You got what were your biggest takeaways from the episode? Man, I just enjoyed hearing this guy talk some ball, man. It was some enlightening stories. Him calling Brady a asshole at first. It was pretty funny. Yeah. Honestly, just hearing him talk the evolution of kind of how he saw my success kind of build throughout the league and how you got noticed. I mean, I thought that was really cool. You never I'd never heard that from from Rob. And you know, knowing that he's on my side in terms of NBA players going to the NFL or NFL players going to the NBA

You know that kind of just solidified that you know, yeah I thought he was coming across really well until he agreed with that Staying that you've made before I think it's a bad take but the rest of the interview I thought was great and obviously Both of you guys talking about each other, thought that was a great content because, I feel like everybody thinks of it in terms of like, it's like enemies, but you could tell how much you two truly appreciate each other's game and expertise for your craft,

but at the same time being insanely competitive. Yeah. And I thought that that's one of the greatest things that came from that episode, as well as great content about, you know, Tom, Bill, the Patriot Way. He was very open in sharing a lot of things and also touched on Grok Beach a little bit, which hopefully neither of us will be able to go to, but it does sound like a fun time. Not this one. I'll be at the next one though. Do you think he was as expected? Yeah. You feel like there's like a brand. There's a Grock brand.

Was he on brand? 100%. He's big Bob, big Bob Grant Gasky. I thought he was a great man. He was freaking awesome. He's charismatic. He was fun. Bracelet energy baby.

And dude, I will say this. I have not met him. You've met him so you know Rob. I was not expecting him to be that thoughtful in that like, I don't know, I thought he offered great perspective. I'm not trying to like, like to do surprise me in that regard to be honest with you. I think I think you're, you're not alone in that regard. I mean, I'm obviously being around him once or twice

or at least listening to him speak on a few different things throughout his career. I've heard that, all right, this guy is, you know, he's not exactly what the media portrays him in that regard for sure. Yeah, he is labeled as just this like part of your outgoing, like, you know, fly by the seat of his pants type guy Like I kind of thought he would be like this like unplanned kind of just you know go with the flow

But not man. Well, it was 27 in the first half and then jaguar scored right before the half to make it 27 7 if I believe Correct But hey According to our producers third largest postseason come back in NFL history. Lawrence knew four picks in the first half, which, I mean, most of those weren't on him. There's a couple of flukes. He had an RPO right to start off.

Guy tipped the ball, interception, another one where a guy got hands on it at the top of a route. Didn't get out of the break way. Right. So I saw the first, the first, I saw the first quarter and a half, and I ended up going home. And by the time I got home, it was finally half time, it's 27.7. I'm like, they're only up 20. Like in my head watching the game, like it felt like they were up way more than just 20. Like I saw them before the half was huge.

If they would have scored before the half, I don't, I was very skeptical on whether they were going to come back. The moment they scored before half, I was like, you know what? I'm going to keep watching this. Let's see what happens. Yeah. Because a 20 point lead is way different than, you know, I mean, a four score. We've done it. And we've talked about just momentum in general. Momentum is a real thing.

Yeah. Some of the biggest times a score during a game or start an end of a half. So the end of half with points like that, not just a field goal, but with a touchdown, you're kind of ending on a good note. So you got a little bit of more juice when you go into that. Yeah, do you have any, Doug, halftime stories?

I feel like I should have them. Yeah, I, I, I don't know. I don't really have, I don't know if I have any halftime stories. I just, I remember Dougy P coming in when he was the OC and being very, uh, very good at channelling us in the right direction going into the second half. I thought he always had great command and great you know respect out of the guys around him to

get the challenge you know whether it was you, calling out guys play tougher or give more, you know, play with higher energy, whatever it may be, you know, whatever it is that's keeping you or if it is a negative thing going on in the first half, I always thought that he was good at, you know, calling it out respectively and challenging the guys to be able to fix it. Yeah, he was like that. 99% of the time, Doug, was Doug is an incredibly positive person and guy that is bringing positive energy.

There were a couple of times where we'd be in a half time to half-fence, get your heads out of your asses. That was one of his favorite things, where he's like really mad. We gotta get our heads out of our asses. And I'm like, that's a good point. Uh, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

But no, I don't know. I think most coaches, whenever things are going bad, they have a way of understanding the situation. And I think Doug was one of the best at kind of understanding what the guys need to hear, whether it's kind of getting called out to get some energy going, do something, make something happen, or whether it's like, hey, just stay true to the process, you know, we're close, you know,

he was very good at understanding what the situation dictated and whatever it did for this half time of work because they come back out, when the game. I mean, but it didn't help without a little bit of, or it didn't happen without a little bit of help from the chargers. Three goal lead, man. Three goal lead.

Worse goal lead and hockey, which by the way, do you know, some people say it's two goal lead as a worse goal lead and hockey? I was always told it was three goal leads, the worst and hockey. There's definitely did their effort to help, um, not just with a between the game management. I think they only called eight runs in the second half. They're two 15 year penalties, were they both unsports well like? If it's both unsports like conducts. They're two 15-year penalties where they both and sports were like if it's both unsportsmen like, doesn't it? I think you get it after two.

So they warned them after the first one. If he gets another one, it's an ejection. So I don't, but for some reason, he wasn't ejected after the second one. So I don't know how that works. I don't know what happened either. I've gotten two unsportsmen like conducts and I have been ejected.

So I thought that that was one of the most awesome moments of the pull probably the best moment of the postseason so far. To get the first down, of course, they end up being able to kick the game. We already know where I stand on quarterback sneaks and it would have scored if he wouldn't have reached. So I think it's a good call. I just don't, yeah, I was bad execution. And, but yeah, I mean, listen, I know that, you know, obviously you would like JK to have more support of his teammates. But you can understand the frustration and the guy wants to make a play. He wants to get a carry.

That's good. You want a guy to go out there and do that. And you know what? I don't know. I mean, yeah, they probably do win if they have the mark. I don't know, but that's who knows. But I know, either way, I thought Huntley did a decent job, though. All things considered.

I mean, they were in a position to win the game. The defense is playing pretty good. He was playing good. They're running the ball well. He was making some good decisions. So, you know, just an unfortunate play. Speculations on Lamar's injury, Michael Vick had something to say about Jackson's reluctancy to play with a PCL sprain. I'm never the one to ever talk about somebody's injury or what they're feeling or what they're going through. But Mike said in quotes, it's the playoffs. Your three games away. Put a brace on it.

Get it going. Put a brace on it. Let's go. I played a whole season with a sprained MCL. That is, I think it might be a little unfair. You never know how somebody's injury is affecting them compared to how there's different degrees of sprains and I'll say this a PCL is much different than an MCL. I've known a lot of guys that have

played with MCL sprains. PCLs are usually a lot more cautious with especially with young players. For some reason PCLs have been very problematic with quarterbacks in particular. And you know, you saw, I'll let you do the quote from RG3, but RG3 is a prime example why, you know, you don't want to mess around with your PCL, your LCL. You know, I think that, you know, not all ligaments are the same, not all grades, the sprains are the same. And I got a feeling that, you know, if Lamar felt that he was in a position where he could have been healthy enough to go out there and play without risking ruining his knee, he probably would have been out there. So there's no question in my mind that guy is a competitor, man. He loves this shit. He's, he's, he's in it for

the right reasons. RG3 weighed in, like you said, this is why you don't put a brace on it in play. I played with no ACL and LCL for my brothers and team, changed the trajectory of my career. Hindsight 2020. I didn't have the luxury of that. Lamar does and he's doing the right thing. I think it's a great tweet from RG Because I was in the league when that happened with him and he was having a tremendous rookie year. Future looked really bright and you know, I don't like saying that, you know, that was the reason his career didn't pan out the way it looked like it was going to his rookie year.

But man, you know, it certainly look like a paid a role. Knee injuries, they're tough. And some of them you can play through, when you start talking about ACLs, PCLs, LCLs, I don't know that that's a good idea to play with stuff like that, because you're talking about stuff that is a lot more braces help with MCL injuries.

And they can't help with the LCL, but LCO is just a tricky ligament in general. I'm not a doctor, but what I do know is I firmly believe that Mark could have been out there in a healthy and productive way he would have been out on the field. That's what I believe. And I think it speaks to Mike being a competitor, in saying that he would have played through it, but it also speaks to RG3 having the sage wisdom of having gone through something and not going too well for him to be able to speak up on behalf of Lamar.
