You had a beef with a Carson legend, nigga?
Starting point is 00:03:30 I'm going to tell you what happened. They had a little tension on the screen. No, I'm going to what happened, right? So I'm getting into this streaming thing. I was doing the streamer thing for where I was fighting to get out of my contract. I needed something to do. I got ADHD bad. Like, it's very, very bad.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Like, to the point I can't even, like, it's killing me to sit still like this right now. Right. I have a very bad case of ADHD. Like, I want to go outside so bad and see a Dominican woman that shakes her ass and get behind it. No, you hoarse. That's not ADHD now. That's what you call it. Like, so bad, right?
Starting point is 00:04:01 It's horny. Yeah. So I'm getting into the streamer shit. There's an inch in there. And I'm realizing like, damn. If you're going to really win with the streaming thing, you got to go outside. You can't just sit on this computer. Everybody ain't act.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Right. Right. I know you don't like act, but whatever, right? Everybody ain't at it. So when I'm looking at it, I'm kind of like, I'm like, damn, I got to go outside. Adrian Bruner is my dog. When my baby mother was figuring, we was figuring our life out at a point. point in time around 2016, 2017.
Starting point is 00:04:40 We used to live in Vegas. She was working at Dres. Okay. Right? I used to see A.B. Every time I drop her off at work. Every time. And me and this nigga, A, B, and just go to the bar.
Starting point is 00:04:52 We chop it up and we just drink and we talk. And this nigger made me feel like I was somebody when I felt like I was nobody. And I got love for that nigga. Yeah. So he's in L.A. He's like, brother, pull up on me. come up we're doing the stream like come pull up on me i'm like bet
Starting point is 00:05:11 i pull up ray j is there i know ray jay through my dog phonics that was the first time me and ray j made through my dog phonics shout out phonics who actually did j cole's no role model fire beat
Starting point is 00:05:23 fire pretty incredible incredible i didn't you i don't know my brother right there's crazy right so we're in the house and ray jay just out of nowhere just walks up to me and say I fuck niggas like you in the booty for a living, nigga.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Oh. And I'm like, I'm like. That's on par for Ray J. I'm like, I'm like, Ray. If you know the greatest, if you know the greatest radio interview of all time, which is the breakfast club at Ray J. That is. That's on bar.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Like, he probably said that for shit. He could grab my little brother downstairs. His name's eight. That's crazy. I'm sure Ray J said that. So Ray J says, I fuck niggas like you and the booty for a living
Starting point is 00:06:09 and I'm like I don't know what to say to that I'm like huh? Yeah, right You know what I'm saying? Like where are we going with this? Right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:23 And I'm thinking because it's Ray J. I'm like, this nigga playing. He nod. I'm like, Ray, get your drunk ass out of here. Yeah. Bro, go over there, right? Nah, nigga, I'm serious. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:35 You'll get raped through. around these parts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So now at this point, I'm like, I gotta defend myself. This thing is the fuck me. This thing is what the fuck me? Mama's like, lock my ass.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? You'll get raped around these parts is the craziest thing I've ever heard in my life. Like right here and it's house. Like right now? Right? So I'm like, like, like right now.
Starting point is 00:06:59 I'm a, I'm a bay nigga at dinner. Yeah, bro. Like, you're not just going to say this in my face. Right, right, right. And this is just going to be okay. Right. Right. So A, B steps in, right?
Starting point is 00:07:11 I grab them. I grab them by his car. How did I miss it? I'm like, it wasn't on camera. That's the part that wasn't on camera. Okay. So if you remember, look, if you go back and watch it, everything starts from the girl saying, hey, they fighting.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Yeah. And the camera turns. Yeah. At that point was where we was getting into it. A.B. stepped into the middle of it. Mm-hmm. Right. He steps.
Starting point is 00:07:35 into the middle of it. I'm like, nigger, what is we like, what is we talking about? The nigga Ray J says, I fuck you in the booty, nigga. I say, hey, bro, bring your bitch ass outside.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Come outside. Like, come outside, right? I'm not worried about this, nigga, this nigga, this, brandy brother. Right, right. This nigga ain't no threat.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Right. You feel me like this, bro. Right. I know this, nigga. I didn't been around this, you're tripping right now, right? Bro, we get outside this nigga. Sim, we trolling.
Starting point is 00:08:05 This is how we self-streaming, we trolling. As he's saying this, his homeboy walk up, Long Beach gangster Crip Cuss. So I'm like, hey, nigga, I don't know you. I know him. He just told me y'all was playing. You can't play with me like that, nigga. I will fuck you up in here. That's where the whole shit happened.
Starting point is 00:08:30 There's too many niggas playing. There's too much playing. It's too much playing going. Y'all made me realize. I got to get the fuck off. And then why is my ass a playing? I got to get the fuck off street. Why are playing with that?
Starting point is 00:08:41 You're playing with that. You're like, you're going to play you. That's not the punch line. Literally. Page, edit out the part where I said Carson Legend, take that out. No, no. Leave that in there, Nick. He's a Carson.
Starting point is 00:08:52 He's a Carson legend. All right. Take Carson out. He's a legend. This is the crazy part. So this is the crazy part. We got a mutual homie named Big Duke. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:02 He's a producer. Big Duke, no, not. Duke, that's my nigga. Notch and Ray J together every single day. They wine. Some wine. He's gonna be mad. Okay, let me get another drink, too, Pete.
Starting point is 00:09:14 So, Notch and Ray J. Notch and Ray J is like homies, right? Okay. Natch called Big Duke. Big Duke like my brother. Okay. Duke called me. He like, hey, man, what the fuck going on?
Starting point is 00:09:27 We gotta go fix this shit with Ray J. Like, I don't like the way this shit. Look, I said, bro, nigga, told me he was trolling last night. He boo-boo. He's like, no, we got to go pull up on him. So Duke comes get me the next day from my house. Okay. I'm literally like hungover.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I got a headache. I just threw up an hour ago, like all kind of shit. I get in the car, we go to Ray J. Studio. I walk through the door, bro, and this niggas like. Right. Give me a hug, nigga. You put it in the cup. Give me a hug.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I love you, nigga. Yeah. You want to do a boxing match? Thank you, Max. Okay. So he's on, he just, he's just, he's just, he's going to do that. Ray, I'm not doing that, bro. Whatever, whatever he could build up to be.
Starting point is 00:10:12 He's just with the boo-ish. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? He was all the boo-s shit. Because he's going to get paid for anything. Yeah. And I literally asked me, we fuck around to a box man and I get a real thing. And I get, I get fucking, we can get $10 million. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:22 I literally asked the nigga. I say, bro, as one of the greatest vocalist brothers. Yeah. Like, how do you? That was crazy. That was crazy. That was crazy. No, that was crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I literally asked them in his face. I'm saying that's crazy. I said, nigga, she's one of the greatest vocalist ever, and you're her brother, right? I like one wish.
Starting point is 00:10:42 How do you do this? I love one wish. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, how do you, like, how does this go along with the family? That's why I tell people I tell them.
Starting point is 00:10:48 I get brandy so much credit. Yeah. Because she, she just love her brother. I literally ask them, I say, how does this go with your sister? Like, when you say certain things,
Starting point is 00:10:56 like do your mom get mad? Like, how does this work? This nigga looks in me and say, shit, they just know what? me at the end of the day we got to eat Thanksgiving together
Starting point is 00:11:08 we got to do Christmas we got to that's an amazing sister and I said In other words, nigga I'm family I'm a man like a minute. Yeah I'm a nigga what they're gonna do like we're family You family and I was like you know what I get it I just don't play
Starting point is 00:11:24 that way but I get if that's what works for you bro salute to you just don't ever play with me like yeah yeah that's yeah you remember when we saw Bernie and Monica I don't remember on that the last night Ray J was allowed on the tour. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:11:37 He put a video out. He put a video about Jay and Beyonce. I was like, I don't want to fuck up my sister's tour. Because we saw Ray J when we were, well, no, maybe I was grabbing D-Dot. But in that back area, Ray J and Billy was all over there. Oh, I didn't see that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:51 And that was the last night. He went on video, said, I don't want to fuck up my sister's tour. And we start talking shit about Beyonce. But I'm going to tell you something about, he was in the building. I'm going to tell you something about Ray J. I fuck a Ray J. As crazy as that.
Starting point is 00:12:04 that nigga come across, that nigga's very smart. Super. Oh, 100. Very calculated. 100%. Most shit that y'all see where y'all just thinking, he's just saying some shit. He's already thought through. He knows the way it's going to react. He already thought it through.
Starting point is 00:12:18 That nigga is very fucking. It's a method to his madness. It's a method to his madness. It's madness, but there's a method. 100. For sure. For sure. I get it. For sure. Should we get into this the Shike project again? Have you have you given it more time?
Starting point is 00:12:31 I have. But like I said when I came in, I liked, I like the project. I was a little underwhelmed because I think I just expected more but that's me putting my expectations on somebody so I'll take that
Starting point is 00:12:42 but it wasn't like when I, the album first came out I saw a few people on the timeline killing it. They didn't like it. Really?
Starting point is 00:12:48 Yeah, and I was like... I actually haven't seen anything bad about it. But I don't really get into that. Like I can see people, I've seen people say they hate something and I hear it
Starting point is 00:12:57 and I'm just like, all right. Yeah. Like I get why people have their own taste, their own. Everybody's different. But I listen to it.
Starting point is 00:13:04 I like the project. I'm not mad at it. I think some of the hooks were a little lazy, though. The music is good. Production is incredible. The music is good. I just think some of the hooks were a little lazy. And I expected him to rap better on certain songs.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Okay. But I think, again, I'll repeat myself. I think Chike is a star. Yeah. I think that he's really dope. I like his energy. And, you know, I just think that he's, we're watching him in real time. blossom, make mistakes, not hit the mark necessarily.
Starting point is 00:13:38 But that's fine. You know what I'm saying? Like that happens. That's something that is, you know, very few artists are going to get it right most of the time. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's artists that are established that will come out and not get it right. Still miss, right? You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:13:51 And I'm not saying. With a few albums. Right. And I'm not saying this is a miss for Trike. I'm not, I don't want to. This is not a miss for me. I think that this album is going to. Good foundation.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I feel like. Good foundation. I think that this album is going to be something that people go back to. two, three years from now, I'd be like, you, that shit was all right. Yeah. Yeah, I, uh, I've been a trike fan, like, on record and off record for years. And so, um, the growth in, like,
Starting point is 00:14:16 his artistry or whatnot to me on this project was like, super, super crazy because Chike has always been like the LA outside ratchet rapper with a lot of the homies that he does music with and stuff like that. So like, shout out Rucci and A.T. Sway and all these other dudes, like that was kind of like his, his box. So him getting like the dot cosine and then stepping up his artistry because he, you know, probably felt like he had to. But for him to do that and hit the mark when he's always lived in this world to me is like really, really fire. And I can see how serious he's taking it.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Like with conversations me and him have had and even just all the content stuff he's put out, I can see how serious he's taking the music. So it shows me that he's like growing in that way. So I fuck with it. I fuck with it. And I mean, we did talk about the album. but because you are the NRM senior West Coast correspondent, I felt like we needed to talk about it again and get more and more time to listen to it.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Demaris, did you get a chance? I know you've been busy. I heard some of it. But I am also very much aware that I'm, it is not as West Coast as, for example, a GNX is, but it is still West Coast. And I have to. But why do y'all see that?
Starting point is 00:15:23 I think this album is very West Coast. It is. It is West Coast, but it's not. It's not a degree how minimal, and I mean that not in a bad way, how minimal GNX is to the West Coast sound. Yeah. That's like the bare bones West Coast South.
Starting point is 00:15:35 What's crazy is I was talking to Rory before I got here. And that was my only knock on the album. I wanted it to be more West Coast. I was like, yo, you know, a knock that guy's favorite on there. I wanted like five of those. You know what I do? Another knock that I have. And again, that's just me listening to it.
Starting point is 00:15:50 It sounds more heavily Bay influenced than L.A. influenced. The music. But to me, which glasses head, every Coast Guard out there, don't kill me. I felt like the new age LA sound is heavily influenced by the Bay. Yeah, I was about to say, I feel like... GNX to me is very Bay. Yeah, I'm about to say,
Starting point is 00:16:11 GNX to me sounded closer to a Bay area sound than it did. Like that bounce. The bounce to it. Yeah, and honestly, like, to me, it's like, it's like, I don't know, like I've never separated. I know some people do separate it, but to me, like, L.A. in the Bay is, like, we're one. We're cousins and we're like it's never been no in my world.
Starting point is 00:16:34 It's never been no division. You get I'm saying? So when people say like, oh, a Bay Area artist might be influenced by L.A. sound or vice versa, I just kind of look at it like niggas is just all on the same coast, making the same. You get them saying? Like that's how I viewed it. And it wasn't until more recently with all the politics with the beef and all that, that it kind of started being more separate. We had, and I really, really don't want to make this a Drake Kendrick thing whatsoever.
Starting point is 00:16:58 But we did have a very good conversation. off mic after the Shike album came out. And we talked about just the music on air. But off air, we talked about some bullshit, which maybe would be better for podcasting if we switched that. For sure, exactly. But that's just not our show.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Yeah, yeah. We did have the conversation of, do we think if Drake reached out to Shipe, would he do a record with Drake? I don't think he would. I don't think he would. I don't think he would. I think that, I think
Starting point is 00:17:24 Shike is very loyal to what he feels like gave him a shot because Chike has been around for a long time and Dot really gave him a shot. You get what I'm saying. I think Chike is very loyal to what gave him a shot. I'm not sitting here and saying that it would be the easiest decision or what. I don't know, but I do think that I don't think that there's a world that Chike would say yes to that. Outside of the optics, I would also look at it like you're doing this. You're trying to use me as a pawn in something. Exactly. This isn't some goodhearted, I fuck with you type of thing. And to be honest what you like, and I'm usually on the side of like stay out of the beef and shit.
Starting point is 00:18:03 If Chike did do that, I would think Chike was corny. I would. I would think that's corny. And I would only think it's corny not because no West Coast niggins should work with Drake, but because Dot really did change his life completely. Okay. You get what I'm saying? And you think that's the difference between the Pilo situation where-I think that's the difference.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Like if there was a world where like Pilo where Dot has like changed Pilo's life in some type of way, then I do think that when niggas hit you for the Dropbox link, you at least, ask some questions. You get what I'm saying? Like I got some producer homies that once the beef started happening, you know, they, you know, on Drake's side of things and whatnot. And when certainty niggas hit them for beats, they was
Starting point is 00:18:39 kind of like, what's it for? Like, you got to start asking a little bit more questions because now it's kind of, but that's because Drake has changed their life. Like, Kentrick and Pilo have never done anything. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, we both West Coast, like, Pilo, I'm talking about we, Pilo and Dot. They both West Coast niggas, but like
Starting point is 00:18:55 it's never been anything whatsoever. So it's like if somebody's like, yo, if I'm Plo and they hit my manager, they're like, yo, Drake working on Iceman. Yeah. Like he won a Bay record. Send some Bay beats. I don't know that this nigga's in there recording, you know what I mean? Too hard for the radio.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I'm just sending a pack. And then I'm crossing my fingers when the album drops. I hoping that I get one to land. You get them saying, that's it. And I even saw them doing a breakdown of how they made the beat because it was like four of them. It started out with just loops. And then they started at it. Like there was no intention of like...
Starting point is 00:19:29 It's different if like the beat got to like hit him up sample and all. Like, you get what I'm saying? Niggas just got a baby beat, bro, and they just sent it to Drake. And Drake ain't sending a nigga, bro. I got homies that's very close to Drake that don't know if they get in the placement to the album drive. And these are niggas that's like actually in the studio with Drake. Yeah. And they don't know if they got the placement until the album actually dropped.
Starting point is 00:19:53 So how to fuck would Pilo know that? I mean, I guess, all right. I don't agree with glasses. but to your point with Shaik and that entire thing, maybe Glasses is viewing it the same way in that regard where I was like, oh, if Drake reached out, Shaik, it would be some pawn shit. Now, I don't think Drake has wrapped over Bay shit
Starting point is 00:20:10 before he's wrapped over Mac Drey Sample. The motto is one of his biggest records ever. Two short shit he's redone. Like, we've seen, but, and I think this is smart of Drake, if you're going to say, you think the Bay going to let you disrespect Pock in a diss, all right, I'm going to be petty and go make a big. And that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:20:26 You're being used as a pawn by Drake. But I don't, but it's a chess move. Don and Drake been playing chess since. Yes, both of them. For the last 12 years, they've been playing chess, bro. So it's a chess move that Drake did. Kudos Drake. I'm just speaking on like attacking pilo and it's like glasses.
Starting point is 00:20:43 You know how this industry shit. You know that that's not what that is. I just think all of that shit is stupid. I do. I do too. I do too. Okay, so if that's the case, am I now mad at whoever studio they recorded this in? Like, yo, we're not fucking with that studio no more.
Starting point is 00:20:58 I agree. That shit is dumb. You put yourself in a whole different. I agree. What are we talking about here? That's why I only think it's not stupid when it comes to shit like niggas directly having real relationships with people. So like if Dot wanted to come sit on the couch, you look crazy. I don't give a fuck how you slice it.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Me? Yes. If Dot wants to come sit on. On Rory and all? Yes. I think that I wouldn't let Kendra come up in? I'm saying that you look crazy if you don't conduct that interview in a certain way. Oh, no, for sure.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Yeah. So that's all I'm saying. I'm going to be mall in the A and 1,000% And I'm going to let Kendrick know that was corny. Exactly. So that's all I'm saying is that when you have a personal relationship with somebody, I do feel like, like for trike, talking about the trike example, it does, it comes off corny.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Like this nigga recited your verse at the Super Bowl. Like he gave you a look and gave you a chance when he didn't have to. I completely would never expect Chike to say yes to that. When I think that as a human behind closed doors, are you like, fuck. You get them saying yes. Like, nigga, it's Drake. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:21:56 But it's like, you know, you got to stand on the side of defense when it's a personal relationship that you personally benefited from. And I think that's the biggest difference between the trike shit and the pilo shit. It's not comparable to me. This record is on. Miley is having a moment. New name, new album, closed shows. Good Game with Sarah Spain is the only daily podcast for all your WNBA needs. Be the smartest fan at the sports bar
Starting point is 00:25:56 by learning all the W stories, stake stats, and stars, and hear from top players and coaches about their pregame routines, the pressure of playoff basketball, and the moments that define legacies. Can we actually compete for a championship? And I think the answer is yes.
Starting point is 00:26:10 You know, the best part about stuff was is parents have come up to me. Thank you. You helped my relationship with my daughter so much. It goes a lot further than you would think. Every time you underestimate a Yukon player comes at your own peril. You know, when you talk about women's sports, it's like Prego spaghetti sauce. It's in there. You know it commercial?
Starting point is 00:26:27 Like, it's in there. You name it. It's in there. Want to know what's really going on in the WNBA? We got you. Listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. But a lot of the times, because we was talking about this earlier, we make this mistake of,
Starting point is 00:26:50 you know, feeling like relationships are something more than what they really are. I agree. And I think even on the Chike album, he's like, just because you're cool, that's not your man or something like that. Like, however he flipped that, right? So while you're right, Kendrick, you know. you know, gave Chike one of his biggest looks of his life his career, right? What I'm saying is, in that same breath now, how do we get the Chike album?
Starting point is 00:27:23 It's believed that there was a Kendrick verse on this album. Album drops. There's no Kendrick verse. So is this a world where it's like, yeah, that's your man, but is it really your man? that he just was it a moment that he felt like he could use some of your energy the aesthetic of having you know up and coming cats from now i get what you said behind him next to him like was it just for that moment was that you did he give you that look for that moment and then moving forward it's like all right it's it's go out here sink or swim yeah it's tough for me because i feel like dot has always ran his own race so it's like i don't personally understand it um like but it does look away
Starting point is 00:28:04 I could see somebody feeling like it looks away. Like me being non-bide. Like the thing with the internet that I always see when it comes to this beef shit is like, I think anybody all the way on one side is dick riding and anybody all the way on the other side is dick riding. So I say that to say, anybody that says it doesn't look a little weird,
Starting point is 00:28:20 is dick riding. And anybody that says it looks just completely out the way. It just like dot is foul as fuck, yada yada, yada, is dick riding. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Like dot runs his own race. I definitely expected a dot version. Because I don't have to do anything.
Starting point is 00:28:34 That's what I'm saying. So anybody that's like, I'm kind of on that side, though. Well, that he don't have to do nothing? No. No, he doesn't. I'm in the middle. I'm in the middle. But it was there, though.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Yeah, I'm in the middle of. See, that's the difference. I would have looked him on this. I would make that very clear. That's why this conversation is different. Yeah. We're only speaking like this because from what we know and understand, it was there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:55 The verse was there. And, Mall, this only comes from my taste when I say, no disrespect to like lefty gunplay or any of those guys, I fuck with them. But I'm not, I'm not rushing to hear Kendrick. on those. Chike is the one. Pekaboo was one of my favorite joints on there. I want to hear these two together.
Starting point is 00:29:10 That's what I was in. Yeah, to me, I'm in the middle. I feel like, dot don't got to do nothing. For sure. And he's already given, he's already given Shike the biggest look that he, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:19 the second biggest look he could possibly give him because the biggest look he probably could have gave him is the verse in the video for this album. I think. That probably would have done even more for him than, you get what I'm saying. Like, so the second biggest look. So, but I'm in the middle where it's like,
Starting point is 00:29:32 dot don't have to do nothing. You don't have to do it. that he don't want to do, but I'm also not going to sit here and for the sake of, like, the internet, not say, I didn't expect a dot verse. I think it's on the album. Yeah. Yeah, I do too. I do too. We talked about that.
Starting point is 00:29:48 We talked about that. I think it's that. If you listen to negative, which is an incredible record, when we came on here, that was one of the ones I love the most. Yeah. That second verse sounds like Craig is just rapping a Kendrick verse. Yeah. It sounds like at least the cadence in the pocket is there. The hook sounds like a kid, like just try to hear Kendrick's voice on that.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Do we have the credits for that? Is Kendrick credit as a write on that record? But there's been plenty of times where not just Kendrick, there's been plenty of people that, Drake, too, that's written for people and he's not in the credits. Very true. True. That happens often. Very true. As much as we always say check the credits, the credits don't always tell the full story either.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Yeah. But I think, I mean. Because to me, that's the verse. But then again. This might be, yeah. I'll be my music industry knowledge being too high, but it's like, that's a song that's produced by Soundway. Yep. And it has kind of like a dot flow on it.
Starting point is 00:30:38 And there was already rumors on the internet that he was on negative. I could definitely see that being the case that that was the dot person. But like I said, Dot runs his own race. So it's like he's always done shit that like nobody really understands why he does it. And that's why I'm on the side of like I stopped trying to figure out why he does anything that he does. You know what I'm saying? Because he kind of just runs his own race. But I will say as a Chike fan, if Dot's on this record,
Starting point is 00:31:03 I think is gold. So that's my thing. And this is all hypothetical. I think that's a goal record. I think it's that good. I think it's that good of a song that if Dot is on there and they do a video, I think it's a goal record. And that's not to say,
Starting point is 00:31:15 Dot had to do that. You get what I'm saying? This is me literally speaking about it. And there's a world where, you know, again, I don't know Kendrick personally. A drop a remix or something like that. That could happen. Maybe that.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Or, you know, Kendrick is like, I want this dude to have his moment. Well, that's what I said when it came up. I want to step out of his way. I don't want him to have. big record just because I'm on it. I get that part of it. I will say this.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Actually, I'm glad you brought that up. I will say this. When I was signed the TD, they used to talk about that a lot. So it's a chance that Doc could also talk about. They used to talk about, like, your rollout being all about somebody else sometimes and how that can not be, like, the best look.
Starting point is 00:31:52 There was even a rumor where, like, where like Drake and baby Keem had a song together. And they end up, like, scratching it or something like that because they didn't want Keem's whole shit. to be about Drake. So there's a world where that could also be the case, too, where Dott is like, yo, the internet keeps talking about me when it comes to your rollout. They keep talking about me.
Starting point is 00:32:12 They keep talking about me. They keep to, like, I want you to have your moment. You already got the two Tyler joints. Yeah, I get that. You know what I mean? It's going to go strong. There's a world where that's the case, too. That was my theory when we first came on the pod to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I was like, well, maybe Kendrick wanted to get out the way because he already knows the mess that's going to be. Yeah. T. T.rell already said this shit, I guess it's getting weird now. But for me, if I'm an artist, I'm like, let's go. I'm going to talk about none of that. If I'm chike.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I need the, I need the record. This all these reasons on my album. Let's go with our theory. We don't know this is true and this is unfair to Kendrick because we don't know if this is true. But that sounds like a Kendrick verse on the second verse. I think negative, if Kendrick is on there, he's not dissing anyone. It's not going to become a beef thing. Yeah, I think it's just a record.
Starting point is 00:32:53 I think that takes negative. It's gold. You have Kendrick primary artist on that. that that record is out of here as compared to now it's a B-side. Like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:04 That's just a cool record in the album show. I think that shit is gone. I've been, like, that's my favorite. So far. That's my favorite record
Starting point is 00:33:10 on the project is negative. And I'm like, if that did happen, like I think that shit is gold or platinum. Like, without a doubt, gold or platinum changes the trajectory of everything. So that's,
Starting point is 00:33:21 that's my take on it. If that was a Kendrick verse and then he just redid it when Kendrick was like, I would have been like, well, can Keem wrap it? Oh,
Starting point is 00:33:28 I'm not even joking. Like, if you put Keem on negative, that's out of here too. He smoked that. Keem would a smoke negative. Yeah, he'll smoke. And that would make sense. I ain't going to say Chike is mad, but when Kendrick took that verse off, he definitely went home and got on his cube with good and then boys and those shit.
Starting point is 00:33:46 And start punching the air. I'm like, what? Sick of these shit. Sick of these motherfuck. He got, you got to be mad because you know, like, to what y'all are saying. He heard that record. And whatever Kendrick did on that record, if that is the record, right? Yeah, all of this is like us.
Starting point is 00:34:03 If that is the record. If it's the record. He heard that and was like, Chike's started making plans. That nigga had, he started looking at properties. That nigga started looking out in Orange County. You got like, like a seven leg parlay and it's at six? Yeah. And you started being like, oh, I'm not to get like that.
Starting point is 00:34:21 He had six. Like, it's 20K like it's coming. I got a six leg palet. All I need is AD for 12 rebounds. He got nine at the half. And then sprained his ankle in the third. I'm sick. Everybody.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I'm fighting everybody. Yeah. Nicky, we're making plans. We're about to go to Kabul next week. We're making crazy plans. And he sprained his ankle. Sprained his ankle in the third quarter, you bitch ass. Sprain ankle, you can't go get three rebounds on a sprain?
Starting point is 00:34:51 Nah, bro. I'm just saying, Chike was making plans with that. I know he was. I mean. And we're joking, but go listen to negative with Kendrick in your brain. That record is out of here. Yeah, that shit. That shit is hard, bro.
Starting point is 00:35:03 And it's like, like, yeah, it's like, but I do want to be clear because the internet go hard on me. I am not saying dot had to do that. I keep one of the, what I keep saying. Because you know how to get it. It's not going to matter. It's not going to matter. It's not going to matter. This is not going to never see the like that.
Starting point is 00:35:17 No, no, no, no. Anything nice or positively saying, never seen. It never seen a like. But, yes, that record is, I'm more speaking about it from the, from a fan of like, the record. Like, that. record is certain records were like certain people take the shit out of here. Like we was talking about the
Starting point is 00:35:32 Ferrell joint before this and I was like if that's on this one I don't think it like it does well because it's dot but I don't think it carries the same way but negative. Negative is a joke. It's gone bro. I genuinely feel like if that dot is gone. I like the lamp truck keys. I like that record. That's just fire. I don't love the hook like that
Starting point is 00:35:48 but the energy. When you said when you said the lazy hook thing I knew what record you would talk because that's the only that's the only that record where I remember yeah. But I like I love song. He should have like stacked it a little bit and stuff like that. The other Tyler record I like Sticky, I like Sticky, I hate that. That's that the world is ours. Good record.
Starting point is 00:36:07 It is hate the hook. The hook feels very lazy. I got to go back and listen to it. It's the same repetitive. The world is sticky yiki, yiki, yiki. It's like, come on, don't say that seven times. Like we nobody wants to repeat that. You came in here today saying sticky. That's why you were saying it. Because I'm listening to it. Now it works. But it's not because I like it. I'm laughing at it. But that's how I felt about Laffy Taffy and look what that became.
Starting point is 00:36:27 That's a fact. Yeah, but this song is really good. Yeah, that's the world is our song. You don't really have no, like, track, bro. Hats off to trike, bro. Like, I think it's like one song on here I don't like. Like I said, my only knock on the project
Starting point is 00:36:39 is that I just wanted more ghetto shit. That was literally my only knock. But we understand that he was trying to build his reach. But I understand that. He didn't want to make it to L.A. Yeah, because then you box yourself in. Into just L.A. Niggas don't be fuck with us.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Because they would have, I mean, they would have killed it. If he did G&X part two, everyone would go to them. And I don't care. But you can do it, but you can, maybe it's because y'all aren't from the West. You can do a West Coast album without it being G&X. No, I know that. You get what I'm saying? I'm like, without it even remotely sounding like that.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Like, God's favorite to me don't sound nothing like anything that's on G&X. I like God's favorite. God's favorite is fire. I think I like God's favorite. It stands out so much because the whole album doesn't sound like that. I wanted that. Like, I wanted like five of them. I wanted like five of them.
Starting point is 00:37:21 I want it like Rucci on this motherfucker. I want an AZ Swale here. I want it. Like, I just wanted the ghetto shit. Like, to me, I'd be like, when you get to the apex of where you at and not saying the Chikas, because Chikin can definitely go higher than this, like we said, we did this star. When you get to where, like, the apex where you at, I'd just be wanting niggas to, like, take a part of the, like, the ghetto shit with them. You get what I'm saying? Like, I've only seen that, and this is me outside looking in someone not from the West Coast.
Starting point is 00:37:47 The only time I've seen that work for real outside of L.A. is my crazy life. True. That album's ghetto as fuck but it's universal to everybody. Very true. Yo, what's that song
Starting point is 00:37:58 Chike did with Hit Boy? Packed up. I like that record. That record's fire. Packed up as fire. See, when I heard that, so I think that's what it is too. When I heard that record.
Starting point is 00:38:08 That's such a expectations. I kind of was like, you know what I mean? Like I was like. You like the look like my mama record with Tyler? I love that record. That record is hard.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Look like my mom. That was one in the video. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like that record. I like that record. That's true. I like that record. I think they was both
Starting point is 00:38:23 they was both rapping on that record. They for sure was. They both got some balls off where I was like Tyler was slide. Was Tyler the one that says Stop Sanfrey to homie if you know he did it? And he was the one of saying, I'm about to get that tagging.
Starting point is 00:38:36 I'm about to get that. I was going to set the, uh, everybody that's, uh, something named man too. Tyler said that too. Tyler was talking. That's what I'm saying. That record, I like that record.
Starting point is 00:38:47 When Tyler unlocked after you did the Hay Now remix, even though it's not the official remix. Yeah, yeah. Like I kind of wish. the official remix at this point. I kind of wish he was on the original, like, that would have been crazy. But once Tyler unlock that flow, he hasn't left that flow and I'm fine with it. Tyler, that, nigga, man. Tyler gets his best shit off in that pocket.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Tyler, that nigga, man. I think that's what it was. I think I heard that Chike hit boy. Who else was on that record? It's just something to hit boy. Yeah. I think when I heard that, I think my expectations for what I was going to hear on this album kind of went to a different level. And then I heard that. Like I said, the album, I don't think it's a bad project at all.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Yeah. I think it's really good music on here. No, that bar, go back up. I'm just a snob when it comes to music and rap. So I'm going to nitpick at certain shit that's probably another thing. And also, like, Chike isn't your, like, rappers, rappers. So, like, it's certain shit that, like, Chike's just never going to, like, get off. And I understand.
Starting point is 00:39:37 That's what I'm saying. My expectations for him. I get what you saying. Maybe I set the bar too high for what I expected. Yeah, because to me with him and I don't think he's a bad rapper by any means. I just don't look at him for, for how, like, reason. Tyler was talking. I look at him, like,
Starting point is 00:39:51 for delivery. No. Well, he said, I only rap. I left my guard there. I'm trying to try to say, I only rap about my cars now. I'm the only one that left the block
Starting point is 00:39:58 and turn the car around. That's the hardest part ever. And it's true. And it's true. And that's a way deeper bar. Bro, like, it's like, if you know the history of, he really spun the block and went
Starting point is 00:40:09 and picked all his niggas up. Like, he has modern Moutang. Bro. That nigga Tyler was talking. Our future is modern Moutang. He was talking. No, I was, that's one of the records when I heard it.
Starting point is 00:40:19 I was kind of surprised that the rapping that they was doing. I was like, okay. They went in here and really was trying to say some shit on this record. Yeah. Yeah. But shout out to Chike. Fire. Shout out to Chike, man.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Listen, man, I don't care what his, what numbers did first week. I don't really care about that. But that shit in 2012. He did well. Yeah, but no, but again. 9K is good. For anybody that's not Chite, though. Like, it was a lot of expectations.
Starting point is 00:40:43 I think for anybody that is, Dochey did, what, 12, 13? 13. 13? That was bad for Dochi. No, no, it's their first. You own, your first. week numbers only go by having a big single. Unless you're an established artist.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Yeah, but there was so many eyes and ears on Dochi. But she also didn't have a big, but they both didn't have a huge big single. Your first week numbers are predicated off for two things. If you're an established artist that you're just going to drop, like if Drake drop out of nowhere, he's going to do a certain amount, period. But if he drops with a rollout with a big single, he's going to do 600, 700. If Chike is a newer artist that doesn't have like a. out of here single yet.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And then he's dropping a full body of work. He's still a new artist. 9K is good, especially in today. The streaming numbers are down. Everybody's numbers are down more than they've ever been. Like, 9K is a very, very good start. Now, what I will say is that you got to have a good post rollout. And to me, you judge.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Yeah, because I saw that tweet. That was by the post rollout. Yeah. I saw that tweet. You judge it by the post rollout. Yeah. I'm being dead ass. I wasn't even like, I wasn't cave.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Like, I'm not saying you was cable, but I just wanted to laugh with you in that moment. Like I was going to call you like, your bro, what we doing on X-ray? I'm being dead ass. What are we doing? You got to have a good post. If we look up in three months, Chike is at 100K sales. Is that a fail? No. So that's how I let's use Dochy as an example. Her moments came after the project. And she ended up going gold. She might be platinum now.
Starting point is 00:42:12 So it's like, it's post rollout. It's like you're an established artist. It's a lot on you. You drop a great body of work. And then you work the great body of work. And if you work the great body of work with dope videos, like right now, Now, if I'm Chisul, I'm prepping for the tour. I'm making sure my tour is phenomenal. That way people are getting content of that. I'm making sure that all of my videos coming off post is phenomenal. If I could catch a remix with a nigga, I'm going to catch a remix.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I'm going to do all of those things. And then I'm going to look up in three or four months and I'm going to see where we're at there. Now, if you look up in three or four months and he at 21, now we can have the conversation about Warner dropping the ball. Because I still don't think that's on trike. I would say it's on Warner. But I don't think I'm being like, I'm not even, this ain't a cape thing. I'm not, I don't think 9K is bad at all. And Keem did great numbers,
Starting point is 00:42:56 but what I thought solidified Keem even more was how they focused on putting out moments on socials of his tour. Yeah, that's what I said. You got to get your tour. That was amazing what Keem did. And he did great numbers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:09 But when they, when he was showing everyone who bought hard tickets and they obviously, as they should, put money into showing those moments. And then the people that don't go to the show, it's going to make them go back and listen to it. Yeah. Or go, want to go to the show.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Exactly. they don't want to go to the show. The people that did go, they're going to, you know what I'm saying? Like, go back and listen to it. I definitely feel like a lot of this music that's on this project, once he gets visuals for it, it is going to make a difference. Yeah, I think that's going to make a difference. And I think if Chike elevates his tour, the way that he's elevated his music,
Starting point is 00:43:39 because I've been to a Chike show. No offense, Chike, I love you. You need to be rapping over your vocals and shit like that. You got to elevate that. Just this niggis. Like, no, I'm never, I'm never. Chike's my nigger. Breason says fuck the way of his coach.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Yeah, he says, fuck chisel. I'm saying that to say, if he elevates his show, which I think he will, because he already elevated the music. So if he elevates the show the way I think he will, don't come out there with a bunch of niggas on stage. Don't come out there rapping over your own vocals. Elevate your showmanship. And the shows, in the content behind the shows are fire, I think it's going to continue to elevate. He's going to be in LA. Tyler going to step on stage.
Starting point is 00:44:13 For sure. That's going to be a moment. Tyler going to go crazy. I definitely, to what you're saying, I definitely feel like visuals for Lamb Truck. For sure. For one of the joints with Tyler. Mm-hmm. I feel like...
Starting point is 00:44:23 Joint with Jameson. I feel like those three... I feel like if he do the joint with Tyler, the mama, what's the one? Which one was that? Well, he already did a visual for that one. But... What's the other one?
Starting point is 00:44:30 The world of dollars? Yeah. Yeah. If he do a visual... I don't think Tyler's getting him two visuals. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. That's a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:36 He gave him two verses. Yeah. Two songs. But if he do negative, Lambtruck... Like, he did Lambtruck. Like, he did Lambtrux with Farrell on the video, crazy.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Crazy. which I'm sure they shot content and stuff like that. If he do negative, if he does the joint with Jamison. If you do the lamp truck, keys with Farrell. You get them to say,
Starting point is 00:44:53 all of these are moments. In the Louis store. You feel me? Like, it's like, that's how you do the post-rollout is you just keep creating. And I don't think
Starting point is 00:45:01 Warner's not going to let him drop the ball. Bro, they don't. They didn't already spend so much money, bro. They're going to do whatever they got to do. And so I just think it's all about post rollout. I think nine is pause. I'm about say nine is perfect.
Starting point is 00:45:12 That's crazy. Yeah, that would have been, no, we would have clip that. But I think 9K first week is perfect from where Chike is at. I just think it's all post-rollout. And I think that, you know, Warner and Tim and all them got to just get to work on post-rollout. Yeah. Well, I did say, you know, we go back to a few days ago when we first spoke on that.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I did say I think Chike is a star. And I believe that. For sure. For sure. I believe Chik is a star. I believe that this is the beginning of his ascension, you know, away from the G&X moment. Yeah. I feel like this is the beginning of his ascension there.
Starting point is 00:45:43 we sat and talked with him BET Weekend was that two years ago I loved his energy I thought that He's a good nigga bro Yeah he was Everything like I said
Starting point is 00:45:55 I have nothing negative Like I'm rooting for Chike I really want to see him Whatever he wants to do And plans to do I hope that he You know Hits the mark on all of that
Starting point is 00:46:03 And again my pushback on the album Was really solely based In just my expectations I get that I get that I put a lot on it Because I do think he's a star
Starting point is 00:46:12 And I think that his his career that he's about to have is going to be incredible. And pause, I know for us on the couch this doesn't matter much, but to your point of a start, I saw a lot of women saying, finally, a new rapper that looks attractive and not some fat fucking doping. Like, all the new
Starting point is 00:46:27 rappers is just fat can't even pick their neck up. That's you, W.D. I saw all the girls saying, like, yo, finally a new rapper is attractive. I literally was just telling them, like, bring back sexy rappers. I'm so tired of these niggas with these big ass lean stomachs, ugly as fuck,
Starting point is 00:46:44 these big fake ass teeth, hair knotted up, like knotted up. It's like this grungy, nasty looking bring back the LLs. I will fuck Chike. Like bring back to the niggas. That make you want to listen to somebody's music. No, I think it's a point. I saw the women
Starting point is 00:47:00 on the timeline saying how attractive he was. I was like, that's missing in hip hop right now soon. There's not really the sex symbol rapper anymore. That's fair. That shit is going. That shit is going. I'll listen. I'll be in there. fucking cripp walking listening to that shit. The rest of them, niggas, no.
Starting point is 00:47:15 We don't just be cripp walking for no reason, man. Getting hypey, whatever the fuck you niggins be doing. I don't care what that nigga would do. I would watch you do it. I ain't a lot. That nigga chike's sick for having a David ruffing glasses, though. The temptation day. They work for him.
Starting point is 00:47:28 No, no, but that's what I'm saying. Like, that look, like bringing that back. That shit is crazy. Yeah, you don't know. He had a more than he was. Yeah. Shout out Chisle, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I'm happy for the home. I'm moving. Yeah. I like him, man. And I'm probably say I was the first TD nigga to work with Chike. It just didn't come out. Clip it. Just didn't come out.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Yeah, but that's why, yeah. Yeah, it just didn't come out. Chike, no, I was the first TD nigga to work with Chike. So let's be messy. What artists out of loyalty that you would love to get a feature from, but you can't, out of loyalty? Out of loyalty? I don't got no loyalty no more. That's a shit.
Starting point is 00:48:02 I don't know. Noggin' no more. I'm like, shit, who? Like, Drake's in the hook. It's on the album. them. Fucking right is on the album. Damn right.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Why wouldn't it be? Yeah. But all right. Let's say, let's say, let's do all hypothetical there. Just for Demaris's question. If you stayed on TDE, obviously Kendrick Leaves does PG-Lang, beef happens. Yep. Is Top saying no to you having a Drake hook?
Starting point is 00:48:31 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's out. Okay. That's out. Yeah. He said no to less for less. That's out. That shit is crazy.
Starting point is 00:48:40 That shit's gone. Because like if Drake's in the remix right now for lamb truck keys. Yeah, that's not. Chike's supposed to be like, nah. Yeah. Y'all niggas crazy than the motherfucker. Nah, bro. That's corny.
Starting point is 00:48:51 That's corny. Y'all n'all crazy as fuck. Y'all got Chike twisted. Nah. Call Chike. Let me ask Chike. I feel like me and Chike on a line or something. I'm just saying it's like, yo, Chike, you ain't taking that version?
Starting point is 00:49:05 I'm admitting that there's a human aspect to where Chike is probably like, fuck. Like, you know what I'm saying? We know that. But that's cool. You can't, bro. Sometimes, sometimes you got to be cool. It's niggas that call me dislo- after the podcast shit, which now I have every right to be, to do whatever I want.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Niggas will still call me disloyal. And I don't even got a verse. No matter. Wow, they were disloyal on other podcasts. You know what I'm saying? This is why you make it. This is why you making my point. No, I'm saying no.
Starting point is 00:49:32 No matter what you say. Nah, man. No matter how you carry it. That's cool. Somebody somewhere is going to say, I agree with that. reason is disloyal So why not let it happen
Starting point is 00:49:45 When I got a drink feature on my album I'm out here selling out every show I bought my mom's a house in Orange County Like I'm doing all this shit I'm gonna be comedy anyway I'm gonna tell you why Because you look you look like the bitch That was fucking with the with the rich nigga
Starting point is 00:50:01 And then left the rich nigga And then his op Buyer Chanel bags and all that And so she started fucking him It's like you just That's a pont. The nigger don't give a fuck. Everybody knows you just.
Starting point is 00:50:14 He usually hurts you. Yeah, everybody knows you just getting fucked. You're just bending over and getting fucked. That's all you doing for the moment. Yeah, but in this life, I was told you either useful or useless. But to me, I don't even think. And I'd rather be useful with all these niggas hating in front of 7-Eleven. And I'm out here on Drake anyway.
Starting point is 00:50:33 He's still on TDE and Drake gives him a hook. Kendrick can easily say you still going to my youngest to get the sauce. Like that's 48 laws. I feel like Drake would look crazier doing that. I don't think so. I think that I, the reason why I say I don't think so is because it could easily be flipped as drill. Like let's say Drake gave Chike a hook or a verse.
Starting point is 00:50:51 And that song is out of here. Let's say it's double platinum. Now you give Drake the one up to be like, I had to do what you couldn't. Exactly. Exactly. You want me to get what I'm saying? And that's also, that's also something that was in the beef that was you don't go back to your hood playing on money trees.
Starting point is 00:51:06 It's been, it's been said. That was what Drake was alluding to that. That seed is. I put a whole bunch of things out and you don't. So that would be feeding into that area. I'm about to end everything y'all saying. Let's say for whatever reason, two years from now, we, Chike and Kendrick don't have no relationship.
Starting point is 00:51:22 They don't speak, nothing. Chike is to never do a song with Drake and rest of the way. No, I do think that there's a, I think that there is like a time span thing. Like, let's say in, I don't think it's two years. I say, let's say it's in like four years and they don't have a relationship at all. I think if Drake's in the verse or send the hook, you do it at that point. But I think in the end, like this is,
Starting point is 00:51:42 me that makes no sense. Nah, it does, bro. This is rolling right. Like, dot has been, that has been substantially prevalent in people figuring out about you. He's been substantially prevalent in you getting the biggest look of your life.
Starting point is 00:51:57 No, for sure. He wrapped your verse on the Super Bowl. He ain't wrapped nobody else's verse. He wrapped your verse on the Super Bowl. He's taking pictures what you're doing your rollout. He's giving your rollout all of this life. And then you can, going to roll off of that and get a
Starting point is 00:52:11 that's nasty that's nasty let me ask you this like I'm getting like weird chill saying it out loud that's nasty bro now let me ask you this did the whole start
Starting point is 00:52:24 and I hate to keep talking about this dumb ass Drake Kendrick shit but that whole shit started with a record that was on Futures album right? Yes Kendrick Verk. Yeah yeah Future in Molly Santana are the only features
Starting point is 00:52:37 I think 21 too on Iceman. I think Drake was crazy for that. I think Drake was crazy for having future on that album. Why? Because it was weird. I think less about like that, more about that Metro Boomin future album
Starting point is 00:52:53 that had so many distance. Future, let this nigga record a verse going directly at you. Reason, let's be very clear. I agree with you. Yeah, that's nasty. I don't change my energy on none of this shit. I couldn't believe Drake gave him. That was crazy.
Starting point is 00:53:09 But you know what? Obviously they have a relationship. Obviously they spoke. 1,000%. Obviously things was patched up, passed away. And they was like, fuck it, man. Let's get back to what we was doing. But that's one thing that Drake is good at, though.
Starting point is 00:53:21 Like, Drake is good at like understanding that like being a bigger man in the situation and having conversations and then returning back. You get him saying from me. He did it with meek. I think that honestly, I think it's a good guy by nature. No, he is. He did it with me because it was a landslide. No, for sure.
Starting point is 00:53:38 But even still, though, Drake has patched things up. No, but he really fuck with me, though. Yeah. I'm not saying he doesn't. But I'm saying if it's a landslide the other way, Drake is not immediately having meat come on stage with him. I agree. But all I'm saying is that I can see a world where Drake patches things up with a lot of people
Starting point is 00:53:53 because that's just kind of like, you can tell he's a good nigga by nature. Like, yeah, like, yeah, like, Dodd is a maniac. He kind of like a, you know what I mean? Like, kind of like not all the way there, kind of asshole. Like, not saying like in real life, but like he kind of offers rocker a little bit. That is where they're different in personality. which I also think is why the battle went the way to do it went. But I'm still going to keep the same energy that I keep with everything.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Certain shit just look nasty. But I do. I can tell. You could tell when the whole shit was happening that the future shit really hurt Drake. And that all the other shit was like, okay, you niggas is crazy. I'll go out all you niggas. But like, future was the one that it was like. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:29 So it's like it looked nasty to me for him to be right on Iceman. Like I think if he was on whatever the next album is, I don't think it would have looked as crazy. But for him to roll right off of that and go straight to Iceman and Future has the single, man, I would have stuck that nigga on the seaside. He would have been on Hibibi.
Starting point is 00:54:49 If he's going to be on something, he would have been on Habebe. I don't think the run to Atlanta shit was single, but I hear you. That's the biggest record on the project. Janice is by far. Well, now, but I'm saying, when it first happened,
Starting point is 00:55:00 that was just because everyone was trying to hear future. Yeah, so I'm saying, that's the one that broke the number one. You get what I'm saying? So, like, the one that broke the number one record, the Michael Jackson's, I just think there's more forgiveness with the like that because we didn't know where that was gonna go
Starting point is 00:55:12 or what that was. Like, who even knows how much future was hurt. Future might have heard that shit when we all heard it. Like we don't know that entire thing. Yeah. No, future didn't it.
Starting point is 00:55:22 It's not like he went full like Rick Ross and like started fucking doing corny videos. And like at that point there's no forgiveness. I'm not like, nah, I think that that one I don't, I think that I don't know. Drake got, like I said, it's one of things where I'm like,
Starting point is 00:55:39 he a bigger man than me. What is this K1 shit, baby, D? K1. Not the K1, I like K1. K1 is currently being, she's catching a lot of backlash because she had an interview and she went on there
Starting point is 00:55:54 and talked about a previous interview she had did where they asked her who her celebrity crush was and she said Kiki Palmer. On this most recent interview, she said that that was a, she was like, yeah, no, that's not like, it was like a joke. my team told me to say that like my real celebrity crush
Starting point is 00:56:10 is Alexa Demi so she's currently catching a lot of backlash because it's like oh you're pandering to your light skin your crush's light skin your ex-girlfriend's light skin
Starting point is 00:56:21 but you're pandering to darker skin black women you know that darker skin American black women push the culture you need their support if you need their support if you're going to be successful so you pander to them
Starting point is 00:56:35 And she's catching a lot of backlash for that. And I wanted to know you guys' thoughts. Anytime I see the words, dark-skinned black women, all together, I get scared. And I don't want to. Well, let me start by saying I think Kiki Palmer is beautiful. Extremely. Here we go. Huge.
Starting point is 00:56:54 But. I do think it's progress that somebody from the LGBTQ community can also get canceled, too. we're making progress. Let's cancel the guys as well. I didn't know where you was going with that one. But you sure brought that one home, Larry. I didn't know where you were going. I didn't expect that curveball.
Starting point is 00:57:16 But, yes, you brought that one home. This is progress. Seeing a lesbian be careful. Yes, finally, a lesbian can get canceled too. The world is healing. We're finding an equal place. That was this is why we've been looking. I was Dave Chappelle.
Starting point is 00:57:29 You got your own flags. You have your own letters. Now you get canceled with anybody else. You have to walk on egg shep. as well. You have to watch what you're saying, even when you're gay. You have to watch what you say even with your gay. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Welcome home. Now you know how it feels to be an equal in the world. We all live under the same rules, the same government. The same bag shells. We will all have our joint feet held to the gay fire. K1, your ass is out of it. I never want to hear a song for her. Yeah, we love you.
Starting point is 00:58:11 Great album. Your ass is out of there, K1. Come and sit down next to us. We've all been canceled. You want to dress like a man. God damn it. You'll be persecuted and prosecuted as a man. Come sit right here, K1.
Starting point is 00:58:27 God damn it. Some next to some baggy pants. Yeah. You want to wear. I got hats too, K1. Come sit right here. Yeah, we got a hat. A fitted hat versus me and K-1.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Yeah, nah, but I mean, we'll put your logo upside down. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got tears about it. But K-Wan, listen, man. I love K-Wan. What? One of the best projects I've heard of it. The album is incredible.
Starting point is 00:58:51 But, you know, listen, man, now they feel like you, you know, you light-skinned, you know, light-skinned brigade, you don't really do the dog butts. There you go. She stopped. What? She did come out and apologize. She said, yo, I feel like I need to come out here and address the situation. I bet you do.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Duke came on. This is called the podium. Did she wear? What she wore? I got to know what she was wearing. You know they loved to put on a on a Clinton suit. Did she have the Cardiade? They put them the suits with the, with the Cardiade.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Yeah. You know they put on the mock and the turtleneck. It was no fit it had at that podium. It's like in a black china suing. That's the suit. And look, they always put on. She had on a regular outfit. She just came and made a regular like IG story type video.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Like, yo, I need to address this right now. What was she wearing? pull up the video, Ryan. Did she have a gown on? Did she have a gown on? A gown is crazy. She had a gown on. If she got canceled and went straight, that'd be crazy.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Yeah. No, she kept the G. She kept the G. Oh, she went to the corner like she on an... No, but it's a turtleneck though. You do notice the turn. Okay, but she's in a corner like she on an episode of colors. Like, she's shooting the colors of.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Yo, please. YouTube, okay. I don't, so my thing... Why are you that close to the corner? My thing with K-1 is she hide... It's a bunch of light-skinned women in the room. It's a lot of. It's a lot of.
Starting point is 01:00:05 It's scary. I still love y'all. Scary. Let me handle this real quick. I'm going to get back to my life's kid. I think that I think that I don't think that she needs to be canceled. I don't even think she was aware when she was talking because she said it so blah, blah, blah. I don't even think she was aware of what she was saying.
Starting point is 01:00:23 That's what cancel happening, baby. You don't know what you just said is about to get you cancel. I think her team. Her, like her team is the people who are the people who deserve the backlash. Like, because she literally said my team fed me that answer. Your team knows what they're doing. and they know who they're marketing towards. So that's why they gave you that answer.
Starting point is 01:00:39 And it's messed up because I was talking about it. First off, I think this whole thing is ridiculous. It's stupid as fuck. It's stupid as hell. But I saw people in the comments saying stuff like, you had all these dark skin women in your videos. Yo, you show up to video sets and it just be women there. Right.
Starting point is 01:00:56 Like, you don't always, I'm being serious. You don't. Now, I swear on every. Now, do you have. the ability to choose? I'm about to say, now, if K1, you have the ability to choose. When she gets in trouble at
Starting point is 01:01:10 is that they got a video of her going through a color palette. Yeah, is it? Palate? Oh, my God. And she's like, yo, she's doing the brown bag challenge with them like,
Starting point is 01:01:17 come stand next to this brown bag. And she's like, yo, get her out of it. Majority of the times that you have a big budget video, which I'm sure K1's videos are big budget. Majority of times if you have a big budget video, there is somebody that picks
Starting point is 01:01:29 the girls and you just show up unless you go that far because you do have the choice to be like, let me see where you can. Yeah, let me see who you're casting. But a lot of artists, you just show up and it just be women at the video. And then you do the scenes or you might be like, uh, I don't want to do the main scene with her. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:01:46 I'd rather do it with her. Like, so that does happen. But you're not as the artist sitting there scrolling through a, like, it's rush hour. You get what I'm saying, rush hour too where you got the women lined up and then you pick and you don't do that. So it's like a lot of times like going back to what D said, like your team does have a lot to do with that. And you just kind of going along with it because you're getting through the interview or getting through the video. and that shouldn't necessarily be the backlash. You know what's stupid about all of this?
Starting point is 01:02:08 Because I can attest to that, though. Let's just say, bro. Let's just say she just likes light skin women. What is wrong with that? I was going to get into that too. Why you just can't have a preference? I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:02:19 But now I get what you're saying. Saying a dark skin woman to seem like because you want to pander. Yes, that's where, because if you were just said, because that's my issue with her and her team where her team fucked her up. Well, actually she fucked herself up because you shouldn't repeat with your team. You should have never said that. Like you didn't have to tell what your team is saying.
Starting point is 01:02:34 Got to hold that down. Yeah, you have. hold that down. But you could have just said, yeah, celebrity crush was Alexa Demi. At the time, allegedly, you were dating Kalani. You know what I'm saying? So it's no secret that you like light skin women. I'm giving pushback there. I don't care if you prefer white women or darksy women. You also like Kalani. Right. That's not exactly true. That's not exactly true. Well, my whole thing, yes, I get what you're saying. But my whole thing is that at the end of the day, you clearly do like light-skinned women.
Starting point is 01:03:05 So even if your crush actually was Kiki, it ain't crazy to then for your crush to be... Alexa Demi. For people who don't know, that's Maddie from Euphoria. Okay. I actually didn't know who it was. Yes. Alexa Demi, please pull up a picture of Alexa Demi.
Starting point is 01:03:22 That's my celebrity crush. That bitch bad. But you could have just said that. Is she black? No. I only like black woman. She looked close enough, though. She can get a pass.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Yeah. That's Maddie. She's gorgeous. Maddie from Euphoria. Yeah. K-1, we support you over here at New Rory and all. But listen, man, they holding you to the fire. Stop telling on your team.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Stop telling on your team. Hold it down. Telling them, niggas, man. The team, all it down. That's the best escape. The best escape, even if her team didn't tell her to do that, say your team did it. Tell on your team, man. They don't got no face.
Starting point is 01:03:54 I'm on that. I'm not saying like that. She didn't be like, yo, at that year, when I answered that, that was my crush. She could have left it at that. She could have kept the, kept the, I have no reason to come. teen his job. Yeah, but there's no reason to come out to it. Why was you saying? At that time, yeah, I did,
Starting point is 01:04:06 I did have a crush on Kiki, but now my crush is that, that was why I was confused. I'm like, you could have had a crush on Kiki. Why not? And you could still have a crush on. That's and that, but that's where the killing is coming from because it's like, why, she was like, yeah, that was a joke. You only say that. Why are you saying that a crush on Kiki is a joke? Right. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:04:22 Right. That is. You know, you know how messed up my traumatized mind was behind that. The first thing I went to was like, Kalani caught her cheating with Kiki. Stop. Stop. Stop. What's wrong with you? That was a joke. Hey.
Starting point is 01:04:35 Hey. Hey, I ain't fucking with her. That was a joke. Yeah, like, hey, it might be some, he might be on to something. Hey, hey, is it a reach? He might be on to something. She got the cheating and fit it all. Yeah, it's like, yo, listen, like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:04:47 Like, I, nah, that wasn't. That was just, that was just totally. Because Kalani may have, may a call. And then she could. I was going to get right. Yeah. Okay. That's how I should get it.
Starting point is 01:04:55 Wait, so here's, no, because here's how, because I can't talk. You know what if, what if K. Y'all saying K1 only likes, like, she probably got a super-fied African if she was a date in the UK. She probably got the whole, she probably got a super-fine dark African-girl. My theory was that Kalani caught some shit,
Starting point is 01:05:14 but K-1 kind of got out of it. So then when they brought it up, she was like, man, I was joking about that. I wasn't hitting that. My sick-ass brain was like, if they nod on good terms, then it's, nah, I know you saw me DM in this one. one chick now my crush ain't Kiki my crush is
Starting point is 01:05:30 Alexa Demi because you saw me DM in her now I'm pissing you off but that is definitely not what happened but that's the way my that's the ass brain go say it We don't know! It can be a lot of these things We just don't want to reach it to the white boy. These people's real live so I don't want to put that out there
Starting point is 01:05:46 We're just. Kay Wong could have been like yo Kiki is sis I just like yeah right That's the homie. I was bro in them. Yeah I was joking and then now she got some backlash from the dark skin she's like oh I didn't mean it like that
Starting point is 01:05:57 when really she was just trying to get out of some shit with Kelani. Because they look like they'll fight. Yeah, for sure. Kaylani and K1? Come on. They thumping. K-O.
Starting point is 01:06:08 Sure. They shit moving in that condo about to be fucked up. It's going to be shit everywhere. That's outselling any Logan Paul fight. Yeah, yeah, 100%. Jake Paul, anyone. Kaylani in shape like a motherfucker. Hell no.
Starting point is 01:06:23 Jake Paul will be an undercard to that fight. Right. For sure. Kaylani is a friend of the show. We don't want to go. No, we love. I love Kaylon. I'm just saying if you and K1, you know, just want somebody to come and watch the game with, I'm free to come over and join the ladies. Just putting that out there.

Starting point is 01:11:06 Listen to the NFL Report podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Doing a get ready with me. Like, can we talk about get ready with me? Here we go. Yeah, I don't think that that's mental illness? No, no. You don't think getting out the bed to set a camera up and getting back in the bed to act like you're getting out the bed as mental illness? No, because when they do it for movies, do you think that that's mental illness?
Starting point is 01:11:32 When you're watching a movie and you know it's fake, you know that they said that all of this up. But Denzel's not recording himself. No, there's somebody else recording. Right. So there's a cut off that movie that he don't get. He don't get the director and the cameraman cut. But when these people do that and they're their own content creators, they get all of that money. And they make more.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Why are y'all making fun of people who are making millions of dollars? Are you comparing a Get Ready With Me influencer video to Malcolm X? Baby D. I think a Get Ready with me is cool. If you're making money off a brand deals and all that, great. I'm just saying to get out of bed, set up a camera, to get back in bed. to act like I'm getting out of bed. And then if I don't like that,
Starting point is 01:12:11 I got to get back in bed and do it over. Why do you think that that's, do you think it's mental illness for the people who do it because there are people who want to see it or do you think the people who watch that have mental illness? That's the real conversation.
Starting point is 01:12:22 I think it's all like a community. I don't think so. I think as a content creator, if you're giving people what they want to see because it's making you money, I don't think that that's mental illness. I think that you're using your brain
Starting point is 01:12:33 and giving people what they want. So what about people that crying to the camera? Misal illness. What's the difference? Because I feel like to like, well, I think it's different because I have videos of me crying that have never touched the internet. But it's because I was talking and eventually when I was talking, I eventually started crying. But people who are in the middle of crying and pick up the phone and hit record, I think that's a little bit different. But I've definitely been recording myself talking about something sensitive to me and started crying in the middle of it.
Starting point is 01:13:03 That's okay. You found a loophole and I like that. That's a little different. That's a little different. And I like that. You can be recording yourself talking about something, right? Whether it's something that happened to you during the day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Or just, you know, things that you're going through that you're feeling. And then emotions happen. I'm talking specifically to the people that cried during the video. Stop the video. Look at it. Like, no, I don't like that. Like, and then start crying again. And like, you know, like that.
Starting point is 01:13:33 What Damaris is saying, I don't consider. I don't consider those the same thing. That's just being a human and being emotion. in the moment. I'm talking about knowing you're, like, already crying, and start recording yourself crying. Like, if somebody made you upset
Starting point is 01:13:48 in, like, life, and then you're like, just grab your phone and start recording yourself crying and telling the story, I think that's like, oh, bro, come on, man. Like, I promise you, nobody cares enough. People care. About you crying?
Starting point is 01:14:05 Where? But the... Demaris, I guarantee you, if you was crying about something that happened to you right now outside, and you opened your phone to start recording yourself crying it would go viral that don't mean people care
Starting point is 01:14:14 and we got to get away from that just because something goes viral they don't truly care no doesn't mean people care enough to watch and that's a difference they care enough to watch yeah but there's a lot of things I watch that I don't care about
Starting point is 01:14:25 majority of the things I see on my phone I would say like 90% of the things I don't care about that shit you don't really care about it but you care enough to watch and if you are trying to get popularity or money, then somebody caring enough to watch is important.
Starting point is 01:14:41 Don't matter if they really care when they click lock on their screen. Yo, pitching your crying video to a brand on Zoom, look at the analytics. If it went viral? Let's it. Get it how you live. I'm not judging anyone. I'm not, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:54 If I'm getting to it, get to it. But it's just like, I look at that with a little side eye. Like, it's just very awkward to me. It is. To get ready with me or the day-to-day vlogs, I'm fine with them. Like, Rory picking up the sunscreen and doing this? Well, I was making fun of the people. I understand, but it's just like, this, you have to do that.
Starting point is 01:15:12 That's part of like the thing now. It's like the stem. Like, you have to do that. For people who like the sound of tapping, sometimes eating, sometimes smacking, sometimes just crunching a mic. Yeah. That all has to do with something mental is what I'm saying. But it doesn't mean that there's something mentally wrong.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Right. Let me not say that. I think it depends what they're doing. Like women that are doing get ready with me with beauty products and like makeup, I don't think that's mental illness because women. women like are interested in getting new beauty products and makeup and like that type of stuff makes sense. But I am with you that that first frame of every video when you fake it out of bed, not only you're faking it, you put your arms up to stretch and it's like this is the second
Starting point is 01:15:53 time you got out of bed. You've been awake since the two hours. Like can we just start the can we just start in the bathroom? But that's why I compare it to movies because it doesn't matter. For the person who's watching it, this is something you created this. You created this. You created this content and you're showing me something. Like you're putting out a production for me. It literally is the same thing as a movie. You don't sit up there and say, uh, y'all knew that camera was right there when y'all was fucking.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Like we like, it's a production. It's just y'all are old. Y'all are old. And it's okay. What does that mean? Y'all are old. So certain things that happen on the internet,
Starting point is 01:16:28 I agree because a lot of things that happen on the internet are weird to me too. And it's just because the internet that we grew up on and the life that we grew up in is completely different from what these kids are growing up in. These kids don't think that that's weird. They don't think that it's weird. to talk because they're aware that it's a production. That's because the kids are weird. Sometimes they might look at you and think that you weird.
Starting point is 01:16:44 I hope so. But just like your forefathers looked at you and thought that you were your forefathers. Your forefathers thought that you were weird. See, don't start talking to me about four, just because I turned 45. Don't put four in front of anything. Your forefathers. Like, don't do that.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Your mama and them didn't think y'all was weird? Weird, no. I don't think my mom thought we were, um, if I could remember one thing, I could remember like my mom and aunts and stuff. Like referring to my generation as is, it wasn't weird. It was, we were wild, I think was the word. We were wild. It was like, y'all kids these days, it was wild.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Like, y'all just. And I'm like, well, I've seen clips from the 70s and the, y'all was doing the same shit. Yeah. It's the same shit over and over. They just did it with more privacy. More privacy. Obviously, technology and things like that. Like we get to see this shit, but
Starting point is 01:17:39 I remember when my dad was saying that how tight the boy, like, you know, back in like 2013 or something, he was like, and I'm behind on it. I'm walking behind niggas trying to get up the subway steps and they got these tight ass pants on with their ass hanging out. That shit is gay. And I'm sending to like,
Starting point is 01:17:54 you niggas had on heels back in them days. Platform heels and blouses. But the niggas saying they pants is gay. Like, make it make sense. Yeah, if you pull up the album cover for, what was it, the, not the, not the Whispers. What's the name of the group with the Ozley brothers? You pull up one of their old album, they all got on belly tops, crap tops. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:22 I don't even get it started on glam rock. Yeah, like that's like a whole thing. Who could look like more like a chick was the thing. And yeah, my dad loved that metrosexual word and all his photos from the 70s and 80s are like, you're metrosexual. What are you talking about? Yeah. But I mean, when I was a kid, my dad just called me the W word with a hardy are.
Starting point is 01:18:43 That's, that's, that's, he called you a wigger? All the time. What? All the fucking time. Your dad called you a wigger? That's funny. He probably would, if I answer the phone, he probably said. That's funny as fuck.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Yeah. Your dad calling you a wigger is fucking, is fucking funny. Wait, y'all, y'all use that word? No, we didn't use the word. No, but like, in your culture, like, they, they, Like, that's like a word. My dad, my uncles and like his generation saw the white kids, their sons. And yeah, that is, I never, I thought that, I thought we used that word for them.
Starting point is 01:19:18 Like, I don't know they like adopted it. They used that shit with a hot because we say wigger. They said wigger. Like, he meant that shit like nigger, but you was white. Just letting you know. Well, I mean, that's kind of the definition. No, but he meant, like he had the vitriol. I just didn't know that they used that wigger.
Starting point is 01:19:31 And it's not hate behind it. He said wigger like I'm disappointed. My fucking child is out here acting like a black one. did it more to clown me like my dad really wasn't like that type of dad was like mad at that type of shit but i guess to answer your parents thought was odd or weird or something they had not seen before because that like took like most white kids were were like that at that time whereas that was not the thing before i did not know they used that word that's funny as fuck that is funny that's hilarious i did not know yi i thought we like that was our word for y'all like i did not know that y'all like
Starting point is 01:20:03 I did not know that y'all used that. I always thought it was honky. Yeah, Holmes. No, but we don't call like the ones like you honkies. It's definitely weird. Can y'all bring that word back, honky? I don't know why we got rid of. Such a good word.
Starting point is 01:20:17 The honkyton man was my favorite wrestler at one point. I just, and then I couldn't, I just had to call them a tank man after. I never heard my parents say honky. They was definitely, g-ass-c-c-crat. Cracker's hilarious.
Starting point is 01:20:29 Why you put the ER on it? It's not cracker. Cracker. Well, it's more offensive. when the other year. I just never, those words we never used, like,
Starting point is 01:20:37 do you never use? I've never called a white person to crack a day in my life. I've never done that. This is all ingest and in like, we're, we've not used these words. Let's press,
Starting point is 01:20:47 no, they don't try to get me out of here before for jokes. It's just, it's all in jest. It's a comedy podcast. They're trying to get us all out of here for jokes.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Comedy podcasts. It would be, my dad called me that and then the black people around me would call me white N-word. that's really all it was damn yeah never wigger it would it would be white and then the network right damn which was always a contradiction to me very confusing as a kid
Starting point is 01:21:14 left me with so many questions my dad told me he text you i said i forgot you even have roy's number we were we were texting over the weekend why are you bothering that man leave him alone he didn't bother me at all i was like dad stop texting my boss he even said tell him all i said you're i said you're I said, we'll do. What? And then I looked above and it was a Facebook link and I'm like, oh my God,
Starting point is 01:21:40 my dad probably be sending you the fucking Facebook links telling you that black people was the original fucking kings and queens. Like, I'm so sorry that you got to go back. I hang out with Jaila Trialichai. I know all that.
Starting point is 01:21:50 I'm going to say, I agree. He's sending Rory Anunaki links and shit. Like, please. I've been read all that. I'm so sorry. Yo, what? That's what you. your father's in his story.
Starting point is 01:22:02 Like, please, I'm so sorry. Dead sea and scrolls and shit. Oh, my God. That is funny as fuck, way. Wow. What were we talking about? Oh, yeah, influencers. I give credit to the, I watch
Starting point is 01:22:14 a lot of the cooking ones. If they edit those themselves, I give them a lot of credit. Those, like, quick cuts for 75 different parts of ingredients. Like, it's very hard. That's time. I'm more impressed than what you're cooking, but you could edit that that way.
Starting point is 01:22:29 If I don't do it. That and makeup. It's very difficult. And shout out to all the content creators. I don't want to seem like I'm... It's just a lot of that shit. I'm just like... It's a little just awkward to me.
Starting point is 01:22:41 You ain't the audience. But there's people that watch this podcast as much time and effort and money that we put into it and be looking at me like this is the worst shit ever. Take the mics away. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:49 I understand. I think we need a hard reset. I think every podcast needs to go black for about two months. I'm with that. Everybody just needs to shut the fuck up. Like it's too much It's like that
Starting point is 01:23:01 Everybody just chill Everybody's taking themselves A little too serious Everybody's trying to be the main character Yeah Just shut up Everybody relax It's okay
Starting point is 01:23:10 Just live life Just go outside live life Don't have to worry about Get on the camera Being performative And just be Everybody's performing Just everybody relax
Starting point is 01:23:19 Just relax Just relax This thing is supposed to be fun Is content creator A spectrum Like can we say Some people that have content or not content
Starting point is 01:23:29 creators. Like I think the women that do the makeup and do reviews, I think that's content creators for sure. But the women that just like do the vlogs of like, I go over here and people want to fuck me and then I go to the next event where they want to fuck me. What part of the
Starting point is 01:23:43 just, where's that at? I need to follow that. I've never saw. I've never seen it. It's just pretty chicks going outside. Then we went to this activation and I put my leg up at the step of repeat and then I went to the next one. Basically it's, I just go places where people want to fuck me.
Starting point is 01:23:58 Okay. Is that content creating? I mean, I guess so. That's so sick that you see pretty girls and be like, oh my God, yeah, people just want to fuck her. No, I think that's what they think. I think that. They don't say that, though.
Starting point is 01:24:11 They think it. But they don't say that content. We say it. They're putting it out there metaphorically. A content creator is a person who produces educational, entertaining, or promotional material for digital media channels and online audiences. So shout out to all the content creators out there. what you're doing. We appreciate most of y'all. Most. I'll say most. We appreciate most of y'all.
Starting point is 01:24:35 The nigga that'd be cooking the steak on the hot rock. No, that's my man. Love him. Yeah. Now, my man is the nigga that be, uh, I'm trying not to say that word no more. My man is the dude that be, uh, he's on a kayak in the middle of the ocean and he fishes and then he like cooks the fish right there in the kayak. Oh yeah. Wait, the Australian guy? I don't know where he's from. He is a superhero. You're on a kayak fishing, grab the fish. You can filet it, cook it. Like, he'd be making mahi mahi.
Starting point is 01:25:08 Like, it's grilled sand. Right there on his kayak. Yeah. Yeah, homie right here. This is the most incredible. This is content creating right here. Like, this is incredible. There's one guy that's like this in Australia.
Starting point is 01:25:22 And like, he'll just go up to like sea snakes and be like, come here, little fella. And like, I'm like, yo, what are you doing? He'll jump in the middle of the ocean in Australia, but he does the same thing. He'll do the gun sword fishing and like bring the shit up on his kayak and just, that's lunch today. Yeah, see, that's the type of, you know, because he's not like trying to do that over and over. That's he's catching that one time. Yeah. He's not catching the fishing.
Starting point is 01:25:47 I'm like, oh, he's throwing it back. Like, you'll swim back around, buddy. I'll catch you again. I just fucked up your mouth. Yeah, he's doing that right there. What you see is what you get. That you can't fake that. That's awesome content creation right there to me.
Starting point is 01:26:01 I've been in like a deli chokehold lately. I don't know if it's the Aki way or just delis getting into YouTube shorts. They're having sandwich battles to the point. How, pause, how could your mouth even fit around that sandwich? We're putting so much shit on sandwiches now. And I'm watching it because it looks delicious. But how could somebody possibly eat a sandwich that's just fucking tall? I don't know, but I know one thing.
Starting point is 01:26:24 If I keep seeing that garlic butter bagel pop up on my fucking feed, it one more time. You gonna go get it? I got to go get it. I got to have it. I got to have it. Oh, I know Leon's bagels must have just got some TikTokra over there. Really? It's been a madhouse there for the past like two weeks. Leon's bagels? Yeah, which is great. I used to go there, but now it's like 100 people out there every morning. Yeah, that's the only bad thing. Like, you're happy for the business, but like the little low spots that I'd be knowing about. Once a concert creator goes there and like it goes viral, I'm like, I can't go there for like another. another four months now.
Starting point is 01:26:58 I mean, I'm happy for you for the business and shit, but I don't like want to do it y'all. Like, I don't, I'm going to go find somebody else, but I'm happy for y'all. That's y'all. Yeah, no, definitely. Do you? You know, you want to see these small businesses, like, have those moments. But there is something nice about being able to go to your favorite spot.
Starting point is 01:27:14 And, you know, you can get the same table, sit down, you know, like, just chill. Same table. They know your order. Yeah, like, if you go there and the line is wrapped around the block, you, like, oh, my God. Like, and then you hope somebody in there and Rex sees you from outside. And you can still just walk. Nah, you can't.
Starting point is 01:27:30 It sounds like me at Amme now. You took the word. I was about to say, Roerian, Maria Ami. Like, fam, I've been here when Teddy Press's first teacher.
Starting point is 01:27:37 Yeah, like, it's just like, I'm happy for y'all dope. But like, come on, I don't, I don't need an appointment
Starting point is 01:27:41 to come in here. It's crazy. So they gave me an appointment and it was six people on the store for one time. Yeah. I said, the door opened.
Starting point is 01:27:48 I saw six people. And I said, I got to wait out here 30 minutes because six people are shopping. Yeah. I'll see y'all next week. in the beginning are now like on the corporate level. Like they're not at the registry anymore.
Starting point is 01:28:02 So like anytime I text them, they'll be like, bro, I'm in the office at Midtown. Like, I can't help you. Yeah, it's bad.
Starting point is 01:28:09 We love to see it though. We love to see these small brands, you know. Oh, I got cursed out by somebody on Instagram, rightfully so. I posted a Vietnamese sandwich spot on my Instagram story.
Starting point is 01:28:20 And he was like, is anything sacred now? Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Why would you post this? Which I understood. I get it, though. I understand.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Especially you as an influencer. People will trust your word. I mean, listen, I do know my sandwiches. I don't like to flaunt it. You're a sandwich sore? I do know my sandwiches. Sandwich sore? I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:28:40 You don't like sandwich or? I don't like sandwich or. It doesn't roll off the tongue well. Okay. I'll try. You know, workshop that a little bit. Oh, yeah. I'll work on it.
Starting point is 01:28:48 This is news coming out of Tennessee. Governor Bill Lee has paused the capital punishment on Thursday and called for a review. of the state's policy on how it puts people to death. This came after Krista Pike, who was on death row. She survived two doses of lethal drug, pentobarbital, which is supposed to send you the greener pastures immediately. And this is the state's second botched execution. Man, just give her some bad fint.
Starting point is 01:29:20 That'll knock her out in one little hit. Yeah, I mean, I don't know how you survive. Because she's the fucking devil. Yeah, that's like... Not the devil. Well, death row would say she is. They was trying to send her to where she belonged and where she came from. Do you know what she did to the woman that she thought was flirting with her, her man?
Starting point is 01:29:38 I do know what she did and she does deserve to be punished. She brought part of the skeleton to school to show everybody. Everybody has the reasons they do things. I'm not sticking up for her. She deserves to... Are you sure? You kind of feel like... My point, my point is she does deserve to be punished.
Starting point is 01:29:57 you believe in a death penalty, she deserves to be put to the death penalty. There's no doubt about that. But the devil, no. She deserves her fair shake. Her life should be taken like shorty life. She had two shakes. But you don't know people's stories and why and how they end up the way that they are. The devil is you just born evil. And I don't think a lot of people are born evil. Sometimes. You start off. But then there's sometimes that you have, you survive very horrific shit and it turns you into a horrific person. Not an excuse, but. Sure. But how do we know she wasn't just born evil based? off the information. Because they tell her, the people that were trying to stay her as execution told her story. Okay, got you. I only know the details of the crime. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:34 Yeah. She was abused or something. Yeah. Yeah. Multiple times. Raped multiple times. Okay. Got it. Got it. Got it. Okay. Mentally fucked up. Like, yeah. She need to, she definitely needs to be, she need to go. But I feel like if you beat this, if you beat the two lethal injections, God still want me here. Like, the state of California, the state of Tennessee can't override God. Like, God still want me. God ain't take his hand off me. He ain't take his hand off me Shit y'all got to let me rock Your weapon formed against me shall prosper
Starting point is 01:31:00 That's what I'd have been saying I'd have been in that motherfucker's no weapon Formed Two rounds of lethal injection And I'm still in there She's really into Christ That's what you think I mean if she wasn't she is now
Starting point is 01:31:15 And I'm still in the motherfucking house Yeah like so I mean I don't know what this means though I'm not sure I think you could pray to that other side And the other side might keep you alive too I don't know why y'all keep thinking is God. Somebody said even hell didn't want her. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:31:31 Does she get another last meal? I think she refused her last meal, actually. Oh, did she? Yeah. You know, and now you've got to get like some Chipotle or something. No, first of all, I just found out that the last meal has to be made in a prison. And it can't be worth more than $10. That's got to be new.
Starting point is 01:31:48 $10 or $20. Because I've read on Instagram, which is definitely factual true. It might be, it might be according to the things. the state, but I think it can't exceed like $10 or $20 or something. And didn't like Outback have some scandal where like they gave some mass murder, like the last meal and Outback was like, chill, we don't like, we ain't know it was going there. Oh, yeah. I mean, we just made the state.
Starting point is 01:32:08 Spending caps, states that permit special meals and for strict budget limits, such as a $40 limit in Florida Department of Corrections and a $25 limit in Oklahoma. And Tennessee is $20. What the hell? What the way? They was getting Arby's? The food must be purchased locally or prepared. in a prison kitchen.
Starting point is 01:32:27 Wow. I mean, not that they need, they don't need crustaceans and nothing like that. Get his ass out. It's not like you're going to enjoy it. If you know this is your last meal, can you even taste that shit? No, I should say like cardboarding.
Starting point is 01:32:40 Yeah, everything. My taste buds don't even work if I know this is the last thing I'm about to eat. Yeah. And then you're about to walk me down a hole in 10 hours and kill me? I can't taste this shit. Nah, because John Wayne Gacy,
Starting point is 01:32:52 the clown guy, he got he got KFC I mean it probably under under $40 probably yeah especially at that time yeah $20 can't
Starting point is 01:33:03 40 dollars a KFC and what was that the 90s you could have ate for for a month $40 a KFC that's why I understand my mom's like we got food upstairs this is $3 yeah 1994 that out of little nigger
Starting point is 01:33:16 $1994 in Illinois yeah $40 you could probably franchise a KFC come on man yeah you could have You could have bought this joint. $40, you big bowling in 94. What would you guys this last meal be?
Starting point is 01:33:31 That's a really good question. Is it? Yeah, I don't, I've never thought about that. Like my absolute last, last meal. Yeah. I need a porterhouse. It probably, it probably, um. Medium.
Starting point is 01:33:45 It'd have to probably be a steak. Steakhouse mac and cheese. Steaks and mashed potatoes. Yeah, I probably probably go that route. Pieces, shrim. scampy. Shrimp scampy. Look what the peas want to eat.
Starting point is 01:33:58 Pete, you're lying. First of all, you want a funnel cake. You want corn dogs. You want all carnival food. Everything you can get at the Yankees game. Give me the carnival buffet. Like, I want all carnival food. Peach,
Starting point is 01:34:10 Peach bought Kai candy, peanuts, cracker jacks, and corn dogs is at the office. Celebrating the Yankees win, man. That's all. Oh, my God. But don't, would you want to be all bloated up there on the chair? It really doesn't.
Starting point is 01:34:22 Rory, I promise you. No, but people got to be like, oh, man. People get, I don't want to have gas and people watching me in a choir room. Or, I mean, there is that when some people are killed and they're about to shit, their bowels, like, do you sometimes shit when you die?
Starting point is 01:34:38 Yeah. Maybe, like, if you really wanted to make a statement, you get as much sloppy Joe as you can. And shit when you die for everybody. You know what I never understood? Like, people would have been on death row when they'd be walking them to, like, the chair? they'd be actually walking.
Starting point is 01:34:54 You niggas would have to drag me. But why do all of that? No matter what, you're going to get there anyway. I'm going out with a fight. I'm not just walking to my death chair. You don't want your honorable death? Fuck no. No, I'm walking with my head.
Starting point is 01:35:06 High. Fuck that. Gail mascara on. Bad bitch. Oh, that she's about to get singed. Them fake lashes. All of that about to burn it in 10 seconds. It's going to smell like burnt rice in 10 minutes.
Starting point is 01:35:22 Hell, nah. They'd be walking just some... What? No, I'm not going out like that. Nah, you got to go out like a John coffee. Nah, no, I'm going out like... Who was that one dude that was kicking and screaming? They had to put the...
Starting point is 01:35:38 They had to time up like a hog. They had to carry me in there, like, luggage. I'm not walking. Walk to the chair. Walk right there and sit down. Get the... Nicky. Walk right there and sit down.
Starting point is 01:35:52 You're about to fry. me, it's not happening. So you're going to, what, assault a guard to the point? Everything, it don't matter. What you're going to give me? More time? It don't matter.
Starting point is 01:36:00 I'm fighting, kicking, biting. It's going to be rough getting me to this chair. Well, what sicker is is the practice they do. Well, obviously, they don't do the chair anymore. And I'm only going off what I watched in the Green Mile. But they did dress rehearsals. You're not about to drag me to the chair to dress rehearse my death. Are you serious?
Starting point is 01:36:16 You never saw the Green Mile? No. Yeah, they do like a practice run the day before. I think I was very, very, a lot of movies. A lot of movies. I watched when I was like a damn near a baby. You should watch. It's one of those movies.
Starting point is 01:36:26 It's a great movie. It's a great movie. It's a great movie. That's like the movie that they would show you like in school on movie day. Like they would definitely like drag. But grandma would take two days to watch. Yeah, yeah. They would definitely drag that out and turn that on.
Starting point is 01:36:39 That's definitely one of those movies. But yeah, they, DeMirce, they did like a practice run the day before where they take you from yourself. They sit you in the thing and they do like a pretend situation. Now that's crazy. And not knowing they didn't wet the sponge. I don't know. Maybe you deserve to get cooked that way. Nah, John Cofy?
Starting point is 01:36:59 No, the other guy. Remember when Percy got his first go at it? It was a dude that had the mouse, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Didn't wet the sponge. I mean, I don't know. At this point, is it double jeopardy? For, what's the name, Krista?
Starting point is 01:37:19 Yeah. No, they're going to make sure. They're going to make sure they go through with this. Yeah. Now, you were saying something very interesting before we started with. This is the second time or first time? I believe it's the first time. First time that they had an all-female staff.
Starting point is 01:37:34 According to the New York Post, which is very relevant. According to the New York Post, allegedly. This is the first time they had an all-female staff in charge of the state's execution. They did not have Tom Hanks at the helm. So do we think that this is a case of maybe one of the women on the staff felt bad? Like... women looking out for women Yeah, and instead of
Starting point is 01:37:55 For a woman that killed a woman Instead of putting the dough she was supposed Maybe she put like You know some ivy Like something to like hydrate her or something Like just saline Yeah a little saline Like you know
Starting point is 01:38:06 Let's not I'm just saying like it could be a case It could be a case We've seen crazy things happen Ten years from now we get word That one of the women on the thing was A distant relative A distant friend of
Starting point is 01:38:18 And decided to switch vows and was like, it could be anything. I'm just saying. That would be the SVU episode. Oh, I'm sure they're already shooting this right now. Outside. It has nothing to do with sexual victims unit, but it'll be on law and order,
Starting point is 01:38:35 SVU, for sure. Medical experts said there were signals that an intravenous catheter rather than directing the drug into the bloodstream allowed it to leak into the tissue surrounding the insertion point because of how or where the eye
Starting point is 01:38:51 was inserted because of the fragility of Mrs. Pike's veins or for another reason. Such an outcome is known as IV infiltration and has been cited in past botched, past botched executions. Medical experts said that experienced doctors would typically be able to recognize signs of an IV infiltration as it occurred. Experienced doctors would be able to recognize that. I mean, I guess. I'm not for the death penalty, not in like any moral way. I think like as taxpayers, we pay too much for for prisons in general. But I wouldn't mind my tax dollars going to like the monsters on the guilty monsters on death row to just rot in there for the rest of their lives.
Starting point is 01:39:41 Like to me, that's worse than getting the easy way out of just having someone inject some shit and I'm going. No, I don't believe that. it's easy to say that when you don't have somebody that you're closer that's a victim of one of these monsters I understand that but I mean what would be worse letting them suffer for
Starting point is 01:40:03 another fucking 50 years or just they're done clean why do you say suffer? I think you jail is not I don't know if y'all notice or not do y'all know people in jail? Yeah of course jail is not as bad as like y'all think it is like
Starting point is 01:40:16 like I don't know if you're what y'all think is going on in prisons like you can do a very comfortable, very easy. You can go to school. You can get a trade. You can start making license plates and shit like that. Do they still do the license plate? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:40:29 I'm just getting you can work out. You can fucking, like, you don't have to be like jail is not this place where you wake up every day and it just fighting for your life. You could pay inmates for massages like puff. But jail also sucks, well. I hear what you're saying. You could also get stabbed.
Starting point is 01:40:46 Yes. I get stabbed going to get fucking pizza right here. So I think there's a higher chance of getting stabbed in prison than walking to get pizza right. Well, because there are more people that have stabbed in prison than it is, right? So yes, it's a higher chance. But if you're in prison just doing your time, well, hear me out. And minding your business. Like, you're not in as much dangerous people think.
Starting point is 01:41:06 You didn't let me finish. I know even people on death row have fucking TVs and shit. And some of them are living better than people that are free. I get that. I'm saying if you remove the death part of death row and just make it a very, very, very shitty environment for somebody for the rest of their lives. Like put them in isolation for the rest of the way? Like you just dare.
Starting point is 01:41:26 You got no TV. You don't get no books. Then to me that's fucking worse. I don't know, man. Throwing me in a box with no windows, can't speak to nobody. I don't have a TV. I don't have nothing. I think that kill me.
Starting point is 01:41:45 Please kill me. Yeah, but we still. The next 60 years of my life, I'm just sitting in darkness. kill me like what are we talking about yeah but then taxpayers are still paying for these people to well that's where i said that's where i wouldn't mind paying that as opposed to somebody that has a fucking weed charge that's that's costing you know 1500 a day but weed charge you're not on fucking death row i know i'm saying i'd rather take the tax dollars to do that than for petty little charges where inmates are costing $1,500 a day god forbid if one of my friends kids was
Starting point is 01:42:13 molested and they found a person kill him or kill her but you don't get the death penalty for stuff like that. I don't care, but I want them to die. I agree with you, but I'm saying that the death penalty goes to is not stuff like that. You should get the death penalty for that. Anybody that rapes should kill him. Other countries do it. You rape in other countries?
Starting point is 01:42:36 It's no, you're not going to trial. We're going to kill you tonight in 30 minutes. Like, you ain't no reason to draw this thing out. Yeah, we know he raped this woman. Like, kill him. Very simple. I mean, in this hypothetical, let's say everyone that is convicted is guilty because that's where things get fucked up. Because there's plenty of people that are wrongfully convicted, even on death row we've seen.
Starting point is 01:42:58 Like when B&A got added in, half a death row walked out because it's like, oh, they just accused the wrong black guy. Let's just in this fairy tale, everyone's guilty. What if a family of the peers got to decide what your sentence was? I'm with that. That would be fucking great. I'm with that too. Like the family reunion gets together. after and we all get to vote
Starting point is 01:43:21 on what happens to this person. I'm telling y'all Lions den. Lions want to eat half these niggas though. Shit. Hungry lions? Oh, hungry, yeah. Yeah, the hungry ones.
Starting point is 01:43:34 Throw them down in that den. I'll tell them all the time. And let us watch. The same way we could watch all these streamers, stream that. Streamer convicted rapists that we know streamed. Let's go to stream. Show us him going into Lions den. niggas are tighten up
Starting point is 01:43:50 niggas has changed their minds about what they're doing yeah crime if your victim's family could decide what happened to you I do think some people would think differently about crime definitely definitely that would that would change how someone will go about doing something just changing like the penalty for crimes crime drops like we see it in states like do you get a harsh penalty
Starting point is 01:44:13 for certain things now it's like that shit the numbers drop Imagine showing us somebody being thrown into the Lions, because the family said that's what we want to happen to this person. Imagine we could watch that. Nobody, that crime that that gentleman did, nobody's doing that. But a lot of the people that commit crimes that get you on death row are usually so sick in the head that the consequences aren't really on their mind.
Starting point is 01:44:35 Like, they could watch the lion shit and be like, yeah, it looks ill. I can't wait to get that attention. Some of these people really do that shit so they could be a serial killer, like a type of person. But I don't know. I'm curious what. if this changes anything with our death row model. Well, they've halted Tennessee's death row executions for the rest of the year.
Starting point is 01:44:56 So she won't die for the rest of the year, at least, and then we'll see what happens. How often are our people leaving nine? No death November for her. No death November? No death December. It's a dry October for her. She probably regrets not getting a last meal. She's probably starving when she woke up. She might not be well.
Starting point is 01:45:15 Well, they brought her to the hospital, but. Yeah, I was about to say she might not be well because those drugs are supposed to like stop your heart, stop your breathing. Like when they said she was snoring, I'm like, I don't know about, she's not asleep. Like she's struggling to breathe. So we don't know if oxygen was getting to her brain. We don't know what condition she's in right now. I will say though. All right.
Starting point is 01:45:35 They said that what we have been told is that she is in critical condition receiving life-saving care. And just to let you know. What is the point of that? why are she receiving life save? Y'all was just about the killer. Now y'all giving her life-saving care? For everyone that's listening to this that is against universal health care,
Starting point is 01:45:54 please explain this one to me. There's people with no health insurance. And y'all was just trying to kill this bitch. And now y'all giving her life-saving care. What is like, this is, like the world is crazy, man. And I'm having trouble getting an epipen for my daughter right now. It's crazy, man.
Starting point is 01:46:13 That's fucking nuts. Oh, well, we'll have to see what happens to Crystal Pike And, you know, if she makes it out of this critical condition that she's in, if they save her life only to try to take it again This world is crazy. How many death row inmates are killed each year? Like, how big of an issue is this? Roughly 25 to 32.
Starting point is 01:46:37 That's way more than I thought. Yeah, I didn't. I assumed it was like one or two a year. No, how. Sometimes zero. More than that. Definitely more than that. Didn't catch the latest Roland Martin unfiltered podcast?
