Starting point is 00:00:56 for more information or if you've got us on instagram check us out on there send us your sex stories what's getting on your tits your beauty questions your ics and basically we don't give a fuck we really don't right we are back in surgery now we're our guest today is danielle and danielle is one of the owners of doll beauty why are you here and not sam let's go straight in there oh i'm the gobby one i'm the slutty susan of the house i can vouch for that because i've met both of them a few times so i've known dan and sam for like four years now for a while and this is the first time you two have met in person yeah so we're insta huns yeah aren't we we're insta friends yeah but i've actually used doll beauty which is um dan and sam's brand for i
Starting point is 00:01:53 would say about six years does that sound about right the first i know how cute is that the first product that i ever had from doll was that highlighter duo was that like your first product that got you that was the viral product that was what everybody was using yes and i remember i sent i put it on instagram years ago and i sent it all my friends said you have to buy this highlighter yeah and it was like a bronzy highlighter and a pale one and you've it's still in the collection i use it all the time and it lasts you like a year i've got the what's it called i've got the one that's the lighter one and it's round yeah but it came as a two on my eyelids today oh it's the best yeah um so that's when i discovered doll and then i just like fell in love
Starting point is 00:02:41 with it every product that i bought i was obsessed with yeah and then on an off chance i met dan and and i was like oh my god i'm obsessed with your brand fango um and it's it's gone from there and you were a model for us darling i was a model oh my god for that she was the valentine's campaign they believed in me oh my god i remember now yeah see i am as always and later to the party yeah um i get told what to use and then try it and i remember actually when you first posted it and i'll be honest i've not really heard of it and i was a bit like doll beauty yeah what is this but i thought well she likes it must be good then i remember you doing the photo shoot and then we've gone from there and your favorite product is the lip liner yeah so i'm a more
Starting point is 00:03:26 although they have all different shades i like a heavy lip don't i like a brown lip a dark lip um like a i like matt i'm not into really a gloss other than a bit of karma because it's not on it i'm not a glossy it's not for me um so their lines whenever i post them everyone's like what lip combo have you got literally always so for me that's my like and it's so much more affordable mate do you know how much i lose my fucking lip liners like i lose them everywhere i go and then i find them in pockets so pigment is amazing expensive some of them are ridiculous and they're not as good either and you've done honestly you have done so so well listen we're not just blowing smoke up your ass no if we didn't think that we just wouldn't have you here we pick
Starting point is 00:04:10 who comes on so we just wouldn't have someone shit I can't believe in me it's my favourite podcast ever she has to say something nice back
Starting point is 00:04:18 ever ever ever you know I'm always I've been from the beginning yeah you have do you know the other thing that I like about Dan and one of the reasons that we wanted you here
Starting point is 00:04:26 you and Sam they are girls girls and it's not just a fake girls girl like genuinely whenever we do anything you're there to support
Starting point is 00:04:34 straight away like we've never even met in person but like we'll share everything we'll comment and we do the same back and it's just it's that nice
Starting point is 00:04:40 genuine 100% helping other women which is what we spoke about on last week's show that some women aren't like that no
Starting point is 00:04:47 but you are but you are so that's why you're here so tell us from the start like what happened what's your background where did you go to college
Starting point is 00:04:55 like tell us I didn't go to college because I don't think any makeup artist these days has been to college have they does anyone go to college
Starting point is 00:05:02 anymore I think they still do or like a makeup academy but I didn't I just fell into it like by chance so
Starting point is 00:05:08 I'd got sacked off the cruise ship so that was number one what did you do lovely I was drunk at work shut up I'd been on
Starting point is 00:05:16 I'd been to Mexico what did you do I was on the tequila and then I got back to work six o'clock drunk at work me and my friend
Starting point is 00:05:24 got breathalyzed off you go I love it this is the and at the time you can imagine oh my god this was what I wanted to do
Starting point is 00:05:32 I wanted to travel the world like and you got pissed and I got pissed story of my life yeah okay okay
Starting point is 00:05:37 let myself down you know had to get escorted onto the plane by security because I was on an American visa so you have to make sure
Starting point is 00:05:45 you leave the country honest to god I was it was traumatic at least you were with a friend I like you even more now she wasn't on the same she'd gone back to Scotland
Starting point is 00:05:53 so we were split so we split up so anyway we got back I thought it Peru too don't don't that's what they must have been thinking
Starting point is 00:06:01 when I was there you only had a bit of tequila fuck's sake I know but everything happens for a reason so I'd I'd left my fella and I'd gone on the cruise ships
Starting point is 00:06:08 to leave him and I'd come back to live with my nan and grandad and then I got a job. We've all been there. To move back in. Got a job at Harvey Nichols. I live in Chester.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Harvey Nichols is Manchester. But it was the only job that I could find at the time. But like I said, everything happens for a reason because that's where Sam was. So I was like counter manager of Steeler.
Starting point is 00:06:28 You were aware of it? Remember Steeler? Yes! Oh my God, that mascara was amazing. And I bet you wore banana lip gloss and space and cake.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yes, I love. So I got a job on Steeler. Sam was there and then I was doing makeup for Steeler and then makeup at home so I used to just like drive to people's houses do makeup whatever and it was at the time when there was no what nobody was doing makeup no people didn't want to spend money on it it was just it wasn't a thing yeah looking back at my makeup pictures I can't believe they paid me for it I know you don't like a lot you'd definitely wipe me off I'm telling you now so um so yeah so I'd met Sam and then eventually like i just talked sam into starting a lash brand because i didn't really want to buy
Starting point is 00:07:08 lashes they were like 25 quid at the time and what was it shuamera used to sell the lashes and they were like 25 quid yeah they were amazing though and you'd pay for the lashes and get them put on in the shop yeah this was it i forgot all that so it was an amazing vibe in harvey nichols by the way the girls were all like us and it was the same everyone was girls girls and we had the best time ever and then so means I stayed really working for Steeler right till I could stop yeah I was still at doll and I still work for Steeler um and then that was it really me and Sam just set up the brand we didn't think oh my god we want to be the next Huda Beauty or yeah we just literally it was just a little side earner yeah because I'm like Del Boy
Starting point is 00:07:49 that was it and then eventually I left my job and then went like that and what was the moment when like you thought oh my god this is going to be our business like did a celebrity post there was quite a few Jodie Marsh oh she liked our lashes oh but you know like I'm a massive Katie Price fan yeah oh my god yeah we are yeah I really I love her and then that for me when she wore our makeup I was like right this is it I've made it I think that's where I heard about doll from actually from katie price yeah so um that was that and then just really at the time when we first set our website up we didn't 700 quid we made at the time on the first night and that was 70 lashes and really when instagram wasn't that big so how did you celebrate and we had the
Starting point is 00:08:42 no way out like bloody hell how did you do it then if instagram wasn't that big how did you how does somebody someone out there wanting to start something think i think i want to do eyelashes what how what do you do the makeup clients isn't it and then chester is a community as well where they support them yeah it's like liverpool they're so exactly do you know who's so supportive as well um sophia bailey oh she's my best friend she is she used to work on a cruise ship sophia was in we were in the same shop so i had a little do you know melissa that she does my nails she's got dark hair you will know because she knows sophia maybe you got sacked before that Me and Soph had the same shop.
Starting point is 00:09:23 She was in our shop doing the lip filler. She is a girl's girl. Really nice. She's amazing. I love her. She actually told me to tell you about a duping white company. Oh. The Espar one.
Starting point is 00:09:33 She said to say. I'd seen her in Zara the other day. She's lovely. I love Soph. So you think I'm going to make lashes. You make them. And then were you just selling them to your makeup? I don't get how all of a sudden people knew about it.
Starting point is 00:09:44 It's literally Chester. So obviously we were putting doll lashes on our Chester people. They were all sharing it, talking about it. Right, okay. and then it just went from there right literally word of mouth word of mouth then Instagram
Starting point is 00:09:53 so that we were like one of the first first lash brands ever so it was like you couldn't buy lashes apart from like Chelsea lashes or Shu Uemura or
Starting point is 00:10:00 and they were like mink really expensive £30 so it just not many styles not many styles but don't forget we had our Harvey Nichols girls
Starting point is 00:10:08 as well and they're telling everyone then we've got the Chester and it just that was that was just it I'm just as shocked as anyone else
Starting point is 00:10:15 to be honest I've got imposter syndrome I'm like amazing we're asking I don't know I just, I don't know, really. I just got here and here we are. It's just, it just went from there.
Starting point is 00:10:25 And then it was like people like Mitchell were all starting out. Oh, we love him. He is, he's amazing. He's an amazing guy. He deserves everything that he's got. He's supported brands from the beginning. Isn't it weird how like, that's what I'm saying, like a small group of people,
Starting point is 00:10:39 especially in Manchester, actually, like have all done so fucking well. I think he's from Bolton. It's all the same area. Yeah. And do you know what that shows you? like mitchell page louise ariana atjar that does mars you girls are doing doll like and you know what's wild isn't it you can see that just by some nice people yeah helping each other being genuine
Starting point is 00:11:05 everyone can blow up there is space for everyone yeah and you can all help each other it doesn't need to be like there's no competition you're not having one everyone helps everyone fucking wins And this is what people, and especially females, I feel like are missing a little bit. You don't have to hate. Like, if you support each other, you'll do even better. A hundred percent. So when was that? Like 10 years ago you started?
Starting point is 00:11:25 No, 2016. So it's seven years ago. So that blew up quick then. Yeah, it was, yeah, really. Because that was six years ago that I bought the highlighter. So when did you move from lashes to actual makeup? And how do you make that move? How do you, tell me how you pick stuff and make stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:43 so a secret that nobody talks about is there's a show yeah this is a secret so there's a show called Cosmoprof right and it's like based all over the all over the world and they have like manufacturers from all over the world in one space so it's like a trade show did you go recently yeah sorry but we used to just we used to go to every single one of them just to waste money we used to go Vegas Dubai you know just to why not just for a trip I'm like oh let's go Cosmoprof put it on the business yeah put it on the business yeah
Starting point is 00:12:10 so Cosmoprof is where all your manufacturers are so you have Italy you've got Turkey you've got China you've got everybody in one space
Starting point is 00:12:18 and that's where you find all your makeup suppliers and things like that people are gonna they'll be like you give us oh for fuck's sake Sam's gonna be like
Starting point is 00:12:25 you just shut up why do I have to tell everyone but I just think it's no big deal there's no competition there's no competition yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:12:32 you know you don't need to worry so you went and tested out the products and you're like we love this let's brand it yeah well we no we manage we we make our own so we make the mold for things right um if we want something that we just explain what we want the colors and different things like that and then we make the
Starting point is 00:12:47 mold and the packaging of the mold like this yeah you can white label it which is what you've just said you just put your yeah your logo on it or you actually your colors are always so like i feel like you've got a color palette doll it's well it's ours it's yeah which isn't It's what we like. What we were doing originally is building our makeup bag, yeah. And then you try it. Do you ever try something and think,
Starting point is 00:13:11 it's not right, that needs to go back and change it? Yeah, a lot. And do you try it on yourself and then throughout the day think, this is not staying well enough? It's not good, yeah. We didn't used to, but we now do market research
Starting point is 00:13:21 so we get a load of people, like different skin tones. Perfect. And we'll get everybody together or we'll send it to all our influencers, get them to give us a little bit of feedback. So we bring the family, we bring the doll family
Starting point is 00:13:33 and get them involved why did you because one of my favorite products stamp was the tan the tan mousse this tan mousse is the bane of my life it was honestly one of do you not remember i used it for years it came in a little pink like can yes and i yes love it because it what i loved about that tan was i could put it on and it'd give me an instant tan but and a guide but it would develop No smell. No smell. Literally, a nice sweet smell. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Why did you get rid of my tan? That's beautiful. This game fucking beats me. It started another, so basically another brand came for us to sue us for the name of Doll Beauty. Luckily, if I had just started this brand on my own without Sam,
Starting point is 00:14:19 we're two different people. She's like you, I'd say, and I'm like you. She is by the book, so she's gone through everything. That was like me copywriting stuff. I've done it all she had no clue
Starting point is 00:14:31 when we started she was like alright we need I was like I'm shocked this is what I was like I was like Sam whatever
Starting point is 00:14:35 that's what I'm like whatever you do that and I'll do my thing so luckily she had us like bam bam bam she'd got every name
Starting point is 00:14:45 like but she didn't do Dol Tan oh no now this brand sounds like Dol Tan can you
Starting point is 00:14:53 can you shmeesh I can't say it I can't shmeesh I've got a story about him anyway we're going off
Starting point is 00:15:00 sounds like sounds like Gold Tamer Schmaltzman yeah yeah so basically they've come at us you know
Starting point is 00:15:06 I know what it is I know yeah no everybody says that it's not it's um so
Starting point is 00:15:14 she's massive in America apparently and she's just come after us whatever so we've we've had to change the name but then when we've gone back to the manufacturer
Starting point is 00:15:23 from before the price of the tin can has gone massive stupid stupid like ridiculous we wouldn't even be able to like wouldn't be worth and you want to make it available to all your girlies and you've got to do when you when you're looking at a price as well you're not just selling it off your website 100 profit or whatever you've got to think of all your retailers somewhere else percentage they take a lot yeah all they all do
Starting point is 00:15:46 really it's worthwhile being there but they all do take a big percentage so you have to take that into account so anyway we've changed manufacturer we've had that much trouble with it i'm thinking Do I even want it to be here? You don't want to do this anymore. It's been about two years now, hasn't it? It's two years, yeah. That I've missed out on my tan. Actually, this is not about you.
Starting point is 00:16:04 So, right, so the tan is back and it's better. The tan is back. The tan is, it's being made in the UK, but the packaging in the UK isn't as good as what it is overseas. Right. So we've had to source that from overseas and then bring it here. Wow, this is much more complicated. It's a lot, honestly, it is a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:16 And Ashley just wants a fucking tan. Yeah. So do I. I'm so excited to use your tan. I don't want to go through this. Yeah, but you're going to love it. What kind of tan is it then? Can you tell us?
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah, it's in your box. It's in your box, isn't it? Yeah, but... It's dark. It's not out, though. It's not out. It's not out, out, is it? Not out, out.
Starting point is 00:16:32 No, but we can have it. You're going to be the first. Oh, my God. Yes. So exciting. So, yeah, it's two colours, medium, dark, for now. We are going to expand on the range, but I just thought, just let's get this out first.
Starting point is 00:16:44 It smells gorgeous. It smells like holidays. We have changed the scent a little bit, and we had to take out caviar, so we are a vegan brand. Right. That's the only ingredient we've talked about. Stunning. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:16:55 So you spoke, Dan, about the tan incident. And obviously that must have been like, I feel like if me and Lauren got a legal letter, we've been very close, but we've never actually had one. Was there any points where you were like, oh, this is a headache. Let me just get my wage from Harvey Nichols. Yeah, I don't want to do this anymore.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I don't want to do this anymore. Or do you just power on through? Power on. It's just, the thing is the benefits to like owning your own brand is a lot more than a few stresses. and I think these you learn so much as well and you bring so much
Starting point is 00:17:27 from all these each time each time and I would never I'd never say I'm giving it up it's like it's your baby
Starting point is 00:17:32 it's my baby yeah it's mine and Sam's we're obsessed with Dawn we love it you love it and you just love the whole thing
Starting point is 00:17:37 don't you I mean I think you do learn like we certainly since starting the podcast have had certain things that have happened to us and at the time
Starting point is 00:17:43 it's really bad but we've learnt from every single time and that won't happen again yeah it's a learning you learn the whole thing
Starting point is 00:17:49 yeah and you've done absolutely amazing like the pros i guess what are the pros of having your own business we we have all our friends and family working with us as well so that's i know i've been there before and the vibe in the warehouse is amazing unreal like and the salon you've not been to the salon no we keep saying it's me it's me they're all they're all our people so that's for me when i go to work or if i work from six in the morning doing a live then i have to go and do something else so late you can trust them all
Starting point is 00:18:18 as well 100 people say don't employ people you know because it's awkward i disagree because they work so much harder for you because they love you so much and like and honestly i think you can only say don't employ people that you you know if you're not going to employ them and treat them well if you're treating them fairly and well and they're treating you fairly and well then then why not so you work with like your friends and family but you also you do work how much you work with influencers massively that is there you don't that's yeah instagram is that isn't it so there's a lot of makeup brands like you've got like your l'oreal and stuff like that that will spend shit loads on say a naomi campbell to do a one-off campaign that's airbrushed the shit out of sorry
Starting point is 00:19:02 l'oreal no shade but do you see what i'm saying whereas i feel like you girls you were one of the first brands to actually send me products yeah literally and i was like had like a few thousand followers yeah but come on so grateful i used to ask her what do you recommend like anything she puts on i buy i'm skin i try everything yeah she does you do loads of influencer marketing and you were one of the first brands getting on the tiktok hype yeah as well we were we weren't one of the first we came in a little bit later so we've come in a little bit like we are catching up i'm not gonna lie it is but we've got it now yeah tiktok saved our life like massively and mitchell said that as well saved all of us but it saved us particularly because it's very creative space
Starting point is 00:19:49 isn't it amazing the fact that you've got the shop bc yeah you can sell it sell your product i've watched yours and you you are made to sell yeah i love being on there and you're very funny Karen I love you babes we were like oh my god we were carnage when we did that one for Karen how tiring was doing it we were carnage
Starting point is 00:20:11 we were doing impressions in the middle of it all of wearing lineker and putting caps we just lost it I bet their views that day it was so much fun now Dan we love a bit of tea we fucking love a bit of tea so I
Starting point is 00:20:27 work with a few brands and I always get close to them because you know what we're like gobshites having a natter down the phone not about work and always the first question first question nightmare influencers
Starting point is 00:20:44 you have to say the name we can't just any stories of like where they've done something because I can guarantee every brand I've worked with has got an influencer oh my god it's me she's gonna be I'll be I'll be honest right I I always see the good in everyone so if someone's
Starting point is 00:21:04 a diva I'll make a joke out of it I'm not asked honestly that's the way I am I force the niceness out of everybody no one can be bad around me so 90 no I'd say 100% of the time I get on with everyone and do mates with them we don't really have a nightmare one particular diva did though this is quite funny this wasn't me my best my best mate Steph who works in the salon who's She is the salon manager. Blonde Steph. Yeah. Really lovely girl.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Bubbly, gorgeous. She was on the Tyson Fury programme. We send her everywhere. Yes. Because she is a personality you've never met anyone like her. I know, she's lovely. She's insane.
Starting point is 00:21:38 So we sent her, she was eight months pregnant at the time. So this is quite recent. Yeah. No, so this is his first child. Ah, okay. There was an event and there was a high-end TOWIE star.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Okay. I feel, because I love her anyway, but she... I know who it was. Yeah, you'll know who it is. and she went to do this person's makeup but she ended up with her the whole day being a PA you know straight away yeah but but like just doing everything for yeah and then you should
Starting point is 00:22:11 i bet she's going come here with me babes and just give me a hand with this but you know what no shade again because she's just looking fabulous and who doesn't want to hang about with her for the whole day exactly I will but Steph was like oh Dan should I make mumps pregnant
Starting point is 00:22:24 go on I was like just stay just stay you know but she's again no shade and I'd love to be able
Starting point is 00:22:32 to sit here and say they're all you know but I don't ever I think there's there's so like we get on well with influencers
Starting point is 00:22:38 yeah we've got a good relationship I think yeah and I guess you wouldn't you kind of get to know somebody through their Instagram and you probably
Starting point is 00:22:44 wouldn't want to work with someone that you thought was a twat anyway so if you thought you're a twat you're not going to send them yeah i think that it's like especially smaller brands and you've probably got this advice to give to girls um whether it's clothing whether it's makeup hair products anything about being selective because at first you are just going to do gifting and it's
Starting point is 00:23:04 going to be a i'll send it you out and if you don't use it you don't use it if you do you do but this is where lauren and i and it really pisses me off i get messages every day of small female owned businesses and they say can i send you i bought out for example recently a makeup brush cleaner i didn't respond because i'm not gonna use it and post about it and stuff like that and that's what pisses me off is that these brands then they get upset you know i sent them x amount of product and they didn't post about it see we've always this is the i've always said this like we've had pr companies in the past like you need to chase these people you need to message if i send a box i do not chase that no you don't like if they don't want to post it they won't like
Starting point is 00:23:48 i'm not going to be that person i don't want to be that brand that's known for like chasing someone and pushing oh my god we've had that and we will never do exactly i won't do it but you know you were talking about the katherine tildesley yes do you know what i thought that was really bad of that that company we did we could not saying it's bad maybe she felt like i don't know maybe she felt like i shouldn't have to give you that for free but calling around if somebody promotes us for free like that that is that that is gold for us as a brand i got a lot of shit on that yeah we did we both did i got more i said more but we both got shit on that particular video and we don't normally people saying don't agree with you here girls which is fine no we don't have to but
Starting point is 00:24:27 that one i we actually got a lot of shit for that people saying they didn't agree with our opinion that people shouldn't get free stuff but I still stand by what I said then which is I don't think it was that bad and you're a brand you're coming from the brand's perspective I would have made that cake in an hour I swear I'd have had Steph because she obviously the face of the brand I'd have had her warming them all up I'd have had dancers with the cake because for me it's just any opportunity if someone wants to come to the salon for a full free day I give it up I'm like wow what we're going to get from this is amazing and this is who's like the most famous I think she actually got a good idea
Starting point is 00:25:01 have you had a Kardashian you've had a Kardashian I've done a little mix I've done Perry's makeup once oh wow she's probably the most famous is she nice she's lovely

Starting point is 00:27:00 literally just talk about them all day so i am in my element now okay you're gonna have to pick three of your favorite doll beauty products doll beauty products right okay contour wand medium deep i've got it and i've not used it yet can i it's in the stick isn't it it's the stick can i ask you how right this is why i don't use them how do you use a contour stick what kind of brush you paint it on and then with a stubby brush is it we i've got you the blending brush i've got you the best oh it's all in the box i am gonna be snatched dot it dot it just don't think too much into contour because i just literally i'll just dot dot dot around the face and use it as a bronzer so you dot in the area yeah underneath your cheekbones
Starting point is 00:27:44 yeah and then and then just all around i do all around the top of my head yeah and i do my jaw line okay and then you if you want to extra blend it in you can use a cream bronzer to blend in okay right that's like a lighter formula right okay i'm excited number two oh product yeah okay we've lost right you've lost me you've lost me i'm just too excited about the blend i was like number two she's forgotten what we were talking about i have got to choose dolled out lipstick yes love favorite light pink nude pink like the nicest color that goes with the lipsticks are stunning i so i'll be honest because obviously we are i don't wear what i do is i put the liner on and then blend it so i don't use lipstick in the middle but just a little bit
Starting point is 00:28:26 when you're out to refresh as well i'm really i'm just sure i'm getting all in the box i am gonna look like a million fucking dollars number three dan the new individual lash which is like doing it so i did do that trick you know when you put powder there is it so the individual lash is like having your russian lashes done but you do them yourself they're so good they're the cluster lashes so you know what they're good for so i have the semi-permanent you know when you need a top up and you start to get gaps because i've got gaps at the minute oh okay that's my new favorite look at our faces you've got them on now yeah this morning they look in five minutes this is so exciting it's so easy you just put the mascara on put the cluster right i'm gonna name
Starting point is 00:29:05 my three favorite doll beauty products now first one is the brushes the brushes are fucking on and they look gorgeous they come in and i get the brush set yeah and i buy it probably every eight months i get a new one and because you can they're there you don't need to i don't think i've had mine i've had mine ages to be fair actually um and i just think the brushes are and you love the solid start one don't you i know i have got um all my brushes are done love i got some mitchell ones which i liked but my doll i love then number two is i'm gonna say the time i'm not trying it but if it's the same as that old time same formula just no you fell off for two years no fish no fish we've got a lot of climbing to do i know right i hope we get there okay i'll be trying that as
Starting point is 00:29:53 soon as i get home and number three my highlighter duo okay i'm gonna say another one the bronzer is amazing because it's got no glitter in it it's really my right your turn what's the one oh my god i don't know the names it right because i don't wear loads of makeup your turn right okay so number one lip liners i love all of them sorry pick me girl i don't know no i just don't i'm just not good at it period i'm just not good at it um right the i think it's called is it called run the world or is that the yeah yeah i put that in your box i knew you liked it and you you go girls well those two yeah thank you you helped me because i don't know the names they're just in my bag and everything in my bag is pretty much gone now um and then also the the the cream
Starting point is 00:30:30 blusher bronzer brown it's stunning yeah give me give me his hand no give me give me son yeah i've got that on today the cream and the highlighter in a big round um silver color shine bright that's the one that i like a diamond yeah that one you need to get the duo and the brushes the brush i use there's one i can't and it's like this and it's white and a little bit no it's fluffy and I put my give me sun on, on my eyes they'll love it on the eyes they give me sun on the eyes
Starting point is 00:31:01 I wear it on my eyes every day bronzer on the eyes always right Dan you fucking love a bargain you're like me she's honestly like business woman like you said before you are del boy vibes
Starting point is 00:31:18 you love a bargain so top bargains and tips right so I always since going to Turkey I haggle everyone right I do
Starting point is 00:31:29 I negotiate well not at Aldi well wherever I want to be for instance me and Sam were travelling and there was a lounge and Sam wants to go
Starting point is 00:31:38 in the lounge I like to be with the people Sam likes to be in the lounge you like to be with the normal the riff raff so anyway we get to the reception the woman says
Starting point is 00:31:44 it's 50 euro and I said can I give you 25 please and she said yes you can what I love that just try it
Starting point is 00:31:51 with my suppliers from overseas if they give me a price I say please could you do it for this price instead and most of the time they do it can you get if I was the one no it's 50 I swear to god Sam Allen could not believe it she was like is this a joke the woman let us in for 25 euro each there you go haggle down negotiate no matter what you do even the boat for my 40th darling I've done it have you really right okay we must haggle more yeah we must
Starting point is 00:32:23 I've got your bag of dupes she's brought us a bag of dupes let's do the dupes now I'm sorry that the bag isn't in there it's my loss
Starting point is 00:32:30 Dan has brought us a bag of dupes he's brought us a bag of dupes everyone on Patreon oh my god she's brought us a little bag
Starting point is 00:32:42 thank you so oh my god I've checked and I don't think you've got most of them can you see it's got iron oh my god
Starting point is 00:32:48 just so this is oh god I couldn't go further Right, should we start with that one? I didn't bring you Red Temptation because you said it was a slag's perfume, which is a copy of Mason Francis.
Starting point is 00:32:58 So I got you instead. Sorry, slag. It was me that said that. I used to wear that. I stopped wearing it. No, I wear it still, the slaggy perfume. Right, this one is Zerjoff. I just twatted myself.
Starting point is 00:33:09 You know the Zerjoff Ascento, the purple bottle. So this is the Amber from Zara. Oh my God, that's absolutely stunning. so this is a zara perfume amber fusion yeah so 11.99 instead of 270 i've heard about this tatcher yes yeah the rice what's it called the tatcher skin cream yeah it's dewy but it's the yes the dewy it's the purple one talk us through this one little pamper so apparently ingredient for ingredient it's the same and this is what tiktok so expensive but i love it but this is fabulous right so this is the bliss i'm holding it up for explosion super rich moisturizer and
Starting point is 00:33:57 that is a dupe of the touch i need a moisturizer i'm buzzing over oh my god i know what this is for yeah creme de la mer yeah how about exactly the same you are the best do you know who bought this so the creme de la mer um original cream is like 160 quid for the smallest i do love it when your skin's in need yeah this is the exact same so it's euthymol avine so you can get it from boots and it's called sickle sickle fate is it sysyl fate sickle fit sickle cell anyway there you go um and yes it is meant to be the best and i recommended it to poppy bayliss and she used it and she said it's the same i'm excited to try that so it helps to replenish the skin's moisture barrier we talk about moisture barrier a lot it's very important what's this one i know you're not a
Starting point is 00:34:45 fan of um primark skincare you did no no we just said i know i know but please try because i have been using it and i use it usually use a bargy vitamin c i'm obsessed with it 120 it's expensive i can't use this anymore so that's a 10 vitamin c it is a little bit less than the percentage i I think the Abagge is 13. Yeah, but it's not much. It's a nice one. £7. I'm holding it up for anyone that's watching on TV.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Prime Arnie. Oh, my God, I'm really, I love vitamin C because I get a lot of pigmentation. It's brilliant for that. I love it. We've got two powders in here. Oh, I'm absolutely thrilled. This is from the Pound Shop, and it's actually a pound.
Starting point is 00:35:22 You know, like, you go in there sometimes and think it's a £2.50. Oh, this is... This is a pound. Right. So this is the smoothie does it, and it's exactly, in fact, I think it's better than Charlotte Tilbury. No.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Jordan Lipscomb has got me onto this. off tiktok smoothly does it pressed powder yeah oh i'm so excited i'm i'm really excited i know what that's my favorite mascara how do they get away with this it's so cheeky aldi and primark are cheeky but i love it right so primark it's called ps mascara and it's a dupe i'm guessing for the maybelline sky high yeah we love that we love that i mean three pounds it's even cheaper than the cheap one the cheap one and is it the same same same shot they don't change a single thing do they this is the how do they get away with this this i'm excited charlotte tilbury really the charlotte tilbury everyone talks about the um charlotte tilbury serum everyone talks
Starting point is 00:36:19 about that it's stunning isn't it beautiful absolutely gorgeous so this is the revolution pro miracle serum supercharged skin and it's a glow enhancing serum which is a dupe for charlotte tilbury i'm holding it up for anyone that wants to say oh then you've got your roller lash benefit this is just i mean oh my god i love a cheeky little brown they are so that's the Lash and roll lifting mascara Danny did you steal it
Starting point is 00:36:50 I'm not going to lie super drug that is amazing is that a dupe for the oh yeah I love a brown eyeshadow
Starting point is 00:37:02 oh my god the glitter in that looks unreal it's a really good pink where's this from super drug MUA how much was it
Starting point is 00:37:09 £3 £3 so good MUA Makeup Academy Neutral Wanderlust Eyeshadow Collection. That's, they're gorgeous colours. I only ever wear browns. And I'm the same. Well. My friends call it a bit of brown.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Yeah, that's it. Brown smoke. People come into Dolphin Makeup and they say I'll have blue and they go out with brown smoke anyway. Yeah, do you know what I mean? When people come to me for lip blush, they go I'll have this and I think, no you won't. No you won't. You'll have what I want. You can't say that. I can. Absolutely can't say that. Come to me for lip blush and ask for red. It's not gonna
Starting point is 00:37:37 happen. Aw, damn. Thank you. You're very welcome. I'm so excited I've tried my best for stuff that you haven't spoke about because you're so good at dupes I'm really excited Dan you spoke before about your 40th
Starting point is 00:37:53 because me and you were chatting and you're planning a really big trip for your 40th no you've planned my trip when she's pregnant she's really fun because she's got nothing to do she like plans other people she's like there, there, you need him you need her, you need this, you need that
Starting point is 00:38:09 I can't believe you are turning 40. You look absolutely... I can't believe that. Oh, girls. You know how he gets you everywhere. Babe, no, you look amazing. Oh, thanks. You really do.
Starting point is 00:38:20 You've not got a line. You've been very honest about plastic surgery. Yeah. And your weight loss surgery. Yeah. I had no idea about that. So I was 16 and a half stone. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:29 But I wasn't, I've not, I wasn't bigger when I was, I've yo-yo dieted. Right. So it's tough. like i was literally going out and people were saying when are you due and things like that chester's a small place i know but i felt worse for them you know yeah yeah yeah a bit too much you know it's like the worst thing but for me i i praise them girls that rock curvy yeah i praise you and you look amazing on the beach by the way they're the girls that i'm looking at a hundred percent it's all about confidence it's about confidence but it wasn't for me you didn't have
Starting point is 00:39:00 i didn't have the confidence i didn't want to go out i felt everybody was like talking about me because I put so much weight on. Why did you put the weight on, Danni? Because I was working seven days a week, and I was just eating shit. So I'd finish, like, I used to do about 25 clients a day, you know, on a Saturday.
Starting point is 00:39:15 In between, go for a maccies. Me and Sophia worked together. We'd get a chippy. We'd eat the whole kebab shop. Just to give yourself a bit of happiness, isn't it? I just love eating. I still do now. I have that through me.
Starting point is 00:39:26 I'll talk to you about that in a sec. So this is, I put that reel on my Insta. So that's, yeah. Fuck. yeah so I was 16 and a half stone so I made the decision well you don't even yeah that and I felt honestly I felt so depressed like even if someone had invited invite me somewhere I'd be anxiety for weeks I was happy and we would never think that so you were unhappy so it's not about the site you were unhappy I just I wasn't confident and I wish I would have been but my clients I'd see
Starting point is 00:39:56 in the city and I'd love I'm fine I'm in my space there but if I was to go out be invited to a christening or a wedding that was it i was so stressed so anyway i made the decision i wanted a gastric sleeve right um i'd looked into it i'm quite an impulsive person anyway so i probably booked it the day after that i found out about it i didn't read anything which you always say to make sure it's such a big operation i thought it was going to be bigger than what it is i was i was i was actually complaining thinking they're not contacting me enough they're not looking after me enough but when i realized it's not it wasn't that bad okay so yeah so i booked it so gastric sleeve I don't know if you're like listeners know like it's just they it's called a sleeve
Starting point is 00:40:33 because they take away like two-thirds of your stomach yeah um so anyway so you can't eat which I needed because or drink don't you get pissed really quickly we me and Steph because Steph's had the same my best friend she we call it gastric piss like gastric yeah you have like a tiny bit of wine and it's yeah it goes to your head because you've not got any food but I didn't listen to anything they told me because i'm that type of person someone gives me the rules like they give me a sheet of what i'm to do after i just went on whatever absolutely very me not very ashley but big mistake because when they said about my hair my nails i had no hair i had like i had extensions and i had a mullet because of the nutrition and you think i was trying to eat good
Starting point is 00:41:15 things what's small of it but it doesn't matter and every single person i know that's had the gastric sleeve as the same's happened no matter and steph did everything by the book she's like you but i didn't and the same things happened so i had no hair like my nails were just breaking and is that just because you're not eating enough nutritious you just can't you just can't eat so even if you even if i was to blend soup with all the great nutrition nutrients in doesn't matter i just don't know what it i don't know what it is maybe it's just the operation i don't know maybe it was that so anyway i lost i went down to ten stone um i'm trying to find a turkey surgeon to do it again
Starting point is 00:41:53 because I've got to get through it I think you stretch it get through it what I think you can stretch your stomach have you seen
Starting point is 00:41:59 that you can take those tablets now though that this they and they blow up yeah and they blow up in your stomach
Starting point is 00:42:07 to like the size of a golf ball I need this like the balloon and then you take a tablet and it goes down and you poo it out
Starting point is 00:42:12 oh right okay I mean I've made it sound really easy it's probably not right but I think four years ago right four years ago
Starting point is 00:42:19 okay yeah so you went down then what and then have you up and down since you do eat they tell you you're not supposed to have fizzy drinks they tell you you're not supposed to eat certain foods i've done everything that they've oh fantastic then no i'm just i can't follow rules i've never been able to do that since school i think it's adhd or something if someone tells me something i can't do it it's just it's mad so yeah so i'm looking for a surgeon that's gonna do it again if that's
Starting point is 00:42:44 possible i don't know but you don't need i don't you don't need it i have put weight on a little bit but can you not just go on a diet she doesn't want to I go on it's the best thing that's come out of this
Starting point is 00:42:55 I'm into my fitness I love going to the gym I love it but can you not just I love I like a lasagna and then I like a burger
Starting point is 00:43:01 and you love your cooking as well and I don't and I'm cream and cheese I am with you on your first one right
Starting point is 00:43:08 I am not with you on your second second is a bit naughty second is naughty and you because you can't be arsed first I'll allow you second you need to
Starting point is 00:43:16 shut your mouth yeah no no you'll see me with that hat on it's like for fuck's sake not again not again surgery how have you told have you it doesn't matter i'll tell you right so you had that done have you had any other surgery yeah so i've had my blephs i've had my nose i've had my boobs done three times i've had um i had a tummy tuck yeah i had lipo i had the worst bbl i got scammed by harley street clinic i remember that they were on tv when i took the bandages off and there was nothing to change it was horrendous and the reviews are really bad for that surgeon me and you looked together didn't we yeah then you think harley street oh everyone thinks that it's just a
Starting point is 00:43:58 name it doesn't mean anything it's just a name so yeah i've had that and i am going to go back for a little bit more lipo tell me your worst one that you wish painful not just like you wish you'd not is there any wish you'd not had not the bbl anything else anything you wish you hadn't had happy with it all happy with it all yeah there's none are you glad you did it all glad really glad the pain though with a tummy tuck if anyone's looking at it don't think it's not going to be painful because it was the worst really i've ever had and you need to prepare for that don't you need to prepare for that because a lot of people said oh no it wasn't so bad or and it was it was horrendous scary but look if you want to do it and you love it then all you do is you make sure
Starting point is 00:44:38 that after the surgery you have the right things in place and you have you know sufficient rest someone to look after your children and just don't just take it seriously there's a few people i need to ask one more thing you've done stuff abroad yeah turkey i'm saying i'm pro i have my boobs on there and we talk about that in i think we're quite fair with it we talk about the fact there's good and bad i think that's everywhere though isn't it yeah and i just think the legislation and the rules over there aren't the same so they can get away with it more so we speak both my boobs are from turkey tell me happy with the stuff that you had in turkey so happy that they corrected
Starting point is 00:45:10 a UK surgeon mine did that that's what they did that's what they did with me and I think they do a lot of correcting they corrected a mess of mine
Starting point is 00:45:17 mine was terrible with my boobs my boobs were terrible and do you know do you know what like there is a language barrier there is certain things that aren't in place
Starting point is 00:45:24 but really when it comes down to it I think they're doing it that often if you go to a really reputable clinic they're doing it that often you've got to be good at it
Starting point is 00:45:33 obviously I I did research for Turkey yes you must you must and I did go with people with somebody that i know a few people that have been to them before yeah um which yeah i'm going back to them it's getting more expensive over there well they will be pretty much the same price now isn't it some of the surgeons are like la prices yeah oh my god the nose done the nose
Starting point is 00:45:54 surgeons are so expensive unbelievable yeah she had that was just the last minute like yeah she looks gorgeous she's beautiful anyway but she's she's had a nose done by like he's like a major surgeon there like he's really he's like how much are we talking
Starting point is 00:46:10 like 20 grand it was about I think about 15 fucking wow jeez that is it's on your face
Starting point is 00:46:17 that's like everyone is saying that turkey for rhinoplasty you can't I agree I've seen the most amazing work
Starting point is 00:46:22 I am happy with my nose for me yeah yeah but I just think you always want some you always want more
Starting point is 00:46:26 like a look and an answer I'll just do it again so we're gonna do a quick fire we've chatted shit for far too long oh we could sit
Starting point is 00:46:35 with her all day thank you um okay worst date story could be someone else if it's not a worst date story for me it's for them oh yeah yeah because i met two guys me and my best friend met two guys on holiday this is well cringe i can't believe i mean come on come on no it's really bad because i am the least beggy person ever but we'd met them on holiday we had two weeks with them and they lived in glasgow we lived down here and then um i met them at the airport when they were coming home i think that's cringe what you didn't yeah so they we went home first and you went and met them from the airport but i had a denim jacket saying andy's girl on the back you didn't mention that we were off at the airport were you obsessed with him yeah
Starting point is 00:47:22 no but my heart's beating that fast because i am the least i know i feel sick i feel sick i just got excited i was in the holiday romance mode there's nothing like a holiday romance i actually moved up there after this and i don't you know looking back did he know you were moving there but you know when you're a kid and you're like oh not a kid but like a yeah you know and i thought oh i know you two look at me different now you're looking at me really differently let's never tell anyone that story oh my god that is nothing don't put it on take it out listen there's nothing compared to some of the stuff you asked the next one right we talk about this quite a lot um and if you thought that was embarrassing
Starting point is 00:48:05 what's the fart that haunts you right i know you look at me i think you do as you look at me and think i'm the type of girl that fart yeah you look fancy what's his head on the thing you look as far from that as you could go i do i would never if i farted in front of my fella i would want to move out yeah so you hold your farts and hold them in and i'm the girl that runs down to hotel reception yeah and says i've left something there and does it just do you remember rebecca lose when she was on the telly and she farted in front of calum beth yes that's just i just think it's disgusting and it's not right and men hate it men hate it and well he obviously does it he's obsessed james thinks it's absolutely hilarious but you don't find men like that a lot
Starting point is 00:48:50 He's like the male version of me. So you've never like let one out? Has there ever been an accident? Not that I know of, no. In your sleep? No. Maybe, but if he told me I'd want to let you. So he wouldn't tell you.
