He has mobility after a stroke. You know, you're doing good. You know, one day at a time. He's got to take it one day, one step at a time. He said he was doing a good job at walking. He never lost his ability. to walk. I'm just saying, thank God. You do, you mean, good job. Like, listen, bro.

Like, you know, hang in this. Stay in the game. That's all. Yeah. And then, like, friends and associates that I have not seen since everything happened, like, you know, you're at a show. You're running to people. You dab, give them a hug, whatever. It was like a, like, like, people were, like holding me. Like, I could feel them breathing. Like, thank God you're still with us. I'm like, I'm trying to.

You're sitting down. You're like, I just got a little lightheaded. And I'm like, damn, like I felt so bad. Like I kissed Rory on his head. And then niggas and Paris came on. And I said. But I ended up in the handicap section on air low riser. Yeah, handicap. No, that's a cool. Grace. No, I was trying to get, well, I was looking for Rory. And he wasn't where he was supposed to be. I told him to get ADAC in. So I just stayed there.

Yeah. And was talking to one of the homies of the handicapped niggas. Like, he was giving it up. He gave me his business car. He's from Chicago. Shout out to him. Okay. Yeah.

But I tried to get Roy. I tried to get Roy to come to the handicapped. section would be butter whatever but he had like you know he was chilling sitting down so well you call that was towards the end of the show yeah i overextend i was fine yesterday second day i didn't know my limits because i have never been post-stroke that i was standing on a chair for an hour and then i realized oh balance when you're when you don't have vertigo it's tough on those plastic chairs that's why i got lightheaded trying to keep myself up i was like yeah i'm cool okay that makes it i don't need i I don't need to stand up for encore.

I'll just sit down. Oh, I stood up the whole time. Oh, man. Cryed. Did you cry? No. I cried. It did make me like Encore again.

Encore was always like, it got too big. Like, it almost felt like white karaoke bar type music is what encore turned into for me. But this show, like the second verse is like, oh yeah, he did all that shit. I can appreciate this song now. Like there's certain, there's certain Jay-Z songs that went to. too pop for me. They get kind of annoying. Encore, Forever Young. Like, those aren't really my type of Jay-Z music.

Oncour's not that pop. It went, because remember, like, he did the Lincoln Park shit, and I felt like that got kind of... Oh, that's a whole different rendition of... Yeah, it just... It just got, I don't know. It got whitewashed, I felt like. Encore, to me,

it hits different now because... That's what? One of the reasons why I didn't go to any of the shows this weekend was because I'm not... I know this is Jay's... last run. Like I noticed it. And I don't want to face that. As just a fan

I'll see the clips, some streams here and there. But I was just like, I don't, I'm not ready to face to see Jay on stage in New York

possibly for the last time. Nah, I'm not ready for that, man. It's not because then it's what's next? What's after that? What do we have after that? Like, it's some real shit. It's some real questions and conversations we like to have coming off of this whole run right here. Like, what, what's next?

We, maybe we need to thank the city of New York for denying the Caesar's palace casino. Because had Rock Nation gotten that bid, I don't know if we would have gotten any of this shit. A 30 year anniversary for my first album. And if you remember correctly, he always said his first album was his last album. So now you look back 30 years and all I've accomplished and everything that he's doing in business now, family, his wife, being who she is. And, you know, it's like, at some point, you got to be like, yo, I'm cool. Like, I'm done, man. This is, this was him cementing his legacy as if it wasn't already cemented. But, you know, let me do Yankee Stadium. and then let me go out west

and then let me go to London and Paris but this is the victory lap this is this is why encore just feels a little different now when you hear it everything he's saying in it it's like came true oh shit like you really said all that shit before that it happened exactly how you said it

you get what I'm saying so that's why it just hits a little it just hits a little different now I love seeing you know him and Nas on stage together I was you know kind of thinking even seeing that like damn we really missed a Nas J tour like what if we had what if we had gotten that like a whole Nas J run together you know what I'm saying like and then you got to look these guys are

who else can do what they doing at their at their age like who now can do what at 506 plus 52 plus years old can do and look like Jay and Nas that we have in our culture like who Who? It just shows how young hip hop is the first time we've ever seen it before. We've never seen this happen before. I don't think we'll ever see it again. I really want to talk about that. I think with, and we're not going to make this a big three thing whatsoever, but I think the big three, we will see something similar to this degree. Because I think when some of their iconic albums turn 20, 30, no, no, no. We'll see them age. We know that. We know that. We know that. I'm away from them. After those three, though, I don't know if we'll ever see this shit again. That's what I'm saying. I don't, we know that with those guys, for sure. A way. from them? I don't know.

It's scary. Like, it's, like, it's scary what we're going to have to look at, like, who was this again? What was this? I mean, let's still,

let's not, and I know we're not giving a slight on hip hop there. No, with a lot of rock groups, yes, there's iconic rock groups that still do their tour shit, which I think hip hop should

should also strive where it's, it's so much no country for old men in hip hop. We should always be supportive of artists aging and doing, what the older rock stars do. But there are only a handful of rock stars that can do that too. Yeah. So if hip hop has five, I don't think that's that crazy outside of other genres.

Because yes, you have in soul music, but there are usually like three specific artists from each genre that tore in their 60s and it still looks cool. Yeah. Jay is one of the few in rap, though, I think. It's just Jay. I mean, at this point with hip hop only being 52 years old, it's nods and Hove, like, on a huge scale. Right. Of course, there's other artists that can still tour, but not. They bought up Kanye. Peach bought up Kanye.

I have Kanye, the generation under Nas and Hobb. I don't have him as peers, not talent-wise. I'm just saying age in when they came out, not their actual age on Earth. But Kanye came out, Jay had a blueprint was, Kanye came out in 04. Right. Jay had four albums out. Nas had five albums, though. Yeah.

Kanye is definitely below them. But yes, Kanye West 100% is... I think he just sold out the country of Albania. Yeah, that... Selling out of country, it's hilarious. Seeing that, I was just like, bro, what the... This is why... And these people, yo, some of those tickets were free...

I don't give a fuck. You two sold out a country. If anything that this... I think this Jay weekend in Yankee Stadium showed us is that the Internet is full of shit. And the Internet is a very small corner, a very small group of people. people with opinions that really don't mean shit.

Of course. Because so many people, you know, Jay is old. He's washed and, you know, nobody cares and this and that. Whatever people are saying about Jay. You can't name many people that can put that many people in a stadium, three consecutive nights, and then bring out the people that he brought out, whether they were performing or just coming as spectators of the show. there's not many people that can do that.

So let this be a testament to anybody out there that's, you know, trying to do something to create something. And, you know, if the internet is telling you, you know, you're not this, you're not that, it's not good enough. It's a very small group of people with very small opinions that sometimes just find themselves congregating on the internet to create narratives that don't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. because, again, seeing what Jay did this weekend, it's a testament to just, you know, don't believe everything that you're reading. Don't believe, you know, Denae says and this down and a third. Like, at 59 years old to be able to do what he did, like, I don't know how anybody didn't see that and doesn't respect that. Not only that, when he was performing, Ken I live last night, I was like, yo, this is a NYHA baby. Yeah.

This guy's from the project. Like, no disrespect to Bruce Springsteen. I'm sure he's had his own struggles and let my dad tell it making out of North Jersey is the hardest thing ever. Yeah. But if you go to Jay's peers across all genres, I'm comfortable saying they did not have to face the obstacles that Jay Z had to face. It's a little different. From the fucking NYCHA program in New York City. The obstacles are a little different.

We all have obstacles. Do you know how crazy that is that he did that? Bro, so we say it all the time. It's one of the greatest stories ever. To witness unfold and witness happened. It's literally a movie, you know, to be from the projects in Brooklyn, New York, and sell crack. At the time he was in there. Yeah.

And then to, you know, fast forward 2026, three nights sold out in Yankee Stadium. You can't write shit like that. Like that's, you know, that's just something that is just written in the stars. That was going to happen. I mean, like literally that was destiny. For sure. Roy, you went to both shows. Which one did you enjoy more?

Well, I want to start with night one that I watched the entire thing on Instagram live and was satisfied. Yeah, crack up. Shout out to, um. He was rubbing your feet in the bed with the lights off. Oh, 100% glue to your phone. No, I definitely turned the lights off because it was a better view. I could really get the lighting package.

Yeah. On my phone. Um, I feel bad. I forgot the gentleman's name. But the Beehive in their community hosted this image with like seven different people that agreed to do IG live for the whole show. A bunch of them got taken down this dude mega, mega, mega or something like that. Beehive member, he was front and center. I felt like I was at the show through Instagram Live.

I felt like I didn't miss it at all. So salute to you for holding your phone up the entire. And I know you had to have multiple charters. Yeah, that's a different level of dedication right there. to come out the gate night one with Can't Knock the Hustle and Beyonce doing the hook. Incredible. That's your starter for the three nights.

Yeah. Why do they do that to Mary? Do what? Mary was perfect for Can't Knock the tone, the rafteriness. It's what makes the record so iconic. But when you get the Tina Turner, Beyonce version, yeah, I had goosebumps.

She went nuts on that hook And no, Mary wasn't supposed to sing out on it But hearing someone sing out on that hook Makes that, it's a new song I agree But There's still something about Mary doing that hook It's just New York

But it's just New York That's all Beyonce, in my opinion, being one of the greatest vocalists Ever For sure And then Doing the Can Knock the Hustle remix beat with it Like it was insane

Listen, anytime you get to see Beyonce, like, you're happy. Jay said she could sing. Yeah, like, I mean, you know, but it's just, I'm not going to lie, though. That I was, I was surprised. The one guest I thought it was like a for sure was Mary. Like, I thought that was like a for sure she would be there. Everybody can't knock the hustle. Like, that was the one that I thought was for sure.

But don't get it twisted. Having Beyonce to come out and do that was definitely a pleasant surprise. And it was like, okay. we'll take that. But it was still like, like, damn, what's, well, how Mary missed that one? Like in New York? Her Vegas. Vegas got a wait, man.

Gizi had a Vegas show too. And you see what Gizi did. No, he didn't. Yeah. Yeah, Gizzi put that on the back burner. Like, listen, man, we'll reschedule that one. Like, that's all Mary had to do was like, yo, listen, man. We don't have to reschedule that, you know, just the relationship with her and Jay and the history.

And then obviously that record being such an iconic record. And she has an iconic hook on that record. Like, then it's New York, both being from New York. It just felt like the moment that we thought we would definitely get. But again, you know, Beyonce coming out to do that was like, okay, we'll take it. That's that, that works too. I mean, his first album song ever, yeah, I think it was cool full circle moment. And I mean, selfishly, my first J concert ever was Heart of the City Tour with Mary.

And I've seen them perform Ken Knocked us a bunch of times. So this was kind of like cool to get a different look. Yeah, no, definitely. We'll take it. But I think when we talked about guests, I think we all thought Mary was for sure. Yeah. Like, I think we felt like Mary was for sure.

I was at dinner and like for night one and like, niggas was like, you'll be on stage. I'm like, I don't want to hear nothing else about this show. Like, don't tell me nothing. Like, I'm so mad. The niggas looked over in me, it was like, I hate to tell you,

but Blue Ivy just did the Keys fulfilling it. I said, all right, bro. This is what we doing? And you said night three was better. This is what we doing? Shit. Blue Ivy on the keys? That's what we're all right.

All right. Okay, cool. How old is Blue Abbey? 14? 14 years old. You have been a dancer on one of the biggest tours ever with some of the greatest choreography of all time. Then you went, and you didn't dance at Yankee Stadium. You played the keys.

It took the night off. I'll just play the keys tonight, don't worry. So you were with the most iconic choreography. of all time. And then he was like, you know what? Give me the piano. Roll a ball went out. Where's the Steinway at?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. They said that she's... Yo, how talented do you have to be to be on your mom, who is Beyonce, doing the choreography with... Beyonce's dance team is the greatest dance team of the last fucking decade. No matter who they switch in and out

is always the best dancers in the world there. Blue Ivy, just keeping up with the choreography real quick as a teenager. Oh, it's nothing. Just give me one show. I'll catch it all. Yeah, I got this. I got this dad.

Does the whole tour. Then when her dad does his 30th anniversary in Yankee Stadium, it's like, you know, that song that you put out 30 years before I was born? That little tune, a little number. A little jazzy tune you did, Dad. And not only did she do the feeling at Keys, she stopped to flex for a second when the camera was there and then caught right back up with the band.

Like she didn't just get off the fucking keys for a second. I mean, that's what she does. This is just another day. just blue doing blue things If you don't have a daughter, do have a daughter, have a son, have a possible day, you cried. You don't have to have a kid to like not tear up

at seeing someone's kid play the keys for one of their best songs from their first album. Like that's the coolest shit in the world. I don't think it gets cool than that to have your daughter play the keys at your 30th anniversary showing Yagie Stadium. Yeah, that's... And if y'all call this glazing, I'm a glazer.

Oh, I already said I'm in here to swan. If that's glazing to admire having your kid play the Keys at your 30th anniversary show in Yankee Stadium, I'm the homoerotic shit that y'all talk about online. I'm that. No, that's a beautiful moment. Yeah, of course people are going to say that. But that's, come on, fam. Like, that's just a beautiful moment, a full circle moment to have your daughter, you know, on stage at you in Yankee Stadium playing the keys for one of your, you know, best songs. Iconic keys. Yeah, like, come on, man. Like it don't get, it don't get much better than that.

Like, glazing, you know, that's people stupid. But that, that is a beautiful moment. I'm surprised Jay, well, I'm sure he was choked up in that moment. I'm sure he definitely had 100% some tears in his eyes at that moment. Like, because it's just a, again, it's a beautiful thing, man. Yeah. And we'll, you know, try to go quick with all this because I know some people don't care. We didn't get a Nause and J. Tor, but I will say we got the greatest mashup of two icons.

I've ever seen the way they did their sales. that rapping to where I'm from verse on New York State of Mine and going back and forth. That was fine. Nas rapping on where I'm from with the New York State of Mind. His verse, The World is Yours, Dead Presidents. That was insane. Shout out to Guru, Rance, $15,000 or nothing, Adam Blackstone.

That band. Yeah, shout out to the whole band, man. The band was the music. Yeah, the music is, we get the guest in obviously Jay's rhymes and performance, but the music, the entire all three shows, was incredible. All the transitions were so clean. You know, it was just, you could tell that they really took their time

and made sure that everything was seamless. And, you know, it's easy to forget about the band a lot of times with shows. AMAs, Billboard Grammys, there needs to be some awards, bring the Soul Train awards back. There needs to be some type of award that honors live bands in tours and concerts. Because they deserve an award for that. I've never seen. Incredible. I've only been around for 36 years, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I've personally never

seen a band basically do a DJ set. Like they did a blend tape. How the fuck do you do that as a live live music? Yeah. Like even, you know, we'll get to other nights, but just mixing in certain biggie records in Brooklyn's finest, like throwing in, like how they went in and out with different beats was like, it was like guru was just DJ. Yeah. It was absolutely insane. I loved what they did with no church in the wild. Friend or foe doing the first one at 98 together was crazy. Love that when he brought Bleak out for coming to age. They did come into age two.

I've never seen that perform before. That was crazy. But the illus moments, and we got to, you know, salute that is, Jay bringing Jazz O out. Yeah, giving him his flowers. Giving him his flowers. I've never heard Jay give credit to anybody for him being who he is and where he's at in his career in his life as an artist. So for him to give jazz that honor on stage, I mean, that was, that was incredible.

That was a very, like one of the little moments like that to me is what make the show to show. And for Jay to do that to jazz or for jazz, I thought that was superfired. So shout out to Jay and jazz for that. Because if you know the history of Jay Z, you got to know who Jazz O is. And for him to give jazz those flowers in front of Yankee Stadium like that, I thought that was super dope and super humble with to do that. Yeah. It would have been,

are him in Sauce Money cool? I personally, I don't know, man. That was the one person that I thought, again, I thought that, you know, sauce would have been there too. But he wasn't, again, I don't know if, you know,

where they stand and if they're on speaking terms or not, you know, that's up for others to speculate. I don't really get into that. But that is somebody that I thought would have been there. I thought I expected to see Sauce Money there.

Um, man, uh, Foxy's brother Gavin posted that she was just following Jay cleared her Instagram. I think everyone thought we were getting a Foxy pop up for reasonable doubt. I definitely thought that was going to happen as well. But I mean, it would have been cool. It doesn't make or break the show, but of course that would have been cool. Just those little things, you know, just for those records, those, those verses that we thought we would see live. And then again, you know, we, we kind of lean toward any New York artist that he has big records with. We kind of thought that they would have been there for that.

But, you know, again, things, you know, you don't know where people are in personal spaces and things like that. So it didn't happen. I mean, hopefully him and Foxy are in a good space. But that is somebody, another one that we thought would have been there. Yeah. I mean, before we get tonight, too, I will say I'm jealous of everyone that went to this and saw it live. But even on IG, it was great. I have to salute hove to carry an entire show with that type of album, like, is something I've

That was fire. the coolest thing I have seen at a live rap show in my life. If you are a rapper and you have to compete with these fucking pop stars like your wife, who have the best shows ever, it's like, I'm a rapper. I can only do so much. That's the coolest shit I've seen when you have money. Yeah. You had a fucking helicopter fly low around Yankee Stadium with a live camera that went to the

Overall, then, for the encore, he brought out Farrell, which reminded me that they have like seven hit records together, which was great. Farrell sounded incredible.
