People, welcome to a brand new episode of Mums the Word.
I'm Georgia Jones.
And I'm Kelsey Parker.
Today we're chatting about, that was lovely Kelsey.
I think I might go be this voice now.
Very sexy, such a sexy voice.
Today we're chatting about the chaos of half-term and the constant pressure to give 100% to everything from parenting to friending to working.
And we speak about the difference between work mum mode and home-mom mode.
And also, Georgia gives us her latest update on her 40 before 40 list.
Oh, no.
So grab a cup.
Get comfy.
And let's jump into a brand new episode of Momswear.
Hi.
Scheduled catch up.
So I basically just went on mute to Kelsey there
because I was like, I've got stuff to talk to you.
And I can't talk to you now because I want to talk to you about it on the pod.
It needs to be authentic reactions.
Tell me.
Right.
So this morning's not.
got gone to plan.
Right.
Because finally half times over, Cooper's back at school.
What's he do on Monday morning?
Stubby's to, right, stubby's toe, which sounds very minute and like nothing.
But he can't walk.
And so then, me and Danny, but how bad are we talking?
What time are we talking?
It's big toe.
Oh, right.
Yes.
Not like his little piggy.
He's big one and he can't walk on it.
And I was like, we can't send a kid into school.
So did you not go yesterday either?
Oh no, straight to Tuesday.
No.
He's done it yesterday.
Oh my God.
Is it Wednesday today?
And I've not realised.
No, it's wrong.
Yeah, no, he did it Monday.
It's Tuesday today.
Yeah, so he can't.
And so now is, we are, we like, well, what do we do?
Because Dan is in the studio.
Right.
I would have sent him to school.
Yeah, right.
So Kelso's like, oh, get him to school, George.
Get him to school.
But he couldn't get a shoe on.
And he couldn't get a shoe on.
I couldn't get a shoe on.
I couldn't send him in a sock.
Yeah, with a sock.
Yeah, with a sock.
I dropped him off at the school.
let him milk it a little bit when he walked in
because I guaranteed he will have his shoe on
and be running around by the end of the day.
Do you reckon?
Yeah.
Yeah, but how do you know?
How do you know if they're lying or not?
How do you know whether your kid is pulling an absolute fast one
or whether, because I said to it.
Because you challenged them by taking them to school.
If it was bad, they would ring you and say,
you need to come and pick him up.
I know, but I couldn't have him ringing me when I'm in central London.
An hour away.
I do think they forget about it.
The amount of times that Aurelia tells me she feels,
feel sick or whatever in the morning. I'm like, oh, here we go. I never quite know
whether to believe her. It was very hot last night, hot to the touch and a bit swollen.
Yeah. Is it black? No, it hasn't bruised. He's fine, getting him.
You needed your remedy box. You needed some Arnica. And you needed to take the remedy.
I just gave him some cowfowlcal cows. No, you didn't. Yeah, of course I did.
What for that? Yeah.
George.
And some Arnica. I did you live a bath. But you could have gone and got Arnika from the chemist.
Arnica's not like a hole
I'm really, really spiritual
of my Arnica
literally you can get Arnica from anywhere
and it just reduces swelling
Does it? I thought it just reduced
cruising. You literally just gave him some sugar
Well he needed it I think
For the shock
He might have been some Harryboats instead
Anyway
I've gone to the studio with Danny
So today is the ultimate parenting juggle
Because I'm here
We've got two episodes today
Haven't we, Kells
Well you've got three actually
And then I've got to dash back
Drive to the studio, pick up Cooper, because Danny's got...
Yeah, but then you've got nothing else after now.
At least the school run's been taking out of it.
I'm a working mother, don't you know, Cal?
No, I know that, but you've not got...
You know, like the school run is like an added thing to do.
When that sort of comes out, you're a bit like, oh.
I mean, to be honest, I've got to film some content with him later,
so it actually works out quite well that I have got him this afternoon.
No, like, right, you can work instead.
Fantastic.
It all worked out, okay.
Maybe it was meant to be.
What was I going to say?
Oh yeah, I've got a bit of a juggle
Because I've got no car
My car's got in for a service
Oh
And do all cars need a service at the same time
Because my car needs a service as well
Maybe we're just on a rolling service together
But also can you, sorry Kelsey
You need to tell me something
It's just come to my mind
If I don't say it right now, I forget
Can you tell me when this fire horse
Is going to make my life wonderful
Because
No, I saw something the other day
Being like, this fucking firehouse
Yeah, he needs to hurry the hell up
And gallop into my life
Because at the moment I'm just a straight
rest out human that's got a lot on a player.
I think we all are though because I don't think it's like fully like landed.
Yeah.
It's not yeah.
I shed my snake skin.
No, because you know what?
I just think this is a really crap period of time.
I just like financially.
Yeah.
And worldly I think this is a rubbish time.
But we've got spring equinox coming.
So that will be a new.
That could hurry up.
A new beginning.
That will be 20th of March.
We've got that.
Okay.
And then obviously everyone becomes a bit lighter.
Then the days become lighter.
You let go.
Listen, the weather's cheering me up a little bit.
Yeah, this is good, isn't it?
I mean, I can do, this sunshine is a bit of me.
It's a bit of me.
Yeah, no, it just makes everything like better, isn't it?
Even I had to take the dogs out this morning before I came to do this.
And it was just so nice.
I mean, just like, oh, that bit of sun.
Hanging you washing out?
Yeah.
Oh, my God, a line dried washing.
God, that is like, you are old.
What I'm old.
Kelsey loves that.
She goes, have you got your washing out on the line today.
Get you washed out on the line today.
Diane, yes, so she'll mind me went, Diane.
got you washing out of the line.
I'm like, what are you like?
I even did a story on it.
Did you?
Oh no, I saw it.
I saw it.
I did use abbreviation, so I'm still down with the kids.
And I've got to turn up on my jeans today.
Well, she's down with the kids, even though she's almost 40.
I'm not that old.
So, sorry, we've not stuck to Dom's scripts at all yet.
No, Georgia and Kelsey catch up.
That was the catch up.
Oh, right, that's it.
We're just catching up.
There we go.
So my mum's so funny.
I was like, can you take your radio to gymnastics?
She was like, honestly, she went, I couldn't think of anything worse because she had the boys.
My brothers did gymnastics for years and years and years and years.
And they were in the same squad as Aurelia.
So she is also done the three times a week.
I take her three times a week for an hour.
And I have to sit there.
And she was like, if you're back, you can come with me.
I was like, okay, Diane.
She's just so funny.
My mom, because she just doesn't care.
She's like, I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting down that gymnastics club.
I've paid my time.
Yeah.
And saying that, look,
The boys used to actually break their fingers
and she used to send them to gymnastics.
Did she?
She was like, well, there's nothing you can do about it.
Just get on with it.
Get down there.
Get conditioning.
Get training.
But the thing is, right.
How does Cooper get from here to be?
Because I had to hold him.
He had to hobble along with me.
Well, if it is that bad, he might have,
well, I don't,
maybe a big toe you can actually do something about if it's broken.
Maybe I'm not being soft enough because I should be taking him to the hospital.
Maybe he needs to go to the hospital if it's that bad.
I don't know.
He's your child, Jill, child.
Oh, I don't know, Kelsey.
You don't know whether they're...
Honestly, at this stage.
Can you put weight on it?
Can you do this?
No, he can't put weight on it?
Yeah, but can he actually not put weight on it?
Well, I don't know.
Anyway, surely Danny's got a crutch line around somewhere from his injuries.
I mean, 100% has got a crutch.
It's in the shed. I've seen it.
Yeah, can't get that down, put it down from him.
Get him mowling on that.
I get coop for a little crutch.
I did say to him, there's a surprise on Friday, so let's hope your foot's better by then.
And he was like, yeah, okay.
But then Danny said to him, you know,
you need to go to school because mummy and daddy have got to work to make money to do nice things.
I was like, you can't say that to him because now poor kid's going to be petrified.
If he's too ill to go to school, but then mummy and daddy won't have any money.
That's it.
We will have nothing.
Yeah.
There's got to be a little bit of.
I get Danny there what he's coming out with because he's just testing the water.
Yeah, I understand it.
But then I also don't want Cooper to feel like he can't actually.
Oh, no.
All the general parent us out there will be like, you cannot do that to your child.
You know what? And I'm not, like, I actually am not a gentle parent. I'm just a bit of a soft touch sometimes.
But I am quite, you know, I do tell him off. He doesn't walk all over me. But I did say to the PE teacher who called me in to tell me he'd injured his foot. I was like, is it an injury or is it an injury?
Yeah. And he went, I said, because he does seem to get injured quite often, because he does. And he went, 50-50. I was like, okay.
Oh, right. So I think- That's still hot there, isn't it?
Yeah, I think sometimes it maybe is real
and then sometimes it's just not.
Anyway.
I love the belief for our children.
Right, half term.
What did you get up to?
Well, every half term it seems that Danny is working
and because I work from home, what happens?
He plans it, he's like, half time, could I just have to school?
Clever man, yeah.
Term times.
Yeah, and he did, to be fair, he was like,
no, Cooper can come into the studio and I was like, yeah, but...
It's boring for Cooper.
Yeah, it's not fair and...
I was working from home, but then the problem is when you're working from home, right,
all Cooper sees is me sat there either on my phone or on my laptop for the entire day.
And it's really hard to explain, mummy's working.
Like, I know I'm here, but I'm not here.
And then I just feel hideously guilty.
So I'm trying to, like, work, but then I'm trying to, like, entertain him.
And then I'm doing nothing well.
That's what it feels like.
It feels like...
But why don't you just be?
book off half term as well.
Well, next time, next holidays.
I would just have the holidays.
I'm going to do that.
I'm going to just, or either, I'm going to book like.
Book him into a course for two days.
So sign him up to football or performing, I don't know,
whether he likes to do.
There's so many options now as well for children that you can go to.
Around our way, they do a golf.
Oh, do there.
They do a golf half term club.
Well, he does golf.
Oh, maybe I need to look into that.
Yeah, there's so many options now.
I'm actually surprised.
Obviously, I've got a performance at art school.
Yeah.
I actually get so surprised.
I'm like, really,
because even that competition for us
with what's out there now,
it's like they can literally do whatever they want, aren't they?
Yeah.
So you know what?
I think the problem is with me and Danny
is we are both hideously unorganized,
like horrendously unorganized.
And I do hate that about it.
I used to be really organized person
and then I married Danny Jones.
Well, why don't you actually just get someone to come in to help you for that,
to just schedule a little bit?
I think that's what I need to.
I mean, you could just pay me and I'll help you do it.
All right, okay.
I'll imagine sending him off to your performing arts school.
Yeah, but we're too far away from each other.
He would love it.
But it is that like prep, isn't it, going right, we've got half term.
Tuesday and Thursday, he's going to go to a club.
I can work them two days, other three days.
I mean, normally, send him off to mum and dads.
Yeah.
But this half term, I think mum and dad got wise.
And they were like, we're off on holiday.
Also, the thing is for me, George, is when I was younger, my mum had to work.
And my dad wasn't around.
And I used to have to go to my nans.
Because my nan worked at a school in a unit for autistic children's special needs.
So she would always have the same half term.
I always get sent to my nans.
And obviously, my nan didn't drive.
I used to have to walk everywhere with her.
and it was very basic.
Like, you know, we used to walk to the local shop,
maybe get some rolls and whatever for lunch and walk back.
Like that would, and I would watch TV.
Like, I feel like now the children have so many options with, you know,
the trampoline parks.
We went to Ninja Warrior for a birthday party on,
I should do a happy face because that was one of the mum's parties.
And we went to Ninja Warrior on Sunday.
You know, I think cinema, there's so much phone at us parents.
that I think it makes us feel guilty if our kids are just sat at home.
But do you know what?
It's good for children to be bored.
Because when they're bored, they start getting their toys out
and they start playing with stuff.
And it actually is good for them to be a little bit bored.
Yeah.
Do you know, actually, like, when he was bored and I said,
look, you're not going on your switch anymore.
Then the next day, obviously I felt hideously guilty for giving my child a head.
What did he do after he did that, though?
So, I think he had a little rest on the soap.
Oh, bless him.
I just rested his eyes for a bit
But then the next day
I said right
We're not doing screens this morning
We're gonna do something
I need you to do something
That's not involving
And then he went
Can I watch YouTube
I'm like
That's a screen you plonker
I was like drawing or building something
Or a jigs or go and play out on the
I think the problem was during half term
The weather was pretty shocking wasn't it
Couldn't even go and plan the trampoline
And he we've got this den building set
that my mum and dad bought him
Yeah, that looks really good.
Oh my God.
And he just spent, like, hours building dens.
And then he kept, like, covering it over and then going in there and having his lunch in there and, like, just having a nice little time.
So that actually bought me a lot of, like, guilt-free time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How was your half-term?
Well, we went to Teneree.
Oh, she...
Because Kelsey is a forward planner.
No, I was actually working.
Were you?
Yeah, I was working.
I was working with Jet 2.
Nothing beats the Jet 2 holiday.
Were you allowed to use that?
Yeah.
The kids love it as well because they're like,
Mum, nothing beats the Jet 2 holiday.
And I'm like, no, it doesn't.
You are right.
And did you have a lovely Jet 2 holiday?
Yeah, and we said in this hotel,
the GF Victoria in Tenerife.
I couldn't recommend it anymore.
Are you being paired to say that?
Honestly, this is not an ad now.
It was so good.
It was so good for kids.
Was it?
It was literally they had a water park.
But also what was nice, it wasn't all just on like one level.
You know, like when sometimes you go and it's like the water park's there.
Yeah.
So you feel like you've got to be at the water park.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was like over a few levels.
So the water park was up on level five.
So we'd come out, go to the family pool.
I'm lucky because my kid actually, well, one of my children, guess which one,
loves going to the kids club.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
She absolutely loves the kids' club and it's not pushed from me.
Do you know what I've noticed on your stories?
Poor Bodie's quiet because you can't get bloody words, you're doing.
I might really just let your brother talk, will you?
No, I actually have to say to one, when I pick him up from school, I'm like, right, it's
Bodey's turn to talk now.
Yeah.
But he's so easy going that he doesn't actually care.
Yeah.
But he doesn't really like going to Kids Club.
He likes being with me.
Oh.
So, yeah, she did Kids Club.
they had, so up on this level five where they had the water slides and whatever else,
they also had tree climbing, they had rock climbing.
Like supervised or like, yeah, supervised.
Not just a tree that kids could climb on.
No, it was like a, you know, a bit like.
Oh, go ape.
Go ape.
It was like go ape-esque.
Do you know what I was thinking of that pub chain that always had a tree that had a slide coming out of there?
Yeah, what was that called?
I don't know.
We just have one to us.
Like a Toby Calvary but not.
Yeah.
No, it wasn't that.
So yeah, they had that.
They had like a surf, like if you had older kids, they had a surfing machine that you could do that.
There was so much, even for the older ones, they had like arcades and gaming stuff.
Like, Cooper would absolutely.
Five.
Oh, bogey.
Five.
But everyone I spoke to was like, we come back here every half term.
Really?
Like, that's what they do.
They're like, we go other places other times a year.
but every February half term
when we go back to here
and I was like, I got it.
Do you know when you go to me
you're like, I can completely understand
because everything's here
the kids are not bored.
Was there an adult's pool
where you could just score
when the kids were in the kids?
So there was an adults pole there
but they also,
so they had an adult's pole
which was like
one of them infinity poles
but when I went it actually up there
it wasn't really an infinity pool
it was like this tub
that it was really cool.
Yeah.
I didn't go in there
because I was like
you know when it's like CIFRA at the bottom
I was like literally, I'm going to look massive going in the...
Oh, what? People could see you?
Yeah, could see you.
And you know, like, I'm not going there.
I do not need a picture at the end of that.
I always think if you do a bit of a breaststroke and your bikini bottoms just slipped to the side little bit.
Everyone would be seen.
Yeah, full on.
And then they had, on another level, a nudist part.
Stop it.
Yeah.
I don't know how busy that was.
I never went up there, but...
I mean, I'd have gone up there just to have a look.
I noticed to look, but do you actually want to see an old man's penis?
I'd be intrigued.
Would you?
Because a bloke I spoke to was like, I went up this morning, I went, oh my God, what did you see?
And he was like, and there was a man in the hot tub naked got up like, for long.
No, that's not for me.
To be honest, hot tub's full stop, make me feel a little bit funny.
I do go in them.
But when you think about it.
A naked person in it.
A naked person.
A naked person.
But then I guess we are all naked in it though, George, because all we've got is a bit of cloth covering.
True, true.
So yeah, my half-term was really good and it was really nice.
And it was just me, mum, and the kids, which was lovely for us.
to get away.
Oh, was it?
So Will wasn't with you?
Will didn't come.
It was just us and people
funny or lying as well?
People would DM me like,
are you and Will still together?
Oh, God.
I'm like one,
Will doesn't really even like social media.
I mean, I keep telling him
that he needs to come
and bring main character energy
to my Instagram.
Not sure he's going to do that.
I don't know if he's got it in him.
Sorry, him in his dressing gown
he didn't look too happy about his own.
No, that's what I said to him.
No, and also I put him on there
because I was like,
I know people just knows he,
but I want him to be like,
we've not actually split up.
You're still my boyfriend.
Thank you.
Weird.
Because everyone literally believes what they see online.
Of course they do.
Of course they do.
So, yeah, he didn't come.
He had to work.
He probably had a lovely time.
Oh, he probably had a nice little break.
Oh, he had a lovely break without us.
Yeah.
So, yeah, and it was just nice to get away.
We only did six days because my brother Bobby turned 21.
So we had to come back for Bobby's 21.
Oh, happy birthday, Bobby.
I can't believe he's 21.
It's quite scary.
How old Bobby?
What do you do for it?
Oh, we went out to a steak restaurant.
Oh, is that what he wanted?
That's what he wanted to do.
Yeah, bulk.
I love it.
But yeah, it was really nice.
It was lovely to get away.
But again, it is that juggling,
because obviously we did have to film content.
Oh, of course.
So it is quite hard when you're there.
Did you feel like you were having to do it all the time,
or did you feel like you could just like chill?
I chilled a bit, but obviously you do want to.
And also, where it was so good,
you actually want to capture how good the hotel was?
Yeah. It's like Catch 22, really, isn't it?
Because we're so looking.
You've just got to look good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know.
That's the problem with my content.
I'm like,
I just don't shoot it in the best way.
Yeah.
Like,
how do I make this look good?
I have a guy that comes and film with me sometimes for certain things because I'm like,
I need that extra bit of help sometimes.
And also someone's eyes on it are different than your own eyes.
Yeah.
Totally are.
But yeah,
it's catch 22 really,
isn't it?
Because like,
it's lovely that you,
you know,
you get a free trip or whatever.
But at the same time,
there's a fine line between.
getting all the content you need
but also being able to relax
and chill and actually enjoy it as a holiday
people would be like stop moaning you and on a free holiday
Yeah it's hard though isn't it because you are working
It's like you're on holiday but you're working
Yeah and you want to actually do best by the brand as well
And I do think Jet 2 holidays are actually grateful
I'm not working for them right now
Are a good package holiday for families working families
We always had package holidays when we were younger
throwing up, it was the easiest way to do it.
Because everything was included, wasn't it?
It was like transfers, hotel, flight.
Yeah, it's all in one.
No, I'm with your cows.

When you're abroad, though,
like, did you feel like you were,
you had to be different types of mums,
like work, mum, and then just normal mum?
What, like when you're...
Yeah.
I know what you're saying.
it's hard to be...
Do you know what I found more stressful?
It's actually coming home and actually back to reality
of being work mum, home mum, isn't it?
Yeah.
I think juggling is so hard.
And like you're saying,
I mean, I think we talk about this all the time on here,
that being on your phone,
people just think you're on your phone,
but it's like I'm actually working on my phone.
Yeah, that's what's hard as well.
Even Danny said it to me the other day.
It was like, you're on your phone all the time.
I was like, I know, but I'm trying to work.
And I think the problem was,
I think it's looked like I've been on my phone
all the time.
over half term.
Because I've been on and off it constantly,
I'm never finishing the job I'm doing.
So I'm like halfway through editing a reel
and then Cooper, you know, I'm like,
I need to pay Cooper some attention.
So then I go and do that.
And then by the time it gets like tea time
and Danny gets home,
I still haven't finished one.
Yeah, you're like, I need to do this now.
I need to get this done now.
So then it'll be like he'll be cooking dinner
and I'll be trying to finish off editing this content.
And it just looks like I'm just sat there scrolling.
Do you know what I do to work?
I'll be like, right, I'm tapping out or like I'm tapping in.
So I'll go like that to him or like try and high-five me.
He goes, what are you doing now?
I'm like, well, I'm just tapping out because I just need to go and do something.
So you're in charge right now.
See, I think that's the best way to do it actually because what I do is staying in the same room
because I don't want to feel like everyone thinks I've just like disappeared.
So then I'll stay in the same room and try and do it.
Yeah, and they're watching you.
Just say I've got to go and do this.
What I should actually do, yeah, he's going to have to go and do some work and leave the room, go into a different room.
Just make out you go to go and do a voiceover.
I do do.
Just got to go and do a voiceover, sorry.
Silence.
Just got to go and do a voiceover.
The juggle is real.
And also the juggle what I've got now is Storm.
When I'm trying to work on my phone, Storm just wants all my attention.
And I'm like, I'm just trying to do something on my phone storm because the doggins love a cuddle.
Oh, do they?
They are really needy, and she just is like on me for a cuddle.
And I'm like, I just need to do this.
So then in the end, even with her, you feel a bit bad.
Like dog, dog mom life's heart as well, Joel, you know?
Yeah, exactly why I refuse to get a dog.
I mean, I don't know why you lot do it to yourself.
Oh, because I love her so much.
Harry and Izzy, I've got three kids, but a dog,
and now they've just got a bloody cat.
I don't know how they do it.
Same with Tom and Gee.
They've got three kids, they've got chickens, they've got a dog.
I don't think they've got cats anymore
Oh we got some lovely eggs from Tom and Gee
Fresh fresh eggs from their chickens
I know
I was very... And it came in a purple box
Which made me very happy
Oh that's cute
So 40 before 40
Oh no
Where are we at with this project
Have you actually ticked anything off?
No I haven't finished the frigging list
Oh my god no one do you don't get anything done
What can I know?
I haven't had chance
Right Kales
I'm really stressed
Because the pressure to finish off this list, do you think I should just...
I just think you need to scrap the list.
No, I'm not scrapping the list.
Georgia, you've not really got time to do 40 before 40 right now.
No, I do because I do.
No, because this is...
Why don't you just do 10 before 40?
No, because that's not got the same ring to it.
It's got to be 40 before 40.
But some of them can be like things that...
Finish the list?
That could be the top one.
Write the list.
Right the damn list.
I am going to do it.
No, I'm going to do it.
it. I'm going to do it. It was so funny because I sat with my manager the other day,
third day and we were talking about it and I was like, it's fine because like if I work it out
like what, it'll be like one a week and then I was like, oh no, because it's 52 weeks in a year
and it's February. This is what I'm saying to you. I was like, so that isn't, no, so I'm
two months down. Yeah, this is what I'm saying. So I'm going to have to do more than one a week.
Yeah, right? Let the list go. Let it go. I'm not. Kelsey, I'm not. Kelsey, I'm not.
doing it. I'm not letting it go.
I bet you we come back in two weeks time and she's still not finish the list.
Right.
It's going to be, she's going to try and cram everything.
She's going to do 40 days before 40 and just do everything one a day.
Yeah, but there's some things I can do in one day.
Like, um, I don't know what, but it could be something simple, like taking myself for lunch and then something else.
I don't know what.
I'm panicked.
I need a poo now.
She's called it all on.
She's called it all on and now she doesn't know what to do.
That's great.
I am going to do it though, and like there's loads of stuff on it that I'm, that, no, sorry, not on it.
Loads of stuff.
Yeah, nothing's on it.
What are you going to put on it?
I need to sit down and have an hour where I sit down and write the list.
You just take too long to do anything.
On the way home, just do it.
Just get on with it.
Okay.
Put your phone down.
Maybe Kelsey should be my manager.
Or are you going to write it on your phone?
I'll write on my phone.
Yeah, but I feel like when you use your phone.
Should I write it on a piece of paper?
Yeah.
Take a piece of paper and you leave in a pen.
Don, can you get me a piece of paper?
Ready, please.
take home with me. And then do it on the way home.
Thank you. Okay, right.
Because the phone distracts you.
Yeah, it does actually. Because then I'll just flick onto Instagram.
How many times do you go and go, what was that?
I actually came on here for something. And then you'll be on something so random.
I do that all the time. You're deep in TikTok and whatever else. And you're like,
oh no. What did I come before? What was I been to do?
I am doing something that's on, that is on, I have started the list, but there's only about
10 things on it. But I am doing something next week that is on the list.
Which is what?
I can't tell you, but I'll tell you when I've done it.
It won't go out before.
I can tell you.
Going on a retreat.
Oh, nice.
A running retreat.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
Nice.
And that is one thing that is on my list.
So.
What, a running retreat?
Yeah, well, a retreat.
A retreat.
I'd quite like to do another one that's not a running one.
Yeah, a bit more relaxing one.
Yeah, like a relaxing retreat with crystals and all that shit.
Yeah.
Oh, that shit.
That's more shit that I like.
I know.
I don't mind a crystal.
I'm hosting one on.
Sunday.
Are you?
Mum and me, it'll be really nice.
Maybe I should come to one of your,
one of your, Christy things.
Yeah, that could be on your list.
Okay, I'll put it on my list.
Put it on your list.
Go on with Kelsey.
Anyway, we've spoke about it before I'm not going back into fear.
Right, we listen and we don't judge.
I had a full activity plan for half term.
We did none of it, not one thing.
Sounds like Georgia.
Whoever you are, whoever you are, I love you.
Can we be friends?
But like what I'm saying, sometimes you don't have to do all the
active it is.
You can go for a nice walk over the woods and do something chilled.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think that Instagram puts so much pressure and I do blame the phones.
I think we're fed so much of people, you know, going away, doing it, doing everything.
Can you think I've got a part to play for some people by going on holiday?
They think, should I be going away in February and doing this?
Like, I think that we're fed all of this you need to do.
You need to do.
We should be going out here.
We should be going out for meals.
Like, there's only so much.
much money you can spend as well.
Oh my God, I know.
It gets so expensive.
Just go into the cinema.
Yep.
Cinema.
Well, because it's not just cinema, is it?
No, because it's, I mean, I do not buy the snacks in the cinema.
You take it in with you.
Yeah, it's that legal.
No.
Oh, can you do that?
Yeah, I think you can take whatever you want in.
I'm not sure you're allowed, but our cinema sells wine, so sometimes I might
get a little wine whilst we're in the cinema.
But even the thing is like, it's like at least 30 quid for two people to go.
Everything.
I mean, literally.
we're moaning but it is i just think the world is so expensive i googled is it okay to be
relieved when school goes back after one day and a half term is getting too much for me it wasn't
even lunchtime bless it for googling it is it okay yeah just put that into your chat chat gpt
because they'll tell you it's okay it's okay you work really hard Kelsey you work so hard it doesn't
matter if you want your kids to go back to school yeah hey listen i'll tell you it's okay it's
Absolutely okay.
Sometimes it's just a lot.
The thing is, though, I do think with school,
like I love them going to school,
but I also like the break from doing everything
school-related as well.
But also, look, we've got World Book Day.
Have you got World Book Day this week?
I was just moaning with another mum on the way here, my friend.
She was like, literally, it doesn't stop with the school.
Bodie's got forest skills.
Cooper's swimming starts.
Yeah, and then he only needed new wellies.
Then they wanted rain trout.
I was just...
I know, do you know, the only reason I'm prepared this year for World Book Days
because I'm doing a job and it's reminded me that I need to be prepared for World Book Day.
So thanks for...
What is Cooper Garan as?
He's either going to go as Spider-Man or Tom Fletcher's book's bass band.
Yeah.
Which actually has... The audio has Mcfly music in it.
The main guy in that and he wears a little green overall and has a guitar and stuff.
Oh, do that one. That's really cute.
I know, it's quite cute, isn't it?
So, yeah, one of those two.
What about your kids?
Bodie is going, is going as the Gruffalo.
Oh, cute.
He's going to look so cute.
And then Aurelia is going as violet from Charlie in the Chocolate Factory.
Very good.
You painted a purple?
Yes.
And we've got the full-on.
No.
Brilliant.
Is it one of those ones that you blow up with air?
No.
Oh.
No, Chudel.
We've made it.
We've made it.
My aunties made it for her.
Of course, she's got a maid.
outfit. I've ordered a wig today. Oh what like a little blonde bottle? Yeah you know the one
yeah yeah yeah the latest Charlie yeah I felt guilty for being overwhelmed during half term but then
immediately also felt guilty for enjoying five minutes alone yeah it's that that typical mum guilt we get
guilty for everything everything you do and then they just put it on you as well I went out Saturday
night and my kids were like what do you mean you're going out I'm like I'm going out for dinner
yeah let me let me let me let me let me
Yeah, I'm just going out of dinner with my friends.
Let me live.
We spent a lot of time together.
On the first day back, I forgot it was my turn to pick up
and got a call from the school asking where I was.
That actually puts the fear of God into me a little bit.
I can't bear the thought of Cooper stood there being like,
where's my mum and daddy?
It breaks my heart.
No judgment here, though, no judgment.
There's no judgment.
But, I mean, I reckon a lot more parents have done that than you realize.
Yeah.
Yeah, especially when the communication is not there.
I forgot to wash the pea kit again,
so I just sprayed it with deodorant, fair.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean.
I can't keep up with the washing.
When they come back from school and what they actually look like,
I'm like, Bodie, what have you actually done?
Just rolled in beans today or something.
I don't really understand.
It's the felt tips and pain.
I'm like, do you not protect these children's clothes?
Yeah, because we're the ones that have to do the washing?
Yeah, and they're pretty sure that you shower things,
it doesn't come out.
