New Rory & MAL - Episode 421 | Maldani

Episode Date: November 7, 2025

It’s a new day in NYC! New Yorkers have chosen a new leader, and Rory and Mal waste no time fantasizing about what a Curtis Sliwa mayoral term would’ve looked like. Michael Jackson’s... nephew will star in the biopic about the King of Pop. This movie better be nothing like that Lifetime disaster. Rory sees right through Jake Paul’s performative outrage after Jake’s fight with Tank Davis is cancelled. We gotta expand our music taste buds, so we give each other homework. Rory, Mal, and Demaris give each other a different artist to listen to…and yes, we will report back on this. Plus, how do you have a successful date when everybody gives you the ick? #volume All lines provided by hardrock.betSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I know that, Greg. We're teaming up on 40s and free agents, the podcast that owns the NFL offseason. This is where teams are built. Free agency, combine, pro days, trades. Every move matters.

Starting point is 00:03:06 I'm any more shots. They're rolling. How many more shots until you're rolling? That's what I said. Oh, okay. That's how I had a touch I was. I thought rolling was like Molly in ecstasy. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I was like a drunk thing. Maybe body rolling because it was like a baby- Or maybe it was like Molly water. Probably. I can see that. How come Blem never hit? So like, we're gonna start, you want to start there? about the songs that should have hit that never hit?
Starting point is 00:03:33 No, I'm, I like the song, Blum, don't get me wrong. Oh, you're talking about the word. Yeah. I mean, it probably is. The same way, like, when Hove said all the shit that we was off, but we just, like, the next day continued to wear it to him? It was not the next day. No, we never wore buttonups again.
Starting point is 00:03:48 No, I'm saying that, that happened. And then Rims went away, but around Blueprint 3, when he was saying all that, can we pull up the lyrics to off that? Jay Z and Drake, everything Jay said, none of us got off. No. Not one of us stopped doing what he said we were supposed to do. Auto tune never died. Auto tune definitely.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Everything he said in Blueprint 3 we continue to do. Go to the hook. Go to the hook. Bring in the hook. Tell her you love her. We off that? I always tell her I love her. We're still fighting in the club.
Starting point is 00:04:23 What club? There's not even no clubs anymore. Everyone is steady chase and fame. No one is off that. That's actually increased. That's actually increased. Hey, hold, the stock on that went up. The stock on chasing, chasing shit
Starting point is 00:04:35 definitely went up. Oversized clothes are back. Chains never went away. Making it rain. Still happening. Is it? I'm sure they're going to go back to the future reboot anytime.
Starting point is 00:04:46 No king walks and asking for a snap. Ain't nobody throwing money in the club. Chris had been gone at that point, so I didn't care. Tim's still there. Rims, I mean, Rims is gone. Tims ain't the way they used to be, though. What do you mean? People are like tying them now?
Starting point is 00:05:01 No, it's just like there's been a... People are tying their Tims. I feel like there's been a Tim decrease. I'm not saying they're gone. You study in the market on it? I just don't... Demaris be counting Tims outside. She's standing at the parking count.
Starting point is 00:05:18 How many niggas got Tim's sold? Oh, go fuck off. She felt that's what Curtis should have ran on. Yeah, Curtis said, it's a free Tim's for everybody. Might have got them in there, man. The energy's already. different in the city. Yeah, man. I don't even, we can talk local now because that mayor race is national.
Starting point is 00:05:36 That's funny. I like that. Hey, Knicks. Hey, I like that. I don't know who in the locker who started that, but I like that. You know I fuck with Jesus and Mero, but I feel like this is something there behind. Because I hated the Tim stereotype that they put on us, but that's sick, man. That's like, that's like some village people shit. Yeah. You know, I like it, though. It's funny. It's, you know, I like it. It's supposed to be, you know, awkward, but I like it. Trying to take the mask away. You don't like it. You don't see the hard hat with the reflective vest. Yeah, but It doesn't look like a real construction worker. It looks like a village person.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah, but that's the fun. You're not supposed to look like a real. It's a Tyler Perry strategy, man. Yeah, you know. Try to get rid of the masculine man. I see how I don't like this. Yeah. Because the Knicks are masculine men.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Yeah. Don't try to dress them like YMCA. Who's the white boy with no shirt on? Is that someone? Who? Tyler Colick. Is he a rookie? Second year.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Second year? Okay. Is he good? All right. I have to check him out. Take your shirt off in the garden. It's funny to me. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Even like as an athlete. locker room. Oh, I just saw the top. I thought that was that the car. They're in the locker room. I thought they were doing the fish eye shot. No, they're in the locker room. So you feel the difference in the energy?
Starting point is 00:06:40 In New York? In the city, yeah. Well, first of all, we are back sponsored by Boost Mobile Unlimited Talk, Text, and that I, fuck, $25 a month. Mm-hmm. Until it's taken away. Until it's taken away. But, yes, we had a big, big day. We've lasted in each other, election day in New York.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I was on the phone with my homeboy, and he said something that was interesting. He said that, he said that there. The New York City mayor may be the second most, I don't know if he said powerful or, he may say a powerful seat behind the president of the United States. I mean, I think your homeboy is, why hasn't Norrie called me? Answer. Like, what? We can always come back in.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Yo, you live on the show right now. So be careful what you say. Oh, fuck. I can give you a call back, bro. Nah, that's so good. I don't mind doing the show. I'm in. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:07:37 What's going on? How ya doing? Can't complain. We were just talking about the mayorial race of your fine city that you left. You left New York before it was trendy. Oh, damn. I wasn't ready.
Starting point is 00:07:53 At all. Yeah, yeah. But, man, that was one of the best films of my life, man. in the New York City Marathon, man. It's the only time I cried when tears didn't come out because I was dehydrated. No, congrats, bro.
Starting point is 00:08:10 That's big, that's a really big thing. You should be proud. Yeah, thank you, man. Thank you, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How ya doing, though? How's everything going with you all, man? We're good.
Starting point is 00:08:20 We're chilling. We just podding every day. Okay, okay, okay. What did I just see y'all with? Who? We had on Miss Pat today. shit, who do we have? Every week is somebody.
Starting point is 00:08:32 I don't know. I'm losing track at this point. Oh, no, no. It was Bryson Tiller. I was just watching you, what? And I was calling you. Yeah, yeah, calling you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:40 That's what I was calling you for. All right. Well, appreciate the call. I'll give you call on, we finished recording there. What? Spill whatever you call for. You stopped him.
Starting point is 00:08:47 He said for Bryce and Tiller, no. He just called for Bryce and Tiller? Maybe you just want to compliment the interview. Yeah. I don't think it was. And we would have cut out any T anyways. I'll call him one. I don't think it was no Earl Greer.
Starting point is 00:08:59 on the other end of that call. Yeah, Norie doesn't really call me with tea, to be quite honest. Like, Norie's actually one of those good people that will call you and be like, yeah, I watch this episode, you guys did great. Yeah. Like, he is one of those people. But as messy as he is. It's the matter.
Starting point is 00:09:12 It ain't it. It ain't it? Because it's not messy Friday. No, we did that last week. Last week we have fun being messy a little bit. This week, this week we're chilling. We're not. The white hands back here and now we're blinded up.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Yeah, yeah, we can. You know, between, you know, that's a, yeah, exactly. What's kind of funny, though, is like, me and DeMaris are the messy ones, and you try to stop us from talking about the mess. So that is kind of weird how that worked out. Yeah, but, you know, it's just, it's different when it's black on black mess. True. Like, black on black crime? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Hearing white people coming out of black mess. I don't like it. I don't like it. I mean, unfortunately, I've made a career out of it. So I understand the cultural culture. Yeah, no, now, like, I've never stayed out of black people's business. You jump head first in the black people's business your entire life. With impunity.
Starting point is 00:09:55 It's an habitual line separate. And had thoughts. Like, yo, you know what? Like, you ain't just come in and chill. Like, you came in. Yeah, you had thoughts. You had ideas. You had feelings.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Like, you know. You ain't just sitting in the cut of chill. Here's what I would have done, not knowing at all what it's like to be like. If I were you, like, you definitely if I were you asking. Why didn't you take life by the bootstraps? Oh, man. Yes, we are all fucked in New York City. Just want to let you all know.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Oh, my God. Ma, please. What are I just saying? We're all fuck. All right. to your homeboy. I don't know about all that, but again, I'm stupid when it comes to geopolitics, but I understand New York City is like one of the, if not richest cities in the globe. But, you know, I don't know if that's the case. There's too many checks and balances.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Like the mayor can only do so much. I feel like the Speaker of the House of Representatives might be. Yeah. But I guess it's because, I mean, no matter where you live, I think in the country, you know who the mayor of New York City is. I think if there's, in this case, yes. I think when 9-11 happened, yes. I don't know if you'd ask somebody in Illinois like who Bloomberg was if they would really know.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Or maybe because Bloomberg ran. He owns half of Illinois probably. You ever seen? Silently, silently. I'm sure a couple of those buildings of Bloomberg's for sure. Absolutely. They just had the CEO of J.P. Morgan
Starting point is 00:11:14 on the news this morning. He just bought, I don't know, like all of downtown or something. Yeah, just over there. I'll take all of that. They're like, well, you work with the mayor? I'm a patriot. Yeah. Didn't even answer the question.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Whatever that fucking means. Whatever that. Listen, I'm a patriot. But yes, there was a lot of energy in the city I saw a fucking I saw an Ack on 42nd in a brand new Honda Civic with BBSs on it
Starting point is 00:11:36 That's how I knew the energy I've never seen BBSs on a Honda Civic before Yeah, things have changed This was the night that happened Yeah And it looked like he just pulled that Honda Civic off the lot Yeah So yeah I mean the energy's here
Starting point is 00:11:49 But we all kind of knew that He was gonna win going into it We felt like We like Curtis Slewa We liked Slewa That was our guy Cuomo, we felt like we, come on, fam, you was just Hansi four years ago. They kicked you out of the governor seat.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Now you're here trying to be the mayor. Like, so, you know, we kind of felt like he wasn't a good choice. But we did like Curtis Lee Wood. But, you know, the people have decided the people have voted. And Zoran Mamdani is the new mayor of New York City. January 1st. In fact of January 1st, 2026. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:12:18 And no matter who you vote, I'm going to sound political here, Roy, okay? Is that fine with you? No matter who you voted for, Mamdani is your mayor. That is true. He's the mayor of New York City, so we all need to come together and help bring this city to a more prominent, more peaceful, more respectful, more loving place than it is today. As far as all the headlines, the last 24 hours of the estimate of one million people possibly leaving New York City, Zoron, you're already doing your job. Thank you so much. Leave.
Starting point is 00:12:49 I hope more leave. Then we get rid of congestion prices. Please, all the million people that are upset and want to get out of here, I'm calling your. Bluff. Everyone on Twitter that said if he wins, I'm moving out of New York City, do it. Leave. I mean, but people have been, Norrie's on the phone. He left New York City years ago. He left 30 years ago. That's what I'm saying. So people have been leaving New York. Like, that's not something. Well, Norie left because he liked Miami, not because. Is that why he left? Because Mayor Dinkins was there. I don't know if that's why he left. But yeah, people have been. That was a different
Starting point is 00:13:16 time. No, I'm just saying. People have been leaving New York. That's not, you know, I mean, I get what they're saying with as far as like people in the top 1%, the millionaires that are talking about I leave and that get taxed that are, what, 42% of the income? They don't even live here. They took up billionaires' row and none of them have even stepped foot in New York City. But they still pay the taxes, though. They have businesses here. They have companies here.
Starting point is 00:13:38 I mean, they have properties here. So, you know, I mean, we'll have to wait and see what happens. But either way, Mamdani is the mayor. And, you know, no matter what happens, we are all going to have to deal with it somehow some way. So let's just hope for the best. Let's go make Delaware popping. No, I'm cool.
Starting point is 00:13:53 No? Nah. I'll be in the street to New York. like Mad Max before I fucking move to Delaware. Taxes are great in Delaware. I wouldn't give a fuck with him. Del State right there. I don't care about Dell State.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I don't get a fuck about none of that. I'm never moving to Delaware. I wouldn't give a fuck of what's going on. Outside of politics, I did send you that snippet of the Curtis Sleewood cat documentary. Yes. I watched the entire thing this morning.
Starting point is 00:14:17 Like you can get the full one, not just that clip. No, I'm cool. For those that don't know, last night I sent more a clip. Curtis Lee were talking to some Brit about, cats and he was suggesting that cats are so powerful that when the rats smell the cats coming
Starting point is 00:14:31 the female rat they abort if she's pregnant if the female rat smells a cat it will abort the pregnancy on its own like it won't go to the clinic like it'll just abort i thought he was putting me on the game i was like word that's interesting so then right before i thought it out loud the lady says well how does the rat perform an abortion on itself like he was like I don't know, but... No, the funny shit was, she asked him initially, and then he started to explain what smelling was. And she was like, no, no, no, I understand that rats and cats can smell.
Starting point is 00:15:07 He kept going like this, the nose. It's in the eyes, chico. It's in the eyes. Fuck all that, Curtis. How does the rat have an abortion on its own? What's fucked up? I don't know if people were trolling me or not, because I didn't reply to DMs.
Starting point is 00:15:20 But when I posted that on my story, a lot of people in my request DMs were like, he's actually telling the truth. So part of me, like, wants to really research that and see. Yeah, we got to look into that. Yo, thinking an abortion would be crazy. Man. That would save a lot of, like, the political back and forth if women could just go, mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:15:36 And, like, it's just, it's gone. That would save a lot. Yeah. If women could just perform an abortion. My mind, my choice. On herself? Or you could just bring a cat around her. Man.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Bring a cat around. The fuck is wrong with you, bro. There wouldn't be a coat hanger in sight. Buy a cat. Buy a cat for your girl. What you're pregnant? That's the baby shower burberry shirt. Your man just bought a cat.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Oh, I know what time it is with you. You don't just buy cats. Yeah, you can only see your man at Petland or Petco. Just in the cat section. Oh, you two? Bump with it to your man at the cat section. It's crazy. Oh, you two are sick.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Oh, my God. It turns out to Dwayne Reed. They lock everything up. It's going to have the cats behind the thing. buying a cat over the counter it's crazy yo give me that anyone just give it to me
Starting point is 00:16:30 show you talking about she late give it to me but then I feel like I would be on the feminist side where they have to pay for birth control and all that shit nah don't put that on my health insurance
Starting point is 00:16:38 I should be able to buy a cat with my Medicaid yeah yeah and then what and then not only that once you buy a cat right we could just share it right like you can stay at your house
Starting point is 00:16:48 but I'm like y'all need the cat this weekend you ain't got to ask me no questions and then there's like the one cat that you're man stole to know this one works. Like that cat has like 17 bodies for sure. All right, man, stop. Stop.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Because we got to cut some of this out. What do we have to cut out? I know because Pete, whenever Pete starts scratching his eyebrows, that means we're on the line. All right. You know what? Let's talk about politics instead. Yeah, let's do that. This is the politics?
Starting point is 00:17:14 The cats and abortions? I thought this was politics. That's what Curtis ran on. Exactly. Anyways, with that said, how was everyone's week? Yo, I heard they popped on Curtis Sleewood downtown. I saw videos with that. knew or was that old.
Starting point is 00:17:27 That's a daily occurrence. Yeah, they was throwing bikes like city bikes at Curtis. All kind of shit. It's Iron Man, though. I'm like, nah. Nothing faces him. I heard the video, the caption said they was mad that Curtis didn't step down. And, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:17:43 Cuomo could have received Curtis's votes. So people started throwing like shit at Curtis. I don't know if that video, because, you know, people find old videos and just put new captions. And he gets attacked every day. So that could be from 2003 for all we know. And that was proven protests happening. It was a protest in the streets for sure.
Starting point is 00:17:58 It was proven wrong easily. If you add up what Cuomo and Sleepwell did, it wouldn't have even beat. So that was stupid. Mom Donnie smoked. He smoked. Even in the cat documentary, how it starts, how he meets the Brit. Yeah. She goes, do you like London?
Starting point is 00:18:12 And he said, well, I was stabbed in the mouth there with a dart. That's how the doc starts. And then he said, but it was great because health care is free. So they stitched me up for free. We should have voted for him, man. We should have put him in. Yeah, man. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:18:28 We missed the opportunity. And y'all talked about his assassination when they tried to assassinate him right. He tried to kill him every week in the 80. You're kidding me? Yeah. And he talks about every day. Do we need to? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Curtis is he ain't, he can't kill him. I don't listen to him, so I didn't know. I just was looking up. Curtis Lee was New York's Chuck Norris. For sure. Can't kill Curtis. We can't hurt him.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Can't kill him. He loves cats. He has my lives for sure. He's going to be right there. He's going to be right there. Don't worry about it. Speaking of inappropriate things, I don't like that when I go viral,
Starting point is 00:18:56 is for the things I go viral for. I wish I could go viral like mall for like liking Pepsi. What'd you go viral for? Getting touched. Oh, that's going to viral? It's on its way. I know that you're in the queue. It's in the queue as funny as fuck.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Once it has that one threshold of retweets, you know it's going to get to the next level of non-pod listeners. That's all it takes. So the people get off work, they're going to start sharing more. It's on its way. It's on its way, right? It's in the Q. It's in the Q.
Starting point is 00:19:29 It's in the Q. We had the hilarious and legendary Ms. Pat on the pod this week. Shout out to Ms. Pat. We love you. Thank you for pulling up. I love the fact that Ms. Pat came. She said, I don't know who the fuck y'all are. That was the best part of her.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I said, oh, this is going to be great. Yeah. I said, because Ms. Pat, I don't know shit about you other than you funny. That's it. And we sat and had a great conversation and it was funny. And, you know, shout out it's mental health month. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Is that correct? Men's mental mental health month. So we were just trying to help Rory. That's, Miss Pat and myself. That was the best way to start it. Yes, we were trying to help Rory and, you know, just show him that we love him and that we see him. He doesn't go on scene and doesn't go and notice. And, you know, Miss Pat did what she could to help Rory get over his trauma.
Starting point is 00:20:11 And she shared her trauma as well. Obviously, Ms. Pat is in a place where she actually laughs and creates, you know, comedy and content out of her trauma, which is a strong thing to do. I will say. I never minded when you guys joked about it until Miss Pat started joking about it because she made me feel seen while laughing. And then I realized you guys don't look at me and just laugh.
Starting point is 00:20:32 No. That's how, I finally was like, oh wait, maybe I shouldn't be okay with how they, because Miss Pat did it with care. Did she?
Starting point is 00:20:40 Like I felt like I was being hugged. Okay. Wow, I was being clamped on. It's the Miss Pat energy. She has that mom energy, that mother, that mother, nurturing energy.
Starting point is 00:20:48 So that's all she was just nurturing you to get over your trauma. Yeah, but it was a great up. It was a great conversation. So thank you, Ms. Pat for pulling up and check out Miss Pat special on Netflix. New season of... Miss Pat settles it.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Miss Pat settles it. She should be out right now, actually. It is out today. So check that out. Shout out to Miss Pat. She said... She has her kids on there. Her fat son, she says.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Man, if Miss Pat is your mom, it ain't nothing. You ain't heard growing up. Oh, for sure. You don't heard it at all. They have to do family therapy. Is family therapy with a Miss Dr. Jen still a thing? I haven't seen it. V820. It's been a while, but I think, I think the dashes shut that one down. I think they have a season
Starting point is 00:21:27 after that, but they're like, no more. We went at the final boss. Yeah, this is it. Therapy's not working. This is it. It's over. But her on family therapy would be fucking hilarious. Absolutely. Would you ever do a reality show like that? Family therapy? Yeah, or there's a couples therapy one that Ghostface did. That was pretty funny. I think that was with Dr. Jensu. That would be interesting. Family therapy would be funny. I don't know if I'd do couples therapy. Family therapy would be way funnier. Family therapy would definitely be fucking hilarious with my family for sure. Actually, we should, I mean, we should pitch that separately with Dr. Jen on our own network.
Starting point is 00:22:04 All of your brothers and Dr. Jen? Yeah. That's a show. That's a fucking soul monster. That's a show. That would be a show. And then just throw Damaris and her sisters in there like by episode three. And if we really want to take it there, bring the dashes back.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Oh, all right. See, now you're taking it too far. Oh, we can really get to some therapy, huh? And then bring the kid that keeps saying, hobs my dad. Bring him on in while we had it. Just bring him on in while we had it, man. Let's therapy everybody, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:22:34 Oh, that'd be funny. Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people. I know what you're thinking. What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim? Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast. I'm Sam J. And I'm Alex English.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s. To be clear, 84's big to me, not just because of crack. I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know. I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now. Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Starting point is 00:24:55 I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history. Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of humanity, the hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll Show, we're not afraid to make me. mistakes. What Kugler did that I think was so unique. He's the writer-director.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Who do you think he is? I don't know. You mean the like the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. The law crusade. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. It was a good one. I like that snake. It is an actual Polish saying. It is an actual poll. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players
Starting point is 00:26:12 and IHeart Podcast presents soccer moms. So I'm Leanne. Yeah. This is my best friend, Janet. Hey. And we have been joined at the Hipsons High School. Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years later,
Starting point is 00:26:23 We're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips, wider. This is a podcast. We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks and drink. Sidebar. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Oh, they had a bogo.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Well, then you got it. Do you want a white collar or something here? Just hit it. What are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? Oh, I would. Come on.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I would buy it. Cut through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake. That sounds. That sounds good. Oh, you're lucky. I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic. You are.
Starting point is 00:26:58 You're lucky I'm not a killer. I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh. Oh. Listen to soccer moms on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramos sending on to Ernie Stewart, the chip.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I'm Tab Ramos. I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balagan. I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions.
Starting point is 00:27:45 If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarter. quarter finals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us. Listen, Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tab Ramos
Starting point is 00:28:09 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. Prayers to everyone that was affected by that plane crash. That shit looked like something out of a Michael Bay movie. The UPS crash, right? Yeah. In Kentucky, I want to say that was. Do you see some of the dash cam footage of one of the truck drivers? That shit like really legitimately looked like it was in a Michael Bay movie.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah, I saw the, they had the footage from, I think it was a UPS driver that wasn't too far from, well, the shit that was right where the crash happened. And when I saw that, that clip, I thought that was AI for, you know, everything now, you got to ask, like, is this AI? You try to look for things in the video where you can kind of notice the AI. But yeah, that crash was crazy. I think it was three or four people on board. Yeah. And then I believe there's like 11 affected on the ground. They don't have all the details yet. They said that the death toll may rise.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Yeah, I mean, I'm sure. I mean, people were near the airport, you know what I mean? So when it crashed like that and how much fuel that thing is out of the gate? Yeah. Nine people remain missing. Yeah. So at least 12 people were killed. And with the conspiracy theory world, the worst thing they have now is experts. Like conspiracy theories have gone to the next level where they'll find. like real pilots to back their craziness. Oh yeah, yeah. Before it was just like my source is YouTube. Now they're bringing on like people with wings. Yeah, like for real. People that work for UPS.
Starting point is 00:29:41 And they're like, listen, that plane could still fly with those three engines. Yeah. And it's like, well, fuck, he's a pilot. He knows. Maybe this idiot on YouTube is right. So that's the scary part now with all these things. Everything is becoming a conspiracy.
Starting point is 00:29:54 But prayers to everyone on top of that. Yeah, that's tragic. Demaris, I know you're tight because you fly out every single weekend. 40 major city air. You know, I'm reading the article right now why y'all was talking. I'm like, that's why you're so quiet. Because you know your next three months is ruined.
Starting point is 00:30:08 You got seven Atlanta trips already scheduled on a Friday. I was looking up like, damn, like, how long would it take like on a train? Train Atlanta is crazy. Last train to Atlanta? Take it a train from Manhattan to Atlanta. You, she loved that name. Midnight train to Georgia, man. Midnight train to Georgia for real.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Is that Gladys? Yeah. Yeah. What? Josh, that was good. Baby D says she was looking at train departures. Yeah. Because this is crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:37 They're about to cut down. No, you're crazy if you take a train from Manhattan, Georgia. 10% of flights. Yeah, that's about to get cut down. That's insane. Especially for, well, I've been flying. Rory, you flew recently when you had to fly to Miami to get on the cruise. How was your experience?
Starting point is 00:30:52 The way back it was trash because you guys got, like, flooded. Like half a bedstike was water worlds. Yeah. So all the flights that were canceled the day before, they put, the day my flight was. So I was pushed back to way, way later. Really? But it wasn't because of this.
Starting point is 00:31:05 It was just because of the weather. Going into the airport, like, I remember I walked in and I called myself, like, catching, like, a quick little frontier flight. Because I bought it last minute when I was going to one. Yeah, that's what they about to cut. I was, yo. They go frontier first. This girl was asking this lady some, because they're not letting you fly without the real IDs either now. That is starting.
Starting point is 00:31:26 They're starting to kick in. Wait, you can't fly without real ID? At some airports, they're starting to, like, not. approve you. Even with a password? No, with the past, if you have a passport, you're fine. But your regular ID, they're giving people issue. It's a legitimate shakedown. They just want you to pay
Starting point is 00:31:40 extra $200 so they can put a different sticker on your license. Yeah. It has literally no purpose. It's just a shakedown. Yeah. So this one girl was like, well, I didn't know this isn't that. And that lady looked her dead on her face. It says, sweetheart, it's 6 o'clock in the morning and I haven't been paid in weeks. I don't give a fuck. Get out of line. And I was like, you know what? It was crazy. I've traveled a lot since they started that and not one time
Starting point is 00:32:01 have I been asked or somebody that was traveling with me and somebody that was coming up from the South didn't have her passport but had the regular ID and called and they were like, ain't nobody checking that shit. They were at that they were. Yeah, I haven't seen it all. I've been flying with my passport since they, I don't even want to deal with that.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Like, I just fly my passport. But yeah, they're cutting. People aren't showing up to work. Nobody's showing up to work because they're not getting paid. So shit is getting delayed. Pilots not showing up. You don't have the amount of people on the airplane. You're supposed to too, it's bad. You could risk it with clear, but then it'd be the one day
Starting point is 00:32:32 that they, like, pull you out for the random check and have to look at your ID. Because I've thought about that, too. Like, if I forgot my ID or something, I'll just go through clear because they don't do that shit. It'd be the one day.
Starting point is 00:32:41 They'd be like, come over here. Let me see your path for it. You know, they don't get clear on the frontier side. I learned that too. I'm like, where's the clear line? They're like, we don't have that over here. Terminal 7 in JFK. I'd never been.
Starting point is 00:32:51 I'm like, that shit is all the way in the back. I had never been over there. I didn't know that shit went up to seven. I saw it was a... That shit sent Far Rockaway? Somebody posted a video of a TSA pre-check line in Houston that was like four hours long. TSA pre-check line. Now you wonder why I was freaking out in the...
Starting point is 00:33:09 Was four hours. That is crazy. But I keep telling people, I'm like, if everybody is getting clear and everybody's getting pre-checked, like, what you think is going to happen at some point? Like, we all going to be on that line. Mm-hmm. And I've been saying that for like the last two is I'm like, bro, I'm not getting, I'm not getting none of that shit. Like, I don't think that it really makes a difference for me.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Like, I think if you flying out of New York or any major metropolitan city, I feel like as long as you get there, an hour and a half, two hours before your flight. If you're flying first class, like, if you're flying like priority, I think you'll be fine. Well, most people aren't. You realize those are the least amount of seats on the plane. I said, no, I'm saying. And if you're flying that, I think you should be fine. Okay, so six people should be fine. I mean, listen, man.
Starting point is 00:33:59 If you ain't the chosen six, then I don't know what I don't know what to tell you. When I, so clear got me because I was running so late for my flight that I was like, just sign me. They were like, well, you can get the free trial for Clear. Just sign me up, bro. Sign me up. Yeah. But then I went to cancel and they were like, we'll give you an extra two months free.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I'm going to take that. But I ain't paying for that shit. I almost got it in. I almost got clear in Atlanta. When he was coming back from Atlanta, I think it was coming to New York. And the airport was empty. I said, you know what, I had. Let me get this shit.
Starting point is 00:34:27 He was trying to scam my eyes. I guess something wasn't working. He turned around and looked at my eyes. I was like, yo, fam, don't look at my eyes like that. He looked at my eyes like he was an optometrist. He thought your eyes were the problem, not the machine. You know, like, what's the fuck you think? What's the eyes you got?
Starting point is 00:34:42 He turned around and looked me right in my eyes. I was like, your fan, back up. Like, why are you looking at you and not the machine? Yeah, I was like, yo, what you're doing? Bro. I said, you know what? Never mind, man. Like the lens, bro.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Yeah, give me my idea. I get out of here, man. He's going to do this to your face. Yeah, like, what the fuck? You want to give me some eye drops or something? I'm like, yo, get the fuck out of my face, man. Listen, I still like the clear pre-check combo. It's laziness.
Starting point is 00:35:01 I don't want to take my shoes off. I don't want to take my electronics out. I don't want to go through the microwave and throw up the rock. Like, I just don't know. I just don't, I don't trust that microwave. I'd rather go through, like, the 1990s. You don't trust them, but you heat your food up in a real microwave. Not really.
Starting point is 00:35:17 I don't really use a microwave like that. Oh, my bad. Oh, you are you one of those people that put your food in the oven to warm it up? Yeah. But you have to, though, depending on what it is. Depending. Most stuff. Yeah, like you can't put everything in the in the microwave.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Like bread, no. Anything that's baked. Bread microwave is crazy. Anything that's baked, anything that's like on that side of anything that's fried, you can't put that in. See, I do air, I do the air fryer for anything. Well, the air fry, of course. That's, you know, that's the holy grill. That's like the top of the totem.
Starting point is 00:35:45 But give it 60 years. World is like Hiroshima. Because of those things. Air fryer? No, just get the stainless steel one. Don't get the... Because that's what it is, right? I mean, that helps.
Starting point is 00:35:56 It's not... Because the other one with that chemical on it, what is it called? I don't know the name of chemicals off the top of my head, baby. No, but it's... Whatever the nukes are made out of. When you have the air fry that has the black, like the non-stick coated... Okay, yeah. That is what they're saying is like, you know, it's not good for you.
Starting point is 00:36:13 But if you have a... They have stainless steel air fryers now where it's just like all complete stainless. Teflon. It's like Teflon and acrylamide. I just don't trust anything that can make food that good that quickly. Like, that's scary. Something has to be wrong there. No. Just science.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Because if you put it in the oven on broil. Science has been fucking us up forever. Broil cook shit faster than the air fire ever could. But broil is just a high-ass. You know, every Thanksgiving, somebody put them rolls in on broil. Let me tell you. I was so hungry one day. I had some leftovers.
Starting point is 00:36:46 I'm like, oh, I'm going to put this in the oven on broil. This shit gonna come out. This gonna taste like R-Rock. Like this shit just came out fresh, right? And I went and took a piss. Went to the bathroom. I'm talking about 40, maybe, maybe a minute. Maybe a minute tops.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I was away from the kitchen. Yeah. And I came back to the kitchen, bro. When I tell you, my shit was completely burnt. Poorly. Mad as fuck. And did you have the thing up top? It was like, it wasn't at the top rack.
Starting point is 00:37:14 It was like the middle. Completely burnt. I was standing there looking at this shit like this. I ought to threw the whole shit out of the window. I had to. A minute? That's it. This shit was on broiled for one, not even a full minute, maybe 57 seconds.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Completely fucking burnt. Everything. When I do the reverse sear broiled for the steak, I don't even, I'm scared to even look away from the other. Like, just one head and your whole steak could be fucking. It's gone. It's over. I am thinking about taking a culinary class, though. Really?
Starting point is 00:37:42 For vegan cuisine. No, for all cuisine. No. Yeah. I just want to lie. I feel like if you, like, if you like, really know how to cook, I feel like you can go anywhere in the world to be fine. Like if you really know how to like cook for real, not just like, I'm going to hide in the
Starting point is 00:37:58 kitchen. I'm talking about you really know how to different spices and things like that and what region of the world these spices come from. And when you one of those, you could, you could land anywhere on the planet. And get pussy. Oh yeah, that too. But and be completely like, I'm good. Like, I don't need, I don't need nothing else. I can. Could you see yourself being like, housewife and cooking for your wife every? Housewife? No, I could never see myself. House husband and cooking for your wife like every day or three, three times a week or something like that.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Cooking for my wife three times a week? Three times a week isn't bad. Every day? No, I'm not cooking for my wife. I'm not cooking for myself. It's every day of a week. If my only responsibility was to clean the house and exist, yeah, I'd take cooking classes and, like, get into it.
Starting point is 00:38:41 And you would cook, you would have dinner on the stove by 7.15 every day. Yeah. I'm envious of housewives. It's not all it's cracked up to be over here. I'd like to stay home. Yeah, but I don't think you would be like everyday cooking? Yeah, what's wrong with that? I don't know about that, bro.
Starting point is 00:38:56 I can't. Not every day. I enjoy cooking. It's like therapeutic. And you don't have to do a whole fucking Thanksgiving meal on a Wednesday night. I'm the opposite. I like cleaning every day. I could clean every day.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Like, I could find something to clean in the house every day. I do clean every day just to keep my house from falling imploding. But cooking, cleaning every day. You say it's easy to you do. I would have a plan. A platinum Tumblr account. I would be the best DIY person.
Starting point is 00:39:23 I'd just be building shit in the house. I would have so much fun as a house husband. So much fun. With Amara as well? Yeah. Okay. She'd be able to, she'd be fucking Beethoven by now.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Piano lessons and out? Hell here. Yeah. Maybe you should switch with your boyfriend for like a week and just see. Let him cook every day. Anyway. Damn.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Cam Ryan. I mean, she's taking a train. to Atlanta. But first of all, don't shame the train thing, pause. That's on my bucket list is to do like a train ride for like a week.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Like with the cabin and I probably want to do it in Europe. I don't think I'd want to do it in the States. But that is something I want to do. Where you want to travel to? I mean, algorithms have fucked up all our brains. I clicked one Sweden thing.
Starting point is 00:40:13 That Sweden train ride to fucking Norway or whatever the fuck it was is beautiful. That shit looks like. like Harry Potter and the Polar Express. I would love to do that for a week. How much is the Oriental Express, Josh? That just feels racist.
Starting point is 00:40:27 I don't know why. Yeah, I feel like, I don't know. Why is that right? Oriental is racist? It wasn't what? Jesus Christ, we can't say anything anymore. No, I think Oriental rugs. The mayor of fucking New York is a Muslim.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Like, we can't say Oriental? Jesus Christ. Saying you can't say Oriental, Jesus Christ is even funny. Starting price for luxury overnight journeys range from 3,700 to 9,000 per person. Yeah, like I want to ride the Wild Wild West train. Look at that. Like that's like a, that's like riding in a museum. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:02 No, the ones in like Finland and all that are similar to this. I think that would be really cool. And like they got the big ass windows so you can see like all the scenery and shit. I would like to do that. I know somebody, I wouldn't say names on air, but somebody rented that entire Oriental Express for somebody for their birthday. For how long? A couple of years ago.
Starting point is 00:41:24 I don't know. I don't know how long, but I rented the whole Oriental Express. And I just traveled on it, I guess. What's the route? What's the route? Like, it hits, like, all the Oriental countries, or? It's the Orient Express. Stop saying Oriental.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Oh, it's the Orient Express. I'm sorry. I stand corrected. Thank you, baby, Dee. Thank you for that. Okay, so it starts in Paris in. it can end in Istanbul
Starting point is 00:41:48 Istanbul And Budapest It stops Yeah this would be fun For Wait for 3,700 You could do this whole route I mean they'll probably put you in like
Starting point is 00:41:56 The cooked quarters You'll be sleeping next to the potatoes But it's okay But I'm sure that would be 30 seven out of it to get you in the kitchen No worry I'm like all right I don't want to sound like
Starting point is 00:42:07 Mall with the first class thing But if you like really really budget For like a year You can make it happen 9000 for like the biggest one And this is like a month and some change type of thing, that wouldn't be a bad, like, vacation. If you saved for a couple of years, that would be a cool 9,000 to spend, I think.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Yeah, for sure. You're checking off a lot of places and taking your time, too, not just flying. And not only that, just the memory of just being able to say you experienced that and you've done that is like, that's what it's really about. Like, you live with that. You have obviously pictures and videos, like just the landscape of traveling through those different, you know, places is like, That's movie shit, man. Yeah. The shit you saw in movies growing up, like, so.
Starting point is 00:42:48 And I think that's something I want to do for sure. If you had, like, one of those great three-month relationships, this would be great. Oh, man. Like month two. So you have the first one to like, you know, at least a five. But you can't do that. No, no, because that's too much. You're setting the bar too high.
Starting point is 00:43:00 You take home to Oriene Express in the first three months you're dating? No, it would be month two. And we would have month three to just decompress and just let it fade out and never speak to each other. There's no way you're taking a girl on the trip on the Oriennexx. and think that you're getting rid of her. The three-month relationship with both parties are aware of what this is. She's not leaving, bro. There's no way.
Starting point is 00:43:22 No, leave her in Budapest. If a girl took you on the Oriente Express. Tell her the wrong time to come back to the train. If a girl took you on the trip on the Orienne Express, you wouldn't leave her. I'd be a house husband. Exactly. You would not leave her. You would be over there cleaning that girl bathroom.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Three hives and a cot. Yeah, what? I'm not never leaving you. Crazes girl took me on the Orient Express. I'm never leaving. It's been plenty of girls that have done nice shit for y'all that shalt have had no problem. A girl ain't never took me on the Oriane Express. She may have took me on the D-Train.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Yeah. She may have took me on 50-tri-strip. She's a nice white because I couldn't reach my wallet. Yeah. Orienne Express, no. Y'all have had women, okay, not the Orients Express. But y'all have had women do really nice things for y'all that. Yeah, but I ain't asked you to do all that.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Really nice. All right. All right. I'm just saying, what's really nice thing? What's really nice to you? The Orient Express is really nice. This is the bar right here. Yeah, this is the reason.
Starting point is 00:44:15 we pulled this map up, baby, Dee. I don't know. Just something very thoughtful and very like, okay, she pays attention. And you've had women pay attention to you and you, are you with them currently? No, I'm single, baby, Dee. Everybody's not in love. And during this holiday season. You know, this is the most traumatic and depressing time of year for a single black man in America, right?
Starting point is 00:44:36 I'm depressed. Men's mental health. You ain't depressed. Yes, I am. You looking at. Better help. Everybody is depressed right now. Everybody is depressed.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Everybody is depressed. food stamps gone, yeah. I never had food stamps. Can't miss what you have. Oh. Never had. Food stamps are gone? Your niggas ain't getting any food stamps right?
Starting point is 00:44:54 Where are you doing, bro? Jesus Christ. Yeah, see. I didn't know like that's who's voting for Mom Dhani. See, these are the ones that's voting for Mom Dane even know what's going on. Because I'm about to get a corner store I can just walk in and take shit. And then get on the bus for me and go home.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Get on the bus for free. Take everything for free. Take everything for free. I'm in great spirits. prostitution is legal I saw a chick last night She said, All right, now look, I'm about to test this shit
Starting point is 00:45:19 Because y'all took my snaps So if I go out here and sell some pussy And y'all lock me up Somebody's lying Gotta wait till January 1st Oh, New Year's Eve is gonna be lit Oh my God When that ball drop at midnight
Starting point is 00:45:31 I think we're gonna get Pussy is legal I think we get peep shows back in Times Square Ooh I think we bring those back Move the M&M store away Yeah let's get rid of the Yeah, we don't even eat M&Ms
Starting point is 00:45:41 No one Let's get that out of there Let's just put a bull brothel put like moulon rouge right there where the m&m stories in time square yeah let's look at the women in the window like it's it's the red light district in amsterdam and let's just sell pussy in Manhattan again i think that's what will help bring back the the vibe in new york city or the broadway shows could do moulon ruse live but then it also be real like you know the intermission they have like the snack area yeah like you could go get you could really go back the sex yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:46:07 in the 20 minutes before fire and then little kim could get a residency as as what was the song that they all did for the soundtrack. Lady Marmalot. Yeah. Come on. We got to get that back stream into the charts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:17 They deserve it. Yeah. Who else was on that record? Christina Aguilera, Pink. Maya. That was a classic. Oh, that video when I was going through puberty. Low Cam.
Starting point is 00:46:27 I had to put a textbook on my lap. Was Missy in that? Yes. No, now we're just naming. There wasn't 30 people on this song. Every single person we named was on there. I don't think Missy was on there. I don't think Missy was on there.
Starting point is 00:46:39 I think Josh's favorite rapper of all time. His favorite is Missy. Oh. Missy does talk on it. She probably produced it. Oh, I can see that. Yeah, she probably produced it. Josh and the Rolling Stone. Yeah, Christina Aguilar, a low Kim, Maya, Pink. Oh, Missy's not on it, though? Missy's not on it, no.
Starting point is 00:46:54 She did like her little intro the way Timela used to. Did she produce it? She had to produce it. I doubt it. You doubt it? She produced every fucking thing back. Especially at that time. But yeah, either way, this might be the best New Year's Eve that we've ever had. I'm looking forward to it. I haven't been outside in a very long time with New Year's Eve, but that could be it for us. You are not going outside.
Starting point is 00:47:15 We might have to, just to see, just to see what the energy is. Just to see. Listen, I'm a guardian angel. I got to take care of the prostitutes that are now available. I love how the guys from the Bronx just ride around and be shooting in the air on New Year's Eve. Gotta love that. No?
Starting point is 00:47:28 We don't have to love that. No, we don't love that. But they don't be shooting at people. They shoot in the air like fireworks. I've never seen anyone driving around do it. I've seen people like in courtyard areas do it. You just be driving just like this? Wait till this new year's.
Starting point is 00:47:44 Wait till you see how you ever see how Muslims celebrate weddings? The people that usually let their guns go off in New York City at midnight are not the Muslims. Until you get a Muslim mayor. That's not how that way. Whose job takes effect at the strike of midnight December 31st. This is about to be a legendary new year. The strike of midnight. All right, man.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Fuck it, man. Fuck it, dog. Listen, man. All right. We're going to see it. We just go. Let's just see what happens. That's all.
Starting point is 00:48:12 I bet nothing changes. Well, I'm on that side, too. But, you know, hey, second biggest position in the world. Second most powerful. Powerful. In the country, not the world. They regulate in St. Louis? No, but I mean, you know, it's just the biggest city in the world.
Starting point is 00:48:30 So, you know. Stupidest shit. I've ever heard. Yeah, but everybody knew who he was. Listen, man. Eric Adams. Do you guys see his, it wasn't even his speech. They just called him, I don't know, walking out the,
Starting point is 00:48:43 hookah lounge or something. He was like, finally, I could go to St. Barts without y'all breathing down my fucking neck. Eric Adams can't wait to spend that money he stole. And the fact when he was campaigning of how much he cared about New York City and this job, he would never leave it. It's all he lives and brings in. He said in that interview, said, I would have to be retarded to want to take that job again. Yeah. We'll never see Eric Adams in New York again. Ever. It's over. That's not a bad plan, man. Four years, get 10 mil, and just go retire?
Starting point is 00:49:13 And you got one of your chicks, a quarter million dollar job? Yeah. Just go sit down somewhere. Resourceful. Did you see on Cam Ron's show he was asked about the J. Cole lawsuit? I did see Talk with Flea with Cam and Sin City. Sin's great on that show, by the way. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Because you guys did cover it when I was gone. Yes, we did. But I thought it was very funny that Cam just sat there quiet on a podcast. Mm-hmm. One like this. I mean, because he can't really... Pending litigation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:49 He shouldn't be talking about it. That is fair. Right. I mean, where do you guys stand on it now? Now the time has passed a bit. I mean, like I told Baby D, if Jay Cole hadn't... Assuming that this is real, I think that it is real. It's real.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Assume that it's real. I think that it's just a thing with Cole just, you know, isn't, I guess, if it's Cole directly responding to Cam or if Cole's people have not been responding to Cam, I think that Cam was left with no other, you know, no other angle here other than to take it to court. Yeah, I don't think Cam is the wrong. So, I mean, you know, if he did that and, you know, obviously he did the verse, if Jay Cole said he was going to do something a lot of time has passed and there's no communication, I think Cam's
Starting point is 00:50:37 like, all right, well, shit, I don't know. I try reaching out and not getting no response. My people reached out, no response there. So we got to take this thing to the courts, and you know, you got to respond when the courts contact you. So, I mean, I guess I'm not shocked because this is all going to happen behind the scenes. But Cole seems like somebody that would try to like nip this in the above right away. Like he would call Cam after that whole thing happened and would be like, yo, my bad, been busy with this. If someone didn't get back to you, let's resolve this.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Not because he was scared of any loss or anything, just because I think that's the type of guy he is. I want them to have this conversation on Cam's show. I think that would be the best. Just get rid of the lawsuit and just have the two of them talk on the show about how it even got to this and open up and talk about their feelings. Well, I do think Cole planned on doing, I don't know if he was planned on giving Cam a verse. I don't know what he would be giving Cam a verse for. Well, the rumor was that Cam didn't want the verse swap or not really verse swap, but he used the I'm Ready B instead of getting any pub. he was supposed to do Cam's show.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Yeah. And then someone from Coles team initially had said that he was taking the year off, wasn't doing interviews, and then he did Yadi's podcast. And it was like, oh, okay. I get if you weren't doing any interviews. When you come back around, I understand do my show first. Yeah. But then you just did Yadi shit.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Yeah. I would feel the way to. Yeah. So I, but I think it would be fine if they just speak. But I don't think Cole is going to do any, he's not making any appearances on any. Because that, the Yadi thing was, that was before the beef, right? Yes. So I think post the whole beef thing, I don't think Cole is doing any.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Yeah, it was. Yeah, I don't think Cole is doing any interviews on any platform until the album is done. And he's ready to put it up. I don't, I don't see the reason that he would even make any appearances anywhere until the album is, you know, ready to go. I get it. Well, I think he should go to Cam first and just resolve this between the two of them. Yeah, that would be a good, cool conversation to watch. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Where do you stand on the Michael Jackson trailer that just came out supposed to be released? I haven't seen it either. April 24th, 2026. Who's playing Michael Jackson? His nephew, if I'm not mistaken. Okay. Keep my family. I watched the trailer.
Starting point is 00:52:54 The trailer is very good. I'm nervous. I'm not going into it like in a pessimistic way, but this is like, this is a lot of pressure. The greatest artist of all time. Like telling this story on the big screen with the right budget, with Lionsgate, Like, there's no excuses. This isn't the, uh, the FX-on-Fu-Qua? Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Oh, yeah, no, no. They got the names there. All the right pieces based off the trailer are there. They have no excuse. This isn't the Lifetime version. This is it. This is the real, no pun intended. This is the real Michael Jackson movie.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Jafar Jackson, who is the son of Jermaine Jackson and Alejandro Genevieve. So, Jermaine's son. All right. Well, he got big shoes. I mean, you know, his uncle is, is who he is Yeah, man I don't know
Starting point is 00:53:43 It looks I mean look They got the right people in it Yeah I just didn't This is Man who's playing Janet Yo
Starting point is 00:53:51 This ain't See what it says You see what it's called Michael They got everybody Listed But who's nobody They don't have it
Starting point is 00:53:57 Is anybody Playing Janet That's all I'm saying I'm definitely Going to see that Inamax Yeah Kidding me
Starting point is 00:54:03 Definitely going to see that See we With technology We've spoken about it Before Movies like this Now you're able to kind of implement the technology and the AI shit in film to where you can have like, yes, it's not Michael, but like you can use Michael dancing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Kind of AI, you know, his nephew's face. In certain scenes, certain shots, there's a way I think with technology that, you know, will make this movie even, well, the story more incredible than it is. I love Lorenz Tate playing Barry Gordy. Didn't Lorenz, what other Motown-esque story was he in? Wasn't Lorenz Tate in one of those? Why do fools fall in love? Yeah, he played, he played Frankie Lyman. Frankie Lyman.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Derek Lucas, Johnny Cochran is very funny to me. I don't know why. He'll probably smoke that role, but playing Puff and Johnny Cochran is just a funny thing to have on your room. He along is playing Miss Jackson. Mm-hmm. And Coleman Domingo is playing Joe. They keep, this is... Why they keep casting Coleman Domingo as like an abusive?
Starting point is 00:55:09 Oh, no. He played Mr. He played Mr. He played Mr. in color purple. Like, what's up? Coleman Domingo's
Starting point is 00:55:17 coolest shit. Like, why did he keep casting? You know what? I don't like about every movie they cast Joe Jackson and they keep making him dark. Joe Jackson is a light skin man.
Starting point is 00:55:28 He looks like goddamn, what's his name, Maine. The dude always say Maine. Terence Howard. He's like his color with light eyes. Why do they keep casting him as like a dark skin?
Starting point is 00:55:39 Black Man. And why didn't they cast Terrence Howard as Joe Jackson? Because that would have went right to the box office. You know what's so funny? Is that Terrence Howard? That would have been funny. Terrence Howard plays one of the brothers in the TV one. Yeah. Oh yeah, it's right. Yeah, one of the brothers. You know, that TV one, that was, was that Lifetime? I don't know who. I think about an ABC or something like that.
Starting point is 00:56:01 That was bad. Perfect. Bad. What are you talking about? What's like the Jackson five? The Jackson five. What's the other Jackson one that they meme up all the time? No, you're talking about when Flex Alexander played Michael Jackson. Yeah. Come on. It was absolutely horrible. Like, growing up, I thought that that was like a skit. I never knew that that was a real movie.
Starting point is 00:56:21 I've never seen it. But yeah, that was sick. But no, this is, I think this is going to be good. I remember the rumor being the gentleman that played Michael on the Broadway show that, like, was revered. I thought he was going to be the one to play Mike for this actual movie. but yeah, I didn't know it was going to be like a nephew. Yeah, no, the Jackson, the American Dream. Yeah, that's amazing.
Starting point is 00:56:45 That's the best. Yeah. I watch that every year when it comes on. It should be coming out soon. The actor that played the Young Marlon Jackson on that series just passed away. Oh, really? Floyd Rogers, Myers, I believe his name is, Jr. prayers and condolences to him and his family.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Yeah, I read that last week. Jason Weaver, who played Young Michael. he posted it um shout to jason weaver that's fan right there he posted um a tribute to him on his page just on saying his condolences and i saw that i was like damn but yeah that that jackson american dream uh series is one of the best series i think that we all watch every year whenever they whenever that is i'm watching it like i've never seen it yeah you know holidays coming up they play that and harry potter just on repeat yeah what what station they play harry potter on Every station
Starting point is 00:57:36 HBO plays at 24-7 And then Usually ABC Do you You still watch the Christmas story every year No I never was a Christmas story Cap
Starting point is 00:57:47 On the white side We watch the one where Tim Allen Just like become Santa Santa Santa Claus right Is it called? Is it Tim Allen?
Starting point is 00:57:56 Yeah It's Tim Allen Yeah And the whites like we That's our shit We love that one And elf Home Alone obviously
Starting point is 00:58:03 Of course Yeah That goes without saying. Has Mike's nephew ever acted before? Is this his first time? He's probably acted like his uncle a few times around the house. I'm sure since birth. My uncle was Michael Jackson.
Starting point is 00:58:15 I've definitely acted like my uncle a few times. I mean, but listen, O'Shea Jackson Jr. did great as Q. And that was his first time acting. He did a great job. Oh, he's a singer. He sings. He's covered songs. I think everybody in the Jackson family sings.
Starting point is 00:58:30 Yeah, he's cover songs by Sam Cook and Marvin Gay. We know Joe's program. out. You think his great kids are any different? But that bloodline they still get up and got to get in the liver room
Starting point is 00:58:41 and get that routine together. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're not fucking around. Don't keep this thing going. Keep this train going. No, I'm excited to see it. I'm not going to go in being pessimistic,
Starting point is 00:58:51 but this is a lot of pressure. It looks great, man. It looks great. So I didn't even know they were making this movie. You know how you hear about movies that's happening? I had only heard
Starting point is 00:58:59 because of the Broadway show. I had heard that that guy that was playing Mike on Broadway was going to play him in the actual movie. I think Aunt Clements had told me that or somebody. I don't want to put that on him. So I knew there was a movie being made. Did Jafar play him on Broadway?
Starting point is 00:59:12 Is that the one who played? No, no. Okay. No, he didn't. But yeah. Shit, the only other movie I'm waiting for now was Jamie Fox, the Mike Tyson movie. When are we getting that?
Starting point is 00:59:24 The pre-in-the-per-dain-hear-by- crazy. Wasn't it like two years ago? Two. It might be more than that. Well, don't do that. Because we got the Andre-3-3-3-3. in a Jimmy Hendrix trailer for about 15 years and never got it.
Starting point is 00:59:36 The Jamie Fox Mike Tyson movie initially planned as a film has been retooled into a limited biographical series titled Tyson and is expected to release in 2025 or 2026. Okay, so they have a month. So, so Netflix, they have a month. While early reports from May 2025 suggest a late 2025 release for Netflix, more recent news indicates the project has shifted to a limited series format with a 26 release date mentioned in some posts. Okay, so next year, hopefully.
Starting point is 01:00:08 I'm actually glad they took some time because did you watch the Mike series on Hulu? Yes. Take some time in between those. So they're not like, because they did a great job. Yeah, they did a great job. Yeah. If you did the movie and that series at the same time and both are dope, like, I think it takes away from it.
Starting point is 01:00:26 Speaking of which, y'all sent something to the group chat about Jake Paul and Taint aren't fighting anymore? Jake Paul versus Taint David. has been canceled. Jake Paul announced it a few days ago. And he had some things to say about, in regards to Giovante Davis receiving a lawsuit. Something like that, yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:50 So, yeah, so he decided it would be best to back out and not have Tank on his platform. And, I mean, you know, listen, you got to understand people, protecting their brand and don't want certain things affiliated if Jake Paul is, you know, one of those guys who he doesn't want to be a part of that. It doesn't want anybody that has any of that type of shit attached to them on his platform. It doesn't want to break bread with those people.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I mean, salute to Jake for that, man. But we got to see what happens. I feel like Tank is always in some type of shit with women and domestic violence. But I never hear anything like the cases, they get dismissed. they get thrown out like yeah we never hear anything had like he obviously has never done any has he done jail time behind any of these i don't think so because you never know what boxes like until they fight and you don't know what they're doing in their personal life i mean we know floyd sat down for it floyd did yes he had to go to uh think he did a year's um but i don't know
Starting point is 01:01:49 if tank has ever been because this is not the oh he has served jail time okay 44 days in 23 okay what was that exactly for though was it for domestic violence uh let's not just say it terms of his 90-day house arrest for a 2020 hit and run. So that wasn't. Okay. Nothing to do with domestic violence. Yeah. Clear that up.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Well, and he was charged with simple domestic battery. When he, with the mother of his daughter, he grabbed her by her neck and pulled her out of her seat during a charity basketball game that people saw. Okay. Well, then. Yeah, we saw that. Then, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:21 So I feel like, you know, unfortunately, this is something that follows tank and he seems to always have to deal with these, um, these type of things. And yeah, and Jake Paul didn't want to, he didn't want to be a part of it. He didn't want to, you know, platform anybody that has that type of shit. Well, didn't that video come out before they announced the fight? Yeah, that video was years ago. That was years ago. So now all of a sudden you don't want to platform?
Starting point is 01:02:45 It's a new lawsuit that just, that's just. I'm not saying Jake didn't make the right call, but I'm, that video, that video existed. You know how that guy. Okay. I mean, I guess this is more recent. Again, this is what, this is Jake Paul's words. is what he's saying is the reason to cancel the fight. Because the fight was supposed to be, what, next week?
Starting point is 01:03:04 The 14th, right? Yeah. But even then, like, the promo that both these guys do for their fights, respectfully, has been way crazier than this. I can't believe that fight was supposed to be next week. I kind of forgot about it. So, you know, he had his words as he said, Javante Davis is an actual walking human piece of garbage.
Starting point is 01:03:21 Working with him is an absolute nightmare. The unprofessionalism, the bizarre request to showing up hours late to shoot, to the numerous arrest and related accusations and lawsuits. If you support this man, you support the most vile sin a man can commit. I didn't want to give this woman abuse a platform to grow his fans and to grow his bank account. My company champions women. I'm so sorry to everyone involved. Mostly to the undercar fighters to my team and MVP into my team who works so hard prepping this fight.
Starting point is 01:03:50 It's scary that devilish men like this can rise to the top of coaching and sports, including the positions of power. I hope you people move forward. but looking beyond his fake streetwear pieces, swag, and search of something deeper to be a fan of. That's bullshit, though. Devonte Davis has been had plenty of domestic violence, like accusations, charges, incidents with his bay mother. This is not new.
Starting point is 01:04:12 This is not new, but this is a new thing that's happening. Paul said, but to go off what Demerich said yet, there's been plenty of that before that Jake Paul was aware of, as well as people that both the Paul brothers have fought in the past have had convictions of it as well. And I'm not taking away from how he feels here or the severity of any case that is going on with Tank or any of the other people that the Paul brothers
Starting point is 01:04:35 have fought with the same exact charges. I think a huge part of this decision was that the promotion was ass. I don't know how. Maybe it was because of Tank's unprofessionalism. But I don't think Netflix or the Paul brothers are taking a risk based off their resume with Netflix
Starting point is 01:04:56 if this is an under-promoted fight. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not jacking that. I don't give a fuck I forgot this was even happening. And you would have remembered as soon as that the day came and they said that's the fight that's coming on tonight,
Starting point is 01:05:07 you'd have been tuned in like the rest of it. But that's because we are over consumers. Like you and I will be on time and like, oh shit, I forgot about that and click it. That's not how the rest of the world works. That's not. Something like this with Netflix and Vegas and everything that surrounds this
Starting point is 01:05:22 needs the casual. consumer, which takes a long time to get to with promotion. This is the most under-promoted Jake Jake Paul fight I've ever fucking seen. Now, that's a different. Now, that's a different statement. You can say that this is the most under-promoted, but I promise you, this is just like a Drake or Beyonce album. You could drop this shit at midnight and niggas is streaming the fuck out of it. I don't go fuck. What promotion you're talking about? Tank Davis and Jake Paul fighting, I don't care if you hear about it 30 minutes before the fight. In 30 minutes, you turn into Netflix. I think there's, from the gambling side, from tickets, from buzz, I think there's a world that we don't understand because we're not part of it with the boxing promoting world.
Starting point is 01:06:00 And I think they probably had a different feeling of the energy around this fight compared to every other fight that they've done. Oh, no, but he's a little. He spoke to that in his statement. He said, so I'm not, my brand is way too valuable and doesn't have a blemish on it if you go through what the Paul brothers have fucking done in the last decade. Right. Like, they have not missed. They're not going to sacrifice that for Tank Davis that doesn't want to promote a fucking fight. Yeah, but again, I, he addressed that.
Starting point is 01:06:27 So that probably- I just think it's more of that than it is everything he said afterwards. That's all. Okay. Didn't they fight Mike Tyson? Yeah. Yeah, so they don't give a fuck about any of that shit. Let's just be honest.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Like, what we're doing? You don't give a fuck about none of that domestic violence care about women's shit. Yeah, so now he's going to fight Nate Diaz. I don't think they've given a date, but obviously Nate will promote that. And, you know, I think it'll be an interesting fight. Ain't going to do it. Him and Tank would have a date? Absolutely not. Nate Diaz is popular, but obviously it's not.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Yeah. With Tank. So at this fight, I'm going to watch it. I'm not. Really? You wouldn't watch Nate Diaz? I don't want to see this again. It's their second time fighting, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Yeah, I don't want to see another part two to that shit. I mean, shit, outside of everything we just talked about, I am happy this fight was canceled, though, just for the sake of boxing. I was really curious to see them. Yeah, like, I wanted to see. That's the fight. That's the fight I wanted to see. I wanted to see if Tank was really going to go in there. And really, because Jake Paul's not no, he's not a small guy.
Starting point is 01:07:35 We broke it. When they announced it, we did a full breakdown from their reach to everything. I'm with y'all. I just think Tank being in his prime against a YouTuber, not taking away from Jake Paul, he could whip a lot of people's asses. a great boxer, but he's still a YouTuber first. To me, that was kind of, we're now crossing the line into the boxing world. He fought a lot of people that weren't in their prime. Tank is in his prime.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Tank should be fighting people in his prime that are in their prime or his peers within the professional space. So who does tank fight now? I was just trying to ignore people. He just fucking stupid, man. He's just stupid. Who does tank fight now? It's a good question.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Crawford? Make the most sense. That'd be one of the biggest fights ever. Yeah. It would make the most sense. Yeah. I mean, Jake Paul, who does he go on to fight? Sugar Ray Robinson?
Starting point is 01:08:28 Nate Diaz. I'm saying after this part two. Sugar Ray Robinson. That's hilarious. Well, yeah. That Nate Davis, Nate Diaz won. Yeah, that'll be one of those that you'll need to remind me and I'll click it. Anybody watch.

Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
Starting point is 01:12:03 waxing all about crack in the 80s. To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack. I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know. I mean, at this point, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now. Thank you for finishing that sentence. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:25 I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Here, the Nick Dick and Poll show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Coogler did that I think was so unique.
Starting point is 01:12:55 He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know. You mean, like, the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. The law crusade. God, I love that thing.
Starting point is 01:13:10 I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. It was a good one. I like that snake. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual Polish thing.
Starting point is 01:13:24 Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick Dick and Poll show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHart Podcast presents soccer moms. So I'm Leanne.
Starting point is 01:13:44 Yeah. This is my best friend, Janet. Hey. And we have been joined at the Hipsons High School. Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years later. We're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips, wider.
Starting point is 01:13:55 This is a podcast. We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks and drink. Sidebar. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Well, they had a bogo. Well, then you got it. Do you want a white collar or something here?
Starting point is 01:14:09 Just hit it. Oh, what are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? Oh, I would. Come on. I would buy it. Cut through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.
Starting point is 01:14:21 That sounds delicious. Oh, you're lucky I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic. You're lucky I'm not a killer. I love this team and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh. Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. American Soccer is about to explode.
Starting point is 01:14:47 The World Cup is coming. Ramos sending on to Ernie Stewart the chip. I'm Tad Ramos. I'm Tom Bo. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balligan. I'm not worried about McKinney.
Starting point is 01:15:09 My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions. If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here.
Starting point is 01:15:31 Experience it all with us. Listen, Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tab Ramos on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. Asap Rocky says album, Don't Be Dumb is never dropping. The name of the title was Don't Be Dumb. We was dumb. I didn't even know he had an album called Don't Be Dumb that was supposed to be dropping. After he beat the case, he announced the date, which I thought was the great.
Starting point is 01:15:59 It's the greatest promo ever. Oh, okay, yes, I do remember that. Why is he never dropping? I mean, he's a stay-at-home husband. Were y'all checking for it? That's called the Circleback. Were you all checking for it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:15 Don't be done. I mean, if Rocky puts out of my mother, yeah, I would listen to it. Yeah. I think the last three singles he put out outside of the videos being amazing. I thought the music was good, too. But yeah, I would, I'm not like waiting around like the way for the fall off. Like, I'm like, yo, where the fuck is the fall off at? if don't be dumb never comes out
Starting point is 01:16:32 nothing's going to change in my life but if it did drop Oh yeah yeah yeah it's not I'm not I'm not no no no if he puts it out I'll listen but I'm not upset if it doesn't come out Like I'm not you know We have enough music and this way Did you have a head Kodax album?
Starting point is 01:16:46 I haven't yet but I saw it our Drama Lakin He's making my Oh they talk about it? They had the chat today and I asked if we listened to it And I said I hadn't yet They said it was amazing I mean he's holding listen man
Starting point is 01:16:59 I mean, you know how I feel about Kodak. But yeah, man, Kodak might be, he's a lot better than a lot of these dudes, man. Like in his peers? Do you think Jake Paul would fight him? Jake Paul would fight Kodak? Yeah. That ain't a fight. No, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Kodak coming to the ring strap with all kinds of shit. No, I meant the morality of it, like, based off what Kodak has in his past with Jake. See, the white man, always trying to remind us of our. You know what I mean? Of our tough time. Of the superiority of Jake Paul's morals? Stop trying to shine light on our, you know what I mean? No, Trump pardon them.
Starting point is 01:17:36 I don't know about the case. He spoke about that on the album. He rapped about that. Oh, yeah? Okay. Do you think Kodak is better than NBA? At rapping? Hold on, because baby, you don't know the history between those two.
Starting point is 01:17:48 What are you trying to start right now? Oh, I know. I don't know the history. I'm sorry. I genuinely was just asking because when we talk about the younger ones of the number click that wraps. Yeah. Yeah, I think Kodak wraps better than NBA young boy.
Starting point is 01:18:03 I think so. I think he wraps it. Yes, I've seen the NL.E. Tava video and I wish I could unsee the NLEA Chapa video. Contrary to popular belief, hear me out. NL.E Chapa is a star. Star is a, okay. So when I say star, I don't mean how successful he's been at things.
Starting point is 01:18:22 What I mean is NLEC Chapa has star power. I don't feel like I see a lot of people with star power. He's very intriguing and like, I care about Nali Chapa and I don't listen to his music. Does that make sense? Like, that's a lot of rappers now, though. Like, people care more about them than their music. But, yeah, but sometimes it'd be for a lot of gimmicky bullshit. I just think him himself is very intriguing.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Does he not do gimmicks and shit? Like, when he did that song, like, if I was a bad bitch, I don't want to fuck me too. Like, I don't. That's a little gimmicky to me. But it's not, okay. He put a band on his face and remix the Nelly song. It was a gimmick. You can have a.
Starting point is 01:18:58 gimmick and people do gimmicks all the time like who was little what was his name uh with that was with um kallier walking around in a big suit what was his name low pump gimmick right but i don't you don't really have star quality people don't really care about you are you see what i'm saying like somebody can be likable and have star quality and do gimmicky things and then somebody could just do gimmicky things and people don't care about them once the gimmick stops i don't know i just think n l e chopper has a lot of star power that's just i mean i think the young boy thing was a little gimmicky i'm not saying his his whole brand is gimmicks, but he definitely falls in a gimmick lane at times.
Starting point is 01:19:33 But I guess I don't know enough of Enelie Chopper's music to care, but I mean, I know people do like- I definitely don't know enough about his music. Maybe you should listen. Maybe every week we should listen to somebody we don't know enough about and come back with a report card.
Starting point is 01:19:46 I'm down. That could be cool. I've been working out to that NBA young boy playlist for a series. Oh, you have. Oh, she did send you to the playlist. How is it? He got some shit on it.
Starting point is 01:19:56 Son is a right. So a young boy? Yeah, he got some shit on there, man. He's talking, some of the shit he's saying is like, all right, these, we might need to send, like, help and support. Say, like, a part of America that we just not send the help and support, too. Like, but, like. No, they, FEMA did that when, uh, Louisiana in 05.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Yeah. Yeah, man. We got to talk about the damage that we didn't see. What Katrina did. Oh, my God. Like, the way he talking, I'm like, shit. No, Millie, I told you, Millie put me on to him and I, I listened. No, he's, he's good.
Starting point is 01:20:27 I like NBA young boy. I like him. And again, I'm late to the party. I'm just like really listening to his music like that. But yeah, I don't, I just, I, me personally, I, I think Kodak. I think Kodak is a better, is a better artist. How many records are on the Kodak album? Oh, maybe.
Starting point is 01:20:44 I know he's one of those that puts a lot of joints on there. Yeah, I want to see. Let me see. He's got 20. Okay. The drunk with him and Don Tolliver is crazy. The joint with him and Farrell is dope. Him and Chance is dope.
Starting point is 01:20:58 Hour in five minutes, that's not bad. The gentleman with him and Gunner, endless nights is dope. He got some shit on there. It's a really good project. No, I do fuck with Kodak. It's a really, really good project. As far as a rapper is actually very underrated. Shout out to Kodak Black, just getting started available now.
Starting point is 01:21:12 You got to check it out, baby. You like it. Would you drop an album if you were headlining every festival, had three kids with Rihanna? If I had three kids with Rihanna, I wouldn't do anything but keep breathing. Keep breathing or keep breathing? I think both. Both.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Actually. Both of them. Both of them. What? Married to me? Are they married? I think they might be married. I think they're probably married and we just don't know.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Well, let's just say they're married, have a family. If I'm Rocky, I don't, I don't been on the cover of all of the fucking, all of magazines. I didn't been at every fucking runway fashion show. My brand is lit. I made some noise. I did some things, but I'm married to Rion. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:21:55 A's a legend in his own right. Yeah, for sure. He's had an incredible career. For sure. He's changed hip-hop. There's a lot of ASAP babies running around here for sure. He does some great things. Great things.
Starting point is 01:22:05 His print, his stamp on the game is solidified. Now it's time to just be breathe and breathe. Breathe and breathe. He breathed some of the rap. Now he's breathing. Breathe and breathe. That's it. That's what I'm here for.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Even if like you love music. You got to multiply this thing. Reed, we have to multiply. We have to make sure that our kids are still here to spend this money. Re-up. You feel me? It's going to take a couple of life. Yeah, but we're going to try to spend it all.
Starting point is 01:22:31 We're going to try to blow this whole fucking bag. No, that's not how generational wealth works. Let's blow it all. Blow it all and get it back if you're a real one. Only if you're a real one. Blow it all and get it back. Well, three of their kids, like, no, you don't get a dollar of this. Yeah, get it back.
Starting point is 01:22:45 It's our retirement money. Yeah, it's all good. We're just going to buy Barbados. I like the idea of us having to listen to circling back to what I said. I was having to listen to a new artist and come back with like a report card. Yeah. You like that? Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 01:22:59 Should we pick... Top, we gotta come back with three good songs, our top three songs from them. Should we pick each other's artist type thing, or... We can do that. Yeah, that could be fun. I've been listening to Sasha Keeble. Y'all are you familiar with Sasha Keeble? I've heard the name.
Starting point is 01:23:14 Bay. Big E, get up on Sasha Keeble. Okay. He says Sasha Keebles? Sasha Keebles. Not Kee-E-A-B-L-A-L-A. All right. I thought she was on some freaky shit.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Yeah. Act right. All right. Oh, I've seen this artwork before. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. She has a joint, um, the moving along shit. Project is dope.
Starting point is 01:23:34 With Leon, yeah. Okay, so is that my artist? Oh, take your time with black. Yeah, no, I know her. Definitely, yeah. So Sasha is my artist? Yeah, listen to act right. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:41 I know she would beam too. I'm sending Rory. I'm going to give Rory. Who do I want to give Rory? Renee Rapp. Who's that? Renee Rapp? Renee Rapp.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Okay. Can I get a photo? Because that's the most important. Yeah, that's what you got to make sure that she looks good. She don't rap. Her last name is just rap, RAPP. I thought it was like Chants the Rapper and it was like Renee. That's her real last name, RAPB rap?
Starting point is 01:24:09 Yeah. That's fire. Okay. I usually do like EPs that look like they could be like Gap ads. Yeah, she's got the gap. Yeah, I think I'm probably going to enjoy this. She's a pop star, but she can sing her ass off when it comes to R&B. She loves R&B.
Starting point is 01:24:23 Where's she from? What? I don't know what Renee's from. We have to look that up. She's super cool. But she came out and said that she doesn't want to do, she does want to do an R&B album, but she wants to do it the right way. Because when pop artists enter into the R&B lane,
Starting point is 01:24:40 sometimes they're super, they're giving a lot of credit for something that's not their genre. She's like, I don't want to take a whole bunch of credit and get all these accolades for R&B when there's people who've been out here doing the groundwork for longer. She wants to be respectful. So she wants to be respectful of R&B so she's not singing R&B? She just hasn't made a complete R&B album yet because she doesn't want to, if Renee RAP does an R&B album is a good chance that it would do extremely well, right? So in her mind it's like-
Starting point is 01:25:07 So she doesn't want to do extremely well. It's not that she doesn't want to do extremely well. It's that she's respectful of people, black people, who have been doing R&B their entire life who may not get the looks that she gets because she's a white pop star. She's respectful of that. So she says she wants to do it. She just wants to find the right producers, to work with, make sure everybody gets paid and compensated, and that everything's fair.
Starting point is 01:25:27 She just doesn't, she doesn't want to be a culture vulture, is basically what she's saying. So. I don't know how I feel about that, but okay, I respect it. Yeah, I don't think it's that. That could come across this. I'm not racist, but. I got three black friends. No, I don't think.
Starting point is 01:25:41 That's not, maybe it's because I pay attention to her herself. That's not what she means. She really is just trying to be. I'm going to check out. Renee, rap. What's the project? She has a couple projects. I'll send you songs.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Okay. I sent you songs. The projects can lean a little pop. I don't want you to change your pick, but I feel like I'll probably like this based off what you explain. I would like picks like an L.A. Chopper.
Starting point is 01:26:05 Like something that I would probably like not. I was going to give an L.E. Okay. Why would you do that? I think you're giving me somebody that you know I'm going to like. Why? Do an Ali Chopper.
Starting point is 01:26:15 But that's the point of this exercise. That's the point. It's somebody that you may think you may not like, but you may end up liking. And no disrespect to N. I don't know him, but I'll just, You may end up liking the music. I don't want to be in a crib listening in L.E. Chapa.
Starting point is 01:26:27 But two years ago, you might have said the same thing about NBA Young Boy. I definitely said that about the NBA Young Boy. Exactly. I said that about Kodak and Young Boy and was completely wrong. I've been trying to tell you for years, Kodak. You put me on to Kodak and I'm a Kodak fan. Yeah. I like Young Boy.
Starting point is 01:26:44 I think we should do it that way. So what an L.E album should always do? Just text me this like in your free time because you know I like it. Why are you so jittery and smiling? Oh, I don't know. I had coffee earlier. Okay, yeah, I did too. I had a little shakes earlier.
Starting point is 01:26:57 Yeah. I could have caffeine was fucking making my handshake. Yeah. You okay? I'm okay. All right. Just checking. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:27:06 Anyways. For DeMaris, I'm going to have you listen to the rapper Mike. All caps, M-I-K-E. He's not white. Oh, thank God. Okay. I just met him. me. We were in London with him. That's so random. What? I just met him like two days ago. We were
Starting point is 01:27:30 literally sitting at a picnic table together in London, more. For real. Okay. So that's what, you know what? Mike is nice. That may be why he kind of looked at me like, you know, we met before. Yeah, it was me, you, Earl, Allen, him. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah. I literally just met him well, obviously, he was in London, but just saw him two days ago. Yeah. So he put him. out a project showbiz, which is one of my favorite rap albums of this year, it's not something that I think DeMaris would typically click, but I think she may end up
Starting point is 01:28:01 liking it. Okay. So I think we should go that route. Okay. Because that, Renee, rap girl, I'm probably just going to love it. I can tell I'm probably going to like that show. I want something that I'm going to be like, nah, fuck that. His name is Michael Jordan, Bonima. I'm just saying,
Starting point is 01:28:17 we know who to see who the goat is. We see who to go it is. Show me when they start naming kids LeBron. Show me the next LeBron. Oh, that's going to happen. Oh, there's been LeBron's. Where?
Starting point is 01:28:29 10 years. They're still young now. Generation is going to, yeah. Yeah, they're still young. You'll start hearing about him in about 10 years. I don't think so. I don't think we're going to see any LeBron's walking around. Well, to be fair, Michael is such a common ass fucking name.
Starting point is 01:28:41 Michael Jordan, and that's his middle name. There's a famous actor. That's, yeah, but that's like, that's called. And we age, 98, he was born. Oh, yeah. You know what Mike was doing in 98? Oh my gosh He was definitely named after Michael Jordan
Starting point is 01:28:57 His boss was watching the game In the hospital 100% What month was it? If it was playoff time Then oh my God He was born If he was
Starting point is 01:29:07 You know listen man Let's not go down that rabbit hole But they might have named them before All Star All Star All Star 98 Who was the MVP Mike might have been MVP
Starting point is 01:29:20 The Allstar is 98 That's all I'm saying That's all I'm saying All right, so we have Demaris with Mike. It was Jordan. I fucking told you. I fucking knew it. 98.
Starting point is 01:29:34 And we got a great rapper because of it. Wait, was it Jordan? NBA All-Star game? 98. Kobe All-Star game, Kobe Bryant MVP. Oh, oh, it's called the Kobe Bryant Award now. Okay. Yeah, Michael Jordan, 98.
Starting point is 01:29:52 So I'm doing Mike and Sasha Kevles. Maul has to do an elite chopper. Roy, you have Renee rap and then you give Roy one more, Ma. Somebody you want him to check out that you don't think he'll like. I don't think he'll like. He should like, but you don't know if you ever listen to them on his own. All right. I wouldn't expect.
Starting point is 01:30:09 Okay. Give me in the Kodak world. Something in that vein. Dave, yeah. I heard the Dave. Dave is my favorite rapper from the UK. And this last project solidified that even more. And it may have checked off another.
Starting point is 01:30:29 box of my 2025 predictions, but, you know, we'll save that for the end of the year. And you guys can order me a bouquet each. Okay, gotcha. That felt like that was like an okay, gotcha, like a dismissive way. Like you weren't going to do that. I mean, we got to check the board. I don't know what you're talking about right now. Mike in 98.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Okay. You have voice most, Josh. You've got mail. Sponsored by Boost Mobile Unlimited Talk, Text, and Dada $5 that month. You have to stop. Hi, guys. Josephine. Also, I really appreciate the podcast. I feel like you guys should add Amsterdam on your tour dates. Definitely. I appreciate that. I'll be there. I'll bring a few of my homies that also listen to you.
Starting point is 01:31:14 Homies. Homeies. Come through. You're welcome, more than welcome. Thank you, Josephine. So this is kind of more towards the mirrors. I would like to hear the view of the guys as well. But, you know, I feel. like the Maris probably has some experience in this as well. So I've been single for three years. I did some healing after the relationship, which was needed. And now I'm putting myself out there again since I think a year, which is good. But I just cannot get over the fact that there's so many losers in the world. And everybody just makes me cringe so much. And I don't know what to do about it, it's just, it's just crazy. I've been on many dates and I just see the flaws all the time
Starting point is 01:32:05 and I'm just like, ugh, just make me icky. So I don't know what to do about it. I would like to know if you have a tip for me or it's just why are there so many losers out here? I just want to find a fine man who's like, cool and not so crinchy. Help me. Okay, thank you. I think this is a, a Great question for DeMaris because she was somebody that's on the block forever and now is in a happy relationship with a new person. Teach us how you get back out there when it's icky out there. I just feel like outside of my relationship, I've always just felt like this. I feel like everything happens when it's supposed to. That's with jobs.
Starting point is 01:32:48 That's with relationships. That's with friends. That's with life. If something is it coming to you, it's just not either you aren't mentally ready for it. It's not the time in your life for it. And higher powers want you to focus on something else. That's the worst advice to give someone when they're like, bro, can't find a job. Like, yo, just the time will come.
Starting point is 01:33:06 Like, you know, I need this shit now. Yeah, the higher powers. But you, you saying I need it now. I agree with you. I mean, it's always a bad advice to someone that's going through something. But it's not bad advice because it's the truth. It's just not what you want to hear. Nobody ever wants to hear good advice.
Starting point is 01:33:18 They want to hear a magical solution to their problem. Well, maybe a different approach that you took that made timing right when you met the person you're with now. I don't want to talk about that. Okay, fair enough. Yeah. I think getting back out there, unfortunately, is a volume game. I think you have to go out and date and see the X and just see what's out there.
Starting point is 01:33:41 If you go on two dates and it's like, ugh, that's gross, you're not going to really solve anything unless you keep getting back out there. Also, don't, the X sometimes, I feel like sometimes we overthink X. Like, sometimes we're just like. Speak to it, baby, Dee. You got to have a little bit more patience for some things. A little bit more patience. Now, if something really makes you feel uncomfortable inside.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Nobody has a better fourth quarter than Baby, dude. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Nani ain't Jordan. Go ahead, baby, Dee. I'm sorry. There's going to be some things that make you feel, if something makes you feel uncomfortable inside, get the fuck out of there, right?
Starting point is 01:34:13 Like, listen to your body and your intuition telling you things. But sometimes people are just doing things that you aren't used to or they might live a different lifestyle that you're used to or they might have a different lingo that you're not used to. If you really, really want to find love, I'm never saying settle, but just be a little bit more open. Be strict with your boundaries, but when it comes to their personality, be a little bit more open and willing to try new things. Same thing with food, with jobs, with anything. Like you can't keep doing or dating the same thing that you always have because that obviously hasn't worked out for you.
Starting point is 01:34:47 Right. That mixed with also, sometimes the timing is just not right. You got to be patient. Yeah. Which sucks. Nobody wants to hear that, but that's the truth. Sometimes you have the wrong. You should have some icks with the last guy that you think you like.
Starting point is 01:34:58 Why do you think the word settle gets such a negative connotation? Like, why do you think that word? People settle there usually aren't happy. But is that the actual definition of that word or have we made it that? Like sometimes you have to settle on certain things to be in a happy relationship. Like you're not going, you're not going to love everything about somebody. You have to settle on certain things. That's compromising.
Starting point is 01:35:21 Settling and compromising are two totally different things. settling is more like All right well I guess this is it Yeah this is our different way Like imagine you you get you with your girl and you come on with this She's like well guess this is it What We don't have to do this
Starting point is 01:35:36 Like we can go out several ways Yeah If that's the energy if it's like oh well this is you know But can you settle for something you love Like I'll settle for this Because I love this and what this is Over going back outside
Starting point is 01:35:48 In trying to find something that's unproven Not settle I choose this Okay settle is like if there's something else that comes along that I feel like is better than this I'm out that's the energy that settling has like yeah and also I'll take this for now
Starting point is 01:36:05 that that isn't sure like yeah like you wouldn't you wouldn't prefer this and in and this is not what I would usually be doing like this isn't what you chose but as soon as something that comes along that you deem to be what you you know think is your ideal situation person whatever you're out of it like you're out of that situation that you were currently in
Starting point is 01:36:23 And it happens. I mean, settle. And again, this is just the Western dictionary. It never hit y'all like months after you stopped dating somebody that they lied to you in your faith told you some shit. Like, you don't never, that shit don't ever just hit you randomly some days. Oh, for sure. You're being talking.
Starting point is 01:36:36 You'd be like, that bitch was lying. Yeah. Some shit that you never even thought was lied. Like the way deja vu hit you, sometimes things, it's something in your brain. Like, wait, hold on. They didn't make no kind. You weren't even thinking about it. Yo, where was I.
Starting point is 01:36:47 That didn't even make sense. Where was I added life where that worked. Like, you know, what she told me? Because you had the blinders of belief. I feel like that might be a man thing. I don't, well. Because women, I'll be thinking you lying from the jump. So I don't, I never have that come to Jesus moment because I was thinking at from the very
Starting point is 01:37:02 beginning. Yo, it'd be hitting you at the most random. I think I was on like, ordering some shit on fucking prime or something like that. Is that the checkout? And I was like, well, hold up. She told me what? What do you think in your orderless? Sparked it.
Starting point is 01:37:16 I have no idea, but it just hit me. And I was just like, I had to laugh. Like, that's crazy that that worked on me. Like, but you know. Yeah. Resolve or reach an agreement about an argument or problem. I guess not there. A place to stay.
Starting point is 01:37:30 Hey. Sometimes you got to settle. Hey. Hey. Some go squatting. Some call it settling. Sometimes you got to settle. Like, listen, man, some snaps ain't hitting.
Starting point is 01:37:39 He, like, he treat me all right. I'm just going to settle here. So in that way, settle is a positive thing. Yeah. It can be. Settle for shelter. That's, I choose shelter over the park bench at night. I choose this man's warm home instead of the subway.
Starting point is 01:37:57 Yeah. And then the third definition, which ironically for this month makes a lot of sense, colonize. Now we're getting somewhere. You see, we were the settlers. Yeah, that's it. That's all. You got to just, that first word is very important. The conquerors, rapists, slave owners.
Starting point is 01:38:11 Settlers. We came here and settled. Brought the ships to the dock and settled. And settled down. And settled down. Everyone settled down. Take this blanket. Yeah, settle in.
Starting point is 01:38:21 They may have something on it. Yeah. Yeah, that's all. That's all you got to do. Hopefully, Josephine, we helped you with that. I don't think we did. But baby, D.Gay. Well, not.
Starting point is 01:38:28 Get back out there. I do think volume game, even if you've had some bad dates that doesn't mean the next person you meet is going to be as bad. You have to get back out there. Even if it sucks, like, sit through a fucking Caesar salad and then just don't speak to them. Right. Just. No.
Starting point is 01:38:42 Go out with their friends. Have fun. Find something that's a hobby and be open to meeting people in the space that they're at. If something falls in your lap, something falls in your lap, something falls in your lap you can date but like don't don't the volume game doesn't always i'm not like saying serial date like swipe right and go on a date every fucking night i'm saying be open after having bad dates to still dating yes that's all i'm saying i'm not saying date every night um do we have another one or uh all right well this was fun yes this was great yeah this was a great post election day we
Starting point is 01:39:15 move in the patreon great post election day mall did i mean rory did you watch our um shit mall Did you watch our vlog? No, but I'm hearing good things about it. I haven't watched it yet. No, I do want to watch it. Yo, whenever I work hard on some shit, I need everybody in office to watch it. Because I edited it.
Starting point is 01:39:33 No, I'm really, it's on my to-do to watch. So now everybody can't watch it. Oh, you edited it? Yeah. I'm not watching that shit. It's going to be probably mad jump cuts. That's off. No, the first one she did, we were in Vegas was great editing.
Starting point is 01:39:46 I'm going to be talking like a fucking, like he got closed captions on the fucking closed captions. No, I'll just play. I'm going to check it out, though, because I've been hearing good things. People seem to like it. And somebody was telling them, yo, you need to do that more, that shit. Shut up. No, it's like good.
Starting point is 01:40:01 How dare the listeners tell you what they want more? Like a good feedback. No, I respect that. Yeah, I'm going to watch it, though. We have fun, though. We got to do one now. You and I can do one. I want to be a fly on the wall for just you and Peach for a vlog.
Starting point is 01:40:14 Oh. Like maybe. That's not going to make the airwaves. That's not going to make the airwaves. Me and Peach, you don't want me and Peach. go somewhere and just kick it over a beer. No. Like you let me and Piz go kick it over beers.
Starting point is 01:40:25 And it's not going to make this. $50 here. It's not going to leave the editing floor. It's not going to leave it. Man. Let's talk about it. Let's fucking. There we go.
Starting point is 01:40:35 You got to sit down and talk when you don't like somebody. Sit right here and let's figure out why we don't like you. They did some cancel little shit in our one vlog. I thought about cutting it out. I'm like, but I can't. For me and Pige? Mm-hmm. I'm going to come.
Starting point is 01:40:48 Wait, that's canceling on that? Because they were. Our president said it. They were, I said, Peach asked me would I rather be blind or deaf? And I was like, deaf. I need to see. And then I said, oh, but damn,
Starting point is 01:40:59 if I'm deaf, you can't talk me through it. So that, then they- Oh, I get, I get the joke now. Mother-groom. I get,
Starting point is 01:41:09 not get it now. I get the joke now. They're going to hell. All right, I'm sorry. You're offending, Josh. I'm sorry. You're offending Josh. You're offending Josh.
Starting point is 01:41:18 Stop it. Stop it right now. He's fucking. seething over there. Seathing? Seathing. Seathing. Why don't I say teething? What's teething? Oh, baby's teething. Josh is teething. Yo, I got some frozen in the freezer for you from Amara. Yeah, you know the chew toys. You know the toys with the little, the bumps. The bumps on it because of the gums, the gums is. So you got to get them. Oh my God. I can't. These white Democrats are teething. Be safe. Be safe. Be blessed. I'm that d'all. He's just.
Starting point is 01:41:50 gender. My, my, my. I'm not gender. I'm just a gender. I said gender or ginger? Oh, well, he is gender. We don't know his gender. We don't know Josh's gender.
