Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to NipTuck on a Wednesday. Hello, darlings. How are you? Hello everyone and welcome to NipTuck podcast. We are the hosts. Ashley and Lauren. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:20 So can we tell everyone what we were doing this morning because it's going to be out by now? Are we allowed? He says no yet. Right. What we've got coming up this week. First of all, we're going to tell you why we've been this morning.
Starting point is 00:00:29 So if we're a bit Bing-Bong-Boo, we have had a long day. We're going to talk about, oh, there's a lot going on at the minute about breastfeeding. We might be a touch behind, but we sometimes are a bit behind. But we get there in the end. A little bit about breastfeeding and drums. We're going to talk about, so Ashley made a joke about Barbie peptides. It's a thing.
Starting point is 00:00:48 So we need to talk about that. And then we've got an iclist for men. You know we love to rinse the men. But first of all, Ashley, where can they find us? Where can they get in touch? What's going on? Basically, you go on your phone and you type in at nip tuck pod. That's our Instagram page.
Starting point is 00:01:03 That's got links for absolutely fucking everything on there. You can get involved in the Patreon. You can watch us on the YouTube. You can listen to the extra episodes. It could go all the way back. You can get the full immersive experience on there with the Patreon. You've got everything. Hello at niptuppod.com.
Starting point is 00:01:22 We always need you. This podcast will not be here without you. And we love you so much. We love to hear your hacks, your dupes, your tips, your tricks, your slutty soos, your man of the weeks, all of your input. That is what we need. And Lucas reads every single email. He can't get back to them all.
Starting point is 00:01:43 They always stay anonymous in our inbox. We never know who they're off. I'm sure there's been some stuff in there that he has received and chosen not to read out. Chosen not to pass to us. But just make sure. What you don't know? Can't hurt you baby. Hey, Lucas, Lucas, is there any that you read and think that's not nice?
Starting point is 00:02:02 I'm not telling the girl. Do we ever get anything nasty? You don't get that. Do you know what? The ones that I don't, sometimes, but here's the catch-trotty-toe that I'm having in the moment. Sometimes I'm like,
Starting point is 00:02:11 that looks like chat chit. But then, do you know what? Everyone use it to rewrite things. So sometimes might, people might just... Oh, like, spell chacker. Or some people might not be like... They might not know how to storytellers. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:20 So I now don't always write that off, but I tell you what I do, although, again, I have started using chat chitp-tie to cut them down. We sometimes get emails that are... Too long. Hages. Okay. And I get,
Starting point is 00:02:32 I've had voice notes that are like eight minutes long. Yeah, guys, you've got to remember as a listener, it's too long. So shorten it down, short sweet. Short sweet, to the point. It really helps us if in the title you say like, man of the week, respond to breastfeeding, whatever it might be, because then we can look through it and make sure it's whatever. Right, here we go. Let's have a little chit-chat.
Starting point is 00:02:50 What have we got to catch? What are you doing? You're distracting me. I'm vlogging. And do you know what? Petition to get Lauren on YouTube, Alex. It's not right. Guys, it's not right.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Computer says no. It's not right. Why the fuck are you not on YouTube? You absolute time wasteer. I've got more kids from me than you, right? I've got more work than you, right? Do I still fit it in? Our days are very different.
Starting point is 00:03:25 But this is like that, but Beyonce's got the same amount of time. But not the same help. I don't even. I don't even buy things for myself. You need to do YouTube. No. I do. To buy things to do YouTube.
Starting point is 00:03:39 No, what I'm saying is I at the minute don't even have the brain capacity to like look at, like that may be tracksuit. You like buy it. I'll never buy it. You made me buy it there and then because I'll go home. My brain will be, there's too much going on right now. I cannot do it. Let's begin. Right. So let's have a little bit of catch up. So where I'm at now, I've just had a little mental breakdown guys. Oh, that was funny. Anyway, let's, let's make a joke out of it and move on. Um, right. So interestingly, we would talking about Tommy's sleep. So as we know, we're still not sleeping. Anyway, I posted something on Instagram and you've mentioned this to me before, Ashley, about tonsils and adenoids. So I've noticed that when he's sleeping and I actually put the video on Instagram, he's making
Starting point is 00:04:15 this like really weird noise. It's a constant all night, like a, put it on Instagram. It's all, it's really bad. I put it on Instagram. And a nurse replied to me, she was a pediatric nurse and she was like, first of all, let me just tell you, people say babies don't sleep. Some babies don't sleep. She was like, this is not normal. I'm telling you now, it's not. So stop thinking it is. It's not. And then a lot of people message me and that's what Instagram's so good for. You go on there. You have a little moan. And it is a bit like, oh, moony, moony. But I had hundreds of messages people like, oh, like an actual nurse got back to me in like 10 minutes. A pediatric nurse that was like, this isn't normal. Then a few more
Starting point is 00:04:51 were like, you need to go to this doctor. It could be his tonsils and adenoiser in large. Has he always had that like convulsing noise? Yes. He had it from the moment in hospital. Oh shit. And they gave him antibiotics. And they thought it was the breathing thing. Yes. So it's gone on. Thank you, some parisides. Well, it's gone on forever.
Starting point is 00:05:08 But anyway, I might be getting to the bottom of it, guys. So if your child is like noisy beyond belief noisy, it could be that. But apparently if you get the tonsils and the rad noise out early, it's an easier up. So I did book him with an ENT. Then she cancelled and I've not had time to rebook it. Did you not book him with the guy that I told you?
Starting point is 00:05:28 I mess I messaged them they've not go back to me weirdly they normally ring you I bet I put the wrong phone number on the fucking phone ring them because they are amazing and he's in because didn't Saski have their tonsils? Yes tonsils and adenoids but apparently it can cause a lot of like kids not sleeping in the night and take it into the doctor after the first consultation because she was like full potty trained
Starting point is 00:05:53 but she would wake up in the worst mood every night morning, sorry. Because she'd not slept. Because she hadn't slept because she kept like, something about, because they're going, then they're not, it's not a proper sleep apnea. And it's not a proper sleep because they can hear themselves. Yeah, so this is, when I started looking into it,
Starting point is 00:06:13 and last night I was lying there, like listening to him breathing, trying to wake it out. There is something called sleep apnea and I think it's like the breathing, but then they'll miss like a, not even a full breath, like a beat of a second, like and then they'll stop. And then he'll go again. And that apparently, they're oxygen levels. It causes loads and loads of problems.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And she was wetting the bed. It can cause that as well. Yeah. He does, I mean, I know he's a baby in a nappy, but he excessively comes through his nappy every night and he didn't used to. So anyway, there's loads going on. Trying to get to the bottom of it,
Starting point is 00:06:38 I feel like for the last 18 months, I have gone down. The no sleep and no house thing, it's not a good combination. The no sleep's getting hard now. I mean, it's all right, but it's getting quite tough. And I'm always starting at different routes.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Like I've took dairy out of his diet. He's been to a dietician. He's had his tongue tight. His skin has got better on the set. But he does still have eczema. I'm so sweaty. He does still have eczma. I need of these tonsils, but if you replied to me on Instagram and helped me with that,
Starting point is 00:07:02 I can't, like, Instagram's such, sometimes it's such a shit place, but sometimes it's such a fucking good place and the amount of messages that I got that were like, hanging there, we've been there. So if you've got a noisy kid, tonsils could be the one. But then I started panicking at the thought of him even having surgery and then I started crying about that. I can't think like that. Started crying about that. So you can't fucking win, can you? You cannot win those children. I promise you, like, as a mum who's kid has had that operation. You have to do. Do you remember just getting something up. I didn't actually speak about it at the time because I'm so proud of it.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I remember having, I remember having it done because I remember the hospital. And do you remember I got really upset? Oh my God, yeah, that day was. That's what I remember. And she was absolutely fine. The one thing that was weirdy was when a child wakes up from anesthetic because they don't know what's going on, they go absolutely fucking mental.
Starting point is 00:07:53 And they said to me like, you're going to have to in recovery get in the bed with her. So she, because they wake up, don't they? They're in pain. And they're in pain. Yeah. And she's like, where the, what the fuck is going? Sounds fun.
Starting point is 00:08:06 So, to me, it sounds like a fun recreational activity. I had to get in and they had to wheel us both back. Oh, do you know what? If you asked have it done, he asked of it done. But then she just stopped screaming then. She was absolutely fine. And then it's done. And then she just loved telling everyone, she had it done.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They do say the early you do it the better. But I've been down every. She had these things called grommets put her in a air. What is that? they were, I don't really know. I've heard of it. I thought Grommets was something you took out. Wallace and Grommett.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Wednesdaydale Grommet. But yeah, I feel like I'm tight. I've been down every avenue with that kid since he was born. Like I've been to, I've done the most. I've freshly cooked all his food now. He has not. And I'm fucking still not getting any sleep. So it's time to sort that.
Starting point is 00:08:50 The other issue, I mean, this, surely this can't be right. It would mean I would be emotional. My head would be all over the show. Hmm. Perimenopal. No. God, it doesn't seem. She nearly murdered me just.
Starting point is 00:09:02 I've just nearly cried my eyes out. Right. I'm going to tell you this because we spoke last week and I've been accused of talking about things that I don't know the answer to. So I've got some answers for you. We spoke last week about perimenopause. Now, we were a bit, Perry. Perry, Sean.
Starting point is 00:09:18 We were a bit like. Perry Perry did. Oh, I love that. Perry Mayo. We were a bit like, what is it? And I was joking saying, fuck it. I'm going to go and get pregnant. Anyway, there was a really helpful lady.
Starting point is 00:09:28 two helpful ladies, one of them being La La La, let me explain. And how weird after we were literally talking about her on the pod, we need to get her in as a yes. I really want her on. We love her. So for anyone. Catherine Ryan again. Yeah, I would really like that. So I'm going to give you a little bit of info about perimenopause because I believe that a lot of us listeners are on that path potentially soon.
Starting point is 00:09:50 So I'm going to tell you what info I found. There's a gorgeous lady who's a listener who gave me a little bit help and then Lala message me as well. So it doesn't mean that you can't have children. It's a really slow transition. It can last 10 years. Doesn't necessarily mean that your hormones are declining, but it can be that they are erratic. Up and down, big peaks and troughs. It can affect your mood and your periods.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Certain weeks of your cycle, you can have almost ADHD symptoms. One week, super active, super organized, get your shit done the next week. You can't cope anymore. And apparently it's to do with a huge fluctuation with estrogen and progesterone. Itchy ears can happen. Skin problems. Exma, and the advice is basically high protein and creatine, magnesium at night, aschwaganda, and L-theonine.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Yeah, that's L-theonine is... It can regulate your cortisol levels, which can be affected. Localised estrogen cream is great for keeping things moist and for stopping UTIs. Lala's exact words were, think of it like the opposite of puberty. Puberty takes years, so does Perry. Don't panic and don't freak out. Most women start feeling symptoms around 37, but often don't link it...
Starting point is 00:11:03 Shit! And the sexophone got louder. But often don't link it to Perry because the NHS is behind in studying women. So a lot of NHS material seems that it doesn't happen until late 40s, but it can be happening now. Memory loss, brain fog. Feel like you can't manage life like you used to.
Starting point is 00:11:21 That is Perry. And it starts in your 30s. I rang my mum this morning and I said if one person smiles at me or looks at me or asks if I'm okay, I'm going to cry. So maybe this is what it is. That's not normal. You can still be fertile for many years
Starting point is 00:11:33 and your cycle will most likely continue but it'll start to change. Having babies put it off and maybe get... Frozen shoulder! Your shoulder is my fucking shoulder one. It's still not great, is it? No! Wow, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Anyway, menopause... Is your ear itchy? It's hot. Guys, I've just had a sip of this. We're doing a new feature which we'll come on to in a second. Which we've just made up today. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:11:59 19% alcohol. Oh God, I love that. White box squeezes. I mean, very compact. But right. It will fit in a mini-Kelly potentially. My issue is one of those and I'm fucking done. So I'm just like, that's me for the night.
Starting point is 00:12:18 I've never heard of that brand before. White box. What other cocktails do they do? I can't think that. Actually, the smell is so. potent. Well, I know. Well, I'm not driving today. I am. I can't. I'm driving with my boyfriend. Chauphor. That smell is potent. I can't touch that. I absolutely can't touch it. Spicy marg. That's what this one is. Classic Cosmo. Oh, this is just a mark.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Try it. Oh, they've got loads. Straight up daffery, espresso martini. Mytile. You've drunk it really quick. And then you're steaming. Dirty martini. But you know, when you're socialising with friends and you're buying. drinks and it takes you like say half an hour to drink you drink one of them you white girl wasted like a buzzball then what do you do what percent is buzzball they are lethal I think I don't get those are lethal because of the sugar and I get this so quick that I wouldn't it wouldn't be good for me both balls are 15 I'd get black out off probably three wines four wines so I'd rather have the wine though than a little cat I don't know wine
Starting point is 00:13:21 it's fun it's fun drunk it's like abusive rude drunk right anyway So basically, just don't panic if it is that. And what was that cream you said? So Anna's wild yam cream. It was sold out everywhere, wasn't it? Yeah, I spoke about this. Was that, is that progesterone cream? Either estrogen or progesterone.
Starting point is 00:13:39 I don't know which one. I can't remember. But basically, I spoke about this cream ages ago because I heard, I think we were about 35 when we spoke about that. And I heard, like, you need to start using it now and you put it on your wrist and inside your, your... Verjuju.
Starting point is 00:13:56 No, like inside your thighs. Oh, I was going to shove it right on my thigh. The way I feel right now, I will put the whole tub up. We'll get you some, but I think you need to book to go and see a private guy now. So period-wise, I have had my periods. Lauren has never ever had a heavy period. Like, I've known Lauren for... Never had one.
Starting point is 00:14:17 15 years, yeah? And I've never... Longer. 17 years, I've known you. I've never had a heavy period in my life. We used to always say, like, we were so jealous of her because all of us would be like got a period, pair.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Yeah, and heavy bleeding. Even the mood swings, she didn't even have that. Nothing, nothing. I would use a tissue or didn't even need a tampon. She would never need to be prepared. Like, you wouldn't ask Lauren for a tampon or anything.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I just wouldn't have one because I wouldn't need one. And now, like, you're flooding. Yeah, really heavy periods. And it's not since having Tommy, I would say it's in the last three or four months. Bit of bleeding in between periods. I had some bleeding after sex. The Gotham Hotel people will know.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Not on the fluffy blanket. on the white sheet. Well, don't you be slagging off the high rocks lady? I'm sorry, I didn't know what to do. I just patted it, like, do, do, do, do. So all these things are going on. So bloating, I never bloat. I've started bloating.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I'm going to buy you those knickers that I've bought. So I'm thinking... And I told you to take the tablets, the bloating tablets. I know. I just forget to take everything. But anyway, so girls, if you're suffering with these weird things,
Starting point is 00:15:20 I'm now starting to think, could this be circumstantial? I've got a sleeping bit. I've got a hard baby. I've got lots of kids. We've got a lot going on. We've got a lot of pressure. We've got a Renault.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Oh. I think you've just put it all into the pot of once, Lauren. Or could it be parametopausal? I don't know. I don't know. Speaking of me losing my mind, there's a big debate. I think we've got like,
Starting point is 00:15:42 we should have a big chat on this because we're again a bit behind, but breastfeeding. So, oh, ooh. You never slag off the breastfeeding. Silly, silly, silly, silly.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Right. Let's start with this. So if you have been hiding under a rock, even I know about this, right? You sent it me before it went, as soon as it dropped, and she just sent it to me, the clips are basically sisters in the city. I actually really like those girls. We went on their podcast. And we, they were, do you know what? They were lovely. They were asking us so, weren't you pregnant with Tommy when we went on? No, you just got married like a week before. And we were having a chat with them. I didn't know. went on. You were freezing eggs, I didn't know. And they were saying to me, because I must have just had snow. We were talking about freezing eggs and stuff. And they were going to some clinics to try and freeze the eggs, or they were saying, what do we think of it?
Starting point is 00:16:39 And they were asking a lot of really nice motherhood questions. Which when I was doing IVF or, I don't know. I can't remember, but they were really intrigued by pregnancy motherhood. Pregnancy and having babies. They were really nice. They were lovely. They were lovely girls, right? We had a great episode.
Starting point is 00:16:54 You can go back and listen to it, actually. Yeah, it was lovely. God knows what we said. I can't remember now, but it was good. And I liked them, so I want to say that first. I like the girls. Anyway, Ashley, when the clip drops, so basically Mandy on one of their social clips like we do,
Starting point is 00:17:09 did a clip and it kind of starts with, can I just say something? I've got my own opinion here. I don't like women, I don't like to see women breastfeeding in public. It makes me feel weird. She was kind of going like, oh, uncomfortable. She was like, the baby's like, and the boobs are out and oh, I hate it, right?
Starting point is 00:17:23 And it makes my dad uncomfortable as well. So it was made as a clip. Ashley sent it me the second it dropped. And I didn't even need, she didn't say anything. I just was like, oh, girls fucking bad move. I think it's the fact that it was a clip, like drew a lot of attention to it. There's a lot of things around this, right? First of all, what was their producer thinking?
Starting point is 00:17:46 What? We didn't meet their producer when we went in. They're really good. Do you know what? They're really good because I think that when we went in. do you remember me and you were like girls this is sick they did everything themselves so maybe they don't have one so we went to theirs the chocolate factory yes they've moved studio now so we went to see them with christina and we went in and they set up two cannon cameras they did it themselves
Starting point is 00:18:12 they did it themselves they did back then i don't know now but somebody made the decision to put that online now first thing i would say is whoever's looking after them should have thought this is a bad move. You don't talk about women that breastfeed. And then there are loads of different layers to this. So first thing I will say, it's really hard in this industry to have an opinion and be outspoken
Starting point is 00:18:35 and people love you for that until you say an opinion that they don't love anymore. And then you're in the fucking shit. And it's really hard to be who you are and to have opinions and they might not be good ones or ones that people agree with
Starting point is 00:18:48 without people then cancelling you. So it's tough. I do think... There's an element of click bait as well. Like don't forget guys like we've got the randomest clips will go viral. Lucas explain the clip thing. I can't I can't expect I mean occasionally we have an idea like I think the PE one. Some people don't realize we've got an actual podcast they think it is just clips on Instagram rage baiting. Which I don't get. I know a lot of people do it. They think that though Lucas. So they've decided to do this
Starting point is 00:19:16 clip about the breastfeeding and we both knew that it was a bad move because if you straight away you go into the motherhood chat. You go into that section. Anything to do with kids. You are, having kids. It's risky. The second thing I'll say is what I don't think was fair was the response how badly she got it. The stitching of the videos is still ongoing now. I understand that people didn't agree with it. And I think what the better way to have dealt with it would have been to have said, listen, you're not a mom. You don't understand. So let me explain to you why you're an education. Let me educate you. you on this. That would have been better. She said, she did a statement yesterday that she was getting death threats, that she was scared to leave the house. Now, guys, I'll talk about why
Starting point is 00:20:01 actually think about it in a minute, but guys, this girl said an opinion that breastfeeding makes her feel funny. Let's be, let's just one minute not be giving death threats. Like, let's all sit down a second. However, when I was thinking about it this morning when I was doing my makeup, I don't agree with her. And I think breastfeeding is far. I don't even think anything of it. If I can get your tit out, don't. Yeah. It doesn't even cross my mind. I don't, I don't Fuck, whatever. I wouldn't even bat an eye left. But what I will say is I do,
Starting point is 00:20:29 I will say when I was a little bit younger before I had children, wouldn't say it made me feel uncomfortable, but I did find it quite fascinating. Fascinating. Alison, one of our friends. Yeah, and the only thing I found hard was knowing how to,
Starting point is 00:20:45 and that's a me problem, how to look, how to be around it to not make the woman feel uncomfortable. So do you still keep talking as normal? but don't look down. You know when someone says, don't look down, don't look down, don't look down.
Starting point is 00:20:55 So I found that a little bit like, do you all look down or not look down, that bit, but that's only because I didn't, I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable. And I think we just get used to it. And the other thing is, I wouldn't give a foot getting my tits out in front of my friends.
Starting point is 00:21:07 So this is the other thing. Or really in public. I feel like I can't have an opinion on how offensive that statement was because I've never breastfed. And I think unless I have breastfed, and I understand that. That's what your tits are for me.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Yeah, of course. feeding kids. But I've never breastfed so I can't, I might be a bit like, oh guys, we've really gone into town there but I've never breastfed so I can't tell you how offensive it was. Some people found it so incredibly offensive.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Anything to do with breastfeeding will always go viral though. Like there's that clip of that guy on the plane a few weeks ago as well where there's a lady breastfeeding the baby and he's like, put your breast away. Really? Yeah, and that went viral.
Starting point is 00:21:48 And at the end of the day, like my take on it is that's what your tits are for feeding baby. and just do what you want. But I do think people went, it's enough now. Like, and she's made a mistake. She's a public.
Starting point is 00:22:01 She said sorry. She said sorry. People speak in public and that's our job and sometimes you get it a little bit wrong. Yeah, like, I remember once a proposed clip, like, fuck I checked it that week, was me saying I had the baby's ears pierced and you were like, that's not right.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Oh. Do you remember that? Yeah. And you stood by that. And I was like, okay, fine. Me and Lauren all the time. Have a difference of opinions. And that's fine.
Starting point is 00:22:29 But if that had got made into a clip, I would have got absolutely... You've got to be careful with these clips. So I do feel for a bit, but I do at the same time think there's a lot of women that probably go out and they need to feed the baby and they're really uncomfortable and embarrassed
Starting point is 00:22:44 and then they see a clip like that. It's not fucking great, is it to help people just wanting to feed the baby? But it leads me onto something even that I can't get my head round. I'm not against it. I'm just interested in... Right, there was two mums on...
Starting point is 00:22:59 Was on this morning? That breastfeed each other's babies? Not as a regular, I don't think. But basically one... Two, bless you. It's like margarita. Is it strong? So strong.
Starting point is 00:23:12 But basically one had been looking after the other's baby and the baby was hungry and the mum was a breastfeeding mum so you can't just whap out of all. So she texted her, I think, and was like, and was like, your baby's hungry. I'm breastfeeding mine. Would you like me to feed your baby?
Starting point is 00:23:29 I think that's amazing. And the friend replied, like, if you don't mind. And the friend, the breastfed the other person's baby. Then I looked at the comment and it was like a big thing and they were saying why it's milk. Like, does it matter? We drink cow's milk. Like, why are you asked?
Starting point is 00:23:44 The only thing I thought was a bit different is it's milk. But I think I'd just be jealous because it's quite a, yeah it releases a lot of um endorphins when you're quite it's like a thingy moment but then it's a bon thing yeah so i think i'd be a bit jealous but it got me thinking but you know if you're on antibiotics you your breast milk goes like if you've got an infection in your body your breast milk changes colour straight away to warn you like not to feed the baby and isn't it true that if the baby's got if you've got something and you've got the antibodies or your bit it will give it There's loads, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Breast is best. That's what our boobs are there for. And if you can, you really... And you want to. And you want to, again, your body, your eyes. Yeah, it's amazing. But I have to, again, am I going to do Amanda here? I'm not against it.
Starting point is 00:24:38 I just haven't seen much of it. The thought of like everyone, people breastfeeding each other's babies, that's wild to me. Not because it's wrong, guys, not because it's wrong. I've just never seen it. It's a standard like back in the day thing. Yeah, it was a back in the day thing. So then someone told me that night.
Starting point is 00:24:51 night nannies, if you had a night nurse, night nurse, that's what they were called. You would have a lady that was also lactating. So she was getting pregnant at the same time. When you stop when the baby stops. Supply and demand. Like Tamara Eccleston, didn't she breastfeed her babies till they were five? Quite a lot. Can you fact check that?
Starting point is 00:25:11 So what she got, she got shit for that. Yeah, she did. You can't one. So what they used to do is you would have your night nurse and they would breastfeed, look after your baby. throughout the night, but they would breastfeed it as well. Right, here's a question. You're, any night nannies that you've ever had? I've asked her the question already because I am so, if they, yeah, tomorrow I'll still, wow. So if, let me ask you this. If you, you're,
Starting point is 00:25:38 one of your night nannies that you've had over the past, if they had breastfed, if they had booby milk, would you through the night have said, feed my kid for me as well? Absolutely. Would you? Why do I? I don't find it. Nothing wrong before anyone was that. I just, I just, I just, I just can't have heard. I put fucking stem cells in my face. Like, yeah. Of course I'm gonna put breast milk in a baby. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:26:01 It's like the most natural thing. But is everyone's breast milk not different and made for their baby. I don't, I don't know, this is just a question. Milk is milk. I just thought it was like, your DNA. If you drank wine or had a fag or whatever, that would be in it as well.
Starting point is 00:26:15 It's like you need to trust someone. Yeah, you'd have to trust them. A surrogate. You'd have to trust them. It's that like DNA thing. Yeah, because at the same time, like, we all drink like... Totally, yeah. ...com and cow.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Yeah, yeah. So I asked my night, nanny said, what is the deal with when a mother is breastfeeding and you... Oh, involved, yeah. Yeah. And she said, what she does is the mum, she checks that the baby is feeding every three hours. They go from three to four, don't they? So mine's still on three on three. Three, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And what she'll do is, even if the mum is asleep, she comes in, taps the mum, and she holds the baby to the breast. So the mum's like, say, sleeping, she'll bring in the baby. And she'll get the woman's breast out. Yeah. Or she'll latch it on. Oh, and say it needs to feed.
Starting point is 00:27:13 And then she sits, like, on the floor and waits and then takes the baby away. But then, What's the point having a night nanny if you're still gonna get woke up every three hours? Do you get me? So a lot of money to pay to still be walking up. I personally, if I was breastfeeding, wouldn't need a night, nanny. No, because then you're like, for me, it's the faffing around of the getting the sterilized bottle, going downstairs, switching the light on, and then you're like, it's not just a quick job when you've got bottles.
Starting point is 00:27:38 And then before you know it, they're up again. Yeah. So yeah, I get that. Exactly. And like, you're going downstairs, you're getting the bottle. Like, as a rigmarole. Would you, so would you let a night and I feed with their breastfeeding? I'd co-sleep and just have the weird babba on my boobie. Yeah, because you can just wipe it out.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Anyway, guys, like, if we've said anything, God, it's scary, isn't it? If they said anything wrong, blah, well, but it's just interesting. We've got loads of questions about that. Have you ever breastfed anyone else's baby? What would you think of it? Have you ever been a night nurse?
Starting point is 00:28:07 Have you ever been a night nurse? If anyone's been a night nurse and breastfed babies with their boobies, let me know. Right, guys, we're going to go into the break, and then we are coming back, and we've got more chitty-chati. Guys, we are back. So I've got a mouthful of marvellous creation.
Starting point is 00:28:29 How good is that? When I'm talking about, Oh my God, another weird thing, after we had that chat about Cabri World, someone that night put a picture in saying my partner works at Cabri World. Oh yeah, they did. I thought you were going to say you got a VIP in life.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Well, you know, after I said about that Santa's place, they said me a PR night, that next day. No, the universe. And it wasn't planned, I swear. Burking, burking, burking, Birkin, Rolls Roy, Stambigini. Please.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Right, so we know that Ashley is ahead of the game with everything, it seems, and we didn't even know this. So Ashley made up a few weeks ago about a Barbie peptide. You know, just a bit of light human. I literally was taking the piss, and Lauren bless her, believed me, and I said, have you heard of the Barbie peptide?
Starting point is 00:29:18 Makes your ass fight, it makes your tits big. It makes you glow. It gives you gorgeous tiny waist. Tiny waist. Plastic skin finish. But it wasn't true. Now, on Instagram, we have seen there is actually one called the Barbie peptide. So I'm going to tell you what's in it
Starting point is 00:29:35 and I'm going to give you what I know about this. So the Barbie Clow, the call in it. With a K. Advanced tanning and skin regeneration. So it's got melanotan in it. It's got GHKCU, which is copper. It's got BPC-157, which is for healing. It's got TB 500, KPV and vitamin B12.
Starting point is 00:29:56 So here is my, I'm not going to get mega into the peptides because people get like arrested and shit. But first thing I would say, guys don't fucking take melanetan. Please dear God. Melanatan. You feel like it was out ages ago. I used to inject it years ago.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Like, no, like 15 years ago, she did. I used to inject tannis. It's not a new thing. It's not cool. Tanners have been around for fucking ages. We all know someone who's always been. I was the color of that table when I took it. And it's like a dirty gray.
Starting point is 00:30:30 That sounds awful to say. No, you can tell. Their eyes get like yellow. Inside of your lips go purple. So I took it years ago. Do you remember me and Kaylee absolutely smashed it? Kaylee went so dark. What it does is it kind of fires up the melanocytes thing they're called in your body,
Starting point is 00:30:47 which creates a tan. However, that also can create pigmentation. It can also add. Freckles, moles. Your moles. So say, you've got a mull or a freckle or a tiny bit of pigment, it will stick to it and they go that dark, they look blue. Yeah, I honestly, girls don't take it. Like, just fucking don't get, and all, yeah,
Starting point is 00:31:09 it's not cool. Get some beta libriata. Yeah, don't take it. Then you've got your copy, GHKCCU, everyone's like buzzing on that. BPC-157 repairs muscle, very good. TB 500, which encourages salary generation. So I guess for anti-aging, that could be good. There's an anti-inflammatory in there. then you've got your B12. Um, I mean, if you want to take it. I talk just B12 for a bit,
Starting point is 00:31:30 like consistently, and it made my skin horrendous. Everything's got a bit of a side effect, hasn't it? I don't, I'm not sure about this Barbie one, but the Milanatam, don't take it.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I just think that the way that it's marketed, it's the way it's marketed, it's really gimmicky and like... Deep natural tan. No, no, no, no, we don't want this. Would you have to go on the sunbat to get the top? That wouldn't, well, you would, this is the problem,
Starting point is 00:31:54 because then it would, push you to go on a sunbed, wouldn't it? Because you'd start getting that tan addiction and you'd think, oh, I'm not going away, but I can understand why a tan addiction would be an easy thing to fall into. I used to have a terrible tan addiction. Terrible. I used to absolutely love being brown.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I was never brown enough. I'd look in the mirror and think, not brown enough. Yeah, it was so bad. And now all I want is like a clean white face with no color on. And I can't get it now because I fucked about. So don't use these tanners. Fuck around. Find out.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Find out. And I did find out. right what we bought this week I am going to tell you Ashley did her list last week I'm going to fly through mine you're going to take the piss that you might not now
Starting point is 00:32:31 because you think I'm too sensitive so you might be really careful with this or you might take the pistol right sculpted by Amy I love them I've told you I love that brand I got their blush and their cream bronzer
Starting point is 00:32:41 Did you get it off shop might yeah I did too highly I really like sculpted by Amy it's like a creamy juey look with everything and I just love the rage She'd be a good podcast
Starting point is 00:32:50 She's done really well Irish Irish yeah Um, I got a necklace from Hadia, London. Is that how you pronounce it? Oh, a gorgeous friend. Yes. Have you ever seen someone that pretty in your life? Rendell Colby, she has got a brand. She's the prettiest girl, guys. Like, at Alex searching it. She's lovely. Do you know how Lauren said she left the house wearing? Yes. Like, worn in pajamas, glasses, but I la. Rendal Colby wouldn't have that in her. No, never. No. Never. She's gorgeous. Anyway, she has.
Starting point is 00:33:24 has a jewelry brand, Hadia, I think that's how you pronounce it, London, and I've got like a gold necklace with, like, little letters. It's really nice because I love a gold jewel, as we know. So check her out, because I love that. Speaking of gold jewelry, the only reason this is on my list, right, is because despite that girl over there and a few of my other friends. Monster.
Starting point is 00:33:43 And a few of my other friends that have laughed at me for this. I have a ring that everyone asks me where it's from. I'm sorry they do, and it's from my friend's brand, Ruby Rose E. She's gorgeous. So it says Mama on it. You may as well say breastfeeding. I get it. I get what you say.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Mama. I get it. As soon as people fucking find out they're pregnant. I get it. And you buy matching mugs saying, Mommy and Daddy and Mama. I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:34:14 But I still, I just like the, it's lovely. I have a theory to tell you by the way. And she sent it me. Now her jewelry brand is called Last Drop Jewelry. And this is for breath.
Starting point is 00:34:23 She started it for breastfeeding moms that are going to finish their last breastfeeding and they don't, they want to make a mark of it. So it's like jewelry, listen, the jewelry's gorgeous and I really like it and I really like my bracelet. And what is it like tarnish free? It's golden, yeah, it's golden. It feels really good quality. It's lovely. So everyone asks me where it's from. I just think mama, like, I get it. I get what you're saying, but I like it. And it's
Starting point is 00:34:44 your era that you're in. It's the era I'm in right now. And it's last drop jewelry. Go and have a look because the jewelry is really, really nice. Not going to pull wearing that. So especially if you're a breastfeeding, if you're a breastfeeding person go on that. Well, it would be woman, wouldn't it? Right, H&M. Ladies. H&M, Marino, wool, thin, high-nex-offs.
Starting point is 00:35:02 You need one ever year? Well, for Fian-L, have you seen all the shit about wool with H&M? What have I done, whoa? Petter. Falkie now. New York Fashion Week. Right. They got, yeah, like, stormed.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Oh, no, the owner of cause. Oh, he held her down. The owner of Coz, have you seen that. so fucking bad. And we love cars. We love our cars. We do. I love my shirt.
Starting point is 00:35:29 So basically. They're in Selfridges now on the top floor. Was it a Peter, what they call them? Activist. Went on the cause runway and was holding up her thing and giving it some. And Google look on TikTok. He's like holding her isn't he? He holds his hand over her mouth.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Anyway. The Marino Wall. The Marino Wall. Not Petro approved. Not Petro approved. Every year I go and get one for me. H&M, it's like 45 quid. And whenever we wear them, because we both wear them, we always get asked.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Where's your top from? Yeah, it's either normally from. Where's it normally from? Massimodudi. Yeah. This one's H&M. It's kind of slightly high neck. It's see-through, it's thin, it's soft.
Starting point is 00:36:11 You can wear a bra with it. The northern pants. This one is really nice. I had the brown one. You can wear it with leather pants, jeans, whatever. It's a staple this winter that you get a thin, see-through, like wool top. I've got my Tria laser. It's, so the tree of laser is, I am working with them by the way, but I did get one.
Starting point is 00:36:30 And basically, it's laser hair removal, not IPL. Yeah. So it's 230 something percent stronger. No, I know. I went for a meeting with them and they were showing us the results, but it doesn't work on blonde hair. No, not many of them do. You have to have some pigment. But they were very honest about that.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Yeah, yeah, it says it on the thing. You can do it on your face as well, so we're going to do practice some books on games. I've got the laser face. Face. They're laser. I've got it as well. Haven't used it. Mate, it kind of hurts a bit, but that makes me think it's doing something. It must be good. I haven't used it because I thought Charlotte will kill me. The before and afters.
Starting point is 00:37:03 It's good on pigment, isn't it? On some types of pigment. Wow. They have another laser as well, but I'm not going to say, because I've not used it, so I don't want people to use it and then be like, may, me, so maybe we'll try that. We've been sent a couple of devices recently to try. Yeah. Some of them not for me. Some of them not great, but some, and also, we will always be really honest.
Starting point is 00:37:19 We're really lucky that we've worked with the beauty tech group for ages. So they always pre-release send it to us a couple of weeks before so we get to like properly. Yeah, I've tried. That one that we've tried recently is good. That's good. I've tried a couple and I wouldn't say who it is because I feel like that's mean like we don't need to do that. But that I was like that's not good. It's not good. So we'll only, we like to use the ones we like, don't we? And do you know what? It's a mix of like long lasting resource and instant. Yeah. And you've got to be honest about which one it's going to be. But like, you know, I'm The problem did that video with the Zip the other day.
Starting point is 00:37:54 The Zit's great for infant. Before I do bride on makeup, this is what I do. Do you sit, the Zip to wake my skin up? Yeah, yeah. And it does. Yeah, I agree with that. But you've got to be like long term. Is it going to, you've got to understand what it's for, haven't you?
Starting point is 00:38:07 And I think that's a big thing. Like it's not going to be a face lift. No, laser hair removal, though, gets rid of it. And the good thing about that is, right, with the at home stuff, is after my pregnancy, I got hairy again. I'm not going back to the clinic, I can't fucking time.
Starting point is 00:38:19 On money. Oh, money. It's so expensive. Anyway, Lauren Trier, get your discount on that. Other thing, only just started, going to be honest, hair shampoo that you told me to get. Did you buy the Give Me One?
Starting point is 00:38:33 Finally. So, I heard about the Give Me stuff because one of my friends is a top tier one of our friends. She's lovely. Beauty buyer. And I was asking her about shampoo and conditioner. And my words, literally to her, was,
Starting point is 00:38:50 do you not just think they're all the same. Yeah. And she said to me, no, there is this brand. It's called Give Me. The packaging is not very you. Yeah. Literally, sorry, give me. Yeah, no way you agree.
Starting point is 00:39:05 But it's the best shampoo conditioner hair products that I've used. At the price point as well that it's at, which is really, really good. Really good. And very accessible. I have it for the girls. It's literally in my grotti shower right now. They have the pink one. I think I can't remember what it is.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Pink and purple. one my kids love. And the girls love it because it's cute and pink. I know it's good for the hair. It's got no shit in it. But also, I'm going to be honest, I'm not spending a fortune on the kid shampoo. I'm just fucking not.
Starting point is 00:39:32 No. And it's not expensive. Detangling spray. Yeah. I'm real. And Fia's now into a slick back as well. So she's been using, yeah, anyway. But the range that you...
Starting point is 00:39:40 The re-code. Yeah. Right. So this recode range, I'm pretty sure, by the way, you guys, I do work with them, but I work with them because it's so... Look at my hair.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Since I've been using it, growing, glowing, like glossy, and honestly, better than a carastass. Do you think? I would go as far as it. Well, I've used it because I said, we were talking about working with them and I was like, I know Ashley believes in it, which is great, but I have different hair.
Starting point is 00:40:10 I've got thinner hair. I've got different hair to Ashley, so let me try it first and see if it works for me. And I fucking need that. Me and Lauren, we've got quite, fine hair, we colour our hair so we need that nourishing bond repair. Oh my god yeah. Um, and basically you can buy it in a set. Shampoo, conditioner, the bond repair mask and the oil. Yes. Four items. And it's like, what, like 40, 50 quits? It's honestly, it's not expensive. I'm done with
Starting point is 00:40:41 paying now and again for a hero product. I will. But I'm sick of paying an absolute fortune when actually some of the, um, some of the way that it's made, often it's very similar to the, expensive ones. Well, I've got a hair highlight on my Instagram. It's in there. Give me recode bond. Right, guys, we're going to go into the break. We're coming back with a dilemma.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Girls, we are back and we've got a little dilemma for you. We've got rights in this situation. We were not when we've just been saying that we've done such a long day and we were like, not when we are HR. Right, let's do this little dilemma here. So, ooh, I think this is going to be a good one. Girls, I don't know if I'm being Dululu or if I'm being Gaslit. We've recently found out
Starting point is 00:41:29 We are pregnant. Don't say we. You're not both pregnant. You are. This is a pet hated man. People love that. We've recently found out that we are pregnant. And my mother-in-law was saying to my husband,
Starting point is 00:41:39 she can't wait to be in the delivery room, see the birth, etc. From previous conversations, my husband I have had, I've made it very clear that I only want him and my mum in the delivery room. He has now gone on a tangent about how I haven't even thought about it from his point of view.
Starting point is 00:41:56 mate you'll be sat at the end of fucking doing nothing. He's giving her voice through his mouth. Yes. And how she makes an effort and I can't believe I'm depriving her of this. I even explained you can't have more than two people in the room anyway. And he's done his research and found out you can actually get an exception. I feel utterly sick about this
Starting point is 00:42:15 and I'm so worried about bringing a baby into this if it's this bad already. I don't know what to do. We got married in May and I just can't believe it's all just been assumed. Right. So she's saying here that she's worried about bringing a baby into this if it's already bad. You're already pregnant, hon. So let's just get on with that.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Also, I think your hormones will be annoying you. What would you do? I would tackle it head on. Right now, before this carries on for any longer and ruins your experience and makes you worry and all that kind of thing. It sounds to me like you've just said, the mother-in-law is in his ear and he's...
Starting point is 00:42:54 You always know when someone, Someone's been in someone's ick. Because of the tone. They use certain words. The tone and you think you didn't write that on. He won't be asked. No, I think he's probably just sick of his mum fucking moaning. So he's like, if I can fix this, that she says, yes, everyone's happy.
Starting point is 00:43:11 And also, she'll be like, boo-hwing to him. Yeah. So like Lauren said, dealing with it head on, like literally sent her a text, meet in a public space and make sure you push your belly out. So you look really visibly pregnant because no one's going to shout. out of a pregnant person in public. In public. And just be like, guys want to chat
Starting point is 00:43:32 and just be like, listen, like, it's a really intimate moment. Yeah. If one of my kids was giving birth, oh shit, me and you would wanna be there. Oh yes, I would, but it's not the boy. No, so if Tommy's wife was giving birth, and I probably would still like to be there, but I wouldn't be allowed.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Lauren, you'd be at the window. So this is how I think you have a chat with it. and you just say, instead of letting this carry on as a, it's let's draw a line and you say to her directly because she might be giving it me, me, me, to him, is she going to give it to you? You sit down and you say, I love you to a bit. I'm so grateful for everything that you've done.
Starting point is 00:44:07 But, like, this is so intimate for me. I'm only going to have them to, but what I will do for you, you can come straight afterwards, like I've got no problem with that. Yeah, solutions. I'll give you a solution. Give her a shit sandwich. And then just stare at her. Don't give her the chance to argue.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Don't give her that you say, I've made the decision. Do you know what else? A little one is, a little bit, whatever the word is. but a bit manipulative. I'd say, I like that. Yeah, I would be like, I have severe anxiety around birth and around anyone being near my private parts.
Starting point is 00:44:37 I'm really anxious about it and the thought of anyone being in the room when I'm so vulnerable, I have this really bad anxiety over birth. But that's not actually a lot. No, it's not a lie, but push on that. What's she gonna say? I have anxiety over somebody seeing my vagina or whatever. And tits, stand up.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Yeah, and I'm finding it really, really uncomfortable. Get a told now, get him told now, and then that's it. I don't think you're being unreasonable. It's your body, you're going to have your legs a kimbo. You may shit yourself. You can have in that room, who the fuck you mom? Like, I would honestly say like, that's for you too. You'd be there.
Starting point is 00:45:11 I'll go and sit outside. And if you decide you want me, I'll be there. You ring me and I'll come in. I remember when I was in labour with theatre. There's too many people in there. There's a lot going on. I was in labour with theatre. And I remember my mum, because she was always going to be there.
Starting point is 00:45:22 But I remember ringing me and being like, how are you getting on? Do you need me to set off? And I remember just being like, do you know what? No, I'm good at the minute. She said she was pacing, waiting for me to give her the call. And I was like, I'm all right for now. Two hours later, I rang her screaming. Get here, no! I'm going to die!
Starting point is 00:45:40 And she came. So, there we go. I think you're not being out of order. You don't need your mother-in-law there. All right, guys, thank you so much for listening. get in touch Hello at nivtukpod.com That is a direct email address to Lukeie Luke
