Starting point is 00:00:00 guys hello and welcome to nib talk not giving a fuck so let's get straight into it happy wednesday or whatever day you're listening on and i hope you're all having a lovely week it is half term for lauren and i and yeah it's um we're nearly at the end of it babe do you know what i think the thing i've tried to do and i spoke to you didn't i about it this week is i really feel like i am with fear most of the time but am i actually present present and i am the worst for i think because we work on our phones it's hard to put down and also you've got stuff going on and i do feel like sometimes i'm with her but i'm not actually looking at her i'm not listening to her i'm not and i've been really giving myself a hard time because obviously as a
Starting point is 00:00:51 mum that's just what you do um about that so this week i have kind of we've both said haven't we to our agents and stuff it's half term bear with us and just take that time um and i'm lucky enough that i have been able to spend loads of time with her but i enrolled her in a bloody swim school i do these things can i just say swimming classes in my area it's like getting a ticket for glass yeah no this is the same so hard and like i've been on a waiting list for this one place for ages and i feel like such a bad mum for not letting the kids learn how to swim i feel like back in the day for us it was just a standard thing where we'd go swimming yeah i just don't remember learning i could just swim and like swimming lessons and it was just yeah it was
Starting point is 00:01:36 just a thing but maybe our mums were just more organized i don't know but it's true all of my friends are the same getting your kid in a swimming lesson is so hard no that's why i have wendy said she's basically she goes to somewhere again that i've had i've been on the waiting list i was on the waiting list for and it's a lady that has a pool attached to a house so she does like four people at a time that's amazing amazing um because the swimming baths near me is fucking but also they get really ill really ill after they go swimming she's been going there but there's been some nightmares with the council basically she lives in like a big barn and and some dick wads that live on her it's like a big long street that got a big long like windy road in the middle
Starting point is 00:02:18 of the field i've been complaining saying there's too much traffic i mean she has just like one a night or what twice a week and they've been complaining they've complained to the council and they've had it closed for now how bad i thought oh that's so fucking dicks they're in the middle of nowhere if someone's going past it's kids learning to swim do you know yeah anyway so with it being half term so it stopped for a little bit and I was like fuck I'm going to have to get her
Starting point is 00:02:41 in a normal swim school I hate swimming I hate getting them ready I hate how wet they are after and trying to pull the pants on and they're always really tired I just hate it but you have to do it
Starting point is 00:02:51 you've got to do it so the swim school thing came up with this lady that's good in three days and I just thought I'm going to have to do it and I feel like consistent
Starting point is 00:02:59 like learn it's like when you're learning how to drive and you have one lesson every few weeks it never clicked did it so yeah
Starting point is 00:03:06 she's been doing that i've had to get her there for like nine and it's not near me but you've just got it once you can swim you can swim yeah and i was just thinking of holidays and stuff like i could do with her learning being able to not die yeah yeah um so i've been doing that what else have i been doing i took her for a pedicure i saw that did you love it yeah but it's i have to really have a word with myself about my control issues so she was looking at the colors and i was thinking did she want green or something bright blue sparkle just let her well i did but it's been i can't even look at her feet because it offends me that much but bet she loves it she does so i didn't say anything and
Starting point is 00:03:45 i was like what do you want with that one and i was like don't say it don't say it don't say it and i was dying to say why don't we go for a more muted pink a french so she got these blue sparkly toes but to be fair we got home and she looked at them and she went not that nice are they mom and i was like well i did want to step in but i thought i'd leave you to it so and then what else did we do she had a little pretend facial we've got all the kids this weekend so it's going to be carnage i think half term is a lot isn't it and men do they do they even well james does because he has the kids but most men do they even know it's half term does ed know it's half term they don't do they because do you think that when they're like scheduling their diaries listen this isn't all men
Starting point is 00:04:25 don't get me wrong but i know if i ask all my friends about their husbands they'll agree do the men have half term in their diaries do you think no no do they think right i've got that work on i've got a push it's like i've got half they don't know i don't think fear's dad knows it's after no how unfair never communicates with me like what nights he's away and because we go to events sometimes in the week and like this weekend i've got um work on saturday night and i was just like i'm working on saturday night he went oh i'm in london watching the rugby and i was It's like, so that means we need a baby. Are you going to sort that out then?
Starting point is 00:04:59 I do think, though, having a shared family calendar, which... James wouldn't use it. He wouldn't use it. But if it's in your Apple one, in your phone... That's why I use mine, because you're always on your phone, aren't you? Why are you going on Saturday? I am opening a Skin Academy in Liverpool. Not your own.
Starting point is 00:05:16 You mean you're doing an opening for it? Yes. So I'll fill you all in on how that goes next week. So what, will you cut a ribbon? Basically. Will you stand outside and cut a ribbon? yeah oh my god i feel like you've made it when someone wants you to open something i've never done it before i don't think have i ever opened it no i already know i haven't they've not asked
Starting point is 00:05:33 you to open iceland yet in rochdale like i would as well and they've not asked me to do the christmas lights at rotten stone oh my god do you remember when we were trying to petition to do yeah i feel like i should be doing that definitely how's your pregnancy update um you self-diagnose now and again i'll get bored and diagnose myself with stuff so i diagnosed myself this week with not enough amniotic fluid made it up no reason why that could be the case i just feel like googling things no i just made it i've heard someone say it um it's because my bump all of a sudden feels very much baby and not much else i can feel every limb every finger and there's not that much so i've just diagnosed myself with that maybe ask laura yeah i haven't got that i'm just um no i feel like
Starting point is 00:06:19 i've hit quite a tired period which i'm a bit gutted about i thought i'd have longer i thought i had about four weeks of great and that's it might be half term maybe so i'm quite tired um i'm starting to i'll be totally honest panic a little bit about what i'm gonna look like after so the way i described it to my friend i was on the phone to my friend chris this morning obviously he's a man so he doesn't get it and he's like well what do you mean and he said i said the thing is it's like being put into a blender or and you don't know what you're going to come out like yeah yeah because you may be really lucky yeah like i was with fear yeah my body wasn't exactly the same but you know i was all right that you could be really unlucky um your body shape could
Starting point is 00:07:02 change forever my breasts could hit my knees and they've always been fine and they cost a lot of money um my stomach could recover well i could have loads of loose skin that haven't been used to yeah like and you don't know you don't know yes i've had one baby i've not had a second people say the second kills you i don't know so i said it i don't know what i'm gonna come out worrying like well how will i go to the gym yeah and how am i gonna go to treatment and i'm nervous about this i'm not nervous about the weight because i can lose i know how to lose weight i'm nervous i think just you this time you'll give yourself a bit of a break yeah i'm not gonna be obsessive with it but i'll be honest like i want to sit here and say it doesn't matter it's the time of year
Starting point is 00:07:44 you're having the baby it's the summer so sorry for you because my last it's winter's so much easier in some senses well teddy was april and yeah the pressure i put on myself was not okay i don't want to do that i'll have holidays but we're gonna take the baby away it's not good i am quite nervous wait i can lose it's more just like certain things that you can't change you know i might get loads of stretch marks i've got some anyway if i do i do but i'd be lying if i sat here and just said it doesn't matter because you've made a beautiful baby it doesn't matter what you look like afterwards and that is a great way to think but is it honest is it really or do we care a little bit so i have been thinking about that quite a bit um no sleep are you worried about that
Starting point is 00:08:26 yeah i saw yeah my friends were talking about newborns and someone we know just had a baby and she's in the midst of it and i thought oh i'm nervous like it is so hard isn't it are you using any creams on your body at the minute because everyone's so into that no so i was using that mamma mia stretch doesn't it i feel so if anyone wants to start a business yeah but do a dupe of that but i just feel like i'm sat on the fence at the minute with these products that reduce stretch marks um because i think keeping moisturized in general over cure yeah there is no cure for i don't think there is and i think it's hereditary it's genetic i've been trying to keep them really well moisturized i'm oiling my body that makes
Starting point is 00:09:15 sense but i don't think one i don't know so guys tell me i'm not sure one body oil compared to the next body oil is going to make a difference to stretch marks yeah you know as long as you're using a body i think bump support is good for at the end as well especially if you've got like i've seen these knickers as well that have like patches on them i used them and apparently they they break up skin and they break up the stretch yeah yeah i'm gonna look at that but they're quite supportive as well yeah over the bump knickers towards the end i'm really sorry you won't i know them but i wore the marx and spencer flexi fit high-waisted knickers yeah fabulous because my arse is now beginning to sag if i wear a full knicker i get an arse shelf no but these
Starting point is 00:10:04 ones the flexi fit ones are seamless so you don't get that do you know what i mean yeah you get them in a bigger size so they're comfy so they're not digging in you'll wear them after your section as well because they go above your belly button i've been researching a little bit further which silicone scar patches i'm going to use which um because you use i use the freedom on one i've seen them there's another one i've seen as well um the lady that does my lymphatics told me about this other one which is reusable it might be the one i've been looking at very expensive 75 pounds is it yeah and then you stick it on and you can take it off yeah yeah so i've started to look at things like that um but no i feel i feel okay it moves constantly though in the night very irritating
Starting point is 00:10:46 um but i feel all right i think i'm a bit i'm starting to get a bit like you know like when we plan something in the diary and it's like may i think oh fuck or like summer i think i'm gonna have a baby then it's all very well being pregnant and but actually having a baby it's a lot it's a lot so i'm a bit nervous but i'm sure i prefer and i just really don't want to get any postnatal depression i didn't with fear but a lot of my friends have and i'm i don't want to get that like yeah i'm scared i'm gonna get like the you know when you my life's really good and i'm really happy and i'm scared i'm scared of change it happens to everyone on about week three to six where your hormones literally it's it's a chemical thing that happens to everyone and you will just
Starting point is 00:11:34 cry yeah and there are days where you and you very you're not very good at asking for help i've had a word with myself about you need to literally get on the phone to your friends and be like yes and then someone will be like all right i'm coming around come on let's meet up for lunch and at the time you think i can't be arsed getting the baby dressed and then me dressed yeah just put a hat on put a tracksuit on and get out yeah no you're right even though there were pros and cons about winter summer easter whatever babies you luckily in the summer you can go on a pram walk so much easier like all that all that stuff i remember i had fear in november like a very end of november and i didn't want to take out scared of it being cold the
Starting point is 00:12:14 amount of layers she had to put on i thought fuck this yeah fuck that whereas at least in the summer my friend had a summer baby and i can remember her having him and we go and sit in your friend's garden we would go in the garden we'd sit in the garden put the baby under a tent then we would go for prom walks and it was so much nicer so i think i think a spring baby is a good time yeah then i've been thinking about the section i'm like but yeah no i've got what three months left yeah fucking oh well yeah anyway enough of that now because i'm going under speaking of pregnancy so we keep saying we're not going to talk about these people anymore but it's a people are talking about it and it's on patreon is it true is it not is bonnie blue pregnant is lily phillips
Starting point is 00:12:53 i'm sorry then it's disgusting that is absolutely vile do you remember when people used to do those uh april fool's pregnancies about being pregnant and well i probably will have done them because then it was a bit different i just don't think we were as aware then it's if they have done that i think they should be taken off the internet how they've taken andrew tate off the internet they are on that level they're on that level now fucked upness it's not okay but so one of the girls in patreon sent in um or did you send it i can't a video and she's holding a bump yeah the looks of it yeah but surely she's not gone and got a prosthetic to do this it's fucked up has she confirmed so this is lily phillips who's yeah she put baby
Starting point is 00:13:39 philip stew and everything on the caption wow so and she looks very pregnant on it but she only did the hundred men not that long ago would she be that pregnant i don't know who's to say it's one of them and has she left is it a mistake or did she say right you can get me i'm so confused well we'll find out i'm sure in the next week she i think there's friction between them too i think they is they've fallen up constantly yeah because apparently bonnie blue's pregnant as well but i just don't understand other than the clickbait that they're gonna get how this is helping them um do you know what else we need to talk about that fucking bruvs podcast this honestly is not okay that is not okay and their what is their contribution to society exactly
Starting point is 00:14:30 It honestly made me so angry. How dare they ask what her contribution to society is? What the fuck? But do you know what he said that really pissed me off? He went, obviously you give to charity and that's great, but what's your contribution to charity? To society? Well, you've just said she gives to charity.
Starting point is 00:14:50 What do you want from her? She pays her fucking taxes. So if you've not seen this, guys, basically Rebecca Goodwin is one of the top OF earners. she was on live at woods first filthy rich the lady with the red hair um and she went on a podcast called the reality check and it was three guys against her and it seemed very ganged up on yeah and they were saying to her so you know how much do you earn off of and she's like more than all of you and then they were going into like where she takes her kids on holiday and it sounded like
Starting point is 00:15:24 really nice listen to it all i only watched like the idea that she had like she took them away in a camper van for a few weeks and they were like we're not taking them to maldives no with all your money and they were like literally ridiculing her of her life decisions and i just saw the clip where one of them says to her right that's your job what's your contribution to society well what was theirs well what what a question to ask and then one of them goes well um i know you give to charity which is great but well yes that's great what it was but even if she didn't want to give to charities nothing to do with them but the contribution to society then she started having to explain herself to herself uh to them sorry about like nurses and how you know they don't
Starting point is 00:16:07 get paid very much and they can't and i thought she shouldn't even have to be having this conversation what is their contribution to society i found it really bullying it was bad form bad interviewing and i don't even like giving them time a day because they've done really well off this now look at how live at wood was with her she sat down she interviewed her she gave a full all-around perspective on her the good the bad the came across great and as well you know like she said she did a tiktok when she got in the car and she was saying i have made out of my day i did not get paid to go on there i've gone on to help them but the only person getting people getting helped in this was them for their she didn't that's not gonna help her of so she got out
Starting point is 00:16:49 she got up and she walked out and everyone has been applauding her for that and when she walked out there's a clip of them and they're going do we fucking say anything wrong bro and it's like yeah you did actually you know awful to her what i would say is it actually just shows how bad they are at their job never mind in general if they've got a podcast and they think inviting people on to then ridicule them is going to get the best out of it they made them look they're not good but then look at the shit that grace got off interviewing bonnie blue because she was too nice yeah so but then i think it's very wrong it's not like you say olivia did it there's a middle ground where you can ask the questions that you're interested in you don't have to be up their
Starting point is 00:17:36 ass and agree with everything but you don't bully them like that bless her though she was saying that like she went in that room on her own before she went in they were already slagging off the next OF girl I think or porn star why have they got them on then why are they why are they getting them on because they need them this bitch is late and she was like the derogatory way that they were speaking about people that had taken time imagine us we would never we make everyone feel so comfortable when they come in we're grateful we even say to them you know do you want to listen before it goes out anything you don't want to talk about just tell us and honestly I just think i have been in situations like that before where i've been around certain people or even
Starting point is 00:18:16 some family members that have taken the piss out of my job to me and you just think stupidly do you know what i answer the questions and i laugh at myself yeah really should we be doing that or should i be saying well the fuck do you do then and walk off yeah and now i just think we need to all start for our girls especially setting boundaries where we do you know it's hard in the moment to clap back and say to them i'm not you know comfortable answering this and i'm not comfortable with you taking the piss out of me for what i do because i get the whole oh you have an influencer oh don't oh don't talk about this on your podcast oh does it oh fuck off so this has just brought me on to something that actually we got sent in patreon last night i'm gonna read
Starting point is 00:19:05 it out um anonymously obviously but it's just literally made me think about it now and i found it because i screenshot it i feel like a child writing this but somebody was really rude to me during my gym class this evening and it's really got to me i can't stop crying i'm half upset at the situation doesn't say what happened but also upset i didn't have the balls just to confront her about it afterwards and put her in a place a bit yeah i feel like i've got myself worked up and i'm back in the playground at 30. i've got a class book tomorrow and it's making me not want to go any words of wisdom so my reply to her was i mean i i feel like since i've got older i found and i think since being a mum to be honest i found like a confidence i would have there and then
Starting point is 00:19:40 wait till the end of the class and i would have pulled that woman to the side what was it the instructor we don't know i think it's someone else in the class um the piss out i don't we don't know she said something that's really upset her and she's more annoyed at herself for not clapping back and i think what my advice to her i wrote back to her last night was you've got two options here what's done is done you didn't clap back at the time that's fine though you're gonna see her at the class in the morning there's two options number one and this is what i would do but not if you can't just say that to everyone some people are having aren't as like confrontational yeah or confident i'm not confident um i would have pulled her to the side before the class and said
Starting point is 00:20:16 listen yesterday when you said x y and z you hurt me you hurt my feelings i thought it was really rude and out of order i just want to check with you i would probably have made her feel like a piece of shit and i was are you all is everything okay yeah if i do i is i don't really know you is there something i can't say because i don't know what she did yeah so that was i want you to know so you don't do it someone else yeah yeah yeah you know i went home and it actually really upset me so i thought and that woman will go trust me my second thing was if you don't feel confident enough to do that at least go in look her in the eye don't go in like a little frightened child go in hold your shoulders back look her in the eye don't like you know if you know someone's
Starting point is 00:20:52 in a room and you avoid looking at that don't do that look straight at her straight through her and just get your let her know that that won't be happening again rather than going in like a little wall i do think as well we should all start sticking up for each other if you see something like if you see something like that happened i don't know what happened actually this week i found out something that happened in a situation that you know about lauren and it's private so i can't uh everything on here but someone was openly really derogatory about me in a school whatsapp group setting um and i'm not gonna go into it but you know a few people know have noticed it and i've known about this for months and i'm not gonna talk about it's fine but it's just like
Starting point is 00:21:38 let's all not be mean to each other maybe saying nothing on that yeah i agree and i do think because mean girl behavior breeds mean girls it's it's really hard um but once you start doing it you it really honestly if i'm in a situation where someone's rude to me i literally say to them there and then excuse me i've done it in airports remember when i had to go at that woman that was rude to me but once you start doing it you feel really confident and you just think about yourself and think for a minute wait i'm 30 or 30 odd whatever and i won't take shit you won't speak to me like that i've had enough years of men mainly doing shit to me it won't happen anymore and i'm very like that about it now if someone's outwardly you don't have to be aggressive no no
Starting point is 00:22:26 you just nip it in the bud that fucking second yeah you bring them back down to your level of you just say like sorry do you know what the best response is that i always do wow yeah like just say that i probably would have done one of them i would have probably depending what she said we don't know i need to find out animated wow why are you my favorite is are you okay no i think are you okay is a bit i would just quite confrontation makes people very angry you could say wow in many different ways you could go wow or you could go wow yeah or you could go oh wow yeah like ways and then do you know what is your best friend as well silence wow yeah silence yeah then what then yeah let them but honestly go in that gym and
Starting point is 00:23:16 make sure that your body language don't avoid eye contact with and make the eye contact i'm saying you know when you go in a room and you avoid that one but don't do that look past her look through her look her in the eye if you need to as you're looking around but make her know that you're not scared of her and if you do have the balls i would pull her to the side it depends what it was can you tell us what it was i know you'll be listening so tell us what it was anyway sorry i digress there but it just it just reminded me when we were talking about um how to deal with certain situations yeah and i just think like go rebecca for walking out because again you know if she was on a low day she might have just sat there and laughed and answered their evil questions
Starting point is 00:23:56 which i've done before and i look back it's like when you're in an argument with someone and you look back you think i wish i knew it in the shower yeah you're always in the shower in bed all night what i should have said and then you wind yourself up and you're like how many conversations have you had in the shower you end up then taking it out on someone you love like your partner the next day or your best friend the next day because you're you know furious with yourself and then we take it on the people that we love the most who we're around the most and that's why it is very important to set boundaries i think it'd be really good to you know on our episodes where we answer dilemmas girls get in touch with us if you've been in these situations where you do feel put down shut down
Starting point is 00:24:43 you know made to feel ganged up on in certain situations and it's all right to get up and walk out everybody's boundaries are all so different that's the hard thing about giving advice on this type of thing because what somebody might say to me that i would not honestly not find offensive and i'd probably laugh in fact that brings me on to something what the girl video with the ass yes the problem with giving advice on boundaries is everybody's boundaries are different especially if you don't know them so always think and act like you don't know someone it's really really hard because i might say i wouldn't have that whereas i'm quite my boundaries were quite humorous or someone else might find it offensive so always when we give advice just remember your own
Starting point is 00:25:26 boundaries and i do make certain jokes in front of certain people and they're like that's not yeah because you've got so what we saw a video um and it was a girl and she was doing a workout right was it in manchester and she was filming herself and she was about to start a workout and she's got a gym gear on got a cap on i think she's about to start running anyway she's propped up the phone she's on some steps yeah and a guy a pretty rough looking older guy walks past the behind her what does he say something like nice ass nice ass right we'll post the video on patreon and she then filmed herself running she was very emotional she cried and she said afterwards how awful it made her feel so we had a little me christina and i sort of chat about it so again this is where
Starting point is 00:26:07 your boundaries come in now for me that wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest in the slightest i would have laughed it off or i would have turned around and made a derogatory comment straight back to it or i would have clapped back because i'm quite quick excuse me i would have been like get on with your day yeah that's and then i would have laughed about it that's me and you said pretty similar to you you would have been a bit like oh yeah i've got a good i would have been like comments were so conflicting some people like this particular girl and rightly so that's up to her was so upset by it felt so what's the word um oh what's the word i'm looking for west traumatized and that boundaries pushed by it it really got to her whereas i personally
Starting point is 00:26:51 but men should not be saying nice ass to girls it's wrong don't get me wrong but i i don't know if it's because i've got a bit of a manly personality yeah i'd laugh i wouldn't have given a shit no but this is another thing i was listening to a podcast the other day and the lady on there was saying that uh about derogatory comments that men could make or pervy men in the workplace whether it is you're getting touched up which is fucking wild or just a bloke that's you know calls you darling or whatever there's so many different ways there's two extremes here and you know everyone is entitled to where they choose to be comfortable exactly yeah i agree but what she was saying was the whole me too movement women of a certain age that were say
Starting point is 00:27:42 in their late 50s 60s that have been in hollywood for years when me too came out and it was in covid and there was all these younger actresses coming out saying i you know this happened to me the older ones were going oh shut up if you know what happens in hollywood and you just put on put up with it and it's so hard because is it lauren that we have grown up in this generation of fucked up like you know where we think that's all right we think it's okay and then maybe that's why we don't care yeah yeah maybe right you know or is it that the newer generation is a bit softer i think it's really hard there's a middle line and i think like we've just said the main thing is you've got one end of the spectrum you've got the other end and you choose where your boundary
Starting point is 00:28:36 is and again and you make that clear and i think you can make it clear to people by your reaction so for example if i was in the office and an older guy made a sexy joke about me i'd probably laugh and clap back straight away with a funnier one that's my personality maybe that's how like you've just said i'm used to that i don't mind a silly flirt with a blow i don't mind that so there's certain things that I quite I don't mind a bit of a joke I don't mind a bit of a flirty male versus female banter and that's where my boundary is and people that meet me and men that meet me probably test it out and know where my boundary is however you could also be absolutely not okay with that not even okay being called babe or darling by a man and I think as long as when
Starting point is 00:29:17 somebody talks to you they work out your boundaries and they respect them that's the most important thing that wherever your boundary sits the person that you're working with dealing with respects that i think that's something it doesn't matter where your boundary is we've all got different ones yeah just know like you meet me you know you can have a flirty joke with me within 10 minutes because i'll give it you back whereas another person if you if a guy meets her and she's absolutely not okay with that then they have to pull back and say no though i had a job a number of years ago and it was mainly men that i was dealing with and the inappropriate behavior of some of them was like wild yes and actually i had it quite bad this is really bad but like and
Starting point is 00:30:02 at the time i thought it was okay yeah i had a lecturer at uni who literally sent me a message on facebook yeah see that's that's like like asking me out and i just ignored it and like laughed and in reality what if there was other girls that looked up to him and yeah i think that's different i'm talking about more of a banter thing a reciprocated banter but but then are you egging them on to be able to do something else they would be mature enough to know i don't know it's a really tough one because i am very banter i am and it doesn't offend me very much and i was on the train a few weeks ago actually and i was on my own and i was coming back from london i think and there was these lads and they got on the train first class with some bottles of
Starting point is 00:30:54 wine whatever fine you're drinking fine and they were being quite rowdy and i was getting up and down to go to toilet and one of them on the phone knew i could hear him and he was on the phone to one of their girls in their office from the conversation i heard and he went oh yeah there's a girl on here she's got a better ass than you right and i was literally on my yeah and i was like yeah i wouldn't be all right with the fuck yeah like and i felt like saying and i was at the point where i could have been like and these guys they were same age as me yeah that's not all right i agree but again it's your boundary some people might just be like cheers love and i probably would have gone nice one and i wouldn't have cared but some people would be really upset by
Starting point is 00:31:40 that so again it's your boundaries it's where you sit comfortably and if you're not comfortable it's being able to say don't say that and leave the situation and be and that's fine just like it's all right if i wanted to turn around and be like it's a shame you're never going to get anything you know or clap back or cheers love which is probably what i would say because it wouldn't bother me and that's all right as well yeah it's knowing your boundary and leaving if you're not comfortable yeah and being able to say you're not comfortable without people going i hate that the stuff you were saying about the the older generation how we've kind of become hardened to it and stuff and we look back and we're like oh stop being like that you know we
Starting point is 00:32:17 all had to deal with that i think in a way that's a bit of like jealousy because yeah we've all been in those positions like maybe we shouldn't have been 10 years ago that's what i was where we were where we were definitely felt like oh we just kind of had to laugh it off but actually thinking back to it it's disgusting i remember being in an office and i was in my early 20s and there was like men in their 50s saying stuff and i was like yeah at the time but actually thinking about it it's disgusting you shouldn't have had to and i shouldn't have had to have dealt with that and at the time i couldn't have gone to my boss and said oh they would have told you you would have lost your job well not lost my job i was like kind of freelance at that time so they would
Starting point is 00:32:50 have been like oh she's annoying so i think fair play to this younger generation who is sticking up and being like these are my boundaries i'm not fucking dealing with this shit yeah so i think fair play to that and i understand what you're saying the older generation they're like oh well we had to deal with it and it is a bit of jealousy there because they had to because they had to but i think it is wrong you shouldn't that that girl who was on the tiktok who was like going for a run it was an older bloke on his own and it was creepy yeah i would be like fuck off i think there's a difference between like banter in the office like her like you know whatever you know i'm fine with that i'm not like you know prudish or whatever but it's just the it is when
Starting point is 00:33:30 you're out on your own sexualizing doing one thing yeah i get it and in the gym men in the gym that are pervs that approach you as well that should not be allowed the amount of times they've come over and asked for my number in the gym or yeah that's not nice that's really really inappropriate and when i lived in london i remember i was that hard into it i just got used to people rubbing their erection on my back on the tube oh that's disgusting that's disgusting i know i always think i remember when i was in my 20s and i was out minding my own business talking to my friends and this guy put his head up my skirt and um i went ballistic like genuinely went ballistic and i might have slapped him i can't remember um and the bouncer and i was i brought the bouncer over
Starting point is 00:34:19 and i was going mad this guy's put his and he was like he literally said to me calm down like he was like calm down dear type thing you're being hysterical and I was like he's just put his head up my skirt and actually and it makes me I'm so angry still about it now um and I was really angry at the time but if that was now I could take him to court yeah but that's just reminding me you know when we have these naked butlers in the buff what about all those women chasing grabbing the crotch yeah grabbing their arse because I've done that do you know what I mean like we're talking about sexual assault no but no but listen if someone's a butler in the buff right that doesn't mean we can touch them but how many women go grabbing at their ass and the penis i think they choose to
Starting point is 00:35:02 get that out no you can't say that you can't say that that's like saying a woman at a strip club should be allowed to have a tits and fanny groped it's all right one way do you know on hendys when we're all going to show us your dick do you know what i mean you've got to think of it that way as well i think we forget that a lot and women get away with it well more do you know what i mean like if you think about it butler and the buff shouldn't have his ass grabbed yeah but there are things about like being made to feel vulnerable when you're on your own as a woman and having stuff said said to you you're in a dangerous position aren't you like that's the that's the the gray area isn't it because for women like i'm sorry but we are like we are so much we are so
Starting point is 00:35:43 much more vulnerable i have a friend who went for a massage on holiday i'll get um her to tell you about it when you see her and she she this was like in summer and the guy went down i wouldn't want him i find it very uncomfortable she requested woman whatever and then she said can you not did her got up and left told her friends told her husband and they all like made a bit of a joke of it and then a few weeks later she's like it's really really bad and i can't stop thinking about how if she hadn't said anything what would have happened he's just fucking mad i don't like that's happened to two of my friends actually yeah i don't like them i don't like men touching my body i find that really uncomfortable yeah um there's something about a massage that i actually just
Starting point is 00:36:32 i don't like them at all i find them really i don't see for touching my body not into them so the other thing speaking of women and all that shit chloe fairy yeah have you listened to a podcast right so i have absolutely adore her i you know normally you say listen to this and i don't uh ever ever uh but i actually did and i've listened to nearly all of it i did it when i was it was a long one wasn't it what was i doing tidying up or something um so sorry it's the chloe ferry podcast on paul brunson's pod um now i can remember we wanted to see if she'd come on once and i vaguely mentioned her and i can't remember who one of our team said she never does
Starting point is 00:37:28 them she doesn't like public speaking she doesn't like speaking on her own she doesn't like interviews she won't do it um and she did say on this she knew him already from celebs go dating so i think that made her feel better but she doesn't do them um and what a lovely girl so it was basically talking about a lot of it was image wasn't it and it was about growing up in Geordie Shore all the surgery she had done all the negative press so she got loads of surgery because of her image and then realized what the fuck have I done and then reversing reversing reversing and she's actually just had her BBL reversed with a surgeon we know really well called Grant Hamlet yeah we worked with him at maya he lovely lovely guy great surgeon we've known him for years and she's gone
Starting point is 00:38:09 to him to have the bbl reversed um and as much as possible yeah and it was really really interesting wasn't it really interesting and you know what she was very open and honest i think you have to be i think if you're going to go on a podcast you can't go on and and be closed because it really shows i think you have to if you're going to do something like that you have to let yourself be really honest and open and raw um and she did and i thought she was really good worth a listen guys she was basically just saying you know she went in geordie shore at 19 she said which i thought was really sad before she went in call with them i know she said she thought that she was hot stuff so before she went in she would look in a mirror and think i'm fit like she she
Starting point is 00:38:59 had confidence she loved her body she thought she had great tits she she didn't like her teeth but bar that she thought she was a very attractive girl and she felt it and then goes in the geordie shore house and i think the media was even worse back then wasn't it was quite a while ago 10 years ago it was look at she wore a certain dress and everyone it was all in the tabloids about how saggy her tits were what the hell and before seeing that she never once thought her boobs were saggy it had never gone into her mind that her breasts were saggy she thought she had a great pair of tips so it was like those heat magazine days where the circle of cellulite and all of that and she was told that her boobs were saggy that much that she went and got them done
Starting point is 00:39:40 and then no arse kept popping up she got no arse no arse no arse so she goes and gets that done and nose as well everyone was saying she had a big nose so she goes and gets that done and this frightening thing was she she until she got told all these things didn't think any of them and how weird like how scary is that and obviously it just made me think obviously she's in the public eye and the tabloids were telling her all this however this can relate to anybody as normal people of the people around you so that girl went in there thinking that she looked great but somebody told her several times that something wasn't great and then she really believed it and it just made me think of being careful who you when you especially when you're a young girl if
Starting point is 00:40:24 you're listening now like who your partner is who your friends are who is around you because if you have a partner that constantly makes like like jokey digs about your boobs maybe god you'd be all right with a bigger pair well you don't need to worry with those no no boobs that's awful if it can affect anybody so just be really careful of your circle so that you don't have people or partners that put you down and then put but how are you meant to escape from that if you are immersed in the press and instagram well you're not you can't in her in as it happened to her but i just think it made me think it's not just famous people all of us have that devil on the shoulder and can get in with people that give us that complex do you know what looking back
Starting point is 00:41:05 at things that we've gone through i honestly think that me and you block a lot of shit out of our heads do you remember like some of the men that used to bring their partners in for surgery yeah and the stuff that they would say in front of them and the amount of times i had to say to the man can you leave the room yeah yeah when trying implants i want to chat with her on on my own they'd want to go for bigger you want to do this and they'd make jokes like i'm paying for it only if she goes the size i say and like what the fuck you would get a lot of that so it was really interesting um and and it was also interesting obviously we talk about surgery a lot what we've actually spoke about after that is celebrities oh my god this baby's going wild celebrities
Starting point is 00:41:49 endorsing surgeons before seeing their full result so we had a little chat about um about the dangers of celebrities saying i'm getting my boobs done with x yeah having not had them done yet i think it's really listen and you know what guys we're gonna have a really open honest conversation about this because we have both done this before and and you are that naive especially as a celebrity a younger person you are that naive you may get offered a discounted it might not even be discounted you might just want to document it because it is you know it's it's and people are becoming more open and honest but what i can say and that we all need to educate ourselves on is be careful of saying i'm going to get this done with x y z before you've
Starting point is 00:42:38 had it done yeah because some people will listen see that if you've got a big following and think if you've picked them you've done the research for them they won't care about your results and they'll book before you've even had yours done exactly and then also a second onto this we were talking about someone that's recent well not recently they had surgery about two years ago they posted all about it online the before and afters were very visual and it looked great absolutely great a year down the line issues issues complications you don't know your full surgical result until a year down the line because things like um one of the things that i see a lot and i saw a lot at maya and we get a lot in patreon is people that have had master pexes which
Starting point is 00:43:23 is an uplift they look great they look high they look fantastic nipples are smaller and all the rest of it and then and then after time they get the nipple stretch which is really common isn't it all the scars can then start and it's not until like six months positioning may not be yeah noses where you think they're all right and the nose is a big one so we were just basically just having a chat about it and we were just saying that's why it is risky saying the surgeon's name because until you know the full result i agree completely and it's also as well i personally think it should be made illegal to go on and say right i'm off to get xyz done by xyz and for promo on instagram without maybe being completely transparent and saying yeah yeah you should
Starting point is 00:44:17 you you know whatever if you want to go and do that fine but i think it's good i kind of like the fact people talking about it because you're seeing the reality i can tell you something so someone that i know um who who is a celebrity went with a certain clinic abroad to have some work done and in the contract it was like a watertight contract saying you have these obligations to post this this this and this from your journey and you are not allowed to say anything negative i think that's quite common about the surgeon or your experience in the end she had very negative experience and couldn't say anything and couldn't say anything there was also someone whose journey that i followed in the early stages of uh when i started thinking this isn't right the whole like
Starting point is 00:45:09 this person i credit to this that the other um someone from a tv program younger girl went abroad for surgery again she's there in stretch limousine getting taken from the airport it's all glamorous in this stunning villa or apartment whatever it is i'm having xyz and look at all the food in the fridge look at yeah look at the bed that i'm sleeping in look at this right she then does a full magazine article with a big publication she probably actually got paid to go and have this surgery done then six months later my experience from hell and how i'm getting a uk surgeon to fix it and you shouldn't go abroad for surgery and i thought how many women have already copied you it's crazy but then you could even go down to we had this the other week lauren and i
Starting point is 00:46:02 are very authentic with the brands that we work with especially with skincare clothes fine you get it you can feel it it's good it's good it's not price point you wear it once whatever perfume smells good like it fine skincare prescriptive skincare very strong i have a brand that's been wanting to work with me for a while i said right i'll try it again send it over horrendous yeah like horrendous no and my whole face is peeling off but i just think it's you look at everything on social media with you know an open don't have your rose tinted glasses on yeah i think is that is the main thing but it is tough because we want people to talk more about surgery and we do say that because we want them to be open if they get in a boob job say you get
Starting point is 00:46:56 in a boob job if you want and then women aren't looking at you thinking my boobs don't look like that but i think it's just being a little bit careful about recommending surgeons until you've seen your results after and until you're really happy because what are you gaining from it really unless i guess you're getting it free and i just think you need to be a little bit more obvious with that for sure um like you've had how many dms have you had about your facelift like millions and millions and millions of them and they demand the surgeon's name some of them are rude as fuck they don't follow you there's not it's who did your face i even get them and no one's done mine it's just like i will you know i will who did your face if you if you really are and a caveat
Starting point is 00:47:37 always with it's guys it's your own decision but i wouldn't go on instagram and do a video like this is who did it you know you share it on patreon you've got to but you've got to like know that we've got a list of surgeons on patreon as well and we always make sure we list four or five for each thing and we say you have to go and research those four or five and do you know what one surgeon works for one person it may not work for the other and you have to understand that yeah it's a it's a wild area isn't it and i'm not sure there's a right and wrong so i think we're just learning another thing that i really need sought out this week is my private health insurance i really need to sort it out and i don't even know where to start do with that i really need it
Starting point is 00:48:27 a few people that i know should we have to be doing this yeah pay all this money yeah unfortunately another conversation uh the the only reason why i would need private health care i think is for if you got cancer what you would like to have it in place in case that happens to any of us yeah absolutely because of the waiting lessons things missed and stuff i've seen a lot about it's more like having your own room if you're in there for many weeks at a time but lorna was saying and i don't think she'll mind me saying she's quite open that they didn't go private because actually sometimes it's not even any better when you've got i think it's like quite circumstantial i don't know so are you gonna get private are you gonna get it i'm gonna look and
Starting point is 00:49:12 i'm gonna let you guys know how i got on yeah probably won't get it for i don't know that i i don't know what kids do get looked after really well in hospital the times i've had to take the kids to hospital they've been it's a separate waiting area for the a and a and they've been very very good with them and it's all been fine and i don't actually think for kids there is much different more for adults one of them had to have an operation and i just paid for the operation and that was fine but i think for adults it's quite but what you've heard to remember as well though is with your health insurance any pre-existing conditions are not covered so say i went now about my piles no it wouldn't cover you for your time i thought they would but
Starting point is 00:50:01 a premium and you have to sell them no because i've already been to the gp with it so it's a good to get in there now i've got all these things i've got a private gp and i'm really right that i i don't want to say this touch wood don't go wait till you have the baby right anyway let's move on from private health care because that's just a wow let's be a bit more light-hearted let's let's pick this up a little bit as you know we're always looking around and thinking of things that we can share with you and one of the things that we sent into our group chat was an article about the best home fragrances to buy what are you like for your home smell i mean it's probably really bad kate would probably really tell us off for it being toxic etc but i do love the candle
Starting point is 00:50:45 and do you like them yeah i'm allowed to like them in my house um my favorite candles personally i love the white company i've just switched from the winter fragrance to seychelles oh yeah i've got the winter in still i am either winter or seychelles they're my two go-to also there's a candle um that I got at Christmas that I actually bought for loads of friends and family from a company called Lifestyle Interiors right and they do the it's that massive candle I've got you always say that's nice and then they do the reed diffusers they're huge as well and I just think a big candle or reed diffuser even if you don't light it or it's nice to add that dimension yes I as I've said many times i can't have although he can the white company candle he can why is that is it like
Starting point is 00:51:38 might be less toxic i don't know but we can't have any um candles any diffusers any anything in our house because james has asthma so we can't have anything but i do like it for show and i would get a diffuser and have nothing in it just because i like how it looks really good the portable um electronic diffusers are meant to be incredible neom have got little tiny ones so you plug them in and charge them and then like i don't know say you were in the bath or something like that or you can even get them in your car now and you put the essential oil in and it just and it burns off i've just ordered as well a drift car air freshener and what's that in vanilla and coffee oh i love vanilla yeah i'll let you know if it's nice um i just saw an instagram ad but did you
Starting point is 00:52:26 know as well that diptyque do car diffusers and so do joe malone so listen to something that i saw on i've forgotten her blooming name she does wardrobe organizing for molly may carla webster yeah she has a diptyque um one that you put on your in your clothes oh yeah and you put it on your hanger like in between them all and it just makes your clothes smell nice that tempted me i've been looking at hers a lot lately because i'm having my bedroom done um and this has been going on for a long time uh and i thought oh i quite like the idea of that have your clothes smelling like have you ever bought anything from rituals no their stuff is it now and it looks nice i think uh yeah and it's actually really reasonable isn't it christina so you go in the shop and you can
Starting point is 00:53:11 pick which scent you want to be the girls on patreon were talking about it actually and they recommended secure uh rose or something i don't know but their shower foam oh my god it smells so good and then they do the spray for your room then the candles and the hand wash so everything smells the same you mean like you pick a scent for the house yes oh i like that and then they do the car and everything it's nice when you go into a house and it smells a certain way it is and it's got that but then do you know what i really am not a fan of um the plug-in air freshener they're really bad and also i've got a few friends whose kids have opened them or spilt them on themselves and no they smell too top they smell toxic yeah they do they give public toilet smells
Starting point is 00:53:56 yes and that's not what we want do you know what i love though when you go in a hotel or a gym or somewhere and it's got a certain smell yes did they say don't they that like restaurants and stuff when they're designing it when they're doing part of it is the smell yeah that is like a thing somebody discusses the smell of the restaurant but you know what though i was gonna well i got sent this laundry stuff that like oh that is scented of different perfumes and stuff is it not giving thrush babe the thrush that i got really and one of the girls on patreon the other week said it and then everyone was like yeah me too yeah so maybe you just wash your bedding in it and not your panties not your underwear do we use non-bio i use for my laundry and everyone always says that
Starting point is 00:54:43 my house smells gorgeous of laundry probably because there's always a fucking wash on um i use the fairy pods and the leno spring awakenings together mrs hinch put me onto that and it's nice and then they do the spring awakenings bead things as well i use alt whatever's in aldi i don't i know your kid's not really sensitive not no mine get like eczema no no thea's like me she's like built like a brick shit house you know a good little tip to make your house smell nice um do you have like a fabric sofa so if you get a clean clean cloth um a little bit of hot water and then just mix it with some laundry detergent and then just rub that over the sofa and that does like that makes such a difference to the room yeah i love any cleaning
Starting point is 00:55:34 i follow this girl on instagram who i'm absolutely obsessed with i've sent it to send her to you before is it home with uh rue or something yeah oh and she just cleans her flat she's pregnant now and she's moving but she's like cleans her flat and it's the most like satisfying thing to watch i feel like i live in that flat like i know it so well home with rue i think she's called she's brilliant i feel like home with you would make me feel inadequate no because that's our house it's always messy and then she just does a little speed clean and stuff and it does inspire you to do it i watch it on a saturday morning then i'm like i'm gonna go clean my house not my instagram page of choice but each to their own right and on that note guys we're gonna carry us over to the
