Great night. Woke up to, you know, another rainy spring day. It's officially spring, right?

It is. I think. Rainy spring day in New York City. Yeah, it's April. It has to be spring. If not, we're all in trouble. Yeah, spring starts on March 20th this year. So, you Yes. It is spring. It's amazing how Baby Dee actually took a vacation before Roy and I had been potting and making billions of dollars for the last. Giving it to DeMaris. Yeah, she gave it to Demaris. She first class on her way to Jamaica. I hope she has a great time. She deserves it. Happy birthday to her.

It's just interesting because, you know, she still hasn't answered my question. I've been asking her for four days who she was going to Jamaica with. And she just won't answer me. She keeps threatening me. That's your answer. She keeps talking to me like I'm not her boss. Like, I don't understand. Like, you know.

That's her private life. Yeah, it is. It is her problem. Now you're being a creepy boss. No, but I'm HR as well. So, you know, I wear different hats, worry. You see all the hats I wear? But HR also can't ask you where, who you're with when you're not in office.

No, that's your personal life. But I have to prove. I approve the vacation, right? Imagine being at a company and someone says, yo, who you fucking. No, no. It's not the same. I asked her. I just said, hey.

If you're going to Jamaica with somebody, you're probably fucking them. That's a fact. What if it was a family trip? Who goes to Jamaica with a family? The Maris is in hedonism throwing ass. You don't take a family trip to hedonism. In first class. She's going to kill me.

I don't know if she was going to. But no, I just asked her. I put on my friend hat when I asked her who she was going with. So it's like, you know, I know the lines get blurred between, you know, boss, HR and friend. But it's like, I was like, hey, who are you going to Jamaica with? That's not. That's not at all. That's not how I said it?

It sounded like, you know when you hear yourself, like, I don't know if y'all listen back to, like, the pod, but like, The way you hear yourself on the podcast is not how you hear it in your head. No, no. Maul said, end quote, Damaris, you're not in Jamaica yet? And then all in caps, who are you going with? Question mark, exclamation.

No, because that was the fourth time, Edin, that I asked her twice in person in studio. Well, she ignored me. I'm thinking, told me to shut the hell up in mind my business. Maul's thinking, like, in case of emergency, who do we contact? Yeah, I got to make sure. I'm protecting black women. I'm making sure Damaris is. okay on a black island.

Demand to protect you. I'm just making sure she's okay in Jamaica. That's all. But yes, baby D have fun. We'll see you when you get back. We're just going to skate over all of last night? No, no, no, let's get it to last night. So last night was... Clearly, we split this 50-50, right?

Now, this is awkward because Julius never hits me and says, let's hit the street days in advance. We usually, if I go to the game, we'll figure it out after the game. Go get something to eat away. Something calm and nice, something, get him back to where he needs to be. Yeah, something that's just like, you know, just talk shit, laugh, you know, not the club shit, just some dinner and, you know, go home with his free throws. Yeah, Julius is a married family man.

He's a responsible man and, you know, so, you know, shout out to his wife, Kendra. So he hit me Monday. He said, yo, what's up, man? What you're doing Wednesday? You inside or you outside. I was like, first of all, it's Monday. I don't know what I'm doing Wednesday. Yeah.

But okay. Then he told me that, yeah, let's go out after the game. I said, well, who are y'all playing? Because I know he shut it down for a rest of the season. He has an injury, so he shut it down. He said the Nets. I said, oh, Kyrie's first game at the garden? Yeah, unvaxed. Oh, I'll be there. Yeah, Nixon Nets give you high-fis. So go to the game. And, you know, Julius, my guy, I love him. He leaves me tickets. He doesn't know where the tickets are. Most sometimes he does, but this night he didn't.

Julius has me sitting right by, oh, let's back a little bit. Then I look at the group chat. group chat, you're at the game. I am. Julian is at the game. Was Pigeon Carl, were you at the game? No, Julian was at the game. It was Julian. Well, I hit the chat and said I had an extra ticket.

Why didn't one of y'all just be like, y'all? Because it was the second ticket. Yeah, I did. I mean, I asked Rory, I was like, yo, because I asked Rory who he was with. And then Rory kind of threw me spice. Like, yo, you're asking mad questions. I'm like, well, I have an extra.

And it was just Bernie. I'm like, well, I have an extra seat. Like, I was just going to say, yo, if you want to come sit next to me, I would have, but I didn't want to just bring it out. I figured that. Once you said, that's why I said who you was with. You know, I was like, all, cool. So, yeah, we all ended up at the game.

Julian made it very clear that he was in Section 1, Seat 5, Row A. And they kept asking us where he was at not to really figure out maybe we can meet. Not to know where we were at. I'm in Section 1. Then I finally said it. And, like, I could see he already said where he was. And then after he was like, okay, but I'm in Section 1. Yeah, I'm just in Section 1.

So then I get to the game. I get to my seats. And usually I recognize the seats like when I get the tickets sent to the phone because they email you to the tickets now. And I've seen this. I was like, okay, this is a totally different section of where I'm at. Maybe it's because. Not in the side chick section. Yeah, maybe because it's a big game and, you know, the seats were kind of sold out, whatever.

I walk in and I show to usher the ticket. And she's like, oh, you're right here. Right this way, Mr. Clay. She starts walking to the scorers table like I'm about to sub in. I'm like, wait, wait, wait. She gave you some powder. Yeah, I'm like, wait, oh. The slip knot was on the ground?

I'm like, what's going on here? Like, I didn't stretch. You know what I'm saying? This is a big game than I. I didn't stretch. I'm sitting right behind Andre Drummond. Okay. Right next to see.

We're about to get into that. The game sounded great. I'm sitting right behind Andre Drummond. Shout out to my man, Dre, and sitting right next to the team of Soos. You know, I thought about getting a massage at the half, but she left, you know, expeditiously and went in the locker room

to get earned her salary. To do her job? Yeah. And I'm sitting there. And I'm sitting there. And I'm just like, this has to be the worst seat in the house. Like, I'm sitting behind 611 dude, 69, 666, 6.7. And no matter who they sub in and out.

Yeah, I'm just, and not only that they have these, they have like these extra, like, cushions on a chair now where they can sit up. So you're already 6'8. Now with the cushion, you 7.2. Now you got heels on. I'm just like, though, what's going on? I mean, I mean, it sounded great. I know all of the Nets plays now.

I was in the huddle the entire night. Steve Nash is doing a great job. All he does is yell Kevin every timeout. Just like Kevin, get Kevin the fucking ball. But, yeah, it was a great game. It sounded great. I saw some of the action. Should have got on your Belichick shit and sent that over to Julius.

I was trying to read some plays and text Julius at the same time. But, you know, he didn't have his phone on the bench with him. My favorite play that the Nets do is anytime they're down, Kevin Durant becomes the point guard. Oh, yeah. That's what Kevin is. This little basketball thing we do and isn't working.

Yeah, like Steve, bring the ball up. Exactly. Like Steve Nash comes into the huddle. He's cursing everybody out. And then that ends with Kevin. And I'm just like, I could coach. I could coach in the NBA.

If I had Kevin Durant on my team. And let's not forget Kyrie Irvin. That's the one reason why I really went to. I've seen Katie play plenty of times. But I don't think I've seen Cairie play more than twice. I think every time. I had a chance to see Kyrie play.

He was either hurt. This season, he didn't play most of the games in, none of the games in New York. This was his first game. So it was good to see Kyrie. And they have a, you know, just seeing them that close up last night and watching how they interact with each other. If Katie and Kyrie can stay healthy and Patty Mills

and Seth Curry and those are those role players and those veterans could just, you know, do their job. It's going to be hard to beat the next, bro. And I know that's not saying much because they came back down versus the Knicks. Relax. Choose your words wise. I mean, they were cooking them at one point.

No, the Knicks looked good. I made a bunch of bets that shouldn't have made. Yeah, the young, you see, you got ahead of yourself. The young guys were out there playing hard. You know, it was a good game. But, you know, once Kyrie and Katie decide that it's time to go win, man, I don't think there's too many teams that can stop them. But, um, Carrie said that, quote on quote, had a, the Knicks had a good chance of

getting back at them in free agency. But we felt like we wanted to build here and just make our mark on this franchise. I guess they won the role. This game answers to everything. Yeah, well, we knew that. We knew that the Knicks had a chance to get Katie and Kyrie. But for whatever reason, I guess, like Kyrie said, they wanted to build a culture with the Brooklyn Nets and try to win there as opposed to Madison Square Garden and the Knicks. I don't, you know.

Has Fab given us an OB-Topping bar yet? Fab has a bunch of options with Obie Topper. If he did, it has to be on the Gallus remakes. Wow. I feel like on the Gialis remakes, you know, Oshie Top. Fab is not going to be on. I'm saying because it's the Gialis is like,

All the fixings. All the chicken saute you can eat. And I'm so petty because the only thing I ask now when I go out is, yo, can I smoke in there? Which is fair. That's fair. And Roy's like, can I smoke? We're like, hell yeah.

Come on, let's go. So I'm always like, yo, I'm on 31st between seventh and eighth. I said, oh, perfect. I'm walking down 31st. Where are you? I'm thinking mall's outside, like the common man that he is. waiting for a Uber or something. He's like, oh, you see, you see that black sprinter right there?

I'm like, yes, are you behind it? Are you helping? Are you pushing it? And then I see a door slide open. All the lights fucking going super low, already smoking, laid out in recline. He's like, oh, come on, I'll drive us up there. So we and Britt getting into the sprinter. and I'm thinking Maul is about to just drop us off to say less

because I'm thinking, because he had said, I think Julius want to chill, whatever. So we get to say less, and I'm like, oh, you got to double back and pick up Julius or he needs to get a sprinter. More said, this is my sprinter. Yeah. I mean, but I told you, that's how I move around

when it's time to go out. It fits 12 people. Yeah, but listen, I like to be comfortable, man. I like to be comfortable. I like to move on my own pace. you know what I'm saying. So you got to do that, man. I wasn't expecting it.

I don't do much. I don't go out much. So last night I thought was going to be one of those, you know, out of retirement nights. And it didn't. And we retire. Yeah, we got retired. Oh, yeah. It was over early.

And there was even potential. I just, I was tired. You know what it is? When you go out now, I think you realize, like, it's really all the same shit. Like, you're really not going to miss anything that you haven't already done or experienced. still you get to a point where you like, bro, I can go home now and get like a good, a real eight hours of sleep.

You know what I mean? And that's what it was. I was like, let me just go home. We could have went out and did something. But drop Rory off at his car. I went home. I once again was vulnerable with mall. I talked about on this podcast

where I sent him a link to my album. Oh, yes. I'm so glad you want to talk about that. Then I get no reply, which is fine. Then he texts me like three days later with some other shit. Like he could still see the link was there. Didn't even double. double-tap it for like the heart to make me feel better.

Never listen to it. He's like, now I want to get in like the right setting and really like really fuck with it. I know how hard you worked on. He gave me the speech, the bullshit. It's recorded. Really, really high. So yesterday when he's driving me to my car, you know, the sprinter speakers are crazy. I resend it to him because I'm like, oh, my shit will sound, it can't sound whack on these speakers.

We get through just the intro and then we get to my car, which was fine. And then Maul's like, no, no, I'm just listening to the shit all the way up town. I was expecting. I was up all night. Maybe that's why I'm sick. Tossing and turning. Waiting from all to walk in here today.

And be like, yo, listen to your shit. Ben or repeat. It's a classic. It's a classic. First of all. Modern day instant. You know what it is, bro? Rory sent me this album when he was still working on it.

And I'm like, I know how this goes. It's going to completely sound different by the time you put this out. I don't want to listen right now. I want to listen to when it's like, yo, I'm done. This is it. done though. Now I'm glad he bought that up. So last night, dropping him off, I heard the intro because he played that from you

before. That shit was hard. And then after I dropped off, I kept listening. Bro, you really have a really good fucking project. Don't lie to me on camera. No, no. I'm being honest, bro. You have a real, I'm surprised.

I know your ear. And I know your relationships and the artist that you work with. I know all of that. But to hear what you were actually able to go in the studio and put together and actually hear it done and it's great to come out. I'm not going to lie, bro, you have a really, really dope project. That shit is dope. I appreciate that.

That's a really, really dope project. Really, really good music on there, bro. Like, I ain't going to lie. I was listening, and I'm like, I'm like, my boy might be more talented than I thought. Like, you really put together a dope fucking album. Once our contract is up here, man, I'm going full-blown artist, Mo is. They got to be talking to the mic anymore? No, listen, bro, I'm telling you, bro, that's a really good fucking album.

I appreciate it. Really good album. Good music. The feature. the production. In an alternate universe, that shit was ass. How would you tell him?

But then last night he sent me the final, he said this is the final.

This is it. And that's a really dope project. I'm not going to lie. Y'all going to be real happy. with this. It actually isn't mixed though, by the way. No, no, well, it still sounds amazing. Like, it sounds, it sounds great. The songs, the production, a lot of dope features on there. Yeah, man. You did your thing, bro. Proud of you, man. Loyon came to my crib the other day to talk about some financial shit. And he was like, on the way out, he was like, oh, let me know next time that Sunday night party at the strip club is. And I was like, Loyan, we just went over how much money I'm spending and how I need to cut back. Why are you telling you to go to a place where I spend the most money? Yeah. He said, oh, no, no, no.

I got Sunday covered. Oh, okay. I'm about to go crazy with Loyon. We got to look at the books. When the accountant starts talking about that, like, I got it covered. It's like, all right, where that 10K win? No, we got it cover. Yeah, yeah, oh no, you mean I got it covered.

You're just covering it. But yeah, it was a good night, man. Shout out to the Knicks. Shout out to the Nets. The energy in the building was, it felt like a playoff game, even though the NICs are nowhere near the playoffs. Again, unnecessary comment. I think we all knew that.

You didn't need to bring it back up. Oh, yeah, I mean, but, you know, they look like they have a good young core. Yeah, man. RJ Barrett, totally topping. I mean, in terms of just not making playoffs, the Lakers. You know, reach out to Chris and let him know that was wrong. Whatever. It's not like Will Smith can't get in touch with Chris Rock on a personal note. But, you know, again, everybody was talking about, you know, black men have to protect black women.

Yes. But black women also have to protect black men. And I feel like in that instance, and I don't think that Jada had any feeling that Will was going to go up there and put hands on Chris Rock. I'm not going to say that. But I think that she could have done something. You know what I mean? Just something. I'm not saying she could have stopped that.

You know, I think that she could have done something. You know what I'm saying? Whatever that may be. You know what I'm saying? I got respect for all of them. I grew up watching them fans of their work and their art and their craft. But this was just a moment that, you know, it was unfortunate and it shouldn't happen.

So I just hope that it stopped soon because it's just too much at this point. Some more gossipy news. Cardi B quit social media over Grammy's backlash. What was her Grammy's backlash? Well, people were saying things because she, uh, she tweeted something about the Grammy's. I don't really know the full story.

But she says, I'm deleting my Twitter, but on God, I hate this fucking dumbass fan base. You got the slow dumb asses dragging my kids all because y'all thought I was going. So her fans thought she was going to the Grammys. And she didn't. So she said, all this because y'all thought I was going to the Grammys and I didn't. The fuck, when the fuck I hinted I was going. Just fucking stupid. I can't.

I need to, needs to protect myself. I need to protect myself too, Cardi. I respect that. Y'all so fucking dumb. I really don't like y'all. suck my dick. Sometimes you've got to get straight to it. No, listen, I understand.

Sometimes you got to tell your fan base to suck your dick, even when you don't have one. Despite being one time, this was one of the tweets that somebody tweeted, despite being one-time Grammy winner and having five number ones, Cardi B is the only female rapper ever to still unable to sell out her shows, and she is the only female rapper in history to send death threats to her own fandom. She is the only female rapper to do so I get it, Cardi I understand sometimes you got to just go off the grid detach yourself

but I'm always a fan of you don't have to read that shit like you know I understand how it affects you and people saying things especially when they saw some people talking about her kids

somebody said they hope her son or somebody died it's just we know that people have access to the internet that it's their goal to just irritate and frustrate and upset people You know, to make you feel as shitty as they feel. We know that.

And so I understand Cardi, you know, she might be going through, you know, just an emotional time. And so it's good to detach and, you know, remove yourself from that. But telling your fans to suck your dick, it's just never a good idea. Well, specific fans, when they do some bullshit, you can tell that. Yeah, but I think that Cardi is, she's on a whole other level. She doesn't need to be telling fans to suck her dick. I mean, it's on brand, though. It is on brand.

For Cardi? Yeah. Yeah, but she's she's elevated. She's definitely evolved as a woman, as a person, as a human. Like, you know what I mean? So I feel like, it's just now I get it. I understand you see things, especially when you start talking about people's kids. Oh, yeah.

Now all bets is off. You can say whatever you feel to defend your family. That's also a lie of that fact that she's the first female rapper to threaten her fans. Don't come at me. I like Marcus Smart, but, you know, we're talking about having to go against Brooklyn, Philly. Tough. Miami. Tough. You know what I mean? And, like, that's Milwaukee.

You know what I mean? Like, I like Milwaukee's chances. but I just don't think they go back to back. They're going to be tough, but I'm going to go back to. So my favorite to win it all is the Phoenix Suns. Okay. I think that Phoenix will, I think Chris Paul gets his ring this year. Hopefully he stays healthy.
