As the underground trials continue and a Twee of increasingly ambiguous morals lights a cigarette, our crew meets the three trials of the cloak head on. Clearly this artifact was never meant to me uncovered by the foolhardy, or people who hate riddles. Hopefully everyone will make a patience saving throw against that goddamned riddle from last episode!

episode 18 left you guys at a weird riddle. You guys are deep beneath the earth. You made a spiritual sacrifice to banish a bunch of spiders. You're trying to get Zinzerina's cloak before the bad guys do. What you're going to do with it, I'm not even sure is your dungeon master, what you're going to do with it, but you know the artifact has been desperately hidden with lots of

traps and tricks, and you are now deep, deep, deep in the pit of the second sky confronting the first of what may be three guardians. Unless you think that crystal spider is a guardian. It's up to you guys if that's what you think happened. We thought it was

at first, and now I think it's this spider drow. Correct. A drider. You have encountered a drider, which is was at first, and now we think it's this spider drow. Correct, a drider. It hasn't made contact yet. What do you do? I'm waiting. Okay. It plants into the palm of your right hand the very tips of its fangs. Okay. And it pauses for just a moment to see how you react. Does it hurt? No.

Are you going to be turned into some sort of driver? Or is it just going to, it into some sort of driver? It's a test. I think it's testing me to see if it can trust me. Okay. I let it happen. It positions its fangs into your flesh. You don't feel anything because the fangs are so sharp and small.

Okay. And then you see its abdomen curls towards where the fangs were. And as the fangs pull out, its abdomen presses against the two tooth holes. And two little spines from its abdomen go into the two little holes where the fangs were. That's weird. What do you do?

Is it like webbing? Right now, you just see the abdomen. It's got two little prongs on it. And it goes into the two tooth holes in your hand. Okay. What do you do? Jesus. I ask what it's doing.

You're not sure what you see up the river of festerness on the map, uh it doesn't look like anything could easily go up the river uh the waterfall seems to continue a great distance down below do we see the cloak

no you don't see any physical objects just rocks sticking up out of the waterfall top can we fly down the waterfall uh well right now you can't do nothing. Let's go further down. Hovering Bodhi and Flying Tui are doing a scout check. See if we can find anything that we can grab onto. You go farther and farther down, and it looks like the waterfall is sort of rolling rapids for quite some time as the tunnel continues at an angle and continues as rapids and continues a bit of a distance into more of a linear tunnel,

just as your map suggests. I was going to say, the map has a Sarlacc at the bottom of it. I don't know if that's for fun. But you make it pretty far down the river after the rapids, and you still don't see anything floating in the river.
