Like I was completely fine a few hours ago. I sleep right under that AC for an hour in our lounge. The air conditioner is the only thing that I'm scared of. No, it like did a number on me.

Yeah, like I don't, I don't, the AC sleeping under that AC that will take you out every time, man, every time. I feel like a different person right now, just from one AC. Wait till tonight. Wait till your immune system starts to like go to bed. Like right now you're up. Like your immune system is up. Yeah, it's moving. Yeah, but wait to you, wait till you settle in for the night.

Got a little Chipotle in my system. Oh, wait to those body, that body chill starts to hit you and ache and start sweating in the bed. Wait till I hit you. We didn't have a C when I was growing up, but not like, because like we were poor or anything. I don't know. Just cheap. Yeah. So I slept with like a fan in my face every single night.

I don't know how I did that. Literally like this close to my face every night. I can't do it, man. To AC that fan? once you fall asleep. We fall asleep for 10 minutes under the AC. Yeah, it feels like you haven't had any water in 20 years. Yeah.

Throw gets tight. Body gets stiff. Yeah, well, hopefully I'll survive. But how are you feeling, man? I feel good, man. Feel good. Great weather, you know. He was outside?

I went outside. I went outside this week, this Saturday. I went out. I went out, shout to Sean Dickson. He was in town. Yeah. He had an event downtown for Fashion Week. Sean was the only person

They had already shut everything down Yeah, my dummy was too much But then we went, you know, down the block To the bar and, you know Me and Sean kicked it for a minute And they went to dinner But, you know, I did a Did one of your Irish exits.

Yeah And I just, you know, left and went home But I was outside for a little bit Yeah No, Saturday looked like there was a lot of fun things going on. I was watching like Squidward Out the window

Yeah tight at everyone Yeah. The battle of Jolov shit was going on. Just all my friends looked like they were at last. Battle of who? Joloff. Is that my pronouncing your girl?

Oh, Joloff. Oh, okay. My apologies to the African community. If I'm missing. I think you said Joe Loss. No, what is that? Like, no, like the food. Okay, got it.

They had a basketball game in Brooklyn. That looked like a lot of fun. But I don't know how your 9-11 was. I ended up having a really nice 9-11. I did. All right. What did you do for 9-11, Rory? Like, how did you remember?

One of the most faithful days in American history. When you had left the office, we were hanging here and I got like an Instagram ad. I was like, how the fuck did we not realize that Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Azizanzari, Nikki Glazer, Kevin Hart. I'm missing like two other A-list comedians. All were performing at the Garden for like a 9-11 memorial. Pete Davidson put it together for like firefighters' families and shit. So yeah, we bought tickets and we went. And Pete Davidson, of course, he lost his dad in honor.

Yes. But I mean, look at where we are as a country. You put on a... Oh, Shane Gillis, too. Shane Gillis. Okay, so all of the A list is of comedy. Yeah. Like, look at how...

John Stewart. Is that not the American spirit? One of the most, you know, just tragic days in American history. And, you know, 25 years later, we're able to, you know, laugh. Let's make some little LOLs about it. Some LOLs about one of the most tragic days in American history. Um, they took our, well, they didn't take our phones because I don't know why security, like, me and DeMaris.

We're like, oh, we don't carry phones. They just let us go. Yeah. But yeah, you're supposed to lock your phones up. But now you see how 9-11 happened. Same security. No, we don't carry box cutters. We don't, yeah.

Yeah, we don't, we don't do those things. We don't bring anything on. Someone check the shoes. Hey, look, if Nikki Glazer could joke about 9-11, so can we, man. But yeah, so they locked. The comedians thought everyone's phone was locked. So those shows are way more fun when like they know no one can film anything or anything like that. So it was a really, really, really good show.

And no, not every set was like about 9-11. Yeah. It's funny about the phone thing when I saw Bill Burr in L.A. right after you left, the comedy series. It was a woman that was filming him as soon as he got on stage. He was like, he's like, man, could you not film me? Yeah. He's like, because, you know, this is how these things happen.

Next thing I know by the time I get home, there's a video, video me on stage, and it makes it seem like I support, like, you know what I'm like? Yeah. The most tragic thing. He was like, you'll edit that video. I'm working on material up here, and it just gets taken out of context. And that makes a lot of sense. And I'm sorry, Bill, to not do you any favors here, but I didn't film anything.

But he has such a, like, satire to the point that you don't even know if he's joking about Iran. Like he comes out the gate to start his set about Iran. And at first I was like, is he being serious? So yes, and out of context, that would look crazy with the things he was saying about Iran. But the show was great. It was really, really, really good. They had, you know, families of firefighters that passed on 9-11 introduced each comic. Obviously, John Stewart, again, brought more awareness to, you know, New York City hiding for 25 years that there was cancer in the air.

Yeah. as we tried to save citizens. Right. Just so we don't have to pay for it. Listen, man. Let's tell a well about it. So many people die. Never forget.

How can I? Lost a lung. But no, it was a really, really good event. I'm glad. I'm glad we went. Peach had a flight so he couldn't come with us. Ryan backed out. You know, that comedy's too racy for his genus.

Yeah. He would have been very offended. He can't handle that. Those things, you know, he wasn't even alive for 9-11. He doesn't get it. He doesn't. He doesn't understand. Yeah, he doesn't understand.

I watched the documentary on Netflix. It's on my cue. I'm going to watch it this week. I didn't want to watch it this weekend. It was too. Out my window, I can see the lights. I didn't want to watch on my TV and see the lights at the same time. It was too much.

But I started watching it. But to Ryan not being born, not 11th, that's what a lot of it was about. It was about, you know, people who are now adults who were either like really young, when 9-11 happened, didn't understand what was going on. they talked to some people that, you know, weren't even alive, some students and things like that, that they just are taught about it and they hear about it. It is just so crazy to see that, like, you know, young adults, 25, 26 years old that really don't remember 9-11. And to hear them talking about how, you know, in school, they're just seeing videos.

It's like, damn, is that our Pearl Harbor? Like, is that our pro harbor? It's the, for sure, the most, I don't use the word important, but the biggest thing of my childhood, by far. I don't even think you could compare anything close to it. For you, it must have been a little crazier to because I was in sixth grade. So yes, I remember life before 9-11. Yeah. But a majority of my upbringing was post-9-11 worlds. You were 21. So like you had a hope, the entire world changed. No, I was before. I was 20. I was 20. That was two weeks before my 21st birthday. But yeah, it was, you know, it was definitely a day that, you know, looking back, every time.

thing kind of felt like, you know, you don't want to say you're scared. You don't want to seem scared. You don't want to panic. But in reality, we were all scared. Didn't know what was going next. Didn't know what was going on. Like, I'm living in the Bronx and to look up and see like fighter jets flying. Crazy. You know, in the skies. It's like, that moment felt like, okay, like, you know, you see things in movies and on, you know, TV that happened around the world. And you never think that'll happen here. Yeah. Like, especially New York. We, New Yorkers, we have this arrogance. We're untouchable.

We're invincible. For sure. Nothing will ever happen in New York. You know, maybe a stabbing on the subway, you know, a shooting somewhere in Times Square. But parfor, of course. Yeah, you never think a terrorist attack happens in New York. So, you know, that 9-11 was definitely the moment looking back where I think everybody kind of was like, oh, no, it can happen. Yeah.

And we're going to use it to change everything that you find normal in life more or less. We'll start charging you more. your airline ticket for TSA security. Yeah. Even though that was 25 years ago, like, how much did that help the security at the airports? Like, why are you charging me $11 every time I purchase a ticket? And you pay the TSA. With TSA security.

Like, what does that even mean? Like, we were not even outraged at the Patriot Act. Because it kind of made sense. Like, all right, we're all terrified. We think this radical Islamic group at the time was doing all these things. Which was crazy. When you look at the documentaries, you'll be like, okay, what? It's crazy, man.

It's crazy. All of the days looking back. That's the one thing of like, not only was bad, but remember how unified we were? I was like, eh. It's silly. Yo, that doc, I'm telling you, that doc is crazy. The doc that I'm really looking forward to, and I say this all the time, is 20 years after COVID. Oh, yeah, that'll be.

That documentary is going to be one of the craziest documentaries we probably will ever see. Also because 9-11, yes, I still, 25 years later, still see footage I've never seen. But for the most part, it is just different angles of the same two towers. And then it's footage of Bush going in Afghanistan, Iraq. We've gotten this same footage. COVID, we all had this. There is going to be so much crazy footage. It's so much footage.

It is so much footage that we are going to have to watch and be like, we actually lives through that. Everyone kept like a video diary that we posted. Yeah. Like it's going to be insane. Insanity. That's the one I'm looking for. I'm looking forward to that documentary. I don't even know how you do that doc. Like with the amount of stuff you have. How do you even put that together? It's a it's probably a part. They probably start they're starting now. Yeah. Yeah. It's a eight part. It's an eight part doc for sure. Got to be eight eight episodes of that. I've never what's great. I've never seen footage of the Wuhan laugh. Oh, oh wait. You wait to see. You wait. You wait see you just wait and see i have seen a plane somehow flying to the pentagon but i have not seen

oh you wait and see you wait until you see the inside of wuhan well um yes uh i don't want to say happy 9-11 but want to remember everyone that was affected by 9-11 yes it was definitely a heavy week specifically for you know new yorkers but the entire country um well new york this week didn't care about 9-11. I mean, they liked the, you know, they got the lights that go up where the towers were, but it was the U.S. Open. It was Fashion Week. Yeah.

It was fashion week. But any time I'd be waiting in line, whether it be to go to a football game with my dad, any line, my dad would start screaming, the terrorists are winning. Yeah. Screaming. I was so embarrassed. I was like, every time we had to wait in a line or do anything, my dad would scream. Scream for everybody to hear.

The terrorists are winning. Yeah. Every time. So it is nice that we're not letting the terrorists win. And we are moving on with life, still honoring everyone that was affected, but we are and still enjoying how amazing this city is and not letting the terrorists win. Terrorists will not win. Not in New York City.

It won't happen. But I was in the garden twice. I went for the 9-11 thing. You've been collecting stubs this summer. Yeah. I got a lot little stickies on my leg. Summer of 26, when you look back 20 years from now, your summer 26 scrapbook is going to be crazy.

I started doing that. You saw Jay-Z. You saw Dave Chappelle. You saw Bryce and Tell. I started doing that a long time. I have a, like, it's not organized, but I have a bag of, like, just like tickets and shit. Yeah. That, like, just to remember those things.

But yeah. I found my all-star game ticket. Oh, where? In 2001. NBA 2001, NBA 2001, greatest all-star game. That was when T-Mack threw it off the backboard? Yes, I believe so. Then that was by far the best.

That's when the East came back. Yeah, I rescinded the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that was probably the greatest. In D.C. Greatest All-St. And that was before, that was a year 90th, that was February, before 9-11. When the world was still a little, you know.

Yeah. No, that was definitely the best. The greatest. So I found that ticket. I still have that ticket. That's probably one of the, my few things in my memory bill. I'm like, that special. Hell of you.

Yeah. Yep. That T-Mack one right there. That ticket right there. Yeah. I'm sure that's on YouTube. I have to just go sit and, like, put that on the big screen and rewatch that all-star game. Yeah.

But no, that's cool that you still have that. And I didn't even know, like, my mom has it. I didn't even know I had that. Like she has a scrapbook sheet and I was looking. I was like, what the, I didn't even know you had this. Where did you find this? I was cleaning up your room. I was like, okay, thanks.

Oh, I have to, my mom did one of those too. And I have a big bucket of like all my old video games. Yeah. I have like NFL Game Day 98 and shit. I'm going to bring them in for like a Patreon. Yeah. I have like every Tony Hawk Pro skater. I got a bunch of old Super Nintendo games.

Yeah. That could just be fun. to just go through shit on a Patreon one day. Yeah. But yeah, went last night, Sunday night, to the Bryson Tiller show, the Neo Soul Trap tour. My guy, Austin opened up. He's doing the entire tour.

Also had Ty, Majid Jordan, and then obviously, Bryson Tiller. It was in there, man. I didn't realize how many young fans Bryce and Tiller has. Oh, yeah. Like. Yeah, absolutely. Kids with, and that, I was laughing at Austin.

because Austin is by far our most famous friend now. And he's turned into like an international dance DJ. Like I don't think Austin has listened to hip hop in 10 years. Yeah. So. Good for Austin. So all. He's not missing much.

Oh, he's having a blast. See what happens when you're using the monot class week. Yeah, life gets, I'm telling you, life gets better when you stop listening to hip hop. I'm telling you, the hotels are way different. Yeah, yeah, 100%. Absolutely. So Austin, again, like, he's super famous on TikTok for like, his dance remixes and like Austin's a DJ for real.

Like he'll sit there with the MPC while he's DJing. Yeah. With all the dance stuff. So he, his show is really great. But this is an R&B show. So in Utah where they kicked it off, Austin tried to get his dance set off.

And the whole crowd was like, no. No. So Austin had to dig into his Paloosa folder. Every song was from 2016. Yeah. It's probably the last time Austin listened to hip-hop. Yeah. And you know what's crazy about that is you can't play,

none of the music of the artists that are performing at that show. Like, Austin can't play no Bryson. No. And so... You can't play no Tadale. He can't play no Majid. And on top of that, we were going through, like, just his set in the green room. And Leon Thomas walked by. And I was like, well, there goes all your mutt remixes. Take those out of your set. Yeah, you can't play. You can't play none of that shit. Like, damn, see, that's the whack part of my being on a great tour as a DJ.

You can't play none of the artist music. Party shit went crazy. And Austin, every now and then would start to get a little it. You could see it. He'd start to get a little bored of just playing Bobby Shmurda. And then he'd get over there and start remixing shit. And it was like, nope, you're losing the crowd. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

You don't have to do that. Not in the garden. He had, not, what's the dance Drake album? Why am I blanking? Honestly, never mind. No, the newest one. Oh, made of honor? Made of honor.

He got some. of honor shit off when he was it made of honor with Habibti. Habibti is the more R&B one. That's the more R&B one. Yeah. That stuff worked, but your party, all the party records went inside.

Okay. But Bryson was great. He literally did trap soul from front to back. And as someone that has a lot of stickers on their leg, I say this confidently. The loudest I've ever heard the garden was Jake Cole K.O. D. This was, I have never been to a show where the crowd,

screamed every lyric from the beginning of his set to the end. I didn't hear Bryson. Bryson could have literally not performed for all I know. I've never seen a crowd

First of all, you know, obviously don't want to see Dirk go to prison for the rest of his life and be away from his family. We never want that. But on the flip side of that, they are victims involved in all of this. There are families that are victims involved in all of this. So we want to, you know, continue to pray for them and that they find justice and that they find peace. But hopefully through all of this, because, you know, obviously you see a lot of people posting, Dirk Not Guilty and people rejoicing. And we understand that part of it. But I hope from all of this, a lot of these young guys see this and they look at it.

And they understand that that street shit is dead, bro. Like, all of the guys you think are your bros and the homies and they're going to ride for you and they're going to hold it down. I'm like when it get too tough and it get hot, your home boy that you thought was your man and your brother and your blooder and all this other shit you like to call each other going to get right on that stand and start pointing the finger, start trying to place blame, not take accountability for his actions. It's like, what's the point of it all?

You know what I mean? Like I just hope the young, the young cats in the street is looking at that part of all of this too. Like just look at what happens when it all, you know, once those people knock on the door at five in the morning and put you in those cuffs. Like just look at everything that happens after that. Yeah. I hope that they're learning that part of it. You know what I mean?

So yeah, rejoicing Dirk, you know, not being found not guilty. But just learn from this shit, man. Learn from this shit. And, you know, I know things are going to happen because circumstances and a lot of these environments that we come from, I get it. But a lot of this shit also can be avoided to. Like, I understand the pitfall. that we face in our communities and the, you know, the potholes that we got to kind of maneuver around. Sometimes we don't, we don't maneuver around them.

So we get caught up. But, I mean, I just think in 2026, you know, now you have so many different ways and opportunities to make it out and, you know, so many ways to be creative and, you know, so much information available to you. Like, I just think that we need to find other ways because the ways that we were taught, sometimes you get to a point where like myself where you just realize like we was lied to we was taught the wrong things like we didn't have to do that you know what I mean um and then the guys that you looked up to that you think are honorable and it's at the third you live long enough to find

out that no they're not they're pieces of shit too they did some fucked up shit yeah so it's like what is all of this for like what do we what are we chasing with this lifestyle that we so infatuated with I mean, it just ends one or two ways. Either your man snitches on you or you go to jail or your man dies or your man kills you and ends up sleeping with your baby mother. Like, it's just, why do we keep putting ourselves in that type of situation to just have to deal with that and put our families through that? That's the other part of this thing too. You put your families through a lot of this, you know, struggle and grief and pain.

It's just like a cycle that we, I think we just need to kind of. move away from as best we can. Again, I know it's, you know, it's nothing that's going to happen overnight, but we got to pay attention to the things that happen in these moments and these trials and just say, like, you know, is it worth it? And to me, I don't think it's worth it. I think it's better opportunities. I think there's better ways to kind of make better your situation that you're in.

Because one thing about it, when they slam those cell doors and you got 20 years, you're going to start thinking about all other ways you could have made, you know, 50,000. $1,000, like, because y'all be going to jail for life for 75 grand. Less. You're being generous with 75. You are being very generous. So, yeah, just smarten up, man. But, you know, first things first, continue prayers to Dirk and his family as they maneuver

through the rest of this trial. Cuando's family as well. You know, he lost his cousin in this. Prayers to the victims and their families as well. And hopefully, man, you know, through all of this, we can just find a way to just do better and be better for each other in our communities. Yeah, and to your point, like, I would never expect Dirk and Cuando to, like, you know, take a photo together or like... That's asking for a lot.

Because, yeah, they both, allegedly, whoever was involved in it or was not involved in it, either way, they both lost people very, very close to them. So I would never expect them to just take a photo, but, or do music or, you know, and I know, both them are Muslim. I know Cuando put his flag down and he's really on some peaceful shit. Like, I'm not on that time of time. I just hope it can be somewhat of an example of like, look at, you have every result here. Yeah. Jail, ratting, dead.
