Starting point is 00:00:00 guys hi and welcome to nip tuck not giving a flying fuck hello guys happy wednesday how are you all how are you coping with the change in the weather i feel like this morning um was very it winters hit me this morning like all of a sudden and we had that nice week of sun which was like i knew it was going to be the end and then this morning it was that you know when you wake up and it's semi-dark and it's raining and you're like uh i've got a long day of this it's the school run for me yeah school run in the rain is horrific it is depressing it's bleak it's bleak and you stand there oh god i felt like pretending she was ill and just keeping her off because she did not want to do that school run but here we are she has been ill enough hasn't she she was
Starting point is 00:00:52 off for two days with the sickness bug last week so i felt like saying it'd come back but it hasn't so we're here and i've got one of those days you know when i don't get me wrong it's great i'm not going to an off you know an office job that i hate or anything like that but um but i'm talking or any job that i hate i'm talking to you for a few hours i'm going to pilates and then i'm going to the garage with my car oh mine's in the garage at the minute what have you done no it needs a service i've not done anything um and it's just one of those i don't want to go don't you get a range rover again yeah i've had no problems with it it's just due a service the only problems i have with it is my tires are expensive they're expensive aren't they but any big car i feel
Starting point is 00:01:37 like your tires are really expensive i've got speed awareness on thursday are you going to the center oh no no so uh you need to be careful with this right because i nearly got kicked out of mine they are very strict with your phone or anyone coming into the room so when i did mine i sat like i am now i set my laptop up i had my phone next to me do you know like now you can't see but i'm on my phone but it shows a little bit more and i kept doing this you're like when you're in class and you're like yeah and the guy was like he can turn everyone off except you so he kept turning everyone off and going lauren i can tell you're on your phone i was like he said if that happens again i'm going to kick you out and then the kids came upstairs as well and i was going
Starting point is 00:02:22 like this and he's like have you got people in the room and i was like no and he kept saying so you need to you need to be in a room on your own and if you're going to use your phone you need to be very careful because it's that time you sat there for two hours think of the work you could do like it's so hard not to sit and do your work three hours oh it it's not nice it's not pleasant and you have to answer p and i kept giggling it's just and it's what is quite funny though is the other people that are on it because you get some random random characters and you can't do it and they can't do it properly um and then you get like younger ones who you can't make eye contact with because you know you're gonna laugh so you'll say something you're both like when no
Starting point is 00:03:02 one's looking you both like this each other but yeah so when's that um on thursday well that'll be exciting for you and we've got quite a busy week next week actually you know this week is it this what day is it i've i'm gone i don't know we're in liverpool on friday we are um right so so so so let's start by having a little update i want to know as much as you can tell us about the wedding you looked absolutely gorgeous the dress was beautiful really really gorgeous um i would lend it you but it's absolutely been worthy now you know what i thought you were going to say then i would lend it you but it won't fit i was waiting for it i was like um yeah david coma number very expensive very nice though can you not resell it have you fucked it oh it's ruined
Starting point is 00:03:52 how it's a black dress i'll do a video for patreon of how it's got a fag burn in the mesh oh in the mesh they they honestly all you need is a flick of ash and the mesh is gone then it's got rips in the um lining how what were you doing because i had those really tiny thin heels on and it's quite long so i think my foot just kept catching in it then my tennis bracelet has ripped it all at the side oh pulled the um i pulled it to be fair i'm gonna take it into golden stitches and just say just do what you can do what you can you know my wedding dress um can we get a video of that yeah it's got a hole in it it's ripped um it's fucked it's i've just put my veil in the bin actually because that's fucked as well i don't know what well i was gonna say i don't know what
Starting point is 00:04:44 i was doing with it but actually i do it was you it's filthy so i just i just popped that in the bin this morning i'm not um are you like a keeper do you keep are you quite what's the word there's a word yeah sentimental are you sentimental same do you have anything from the kids the kids no i've got a little hat you know those horrible hospital ones that pink and white stripe i've got that and i've got just one little outfit that's it her tooth's in the bin um like anything her hair don't know ed's mum took brought his memory box around did you see the picture of him no it had his belly button in it and everything james's mum kept all their belly buttons right i suppose she came around yesterday and we were talking about this and i was like have you still got them she's
Starting point is 00:05:30 like no i kept them for 20 odd years and then in covid i did a clear out and thought why have i got this belly button and bin them all i was like what's the point in like i don't think they give you the belly button anymore you just go home with the clip on and a lock of hair what for for what when i just i'm not like that my wedding dress i don't feel any need to keep that like i'm just i don't have anything it's scary this whole like phone thing yes one day if you're gonna lose your phone yeah no like not good so i was again talking to james's mum about this and we were saying as much as you don't sit necessarily and do it if my mum was to get like the old you know the flip where you open the book oh i love it i love going through photos and there's all photos now if
Starting point is 00:06:18 fear said to me in how many years can i look well there's one number one there's a chance i've lost my phone because or something's happened it's been wiped i've got a new laptop it didn't move over whatever it might be and i would have nothing i'll lose my instagram god forbid you know on my facebook i lost my facebook it got hacked about two years ago all my pictures were on there so what would we show them so what i'm gonna do is you know those coffee table books megan does this and they're white and they're absolutely gorgeous she's got them lined up and it's like um one year name first year and she's got about 10 now so she'll get them for like people's birthdays and christmases that's what i do so every year for my mum this is a good present idea guys if you're not
Starting point is 00:07:04 sure every year for my mum i get her one of those with pictures of her and thea throughout the year i've done it since i think i forgot last year so she's probably pissed off about that i've done it since she was a baby um so i'm going to start doing that i'm going to do some wedding ones like thick you know coffee table ones and then i'm going to get all the pictures of the kids any companies that do that there is there's loads i was going to try and get one free actually and then forgot uh papier papier papier do it they're quite expensive but i was going to try and get them to do it for free for me you've just reminded me um but i think it's a really good idea to go on your phone it doesn't even have to be like expensive just get a book get them all printed
Starting point is 00:07:43 out of all the pictures of your kids and then if there's anything that you lose no stress like not the other world i send ed's grandma like 20 pictures on that snapfish app oh yeah that's really easy really easy and really affordable so you go on it's like this little app called snapfish and you just select like the little normal size photos and you have the address already saved there don't you just and then i tap it and done and she loves it so much you can actually do that to prison how do you know that oh my god oh i've got loads of friends and people that know things like that but you know you can so say you've got like people have boyfriends in prison or brothers whatever i don't know not everyone but and you can go on there put like the address of the thing
Starting point is 00:08:27 and like i've got friends that every month send their partner or whatever all the pictures nudes i think they check them so i don't think nudes no i was thinking more of the kids but they're allowed to read like porn in prison aren't they i think it just has to be checked i don't know if anyone knows the deal with sending nudes to prisoners can you get in touch yeah also i one of my friends told me that when um a certain point of prison you can go in and shag them in spain so in spain they have actual con con something rights and it basically means that everyone deserves a shag con oh it's going to annoy me now i bet christina knows the word conge something right okay conjugal visits every four to eight weeks in spain told you so every four to eight
Starting point is 00:09:19 weeks so my if i was in spain and my husband going in the trench coat yeah i would be purposely trying to get my partner in prison because you can still shag them every four weeks they don't make a mess they're out of your way like anyway yeah so that's in spain so there's an interesting in fact for you all i was watching a tiktok of this girl who'd got pregnant while a partner was like serving life in prison good idea because he sent her the the sperm what that's got to be in america yeah it was in america yeah so anyway back to the dress you look gorgeous your hair look nice your makeup look nice tell us tell us as much as you can about this event it was a no social media event i was told that from the beginning okay why i mean i don't know i think
Starting point is 00:10:07 just like we're gonna come on to that aren't we yeah because we we had a little chat about that this morning and we've got a few views on it ourselves haven't we and you know like your wedding for example i would never i've got something to tell you too about this i've got something to tell you i would never post a picture of the bride before she posted a picture i think that that is an unwritten mean girl behavior now someone got married recently and they had a massive stunning stunning wedding someone that we both know i'm gonna whisper the name i think i know it's gonna be yeah i thought it would be her she looked beautiful and another girl came to the wedding i'll i'll send you the pictures wearing a white lace dress full on went to the wedding
Starting point is 00:10:57 as a guest in a white lace dress yeah no come on posted a picture of her before before i can't even get my head around anybody thinking yeah that would be okay like when i said when i got married like create i don't actually mind but you just wouldn't you just wouldn't and then to then take a picture and put it up of yourself in a sim like what send your stories in on stuff like this guys because it's a great debate to have and you know you might do like a video of the room and the bride might be somewhere yeah yeah and that happens yeah but not like no it's her moment is and also that whole like getting married you want to be stood there in the right like like you don't want someone to see you when you're not ready because you've you've got this
Starting point is 00:11:45 dress and you want it right i think i was in the background of a few and i wasn't asked about that but i was like don't let me have that minute where i put up my dress exactly and i i totally agree with that so friday so friday so say what it was like tell us it was ed's dad's and stepmom's 10 years of marriage celebration good on them well done it wasn't like a vow renewal it was just like a celebration of yeah it was amazing so i actually was at their wedding that's mental isn't it and i met where did you get married at coleshore hall oh yeah um was it massive was it like spectacular yeah it was stunning yeah um and i met a lot of the people that were there for the first time at that wow and then now at the five hour renew you're like thought you'd got rid of
Starting point is 00:12:35 me i know i am 10 years later so yeah it was really nice they rented out grantly hall so we all stayed over so they rented out the full entire grantly hall yeah it was amazing you know when you get married there when people get an actual do you rent it out then on so i was with kelly louise yesterday oh yeah um because she was setting up for a friend's little girl's first birthday and i was asking her all i bet you were a question she'd be a really good guest actually to get on or like someone that does wedding plans because and party planning so find it so fascinating um and she was saying yeah that uh grantly hall's like one of her favorite venues to do weddings at because i don't know whether you normally have to hire the whole thing for a wedding i don't
Starting point is 00:13:28 think you do i don't think you do i think you hire the room and however many rooms you want but i didn't know there was a nightclub in grantly hall i don't think i did yeah there is so then what was it like what did you do was it a party party was the food like yeah it was like party party so you got we got there and we had drinks on you know that top floor bit where all the rooms are yeah the orange room yeah oh very nice very nice um then we went back to our rooms got changed for the evening oh there was like look performances throughout the day um then had food then um some entertainment then we went in the night clubby bit then that closed and then we were dancing on the tables in the reception bit no well you could there's no one else there yeah and we went to bed
Starting point is 00:14:25 at half four oh and that's late the next day that's really late for our age group but it just i don't know where the day went yeah it was really fun it just carried on it looked really good but we were just talking about the social media thing lauren weren't we and nights out yeah so we were saying there's a restaurant that we would both like to try um i've forgotten what it's called louis louis it looks really nice it where is it it's in spinning fields it's opposite the ivy oh near where we used to work lauren right okay yeah and one of the policies there is that you can't take photos so would that mean like even say of your food or of your yeah no i don't think you're allowed well people are because i've seen them yes i saw someone post some pasta yesterday
Starting point is 00:15:19 so same and it looked nice it looked very nice i nearly replied like marks out of 10 i thought i don't know you that well i'm not gonna um but yeah so it's basically saying that you can't take pictures right so there's live music and entertainment i have heard but i don't know how true this is there's only two sittings five o'clock and half nine oh right okay and then there's like a show on so it's like a cabaret yeah write in your reviews guys and tell us yeah we were saying lauren weren't we like i feel like that sexy fish in manchester every every sunday morning i wake up to see the same people have been on the same night out dancing around with a sparkler and it just i'm like okay done what now like so the only thing i would say about that
Starting point is 00:16:08 is actually in manchester right now i don't feel like there's if i i don't go out anymore but if i was to go out in manchester people often ask me for recos on insta and stuff and i'm like you're asking the wrong person hun i don't go out but where even is the like say you wanted a night out that involved a bit of food and then some dancing where are you going peter street kitchen's my personal favorite restaurant but is that why because we don't try new places ever lauren yeah so and where's the dancing where do you go for the dancing i then for afterwards for our older people like us there's that um schofield's bar then there's that 186 186 looks a bit of me i've never been i've nearly been a few times uh but that looks a vibe doesn't it yeah that's live
Starting point is 00:17:01 music isn't it um well i wouldn't uh 20 stories or something it's not a dance so this is why i do get why people go to sexy fish because you've got it's a bit rough because you've got like your meal and then you want to have a dance somewhere but you don't want to go to a night club like i'm not going to china white is that even still a thing i was in there a few weeks i was in there after listen i would i'm saying this after a drink i'd go anywhere but i just mean where are you going to have a nice dance for us at least with sexy fish because i've only been once you go you eat and then you can have a dance you can like and then go home i don't feel like there's many other places there are bars oh um is it called deer sailor or hay sailor yeah deer
Starting point is 00:17:47 sailor and then there's that new one raft yes so uh does my mum listen to this no so um we are go in there for her raft right do a sunday dinner but it's a carvery but it's a high-end carvery so it's not like it's not like what's it called you it's more like what's that hotel called toby carvery it's not a toby carvery what's the nerd vibe yeah so you go and it's it's um you can get as much as you want it's like it looks stunning and you can pick what you want but it's like high-end it looks gorgeous so we're actually going there's a private dining room in there and my mum is 17 in October so we're gonna hire the dining room and have like a Sunday roast there for her it's supposed to be really really good but yeah I feel like no phone thing back to
Starting point is 00:18:38 the no phone thing right so I am gonna be really honest here if I didn't take pictures would I even go out don't know so for example this weekend we are going to lucky cat we're taking james's sister and sister-in-law because they were mega helpful to us um at the wedding and we were like let's go for dinner yes i'll go and i'll enjoy it but part of it is i've got an outfit that really needs wearing and i really i never really need a picture in it otherwise it's going to go to waste not that asked about that it's work for me like my insta still needs to keep relevant in some way and i feel like when you put in nice outfit yours is very outfit focused you do really well on your outfits i'm more like everyday little skin bit yes that's much easier and don't get me wrong
Starting point is 00:19:28 i'm very rarely post outfits now but i do think a nice picture with a gorgeous outfit on does well it looks good you get you know it does well for work so i feel like it's hard and i dread it but i've got like a couple of outfits from zara that i bought online too late to send back and if i don't go out i'm not going to wear them yeah but you have to buy them because in case you go out so yeah i was thinking about it i was thinking if i if i went out didn't take one picture one selfie one outfit picture no content for the gram would i even be arse going no probably not i am really bad with taking pictures if you're single as well that is your showreel if you are i know it's whether it's right or wrong if you are single and you are hoping to attract
Starting point is 00:20:16 men or women it's your portfolio now if you never go anywhere what are you putting on the ground how are you showing the right it's drying up how are you showing the men who follow you how fit you look like exactly do you know what i mean so i think you have to go out as a single girl you have to get the bomb pictures because you need him to text you back go out get the pictures come home come on did you watch the um Anthony Joshua fight unfortunately yeah I had to it was on in the living room and I couldn't get away from it I was such a bitch I hate watching sport I don't mind boxing uh I don't really I don't care like did you watch it no what happened with you going to sunny federa as well so basically what happened is when how long ago what six seven
Starting point is 00:21:13 eight months ago you bought us four tickets me you james and ed we're gonna go to sunny right always and we would have gone if i hadn't have had that wedding all you know we would have gone then ashley had a wedding so she knew that she wasn't gonna be able to go so we were gonna sell the tickets um and i'd obviously just got back from the wedding and we had the kids so i was like no i'm not going i'm not going not going and then i thought lauren i must have been it must have been sunny i must have heard a good song and i must have been in a good mood and i thought do you know what around james you live once you live once why do we not just take this opportunity have some fun together and he was like yeah yeah we both love him i love him so yeah so we're like
Starting point is 00:21:53 right we're gonna do this so we got child care both sides got child care sorted yeah good we're gonna go we're gonna go then as the days got closer i was thinking i don't want to go i can't be bothered i don't want to hang over we've got did you get anxiety it's like getting anxious right we've got the saturday we were out with the kids from 10 a.m big walk and pub lunch and everything i was thinking do i want to do that with ulcers in my mouth and i was just like thought about it and then i found out that he didn't come on until 1 30 a.m i took no i told yeah i was like if you checked what time i thought right because i'm not a ravey person i'm not i thought like the admission was 10 30 last admission i thought i'd go it'd be on at like half 11 i
Starting point is 00:22:36 thought fine i'll go i'll have a few drinks a little dance dance to sunny for a couple of hours i'll be home for one he didn't even come on the fucking stage until 1 30 what the hell how is anybody meant to stay awake until then well well and also no but also right i didn't know who was on before him i don't like house music i only like his music with singy songy words in that i can put my finger in the air too uh yeah i don't like this stuff so i thought i could potentially be there for three hours doing a side step and a two-step to music that i don't like so when we're in bed i said to james like looking forward to sunny we both just went silent and he was like do you want to do you want to go and i was like i don't want to go he's like me neither
Starting point is 00:23:19 so we sold the tickets and we didn't go so there you go i'm going to black coffee though in october i didn't even know what black coffee was until you said it the other day what is it did you know black coffee only has one arm oh it's a man oh my god yeah i thought it was a an event a night i thought black coffee was like um he is a man and he djs with one arm that's really how amazing is that i was literally why do you think he only has one arm i'm gonna google it i think one is paralyzed maybe googling it black coffee um but that's what makes him so amazing babe is that he's only got one arm and he's like the world's best dj at the minute oh so he's got an arm babe it's just paralyzed yeah that's what i just said i thought he didn't have an arm at all no he uses
Starting point is 00:24:06 one arm so i thought black coffee was a night i thought it was like um i'm going to warehouse yeah it's a night at high but he's the dj just him yeah dj black coffee yeah and what does he sing um but like guys let's not get into this just have a look at black coffee top songs on spotify okay right so we i think we've got our point across that we have had enough now of going out that summertime vibe is gone all of the weddings are out the way i did feel like that yesterday i was like right i've not got anything now booked in and i'm ready to hunker hunker down how nice is it to not have anything in your diary oh my god the best i really get a hard-on over that nothing same and um yeah the weather is now absolutely tragic i'm just ready for like cozy
Starting point is 00:25:06 times the pumpkin spice latte is on the menu that's when you know that it's time i do like i don't i don't like rain but apart from rain i actually don't mind this season because i like to go to bed i like to be in my pajamas at well six earlier as soon as i get in and i feel like as soon as i get in yeah but i feel like in the summer you feel a bit of a dick doing that whereas in the winter it's fine whereas in the summer I'm like I should be out taking the kids to the park that's the other thing right in the summer I have terrible mum guilt when it's sunny that I could be taking Thea to the park right now I hate the park by the way whereas when it's winter I think oh it's raining I can't take her anyway and I feel much better so I feel quite
Starting point is 00:25:50 happy to stay indoors and I think but also the kids actually like staying in sometimes Thea's very much like me I think it depends on your child really my friend her little boy Sparrow likes to be out and about thank god it's not mine because thea is like me she likes to be snuggly cozy little routine cup of tea yeah we like to be cozy at home so nighttime routines now i tell you what else we're moving into now guys we're moving into skincare period peels lasers lasers that type of surgery anything that's going to require no sun downtown no flying all that kind of thing we are absolutely moving into that period now yeah definitely so nighttime routines like you said lauren i feel like i can start them quite early on so i get home from work and i take all my makeup
Starting point is 00:26:43 off say three four o'clock oh yeah soon as i get in i'm not sitting there with it on i'll tie my hair back i'm i try and have a hair mask in for a couple of days a week as well um at the minute so like this morning i woke up and i knew we were recording so i took all like did a full cleanse and then i've put on the peptide mask just for a few hours because also our skin's gonna start drying out with the change in weather and the um car fuel heating all of it like opposite to air whatever it is central heating all of that jazz and one tip as well girls that i can share is put a bowl of water underneath your radiator what does that do really helps with not drying your skin out all right okay runs and buys a bowl of water um no i agree i think now is the time
Starting point is 00:27:39 for resurfacing skin moisturizing really really good nighttime routines overnight masks if you suffer with pigmentation now is the time to start dealing with it because you unless you've got winter holiday but because the uv rays are going to start coming down it's a good time i will be having probably next week i'm going to have a big ass peel because while i was away although i didn't burn once although i wore a cap although i had factor 50 on i have the type of pigmentation that comes out from heat not skin um not just skin uv contact it comes from heat what a bastard so i only have to be my heat when my skin heats up it gets pigment so i'm gonna have a big fuck off peel at skin address probably next week i've not had a flaking off peel for so long um and i'm
Starting point is 00:28:27 gonna do some form of laser but i don't know what i'm gonna photo fab my chest and arms and get rid of any sun damage off my chest and arms and i'm just gonna winter is the time now to get your skin where you want it to be that's why you're having an op i guess as well it's a good time to be doing it now isn't it and healing exactly definitely and also i feel like winter is time for that self-development as well um in winter especially i like my little routine of going to the spa at the gym a couple of times a week infrared sauna cryo beauty light therapy all of that it's almost like do you know when you are a what what comes what you know when it comes out into a cat is it a caterpillar that turns into a butterfly yeah a cocoon i feel like through the
Starting point is 00:29:20 winter you're a cocoon and then for summer you're like bam here i am so i've written down some books because everyone's into the kindles at the minute have you seen no yeah like loads of my friends have got kindles to be fair i might add one onto my christmas list you don't have time to read but i don't i do not read no no no um and you can get like really cute cases for them and stuff and supposedly you can get kindle unlimited where you can get like as many books on it that's really good for a subscription reading books or even listening to books is so important and i should maybe i should make that but if i've got a spare hour there's never an hour that i think i haven't got other stuff to do do you know that's like important so it's good for your mind it stops
Starting point is 00:30:09 your mind from wondering i think it's i think you can learn a lot and if there's certain things you want to learn about as well now is the time listen to business books if you're in a certain industry listen to books by other people from that industry take as much knowledge in as you can i mean i don't but you should which books are you like so these ones got voted the um the top books for women in their 30s do you want me to go through them this is one that i'm starting with that we promote all the time we should be on a commission we really should be on a commission why men love bitches good just do you know what i know it's about men but i just think in general that attitude it's not just men it's like other people like how to deal with everyone have you
Starting point is 00:30:53 read this one lauren that everyone goes on about the 5 a.m club no but it sounds like one i'd quite like or is it is it preachy preachy I don't know I've not read it yet I'd love to hear what you guys think of it but the the strap line on here is own your morning to elevate your life do you know what that's so true like 5am I'm up anyway usually with a child but if you're not and you don't have kids what a great like two hours to get your stuff done I totally agree I find that especially with me because I'm quite hectic anyway if you get up before the kids or if you've not got kids whatever you have got say five till seven because most people get up I think about half six seven maybe seven let's say you've got two hours where the rest of the world
Starting point is 00:31:41 is asleep nobody's bothering you no one's irritating you you've got that time then to prepare yourself for the day so that what because one of the things I'm really guilty of is doing three things at once and doing none of them very well um so I'll be with fear but I'll also be trying to work and i'll also be trying to do the dishwasher and none of them get done um so if that two hours you can think right what needs to be done today what can i clear and then you can be present in the moment for the rest of the day right list them off yeah just get the house ready but i'm always a bit i've said this before i'm a huge advocate of the night before before you go to bed if you want a good day the next day you have no washing up in that sink you that kitchen
Starting point is 00:32:22 is tidy clean everything is put away the living room the cushions are back to normal the toys are away the kids uniforms are out underwear socks all in a pile your own stuff is ready like i even put a mug out with my coffee in it like if you want a stress-free life then you've got to do those kinds of things and then get up in the morning spend two hours with work or whatever you need to do and then the rest of your day is much easier right attached is another book that's been recommended here this says here the science of adult attachment and how it can help you find and keep love that is really really interesting lauren i'm gonna post all of these on patreon after recording and see if any of the girlies have read i think that attachment one could be
Starting point is 00:33:11 extremely good for a lot of women because a lot of us have attachment issues which is why we end up with the wrong men so next one sorted atomic habits i've seen i've seen that it says tiny changes remarkable results agree an easy and proactive way uh to break to build good habits and break bad ones this one sounds very good for us oh god go on this one is called women who think too much how to break free of overthinking and reclaim your life i don't do that mate that's you that is you i don't think about something once it's happened i will not think about it again and the last one here is emotional detox seven steps to release toxic toxicity and energize drugs love that they sound like really really good anyone could benefit from that do you know
Starting point is 00:34:13 what you've almost taught me in to reading the kindle you've taught me into perhaps listening i would if i was going to pick any it would be atomic habits and probably the 5am one healing is the new high oh a guide to overcoming emotional turmoil and finding freedom very important girls if you're not happy or you're stuck in a shit situation now is the time to work on yourself you're never going to find a good partner you're never going to get a good relationship if your head's fucked this one here um forgiving what you can't forget you need to do that the princess saves herself in this one okay um start with why i've seen a lot of people reading that one start with why yeah like why are you doing things that's very good to learn about
Starting point is 00:35:04 yourself yeah really good and that one the daily stoic what does that mean we'll say that one's really good it's um i mean fuck this but it sounds like someone clever sounds like clever like stoic i'm gonna do you know like when you're younger you'd see people like on the bus reading a book are you gonna get it and then i'm gonna get it and put something behind it with these secretary glasses reading the daily story the daily snowboard hey guys i saw ashley stobart she was drinking pumpkin spice latte and reading the daily story inside it you'd have had something like an old heat magazine yeah um oh by the way that one arrived i'm saving it to bring into the studio oh my god i cannot wait this um girl has put a pdf of a book in patreon and it's called
Starting point is 00:35:56 what men don't want women to know oh this the secrets the lies and the unspoken truth and it says here what it's what it covers in it is life at the office business tricks deny deny deny masturbation oh prostitutes and your man how excited does this yeah we need to read it i wonder who wrote bachelor party we need to see who wrote it though before we like your man and his money oh it's written by anonymous i bet it is i fucking bet it is can't even admit what i'm so excited for this you may have seen a lot of pictures of us lately scantily clad so we had a rebrand um and we've made a great big fuss over it on instagram haven't we and you might see that our um thumbnail thing
Starting point is 00:36:50 has changed so when you search when you search us our thumbnail so our thumbnail is now a new glossy picture rather than the old one that we had and i do feel like it looks much more like us i mean not us on a month not us on a monday morning granted um us on a glam day and i really like it do you i love it yeah like it's so much more us and i you know i think you should expect that once a year every 18 months from us now what do you think i think so i mean it depends how much we change in appearance we have loads of stuff done so if we look different we'll need another picture won't we so a rebrand just means a facelift of a business all your little thumbnails all your instagram polishing it up when brands work with us they've got a nicer cleaner pictures
Starting point is 00:37:43 and all that type of thing so that's why we did it and i do really like it and i think we are going to try and invest more into our instagram looking how it should because you know we want to we're a business now so that side of it needs to look good and we have all these meetings and stuff now don't we we do and we're gonna try and get um a lot more content out for you guys that isn't just podcasts you know especially on patreon we've got that unbelievable platform we hit a big milestone with patreon today and honestly i couldn't be prouder of the community that we've created on there it's so much fun isn't it yeah it's it's it is i'm really really proud of it like when it started it started almost just as to put the bonus on just a little extra on there and then all of a
Starting point is 00:38:31 sudden it's actually turned into like a community and even if we're on it all the time like don't get me wrong but even if we're not for whatever reason you don't need us all the time because everyone else helps you you like girls have you tried this and we might not have done but one of the thousands has so there's like a really good community yeah it's it's i really really like it it feels a very positive place so one thing that we do want to do like i said is more content so more out and about with us because i feel like you hear us on the pod you see our stories separately you see bits and bobs but just the stuff that we get up to like the random shit like meetings and just bits and bobs of our day and whatever we do always ends up being funny because something
Starting point is 00:39:11 always happens so even stuff that you want us to review as well because you know we're always very honest in our opinions on things aren't we absolutely i did um i posted the other day my wedding makeup breakdown and i have bought everything off it but i've not used it on myself yet i put it on patreon yeah the full product breakdown of i asked rebecca to literally send me like step by step and i've ordered it all whether i will be able to do it the same i don't know but some of the products on there were actually really really good and really interesting i love like what so i've never used any fenty products yeah it's brilliant i just haven't used it i'll be honest whenever somebody brings out a brand that's like a celebrity or musician i
Starting point is 00:40:02 automatically assume it's going to be shite i just do i think well that's not your area so i just assume it's not going to be good and it's more selling it because it's rihanna however i'm wrong the primer was fantastic and the lip gloss is fantastic the other thing and gloss bomb yeah i've had that for years it's fun yeah see i've never the other thing is um dior face and body she uh yeah in the yeah i've just ordered that in shade two she said and listen to this one that i would never ever you probably would have but i would never have bought kylie foundation i've heard her um blush is really good as well i again being skeptical would have been like kylie jenner makeup and not interested it's gonna be shit foundation don't believe you
Starting point is 00:40:55 she was rebecca was raving about it and she does makeup all day every day really why why why she just said it's really good it's blurring on the skin it's really hydrating um so i have ordered some there's loads of colors as well so there's that and what else did she use that oh makeup forever so i've used bits of that liners are gorgeous expensive so you cannot be losing them on a night out but yeah there was loads of stuff there's quite a lot of hourglass stuff in there there was loads of stuff i've written it all down for you anyway but yeah i think stuff content like that is really helpful for people and it's helpful for us as well to try stuff isn't it yeah if you have anything so lauren i've got an update for you on my product tell us i'm gonna
Starting point is 00:41:42 be really honest and open with you guys i am hoping to launch on the 10th of october at 10 a.m yep 10 10 10 love that 10 10 10 10 shit happens there's a lot of stuff that needs to be done what kind of stuff my own website ah yes why is that not done though is it just like a long thing no it is done it's all my pictures need editing that are getting dropped into right um but to be fair at the beginning it doesn't need to be all singing all dancing people just want to go on and press checkout i want to make my website really real and honest so what i'm doing now is every month i'm asking for case studies i'm getting a shitload of products sent out to normal people with genuine skin concerns free of charge i'm sending it to them all i'm asking for
Starting point is 00:42:39 in return is before and after pictures and honest reviews so what i want to do is build a massive catalog and be like this is this type of skin yeah 25 these were the concerns these are results and honest did you see that picture gorgeous so that's out 10 10 10 all being well all being well perfect um it's in my diary actually and yeah 10 to 10 to 10 10 10 and then we saw molly may did her store um opening thing didn't she i don't know if i'm gonna do anything like that you know i honestly think it's a waste of money it's i don't i don't see talking to steph about it i don't really see the value it brings actually it gets hype but you can hype on insta without the cost of of a physical event i don't know i'm i'm not sure they're actually worth as much as we
Starting point is 00:43:36 think they are to the brand and you spend a fortune on them maybe do it halfway down the line or something like a six month or to get things moving again when you bring a new product i'd rather send the product out to normal people this is what i'm saying so you spend x amount on an event what's that bringing back to the business i mean don't get me wrong guys of course you know once i've had the launch i will be sending the product to my influencer friends and all of that but my thing is i would rather instead of at this point where i'm at spending 10 grand on an event for you know yeah send 10 grand worth of products out exactly like i agree i completely agree i think that's just the easier way to do it but i get for molly may why she did it because it's
Starting point is 00:44:24 slightly different when it's clothing people want to see it touch it feel it like they want that experience from it whereas i feel like a product slightly different with that i don't know um So you're hoping that everything will be done, dusted ready. Are we talking about your surgery? Because that's in a few hours, mate. She's going, right, we're sat here, by the way, chit-chatting as normal. She's going to be in a general anaesthetic in a few hours.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Like, what the fuck? Yeah. Are you going to wait? So what we did with your face is we waited until you'd... We're going to do all of that, yeah. Completely have it done. We've had the operation by now. Leave it with me, gals.
Starting point is 00:45:03 leave it with me i will tell you if i'm happy or if i'm not like so yeah i'm having a little operation do you want to say the area of it on the eye area area and we all need eye area operations jesus especially after 30 jesus um but yeah i'll document everything and put it on patty and i'll answer all of your individual will you take some pictures ashley as well like like i'm absolutely take everything and do a blog i'm gonna do a little blog starting from when we finish this record perfect the reason that ashley does i mean i've got anything done lately but when i do i'd be the same we're happy to talk about it absolutely no problem but it's almost like let me just get it done let me heal and then let me talk about it and i'll tell you if i like it or not
Starting point is 00:45:49 because all it would take is for us to say i'm having xx with xx and then you may three weeks later say you didn't like it but people have already heard you mention it and they may go and book it based on that so this is the thing are you gonna say where you got it what what you thinking no i don't think i don't know i just listen honestly every you know i hope everything goes well and i'm happy as usual we've you know researched a lot and i'm going somewhere that i think people will just know where maybe you could leave some clues yeah but at the same time like you know someone posted um a picture i saw yesterday it was like i've just had a facelift um and someone commented on it are you would you recommend and they were like yeah a hundred percent
Starting point is 00:46:36 but it hadn't even healed yeah you can't say i know i've had stuff done before and then it's like all gone tits up a few weeks later yeah you can't recommend until it's healed and you know that you're in a decent position with it you can't say straight after the op you just cannot you can say you were happy with the service and care up to that point you can't talk about the results i am i really i could do with a few i've got a little list of a few bits and bobs to do i'm gonna see how you get on and then i will probably go and see where you are and have a little consultation for eyes exactly but yeah guys we have talked a lot today we do that sometimes also guys if you do want to listen to extra episodes we do an extra one every week they're over on apple subscribe
Starting point is 00:47:23 and on patreon as well all right bye guys
