Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey it's Brian and I grew up in Sonoma California and still have a lot of friends up there and I know we've had a lot of tragedies all around our country recently and this one really well literally hits close to home for me. A lot of my friends have lost everything, people that I've known for fucking most of my life, and the whole region is really fucked, and just anything you can do to help, I'm looking at ways I can help. I'm going to give to Red Cross.
Starting point is 00:00:48 I've done that a lot lately. That'll be the third time in the last two months. But I'm going to give to them and I'm working on, you know, stick around here. I hope to announce soon a benefit that I'm going to try to arrange at the point while I'm recording this. They're still in the middle of it. I mean, it's Wednesday, and they're expecting more fires through this weekend, and it's not like anything. I mean, I grew up with fires in our hills up there, but it never has been this bad,
Starting point is 00:01:19 and it's never been on the valley floor. My grammar school got hit. I went to Dunbar Elementary. It was hit on Monday. They lost a lot there. There's wineries that, you know, a dairy that I grew up with, just all these things. The place where my mom worked, Sonoma Developmental Center,
Starting point is 00:01:41 had to be evacuated. I mean, it's developmentally disabled people had to be taken out of their homes and put in shelters, and it's fucking crazy. So anything you can do, man, help me help them. Give to, you know, what were you suggesting, Dan? So there's a Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund that's currently taking donations. But Red Cross always is, and Red Cross is helping people up there.
Starting point is 00:02:15 There's also the Sonoma Humane Society. It's sonomahumane.org. My buddy John Ogata, a dude I've known since junior high, lost everything a couple of days ago and still had the sense of humor that he's had since we were kids, posted himself. He got two blankets from the Red Cross. And he was pretty stoked to get that second blanket.
Starting point is 00:02:48 And he Instagrammed photos of of his double blanket yeah his double blanket he's excited as a double rainbow watcher yeah he's a pretty good dude that he still has a sense of humor after losing fucking everything so uh for johnny and uh you know everybody i grew up with with and people I don't know up there that have lost everything. Please help. Thanks, man. Thanks for listening. We'll see you next time.
