people and incomparable soccer icon Megan Rapinoe to the show.
And we had a blast. Take a listen. Sue and I were like
riding the Lime Bikes the other day and we're like, weee! People
ride bikes because it's fun.
We got more incredible guests like Megan in store, plus news of the day and more.
So make sure you listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the iHeartRadio app, Apple
Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Brought to you by Novartis, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports Network.
Hey guys, it's AZ Fudd.
You may know me as a gold medalist. You may know me as an NCAA national champion. of iHeart Women's Sports in partnership with unanimous media starting August 7th on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, Joe, you think training camp stores would be the biggest
NFL topic of the day? But that's not true. Cam Newton responded to Ryan Clark. Hey,
listen to what Cam had to say.
Hey.
We want to attack the messenger, Ryan Clark.
OK, let's pull up your stats.
Second team, all SEC.
We cannot relate.
Undrafted in 2002, we cannot relate.
Then you have one Pro Bowl in 2011.
We cannot relate.
So if you want to unlock Petticam and everything
that Cam Newton has ever said on this fourth in one show
has always been
Backed by mayor and logic but some way shape form people keep attacking cam the person or why he didn't jump on the fumble
Why he didn't do this or comparing the contrasts? So when I compare and contrast you guys's statistics and Dan Olavsky
Never mind, but as we keep going and we keep unlocking
and keep poking the bear,
and y'all wanna play this game.
Hey.
Hey.
Ryan Clark and my brother, Cam Newton,
you know I love y'all.
I love y'all to death.
Let's keep it football. Let's keep it football.
Let's keep it football.
Let's stay away from the personal shots.
Let's stay away from the personal shots.
Like, I look up to y'all, especially in the spaces
in which y'all dominate.
Talk in the game of football.
Ryan Clark, you the Einstein of this shit.
You the Einstein of this shit.
Cam Newton, when it comes to playing
the quarterback position, you are well equipped to be able to critique
Quarterbacks in this NFL that are playing today regardless of whether you want to Super Bowl or not
You played it at very high level you're very successful at the position
Fellas, let's let's keep it clean
This ain't no boxing match. There's no need to get personal
It's no need to talk about each other in any kind of way shape form of fashion
Everyone loves the drama. They love that part. Let's keep it all about football. It's okay to have the difference in opinion. That's fine
Yes
That's cams opinion though. I don't agree with it. Yeah, that's his opinion
Yeah, I'm never gonna talk about what someone did or didn't do. Look, we all had our time.
Whatever Shannon didn't do, whatever Ryan didn't do,
whatever Cam didn't do, whatever Ocho didn't do,
ain't nothing we can do about it now.
Because ain't nobody going back out there
to get one more tackle, getting one more form of recovery,
catching a touchdown, getting another yard.
There's nothing else we can do.
I agree with you, Ocho.
And sometimes we do get carried
away. What we do is that we don't like the message, so we try to destroy the messenger.
Messenger, yeah.
Okay. Excuse me. Ryan didn't agree with what Cam said. That's Cam's opinion. Cam looks
at it like, look, I'm looking at it and he has Saquon, he has two top five receivers,
he has a very good tight end, plus the best offensive line in football and
plays, but it's backed up by an outstanding defense.
My only retort is there have been a lot of quarterbacks that had that.
Yes, sir.
And we never used that against them, but that's Cam's opinion.
Yes, Cam, he had more, he had and has more to work with than you, But we can't diminish him because he has that.
You don't believe because you said he has all these auxiliary,
these, you know, he has the latest and greatest.
He has he has Apple.
You know, he has all this stuff when we, you know, I'm saying,
oh, Joe, we had the big we had the big brick phone.
We had the Motorola. Yes.
Had the little bag that we had to carry around.
And it was three dollars the Motorola. Yes sir. We had the little bag that
we had to carry around and and
and it was $3 a minute. Yes sir.
And then you had the Roman
charge. Mm hmm. So, if you left
the area, it was that thing was
Roman. Yes sir. I I I hate when
it gets like this. Yeah. Uh uh
uh uh because I believe I
believe Ryan could make his
point. I believe Cam can make his point. I don't. I don't.
But listen, I will say this.
I will say this.
What Ryan and Cam doing, that is entertainment.
That is pure entertainment.
It's great.
It's awesome.
Especially for the platform.
What?
Yeah, if you're trying to grow your platform, yeah.
But they don't need to grow. They're growing. They're gonna grow regardless, based on the platform. Yeah, if you're trying to grow your platform. Yeah, but they don't need to grow.
They're going to grow regardless based on the individuals. What the pivot is doing, awesome.
What 4th and 1 is doing is awesome. So what I saw from them, from Ryan the other day and what I-
Let me ask you a question. Under your logic, what do you think the most viewed topic is? What do
you think Cam's most viewed topic is? What he had talked about or the Ryan Clark? It's probably gonna be this one. Yeah. Okay. So what do you the pivot?
What you think the most viewed thing's gonna be? Whenever Ryan fires back? Thank you. Okay
I mean, I'm I'm going to be you what I try to get you to do
Yeah, us to do is that we stay away from that
Yeah, we no I I tell you to stay away from that. Yeah, we, no, I tell you to stay away from that.
I'm, listen, I'm-
What you mean, did I be stay away from it?
I stay away from it.
I'm on the fence.
I'm always on the fence.
You ain't on no fence.
So listen, listen, at times, at times,
there comes when you have to say your piece
and you gotta stand by me.
It's not even gonna take,
we ain't just gonna have anybody saying any old thing, man.
We can't do that.
But I would never, I would never, and I want them as fun as it may be, being able to pick
at each other for wrongdoings and there are certain things that happen that you can't
change in the past.
You just can't.
I don't want them taking the personal shots at each other.
I don't like that.
Let's keep it football.
Keep the topics football and both of them are well versed enough in the sport itself. We don't have to go the other
route. They probably don't like me anyway, but they're going to do what they want to do. But still,
that's just my- But that's how it is. Your most embarrassing moment is probably what you're going
to be most remembered for.
They don't talk about Cam winning the MVP.
They don't talk about Cam winning the Heisman.
They don't talk about Cam.
Think about it.
Look at his team that won the Heisman Trophy.
You tell me a team that had fewer NFL guys surrounding him than what Cam Newton team
did when he won the national championship.
I defy it. I'm more pounding him than what Cam Newton team did when he
won the national championship.
I defied it. In the last 25
years, show me a team that won
a national championship that
have fewer NFL players than
what Cam Auburn team. Mm hmm. I
don't think he had a lineman to
play. I think I think he might
have had a receiver that played had a cup of coffee. He had I think a might have had a receiver that played, had a cup of coffee. He had, I think, a defensive player to play.
He didn't have, and like I said, just go back and look and see what Cam did.
And look, and Joe had outstanding numbers.
And there have been other guys, you look at two or one of national championship,
there have been some guys that won national championship.
What's the guy?
Matt Jones, and last year.
But you look at that Auburn team and you tell me
they should have won a national championship
with that few NFL talent.
So Cam has been great.
Yeah, absolutely.
He's been great.
You can't take that away from him.
I mean, anyone that don't get.
No, but that's his, when he's looking at oh Joe, it's kind of like you look at a receiver and you say it and you say
Well, I like this receiver XYZ
Mm-hmm people gonna find fault. Well, why don't you pick this guy? Well, well
If you take it seriously stop worried about celebrations ain't no telling what you could have done
You see they go nitpick because they don't like that you getting on somebody that they like
So what they try to do is try to destroy the messenger, right? It's not the message. It's the messenger
Yeah, so if I like the message out if I like the messenger, I'll receive the message
Yeah, if I don't like the message
Messenger, I won'll receive the message. Yeah.
If I don't like the message
messenger, I won't receive the
message. Right. And if I and
guess what? In the message, uh
you know what? Now, I'm going
to turn against you. I don't
like who gave it to me. Right.
Yeah. I mean, that's that's
that's unfortunate. That's
unfortunate. Hey, Hey, what up? Um Teddy Bear. Okay, Teddy Bear. They all look the same now.
They don't. They don't. Teddy Bear. Get on camera twin. He he laid down. Hopefully he'll stay there.
Yeah, it is tough. Oh, Joe, because look, it's gotten to the point that people don't want us to do our job,
Ocho. And I think the thing is, is that more people like us do this now.
Yeah, it used to be a time there was only a handful of guys that did this.
If you weren't on CBS, if you weren't on ESPN, you didn't have an opinion.
If you had retired because you didn't have a platform to share it if you weren't on those platforms right now there are more guys like you and myself that have platforms that are able to
share their opinion right see it used to be hey you ask you wanted guys that have played the game
because before ocho when you when i played you played, well he ain't played a game. So how does he know?
Now you get guys play the game.
Now you get guys play the game at a high level.
Now what's the excuse?
You try to nitpick where you didn't win anything.
Well hell, I don't want everybody to win
because if everybody won, that devalues winning.
There should be a premium on winning.
Winning championships, winning conference, winning the division, winning MVP. should be a premium on winning
winning championships, winning
conference, winning the
division, winning MVP. If
everybody does those things,
what is the value in that?
Right. And hold on. Wait. And
also where's the value?
Sometimes you just happen to be
part of a team that actually
won. You didn't even do
nothing. Yes. There's an
asterisk sometimes. Yeah. All that winning. Oh, I got a ring. Well, yeah, you got a ring, but you ain't got a ring.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
All rings are created equal.
Let's just start with that, and we understand that.
But I'm not, look, I've been very fortunate
to be on shows with a lot of guys,
and I'm very fortunate that I won at a high level.
I won championships.
I went to the Pro Bowl, went All-Pro,
and I got a gold jacket.
But it's not like I wear it, I don't wear the rings.
That's not, honestly, Ocho,
I try to give my honest opinion.
Right.
I understand what it takes to play this game
at a high level, and it's not easy to be consistent,
especially when they know you're the guy
and they game plan for you.
And you still have to find ways to make plays
and make your presence felt.
But people kill me all the time.
I was like, okay, I'm not saying the guy is bad.
I got to take one.
And it's easy to say, I would take both of them.
Hell, anybody can do that. That's not why they pay you money to get your ass on TV to say,
I'd like to have them both. Pick one. Oh, I got better. That is your opinion. I got better than
that. I got better than that. You, you, you absolutely have, but you want, but Ocho,
they understand that you have a job to do. It's not like you dislike one. You're saying based on me playing in this league
for over a decade.
Me playing at the level in which I played
and watching their games,
I think this guy's a little better.
But see, people don't hear that.
People saying, well, you like him, you hate that.
Ocho like mangoes.
Man, Ocho hate bananas.
He hate oranges.
He hate watermelon.
No, bro, I said I like mangoes.
I didn't say anything about hating the other fruit.
Yeah, I've been listening.
And for me, what I've gotten very savvy at,
which I've been very good at, is my delivery.
It's not what I say is how I say it.
Yes.
I've mastered that a little bit to soften the blow
because our players during this era,
during this day, they're very sensitive.
They're very sensitive.
They are.
So I've learned how to navigate
in saying things the right way
where it's not offensive to them.
Now, this year, now that I'm,
I got my feet wet, so I understand that.
Uh huh. I'm gonna be a little bit more upfront with people. Yeah. When it, when it doesn't look like
it should look. You should. Yeah. Ocho, I mean, look, it's not like you a bum because they said
they wanted people to play the game to critique the game. Okay, we're giving them guys that played at an extremely high level.
That's me to critique the game. That's me.
Yes. But what happens is they know they can't run no bull
jive on us because we did play the game for an extremely long time.
And we did play at a high level.
So now what are they going to say? Right.
You right. Oh man. Oh Joe, you didn't win. No. Okay. No, I did not win at a high
level, but just because I didn't win, that mean I wasn't that the mean I
wasn't a damn good player. Hold on that. I ain't win no ring, but I won. Well,
I'm saying that's what see they that's what they're looking at. Well, you I mean Cincinnati but here's the
thing though, Ocho. You went to
Pro Bowl. You're an all pro. So
somebody had to vote on those
awards. They thought enough.
They thought enough of you to
put in your ass to Hawaii. They
thought enough of you to be an
all pro. And I led the AFC four
years in a row and y'all all
while talking **** while they were game
planing for me. That was me.
But you know what has happened though, Jo? It doesn't matter how many great things you
say, they only heard the bad.
Yeah, yeah.
They only hear the bad.
Yes, sir.
Bro, I'm not saying you're a bad person. I'm saying you had a bad game. I'm saying you
had a bad stretch. So am I not, am I not a bad person. I'm saying you had a bad game. I'm saying you had a bad stretch.
So am I not am I not allowed to say what I see?
Right.
People don't understand understands that X has a job to do.
He's doing his job.
He's not talking about me as a individual.
He's talking about me, the player and my play on the field.
So I need to be able to differentiate between you the player and you the off the field person, right?
I'm talking about I'm critiquing your plate drop passes lack of effort
Terrible route things of that nature
Getting blocked not getting off the block poor technique in the backfield
Staring at the quarterback too long,
as opposed to the guy that's running the route.
That's what we're talking about.
We're not talking about you as a individual,
we're talking about you the player.
Right.
And look, I get it.
Cam ain't gonna let nothing slide.
Uh-uh. Cam ain't gonna let nothing slide. Uh-uh.
Cam ain't gonna let nothing slide.
So y'all come for Cam, y'all already know.
Duh, cause the grenade coming back.
Yeah.
He gonna pick it up and throw it,
but he gonna pick it up and throw it back.
Hold on, hold on.
Rye ain't gonna fire back now.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Rye ain't gonna fire back now.
So this is probably going to be an ongoing feud,
which is entertaining. This is great. This is probably going to be an ongoing feud, which is entertaining. This is great entertainment.
This is great for the pivot.
This is great for fourth and one.
It's great for all parties involved.
Listen, me, I'm on the sideline enjoying it and tell them, y'all go to your corners,
go to your respective corners.
Right.
Keep it about football.
Yes.
Training never started.
Yes. Because Cam is looking at it, is that he was put about football training. Yes. Yes. Because you see him is looking at it is that
he was asked to do more. Right. Because he didn't have a running back like Saquon. He didn't have
an offensive line what they have. And he didn't have to receive it like Devante and AJ. Yes,
he came. You were asked to do more. But because you were asked to do more, that doesn't mean
Jaylen isn't a good quarterback.
Right.
I mean, he's a top 10.
Now, if you want to say he's top five, okay, fine.
We can debate that, but a top 10 quarterback?
I can't, I can't, I can't jive with that one.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, I said it before when we talked about it the other night, what Jaylen hurts
his ass to do for the Philadelphia Eagles, he does extremely
well. What Jalen Hurts is asked to do within the confines of that offense,
he does extremely well. People complain. Well, and I said it, I said it on the
way they play offensively, it's not aesthetically pleasing. He's not up Lamar
Jackson numbers. He's not putting up Baker, Baker Mayically pleasing. He's not putting up Lamar Jackson numbers.
He's not putting up Baker Mayfield numbers. He's not putting up Joe Burrow numbers. That's
not the way that offensive skiing works. It's not the way it works. That's it.
You do realize it's hard to play the way he plays because he has to check his ego because
he makes $50 million a year. And now I've got to swallow my ego because I know people
on talk radio and I know people on television is gonna say Jalen Hurts
couldn't do it and look my thing was I was saying he's gonna have to play
better than what he's playing he was turning the ball over at an alarming
rate he was and they were and he was playing bad you look at the postseason
when it hit he played better than at any point in time. Yes, and that's okay
But to say I grade game to game and that's what you love about sports, right?
Because you get to update your resume each individual every week. It's not like a red light. Oh Joe my resume good
They say update your resume every six months in the real work for it
But that's not how it is in pro sports
You update your resume every single week
if you play a weekly sport. Now, if you play basketball, you update that mofo every night.
Yeah. You play baseball, it's the same thing. You understand that, but people that like,
oh, you said pro, I got a new set of facts. Yeah. So when Jalen Hurst was throwing for 100 yards, did he look like what he looked like
in the Super Bowl?
Did he look like what he looked like in the NFC Championship game?
No!
Come on now.
Y'all want to hold, oh, oh, oh, he's playing better.
Yes, he played better.
When he played better, we spoke better about it.
Yeah. Hey, hey, when everybody goes
in training camp, right? Every team, two teams that reported this week on the 22nd on the
19th, whatever it may be. What is the end goal for every team that went to training
camp this week? They won. They say Super Bowl. Some of them fooling themselves. Some of them
know damn well they ain't got no chance to win the Super Bowl. But lie. Sometimes coach the the
the
the
the
the
the the exact quarterback that Ryan and Kam are talking about. They have a chance to go back again.
Yes. And as long as no one howling and no one Mr. Lurie, they might have a chance to go back a third
goddamn time. Yes. The owners, it starts at the top. They mean business. They're not talking.
They actually mean business and they put their wallet.
Man, let me, I'm gonna leave it alone. I'm gonna leave it alone.
Yeah, I mean, look, sometimes, Ocho going to a great franchise is just like sometimes being
born into a great family. You ain't do ish. You just happen to be, you just happen to be born to
a family that's worth hundreds of millions or billions of dollars he went to a great franchise they took look he
was second round to pick dad just gave Carson Wentz over a hundred million dollars
yeah so give Howie Roseman some credit yeah I have a question give Jalen Hurts
some credit that he went there kept his head down it's like when the
opportunity presented itself he took full advantage of it just like he did at Alabama and after Tua came in and took the got the job from him, he went
to Oklahoma and played extremely well and played himself because had he stayed in Alabama,
he wasn't gonna be a second round pick. He had to show that he could throw the football.
He did that when he went to Oklahoma kudos to it.
Right. I got a question. Yes.
Y'all hear me chat. I know y'all looking at me real quick. I have a, I'm just, I'm just throw a hypothetical out there real quick. Um, this for
you too. If you were to switch owners, right? Yes. If you were to take Harry Roseman and Jeffrey
Lurie and put them on the Cowboys and put Jerry Jones in Philadelphia, how many Super Bowls would
the Cowboys have right now? With Jerry Jones? If you take Jeffrey Lurie and Harry Roseman and you give them the Cowboys.
Oh, they won. Yeah, multiple. Yes. And the Eagles and the
Eagles wouldn't be nowhere near the playoffs. It would nowhere
be near the Super Bowl. Absolutely. Okay. See the
difference is Jeffrey Lurie. See, you don't realize how good
you can be if you don't care who gets the credit. See Jerry
wants the credit. You don't hear how I Roseman doing a whole
but I mean uh uh Jeffrey Lurie doing a whole bunch of talking
and we do after you don't hear you don't hear Clark Hunt. You
don't hear Clark Hunt doing talking. You don't hear Stan
Cronk doing talking. You don't hear Stan Cronkey doing talking.
But that's Jerry, look, be who you are. And everybody keeps talking about,
oh, but he got three Subos.
He got two, he got two of them with Jimmy
and the other one with Jimmy's players.
Since Jimmy has been removed from, how many he's got?
How many times have they gotten close?
Y'all got to the playoffs, like, yeah, we just saw a year.
Y'all say that every year.
Because he won't get in the way.
No, ain't no questions about it.
No question.
Even if he had Patrick Mahomes, it doesn't matter.
He could have Patrick Mahomes,
he could have Kansas City's roster,
he could have Baltimore's roster.
It's about, you don't hear Steve Bichotti?
Oh yeah.
Do y'all even know that Steve Bichotti,
if you're a Baltimore, you know, Raven,
you are a Baltimore fan, you know who Steve Bichotti is.
Yeah, yeah.
But for the most part, he stays out of the way.
Ozzy and Eric DeCosta run the show.
See, Jerry wants credit.
That's the difference between owners that win.
Look at Eddie DiBartolo.
Look at the Rudy, look at the team.
Mr. Kraft.
Coach Belichick ran the team.
Coach Mr. Kraft was perfectly fine
with Coach Belichick getting the credit.
You go back and look at Eddie DeBartolo
when they was winning in San Francisco.
Carmen policy did all everything.
And he had Bill Washington, he had George Seeper.
Go back and look at the Rooney's in the 70s.
Bill Nunn Jr. that was,
yeah, Radio Raheem daddy, you don't know that. Radio Raheem daddy was the one that was selecting the players. Bill Nunn Senior. Bill Nunn Junior was Radio Raheem.
I like it. See Jerry wants to be the new age Al Davis.
I like it. See, Jerry wants to I'm not going to be happier but
yeah, we we're not we're not
we're not we're not you want to
get out here. Hey, look who
it is. Look who it is. Oh,
Joe. Who that? Hey, there you
go. What's up? What did you
twin? What you doing up this
time of night? Yeah. Good
question. What you doing up this
time of night? He says I don't go to bed around
nine nine thirty. He said Titus
goes to bed at 730 8 o'clock.
on four with him. What's up
twin? Say what?
I like it. I like it.
Say we went for a car ride today.
Tell Ocho we went for a car ride
today. Bark. Bark. You want to
catch? No, please don't bark.
Don't start that. It's over
here. Oh, what a beautiful day. Yeah.
Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football Club.
We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved.
San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team.
We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like, you're building a team from scratch.
And so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier
and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain, just watching
the fans jumping up and down. I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me.
Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life.

Okay, Jayler Hurst was asked if he will open up
his play style more now that he's won a Super Bowl.
He said, no, I went a very long time being told
I gotta do it a certain type of way.
That didn't get me the win when I did how everyone told me to.
When you put so much energy into personal performance,
you kind of lose sight of the main thing of winning since the 2020 since the loss in 2022. It's been my main motivation to find ways
to win regardless of how it looks. I just want to find ways to win and that mentality.
I want this team to have. I like it. Perfect answer. I
know a guy who who won a bunch
of bunch of bunch of games, a
bunch of games, a bunch of
championships doing it that way.
Tom Brady. Yeah. putting the
team. Y'all remember Tom Brady
in his first Super Bowl? Didn't
he throw for 150 yards? Do y'all
remember Tom Brady in the
Super Bowl against the Rams in
which uh the second Super Bowl when they played in Atlanta. How many yards did he throw for? You see
winning but now they won't jail or hurt the goddamn be like
Patrick Maher man. We need you to throw for 400. I throw for
400 we lose then what are we doing?
Nothing. It just look good until you look at it until you look
at the stat line.
The pretty person to get dressed up with nowhere to go.
look at the NT, look at the stat line. The pretty person that get dressed up with nowhere to go.
I almost see it.
Now what good is that, Ocho?
I got on my Sunday best.
I got on some nice boots.
I got on nice suit, got nice outfit, Ocho.
I'm dressed to the nine.
Nowhere to go.
I ain't got nowhere to go.
So he throw for all them yards and they lose, now what?
The most yards ever thrown for in the Super Bowl game Tom Brady has it. What was the outcome?
Loss.
505.
Loss.
One game he threw for 150. How many yards did he throw for against the Re the second time in um, uh, um atlanta i think was 2019
I'm trying to win
That's it. That's all that matters at the end of the day no matter what no matter what the outsiders say
No matter what the outsiders say
Philadelphia plays one
style of football offensively
One style.
AJ Brown some days, it's going to be your day.
Devontae Smith some days, it's going to be your day.
Saquon some days, some some days, some some days, it's going to be your day.
That's it.
Jayla Hurst, when it comes to the passer game, whatever you give me, that's
what I'm taking. I'm not forcing Nathaniel. And he showed it that formula. It wins you
a ring.
Yeah.
Man, I'm coming back to play this year, man. Fuck that shit.
A reporter asked Jalen Hurts why he didn't wear his Super Bowl ring. His response, I've moved on to a new year.
It's really as simple as that.
Boy, that boy mean business.
Wait, what was his response?
I've moved on to the new year.
It's really as simple as that.
Yeah, Lee.
Boy, that's like some Kobe Jordan type.
Listen, I know I won, but's like some like
that night and then it went in the safety pocket box. That was I'm not wearing make a sound like or trying to like a wind chime. You know.
I like that.
Hey, he's very matter of fact.
He's like, hey, I do.
Hey, he coached by his dad.
He played for coach Saban.
The main thing is the main thing
and it's on to the next.
That was Tom. What's your favorite Super Bowl the main thing um and it's on Yeah, yeah, I think, listen, I mean, they gave, the Ravens gave J-O one when they won in 2012.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I think, I think that's, so I, yeah, I'm probably gonna get
me a ring because I know Joe and Chase and Mike Brown, they gonna, they gonna, hey listen, I might,
hey, I might not be out there in real life. Hey, you see that stance? Hey, call it, call it for me,
I'm calling for you, call it. Call it for me. I'm
calling for you. Call it for me.
All I know is I saw that man
put both hands on your breast
plate. Come on. Sit down in
that chair.
Come on. Call it. Call it.

But Ayo, that gotta be a great feeling, huh?
Yeah.
That's gotta be a great feeling.
I wonder if somebody got that number one sign, because I was number one in the preseason,
Ocho.
That thing might be worth some money.
Even back then, you know somebody got that number one side,
cause I was number one in the pre-season, Ocho.
How you did that?
That thing might be worth some money.
Even back then?
Yeah.
How they let you get away with wearing number one?
In the pre-season, you can wear anything in the pre-season.
All the 80s were gone.
Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.
I ain't know that.
Yeah.
I ain't know that.
Hey, that gotta be a great,
hey, that gotta be one of the best feelings, man.
To see people wearing
your jersey despite-
Oh, for sure.
You finally get drafted to a team and then to come in and that's dope.
That got to be a great feeling.
I remember not only getting drafted, my favorite moment that had me like that, how shallow
was just there, was seeing myself in Madden.
But seeing myself in Madden in 2001, I was going crazy.
My stats was low as hell.
I wasn't tripping, but I would call it on my home,
but I say, boy, y'all won't believe it,
but I'm in Madden.
I'm in Madden.
Just being able to play with yourself,
man, that was awesome.
Even I was slow.
Hold on now, Ocho, hold on now.
Rephrase that. What? Oh, pause, pause, pause, pause. you know, you're gonna play with yourself and that was awesome. Even I was hold on. Hold on.
Hold on. Refrains that what?
being able to pause pause. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Come on back with that.
Yeah. Pause. Pause. Pause. Pause.
Hey, hey, it didn't even. Hey, it didn't. It didn't. It didn't I'm like, I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the
I'm going to go to the I'm going to go to the I'm going to go. Hey, you gotta be good. I need to go
down to Tampa. Hey, he's
passing out free meals. Yeah, I

though the KFC. but I'm the
KFC. I'm the KFC. They used to
have a twenty. They still serve
them 100 barbecue wings. Yeah.
Hey, chat. Can you still get
You eat eggs, fries, get your little coleslaw on the side.
You eat coleslaw?
You don't eat coleslaw?
Hell no.
You don't eat coleslaw?
Mm-mm.
What?
Mm-mm.
Okay, you know, the way you feel
about coleslaw is the way I feel
about my grandma, Okras.
She get them Okras from churches.
I can't do that.
I can't do that.
No, ma'am.
Tell me, do I want some? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I can't do that. I can't do that. No, ma'am.
Tell me, do I want some?
Absolutely not. Absolutely not.
But I will take that coleslaw
with that strawberry soda.
No, no, I can't.
I wonder if anybody in here
from Miami.
No, you know, they don't have
them. Oh, damn.
Because that was, I think the
last, I had them in 1998, and I had them again in 2002.
I think that was the last time.
So.
What a chat look like.
Man, I've only been to Popeye's one time in the drive-through.
Oh, Popeye's biscuits?
But did y'all have Popeye's have proposed cuz we got Popeyes on Friday
No, I'm saying for the team I ain't go get the lemon the lemon did that hey
But I'm linemen don't play the rookies man. They come with big bags of Popeyes. We'll be going on a way on the road trip
Yeah, I remember them. Yeah
But see we got Popeyes on Friday, so they didn't have the conventional meal.
Normally, they, you know, they have a spread,
they have potatoes and they have this and that.
On Fridays, you had Popeyes and you had pizza.
Mm.
And so I would always, they would always bring me,
like, five wings. I just wanted the wings.
Mild.
I'm a wing, you know, I'm a wing guy
when it comes to like chicken.
I eat the wings.
Wings, short thigh, drumstick, breast.
Oh, man.
Every time I think about it.
I know y'all be talking about me.
You can tell country.
He talking about short thighs.
We call them short thighs. We about man, you can tell country. He talk about short thighs. Y'all
say thighs but yeah, we call
them. We call them short
thighs. We call them short
thighs of the country. Short
thighs. So, what's your favorite
part of the chicken? Wing,
breast, thigh, drumstick. I
love I love dark meat. Now,
when I when I go to Pollo
Tropico, you know, they got
Pollo Tropico where you from or
where you at? No, no, I don't
know. Listen, they got what
you're saying. I love I love
tropical, right? I don't know
who. Pollo Pollo Pollo. No,
they ain't got no, I don't know
about no Pollo. Yeah. So, Pollo
tropical. I'm I listen love. I
always get half a chicken dark
meat. I love dark meat. I love dark
I don't like coleslaw. No.
Strawberry soda, strawberry soda and my apple pie.
And I'm good to go.
Hey, you know who got some great fire chicken?
Publix.
Who?
Man, what you know about Publix, man?
Stop playing.
What you know about Publix?
I know when I go in there, I ask them,
where's the last time, can y'all drop me some wing?
They like, Mr. Sharp is gonna take us.
I say, I'll be right here.
Man, you done made me
get up out of my seat. I'm on my. I go I go sit I go sit in the car for them 50 for them 12 to 15
minutes. What you know about public chicken huh? Man I hey I go get in the four I get that the four

You had Publix cake or the cupcakes.
I ain't no cupcake guy.
Oh, I don't know what kind of cake.
I don't know what ingredients.
I don't know what public does when it comes to the cake
and the cupcakes that Publix, Lord have mercy.
I ain't never tasted nothing like that. Anybody in the chat,
anybody in the chat that had them public, the public's cupcakes know what I'm
talking about. Man, man. I don't know Ocho. Hey, boy that public chicken and cupcakes
that public chicken and cupcakes.
Don't owe me nothing.
Don't owe me nothing.
Oh, man, but you just pull back some memories, boy.
No, I got this lady, her savory and sweet treat. A.T.L. man, she do cakes.
Yeah, she doing a red velvet for my brother.
Yes, sir. He coming into town on Sunday.
She can get out.
I already know.
I already know she wash her feet because she had both feet in him.
Yeah.
Oh yeah man.
Hey, speaking of cooking, I haven't been able to find them.
There's a young lady that used to cook for us, my friends and I are friends that came
in town in Cincinnati.
If anybody from Cincinnati sees this, her name is Miss Sonata.
I haven't been able to find Miss Sonata in years.
I'm talking about years.
I'm sure that's what happened.
What she cook?
Man, when all them boys came in town, man, we used to have baked chicken, macaroni and cheese,
candy am, greens.
I specifically would always ask her, Ms. Snodda, please make me my yellow cake with the chocolate
icing.
On top of that, she had other specialties that she was exquisite at and she would add
that to the
meal.
Now I'm talking about, I used to fly in maybe 30 people for a Pacific game.
It had to be a good game.
It was planned.
I had my homeboys off in the street.
Then I had my people out in the alley, called my alley boys, Vicks, all y'all boys.
I knew y'all probably gonna see this, man.
We used to come out there. We used to go to the store, right? Let me tell you how I had
to stay in rockin' in Cincinnati, I don't mean to be off topic. We would go to the music store,
you know like the music store like Sam's or something like that. We would get whistles,
we would get drumsticks, we would get cowbells, and I would have all them boys in the family section, everybody have
on 85 jerseys, everybody have on 85 jerseys, right? So it's about 30, 40, 40 dudes, everybody got 85
jerseys on, everybody had on Timbs so they could make the noise with the Timbs in the stadium,
with the bells and the whistles in it and the cowbells. Them boys turned the stadium out.
I'm talking about turned it out.
So they didn't put all the Liberty City
and Cincinnati up there cutting the food
like they the junker knew.
Dog, them was some of the best times.
And when that lady Mrs. Nye used to cook for everybody,
oh man, the food was perfect.
It was good.
It was good.
Yeah, ain't nothing like old home cooked meal.
Like I said, I had a teammate, man.
I wish I could find him.
You had a girl?
You talking about that yellow rice and chicken?
Yeah.
Which you cooked.
I see why.
Reggie, I know you watching this,
named Reggie Johnson.
He ain't made weight yet.
Yes.
Oh my God.
Hey, Ocho, I be like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, that child can cook and she love to cook. He was big like
muscle. You talking about
muscle. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He
was solid. Red was solid. Yeah.
Yeah. Damn. But hey, put a
steam room in the house and
everything. It's still a work.
Me, I'm taking everything. I'm
eating the cornbread muffins. I
mean, like I said, that child could cook. I've I've eaten the cornbread muffins. I
mean, like I said, that child
could cook. Oh lord have mercy.
If you play, if you endeavor,
yeah, and you're the endeavor
from 919293. Uh huh. We had
game like we go there. We play
card. They play. We talk with the thing, play tongue, roll dice,
more cooking.
Ah, man.
That cheese with that ground beef in there with nacho.
Yeah.
Hey, I, you know, I'm a little weird too.
I don't, I don't know.
I'm like that.
You know, as much as I love cooking in general.
Yeah, yeah.
I just not, I have a woman, I don't, you can't cook, you can't cook, I don't want you in no kitchen.
But if it's like, like we having something big and then people coming over or something like that,
now, now that is one of the only reasons I would allow someone to cook for me in general.
But it's me and I'm home and like coming home to a home cook meal. I don't like that. I don't like
whoever I'm dating or seeing. I don't like them behind no kitchen and no stove. Like it's weird.
I don't know why I'm like that. And I've always been like that. I've dated people in the past.
They're like, I can't wait to cook for you. I say, no, you don't. No, you don't. No, no, no,
no, you don't. I don't, I don't require that's not one of my prerequisites. I don't, I don't wait to cook for you. I say no you don't No, you don't no no no you don't that I don't I don't require that's not one of my free requisites
I don't I don't yeah, I mean, but hey you get somebody to cook, but they gotta love it. Yeah
Young lady oh, Joe she can get out of the shelf
Yeah
She could go to any restaurant and you could order something she could taste it. She said I can make this
mmm and you could order something, she could taste it. She said, I can make this.
You go to Mastro's, you go to Steak 48, you go to any high end restaurant.
She would eat it, she said, I can make this.
Right.
Go home in two or three days.
Yeah, she got it.
You come home, you thank you in Mastro's.
I'm like, she got it. She got it. You think you're in
I said, no, you can't cook like
this because my weight went from
like 238 to 250. Quick. Yeah.
Hey, that's I don't know. I I
don't I don't know what I don't
know what it is and I've always
been like that and and and
people if you understand if you ever seen me go to restaurants, you understand how I've been tipped in the past 30 years. Yeah, you understand
you understand why I much rather I much rather bless the service
industry. Yeah. I remember. Okay. Yeah. If I have if I have
an event, you know, yeah, bingo. I let my homeboy get on the
grill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But just just, yeah, yeah. But just cooking meat coming home,
and I'm coming home after that.
Like girl, if you don't sit down
and get up out of that kitchen,
if I wanted someone to cook for me,
I would have dated the chef.
That's it.
If that's what I wanted.
I'm not in, I ain't in that.
For one, you ain't running out of my water bill,
or my light bill, or my gas bill.
So sit down.
Let's start there.
I know what you can do.
I know what you can do in the kitchen.
I heard your stories,
but you ain't running my goddamn electricity.
He, he, he, he.
Check out Behind the Flow,
a podcast documentary series
following the launch of San Diego Football Club.
We go behind the scenes
and explore the stories of those involved.
San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer
because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team.
We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like, you're building a team from scratch
and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier and we watched
Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain, just watching the fans jumping up and down.
I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me. Not only was that going to be my game,
but it was going to be my life. Listen to San Diego FC Behind the Flow,

Lamar Jackson was asked if 2025 might be the year
to finally win the Super Bowl.
This is what he responded to, Ocho.
He said, to be honest, I really try not thinking that far
because every time we have those discussions,
we get to the playoffs, but we don't punch in.
We don't finish. I'm trying to finish camp the right way and then get ready for the bills.
I'm trying not to think about the Super Bowl yet.
I like that. And I hate when reporters ask those questions,
thinking so far ahead, one game at a time. every player should be thinking one game at a time
We already know at the end they only ask guys that have won the Super Bowl you think they were you think they asked
Did they ever ask Tom Brady about the Super Bowl? No, did they ask Patrick Mahone about Super Bowl?
No, they only asked the quarterbacks the great quarterbacks that haven't won it. Guess what Lamar Jackson win
They'll never ask him about 26. They won't ask about 27. If Joe Burrow, if Josh Allen, or I guarantee you,
they don't ask Jaylen Hurst about those Super Bowl in 25.
Right.
You gotta be done it.
Right, yeah.
You won't, you, Ocho, until you do it,
oh, he can do that, but until you show people you can do it.
They're gonna be on your head.
I don't think it's a good question to ask.
You know what it is.
We all in the training camp, we all have the same goal once we get to camp.
The end goal is to make it to the Super Bowl.
We already know why.
We know why we fell short.
Turnovers. We understand that.
We all watch the game.
I mean, a reporter, I know I understand reporters
have a job to do.
Let's talk about this season.
Let's talk about this season.
Let's talk about week one.
They go straight to the finish line.
We don't want to go straight to the finish line.
Let's talk about who we got week one
and who we're preparing for.
I mean, but Anthony to hear.
It's funny that, man, I ain't think about it now.
I ain't think about week one.
But see, it was different then, Ocho,
cause we was playing in the pre-season.
Right.
So it wasn't no think about no week one.
I'm just trying to get through training camp.
I'm trying to get through these pre-season games healthy.
And then when week one rolled around,
I worry about week one.
But I'm trying to stay healthy in training camp.
I ain't trying to get no blisters.
I ain't trying to get no dings. And I ain't trying to get no dings and I ain't trying to get dinged when I get when I in
preseason game.
Because like I said, Ocho, you know, you got 10 plays in the first game.
You got, you know, probably 15, 20 plays in the second game and you played into the third
quarter the third game, the fourth game you set out.
Wow.
Yep.
So I wouldn't, you know, now these guys,
cause Lamar, there's a good chance Lamar might not play.
If he plays, he'll probably play 10 plays
the entire preseason.
Yeah, if I'm not mistaken,
I thought I could be wrong.
I thought I saw some saying that Joe was gonna play
a little bit more in the preseason.
Well, he should, cause y'all start slow.
So something has to change, change something up for Joe. Well, he should, because y'all start slow. So something has to change.
Change something up, Ocho.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Just play a few more staffs to get more acclimated
to the game scene, as opposed to just going in there
week one and trying to play catch up.
Where I think every time a season starts,
the defense is always ahead of the curve
in front of offenses.
Because all they got to do- Well, defense is always going to be ahead of the curve, front of offenses. Cause all they got-
Wait defense is always gonna be ahead of the curve.
Just like when we got the training camp Ocho
because they're reacting.
Our stuff is timing.
It takes time to get timing.
Yeah.
Jalen Ramsey was asked outright if he would play safety.
He said he'd be willing to,
but also included an interesting detail.
I'm not getting paid what I'm getting paid
not to affect the game and be in certain spots.
I like that.
That's a bar.
That is a bar.
They not paying me this much money not to be able to affect the game.
And where can a player affect the game best at?
At the corner position.
Well, unless you Ed Reed.
Well, there ain't going to be no Ed position. Well, let
I ain't never seen a guy take the ball away like him. He was different
Hey to buy a true true student of the game he can tell you before we do it
CD lamb needed to get something off his chest today. Oh Joe Oh, I feel like it
I feel like the league knows what happens when I'm healthy and I have that for a whole season
But if you don't I will happily show you what's going to be like this year. Honestly, I'm healthy and I have that for a whole season. But if you don't, I will happily show you what's going to be like this year.
Honestly, I'm a dominant receiver.
I don't like to speak highly of myself,
but I can't wait to show you guys.
I like it.
CD and George Pickens debuted a new handshake.
Let's take a look at this, Ojo.
Let's go. They threw some up.
I don't know what they threw up.
Finally, we got something to look forward to.
If you're a Cowboys fan, you got something to look forward to.
Look it, listen, it's going to be exciting.
Offensively, it's going to be exciting.
It's going to be fireworks.
Goddamn, George picking his E.
All right, I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E.
I'm going to go with the E. I'm going to go with the E. I'm going to go with the E. I'm going to go with the E. I'm going to be exciting. Offensively, it's going to be exciting. It's going to be fireworks.
God damn George picking his E. All right, I almost said elite.
He's good.
Very good.
If he got his head on straight and he keep the man he keep.
I'm glad, Ocho, because we throw around that elite.
We throw around that elite.
I know.
I almost slipped up.
I almost slipped up.
Listen, if he keep the main thing, the main thing this season over there in Dallas, not
only is he going to have a great season along with Ceezy Lamb and Dak, he's going to have
a nice payday at the end of this season and it won't be over there.
It ain't got to be the Cowboys.
They don't need to be there.
They don't need to be there.
He can go somewhere else and be a number one and do what he needs to do.
He doesn't see anybody else get paid.
And he was supposed to be right in line next. So this is your year.
Well, kicking the can down the road
ain't gonna help that with Micah.
Cause how you gonna pay Micah?
Cause Micah, cause see here's the thing.
You signed Micah last year before this 35,
you might can get it for 35.
Yeah.
Now you have to go to 42, 43.
Yeah, it's unfortunate, man. It's unfortunate. for thirty-five. Yeah. Now, you the you ready to go with that? Yeah. You think the Cowboys are gonna have a disappointing season?
No, no.
I don't know what they're gonna do on defense.
I can tell you what they're gonna do on offense though.
As long as Dak stays upright and healthy,
I can tell you what they're gonna do on offense though.
I know what C.D. Lamon gonna do.
I know what George Pickens gonna do.
I know what's gonna happen.
I wish they would, I wish they would double CD and
Watching we got to understand George picking is something I can go from he can hit his head off the goalpost from anywhere on the field
I don't see any plants. I don't seem to take hitches. He can go think he can do it all man
You know
Hopefully he has his head on he's in a great situation
Hopefully he has his head on. He's in a great situation.
Quarterback that can get him to football.
Yeah.
They wanted him.
And so hopefully, you know, all the bad tastes
all the things that happened in Pittsburgh.
He left that there and he comes with a new slate in Dallas.

Deshaun Allen say, what's up, Uncle Ocho? I'm not running. Tell that
what's up? Um question who had
the best comeback jokes
between Fred Sanford, Estom,
the Martin or George Jefferson
and Weezy. The best. It gotta
be Eston. Fred Sanford and
definitely. Fred. Yeah. Fred Sanford. Hey, that's classic. Classic. Matter of fact, you know what I would go Fred,
Fred, Sanford and Esther.
That's classic.
As a matter of fact, can I tell
you something?
You know what I love about when
we do the show during the week
because we end around 12, 1230.
You know what comes on at 1
o'clock?
Sanford and Sons.
Sanford and Sons.
I would go Fred, Sanford and Esther, Martin and Pam and then Georgia Weezy.
Yeah, absolutely.
Erin Orr, it's good to see players with short careers getting to just do like Sterling and Tony Buscelli. Hopefully Eric Williams is next. Thank you. Um,
we're very, very excited. Um, my brother goes into the hall, what, a week
from Saturday. What is that? The first? That's the first. A week from Saturday, the first,
right? We're extremely excited. I'm excited. Hell, I ain't heard him speak in such a long time.
He ain't got before minutes.
He ain't got the kind of time that I had.
They said, get y'all ass up there, sit y'all ass down.
But it ain't before of them.
So, I mean, they probably let him go a little longer,
but I'm excited.
Pat Dobson, to save your life,
which jersey would you pick between
the Raiders and the Steelers?
The most sought after helmet,
the two most sought after helmets at the Pro Bowl,
Raiders and the Cowboys.
You had to like put a bid in like,
hey bro, if you make the Pro Bowl bro,
hey, can I get that helmet?
Because you got to realize who was going.
You got Troy the quarterback.
Okay, yeah, I love the trading hook quarter.
You got time, you got Mike Irving, you got Emmett.
Those are the skill positions.
And then you had Nate Newton, you had Big Easy,
you had Larry Allen.
Yeah.
And then for the Raiders, you had Tim Brown. I think one year you had Jerry Allen. Yeah. And
or third grade pitcher in a Steelers jersey.
Franco Harris. Never forget.
Because you remember Steelers jerseys to have those sleeves Ocho.
They can't do three quarter sleeves.
The sleeve come to your elbow.
Hot, hot ass jerseys.
Jalen Ivey said better season Ocho 06. Tory Holt 03. I don't even remember Jalen Ivey said
He went over 1500. Hey he went over 1,500.
Hey, man, you see that team,
you see that team he was able to play for?
Torre had 1,696, how many touchdowns?
Oh, was that the same year that, what you call them?
Yeah, 1,696, 1212 touchdowns and how
the question. Yeah. Do they you know what I mean? Cuz he put up a number with Bolger
too. You remember Mark Bolger
Ocho? He put up some numbers
with him. Yeah. And you guys
listen, Mark ain't got you.
Listen, Mark ain't had to do
much. It was Mark Bolger,
wasn't it? Yeah. All that.
Yeah. He had all all them boys
over there on offense, man.
Man, the boys run the eight.
Boy, they run that speed out. Damn
I really like uh uh uh uh uh
boy, they run that speed out
on you. Smooth as hell. Like
they fall enough to that 10
roll to twelve and fall off the
table. Uh JV said, what's your
reaction to Dante Jones video? I didn't. I'll take
I'm going to go to the
