Here's what you missed.
People wake up and go, oh damn, wait a hold up.
They change all of that.
Yes.
It's real.
This is a wholesale attack.
It is targeting black people in every federal age.
to see it's raw white folks have never allowed that reckoning to last more than a decade catch roland martin's daily commentary on the black information network

we are back we are back mall's on his midship he can't move slept wrong man just put him in a wheelchair
yeah my age you sleep wrong man it's like it's a week she's got him bury me out back man yeah
Yeah.
Send me off the greener pastures, man.
My neck is all twisted right now, but I'm good, though.
Maybe do, I did acupuncture when my shoulder was messed up.
It kind of helped.
I don't know.
I don't think it's there.
I think I just need to stretch and, you know, probably get a massage over the weekend or something like that.
Well, we're in the right area for that.
Oh, definitely.
Probably gets something else batted around if you want.
Yeah, I mean, come on, man.
You know, release some stress.
Yeah.
That's probably what I do.
You're holding all the stress there.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
I've been practicing semen retention.
Oh, okay.
Nice.
You know what I mean?
and trying to, I mean, hold on to the light force.
Is there like a meal prep version of that?
Like, do you have a goal you're trying to hit?
Is there an app?
I'm just trying to see how long I can go without releasing the hounds.
Got.
You know what I mean?
Just how.
Don't make me laugh, my neck hurt.
Does that affect any, like, lady friend needs?
Like, is that a little selfish that you're on this retention plan?
And they have needs, too.
It's never selfish when you're trying to,
become a better version of yourself.
Gotcha.
And if somebody deems that to be selfish,
then that's not the type of people you need in your life.
When you're working on you,
Rory, people are supposed to support you working on.
Yeah, you have to show up as your best.
Right.
And those that have an issue with that,
I mean, that's the universe kind of, you know,
telling you, listen, maybe you need to move away.
Maybe this is the energy that's holding you back from being,
breaking through that next barrier.
You know what I mean?
Fucking hers would stop the progress.
Nah, but stopped it.
But, you know, it's like, let's be intentional with sex.
you know what I mean
let's be intentional
we're releasing the
deen the loins
I hear that
well end of summer
I guess it's a good time
to start
yeah spring
then by Christmas
it's kind of like a
like a fall
like a fall cleanse
you know
before the leaves
start the fall
you must
you must shed you
you must shed you
yeah
you know what I mean
no for sure
I totally understand
no November
no November
that's from
I'm getting ahead of it
I'm getting ahead of it
so by November
it's a breeze
a cakewalk
no
y'all try to start
November 1st
and then it's y'all
you're struggling
about November 6th.
Say you start now in September.
By November, that's just, that'll just be who you are.
That's your identity.
That's legitimately who you know.
After 30 days.
That's who everyone sees now.
That's just who I am.
It's not even like, no, nut November.
It's just like, no, this is just mall.
I think there's no nut mall.
Yeah, this is no nut mall like for life, right now.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, this is just who I am.
Was Kevin Gates on Sunday conversation?
I think he was on three years.
I don't know if I believe anything that Kevin Gates says.
Kevin Gates wouldn't be able to walk if he didn't nuts.
He said he started a car with his bare hands, which we all thought was like the biggest cap ever.
And then we went on the internet and mad people were doing it.
That's the easy thing to do.
See, okay, I didn't know that you could just start cars with your hands.
I mean, you got to know what you're doing.
But mechanics do that all the time.
But it's just the battery might be dead or something.
You just sit in that like this?
No, you don't do that.
It's a way to do it.
And it's just like, you know, the car starts.
Yeah.
But like people thought that Kevin Gates, like, created fire when you said that.
It was like mechanics.
It's all that seamen retention.
Mechanics building up.
It's like Jerome Avenue and the Bronx do that every day.
That's like a part of just like the routine.
I mean, I assumed a crackhead had taught him how to do that.
Somebody that works on cars.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know how to do that.
It's not a hard thing to do.
Well, prayers for your neck for sure.
Thank you, man.
Appreciate you.
And prayers for the neck that you're not getting.
Yes.
Prayers for the new neck.
Damaris, welcome back.
Oh, thank you.
What was baby D?
She was here yesterday?
She was here, but like, she didn't say nothing to club.
Oh, okay, okay, okay, yeah.
So, yeah, I guess it is.
Yeah.
Yes.
But I know, I know we just saw it.
That's what I'm like, welcome back from where.
You saw yesterday last night.
Well, I feel like you missed a lot of stuff.
Yeah, I was so scared when I was gone.
No, we had a thing that was happening.
I was like, God damn, I need to be at work, which I did good.
Y'all did well.
What happened?
We got a lot of new music, a lot of good new music.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
It's always a good time.
This is that time of year, though, I think we're like, you know, people try to put out their best.
Like, the summertime is usually like, you know, people just like want to have fun and have, you know what I mean?
Like put out music that people kind of like grew to.
But I think towards the fourth quarter is kind of like when people like, all, let's put out the music that is going to like define my like year.
Yeah, everyone I feel like does the single chasing at the top of the summer to try to get a summer record and then they do full projects.
Yeah.
Fall, I mean, fall usually has the best music, in my opinion.
But no, Demaris, we did miss you.
It was maybe a good episode to miss because it was a lot of misogynistic topics that.
Oh, it felt so good not to hear somebody say I'm cutting that out.
Like, we didn't care for accountability.
Not to have to apologize to women.
Y'all should do that more often.
I'm trying to.
For sure.
I hate apologizing the women.
I don't even be sorry half the time.
But I got to say it all I get canceled.
men can't be men no more in this country what the fuck is going on i've been trying to tell you that
there is an attack on straight white males but you will not listen to me straight whites straight white males
we're under attack in this country for real yeah tell me about your struggles
you've heard about minds for 400 years tell me about tell me about this new film just turn on
fox they'll tell you everything tell me about this i can't even walk outside yeah it's crazy
streets are dangerous for white men now yeah can't say or do anything
Yeah. Boys can't be boys.
Man.
It's bad out here right now, man. It's bad out here.
Well, anyways, what happened?
Why are you bringing up Charlie Kirk on our screen right now?
You're going to AI Charlie Kirk?
You don't do that. You don't play with that.
See?
See what I said? Now our pain is just a joke.
Yeah, see? You're just laughing at the white man's, you know what me, his plight.
His plight.
Because everyone knows how much I love Charlie Kirk.
Anyways, yes.
We got the Drake FOMO stream on, what was that, Wednesday night?
Tuesday night, Tuesday night, FOMO stream.
They pushed it back.
I was nervous.
Didn't know if Drake had gotten the edit back yet.
But we got what appeared to be five new records, an extended record classic, which was one of my favorites out of the three.
And then a few interlude snippets, damage done.
They're calling it the Gaza record.
I don't know if that's really the name.
vices and then a Janus remix.
How did you view?
I thought it was good.
I do have a gripe with Drake in these streams,
and it's not a negative thing.
I just wish he would put the stream up
right after the stream ends with all these.
Oh, like the...
Yeah, like I had shit to do,
so I came in halfway through it.
And then even with Iceman stream,
yeah, there was people that ripped it,
and then he eventually put the videos out individually.
but I wanted to like watch the full stream
and if you usually streams
they'll save and then you can just click it
and start it from the beginning. So the full stream is not
available yet on his YouTube? No
and I don't know if it's UMG
a lot of people have been getting strikes for it
like I can't even find a bootleg
version of it. No.
So yeah
I may or may not have a file with my phone
if you don't worry about it. Send me over the Dropbox link
so I can fully appreciate
but from what I did see and then of course
there you know people are going to rip every
single part of it. So I do feel like I saw the full stream at least twice. I mean, the visuals were
really, really good. I like the new records sound good again, not on DSP, so it's hard to like gauge
the sticking power of like, I would love to just listen to them in the car. But we know what that
choosing Texas, what Don Tyler was going to do. Yeah. I mean, every girl in Texas is going to have that
on their social media. That song is going to go platinum this fall.
just went to, that's all you're going to hear.
I mean, I guess, but what do you think?
And I don't know if this is something you've spoken to him about.
I'm really just asking as a fan, what is the strategy of not putting these five new songs on DSPs?
Especially the remix.
Like, I mean, that's the biggest record in the world right now.
My guess, again, you know, we, yes, we spoke about things, but I didn't ask what the plan of the strategy was.
But my guess is we'll probably be recording Thursday.
will probably be getting the FOMO tonight.
Oh, like on a Friday release, like would maybe just got it.
Okay, okay.
So that's just my guess.
That would make sense.
All right, I understand that part.
But yeah, like I'd love to give a full, full review of these records, but, you know,
you can't find the stream.
It's tough to listen to them again.
But what did you think of the visuals as far as like, you know?
Oh, I thought they were incredible.
I know he said, um.
Shout out to Theo, too, man.
Theo's been doing an incredible job.
Shout out to the whole.
dream crew team over there.
You know, it's the things that they've done.
And obviously, Drake has into this phase and this chapter of his, of his career.
And I'm guessing of his life as well, where things are now starting to feel independent.
And it's starting to feel like he has no issue opening his own account to fund his ideas, to fund his visions, to fund, to fund,
his music.
Yeah.
Well, he's betting like $2 million a night on WMBA games.
Well, yeah.
I think he can dump some money into a red camera.
I mean, yeah, like I think that, you know, he has, we understand that the position that Drake has worked itself into and he has the capital to fund any of his ideas.
But to actually see an artist at his level do it and, you know, do it with the people close to him and the people around him.
I think it's just a cool thing
just to watch unfold and watch happening.
Leo's obviously been doing a lot of his visuals for years now
and to see them take it to another level with the whole streaming thing now.
It's just dope to watch happen, man.
I think that this is something that a lot of creatives should be
and are inspired by.
And I'm just excited to see, you know,
where he takes it into this next chapter.
Yeah, I was going to ask,
because I know he said it was directed and put together by the guys,
I think was what he said on Instagram,
but I was going to ask if Theo, because I know Theo's been with him for a really long time,
and Theo's a super talented director.
I think that's, I think this version of visuals is Drake's Lane.
Like, remember the short film, Jungle around the time of, if you're reading this too late?
Like, I thought that was Drake's strongest visual representation at that time.
I think he's had visually some great ones like, hell yeah, fucking right.
Love that video.
I think Kanye really fucked up best I ever had.
Like sometimes Drake's visuals could be hit or miss.
But I think the short film version, what he did with Iceman, like the Jungle One, and this are his lane when it comes to visuals.
This was shot.
It was like A24 type cinematography.
Like they killed this on the visual side.
I thought it was really, really good.
I like the callbacks too because I enjoy now watching people get overly upset as being one of the people that did say, hey, I want to see Drake matured more.
I've now turned into the person that likes to laugh at you guys freaking out when he goes to
Hot Topic with a goth girl.
I like lean into it.
Have Lena show up to your house.
It's fucking funny to me.
But I think that's part of it.
That's part of the whole like, you know, because for years he's heard he's corny.
He needs to mature.
I think that he's realized that no matter what he does, people are going to have an issue
with it.
Yeah.
So obviously he's done something right in his career.
Obviously, he's made the right decisions.
some he probably looks back in which he would have did differently but for the most part
Drake has got it right so I think all of these visuals are kind of like leaning to that of you know
oh yeah I think I'm corny and I should be doing this now I'm going to be in my house dancing
you know with a Michael Jackson jacket on yeah like just you know what I'm saying in my big ass house
with sexy red coming out to perform in my bedroom like I'm going to do exactly what it is that I want to do
yeah there's nothing that y'all can tell me there's nothing that y'all can tell me there's nothing that y'all
say that's going to make me feel like,
you think I'm corny?
Okay, watch this.
Watch how corny I can really be.
But I really don't think
like there's anything corny about dancing in your kitchen.
Listen.
When your house looks like that,
you can do whatever the fuck.
You can do whatever you want to do.
Well, that is why I do appreciate
that he is using all the money that he does deserve
and earned and worked hard for
to use that other artists can't do.
Because it's tough with artists now,
I feel like with music videos,
you hear like, yo, videos don't matter anymore.
It's not so much they don't matter.
It's that music videos now have to compete with an A-24
or the amount of incredibly shot shows we get on Netflix per week.
With the most insane budgets ever, yes,
it's tough to grab someone's attention
that has access to all of that
with a three-minute, $50,000 budget video.
Like, it's really tough.
So because Drake has put himself in a position
where he can't afford all these things,
I do appreciate that as someone that likes visuals, that he is still cares about that in something
that's kind of like a dead art to some degree.
Right.
Because obviously not every artist can do it at this level.
So it's nice to see the people that can do it.
I appreciate it the stream.
He still had, he has some tidbits in there.
Some of the, you know, the shirt he had on an hot topic, the non-kill shirt.
They have a song called The Jiggers up.
So that was like a kind of little.
little Easter egg he put
Oh, I didn't catch that one.
Oh, is there a, what's the dirt put an hour video about a Jay Z disc?
I mean, he probably dirt probably did.
I'm joking.
I'm fucking with you.
Oh, he is.
He's putting it together.
He's probably still working.
But, you know.
I didn't catch that.
Thank you for telling me.
But that's why I had, you know, I had tweeted out of attention to details because, you know,
at this point, everything is going to be intentional with Drake.
Yeah.
I think that even him putting, you know, a lot of the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the.
backdrops from some of his videos in the past.
All of that has meaning to it.
Like nothing is just, you know, I'm just doing this just to do it.
Everything now I think is intentional and has a meaning and the message behind.
A lot of it is, you know, him just having fun and doing whatever the fuck he wants to do.
But he's still going to have those moments where it's like, you know, if you catch that or if you caught that, then cool.
Yeah.
I liked, I forgot which record it was.
whichever was like the solo stuff
in the carnival
fair type stuff
before the Ironman
stuff just that individual stuff
I thought it was just shot really cool
it actually kind of reminded me a euphoria
I like a lot
I like that visual
we were talking off Mike
you think it's sick to ride a roller coaster by yourself
I've done that plenty of times
riding a roller coaster at night
by yourself
and I text Drake and I called him a maniac
I say you're a fucking maniac
Like, what, bro, and you can, and you could, look at that scene, you can tell he was really scared.
It's not that crazy for Rollico's.
Bro, look at how hard he was gripping up those handlebars.
Like, I know when you gripping the handlebar so tight, your hands turn white.
Like, Drake is light skin, but his hands was like powder white.
Like, you can't tell me he wasn't scared to fuck on me.
You've never been on one of those, like at the Jersey Shore, those rocking ones?
By myself, no.
Well, I mean, there was other people.
the shore, but yeah, I've gone rides by myself.
You've never gone on a roller coaster, sat in the front of the roller coaster by yourself at night.
It's never happened.
100% of it.
There was someone I didn't know sitting next to me because there was just a lot of people.
I used to go to Seaside Heights as a kid all the time.
So you weren't by yourself?
Well, that's because I can't afford to rent out all of Seaside Park.
Back to my point.
He's a maniac.
You're on a roller coaster at night by yourself.
That's some maniacal shit.
I stood in line by myself to go down the big water slide two weeks ago when I took a mar to the water park.
Weird.
Your daughter's with you.
Why not take it down with you?
Well, I mean, my friend's mother was watching her.
I said, I want to go try the big slide.
Again, weird.
What, I'm supposed to always do that with a friend?
Your daughter's there.
She can't go on that big ass, the drop one?
Oh, yeah, no, no.
She doesn't even wait.
She doesn't weigh enough.
You got to be, it's a high requirement for that one.
But yeah, I mean, even messaging behind the amusement park by yourself.
You know, all of that, you know, of, you know, basically isolating themselves, secluding himself now.
I think all of that has his meaning and, you know, honestly, it's very clear at this point that, you know, he chooses to do it by himself.
Yeah.
That all speaks to him obviously moving into what I believe is a level of independence.
Like, I'm going to do this by myself.
But there's a flip side to that coin of you bring it up.
It doesn't look that fun when you do isolate yourself.
at the funnest place in the world.
Now you just have to fare alone.
In business?
I think it's a great thing.
Cartman did that in South Park.
Stole all the butter's money and...
How do you remember that?
How was that on your brain?
I don't know.
Jesus.
I actually didn't mind the Yeat verse.
Yeah.
I was kind of like, okay.
This isn't that bad.
I like the other Don's Oliver song.
Again, I just want these back on.
or not back on, but on streaming
so I can fully hear them.
I was a tad bit offended
that you and Drake speak so much
and like you also know Kappa's.
Like I don't know if
Drake had to hire
some of those noops. Like we would have done it off the
strength if you just would have connected us all.
Like I would have brought all the New Jersey
to the classic video shoot.
To do the shoulders.
Of course.
I think it was
it was shoulder capacity. There was a capacity.
there was at capacity with too many shoulders.
There was enough shoulders.
I think they missed.
A lot of weighty in there.
Yeah, they reached the shoulder capacity.
I was not aware that Benadon was a capital.
That was news to me.
Shout to the news.
Yeah, I've seen him on stream, I think, before.
He was at some show or something.
He was on stage.
Well, I mean, I appreciated that.
I thought that was cool that they threw that in there.
And classic being one of my favorite records from everything.
And I like that extended, like, remix that they put.
But I hope that ends up on the album again.
So, but shout out to the noops.
And look at that.
Look at Drake caring about the Catholics, man.
I mean, you just showing love to, you know,
showing love to the Greeks.
I just feel like if you saw the call sheet,
you could have just been like, yo, Roy, yo.
You on your line want to go?
For three shoulders.
They got room for three more shoulders, man.
If you want to be one of the shoulders that they let it, man,
show up over here at this time.
Listen, Usher on the tour with Chris Brown,
clearly there's some noop in his choreography team.
Like he's doing Kappa strolls and that shit.
Oh, okay.
No, no, like not even like kind of.
And then I forgot what the Chris Brown...
Do y'all get offended about that?
Like if you're not a Kappa and you do something similar to...
What do you call it?
Y'all strut?
You're strolling, stroll.
My bad, baby, D. I know strolling strut is...
Men are not supposed to strut.
I get it.
No, sometimes you got a strut.
Sometimes you got to strut in place.
You can do whatever you want as a human.
I don't care.
I don't have nothing to say about it.
You got to strut sometimes.
I get it.
It's a mixed bag.
It's hypocritical like everything else in the world.
If somebody that was not Usher was doing it, yes.
All the news would be offended.
High key, a lot of them may swing on you.
But like when Chris-
So it's okay if you're famous and you do it.
That's why I said like there is, I'm just being truthful here.
Okay.
Sorry to all the Cap of Abasota.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's call a spade of spade.
Right.
It's called Diamond a diamond.
Right.
Like, yes.
Everyone would get furious if Mall started strolling it here.
But if Drake hit a little shimmy, we'd be like, yo.
Y'all repost the video.
Y'all, okay.
All right, I get it.
That's real.
That's honest.
Like, was it Boosie?
Yeah.
Boosey wore that.
That's kind of disrespectful, though.
Boosey's famous?
He wasn't, like, Chris Brown added it to his choreography.
I forgot what hit record it was in the music video.
Like, it's straight up cap.
But he has.
Kappa's behind him.
Okay.
Like so that...
The representation is there.
Okay.
So then that's a little better.
Then just throwing on the letters and going to a basketball game.
That's...
Well, throwing on the letters...
That's just...
Yeah.
Throwing on the letters is totally different.
I get that.
Yeah.
So is he not...
Is Bouski not honorary?
So Kappa is the only fraternity or sorority out of the D-9
that doesn't have honorary members.
We don't allow it.
And no disrespect to, like, orgs that do.
We just don't do that.
You're not, you're not with the...
Nah.
I mean...
You got to really walk the burning sands.
No, because that's illegal.
Well, not technically walk burning sands, but like, you got to be illegal.
You got to really go through it to be, okay, I get it.
So no honorary capers.
No, there's no honorary capes.
But I mean, we got...
Maybe you could have, you know what I mean?
Like, spoke to some people from me and got me in there, but all right, so good.
No, if you just pay your $1,500 and take...
the test you could be that's all it takes it's like a so home membership like so house it's
always been that way I didn't know that or look up when they got when pledging became illegal
I think it was like it's illegal to pledge yeah hell yeah it is but they know that kids are doing
it so like why is uh yeah 1980s 1990s that makes sense pledging is not illegal but hazing is illegal
hazing is that's what I say they know kids cross every fucking year in colleges
Like, how does it illegal?
Hazing is what they put on donuts mall.
No one does that.
Shout out to one of my favorite Spike Lee movies.
School days?
School days, yes.
Love school days.
He had, that was kind of like, you know, shedding light in the 80s and 90s on the whole, you know, hazing and college thing.
Netflix put out a like hazing type movie.
I forgot the name of it about Black Creek organizations.
It got a lot of flack.
I didn't think it was a bad movie, and I thought it was kind of accurate, from what I've heard about people that have done that.
The hazing.
It was a little low-low budget, but it wasn't bad.
But school days, I mean, school days is a classic.
Yeah, classic movie.
Oh, no, it was called The Burning Sanss.
There you go, see.
Look, come on, man.
But they're leaning into, like, that being illegal.
Yes, and I'll get it.
I understand that.
But.
Also on the stream, Drake announced tour.
One of the records tour, so a tour is happening.
is coming.
2027.
Yes.
Predictions.
Stadium tour?
Possibly.
I do think that because we talked about it, we went to the last few Drake shows, and we talked
about it years ago just visually, production-wise, what he was doing with his shows.
I think that this tour might be an entirely different level of production as far as
what the show looks like.
Yeah.
And just what the catalog is,
because, I mean,
obviously he would be touring
than three albums that just came out,
but you also have a 20-year career.
Yeah.
Like now you're well, well,
well into the Legacy Act shit
where it's like,
no, I want to hear records from 2010, too,
while you're out here.
But, I mean, I don't see why not,
why Drake wouldn't do a stadium.
Like, get all the fog in all the nonsense
that has been said over the past few years with everything.
But the last,
Drake tour, he did a whole week at Madison Square Garden, a whole week at Barclays.
Yeah.
I think that adds up to a fucking stadium.
Do you think he does something like every night in each city, he does multiple shows and
every night is a different, a different set, a different thing?
That would be, I mean.
I think he's the one artist that could do that.
That would be super far.
I also saw, I mean, I know that Australian tour got pushed back, but didn't he have like
multiple stages at the one in Australia?
Yeah.
with like different eras.
Like I think something like that could be cool to go through where you do that per night.
But yeah, if he were to do arenas, I would prefer that style.
What if he does the shows?
Like he does a beat team made of honor and it's like ladies only allowed at those shows.
You brought that up before.
I think it would be a great idea.
I think he could get that off.
I think he could get that off.
Back to Peach.
What's the lady?
I mean, we would have to all sit down as a community and with the WMBA and
decide.
Like, exactly.
Did the WMBA ever figure that out?
What did they land on that?
We don't, no update?
Okay.
They're still in the meeting.
Oh, they're still.
They're still trying to figure out what the W and WNBA means.
Okay.
They're still trying to figure it out.
All right.
Until we forget about it and move on to the midterms, they're still going to be in the meeting.
Got it.
Okay.
No, but I do, I do think Drake could put out, pull that off.
I think, I do think that he can pull out off, especially with these three albums that
that he put out, different vibes.
I think he can pull that off.
And outside of, you know, Pige's joke or just the times in 2026 with gender and everything like that, that would be a tough thing to pull off even without all of that.
Because the amount of guys that would try to sneak into, like, it would just become a problem.
It sounds really cool on paper, but you couldn't pull that off.
Why not?
There'd be loopholes, guys trying to get in.
It would be, I just don't see it going smooth.
at the box on. Well, you just have Mom Donnie put, you know,
agents at the gates. Put the fences back up.
Put the fences back up around the garden. Tell her, you know,
if it's somebody who you're not sure about, you reach down to come to cough, just to
just to figure. Just to figure it out.
But then also, where do you draw? Like, what if Jalen Brunson wants to go?
Is it ladies plus Jalen? Because you can't tell Jalen Bruncy and he can't go to the
Garland. He got to go to Iceman.
Iceman for the fellas?
Yeah.
And that's why double standards should exist.
That's why they do exist.
Imagine if it was just Ice Man, just the fellas.
Imagine a bunch of men.
I'd come in here as TD.
I'd be TDE by that point.
Imagine a bunch of men screaming, Janis, shut the fuck.
An arena full of men just screaming, Janet, shut the fuck up.
That's the most manly shit.
Have you seen those, uh, those like,
anger retreats that men are going on now like they just go in the forest and fucking yell and
then they do ayahuasca and shit no yeah it's it's a wild fucking content just in the forest you
just fucking screaming getting their shit off oh yeah like all the rage that men oh mother nature
is gonna pay us back for this one she's cool come back yeah you haven't seen the wildfires in
can't this a direct result yeah you can't scream at mother nature but that could be like
that could be like our version of just and who's your janis right whoever you're
Janice is tell her to shut the fuck.
Everyone has a Janus.
Everybody has a Janus.
So just as the fellas, we'd all get together and get that out of our system.
I do think that he could pull off something like that, though.
Three different shows.
Same city.
Three different nights.
Yeah.
And even if the Ice Man one is just more of all your rap shit.
VT is all the dance shit.
Right.
Right.
Honestly, never mind and all of that.
Yeah, yeah.
I do think he can pull that off.
That would be fire.
And that'd be an incentive too.
like,
I'm by me to see all three.
How close are we to the Drake Country album, though?
I mean, he got,
dare I say that he took our advice.
When they're going into the hot topic,
he did get on that little emo wave
that we were saying he should get on.
Because that was a new snippet, right?
That wasn't a record we had heard.
He was on his alternative rock TRL shit there.
If we're already there,
I give it, I don't know,
five more years living in Texas.
Mike in a full one
I think it's happening
I think a Drake country album
is definitely happening
not a not a traditional country album
but I think that you know
because even on Ice Man
what song is that page
we had the intro
and then it changes
huh
Rusty was it Rusty
yes the beginning of Rusty
that has country elements to it
that was shit on
sexy songs for you
that had country elements on it
Yep.
That's one of my favorite songs.
And the only, yeah, but yeah, that shit's hard.
So he has, he has that vibe.
He's been flirting with that sound for a few albums,
for a few projects now.
But I do think that because even on the stream,
when he was at his house in Texas,
you know, driving the big pickup, you know, on the ranch.
Like he's giving us,
He's giving us the elements and the signs of, you know, leaning into that.
So I think it's definitely happening.
I kind of want to be a cowboy on the low.
You want to be a cowboy?
Like imagine just having just a plot out in Texas and like your form of transportation is like those little doom buggy.
Like you just, you got a gun.
You don't even need the gun, but it's just sitting like on the dash.
That's for coyote.
That's not really for like.
Yeah.
And like.
Truders.
That's just for like wildlife.
Yeah.
And it's just like you and dry.
nature and like you're just one with the soil. Yeah, just like I would want to live that way.
But would you do like farm shit? Like would you like, hell you.
Tend to the animals every day. Absolutely. Throw out the hay barrels. Yeah, I would love that.
I told you my favorite job ever was landscaping. But you're such a city guy. Like you wear a tote bag.
Like you can't farm life is completely different. I cut all the parks for three summers. Like I'm,
because you want like work release. It was not on work release. Work release. It was. It was
It's a good paying job.
They gave me like $12 an hour.
In 2009, that was great money.
Community service.
Like, you had to do that.
They gave me a neon yellow, like, shirt.
Yeah, that's what they give all the fellas on the side of the highway.
And I said to, I told you used to mop the nasty bathroom.
Yeah.
And somebody took a big ass shopping and put mop staff on my back.
Yeah, but that's diff.
See, mop in the bathroom in the park and cleaning up like, like real bullshit.
Not bullshit.
No, that's fertile.
See?
See, you not, you get, these Bronx guys, man.
They don't understand nature.
That's fertilizer, man.
You don't clean that up.
No, it's fertilizer.
You put that back in the earth.
No, it's fertilizer once you pick it up and take it somewhere.
But you have to pick it up.
We're just going to grow here now.
No.
I can see you living on a ranch, though.
I would love to live on a ranch.
Yeah, I could see that.
I would love all that cowboy shit.
I'd be scared in the beginning, but I get used to it.
I think it's a lifestyle that many, many people want, though.
Kind of like, you feel like you're off the grid.
Life is simple.
I just a lot of work though.
Oh yeah, for sure.
My only fear would be I would turn vegan.
Living on a farm?
How does that correlate to turn the vegan?
Like some of my West Indian friends that would go back to their family's house in Georgetown or wherever, they like kill the animal that they raise.
Yeah.
I can't do that to Hank.
Cat Williams has a funny stand up talking about that.
how he brought a bunch of land.
He has a bunch of animals, chickens, everything.
He was like, I've been ordering Uber eats.
I ain't killed.
He said I had this land for three years.
I ain't killed an animal yet.
Like, I just don't know if I could do that.
Yeah, no, you can't do it.
He's like, these are my friends.
I can't kill him.
He said, if you kill a baby goat, you're a maniac.
Like in Guyana, they raised a ghost so it's big enough so defeated.
You don't think they name it?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, no, I can't do that.
Like, farm to table when you know his name is crazy.
That's a whole different level of insanity.
I'm not that big of a cowboy.
Yeah, no, no.
I know.
I mean, I don't eat me, but I definitely wouldn't be able to do that.
I'm not watching this thing that I woke up every morning and fed and, you know,
made sure it had a clean space.
And then we decide at Christmas, this is going to be on a table.
Like, no.
And, like, even outside of the obvious, like, with cows that you would have for a while to provide milk,
and eventually kill them for beef or pigs.
Even the chickens, like in the morning,
there's no way I'm not talking to the chickens
when I'm throwing shit out in the morning.
Yeah, you'll be crazy.
Like, I'm going to get to know them.
Yeah, it's a bond that you form.
I mean, I guess it's kind of like you're here to feed me.
People look at it like that's a cycle of life,
but no, I can't do that.
But that'd be such an American thing to do, to Kat Williams point.
Own a farm and order food.
Order Uber eats.
Ordering Popeyes or Uber eats.
What's the Chris Rock joke?
Only Americans go hunting on a full stomach.
Yeah.
which is a crazy concept.
Shit is great. Only in America, man.

Staying on new music, Maul and I briefly spoke about.
the Jeney album but we wanted to wait until our amazing female counterpart.
Oh, no masaginy with that. That'd been fun.
Came back to the show.
Listen, man, this album is incredible, but Jane's the problem.
Common denominator here.
What Cardi said, am I the drama?
Jene is the drama.
I apologize for not remembering the Twitter account that I'm about to quote.
I would give credit, but I never saved it.
They don't give us credit, it's okay.
He went along, yeah, right?
They literally clip our stuff with no permission.
And they make money off of it.
Somebody tweeted out, Future in Jenei are geniuses in the fact that they can sing about being the victim so well on situations that they caused themselves.
I think that's summed it up pretty well with both of them.
Damaris, where you land on this new Jeney?
The album? I think it's amazing.
I think it's one of her, which is hard to say because all of Janay's albums are really good,
but I really like this one a lot.
I think it was like a great breakdown of what it, like, sequencing, what it feels like to realize,
oh, I'm losing myself in this relationship.
Oh, I'm with the wrong person.
Oh, you're a piece of shit and your mother should have raised you better.
Oh, but hey, I got to take some of this accountability because I should have been left a long time ago.
I knew you was a whole to, oh, I'm a piece of.
out, I'm healing. Oh, new niggas, sunshine, rainbows. I'm happy we're moving forward. I think
it's a great culmination of what that journey feels like. I think she smoked it. And I think it has
a lot of standouts. The only thing I'm not really seeing is a single. I don't really see a single.
Yeah. But does Jeney typically have the single single single? Yes. Jenae usually has a single.
So good is not a single. So good is a, if I was to point one out, so good would be a single. But
I mean, it appeared to be the one.
It was the one that entered the charts on the first day.
Yeah.
For sure.
But, you know, of course, outside of, I do like the song, but I'm sure a lot of people went to click it because it had Kendrick on it.
It has Kendrick on it.
But, I mean, Sealing's Freestyle.
I know it's not a single single, but in 2026, what's a single?
Well, when I think single, I don't mean a song that could be a single.
I mean a song that they made with it being a single in mind.
And I don't see one of those.
I think that's the Kendrick record.
She definitely made that Kendrick.
So good.
You don't get a record with Kendrick and not be looked at as a single.
And I mean this in a respectful way.
I think with the Luther blueprint and seeing the success of Luther and how they structured that song,
yes, we're trying to make a single, which there's nothing wrong with that.
It's a good record.
I'm sure they'll probably shoot a video.
If there's somebody they can get Kendrick to do a visual, it would be Janae.
So I could see a video coming from that and it being.
the actual single but as far as like I do kind of use singles these days of what is getting
traction on socials like and what people are talking about the most and to me that's sealing
it would be sealing are so good but ceilings are so good but like sealing is just not
sealing is so good but it just doesn't give like triggered is a freestyle but triggered give single
yeah it's definitely more triggered is a single you know I'm saying so ceilings if you want to click on
the lyrics. She, she, so she, when she pointed out, so Jeney tweeted, because everybody was obviously
every single lyric on this, people are attributed to Sean. Somebody. People are? I think Jenae attributed
to show. No, people, she never came out and said these lyrics are about. She ain't got to.
So. The original MP3 file said Sean Anderson freestyle. Like, what are we doing? For, for he belongs,
that people were assuming was about big Sean, because the lyrics that he belongs, you know,
can't turn a fling into a real thing, can't turn a promise to a wedding win, can't turn a hole
into a house husband, can't turn a hole into a husband, like basically he belongs to the streets,
he belongs to everybody he meets. A fan was tweeting that and she said,
song is not about him. That song is not about Sean. And people took it to as if she was saying
the whole album is not about Sean. She ain't say that. She said, he belongs is not about Sean.
Those lyrics are on, he belongs? Yes. Yeah. I think ceilings is about Sean.
I think ceiling, not ceiling, sorry. I think
feeling could possibly be about him.
But I didn't see anything with her clarifying that that song is not about him unless I missed it.
So,
sealing,
you know,
I love a little lyric breakdown.
Ma'all,
if you want to,
if you want to fix it is to end it.
Now,
when she said that,
I mean,
I could turn the song off after that one line.
The only way to fix it is to end it.
That's my bag right there.
But I don't know if you can comprehend it.
I can't spend another day pretending.
No,
I don't got no business with you.
you'd rather ask forgiveness than permission.
I'd rather be with someone who just gets it.
Because you told me that this time it'd be different,
but I ain't see no difference in you.
All right.
Well, two-way street.
Let's say that this is for podcast consideration.
This is about Sean.
We know publicly they dated.
She got, she married somebody else.
And then before she was divorced,
but separated,
got back with Sean,
and they have had an up and down
where they all go date someone else
and then they run back to each other.
You're an active participant in that
if you're not seeing change
after the fifth time,
are you a victim or volunteer
in this situation?
This isn't like,
she's gone back to Sean 10 fucking times.
Yeah, but when you have a family with somebody,
you kind of keep fighting.
Well, that was the last go-round
when they got married and had a kid.
Before that,
they had been, which we, which I've allegedly.
Yeah. We've all been in those situations where you maybe will go back to someone after you've
been in a relationship and there is someone that's actively in your life. They date someone else.
You date someone else and y'all get back together. Then y'all break up, date someone else.
That pattern. At some point, you have to take the accountability of continuing to go back
to that person. Yeah. You definitely have to take accountability for putting yourself in the same
situation over and over hoping that it would be different this time. And, you know, at some point it's like,
well maybe you like that, you know, roller coaster that.
Yeah.
You like the ups and downs and you like the reconciliation.
You like coming back to this person and how it makes you feel having that new feeling over and over again after you'll break up and then get back.
But that's a human thing.
I think we continue to put ourselves in situations.
I say all the time, sometimes you're just socially lazy.
You don't want the whole process of meeting somebody new, having to learn them, getting used to their pheromones.
It's just too much.
Like I don't want to keep going through that.
I'd rather go back to somebody that I'm comfortable with that I know we have history.
Hoping that this time, the outcome is different.
We get it right this time.
But, you know, after a while, it's like, that situation ain't good for you, though.
It's not going to change.
And, I mean, not to be too deep.
And again, Janay, I know you're not listening.
But this is all healthy conversation.
We're not, we don't know if this really has anything to do with you and Sean.
We're just using the lyrics and everything.
And applying it to our.
life. What gets really fucked up
because usually why you always go back to that
person is because they get it, to your
point. Social laziness, this person
knows me, they know everything
about me. I feel comfortable with them. We can just
be quiet and just chill and we,
they get it. That's why you typically
go back to them. Yeah. After you
break up with somebody.
Yeah.
That's who she's saying doesn't get it now.
That's the worst reality check ever of the person
you thought like, oh, they get it.
No.
Go to, can you plug it?
the lyrics to Ghost.
I want to talk about that record.
Can we read those last four lines
real quick?
This is our ceiling still.
And that's the type of shit
I know you always been on,
but I'm the type of bitch
that you should never do wrong.
And you're the type of bitch
only a mother can make
when they daddy don't stay,
oh baby.
And you're the type of bitch
only a mother can make.
When a daddy don't stay.
Mm-mm-mm-mm.
I want to pull up,
I mean,
she...
Go to call a nick's fatherless.
Go to a ghost.
I think it's the second or first song.
It's not that child's fault.
Just the first verse.
Just give them first verse.
All first verse.
Just give them all first verse.
No, actually, it's not the first verse.
Go down.
Please scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll.
Right there.
Verse three.
Classic.
Now, this is to me classic Janay right here.
Jenae is great at giving you all of the pain and all of the suffering.
But then she'll find a.
sweet melody and find a kind of like a flow state where she'll kind of take accountability.
Right.
And on the verse three of goes, she says, I got a vision for myself.
I got to get it for myself.
I got to listen to myself in competition with myself.
This is between me and myself.
I don't need help.
I need myself.
I take my else all by myself.
Nobody else is just myself.
I got to handle it myself.
I've been mishandling.
myself. I'm not going to lie. When you hear your lady say those words, she ain't never coming back.
Clip. Nope. You can forget about it. Nope. Like whatever we was trying to work, we're just going to be
better as friends. If that. If that, you know, maybe acquaintance to say hello and passing. If that.
If that. But when she says I've been mishandling myself, I don't know what you did, homie,
but she ain't coming back. Like, that's completely like she, something happened. Something happened.
She had a talk with whoever her God is, had a revelation, and she something just went off in her head where it's like, yo, I'm playing myself.
I can't continue to do this.
Once somebody take accountability and be like, you know what, I'm not even that mad at you because I knew better.
That's peace.
That's when you found peace.
I knew better.
So I forgive you.
I actually need to get back to myself because I've been mishandling myself.
You can go and say goodbye.
And fellas, do yourself a, do yourself a favor.
But when a woman says that, leave her alone.
Facts.
Because a lot of y'all, like, y'all do this thing where a woman, you just leave her alone.
Like, your time is up.
She gave you ample time, ample opportunity to try to get it right, to try to be in her life.
It ran its course.
It's over.
Whenever you hear a woman saying, I've been mishandling myself, I got to do it by myself.
She's getting hushed together.
She's focusing on.
Please leave that woman alone.
As men, we got to recognize that.
You know what?
Like, let me just let that woman do a thing.
And that's where you start saying dumb shit, like the beginning of ceiling.
Like, yo, this time will be different.
Yeah.
No.
No.
Stop.
Just leave that woman alone.
Just leave her alone, you know, go find somebody that's, you know, for you.
But this woman is gone.
What hurts more in these two scenarios?
I know my answer.
Is it hurt more when she starts saying things like your mother could only raise a bitch like this when your daddy is.
It starts, like, digging into, like, personal shit that you told her.
Or when she says, I'm not even mad at you.
I mishandled this.
No, that, that's the, you know, it's over.
Stings so much more.
It's over at that point.
Like, she's, she's completely done with it.
She's detached herself from any type of emotions and anything that it comes when it comes to you.
So, yeah, I think that's when you have, that's when you know that the relationship is done.
When a woman starts talking like that.
Demaris, do you think most women know that about men?
That, yeah, sometimes it hurts.
when you guys call us bitches and bring up things we told you in confidence to use against us
and that's why your dad left.
That doesn't hurt as much as just being peaceful and going like, I'm not mad at you.
You are who you are.
I'm cool.
That stings way more.
I think some women know that.
That's one of the things I tell my friends when we do a manipulation one-on-one.
But at the end of the day, you can't fake the piece that comes with really letting shit go.
If you sit up here and say, like, if you just do the pretend, oh, I'm not mad at you this and that just to hurt him.
It doesn't, it negates itself if you go back.
So you can't fake that.
Like, if you really want that punishment of letting a nigga know that you've healed on and moved on, then emotionally, then you have to actually leave and not come back.
That's the only way to get that message across.
So if you don't, if you're not ready to let that person go, then don't, you can't pull that out of the woodwork.
You got to mean that for it to hurt.
Janaya is so, oh, she even gave us a Christmas song.
That break song, that's a Christmas, that's a Christmas carol.
I can't wait for Christmas.
The break, that's a Christmas break.
That entire album is fire.
If I had to pick the standouts for me, my favorites will probably be nothing,
ghost, obviously, nothing nice to say.
Yeah, fire.
I'm sure.
You know, you're lucky I'm saved.
I actually, hey, go ahead.
Do your thing.
And then she sampled, I think, a song, scroll away now,
a song that I think every
I don't mind
I think every West Coast artist has sampled
Yeah
Used that sample that she used and I don't mind
But a dope record
One of my favorite records on the
On the album as well
I like the Tiger song too
The Tiger song feels like I'm in
A LA house party
With a crop top on
And some low-rise jeans and some flip-flops
I'm mad at the record at all
Yeah and I'm just bouncing
Like Tiger never misses with like that type of
I like so good with Kendrick
Like Kendrick gave her a lot
on that song.
What I mean by that is, you know, sometimes you get a feature and it ain't really no feature.
That was like a feature.
Oh, they made that song together.
They made that song together.
In person.
Like, yeah.
Some mics in the booth.
That was, yeah.
What you're thinking about neighbors with Larry June.
I like it.
I like it.
I think it's nice and I think we said this on Monday.
It's funny tearing up all your exes at the top of the album and at the bottom of the album.
In between, you just have a nice bubbly record with your man.
The bottom of the album isn't even really tearing up.
No, it's not.
Beach Boy, I like Paul's Beach Boy is fire.
Yeah, I like Nami's Haiku.
I think that was the photo song for her daughter.
Like, I feel like that's like more feel good
toward like the bottom.
I feel like she tore her ex up in the beginning.
And it's like, oh, by the way, new nigger.
We happy.
We're bombing.
Like, yeah.
That's how it feels.
Once you release that hurt.
Like, you know what?
I'm not mad at you.
No, that's what's up.
I've been mishandling myself.
Let me go.
That's what's up.
Handle myself the right way and hand the handle bars to another nigga.
But the one thing y'all.
listen is that ceiling record that beat if big Sean decides to jump on that beat i don't think he's
going to do that right because that's a lot of space that's a big show yeah a lot of space for
i'm gonna just say if big Sean has something that he wants to say in response to any it is the beat
that he would probably be doing that on is sailing freestyle so yeah he could even double time on that
listen man i'm just telling you when i was listening to that i heard boy i heard boy i
heard it. I was like, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And no. Yeah, Sean, he's going on his way.
And knowing how, like, diabolical women are, there could be some shit we don't even know about
where that beat is from maybe a TM 88 part two album that got scratched. Because that you're,
that's a Sean flow. That's a Sean BPM. 100%. I hear Sean's cadence on that. He got space,
like you said, to do double time or he could slow his flow down and really like,
his point across.
I mean, if Sean
is going to respond to anything, I don't, you know, I don't think
he will. I don't think it would become
one of those back and forth things. I don't see
a big Sean and Jeney going through anything
like that, but... He's not really that type of...
If he just has anything he wants to say, even if he wants to
apologize and take
accountability publicly. I mean, all right.
Sean did make his
diamond record. I don't
fuck with you. But he did say
on no more interviews,
I'm not making any more records about
my ex, even though the last one went triple platinum.
I don't really see Sean reply to this.
Even though he has in the past, I just don't see it.
Okay.
I hope he does.
Especially, I feel like if our assumptions are right from the lyrics, which we do not know,
these people repeat and we don't know anything, if our assumptions are right that he
was cheating, cheating on somebody and them getting mad and hearing you up in a song,
coming back is just kind of like, it gives like song cry by Joe that ass.
Like, just leave me alone.
Just let me heal the way I heal.
444 is really the only way you can reply.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm terrible, nigga.
I'm sorry.
Don't tell our daughter.
Yeah, like, I'm a horrible nigga.
I was, y'all, she didn't even tell you how bad I was.
Like, I was absolutely horrific.
My bad.
Like, I had to grow up.
That's the only way to come back.
Like, there's no.
Yeah, I mean, we'll see.
But, I mean, I'm sure Sean knows if it's about him or not out the game.
because he would know who Lisa Page and Brittany are.
Because that's when you're like, all right, damn, she's not.
I'm caught.
She ain't used no real names.
You know, she changed the name.
She changed their names.
Janine ain't not going to do that.
She ain't going to get them girls that much like.
She ain't going to do that.
She going to switch the names.
But like, Sean know who.
That's a J's too, though.
He knows.
But I don't think Janay would use real names.
I don't think she would do that.
Well.
You might get a cease and desist.
My bitch said,
you are opportunist,
you are out,
but it's okay.
Guess I'll charge it to the game.
Well,
Sean,
opportunity's?
Yeah.
That's sick.
Well,
hold on.
We do not know
what she was talking about,
Sean.
Okay.
In the song,
she said,
you're an opportunity.
Who do you think she was talking about?
She could have been talking about anybody.
She also,
you also can write a song.
You're not going to do this with me.
I asked you,
who do you think she's talking about?
I have no clue.
No clue.
But as Rory has written a song,
as some of the lines have been about one person,
some of the lines might have been about another person.
Some of the lines might have been fake.
You just beat that up, but might have been...
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, not every line has to be directed at.
Not every line.
I'm asking you about that line.
It just happens to rhyme.
And we're talking about Jene.
Yeah, like, why's, yo, DeMaris coming here
doing this shit with this politically correct bullshit.
Just speak to.
Who do you think she's talking to?
One of her exes.
One of her exes.
I know that's right.
Okay.
But then, you know the internet's going to dig up everything.
Big Sean's first verse on Living Single.
started to mix up Ashley with Tanisha saying,
hi, Brittany, when I'm on the phone with Lisa.
We talk about Jenae right now.
We're talking about Janette.
We talk about one of the greatest writers we have of our generation.
Don't do the crime.
Don't like crimes.
Shit.
I ain't going to lie, though.
Then women that perform barefoot, though, it's something.
They just, I don't know, man.
You can't trust women that perform barefoot.
Because they just, I think they hold, like.
Powers.
Yeah, it's like they just remember.
Every fucking thing.
Like, why you remember everything?
This is from Big Sean's song in 2013.
Remember when we was laid up, you and I at Page Crib was there so long I could have paid rent.
Mm-hmm.
And, I mean, Jeney has not been shy to call her shit.
I meant like comfort and ending freestyle.
She names all seven of her exes.
By name.
She didn't change a name.
We knew every person she was talking about.
We talked about Jenae now.
She doesn't play these games.
Oh, I'm going to be secretive and how you, it's different meanings.
No, no, no.
This is about Lisa and Paige.
Yeah, Jeney, she do all of this and then she goes to a sound bath and just cleanses.
Clemses her spirit.
Get her.
Get all that negative energy.
Yeah.
She probably going to cut her hair, have a new like a Zendaya haircut.
You know, and just.
I want everyone to be happy.
I'm just saying a lot of things rhyme with Larry.
That's all.
Yeah.
Scary, hairy.
Barry
Quite contrary
Mary
And then when Larry
Come out with a song
That say
You want your family back
Then what?
See?
Leave niggas alone
Because you can't
I'm saying
Maybe from Sean's perspective
I didn't say from Janay
Larry is a fan of the show
And so with Sean
Both of them are friends of the show
Mm-hmm
Shout out to both of those gentlemen
I'm saying
Sean if he gets
If he gets a hold of the airy cadence
I don't know
Things could go crazy
I don't think he should do that
I think he should, you know, move on, start a, you know, get a new family.
And you can't do that with Larry June.
Not that I think Sean has any interest in dissing Larry.
It probably even feels any type of way.
That's what I just said.
Yeah.
But if you diss Larry June, like, he's too cool.
You don't think Sean feels some type of way about Larry Dayton, Jinnate?
I don't know.
Oh, now you're playing my game.
You don't know.
I don't know these people.
What's wrong with y'all?
These are humans.
You know that, right?
Like, Larry and Sean have worked together.
Like, they've...
Okay.
I didn't think of that aspect.
Yeah, they have worked together.
What alchemist?
What are you talking about?
Oh, yeah.
Fuck, yeah, that's right.
Yes, they've worked together.
They've worked together.
You know, I take back everything.
You know, like that...
Like, you can't...
Like, Sean...
That's like when Remy...
That's like when Remy Damed closer and said,
Hubby loves you.
That was crazy.
That was crazy.
That was crazy.
You got to feel away about that.
Okay.
I take back what I said.
You are correct.
I would feel away too.
I'm more so saying without that bit of information that I forgot about.
I've been in relationships and broken up and did not care when she got in another relationship.
And then there's been times that I have.
So I was saying maybe Sean in this instance doesn't care that his ex has moved on.
Okay.
No, not that your ex has moved on.
But now, yeah.
If your child's mother.
Started dating Ryan?
Yeah.
Started dating.
somebody that you worked with
appear.
Not saying Janay can't date
other rappers and artists.
There's mad niggas that Sean ain't work with.
But it's mad niggas that he did.
I'm about to do that.
That nigga not good me.
Larry ain't good music.
And he ain't got to be,
I ain't say it was his label made.
Well, good music is very forgiving, as we've seen.
Yeah.
If it was good music, it'd probably be accepted.
But like this, like, come on, man.
Like, Sean definitely throws a way
that Larry is dating Jane.
Yeah, he can feel away about it.
I'm like, but she's not wrong.
Like, I mean, you niggas did one song together.
It's like if you niggas guest start on somebody podcast, now y'all bitches can't fuck
them, like y'all ain't on the same.
My baby mother?
My child's mother?
No, she can't date.
She can't date somebody that I worked with.
No.
Come on.
If you just went on a podcast or y'all was on a podcast together, y'all was on one
podcast, one episode one time.
Now she can never date that person.
If it's like that, then, now, to be fair, I don't know Larry's.
Your baby mother can't fuck Bullitt Cave?
If my baby mother was the fucking.
That's such a wild statement.
No, no.
Listen, listen.
Let me explain something to that.
If my baby, and I don't have a baby mother.
Salute to Kev.
But if I found out my baby
motherfucker bootleg Kev, I would have to rethink everything I've done in life.
Wait, why?
That's shade.
It's not shady.
Kev is a successful man.
Kev is.
He owns clubs and shit?
I would still, my point, I would have to think about me and my decisions.
In your journey.
If me, if bootleg Kev is now dating my babies
No more socks for you.
You're better for-
I'm just, I would have to,
I would have to rethink some things is all I'm saying.
But if like Alchemist asked Sean for that verse,
Sean cut out of Al's studio without Larry,
yo, we're doing a visual.
Can you slide through and just do your verse real quick?
Something like that.
Yeah.
Man, I don't get fuck if those niggas was texting
something, yo, this is fire.
I don't get fuck if y'all wrote the lyrics together.
See?
Y'all are not in this.
Y'all are not friends.
Yeah, but you say that.
And then as soon as a nigga do something like that to you
with one of your girls that's just like a girl that you just know.
You just know.
You got the same brow lady.
You're going to attend that brow salon to fuck up.
Same brow lady is.
Yeah.
If y'all can just got the same brow lady.
Y'all just see each other at the brow salon and passing, hey girl, yeah, I'm on my way.
I'm going to Paris to see Jay Z.
Okay, cool.
It's something like that.
If you find out your baby father's now dating that girl that you just know in the
brow salon.
You bet not ever.
But that's very different.
though. Why is that very different? Because
Janay's dating
pool is not what
my boyfriend's dating pool is.
I don't know what that means. Janay cannot
just date anybody. She doesn't have the
she's not like a... What you mean she can't just date?
She can date whoever she wants to date.
Clearly. Clearly she could date
whoever she wants to date.
Janay is famous.
Okay. And rich.
What that means? You are famous and rich.
Your pool is a little bit smaller
because you usually will only date other
richer people. Summer Walker would like a word.
Yeah, what are you talking?
And y'all clown her for that all the time.
When have we ever clown Summer Walker for the men that she dated?
Never.
When I say y'all, I mean the general consensus of y'all, not you and law.
So you think because a woman is rich and successful that she can only date rich and successful men?
She should probably be dating within her pool.
Why?
I'm not doing this with y'all.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm not.
Why?
Y'all know why.
I don't know why.
Why she should only date somebody else who's in her tax bracket?
So if I'm rich and successful.
Oh, no, no, because now we're going to have a real comment.
So if I'm rich and successful, I should only date a rich and successful, successful woman.
Do we not talk about double standards all the time?
But at the same time, you don't date broke bitches, do you?
You don't, right?
I didn't say Janacea dated, broke niggas.
Do you date broke bitches?
No.
Do you even, you don't even like women that don't even really got it for real?
Like, we see what you date.
You date women who got it.
Yes or no.
God, what though?
Like some money, when did this turn into a personal attack?
A successful career.
Period.
date women that have their, like, have their shit together.
Exactly. I don't want somebody that's trying to figure it out at my age.
I ain't got time for that.
Exactly. Because you can relate, because you can relate to them.
Y'all both work. Y'all have stuff to relate to.
When you, in a relationship with somebody, you want somebody you can relate to.
Jeannay lives a specific type of lifestyle.
Her kids have to live a specific type of lifestyle.
Not even just in regards to money in regards to paparazzi in regards to the type of shit that
she's exposed to.
So more than likely, the people that she would mesh with are people who live a similar
lifestyle to hers.
It's not even just about money.
I don't think that's necessarily true, though.
It would initially were alluding more to, we're not saying that Jeney should not strive for a successful man that has means.
No one's saying that.
Right.
You were alluding to, and correct me if wrong, this is how I took it.
You were saying more of in the rich and famous world.
Yes.
That's how I took it at.
So that's why I just.
We were pushing back on the famous.
Yeah.
Like, I don't, I don't think she needs to date somebody that's like, once she steps out with him, they know who he is.
She's not even like the outside type of celebrity to begin with.
The entire conversation I just had, I didn't really mention famous.
I know. That's why I said, Kirby and I'm wrong. We both interpreted, like, you were getting at her lifestyle of being famous.
You're saying her pool. I'm just like, she could date mad regular. I mean, regular meaning like they are successful, they're going on, but you wouldn't know who the person is.
But I bought that up and then you said, well, if I'm a man, don't I have, do it.
Does that mean I can only date successful women?
I can only date rich women.
If I'm a rich man, does that mean I can only date rich women?
I literally was specifically talking about, yeah, they have to have means.
I never really mentioned famous.
Oh, so somebody that just got their shit together.
Yeah, but we started with.
It sounded to begin with that, yeah, it started with because she's dating Larry June, right?
And Sean.
And so you were saying like basically she has to, it has to still be somebody on that level as far as like face,
card as far as like success, as far as like notoriety.
That's what it felt like you're saying.
I feel like the, I feel like the notoriety part of it fits into the lifestyle, not because
they're famous, but because they can.
But you're at certain shit.
These are the circle.
You date in your circles.
When you go out and you see people, you just say, Janae don't go outside.
She dates in her circles.
Where would her circle be as the famous authority?
She could date the man that has the number one selling crystal shop in California.
Yeah.
He sells more crystals than anybody.
Where would she find him?
At the crystal shop.
I'm sure she's there every Sunday.
Sure,
he has sapphire and all kinds of shit.
You don't think she,
when she has to go outside and like moves around
certain places doesn't meet rich executives or people that work in tech.
Like I'm sure somebody that owns like five aerowans.
Yeah, exactly.
I bought that up, y'all acting like I was crazy for saying that she should be
with somebody that's rich and on her level of financial.
Also, her first husband died,
I think is an incredible,
incredible, incredible producer.
At that time,
I wouldn't say, one, he was famous at all.
Two, I don't know if his pub had hit yet.
I'm sure he's doing fine now because he's produced some of the most incredible records.
Yeah.
But at that time, Jenae was Jeney and she was working with him and then they fell in love.
Like, he wasn't, he didn't have status.
Jenae was not Jeney.
Jene was big, but Jene was not the Jeney that we know now when she was not married.
Nah, yes, she was on the ascension.
Jene is bigger right now than Jena has ever been because she goes up completely, but she was not as famous.
But she was still Jeney.
She was lit, though.
She was lit for sure, but she was not as famous.
She probably still felt like a regular person because that was a long time.
She still does.
Jeney is mad regular.
I could see her dating just some guy from Sloth.
Yeah, like, Janae don't look at herself in that light.
Like, she's too, like, Janay probably still goes to Target, like.
She's not a Kardashian.
Yeah, like, she's not, she doesn't strike me as that type of woman that would care about shit like that.
I don't know her personally, but I think Jenae does mad regular shit.
And I think Sean does mad regular shit.
So when it worked, it worked because Sean, yes, is famous, but Sean don't go outside.
Like, Sean lays low.
He's like her in that regard.
Like, I feel like I would see Jeney and Erawan, like, and she would be like 100%.
You know, like, no, go ahead.
You can go.
Like, she has that energy.
Like, you have less item.
Yeah.
You can go.
She strikes me as that type of woman.
And again, we don't know these people and we're not like more healthy conversation.
We don't know these people.
It's fun to talk about, though.
20 minutes they break you down.
Mall football is back.

You went to have some conversations, man.
Well, polymarket is here.

Speaking of messy relationships,
Jezebel's song of the summer,
it does.
Jezebel, did you get the zeal?
I know I'll put you through hell.
Jezebel.
Did you wreck your cell?
We will find out.
Remia Mav put out a snippet.
By the time you hear this, it will be out.
It's called, Why Did I Get Married?
We Kiki, why is.
We are assuming it's a papoosa.
You can't really tell by this.
snippet but judging by the title and coming off jezebel one would assume with the artwork that this may
be a response to to jezebel yes this feels like this feels like this is exactly what this is we all we know we
kind of knew it would be a matter of time um but how much more of this are we willing to entertain
and sit through though let's just be honest because this has kind of been you know with remi and pap
and clarissa and easy-to-block captain and now now millies is it
in the mix. Yeah, this has kind of been like this. It's like what we, what are we doing? How much,
how much more time do we have for this to entertain this? We're obviously going to listen to what,
because Jezebel is heating up the charts right now. I'm still pretty entertained. Yeah. So I mean,
after this Remy response, like, are we now looking to PAP to respond to that or is it like,
this is over after this? It depends what's on this record. I think this can go.
What's the name of the song? Why did I get married? Why I get married?
Yeah.
Oh, I see Pap going to come out with why I get married, too.
Like you, like you.
With Tyler Perry, Nancy.
Yeah, if you think Pap Bay ain't going to drop, why, why?
You're like, yeah, why I get married.
Let me tell you.
Papu's wrote an entire song.
You've seen, you've seen Med Society.
Yeah.
You know, the young kid that Kane would soon to be stepson.
Yeah.
Phinell's son
that he's covering
Papoose wrote an entire song movie
about that kid growing up
Yeah
If you don't think he's not going to do the entire
Why Did I Get Married series?
You have Papoose
I'm gonna do you one better, Rory
Papoose got a haircut with a hat on
Any nigga that get a haircut with a hat on
You don't want to get a no battle with a nigga like that
You don't want to get in a battle with somebody
that get a haircut with a hat on
Anybody treats the apartment building
railing like a balance beam, I want no smoke with.
Anyone that could do gymnastics in an apartment building staircase?
He knows something. I don't know. Yeah. He knows something. I don't know. I'm cool.
That's some hood balance that I just do not have. Yeah, man. I don't know, man. I don't know.
This is, um, I don't know. I mean, obviously, you know, Remy has the, she has the floor now to
respond. Um, but I don't know how much more this I can like, because it's just, it just becomes
a little too much. It's like, all right, man, we don't want, we don't want it to go too far and y'all start
exposing too much about your private life. So, uh, I don't think Remy's going to hold back.
Oh, no. I think this, I think this is going to be an extremely, extremely messy record.
To the point that it may not be fun anymore. She got Kiki Wyatt on it?
Singing, singing with pain. Yeah, but do y'all know like the history of Kiki white?
I mean, I know she's an incredible vocalist. Oh, no, you don't, you see, you don't know Kiki.
I don't know, yeah, you don't know. You don't know. You don't know. You don't know. You don't
You're talking about singing this shit.
Like, you don't know the history of Kiki Wyatt.
You have no idea.
It was house that she burned up.
Yeah, like, no, Kiki on this, this is like, this means more than what you think it means.
Refresh my memory.
I mean, of course I know who Kiki Wyatt is.
Let's just say Kiki Wyatt has had her share of marital issues.
Let's just, let's just leave it at that.
She's had some, um,
She's had some marital issues.
Gosh.
In her life, yes.
Like, she definitely, like, dressed as left eye one Halloween.
No, she stabbed the nigga.
Yeah.
Nice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Got it, got it.
You know what I mean?
That's what I'm saying.
You don't know Kiki.
Like, you don't even know.
Yeah.
Beautiful voice.
You know, she's going to sing the house down.
But she might do some other things, too, that I just don't think, you know, we want to have, have happened.
So, yeah, man.
Okay.
So she has been indicted on it.
Ironically, Remy has assault charges as well under her belt.
So this is a nice collab.
Listen, man, I'm just saying this can, you know me?
Let's wait in here what these ladies did.
But there's definitely a lot of interesting energy around these two women when it comes to marriage.
Yeah.
And also, I don't either they coordinated this or this isn't address in Jezebel.
because she has a whole music video shot.
She didn't shoot that in two days.
Oh, you don't know how videos work.
This is like a whole treatment and everything.
I know.
They scrapped the song they shot it for
and then just put the new audio over it.
It's just a visual, but it's like...
But Demarish, you do bring up a very good point.
This looks like this was a lot of production.
I don't know if this happened within the last 48 hours.
I hear you.
But it's just too ironic the timing.
Or maybe Remy has had this and was like, all right, perfect timing.
Everyone's going to rush to it thinking it's a Pabdisc and it's just my single.
Exactly.
I mean, I'm pretty sure it is a Pabstice, but not off of it.
Like, he just getting, it's a Jeney song.
He getting part of it.
Yeah, not directly replying to everything he said in Jezebel.
Because there's no way Remy's doing a song about why did I get married and not,
it not be about her ex-husband to begin with.
Come on, fan.
I'll be listening.
When do it drop this Friday?
If you're listening to the pod now
It's out. It's out now. Oh, yeah.
Oh, it's the next Friday. Oh, next Friday.
Oh, then yeah. No, she's got to take time to
cut the new song. Yeah. This is just
she just shot the teaser. Yeah.
It's not a full video yet. Just the teaser.
This was the iPhone version. Yeah.
Let y'all know what's coming, why I get married.
Are you guys going to watch the, why did I get married again?
I watched it.
How was it? It's on my Q. It's on my list.
I like when stories continue when I like the characters.
Shout out to all the young actors.
Shout out to all the actors.
Oh, shit.
Whenever they shout out all the actors, you already know what's coming after that.
You know, you guys watch it and tell me what you think.
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm not watching it.
So you might as well go ahead and tell me down.
You know what?
I'm telling you off my cute.
I think that.
I think that Tyler Perry could have taken.
more time with the movie.
He said they shot it in four days.
It kind of feels like that.
The story didn't really, there were just a lot of,
the story just didn't, the story could have been better.
There was a lot of room for potential there,
and the story could have been better,
but there was just a lot of ends that weren't tied up
or tied up.
They weren't tied up well.
There was no need for Mike to be in the movie.
Honestly, I don't know why Mike survived the last one.
But why you kill home, like Gina Hunterman,
you could have killed Mike.
Mike is the movie.
No, Mike isn't the movie because
Mike's only role in the movies is to antagonize Sheila.
We already got a secret.
We got the main movie.
Okay.
Is Jill Scott any?
Yes.
Okay.
The second movie, you antagonizing Sheila and Troy.
The third movie, you antagonizing Sheila and Troy.
It's just like, it's like there's no real story.
He should have died in the last movie of cancer.
It had been a better storyline.
But that's not, no, usually terrible people live.
So that's accurate.
Yeah.
Like usually the terrible people.
people beat cancer and the people we want to stay.
Don't.
It just, it wasn't.
Like, it wasn't.
But shout out to them.
The actor, the actors did a good job.
Hear me out.
Maybe she-
Is Janet in it?
deserves a little.
No, Janet, Janet isn't.
Tyler came out and said,
there really would have been no room for Janet there
because her husband died in the last movie.
She's not.
Remember she can't have it.
She can't be remarried?
She did.
She met the rock at the end of the movie.
Yeah, but you ain't, you get, you get in the rock.
You come at a time.
For a four-day shoot?
For a full time.
Perry?
No.
I can't afford it.
I was really going to.
I guess what Tyler Perry came out and said is that Janet was unavailable because of,
this is before we found out, it was filmed it for days.
It's a tight wind up.
It was unavailable because she had a Vegas residency.
And on top of that, the last movie was shot, if it shot, if you guys remember when
Michael died, Michael died when she was filming.
In the middle of why she was, when she was married, why did I get married to?
And I guess she didn't want to revisit that place.
That is what the, that is what Tyler told to us.
Did you see Tyler Perry on a Jennifer Hudson show?
I mean, I saw him dance.
I saw him walking down the thing.
I still don't know what song he actually walked down to because every time I click the video of him walking down.
There's no song.
It's Jezebel.
It's Jezebel.
It's Jezebel every time I click the video.
It's just the staff like singing.
Well, yeah, but I didn't, I never hear the staff singing because every time I click it is Jezebel.
Which worked out so well.
Tyler thought he had, he must thought he had a dress on.
You saw he tried to pull his pants up?
he was ready to pull them pants up and start throwing that ass
look right here look bow no no no there go
right there right there yeah what is that
I think he used to be a Medea
is that what you think he's a method actor
yo I hate when Baby Dee do shit like that
I think he used to be a Medea
that's not what you think baby dude
because that's what Medea do she pull like the purple dress up
who else do that he's dedicated to the craft
who else do that though Medea does it
Okay.
Now I kind of don't want to see it.
You said that they shot it in four days.
Why would you...
Because why don't get married is iconic.
Why did I get married too is great?
Why would you take a series that people love
and shoot the third one in four days?
I think they would have been better off.
And he has a good relationship with Netflix,
so I know Tyler Perry can do whatever fuck he wants to do.
It should have been the series.
It should have been what they did,
what Peacock did with the best man.
I was about to ask you, what's been...
Final chapters.
How they continued Best Man.
how they continue this, but clearly that's the answer.
It should have been done like that.
It would have given more room because the movie is mainly about their children,
which is another reason why there's no reason for Janet to be there because Janet's son
died.
Like, it's about their children.
Okay.
So Sheila and Troy had children.
Sheila and Troy had a son, but he has like maybe two lines.
Okay.
It's mainly about Mike and Mike and which I'm going to call it, Tasha Smith's and Taraji's
kids.
It's mainly about their kids.
Okay.
Okay.
So then Mike has a big role then.
I mean, not Mike, I'm sorry.
Marcus.
Okay.
Yeah.
Mike doesn't have any kids, remember?
I wasn't sure if they had kids.
No.
I still think I was always on Sheila's side for the first one and a half of the movies.
But then when you go disrespect to your husband, Troy, who left Colorado so you go back to help Mike with cancer treatment.
Like, that was, Troy should have left her.
Well, she didn't go back to help.
That's not why they moved to.
She went behind her husband's back.
She went behind his back, but that's not why he said.
To go to some dirt bag that.
treated her like shit to help with his cancer treatment
and behind her husband's back. No, she
deserves some torment. That's all I'm saying. She shouldn't
ended up. No, doing the
fucking, the bird
going and asking that they're going to get him
a job. Like,
we ain't learned from that and soulful.
That is. Because I rewatch
why did I get married to? It's a good movie.
I was rewatching that shit. And when I seen
like, I didn't really realize how
abusive
Janice's husband was.
He was hurt.
He lost a
kid, right? Lost a baby. They lost the baby
way before that. When she wanted to divorce him
and he tried to take half her book money
and they started fighting about that
and divorced and he pinned her down on the
couch and poured like water,
poured vodka all over her face. Oh, he was super drunk.
And then burn the baby's pictures.
Yeah, I was fucked up. He had to die that night.
Don't pin me down, bro.
Like some type of fucking sexual predator. Don't
pin me down. He was wild. He was definitely.
That was mad abusive. So I
used to feel bad that he died, but then like
now once I've seen that scene again as a
a little bit more groaner of a woman.
I was like, oh, no.
He deserved to die.
And then the next day is when she starts smashing everything, right?
A couple days later.
He kind of come in and sneak and get his stuff out of the house.
Yeah.
And he cleared her.
She found out he cleared a bank account.
Yeah.
He did good.
Like those movies, the one with Taraji when Taraji gets into a car accident,
loses her ability to have a child and a nigga move on with a new bitch and Taraji
go crazy and, like, stalking him and killed him.
That one's good.
The one with Brandi.
Brandy gets AIDS
I forgot about that movie
Yeah
What's the name of that shit again?
Confessions of a marriage counselor
Or something like that
Because everyone refers to it as the
Brandy gets AIDS movie
Yeah
That one was good
Like Tyler his mother
He has a lot of good movies
I just I wish this one was a little bit better
But got a lot of good and terrible movies too
He plays the volume
He plays the volume game
It's a lot of output
Tyler Perry is a legend
And every sense of the world
But legends
Fuck up to him.
He has like maybe three movies that are like
Three and a half.
You just name like four.
I know.
Why'd I get married?
I like the Brandy AIDS movie.
You said,
Why'd I get married?
Why'd I get married?
Two.
Brandy AIDS movie and then the fourth one.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's like four movies.
Sure does more.
I don't like any of the materials.
Not one of them.
The plays were always better than the movies.
To me.
I grew up on the plays.
I liked Tyler Perry as an actor in
Gone Girl.
I thought he smoked that role.
Didn't picture him when I read the book before the movie, but he smoked it.
I think he's a good actor when he's not doing those roles.
I think he's a good actor when he doing Medea.
I can understand you not liking the movies, but I think the acting as Medea is great, actually.
Oh, he's a good actor.
And started a wave of all these niggis dressing up like women on the internet.
I didn't say he was the first person to do it.
Do not miss under the Navy.
You said he started the wave.
Starting the wave and being the first person to do something.
is completely different.
He didn't start the wave.
He didn't, he wasn't the first one, didn't start the wave, didn't.
I think he started the wave.
Jeney wasn't the first person to whisper on a song,
but I think she started the wave of everybody that came after her that started doing that.
But I don't, she wasn't the first person to do it.
Big Mama's house was well before that.
You misunderstood.
Eddie Murphy has done that.
You're misunderstanding.
You're misunderstanding me and that's okay.
I'm talking about starting the wave, not starting it, not being the first person,
but as far as the one I'm talking about.
As far as the, when I'm talking about the sketches that people do on the internet,
I think a lot of that was them, was inspired by Medea.
Because he didn't do it once.
He didn't do it twice.
He made that his entire spiel.
So who does that on the internet?
Mad people do that.
Mad men dress up as women as comedy.
Mad of these little,
the IG TikTok wave of like the little, the comedian, the boys dressing up as girls and making fun of them and putting wigs on and shit.
Like I think that a lot of that.
came from Medea.
What was the guy spoken to reason?
Was that his, that guy?
I don't know.
Who was the other guy?
He was really funny.
He ended up on whiling out.
I know who you're talking about.
I don't know their names.
Yeah, like there was that whole era of Instagram,
Twitter comedians, they definitely did a lot of dressing up.
Yeah.
Almost to the point that it was getting a little too,
said like, is this even a joke anymore?
Yeah, it's not being funny.
Like you're not even making funny material.
you just want to dress up like a woman.
That's why everybody praises Drusky
because Drusky doesn't just dress up like a woman.
Drewski dresses up as everyone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But yeah, a lot of them just dressed up as women
and like did a whole bunch of like anti-black stereotypes
and shit like that.
And I think that they got that from Medea.
This is my fame.
Oh, all right.
I see that tie together.
Okay.
I see what you're saying then.
I thought you were just saying that like,
no, that was the first one.
Just kind of throw a wig on and be a big black woman.
No, but being that being that stereotype
that he did for so long.
long, I think that a lot of these younger R.G comedians, like, they were inspired by that.
But, yeah, moving on.
Before we get out of here, I did want to quickly touch on the Kid Cuddy and Ebro thing that happened,
like right before we hit record.
So I don't know if you guys saw that Cuddy had tweeted out towards Ebro.
Ebro was on his show with Peter and Laura and was talking about him running into Cuddy out,
wasn't planning or anything, but they ended up sitting next to each other.
at dinner and Ebro had brought, you know, brought up the obvious of like what's going on with
you performing with Kanye and got into some private conversation of, of Cuddy saying it's still
tough to go out there with them and the optics and this and that, which Cuddy thought was a
private conversation between the two of them at a dinner. And he didn't know he was going to go
on a podcast. So Cuddy tweeted out right before we hit record.
Ebro, you were sitting next to me at dinner, not planned. And we're having a private conversation
I was being friendly because you were sitting next to me.
Not an interview.
You are thirsty.
I think you were speaking about conversations publicly is classless.
And I do not respect you any longer.
I spoke to you thinking you really just wanted to talk.
You just wanted a story.
I learned a valuable lesson.
Never talk to a journalist unless it's for an actual interview.
Good thing, Zane has a million times more class than you.
None of what we talked about at Apple Park is a news clip.
I'll just talk to him.
P.S., I'd really appreciate if you don't discuss me ever again.
Thank you.
I respect that.
I feel, Cody.
I respect that.
I mean, you know, that's something that,
unfortunately, I battle with because
a lot of people that I know and have, you know,
relationships with before I started podcasting,
I see how our relationships have changed after I started podcasting.
And it's fucked up because I'm like,
you think that I would take anything we speak about.
Yeah.
To my platform.
But I understand the apprehensive,
apprehension there because it's kind of like
on one hand they don't want to tell me that
like yo bro don't repeat none of this
because they know I'll probably take offense to that
like you think I would repeat anything we talk about in private
I've been offended but at the same time I understand
why somebody would say that because it happens
like you have personal private conversations with people
and they think that it's literally
it goes without saying that I don't want you to repeat any of this
on your platform and then
you literally go back
and repeated on your platform.
So I understand, you know, Cuddy, like,
I spoke to you because we were sitting next to each other.
And I thought that we were just kicking it
because here we all sitting next to each other as men.
Let's just kick it.
I didn't think that I was speaking into a microphone
and that, you know, I was speaking into a recorder
and everything that I'm saying is going to be repeated
on a platform in a couple days.
Like, I didn't think that.
So I understand what Cuddy's coming from.
Ebro is a vet and I think he should know better than that.
Yeah, he's not known for this type of behavior.
He's not.
No, Ebro's not known for this.
This is not something that I think he's...
Thousands of private conversations that would be headline news tomorrow if he decided to speak about them.
One of the reasons why I want to play devil's advocate, even though I believe that Ebro was wrong and Ebro believes he's wrong because he, Cuddy just tweeted that Ebro apologized and he accepted it.
So we all know Ebro was wrong.
But Devil's Advocate, do we think?
that Ibrough was trying to defend his, defend Cuddy, because the conversation it sounded
like he was talking, he was talking to Peter and Peter and Cuddy had gotten into it on the
internet. And it sounded like Ebro was giving reasons that Cuddy had told him for why he might
be more accepting of Kanye. I don't think Ebro's intent was malicious. Yeah, I don't think it's
I don't think his intent was malicious. I just think that, you know, Cuddy is, is, is,
somewhat of a private person.
He doesn't do a lot of interviews for whatever reason.
But I feel like, you know, Ebro, what he was saying,
he shouldn't have repeated some of the things,
obviously because it was said to him in private.
But I don't think it was malicious.
I don't think he was trying to, like he didn't do it with the intent of exposing anything
that Cuddy said.
I think it was a conversation.
and based on a conversation he had in private with Cuddy,
it was some things that he could add to that conversation
that would shed a different light on Cuddy.
Yeah, I agree.
But again, Cuddy being private,
and then Cuddy knowing how things work,
things you say what I said on your platform, it gets clipped.
Now I was going everywhere,
and people think that I'm, you know,
I'm using you as your ear to basically like air out my grievances
or how I feel.
It could just turn into something that Cuddy didn't mean for it to turn into.
You look shady too in that regard,
because like you just said you're cool with Kanye now.
You went back at Peter saying,
our family shit.
Now it looks like you,
you being like,
nah,
that shit's hard, man.
I don't even like,
I don't even fuck with Kanye.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So it could turn it to something else.
And I think that that's what Cuddy is kind of like,
you know,
speaking to.
But they've obviously spoken,
uh,
privately.
Ebro apologized.
Cuddy accepted the apology.
All good.
Um,
and I think that's it.
You know what I think?
It's just just,
just,
you know,
he just fumbled.
the ball a little bit, but obviously you apologize.
How do y'all go about knowing
the limits
about what you can't? I don't repeat
nothing that I speak to about anybody,
any public figure
privately. There's a lot of things
that I don't speak about. There's a lot of things that you
don't speak about, but there are some things, private
conversations that you had that have made this
podcast. You, they
are okay with it, obviously. Nobody got mad
as you. Oh, no, no, no, no. But you have private
conversations that have been. But that would be because
I knew that that was okay to
repeat that. So that's what I'm asking you.
But, no, no, but this thing's, oh, no, no, you know, you know. I agree.
You know, you know the things to like, you know, even, even like, and I felt some type of way
about this, even one time we were somewhere and somebody was like, not going to repeat his
name, not going to say his name, but he was, we were having a conversation. And he was talking
about another rapper. And he said something about the rapper. And then he turned to look at me,
it was like, yo, don't repeat that.
It's happened to me on multiple games
And I felt the way about that
Because I was like
You think that I would repeat what you just said
Like but I understand why he
Because that would have turned into something
Crazy
You know what I mean? So I understand that
But I did feel away about that
I was like
I used to get offended by that
Even I've had it even worse where not just don't repeat it
I've been in studio sessions
Where people have been like
Let me chill as a podcaster in here
I'm like
But I understand it
I've learned
learned before it used to trigger,
be like, that's what you really think that I'm like,
I told,
but I understand it.
I understand it.
I used to like,
I used to feel away.
I used to be like,
yo,
that's crazy that you even think I'm that type of person.
But now I just kind of like,
it comes with the territory.
It comes with the position.
Like, I get it.
I understand.
Yeah.
And that's honestly,
just in real life too,
even before I podcasted,
just regular shit with people,
I've realized like,
you tell somebody a secret
and you think that that would be something
that they naturally wouldn't repeat.
And then they'll be,
they'll repeat him like,
oh,
I didn't know that that was a,
So now no matter what, I'd be like off the record or don't tell them why I said this,
between me and you is my favorite.
Between me and you.
Between me and you.
I mean, do not repeat this.
Anytime it's like.
You can get offended.
To the cutty E-ro situation, less with like the personal ones that you're saying.
I'll maybe hit them on a month.
Like if we had a conversation at a dinner on Friday, I'll hit them maybe Monday morning.
Like, y'all know we spoke about this.
You cool if I say this part, this part.
Like I'll triple check that stuff to make sure it's okay.
But I mean, I'm sure a lot of listeners, especially these days with how they've been treating fucking like Rob Markman and Charlemagne and everyone.
Like holding shit down is not compromised journalism.
If you have a private conversation with Kit Cuddy at a dinner about something that is a hot topic, you're not a compromise journalist because you hold that down and don't run to the microphone that doesn't make you compromise.
Because I could see people flipping that like, well, he rose a journalist.
He's doing his job.
If he would have kept it, then he's compromised.
No, he's not. That's a private conversation.
The shit did y'all tease me with the Nass thing?
Of course there was private conversations at the Noss thing.
That would never bring up on a fucking microphone.
You just know certain things you just don't say that doesn't make you compromised.
You just have somewhat of a relationship with that person, which if you're a great journalist,
you can use to the public's benefit because they'll come to you with trustworthy information
because they know you're not going to do some weird shit.
And when it's time to actually talk about certain things, they'll talk to you.
Yeah. So, yeah.
A lot of this compromised journalism shit that be being used in hip hop like those terms, they don't even really apply to hip hop.
They apply. Compromise journalism is applying to stuff that affects the American people when it's time for them to vote.
If you know that somebody is lobbying against something and they're pretending that they're for that cause, that's compromised journalism because people's lives are affected by this.
Us, we did not need to notice information about Cuddy. It did not affect any of our lives. That's not compromised.
fucking journalism.
You didn't know that Jay Zee
Rock Nation is a political donor
to Rob Markman?
Like, it'd just be, like, it'd be dumb shit.
If a person, compromise journalism,
if you're a reporter, is if you know
that so-and-so was touching on somebody
and you held that down, you ain't,
you ain't, you ain't telling about it.
Now you're just a compromise, fucking weird.
Now you're a compromised person, but
that's compromised journalism if you claim
to be a hip-hop journalist.
Like, and also, he may be
a hip-hop journalist, but
his podcast does not, is not all
journalism. It's a lot of like gossip, fun, opinions. That's an opinion. This is his opinion. He's not
required to speak on anything. None of us are. And again, I want to reiterate, I'm with you guys.
I don't think there was any ill intent with Ebro. I think Ebro has had thousands of crazier
conversations that would break the internet over just a Kanye West Kid Cuddy thing. But I appreciated
Cuddy saying lesson learned. Yeah. Now I know how to move. Now I know how to talk, but, you know.
it happens man
sometimes you just slip up and say things that you shouldn't have said
on a public platform he probably thought that wasn't really that big of a deal
yeah but i don't i don't take ebro to be that type of guy
though like i don't i don't think that i can remember ebro ever doing something like that
or being called out for it so i mean but again he apologized so
i also think it is what it is i also think cuddy's probably a little
sensitive to the reaction to a lot of that
Yeah, because Cuddy definitely stood on not fuck with Kanye again multiple times, publicly, privately, then was seen on stage.
And we rarely see Cuddy tweet like that anymore.
And he's been tweeting up a storm about all.
Clearly, this is a very touchy subject for his personal life.
So that's probably where Ebro caught an attack that's attached to so much more than just having a conversation with him at dinner.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I feel for him.
But all right, this was fun.
Any weekend plans for everyone?
Man, I don't know, man.
Where should we go?
Should do something, man.
Let's see where the wind blows us.
I'm down.
San Gennaro's is now, right?
That's why I was late today.
I thought it started tomorrow.
It started today.
It's late.
We outside?
Friot Oreos?
Ferris will.
Our guy, Joy Marlino, has his cheese steak stand up.
Oh, yeah?
I stopped by.
When I realized it was going on,
by before I came here.
Is he in town?
Okay.
Yeah, that's on Kenmore and Mulberry.
Really, really good cheese steak.
Shout to Joey and Snuff.
Skinny Joey's cheese steaks is really, really good.
But yeah.
All right.
Well, it's been great seeing you beautiful people.
Another week in the can.
Yes.
Just do the things that we can.
Stay away from things that we shouldn't be doing.
And until this time again next week, be safe.
Be blessed.
Now, nigga, he's a ginger.
