This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything.
Like packing a spare stick.
I like to be prepared.
That's why I remember, 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline.
It's good to know just in case.
Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime.

I'm Daniel Jeremiah.
And I am Greg Rosenthal.
I know that, Greg.
We're teaming up on 40s and free agents, the podcast that owns the NFL off season.
This is where teams are built.
Free agency, combine, pro days, trades.
Every move matters.
From my draft boards and mock drafts to my vaunted top 101 free agents and how
rosters come together.
Quarterback movement.
Surprise signings.
We'll tell you what it means and who really wins.

Oh.
Oh.
Hey now.
Welcome.
It's a matchmaker,
a.k.a. NFL Daily's offshoot where...
Okay, I love this music.
Four swinging singles.
Fine.
Their love connection.
No, it's four NFL analysts.
Try to connect some players changing teams this offseason.
Here we are.
I'm Greg Rosenthal on really the doorstep of free agency.
The frenzy.
starting and I'm surrounded in the Chris Wesleying podcast studio today by Patrick Claibon,
Jordan Roderig, and Colleen Wolf. Are you ready for some matchmaking?
I've never been more ready. I was born ready and this music is making me even more ready.
I love it. We're not all swinging singles here, you know? But I said that, but I've been married a long
time. Just wanted to point that out for the record. Yes.
Because my son now listens.
Hey Walker.
He's a fan of the show now.
He's been listening.
Walker.
Everything's good, big man.
That's where my mind goes.
Oh, no, he would be saying it.
He would be, he would be, he's always like, oh, mom, you divorced dad.
He's being annoying.
Whoa.
Yeah.
We go with hard, um, hard line jokes.
We've lost the vibe.
We need the music back.
We need the music back.
We need the music back.
Oh, my God.
Nothing's off limits in the Rosenthal House.
Any jokes on the table?
What's not on the table in this match baking game
is projecting a player to return to his current...
Boring!
So here's how it goes.
About being swinging singles.
Yes.
In just a moment, we're going to each pick a piece of paper
from a little jar here that Eric put together.
Keep it going.
Whoever draws...
the number one
will have the first overall pick.
Love it. Oh, it's names.
Whoever draws, what does that mean?
Oh, so whoever...
Our conversation, our conversation before the show
was you pick...
Then who's picking it? I'm picking it?
Yeah, you said, you said we'll pick one name
and that is the first overall pick
and we will go to the right.
It's your game. It's your game.
We're swinging, this is the magic.
We'll go to the right of that person.
That is the first overall pick.
Just to keep it simple, we'll go to the
right after that.
And the first overall pick
we'll go to...
Colleen.
Hey!
Okay.
Thank you very much.
And with the first...
Oh, wait.
I got to explain a little more.
What the game is.
Just kidding.
Do you know what the game is?
It's a...
I'm struggling.
It's a matchmaking game.
Good, good, good.
Where basically we take any free agent
or potential trade candidate
and we put them on a new team,
no going back to the same team.
Now, the rules, though, are you can pick multiple teams for the same player, like someone else could pick that player.
If you wanted to, let's say, go Kyris Tonga to the Chiefs, trying to just pick someone that's probably not going to get picked.
Jordan could still go Kyris Tonga to the Titans if she wanted.
Kyris Tonga to the Chiefs would be off the board, but you can do multiple examples.
And again, you can't go back to the same guy.
We're going to try to get through a lot of picks here,
hit as many teams and players as we can.
The winner of this game, we will be keeping score.
Oh, that's right.
Through April 1st, we've got to put an end day on it.
April 1st is the end date.
The winner of this prize will get.
And again, I did ask Walker, who's now a consultant,
what should the prize be?
He said a $25 Amazon gift card.
He knows I've got some leftovers.
Okay.
And two minutes.
and 37 seconds uninterrupted on NFL daily
to use however you see fit.
What?
That's probably the more exciting part.
Wow, Walker is already a content.
No, he didn't come up with that part,
but I should have given him credit, yes.
But the gift card will be nice too.
Got a couple sitting around.
Okay, so we're going to keep track,
and we've got to think of a tiebreaker too along the way.
But Colleen, why don't you get us going?
Whoever's taller?
Making some matches.
No.
Well, I'm going to lose every time.
Patrick's like, yes, please.
The Patrick goes like, go for it.
Okay.
I want to run an outright.
The number one overall pick in the free agency matchmaking draft.
Yes.
Is Trey Hendrickson, who, congratulations, buddy.
You're going to get out.
You're doing it.
It's so good.
And he's going to the Colts.
My family team.
It makes total sense.
Hopefully it makes.
a lot of sense for
Trey Hendrickson's bank account
but this is like
a seamless transition
considering Lou Anorumo is
the defensive coordinator and
they also have Marion
Hobby there as their D-Line coach
who was in Cincinnati as well
you can basically
plug and play
him and this
obviously fills a need for Indianapolis
too like nobody needs help
more at the position than the cult
So I think that this is a great fit.
Yeah, we didn't talk on our show post tag
of the guys who didn't get tagged
because we expected there was no surprises.
I didn't like what the insiders did
when they were like sending out.
Trey Hendrickson will not be tagged.
I was like, you reported that three weeks ago.
You can't re-reported as a headline
because not much is happening.
So yes, Drehendrickson.
So, yes.
Congratulations.
Man, their cap situation.
They're keeping DeForest Buckner,
Charverius Ward.
It's going to be tricky.
They're probably losing Quitty Pay.
We'll see if Trey Hendrickson gets brought up.
again on the show, but I like that to start.
Jordan, you're up number two.
I am going off of a little possible reporting as well on this one, a little tidbit from the NFL
Combine.
I think Jonathan Franklin Myers is going to the San Francisco 49ers.
And I think the reporting aspect of this is I think he's got a nice little market forming,
ran into some chatter in Indianapolis and sort of just been keeping it in my
back pocket for now because Greg won't reply to me.
What do you mean?
Going on to you all of you guys?
I responded, I'm sure.
So I think that he is a perfect match.
We want to talk about teams that need pass rush help.
Jonathan Franklin Myers is a guy who I don't see staying in Denver, who are going to have
other needs to attend to and probably going to invest more on the offensive side, in my
opinion.
And he is sort of a perfect fit for what Rahim Morris wants to do.
he can obviously rest the passer, but he can kick inside a little bit as well.
And I think that he just personality-wise, he fits.
He's a veteran.
Teammates love him.
His Broncos teammates, apparently, were trying to make a case for him to stay there.
But obviously, there's only so much money to go around.
I think that of the teams who I believe are interested in Jonathan Franklin Myers,
a handful at this point, I do think that San Francisco would be a nice fit for him.
He's one of those guys that, yeah, had a lot of chatter.
So I think there was some chattering for him being done
because he was in that Jeremy Fowler up, you know, article
with like five teams that are interested.
Well, when you hang out in the same two lobbies,
all in Indianapolis, you're going to run into the same people.
Albert Breer and Matthew Berry, the former,
are he still the talented Mr. Roto?
I don't know if he still goes by that.
Connected him to the Titans, which would make sense with Robert Talet.
Oh, who knows?
Maybe that'll actually be a pick later.
I shouldn't be given.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Are we going to jump in?
Away.
All right.
All right, third pick.
Well, this should have been number one.
Kyler Murray to the Vikings.
Ooh.
Why am I taking a shot?
I just feel like.
Maybe I'm crazy.
At this point, I'd be a little surprise if he didn't.
And I know there's like a whole scheme idea.
Would Kevin O'Connell want to go from a guy, J.J. McCarthy,
who's not great throwing to the middle of the field when so much the offense is built on throwing to the middle of the field to another guy who, you know, hasn't excelled in that area in his career?
I just think it's financially and opportunity-wise,
just a perfect for now match for both of these sides
that for this year,
let's see what Kyler can do.
We want to compete if we're the Minnesota Vikings this year,
and we only have to pay our quarterback like $1 million,
something like that.
There are other options out there,
but speaking to chatter at the combine,
I feel like the most consistent chatter, unfortunately,
was like, oh yeah, the Vikings, they're done with Jay Jim McCarthy.
Like, I don't know about done.
It seems like contradictory messages before.
And now the quest he's got either way.
With the fourth pick, I would like to go not based on reporting, but purely on vibes,
the Denver Broncos and Travis E.T.N.
I like that.
A lovely relationship where Sean Payton gets another talented runner who is great in the screen
passing game.
It seems too good to be true.
But they've got the money and the opportunity.
So why not make it happen?
I would love that.
I mostly want moves that will make it more fun for me to watch football.
And I feel like them getting a great 1A to kind of go with R.J. Harvey as a 1B would be perfect.
I love that.
All right, Holly, you're up.
I love Malik Willis to Miami.
I had that one too.
Miami.
Because obviously the Packers connection.
With my free agent fits, I love.
to find some type of connection between a past team and a present team.
And with Jeff Halfley there, this is like, it just makes sense.
He was obviously the Packers DC.
And so he spent two years with Willis there.
And you have John Eric Sullivan, who was also the VP of player personnel with the Packers.
So now he's the GM.
It just kind of makes sense that they know him.
They know what he can do.
They saw him develop.
They know what else he needs to work on.
and that feels like a good fit there.
I like it.
Well, you sort of scooped me on that one.
I really like that one a lot.
I had that one.
I have another quarterback one for my pick.
Jimmy Garoppolo to the Arizona Cardinals.
Mike LaFleur, the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals,
was actually the one when he has been the plane caller this year,
or in the last couple of years.
Jimmy G. has been the quarterback.
A couple of really solid games.
Michael Flore absolutely loves Jimmy Garvey.
up below, I could see this happening, and as a little bonus pick as well, which, you know, it's
kind of crazy.
Can't throw in another player.
But it's a, it's a hinge.
It's like they're attached to, if this happens, if this happens, then this will happen.
That's two picks.
Okay.
I'll wait.
I'll wait.
I'll wait.
But, you know, since we are so clear on the rules to begin with.
I mean, obviously you can't take two picks at once in a draft.
Oh, the only thing I was confused with was, yeah, taking this out.
You know what, guys, this really feels like a family.
It does.
It's really resembling my family.
Here we go.
The vibes are getting better again.
Once again, you guys have left me just great value here.
Wondell Robinson to the Titans.
The only thing I'm worried about with this one is it feels like one of those free agency connections that's spoken about so much I had a free agency that like does it actually happen in the end?
But usually they do.
If you kind of look back at the.
free agency window opening and then there's like four signings right away.
There's always like two or three every year that are just like, oh yeah,
that's exactly what everyone's been saying for a while.
Huh?
I feel like Zach Allen to the Broncos back in the day was one of those.
I think Wondale back with his coach, Brian Dable, just filling a big time need.
They need three receiver.
People are like, oh, do you really want to spend $15, $20 million on Wondell?
Yeah, you need like three different receivers probably there.
I know they have some young guys that they like, but this fills one.
that they're probably not going to use
the number four overall pick on.
Yeah. I think it makes sense.
Love it. Get quality around Cam Ward.
Dave all his guys. So speaking of his guys
with this next pick, I would like to assign
PJ Locke to a new relationship
with the Buffalo Bills.
We're doing PJ Locke in the second round.
This is outrageous.
They all count as one.
I'm trying to win. We're in one
un-round. He's Brad Holmes. He doesn't
care what round. This is the right pick.
Yeah, a lot of changeover.
Obviously, defensively for the Buffalo Bills, you get Jim Leonard coming over.
You get a player he's very familiar with.
Bada-Boo-Boo-Dabooom, match made.
I love this.
All right.
This would be the smart way to actually, to attack this.
I have lost some off-season games.
I'm down to win this.
Look through the lower-level guys of the coach connections.
Because for some reason, I was just like, well, we got to talk about the top guys, you know.
But that's got to be harder maybe.
More of a market.
All right, you're up, Colleen Rock.
Okay.
My pick is going to go to the Chargers, who have a huge need now at Center after Bradley Bozeman retired.
And you know who's going to go there?
It is a former Raven, well, I guess to be.
Tyler Linderbaum, I like him going there.
Chargers GM, Joe Horowitz, was with the Ravens when they drafted him.
So he obviously has that familiarity there.
And yeah, so he's going to, the Chargers are going to finally get some help on their offensive line.
like that is always the issue for them forever.
The interior, just they can't for even,
it's not for lack of trying.
No, that's for sure.
It just can't figure it out.
I could see them going for them.
I could see that the Titans spending a lot of money
if Linderbom's trying to just make the most possible.
Is that your pick?
No.
I think Linderbom is going to go,
I said that in a way because I think Linderbom will go back to Baltimore
if I had to guess, but still still a great choice.
All right.
Ooh, love it.
Okay, mine is for the Denver Broncos.
I'm going Kenneth Walker.
here, particularly because they have been pretty open about wanting and needing to upgrade the way
they run the ball.
Garrett Bowles talked to us about wanting the team to run the ball better, and that could have
been a difference maker for them down the stretch.
Ken Walker, I think, is a perfect fit here because of his creativity and his ability in the
past game.
John Payton loves a running back that he can get his quarterback to throw the ball to, and I think
that Ken Walker is a perfect match for a team that is really in a win now sort of window right now.
What was on my list, partly because of the, yeah, the Broncos are going to be shopping big maybe at Ronnie Mac, partly because it would be fun to watch and partly because Patrick already took ETN.
I was just like, well, if they're going to go big, it's one of those two guys. Patrick's quietly putting together a stellar draft over here.
He's doing great. I'm going a little more under the radar. I'm going to go David Edwards to the Texans.
David Edwards is a guard who's played the last few seasons with the bills. I think the Texans, by.
trading Titus Howard and juice scrugs for what it's worth.
We're signaling, I think they're going to go big on this market.
Maybe they've been listening to NFL daily and would try to do the two for
Connor McGovern and David Edwards as a combo.
Again, that's not allowed to two players at one.
So I'm going to go Edwards to the Texans,
just thinking that they're going to be swimming at the top end of the interior
offensive line pool.
They're going to swim at the top end of the entire offensive line.
from my perspective.
I will skip ahead of my Texans'
offense alignment, maybe come back to them.
You can do it.
You can do it.
And I'm going to have another reunion now that you guys have caught on.
AG needs his people in New York.
Amic Robertson is there.
They have a need at cornerback.
Make it happen.
Amic Robertson playing for the Jets.
Hey.
Well, this guy's money balling this draft.
I know.
I don't like it.
I know.
We want it to be like.
He's putting on a clinic.
He wants to win.
And I'm mad that I didn't do the same thing.
And he already has the height tiebreaker too.
No, he's not getting the height tiebreaker.
We will come up with a tiebreaker during the break.
I mean, he's got to be doing like long snappers soon and like kickers.
You guys talk me out of it.
He's digging up who the godfather is someone's child is.
I do like we're peer pressuring him out of what's been an excellent strategy.
Colleen, you're up.
This is genius, Patrick.
Stay with it.
Don't listen to the noise.
Stay on track.
Quay Walker, he's going to go to the Titans.
This is something that just feels very Robert Salee, and as he tries to rebuild this team sort of in his own image.
And Cedric Gray, like, he was wonderful, but he needs a partner.
And it can't just all be him doing everything.
That's fun.
A team, I think, is going to spend an incredible amount in free agency.
And it wouldn't surprise me if they, like, free agency is defense and then the draft is more offense.
So we'll see.
That's great.
I like it.
Okay.
my plea to the Panthers is get Dan Morgan his linebacker.
I'm going Devin Lloyd.
To the Carolina Panthers,
I don't think they will be shy at investing in the position.
They have been all but extremely open about their desire to upgrade that part of their defense,
among other pieces as well.
But that's Dan Morgan.
He's sort of held himself back a little bit from going after a linebacker to this point
because there's been greater needs everywhere else.
And I just say, get Dan Morgan his linebacker, Devin Lloyd, to the Panthers.
I love that.
And the Devin Lloyd chatter's been quiet.
I don't know if that's worrisome.
Or sometimes that just means like, boom, it's a team that's keeping their cards close to the best.
Because I want to see him get paid.
And I've had a hard time trying to figure where he fits.
And that is a perfect fit.
I've got a few that could work for the Cowboys.
Because I think they're going to be spending.
Wait a second, though.
I mean.
I'm just going to pick out one.
Okay, there we go.
Yeah.
You can pick one.
I'm going to start with Nicobi Dean.
to the Cowboys.
That's your official pick.
That's my official pick.
Going to the Cowboys,
Christian Parker,
the defensive coordinator,
just had them in Philadelphia,
massive need.
They kind of have massive needs
everywhere but defensive tackle
in Dallas,
especially after we hear
Azaraku's coming off a hip surgery.
So I think they could go big at edge.
I think they could go big at linebacker.
I think they could go big in the secondary.
But I will go Nekobi Dean.
There is something about the Cowboys.
I think they want to stick it
to the Eagles. They're not allowing
like the coach to interview.
Like there's a lot. There's a lot going on between
those two teams right now. Okay. I'm going to go
big name. Okay. You know, from
my perspective. The Washington commanders
and Rashid Shaheed.
Ooh. Let's go.
Thank you. There you go. I'm sorry.
I'm done. I'm done with my strategy.
Okay. Honestly, though, that
that makes sense to me. I love it.
I think like what do you think is the
if we're going to do 10 picks here and we're through round
four now. How much will
take to win this competition?
Probably five, four?
No, I think it would be lower. Two.
I'm thinking two or three.
This is a very difficult game
to do. It's the regular season.
Yeah, we're mostly spitballing. It's more just a fun
way, like good fits, teams.
Shahid there would be awesome, though.
Yeah, it would be fun. I am
really curious what they're going to look like. Let's
actually take a quick break right now. We've done four rounds.
We're going to come back. We've got six rounds to go.
Everyone strategize
and get ready.
Okay.
We're going to make up some new rules, too.
What?
No.
It's a regular season.
This music rocks.
Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything.
Like packing a spare stick.
I like to be prepared.
That's why I remember 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline.
It's good to know, just in case.

I'm Daniel Jeremiah.
And I'm Greg Rosenthal.
And this is 40s and free agents.
The games may be over, but the NFL never stopped.
This is my favorite part of the calendar.
Yeah, mine too, Greg.
Free agency, the combine, the NFL draft, Pro Days, trades.
This is where teams reshape their future.
This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money.
On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters.
From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits, to my top 101 free agents and how real
rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included.
You got quarterbacks on the move.
We got teams rebuilding.
It's hope season.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's hope season.
We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your favorite team.
Smart analysis, real conversations every week.
I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis.
Listen to 40s and free agents on the I-Hawks.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Back on Matchmaker.
A lot of love connections.
Already established.
Do we need to bump up the prize?
So what do you mean?
I just feel like two minutes and 37 seconds.
Was that the number of airtime on NFL Daily?
That's great.
The $25 gift card, I think, would be great.
For entertainment purposes only.
Oh, that's true.
How about some chicken wings from the place that Jordan
has been gatekeeping.
She does not support local business.
She says there's some great chicken wings in the local area,
but she doesn't want to tell me about it because she wants it to be her place,
which is literally anti-small business.
And when they have those signs up that they're closed forever,
she'll know that in their heart.
So maybe this will help open it up.
This is an effective...
Attack on her.
This place will never need help because they are thriving because their wings are that good.
Right.
And it is actually directly supporting local business because they are locally owned and immigrant owned.
So this is purely about geekkeeping Greg.
Yes, it is specifically gatekeeping Greg.
That could be costing them thousands of dollars in chicken wings that I would be buying every year.
I think you are underestimating the amount of chicken wings that I eat every year.
Well, I'm not, you plus me.
Sounds like these two are going to have a wing eating content.
Yeah.
What?
What? I think we'll bring in...
We'll bring in some wings.
We're loving this idea for a contest.
All right, we're going to pick up a pace lately.
Strong.
And we're going to get to...
We're in round five here of the draft.
I hope you guys got a lot of picks.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Tons of picks.
Okay, so...
I felt the pressure.
You're up.
Here we go.
This one goes to the Ravens.
And Eric Dicosta, what does he love to do?
He loves to sign veteran edge rushers to the short-term deal.
And that's exactly what he's going to do again when Khalil Mack ends up in Baltimore.
Instead of retiring, not retiring.
Uh-uh.
He's going to address that need.
And then also, Jesse Minter, a little reunion.
Yes.
Oh, those two.
She's done it again.
Colleen.
Patrick was so fired up over there, as she was saying.
I knew she was on, you know, a heater when she went with the Colts defensive line coach
right off the bat to start the show.
She came to play.
She's gutting for that gift card.
I am.
Jordan, and the wings.
I am going
cornerback, Alante Taylor,
to the Philadelphia Eagles.
A similar system to Vic Fangios
that he will be coming from.
You can move him back outside
and keep Cooper DeGine still inside full time.
Take a little to heat off that secondary.
Dangerous.
A perfect, perfect schematic fit
for both Joe Casper and Vic Fangio.
Ooh, since I had him written down anyways,
I might as well just keep the Alante Taylor train going.
I'm putting him to the Cowboys and even better fit
because he is better on the inside.
I think you're losing some of the juice.
You know, to me he's a guy, one of the only guys,
there was some crazy stat in NFL history
to have like 20 tackles for loss and 50 passes defense
in the first four years of his career,
a guy who can play behind the line of scrimmage.
And so to me, the Cowboys would be a nice fit.
Same scheme, essentially.
Same division.
Butting heads.
More wide open.
More wide open in the middle.
Fifth round heating up.
All right.
You're up, Patrick.
Okay.
Since you guys have gone secondary, I'll take it back closer to the line of scrimmage.
Carolina Panthers got some help from Jordan earlier.
Let's give him some more help with some young talent.
Kingsley and Iqbari going to play on the edge outside of two other really good linebackers.
Now we've completely fixed the Carolina Panthers.
You're welcome, Carolina.
Carolina Panthers.
It does feel like a move that they would make.
He like fits like the body type and I can just imagine Kingsley and I'mari.
And if you're concerned about the snap count, you're losing snaps to Michael Parsons.
It's okay.
And you just need guys.
Like they need a guy to fill in 650 snaps.
Like good run stopper.
It makes sense to me.
Okay.
Well, I'm going to go back to Alante Taylor.
Yes.
Whoa.
Make that money.
A popular man.
And I am going to put him on a team where Dennis Allen is because Dennis Allen coached him for three years previously.
So he's going to Chicago.
And also that makes sense because the Bears were rumored to be in trade talks last year for him.
So we know that there was a precedence there that they wanted him.
And now there's a connection to.
They're so fascinating.
We talked about it on Wednesday.
And I picked up that little crumb Jordan left out there.
where they're going to have to say goodbye to some people in their secondary,
which is just a little item.
I clocked because they got some important people there.
Who we could talk about on this show if we wanted,
Jaquan Brisker, Nishon Right, is there.
Kevin Byrd is a free agent.
Smoke screens.
He's throwing out smokescreens trying to deviate me off course.
I'm just saying.
You're up.
Okay, I've got a weird one here.
Marcus Marietta,
to the Indianapolis Colts.
If they are not convinced on Riley Leonard,
which I do not think they yet are,
They'd like to see him play more.
The only way to see him play more would have been to have him play more,
but he did not do that.
And I think that Marcus Marriota is a great A backup
and also be a bridge guy who can win you enough games to stay patient
with Daniel Jones's recovery and can do a lot of things that Shane Steichen wants to do in that offense.
He's still got the juice, one of the best backups in the league.
Great bridge guy.
This is what I'm picking with him.
Speaking of dot connecting, you know, Jordan did a big feature on the Colts last season.
I'm putting a little extra into her Colts analysis here.
I would have liked Kyler.
Since I already took Kyler to the Vikings,
it would be hilarious if Kyler was the caddy for the Colts
for like $1 million.
Because what I was trying to think,
he does not really totally fit in the McVeatry system.
I mean, someone else could take that too.
They're not going to do that.
It's just as too chaotic.
But I was like, he would be a great
Shane Steak and quarterback for half a season.
That's true.
Just take a look.
Let's stick at quarterback.
Let's do Malik Willis to Cardinals.
I'm worried about what is the market going to be for him.
Maybe it ends up settling in closer to Justin Fields contract last year than like a $35, $40 million.
Either way, I think he's going to have an opportunity.
It's been quiet.
No one's showing their hand, certainly, that they're into Malik Willis.
To me, it makes sense to me.
So let's be smart, Cardinals.
And let's not shoot for the bottom middle.
You've been living there for about 80 years
making decisions like
out bringing in Jimmy Garapolo
because you're familiar.
You don't have a long timeline there,
Mike Lafleur and Austin for it.
I think you've got to win now.
I think Malik Willis is your best chance.
There it is.
Malik Willis off the board.
I will go offense as well.
I will go to the AFC North
where the Pittsburgh Steelers
are going to have Aaron Rogers back.
We don't know that,
but I am saying it's going to happen.
And he will throw the ball short
to Devo Samuel,
who will be catching passes
from Aaron Rogers.
Oh, I love him with the Steelers.
Yeah, you too.
Oh, I love that pick.
What a draft.
Patrick's having.
I know.
Oh, my God.
Okay.
It's fine.
That's fine.
Patrick, whatever.
How about, we already mentioned him once, but I have him going to a new destination.
Oh, yeah.
John Franklin Myers is going to be playing once again under Jeff Oldbrick, who they were together for three seasons under with the Jets.
And now he ends up with the Atlanta Falcons.
And I think that that would be a nice little way to kind of free up James Pierce, Jr.
and Jalen Walker and let them do some more creative things, too.
So that's a nice one.
It's a good fit.
I like that way.
They're lying in the weeds to Falcons as a sneaky, fascinating team.
Obviously, the quarterback situation is confusing.
They just got a lot going on.
They could be great.
They could be terrible.
I'm going with an NFL daily Saturday Sicko's favorite.
Nick Monterec Buster.
Brown, I think that he will be going to the Los Angeles Rams. Yes, those Los Angeles Rams
who did just trade for Trent McDuffie, I don't think they're done. I think that they're
following the blueprint that they set earlier of bringing in at least two really good corners in
one off season. He's more of an under the radar guide, not a heralded draft pick,
plenty of information on him from the staff connections between Jacksonville and Los Angeles.
and it just feels like it just feels like such a Rams move to come and bring in this guy
and then he absolutely breaks out in their secondary.
Breaking news.
Jordan actually in Vegas has been established as the minus 250 favorite for this exercise.
She's been trying to throw the audience off the scent, St. Patrick's had the great draft.
Here's the reality.
There's only one like, you know, real deal reporter in this.
room, right? That's actually
reports on the NFL with
inside connections. I would go as
far to say if Jordan doesn't win
wow, it's kind of disappointing.
Shame. Shame on my whole family.
What a whole new strategy this is
by.
He changed his entire
approach from negging me at the beginning
to now. Now I'm feeling
overconfident right now.
Complex. I do believe
it that she would be the favorite.
and she's got to deliver as a favorite.
That's the hardest thing to do in the NFL.
I'm going to take Trey Hendrickson to the bucks.
It just makes sense to me.
We hear them talked about with the Max Crosby potential deal.
Hey, how about instead of giving up the farm for Max Crosby,
let's just sign Trey Hendrickson for maybe less money than Max Crosby.
And what are you saying?
Well, this feels like a familiar idea that we might have discussed.
Did you already throw that out there?
No, no, no.
Collusion.
Collusion.
Pampered.
I can't remember.
I can't remember if I thought or said it.
So, never mind.
Scratch out.
On this, not on this show, though.
Not on this episode.
Okay, well, then it's fair game.
Schefter threw it out there, too.
I mean, I'll say my sources.
He threw it out there.
Maybe it's a long time list?
It's been making sense that they need a guy over the,
hey, look, if you wanted Trey Hendrickson to the Bucks,
I'll give you the first six rounds of the draft to take them,
and you didn't do it, Patrick.
No, I did not.
I did not do that.
And so credit to you, Greg, you've got Trey Hendrickson to the Bucks.
I will not go with my other
Trey Hendrickson team. Why not?
And I will go back to Jordan's, you know,
stated relationship acknowledgement
between the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
James Gladstone is there.
Let's say he has some departures
and he needs a cornerback.
They needed a cornerback anyway.
Kobe Durant going to the Jacksonville Jaguars
to play in their secondary.
You know, after all the tags,
and there's been like a resigning or two,
the top 101's composition
changed.
And Kobe Durant snuck in there
as number 100.
Because you don't go to 101.
Jadavent Founi is the all-time 101.
Why is that brutal?
That's a great group.
Number 100.
Hey, number 100?
It's a list.
Yeah, it's an honor just to be nominated.
Colleen, you are up.
I'm right now just like also trying to put,
get my head around the fact that David Blow
is the offensive coordinator for the commanders.
And Durante Jones is,
defensive coordinator and neither one of them
have ever called plays before and they're both calling plays.
Pretty fascinating. That is super
interesting. Okay. Well,
the reason I bring that up is because I think
Isaiah likely ends up
with the commanders,
especially with Zach Ertz, his
future up in the air.
Now likely can come out of
the shadow of Mark Andrews and be
the number one guy. That's a great pick.
I love that. I'm mad. I didn't think of that.
I feel like we should have a lot of commanders. Right now
we have one. Patrick had Rashid Jahe.
going there.
They just feel like they're going to go back
to old school Snyder-era
commander's style and spend
all the money.
They need to.
I have another destination
potentially for Rashid Shaheed.
I think it is the
now Joe Brady led Buffalo Bills.
Joe Brady, who at one point
worked under Sean Peyton
in New Orleans and who
Pete Carmichael,
who now is his offensive coordinator,
is a mentor, was a mentor and has familiarity with Rashid Shaheed.
This is basically going to be a team that can't ignore the noise around it anymore,
a front office that is under pressure, in my opinion, very much group feeling the heat of
if they don't bring in more pass catchers.
And I think Rashid Shahid is a great fit for those gorgeous Josh Allen long balls that we
would really like to see actually activate it.
It feels like it would be cheating in some ass.
Yeah.
Which is why they should do it.
A great offense, a great passing attack.
They got to have the different types.
You know, the different components.
And he is such a great type to add to the mix.
Like, I think of like the old Kyle Shanahan Falcons team for some reason.
He'd be like a supercharged.
Who is it, Taylor Gabriel?
I mean, but like a supercharged one, the speed guy.
Taking the top off.
I want to see it.
I'm going to go receiver too.
Juan Jennings, let's put him with the Raiders.
Connection there would be Clint Kubiak with him in San Francisco.
Similar system.
He just feels exactly like a free agent who's going to get signed by a coach that's worked with him previously
because it's like, oh, we know what we're getting with Joanne.
We'll pay a little extra than his old team would.
He's going to be a rock solid receiver.
The Titans also make sense.
But since I gave them Wondale, I will give Juan Jennings to the Raiders.
I'll go defensive because it's good business for the Bengals.
to try to make things look worse for Coach Lou.
And so Nick Cross will leave
and be signed by the Cincinnati Bengals
and play in Coach Golden Second Day.
That makes...
Wow.
A lot of sense.
And that would maybe cross off some of the safety talk
we would learn with the Bengals in the draft.
We are all the way to the ninth round.
I was just going to ask what...
You only have two picks left for each of us.
So keep that in mind when you're making your picks.
Okay.
I am going to get some help for the Cowboys in their secondary, which is crazy, probably, for me to do.
But I'm going to send Rick Wollin there because he just for some reason feels like he should have already been playing in Dallas.
I kind of, I almost went back to look if he did play in Dallas.
You're absolutely right.
He did not play in Dallas, but I think that's just because he's meant to be there.
All right.
Based on the quality of Patrick's draft, the understanding of connections from Colleen and the reporting from Jordan, I'm actually raising the over-under of correct answers it's going to need to get this thing right.
I think it's four and a half.
Wow.
Wait, how does that work?
Four and a half.
Like four you won't win, five you probably win.
That's what I would say.
Greg's got the itch.
He's trying to set the line at this thing right now.
And actually, yeah.
He's getting a little hot under the collar.
He's getting a little hot under the collar.
There's less rules in California about it,
and so Polly Market, which we normally hate,
actually is established that Jordan is now less of a favorite,
but still a favorite, still a favorite.
Minus 190 now after Collins, Colleen's good pick.
You're up.
Well, I don't know if any of that's making into the show.
We'll see, we'll see how this one goes.
I think Travis E.T.N. to the Chiefs would be a really, really solid match.
I would like to see it.
They really want matchmaking help.
I'll show you my board.
It was right there next up.
And I also pulled a pick away from Greg.
That's good.
And the ninth round, which makes me feel a little bit floaty inside.
Yes, you should.
That is incredibly annoying.
And yet, no.
And yet, I'm now just going to go off.
I'm now just freestyle in here and what I want to see.
Okay.
Just in the way that I can totally imagine that too.
I really like that one.
I should have taken it earlier.
I could just imagine in week one.
starter Tanner McKee for the New York Jets.
I just, I just can see it.
I know I'm just swinging blind here.
I'm just, it's not just about getting it right.
It's about creating some good content.
And let's Photoshop that Tanner McKee.
No.
Why don't we just make that the entire jet like,
put that right there in Florham Park.
I want that.
Bona as something we're sending out.
I want the Tanner McKee in the Jets jersey.
I can just see it.
He would probably be set up for disaster.
but you never know. Patrick, you're up.
Tanner McKee, of course, the backup quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles.
It's for a third round pick. I'll even throw that in.
I don't have to get that right to get the, you know, credit.
Okay.
Because trades are allowed.
We haven't really done trades here.
We haven't done really trades because that adds another level of difficulty here.
But trades are allowed if you wanted to.
So we have two picks left?
Like Max Crosby.
You have two picks left.
Everyone else has one.
So just so I can go ahead to head with you on the Vikings quarterback,
I would like to take Eugene Cyril Smith.
Thank you.
To the Minnesota Vikings as a quarterback.
I've never rooted for you more to be right than this.
That's a good use of a ninth round.
I need this.
I need Kevin O'Connell to resurrect Gino and make it happen.
I think it would be fantastic.
That's my favorite rumor I heard all throughout Indianapolis.
All right, your last pick?
This is my last pick, and it's my most out there.
I'm going to go ahead and do like a crazy dark horse, insane wild card scenario.
But my head says that Mike Evans is going to be back in Tampa Bay.
However, if he doesn't go back to Tampa Bay, I do not think that he goes to Buffalo.
I think that he goes to the Texans because Houston is his home.
He went to college there.
He keeps his off-season home there.
And if he is going to just do a little bit of like an ending type,
tour to an incredible career.
Maybe he goes home for the end.
Wow. That is bold because they have a lot of receivers,
but I could see him doing like sort of a pre-retirement, like,
victory lap, essentially.
I would just like to see him end his career on a happy note.
I hate seeing him injured.
And I hate seeing him frustrated.
And we need Bakerball.
We need him back with the Tampa Bay Buckner.
And here's my beloved Bucks.
We need Baker Ball to keep on rolling.
for maybe a last ride before an extension or not.
We're all waiting for her.
She's begging for it.
Come on.
Robert.
Don't do it.
Don't do it.
I'm taking notes.
I'm playing music.
What do you guys want me to do here?
Jesus.
I don't want to hear it.
Here we go.
I don't want to hear it.
Keep son.
There it is.
You're getting the full minute of it now.
No.
Full minute.
Full minute.
We broke him.
I love it.
We did it.
Aggravated.
Roberts.
He's my favorite.
This is like, it's the best.
He's like a mom who snapped.
Here, you want it?
You got it.
Here it is.
I'm not going to stop playing it now.
In the damn ice cream, Austin.
Here, you want it?
Geez.
Are you guys still talking?
You got to talk Gino to the Vikings for the fifth time this?
Like, that's what's going on in Eric's head.
I just want to point out that I've done nothing wrong, so I should not be subjected to this.
You said the words, Dordy.
You know what you're doing.
You knew what you were doing.
He's so
15.
I will check
No, no, please turn it off.
Please for the love of God, turn it off.
We are going to check
the data and you can find out
when people turned off the show.
And I want to see how many
did it exactly.
Oh my God.
They want these last two picks.
Well, I'm actually really glad
if they've turned it off
before my last pick
because this is an absolute wild card.
This is unbelievable.
I love this.
This will not happen.
And yet there are certain.
teams that I think are led by insane enough human beings to make something like this happen.
And I know that for a few years now, the Los Angeles Rams have been discussing certain
potentially tradable quarterbacks ahead of the deadline as reclamation projects,
seeing how they would like to get guys in their building, turn them into capital elsewhere.
And if, this is my hinge point, if Jimmy Garoppolo, the current backup quarterback for the Los
Angeles Rams as I previously picked goes to the Arizona Cardinals. I would actually like to see
Kyler Murray, who does not fit in this system, no, but come to the Los Angeles Rams where
Sean McVeigh has recently made Cliff Kingsbury, the assistant head coach and had said in his
press conference earlier this week that he would like to borrow some ideas from some of the
offenses that Cliff ran.
Kyler would not be a starter.
He would be a safeguard in case of an injury to Matthew Stafford and a player who they
would want to turn into value down the road by trading.
That is my wildest potential matchmaking scenario.
And also, Kyler, California, son, a nice break from being having to be the starter,
just taking a rest for a second a la Mac Jones, coming back to himself, healing up.
And then we'll see what he's got.
Makes a lot of sense.
But everyone's turned off the show by now.
I thought you were going, I thought you were going Anthony Richardson.
I wonder what Chris Fibona thinks of this.
I see him looking intrigued behind the glass over there.
I'll catch it offline.
That would be a great potential successor.
What did you think?
I thought he was going to go Anthony Richardson to the Rams is just like a fun weird.
No, I like this one better.
Reclamation Project.
Yeah, I like Kyler.
I mean, how did, how are we feeling about how Kyler and Cliff ended?
I guess after Dennis Allen bringing C.J. Gardner Johnson to the Bears.
Yeah.
Any reunion is possible.
But it felt a little weird there by the end.
I'm struggling.
What?
Do I want to go like logic or do I just want to have a...
There's something crazy.
Come on.
Live a little.
Let your hair down.
Do I want to have a little bit of fun?
Think of the Greg of 10 years ago.
Yeah.
On the beat.
On the beat.
NFL now.
Let's just do the move that that we,
all talked about all year
AJ Brown of the Patriots, why not?
The thing that
it makes me hesitate here is like, he's
just gonna, man, I'm talking myself out of it
before I even say it, but he's gonna, he's gonna
cost a lot in terms of draft compensation and man,
they cannot give up draft picks.
Also, it hurt the Eagles bottom line
a little bit, but there is a logic.
I do think they're going to get
someone big in
at wide receiver after cutting Stefan Dix.
All right, you're up, Patrick. Well, I can't have any of my
boring moves after what would be the most
like blockbuster movie.
This is round 10 is the let's get
weird round. I love it.
I know. I was going to go like Kobe Bryant
to the Ravens and it's like, I have to it.
Too safe. It's not exciting enough. Too safe.
Wow. Okay. So the shade.
Now is your chance to pick Kobe Bryant
to the Ravens, Patrick. You can't.
You can't. Yeah, can't do that. I'm going to keep
it boring. I will have
because Kevin Stefanski has
never had the type of talent
that he has big talent at wide receiver
and tight in and Atlanta. But he
He has had a lot of Nick Westbrook Aquinas.
And Nick Westbrook of Kine will come in and play water seeper.
I love him.
For the Atlanta Falcon.
His phrase is, I'm going to keep it boring.
Pause.
Kevin Stavis.
No, that was great.
That was a callback.
That was, you know, you went back to the strategy that got us all angry at you at the beginning.
I appreciate it.
I'm so excited.
That got us all.
He said us all.
That got us all angry, he says.
Yes.
I'm angry at myself with that AJ Brown one.
That was a bad one.
It's not going to happen.
Not with that attitude.
I just want it to.
I love podcasting with you four.
No Stefan Diggs is there anymore.
Are you counting yourself in the four?
Yeah, no, I'm counting Eric.
Chris still has to earn my love.
Eric's been around.
Hey, I've been there, Chris.
I said I love podcasting with all of you guys.
What a week it has been for us.
When you hear from us next,
We will be starting to recap the frenzy.
Who knows?
I don't know.
Sunday night, Nick Shook and I are going to go live on YouTube.
I haven't told anyone else this, but we're going to go live on YouTube.
Because the frenzy really starts on Monday when the tampering window all this time.
But here's what I've learned.
A legal tampering.
A lot's going to happen over the weekend before that even happens.
And so actually, let's get a day ahead of it.
Let's clear the decks a little bit.
There will be more than enough show for a Sunday night show and a Monday afternoon show.
Patrick is going to be live on NFL Network hosting the insiders on Monday.
But Jordan will be with me and Steve Weish.
We're going to be live on the NFL channel.
Oh, wow.
You can watch us there.
We're going to be live on YouTube.
Oh, wow.
And you're going to hear us in your ears in terms of the podcast.

So that's our next Tuesday.
I will also be on the network on Monday.
Colling.
Hosting free agency friends.
I didn't even have to ask.
I knew she was hosting more important things than this and we couldn't get her.
But we got her this week for two shows.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I love working,
doing shows with you.
What a fun of week.
We'll see you on the other side.
I'm Daniel Jeremiah.
