Starting point is 00:00:00 I don't know. I don't know how we start these things. Welcome. He starts with welcome. Oh, there it is. Go, no, you had it. You're rolling. Welcome back to New Heights. That's fake. It's fake. It sounds fake. Well, yeah, I'm doing an imitation. I know. It's bullshit. What we're doing is bullshit, Jake, and none of it matters.
Starting point is 00:00:18 That's the cool part. Welcome to a little off-season, off-topic, post-season, pre-season episode of New Heights, folks. We are not Jason and Travis, if you cannot tell. This is not even close. This is an episode. They didn't even know we're making this episode. This is a little audio-only pre-season episode for the 92-percenters. What Jake and I have done is to get us ready for season five
Starting point is 00:00:43 and what will probably be our 200th episode early in the year, which again sounds nuts that we've been doing that many of these. We have put together the definitive list of the top 92 moments of all time from New Heights so far. We've done a pre-season list, folks. Incredible. We're getting mad. about a list because that's what giving you a list to argue about to get you ready for the season it is
Starting point is 00:01:06 that's what this time of the year is about it's getting people mad about a list oh man yeah this is i can't wait i've argued about so many lists so far this year i'm amt we need football to start again but we have the top 92 moments as ranked by us the new heights production team yeah there's really no rhyme or reason to kind of how we did it there's a lot of it based on vibes a lot of it based on when, how, where the clip occurred, we might be kind of telling you guys to behind the scene stories as we go here, but we've divided this up into four episodes.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Today, we're going to be counting down from 92 to 71. 71. Jake, starts off number 92. Coming in at number 92, one of our favorite moments on the show. This one's keeping it in the family. Ed Kelsey getting a phone call.
Starting point is 00:01:58 during our parenting advice heights hotline episode. Should we call Ed? I was going to say, you brought up, Ed Kelsey. You got to go to Ed Kelsey for this one. This is so good. I'll tell him he's being recorded.
Starting point is 00:02:08 No, you can't. I got to because I can't. Hey, what's up? Dad, Travis and I are on the podcast right now. We want your advice. Okay. Somebody wants your advice, not us, really. I kind of want your advice on this.
Starting point is 00:02:20 We both are interested in your hands. All right. So there's a woman that called into the voicemail. She is a five-year-old kid that keeps telling all these strangers and people out in public that her mom has stolen her. Him or her. Him or her. Well, stolen the child.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Yes. It's gotten to a point that like the cops have been called on the mom and child's projected service has been calling the mom. What do you think the mom should do when the kid says that this person stole me? What would Ed Kelsey's reaction to Travis out in public telling some strangers that you stole him? What would my reaction be? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Shut the fuck up. That's number one. All right. You know. Get your little ass home and you're begging to be fucking stolen. Yeah. No, we had to start the list with that, Kelsey. Anytime,
Starting point is 00:03:19 anytime Jason goes, do you mind if I call Ed? We go, yes. Yes. We don't care what else is going on. Call Ed immediately. Brandon, number 91. Number 91.
Starting point is 00:03:28 one, Caitlin Clark, defending her chiefs fandom. Let's talk about your biggest accomplishment. Being a part of Chief's kingdom. How long have you been a part of the kingdom? I'm sorry, Jason. You can apologize to me. I'm honorary member. I'm a Midwest kid, so there's this picture that's been circulating.
Starting point is 00:03:48 A couple of years ago when I was on Peyton Eli's Monday night show, where I'm in a full Chief's outfit. I had family in Kansas City. and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City. So that's just the closest NFL team. So my dad was a big Chiefs fan growing up. So people think I'm like a bandwagon chiefs fan. I'm like, no, I was there before Patrick and Travis.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Like we were. I love it. We were ride or dies. So we've been big fans. And now obviously all the success you guys have had has made it a lot of fun for us. Your brother's favorite player was Tony Gonzalez. Who's your favorite player or is? Oh, is?
Starting point is 00:04:25 I mean, obviously Travis is. This is up there. I made it. But I'm obviously a big Patrick fan too. How can you not be? Like the both of you, you're pretty great. I'm here.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Yeah, Caitlin. Caitlin is a two-time guest, hopefully more time guest. Maybe, still maybe the second most demanded guest of all time for New Heights is Caitlin Clark. I think. For sure.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Immediately people were to manage to come on and she is absolutely the best. Yeah. Jake, number 90. Number 90. sticking with basketball but keeping it in the Kelsey family. Thank you. This is a classic Kelsey story,
Starting point is 00:05:06 classic basketball story. They've told it a couple times on the pod, but the first time we told it, it was like, oh shit, these two are brothers. It's the basketball fight story from season one. If you ever just want to distill Jason and Travis down to one story
Starting point is 00:05:20 that defines them, it would probably be this interaction. I feel like the rivalry really became apparent to me when you had finally, started to hit puberty in high school when I was a senior and you were a sophomore in particular that one day when you finally beat me in basketball
Starting point is 00:05:39 finally you didn't even play basketball Jason yeah but even when we played basketball you weren't playing basketball that doesn't matter I was winning though because I was bigger and more stronger and faster than you that's it because there's no fouls on the on the playground man
Starting point is 00:05:56 this dude was out here hacking I didn't need to hack. I didn't need to hack before you hit puberty. I was freaking five inches taller than you. I just blocked every shot, okay? The only game you won that was hoarse because you could shoot better than me. But the reality is- He just said it.
Starting point is 00:06:13 He didn't win at everything. That's a good point. But the moment the rivalry really became a rivalry was when you hit puberty, were out in the backyard, and you finally could actually beat me as something athletic, and you were doing this stupid. like driving the like outside hook shot and I could not fucking stop it I could not stop it. And I was getting you had just gotten taller than me.
Starting point is 00:06:41 So I could no longer just block it every time. And I was furious. The hook. That was my patent move down there in the post, man. You couldn't stop it, man. But it wasn't even like a post like you weren't even like backing into it and like doing it. You were just like driving and then just throwing away from you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Finding away, baby. And I was furious. And so I just started to do what everybody does and pick up basketball when they're losing. And you just start filing the other guy. And you said, you said, that's a foul, man. That's bull. And I said, there ain't no refs out here. There's no refs.
Starting point is 00:07:14 And then you got upset. You threw the basketball at me and walked into the house. And I'm like, oh, hell no. And in my head, in my head, I'm really, I'm upset because I'm having to come to the realization that you're better at basketball. me and I go inside the house and you're at the refrigerator and I will you around and I punch you in the face way too aggressive for the situation that escalated quickly yeah and was not expecting a punch in the face ladies gentlemen I don't I mean we we've fought but there weren't too many times where like it got to that level of like a punch in the face
Starting point is 00:07:53 keep your that only happened twice keep your composure I've never had good composure but yeah you and then before that every time we got into a fight and I hit you, you would just start crying. Jason, I won the fight. Do not do that? I did not start crying. Maybe one way we were young, young. Yeah, exactly. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Every time I would hit you when you were a kid, you would just cry, okay? Well, because it fucking hurt. What do you mean? No, it's because you're a kid. I'm not saying it right here in the nose. You already know it just immediately makes it. Can you just let me tell the story? The nose you start crying.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I am not attacking. It's not a real cry. It's my eyes are watering. Can you be comfortable enough to let me tell a story without feeling like I'm attacking your masculinity? I'm not saying anything. You calling me a bitch, bro? You were a child, okay? But anyways, you would be upset and you'd just run away.
Starting point is 00:08:47 This time I hit you, you scoop me up before I realized what was going on and slam me on the kitchen floor. The oven popped off of its hinges. And then we got up. And we actually started having a fist fight. And the only thing that stopped the fight was dad grabbing me, pulling me off of you. And you pushing me on top of him. And then our, my dad going, oh, my ribs. Oh, my ribs.
Starting point is 00:09:13 And then we both froze. We both froze at the thought, we just broke dad. Yeah. I mean, then nothing's changed. Honestly, nothing's changed. Like hearing that back, nothing has changed. That's exactly. That's who they are now.
Starting point is 00:09:28 And I'm sure if we put a hoop and a basketball in a driveway, I bet you we'd get right back to that moment pretty quick. I mean, we did put them in front of a hoop and almost got back to that moment. That's true, the live show. You guys didn't see the rehearsals. That got a little, some elbows were thrown. All right. You got some live show clips coming up. We'll get into that. But Brandon, why don't you tell them about clip number 89? A lot of people will be interested in this one. Oh, I think this will get clipped out for everybody's social media pages. Number 89. This is friend of the show, Taylor Swift, explaining the human ex-executive.
Starting point is 00:09:58 From a small episode we did about a year ago. I think some of you listened to that. So I will toss it to Taylor. Travis is like he's just a vibe booster in everyone's life that he's in. He's like a human exclamation point. Like, you know, he's like when you take a picture on your phone and you put the like, you push the enhanced color button. That's like what you do to everyone's life.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I just, I'm always exclamations. I use so many more exclamation points. Listen, the human exclamation point is the perfect way to describe Travis Kelsey. I've never heard that before, but you just brighten everybody's day, man. You just do. What? How did I just energy that you bring?
Starting point is 00:10:35 You guys are making me sweat now. I just, I've never heard that. I'm stealing it. Yeah, you're just the warmest person. Depth without darkness. You guys have exclamation points too. Yeah, well, now because you're in our lives. I never used to write exclamation points.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Uh, dot, dot, dot. And then, yes. I mean, she got quite away with words. Yeah. Quite away with words. We, uh, I mean, we've got, she's good with words. That was my takeaway from most of that. Unsurprisingly, I think I don't want to give too much away, Brandon, but I think there might be a few more moments from that episode.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Oh, there's a few more. We got a, listen, she did one episode and she somehow got a few on the list here. So, we'll save some of our stories for. Yeah. We'll save some of them. All right. Coming in in number 88, uh, we've got two incredible tight ends on the show. this is grunk on his first appearance season one uh talking about being compared to Travis
Starting point is 00:11:34 Kelsey I'll give a little story here this honestly was like one of the more like when we first started this show I feel like we kind of had a small guest list of people that we were like adamant to get on quickly and gronk was absolutely like one of the first names thrown out and every story you've heard about gronk being like the most fun person to interact with is true He is infectiously fun. Even if he doesn't charge his laptop before the recording, that's okay. You roll with it. Gronko's laptop dying and you're like, who cares, man?
Starting point is 00:12:05 Throw that shit out the window. Let's keep going. No headphones. No headphones. No charge. That's gronk, baby. And it was dynamite. Absolutely dynamite.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And I just remember my quick story for this is like when we were getting the video call all set up, like before you could see his face, it said like Rob G had entered the chat. and then he popped up it was just like boys and I was like we're in the tree Rob G got super pumped when I saw Rob G is in there the chat. That was awesome. So here's a clip from
Starting point is 00:12:35 Grong talking about being compared to Travis. Is it annoying to you guys to constantly be compared to each other? First of all, I mean beginning in my career I mean you know with Travis going you know having his first thousand yard season and all that and I'm having a thousand yards and he's coming on the scene because I was about two years
Starting point is 00:12:51 ahead. I mean you're young. You got that juice. I'm competing. I'm like this, I'm like this, this mofow, like, this guy ain't taking my spot. Like, like you hammed up my game for sure. I mean, at that age, you're on the look at this goal. You care at that. You care big time. I'm like, this guy ain't taking my spot. And then he does it again the next year. I'm like, all right, this guy's for real though. Like, and then it's pissing me off. I'm like, he's trying to take my
Starting point is 00:13:13 side. I can tell. And then you did it again. And then I started appreciate it. I'm like, oh, man, this guy, this guy is a real deal. I mean, Travis is a real deal for sure. I mean, he's putting up thousand yards every year, all these catches, touchdowns, all that good stuff. He's leading the offense. It made me ample my game. I'm like, I can't slack one bit.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I know you definitely help my game. I mean, without that push, I mean, you're never going to get better. That one year, you broke my, uh, the receiving yard record. I was like, the whatever, 1,300 yards and you got like 40 something. And Kettle did too. And I was like, deep. Kiddle smoked me 45 minutes later, he got me. These motherfuckers.
Starting point is 00:13:48 I was like, yeah, I was like, oh, I got to get back. in the field. I got to get back out, you know. And then, you know, when you're that age, I mean, you got that thrill in you and all that. It definitely was a challenge to me. I mean, without that challenge, I mean, I don't think I would have been as, you know, as developed as I was and as competitive as I was for sure. But there is one record that I do not want to see broken. I would probably be bummed for about a week. This year was probably my go, which one is a baby? And it's a touchdown record, man. That's the only record. know if it'll ever be touched dude that's the only record where i'm still proud of but you can beat
Starting point is 00:14:25 you beat the 100 yard games which i knew that was going to happen i mean you're going to beat that for sure i mean i i i was like it's greatness i mean you're doing great but i'm like that touchdown record and you were at 12 this year that's mine that's that's this is my best run at it dude this would probably be my last best run it started off hot it started off hot dude started off it started off real how i thought about week 10 i thought i man i got a chance to at least touch it Maybe not get more than 17, but I got a chance to at least touch it. Not a fucking chance. That's wrong.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I don't like, also a fantastic episode. If you didn't catch it the first time because it was four years ago, please, the gronk one is one of the best. Honestly, like having him and Travis together to talk tight end is like a must listen. So encourage going back on that one. Let's go to number 87 here. This is from the live show in Cincinnati, which was the shit show for a lot of reasons, but not because of this guy. This is Joe Burrow on taunting. You're also pro taunting.
Starting point is 00:15:20 I am pro taunting, yeah. So am I. Why are you pro taunting? We're all grown adults that work really hard at what we do, and sometimes we like to show it. I'm not going to get my feelings hurt if somebody sacks me and taunts me. Like, you made a play? I didn't.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Like, good for you. You're allowed to taunt. Have you ever gotten a taunting flag? I've never got taunting flag. No. I don't know how many you got. At what level of football? He's throwing a flag.
Starting point is 00:15:46 He's throwing a flag. I mean, that's my favorite one. Throw the flag at the rest. You can get a little feisty out there. Just a wee bit. Yeah. Incredible quote from Joe Burrow, just to let the boys taunt
Starting point is 00:15:57 and his reasoning made sense. I remember, Brandon, when you were, like, waiting to send him out during the live show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, like, you know, we had pyrotechnics. And the live show in Cincinnati, I think to this day has been like the biggest
Starting point is 00:16:15 performance we've put on in terms of it was like a full on arena spectacular it was like monster jam that was insane yeah which was awesome and even still you could see joe burrow's like aura amongst amongst the people yeah i was emceeing that from the tunnel so i had to kind of just do the intros for people as they came out and i hadn't seen joe yet and the way we had it lit was there was a bunch of light sort of behind the tunnel so they were kind of like in silhouette and somebody just comes to ask him on the shoulder and he's like hey joe's like behind you ready to go and i remember just like turning around and he like flipped his hair and it was i it was like the most like i could hear it was like oh it was bizarre and i was like joe are you ready and he was like born
Starting point is 00:17:02 ready i'm like fuck yeah you weren't you you're the coolest guy i know yeah joe's cool guy but no also insanely nice insanely nice like chatted all of us up i mean one of the nice human beings too so Shout out, shout out Joe. You're always welcome back. Shout out Joe. 86. 86. One of my favorite guests from season four.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Great guest. An unbelievable, unbelievably charismatic guy who came in right away and was talking ball. And that's the clip we've got here. We got Ryan Gosling talking about being a liability at the corner. You had to call out, remember the Titans, too, man. Don't never forget that I'm a liability. White Corner. At the corner.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I'm a liability. That role. that in particular scene in the movie is the thing that I see called out the most. How much do you get that constantly? It doesn't matter what I accomplish in my life. There'll be someone in the comment section that says,
Starting point is 00:17:57 never forget he's an absolute liability at the corner. It doesn't matter what I do. One of the greatest actors of our generation. He's a liability at the corner. Can't play corner of them. Yeah, shoot Dibati in there. Gosling was great. We didn't know how online he was going to be
Starting point is 00:18:17 or how much he even was aware of the liability at Corner thing. And he, the second it started was like, I know exactly you're going to give me shit about. And we were like, okay, fucking Ryan's cool. That was awesome. I also, I don't want to spoil anything, but I don't think it's on the list. We didn't put Harrison Ford on here, right?
Starting point is 00:18:34 We did not put Harrison Ford on here. I will tell you why he has told that before. It is a great story. We don't own that story. felt like it, listen, are you in the comments? I don't care. I was just going to say, I think during his episode, him talking about Harrison, like, he was just as funny and charming as he is on screen, he was equally like that, just like.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Yeah, what a jerk. Moving on to number 85, from the Ben Affleck episode, his story of playing catch with Tom Brady. We heard that you once got to run routes with Tom Brady. All right. What was it like? What was that like? How many completions did we get? What were you running?
Starting point is 00:19:13 What kind of routes are you running? I won't lie to you. I don't know if they have a name. I'm sure I disgraced every receiver that's ever running route. But to this day, aside from the birth of my children, that was the greatest day. I was like, dude, are you? He was like, I need someone to play catch with. Happen to be on vacation at the same place with him.
Starting point is 00:19:38 And he was like, you want to come down? And I was like, oh, this was, so this was legit. This was as legit as it gets. That's amazing. You were helping Tom, get ready for the season. I was like, how much I was helping him. I think he was like, he was like, I'm going to fucking blow this dude's. And we literally got down there.
Starting point is 00:19:56 And first he's like, you know, I'm going to, he's like, okay, go out here, turn around, and I'm going to run as fast as I can turn around. I think so look at him, look, he's waiting 45 minutes, you know? Fucking guns to bought me. I'm like, I caught it. because I was afraid of breaking my nose more than anything else. And then after a few of those, he's like, all right, I'm going to put some hair on it. I was like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:20:16 It's already, it's already playing fast. Yeah. That was what I was about to ask you. That's how I was about to ask you. Did he actually spin it? Like, he ripped you a couple? He can home him now. You know, what I found was that, like, in a way, you catch it out of self-defense.
Starting point is 00:20:29 I didn't even think I was too much, you know, and I found myself with the football just out of, like, yes. Fighter-Flexes. But the greatest moment of that experience was he was, Like, after we had me running around, you know, he's throwing me the ball. And it was amazing, right? It was like a, like I felt like a 10-year-old kid.
Starting point is 00:20:47 He's like, okay, come here. And I get to him, and he's like, it's the Super Bowl, fourth quarter. We have 23 seconds. It's fourth and 18. I love this. Tom knows what he's doing, man. He's like, you just run. This is why he's the best.
Starting point is 00:21:04 This is why he's the best. This is his mindset, dude. He was amazing, dude. He goes and just run straight. Don't turn around. And I was like, he's like, and I'm going to get you the ball in the end zone. And I was like, don't turn around.
Starting point is 00:21:17 He was like, don't look back. So I'm like, and I believe, he told me I was like, I'm in the Super Bowl. So he's like, look, look, calls it out. You know, like he was, and I start running. I don't look back. I'm sure to him it seemed like this. He's like, I never seen somebody running slow motion.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Like to me, as fast as you can. I'm wondering when's this ball going to show up and I look I just feel like right out in front of me
Starting point is 00:21:45 and it was a little far for me I think he was like he probably adjusted back and I reach out and I have to go all that
Starting point is 00:21:55 extend I fucking catch it I fucking turn around like I won you fucking turn around I'd be like this it was incredible
Starting point is 00:22:08 I called every person For two days, I was on the... So, tell me right to call me, and I went down and got to me. I think they thought I was lying to him. But it was like the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me. And I lived a full life of dreams, right? In that, whatever was, an hour of playing cash.
Starting point is 00:22:25 So Ben was awesome. The behind the scenes, Ben Affleck story I want to tell is, like, he was so great and he was so animated and he kept, like, telling stories and bouncing around in his chair. and at one point, like, I was reading Slack messages, like, as the show was going on, it was like, Brandon, jump in there. Someone tell him. Someone tell him. And Brandon had to tell him like, hey, Ben, we're doing like a third, a third, a third.
Starting point is 00:22:51 So if you, and he just goes, oh, shut the fuck up and sit still. Got it. I'm like, the man has an Oscar and I'm about to tell him like blocking notes. Like, who the fuck am I? I think Carly at one point was like, do we have something to tie him to his chair? Because he was just so animated. I might handcuff, Ben, if you don't stop fidgeting. Oh, this is why you don't give any want to be producers out there.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Do not give talent rolling chairs. It's been very cool as like more and more actors have started to come on to the show. Because if we ever have any like technical notes about framing, they get it instantly. They're the best. They're like, oh, my eye line, my headroom. It's great. Number 84. Jason on Love Actually.
Starting point is 00:23:35 This is the first appearance. Kylie on this list. Welcome to the top minute to you, Kylie. This is from the Christmas episode with her in season three, where everybody had been demanding that we watch and review Love Actually and Jason's opinion of it is exactly what you think Jason's opinion of it was. I'm be brutally honest. Love actually might be the worst Christmas movie I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Like, I don't even know that it's up for debate. I didn't feel Christmas at all during the movie. There was zero Christmas spirit or anything. I enjoyed the movie. it was okay it was okay i just didn't i didn't understand how much it really tied into christmas not only does it's not tying to christmas like the worst family value it was like the worst family values of like all time tied into christmas it was like bad people a guy went to get a necklace for his the secretary or whatever that woman was and it's like let's just go story by story let's go story
Starting point is 00:24:30 my story. The one guy is like voyuring his best friend's wife and only recording her. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Start from the beginning. Okay. Who did it start out with? I don't know. You've seen it. The guy who's going. No, the guy who's going to the wedding. And he's like, hey, are you sure you don't want to come? And she's like, I'm disgusting. I'm, I'm sick. I can't go. Okay. So we want to start with that storyline. That's the first story. So for those you that don't know, the first storyline is a guy leaves the house. house. His wife is like, oh, hey, like, I'm a little sick. I'm not going to go with you.
Starting point is 00:25:06 And I knew it right away. He called it the minute. The minute he left. And she's going to be fucking somebody when he gets back. Obvious, right? So it's not even like it's remotely creative of a movie. So super obvious that she's going to come back in. She's going to be with somebody.
Starting point is 00:25:21 It wasn't obvious in the 90s. Well, it also wasn't obvious that it was going to be his fucking brother. Okay. Did you know that? No. Yeah. She's fucking his brother. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Merry Christmas, everyone. Then he leaves her and decides to go to where was he at? He went to France, right? Somewhere. Italy or France or someplace. And he has this Portuguese woman who's waiting. I think he just went to the countryside. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Wherever. And his like housekeeper that he hires is Portuguese. Yes. Or speaks Portuguese. The housekeeper that he's given speaks Portuguese from this other woman, which they don't get into if she was human trafficked or how she got there. Jesus Christ, Jesus. But we do know that these people fall in love with each other without being able to talk.
Starting point is 00:26:08 What the fuck are we talking about? They never spoke a word. Do you ever watch Love is Blind? I do not watch Love is Blind. No. This was Love is mute. It was Love is mute. It was a great life lesson.
Starting point is 00:26:23 It was a great life lesson into how much you can fall in love with somebody without actually being able to communicate with them. It was terribly unbelievable. But it. Not even like they're in the water and they're saying the same thing. And kind of like, look, they're saying the same thing. And all I'm in my eyes, like, this is complete nonsense. This is just like complete ridiculousness. There's nothing sweet about this.
Starting point is 00:26:46 They're acting like. There's nothing sweet about the fact that they were saying the exact same thing, but didn't speak. I prefer more of the Shakespearean love where they actually communicate. And there's some romantic interaction. as opposed to you want to talk about communicate
Starting point is 00:27:03 this he's an advocate for communication yeah that's where we I'm realizing that is the problem here it was too it hit home too much for him no that he actually doesn't he wouldn't know romance if it smacked him square in the face so that's the problem well let me tell you
Starting point is 00:27:22 if love actually is about romance I do not understand romance also all for it prime minister calling out the United States, if that isn't the biggest form of fucking political grandstanding that I've ever seen, fuck that guy. He didn't say shit to Billy Bob's face and then went up on the podium. Like, I ain't doing shit. If I'm the U.S., I'm sticking it right up the prime minister of Britain's ass.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Like, we run the fucking show, not you dickhead. We just had a whole fucking conversation in your office. You didn't bring this up one time and they're going to go out there and say that shit in the fucking media. So anyways, just had to get that off my chest. It's always funny whenever we like put out a fan poll of like, what should we watch? What movies do we watch? Oh, that's right.
Starting point is 00:28:05 I know what we're going to watch. He always, Jason tries to fight it, but I know it's coming. Brother, you're watching Love Actually. The second that was on the poll, I was like, that's happening. Well, and this was, I think, a Kylie of like, I will come on the show to watch a, because Jason, we also watch Christmas vacation that episode. For him. Kylie was like, I will do that, but you are watching Love Actually for me. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Okay. fine. Then we got a classic Jason moment out of it. And then, I mean, do you want to keep moving to that next one? Yeah, I'll keep moving to the next one because we have back-to-back Kylie appearances. This one was Mother's Day of this year. And this moment, it may not be a top 92 moment for everyone, but it is for me because it's near and dear to my heart and they're talking about my wife. So I will just... Near and dear to your wife's heart. It is quite geographically near and dear to my wife's heart.
Starting point is 00:28:54 So I'll just toss to the clip right there. Yeah, I have a new father Mother's Day question here. Is my wife currently pregnant, but the baby isn't here yet, do I still have to get her a Mother's Day gift? No, don't tell her about that. This is again where like girl questions, I'm Nevada. I would say no, the baby's not here yet. What I do think is that if you want to do a little something, maybe like flowers or something small, and be like, I can't wait until next year where we can't.
Starting point is 00:29:26 when we can celebrate your first official Mother's Day. That's a great segue, let's say. But I don't think that I don't, I don't change some diapers. Those tits are still intact. You got a lot of, you got a lot of miles stones to overcome. What did you just say? Did he just say your tits are still intact?
Starting point is 00:29:46 That's my wife. He said, oh, I'm just being honest. This is what happens. That's my wife. Your tits are still intact. Tell Emily. I'm so sorry. I will.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Thanks, Guy. I appreciate you being on that side of the debate. That is not what I thought was going to happen. I know. That's why I'm saying I'm bad at girl questions. God, I can't believe you just referenced Jake's. I can't believe that you just said that. I wasn't saying about Emily.
Starting point is 00:30:13 I was just saying it like holistically about all moms. Well, I mean, your tits are still intact. To be fair, I really, I really resonate with that sentiment. My tits are no longer intact. That's where I thought the bird. I thought the burden was more of an attack on you. I agree with those. Yeah, I,
Starting point is 00:30:33 yeah, God damn it. God damn, I do love this clip. The best part about having Kylie on is that Jason is on his worst behavior. I like, I don't know how to describe it. He's on, like, he just knows exactly what buttons to push him when. And it's Jason on his worst behavior, but then it's also Travis and Kylie teaming up to bully Jason, which makes him behave work. It's a great. The three of them are just an unbeatable.
Starting point is 00:31:07 It brings out the best and worst in all of them, which is why we should constantly do it. And Jake, tell Emily, you know, I don't know when this will come out, but tell him I'm sorry about, you know, if they've fallen off. Jesus Christ, I'll keep you posted. Number 82, Brandon. And we're kind of cheating on our top 92 moments because these are a million different moments for number 82. Yeah, it is just sort of like a recurring theme. And we kind of had to put it on here. But there wasn't one moment that was like definitive.
Starting point is 00:31:36 So please enjoy the best or worst, depending on what song it is, of Jason and Travis's adventures into singing. Yeah. So yeah, I watch your build. That's entertainment. That is how you recap your day. Back streets, back, all right. Don, nah, nah, dun, da, dun, dun, done, da, pretty woman walking down the street, pretty woman.
Starting point is 00:32:33 The one I love to me. Pretty woman. I have no idea what the number of words are. It's a great tune though. Going down the only road. Like a drift, I was born to walk alone. And I've made up my mind. Here I go again.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I don't know. Is that how it goes? I don't even know. Yeah, basically. I ain't wasting no more time. And I did you know tonight. What's your favorite thing they've ever sung on the show? I enjoyed, it was rehearsals for the season one live show
Starting point is 00:33:54 when for some reason we all broke out into I should have been a cowboy. It was, um, no, no, no, no, what was it? It was a different country song. Maybe duck them doors and turn the lights down low. That's right. That's, you're music, soft and slow. That's what they were singing at rehearsals for the line. You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right,
Starting point is 00:34:20 Right, right, right, right. Yes, my, so my, my favorite singing moment was, yes, season one rehearsals for the Can't City Live show when I don't know which one of them started it, but they started noticing how deep their voice was on microphone. So we got a lot of maybe lock them doors and turn them lights down low. And it went on and on and on to the point where I think the stage crew started just playing it with lyrics on the TIA.
Starting point is 00:34:47 They started like, we got nothing done for like half an hour because we all wanted to sing this song. Yeah, that was probably my favorite in-person singing moment. I think my favorite singing moment was when Jason tried to shit on people who do the, like, Blink 182 rocker voice, give a voice, yeah, yeah, yeah. I go to the bridge. Travis correctly pointed out, like, Jason, that's what you sound. Which then led into those songs kind of slap.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Yes, and which then led into him singing total eclipse of the heart, which led to Kylie sending us the video of him doing that on his 30-something birth, 30th maybe birthday, at the Ocean Drive. So it all comes full circle. But the more singing, the better on this show. We did start, I feel like a season one started an episode with like 45 seconds of him doing the Kill Bill theme. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And I remember somebody told me that was. aggressive move for the audio listeners. And I said, I think it's right. I said, note appreciated, not accepted. I will do it again. Uh, anyway, just keep moving. All right, moving on. This, this was a moment that was a couple, couple years and a couple episodes in the making, uh, because we wanted to have this guest on. He was, you know, season one, one of our like premier guests that we wanted, but I don't think he came on until season two of the show. And what took him coming on was Jason shitting all over his position. But this is Pat McAfee coming on the show to defend the kickers.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Thank you for the intro. And thank you for the time. Although, Jason, he was saying some terrible stuff about, you know, like position groups. We're joking here. We're joking here. You know, we're having fun. It's a podcast. Don't shy away.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Don't shy away now, Jason. Yeah, you know, the stats people, you came out. I mean, I was joking. We're just having fun here. We're having fun here. The kickers, you had a well-thought-out take. You said for years I've been thinking about. That's what you said.
Starting point is 00:36:55 For years I've been thinking, we've been talking about this. You've been laying at night thinking like, I need to get this into a show somehow. How do I work this in? Hey, listen, you're the greatest of all time, the greatest center of all time. One of the toughest humans ever play football.
Starting point is 00:37:11 And obviously your resume is what it is on the football field. So you're allowed to say whatever the hell you want. Travis, if you want to hop into that whole train, you can as well. It's the people that have never played football that decide to dunk on like kickers and punters and stuff like that. I'm like, you need to relax.
Starting point is 00:37:24 This is why you did the college game day. You got, you're starting to bring the fans out of here for talking shit. That's right. Jason, do you think you can fucking kick a field goal? Bango!
Starting point is 00:37:34 You know what? I don't know if my hips got me in it. We might have to find this out. Get your Tims. Okay. Get your untied Tim. Get your Tims. Yeah, the old boot style just straight on.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Oh, yeah. What's the square toe? Is that Lou Groza? He used to do. square toe from the brownies is that what's the garbage picking field goal kicking uh you remember that joey oh my gosh yeah yeah it's absolutely yeah yeah that could be the case but my problem my issue is whenever people that've never played football before barry kickers and punters and act like it's an easy thing it is not an easy thing like if you get out there and you play catch you could probably play catch
Starting point is 00:38:11 a little bit you know you probably could if you want to get out there and do maybe hit something or say you probably do that you try to kick something most people are going to suck at it which is the college game day thing happened for kicking is easy. Although it's getting expensive boys. The last two weeks, these guys have made kicks and it's like 200,000 bucks to these guys. Jesus. I mean, it's a real deal.
Starting point is 00:38:28 They're starting to practice. Yeah, I think I'm trying to get hustled too. I think I'm starting to get hustled. Yeah, I think what we've learned is like, if you want somebody to come on, you just need to antagonize them.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Intaginize them. Use your platform to antagonize them until they are forced to defend themselves. So I think we'll just be doing that all this season. It's just, Hey, hey, hey, Merrill Street. You know what? Got nothing. She's a queen.
Starting point is 00:38:53 All right, Brandon, you take the next one because it's near your year. I'm going to take the next one. And you'll know why it's like, number 80. It's a moment that I don't think a lot of people are going to consider a top moment of the show. But I will give you the backstory to it. This is from season one. This is an episode we did during wild card weekend when both Eagles and Sheeps had buys. One of the things that we don't really get to do a lot or didn't get to do a lot,
Starting point is 00:39:17 when both guys were playing was text about football as it was happening because they would be on the field. So this was a rare Sunday where everybody was watching football respectively and the group chat was commenting in real time on things that were happening. And if you don't remember this play exactly, let me describe it to you. The Cowboys were down and needed to pull off a miracle trick play to stay alive in the playoffs. So the player they dialed up was to put Ezekiel Elliott edge. center and it went poorly and I just remember in the group chat there was just holy shit holy shit what the fuck oh my god oh my god why no no run it back why like it was just 30 minutes of all of us sending clips and gifts and memes back and forth trying to figure out what the
Starting point is 00:40:08 fuck we just saw and I know no Cowboys fans listen to this so I will just say it it is always fun to watch Cowboys lose in the playoffs, and especially when they decide to put Zeke at center, and the defensive strategy was, we'll just push him over, and it seemed to work great. Anyways, this is the guys reacting to Zeke at center. Let's get to what made this play absolutely electric, and that was the fact that Zeke was at center. You got to put in a tough situation. Zeke was out there to do something else. That's the only reason he's at center.
Starting point is 00:40:35 What they weren't accounting for was the liebacker bull rushing the crap out of him. It looked good. His first initial couple steps, squared them up. Snap was great. Snap was better than most of my snaps. All right now. And he had some good footwork, but they worked on the snap clearly and they worked on the set. They didn't work the hands. Hands are outside and high.
Starting point is 00:40:54 That's a bad recipe right there. Zeke's a very well-rounded football player. He's a beast. He wasn't ready to get bull rushed in that situation. I think he was probably thinking about what was going on later in the play. And when he snapped it and he's like, oh, crap. I have to actually block for a second. It took him off guard.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Jack and Zeke and the Cowboys, a hell of a season. And obviously we're laughing about this, but we've got all the respect in the world for these guys. For sure. Jake, you love that moment. I do. I would, you know, these are why these lists are fun to make. We went back and forth. I would have put some other stuff in the top 92, but I understand.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Part of that is me being salty. I wasn't in the group chat yet. You weren't. Left out. You know, not as, not as important a moment to me, but talk about a moment for, talk about a moment for my people. Transition. That's a good one. You like, go ahead. Go ahead. I'm just going to toss up the clip. This is Jason discovering what the movie Life is Beautiful is about.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Who was the best actor that won that year? Dude, I have no idea. The Waterboy was released in what year? November of 1998. One day after my birthday home. How about that? Really? Yeah. The Oscar that would have been up for, would have been the 1999 Oscars, right? I'm going to say you're right on that.
Starting point is 00:42:15 Best actor. Roberto Benini won the award for best actor for his leading role in Life is Beautiful. They fucked that one up. Life is beautiful. You never seen that fucking movie? I'm going to have to watch it, though. I don't even need to watch it. I don't even need to watch it to know that he didn't do as good of a job as Bob Boucher.
Starting point is 00:42:36 I don't even need to fucking watch it. There's no fucking chance. What did he play? Like a guy that was in love? Try playing a fucking Creole guy that's in love with his mama. That doesn't know what love is. What's the actual plot? Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Damn it. There goes that segment. We've just been informed it's a Holocaust movie. So... Yeah. So, I mean, he probably deserved it. I bet Adam could go and be in Life is Beautiful and do a pretty similar acting job as Roberto Benini.
Starting point is 00:43:12 But if Roberto Benini tried to go be Bobby Boucher, he would fail like a fucking miserable. You are attacking Roberto so bad. Nothing against you, Roberto. But I'm kind of in on what you just said. Was this Bobby Boucher's father that disappeared and then came back? It's your daddy. Roberto.
Starting point is 00:43:30 It's your daddy. You can be like Tiger Woods. It's his daddy. Well, yeah. I mean, that's, that is. With the moment of realization of just, oh. Well, sometimes in a Google doc, you have to type, hey, I said that is a Holocaust film and he went, oh, uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:43:58 I think, I think it was more just that like Adam, he was so adamant that Adam Sandler deserved the Oscar that year. What his life is beautiful. What a stupid title. Oh, no. And then him, why? Life is beautiful and being like, that's an incredible movie. Just made it all come full circle.
Starting point is 00:44:18 One of the best things about doing this is when we do paint ourselves into a little corner where we have to take time out of our, out of our episodes. I think there's in season, right? In football season, Jason had to like, we had to go, all right, we got to reserve 20 minutes of episodes so we can review life is beautiful. Turns out great film. Great movie. Great movie. Turns out great movie, great movie. deserving all the awards.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Yeah, let's keep moving to number 78. This is a fairly recent one, but of all the news headlines that this show has found itself involved and this is maybe the funniest because it just seemed like we all needed something to talk about and God bless it, Donna delivered. This is the boys talking about
Starting point is 00:45:00 Donna Kelsey's modest home renovations. Let's talk about the most important news out of the Kelsey family this week. We know everybody's been waiting to hear about it. Everybody's on edge of their seat and we wanted to wait to break this news on the show, but reports have already started to leak out. Yes, everybody already knows about it, man.
Starting point is 00:45:16 We got to talk about it. Yeah. Donna Kelsey is remodeling her modest Florida home. Let's give it up for Donna. Mama. Mama, Kels. Mama.
Starting point is 00:45:28 I told her if she needed me to, like, screw some door hinges in. I could have done it for her, but I guess she wants to do the whole remodel. Have you asked Mom about this? Have you talked to her since this came out? No. I have no idea what this. Should we ask her right now? Yeah, let's call her.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Mom. Yes. We are doing the podcast right now. I'm on with Travis. Mama. She can't hear me. He just said hi. We are wondering this tweet that has taken the world by storm.
Starting point is 00:45:57 It's what the heck? Even TMZ. You know, like, send me a text and said, can you be on? This is really funny. I'm like, it's so stupid. They probably pulled up permit because they're coming on Monday to put my windows and doors. Is it like an HGTV show or is this just like a legitimate random? No, no.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Knew it. They is my, my people are coming to put in my windows on Monday. Wait, you're doing 16 windows? The article says nine. It's because you know my whole apartment is all windows. Well, I just wanted to say, mom, they said modest home and I just, it feels like you're turning this place into a bit of a gilded palace. I think you've changed a little bit.
Starting point is 00:46:38 I think you've, you've had a taste of the good life. and now all of a sudden, what? Yeah. You know me. I'm so, you know, I am so, like, logical. And it's like, I'm doing something so that I can save money on heating and air conditioning. And to keep my windows from sweating. That's as simple as it is.
Starting point is 00:47:00 I know, I know. We're just having fun with it, too. It's amazing. It is hilarious and in an awesome way. We love you. I think it's so funny. It's like, aren't there terrible things happening in the world right? Okay, we don't need to talk about that.
Starting point is 00:47:12 We don't need to talk about that. I love you, Mama. Love you, mom. Love you guys. Bye. Travis is screaming. I love you too as well. Oh, tell Travis.
Starting point is 00:47:21 I'm so happy. He's going back. I'm thrilled for another year. As long as mom approves them doing the right things. Okay, two things that I absolutely loved about this clip and this episode. One, even though I know this is an audio-only version, Wyatt appearing in the background and making all the faces as Travis. So when Jason,
Starting point is 00:47:40 when Jason was on the phone, just incredible, like, generations of Kelsey. Great timing. The other thing, you teed this up by saying like, oh, yeah, we needed something to talk about. Travis announced that he was coming back to the NFL, like, we were waiting weeks for that announcement. And it was like, hey, B block that. We got to talk about Donna. Yeah, actually, we got to get to some real breaking news. Donna is getting shutters.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Donna's getting new doors, possibly. We don't know the stain of the wood yet. We will keep you informed. That's right. That's right. Yes. Thank you to both Ed and Donna for always being available by phone. Yeah. The whole, I mean, well, and the whole family for being available to do a podcast.
Starting point is 00:48:22 It's really been great for us. It's very easy for us. Jake, number 77. Number 77. This is you. Yeah. This is a personal moment. You kept saying clips with me should go higher.
Starting point is 00:48:34 You said that this entire time, you were like every clip of me should be in the top 10. This is bullshit. I actively bought for. You said every clip. I waited to me to be a life dollar. off the list. You said to put them on there, but this is so funny. This was a great clip and, you know, a little backstory.
Starting point is 00:48:50 After this happened, like Travis tried to apologize profusely. And I was like, you are good. This was very cool for me. This was very fun. And it is, it is just like a nice stark reminder when we get to do these like in person episodes because Travis was in studio for this one of just like when you put me on a couch next to an athlete, it becomes very clear which one of us is the athlete. So that was a very fun moment for me. But this was a moment with Sequin Barclay on the show, wondering if the average
Starting point is 00:49:21 person could get a yard in the NFL. For this one, we thought we'd, uh, we'd do a throwback and bring one of our favorite questions for Sequin to answer. Um, at Vink, Isaac. Yep, nailed it. Could an average person gain one yard on a rushing play in the NFL? we uh the average person look at jets jake right now jet shakes come on camera so we can see what you look like check go on come on up here i thought i gotta say yes now i'm just dissing i'm just dissing right no you know that shit by the way
Starting point is 00:49:58 there's no hard feelings here he's a jets guy himself as well you play any ball back in your death no no no there we go if you had to like run a 40 right now like under six seconds no chance no chance so you're just You're not helping to cause at all. How's your vision? What's it play? Forty-three.
Starting point is 00:50:17 What's it like, what's the- 2020 vision? Yeah. That's a start. What's to play? I got, like, actually, I got to say, there's a game I had because of New York Jets at 13 carries and one rushing yard.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Holy cow. And I would say I'm a pretty good running back. At least you got one. So you're probably, probably not getting it. Yeah, average average person probably not getting one yard. And he's out. All right. Had to think that went through.
Starting point is 00:50:41 I think about it sometimes because like if any, like if a garden attack will destroy a double team, like anybody could probably get a yard. But you got to think about how slow it's going to take them to get to the hole. And how fast everything changes, right? Tom told us best. Oh, gosh. They wouldn't even know like. If the average guys judge Jake. If it's outside zone, no shot.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Without a shot. My bad, Jake. No. I love it. You're above average in my heart. Above average person. way above average person that's what matters we don't we don't yeah oh my gosh sake one was trying to be so nice to me man he the no the best part of that clip is if you watch
Starting point is 00:51:27 it you can see Travis scan the room like Terminator and like like you can see him size up everybody and then get to you and go Jake come here and it's he's like oh you were just closer I'm like Travis we were all equalistic you were all there were all watching in front of all of us. And honestly, Grace comment I've received is being skipped over when he was like,
Starting point is 00:51:47 I need to bully somebody and I was like, he knows I could probably get. Not Brandon, not Greg. I could maybe fall forward. I could maybe fall forward for that yard.
Starting point is 00:51:55 He put me behind the right guys. I'm getting it. No, that was incredible. God damn it, that was funny. Where are we at? 76. Number 76.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Honestly, one of my favorite guests, gonna try to get him back on. He is still playing football. But James Winston, electric guest. This is James Winston on his first passing touchdown. Do you have a welcome to the NFL moment?
Starting point is 00:52:19 Well, yes, I have an iconic welcome to the NFL moment. I got two. I got two for you. Well, my very first pass in the NFL was a touchdown. And a lot of people can't never say that, yes, it was a Cody Simpson ball on a pick six. So my very first pass, that was a welcome to that. You got my ass with that one.
Starting point is 00:52:42 So look, this is, this is the craziest thing, right? We both threw a pick on our first, man. Man, that's why I knew you were my brother, man. Our first, both of us were in the interceptions, man. Let's go. Listen, no, bro. Like, I'm going to tell you about this. So I'm in, I'm with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and you know, we got Lovie Smith.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Lovey Smith is our country. He comes from the Tony Dunjee tree. It's going to be two Tampa, spot drop three or man. Right? And he'll probably throw, bring a fireman rush pressure. You know what I'm saying? Play zone, fire zone in the back end. Man, our first game was the great Dick Leboe.
Starting point is 00:53:16 All that defense, all the different looks, odd fronts, precious. Man, the first third down was 36. Man, they ran two-man. I'm coming from college. Man, I ain't seen two-man all year. Man, I set it up, man. I throw a little choice route outbreak, man. Cody Sessabach, jump that thing.
Starting point is 00:53:39 the cut, I was like, oh my God. I had to hop on my horse and I was like, well, it was a touchdown. You know what I'm saying? But at first I was pissed. I was like, man, I wouldn't prepare for this. You know what I'm saying? I didn't think they was going to play no two man.
Starting point is 00:53:53 I was like, what is two men? That's too funny. You know? First third, now he played two men, like, welcome to the NFL. Like, I thought I was an athletic quarterback. You played me two men? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Like now, and then look, nowadays, you watch the film, you're like, oh, yeah. Oh, they play two men. Some people say cover five. Everybody's got me. You hear the quarterback coach. Man, look, it's embarrassing if they play two men against you.
Starting point is 00:54:16 And I'm just like, oh, man. Oh, dang. So it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing that they play a two man against me. And it worked? Oh, my God. And I'm like, and it worked. I should have ran.
Starting point is 00:54:29 I could listen to Jamis for hours. Genuinely, genuinely open invite, James. Just come back on. What's going on? Anytime. Number 75 on our list. from again, maybe the greatest episode we've ever done. This is Taylor.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Talking about Jason's, what did she call it? His aftercare? His aftercare. Jason's aftercare. All righty. Do you have any questions for us? We're kind of out of the questions for this section. Is there anything you wanted to ask Travis or I?
Starting point is 00:55:01 I mean, you have a, you put Travis on the spot right now. Yeah. I know. Oh, God. Well, I don't know. I was wondering how that wax is growing in. I don't know. Because I haven't talked to in a couple weeks about it,
Starting point is 00:55:13 and I just feel like it's really important for you to make sure that those hairs getting a little itchy, bud? No, it's fine. When you go, like, when you go from fur to no fur at all. And you can wear us because we got some thick hair. It's like important to figure out. Like I mean, just don't tell us too much. Are we, how are we doing?
Starting point is 00:55:35 We're doing good. We're managing it. We're not. managing it. That's how we're managing it is we're not managing it. Okay. It's, fortunate for me. Slend the grass grow fast. Yep. It's coarse. It's got a texture that was difficult for about a couple weeks. Very itchy. Yep. That's what I thought. We've passed that phase now. And are we going to do it again? Do you think? I don't think so. And I listen, shout out to the people in downtown Philadelphia. They did a great job. You're being wags. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:56:07 I don't think it's going to be. recurring bit. Yeah, it was the best it could have been. I also don't think I'm going to find myself in a Speedo again. Jason walked into a door that said European wax and was treated with the utmost respect in class. He had to try it in order to know. That's life, you know.
Starting point is 00:56:27 It feels important that you did it. And also, because now you know. Because now you know. I know what I always say that after, after I make unfortunate, just. judgment calls. Right? Well, now I know. Now I know.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Had to try it. The one thing I didn't try was... Wasn't great. Wasn't great. Wouldn't do it again. Yep. Yep. Brandon, do you want to talk about how this even got into the show?
Starting point is 00:56:53 Well, this, I mean, it's very funny because you just never know, like, with all the shenanigans we do, what makes its way to other people. And I did ask her beforehand. I was like, hey, you know, we're going to, at the very end of the show, we sometimes tossed to the guest of like, hey, do you have any questions? Like, you know, we're idiots. You, you fucking ask us something. And I was like, you know, I don't want to catch you off guard with that.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Like, is there anything you wanted to ask the guys? She goes, oh, I got to know about Jason, how that wax is feeling. And I said, oh, my God. Because I believe he had, it was still very fresh. Yes. Did Jason ever put up the video. It was like a monthish later. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:29 The shore was around 4th of July and this was. Right. It was about a month later. So, yeah, he had about a month of aftercare that she needed to get caught up on. And did he even. He never put out the video of the wax, did he? Nope. That is still just burned into your memory.
Starting point is 00:57:44 You guys should bully Jason about that video because some people might have it on their phones. Some people might have been in the room. If you're looking for extra footage, Jason's got some of his waxing. Listen, we're bonded. Moving on to number 74. This is season one. Man, we're throwing it back.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Season one, all-time guests, Mr. Patrick Mahomes. we had already, God, episode 15 in season one, we'd already really become the de facto QB sneak show at this point. And I think we had Pat on. And we were like, well, he's got a QB sneak story. His knee fell off. So this is Patrick Holmes talking about why he does not quarterback sneak. I believe in the quarterback sneak.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Like, just sometimes you kind of watch out for your kneecaps. I'm like 95% and one kneecap short of being 100%. I think it makes a ton of sense. that you don't do quarterback sneaks? I remember being on the ground, and my kneecap was in the side of my calf, and the worst part was the reaction from every teammate I have.
Starting point is 00:58:44 You know, guys usually kind of boots you up. I had dudes running 50 yards away from me, just running down to the other side of the field. My center's yelling, get off me. Get off me! I'm like, I can't move. What do you want me to do? My kneecap is in the back of my leg.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I was pretty hyped because I have small calves, and so it kind of made it kind of bulge out a little bit more. I went back to the locker room and I had to get the x-rays and stuff like that, It was a funny story because they hit me with the, and everything's negative, look good. And they had, like, the intern trainers in there with you at that point. But I walked up to the guy and I was just like,
Starting point is 00:59:14 am I going back out there? And he's like, no, no, no, sir, you're not. And then he knows me. I'm flipping out. Why not? My knee's fine. They said negative. Wrong place.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Wrong time, bud. Pat was awesome, man. And it was like, just, just, you know, breaking the fourth wall, I guess, a little bit too, of just, you know, we, from the moment the show started, we were like, well, Travis. Travis. somebody's got to ask pat someone got to ask pat and when pat came on yeah he was everything we could have hoped for and just uh you know like obviously him and Travis go way back too but uh from us like
Starting point is 00:59:49 from a show standpoint pat being our second guest ever on the 15th ever episode of the show was just it you know it took us to new heights and uh we stumbled we stumbled into a great idea there yeah eventually um it was awesome so shout up to pat i'm sure we will have plenty more pat moments on this list so i don't want to no yeah dive too deep too early all right moving on to number 73 after the super bowl season one we were flooded with requests to feature other sports leagues trophies so we ended up i think we had we had god we had the stanley o'brien we had the larry o'brien came through i think Travis eventually had the lombardy on later but this was a great moment where you know the stanley cup comes to your house and like what
Starting point is 01:00:36 else do you do besides put your kids in it and these this is jason kids jason's kids having mixed reactions to the stanley cup look at the cup in the cup oh wow baby girl good head control baby what are you guys seeing this this is adorable baby baby baby baby baby look at baby bany oh we don't need to wash it That was a moment. Remember that forever. Passy in the cup. How about that? I hope she poops right now. I think, too, we had discussed earlier on the show, like, what is the greatest trophy in sports?
Starting point is 01:01:17 That's true. Which led to all these people trying to show off. They were like, no, it's our trophy. Yes. You know, no offense to any of the others, the Stanley Cup. It's the Stanley Cup. It's the Stanley Cup. Yeah. It's the Stanley Cup.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Yeah. And so the fact, you know, the fact that Benny's going to grow up one day and be like, holy shit I was in the Stanley Cup is really cool. And one of my sisters was crying. Yeah, and it's really cool. And it's really cool that happened on our show. All right. Second or last moment for this episode,
Starting point is 01:01:47 I think a guest that we were like, well, let's see how this goes. I think I did not know this is going to go. I think it'll be good. One of our most electric guests of the season by far. Yeah. Eagles fans will remember this one. This is Eagles fan Sam Salvo.
Starting point is 01:02:04 coming on after the Eagles hired their new offensive coordinator. There was a viral clip that went wild on social media following the Eagles exit from the postseason this year with a child. Feeling two of two things. A, I want A.J. Brown packing his bags and I want him somewhere else. Jesus. And I also want Kevin Petulow flipping burgers at like the local McDonald's or something. I don't care.
Starting point is 01:02:25 Sam, welcome to the show. Hey, what's up? He's got this spatula for a microphone. Sam, I got to know. What were your impressions of your viral? moment. What did everybody tell you at school? Kids of school went crazy. Like, because I don't even know. Like, they just came up for no fucking reason.
Starting point is 01:02:41 I don't even know, man. Obviously, you weren't a big fan of Kevin Petulow. What do you think of the Sean Mannion hire? I hope that he can work with Jalen better than Patulo did because I think that if he could work with Jordan Love and make him a top tier passer in the NFL. I think that maybe he could work with Jalen better than Petulow. What do you want the Eagles to run this year? What formations and schemes? Who again?
Starting point is 01:03:03 Let's hear. Let's hear. I want them to run it more to their strong side of their offensive line. Because, like, really, it was this year. It was more like up the middle runs. And really, with Kell and Moore, we didn't see that as much. And that's when Sequin had, like, one of the best years of all time, if not the best rushing year of all time.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Man, you're out here watching Phil, dude. How much of what you were saying after the game is stuff that your dad's been yelling at you furiously for the past six months? Absolutely nothing, actually. None of it? I came up with pretty much every single word. Except the part that I want, AJ Brown packing his bags, because I wasn't sure 100% about that.
Starting point is 01:03:42 I still want Patulow flipping burgers. No questions asked. You're sticking to it. Both were like a true birds fan, man. I mean, genuinely, the kid knows ball. Like, I did not know. You never know when you're inviting the Eagles fan into your space, what you're going to get.
Starting point is 01:03:59 You really don't know. It's like a wild animal being set loose inside. When he popped on camera with the spatula microphone, I was like, we're good. We're good to go. Like, yeah, just hit record. This kid knows what he's doing. This kid's made it talk shit. All right.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Last clip of this episode, number 71, we have Will Ferrell giving dating advice as Will Ferrell characters. So something we do on this show is answer voicemails from our fans. And we've asked them to call in asking for relationship advice, because who doesn't want to hear relationship advice from a couple of knuckleheads? Would you like to help us on these? Oh, sure. You want a job, man?
Starting point is 01:04:36 Let's do it, man. Here's the thing. You could answer some of these questions as one of your characters, maybe. Okay. Nice. Yes. Oh, I'm so excited. Hey, Travis.
Starting point is 01:04:48 Hey, Jason. Big Chief fan. Three Pete coming. Just wanted to know your advice for a first date when you should know those red flags and when to look for the green flags. Go, Chief. Red flags, green flags, green flags. When to look for the red flags, when to look for the green flags?
Starting point is 01:05:08 Let's see. Ricky Bobby would say, look, I don't know anything about red flag or green flag. You just got to get yourself into a position to look for the checkered flag. Because, I mean, there's only one thing you need to worry about. I mean, if you ain't first, you're last. Yeah, baby. I would just tell that young lady to look for the checker flag. You got to find your way to the finish line, guys.
Starting point is 01:05:46 I don't know if that's good advice or bad. It sounds like bad advice. I think it's kind of metaphorically, it makes sense. You got to find your way to the finish line. You know? I loved it, man. That shit was fucking gold. That was so good.
Starting point is 01:06:00 So good. I mean, Will's the best. Will's the best. We've said every guest is the best, but we should keep saying it. Will, listen, we walked back asswords into an incredible Ricky Bobby moment there. So Will, fantastic. We welcome you back anytime. Thank you for helping Jason achieve his dreams of dunking. Did you mean to say back asswords? No. No, back asswords I did, yes. Oh, okay. No, that was. I was like, that does weirdly work, but I don't know if he meant to do it. You don't say it that way? This is awesome.
Starting point is 01:06:32 And it's been really cool to have such big names on this show who immediately like buy into the bits. Oh, yeah. They're not bullshit. Like Will Ferrell being like, yeah, I'll do some heights hotline and no dumb questions. It's like so far beyond our wildest dreams when we first did no dumb questions. Like we're going to try to get more of your voicemails in front of the guests. I think that's always like an electric moment because none of us know how this is going to go or
