really fast.
I think as well that when you have got two kids,
you have to find the energy from somewhere.
Yeah.
To be like, right, let's go and do stuff.
And my kids don't do well just sitting indoors
and doing nothing.
No.
So even if it is just going to the park,
like we did, I felt like we did a lot.
Yeah.
So you're all right.
Yeah.
But I don't know whether it was being pregnant
that I was happy for them to go back to school.
I think it's just as well,
my two, they didn't separate from each other for three weeks either. So they had no time apart.
Even like what I'm saying, they went to the kids club together. They did, they do everything together.
So I think by three weeks, they'd had enough of each other. So the arguing towards the end was
getting like a bit out of control. So yeah, so I think by the time we went back,
it was like, yeah, you actually need a break
from each other now to do separate things.
I think it's like that in every,
like say if I spend too long with like my sister
or my mom and dad, I'm like, right, I'm ready.
Oh, we need a break now.
Yeah, we need a break now.
Love them to bits, but you know, it's like, it is.
I think it's like that in life, full stop.
Yeah.
I don't think you're meant to spend every second of every day together
No, cuz some people love it though George some people love it
Do they really? I think they do. I know I just don't don't understand that
Anyway, moving on
Hi, it's Morgan from off the shelf and I'm here to tell you how my Google Pixel 9 helps me read more

In terms of pregnancy because it's so funny because I've not seen Kels for a little while
When I saw you then I was like hello, baby. you've come out. How long have you got left?
Well, I'm 31 weeks.
Oh my God.
So I've not got long left now.
I feel like I'm on the home stretch and I'm like, whoa.
You are, it's flown, absolutely flown by,
what, five more weeks?
Because I think it's like,
they say it's like safe from 36, don't they?
Yeah, that's it.
So five more weeks, you could have been.
But have I got five weeks, yes?
By the ninth of July the ninth of June,
the baby can come at any time.
I'm happy for the baby to come any time after that.
But up until that point, the baby can't come
because I've got so much happening.
Yeah, baby, if you could just understand
that your mommy's got work.
Yes, I've got work and I've got stuff to do.
The ninth of June, we're good to go
because we've got the K2K show on the 8th of June.
Oh, Kels.
I know.
After I've done the K2K show, we're done.
Do you know what?
I bet you any money, your body just goes into complete relax
and then the baby comes the next day.
Or the baby's just gonna be in there till like 42 weeks
and I'm like, ah.
Mummy, I'll listen to you.
I promise you I wouldn't come out.
Both of mine have been early.
Have they?
So Aurelie was a week earlier
and Bodie was two weeks early.
So.
Oh God.
I could be three weeks early.
I would be happy with three weeks early.
All right, well as long as you're happy with that.
As long as you're happy.
What's Will doing?
Is he taking time off work?
Who knows what Will's doing?
Don't know, nobody knows.
Well I'm a bit like as well, wait, like go to work straight after and then because we're rolling into
like the summer holidays, take your time off then. Then, yeah. Like really the baby's just gonna need
me really the first couple of weeks. Yeah and as well you've got you, like you always say,
you've got your village, haven't you?
So I suppose you kind of, does that give you a bit
of peace of mind knowing that like, you know,
your mom and your auntie and.
Well, yeah, definitely for the kit,
for like Aralia and Bodie, you know,
they've got people to drop them off
and pick them up from school.
But again, they break up really early for summer.
So. Oh my God, when do they break up?
They break up with the 4th of July.
To be honest, I couldn't tell you when Cooper breaks up.
I actually have to message the group WhatsApp chat
this morning of Cooper's class and just be like,
hi, can anyone remind me of like term dates?
When did he go back to school?
He went back Tuesday last week.
Yeah.
Is that when yours went back?
Yeah.
But they broke up a week earlier.
They broke up a week earlier. They broke up a week earlier.
What is with all these bank holidays and half days?
We always have them.
I love summer term.
What?
Right, we are such different people.
Cause I'm like, I've just got back into the swing of things
with work cause Cooper's gone back to school.
And then, oh, there's another bank holiday.
And I'll tell you what, we'll-
We're throwing at the end as well.
At the end, we'll throw in a week off
and then we'll put in the summer holidays.
Yeah, cause is there a bank holiday,
there's a bank holiday at the end of May,
but I'm guessing they'll be off school, won't they?
I think that, yeah, I think it just lengthens it,
doesn't it?
It just lengthens by a day at the time
that they're off school.
Cause they've got the week.
Yeah, and then when I break up on the 4th of July,
so they've really got a short summer,
but I love summer term.
I love waking up.
It makes me so happy to wake up
and it be like light outside.
Oh my God, honestly, the sunshine makes such a difference.
Yeah, but even if you're waking up,
but like I've only got up like before six this morning,
it's not that bad.
So I'm like, I can see outside that it's light out.
Yeah, it feels less lonely.
I mean, in the winter it's like, ooh.
Yeah, I don't know why it feels so lonely when it's dark.
Yeah.
It's almost like scary when it's dark.
I am scared of the dark though.
You're scared of the dark?
I am genuinely scared of the dark.
What do you sleep with the light on?
The landing lights on.
I mean, it's on for Cooper,
but would I have it on if I didn't have a child potentially?
Yeah, see, we don't have any lights on.
Mine aren't scared of the dark.
Are they not? No, they'll walk through, like on on. Mine aren't scared of the dark. Are they not?
No, they'll walk through,
on the landing as well with no light on.
Do they? And come into my room, yeah.
Oh my God, no, we leave the toilet light on
so Cooper can see he's got to the toilet
in the middle of the night.
Yeah, see mine are,
I'd probably go to the toilet in the dark.
They're actually fine, they do not bother me.
They've obviously developed your chilledness
with life, haven't they?
Is that even a worry, so Cooper's clearly-
We've got the lights on, you're okay.
You won't fall over.
There'll be no hazardous sun stress.
It's all fine.
We are having renovations going on at the moment as well.
How is that, how's it all going?
I mean, it's going.
It's, the builds are amazing.
We've got a really good group of builders.
Do you feel like it's a lot having everyone
in your house all the time though?
It is, but, because we're only having downstairs done
at the moment, it's not too bad.
Because they're all just kind of contained downstairs.
Yeah, and you've moved your kitchen upstairs, haven't you?
Yeah, we've got like a little converted bedroom
that's like, we've moved everything up.
The builders, they were like,
we'll move your stuff up for you.
I was like, it's fine, I can do it.
And then I went up there and they built me
basically a little mini kitchen with my dishwasher,
a fridge, my washing machine, all of it up there.
So I've got like a little mini kitchen.
How long do you reckon it will be?
I think it'll be another month before downstairs
is completely finished.
I just can't wait to have it downstairs.
That sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
I just think it is when you do renovations
on your house, I don't think you realize
how much it takes over.
It does, totally.
Oh my God, we went on the trampoline yesterday,
me and Coops.
Right, the last few times he's been on this trampoline,
he's like, mommy, I can hear a funny buzzing noise
when I'm on this trampoline.
I was like, got on it with him.
I was like, I can't hear anything, darling. He's like, I think there's something under the trampoline. I was like, got on it with him. I was like, I can't hear anything darling.
He was like, I think there's something under the trampoline.
I was like, there isn't.
Like, I think you just think there is.
Anyway, yesterday we went on it
and he was like, mommy, there's a bee.
And I think there might be a bee's nest
under the trampoline.
But have you got your trampoline?
Sunk in the ground.
Yeah, but did you prep it before you sunk it?
Yeah, it's got light, it's lined.
Yeah, because that's the only thing,
I was talking to someone about this the other day,
about sinking a trampoline, and they were like,
do you know that like mosquitoes go underneath them,
and all this stuff?
I was like, no, I didn't even think about that.
I tried to look under.
But was that already done?
Or did you do that?
We redid it, it was already there, but we redid it,
but I'm really concerned now,
so I think I'm gonna have to get some kind of like
bee exterminate.
No, not an exterminate.
They just moved them don't they?
Because we need bees.
We do need bees.
I was planning to save the bees for a very long time.
Oh, I've always been pro-save.
Cooper's petrified of them.
He just wanted to kill them.
An exterminator.
No, we need someone.
Don't they just like smoke them out and then
move them off somewhere. And we found a frog in the trampoline. Cooper was jumping on it
and a frog was living under. Was he not scared of the frog? No he picked it up. He was like
bare grills. He was unbuffered? Yeah. Oh bless him. I know I was really proud of him. I didn't
realise he wasn't scared of like reptiles. My mum on the other hand refuses to come to
the house now because she's so scared of rats. She's like I don't want any like reptiles. My mum on the other hand refuses to come to the house now
because she's so scared of frogs.
She's like, I don't want any of that.
She's like, no, not for me.
Did you know they don't live in ponds?
What frogs?
Frogs do not live in ponds.
Where do they live, Jo?
Just in the undergrowth.
That blew my mind when I found that out.
Mum's the word exclusive.
I love this parenting podcast.
We've gone on to where do frogs live?
Where do frogs live? Not in ponds apparently. I love this parenting podcast. We've gone on to Where Do Frogs Live. Where do frogs live?
Not in ponds apparently.
I bet everyone listening didn't realize that.
I was like, oh, no, I feel like I knew that because.
Oh, did you?
Yeah.
Oh God, maybe it's just me.
But I'm going through my life thinking
a frog lives in a pond.
They leave the pond, don't they?
Yeah.
Did you know that?
Well, yeah, I've got a book about it.
We've read it in school. Well, anyway, me and Cooper both know that? Well, yeah, I've got a book about it. We've read it in school.
Well, anyway, me and Cooper both know that now, so all good.
Just talking about your pregnancy again, Kels,
because I've just not been...
She's not over it, she's not over the fact
that I'm pregnant.
Not over the fact that she looks very visibly pregnant now.
How are you feeling about it?
Is there anything you've forgotten and gone, oh God,
I've forgotten about this? I think it's gonna be more when the baby gets here
that I'm gonna go, oh wow, this is really hard again.
Yeah, is there anything you're worrying about or not?
You're not much of a worrier, are you?
No, I'm not really much of a worrier,
but I actually have nothing.
I've got nothing.
I've got no equipment whatsoever right now.
And I don't know where the baby's actually gonna go.
Obviously in my room to start off with,
and I said this on Insta the other day,
that I want like a Moses basket in the room
so I can move it around.
So it's not just like, you know,
like the next to me has come out of the bed.
I don't really want that,
but I need to obviously make some progress,
actually get some equipment.
You know, when I had a next to me bed, I liked it,
but I didn't really use it with the side down,
to be honest.
So like a Moses basket would do just fine.
Yeah.
Cause you know the next to me ones,
you take the side down on it, don't you?
So you can just.
Well with Bodie I had the next to me,
and with Aurelia I had a Moses basket,
and that's why I feel like I wanna go back to that,
because it was like the rocking,
that I could get her back off to sleep,
whereas that's quite static, the next to me.
Yeah, it is isn't it?
And you can't move it from the bed anywhere. It's got to stay attached to the me. Yeah, it is, isn't it? And you can't move it from the bed anywhere.
It's got to stay attached to the bed.
Whereas I'm on the side where the door is,
so it's just not gonna be good for,
and also the kids are gonna wanna get in and cuddle me,
and I don't want life to change for them.
If the baby's in a Moses basket,
they can still then get in bed with me,
if the baby's not with me.
How do you think they're gonna be?
Do you think they'll be all right?
I think Aurelia is so excited.
Yeah.
She's like Dolly, our dog, has now become a baby,
even though she's like almost 12.
She has become the baby of the house,
so Aurelia keeps carrying her around,
and I think she's getting her practice in.
I'm like, but you're not gonna be carrying the baby,
so I don't know why you keep carrying the dog around.
She's like, yeah, but Mom, when I'm six, I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not but you're not gonna be carrying the baby. So I don't know why you keep carrying the dog around. She's like, yeah, but mom, when I'm six,
I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not when you're six.
Cause obviously the baby is due on her birthday.
So she's going to be six.
I'm like, do not threaten me with the whole, when I'm six.
What are you gonna do if the baby comes on Aurelia's birthday?
She will be so happy.
Will she?
She will be over the moon.
She wants the baby to basically come on her birthday.
Does she?
Yeah.
God, I remember when my sister was pregnant
and she went into labor two days before my birthday.
I was like, that baby better not come on my birthday
because I'm not sharing my birthday.
I'm not sharing.
No, a radio's out for it,
but what's so funny is Bodie and Will have the same birthday.
Do they?
Yeah.
Oh, that'd be cute though.
So it would actually be me just with my own birthday.
Have you got your names?
I have got names, I'm not sharing names.
Do you know what you have it?
I can't remember. No.
No you don't.
I couldn't remember whether you'd found out or not.
So we've got, we had the email.
We just do a lot of looks at the email.
Oh, but you still haven't opened it.
No.
What's the point now?
Yeah.
We're 31 weeks.
No point now.
Someone's gonna-
Were you wearing a women in iron about it? I was wearing an iron just to know like what I needed to get. No point now. You were umming and ah-ing about it. I was umming and ah-ing, just to know what I needed to get.
Yeah, yeah.
But I've not got anything anyway,
so it's not really changed my life, has it?
Our manager, well, my manager who works for our management,
she's just had a baby, hasn't she?
And I'd given her a load of my vacuum packed
Cooper baby stuff.
And a whole chunk of it was very gender specific. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I think once we gave birth to Cooper, and. And a whole chunk of it was like very gender specific.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because I think once we gave birth to Cooper
and he was a boy, everyone then was like,
I'm gonna buy boy clothes for him.
And Buffy luckily has had a boy.
I know, how good is that?
I know, so now-
I actually thought she was having a girl.
I did.
No, did I?
I was quite shocked that she was having- I had a feeling a girl. I did. No, did I? I was quite shocked that she was having, I had a
feeling of girl. And also how she was like carrying and stuff. Yeah. Weird, isn't it?
Oh, a boy. Okay. Anyway, congratulations, Buffy. If you're listening, you should be
because you have nothing else to do now. Yeah. And also you're a mum now, Buffy, so. Grow up. Oh, that's, you have time to think.
But also Buffy just seems like she's absolutely fine,
but she's not an over thinker.
She's well chilled, so I think that all has a part to play
because she's just like, yeah, the baby's doing this,
it's sleeping really well, it's feeding.
I'm like, oh, right, fantastic.
Yeah, I think she's got, she's looked in with the way
her little boy is now.
That's her energy.
She is like chilled energy.
Yeah, but I feel like I wasn't, would Koopa sleep?
No, bloody well wouldn't.
Would he take a bottle?
No.
Not for one, I'm trying.
No, and her baby's taking a bottle already as well.
Yeah, and her. And I was like, Buffy,'s taking a bottle already as well. Yeah, I know.
And I was like, Buffy, you don't actually understand
how lucky you are.
I know, I said that to her as well.
Like, there's so many people that have to do
bottle boot camp, try and like wean from like boob to bottle.
I said, you are so lucky.
Yeah, I wonder whether they, oh, you might know.
Is there still the rules of like six weeks,
you're meant to breastfeed for six weeks
before you introduce a bottle?
Because that's what it was when I had Cooper.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think you have to do what's right for you though,
because you actually have to go somewhere and do something.
Well, I wish I'd have thought that though,
when I had him, because back then-
Yeah, but you're like, you are a rule abiding citizen.
I really am, yeah, I love a rule.
I love a rule.
Because that's what I said, just get pumping, get some like backup milk as well, get it
in the freezer.
I did.
Oh my, yeah, I had loads.
But Cooper just wouldn't, but again, I do, well, no, because then he's a boy.
Buffy's got a boy.
I was going to say boys just love their mums and their boobies.
Yeah, well.
When did you stop breastfeeding?
Six months.
Six months, I was done.
I was like, I can't do it anymore
And also he didn't really want it
I could tell he wasn't like I think he was just doing it for comfort because my boobs weren't filling up
It didn't feel like yeah, and he wasn't getting full. So I was like you just you just
Six months they are ready for food. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so it was fine
And I only it was like by the time she was getting food she was like, yeah I'm happy now.
Yeah.
And loved food and both of mine actually have got no fussy eaters or anything with them too.
I do.
Mine is the fussiest eater in the world.
But then look at that, even about the boob then.
Yeah, he started off as a fussy little fuss pop.
Didn't he?
It offers a fussy little... Yeah, but no...
Fuss pop, didn't it?

We're doing We'll Listen and We Don't Judge.
Oh, okay. Here we go.
Are we there? Are we there?
Yeah.
Oh, tell you what we haven't talked about.
Well, I knew his resolutions, but mine was, you know, well, actually manifesting things
that want to happen. I guess I did do that. And did you manifest a baby? No, I just had
sex. That's one way to manifest. I feel like things that I put out there have sort of happened.
I feel like this year has gone so quick already though. Like even the fact that we are in summer term
of this year is just-
Honestly, it's just whizzed by.
It's gone so quick.
And exercise has gone out the window really because-
Well, yeah, well, I mean, it doesn't have to,
but if you don't want it, you don't have to do it.
I feel like I exercise in a different way though.
I don't stop, I guess that's exercise in itself.
I bet the, you know know when you measure your steps,
that's, I got that.
When you measure your steps, I bet yours are like.
Through the roof.
Yeah, past double figures.
What about you?
Yeah, so I started going back to the gym.
I wanted to get my body like fit and strong again.
And I have been doing that.
I'm very proud of myself.
And also drinking more.
Drinking more water.
Look, she's got water.
She's got water.
And what about running?
Have you gone back to running?
Yeah, I have, yeah.
Is there a marathon on the cards for you?
Absolutely not.
We had the marathon yesterday.
Yeah, absolutely not.
When you watch the marathon though, do you get inspired?
I don't even- Do you watch it and go, that could be me? Well, you know what I do. I, do you get inspired? I get it.
Do you watch it and go, that could be me?
Well, you know what I do.
I just get emotional and cry when I watch it.
It's like, oh, it's just so lovely.
One of our friends, Joel, dumb it, passed out.
I know, but can I just say that Joel did put out
his schedule the day before.
I didn't see it, what, what?
His schedule was crazy. And I'm not saying that that's got anything to do with him passing out
But I had anxiety for him about his schedule
Oh god, like it was literally down to like wake up at 2 o'clock then you're yeah
Yeah
He had to get a car to the station to then be in Leeds the day before
So then come back from Leeds like his schedule was full on. Even after the marathon, he had his rest time,
go home, eat, have a ice bath,
and then get picked up in a car and film.
He was filming something at five o'clock.
So I thought maybe that is his body showing him
and his team.
Telling him, slow down Joel.
Slow down, but even that, the fact facts like what an inspiration that he passed out
Oh still actually finished it finished it. I know it's incredible isn't it? Well done to Harry Judd as well by the way
I well done Harry good old Harry he um I think he did I think he did pretty well actually
It was hot for them yesterday. Yeah, I think you might have done sub three hours. Yeah, I love Marathon day though
I didn't get to go yesterday, but I love going up there and supporting Marathon day
Oh, I know I nearly did I didn't I didn't end up going one of our good friends Will was running
He did really well. Well done Will as well. Well done everyone. Well done everyone that took part in the marathon
Really really proud of you
But it is amazing because everyone's doing it for an amazing cause as well like whatever charity you're running for and the reason you're doing it
Yeah, speaking of charities. We mustn't forget. Yes. There's a very important football match coming up. Tenth of May.
I'm gonna try and cut I can't come I can't come
Can't come because the thoughts themselves this morning got a must get my tickets
To come but I'm actually not here. It's one of my friends fault yes. Oh
to just get my tickets to come, but I'm actually not here. It's one of my friend's fault here.
But I'll be there in spirit, okay?
Tell us, tell us.
May the 10th, I am hosting a charity football match
for Tom and this will be our third year of doing it.
And I love it because I just think it's so good
for the kids to keep Tom's memory alive.
We've got amazing footballers who are taking part
and that's what I'm always so blessed about
because for me, them footballers are taking time
out of their day.
Normally I do it Father's Day,
but that is a little bit too close to the due date.
So we've not done Father's Day this year,
but I'm always so thankful and grateful.
And a lot of the players have actually played
for the last, like the two other matches.
This is a bit of a tradition.
This will be their third year and Scott Thomas is hosting.
Nice.
And he's done it for the last,
this will be his third year as well, the last three years.
Was he good friends with Tom?
Well, I think he's got that connection with Tom
because they were from Manchester.
I think like he, you know,
Scott's had a massive like transformation.
He's gone from being like the life and soul of the party and the drinker to now sober's gone from being the life and soul of the party
and the drinker to now sober,
still obviously is the life and soul
and he's got such a good energy about him.
I love Scott.
But he would have definitely had the wanted
in his clubs back in the day.
I went up to Manchester and done Scott's nights out.
They were the night to go to.
But everyone wants to come back.
And I think, cause the day is more than a football match.
And that's what I try and express on my socials.
That it's like, it's a family fun day.
So there's stuff for the kids to do.
We've got face painters, we've got hair braiders,
we've got bouncy castles, ice creams.
It's about everyone.
It's a day, it's a day out.
It's a day out.
Kickoffs at three o'clock,
but doors open at like 1 o'clock.
So how do people get tickets then? Go onto, well my Instagram, at being underscore Kelsey, or go onto Bromley
Football Club's website and you can get tickets on there. Okay. But get your tickets guys. And is it raising money for?
So it's raising money for a head of the game, which is a charity that I'm actually patron of.
Dave Bolton is a 12 year survivor of glioblastoma,
which was the brain tumor Tom had.
Oh wow.
And there's 5% of people that are in Dave's shoes,
like have lasted that long.
Wow.
So Dave is playing, Dave's a bit of a hero.
Is he?
And what we do at the charity is we are helping rehabilitate people or helping
with other therapies that go alongside having a brain tumor because me and Tom had to pay
so much money for everything that the NHS didn't supply, which when you're actually
diagnosed with a brain tumor, it's nothing.
You're literally given chemo and radiotherapy,
that's it, that's all the support you're getting
from the NHS.
Whereas we've got like red light therapy,
we've got hyperbaric oxygen chamber,
Dave does exercise, fitness,
but this is all up in Liverpool.
So there's, you know, we're quite fortunate around here
and down south because we probably have a lot more access
to London
and other facilities whereas Manchester they've not got loads and Liverpool so, Dave's got
the clinic up there and ultimately do you know what it's just raising awareness because
unless you're in it you don't realise how bad.
No question.
You know it gets 1% of national funding it's unbelievable.
It's nothing is it.
So I'm doing my little bit.
Everybody buy your tickets, go buy your tickets.
And come along.
Support Kels and her amazing event.
So we listen and we don't judge.
The first one already.
Yeah go on.
Is a bit of me.
Sometimes I feed the kids extra food
so I get peace and quiet for a little bit longer
Oh
I'm not judging that
Can I have the biscuit? Oh, well you shouldn't really be having this biscuit
Okay, have the biscuit
Yeah, sure have it
If you're trying to get something done, you're like, yeah, just have a snack. Mommy can I have a snack? Sure
And that's what you find in the Easter holidays and how much they eat
Who ever goes, Mommy can I have a snack? Can it be chocolate?
And I'm like, yeah.
Well, Aurelia does a run down of what she would have eaten at school so far.
So she's like, well it would have been snack time already at school, so can I have a snack now?
Clever girl.
I'm like, well we don't do snacks, you're waiting till lunch.
Oh, snacks is the way forward. I love a snack.
When someone mistook my girl for a boy,
I made up a boy's name rather than explain.
Surely that's a little bit traumatic for the child.
But I feel like so many people actually do that.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, sometimes it's like, it's long, isn't it?
Like going, it's actually, and then they feel embarrassed
that they've made that mistake,
like I'm here for it.
Yeah, I mean.
I feel like this could be someone I know that did this.
Did it?
I had this conversation
with a mum outside the school gates.
What about the mistaken identity?
Oh, someone thought that he was a girl,
so I just went along with it
and just called her a girl's name.
Called him a girl's name.
I suppose in the past I have just gone, thanks.
Even someone came to mine yesterday and was like,
oh, do the girls do that?
Because suppose Bud has got slightly longer hair as well.
I feel like that sometimes confuses people, doesn't it?
Yeah, how can I turn around and be like,
you do know that I have a girl and a boy?
I was just like, yeah, I just wear a little bit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And also when they're really young,
it's quite easy to mistake them for a bit.
Especially when they're all like, no hair.
Yeah, yeah, exactly, no hair.
And if you're going for like gender neutral clothes.
Yeah, which I did a lot with Cooper actually.
Go on, what have you got?
I thought I'd muted myself on a work Zoom call
while dealing with my toddler.
Turns out the whole team heard me say,
no, you can't put the cat in the washing machine. Needless to say, I had some explaining to do.
But I think with that as well, if people actually heard what you said during the day to your child,
the most ridiculous comments you come out with, you like no, we're not I was like no
I was on the phone to my friend. No the other day. No, I'm listening and she was like no Ivy
Get away from the dog and then Ivy's like better. Don't leave the dogs balls alone
Do you ever send like a voice note or anything and you're with your kid and then you suddenly start having a conversation with them
and then you come back like, sorry, I was just, sorry.
I don't know why you don't just stop it.
One of my friends like, if your kid starts talking to you,
just stop the voice note.
I don't need to hear the conversation.
Yeah, but sometimes you're in mid flow
and you're like, I can't go back from this now.
I know the amount of conversations I've heard
between parent and child on a voice note from my friends.
Ooh, oh no, this one isn't parenting, but it's sad.
My husband told me he might be gay,
haven't told anyone, heartbroken.
Well, what I will say is this happened to one of my friends.
This isn't my friend, don't think of something.
No, it wasn't, she wasn't married.
She found out her boyfriend was gay.
How did she find out?
A long time ago, by accident.
I won't go into it, but what I will say,
she is now happily married and...
Yeah, but that's my husband.
Well, yeah, but you know, what I'm going at is,
there's light at the end of the tunnel, just because.
Yeah, and also, well done on him for telling her.
So he's actually told her he's gay.
He's told her.
So, you know, he could be going through life,
living a lie, but he's actually been brave enough
to tell her, so.
And you can still remain friends, you know.
I know a few people that I follow on social media
that have remained friends with their partners
that have turned out to be gay.
All is not lost because, you know,
it might be everything happens for a reason,
doesn't it, Kels?
I guess.
I guess.
You know, and you don't want to be in a marriage where,
you know, it's not right for one or the other of you.
So.
That's just, I just don't know how you would deal with it
when they told you.
So.
I know, especially.
It's not you.
It's me and I'm a.
And a man.
And a man, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, we hope you're all right,
whoever you are,
on the heartbroken,
because they must still really be.
Yeah, but I think that would be so hard,
because if you're in love with them,
but they're in love with someone else,
but it's also not the someone else
that you thought that it was gonna be someone else.
I do think it would be easier though,
if it was,
if your husband left you for a man rather than a woman.
I don't think people say that, don't they?
I just think you'd be a bit heartbroken, I don't know.
No, oh well, that brought the mood down
ever since I met you, didn't it?
Well, we're so sorry, now you.
Come on, Kelsey, have you got a funny one to bring?
While queuing at the pharmacy,
my daughter loudly asked the pharmacist,
do you have anything for my mommy's smelly feet?
That would have made me laugh I think yeah, I would well I'm embarrassed 24-7 by what I really are actually comes out
Yeah, yeah, but you've had a few of those. Yeah happen the other day. We was in
We was in a restaurant a restaurant cafe
I always go to and my mom's friend came in and she was like oh really?
I do want to come and sit outside with me and I was like no really I don't go and Jenny was like why I, Aurelia, do you want to come and sit outside with me? And I was like, No, Aurelia, don't go.
And Jenny was like, Why?
I said, because she's going to tell you all my secrets.
And she literally went out there and told them.
You shot yourself in the foot there because Aurelia would have then gone.
No, she would have told them anyway.
But I had an argument with Will that morning and she told them everything.
Oh, no. Oh, no.
Sometimes it's things you want to be proud of.
You're like, cheers, right?
Oh, I struggle to enjoy my stepson's company.
His mother caused this resentment.
That's hard, isn't it?
But if it was his mum that has caused the resentment,
this, whoever it is that's written this in
needs to remember that.
That it's not a your stepson problem,
it's the stepson's mother problem.
I think that it's so hard coming in as a stepparent,
but I feel like it's harder for women when they come in.
Do you?
Because I think you've always got that battle of the mom.
Of the mom.
It's that like, yeah,
because it's that maternal thing, isn't it?
Of, yeah, the battle.
And I do get that.
And I feel as well like men aren't,
just aren't as bothered about it all.
Whereas as women, sometimes,
well, we've seen it from a really a starting
when she's like in year one.
It's sometimes there's a bit more drama comes with it.
Even if we don't actually want to create any drama.
And also it's what kids go and feed back.
I think like some kids feed negativity back
or maybe they wanna please their mom at home.
And it might not actually be the truth.
I think just focus on your steps and just try and like-
And when he's with you give him the best time.
Yeah and just block out the noise of the mum.
As much as you know it is her little boy
at the end of the day.
But do you with the son, with the stepson
and then just kind of like the mother can be a different,
totally different part of it.
You've got to try and get on to make it
okay for the kids, don't you?
Well, I remember when Johnny came in for the first time,
oh no, maybe he was at my house
and I was coming back to something.
That's your stepdad.
Yeah, my stepdad.
And he was in the conservatory and I was like,
what's that man doing in the conservatory?
Yeah, yeah.
And then he went out and bought my love and it was fine.
He bought your love, I love it.
He bought my love, I love it.
But it is hard for kids to adapt as well.
And that's what I'm saying.
You don't actually know what your stepson's going back
and feeding his mom.
Yeah, yeah.
It's tricky one to navigate.
It's so tricky.
And I think you see this all the time
with like broken families
that sometimes the kids go back and say stuff
and I just don't know.
I think kids are kids ultimately
and you got to believe in to a certain extent
but also they can pick up on vibes.
Yeah, and I think sometimes kids sometimes say things
to make whoever they're talking to at that moment feel better.
Yeah, they're so clever.
Yeah, so I think just take it all
with a massive pinch of salt.
Which is hard though for some people.
Yeah it is.
And especially when you're having to share your kids.
I mean, that would be so hard having to share.
Yeah, oh yeah.
I couldn't even think of it.
I'm not sharing.
I'm not sharing.
One morning we were rushing and I didn't realize
my daughter had gone to nursery wearing her princess dress
underneath her uniform.
Halfway through the day she stripped off
and insisted she was Elsa
That's quite cute. Go on girl. I think that's quite tame really
Aralia rocked up to school once and went oh, I've got no knickers on oh my god
I think you told me that yeah, I said it before so I put a nix on I was like don't worry
I was like the little bit in the tights that can just be that's your knicker. Yeah
Don't worry, I was like the little bit in the tights that can just be... That can be that's your nicker.
Yeah.
They get the...what's it called?
In the tights.
That's the gusset.
The gusset, that's it, the gusset of the tights.
Oh, how horrible is that word, gusset?
Yeah.
My last one.
And I think Bodie didn't wear pants the other day to school.
Did he not?
And I went, you've not worn any pants to school.
I mean, what do the teachers think?
What have it?
Mine's independence in the morning, get yourself dressed. Yeah, I get Cooper to get himself dressed. I mean, what do the teachers think? Well, but mine's independence in the morning.
Get yourself dressed.
Yeah, I get Cooper to get himself dressed.
I mean, he's seven.
Yeah, I mean, both of his four.
Both of his only four.
My dog ran through a church in the middle of a funeral.
I hid behind the gravestones.
Oh, I would be notified.
Would you?
Oh, yeah, I would.
I think as the person attending the funeral,
you and me would probably be like, it's a sign.
It's a sign, yeah.
Also, why are you walking through a graveyard?
Yeah, why is that?
Is that the thing to do on a dog walk,
go through a graveyard?
Where do you go on your dog walk?
Oh, just from past that graveyard up there.
Maybe don't go on a dog walk through a graveyard
with your dog off the lead.
Yeah.
I'm sure there must be rules on that, surely.
And do you know what? And then it would be even worse
if you've got a dog that jumps up too
and they're all in there like nice clothes
and your dog's muddy and jumps up.
Do you know what we need to call this section, Kels?
Because what I've realized is that we do actually judge.
So it should be called, oh, or give advice.
Yeah.
We listen and we don't judge, but we do give our advice.
We know, we give our opinion on it.
But we do give our strong opinions on it.
I think we rename it as of today.
We listen and we don't judge, but we're not judging
because you know what?
It is what it is.
Yeah, we're not judging.
We just like to have an opinion, don't we, girls?
Or what we would do.
Yeah.
So, that's a wrap on another episode, Kelsey.

Hi it's Morgan from Off the Shelf and I'm here to tell you how my Google Pixel 9 helps
me read more.
Google actually gifted me this phone and now I use it non-stop.
The other day I was trying to remember the name of this book someone recommended and instead of spiraling
into a 40 minute social media scroll I just asked Gemini on my pixel. What's
that romantic book with a competition and a ghost helping her through the
trials? The book you're likely thinking of is Phantasma by Kaylee Smith. Here's a
breakdown of why it fits your description. It's like having that one
friend who always knows what you're talking about. Learn more about the
