Welcome to November! The gang is back after an eventful halloween weekend! They catch up with each other (2:20), and gain some clarity on some tweets made over that time frame by a crew member (12:35).... This leads to a convo about the clutch time thinking of a man when told to go to the store to get condoms during an intimate moment (14:19), before we react to the news of Young Thug gaining his freedom, and consider what that might mean for him and his career (24:08). Drake was active outside as well - his attendance at Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony game and alleged threats to Demar DeRozan went viral, and the guys give their thoughts (37:54). Meanwhile, Lil Wayne did a HotBoyz reunion at Lil Weezyana fest, and his performance confirmed what many already believed in regard to his request for a Superbowl performance (55:00). Tyler the Creator is coming for his respect with his sales hitting almost 300K for the first week of his latest project, will he be the first rapper to see Taylor Swift numbers (1:09:42)? Dj Envy is in hot water with the internet after a video of his daughter in a Lil Kim costume went viral, and Rory gives his opinion as a father (1:19:40). Speaking of viral, another Cam Newton clip is making its rounds, with an accompanying message from his current girlfriend about the openness of their relationship (1:29:03). We have voicemails! The first is from a man checking Rory’s temperature about an alleged incident involving women (14:35), and the second is from a guy trying to decide if his coworker is flirting with him (1:51:11).For MORE Rory & Mal, make sure you subscribe to our Patreon community, for exclusive episodes, first access to tickets and merch sales, private live chats with the team, + more! https://www.patreon.com/newrorynmalFollow Rory: @ThisIsRoryFollow MAL: @MAL_ByTheWayFollow Julian: @Julian__nicholasFollow Demaris on YT: https://www.youtube.com/@DemarisG To watch the podcast on YouTube: https://bit.ly/NewRoryAndMALYouTube Don’t forget to follow the podcast for free wherever you're listening or by using this link: https://bit.ly/NewRoryAndMAL Thanks to our sponsors: This episode is sponsored byBetterHelp. Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits,
Starting point is 00:00:12 my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show. This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:00:28 So let's get to it. Listen to the. the Clifford show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok podcast network on TikTok. On the Look Back at it podcast. From 1979, that was a big moment for me. 84 is big to me. I'm Sam Jay.
Starting point is 00:00:45 And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:01:07 or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Daniel Alarcon, and this is my friend. This is much more famous than I am. I wouldn't go that far, but I'm John Green. Co-host of the podcast The Away End with my old friend Daniel. On our podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things,
Starting point is 00:01:29 football, soccer is the most important. Listen to the Away End with Daniel Alarcon and John Green on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Mama, what's wrong with America? Why can't we get along in America? Something's going on in America. People entertained by the predator. We used to be united in America. Now we just divided in America. We all immigrants, different characters, but together, you know, we can break down the barriers. So Redis them vote for your life. Do it for your daughters and your sons and your wife.
Starting point is 00:02:10 If you're a woman, then vote for your rights. And don't let them take away your rights. We could be better than we ever been. We're about to have a woman president. Haters going to say that we can, but the word American says that I can. And we say, yes, she can. You like them niggins with new veneers. Freddie Freeman.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Got the placeholders? Placeholders? Don't they give you like another set of veneers before they get your real veneers? Yeah, because don't they shave your teeth down like the first set? Yeah, they give you a little mouth guard for like a week.
Starting point is 00:02:49 That's what you got now? I don't have a mouth guard. How do you eat food with that? I'm gonna get the XL veneers. I can't even close my mouth. You're going to a juice cleanse. You just juice for like two weeks. And that gives you veneers?
Starting point is 00:03:01 Well, no. We can't chew. Oh, okay. Until you get your veneers. Got you. Just break your juice. or something. The wildest makeover.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Oh, no. You got the horse. Oh, yeah, those are rough. Sorry. I feel like you would
Starting point is 00:03:16 have enough money to go get through like the medium veneers at that point. That looks like they did those in a Colombian basement. These are so bad
Starting point is 00:03:23 and he's too rich to look like that. That's wild. He kicked eyes. Yeah. Damn. They got whiter when he moved to L.A.,
Starting point is 00:03:32 I mean, naturally. Gotta keep up with West Hollywood. Now he's won the World Series. They'll get whiter than that. Yeah, right? I didn't see any footage.
Starting point is 00:03:40 And maybe it's just because I'm a hater and I'm still grieving. But I didn't see any footage of like the parade over the weekend for the Dodgers World Series. I know Maul saw it. Did you see the fan that got his hand blown off, Maul? Oh, my God. Yep, I knew he would. That was crazy. His hand looked like Fusili.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I don't want to laugh at someone getting their hand blown off. What was he doing? Lighting a firework. Like a short-ass fuse on it. He lit it from his hand. Where'd he go? Oh, he's there. I thought he'd like disappear.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I thought he evaporated. Trying to find his fingers. Roy, look at the shit. No, it's bad. He's shaking his hands. It's like, fam, you don't have hands anymore. Yeah. As much as I like fireworks,
Starting point is 00:04:19 look at that. I'm using like the grill lighter and it's going to have a long... I don't need to see that. It's cool. And as much as the Yankee in me wants to be like, that's what you get. I'm not going to do that.
Starting point is 00:04:30 It looks like he's really doing the blood. Everyone, be safe with fireworks. This is not a joke. Why would you light an M80 holding it, though? Like the M80 you put on the floor and light it and run. Funny thing about it is there was like four different angles. Yeah, because he was trying to get that real TikTok video to go viral. He went viral.
Starting point is 00:04:49 He went viral. He went viral. He definitely went viral. Welcome to Viro University. But you have to figure that's his friends that are filming it. So your friends put that footage up of you? Yeah. They was recording it live. Oh, this was live? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Never. But who is he? Like, were people tuned in? Did someone clip it? Like, if a random person goes live, how many people are really watching? Blow your hand off. You get a few views. Well, it took off.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Who went to, like, Reddit and Discord was like, yo, tune in. Like, he just blew his handle. That clip really took off after that. This is. I felt like one of his friends posted this. This is like one of the three clips I saw floating around from the parade. It was that and then people lighting shit on fire and rioting, you know, classic parade stuff. Classic democratically ran.
Starting point is 00:05:30 See, that's why the Yankees supposed to win. We don't do that in New York. We don't set shit on fire. here when our teams win. Not when the Yankees win, but we said, like, we set a whole borough on fire so we could put a highway there. Well, that's different. I don't think the Yankees won that year. They're putting funds elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Steinbrenner was doing. Trying to get the real estate for the stadium. Exactly. Well, how was everyone's weekend? I mean, I'm not going to say shout out to Dodgers fans. Fuck y'all. Weekend was great. Had some friends in town from London.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Oh, nice. Oh, okay. New friends and ones you met at, like. No, our friends, Whitney. Whitney, Aisha. Whitney's birthday was the birthday. Amazing. Met up with them, had a drink and had dinner with them.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Love that. And that was it for me. I didn't do nothing else. Where'd you guys go? They had to show them to town. They went to, they booked that Tatiana's. Okay. Hey.
Starting point is 00:06:17 So went there and ate and I took them to overstory and had a drink. Nice. That was it. Had a little toast. Cheers. That's a good little birthday spot. Yeah. I'm shocked you weren't like the Tor God.
Starting point is 00:06:29 I feel like you would have to show him. Oh, man. Torgue. Take another hood. Not a tour guy's old for me, man. 1199. You know, taking people from London, like, yo, this is 1199 right here. Why would anybody show you that?
Starting point is 00:06:42 I feel like I hate that tour guy. And shout out to gigs, I love you. But when we went to London, he's like, you want to see what's the neighborhood he's from? Peckham. I was like, not really. Why not? Let's go see Peckham. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:53 I don't like the tour guy that, like, wants to take you to the hood. Why not? I'm just not that. I'm not there in my life anymore. It's good to see the hood from in different countries and different cities, man. Like, you start to realize every hood is really generally the same. For sure, but let me see like some of the attractions first. Like when I'm in Houston, let me see, let me see the gallery of mall before I see
Starting point is 00:07:11 We went to Wonderland. We went to Wonderland, right? We did. Okay. So then now we go to Peckham. It's a balance, Rory. We went to the, we had the festivities. We had, you know, food and we got on the rides and things like that.
Starting point is 00:07:24 And now we go to Peckham and see the manda. It's just, it's too risky these days. I mean, these young kids, they're high. I don't even know what's going on. They're high. They are. Galaxy gas. We haven't even brought up that yet on this show.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Galaxy gas. Yeah. They're all, you know, when they get veneers, they get addicted to laughing gas. I don't even know what to do anymore. I'm glad I was never like the druggy kid. I feel like all the kids that like... You just got all the other kids hooked on them. I mean...
Starting point is 00:07:48 Yeah, you just destroyed family. I'm a businessman, Roy. I'm more of a businessman. I always had a businessman mindset. Yeah, the drugies, the kids are on drugs, man. The kids on drugs and I think that they're now getting bored with the drugs they have, so they're creating new drugs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Even though Whip It's... and things like that. They used to call it huffing when it was glue. Yeah. That's been around. Or when they would put like gas, at one point they would suck in. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:08:13 at one point they was just running up to the AC units outside of buildings and just sniffing the gas outside of the AC units. I'm like, I don't know. At that point, just put me on crack.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Yeah, I mean, at that point. Just make me an honorable cracket at that point. Exactly. The thing with Galaxy Gas still, like while huffing and whipits have always been a thing,
Starting point is 00:08:29 it was at least like not commercialized as that, you know? It was like, okay, these are four whipped cream, cartridges or like balloons, whatever, etc. Yeah. Galaxy gas is just advertised as, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:41 huff this shit. Yeah. Yeah. Like, it's not even like a, it's supposed to be for this, but we use it for that. It's just galaxy gas. You have a huff? It looks legal. Do I? No, I never got into that shit. Because up in your town, this, that's big. Yeah. Those type of areas, Huffity is big. Upstate New York, they fuck with a lot of
Starting point is 00:08:57 pills, yeah, it's like pills, heroin. I mean, it's like, you know, more, it's a city, but it's still like the drugs are more rural drug culture. Yeah. Yeah, Galaxy Gas is probably big up there. That's mainstream now. Look at the label. That looks like you could just buy it right at the window at the gas station. It's like I'd get that with like a coffee.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And this is why I don't want to like see everyone's hood anymore. Because this is what the kids are on. But $3.99. Blow my fucking head off just to get some more whip it. That's why I be in the house, man. That's why I be in the house. I had a pretty low, low key weekend. This is not an ad, but I went to Space Club in Brooklyn,
Starting point is 00:09:32 which is like a kid's like playground almost. almost, the blow-up stuff, the ballpits. I had more fun than the kids. Went for my man, Mikey's son's birthday party. And I have not had this much fun. I was like kicking Amara over so I could have more fun. Move it, Amara. No, you know.
Starting point is 00:09:49 That was a soft landing. Yeah, they need that. That's tough love. This is disgusting. You ready for this mall? Look how great this place looks. This is Rory. Ew.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Bust it open. You look like Seekon against the Eagles right there. I did push Amara over. Mind you, I didn't watch the Eagles game. I think it was going on at the same time. But me and Sequan were on the same algorithm. You're in the same color, too. We knew what time it was.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And look at the defenders I have coming at me. Yeah, they can't tackle you. That's a touchdown. That's too stiff. Yeah, look at the wind up. Yeat. That's an athlete right there. Look at the balance.
Starting point is 00:10:26 I just feel like what made you... The spread is crazy. Spreading your cheeks like that. No, my cheeks were open at that point. If you're listening, Rory's in like this padded room. It looks like a psych ward room, but there's a massive... Oh, put me in a psych ward if that's a psych ward.
Starting point is 00:10:42 I had so much fun. Me too. I'll chill right there. A massive blowup ball reminiscent of an exercise ball. And he runs up to it like a gymnast and plants his feet and kicks his legs super wide around the ball and leapfrogs it. I mean, I had to get over it. Tell them what type of light bulbs they have in that place, Julie? That was a pretty good description.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Exposed. Audio book. I gave an old audiobook. Florescent tubes. I had so much fun. This place had ball pits like for six blocks. They had keyboards, drum pads.
Starting point is 00:11:11 You could make bracelets. There was not one thing this place did not have. It's great for kids and adults. I feel like this sounds like an ad, but I can't say how much fun I had on Sunday. Yeah, you look like you have more fun than your daughter. And I mean, all the kids were coughing in my face. I didn't care.
Starting point is 00:11:25 I was just in that sea of disease, just swimming through the ballpits. You got to have that. Slides were fun. Yeah, it was a really good time. Did y'all get out and vote this weekend? No, I'm going to vote if you're listening to this today. Today? Okay. Yeah, I'm going to do today.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Did you do over the weekend? I'm not voting. Okay. I told you. Exercise, you're right. Did you guys go off for Halloween? How was your Halloween? How are you, you know.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah, we did the building thing. Amara, you know, there's only so much she can do at this age with Halloween. But it was fun. We took photos. She helped me pass out candy to everyone. Really? Yeah. It was cool.
Starting point is 00:11:59 I feel like y'all dragged Halloween out. It was November 2nd and I was on Instagram seeing y'all at Halloween parties. Well, that's because it was the weekend. Halloween was on a Thursday. People had to work on Friday. But they had Halloween shit the weekend before. Yeah. Like, y'all did two weeks of Halloween shit.
Starting point is 00:12:11 And the ghetto boys told us when Halloween told us. These chicks were on their fifth different thong. Like, how many costumes? Crazy thing is the same one. Same thong. Just different bunny ears. Watch it in the same. Hang it out the night before.
Starting point is 00:12:23 You know, having more bunny ears and thongs, it's crazy. Yo, they were at the Lotto concert in the in the costumes and the cheetah thongs for Lotto. Yeah, fuck all that. Baby, dude, you posted a, uh, Number back to zero. Oh, you tweeted that. Oh, yeah. Oh, I did see that.
Starting point is 00:12:38 What was that about? What were you referring to? She was listening to Brian McKnight. I'm, one, get like a dream come true. Yeah, I want to know what that back to zero was. No, I'm done drinking. Halloween was my last day drinking.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Ah, y'all thought I got dick. No. No, that was the pussy clock reset. For sure. That was not the, it was. When you tweeted that, do you think we would all interpret that as you just got dig down and now we're back to zero? You know what so crazy is that I wasn't thinking.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I just tweeted it. I wasn't thinking. Oh, sorry. No, I'm just done. I'm done with drinking for the next 30 days. 30? Yeah. You're doing it this month?
Starting point is 00:13:11 Can you do, there's no way you're not drinking for Thanksgiving. There's no way you're not, just stop. Just that's cap. Who could get through that? Okay, well, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving will be the only day.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Thanksgiving will be the only day. See, I'm realistic. But then you got to prep the food the day before. So you got to drink while you're doing that. Why? You know, just think she can just tell us anything, though. Like, why?
Starting point is 00:13:28 With confidence? Yeah, like, who are you talking to? Like, we know you. Like, we know you. you're going to have a drink. You went to the Lotto show. You started feeling some things and maybe sent out a text message.
Starting point is 00:13:36 It's okay. We don't judge you for it. We've all been there. I don't know what. Anyway, Lotto's show was really, really good. I was half naked.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Ma was like watching me and Alex get ready. I know Maul was like, what the fuck does this girl have on? No, I was just laughing to myself. Like, this is what women do when they're about to go.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Fellas, we just throw a t-shirt on some jeans and walk out of the door. What were they doing? You know, hair, makeup. Okay. Beatty guy on. The Lotto show, Barclays.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Yeah, a costume. You know how they go. What was your costume? Because you didn't wear one on the show. I was a bunny. I was a latex bunny. Latex bunny. I was a Playboy bunny.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Because latex is different than lambskin. I've heard. Yeah. In case you didn't know. Have you ever used a lambskin condom? I'm from a different era, no. No, I thought your era was the ones that used them. No, I thought in the 70s, that's what they were using.
Starting point is 00:14:23 What were your condoms, a burlap sack? No, sarin wrap. No, it was no condom. Yeah, exactly. See, he knows. Have you ever done the saran wrap thing when you were younger? Saran wrap. You think I've put saran wrap on my...
Starting point is 00:14:35 For a Halloween costume. What movie was that? What costume was that? Leftover burrito? Yeah, leftovers. It was, uh, was it Wu? Or was it Booty Call where they did that? Booty Call.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Booty Call. Both classic movies, by the way. Wu was a classic. I've never been that horny that a chick could get me. Even Vivica Fox, the way she looked in that movie, to get me in that full. with saran rap shit. That was why. I thought you were about to say a girl that looked like Vivica wouldn't get you to go to the store to get condoms.
Starting point is 00:15:03 A girl that hasn't looked like Vivica has gotten me to go to the store to get condoms. What are you talking about? Now you lie. You definitely went to the store before. You would wrap head to toe? No. And saran wrap for Vivica? Absolutely not. How much of a fight would you put up or had you put up in the past when a girl says you've got to go to the store and get condoms? It depends how much defense she's playing. I've done like if I see she's really, she's really not trying to have sex without a
Starting point is 00:15:27 then I'll go get one. But if I see it's a little wigger room, a little negotiation room, it's like, she's like, no, but then it's like she's still letting me play with it. Oh my God. It's like she won't me. I know you're saying in a good way. It's just the adjectives and nouns. What?
Starting point is 00:15:43 She's letting me play with it? Not that one. That one was fun. What was the? Back to the concept. Defense. Just cool. Back to the concert. Shadow defense.
Starting point is 00:15:52 We know what defense is. You know really, me. You know, it's like, like, get a condom. And it's like, yeah, but you don't... But you're the condom guy. I feel like you'd be the one putting up the fight. Like, no, you can't have this. No, I'm the condom guy when it's like...
Starting point is 00:16:03 If I know the girl, like, we really fuck with each other, and it's like, we get to a point with, like, we ain't using condoms no more. Like, come on. I mean, I've just gotten to the point that we won't have sex. I'm not going to go to the store to get a condom. Do you want to go to the store and get a condom? If I don't want to use a condom. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:18 No, I'm going to the store. Fuck that. I've gone to the store in the past. But you got to do it quick. because you give her too much time to think and reconsider. You get back upstairs and she like fully dressed. She gets to talk to the group chat. Yeah, why you got jeans on?
Starting point is 00:16:33 Outside clothes on the bed. I thought we went through this routine. Got jeans on when I left. You just had a robe on. You got to bring her on the mission. That's crazy. No, that's not. I'm not mad at him.
Starting point is 00:16:44 I'm not mad at him. Bringing the wet pussy to the store. My dick's all hard jammed into these sweats. You can't bring the wet pussy to the store. Julian probably brings her to get the plan B too No see we're not That's wow No
Starting point is 00:16:57 And he got to wait in the car Somebody has to wait in the car And he may compress the button You know you gotta call custom service I'm in a different aisle Julian look like he just said to money That was now that they put the shit Before the plan B was like behind the counter
Starting point is 00:17:08 And you just had to like request like Hey I definitely just nutted in somebody I'm not sure can I have the pill behind you No but see now you can just order it through DoorDash Or you can just go to the phone to school I'm like two blocks from that You know that one CVS near me So I've done the condom mission before
Starting point is 00:17:23 And I brought the girl Like we're not gonna fuck of the vibe I'll tell jokes and we'll talk shit on the walk over Oh you think your jokes are keeping the pussy moist Yo taking the girl with you to buy condoms is Well then I'll tell you. Especially she's like a new like a girl you haven't really been with And now the awkward waiting in line
Starting point is 00:17:39 It's not awkward, it's self-checkout Because are you asking which one you prefer? Like which one do you prefer? Like shoes? You want the icy hot one? No let's get some snacks and shit. Oh, you act like y'all on supermarket suite.
Starting point is 00:17:55 She go one hour, you go to the other, and then y'all meet back and check out. Make up remover wipes, whatever she got to get. But then it's weird because you have to make a financial decision. Are you going to buy the three pack that's cheaper or are you going to invest in like maybe a bigger pack? Then you look like a cycle pass. We go. We go 20.
Starting point is 00:18:10 I was going to say you got you got. We're not making this trip again for a while. Do we not doing this? With a chick you just met, it's the first time y'all going to fuck, you're buying the 20 pack. She's no, you're not. He's going to look to like,
Starting point is 00:18:20 on her. No fucking way. What are you going to do? Buy three for like $15 or get $20 for $20. Financially, it's a sound decision. She should look at you like, all right, this guy's fiscally responsible. For sure. Now I want to ask you guys a fiscally responsible question. When you're going to get the plan B, do you get the CVS brand or the real brand? The real brand's around $50 to $60 now. Now, we want to make sure. You could get the Dwayne Reed's CVS Walgreens one for like 1999. Nah, give me the one. We're going to make sure shorties out of it. You know, given a chick a CVS branded plan B.
Starting point is 00:18:52 On that one, like that's the one. Well, actually, that's financially responsible because they work the same. They probably do. Do they? Yes, they do. They work the same. It's the same exact better. Because I don't want no surprises.
Starting point is 00:19:04 I never should have given someone a plan B. I've never had that happen. I had that one crazy chick I've talked about trying to baby trap me, but I've never had to actually get someone to plan B. Like get it for her? Yeah. Or like unbeknownst to me if she did it on her own. I just was never involved with that process.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Then I go, Wayfair, Kyle. You really know how to pull it on. Julia definitely got some fucker. You got some kids. Zero chance of getting a kid. You kind of struck me as a guy that like crushes it up in a pancake batter. No. You kind of gave me those vines.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Prinkle that shit on the salmon? Yeah, he put that on the kuskoos. Yeah, he put that on the kuskoo. No, it's Parmesan. It's blue. No, it's Coke. Snorted it's blue cheese. Snorting of Plan B is thick.
Starting point is 00:19:47 You're crushing the plan B telling the girl it's blue cheese. That would not work. Blue cheese is not crunchy. Why are you looking at me? They didn't take it? I'm asking if Plan B has a flavor.
Starting point is 00:20:00 No, it doesn't. I've never taken a plan. I didn't need to take it. Well, that's why she said that. I didn't let that shit sit up. I didn't let it sit on my tongue and dissolve. I swallowed it immediately. Letting the plan B dissolve like a list of re-s-strip.
Starting point is 00:20:11 It's crazy. Well, we've taken enough blue chew amongst his crew that. You don't let it dissolve on your tongue. No, no, no. but like there's a distinct flavor. Kind of tastes like sweet tarts. Yeah, a little bit.
Starting point is 00:20:22 It's not bad. I'm just wondering if plan B was the same. If you get the off-brand plan B, you got to put in her ass. Do you? Yeah. It's the only way against the quick. If you want to go cheaper, you have to do it.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Listen, man, that's how medication works. You want to make sure it gets in the region fast and do what it does. It's science. Yeah, I get it. Well, when I went to the lotto concert, which is how we got on this conversation. A lot of plan B in the room.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Mariah was there because I went, it was the day Thug got freed. And remember we were talking about it before we left. We knew that he was having meetings and stuff. We didn't know what was going on. But when I got to the conference. He was having meeting. He was on trial. He was on trial.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Demaris, that wasn't, Young Thug hasn't had a meeting in three years. It's not on his terms. That wasn't recorded by the state of Georgia. I could promise you. He only wishes that was a meeting. But go ahead. Anyway, I didn't know what was going on at the time.
Starting point is 00:21:15 we left on a question note. But when we were at the show, Mariah got on stage and she announced that like Doug was free. She started crying and stuff like. You better have cried because you cried when Gunna took a pre deal. I cried. No, I did cry for her because she was on stage crying. She was like, everybody laughed at me and told me I was crazy.
Starting point is 00:21:33 And that man was never going to see the light of day. And like he's home now. She was like boohoo crying when she was singing. And it was like a montage of him on the screen. She was crying because she ain't, she ain't finished her yoga session. Yug going crazy. She knows he'd come at home and go. crazy.
Starting point is 00:21:47 What a big weekend for her. It was her birthday, too, on the 27. Oh, really? That's fun. I love that. Demaris might be the X factor. Anytime something happens with this case, she ends up at the Barclays with them. That's dramatic.
Starting point is 00:21:58 She goes right to the Barclays. Doug gets out. Demaris goes right to the Barclays. Mariah signs is there. We didn't check the money is for a while either. So I don't know what's going on with Damaris. It was really. Anyway, the show was really nice.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Mariah did a good job. Lotto did amazing. She ended up selling it out. That's great. That's a big deal to sell out. Barclay Center. Yeah, she sold it out. A lot of people, you know, didn't expect Lado to be able to pack that arena out.
Starting point is 00:22:22 No, we didn't either. I was like- I'm being admitted. Yeah. Not hate her, but when I saw that she was doing arenas, I was like, well, that's risky. Well, let's give, let's give credit to Mariah too. She had a fan base in the building. Yes, she definitely did.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Shout out to whoever else was on it. Because it was somebody else on the show, right? No. It was just them, too, and then she brought out a boogie, which I fucking lost my mind because. As you should have. I fucking love a boogie so much. I started crying. I haven't seen him in so long.
Starting point is 00:22:44 So she bought out A Boogie, she bought out Little Kim. She said I haven't seen him in so long. Like, live. What was the last time you seen Bush? I ain't know you'd be up there. I haven't seen him live in so long. And you know, he kind of been out of the limelight. So A.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Boogie came out. Little Kim came out. He was just at the last show he was twerking at. Oh. Ice Spice? A Boogie wasn't there? Oh, I didn't see A Boogie come out. I missed that.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Yeah, she bought him out. I didn't see. I didn't know that. I didn't know that. He was like the last artist that lives in New York. So I feel like anytime someone's at the Barclays, they call A Boogie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:15 As they should, though. Well, how was Kim? Kim was amazing. It was great. It was great seeing her, little Kim. Oh, she performed? Mm-hmm. That's dope.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Yep, seeing her embrace Lotto and stuff. It was, it was really, really, it was nice. It was a really good show. Good vibes. Shout out to Lotto, man. To who? The Lotto, like. Lado's not from New York?
Starting point is 00:23:33 I know, but like women to women because we group them all together. Oh, yeah. We do that. And like, here you go. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. She hugged her and said she was dope. And Lado said, and Lado said,
Starting point is 00:23:43 you to go. Kim said you got to be the goat and that was it. You about to be the goat is funny. See, passing the tour? That means you ain't the goat yet. Yo, you're about to be the goat. About to be the goat is funny. That's like somebody telling you about to make the team. Like, what? They got to try out. You about, you're about to win the final. I got seven games to go. Don't put that on me yet. Shout out the young thug, man. Welcome home. Young thug. He was freed on probation. Yes. Took a plea deal. Was it 30 years of probation? I think it's 15. 15? 15. Okay. Can't be in the metro area of Atlanta. Can't speak to anybody but his dad, Gunna, and Mariah the Scientist.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I do love that. Listen, it's better than going to jail for life. And I do have nothing but confidence in Thug. Listen, man, if you stay clean and not run into any trouble while he's on parole. I hope everyone around him is super cautious and make sure he doesn't get into any shit. If you're into some shit, stay away from him. It's going to be tough, man. 15 years probation is crazy to not get in any trouble anybody to not get into any trouble for 15 years it's tough to do let alone with somebody in the spotlight somebody that's uh you know recording artists and somebody that has faced drug addiction because we know obviously that's part of his probation as well he's gonna be drug tested and things like that um so it's tough but i'm happy he's home with his family right in time for the holidays um the talking to certain people thing i don't think it's gonna be too hard after all the niggins snitch don't
Starting point is 00:25:12 on him. I think it's easy for him to kind of like eliminate people from his circle and, you know, just be around his family and his loved ones. But it's going to take a lot. I'm interested to see how this is going to affect his artistry, not being able to, you know, be in the same environments where he probably drew inspiration from, be around some of the artists who probably was around at one point. It's going to be interesting to see how it affects, because obviously it affects his personal life. Yeah. So naturally it would have to affect the way he creates and the way he writes as well. I feel like Thugs one of those artists that's like Wayne, Pac, Ty, like they knock out like at least 10 songs a day. No problem. If there was any other
Starting point is 00:25:53 artist that would be like, yeah, this may be odd for his music. I don't know, I feel like Thug's, it's one of those that, no matter where he was. Those artists aren't out on 15 years of probation. They were able to still move around in different circles and environments and things like that. I just think with their work ethic and how quickly they can create, I think he will be okay. I hope so, man. And it's the email work. Because he knows. One thing I could, you know, and I'm not saying nothing that Doug probably don't already know,
Starting point is 00:26:18 but he know, they own him. They feel like he got away. The case was all fucked up. But they, they on him. And the moment he have a hiccup, they're going to try to, they're going to try to rain down on him. So I just, you know, hopefully he stays clear. Again, you know, he's going to need all the prayers because 15 years probation is not easy for anybody. And I was watching the interview with his pop.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Shout out to his pop. Seems like a good guy. He was upset that, you know, Doug is from Atlanta. His family's in Atlanta, him not being able to be in the Metro Atlanta area. It's, you know, messed up for them. But, like, on a selfish side, I was like, I was like, man, that's probably the best thing for him is to be nowhere near Atlanta. Get away from everybody, man.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Get away from everybody, all the things that pull at you, the different energies, you know, the different vices and things like that, you know, it's better than being behind those, behind that wall. in that cell, you know what I mean? So, fuck it, it is what it is. I didn't see in his probation any mention of having to stay in the States. I assume he has
Starting point is 00:27:19 to for the next 15 years. Unless it's something he'd get cleared with his parole officer for work. It would have to be something like that. They would have to ask the court and the judge if he's able to travel abroad. And if he is, he would have to check in and let them know where he's going, how long
Starting point is 00:27:37 he plans to be there. you know, he's going to have to, everything is going to have to be by the book. Because, again, they feel like they had him. They wanted to put him in jail for a very long time. Yeah. The state obviously fucked the whole case up. And it was a shit show to begin with. But, um, trust me, behind those walls, they, they're definitely waiting and hoping that he slips.
Starting point is 00:27:59 If he could find some way to make it for work and go to fucking Bahrain or wherever the fuck and just get out of the United States, that would be the greatest thing I think for Doug. Yeah. and bring the team with you. Here's some details from what happened with the actual hearing. The judge ordered, he refrained from the metro Atlanta area, which we said, unless he's allowed to return for weddings, funerals, graduations, but must leave within 48 hours of those events ending.
Starting point is 00:28:28 He's required to return to the area four times a year for on probation to host an anti-gang, anti-gun presentation. He must also perform 100 hours of community service during each of his probation years and is not allowed to knowingly have any contact with any of the members in the criminal street gang. Yeah. Wait, 100 hours a year. A year for 15 years? No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:28:57 I don't think 100 hours total, not every year. No, he must perform 100 hours of community service each of his probation years. Oh, shit, every year. That's what I was like, ooh. That's doable. A hundred hours. Yes. It's not that crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:08 It's either that or- That's just like doing charity. The other side of that coin was 120 years in prison, so. No, I'm good. Yeah. And there's plenty of charities that it's not like a bad trade-off. If you donate some money,
Starting point is 00:29:20 they'll sign off like, yo, he was here for... If you tell me 120 years in prison or 100 hours of community service, I'll sweep every highway in Atlanta. That's a great deal with a tooth rush. How dirty is 85? Just put me on the side of that shit.
Starting point is 00:29:33 120 years. Get the fuck out of here. Clean it every day. I sweep every hotel in Atlanta. I don't give a fuck. Guy was on his side. Not that I care too too much, but there's been like snippets. I'm not sure if he's saying he's cool with Gunna or not.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I've seen so many conflicting posts. Well, he was, Gunner was one of the ones that he actually, they asked to be in contact with, communicate with. They have business together. He signed to him. But then Thug posts or something interesting. He had a tweet and said, let's drop something on these rats. I doubt that's about Gunner.
Starting point is 00:30:06 I think it's about all the other people that read it in the child. Plenty of other people. Yeah, I'm not saying that was about Gunner, but, you know, people were like, who's he referring to, the standard third. You know, a lot of people saying, oh, he still wants to talk to Gunner,
Starting point is 00:30:17 so everybody owes Gunner an apology. I think we spoke about it when it happened that we would have to see what Thug said. If he said Gunner was still good, then it's all good. Either way, it is what it is. Gunna did. He did cooperate.
Starting point is 00:30:32 We know that. We saw that. But we always said that it was probably part of their plan to get Gunna away from everything. Yeah. You weren't involved in none of this. Get him out the way. Go home.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Continue to make music. Continue to do your thing. Continue to generate money because we're going to need capital. So, you know, that was all probably part of their play. And I mean, again, yeah, we said that day one after that leaked with Gunner on the stand. They had so much evidence of the amount of people that had snitched and were going to take the stand. I don't think Gunner saying, yeah, Yassel was a gang was really. that detrimental to the entire case.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Right. And yeah, him being the one that would be the moneymaker. Look what Gunna did when he got out. Put out one of the best rap albums. Sold, I think. Second or third. He was number one for,
Starting point is 00:31:20 we've been saying he really... He did what he was supposed to do. He won. After he got on that stand, he did what he was supposed to do, I think, for YSO, as far as generating income, buzz, everything.
Starting point is 00:31:30 And let's say Thug even did feel away. He still needs to be in contact with Gunna, legally because if he signed to him, I feel like Gunn's team could be like, all right, we in our contract, we need to break this. We can't even speak to the guy that signed us legally. You need to end this contract.
Starting point is 00:31:47 And that takes away God knows how much income that Thug probably needs right now. He just had the longest trial in Georgia history. That lawyer definitely had a pretty high fucking retainer. So Doug's not about to say on the stance of the streets, nah, fuck Gunner. No, I need the money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Among the tweets that Doug set out, this one actually came out before he was released, his verdict came out. He tweeted at Drake at FutureNet Metro. We all brought us music game the same without us collabin. This sparked a rumor that Future and Drake had spoken because of this tweet and we've heard reports that they're good and in other reports that that never happened. No, this didn't spark anything outside of Thug just requesting what we all would like to see. a week or two later is when Elliot Wilson came on his platform and said he had heard
Starting point is 00:32:37 a valid rumor that Drake in a future got on the phone and all was well that turned out to maybe not be true I have no fucking idea but I felt like after family matters it sounded like Drake wasn't really that mad at future to begin with he blamed it on his man's
Starting point is 00:32:55 so I don't think it's far-fetched to think that Drake in future at least had a phone call and there's no real bad blood. I don't know if that means they're going to record again together, but I understand what Doug was trying to say. What were your thoughts? I didn't think about it.
Starting point is 00:33:16 I didn't think about none of that shit. Well, there was rumors on the timeline, which of course are valid, that Future was trying to get in contact with Drake shortly after the entire thing. And, you know, there was some talks that maybe they would be cool again. I personally don't really care that much.
Starting point is 00:33:32 I understand the rest of the world absolutely loves feature in Drake together. I like some of their music together, but I'm not losing sleep over it. I don't know. I mean, again, Drake has probably said that in some of the bars, if I remember correctly,
Starting point is 00:33:44 that they never really had an issue. So I think there's probably room for them to work together. Drake and Metro, I think, is a little different. I don't think that's ever happening. Yeah, I don't think. Yeah, no. I don't think they'll work together, you know. But it's just funny because, you know,
Starting point is 00:34:02 that tweet, I read it differently. It was like, yeah, of course the music is different when the guy that makes the best music is no longer making music with other artists. But that was part of the beef. It was like everybody shitting on the guy that has helped them throughout their careers. Yeah, but I mean, even if you go through what Drake and Metro have done, yeah, I see what Thug was trying to say. And he, I'm sure Thug, who was in jail facing way crazier things than a rap beef is looking
Starting point is 00:34:31 at this from a way different perspective than the rest of us that were free that we're invested in this rapby. He's looking at like, does any of the shit y'all went through matter at all? Like, what I'm going through is actual serious shit. Real life shit. He's looking at this. Like, I don't get it. Why can't we all just get along?
Starting point is 00:34:47 I mean, I would love to hear Drake and Future still work together. And even Metro, I would love to hit him on his production. But obviously, it's personal shit there that has to be hashed out away from, you know, just thug tweeting it. It's like, that's real personal personal. personal issues that as men, you know what I mean, before we move together professionally and, you know, work together, we got to, we got to address, we got to address the real issue here. Before we get to the rest of the drink shit that happened this weekend, how do we think
Starting point is 00:35:14 Thug is going to come out, pause? Hey, yo. What do we think is first releases? Is it, is it a single? Is it a tape? Is it a collab with somebody? How do we see Thug navigating through his, quote, unquote, first day out record? I think you will get a song probably by definitely before the holiday.
Starting point is 00:35:35 I agree. I think we'll get some music. I don't know about a full project. There's been some snippets out already that actually sound really, really good. No, Doug is, I mean, he's had nothing but time. Obviously, his mental space was somewhere different. But I'm sure he has songs written already. But, you know, it's different when you come home and you're able to now really sit down and really your mind is kind of free a little bit.
Starting point is 00:35:57 and you don't have, you know, those four walls closing in on you in a prison cell. So you're able to think differently and create differently. But I'm pretty sure Thug is he has, he has songs written for sure. For sure. He's one of those guys. His work ethic is insane. Yeah. Just in terms of his timeline, business is business was his last studio album, which released
Starting point is 00:36:18 June to the 2023. But he's one of those guys where he definitely is sitting on a bunch of music. Which I feel like he might scrap a lot of it. I think he's going to have a whole new perspective. Yeah. Yeah, different energy. And now that he's home, you know, he's probably going to hear music, obviously hear music differently, get with some different producers and things like that. And I'm sure some of it will go against his plea because I think he can't say certain words and certain gang shit.
Starting point is 00:36:47 But that's what I said. So I think a lot of stuff is going to be scary. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how it affects his art. I don't think it, I think Thug's genius is so much more than some of the gang shit he was talking. Like, I think Thugs melodies are some of the best we've had in this generation. I don't think some of the gang talk is really going to affect his music that much at all, to be quite honest. What if he leans into the whole AI thing and let him just use his likeness? Well, I was curious that snippet.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I didn't know who that was in the car. Yeah, they said it was fake. Forgive me, I just didn't know who it was. I didn't put too much credit to that because I thought it could have been AI. It sounded really good. That would be interesting play. You know, tell the judge, that ain't me. Like, I didn't say none of that shit.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I'm sure there's a way to prove AI, too. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, I didn't say that. And even if it was you, let's cook up the AI version of what I just did and bring it to my pro-office. Yeah, that's not me. Yeah, that's not me. That's AI. They're using my likeness and my inflctions and my voice and things like that, but that's not me. Look at the new parole shit.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Piss in a cup and then let me see the stems. Yeah. Let me see it. How do we want to get into honoring Vince Carter? That's how I looked at this entire. Shout out to Vince sanity. Air Canada. One of the greatest ever.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Vince Carter, one of the most underrated NBA players ever, in my opinion. But I am, you know, old enough to remember when Vince Carter was one of the best players in the league by far. I mean, for my era, he definitely was. Yeah, so shout out to Vince. One of the really good dude, too. Vince is one of the most solid, you know, a lot of these athletes have egos. Then the Vince, every time you see Vince, he's the same person, it's always love. So to see him being honored by the NBA and being honored by Toronto.
Starting point is 00:38:27 don't have his jersey. Retired was dope. Do we blame Vince and Drake for ruining the best kept secret on planet Earth, which is the city of Toronto? Ruin it? I mean, it was, it was a gem. It's still a gym. I know, but like everyone knows about the gem now.
Starting point is 00:38:44 But people know about it, but a lot of people haven't been to the gym. A lot of people haven't seen it. They haven't actually been to Toronto. They've heard great things about it. I think that Vince Carter obviously was the guy that, you know, as far as, uh, sports. He was probably the most iconic sports figure in Toronto history. And obviously what Drake did culturally and just on a music level, he brought a lot of respect and notoriety to Toronto. So they're definitely two of the most iconic symbols in Toronto. And it was dope to see them
Starting point is 00:39:15 both in the building and to see Drake honoring of Vince Carter. And I know Toronto wasn't like that well known when Vince was there. I know he was running through Scarborough. No, Vince had a club. He had a club. He had a club. He had a club. I think it was called government or something like that. Just pick out the name of the club. Of the crowd. During the game, Chubbs and Drake were court-side, which, you know, isn't a new thing. He's an ambassador of the Raptors.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Goes to a lot of games. Obviously, Vince getting, his number retired, right? Yeah, his Jersey is retired. Putting up that banner on the Rafters, big, big moment. Not a surprise that Drake was there whatsoever. Shubbs. They just happened to be playing the Kings. So tension was in the air. It wasn't just the Vince Carter Knight by any means. I'm not going to say Drake showed up because De Mardo Rosen was there, but he did stand up for most of the game.
Starting point is 00:40:12 A lot of grilling. If I paid for the seats behind him, I'd be a little upset. Like sit down, Chubbs. For the people that aren't sports fans are aware, DeMardoza was a star on the Toronto Raptors. He's from L.A. He got traded. From Compton, specifically. Yeah. He got traded to the Kings. He moved now with playing in Sacramento.
Starting point is 00:40:31 But he also being from Compton has a big allegiance to the West Coast. And he was at the pop-up, the Kendrick show, the Ken and Friends one on Juneteenth. He was also brought up in a song, not like us. Yep. His name is in it. Yeah, he was in the music video. He was also in the video, which definitely caused some tension we can assume between him and Drake, because him and Drake were.
Starting point is 00:40:53 besties. I don't know if they were friends per se, but, you know, they hung out. I saw a clip of DeRosen saying, like, when he got traded. They were friends, man. They were very good friends. I don't know. I don't know. There was a clip circulating. Is he friends with Kyle Lowry? Is he friends with every raptor ever? Demar has spoken to Drake being a friend. He's spoken to it before. He's been on club Shayshay. When he got traded and he was heartbroken, Drake, you know, he went to Drake's house and, you know, Drake, you know, helped him through that
Starting point is 00:41:21 moment, let him know Toronto will always love him. Oh, that's fake. You know what I mean? So it's, it was, he was a friend. He was there for tomorrow when he was fucked up going through that situation. And, you know, so we're not going to act like, oh, were they friends? They were friends. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:36 That's all of that. I didn't know. They were friends. Obviously has a history with Kendrick Lamar. They're also on record doing a lot for the city of Compton. Parades, marches, community work. They've been friends. Compton is only but fucking 10 miles at most.
Starting point is 00:41:52 So definitely have a relationship there. He chose aside clearly because he showed up in a video where Drake was a pedophile. I don't think there would have been tension had he not because how could you get mad at him just for Kendrick bringing his name up in a song? You can't do anything about that. No, it wasn't bad. You were in the video. It was the video, yeah. You look great in the video.
Starting point is 00:42:14 You showed support in that moment. You showed support in that moment for a record and an energy that was that. directly disrespecting, you know, a guy that was a friend of yours that made it very comfortable for you during your time in Toronto, made sure the city embraced you, rolled out the red car before you, treated you like one of their own. And then the first chance, you know, you got to show your true colors and how you felt, you know, you chose to, you chose a side. And that's fine, but I just understand how people are saying, oh, Drake is corny for this and this, that. It's like, okay. I made it comfortable for you for years. So your first time back, I'm going to make it
Starting point is 00:42:48 uncomfortable. I don't know if Drake made it comfortable for him. I think he would have been... What? If Drake never existed, I think he would have been okay in the city of Toronto. I'm not saying he wouldn't have been okay. I'm saying that him being, him and Drake having a friendship and a relationship while he was in Toronto definitely helped DeMar have a better time and experience Toronto at a different
Starting point is 00:43:07 level. Okay. I'll go with what the internet conspiracies of this entire thing was. He brought Chubbs instead of his son, which I thought was an odd conspiracy because he's brought his son and Chubbs before. It's not really... Yeah, that's just people... That was kind of a reach.
Starting point is 00:43:21 But they brought Chubbs to intimidate... No, he didn't, man. A very large basketball player from the city of Compton. Yeah. I don't think DeMar was that intimidated by anybody? I don't think DeMore was intimidated. A professional athlete. Now, Chubbs and Drake were standing a lot of the games
Starting point is 00:43:37 staring at him directly, even when... Sorry. The ball wasn't even in his hands. And DeMarr was not looking at them. And then at the end of the game, somebody who I believe is just, I don't know, a... a mouth interpreter said,
Starting point is 00:43:49 Drake said, fuck out of here, pussy, or go that way pussy, after the game. Which, I'm not here to stick up for Drake, is not that crazy for a fan to yell at a player
Starting point is 00:44:00 at any sporting event. Right. Well, yeah, different circumstances. Fans, fans have yelled worse. I've been a lot of games and they've yelled crazy shit. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:08 they've yelled some crazy shit, for sure. They yelled crazier shit in the podcast crowd. This was, no, but this was obviously, again, we know what this is.
Starting point is 00:44:14 There was the moment where Drake, because he does the local TSA and the, Toronto Sports News broadcast in the game. And the guy talking to Drake that sports commentator said, you know, what are your thoughts if the rappers were to retire tomorrow's jersey? And Drake's response to that comment was this.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Yes. If you ever put a DeRosa banner up, I'll go up there and pull it down myself. That's the answer to the question. Sure. So that in combination of him calling him a pussy, the stare downs. Oh, no, I'm not excusing. I'm joking with fan banter. Like, we've seen what fan banter can do if Ron our test is in the building.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Like, this is not that. I'm not going to pretend like Drake and Chubbs were not dead staring at that guy upset. And I wouldn't say trying to intimidate him, but making sure he knew that they were there. A lot of people clown Drake for some tough guy shit in that regard. I don't know if you can really say what someone's intentions were. I think Drake would have been there anyways, but at the same time, yeah. They were staring at him like What's up, pussy?
Starting point is 00:45:17 But what are you going to do With a basketball game? What are they supposed to do? Do you want some Putin tomorrow? Like what the fuck are they supposed to? Poonting. Like, yeah, they're supposed to make it uncomfortable. Ice grill him, say, yell at him.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Yeah, that's what's supposed to have. We're going to make it uncomfortable for you during this game now. But that's a little different than like when Drake was doing that to other players when he was the ambassador and the raptors were in the playoffs. Well, yes, it's different now. Now it's like this is actually real because we have an issue outside of basketball rap with you. Yeah, this is different. This issue has nothing to do with basketball. Yeah, at all. No. So why not do that somewhere else? Yeah. Do it where? Oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:54 And Target? I mean, if they both happen to stumble on each other. I know where you at tonight. I know where you'll be playing at. I have courtside seats. But what does that do? Like, what is the end result of that entire thing? It just let you-Demar did not feel anything. I'm sure. It's not about DeMar feeling anything. It's just letting you know I'm not fucking with you. Okay. I think it's more Drake validating that for himself. Yeah, like I'm not fucking. I think you're right, Roy.
Starting point is 00:46:17 I don't think DeMarre gives a shit at all. He cares. About what? Not about his physical being. No, I know nobody's going to. I'm not talking about that, but he don't think that Damar didn't feel awkward
Starting point is 00:46:29 running up the court. And every time he probably looked at Drake, Drake was ice grilling him. And like, that's the first time that's happened to him. Like, they were friends. These are, they were friends at one point.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Yeah, yeah. He definitely felt that. I feel like NBA players, have felt that with women in the crowd. I feel like this is a feeling every NBA player has had before with someone sitting close to the court that has a personal issue with them.
Starting point is 00:46:52 We just didn't know about it. This one just happens to be Drake. I don't think it affected him. That's an all-star right there. He's been through plenty of these situations. It just wasn't Drake. Exactly. So it's not the same situation.
Starting point is 00:47:04 It's not. I feel like it'd be crazier if you had an ex-girlfriend that was sitting in the family section next to your wife, then it would be Aubrey Graham, courtside, which is nothing. When you make 200 million, holes get along.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Shout out James Harden. If you make 200 million, I don't think Drake being courtside matters that much either. Like what? It's going to stop my paper because Drake don't like me? No, it's not about stop. You're getting into other things. Nobody's papers being stopped.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Nobody's going to be physically harmed. It's just letting you know in case you didn't know. I think he knew. I don't fuck with you. I think when he got that call sheet, he knew it was Tom. Yeah, I mean, it's just fun to see it. I like that. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:47:45 DeRosen was asked after the game what he thought about Drake's comments because the reporters told him and he said he's going to have a long way to climb. Tell him good luck. And then he got up and left. The funny shit is I don't know if De Rosen gets his number retired by Toronto. He's number one in every category with the Raptors. He's 1,000% going to. He put up 33 in this game, by the way.
Starting point is 00:48:09 I'm looking at his stats. Oh, we ain't got to. Listen, tomorrow's one of the best players in the league. I don't know if the stare-down affected his ability. We ain't got a game. I was looking at the stats. Of course, everyone's posting everything while it's happening. He leads in almost every category for the Raptors as far as career.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Tomorrow, he's one of the best players in the league. Yeah, he's getting his jersey. Because Vince is what, the first one ever, right, for the Raptors? Yeah, I think tomorrow will be there. And I think it makes Drake look weird. I know he was trying to like be funny and off the cuff talking about something. Yeah, I don't think. That jersey's going to go up and Drake's not going to get a,
Starting point is 00:48:40 ladder and get it. I think if his jersey does go up, it's not, it's not that serious. I don't think Drake kids that much. I think it was, it was just a statement that I'm not fucking with you. That's all. Yeah. We can stay on Young Money over the weekend. Wiesiana Fest also happened in New Orleans and we got the hot boy reunion that we've all been looking for. Big timers. It was a love fest. I was excited to see everyone. Did you watch the stream? I didn't watch the stream, but it was seeing some of the clips. It was good to see them together, especially because we all know that the history over the years, they've had issues and certain members weren't speaking to each other, things like that. So it's good to see them put that behind them and, you know,
Starting point is 00:49:25 get back to the music and support Wayne and his festival. BG. being on stage. Yeah. It was great. It also had me thinking, Dan Mani Fresh produced all this by himself for 20 years. Crazy. Like, when you start thinking about that, I know he got his flowers during verses and, you know, it's Mani Fresh. We know that. But to sit and watch this for an hour and a half, like, it was all Mani Fresh records by himself like not a team like hitman everything that happens with bad boy I respect everything but every one of these songs is Mani fresh all by himself there's never
Starting point is 00:49:57 been like oh alleged he had some ghost producer it's just Mani just Mani yeah so I think he should have really got his flowers but it was fun um I know a lot of people were like why wasn't Drake there why take away from the moment of a hot boy reunion mm-hmm I mean I guess I get it that's that's your man's but why didn't they say that way that way with every other Louisiana festival. You know why they didn't say that. Because DeMar was in the building? No, but why you're saying it?
Starting point is 00:50:23 I know, but stop doing that. I'm not, all right. Stop trying to bait me into the bullshit. You know why they do that. I'm asking the question that the whole internet was asking over the weekend. Why is Drake not at this, but court side mean mugging another NBA player?
Starting point is 00:50:37 Because that's what he felt like doing. Look how, look. You don't like that. You don't like that. You want something more salacious. You want something more. Who did more? for his life, Vince Carter or Little Wayne?
Starting point is 00:50:48 Maybe Vince. See, now you're doing the bullshit. You wasn't in Toronto growing up when Vince was out there, Duncan. You don't know what that did for Drake and his inspiration and all that. Okay. That's all I'm saying. What is Wayne done from? I mean, he helped him a little bit.
Starting point is 00:51:03 He helped him out a little bit. I don't know. I guess my opinion on this isn't going to be as click-baity as I think people want. Maybe Wayne didn't call him. Maybe Drake didn't want to step on the Hot Boy reunion. why hasn't them been brought up for every single one of these? You know why they haven't been brought up every single year. You know, you know why this year is different.
Starting point is 00:51:23 But I think to what you said, though, it could possibly be sometimes when you're a star and the artist as big as Drake, you know that once you're in the room and on the stage, you're the polarizing figure. So it takes away from the hot boys moment because Drake is here. Drake is performing. And then everybody talks about Drake performing instead of keeping it the hot boys reunion. So I think that's probably why. Now, if they would have done Hot Boys reunion, big timers, everything, and then did the next generation, and Nikki came, Taga came.
Starting point is 00:51:52 That's different. Now I would be looking at Drake like, this is weird. Because then that's a young money thing. That's a young money reunion. So, I mean, I see, I would probably stay away from it, too. Outside of, like, with the beef and everything, if you got out doing the Hot Boy reunion. Yeah. Do we need a Drake set in this?
Starting point is 00:52:08 No. Like, let's keep it in New Orleans. No. Also, during his performance, he went on, I wouldn't call it a Super Bowl ramp, but. did address everything that we've been talking about on the pod, what the internet's been talking about, Wayne should have gotten the Super Bowl, and it was taken away from him for Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 00:52:24 Do we have the clip? Yeah. That moment I said to myself, I want to be on stage for the Super Bowl one day in front of my mom. And I worked my ass off to get that fucking position. And it was ripped away from me.
Starting point is 00:52:45 But this motherfucking moment right here, they can't take that, man. They can't take that. I think this moment's better, in my opinion, for everything that cash money has done for New Orleans and the world to have at Weezy's own festival that moment rather than it happening at the Super Bowl. I think is cooler, in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:53:12 I don't think the Super Bowl should dictate the culture whatsoever. I think it's great that the culture's getting in the door. with the Super Bowl. But this is cooler to me. This is Wayne's Festival in New Orleans. To me, that's better. Yeah, I mean, I personally, I think every artist wants that stage, that moment of the Super Bowl being the biggest stage in the world. But
Starting point is 00:53:30 you know, it's just, I just wish people would just be honest with themselves. Like, I don't think Wayne is ever getting a call. Thank you. Okay. Jesus Christ. No, I'm here to have the honest conversation. I want it to lead with the love Wayne deserves first. Listen, we don't, Wayne is a fucking legend. He's a goat. We know that. That's not, him not doing a Super Bowl takes nothing away from them. We just have to keep in perspective what the Super Bowl is. Wayne's content is not
Starting point is 00:53:55 Super Bowl stage, Middle America content. Some would say Kendricks isn't either, but for different reasons. Fuck the content. Different reasons. For way different reasons. I think that's why they actually put Jay in positions. So content like Kendricks can be on the stage like the Super Bowl. But I want to start with saying how much I love Wayne and how incredibly is. While I was also watching this stream and loving every moment, hot boy shit, every Wayne record. It proved to me why Wayne probably didn't get this. His performance isn't good. The performance wasn't at that level.
Starting point is 00:54:26 And not to say if Wayne locked in and focused on putting together a Super Bowl performance, he couldn't do that, but he has never proven otherwise. There is no, there's no evidence that Wayne could put together a performance like that. Right. And a lot of the hits that Wayne has are very, on, a large scale niche. They're number one records. Don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:54:49 But when it comes to what you're saying, a platform like the Super Bowl, middle America, no. Here, listen. It's not. Put together Wayne said at the Super Bowl. And we're having the conversation
Starting point is 00:54:59 people need to have. We're going to come across as haters, but I agree with you. Hold harder. And everyone knows I love Wayne. I don't care about the Internet thinking I'm a hater. Well, yeah, I mean. The Internet thinking I'm a hater means nothing to me.
Starting point is 00:55:08 I'm talking about Super Bowl performance, that level. It's not, that's not for everybody and that's okay. Yeah. I would love to see Jay. a kiss to get a fucking Super Bowl performance. The locks to-
Starting point is 00:55:18 guess what? It's never going to happen. We've had debates, too, about Hove and what his set would look like. Exactly. We've seen Hove do arenas constantly. We've seen them do stadiums. A lot of that stuff
Starting point is 00:55:31 was next to Beyonce. I don't, I want to make sure people know we're not doing some weird Wayne shit. Put together a Hove half-time. That's a tough one too. Yeah. It's not as tough as Wayne. But, all right, you get Alicia Keys,
Starting point is 00:55:45 New York. Thinking that that's the only song Jay Z can perform is, you know better than that. You know better than that. Of course, but if you get into Jay's hits, I don't know if they're Super Bowl appropriate. You want to see Jay Duel Kashmir Thoughts at the Super Bowl? You know, I love Abiza. 22-2s. Like, if you go through Jay's catalog, yeah, that's a tough Super Bowl thing to put together, too,
Starting point is 00:56:13 if you don't have guests involved with it. Yeah. So yeah, it's more of a rap thing, unfortunately. And I get it. It's in New Orleans, so people thought, you know, it was going to go to, I don't even know how people thought that. Yeah, I don't know. I don't even know how people thought that. That's such a weird narrative.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Like, you know, it's in New Orleans, so it should go to Wayne. Nobody thought that but Twitter. It's a fucking internet Twitter rumor that they just ran with. And to the, I'm sorry, but like, Wayne, the audacity to say this was ripped from me. It was never yours to have. You were never in consideration for it. it. Some guys on Twitter took the opportunity to throw your name out there and be like, would have been cool of way. And then it got enough steam that all of a sudden it should have
Starting point is 00:56:51 been yours. That's not how shit works. Yeah. It was never yours. You can't go to New Orleans no once. I don't want to go to New Orleans. Why not? New Orleans is a great city. But I actually want to probably. I'm just letting you know. I'm just let you know. But like, come on. Let's be honest. This is a live stream event. This is his biggest stage. You more than anybody in his room know how I feel. You know. That's not trying to get you there, Malk. Why do I look like I'm getting killed right now?
Starting point is 00:57:15 No, it's not about this. He said it so much. It's not about that. But it's just, y'all know how I feel about Wayne. I fuck him when I love Wayne. But his catalog, we're just talking about music here. His catalog is not Super Bowl catalog. That's not even my argument.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Okay, but see, I'm not even on the side. Forget the catalog. It's the performance too. Performance sucks. Everyone knows I'm a 50 stand. 50 has Middle America hits. He has done that shit. know this last get Richard I
Starting point is 00:57:42 trying toore look what he did and put on somewhat of a show. I think 50 by himself at halftime would be weird. Yeah. Like, that'll be another. He'll never get a half time. Just rappers aren't great because rap culture doesn't breed great performers. You're supposed to
Starting point is 00:57:56 look cool and like chill. Yeah. And I'm not going to give. Kendrick's an anomaly when it comes to that. No, it's just post Kanye, and again let's just be honest. It is Kanye. Even if we don't like Kanye, Kanye, stepped up when it comes to rap performances. There's a different caliber after that, people demanded more from rap live shows after Kanye West when it came to arenas
Starting point is 00:58:17 and, you know, just big stages outside of your lower tier theater. But it's different with Kanye. Kanye's a different artist. Yes, he raps, but he's a different... But Kendrick took a play out of his book as far as what his live show looks like, where Kendrick is very much rapidy rap, but he puts on a show and a performance. You can look through his career and see what he's done with a performance. You can't do that with 50.
Starting point is 00:58:40 You can't do that with Wayne. If Hove's not sitting next to Beyonce, you can't say that with Hove either. So as much as people think this is the Wayne thing, it's not. It's just a rap performance. We've never demanded so much from a rapper when it came to a big stage and what they do with their music live. It's just we haven't.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I just think people just need to just be like we have our favorites. We have the artists we love, we support it. You know, we grew up listening to. But when you start talking about one of the biggest, most watched events in the world, that's only reserved for a select few. And sometimes our favorites are just not one of those selected few. And that's okay. Little Louisiana, your people, your city, come out, your catalog, you know, reunion with your brothers, everybody on stage. To me, that's more, and that's your Super Bowl. Little Louisiana is your Super Bowl. And I think
Starting point is 00:59:32 it's better. It's yours. Yeah. In your city. Yeah, I think it's cooler that way. We all have our things that we want. Like, y'all, I wanted that Super Bowl. I get it. I understand when Wayne. But if we just having a real conversation, and sometimes I have to have real conversations in front of a camera. But this ain't nothing. I wouldn't tell Wayne if I was one of his homies.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Like, bro, let's be honest, though. Like, Super Bowl. If Wayne, in fact, did get a Super Bowl in New Orleans and did a Hot Boys reunion, I would love to see a documentary solely focused on the producer backstage of that show. That would be the greatest reality series I would ever see in my life.
Starting point is 01:00:09 In New Orleans, Hot Boys, Little Wayne Reunion, what backstage looked like. Yeah, can you, you can you, you can see the person now on the headpiece like, anybody seen Turk? Do we have eyes on Turk? Do we have eyes on Turk? He's due on stage in two minutes. I have been stripped down naked. They stole my radio. I am now a hostage.
Starting point is 01:00:30 Man, Super Bowl ain't dealing with that shit, man. There's not enough pluses at the Super Bowl. There were a lot of clips going around from this show, uh, kind of like saying, kind of agreeing what we were saying with the lack in Wayne's performance. This clip in particular was one that I was like, all right. Well, I look like it. I'm on board. Shit got me lit.
Starting point is 01:00:57 I'm actually, I'm not mad at that. No, it don't. But also, it's not fair to find two seconds out of an hour and a half performance. No, there's many. We can pull another one. I've seen him live a lot.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I'm aware, but. Come on, we could just be honest. Like, I love Boy. I'm surprised you've made this honest. No, because I love Wayne. This is your hero. And I love Wayne's catalog. He's a great, but not all artists are great performers.
Starting point is 01:01:16 That's just a fact of the matter. And the Super Bowl is a TV-based performance. They're not telling you to go up there and hit play on an ox court. Yeah, but see, y'all, y'all, y'all argue with me outside of Apollo after we left that show, and I said the same shit. I love the music that he was performing. The performance of it was awful. But that's what I said, and you was like, nah, ma, ma'am. You said that the music suck.
Starting point is 01:01:35 You said these songs are trash. He was doing all of, like, no ceilings, whatever, and you were looking at me like, you really jacking this shit. And I was like, yeah. But everybody was looking at each other like that. Because we were laughing. laughing at the performance. The song is great. Part of the performances that the song
Starting point is 01:01:47 ain't what we thought it was. Corey, we had a good time. We had a great time. No, you didn't. I was standing right next to you. Aaron Judge was behind us. He was bobbing his head. You was more interested in that.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Relax. You was more hype about Aaron Judge being right there than fucking Wayne being on stage. That's not true. Maybe he was. All right, man. I was more confused while I was sitting next to Corey Guns and he wasn't on stage.
Starting point is 01:02:08 But that pulled more of your attention. Like, yo, Corey, right? He could have did. He could have did. That's one of the craziest verses ever. Six to a seven. Oh, man. I don't mind Wayne's performance in a venue like the Apollo.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I thought that was great. But in a stadium? Yeah. We love Wayne, man. Shout out Wayne Legend, but... Just go watch what the weekend did during the COVID Super Bowl. No, that was... Like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:31 That's the caliber. Even Rihanna, who has... The only kind of like Achilles heel she's had her whole career is that she's not a great performer. Look what she did. Is that an Achilles heel? I always thought it was vocally. She didn't have practical too.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Vocals, not performance. Well, yeah. That came out with her performance, but she got way, way, way better. Like, she worked on it for sure. But yeah, that was always a thing because she wasn't vocally strong. Her performance on tour wasn't the greatest. Shout out to Little Wayne, Louisiana. Shout out to the Hot Boys reunion.
Starting point is 01:03:02 Hopefully we get a project for them. That would be dope to hear, you know, hear those guys again. I'm not letting you do that. You just shitted on Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog putting the album out. Now you want a Hot Boys album? I want to hear with Turk and BG and Wayne and Juvie have to say before I want to hear about Snoop is selling us coronas with limes on beaches. I'll buy them for 15 years.
Starting point is 01:03:23 I don't think Snoop even cares to rap anymore. Just me, I don't think Snoop cares to rap. I don't think his passion is rapping anymore. I still think the hot boys are passionate about rapping. Yeah, probably so. Snoop's selling air fries and shit, man. He ain't got time for you niggas rapping. Speaking of someone that's selling quite a bit, Tyler's first week numbers came in
Starting point is 01:03:41 and he is 500 units shy of 300K. So he did 299,29,500 first week sales. Which is crazy because he did it off cycle. I hope this starts a new trend where people can just release it when they want to. Bring the releases back to when they were supposed to release on a Monday night. Yeah. Monday night? Tuesday morning.
Starting point is 01:04:05 It was always Tuesday morning. Bring it back, man. This is his third consecutive number one coming off of, he's, cracked a hundred thousand a hundred thousand first week with flower boy and since then he's just gone up um pretty incrementally and flower boy at that time cracking a hundred was crazy yeah music industry was at that time all right now here's shout of the title dope we don't have to say that here's some hate no but almost 300k i feel like eager and cole me if you get lost is better than chromocopia off of just like a couple listens um i definitely think and he almost doubled what he did i definitely think eager is
Starting point is 01:04:41 I haven't had enough time with this album to say otherwise, but call me if you get lost. I think that's kind of unfair. It's only a week out. But, I mean, he had the momentum coming off, Igor, call me if you get lost, the deluxe of Call Me If You Get Lost, a year later, which was a whole other album.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Yeah, he just has way more momentum. Yeah, he's just a much bigger artist. I agree with you, Mal. Igor, to me, Flower Boy, Igor, and Calm if you lost are better albums. I like Chromacopia a lot, but I don't love it the way I love the other three. Now, I will say they marketed the shit out of this chromocopia. shit. Yeah. Like in a week. Lime green
Starting point is 01:05:13 trailers in different cities and all of that. Like they, the marketing was great. Old school marketing. But you need a lot of money to do old school marketing. That is very true. I'm just saying 300k, that's, I was surprised to see that number. With Tyler, I'm not surprised. His fan base is
Starting point is 01:05:31 and he has a... This is his biggest first week release ever and is almost double what he did on probably his best album. I'm just saying I was surprised to see almost 300. That was crazy. I was like, God damn. But also, like, not to be corny, people are kind of starving for real music, I feel like. Are they? There's a lot of great music out there. I'm not that person.
Starting point is 01:05:52 But a lot of it is, quote unquote, underground. You have to go search for really good music at this point. He's an A-list rapper. I don't want to just call him a rapper, but A-list artist. And we don't have a lot of those anymore. So if Metro and Future are doing 245, it doesn't shock me at all that Tyler's doing 300. I think there's a large group of people that are looking for this type of music right now
Starting point is 01:06:14 and when it comes to A-Lister's or even B-List artists, we don't have a lot of it. So that whole group starts to champion Tyler. Like, we've talked about, I was not a huge Tyler fan in the beginning. I understood what Odd Feature was doing. I respected it, but it wasn't really my type of shit.
Starting point is 01:06:30 I wasn't saying shoot up schools, fuck, rape everyone. Then when he got to Flower Boy, I was like, oh yeah, his NERD influence I can start to hear now. Right. From there, I've just loved Tyler. Like, he turned me into a huge fan from someone that wasn't. And I think me being a music nerd that pays attention to that,
Starting point is 01:06:49 for someone that's a casual fan, it may take a few more years for them to really get on board. And I think after Igor and called me if you get lost, that took the casual fan to Tyler. Because a lot of people don't pay attention to shit and still think Tyler's making weirdo music, which he's doing the complete opposite. Right. Yeah. So, I think it just finally caught up. Music is great.
Starting point is 01:07:09 I just think that this album, like, I don't, like, how are y'all feeling it? Like, I don't, it's not,
Starting point is 01:07:13 to me it's not better than, uh, ego or call me. I wouldn't say it's better than those for me, but I, it's,
Starting point is 01:07:19 it's a step in a, in an interesting and like, still nuanced direction. That's like, for me worth listening to a bunch of times. Like, I, I didn't love it immediately,
Starting point is 01:07:28 but it's, I've been listening to it all weekend. And the more I listen to it, the more I like it. I'm still have the same opinion I had last episode when it came out. it's all over the place, but in a good way. I'm still trying to figure it up.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Camaris is in shock right now. I'm over here choking. I'm sorry. I'm listening to y'all. But I wanted to compare his first week numbers to other albums that have come out this year. He had the second highest selling hip hop album with the re-release of Travis's being beat him by like 62,000 units. But I just went to just Google Taylor Swift just to see what she was throwing out there. That's not.
Starting point is 01:08:01 That's not. And I'm not comparing. I just wanted to see. Like just to, I did not know. Taylor Swift was selling 2.6 million first week. That's why I'm over here choking. I knew it was I. That's a flopter. I knew it. That's a bad week. The label might drop her for that. I expected it to be around 900,000 to like a million.
Starting point is 01:08:20 Hell no. 2.6 million. That's why I was over here like. Yeah. But you understand. You understand the Taylor shit. Like everybody can, five year old can sing her songs. A 50 old woman can sing her songs. Like, yeah, that doesn't. That's like a whole other stratosphere. Yeah. Second. Second on the list is Billy Eilish hit me hard and soft with $306,000 and then would be Tyler. So he's got the third highest selling album of the year. Well, technically, he beat Cowboy Carter.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Technically, Travis beat. Yeah, that's a re-release. I mean, but it's a re-release and it's still beat. I don't think that. What labels are? What label is Tyler? Huh? What label is this on?
Starting point is 01:08:53 Tyler's Columbia. Yeah, Sony. Hmm. Okay. But I mean, it further proves my points to all the negative get off my lawn music fans. Every single year, no matter what, even if you think rap is in the fucking shitter, a real artist always is number one.
Starting point is 01:09:12 You could have the worst rap coming out, period. There's always going to be an amazing artist that leads that year. So. Look at these, I'm sorry, I just found a graph that shows all of Taylor Swift's album. Are you guys new here? No, I just see this scale is, this is insane. I really was, I know she sold a lot,
Starting point is 01:09:30 but by a lot, you don't really put a number on it. So when you put a number on it, it's like, I'm willing to bet Taylor's I'm like that's off If you like you did 2.6 shit We'd be like that was off Recount She did wait more than that
Starting point is 01:09:44 She's debuted over a million seven times I just also just think that It's amazing that her and Beyonce Are able to sell out the same arenas And Beyonce doesn't sell like that No one sells like that Well not not even like that Beyonce just doesn't sell well
Starting point is 01:09:57 That's just because I mean stadiums are only so big Like if they make the triple stadium I'm sure Taylor could sell it out There's just only so many stadiums. That's why you do five nights there. Really lock in. Five nights in a stadium. It's going to be crazy.
Starting point is 01:10:14 While we're on the trailer thing. How do you sleep at night knowing, you'll listen, there's 130,000 people coming to see you tomorrow. All week. All week. Every night. Different people. Imagine being the reason for, like, actual traffic.
Starting point is 01:10:26 Like, real life traffic. Like, you're going to ruin the city's entire infrastructure because you're there. No, you're not going to ruin it. People are going to eat. Businesses are flourishing because you're in town. They said that when Renaissance dropped with all the stuff that was bought and like the tickets and the, yeah, they said Beyonce boosted the other. Yeah, but didn't she have the color silver trending? Etsy sales were like insane because people were buying custom metallic silver pieces.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Who owns silver though? That's what I want to know. They do. You know, you know, Dominicans. While we're on, Charles Chilisraeli. And child's J. Electronica and my father. While we're on Taylor, I stand with Jason Kelsey, man. Anytime a celebrity takes somebody's phone that's harassing them and smashes it on the ground, I stand with you.
Starting point is 01:11:15 Why do people want to try their luck with somebody that was like a professional football player? And why do you want to play victim after you are harassing someone with a phone and then they react? I've never understood that. Paparazzi's fans like, why would you touch my camera? Because you're putting it in my face and I'm asking you not to. They're going to say he hates trans people now because he snatched the phone and this person is, you know, probably was there with somebody that's, they're going to. Wait, where did you go with that? This is what happens when you do shit like this.
Starting point is 01:11:42 They turn it into something. I understand that the fan was calling his brother the F word that's not fuck. And then he said it in response to him like, who is the F now, which I think is okay. He was quoting him. Nope, nope, nope. But that word isn't connected to these friends. He's going to get 100 hours of community service now because Jason. He can do it with us.
Starting point is 01:12:02 Yeah, they're going to do it together. They can do a podcast. Exactly. I love this moment. Do the podcast outside. From what I've seen, though, Maul, to kind of counter what you said, I've seen on nothing but support online. It's like, yeah, like, this kid was being a dick.
Starting point is 01:12:17 He used the slur he said to him back in his face. Like, people were like, yes, he said a word that we deem no longer cool. The internet has agreed, even though they're trying to bring it back. We're working on it. Such a great word. But he, like, he didn't do anything. He didn't step out of what was already a staff. He just matched the guy with his own insult.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Ended quite the opposite. The restraint he had when that kid put his hands on him, Jason Kelsey would. The fact that he just had restraint there, I think he deserves some type of, some type of award. He deserves, like some little punk college student pushed him.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Yeah, he deserves a purple heart. Penn State, too, fucking hate. Fuck Penn State. You don't like Penn State? No, this is it. This is them. Like, they're just, this is the biggest asshole fan days.
Starting point is 01:13:02 This is a shit fan base. Historically, they've been an awful fan base. They have a weird coaching staff. Don't do that. Maybe that's why they're weird trauma. What do you mean? Don't do that. Trauma.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Just don't do that. Rest in peace, that's all. I mean, not talk about. Oh. The head coach. Oh, okay. Some of the people that he hired. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:13:22 What was that guy's name? Who cares? Yeah. Rest of this. Sandusky. No, did Sandusky die? I don't know. I mean, Joe Pa did, but he was.
Starting point is 01:13:32 a thousand years old. That was a weird time. All right. Well, speaking of trauma, how was Envy's Halloween? All right, Rory. Okay. No, I was actually interested to talk to you about this,
Starting point is 01:13:45 being that you have a daughter as well. I wanted to hear your opinions on it. So DJ Envy posted a video. His family, they, I guess, cosplay as Little Kim in the Crush on You video. They kind of remade that whole thing.
Starting point is 01:13:59 So the internet saw the Envy's daughter, who was a very young girl. They had her cosplay as Little Kim. Obviously, we know in the crushing you video, Little Kim wore some things that were not child appropriate. You know, women are supposed to dress like that. So the internet was kind of killing, Inappropriate lyrics as well. Inappropriate lyrics, content, whatever.
Starting point is 01:14:20 So Envy put this video up and people were like, yo, how could you let your daughter dress like that? You know, these lyrics and just this aesthetics is not, you know, it's just too grown for a little girl. to be dressing like this. So being that you have a daughter, I was interested to hear people that have kids. I want to hear their opinion on this.
Starting point is 01:14:37 I didn't want to talk to you guys about this because I figured you guys would call me weird. I'm overreacting. I'm projecting of my past. I'm a new father. This is completely fine. I'm going to say all of that. This is all fun.
Starting point is 01:14:49 This is all great. I was scared to even talk about this because I thought I'd be shamed by you guys for having an issue with this. No, I'm a shame you after you say how you're going. And I'm not here to talk about anyone's children. This is not about Envy's kids whatsoever. I don't want to talk about anyone's kids.
Starting point is 01:15:00 nor even judge people for their parent decisions. I think this was an awful decision though. Okay. I'm not judging you. Why do you have your daughter dressed that way rapping those lyrics? I don't think it's cute. I think it's weird.
Starting point is 01:15:15 I think putting it on the internet is even fucking crazier just for the safety of everyone. I think it's a very strange time. I'm not saying they had the intentions of doing what the result may be. But I thought it was odd and then to double down and post the ALEA, A.J. Nothing. Well, not A.J. Nothing, but a number.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Rock the boat, was it? The next day. I thought it was even weirder to double down on. Wait. People can parent their kids the way they want to. It's not my business. But it was on the internet. And Envy talks about everyone else on his platform. So I think it's okay to talk about him on our platform. Yeah. I thought it was a very odd choice. Yeah, I thought of all the things that you could do on Halloween with the amazing production budget that they had. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:02 It was definitely inappropriate for sure. Not saying that envy, you know, they probably went into it just wanting to have fun and things like that. And then obviously, once you put it on a public platform or social media, you let people then voice their opinions. And people were kind of like, yo, this is weird. This is crazy. You shouldn't have done this.
Starting point is 01:16:22 So, yeah, it's inappropriate. I'll say that. Don't think that envy, you know, is weird or is a, bad parent. I've seen people saying that. I'm not putting all of that on it. I just think that was inappropriate for a little kid. That's all. I think there was a lot of time when putting that together to like have some conversations. Somebody should have been like, yo, um, did we listen to this off? Somebody, somebody with a brain cell. And I feel, this is a thing. I've seen kids dress up as little Kim before. There's a way to do it and make it age appropriate. It was the her
Starting point is 01:16:57 rap and a little. You didn't need to do the music video. She didn't need to do the music video. She didn't to be rapping those lyrics. That's number one. And that red outfit that she had on with the cuts in it and stuff like that was completely astronomically insane. Lo Kim had 17 different outfits on. You could have did every single one. But that one, all the fur coats, all the wigs. I think her with the fur coats and the wigs is cute. If you want to take pictures where she's covered up, it's just the fur coat, it's just the wigs. I think that that is cute. And that could have been appropriate. That would have been fine. Even like, you know, because I'm sure she did want to do this. You can tell that she's super into it.
Starting point is 01:17:28 but you just have to draw a line as a parent. Like even him calling Kim, I thought that was cute. Him calling Kim and Kim like, oh my God, that's so cute. Like, that's a kid's dream. You should have left it there. There shouldn't have been, it should have never hit the internet and it shouldn't have been a whole music video production. And of course, I'm sure his daughter has no idea what those lyrics even mean that she's rapping,
Starting point is 01:17:47 which makes it even crazier to me as far as who is making the decision to do that entire thing. And then after seeing, you know, not that what you do with your family, everyone's opinion on that should define your next action but to then double down and post the Aaliyah video which also to me is inappropriate lyrics and
Starting point is 01:18:10 obviously has some underlying underage inappropriate things going on at that time regardless. It just made it even crazier. And I think everyone has a right to feel upset about putting a child on the internet like that. I don't think it's that crazy to feel. It's why you got to dress your daughter up is Taylor Swift. Mm, white face.
Starting point is 01:18:33 The music video looked nice, though. White face. The music video looked nice, though, and the home is beautiful. Whatever happened to that home thing that he got caught up in? Yeah, the home is beautiful. That was one of the cribs. So what you? You weren't a wire?
Starting point is 01:18:46 I'm just curious. We talked about that for quite a bit. That was an extensive conversation that we've had in this podcast, and it seemed to just gone away. Have you guys ever dressed up as someone you probably shouldn't have dressed up as or did anything. Happy birthday, by the way. Happy birthday, Pete.
Starting point is 01:19:02 Sure. Would have been 50 years old. Legend, love you. Yeah, I dressed up as prodigy and they said it was black face, even though I didn't have any black face. Okay. Okay. Why you're never dressed up as like snow?
Starting point is 01:19:16 Hmm. Wait, like snow, like Toronto? Like the reggae artist. Yeah. Why you ain't never dressed up again? How would I go about that costume? Like, what was his look? The same way.
Starting point is 01:19:27 you about the prodigy costume. Like, I don't know. Just throwing some classes. Yeah, why the fuck you keep dressing up as black people? And just run around saying an informer? I'm just saying you dressed up as run DMC, prodigy. Michael Jackson. Oh, I see where you're going.
Starting point is 01:19:39 Like, why didn't I go with the white? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why take your culture? Why not the Beatles? Yeah, that's true. You never wanted to be like, like Sir Paul McCartney? You never dressed up as him following?
Starting point is 01:19:49 Um, I would have been like John Lennon. I just never really thought. No, don't tell me what you would have been like. You still have time. Halloween just passed. You could have been John Legend last week. No, not John Legend. Damn, what?
Starting point is 01:19:59 No, I'm going to be John Legend, though. There's a funny joke in him, but I'm not leaving John Legend alone because y'all think I hate John Legend. I'm not doing that. I know the joke. That's pretty funny. I asked because I just realized that I dressed up as left eye from TLC one time in middle school. And I had, like, the condoms. Like, remember how TLC used to do the safe sex condoms all over them?
Starting point is 01:20:17 I had the, like, condoms. Where did you get them? Where did you get them? I don't know. I went to get them from like an older cousin. Now we got to have the same talk with your dad that we haven't went in. That was inappropriate. That was crazy.
Starting point is 01:20:26 really independent kid. My parents didn't know that I was dressing up for Halloween. I just, like, got myself dressed and went, like, the school. Because I took the bus to school and everything. Like, my parents didn't see me in. I'm up on a sleeve of comedy. One of my older cousins. And I had a-
Starting point is 01:20:40 Wait, but no teacher, like, the moment she walked in said, like, what the fuck? No. Actually, not. Like, I'm thinking back on it. No, I didn't get in trouble. Nobody called anybody or anything. Like, I just thought about that. Like, damn.
Starting point is 01:20:52 I think my parents saw me after school and was just like, what the fuck is that little girl doing? And like that was it. But I'm thinking back like, damn, I'm over here being Judgey Judy and I did some, that was age inappropriate. But I didn't think so at the time because I just loved. I found Sudafed on me and called my mother. If I would have showed up with condoms stapled to my shirt, I'm going home. Well, to be fair, I went to, I did go to like a school that was majority black.
Starting point is 01:21:17 So they knew who I was the moment they saw me. Like I had like the backwards hat. Like I had the big jersey on. I had the like condom stapled to the jersey. White people know what suit of fed was. It's still an issue. Yeah, I don't know. They called my mom when I came to school with $300
Starting point is 01:21:30 of cash one time. Well, I would call your mom, too. What were you? Mind your business. You don't know what I'm doing on the block. Think about the amount of condoms you can buy with $300. Yeah, mind your business, lady. Mind your business.
Starting point is 01:21:41 Call it my mother for it. That's wild to me. If you guys are Charlemagne and the rest of the breakfast club crew. Did Charlemagne give Envy Dunkie today? I didn't listen this morning, but. For letting his daughter dress up with that? Maul, if I did that, I would expect you to come on this platform and press me about it.
Starting point is 01:21:56 Yeah, of course. Fuck a platform. You would have got a phone call. For sure. But even publicly, I feel like that's something that your co-hosts are. So Charlemagne didn't get them like you today. I don't know. I didn't listen to.
Starting point is 01:22:07 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. That's what's up. But to ignore that and not even bring it up on the show is fucking crazy. And then Envy afterwards posted, I think it was on Sunday. What do y'all fake mad about today or something? To not understand why people are mad.
Starting point is 01:22:24 How tone deaf are you of this entire thing? Yes, people were up. upset. There's a lot of predators on the internet. It's a huge, huge issue that we have right now. Yes, people are upset that a young girl was dressed inappropriately in 4K in a full production and put on the internet. Yes, people are upset about that. I don't think that's crazy to think. Okay. I don't think people are fake outraged about that. I think that's actually something that people would be upset about. For sure. But, you know, again, not here to judge his parenting stuff. So envy, do what you want.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Do you want to judge The consequences of it? Do you want to judge Cam Newton's relationship style? What Cam doing now, man? Violin. Living the life. Fucking wild.
Starting point is 01:23:08 So just for... Living the dream. Just for a backstory, Cam Newton is in a relationship with a comedian, watch Jazzy. They were previously... They've went viral.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Their relationship has gone viral twice. The first time, Jazzy did an interview with Shan Budrum. Shout out to Shan's, our previous label mate. Who? she's our previous label mate she was on serious with us
Starting point is 01:23:32 sham budrum budram i think of did we meet her yes she's in LA yeah we all kicked in LA yeah at our we were up for the award yeah yeah yeah yeah we were familiar that's why I was like who
Starting point is 01:23:43 so when she's cool when she did when Jazzy did her podcast she was talking about how she she does everything for Cam like I think she said like she packs his lunch she watch like rubs his back like she does everything to make sure he's comfortable. She nurtures him. She mothers him almost. She got attacked for that because it was
Starting point is 01:24:01 just kind of like, girl what? Like she went really in depth with it. Girl what? You support your partner? It wasn't just, it wasn't just. You know, you make sure your man is comfortable? You rub your man back at night? Wait, you packed his lunch? Could never be me? She was just like, she was like, she was like, I can tell when he's asleep because I like listen to his breathing. I make sure he's breathing right. I remember that clip. Yes, I remember that, right? She makes sure he's breathing right. Wait, hold up. She had anesthesiologist. He was, okay. No, she got killed for no reason. And this is what's wrong with this generation now.
Starting point is 01:24:31 I fuck with jazz. Did she say she make sure he's breathing right? It was something wrong. No. It was along the line. Don't quote me. Don't do that. Don't quote me.
Starting point is 01:24:37 But it was something along those lines. I know what it was. She was rubbing his back to go to sleep like she does as a good partner would do. And she knows the difference with his breathing when he goes to sleep. Like she'll rub his back until he goes to sleep. Oh, she knows he's sleep. And she knows when he's asleep. Yeah, just like the vibration.
Starting point is 01:24:52 Okay. I thought you said she's like listening to his breathing and make sure he goes. I was like, so you're not going to sleep. You just go sit up and just listen to me, breathe all night and just make sure. How if I've done it? You listen to a nigga breathe all night? Did he have like a bad asthma problem? He had sleep apnea?
Starting point is 01:25:08 Like, you're like, why would you listen to him breathe all night? He was stressed that day. So I was worried about him. So I did watch him breathe for about. Kea knows my breathing with my six hours. What the fuck? What's wrong with that? Nothing, man.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Mom on your side. Just let love win, man. Just let love win. So go ahead. That was the first time. their relationship went viral. Nothing. The second time their relationship went viral is when, remember when Cam was talking to the doctor,
Starting point is 01:25:33 remember that all those clips are going viral about two months ago. Oh, the therapist? Yes, and one of them said that he was like looking for his wife or whatever and she was talking to him about creating broken families and stuff like that. And people were on him like, wait, isn't he with Jazzy wise? He's someone, he's looking for his wife. So this is the third clip that they are now going viral for. You are not going to tell me, you up here fucking one person.
Starting point is 01:25:56 It's nothing to happen. No, no, no, no. See, you're trying to deflect back to me. No, I would never do you like that. I got respect for you. No, here. But you didn't answer that for a reason. No.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Understand this. You didn't ask it for a reason. I'm going to answer mine. Dress like Willie Wonka at the same time. I want you to answer mine too. I will answer it, brother. And I promise you I won't bullshit which. Okay.
Starting point is 01:26:23 Who dresses these guys? How long are you talking about? What do you mean? fucking one person. If we say teenager, how old are we talking about? As long as I've been with jazz, jazz has not been the only person that I've had sex with. I don't know your situation.
Starting point is 01:26:37 But I'm getting personal. Right. I don't know if it's because you want to get, since you want to. Why is it any time men talk about cheating, they fold their legs like that? Hove was with the New York Times and they were asking them direct questions
Starting point is 01:26:50 about lemonade in 444. And I was like, you know, we just had a disagreement at the time. Like, we heard the lyrics. You were fucking other bitches. That's when you're nuts shrivel up. You forget they did. So in one of these clips, in one of these clips, he said, I don't know where it is.
Starting point is 01:27:05 I don't know what part of the interview. But in one of these clips, the part that went viral was that he said that when he cheats, him and jazz go on a walk and she'll ask him, like, what can I do to make sure that this doesn't happen again? Oh, God. Interesting. I'm glad she's taking some accountability. So wait. So she gets cheated on.
Starting point is 01:27:25 Her man tells her he cheated. it. Okay. So there's something honorable there. He's being honest. Right? All right. I'm just saying he's being honest. He's not lying about it. He's being honest. Let's just try to, you know, dissect this. One step at a time. Yeah. So then she says, okay, what can I do? Which means she's automatically assuming that he's cheating because she's not doing something. So she says, what can I do so that this doesn't happen again?
Starting point is 01:27:54 There's a reason he's dressed that way This nigga pimping I know pimping when I see pimping Look at the fit And he's sit with Cory Holcomb Who's one of the greatest comedians ever Who only preachers this type of shit Like y'all have to realize who he's talking to as well
Starting point is 01:28:13 Cam Newton is Cam Newton but Cory Holcomb So Corey's in up there because he's not going to let Cam just You ain't going to bullshit me with the words And you know you got the big ass turkey leg feathering your hat I don't care about none of that. Answer the question. And so Kim answered it. But then Jazz, she responded.
Starting point is 01:28:30 She said, child, here comes to just checking on you DMs. I'm fine. Trust me. I know who and what my nigga is. Ain't no secrets or surprises. He can talk to me about anything. Then she goes and says, why not just be single if you're going to cheat? I feel you.
Starting point is 01:28:43 However, men just be wanting to fuck. Once they do that, they're back to temporarily thinking straight. It's real ghetto out here. I get it. I don't blame y'all for one thing to. to be single. But if you spend enough time talking to men about this topic, you'll see that it's not as shocking as it may seem. Case closed. I'm here to stick up for Jazzy. I kill her. I'm here to stick up for Jazzy.
Starting point is 01:29:06 Explain. I'm here to stick up for Jazzy with this, with this. That other shit going on a walk and what can I do to help you not fuck other bitches? That I, I'm not in her corner. You didn't even like that she was packing his lunch or rubbing his back. I never said I didn't like that. I never said that I didn't like that. She probably cuts the crust off the sandwich. Oh, that's nice. Oh, man. Oh. I could tell.
Starting point is 01:29:26 Tension to detail. All I'm saying is this where she says, I know who I'm with. I know what he does. And more, if you have a conversation with these niggas, more of them. Men are out here cheating, bro. They are. Women too? You can find a man that doesn't cheat.
Starting point is 01:29:40 But we not. I'm just saying, everybody, yeah, people cheat. We got that part. You can find a man that doesn't cheat. And if you find that fucking pot of gold, sit on it and don't move. Right. But a lot of these niggas are all here cheating, especially professional. fucking basketball players.
Starting point is 01:29:54 I mean, football players. So, yeah, she likes it there. Nobody should be checking on her and see if she's okay. She fucking likes it there. She's going to stay and do what she has to do. She like it there. So I don't understand why everybody's like, girl, you need to leave him.
Starting point is 01:30:08 She likes it there. And it sounds like, to Demeris's point, in most cases when men, she, there is no guilt or remorse for it. He's a least willing to. Niggit is not guilty. Shut up, Julian. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:30:20 He's saying they walk on the beach, go, if there's toes. insane. They talk about it. I'm sure she gets a nice bag or two from it. Like I'm saying his guilt is still there on some level that I'm sure she's getting more out of it than
Starting point is 01:30:35 Different strokes for different folks. If this is what makes their relationship happy, who the fuck are we? Yeah, it's none of our business. That's my point. That's why I said I'm Well, I mean, it's our business now because he sat with Corey Holcomb and disgusted. He has a podcast. And granted, even though he was a professional athlete, now he is a media personality so things shift you could have an arrangement with your wife but if you don't have to
Starting point is 01:30:55 talk about it all the time no one's going to know and who gives it fuck now everyone's in their business and i think maybe something could change now that the world knows about it but if that's their shit that's their shit but nobody they're not the only couple pro athlete or not that has arrangements like this yeah it's very it's very common nobody wants to talk about how common it is but it's very common but second of all he also doesn't he has to stop fucking embarrassing her like that that is my stop talking stop talking he stopped talking What if she's not embarrassed? What if that wasn't a forced IG post
Starting point is 01:31:25 and she already knows what type of tomat is? You're right. And also, yes, cheating is wrong, especially if you're lying about it. But if you find the gem that you said, the guy that doesn't cheat, what other weird shit does he have? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Like, that's not the end-all-be-all relationship. I mean, there are just some normal men who don't cheat. I completely agree with you. Yeah. I'm saying, but just because he doesn't cheat doesn't mean that he's like the greatest person. Why the fuck you looking at me? Like, what? Because we're in the same room.
Starting point is 01:31:49 I can't look at it. you? How many you know? I just looked at you. Roy, right there. Roy's weird. He's not normal. I'm sorry. Okay. I thought she was saying something else. No, no, you don't cheat. You're just not normal. Yeah, no, I'm a fucking weirdo.
Starting point is 01:32:05 Bad example. Shit it on my own point. I don't like the laughter here. Could have laughed a long time ago. The laughter has to stop now. Wait. Can we put something in front of jewelry? Do I have to put a specific hat on for you to believe me? Let me fold my legs. I just want to put something
Starting point is 01:32:24 I don't know no no no no no let's do that let's do that why are you laughing why are the jeep so tight I bought these before my dad bod and now my cast
Starting point is 01:32:35 you went to cross your legs and the seam almost popped I think I really just popped a nut just doing that oh that really hurt wow that's funny man shout out to cam man shout out to jazz man
Starting point is 01:32:45 jazz we need more like you just understanding let all right we can make it a pro athlete after he just fucked another bitch crazy I'm not going to She's going to kill camp.
Starting point is 01:32:56 We're going to have another Steve McNair. That's why he wears the tall hat. If she shoots for his head, it might go through the hat. Y'all keep playing. She's jazz trying to be. She's trying to be. She's trying to be calm. Everybody gets to their breaking point.
Starting point is 01:33:09 I'm telling you. We can make it a pro athlete thing. I'm sure this is a pretty normal arrangement with most of the league. Yeah, when you make a hundred million, they get real, they understand. A hundred million, that breeds understand. Women understand when you got a hundred million. Oh, they'll sit down. You're right.
Starting point is 01:33:26 You just under so much pressure. Yeah, it's like, I get it. Y'all went two and O and then you lost three straight. I get it. You wanted some pussy. Like, I understand. Yeah. You saw that 100 million guaranteed.
Starting point is 01:33:36 Oh, man, they're going to understand. I just think it's funny that someone that makes $100 million and everywhere he goes is catered, has to pack a lunch. She just wanted to let you know. She's putting that Ambien in there with that nigga to sleep. So he can't fuck the bitch. Yeah, you're going to eat the sandwich. Yeah, you're going to fuck the night.
Starting point is 01:33:52 going to sleep. Hey, I keep playing with jazz. I'm telling you. That type of patience and understanding it's a fucking, it's a crazy woman by him. You think she has his location? Yeah. She don't need his location. The nigga on TV. She knows he coming back, eventually. Oh, Lord.
Starting point is 01:34:09 Right? No matter what he was doing it on the road, he's coming back home. I'm about to throw up. I'll kill that nigga next Sunday. He'll be back. That's how I'm telling you. I think I'm joking. All right. Keep watching. You don't think this is a, a hell of a little. relationship. No. No lies. Everyone's putting everything. That sounds good, but that's not healthy. It gets, I'm sure it's going to get old after a week. And also just because you're not lying doesn't
Starting point is 01:34:32 mean it excuses. Doesn't mean it's healthy. Yeah, it doesn't mean it's healthy because I'm telling I just nut it on your face. I need cream pyre. I don't think it's all that. I think because now it's put out to the world. Fuck. I think she was doing some secret code with the, are you okay DMs. I think her family reached out that didn't know that shit. That's where things get odd. when your parents are like, yo, what the fuck? No, it's probably girls she follows on Instagram. I'm not saying that didn't happen. But I think now that it's out there, I'm sure her family didn't know that shit.
Starting point is 01:35:00 They know Cam cheating. That's why she said she knows who he. She knows Kim fucking. Her grandmother didn't know that. Granny was a whole too. She knows. What are we talking about here? 100 million?
Starting point is 01:35:12 Yeah, he's going to get some side pussy. The fuck? Is he still playing? No, no. No, no, he's been retired. Oh, so, wait. That's why I said he's media person. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:35:21 He's retired. Yeah, that money's still in the bank, though. Sure. I think his content deal might be more. Yeah. Oh, he still gets checked. And Cam, Cam is not old. Like, no.
Starting point is 01:35:34 He's not retired, like, 70 years old. So what I mean, he's not even 40. Okay, so why, the reason why I think retired is different is because retired, like, you ain't like on the road, homie. Yeah, you ain't got to be away from home. You ain't got, you ain't got to be fucking bitches. Like, it ain't, you go to work like, not. to five people.
Starting point is 01:35:51 Like, I don't, where are you finding? Because now you're searching for bitches. Football is not on the road like NBA players or MLB players. It's once a week. True. It's once a week. Yeah. And you're there the day before you leave that night.
Starting point is 01:36:03 Like, it's way different than NBA players are gone for months at a time. So I'm sure his routine isn't that different. And now that he's got content, he got, you know, he got meetings. Yeah. Meetings. You know, you got to go to L.A., like, got to go. That's where the meetings are. I hate that place.
Starting point is 01:36:18 And nothing is remote anymore. everybody's back in the office. So it's like I gotta go to, I gotta fly out to LA. I gotta actually go to the, to the office. And like so many people then moved to Florida. I blocked out my schedule from 7 p.m. to midnight. Now I gotta go to Miami. For meetings.
Starting point is 01:36:33 No, I go. Like bars to do. Everyone's going to Miami. So that's sports. Yeah. Gotta be there. Pray for Cam, man. Austin, Texas.
Starting point is 01:36:40 Like, I have to stop in Houston. What a life. There was a layover. Yeah, Cam, I did clean up during his playing days. He did sign a- She rubbed that nigga to sleep. $103 million contract in 2015. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:36:54 And let it be known we're only laughing about this because she says she's okay with it. If she was sad and upset, we would not be laughing. Who? Who, yeah. Well, I, fuck y'all. I would not be laughing. Yes, you would.
Starting point is 01:37:06 No, I wouldn't. I don't laugh at women when they're in pain. I'm not laughing at her either. She's a comedian. Yeah. You can laugh at her. It's actually what she would prefer, actually. Wait, so you're saying her IG story was just a bit.
Starting point is 01:37:19 And she really is going to kill him. Jazz will be fine. She got that baby. She still look good. Cam going to be the one crying. I'm telling you. You know how that shit is. Because I feel like if you get your back rubbed every night,
Starting point is 01:37:33 like, and if somebody leave you and ain't not rubbing, dare rubbing your back no more, like, how do you, you know? How you sleep? Yeah. I think Cam Newton can find a woman to rub his back. But she ain't going to rubbing the same. She ain't unknowing to stop because he's breathing. You feel me?
Starting point is 01:37:48 His breathing. That is the crazy. Send the new girl all the jazz IG clips and be like, yo, these are the things that I like. No, he's going to, listen, man, that's, Cam is pimping. He's going to have a new girl coming in and jazz going to give her all the playbook. This is what he like. This is where he. Like the nanny.
Starting point is 01:38:04 Yeah. Offboarding, like, put in her two weeks and train the next one. Some people okay living like that. Like, I think we just got to, we don't understand it because we've never had that. But some people are perfectly fine living like that. Yeah. I'm just laughing because Cam sitting up there trying to sound. intellectual about cheating.
Starting point is 01:38:21 Say, nigga, just say you cheating. Don't cross your legs and wear the big fedora. You're still cheating. Did you keep the ad on when you was fucking there, girl? That's what I would have asked if I was choreocals. That's just for him and jazz. That's their thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:35 You can't do your thing with the other girl. Don't fuck me with a brunch hat on. You fuck the nigga. You over there being raiding. Don't fuck me. You let a nigga hit with a brunch hat on. I never in my fucking life. And a turtleneck.
Starting point is 01:38:46 You see the niggas I date. He was naked from the waist. He just took his jeans on. He kept the turtle. The way people would keep their tims on and fuck, what if he kept his brunch boots? Hey, a nigger keeping the turtleneck on it. With the gold, with the singular gold chain.
Starting point is 01:39:02 Hang it. Like a death row cover. I know Demaris did some sick shit back of her younger days, man. I know she did. I've never fucked a nick at him. Damaris, why I never saw you at Henny Palluza? I'm so mad I never saw her at any of the Henny Palluza. She was there.
Starting point is 01:39:18 I know she was, but I don't remember. She was fighting. That's why. I fought one time I know but one time happened Yeah You scrap Oh that was you at Coney Island going crazy
Starting point is 01:39:29 I thought Was this like backstage? No Roy wouldn't let me backstage that year That's why I got all that shit Well I mean you got in the fight Do we have voicemails? We do
Starting point is 01:39:39 You've got mail Uh remind We do Every patron chair Has access to voicemails Thank you mall Fuck me I'll just play the damn thing
Starting point is 01:39:51 Subscribe to Patreon and you can send a voicemail in and we give you advice. I'm calling today because I used to hook up with this girl in Providence and she was telling me that Rory ended up listening to her school at one point with his frat brothers and they were all at a party
Starting point is 01:40:09 here come to bullshit and the girls were harmonized to the call my news at Johnson and Wales and Rory immediately paused looked at the scene and was like do y'all know they're talking about you. He said the chorus of crew love. Wait, okay, so
Starting point is 01:40:26 I assume this was a Johnson and Wales party in Providence. Crew Love came on and I did what? You told all the girls. You stopped the girls like, do you know they're talking about you? I've never DJed a party. Well, not, you might have talked over to music and was like, you know they're talking about chew, right?
Starting point is 01:40:43 You know how you like to kill a moment? I'm calling Cap. You calling Cap? No, you're a Cap, but that's not. I wouldn't do that. But keep playing. Yeah, that's kind of. the asshole.
Starting point is 01:40:51 This is, yeah, that's not, he's an asshole. Not like that. I would, in college? I was actually probably kinder.
Starting point is 01:40:58 This world has made me a worse person. All right, well, let's hear the rest of it. So my question for y'all is, when was the last time that you were in a situation
Starting point is 01:41:07 where you looked, you had to look at somebody and realize, like, do you hear the words that are coming out of your mouth? Like, like,
Starting point is 01:41:15 you're either being a hypocrite or, you know, you're saying something that's like the antithesis of, like of you or or your situation. So let me know.
Starting point is 01:41:27 I hope you all have a good one. All right. First of all, that question has nothing to do with the first part. I feel like now he just, he wanted to get that story off and then ask a question. He exposed you? Yeah, he was talking about some shit you did. I did not. There's never been a time where I was playing crew love at a party and stopped it and said, do you know the weekends talking about you?
Starting point is 01:41:47 I don't think he said you stopped the music. I think he, whatever girl you were around at the time, I think that's what he said. Like, you turned and looked and was like, do you know that there? I would never do that. Like, there's a lot of things I'm sure, like, certain I would never do. I would never look at a bunch of girls and say, I think you would. He's talking about you with the crew love. Like, I'm not even, like, bold enough.
Starting point is 01:42:08 I'm not too insecurity, even say some shit like that. Like, I'm not even that ill. You would say, I'd probably ask, like, do you guys want a drink or, like, need to use the bathroom? No, you would say, can I get your coat? You would say he shouldn't be talking to you like that. No, I'm pussy. Like, this is, I'm not Cam Newton. I'm the complete opposite of this person.
Starting point is 01:42:25 All right, fan, we call Cap. That story was bullshit. I think he was trying to fish to see if we're Eskimo brothers. That's what I think it was. You fucking a chick that brought me up, and now you insecure. Roy beat your girl and left you a voicemail. I never fucked any girls at Johnson. You can't leave a knick of voicemail if he fucked your queen.
Starting point is 01:42:41 Roy went crazy in Providence. Johnson and Wales is the school he's talking about, where the cap is are. Cross your legs. Go ahead. Tell her story. God now. What happened? I have never.
Starting point is 01:42:54 I've never had sex with a woman at Johnson and Wales. They didn't go to that school. They were there, but they didn't attend the school. But yeah, I'm calling Cap. What's his question? His question is, have you ever been in the heat at a moment with somebody and they said something that you were like, basically like, well, that's rich coming for you. You're describing yourself, yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:10 Yeah. He said, so. And like if you caught. The crew was loving me. No. Roy, just leave that alone. Probably. I'm trying to tie his question.
Starting point is 01:43:19 Just answer the question. I'm sure I've done that in my years of podcasting. I'm sure I've said a lot of things that I shouldn't have been. No, that's not what. Jesus Christ. The question was the question was. Stop laughing, Maul. Roy's so stunted from the first half of this call.
Starting point is 01:43:33 He's so fucked up. He tried to figure, oh, wait, what party was this? And what did I say that? My mind is, I know you. I know what you stuck on right now. Maybe Maul can answer. Have you ever been in a moment where some, thank you? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:43:45 Where somebody says something and you were looking at them like, I know you ain't fucking. and talking like you're literally being a hip-a-old. Okay, then I answered it accurately. I have been podcasting for so long, I am sure. Within the last month, I've thought that about you guys. Absolutely. And things that you guys have said.
Starting point is 01:43:59 For sure. And hotball in the kettle, I won't use the word. Oh, this episode does happen. Did it? I'm not going to say what part. Pussy? I am pussy. Say it.
Starting point is 01:44:10 Yeah, I know. I love them all. It just happened. Which part? Rory. We'll talk about it. No, everyone crossed their left. But Julian is stupid.
Starting point is 01:44:21 Because why you brought that back up? Because it's a perfect fucking instance of exactly what we're talking about. What did I say that you were like, you shouldn't be talking? Nothing. Stop, Julia, stop. I don't have rules with my shit. Y'all have rules. You can say whatever the fuck you want about me.
Starting point is 01:44:41 I don't care. You know if I knew what they was talking about, I would tell you. I don't get a fuck about your feelings. I don't know why. With y'all, it's stipulations. We can't say certain things. Who? What?
Starting point is 01:44:50 What? What? This is another moment. What the fuck are y'all laughing at? Yeah. Julian, stop, man. Go to the next voicemail, though. Go to the next fucking voicemail, please.
Starting point is 01:45:08 Oh, my God. We don't have the edit, buddy. Right, they make it fun of you. All right. Well, Julian, stop, man. Thank God for the edit. All right, here we go. Round two.
Starting point is 01:45:19 Hey, guys. My name is Drew. I'm from North Carolina. And my question today has to deal with does my female co-worker like me. Background to the situation is we work in a small company, very niche field, and I'm in the office maybe once every week or two.
Starting point is 01:45:37 After I became single for the first time in three years, she started asking if she'd participate some of my hobbies, being, I like to go shooting, go hunt, you know, I hunt bears, deer, things like that. You hunt bears? So this is RFK? He was casually saying I hunt bears is. Yeah, hunt bear. If you're a hunter, you hunt anything. Okay.
Starting point is 01:45:59 I've just been a gentleman throughout all, being very nice. But one of my female co-workers who I hang out with her husband pretty often says that she's been flirting with me. And I didn't believe it because, you know, I'm half black. I went to HBCU. I'm still very southern. But she's, you know, southernly yourself. What does that have to do what you're not believing? I think because shortly probably white. She's white. He's saying he's getting into it. She's very white and very southern. But he hunts bears, so I think that offsets the HBCU thing.
Starting point is 01:46:26 Yeah. Niggers ain't hunting beers. That's fair. My grandfather was a hunter and a nigger, but I mean, I get it. He was. That's real shit. Didn't he discover Harlem? What?
Starting point is 01:46:39 I'm serious. Her grandfather discovered Harlem. Shut up. Play the voicemail. He killed all the bears and then took it over. Yeah. Central Park was much more north at that time. He brought it down to 100 first.
Starting point is 01:46:52 Southern Lady herself. Things changed when I went on a company trip, and this lady's friend also works at the company, and she made some comments just about the situation that made me maybe open my eyes to maybe she is flirting with me. I don't really want to press too far forward just because I don't want to be the creep in the office, but I don't know if she does like me or where to go from here.
Starting point is 01:47:22 So any advice would be helpful. Thank you. All right. So two people have come to him that he trusts and is saying, yo, she likes you. She's clearly flirting with you. He hasn't caught those vibes. So she hasn't done anything direct. If you're in the office once or twice a week, I think that's your window to say, hey, we don't see each other a lot. Let's hang out outside the office. And then you get the vibe. He's not being the work group that's there every day hitting on a coworker.
Starting point is 01:47:48 He's there once or twice every week or every two weeks. Yeah, take, I mean, put a 12 gauge in her hand and Yeah, take a, take her hunting with you. Bring her some bear pelt. That's a cool date. Yeah. Bring her a rabbit foot. Yeah, take a girl hunting.
Starting point is 01:48:01 Show her some deer and. Dick Cheney did the same thing with his side chicks. Yeah, take him hunting. What else could he give her? No, no. Go hunt some rabbit or some. Granola. But yeah, ask her out.
Starting point is 01:48:12 He never even mentioned if he thought she was, like, attractive or if he liked her. Yeah, he didn't say anything. That was kind of odd. He just told us about his college career and, like, his big game. I think the assumption that he's kind of tiptoeing around is this girl's very white and not like Waspy White, Southern
Starting point is 01:48:25 White. So I think he's more so surprised that she would even be into him. He's afraid he's going to get mixed. Yeah. He's afraid that her father's going to hunt him. Yeah, yeah, exactly. He's afraid. Paul, Paul don't play that. You're afraid he's going to be a... Paw, Paul. She goes, yeah, he takes her hunting and he gives her, you know, a gun and she whips out a noose.
Starting point is 01:48:43 And then it's like, yeah, you know. Just had to go there, huh? Yeah, it just couldn't help yourself. That felt a little too far. Well, I mean, she could be flirting. to me, her dad. Papa, mad. I don't know. Well, yeah, if you like her, then ask her out.
Starting point is 01:48:55 Like, don't, you know, stop me a pussy. If she don't like you, then you find out that she doesn't want? You're being pussy, he's scared that he's going to get lynched. Yeah, I don't, yeah, yeah. That's right. Damn. Me, this is the South. You can't just ask white women out on the date.
Starting point is 01:49:06 What, black? And he half black, which is crazy. Like, he ain't even full nigga. He half-nigger. He's scared. He could do what Henry Hilden, good fellows. I heard you're half Jewish. Just the good side.
Starting point is 01:49:17 Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he could just, you know. Go all the way with it. Like, oh, I don't identify with my other side. Just ask out, man. But what if it works out and he wants to go to HBCU homecoming? And of course, you've got to bring your girl, like, so she can meet everyone you went to school with.
Starting point is 01:49:33 It's white girls. She can be like one of those white girls that wraps the little baby videos. No, there's not. They ain't going to put fuck up. You don't think it's right girls at HBCU? Put across the up forehead. Yeah, I think it's white girls at each. No, they are white girls like this year.
Starting point is 01:49:44 It's white. Is this the first year? Yeah. No, man. It's white girls. Girl, you're white and then the Divine Nine. Like, you can. see any white girls.
Starting point is 01:49:55 Pretty plain and silly. Yeah, I have all the evidence. No, you saw them. You just weren't looking at them. They weren't at Johnson and Wales. That wasn't the crew I was talking about. I'm leaving it alone, man. I'm leaving it alone.
Starting point is 01:50:06 I'm leaving it. It's just me mature. I can't look at them all. You what? I said, I can't look at you because I'm just going to say it. Yeah, no, don't look at me, Julian. Ask around. It sounds like you got the good, the two good people on your side.
Starting point is 01:50:18 He said, though, the coworker, a girl that's also his coworker and husband. They said the vibes are there. No, he just said some lady that works with him was the other reference, which was weird. That's good enough. I guess so. Ask her out. Go get, what are they getting in the south with some whiskey, some drink? I'm curious what state in the south it is, though,
Starting point is 01:50:36 because that does change things. Like, there's a difference between North Carolina and Mississippi in this situation. Huge different. So the south is not just the south across the board. Yeah, you below the Mason Dixon? Things change a bit. It gets a little different down there. Or, I mean, just go find a nice girl at
Starting point is 01:50:52 homecoming. Yeah. Why not? No, he liked that white lady. She probably got a fatty. She's from the south. Cornbread, fed. You know that shit. He probably be at work. She say she white, but I don't know. Mall, don't piss me all right.
Starting point is 01:51:09 All right. I'm stopping, man. Tickets available now, new Rory Mall.com. We will be in Atlanta, November 22nd. Yes. And then we are here in New York to end out the year December 14th at Gramacy Theater. Get your tickets now. Hope to see y'all soon. You were quite the celebrity in Soho. That was fun when you were Andre 3000.
Starting point is 01:51:29 Oh shit, I forgot about that. That was fun. Oh, we never even spoke about it. Yeah, we never fully discussed that entire thing. That was fun. That was a lot of fun. Chasing down Chris Rock. That was a lot of. Maybe we should talk about on Patreon.
Starting point is 01:51:38 Yeah. We'll get into the entire making of that on Patreon. That'd be a fun topic. That was such a New York clip. That video was such a New York video. Like, that's a day in New York. Just happens to be walking by. If we would have stayed up there another hour and a half,
Starting point is 01:51:50 like the shit we would have saw and did. Like, yeah. That was like 20 minutes of just random corners. It worked out great. It was dope. And we did the most like, on New York thing ever by following him and filming him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:03 So. Nobody even cares. But we'll talk about the making of the Andre 3000 video. Yes. On Patreon. In the meantime, buy some tickets. Be blessed. Vote.
Starting point is 01:52:14 Let's see what this week looks like. Vote. Call me pussy. I'm a little nervous about what this week is going to look like. I don't think we're going to get the official results until like Friday, Saturday. Yeah, they're going to count it up and pound it up. So we'll have a little bit of time suspended. I think we'll have a pretty good idea by Wednesday morning.
Starting point is 01:52:34 Maybe before. Make sure you hug you. I think there was so much early voting. I think this year we might get the results quicker than we've ever gotten election results in our life. I don't know. Historically, what is it? Like, Georgia, North Carolina turn in their ballots very fast. But other states take time.
Starting point is 01:52:50 Like other states don't start counting until. they don't even start counting their early ballots until all the other ballots are in. There's like weird rules. But I think with the records of early voting, it'll be, you know, a bit easier to count the actual voting day. Before we leave, though, we do have to say rest in peace, prayers and condolences to the family of the great, great, great legendary icon, one of our beloved figures in our culture. Mr. Quincy Jones passed away over the weekend. He was 91 years old. If you've ever been into music, into the arts, you've been taught some of Quincy's works and his music.
Starting point is 01:53:32 And he's inspired you in some way, shape, form of fashion. So we lost one of our legends, one of our icons. There will never be another person, another man like Mr. Quincy Jones. Greatest producer that's ever lived. Not even close. Period. Greatest ear. Greatest everything when it comes to me.
