You've just flown over a narrow river of burn. burning slime up into a little platform on the far southeast corner of the map. The far southwest corner of the map has the answers to all the horrors of the undercity. But for now, you're going to go sleepy bear time. We've got a Lehman's tiny hut being thrown up by Twitten. Now, I'm sure there's a simple answer to this, but can you remind me,

Lehman's tiny hut is just like, uh, that's not a concentration spell, right? And it's up for like eight hours. So you're going to want to go right to sleep you by. Let's see. Lehmann's Tiny Hut. Let me bring it up. Here we go. That's Hellman's Tiny Hut on the East Coast.

It's Lehman's Tiny Hut, which is just a 10-foot radius, so 20-foot diameter, immobile dome of force springs into existence around and above you and remains stationary. nine creatures of medium size or smaller fit inside. Creatures within the dome, when you cast a spell, can move through it freely. All other creatures and objects are barred from passing through it. Spells and other magical effects can't extend through the dome or be cast through it. The atmosphere inside the space is comfortable and dry, regardless of the weather. Until the spell ends, you can command the interior to become.

dimly lit or dark. The dome is opaque from the outside of any color you choose, but it is transparent from the inside. Lovely. Weird. So the only real catch is normally the way I do this, and I think

a lot of people do this, is if you're going to have people like be on watch shifts to take turns, it's going to take more than eight hours. So if you guys, if one of you is some sort of species who only need four hours asleep.

That's not a big deal, but there would at least be four hours where you're just sort of sleeping in the hut and no one's awake. I'm already asleep. That might be, I don't know about tabxy. Elves, I think, have less, but not all elves, right? I think not half elves, but I'm going to double check that. I'm eight hours. What are we all?

What are we all? Brian, what species are you? What are we? Good question. You're, if I'm not mistaken, high elf. Yeah, that's true. Get it? Yeah, I am a high elf.

Are you a full elf or half elf? That's a good question. Where would that be? I think you're a full elf. Do you not need to sleep? If he's a high elf. I think you're a full elf, which means you only need four hours, which is good to Chris's point. They enter a four hour trance or reverie.

But little people. needs four hours or eight hours and fish boy needs eight hours so either someone is going to need to be sleeping without Lehman's tiny hut or you guys are going to skip a watch for four hours yeah well we all just go to sleep it's and then he'll wake up safe too okay I mean he will then have four hours like I don't think it's a big deal just because it's a little different than what we've done most of the time. I just want to check in. If that's cool, we're safe in the hut.

You just might miss something we might have seen. True. So you guys all pull out your bed rolls and cozy up. I'll say. In a relatively defensive position, but with so much concern that anything could break inside.

And then, I've been asleep this whole time. Suddenly we die. Brian's going to wake up a natural really after four hours. Oh. Because you're a high else, Brian. Somebody's all rested.

Can I have you do a perception check? I'm also flying. The whole time? Yeah. Sleep flying. Sleeping and flying. Okay. I hate that so much.

20. 24. for it. Amazing. Ooh, nice. Ain't nothing getting past you. About 200 feet down the river and you're kind of like pacing around Liam and saying how well everyone sleeps just trying to like get your bearings like right about like

you're way over here. You're like you know 75 feet down and then down there about where that Alhoun miniature is turned over at the moment where it died. You see this massive 20-foot-wide skull with worms pouring out of its eye sockets floating, just taking up the entire width of the walls, and it's just like pointed directly towards you. Oops. Wake everybody up. How far away is it?

It is about 170 feet away. It's just one. It's like 250 feet away. It's pretty far away. Wake up. Wake out. Wake out. Look over there.

Is there anything we can do about it? Because otherwise, I'm just going to go back to bed. That's gross. Yes, go to sleep. What? Nothing can get us inside here. Just get back inside and we'll... If you watch it.

As long as you've been eye on it. Hey, hey, friend, little peeper's here. Could you just stare at the skull with worms coming out of its eye sockets for four more hours? Okay, bye. Yeah. I'm rolling over and stretching. Brian? All your friends go back to bed.

The skull. But we pat him and say, you were right to let us know. And good night. And there's it. Brian, you are left alone. In the hut. Give him the hut. No, he's staying in the hut.

You can see it from inside the hut. But it's sockets with the worms pouring out of them are facing towards the hut. Gross. As if staring directly at you, Brian. I like it. Do an insight check, please. Well, I stop looking at it. after a while.

Well, sure, but do an insight journey. Brian's like, don't make me do anything right now. I think Brian has left. Brian's like, this is upsetting. I quit. That's love plus five plus two. Seven.

You can't tell if it can see you. You feel pretty confident because of the way Liam is tiny how it works that it can't. But the way it's staring is deeply unsettling. Yeah. Fuck that thing. All right. And everyone starts to stir as Liamans' tiny hut tops.

I'm going to hit the snooze hut. We're going to get nine more hours. I'll say that all of you kind of like move to the sides of the hut so you're not immediately like in the gaze of the hallway. You're just like automatically. So if I can just scoot your character sheet off of this book. Yeah. So we got our long rest.

and four torches. It is down yet another hallway. Right now, you are in a room that is pretty barren. it looks like maybe it was once used for something, but right now, it just has a bunch of, these little, like, clay pots. Some of them are smashed apart.

Ooh, clay pot chicken. But there's about seven of them. Glacious. Claypot chicken. Can you do it? Well, I'll let you choose either an insight or an Arcana check, Brian, as you stare at the clay pots. If you're an Arcana check,

it's going to be pretty tough for you. it would be a DC-22. If you want to do an inside check, it's going to also be pretty tough for you. It's going to be a DC-25. Oh, shit. There might be one of those you can't make. Definitely take the high bonus.

Not sure. So you're going to head back to your friends? Yeah. You, again, breezeily down the hallway. What do you guys think? And, like, you know, it's over here. There's room. There's pots.

And then if you go down there, there's this altar room here. Dan, meanwhile, while he was sneaking, that Brian was sneaking, did the skull worms do anything? If you wanted to peek, that'll be a perception check. Sure. Because you've been trying to stay in cover. I'll take a look.

I'll say it's, you know, it's right there. What kind of check? Perception check. Just to just get a read on it is if you like kind of poke your head around the side. 16 plus 10, 26. Yeah, you can tell that the skull itself is continuing to stay suspended. It's unclear whether or not the skull is spectral or not, but the worms are not.

These worms are kind of plopping into the slime. Do there seem to be any worms in the slime coming towards us? Not that you can see, but there are definitely, Like hours worth of physical worms have been plopping into the river about 250 feet upstream. Of acid. But it's an acid river, right? We know that. If they've been plopping the river, it is definitely a possibility that they would be dissolving in it, but you're not sure.

Right. Okay. Well, what do you guys think? I mean, we have to go down there. And I'm going to kind of give you another photo in the group text. So you can kind of like say what I'm talking about. Might as well attack it, right? Yeah, shoot some better at least.

Those are phylactories. And philactory, of course, that means... Like a cheesecake phallectory? Is that the thing you have to ask the pharmacist for? Roll one more. Arcana check. And there's another thing you might be able to tie this. It's not a water balloons too.

No, no, no. No, no. Insight, Insight. 18 plus 624. Okay. So with the Arcana check, you know that those are phylactories, which are containers, a litch, an undead, puts parts of their physical body that binds them to the prime material plane.

Oh, I think you mean that lets them regenerate. What's the, what are they called in her? Key, Horcroxes? Horcroxes. That's what you mean. They're sort of like horroxes, but they're parts of its body as opposed to like physical belongings. And that altar with the chains on it with a 24 insight, that's great. What a great number for this information.

You put two and two together and you think, think at some point the litch was chained up while someone removed body parts it is on its behalf to help it in order to make it a litch yeah it's torture us destroy all that shit right yeah we yeah we should maybe just be aware that maybe if it's a if it's like connected to these things it might come a run and but yeah good after we've destroyed all of its body parts right exactly okay so let's Dan you're raising your hand trying it's Sam's attention without anyone actually speaking out loud but Sam we've broken Sam Sam Sam we have seven minutes left thank you sir cool well now that my worst nightmares

All of your attacks just sort of fizzle with a little shimmer of blue magic as they connect with the jars. Do we recognize what that might be? It seems like it's really hard to destroy. It seems like there's a magical protection on the objects. Shit. Like a shield. Oh, use your wand of secrets. Oh, yeah.

The one of secrets is about secret doors. I'm going to cast Dispell Magic. Oh, yeah. M-A-G-I-C. Think of that. I will cast it, I guess, at fifth level. So that knocks it up. You just spelled that.

D.C. 10, plus the spells level. or lower. Any spell of third or lower ends for each spell of fourth level of higher, make the DC equals 10 plus the spells level. So whatever the spells level, that's the DC. And then I'm casting it at fifth. You can't spell, spells a spell automatically end the effects of a spell. Okay. There's a unique DC for a phylactory. Copy that. So I get to add, make an ability check using my spell casting ability. So that's plus nine. 14 plus 923. Nothing happens.

Dan, does that sound right? Okay, I'll give you Bartic inspiration. So you can add a D-A, so you basically make that roll, and you can add a D-8 to it.

Oh, a D-8. So I just roll a D-8. No, no, no, no. You have to do it. the spell over it, but you get to add a D8 this time. All right, well. It's a dangerous roll. Ooh, it looked like an 18.

It's a 15. That sounds terrible. 15 plus your bonus, which is 8. This can be 26. And now you get to add a D8. Right, no, 15 plus... He said your bonus was 8, 23. Plus an 8 now.

Yes. What is this in 8? No, where's the 8? It's higher than 15, isn't it? Because what's the 8? And 4. So it's 27. That's the same thing you got last time when you rolled one number lower.

And then plus you added a BARTIC inspiration. Wasn't last time a 27 because you rolled a 16? Yeah. You did the math wrong one of those two times. But that means it could be a higher number. So let's go back. What did you add together the first time? There's like a number you didn't add this time maybe?

This time there's a shimmer of blue magic around all of the pots, and it sizzles away. Nice. Now let's fuck off those pots. Little peopers, his ears go out. I'm like, wait, fuck the pots. Brian.

Great, this time everything just smashes everything to pieces as if they're just clay pots which will dried out livers and hearts. And so there is another escape route other than the one you came. It just involves going in the rather unpleasant green slime. Yeah. Yeah. Like fully submerged in it. We can go back the way we came, right? Like if we just just follow this phylactory room. I mean, it's been flooded. We'll have to see how that goes. And if the path that you originally got hereby is flooded
