Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey My Mom's Basement listeners, you can find our episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube, and Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. Hello and welcome to My Mom's Basement and another Oasis edition of My Mom's Basement with Nate. Big. This is becoming a new segment. Big. Big episode. Huge episode. I mean, we thought the last episode was big, us talking about the reunion. This episode we're talking about going. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:00:25 We got tickets. 297 days? I think so. I have the countdown on my little tidbit thing at home. It tells me every minute, every hour. And I set it to 9 p.m. as well, UK time. UK time. 4 p.m. Eastern time.
Starting point is 00:00:40 So it's like the time they go on stage. So every day at 4, if I'm there, home for it, I could see the switchover the days go. It's great. It's actually happening. It's actually happening. So we got tickets. We on the last show debated whether or not we have to go to the first show. And we talked about how hard it would be getting tickets to the first show. It was hard. It was basically as hard as we thought, But it was as hard as it could be when I was 511 in the queue. I got insanely lucky. I've been trying to put into words how miraculous it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:15 People don't get it. So we waited up until 4 in the morning for tickets to go on sale East Coast time. Yes. And since two of the shows are in Ireland, those went on sale 3 a.m. East Coast time. So since I was awake anyway, I clicked on get in the queue for one of the Ireland shows. And I was number 500,000 whatever, like high 500,000. And I was like, holy shit, this is going to be impossible. We'll do our best, but like.
Starting point is 00:01:50 I almost gave up when you texted me. That not gave up like I wasn't going to try, but mentally I prepared myself for like, okay, this is impossible. Honestly, it made me feel a lot better because it's like, okay, this is like so. And some of those people are just clicking it to see the number. Of course. But you still have to wait in that line. is like so and and some of those people are just clicking it to see the number of course but you still have to wait in that line by the time i clicked out of the ireland show to go to just a normal cue our show the cardiff show fourth of july i couldn't it kicked me off take it kicked
Starting point is 00:02:19 me off the ticket site yeah you got a queue to go buy tickets, essentially. Yep, and I couldn't get in. You, smart lad, were already in. Yeah, so we had played a pop punk show. If you don't know who pop punk is, you might not, because we have a lot of UK listeners to the Oasis segments. We have a cover band at Barstool. We had a show in D.C. We played, and then immediately after the show,
Starting point is 00:02:44 from midnight to 3 a.m., drove to Philly. And I was like, this is actually going to be perfect, because I'll be able to sleep on the bus a little bit, and then I'll get to Philly at 3, have to stay up for an hour, and I'll be good to go. I get to Philly. I get to my hotel room. The Wi-Fi is not working. So I have to go on a hotspot right away, and that paired with your Ireland story being 500,000 in line for that, I was like, all right, there's really no chance.
Starting point is 00:03:07 On a mobile hotspot, this is going to happen. The queue comes closer and closer and closer, two minutes away, one minute away. And then it says like, you will be given a number shortly. And that went on for like 60 seconds. So I was like, all right, it's to the point now where maybe my mobile hotspot just didn't work. And maybe this isn't even going to give me a number. Then the number says 511 and my heart starts racing my hands start literally i took a video like my hands were
Starting point is 00:03:31 shaking because i was like oh my god if i'm 511 we're getting tickets i couldn't believe it like that literally means you're going to get tickets our last like little text i i need to find it so funny because we were it was kind of like what you said you had already like kind of like mentally been like yeah it's probably not going to happen and I just reply someone has to be number one why not you and then the next thing holy fuck like a screenshot or whatever and now this is mentally I'm like I need to lock in and make sure I get these tickets but also I'm buying the tickets for the both of us. I want to like, let you know what's happening. Like, I almost want to let you in on like, all right, we're 511, we're 473, we're getting closer. It got to the point where I wanted to stop letting you know what was happening because I put four tickets in the cart because we wanted
Starting point is 00:04:20 to get four tickets, have extra tickets, maybe bring friends or whatever. And I hit purchase, and it was like 800 pounds or whatever. And I guess my credit card company was like, that's weird. He's trying to spend 800 pounds at four in the morning while he's in Philly. And the process is, you know, in the UK, it declines my card. And it kicks me off the site for a second. And I can get back on and place the order again. And I try to use a credit card.
Starting point is 00:04:49 I use debit card first time. I try to use a credit card the second time declined again. And this happens, I want to say five or six times where every time I go to do it, it's declining me. At one point I try to film myself cause I'm like, Oh, this could be good content for the Oasis fans listening to stuff like this. Me actually,
Starting point is 00:05:04 the moment I'm getting the tickets, I hit record on my phone. The hotspot turns off. I lose internet connection to my computer. And I'm like, oh, my God, I just fucked myself trying to get tickets. So now I'm like texting you vaguely being like it's not working. But in my mind, I'm like, I don't want to tell Nate my card is getting declined right now because that I was like, maybe he'll try to send me his card. And that'll just be more of a headache, more of a whatever. Eventually I get an email before it even says I got the tickets on the site. I get an email confirmation. You got the tickets. So,
Starting point is 00:05:34 and I was just like confirmation. I, none of these orders even went through. What do you mean? Confirmation? I got the tickets. Then I get the like insurance and your insurance is confirmed. Check the site. They're're on there i refresh a couple times i wound up having to get the two tickets yeah because i guess my card was like there's no chance you're spending 800 right now so reasonably priced for face value obviously 200 a piece standing room only but it's confirmed we got the tickets i check on them every morning now in my ticket master account it just refreshed just refreshed. They're still there. It's beautiful. When you were telling me, like, I have them, but I don't, I wasn't panicking because I was like, this is what happens to these sites when a billion people want to get tickets.
Starting point is 00:06:16 In the history of ticket sites in rushes like this, 100% of the times, those sites have failed. Yes. Like, it's never worked properly you've never heard someone be like oh yeah as soon as the tickets went on sale everyone that wanted to get tickets got them it was great so i was like i wouldn't even i and you i think you can't even be mad if you have them in the cart or you see them and then it just doesn't work yeah it's because it's like that's just how shitty the process is. But that being said, once I had them in my car, I was 511 in queue.
Starting point is 00:06:48 That, like, my mental state was starting to decline as my card was getting declined. Because I was like, oh, I was this close. So demoralized. I was the lucky one who won the lottery and lost the ticket. Yeah. Like, and I've had those moments in my life. Yeah. Remember when I got really into Hamilton?
Starting point is 00:07:04 I loved Hamilton. Sure, yes. How could I forget? When the original cast was in, you could play a lottery to get front row tickets every day. Yep. And I won the lottery and I forgot to, like, I took a nap and it was like cash in by 4pm and I woke up at 4.01pm and it was like, you won the lottery and can't go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:20 So I've had those moments where I was that close to getting sought after tickets. Not that I can compare Hamilton to Oasis, of course. But the fact that we were that close, it almost didn't happen. And then it did happen was like the greatest rush of all time. I think I texted you at like six in the morning. Like, all right, I got to go to sleep because we have a show tonight. Dude, I. I was just up pacing into Oasis songs, like almost on the verge of tears every time a new song would
Starting point is 00:07:45 start. Cause I'd be like, Oh my God, what if we hear this one? But when you said that there's only 511, so you're 512th or whatever in line, I guess. I was 511. So there was only 510. Got it. Yeah. I, it was like, I believed it, but like, it was hard to like understand.
Starting point is 00:08:02 It's like, because it's, it's so random too. Like, if you don't know it wasn't like because i was early i was 511th in line as far as i know it's completely random like 9 a.m uk time hits and everyone gets assigned a completely random number one through possibly 500,000 and then i got five of the rest of us who were just waiting in line to get into the line, like I would guess there were, I don't know, if I was 500, 14 million was the number that tried to apply for what was altogether something like 1.4 million tickets so it's like it was really slim and i almost feel bad like talking i know like this because dude because we're gonna have people in the comments that are like fucking yanks got the tickets and i did the people mad at you in the tweets it's like people are mad and i'm trying not to brag
Starting point is 00:09:04 it was just so happy i want to i'm trying not to brag it was i'm just so happy i want to talk about i'll say this it was they weren't over i think most people were happy for you most people were yeah i think it's more frustration with the process and then people it's very easy to start conspiracy theory oh they're closer to the servers like we're saying the american servers weren't as overloaded as the uk i don't think that makes any sense at all uh yeah it was luck of the draw it was just but i could also imagine being a 40 year old irish guy or oh you know yeah i from manchester who didn't get to get tickets you're watching this and you're like the fucking guy someone who queued up you know in 1994 to watch them in a basement
Starting point is 00:09:42 yeah and then it's like old Robbie Fox. And I get it. Hey, we're stimulating the economy over there. Maybe stimulate the Cardiff economy. Listen, if you live in Cardiff or you live in, we could use recommendations. We could use a couch possibly. But any recommendation you have for Cardiff, we'll take food. There's something you got to do.
Starting point is 00:10:00 We'll go a couple of days early. Maybe get the sights and sounds. Also, I would still like to go to that second show the show which like i'm not married to that yet if i just have the one show i'm very happy with that but if anyone has extra tickets for the the next day hit us up we will go with you there's a lot of planning we have to do now a lot of plan flight wise hotel wise i all the hotels are overbooked all the airbnbs are overbooked some people are just offering up their backyards have you seen saw that have a tent in my front yard but you also have to give me a ticket which i think is a fair trade yeah i do too i like if i were from wales
Starting point is 00:10:34 i would maybe feel the same way if i didn't get a ticket i've been having some thoughts where we have that week off i've never really been i mean i've been to england yeah uh i went to paris for like 12 hours and that's about it you know i want to like kind of maybe fly into ireland or amsterdam and just see the sights and sounds of another country is amsterdam close like two and a half hour train i believe i'd be i'd be open to that i feel like you're an amsterdam guy yeah i think i'd and that yeah they do the weed there yeah they do the do the weed. Yeah, I think I'd be an Amsterdam guy. And so then I was thinking,
Starting point is 00:11:06 like, can you just stay in another country? And so concerts, as you know, are at night. Can you just take a two-hour train from a whole different country
Starting point is 00:11:16 and take a two-hour train after the show? This is the ignorant Americans in us talking, but like, if the trains run that late, I would definitely be down to do that. That sounds like something that makes sense to me. This is why ignorant Americans in us talking, but if the trains run that late, I would definitely be down to do that. That sounds like something that makes sense to me.
Starting point is 00:11:28 This is why we need our- If we have a train post-Oasis concert at midnight and get back at two in the morning, that's fine. How perfect would that be? It'd be perfect, yeah. And I don't think we're going to be able to find a place to stay close very easily. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Because all the hotels were like, we booked way too- Because I think when the dates leaked initially people were smart and they just booked hotels the second even before oasis like announced we're back and yeah all the hotels are coming the scumbag hotel owners who are like a computer problem like literally those were all the reservations and then hike the prices 100 yeah uh i mean capitalism oh hey i'll be I'll be in London like a month from today. I'll be in London.
Starting point is 00:12:08 On my birthday. Well, I'll be in Florence, I believe, a month from today. Oh, for my birthday? But on October 4th, I'm going to London, and I'll scope out the scene a little bit. I'll look for places for us to stay near the city. I'm hoping that when I go to London, I think I said this on the last one we recorded, there's a little bit of oasis mania going i hope that i could walk past
Starting point is 00:12:28 record stores and see merch for sale definitely definitely i mean liam just got announced as the official stone island ambassador which is like how did that not exist already so you're just gonna buy a ton big ass park is that picture i sent you yesterday of him in the XXXXL parka. Walking Buttons? Yeah. Very funny. Yo, Buttons is my boy. Another thing I had on the list to talk about on this little mini Oasis pod, lineup rumors.
Starting point is 00:12:56 One of the beautiful things about living on the East Coast in America is every morning, at least most mornings, we wake up and there's some new rumors. New fresh rumors. As soon as you wake up, the rumors have been circulating in the sun or the mirror or the scum, as they call it over there. Nice. They'll like that. They'll appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:13:13 There are rumors that Andy Bell, the bassist that was with Oasis for the majority of the 2000s, and Zach Starkey, the son of Ringo Starr, who was with Oasis, again, for a decent amount of time in the 2000s, will return to the band. That very much surprises me. I thought Chris Sharrock, who's been with Noel for the past, like, 16 years and ended as the Oasis drummer, would do it with them, and I also thought he would take Russell, his current bassist, to play with him. I would like
Starting point is 00:13:41 this more. It's another thing that I'm not, like'm not like dead set on though if you tell me that it's liam noel and the rest of the high flying birds i'd be fine with that and i'd consider it oasis as much as i would this this would be cooler cooler to me though yeah you understand dynamics of who's playing drums and bass or whatever way more than i do i'm there for the songs you you have more musical understanding interchangeable I do than I do drummer changes the way Oasis sounds a lot yeah I just I don't pick up on that type of thing I maybe if you like pointed it out to me I would be like oh I hear it now like something as simple as uh the way Alan White plays the beginning of supersonic he plays it on the rod symbol and it's a little
Starting point is 00:14:25 more like he does roles like tony mccarroll when he plays drums it's a lot of do ka do do ka love it and uh alan white is more like it's more roles and stuff alan white if if i'm considering the oasis drummer i would say it's alan white the most talented guy to ever drum an Oasis I would say is Zach Starkey and that's who I saw you said uh in 2005 and then he ended yeah with Chris Sharick because Zach Starkey was also the drummer of The Who so Zach would come in a lot of time record the albums I think he did two albums with Oasis I think he did Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry and Sharrick did the final one. But yeah, I think he is the most talented. And from a look perspective, he's the most rock and roll.
Starting point is 00:15:13 And also it's just cool having Ringo's son as the drummer of Oasis. I wonder why they did that. Yeah. Andy Bell, I just like turn up the sun. He's a great songwriter. I'm a turn up the sun guy. Great songwriter. He was a guy who didn't
Starting point is 00:15:25 know how to play bass when he got the call to be oasis guitar player right guitar player front man for ride which is a band that they just thought was cool and they were like if you know how to play guitar you know how to play bass which is correct um and he just had the look i think the look was more important to them than anything he just looks cool he's probably a good hang dude he probably is i follow him on instagram he seems like a cool like he has posts and shitty i'll post some of the oasis songs he's written also a great songwriter i mean they'll have the respect to let him write a couple songs and open with turn up the sun the sun keep the dream alive is great keep the dream alive great a couple great great song forgot about keep i think
Starting point is 00:15:59 a bell will ring might be him or maybe i'm just thinking that inside your head i don't see it listed i would like them back in the band i think i think uh gem gem gem gem he's in obviously i think bonehead i think has to be in boneheads nah there will be riots there won't be riots he's uh he's a he's a cold hero yeah him being in the band feels right especially because he hasn't performed with oasis I know. He's a cult hero. Him being in the band feels right, especially because he hasn't performed with Oasis since the 90s. Well, they want someone a little more up to tune, up to speed. Play the bar chords.
Starting point is 00:16:36 That's all he needs, yeah. And then the keyboard player for the High Flying Birds, I forget her name. She'll probably be their keyboard player. They always went, keyboard always changed. Liam got his Twitter back. I had that. He's just been so funny. I said to you at one point, he wasn't tweeting for days after the reunion got announced.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Definitely by design. Definitely by design. Hey, Liam, don't screw this up. I said to you, was that part of the contract? If Noel's going to sign and reunite the band, it's like you take Liam's Twitter away from him. I want that to be run by a PR person. But no, his Twitter's back, and he's tweeting some funny shit.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Dude, he's very online. So online and so funny. I couldn't. So I go to his Twitter and hit replies because he replies to everybody. I couldn't finish yesterday's. There was too many like everybody we've never gotten a reply how if we never got a reply from liam all i say is msg msg msg msg we gotta call him a rasta more often maybe that moon and rasta msg bumba clark msg look like some of the best tweets is like you know how's noel been and he'll respond and he's
Starting point is 00:17:46 like he's beautiful yeah never say another bad word about that gorgeous young man and then he'll be like he's been hitting me up all day all night i'm gonna have to get a restraining order from this guy yeah just so many funny tweets where it's just like i don't know what the dynamic is between them still obviously we haven't seen anything between them but i would kill to know what it's like. I would kill to be a fly on the wall for this alleged Paris vacation with Peggy. Them sitting at the dinner table with Peggy, are they making each other laugh? Are they just like individually saying things to Peggy and having their own conversations with her?
Starting point is 00:18:20 I think when they're together, they're— I think they're probably boys again. They're two pretty funny guys. Yeah. Me and my brother have never had a single fight. And it's different because we're 12 years older. You're very. Like 12 years apart. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:31 I can't imagine not talking to my brother for a week and then like being able to talk to him. Like we would be like, oh my God, so much shit to talk about. Like are they, is Liam telling funny stories of that time he fell off the helicopter last year or whatever? I was saying to you, think reminiscing i when the documentary comes out my take is the kids liam's kids and anaya's noel's daughter i think they had a bigger part of this than we realize right now because the cousins seem that they all hang out with each other and are friends. And for months, at least. Yeah. And then if they go on a family vacation with Pegster, I think that just the dynamic of the kids now being adults and being able to hang out with their parents who are now also adults.
Starting point is 00:19:19 I think that just makes everything so much easier and just way more relaxed. And then like they, I think Nolan and Liam are, they're, they're minding their own business and they're two separate houses right now. But when they get together, it's going to be fucking fireworks. Like it's going to be all fireworks in the good way. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Like not in the bad way, not in the bad way. Is there any chance? Like, I'm going to say no. What do they go out after the show together? Do they drink together? It's probably, they're probably kept pretty separate, right?
Starting point is 00:19:47 Different, obviously different buses and different green rooms. But they're older. Like, they have, like, pretty comfortable lives. They love making music. We know that. Yeah. They both never stopped doing Oasis songs. They love doing their songs.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Like, Liam stopped for a little bit. I think. PDI. I mean, I don't. They're not drinking until four in the morning anymore, you know? Liam. I think Liam has his nights still. But Liam's also like a holistic, I'm one with nature, zen guy.
Starting point is 00:20:18 I was thinking about this the other day. Do you think they're still stoners? Yeah, I'm sure they smoke. Yeah. But like, do you think that like they're like, do you think Liam's smoking every night? Do you think Noel's smoking every night? Probably Liam. Probably not Noel. I was thinking about that because you can't tell.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Liam listens to a lot of Bob Marley. Yeah. A lot of Bob Marley. He's the most chill bro on the planet, actually. Yeah. And, like, he'll post, you know, those random pictures from his garden where he's, like, dressed as a wizard. He's just a happy guy. What is that?
Starting point is 00:20:42 He's just a happy guy, man. He is. Super happy guy. What is that? He's just a happy guy, man. He is. Super happy guy. Honestly, I sent you a clip from the Matt Morgan podcast that the last one Noel did, which was kind of like
Starting point is 00:20:49 a random clip of him like kayfabing the reunion. Yeah. But in that podcast, he seemed like very happy and like laughing so much. And I know he is that way with Matt Morgan,
Starting point is 00:20:58 like that's how he is with his boys. But it's kind of refreshing to be like, oh yeah, like he has a reputation as this notorious grump who hates everything. He's not always like that a reputation as this notorious grump who hates everything.
Starting point is 00:21:05 He's not always like that. He's still a grump. He is. He's curmudgeon about some things but he laughs about it. There was a clip that went viral on Twitter, Oasis viral on Twitter, of Matt Morgan explaining what a dilf was to him.
Starting point is 00:21:20 I didn't see that. And he just laughed. So he was like, a dilf? What's a dilf? And he's like, come on, no. He's like, a milf. You know what that is? He's like, ohf what's a dilf and he's like come on no he's like a milf you know what that is like oh oh dad oh and he's like starts laughing about it he tells him what a zaddy is because people call him null zaddy oh here's a weird part of oasis twitter obviously i haven't gotten to zaddy oasis twitter it's it's infiltrating my for you
Starting point is 00:21:40 where i think it's like young girls i think it's like girls like 20 year old girls talking about Liam and Noel in the 90s like oh my god I want to fuck him so bad and it makes me really uncomfortable because these are like old dads now and they're taught but they're talking about them like their 90s selves yeah exists currently it's very strange but it's a weird corner of Oasis Twitter I'm not down with. And what's your burner on this? No burner at Robbie Barstool. Yeah. I'd fuck, you know, right on there. Yeah. All right. There's a lot of talk of stress when buying tickets in this episode.
Starting point is 00:22:15 We talk about, you know, dealing with site failures, sites going down. I'll tell you where you're not going to deal with that. It's game time. Game time is the stress freefree way to buy tickets, and it's the official ticketing partner of Barstool Sports. We love getting out to live events, whether it's a concert, a football game, a comedy show, whatever it is, we always use GameTime. You know they're the best in the business. And now they have their brand-new GameTime Picks feature,
Starting point is 00:22:41 which makes them even better. I'm looking at game time picks right now in my area lincoln park playing their comeback show next week at the barclays center 124 dollars gets you in the building deals are available now you could get into the patriots at jets game for 82 dollars metlife stadium sabrina carpenter if you're a fan of her Madison square garden, $301 gets you in the building at the end of the month. Uh, really good stuff. Red Sox at Yankees hoodie night. I love a good, uh, gimmick night, 39 bucks, 39 bucks. That's how much you would pay for the hoodie. So it's basically a free ball game. Uh, go to game time. Now it is the best in the business.
Starting point is 00:23:22 As I said, pull up your chosen event and turn on the GT Picks tab at the top of the screen, or you could just browse the best local GameTime picks near you on the homepage. What are you waiting for? Get those tickets now. Download the GameTime app today and use code MMB to easily score great deals with new GameTime picks. What time is it? GameTime. So another thing, we talked about doing a draft but
Starting point is 00:23:47 before we do a draft we said maybe do is we're gonna do a song from each album which is gonna be so hard i don't maybe not a draft maybe just like all right what song from what's the story would you most like to hear live and when we say that like we wouldn't be like wonderwall you know what i mean yeah because we're going to hear that live. Of course. So what songs do you want to hear? So it's going to be weird. The parameters of this draft and the instructions are confusing me already.
Starting point is 00:24:14 No, I think we're good. But I wanted to bring this up first. Oasis set lists generally are around 18 to 22 songs. That's what they would generally play, especially towards the end in 2009, their final tours. Yep. Nebworth, kind of the same thing, I believe. Yep.
Starting point is 00:24:30 I have listed out what I believe are their must-play songs, the songs that the band absolutely has to play at the reunion. There's 14 of those, I believe, which leaves six to eight, maybe, let's say, stretch it and say they play 24 songs. Could be 10 surprise songs. Here and this, I'm glad you say that. They were playing 90 minutes for a while.
Starting point is 00:24:55 This has to be, they have just too deep of a catalog and too many must play songs to do 90 minutes. This has to be two hours. I think 145 to two hours 145 i'd be fine 140 90 would feel a little bit like oh fuck it's like we waited 15 years and it's over 90 minutes still be happy just happy with one song it just isn't enough let me list the songs that i consider must play okay and then i have another 17 that i think could slot into the other spots do you include like a super deep cut somewhere in there i wouldn't say super deep but some deeper cuts and along also i don't think they're honestly i don't think they're gonna play a super deep cut
Starting point is 00:25:39 going to the first show i think did we say this or did I text you this? You're just on your toes for the first note of every- I hope the set list doesn't leak. If it does, do not let me see it. I don't want to see it either. No, I will- The idea of every single song being a surprise is insane. It's like a Royal Rumble. I'll literally inject myself with every drug until I'm brain dead,
Starting point is 00:26:02 just so I forget that I saw the set list. That sentence might have just gotten us demonetized. Let me list the must play songs. See if you agree with these as must play. I assume so. Rock and Roll Star, Live Forever, Supersonic, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Slide Away. Those from Definitely Maybe. Surprised you're putting Slide Away in that tier.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I think like we talked about last week. Because that's not like a staple staple. But the way the fans, especially. I'm with you. I'm with you. It's almost they're like, to compare it to Taylor, I think we said this before. All Too Well. It's like they're All Too Well.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Yes. Where it's like slowly becoming like one of their most popular songs ever. Yes. And I feel like people in the UK would say it's not even slowly. People in the UK feel even more strongly about bro uh so co-worker hank got into oasis after the supersonic yes uh documentary and so you and i were sending him songs and videos and stuff we both sent him slide away uh chicago acoustic and he was like yeah that's my number one of course it is like like the top comment on that
Starting point is 00:27:06 being like no left part of himself on stage that night every time i watch that video i read that comment i'm like fuck yeah i like cry every time i watch so good but that's even though hank got into oasis six months ago whatever slide away is already his number one yeah it's just that so good perfectly good of a song so i do think it's must play for them. Yes. Then I have Hello, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, Some Might Say, Morning Glory, Champagne Supernova, which crazy that they're all from the same fucking album and those are all must play, but they are. Then I have post the first two albums. I think there's only, and really two of these songs are from What's the Story I Have After
Starting point is 00:27:42 That. I think there's only three other must play songs. Stand By Me and then The Master Plan master plan acquiesce yeah um i don't think there's necessarily any must play songs other than that from why did you put some might say and um i think some might say it's must play uh well i just thought you meant it's not like uh don't look back in anger though you know it's not a it's not a not but i, though. You know, it's not a... It's not, but I think it's a must play. I hope they play to me, not a must. I would be stunned beyond belief if they didn't play it.
Starting point is 00:28:14 I have a some might say tattoo. It's such a staple of Liam's set list. You know, solo set list. He's had to play it. I feel like Liam's solo set list is also a good indicator of what's uh but see i'm not trying to put any stock into that simply because it's both of them and they're gonna i just feel like he was picking the right songs where he knew what he like he knew the songs that the crowd would go crazy for i want to hear stop crying your heart out well i had i was gonna ask about that one i was gonna ask is it i don't play? I don't know why it doesn't get the love.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Your third most streamed song on Spotify. Dude, it's a huge song. Personally, I don't love it. I really like it. And if they play it live, I'll weep, I'm sure. But it's not like a must play. Oh, it's a beautiful song. It is.
Starting point is 00:29:02 It's beautiful. Bro, I'm going gonna get a soft track cast no shadow that's another one i have is my it's like right on the verge where i would consider that a must play but i don't know if i like i can't guarantee they're gonna play that no me neither but i love that song so my other ones that i think yeah are right on the verge columbia yeah shaker maker whatever i think it could be. That will be. It just will. I think it should be.
Starting point is 00:29:26 It just will be. Talk Tonight, Roll With It. I think they'll play Roll With It, to be honest. They have too many songs, man. Cast No Shadow, as we mentioned. Do you think Round Our Way can make it to 200? I would say then there's the Little by Littles, Round Our Way. I love Round Our Way, and I'd love to see it with horns and shit.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I think that's such a cool live song. Also such a classic Alan White song. That's like the most Alan White song I would say there is. Don't Go Away. Round Our Way is on Plugged, right? I think so, yeah. Yeah. With Noel singing it.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Yeah. I guess Noel sings live a lot with Round Our Way. I think he sang it at Nedworth as well. Or no, Liam sang it at Nedworth. Don't Go Away, Gas Panic. I would love Gas Panic.
Starting point is 00:30:07 That would be amazing. The best song of Familiar Millions. Little by Little, Songbird. I think there's any chance we get Songbird. Cute little short song.
Starting point is 00:30:14 A little two minute ditty. Turn Up the Sun. I don't think they'll play that. It'd be sick to hear it. Lila. I think we get Lila.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I think we get Lila. I think we get Lila. I'm Out of Time. Probably not Lila. No chance. No Lila. I think we get Lila. I'm out of time. Probably not Lila. No chance. No chance? No. Dude, no way.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Liam song. Big Lennon Liam song. Do you think? I didn't even consider that. He hasn't played it live, so probably not. It's hard to sing to with that falsetto. That wasn't even a song I even thought about. Then I have the Shock of the Lightning.
Starting point is 00:30:43 I don't think they'll play, but I love that song. And then my final one, do we get a cover? Do we get an, I am the walrus and a come on, feel the noise of my generation. We'll get a Beatles cover. Hey,
Starting point is 00:30:53 my, my, we'll get a Beatles cover. I'd like that. I would honestly like a cover. I, I feel like that's like kind of like a staple of Oasis. It is.
Starting point is 00:31:03 I would say closing the show with a, a cover is a staple, I would say. And their covers are always so good. But I feel like they... They don't mess with covers. It'll have to be a new one. They've... I think a new one. It has to be, right?
Starting point is 00:31:14 I don't think it has to be. I think if they closed with I Am The Walrus, it would be such a badass close for the show. Or My Generation. I'm not nostalgic for an old cover. If they do a cover, I'd like it to be a fresh one. I would like I Am The Walrus, My Generation. I'm not nostalgic for an old cover. If they do a cover, I'd like it to be a fresh one. I would like I Am The Walrus, My Generation, Come On, Feel The Noise. Also, did you put Morning Glory in that?
Starting point is 00:31:32 Morning Glory is one of my must plays. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I think you have to. Wouldn't – But also, they didn't play that live. They didn't play the intro live, which bothered me.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Wouldn't stun me if Morning Glory is just like not – No, you got to. Just wouldn't stun me. The 30th anniversary of the album, too. Yeah, that's true. Forgot play that live. They didn't play the intro live, which bothered me. It wouldn't stun me if Morning Glory was just like not. No, you gotta. It just wouldn't stun me. The 30th anniversary of the album, too. Yeah, that's true. I forgot about that part. What's the story heavy? All right, now if we were to do a draft of songs that we really want to hear live,
Starting point is 00:31:56 I'll give you the first pick. You're the guest on the program. And again, this is what song do you want to hear most from the album live? We'll say that's what it is. Every album we're going to go through, pick a song, and that's the one you want to hear the most. What album do you want to start with? Definitely maybe.
Starting point is 00:32:15 We'll start at the beginning and go to the top. Okay. Let's start with definitely maybe. Song I want to hear the most. Oh, God. See, this is when it gets really hard because it's so easy to say cigarettes and alcohol right that's so that's the chalk pick I know so and you could have that pick and this is convoluted because then it's like what you don't want to hear live forever it's like no it's okay you're right I know you're right you're okay you're
Starting point is 00:32:38 right you're right you're right so okay from definitely maybe can I say slide away because I'll say slide I'll say slide away i but what's crazy is slide away is my favorite song i might want to hear cigarettes and alcohol live more that would be my pick yeah i would say cigarettes and alcohol and i have live forever tattooed on my collarbone but it and again like a slide i like slide away and supersonic and maybe rock and roll star more cigarettes cigarettes but cigarettes is the live song it's the jumping and you know singing the guitar part out loud yeah oh i'm so excited to do that by the way american crowds don't do that i've never done that in my life it's so annoying because that's
Starting point is 00:33:18 the song for me you know what crowds are great at that muse if you ever watch or listen to a muse live album they do the guitar parts for every song yeah so jealous of those crowds okay now what's the story we're gonna get a lot from what's the story for sure what's the story random one like they're not gonna do this but like she's electric live i don't know if they ever played might have played it live once or twice but hey now i don't think they've ever played so if we're assuming we're gonna get like don't know if they ever played. They might have played it live once or twice. Hey, now, I don't think they've ever played live. So if we're assuming we're going to get, like, don't look back in anger, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Of course.
Starting point is 00:33:50 I mean, so you have Live Forever tattooed on you. I have a lyric from Some Might Say tattooed on me. It's right there if you're watching on the internet. Sunshine follows thunder. Sunshine follows thunder. Great lyric. So maybe Some Might Say, just so I can be like, oh, that's that. But probably, honestly, hello.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Oh, really? It's good to be back? That moment's going to hit. Yeah. Casano Shadow, I love, too. I think hello for the little weeping that I'm going to do there. Hello would be great. For me, I'm going real back and forth between Casano Shadow and Champagne Supernova. But I think I'm going to do there, Hello would be great. For me, I'm going real back and forth
Starting point is 00:34:25 between Cast No Shadow and Champagne Supernova, but I think I'm going to go Champagne Supernova because I think that's going to close the show or the set before Encore. Close the set for Encore, yeah. And I feel like just like the moment of them going off, maybe they'll bring fucking Squire up to do the guitar solo. It's just going to be like that's the moment
Starting point is 00:34:44 where you watch the Nebworth documentary and you're to be like, that's the moment where you watch the Nebworth documentary and you're like, shit, I wish I was there. Champagne Supernovas. But Cast No Shadow would be awesome as well. That's the most maybe emotional song like that, them singing together on it.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Morning Glory could open the show easily with that riff. I know you were saying that. When you listen to it at Nebworth, they just go straight into the... You need the helicopter. You need it all. Then you need all that.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Actually, that's my new pick, Morning Glory. Morning Glory? That song just fucking goes, dude. It does. That song goes 100 miles per hour. The whole song, no breaks. The verses of that song always make me just want to walk like Liam. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:24 My official pick is Morning Glory. All right, all right. Be Here Now. I feel like you know what my pick on this one's going to be, but what is your pick on Be Here Now, an album that I fucking love? Yeah, we made a concept album. The concept is we did cocaine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I want to hear 15 minutes of All Around the World. That'd be so awesome. I love All Around the World. Do the All Around the World and then bring it back for a reprise for the album. I don't want to hear 15 minutes of all around the world it'd be so awesome i love all around the world do the all around the world and then bring it back for a reprise for the i don't i don't want to hear 15 minutes of that i mean i do but uh if we only have 90 minutes i don't want 15 to be that uh probably don't go away they'd be so good people don't talk about how every song on this album other than magic pie is so fucking good magic pie is not even that bad but my big mouth fucking rocks man my stand by me rocks i hope i think i know rocks the girl in the dirty shirt rocks So fucking good. Magic Pie's not even that bad. But My Big Mouth fucking rocks. Me and my big mouth.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Stand By Me rocks. I Hope I Think I Know rocks. The Girl in the Dirty Shirt rocks. Fading Out with Slide Guitars from Johnny Depp fucking rocks. Be Here Now rocks. It's Getting Better Man rocks. But I'm going to pick Do You Know What I Mean? Because as I mentioned last time on the Oasis segment of this podcast,
Starting point is 00:36:20 it was the song that really got me into the band more. I knew wonderwall before i knew do you know what i mean but watching the music video for this just seeing how badass they looked how badass that song sounds they all sunglasses yeah all my people off the train like after that point yeah coming off what's the story with the lyric all my people right now right here right now do you know what I mean? Feels like a fucking call to the fan base. There's so many just like epic mega songs.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Epic. Anthem. And the single album cover of them just standing there. That was the first single off Be Here Now, right? Had to be. Probably, yeah. Had to be. I would assume.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Yeah, I think Don't Go Away and Stand By Me are just such. Don't Go Away at GMAX. Incredible. That's incredible. They're on insane amounts of coke for that show as well. What about The Girl in the Dirty Shirt? Yeah, I think I, don't go away and stand by me, or just such. Don't go away at G-Max. Incredible. That's incredible. So they're on insane amounts of coke for that show as well. What about the girl in the dirty shirt? I love that song.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Yeah. Great song. All right. Let's not put that on a 22 track set list, though. I would prefer, like, I hope, I think I know. That one live would go well. Let's just do. Or even just Be Here Now, the song. Liam did that at a solo show in like 2018, Manchester.
Starting point is 00:37:29 It was a small gig and it was awesome live. Can I change my definitely maybe to do you want to be a spaceman? No. Vetoed. Fair enough. Standing on the shoulder of giants. All right. Now it's going to start to get a little tricky here.
Starting point is 00:37:43 It's going to start to get a little hard here. It's going to start to get a little hard here. Let me get a track list. Fucking in the bushes doesn't count. No, it doesn't count. It has to be gas panic. What do you mean? Yeah, it has to be. But if you're going to take gas panic, I'm going to take Sunday morning call.
Starting point is 00:37:58 No, I actually like that song. Noel hates it. Oh, does he? Yeah, I saw a post about it recently in the comment when he did commentaries for all the music videos apparently he like looked at the list and saw it was next he goes i fucking hate this next song he also just say he like hates every album besides definitely maybe yeah so yeah he's so bad i'm gonna go with go let it out and i almost picked roll it over i love roll it over but if we're seeing oasis on the comeback show,
Starting point is 00:38:26 I don't want six, possibly seven minutes taken up by Roll It Over. So I'm going to go with Go Let It Out, one of their most Beatles-y songs ever. This and Who Feels Love, I think. I would say Who Feels Love I like more than Go Let It Out. I think I like Go Let It Out, but both of them have great bass lines.
Starting point is 00:38:40 I think I like Go Let It Out for the bass line more, though. People don't like Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, huh? I mean, Little James is arguably the worst song. No, I'm a Little James defender. The lyrics are bad. The song itself is good. That doesn't make sense. No, I think there's plenty of songs with bad
Starting point is 00:38:58 lyrics where the songs are good. A lot of Limp Bizkit songs. True. The lyrics are bad, but the songs are fucking badass. Little James is the worst song put on an album by them. I'm a boy,
Starting point is 00:39:15 I play with toys. Roll it over there. That was roll it over I was doing. See, I got my... They make noise, we are boys. Yeah. Fred Durst says like,
Starting point is 00:39:24 I'm gonna fart on a fucking chocolate starfish and put it on your windshield and smack a bug on it like a fucking diaper. And you're like, well, Wes Borland's guitars are going off. John Otto's drums are going off. Heathen Chemistry. Good album. Underrated album. I actually really like this album. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Jack Mack's favorite song is Hindu Times. It is. Yeah. Great demo. Check out the demo of the Hindu Times if you haven't heard that. So Stop Crying Your Heart Out in a heartbeat easily for me. If we can get 80,000 people swaying and weeping to Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:02 I love Little by Little also. Love Little by Little. I love Little by little also love little by little i love little by little i love songbird songbird's always been the uh talking to the song lady fox nice when she calls me songbird place she's my little songbird uh i love born on a different cloud as well i feel like born on a different cloud could be a cool uh like moody moment in the show again though for the same reason as roll it over i'm not gonna pick it at six minutes long i'm gonna pick she is love yeah love she is love and it could be a cool noel song that's like i would rather hear noel play this than the importance of being idle which oh you didn't put that in your list that was probably that probably should
Starting point is 00:40:40 have been on the second tier of my but that's probably not a must play that's another that's another tier called they're probably just gonna fucking imagine they opened with that how deflating it would be oasis comes on stage to fuck in the bushes in here everybody be looking around like this guy's serious you know what let's all grab a drink for the next song yeah but i think that song is like huge in the UK. I think it is too. It's not bad, but I'm over it at this point. It's like one of those very British-y sounding songs that would not be popular here.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Like Noel's been doing it live for 15 years post-Oasis. It seems like a song that he thinks is supposed to be special. Yeah, it's okay. It's good. When they do it live, I'll say when because i think they are i'll be singing my heart out but you know yeah uh don't believe the truth classic classic uh jesus um lila another good album that uh renee young renee Paquette from AEW loves. She doesn't know.
Starting point is 00:41:49 That tweet was like very hipstery. Hey, we all know Definitely Maybe is the best album ever, but don't forget about Don't Believe It. No, come on. What? It's the fifth best album. No, I saw that tweet and I said real ball knowers know. That was like, I appreciated that tweet. I was like, yes, you fucking know.
Starting point is 00:42:03 You know what you're talking about. It has to be Turn Up the sun or lila there's no really other song to worth playing a bell ring i actually do like a lot i disagree mine is definitely keep the dream alive really yeah keep the dream alive for an entire felt like it's a bad song the summer of 2020 i think i listened to keep the dream alive a thousand times it was my go-to smoking song it's just like it's a bad song the summer of 2020 I think I listened to Keep the Dream Alive a thousand times it was my go-to smoking song it's just one
Starting point is 00:42:28 it's just one of I'd throw on Keep the Dream Alive it just begins with that fucking guitar is so good it's just one of those songs I just
Starting point is 00:42:35 don't really know or how do you feel about listen to Let There Be Love live they've never done it live they did
Starting point is 00:42:42 they mimed it once for a TV show oh really yeah I like the song I don't think it's Let There Be Love live. They've never done it live. They mimed it once for a TV show. Oh, really? Yeah. I like the song. I don't think it's a... I think it'd be a moment live if they did it. I don't think it's a bad song.
Starting point is 00:42:53 I don't need to see... They want to close with Let There Be Love? Sure. I'm all right with that. Kind of sick. Yeah, I'm all right with that. Come on, baby. Yeah, no, i don't dislike let
Starting point is 00:43:05 there be love at all i think lila is hands down the best song on that album it is and it's the reason it was the single real radio hit like it was their last true radio hit um foo fighters do a cover of lila yeah i like lila a lot okay i like their covers it's a little screamy but it's it's good um and then the final album dig out your soul not an amazing album but there's a little screamy, but it's good. And then the final album, Dig Out Your Soul. Not an amazing album, but there's a couple on there that I would be happy to hear live for sure. I'm Out of Time? Would that be yours? I like I'm Out of Time.
Starting point is 00:43:38 There's really three or four on this that I really like. Ain't Got Nothing. I actually think it starts strong and it kind of falls off a cliff, but like Bag It Up through I'm Outta Time is pretty good. Dig Out Your Soul isn't terrible. No. It has a couple terrible songs.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Get Off Your High Horse Lady might be my least favorite song in the entire catalog. Yeah, I don't know how that made the cut. It's that and Mucky Fingers. But even To Be Where There's Life, I don't hate that song. I don't dislike i don't know how that made the cut it's that mucky finger but like even even to be where there's life like i don't i don't hate that song i don't dislike that i love that yeah like another go like the turning is fine like they're all just very soldier on is pretty good uh do we include boy with the blues that song kind of bangs
Starting point is 00:44:18 no let's do let's do one on this and then let's do we'll do b and then we'll do B-sides. All the B-sides. Yes. Just all of them. You're going, I'm out of time, I'll go... I'm out of time is also a Liam song. It is. Yeah. To Be Where There's Life is one of my favorites,
Starting point is 00:44:37 but as far as a live song, I think the Shock of the Lightning works the best live. It has that cool drum solo and the bridge. I don't think we see anything from Dig out your soul i don't either i i i don't want to say i'd be surprised if we saw something from don't believe the truth because i think we might get lila yeah that's what i was thinking too i think 90 of the show is going to be the first two albums on the master plan so now and the b-sides yes yes let's go if you were to hear any B-side live, includes the master plan. Does it include the master plan?
Starting point is 00:45:06 Because, yeah, it's the master plan. Yeah, it's hard not to say that. And Aqueous, obviously. The master plan, Aqueous. Half the World Away, Talk Tonight. I mean, those are all, that's the big four. Those are the big ones. I would throw out their uh rockin chair rockin
Starting point is 00:45:28 chair would be so good and i don't want to be a party pooper on rockin chair but there's a video not on the song itself there's a video of liam that goes viral on oasis twitter pretty often where people are like oh my god he pointed to the spot where noel used to stand when he said and you're not standing there whatever the lyric is i'm 90 sure liam is telling the guy on the side of the stage to put his vocals up because the guy on the side of stage stands on the side where noel would stand and the entire show liam is pointing to him and giving the up or the down depending on what he wants and i never want to be that guy to reply and be like well well, actually, I think he's not. But people are just like, look, he missed Noel so much.
Starting point is 00:46:09 And I'm like, I don't think he did. Let the lore live. I miss you, Noel. I wish you were standing there. But I'm going to throw out... Fadeaway? I love Fadeaway. I love the acoustic version of Fadeaway. Fadeaway is so good.
Starting point is 00:46:25 I'm going to throw out Let's All Make Believe. Incredible. I don't think they've ever done it live. Incredible. But another one that kind of has a history within Oasis fandom. Yes. Of like, this is the song we're directly addressing. Like, let's pretend we like each other for the sake of this band.
Starting point is 00:46:41 You know the great, a great part of this show and the tour i guess is any song they play all 80 000 people are gonna know it will yeah like if they played that the crowd would sing it yeah it was like a normal there's not gonna be they couldn't do it at met life when they come to america i don't think i don't know i think when they do america it's gonna they'll be wonderful moron There'll be Wonderwall merchants. And I think they're going to know. I think they're going to know that going in. I think it's going to be weird for them to play in America, though, because the crowds are just going to be so different.
Starting point is 00:47:12 I think it'll be better than you are thinking it is. But I also agree. I don't think it's bad. You know what? There was a lot of tweets about like, oh, 21 year old girl only knows Wonderwall. They're not buying tickets they're not spending the that's what i was thinking is they're not i don't think it will be like that like i saw paul mccartney at metlife and everyone in the crowd knew every word to his songs even
Starting point is 00:47:36 some of the newer ones got like a good crowd reaction it's not like well 20 year old girls only know hey jude so they're not gonna go see pa McCartney It's like well Paul McCartney has an audience Of already built in fans I think it's going to be a generational thing too I think we're going to see a lot of kids And like brought by their parents I don't think they'll have a problem Doing deep cuts in America
Starting point is 00:47:58 I just think I don't think they will I don't think they'll have a problem but I just don't think they will You think they'll change the set from I think very slightly they will. I think there's... I don't think they'll have a problem, but I just don't think they will. You don't think... You think they'll change the set from... I think very slightly they will. I think that, like, two or three songs that are maybe on the deeper cut side, they'll swap with, like, a What's the Story song. Sure.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Like, if they're not doing Cast No Shadow or Roll With It, those will get subbed in, I would predict. Or maybe even, like, another Noel Master Plan song. But the thing is one they hate changing the set list two they might not give a fuck they just want to sing the songs that they want to sing for the people like you and i who are gonna love it and america's it's gonna be formatted differently there's no way met life is gonna be standing room only the entire floor i would assume they'll do a pit and then seats i don't know yeah you're
Starting point is 00:48:47 probably right wrong when we did this we debated whether or not they could do met life and it looks pretty pretty like locked in that they are going to do met life i was thinking they could only do city field i would love for them just do msg but oh that'd be so awesome yeah warm up for met life that's the another thing i brought up to you. We do have to prepare ourselves for the reality that there's a chance they do do a small warm-up show before Cardiff.
Starting point is 00:49:10 I don't think they're going to do it. I don't think so. But I don't want to get my hopes up all the way that like it'll still be the first main Oasis show that we're seeing. We'll know songs. Yeah, we'll know the set list.
Starting point is 00:49:22 And we'll have to watch every leak. I would prefer, yeah, I would watch every video. I would prefer, yeah, I would watch every video. Yeah, I would prefer they don't do a small show. So Liam and Noel, if you're listening, don't rehearse. No small show. Peggy? Don't rehearse, but, you know, in the privacy of closed doors.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Peggy needs to keep that under lock and key. And Paul. Don't forget Paul Gallagher. No, fuck Paul. No, I'm joking. Paul is probably going to be, you know, DJing the after party. What's Paul up to? Is he DJing? That's all he does, yeah. I think when Liam does like a Manchester show. Heing the after party What's Paul up to? Is he DJing?
Starting point is 00:49:45 That's all he does Yeah I think When Liam does like a Manchester show He does the after show Yeah DJed by Paul Gallagher Oh they should include Paul
Starting point is 00:49:51 Have him do like a little Turntable set Play them like a triangle Yeah Paul will be the opener There's all this rumors about Paul got a bad deal On this whole thing
Starting point is 00:50:00 What did Paul do wrong? What if Paul reunited him? Yeah we're not giving Paul any credit Shut up Paul Paul's just I would love to have Paul on Yeah, we're not giving Paul any credit. Shout out Paul. I would love to have Paul on the show if Paul would love to do a... Can you edit out what I just said? About Paul?
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yeah. No, he's not listening that late. I have nothing bad to say about Paul. I don't know why I said that. No. We got nothing bad to say about Paul. Paul's going to come on the show one day. Tell us about how he reunited the brothers.
Starting point is 00:50:22 We'll get Liam and Noel. What was Paul? I don't know a lot about Paul. Was he just like an insurance salesman, or was he getting kickbacks from the boys just to chill? I think he's getting kickbacks from the boys to chill. Like for the last 30 years? I would assume, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:36 I think if you're Liam and Noel Gallagher, your family doesn't work. Definitely not Peggy. No, obviously. But I don't know. If Liam and Noel hate each other. We don't know what they thought about all P. I believe Paul was pretty close to Noel or to Liam. We know if he was close to him.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Yeah. We don't know about that ass or I don't know. At least. Yeah. He's close enough with Liam that I hope we get all this. Paul was in the, he talked a little bit in the Liam documentary that as it, as it was,
Starting point is 00:51:03 I think as it is. Oh yes. Oh, yes. He was interviewed in that for sure. I hope we just get 90 minutes of Peggy. Peggy should narrate it. Peggy should. She does a decent amount of the narration for the supersonic doc. I just need all.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Good part of that, too. We need more Peggy. We need a lot of Peggy. We need the documentary. We need some kind of footage. We need more pictures of them. Like, I almost wish the pictures of them are great, and I love them. It's my Twitter header photo already.
Starting point is 00:51:28 I almost wish they took more in different settings so it was more obvious that it wasn't Photoshopped together. I know they were together. There's pictures that prove that. It'll all come out in the doc. We need that doc. It'll happen. Does the doc come out before the first show or no? They got to have the first show in the doc.
Starting point is 00:51:43 After the tour. After the tour. Because it's a tour doc. It's a whole thing. Footage before that. Or is it Mystique, like, no footage. They walk on stage and they're larger than life. It literally has to be, like, for two hour.
Starting point is 00:51:55 There's so much from now to then. The final thing I wanted to bring up. Liam is now claiming on Twitter that the new Oasis album is done. People are saying, hey, no way. Like, what do you think? Someone said new Oasis album in the works. And he said it's already in the can. No way. He also said at some point that he's like recording in November, recording a new album in November. Someone said that would line up with when Noel said he needed a break from something in the Matt Morgan show. I do think there's a chance we'll get new music. I don't think that's out of the picture. I just find it hard to believe it's done and recorded.
Starting point is 00:52:31 But he hasn't lied to us once. He was the boy who cried wolf for 15 years, and then he was like, Oasis is back together. We were like, yeah, sure they are. And then two seconds later, he was like, Oasis is back together. He's right. He's telling the truth. He told us when he did a photo shoot with Noel. It's hard to believe that there's a finished Oasis album.
Starting point is 00:52:54 There's a chance there is a finished Oasis album sitting on fucking Andrew Wyatt's desk. But Liam has not told a lie. Yeah, 2024 Liam is a truth teller. Stop him when he tells a lie. Well, we might have to stop him on this one this i because again i could believe that there's a new song and maybe he's saying it's a record in the same way the grammys will give record of the year to a song i could believe a song is i could believe a song i don't think an album is done i i i think if they were in the studio that much, well, I guess they could have done it separately.
Starting point is 00:53:28 People would have seen them. People would have seen them. I mean, they have home. Noel has been spotted in the studio twice since the reunion. They have home studios. The studio he claimed to have shut down. Yeah, I'm sure they can record it at home too. I think they're pretty rich.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Yeah, yeah. That's all I have for this segment. We don't know how often these Oasis pods are going to come out. It's not like a weekly thing unless we start getting weekly news, I guess. But let us know. People seem to dig the first one. I was happy with the reception that the first one got from seemingly a lot of people that aren't My Mom's Basement fans in the first place. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Like having this new album. If you're watching online and you're a crossover of Star Wars comic books and Oasis. Generally, this is like a nerdy podcast. We do like Marvel stuff, Star Wars movies and stuff. But we have a lot of music episodes. I've interviewed a lot of musicians, especially in the rock world, the pop punk world. And also, if you're a wrestling fan, we do another like offshoot of My Mom's Basement like we do for the Oasis thing with Jared Karabas. So if you're someone in the UK that loves Karabas, this is the show for you.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Bro. UK fans. A UK Red Sox wrestling Oasis fan. Someone in the UK that likes Saugus like we like Manchester. Is Karabas an Oasis guy? He has to be. He is. He has to be, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:41 We'll probably have to go to Gillette with Karabas. That'll be an amazing. Probably get the VIP treatment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He threw probably have to go to Gillette with Karabas. That'll be an amazing. Probably get the VIP treatment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He threw out the first pitch at Fenway last night. I know. I texted him section 10, like, congrats to Karabas. All the Brits listening to this show now are like,
Starting point is 00:54:53 I don't know who you're talking about. Look up Karabas. Most juiced up meathead. But he loves Oasis. Loves rock and roll. Loves rock and roll. Loves. Horror movies.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Loves wrestling, horror movies. I love Derek Rose. Listen, this podcast covers a bunch of random shit. If you're into any of it, throw us the subscribe anywhere you're listening. What do you have to do? Hit the bell? Hit the Andy bell.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Hit the Andy bell. And on Instagram, too, Robbie Fox. Yep. All right. We will talk to you the next time there's Oasis News to talk about. So if there's something big that breaks, come back here. And if you have a hotel room in Cardiff.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Or a couch, yeah. Or a couch. Or a backyard. Backyard. With a tent. A dog. I love dogs.
