Guys, hello and welcome to Nip Tuck, not giving up.
So... No, this is the last episode.
It's not because...
This is the last record before the... This is actually the last record.
I'm not leaving. I'm not. Every time, they're like, she's going to...
It's still here. Hi guys, welcome.
We did say to her, she's about to give birth,
and we said to her,
Lauren, if you don't want to come in,
you don't have to come in.
But she said, for the nipped up listeners,
I am coming in and I am going to give you my last drop.
Pew!
Breast milk.
My last bit of milk.
So, do you know what, guys?
That is commitment.
I'm here.
I'm having the baby in two days.
Mate, you'll be posting Instagram ads from your hospital bed.
No, I've got, so I've got one.
Yeah, I was.
I'm going to have to, I'm going to have to.
I was.
I've got one, it's actually a really good one, guys.
It's like drugstore makeup and it's a really good one.
And it's going to be like the day after
and I'm going to be like,
hello, I had a baby anyway, look at this new concealer.
So with what we do as well,
I don't think many people know how this works,
but basically we have to film our content,
then we have to send it to our agent
who then sends it onto the brand
and then the brand have to make any amends or approve.
Then it gets sent back to you.
but then you post it when it's scheduled in your diary it's very confusing and if they come back
actually it's probably quite interesting for people because like the influencer world you
don't really know like people try and keep it like a little hush hush like what's going on
but like you might do an ad um and if you've not perhaps said the wording exactly right which is
fair enough for the brand they need it right you might have recorded it on say a monday and you
wear it and you go happy monday good morning or whatever and you tick it off and then a few days
later it comes back and they go hey guys and they go hey guys and they go actually you've um not
mentioned x y and z you need to re-record it and you're like but that was i am not that person
anymore my hair isn't that person so it's actually quite difficult and then you have then you have to
remember to do it on the day and if mine like now we're recording till two o'clock then i'll be
shooting straight over to get saskia if it gets that point and i've not posted the hey guys good
morning good morning then it's not morning no and i have to do it the next day so do you know what
like the planning of it is um meticulous it's more than you would realize because at the same
time as well as we always say we want to make it real we want to make it genuine stuff so you
actually people don't realize how much time goes into it because you'll get like a brief say
somebody will say okay say look fantastic we've done a lot for them recently haven't we we love
them but you kind of get to choose you know your products that you want so you've got to think
there's quite a lot of things guys i do prefer when i'm given more creative oh absolutely what
what would you say the word is guy creative at the beginning um and i'm guilty of it you would
kind of get a you would be like right this is what you you need to promote is something that
we perhaps use and you would have to do it in a certain way and it just felt so unnatural and off
but now i think we're a little bit further down the line we can say yeah absolutely i love that
product i love that brand i will promote them but let me do it how i want to do it let me sit there
and be like right this is really good like lorna does it like this is dead good get it all done
Well, I know Lorna only, and she told us she will only work with brands that she believes in.
Yeah, and then she can be like, this is what I use.
Because as well, like, I'm speaking to a tan brand at the minute, and it's one that I love, da-da-da.
But I said to them, I'm being straight up, you will never get a video of me in a bra or a bikini.
Like, I just don't do that.
I was like, I don't mind showing, like, me putting on my chest, perhaps.
Yeah, but you're not going to get an underwear before and after.
But as well, do you know what?
we learned that the hard way because initially i think oh what was it for maybe it was a tan brand
and they said they wanted a picture of me before in my bikini and then after and then after and i
get why i get why that's the best way of showing the time but if it's not you if it's not you and
it's the way that you speak to your audience they want you to change sometimes how you talk to
people and you just think no because i love the product genuinely but as soon as you start hearing
me saying all these silly words that i wouldn't say like it's pointless because people don't
believe you then whereas if you're just like listen this sounds bloody brilliant but it's
it's quite hard so hard being an influencer well well well uh that's what everyone's thinking
totally get that um and no it is there are hard bits to it aren't there podcast is our main thing
that's something yeah we like that we can tell you the truth we don't have to say it in a certain
yeah do we um it is good that we've got the pod because we can talk about things like that daily
mail article about me last week oh let's mother of one which one oh what now why is why is everyone
writing articles about me it was like no because you don't say anything like i do yeah so listen
why does no one care about me it was let me show you no one's bothered about
wife wife of builder james wife of ja construction
so eddie a serial serial baby maker eddie stobart so this is what i didn't think was
right either eddie stobart how do you say that air that's not right i've had so much cosmetic
surgery my passport doesn't recognize me recognize me but right maybe though journalists just go
through and also of course they get content they know that um that yeah cosmetic surgery picks up
of course it does the 35 year old um beauty influencer oh well okay good she said she had
a facelift a nose job a brow lift and a lip flip oh i've had way more than that i've not had a lip
flip i've had a lip lift um but yeah it said the mother of one mother of one i didn't read it
um i just think they've literally quoted me word for word off the podcast and then they found this
really old picture you look lovely on that picture you know you do i had no makeup on you look lovely
um it's not a bad picture at all you look really really nice it's a very that is years old though
that is really old they only know that i've got one kid though because it says here ashley um
welcome to baby girl in december 2023 and i think it's because i've got one picture on my insta
with with snowy yeah so they don't know um but we were talking about this a little bit weren't we in
the car this morning um about the internet and about you post something and it's there forever
so you say something on the podcast and it's there forever they went through what was it
three years on another article there's another article which i think we've mentioned where it's
talking about your bum and that was a long time ago that we spoke about that um and i guess gone
back to someone must have gone back um but we were talking about because thea always asks me
if i'm famous um and the other kids do as well and that's just because like say we're out and
about someone might come over and they know about the pod and i'm like no i'm not but then someone
will come over and say i love the pod so they're like yes you are you're famous and they have this
joke in the house and she had gone on and googled me now she's got an ipad she hasn't got like a but
she's got safari she's getting older now she's eight her brothers are older they they know what
they're doing more yeah she googled me now i don't know exactly what came up because it's too traumatic
for me so i was like don't ever do that again and i didn't look and i didn't ask but she said
there was a picture mummy and i was there and i think it might have been the article that said
i'd rather have thrush than go to disneyland again um which was a shame for her to read because i'm
sure she thought i had a great time um but it got me thinking and it really frightened me it's not
something because she's always been so little when we've done this type of job now she's getting
older i'm thinking fuck what about when she's 13 i've said what i've said what if she goes online
and googles me or watches up and i'm talking about all sorts or like people on that horrible
website and it really freaked me out but then i thought it's my career i think the thing is
i've never thought about her seeing i don't talk about the kids really in depth like like i've had
oh god so much stuff going on recently and i don't talk about much of that and i won't show them
because i just think of that but even even once you've shown a picture you know on your social
media so basically my um friend i was asking her about it because you know how they can blur kids
faces out on certain articles um and then on others they don't i don't understand is that what
it is if the parent hasn't shown a picture of the kid they can't anywhere then the press can't okay
that's good that's good to know yeah but if you have you kind of yeah if you have your kind of
fair game yeah yeah but for me it wasn't so much the worry about fear it was just more like her
reading horrible things about me and i just thought wow there's gonna come a time potentially
when she is on her phone when she has a proper phone she's a bit older and she can read all the
terrible things that have been said about me and it's just oh it's not something i've ever thought
it'd make her really upset oh god yeah and then also but not just that and it's my fault because
i've spoken about like her dad like the situation she's gonna and i thought that's me i've said it
so i guess i'll just deal with that when it comes and saskia as well they could all listen to the
podcast like saskia does like no but you know when they're like 15 16 teenagers but do you know what
though like apart from the swearing and the sex stuff then i said like we said we said what we
said and actually i don't obviously some of it i don't want it to hear no one wants to hear about
the mum taking up the arse or whatever it might be but but the point of what we say i think is
actually something we make people feel a lot better i think it's empowering and i think i'm
more than happy for my daughter to grow up with the advice that we give and with a strong one you
know i'm happy for her to hear that did you see there was a clip um from the kardashians it might
have been like the last series or like a really um recent series where kim and scott were talking
about the fact that the kids are now a lot older and they're going to be able to watch back like
because they've been not because they've been around for what 15 years yeah they're going to
be able to watch them like scott through the drugs and drink and all that yeah it's mad because like
mason must be what 40 so he must know now but at the same time i think we do we should protect our
children i really do but at the same time i also think that these are life lessons that actually
is it that bad to speak to your child about listen look at what i got myself into look how bad it was
don't you do that because we are human and the way we are as parents we should be teaching them
what we've what we've learned you know could you imagine watching a podcast of your mum's talking
about this oh my dad actually texted me yesterday and he went hi just listening to the pod i was
gonna send it you both let me find it and so on right here we go hi just listen to some of your
pod in capital letters pod space cast podcast about brooklyn beckham you didn't mention you
met him as a baby oh my god i thought this was gonna go another way um and i was like i forgot
that and he was like mum found the autograph the other day because i was in so that's not what i
thought was coming thank god well he will have listened to the rest of it hi dad um but also
like i was with my mum and dad on saturday afternoon and the way that i talk is just how
