we know Sophia so Sophia is literally I would say the queen of Instagram aesthetics so there is many an aesthetic page but when I think of aesthetic pages that I make me feel good and I like following I think of Sophia yeah there are certain aesthetic pages like what Sophia always says is stay in your own lane we'll get on to that we're going to talk about the bitchiness in the industry etc etc when I think of Sophia I think about I hate the word boss bitch and all that like it's shit but honestly though she literally knows what she's doing she stays in her own lane she is full blown she is a girl's girl a supporter she knows what she's doing you're not a doctor you're not a nurse you're very open about that a little bit further yeah and honestly girl and i

think also very very nip tuck in the sense of you don't give a fuck you are who you are you own that you can be professional and all the rest of it and you can also be you your instagram isn't polished when your own your own stories yeah you know your personality yeah it's real and i think within aesthetics and a lot of people i think it's glamorized yeah so what i mean by that is and that listen i am the first live and let live you do you but for me i think there's this false representation of these aesthetic practitioners living it up in dubsey every week dubsey fantastic to buy or you know they're living it up in their g-wagons yeah and i'm the first one to be like i fucking love that for you i will mess you like oh my god well done well you've got your dream car

that's amazing but in reality i feel that aesthetics one week you're shopping at aldi like oof you know to draw it in this week next week beijal arab five days let's go six just fantastic it goes up and down absolutely but that's the i think there's a false narrative like people coming into aesthetics that they think all these training providers now what they're doing is you know they're selling the dream aren't they 10 clients 10 grand yeah yeah yeah yeah they're selling the dream of what it could be honestly have made a brand you've made literally a brand for yourself so you're not only a practitioner you're a trainer as well yeah and i honestly think you're very accountable you are honestly like you can just tell like you give a

fuck yeah even though we say not giving a fuck you give up about the right so even like on even what you said there so i provide masterclasses yeah so for me the aesthetic industry where it's going at the minute the training horrendous my husband phil could go and train with his dick fingers tomorrow and be trained in a day for 500 pound let loose on people's faces injecting people with acid frightening medical non-medic i've had medics come on masterclasses with me and they said know i paid 500 quid went to harley street watch a doctor inject a dummy now he's trained how is that certificate how is that safe yeah so talk to us from the beginning how long have you been practicing how did you get into it so i was a makeup artist um before well before that i was

my slaggy susan days did you see a lot of swinging well apparently yeah they do something on the door pineapple yeah did you partake absolutely not for me sharing's not caring no no not for you not for me that's not my live and let live happy birthday all the rest of it but not for me not for you absolutely not your dick is your dick absolutely fine um but the cruise ship days that was fabulous they say come on board come and work for steiner you save all your money you don't I nearly went and worked for steiner it was fabulous but hard work you're massaging fat barry on a thursday outside new york you can't get off the ship it's just not

we had this conversation about beauty it's not all that sometimes yeah um long long long story short as a makeup artist and then i found out that oh my god it's non-medics we can go and train and i trained back in the day it was something like 12 000 pound you can get it you took a chance yeah 12 000 pound you weren't allowed to leave the academy till you injected like 40 sets of lips 40 cheeks 40 botox how long ago was that sophia nearly 10 years um and my training that i got was incredible and again like 12 grand it cost at the time can you imagine that now big investment yeah but that was back then and i think these training providers like i said it's not really their fault as such but they've got no choice but to water down their training

you can go and train in a day yeah terrifying 16 certificates including phlebotomy tear trough filler temple filler advanced botox under eye well under act i'm not a tear trough kind of girl no way none of us are not familiar troughs or not i think it's terrifying that anybody literally anybody could go and train so this is the reason why we've got sophia on long and short of it is she has got a massive business now in training her own shop what i call a shop she's got her own amazing medis bar she does training she's a personality as in she's got four kids a husband she's running her life it's real life so that's why we've got her on today and we're just gonna have a really loose incredible chat yes i'm looking forward to it i am while

we're touching on the medic non-medic yeah i'm quite interested i'm quite interested in that because i i don't know i don't know because i'm not in that field what is your kind of if you get somebody who's a doctor and who's saying you should you you should be a doctor or a medic to be carrying this out what is your reply to that kind of thing good for you no i'm really joking i think enjoy on look there's always there's always going to be this divide that's fine now i am genuinely in like internally like if you cannot appreciate all the hard work i do first of all so i'm a non-medic and i'm proud now do not confuse me with anybody that's gone and trained in a day fucking sofa surfing injecting people with unlicensed products for 50 quid this is the

problem isn't it good botox is not cheap and cheap botox is not good do not compare me to a non-medic who's going to trained in a day who is not ethical who doesn't care less who's in it for money do not compare me with somebody who uses unlicensed product who's not trained who's not insured who cannot wouldn't know an occlusion if it hit them around the face now i am a non-medic but i've invested tens of thousands of my pounds into getting the best training first aid you i do i've had doctors bring me their occlusions do you think it comes the problem is that it's all you're all under one umbrella yeah and that could be anything but when i was thinking about this today before you came on and i was thinking you could have a medic okay so they've done all the

training i'm i don't know the exact wording i'm not gonna pretend they've done everything they're a surgeon they're whatever but they've never injected botox in life but because they're a and they've done a little course yeah they could go and do it yeah but who's to say that they'd be any good at it with absolutely no practice either so that's the opposite end of the same numbers isn't it it's numbers and one thing you cannot train no matter what anybody and as we know with the industry now anybody can train in aesthetics one a couple of things that cannot be bought sold or trained is ethical behavior within treating clients saying no to clients when they don't need it another thing that cannot be trained is the aesthetic eye you either have the aesthetic eye

or you do not you can be medically trained but if you've not got the aesthetic eye you're not going to make patients happy but i've got the thing is i respect medic and non-medic in the same light like medics they work so hard in terms of like their nhs job or whatever they do and i give them so much respect that respect respect is not reciprocated because in my opinion aesthetics and another thing it's all down to the client if a client wants to go to a medic amazing because they feel safer, absolutely. If a client wants to pay 30 quid and go and have filler injected on a cat-ridden sofa at home

in somebody's house, that's on the client. Yeah, you know what you're getting yourself into. I wouldn't, in my right mind, go to sit in somebody's kitchen and get injected. No, like you've got a wait list, you do it in your clinic. Yeah, it's in the clinic, I'm licensed, I'm insured. And, you know, terrible, terrible things can happen. I've had terrible things happen to me.

I've dealt with occlusions, I help other practitioners with occlusions. tell us about that a little bit like what kind of things can happen yeah well I mean you've got occlusions that's where filler's injected into an artery and is that when it goes kind of black and that would be necrotic yeah so you've got a certain amount of time now I've seen uh well I've had basically um people on Instagram message me like oh Sophia my injector told me that this was okay they've told me it's just a bruise it's day three it's turning necrotic they've got postures so from there I mean that's what I say to my clients like we go through it with them like

this is what necrosis is this you have to do a cap refill when you leave so cap refill where you press yeah where you press see we educate our clients first aspiration but you can do all the aspirating in the world you can work ultrasound led which i am yeah you do ultrasound but even then you're injecting blind things happen no practitioner on the surface perfect tell you a little secret yeah i'm trained in aesthetic oh i think did i not know this i think i knew this you're not touching me literally again i couldn't do it i was literally like here's your certificate off you go ashley yeah even now i could honestly say like right lauren christina is it come on love yeah come on no absolutely not you've got to have the confidence

it's all in numbers you do like day in day out yeah and another thing like um just on this like i've had some practitioners medic non-medic they've gone on a course and they've not felt it was sufficient now i respect those practitioners so much that have then gone right okay this is absolutely not okay what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna further my knowledge so they go on extensive training they're constantly investing back into themselves and i think that is so important no practitioner on this earth is perfect another thing i really don't like is celebrity injector no babes every fucking single sally that walks into my clinic will leave being in like a celebrity i love that absolutely because we're not we're all the same because there's so many levels i once

went somebody um a bloke actually uh when i was about 22 and i asked for i'm saying no more and i went for cheek filler i was about 22 23 and he said darling before we touch your cheeks we need to sort your skin out okay and i will never forget that and i was 23 so my point in saying that story it is i don't think people quite realize how important your bedside manner is because people are coming in to see you and they're coming to see you about their insecurities so you need to kind of have a way of helping them informing them without upsetting them and that is that's a skill in itself absolutely and i can tell you've got that already yeah well i think there's a certain way you know women are coming in and another thing some of my clients like they save up for three

months to come and see me like i'll say oh it's only 170 quid or 200 quid if you look that's a a lot of fucking money and also it's not like you need it it's not like food water but you know what treatments make you feel good and how good do you feel when because i used to do skin and i still kind of do now but it makes me feel good when i get message like i got a message last night off a girl and it was like this is the first time i've been able to not wear makeup around my boyfriend after using your product and i was nearly in tears and how good does it make you feel when you know you lift the mirror up to them and they're like and they're buzzing yeah especially with noses yeah it's really popular at the minute so you tell us about the nose oh so

liquid rhinoplasty it's like a liquid lunchtime nose job your nose your nose is very nice it's that mine so well it's mine i've never had surgery villa i have been staring at sarah she's the best but your pixie tip left you know just a little casual point two in the tip it's yeah does it it makes such a difference what are your favorite treatments so okay we've done the bit about the serious bit now i think a lot of people listening let's get into it you want to know what's good what's not good i've got this problem i've got that problem first thing i want to touch on and i'm not saying you're right and i'm not saying we're right on this again opinion opinion tear trough fillers one of the biggest asked questions to us is why don't you recommend

under eye sorry guys tears trophies under eye filler people come to us and i would say tear through the most tear through tear through one of the main things that we get asked is under eye right hollowness wrinkles dryness all that it happens it's the hardest area are it yeah but then we say to them we don't really think you should have tear trough filler yeah why don't you think tear trough filler is great if you've got halloween if you've got halloween and lots of excessive skin right for me and there's a way of doing it kindly and politely sometimes it's something more serious it's surgery you can spend all this money on you know people come in and they grab under the neck i don't like this i'm like neither do i but that's liposuction like i can't

help you yeah and that's the good thing rather than making them spend thousands of pounds which but also i agree totally like i again i've said it before i used to do treatments and there is nothing more soul destroying than knowing that you see someone and you go yeah i can treat that when it comes to the three month review mark they're like i've still got it what are you gonna say yeah i think being brutally honest is better and you'd be better saying like invest in this so tear trough so tear trough filler basically there's not many fillers that a license to actually use under the eye right my personal opinion if i was to use any it would be restylane now restylane has light reflecting pigments in it now that's all well and good

however filler is hydrophilic which means it's it holds its own weight in water so when we're under the eye yeah especially in the morning hungover swollen hungover pregnant hormonal people have tear trough you find four months later they come back like i've got these blue slugs under my eyes and then you get the kylie jenner um what's called male bags yeah they get the malab split bags and they go heavier jennifer adams and adam recently or what happens is i got that off loomy eyes yeah see i see i love loomy eyes yeah but it's ha based and i've got a tiny face and it just attracted water yeah cross linked yeah so if we're saying no to the tear job what but it's not even a no i think if you're suitable so firstly first thing to do is find

somebody who specializes in it yes somebody who does it day in day out yeah just tear trough just tear trough yeah have you got a recommendation i think his name is dr uchu or uchi i think i don't know where he's based but i follow him and he used to do these master classes incredible i would recommend anyone's gonna do it well someone yeah but even then like my nurse sarah she can do it with her eyes closed she's incredible she's an incredible injector i would go to her for it she does them yeah for certain people but if she thinks for one second like for example like a client might be a red flag because what i mean by that is a lot of people who obsess over their under eye they have like a high expectation that filler is going well it's a thin area of skin

and it can cause something called a tindall effect where it looks blue blue yeah so if you to have it we always under inject but in my experience with it whenever i've done it my client's never 100 happy okay and that's a no and it's not worth it it's not i'm not messing around what would you do instead because the under eye is the biggest question ever yeah and not surgery is surgery obviously surgery and we always say that to people don't we always say look and not that i'm promoting that no we're not but at the same time if you're not going to get the result from non-surgical rather than doing it and wasting your money surgery is a better option like it or lump it do it or not yeah well i just had the under eye fat transfer and alternative so what

would you think what if you were living in ashley's world let's just go for a bit of surgery I do love polys under the eyes. Tell us about polys. So, polynucleotides, those are incredible. Everybody says it's salmon juice. It's salmon DNA. It's derived, actually, from trout. So, you can do all these things to your skin.

We can work on the muscle with Botox, static and dynamic wrinkles. You can have filler, which fills, restores, and plumps. And then you've got, like, your realms of the skin boosters and polynucleotides. So, and again, even saying that, I had one session of polys. I felt like the world was sold to me. And I did it, and I was like, no different. You need three. you need the full sessions and even then yeah even then though look at your diet like are you

drinking loads of water like because it's a real thing it's not just fake like drinking loads of water that's when people say that to me i think shut the fuck up yeah like have one glass a week but it is true i mean i just smoke fags and drink white wine it's a lot of it what you're saying a lot of it and i think ashley and i working in the surgical realm that we used to expectations is absolutely huge so being completely honest and just saying mate that's not gonna happen so much filler and botox but you know there's the realms of everything else sophia you have got your herstory event and i've got a couple of slag saves next year guys so tell us about that yeah tell us about the event how did it come about like what what made you think to do that well

the main reason me being open and honest there's all these fabulous conferences and i'm not invited because i'm a non-medic road road am i not on the list road you know if it's my name not down on just double check again rude rude aesthetics at the end aesthetics come on professional um i'm thinking the person who's speaking i trained him how to do a set of lips you're not allowed oh do you know what whatever it's not my problem it's theirs um so yeah so i wasn't ever allowed to these fabulous conferences so i thought fuck you all i'll fucking make my own i'll make my own honestly i saw the stuff from last year and it looks incredible that was your first year with slash it so it's called herstory yes and

what you can come if you're a non-medic a medic yeah medic non-medic none of that need apply as long as you're a nice person and you are supportive you can come you're invited and what happens so it's an aesthetics conference basically and um that last year was 300 people this year we're aiming for 500 so amazing business section at the front ceo vibes you will come it's an absolute vibe and then we've got the conference section so this year i know that you're obsessed with erica barry she's flying over from america injector bunny she's known on instagram she's the biggest hype woman ever and she's incredible her knowledge is yes like i have followed her for years and her memes like she's hyped yeah she's amazing so she's coming over um i'm gonna have

to sell a lung but it's fine she's worth it because she's incredible um she's coming over and she's doing like a full botox demonstration now if you were to go on her masterclass alone you know you have to fly out to america yes and then you're bringing it to the girls and the girls and kings yeah exactly um lgbtqia yeah put the a in that thank you biggest ally on the planet thank you my love i love the gays and the lesbians don't get me started i think they love us don't they do absolutely i mean i've got a fucking leg sleeve with drag queens on um so going off subject back to it so the conference part of the is the first part of the day also sit down meal um networking absolutely fantastic yeah that'd be st john's ambulance

it's an umbrella of everything you need so it's not just being there looking hot and having a drink it's networking it's business stuff it's literally like my watching the best in the industry from across the globe you have smashed it and got it all into one place and everybody is so there was some girls mission i really want to come but don't go i created a whatsapp group 50 of the guys yeah exactly by themselves we've got like patreon girls that are now friends for like yeah yeah bridesmaids at the wedding yeah and that's in may isn't it yeah so you got that in the day and then you two are hosting it next we are excited if lauren doesn't pop before get the ambulance outside in case what you like at c-sections i know you're non-medic i'm good with

i couldn't sleep like i think if you don't have a massive responsibility yeah yeah so um i wish there was a way that we could leave clients reviews come on yeah well i just wish you know because 99.9 of my clients are and i mean this i go into work i can be having the shittest day of the most stressful day on no sleep my clients make me feel good yeah like i cancel for them they cancel for me i used to do facials and that's what i mean every day it was just girl chat we've always worked with the girls we love it yeah love it but then you get the yeah you could do with like a trust pilot for clients where you can be like do not take this client on absolutely fucking awesome i get clients telling me if they're having an affair with the

gardener yeah everything love it you find all sorts have you had any that have been just a downright nightmare can you even say or is that the problem we've got here is we're asking her something but actually she can't really i wouldn't either for example when we worked at maya we had a couple of chargebacks on boob jobs do you remember yeah so we sold a few boob jobs and then we got pulled in the office and they were like right there's a pattern appearing now these girls have come in for breast surgery and they've left the hospital bed straight after they've had it done and not come for the stitches back they've done a charge back oh yeah no like why your stuff like that yeah i mean no like and once you've done it yeah how do you take it back my

client's words are golden like do you know what i mean and like i said to be honest i don't really have any nightmare have you ever heard anyone walk out and not pay but i just need to go get some cash i'll be one second no touch that's really lucky because i've heard that a lot yeah um or they'll come in and snatch phones off the desk my fucking clean it's like fort knox oh is it yeah you have to yeah yeah yeah and how do you cope little change there but how do you you've got four children i've got four babies how old is one of them zonies 11 weeks eight six four and 11 weeks and i've got a stepdaughter she's got two children so i'm glammy wait i'm a granny six four eleven weeks and my stepdaughter and she's got two babies i knew you were a shagger

how how how do you balance it and how do you manage mum guilt is what i'm interested in because i get horrific mum guilt and i don't do a fraction of what hours you will do i know i don't yeah i mean so let me finish the sentence but i find four easy if you can if you can go from zero kids to one agree actually the biggest life change ever in the world so if you can go from no kids no responsibility do you want the fuck you want lying in bed till two in the morning watching kyle you can do what you're masturbating okay lauren do you know what that is i didn't give him that name that was from rugby I thought you were going to say someone else

got a nanny if you don't have a nanny fuck off i'm gonna do what's right for me not bothered my children are loved beyond this is the thing with me like i get slagged off all the time for having a nanny but at the same time like tonight we're going out for tea after we've recorded i want consistency my husband's way a lot i'm out like at the drop of a hat blah blah i want their bat you know with kids bath time bedtime yeah needs to be in the back so that's why i have the consistency of a person there that can help yeah and be the second hand to that and i get it and you know i respect you for that who the fuck am i to fucking judge judy you that's your life that's your children your children know they are loved they're taken care of you know what i mean

let's get into it for me there are certain non-negotiables yeah i work my ass off for every single thing but one thing is a non-negotiable i'm there for every school drop off in the morning i'm there for every bedtime bath time story time good night i'm there i you know self-employed i'm there for every birthday i do not work weekends that's and that's your choice and that's how you did you have to get to that point or have you just always had that no i mean i've had to sacrifice to get where i am i would have stitches in my vagina from giving birth and i'd be back doing a client three days later to get her to give yourself the weekend off right yeah i get that yeah so i've sacrificed so i hate taking unsolicited advice off people or people who sit there and at the end of

the day i am there for my children i know i'm an amazing lovely mum you are and some days i work two days a week sometimes i work five yeah and that's okay but mum guilt will never go away no never i feel guilty when i'm in work i feel guilty if i'm not working i could have been in work staying in money because it's their birthdays and then i could have bought them what you can't win can you no it's a constant i feel really guilty at the minute because i'm having another baby and i'll look at the air at night and think well i'm so sorry well i love this i'm so sorry i've let you down it's just been me and you and i just think whatever you do that shit will be out this bed soon only got her for five more minutes so the last question i wanted to ask you two
