Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi Curious Universe listeners. We are back and starting our new intergalactic exploration next week. We've got some exciting things in store for season four. This season, we'll take you on adventures with people who have some pretty cool jobs. I'm a planetary scientist at NASA Garden, and I look for life on other planets. I'm a project scientist in space crop production at Kennedy Space Center. So I'm a plant scientist by training. I'm a research test pilot at Armstrong Flight Research Center.
Starting point is 00:00:36 I've been a test pilot for more than most people been alive, probably. You'll hear about exciting work happening all over the world. You could hear the countdown going on outside, and all of a sudden it gets a little quiet, and then you hear the big boom, and you see the rocket taking off. It was so cool because the pulsating aurora can take up a huge, amount of the night sky so you could watch this rocket going up through the type of thing we wanted to see right in front of you.
Starting point is 00:01:06 To be able to predict the weather properly, it's extremely personal. I remember calling my mother and saying, I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but you're going to get hit by a hurricane. I like to think of the moon as this window into the rest of the solar system because we know more about the moon than we know about most other objects in the solar system because we have the benefit of having been there. So join us starting next week on our journey through the stars. All you need is your curiosity. This is something that's innate to our being. It's part of the human condition.
