she came in Poppy and she'd been on a holiday and met you and she went to me I was like she's insane nicest girl I've ever met I thought she was

going to be right I'm going to tell you the truth right so Poppy me and Poppy people always think that of me so it's fine

I did and this is why I'm going to own it I'm going to own it and I'm going to tell the truth because I think it was my insecurity so I'm going to own it

basically so we've got similar circle of friends mutual friends yeah mutual friends and i didn't know her but knew she was and whenever we'd go out she was there center of attention right in the middle partying loving life and it clearly at the time was my insecurities i thought she's clearly a bitch no i'm telling you because i'm wrong and this is everything that we try not to do this was years ago i've grown since then and i remember thinking like oh that confident who's thinking me and that is horrible but i'm telling you the truth because that anyway i get that a lot that was years ago

okay anyway me and poppy were both visiting uh our mutual friend in marbella and we met at the airport and i swear to god she is the nicest most one and i met her and i was like we had a very fun holiday we had the most fun holiday she was the she's just amazing and that's why i wanted to go on the bar barney with that that that's like you can't say that sorry i did poppy you were there when i ate the barney with we can't say name oh oh my god that was and you were like sit down lauren let's not do that she's wild have you seen that stuff she's been posting right let's not let's be careful but yeah um i i had a bit of a barney and poppy diffused it what also happened is i had a metallic skirt on with like circles do you remember like discs that everyone wore and

had a shirt underneath it and it snapped didn't it we were walking down it fell off and poppy was on her knees she got a bobble like bit it in half she's the girl's girl so yeah i wanted to get her on for a few reasons number one because i just think she epitomizes body confidence yes and i think she's you've come a long way from what i can see you can tell us more yeah definitely and you are a model are you a plus size model or a medium size model no so i'm classed as a plus size so this is what i want to know yeah so because i wear a size 16 that's basically like classed as plus size and this is what i want to ask you about um and your body's insane and you own it and i just think you're aspirate that's why i want to get you that's why i want to get

you absolutely gorgeous and she's fucking look at her skin i know i was just looking at the skin it's got like light bouncing right i'm gonna jump straight into it poppy yeah modeling how did you get into it and how did you get into i'm doing quotation marks i hate that reference i know but i don't know what else to call it but how did you get in it is there is there's a category whether we like it or not so tell me how you got into it how you got into that side of it yeah so basically i never wanted to model ever my twin georgia who is um been a model since the age of 18 we're 27 now always wanted to model that was always her dream i did lash extensions taught lash courses and then lockdown happened and obviously what did everyone do they went to dubai

so literally i went to dubai so i literally went to dubai and a photo of me and my sister on a boat went viral um and it was a picture of me and her in a bikini next to each other and first of all ann summers saw the picture because georgia was signed with an agency and said oh are these two related like would they want to do a post are you identical no not identical yeah so two eggs two sperms okay yeah so basically sisters on the same day yeah but we're like similar but completely different yeah yeah and looks wise you're similar but completely different yeah yeah but we have the same laugh yeah same voice yeah george is lovely as well yeah so go on so people saw this picture so ansomer saw the picture and then i was like bloody hell so much money for a pose i was like

are you actually joking but at this time never still didn't think about modeling were you a bit scared of it no because this was just instagram and then from that and summer's post i got signed to an agency someone said oh my god like she would be perfect for curve and obviously like george has always done modeling and i would never want to take that away from her but because she's a size six to eight and i am a size 16 like we're not going to be in competition with anything to do with the business um and she supports me 100 and obviously she's giving me so much amazing advice and it's very nice to have someone who's been through everything because modelling is hard work.

I'm confident and it's hardcore. You have to be a tough cookie. What's the hardest thing that you've done? It's not so much the hardest thing that I've done. It's more like, for instance, you could be on what's called option all week and then none of them come through. So you think that you've got five days' worth of work,

you get told the rate, you think it's this, you think it's that and then they could all just get released. and is that because none of them pick you different things the job could get cancelled the stock doesn't come in or they just

chose someone else see I couldn't whoa I couldn't and I think one of the things that I was really interested in because I know we have a lot of listeners here

different shape sizes all the rest of it and that's one of the reasons I wanted to get you in yeah you and Georgia are opposites completely yeah

size wise you're opposites you do like you say you sign with Curb Georgia's like a 6 to 8 how did has that ever bothered you has that ever made you feel

a type of way have you always because you own who you are yeah definitely I feel like I've always been the bigger twin so that was just who I was yeah and then I've always been the biggest one in my friendship group okay which was fine but then like you know like you can't borrow your friend's clothes and little stuff like that which looking back I think did it bother me but I feel like I just owned who I was from a very early age and

in my head I just used to think of it like they look how they look and I look how I look and we're not all gonna look the same yeah and at the end of the day you're beautiful no matter what size you are i actually think it's better like having a wide variety of like different looking people because then you clear up with all the men exactly do you know because you can appeal to everyone i've got yeah blonde i've got yeah little i got your long hair short hair we've got this cover boys whenever you go and the thing is when if me and george was to ever go into a bar like the white guy would always go to georgia and the black guy she's perfect

there's no competition yeah exactly nothing that's good that is good at least you both won't be shagging the same person

oh god has that ever happened no no no I think we fancied the same person once yeah but we've never like slept with her

I don't think we've ever kissed the same person either no so with I'm quotating it plus size modelling we're calling it curve

I prefer that no so curve is like the in between and then plus size is 16 right explain it to me poppy and there's some this is what i really have been interested in with this what happens if do you have to remain a certain size what if you want to what if you want to naturally just like lose a bit of weight or you're getting like where do you how tell me how that works so obviously there's a sample size which the stock will have so i think

like i don't want to call it normal size modeling but the average size for a woman is actually 16 in the uk yeah but like a let's say normal figure we're like so like how can i explain it the size eight girls yeah obviously that's a size eight sample okay and then 10 to 14 would be like your curves okay but which would be probably about size 12 and then plus size is 16 to 18 depending on what brand it is so pretty little thing is a 16 and asos is an 18 and if you can't fit in them clothes you can't sell the clothes oh yeah so you have to stay in your size range or this is what i never understand yeah i mean obviously i can't lose too much weight or else i'm not gonna be in the right yeah because you always hear about women um that are told you know when

they're like literally size four and they're really skinny that they need to stay low whereas for you you need to just stay where you are yeah and i feel like i came into the industry at a good time where like people are really embracing curves and embracing every shape size height figure look if you've got a disability like everything is being embraced there's still a long way to go because even now when I'm on shoots and I think I'm classed as let's just say the bigger girl which is fine but I've worked with some absolutely beautiful curve models who wouldn't be considered because they're too big yeah but I think that's really strange um but it's just the industry that it is so the the average is so when we're calling this plus size whatever we want to

call it actually 16 isn't the average so why is it called plus that's why i don't like saying it because i feel like it's the no is that not normal well i mean yeah it is it is a bit crazy like my friend aisha who's been a model for a long time she used to be signed to an agency and she was a size 10 a few years ago and she literally was basically they basically said to her that you're plus this is a few years ago yeah it's only like recently changed and stuff i've only just got into modern like 18 months ago so i'm still learning everything like all the terminologies and stuff but she told me that the other day and i was like that is crazy it's ridiculous isn't it it's crazy because when i just the thing i love about you is on your insta all your posts you just you are who

you are and that's what i think a lot of our listeners that's why i wanted to get you on to trying what tips have you got for that because like you say from a young age you did kind of own it but you had a twin that was just opposite to you completely how do you own this is me this is my figure this is my size i've got this that how how what are your tips i think you just need to really like look within yourself i know it sounds so cheesy but you just have to just think okay like what is special about me yeah like i know i'm a good person i know i'm caring i'm a good friend and then when you're around like a really good friendship group that all lift each other up that just makes you feel better if you're around people that are just snakes and

bitching 24 7 like your life they do and you are who you surround yourself with i have a very good friendship group so we all just gas each other up i think poppy is the best and she supported the podcast literally from day one as well and she's the first on the pictures arms in the air and you're pitching your pose you support and I think that is important so I think anyone

that's listening if you do have if you do feel like the people around you aren't gassing you up and aren't supporting you and aren't and some girls don't

there's a lot of bitchy friendship groups yeah and I feel like as I've got older I've just learnt that if people in my life aren't serving a purpose

and if you're causing me drama or negativity like bye and I will just cut people off now I'm at the age I don't need any fake friends I cut a whole friendship

I thought let me just not do it yet and had you not slept with him at this point no we'd been on about four or five dates and this was the first time we'd stayed over together

so I was like don't do it gotta be giddy but no so went to sleep about four and then there was a knock on the door

about eight and I thought oh my god what's that and he was like oh god it must be like the cleaner so he's got up burning mine

you have to have your own and I think that's really important for girls nowadays to realise that just because a guy is buying you stuff like if he is then

they can take it away they can take it away it's a template it's enjoy it enjoy it but never be on your arse if he leaves you

and never be complacent always have a secret bank account I know I agree actually always have if he's giving you money always like I pay all my own bills

I've got all my shit sorted and I never used to think that I would be able to have the life that I have now and I've literally just grafted my absolute ass off
