Starting point is 00:00:00 Guys, hi and welcome to Nip Tuck Not Giving a F**k. So, we have got a guest that I have literally wanted for so, so long. We have got one of my favourite people. This is a big one. This is a big one. It's big. Ever. Even my mum again, my mum's big and if my mum knows it's quite big.
Starting point is 00:00:24 She is honestly, like, such a strong, opinionated, but in a good way. And I agree with, I would say, 95% of her opinions. Which helps. Which helps. I've been to see her live. You quote her stuff as well. I quote her and I always reference. I go, well, she said, so we've got Katherine Ryan.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Do you know what? I haven't told a lot of people because we try and keep things quiet but who I have told have been like what
Starting point is 00:00:56 you she's coming on and my mum was really impressed and she's impressed by nothing nothing so
Starting point is 00:01:06 you should Liz Harris is impressed with you yeah good so thank you hi Liz thank you
Starting point is 00:01:12 so I was at your show what was that like four weeks ago I think so I think you were coming to the show oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:01:19 can I just say guys if you like want because i took ed i took my husband with me and he is like a proper like boring golf man isn't he that's the way we describe him lovely man um and i took i took him with me to stockport to see her and he was like in the car on the way home like let's put a podcast on now like he absolutely loved it converted and i would say there was a there was quite a lot of men there i know really people really underestimate my demographic yeah elderly couples i get single straight men going in groups to my show what that's amazing they're smart to do
Starting point is 00:01:59 that because they can learn a lot and maybe meet women and they want to get the course make sense yeah mostly gay men i won't lie but i think um yeah the times are changing and i don't hate men i've been accused of that in the past like she hates them it's not that i hate them but in my experience they have the ones i've experienced yeah useless and exploitative yeah so yeah like what can i say you just you've just spoken about your experience and if they were dicks they were dicks yeah and i think they do it in a fun way yeah which i think is about we're similar aren't we but it was a great show so have a look um at katherine's instagram it will say her tour dates on there and if you're thinking of a fun girls night boys night or date night i'm telling you
Starting point is 00:02:42 out and i love the fact that her show starts bang on eight o'clock and finishes bang on 9 45 so you're done you're home by like half 10 right people want to know what's happening i have been trapped and i use the word very poignantly in musicals theatrical performances comedy shows and i go i just don't know when this is going to end no and that makes me enjoy it less and it makes it feel longer yeah so i don't have a support a lot of people would give an opportunity to an up-and-coming comedian let them open for half an hour not me no i keep all the money for myself yeah i go on abm yeah well no because it's quite long though isn't it it's quite there's a break in the middle but still to be on your own no support act that's quite a while but i've been
Starting point is 00:03:27 doing stand-up for 20 years and i feel like just flies the end bit was incredible well is incredible so as part of katherine's show she does a how would we describe it it's like a dilemmas yeah section i'm like an agony ant on my podcast and so i feel like i can solve some problems leave every town and city better than i found it well you had a bit of an incident though didn't you yeah with them with don caster i've had to uh make some like legal asks before the section now because i tell people i might call on you this is not anonymous if you send me a text I give my number it goes on the big screen yeah and then we turn that house lights up a little bit and we might have a chat about it so
Starting point is 00:04:13 that I can help you solve your dilemma I have you know follow-up questions and I thought it was a joke I should have known better than to read this text out loud luckily the woman is safe and I did follow up with her but she said um I caught my husband cheating on me with my sister on OnlyFans because I was curious I looked at my sister's OnlyFans I recognised his tattoos he was shagging her in her kitchen and he doesn't know that I know
Starting point is 00:04:38 this is my way of letting him know and everyone know that I know and he legged it he got up he was in there he was in there she turns the lights on so when Catherine reads the dilemmas
Starting point is 00:04:50 the man is sat there the shagger she'll go right who was it and they go me and they're really good that's not one to well go on
Starting point is 00:04:57 no so he legged it he was really humiliated obviously yeah and he fucking should have been yeah and it's tricky because you want to take the piss out of him
Starting point is 00:05:04 but then it becomes kind of a dangerous Jeremy Kyle situation we've seen these documentaries about people retaliating yeah so I had to get security involved
Starting point is 00:05:12 to go like find him make sure she had a ride home to make sure there was going to be no retaliation afterwards but I feel like he cheated on his wife in a very public platform
Starting point is 00:05:21 so he got called out on a public platform but he did it on a public platform more people would have seen him on OnlyFans than who saw him every single time have you seen the video of the man we were talking about the other week
Starting point is 00:05:33 the woman in the van have you seen yes so there was there was a bit of debate on that and we've had we spoke about it and i was kind of like shouldn't have done it but there was a couple a little bit of feedback saying that the woman should have had more class and dignity than to post that but again it's a similar situation if he shouldn't have fucking done it in the first place but then the woman gets no i just yeah it's a really sticky it is i'm not saying it's not but do you find a lot of the time the woman ends up you're chasing after the man checking he's okay what you need to do though is there's revenge and there's what you should do and what you have a right to do but then there's also legally protecting yourself and what this woman doesn't
Starting point is 00:06:08 need in addition to the sight of warren and steph in the back of the work van yeah is um she doesn't need this woman to like deteriorate and something bad happens and then we're living in this whole new world of publishing videos like that and lawyers must be just licking their chops yeah because they will go back. Yeah, she's going through enough without then this woman. Well, I think she's been like, allegedly sacked.
Starting point is 00:06:31 But then one of our listeners said, you shouldn't be able to get sacked for sucking dick out of work hours. I would generally agree with that, but I think that his children, their shared children, went to the woman, the mistress's school.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Oh, I didn't know that. And she was their teacher, so allegedly, this is what I read. So it is an overstep. It is much messier than I realized, because we were like ed's never doing pick up again yeah fuck that no no right okay we're going to like get straight into it and do a quick fire round to ease and lubricate everyone up ready i'm very moist ready for today right okay so katherine you are like my number one comedian
Starting point is 00:07:17 female or male doesn't matter i am a female but was it someone that inspired you who's your favorite current or previous yeah well i have peers and colleagues that i count very myself lucky to know now who inspire me all the time and those change and there are so many of them i'm really lucky in this country especially comedians are so nice to each other and they're so talented jimmy carr has been like a mentor of mine for a long time i think he's very funny i think he works hard i love everything about what he does because he could retire if he wanted to he's definitely got enough money properties portfolio all set up but he continues to tour like twice every night he'll do two shows i do one show a night he does you know he sold like a
Starting point is 00:08:03 million tickets to his last tour so i love that about him and he's really kind to other people in the industry um when i started out i loved comedy but i didn't think that i could be a comedian it's not that I thought I wouldn't or I couldn't I just didn't it wasn't in my periphery for myself at all but I would watch late night chat shows I loved the monologue I just loved people taking the piss out of the news and pop culture which I still love so David Letterman and Johnny Carson then I loved Joan Rivers yes she was like a breath of fresh air for me I thought this older woman who's glamorous and mean kind of but I can see where she's coming from and she has a reputation for being a really nice person in real life um before she died having a procedure
Starting point is 00:08:44 by the way that she should have had in hospital but it was in a what i didn't know this yeah so because of her medical history i'm not sure exactly what she was having like a thread lift or she was sedated anyway where it's like not invasive but is invasive yeah enough for her to be sedated but i think it was um you know not general anesthetic but because of her medical history and her age she should have been in hospital but she wasn't and she just never woke up from that procedure i did not know that yeah she died doing what she loved well well yeah and she will have looked well when she died yes but that is really bad you need to you need to be careful of that i know you need to listen to that well there are a lot of places in the uk
Starting point is 00:09:30 that um i don't know if this is true in america it must be i only have experience in the uk where they do procedures like that in their little like special hospital that they built yeah it's quite a new thing it's like a lunchtime operation no also it's for the purposes of saving money for them i personally believe because lauren and i worked in cosmetic surgery for a number of years and we started doing those in clinic procedures and some of this under sedation under sedation and and and the way that it was played out to people was um popping in your dinner break you you know and you're not even put to sleep i'm like put me to sleep please like that's the bit that i but we did witness it and and they would be saying things and and then they wouldn't actually
Starting point is 00:10:20 remember they wouldn't remember that they'd actually felt it it was not good do you remember that girl when she was going like stop have i got a tampon in and yes yeah yeah okay um yeah we've seen all sorts i'm in doncaster all over again yeah um it's a lot so it is a new thing the sedation thing um so and some people prefer that to being put to sleep some people really hate a general not me not me not love it's one of my favorite yeah yeah also we always say that we would like someone to come to our house and every evening put us to sleep i think that women in the 50s as a weight loss tactic would be put into a medically induced coma for a week to lose the weight yeah great idea i know a zen pick now but what a great idea so obviously you've got you
Starting point is 00:11:05 know your peers you're you're around celebrities a lot who is your favorite celebrity oh you can tell us ones you don't like if you know but i'm not gonna put it on you i mean not the fate because I think favorite celebrity is like someone that you like look at as in like I like them but you don't really know yeah someone you've met that's been or someone you've met like people you've met in real life that maybe surprised you or um well before Jimmy Carr's children were born he used to have the most amazing parties like uh who's Brandon Flowers would be there Woody Harrelson would be there um professor steven hawking monica lowinsky i met courtney kardashian at jimmy carr's living room like that he's like the london gatsby it was really fun i don't know
Starting point is 00:11:53 why but i just i can't imagine him having a party steven hawking yes did he try it on with you i tried it on with him because i i saw in the film about him that he's kind of a ladies man yeah he had an affair with his nurse didn't he yeah but then quite hurtfully he just kind of went quiet and then his assistant came up and said oh i'm sorry the professor's tablet has run out of battery he can't talk to you anymore and i was mugged off and i know it because then what a great way to fuck someone off though he truly is a genius but then i googled it and there's a backup battery for the tablet in the chair so the chair is moving the battery is working yeah so he fucked you off he did if the chairs are moving come a knocking yeah oh my god that's absolutely great so you've
Starting point is 00:12:44 met some what tell us about the kardashian um well the incident with courtney was very bad actually because i just come from a podcast i didn't really understand podcasts in their infancy so this would have been maybe i'm guessing like 2016 17 maybe around that time and i was invited on a very urban podcast that was sponsored by tequila and the guys were doing shots of tequila and I was like well I can't take shots but if I have a cocktail that will be fine not fine I was absolutely pissed and I'm not pissed that often I like a drink yeah so I went straight from the podcast to Jimmy's party as soon as I went in I saw Kourtney Kardashian there with Princess Beatrice and I went straight over to her because I thought I knew this woman because I'm so invested yeah
Starting point is 00:13:26 in the family and the reality show and I was like Kourtney like you know like she hadn't been returning it's like Courtney Courtney and she was so charming and nice okay I think a lot of these big celebrities are very disarmed at a house party too that's the thing there aren't many people there I said you need to leave Scott and she was right I was right and she said well how can I do that like it's in my house right now and I said burn your house down you're like you can get another house don't go back to the house you need to leave Scott she was like well I don't know like who would I even be with and I was like Prince Harry maybe this is pre Meghan Markle Mountbatten Sussex I said how about Prince Harry because she was in the UK similar as well right both into the
Starting point is 00:14:15 health wellness yeah two royal families uniting yeah um and she was just very charming she was like I don't know I just and I felt for her in that moment because I thought one of the most successful and beautiful women a doting mother who we have seen on a public flat platform just be like routinely humiliated by this man absorbed his shame as her own for so many years she thought she couldn't get anyone else and it's like that better the devil you know like that is such a common theme i think we have a patreon where people write in with things and that is such a common theme where people are scared to leave the partner with because they genuinely don't think that there's anything better out there so they put up with it because they look around and they're
Starting point is 00:14:55 like that's all there is and that's really sad isn't it for someone like that surely she's got got the fucking pick i know and being by yourself by the way is better than being hurt all the time and having that constant anxiety but maybe she knew that she's from a family of man lovers who keep these exes around can you imagine your sisters the chloe and if someone wronged me the way lamar odom or tristan thompson or a list of these men my sisters would cut him yeah yeah and the way that it's they're just invited back in aren't they yeah they're like we love scott yeah and I look you know he is very uh good character I like Scott like not that anyone cares I like Scott if anybody's bothered so quick fire round what's your favorite swear word
Starting point is 00:15:38 well well oh I do like cunt we like it's a shocking word we don't have it in Canada it's not a word in Canada no which is what like you're not allowed to say a fire alarm would go off like people would freak out there isn't a word in England I don't think apart from I would say one and you're gonna have to be proud like nonce nonce that means pedo yeah but that's you can't like it's a lovely word it sounds like we don't we don't have that word either we have to say uncle yeah nonce sounds like upscale to me like a michelin star restaurant yeah have you been to nonce um do you remember you watch real housewives of beverly hills no she's so invested in the Mauricio and oh my god do you remember when Erica Jane are you over him no we're over
Starting point is 00:16:26 I still think he's sexy no do you remember when she wore the cunt necklace yes and they went on a night out and she was trying to be shocking to everyone and she was like what this old thing and they were all like oh no my eyes are burning yeah they don't use that word in North America new new new i like the word pussy yeah if anyone's interested it's fun used in what way like to describe your genitalia or a weak man all the time okay just any opportunity i just think it's quite i quite like the word um tell us do you prefer so obviously you're in the uk uk or canada well right now i had been gone from canada for so long i've lived here for 17 years but now i'm a judge on canada's got talent alongside so actually that's my favorite celebrity
Starting point is 00:17:13 yeah yeah james used to masturbate over her when he was a young boy wow ed's got like an obsession who didn't yeah yeah stunning my dad was obsessed is she that gorgeous yes and i can say on the subject of the podcast i don't have her permission to say this or anything i hope i'm not speaking out of turn but i sit next to her every day and i'm looking but i'm looking for the work i don't believe she's had any she either what but she's always been like it's like she's aged backwards ariana grande size naturally tiny like a little tiny and the hair oh the big gorgeous but i think a lot of us on stage wear hair pieces that's fine but i look and no judgment anything no judgment if she's had work but i've noticed being tagged in posts with her because she looks so gorgeous
Starting point is 00:17:59 and she is nearly 60 I think people say like oh she's done that it's so annoying and I hope I'm not jumping the gun with this but if you reach a certain age where you still look to be the definition
Starting point is 00:18:13 of what's presentable to whatever view in public I don't know how they decide they start to go she's changed look at how cute she used to be when she was young if you were in the public eye
Starting point is 00:18:22 when you were 20 they go this has changed that's changed you've done this you've done that well we've all changed go on my Facebook page jesus she's have a field day but even without work we've changed yeah and then here's this
Starting point is 00:18:33 woman who's still touring who's so funny who's so talented who's an icon an icon not just in canada but worldwide like she doesn't even act like she knows she's one of the like divas of our generation she's so humble but for people to be like she's done this she's done that number one so what if she has but number two i really don't think she actually has no i think she has a brilliant makeup artist and she's got stunning bone structure and i can't see any evidence anything that's incredible like you say whether she has or not doesn't matter but it doesn't matter but it's kind of she gets even more is she really healthy yes yeah there were some green juices kicking about for sure so you've been here for years yeah years what made you come here for
Starting point is 00:19:13 anyone who doesn't know why why were we blessed with you moving here i didn't want to come i had a nice little life in toronto where i lived i had lots of friends i was quite young i was 22 or 23 when i came 23 and i had a boyfriend at the time who was like a massive red flag but i didn't know he was like 35 when i was 23 i know this is why i always tell young women but then what are they gonna do they're gonna date a 23 year old boy who's basically a fetus you're a pedo if you're dating a boy your age so nonsense yeah i don't know if we're gonna you've got to get a booking at nonce yeah um so he was a red flag for a variety of reasons but he wanted to move to the UK and I wasn't quite ready to break up with him and it did sound like an exciting opportunity so
Starting point is 00:20:01 I came temporarily and then I just ended up staying and part of that was because of the comedy circuit I had already dabbled in comedy in Canada I wasn't a professional but at that time and this is what I mean by now I'm not sure which country I love because now that I'm doing Canada's got talent uh there are far more alternative comedians and it's changed but at that time it was very like flannel shirt beer in your hand i hate my wife yeah kind of comedy a lot of it drug based or race based and i didn't fit in and then in the uk i just loved it because you guys are all funny like even if you're a cardiologist you're funny you can be a nursery nurse you're funny everyone's funny we are funny i think you are i'm half canadian are you my mom's from canada
Starting point is 00:20:44 Is she? From where? She was born in Vancouver. Oh, wow. What's she? I don't think I feel like I knew that. Yeah, I've got a Canadian passport and I've never been. Really?
Starting point is 00:20:52 Never. Good on her for getting your passport sorted then. Yeah, I know. Because you never know when they change the rules. Dual passport. So what made you actually get into comedy then? I worked at Hooters. Well, I was going to ask you that, but you've said it now.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Yeah. I loved Hooters. Tell me how that Hooters and comedy. I moved from my very small town where there was no comedy and no Hooters to the big city for uni and i had a different job at a restaurant i worked in um hostessing and waitressing in my hometown which is very lucrative in canada they tip so well in canada i'd make like a thousand dollars a night when i was a teenager it was great not every night but on a good night yeah because i was a competent waitress too i could take a lot of tables it just isn't the um economy
Starting point is 00:21:32 for that here nobody tips anyone i know i moved over here i was like i'll be a waitress wrong yeah um and then I was going to a different job but I got lost because it was pre-smartphones and then I saw a massive Hooters and I was like if I worked at Hooters I'd be at work by now and then that was my thought process I walked in and I was like can I please have a job and I always wanted to be that kind of woman like sweet and gentle and pretty and like a cheerleader it's not considered sex work in North America to work at Hooters it's like being a cheerleader it's a sports bar but I was getting in trouble for my smart mouth and there was a comedy club next to the Hooters and I was like well maybe I'll just do comedy on a Wednesday like
Starting point is 00:22:11 for amateur night and get that part of me out and then I can go to Hooters and be a nice girl but I'm just not a nice girl so did you just walk in and get on stage and think there's a difference between being funny and being able to go on stage on your own and hold an act the two completely different things how did that work and men don't know that they're like I'm funny with my friends yeah that's easy let's hear your five minutes I've got a great story to tell yeah I could never do that so how did you just think I'm gonna get on the stage because that's how funny I am how does that happen um it's not that I had this confidence that I thought I was really funny it was just I was just a very ambitious young woman I was like that is something I would like
Starting point is 00:22:55 to try like I knew it would be pushing myself I knew it'd be a challenge yeah and I liked comedy I always was attracted to it. I loved Sarah Silverman at that time. And I think I understood the math of a joke, the maths, sorry. And I thought, I can write a five-minute set. So I rang up and I left my name on a voicemail, like an old-school answering machine, to list myself for, like, can I please do Amateur Night on Wednesday? You call on a Monday.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Then you ring back and listen to the outgoing message on a Tuesday. And if your name's on it, then you get to do the Wednesday. I know. I'm from, like, the time of dinosaurs. It's fun. And so I just got my five minutes together and then I did it on the Wednesday and it went over okay. And then it's like a bug.
Starting point is 00:23:37 You just want to do it all the time. You don't do it because you think you're going to smash it. You do it because it's so scary. Yeah. So you just think I'm going to try this and see how it goes. And I was anonymous because I lived in this big city. I was from a small town. So I loved that feeling of like everyone knew me in high school.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Everyone knew me growing up. A small town is very incestuous. And now I was like free. If I bombed, it didn't matter. And you didn't tell anyone you were doing it. No, you just went and you were, yeah. You should never tell anyone anything. Yeah, the evil eye.
Starting point is 00:24:09 You're very much in that mindset, aren't you? Yeah, yeah. You like to keep things, you always say, don't you? Until it's happened, don't tell people, that kind of thing. Did you think being a woman made it harder or the same? Because a lot of times people say, oh, it's harder being a woman. Do you think it actually is being a female comedian? Do you think that's harder?
Starting point is 00:24:28 It is harder. like it's definitely harder on paper there were gigs that i would try to get a friend to replace me or i'd try to move around and i started the time they'd be like no like we can't have two women on a bill that's too many women we can't we're not looking for another woman so there would only ever be a spot for one of us and there's been lots of press about me stepping away from mock the week which i didn't do out of spite or anything there's no one i love more than dara o'brien i love the producers on that show that show changed the way that i was able to work people would come to see me on tour because they saw me on mock the week but i knew they would have
Starting point is 00:25:04 one woman they would put us in the same chair and if i was on the show then i was taking the place of not one of my male peers but one of my female peers so i didn't want to do that anymore um i thought it was wrong and i stepped back you know lovingly just to create a place for another space for another woman yeah and then by the end of mock the week i think they had two women but in the beginning it was definitely one um so it is harder the numbers don't match up and then you're fighting with the bias that a lot of audience members have including female audience members where they're like oh women just aren't funny and so that did they actually so many people yeah oh my gosh yeah and it will be women because this is something we talk about quite a lot women
Starting point is 00:25:44 are women are the ones you know we always say don't we we're trying to create this equal thing actually women that are often worse than men for judging other women and no other demographic does that you will never in your life hear a chinese person be like i hate chinese comedians no but women will do it to each other all the time and i i don't blame them for that there is internalized misogyny probably that i have too that it like led me to go get a job at hooters but um i looked at this guy the billboard released a list of the top 10 grossing touring comedians that's like the most money in the year made from selling tickets all 10 were men and the number one guy was nate bergazzi whom i had not heard of and i'm sure you haven't heard of number one he was ahead of jerry
Starting point is 00:26:30 seinfeld never he had made hundreds of millions of pounds um and i thought who's that but not in a rude way yeah and i looked him up he's very funny very well deserved he's very clean comedian loads of people are coming to see him but i've never seen him described as niche and he lists himself as a father and a husband that's his thing i'm a husband and a father well those are two male things and he talks about his wife and he talks about his life and it's it's very relatable to everyone but if i list myself i'm a wife i'm a mother and i talk about my husband she only talks about lady things in her period so i have observed that the male experience is universal we can all relate to a male gaze but the female experience is niche having said that me being different being
Starting point is 00:27:18 a woman being a glamorous woman at least when i started when i was a glamorous mother and a mother and having a canadian accent i do think those were positives for me i think they made me stand out and like i feel that i use those things to my advantage so like in a macro sense being a woman is harder but being me was easier if that makes sense did you experience any particular sort of things that you remember of sexism or at any point because we were talking the other day weren't we about like the me too movement yeah that kind of thing and we were trying to work out whether our age group were we kind of expected to deal with certain things that were in the workplace whereas now they're not and we were trying to work out weren't we whether yes or is
Starting point is 00:28:05 Is it because I'm quite chilled about it? Is it because I've been brought up that way? Or are the new generation a little bit too sensitive? We were trying to work out, have you had anything where you felt uncomfortable with men or what's your take on that? I mean, again, I'm probably raised like you and I also have this disorder.
Starting point is 00:28:22 I remember everything as being fine in my life. Yeah. I really have to go back and when I recount some of the relationships I've been in or some things people go, that's not fine. That was abusive and that was not fine. And I'm like, that was fine, I don't really mind.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Which is great. like no one even knew what gaslighting no no and we were saying that i yeah we're talking about and we're talking about like jokes that have been made to me i've thought were funny and is that and i've kind of given it straight back to them whereas actually it probably isn't but is that because of deep problems we have or is that because the new generation are a bit softer i like the new generation because i remember during the me too movement in 2016 all those older actresses this is what we were talking about like honey that's the hollywood you got to deal with this and I thought how dare they turn their backs on these like younger actresses who
Starting point is 00:29:08 were like 40 saying like no I was mistreated and this was abusive and this was coercive and this was and they're like that's the way it is honey and it's like no you were abused yeah um I mean I have definitely well there's like a very publicized incident with me where I spoke about having to go work on a show with someone whom I believe to be a sex predator because of what women have told me yeah yeah and um you know like the fact that we have to navigate that and we don't want to get in trouble we don't want to say anything but they're allowed to continue to work also i've been in green rooms where very famous male comedians one male comedian uh in particular god this will be like on the paper again i never name anyone but then they're like who could it be
Starting point is 00:29:49 and they'll be like a daily mail will have like a wheel of like male comedians it could be um i will say he's not british he's not british yeah there you go um he was very famous though very rich very powerful and he was in a room uh on a big show it was a mixed bill and i was one of a few women on that bill maybe three women and there was a young female comedian who was starting out who was next to him and he was with all the lads showing pictures and videos on his phone that he had taken of himself having sex with women so like really intimate photos intimate videos next to the woman and the guys were like but he was like showing yeah like making sure that's kind of like exposing yourself well yeah well yes his penis was in a lot of these videos um and she
Starting point is 00:30:36 felt very uncomfortable about that and then she came into my dressing room to be like oh i didn't like him showing me that and she's about to go on stage like she's very new i was even quite new at that time but uh yeah stuff like that that being a minority in that situation which female comedians especially when I was starting out were always minorities in every green room every dressing room there are things we can't do
Starting point is 00:30:58 that the boys can do we can't take a night bus we can't sleep on the floor with like four other comedians starting out a lot of times we have children that we have to look after and then we get fans
Starting point is 00:31:06 who like could kill us Nikki Glaser who's doing amazing in America and is hosting the Golden Globes for the second year in a row she would make a joke of it on her Instagram she'd be like
Starting point is 00:31:15 come kill me in Cincinnati at 7pm come kill me in San Diego I'll be here at 8pm we have to publish where we are at night and we're always alone it's a bit different
Starting point is 00:31:26 i know what you're dying to do what she wants to talk to you about surgery and stuff yes i love which is not a problem i can see you've gone from there she's itching she wants to ask the questions because we had a little chat earlier on and we stopped it didn't we because we're like stop everyone's gonna want to hear this i thought i was like introing the surgery too soon before no okay never never so i know i'm gonna let you because you are look at her she's salivating go on it's i just think you love it it's not we all love it done we were kind of the first people to be really honest about surgery in our little small community years and years ago and i used to document on instagram like i'm having this on i'm so honest and you know what if you don't want
Starting point is 00:32:16 to be that's absolutely fine but i have always been going as far back as when 10 years that's cool yeah yeah um i remember when you documented uh my bluffs i don't know which my bluffs was it your nose it was no something yeah and i remember like 10 years ago i got so much and people talking behind your back about it whereas now people are doing it all you can walk down the road with the cast on like it's fine but back then it was brave yeah i was just like and i wasn't i wasn't talking about surgeries i had i'm having this xyz and like document it so we're obsessed and i love the way that you talk about cosmetic surgery the fact that you bought your mum a facelift like that is that is really kind really really kind i thought it was
Starting point is 00:33:10 yeah a bit out of everything and then we just got into before we started rolling talking about our breast implants as well because that's you've not actually had anything done have you apart from your boobs and then a bit of injectable yeah i've had no surgery on my face and that because it's weird because you get accused of it a lot you do look like no but if i was next to you yeah because you've got a very snatched face it's not i would be looking behind the ears if i had a nose job i wouldn't have chosen this one because i like how it's very dr seuss i know it's like really that's very attractive but the trouble with it is this distance so i'll tell you the facial surgery that i would like to have i've had no facial surgery i've had breast implants twice
Starting point is 00:33:54 2004 or two 2004 and then a revision in 2015 why did you have to get it revised i didn't you know what i got it for the stupidest reason my boobs were fine they were the bags of saline rather than the gummy bears you know what I mean we used to sell tits yeah okay but I'm sure gummy bears is not the clinical yeah everybody knows it was okay I wanted the silicone gel yes but also yeah and you had the it's more natural than a bag of water but um I had split up with a boyfriend who was absolute trash I mean I was really on a roll for a while and um there was something about the cleansing ritual of chucking those tits in the bin i don't know why i had to do it fine i was just like i need fresh boobs now moving we've done stuff like that there's something about
Starting point is 00:34:41 any procedure that um this will fix everything it feels as though you've achieved something and you've kind of been hurt and you've been brave cut your eyelids off and it's emotional yeah and then you come out and you're like something is different so i do i would have way more surgery I've always been either too busy with work or a mother to a small child but my you wait if they think I've had surgery you wait because the next five years it's all happening so the facial surgery that I have not had any uh this distance between my nose and my lip is too long just genetically I would love a lip lift you've had a lip lift haven't you do you know what I love a lip when we look at you I didn't think you needed it I still don't think you needed it but when you look
Starting point is 00:35:23 before and after it looks better it's so attractive and if you look at babies or like beautiful female celebrities like a little cherub their lips are all touching their nose it's so beautiful um now you do annoyingly have to kind of work with the harmony of what mother nature gave you and it might not and they talk about tooth show yeah yeah you don't want to be like yeah but i went to see dr jason diamond who's i actually interned with him yeah did you i was in uh los angeles yes yeah years ago he is incredible and he's featured a lot in the kardashians and what i think is so funny that they do is they will feature they're like dermatologists but we never yeah we never see the guy with the knife no yeah like we don't know who that is he does jason does but i don't
Starting point is 00:36:11 think he's done them what i understand why though i don't know why but um he said well because he just wouldn't do it when i was working there like not working but i interned there for like a week just because i'm so obsessed yeah and this was literally 15 years ago and he used to build facial implants out of a printer wow so he would this is a technology in la 15 years ago and your full on face and build the implants that he would put in and at the time to me it sounded like oh this is mental
Starting point is 00:36:48 but now I'm looking at it like what can you do he does such good work so he said no no so at the time I think I was really on a filler binge and it was like it was between 2016 and 2018 I'm not sure when
Starting point is 00:37:03 first I said when I was young I had silicone put in my lips which is wrong you did i did what where canada like 2002 who the fuck did some amateur like my friend was like why are you getting i remember that when people did that she's like why are you getting hyaluronic acid by a professional in an office for eighteen hundred dollars when you could go to my girl and it's permanent was the selling point for four hundred dollars cash i went into her basement apartment and there was a rabbit a live bunny on the chair he was just her pet because it was oh i thought
Starting point is 00:37:39 the body was a practice thing yeah just maybe also that whoa this is getting weird she's putting retinol in his eyes did she look mental as well yeah but she was a different you know like ethnicity like very middle eastern she could carry it so she was like just move the rabbit and sit down so like not hygienic for a star those things shit every 20 minutes and i was like oh wow and i remember how she did it she just did four injections like one two three four and like put big globs in each one and she was like doesn't it look juicy and i was like that's not how my good doctor dr trevor born who also did my breast implants in canada i was like that's not how he did my lips the other day like the last time i went so good though catherine it got swollen
Starting point is 00:38:22 straight away like that evening it got itchy and swollen and it was asymmetrical ever since and a bit hard they look gorgeous now i'm lucky that they've settled if you had lip blush yeah if you had lip blush no i'd love to get yeah it's fantastic if you haven't put some liner on on the way here on some gloves that might be why right but they are asymmetrical like here and i do have scar tissue from that what did jason say about the lip he said because i'd had silicone 20 years ago it would all be so embedded now i wanted him to scrape it out he was like no and I said well what about a lip lift he said no I said okay I think he just didn't think it would go with my no I don't think it was did he give you an alternative no there's nothing worse when
Starting point is 00:39:03 they just say no you're like well do something I know but I think take something off me I had the mental like fortitude to be like when someone says no though when someone like Jason Diamond says no you have to just leave yes lost the grand deposit that was sad so we're not doing a lip lift i will you still will so having said that still but i was younger then and i do think as you age a lip lift becomes yeah necessary but i wouldn't do what i think so many women do and i think that you sounds like you've done the bleph the lip lift the facelift i feel like gravity works holistically 360 like do it all on the same day only from a financial perspective i agree i mean the first thing for me to go was the blephs and i had blephs before people were having blephs how
Starting point is 00:39:51 did you know to have it oh we're just so into it aren't we we've done it for years like 10 years 15 years so we saw it all day every day so then all of a sudden we were like oh a bit of skin but you wouldn't people look in the mirror and think i don't like my eyes but they don't know why whereas we knew why we didn't like the eyes and how to fix that exactly that's a good thing or a bad thing i don't know but yeah i've i've had your bluffs are looking really i'm redoing mine after the baby yeah after after every baby it's so i'm gonna redo them for sure so your new podcast though is all about aging would you say or it's about the age of your but you take bloods and it's the full-on age of your body yeah it's biological yeah glycolic age so i've had this
Starting point is 00:40:35 before Catherine where I go on this monitor in the gym and it goes this is your metabolic age mine's probably about 94 mine actually was really young to be fair oh good yeah but I mean god knows I'm scared about this blood test situation that we might all be doing um so explain what it is then so we work with the company called glycan age and they test your blood for inflammation markers that they think and and like i think a lot of study shows because i've read about it it is a pretty good indication of your biological age because as you get older inflammation increases and what's good about it from the few episodes that we've got ready so far um people can reverse their biological age so there are people who are like massive caners who are like
Starting point is 00:41:23 eating badly who are doing all the wrong things and then they turned it around and started living healthfully their biological age somehow is really low but then mine is super super high really because of inflammation and do you think that's from no sleep it can be impacted by stress and lifestyle or just genetics so some people and you've probably seen like men like this especially they can drink like 40 ounces of whiskey every night they're like these businessmen they smoke yeah but because of their just it doesn't look of the draw it doesn't impact them some people can smoke and some people can't yeah i've been surprised that a few athletes like very competitive world-class athletes have had a high um glycolic age and a lot of inflammation
Starting point is 00:42:06 and apparently too much exercise will age you as well if you don't know so you have your guests come on you find out they're biological what's the word biological yeah they're biologically and then do you kind of chat about their lifestyle and why it's like that and what changes can be made is that it's a good way in for an interview we just talk about their work their stress levels their family life their history like how long their parents lived and then what they actually do and i've learned so much about these hyperbaric oxygen chambers and how useful those actually are apparently these nad injections are not good so did you i've heard that it can speed cancer oh my god did you see the thing of the lady that said the nad plus isn't
Starting point is 00:42:51 worth it but there's another thing called no natural forgotten and you take that and it increases your natural guys gives you the tools to then produce more rather than injecting it that's what i heard it's so fucking confusing like where do we and also i think i'm an expert talking about some guys we are not medical we are not i just want to caveat that i'm there having this conversations and i'm like i've done research on this what i've watched three tiktoks yeah do you know what i mean and then i'm there i'm taking that plus do you know what i must say though i have been taking that plus for a year the energy levels you feel good um i do the nad plus and i do the what's the green one glutathione yeah glutathione glutathione as well
Starting point is 00:43:42 um really really good hyperbaric oxygen chambers absolutely fantastic we've done that a few times and we watched we watched house we watched mauricio yes we did um that honestly after my facelift sped my recovery up by like half i was absolutely fine back to normal i think there is though hyperbaric oxygen chambers and hyperbaric oxygen chambers oh how do you know if you're well you're getting one that it's like you're in a spaceship it was like we were in a spaceship it sat next to each other fully sat next to each other with a big tv and we could lie back and then there's those tents i've been in the tent and that was not i didn't feel the same so with a tent the pressure isn't the same i don't think the pressure i have no idea all i know is one was comfier than
Starting point is 00:44:31 sitting in a tent but i don't think they're that easy to get so on our podcast what's my age again i've learned and again you're right they change the rules all the time like no seed oil and then we're back we're on oat milk again and then apparently that's but they have said that making your own nad whatever that is is best because the nad molecule is too big to get into the cell so literally the other day yeah and then with hyperbaric oxygen chambers it is like a really high concentration saturation of oxygen but it's the pressure yeah so those tents they might not have the same pressure that the spaceship afterwards you're like yeah you want to shrink the oxygen molecules to get inside the cell that's what they said the one that we went in
Starting point is 00:45:12 literally you it was like you couldn't get out we couldn't get out without telling them and they had to lower the pressure before we got out it wasn't it always like my mother-in-law's got one in her house and i thought they're like 60 grand you don't know she looks she's 45 she looks eight violent it's it's unfair you would love to like and she's got she's got one in her house she's got a beauty like therapy machine in her house i mean i do know your mother-in-law spectacularly wealthy i do but that um the kardashians do all of the things yes yes they do i think more and You were the one that put me onto the nod. People are learning that youthfulness or beauty
Starting point is 00:45:54 or anything that can come from the inside is a better investment, especially with fillers. I think women of my generation were so tricked and trapped with these fillers. This will just go away, blah, blah, blah. No, and now they're finding it in MRIs after all these years and it can be aging because of the gravity.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Like that was where I stopped getting fillers because I'm over 40 now, but I got lost in the game for a while. like you said filler blindness i wanted a kylie jenner jawline well unfortunately that's never going to be compatible with my anatomy i got filler in my jaw but also a bit too far down filler in the chin simon orion i love filler in the chin but simon orion in la loves filler in the chin i looked like jay leno for a while yeah it was buzz light year chin just a touch well yeah he didn't do a touch and again he has a lot of middle eastern client they want to look armenian
Starting point is 00:46:42 it didn't suit my like very celtic bone structure did you dissolve it i just waited and it went away and do you not think you sometimes don't realize until you look at a picture yeah and then you think oh the jaw and chin wasn't great but you don't realize till after and it's kind of gone then but i think what people don't aren't told is that filler will never lift no it can't they go the filler will lift the filler will have no it can give the illusion of lifting sometimes it's just putting volume where in a totally different place than where of the volume you lost so i think my plan yeah tell us more about your face again just to wait wait for the facelift get the facelift i can't wait to have are we getting a full face and are
Starting point is 00:47:21 we going for it yeah my only criticism about my mother's facelift aside from she got a scar right here that it's it's a weird kind of fluke that can happen it's just filling up with fluid and we don't know why that sounds like a seroma yeah i think she's got a seroma it's not infected it's just oh you'll tell me okay and um why can't you say it on the podcast that's about this he's gonna tell her something later okay but um and he didn't do a lip lift and even in the consultation i was like my mother needs a lip lift and he was like no i think she needed the lip lift so i'm not sure if i'm gonna go to that guy it's about who it's so much about who so new york i've heard is the best place for the face so wildly 500k some people are charging for a face who's doing 500k
Starting point is 00:48:09 I read it not Giacono I think it's someone like that that's like really really really really famous why is New York the best and not LA you would think it'd be LA wouldn't you right I don't know if you think about which city you prefer though just as a city yeah New York's better New York is more Paris than LA like maybe the LA facelifts look too Dorit
Starting point is 00:48:33 yeah I think Dorit looks great though actually Dorit looks great because now in the flashbacks not to return to Real Housewives it's the arm lipo for me oh it's everything
Starting point is 00:48:42 and PK the arms I was looking at them he's had a face teeny tiny arms has he 100% well have you seen
Starting point is 00:48:48 I was watching a TikTok of him and his new girlfriend he's got a new girlfriend alleged alleged she looks she looks a bit harsh for me really she's not Dorit
Starting point is 00:48:57 taller than him of course she's taller than him who's not but yeah we're doing flashbacks now of when they were happy and i love it's like watching a season one episode of kardashians you're like am i in some kind of time war blowing yeah dorit when you look at original dorit she looks amazing and getting back to your original point about your complete selfless transparency about the work that you've had done and i know that you don't you know judge people who choose not to because you know that there's an onslaught of hatred and vitriol if you do share it but like if someone like dorit would just go here's exactly what i did and exactly who i went to we'd love it then i wouldn't be botched in turkey when i speak though we did speak quite a bit about
Starting point is 00:49:39 disclosing the surgeon and the problem with that is you could have and we've seen it in our careers a wonderful wonderful surgeon who did the best job on you but that doesn't guarantee that they are going to do the best job on everyone or that everyone is going to follow the aftercare exactly and then what happens is people come back to you and they say you recommended such as my fucking ears hanging off oh no we don't say names it's yeah so that's the only thing that's the only reason that some people don't think of i do love the idea of saying what you've had done but there's just that little bit of you that if someone's tit falls off and they go i only got it done because your tits are great.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Oh, like Joan Rivers. That's the only reason that I'm a bit like... Was it Joan Rivers? What about her? She's dead. Yes, we're dead. We've just said dead. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Face thing. Yeah. Do you know... God bless. ...that Beyonce was born... No, no, no, wait. Let's get this right. Beyonce...
Starting point is 00:50:38 Let's, before we... Let's make sure this is right. Before we break the... So Joan Rivers slagged off Beyonce and then... Died. Joan Rivers died on Beyonce's birthday. and a lot of people think there's a i was gonna say what do you write this is a left this is a
Starting point is 00:50:53 total what are your thoughts on illuminati stuff i think it's absolutely real yeah as evidenced by the increase in billionaires i mean if they're not forming an illuminati what are they doing they're wasting their time they're so powerful what do you think of kanye west i feel is he amazing is he sad apparently allegedly allegedly what do you think of him because there's i don't know i'll be honest i've not mega deep dive done a deep dive but my husband talks about a lot illuminati kanye beyonce jay-z are they all doing dodgy shit and are the kardashians doing weird shit with kids blood oh have you seen that if they are sign me up working well yeah you do stem cell therapy in columbia no that's not what i'm talking about i'm talking about
Starting point is 00:51:40 really weird shit that people say that goes on in america when illuminati and all this i do do think he's real i have like a playfully right wing husband and he has always really disparaged like hollywood and and the democrats and all the things that have come out about all this oh i'm so good and i'm for the people but that's yeah but like there's a difference between someone charming you and acting like they're good and then they let these terrible things happen under the surface i think hollywood is definitely weird and when you think about hollywood movies even the amount of child abuse in movies and violence i've really turned off on all of that i'm like i I think a lot of them are definitely weird.
Starting point is 00:52:17 I mean, as evidenced by a lot of the trials and like apparent jail suicides that have happened. Yes. But do I like Kanye West? I can't excuse his anti-Semitism. No, I don't like him. But I do think that what he's doing is a very like gauche attempt at art.
Starting point is 00:52:31 I think he's trying to be an artist by being like, I'm going to say the worst things I could say, the most cancelable things, and that is my art. Like I get that he's trying to be Kanye. Do we think Bianca's boobs are real or not? Yeah, I do. I do. i i i don't know how i feel sad for her if i should feel sad she might be very happy i don't know
Starting point is 00:52:50 but something feels sad but i don't know well yeah do you not think that he did say that his wife has to obey him oh wow yeah something feels sad but maybe she's really happy and she wants to get a fanny out i don't know enough about this to talk no but you know what i mean i don't know it's interesting like what do you mean you don't know she's my sister making her or is she wanting to be nude like that my sister said the same she said i think it's a public humiliation kink this is what i'm thinking no people have said that like no she just want to get a tits and fine i don't know supposedly she was wearing a long coat and when they got out of the car there was something about him mouthing to her like no take the coat off so you do know what i mean i'm just
Starting point is 00:53:36 yeah so i think it's like a or are we giving her that when really are we making her feel like really if she wants to get her bits out she fucking can it doesn't mean she's sad do you know i'm just interested in that i don't think about her a lot no maybe i should you should because once you do really anyway away from bianca and back to the surgery i need to know a little bit more so the face are we doing anything to the body you guys were chatting before about the implants you said you're going to take them out breast implant illness what do we think absolutely true it makes total sense that your body would reject a foreign object within it natural if you have autoimmune markers some people wouldn't some people are fine with
Starting point is 00:54:16 implants for life um the thing with me is i do have lupus systemic lupus which is an autoimmune disease i also have celiac which is an autoimmune disease but i'm not sick with either of those things they do show up in my blood my sister has no breast implants and she's got way more autoimmune disease than i have and she is sick so like and i had lupus before i had breast implants did they know that when they put them in no i went for a blood test you know how they always want to test you for hiv before you have surgery i was like i've got it maybe i've got it yeah everyone you've ever shagged yeah this is it so i went for the test and i remember him looking hey so i was getting a boob job now that i've got hiv which is scary yeah testing is scary yeah really scary but
Starting point is 00:55:01 um i remember him going oh you have really really low white blood cells but maybe you're just getting over a cold like he didn't really care but i had had some live blood analysis before that too where my red blood cells were stacked like coins i just went with my mom for like a wellness thing so we didn't know it was lupus at the time but looking back there were absolute autoimmune markers at that time kind of thing so i i do have an idea of lupus because we were talking about before because there's a girl called mercedes that was on america's next top model i just remember it so i have got a bit of an idea but you say it doesn't affect you as much as your sister but what kind of things does that day-to-day what does it do if you have an autoimmune condition
Starting point is 00:55:38 it depends it's very see i don't think they know enough about autoimmune disease and i think that's because there's very little investment in research for women's health and 90 of autoimmune sufferers are women and i think that's maybe because we internalize a lot of stuff i think that's bad for you i definitely do that um mercedes on ant yeah i remember her it was years ago she had yeah she had fevers she had hair loss hair loss that's what she had joint pain um lupus yeah like selena gomez had a kidney transplant it depends on what yeah autoimmune is basically your defense system chooses through like confusion of your t-cells to attack healthy cells and organs so my biggest symptom of that would be like miscarriages but i don't feel sick
Starting point is 00:56:25 day to day i have to take medicine every day hydroxychloroquine which like modulates autoimmune disease and then for celiac i just never ever eat bread it's a life of like no donuts no pizza no pasta yeah i mean it might it might do something to the insulin resistance in my skin who knows but um it's fine for me like i really don't mind but i would like to not have it show up in my blood work like if you look at my blood work doctors i was like oh my god how have you not got but i feel fine do you think so we said about removing the implants do you think that's gonna help it's like what because you were saying are you gonna get them out why yeah why do you want to get them out then if you've got no do you really have no boobs catherine none and it's
Starting point is 00:57:05 probably worse now that i've had three kids i'm the same i've not got any breast tissue it's all implants yeah 410 grams of implants yeah they look great you would get them out would you have a lift would you leave them would you what would you do with these little titties that you've got i think you'd need a lift nowadays i mean who knows what they would look like i've had implants all of my life i was like 20 years old when i got them so i think it's kendall jenner mostly and who's motivated me to have this like little itty bitty little committee i think it looks cute And you wouldn't have to wear a bra in bed and stuff. I know.
Starting point is 00:57:40 And a lot of the outfits you can wear, when you've got big tits, you just can't. They don't fit the same. We were in, again, the big, big generation. I do like a boobie. I do. You wouldn't. Would you have no tits?
Starting point is 00:57:51 Well, I've been doing infrared sauna a lot recently alongside, like, cryo and hyperbaric oxygen chamber. And I was reading the other day a top cosmetic or plastic surgeon was saying that if you go on the infrared sauna when you've got breast implants in, it's so bad for you. What?
Starting point is 00:58:16 Why? Yeah. It like all heats up and it all... Allegedly. Allegedly. Because they have plastic at the end of the day. Yeah, that's what I mean. And he was like going in it.
Starting point is 00:58:29 He was like, all these girls going in infrared saunas and guarantee you they've all got fake tits as well. And they're not eating the lunch apple plastic tupperware, heated the plastic tips we're all over 35 now with our big old boobs is there any other surgery you'd have bar so implants out maybe a little lift facelift lip lift if they'll let you anything else they'll let me are your teeth real Catherine no nice to you what have you got what you know it was sad actually because I had I always had really straight white beautiful teeth like post
Starting point is 00:58:58 braces when I was a teenager and then I whiten them so much I felt just a few of them were getting a bit translucent yeah clear like i put my finger but again we're from the wild wild west like i was whitening my teeth in 1998 when i think it was bleach from the toilet oh my god i don't know i used to paint it on and it burnt your gums yeah red and so and my mom encouraged it my mom took me to get the trays when i was 15 and they looked amazing like i had veneer looking teeth but then i did get over just four of them to like combat that see-throughness that they had so did you have like a veneer or a bonding or a composite veneer by this man in new york again called dr appa oh are you all right yeah she says get me veneers no the child has just gone wild i
Starting point is 00:59:42 know i don't know her gender i'm just going i thought did someone say veneers to my surprise please i'll be born with no teeth they look gorgeous they look so natural well i saw this influencer what is her name like amradi or something yes yes and she was talking about her veneers falling out when she was eating rice i was following her online yeah and then she went to dr appa he's got offices in new york and offices in dubai um as part of michael rosenthal's clinic in new york i just went to him because i i liked he fixed her again i know you guys say don't mention the doctors i just mentioned it's so helpful when people do it's just if you're the person it's just we've had it haven't we we've had it where it's come back sometimes yeah that's
Starting point is 01:00:23 the only problem i think please do mention it so i just legally say everyone that was my experience and I had a boyfriend who lived in New York at the time so it was easy for me to go instead another thing strategic relationship
Starting point is 01:00:35 what about like a lipo type thing you don't need it but does anyone all the people always need it so I'll tell you about the lipo
Starting point is 01:00:41 I was really interested in getting a BBL I'm going to name a surgeon again by Dr. Surbulent in Turkey yes because my neighbour
Starting point is 01:00:48 went to him so I knew like a real life person he's been very you hear him all the time yeah a lot of Russian girls
Starting point is 01:00:55 and he does like a skinny BBL and again what's the one in america does the s curve oh yeah and he supposedly who's the one that we follow that is just fucking whoa dr miami ryan stanton no it's more of a is it spanish name i don't know but i always send you and he does a skinny bbl because that's what i that's what i looked at as well hector maybe it's just wow and this is the thing though that i've learned from the new york consultation for my facelift that i'll tell you about is that doctor made a good point he kind of doesn't exist online and he was like i would be very wary of these guys
Starting point is 01:01:34 who have time to be influencers he's like i do 320 facelifts a year i'm not on instagram i don't have to and all these guys were like whoa what's going on next and they're doing trends and like dancing on tiktok he won miami one that was doing the tiktoks while he was operating on you like there's a lot i'm asleep like can you just not like and it it's not good that is a fair point yeah so when i was breastfeeding my youngest daughter i wasn't even fat in that pregnancy but i got really big breastfeeding her and i thought like well even if i shift this it's not going to be the shape the youthful and again it is about that like natural youthfulness of the and i always had a little waist and i still do like to an extent i don't gain weight in the middle
Starting point is 01:02:15 but I have like just loose skin a little bit not too bad but like back fat just stretching from that and I thought yeah I'll call up Dr. Surbulence so they're like hello dear send pictures dear and like full video of body dear so I made this like this like horrid video I've done this in Turkey and had to send the saggy tits and then they want like 500 euros transferred but then they want the rest cash yeah when you go to Turkey I had my boobs done in Turkey and that's I went for a BBL and he said no but yeah that rang alarm bells for me I was like I don't think that I can like risk my life and I don't mean to disparage international doctors I don't think everything in the UK is the best at all even when it comes to plastic surgery totally agree it's you know they are 15 years
Starting point is 01:03:00 behind the reason I got breast implants when I was young and the reason that you started doing things and talking about them is because I think we have a very North American mindset where it you know in Brazil they love having braces because it's a sign of wealth like culturally you know some places might be better around with like we were saying your nose and it's like i've been able to have it yeah yeah yeah that's how i felt when i got my breast and in iran yeah the richer you are like yeah so i'm not trying to disparage turkey but i do think it's it's adding to an existing risk yes when you go to a place where you don't speak the language and they're taking cash and then you have to like have your recovery we've got some horrible stories about someone um
Starting point is 01:03:44 I think we were actually one of the first people to share that story about the kidney. Oh, yeah. So is this urban legend? No, people do get their kidneys stolen. We've had three now. Three now. Directly from the source that I messaged
Starting point is 01:03:57 when we first started, wasn't it? One is someone that we actually knew and they had left a tube inside her. Like a drainage. A drainage tube, a part of, inside somewhere here and she kept having, was it miscarriages or she couldn't get pregnant or something and then they found this part of this tube.
Starting point is 01:04:19 And then the other one was ill. The other one was ill. They went in to check why she was ill and they were like, well, when did you have the kidney out? She was like, ooh. And then someone's nipples got stolen. The nipple thing. I forgot that was years ago.
Starting point is 01:04:33 In Thailand, the nipples got taken. Yeah, she woke up and her nipples were gone. Because they give the nipple to gender reassignment surgery a lot of the time, a smaller nipple. There was something, that was a real person. every mammal has its own nipples how scary is that have i had my boobs been taken i had no problems and i went because i well it's fine later on i know your nips range rovers we were laughing before because i don't know what's happened this last week one of my tits has just
Starting point is 01:04:58 gone wild my nipple and it's got um orange stuff coming out are you harvesting that i've asked her these questions so if you don't plan to breastfeed listen i don't want to shame any mom about what you want to do do what you want but please harvest that my friend said that i shouldn't squeeze them now because it can bring labor it can bring labor you need to wait it's this one 34 35 weeks and in the bath i said i sent her the link for the colostrum kit pull out when the baby has a flu and the baby has a rash this is liquid gold they're both nodding at me like you better get that shit it's really good i will give it to me it's just people buy it like sell it on ebay to bodybuilders there are men who buy breast milk so when I was in the bath I thought I'm gonna
Starting point is 01:05:38 squeeze you so I just had a little squeeze and I took a picture it said it's my husband I was like I've got orange stuff coming out so I need to need to squeeze that out to the face sorry so then my my milk and I still do want to have another baby so I don't I can't do the facelift yet I love the idea of a young facelift I like that we're not waiting till our 60s anymore when we've had like some divorce and we're like I'll show you and it's like let's do it in your 30s like everyone in hollywood so um i found out through the manhattan jewish grapevine oh the best aka the ex-boyfriend who lives in new york still friends that the guy who did to me more brad pitt and we we don't know we'll never know lindsey lowen but i really think it could be
Starting point is 01:06:21 lindsey lohan is called dr stephen levine and i booked a consultation with him and of course i didn't ask him like any of this classified information that he would never tell but he's like young he's uh talented he was top of his class like our age but i mean i'm older than you but around like in his 30s or 40s i still think surgeons should be old should be old i think they normally should but he's like a protege he's just like a genius like a what was the waiting room and everything like i didn't physically go there we had a zoom call did it feel very professional yeah he showed me a lot of befores and afters and he spoke about i asked him questions like i was told i can't have a lip lift and he said that my nose is too narrow so a lip lift can only be
Starting point is 01:07:05 as wide as your nose yeah of course because the scar goes yeah and he said that would be a bit weird he goes i might do a little corner lift or do something different a something lift that that really makes sense because if your nose is narrow then you're only lifting this right and then you'd look like a fish so we talked about you know every facelift being like really bespoke and working with the harmony he goes um i make sure that everyone just looks prettier like not just younger not just more snatched but like prettier and that is what he's known for is having an eye to do that so with every person he has to do something a little bit different yeah but where he puts the fat and where he does this and where he does that and how
Starting point is 01:07:45 yeah and like i do you know the neck is on the run i'm not just saying this to like get up your genuinely i'm not because she wouldn't say anything yeah you don't you don't really have she looks so much prettier in real life you haven't got any i don't think you're ready yet you've not got any like with ashley when you got yours you didn't need i agreed but then when i look i can see what you meant you're a little more jowling i don't think you've got any jowl and also like just this used to be you know i had a brow lift i had a brow lift with the facelift are separate separate you did so many procedures separately i want to do it all in one day i was thinking of a brow lift after the baby you do if you have got thin hair though it did
Starting point is 01:08:28 take a long time they cut hair um and it took a long time but it's going back now because i think a lot of people think they need a blepharoplasty because they've got a heavy eye but often i've just been looking at yours you've got no left nothing heavier than they once were there's no loose skin but i'm gonna do the rest of the pockets like this it can sometimes be the eye or it can be just that you've got heavy brow i've got heavy brow but you've got no bleph they couldn't cut anything off but it's looking really this that's going that's where you feel and when dr dominic bray in the uk did my mom's facelift he took out like salivary glands yeah he takes glands for these look yeah i've got them i've just started getting them and you do a certain face
Starting point is 01:09:08 no i can't see that on you see we all look at each other isn't it wouldn't it be nice if we could look at ourselves like we look at each other because i don't wish i didn't care i think i don't think either of you look like you've had anything done thank you you just look naturally like very youthful and bright and like you do an oxygen chamber and now and again and yeah a bit of wine and that's it really but this guy for anyone who wants to know how much it is in new york and i hope you're allowed to say this there was nothing like in the documents was like don't tell anyone the price because each price is going to be exclusive to you he said it would be 174 000 us dollars how many is that like 120 000 english would you say he does only one a day he does only
Starting point is 01:09:48 one a day yeah you don't need to do any fucking more no do you know what though the guy that i went to does one a day and i was in surgery for nine that's a full day nine hours yeah my friends didn't you say he was spending a lot of time squeezing filler out filler gross and that was It's 30-ish. Yeah, but this is about, in pounds, yours was about 120,000 pounds. Because if it's about $1.74, it's roughly 120 grand. One night stay. The dollar's pretty high.
Starting point is 01:10:20 I think it is too. But the other thing is, I think sometimes in Manhattan, you're paying their real estate. Yeah, and his insurance, his real estate, his staff, like everything. It's crazy. That's really a lot. I was expecting it to be more than that. Really? But then do you know what?
Starting point is 01:10:36 what if a man went and spent 200 grand on a car or a watch it'd be yes bro and just because we're spending that on our face that we have to walk around yeah forever what's tricky is it is an investment like demi moore won a golden well this year and i don't know and i hate to say it i'm not trying to disparage like her acting ability or anything else she's talented but like would she would she i'm asking the question be as relevant in hollywood if she didn't look the way she does it still does matter and if you are a business enterprise where you're the face of it you do have to consider like exactly and if you divide it out yeah over the years of your career yeah monthly it's not as soon as he drives that car out of the showroom which starts losing value
Starting point is 01:11:22 like your face just yeah anyway we've loved having you on katherine how nice my battery went ages ago so i don't know what's going on you're pregnant i don't have a clue what's going on thank you so much thank you i love new podcast coming out we have tour dates left guys while you can't go and see her please try and go and see because she is just the best and listen to her podcast as well i love it when bobby comes on bobby's a saint and your daughter as well she's violet stuff she is honestly she's she's the one to watch I love my daughter
Starting point is 01:12:02 and I've just seen she's been doing the modelling as well for the skincare oh preppy yes yeah that's my
Starting point is 01:12:08 friend's brand for like teens it's a personal care brand and Violet is such a good idea I was going to say that actually when we were
Starting point is 01:12:14 speaking about kids and deodorant anyway thank you so much for listening guys and thank you so much Catherine I need $174,000
