Starting point is 00:00:00 A.I. Funk. Adam Curry. John C. DeVore. It's Thursday, January 4th, 2024. This is your award-winning K-1 Asian Media Assassination Episode 1622. This is no agenda. Dodging the distraction and broadcasting live from the heart of the Texas Hill Country here in FEMA Region No. 6.
Starting point is 00:00:19 In the morning, everybody. I'm Adam Curry. And from Northern Silicon Valley, where i'm wondering the difference between abro sexuality gender fluidity and being starved for attention i'm john c devorek gotta tighten it up john gotta tighten it up just a bit gotta tighten it up a little tighter a little tighter now what were those sex abrogation no abro sexuality abro sexual what is ab okay i give up what is of course you do what is abro sexuality if you look it up no i'm not gonna it it basically means what used to be called
Starting point is 00:01:02 gender fluidity. Oh. But they had to come up with a new term for some unknown reason. Oh, that makes no, well, that makes no sense. And so there's an article floating around the net with... Remember when we said that in 1992? So there's an article floating around the net showing this goofy looking girl saying i've been abro sexual all these years and i never knew what it meant oh no and uh i look at what who i never heard of this and so i look into it and it's
Starting point is 00:01:39 ah just another it's another desire it's it's it's a cry for help you know let's just let's just be honest about it you were on tiktok again no no this was not on tiktok this was a an article floating around the net the net i think we just got to keep that in where'd you find it was floating around the net that's exactly what we used to say floating around the net yeah floating around yes remember the net ah the good old days of the net the net the net remember our slip and ppp connections to get onto the net yes i do as a matter of fact you're you have your windsock stack ah the good old days and i remember there always, if you get any company back in the early on, like in the nineties,
Starting point is 00:02:28 there's always one person, usually a woman who was the expert at surfing the net. Yes. In a company. Yeah. She's the expert. Was it really all the woman? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:02:42 I think in the beginning, my experience has always been a woman who is an expert. She was the person. She's the go-to gal. In the company. Yeah. And she was probably the same person who could also make the printer work. Just guessing.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Just guessing. Just guessing. Needs new toner. What? Well, it was wonderful to see. It was fantastic. Pretty much everybody fell for it, and it worked very, very well. The Distraction of the Week on the World's Gender Court.
Starting point is 00:03:18 That's right, everybody. The Distraction of the Week rolled out. We're just beginning to dive into the more than 900 pages of court records involving Epstein and his associates. This is the first time deposition transcripts and other confidential material previously kept under wraps is coming out. Some of the more familiar names here, Lester, are former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Attorney Alan Dershowitz, Magician David Copperfield, Governor Bill Richardson. Now, we're reaching out to comment to these men, but none of them have been charged criminally
Starting point is 00:03:51 with any ties to Epstein's victims, and many in the past have denied wrongdoing. Oh, man. X was on fire. Mix was on fire. It was crazy. It's like, this is the the list who's on the list listed nothing the list oh yeah it's all about the list the list the list yeah that's the list everybody pay attention to the list but of course we saw a couple things happen you even had in the in the newsletter first we had the unredacted flight logs.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Extra pages. No, this is not, this is the client list. How unredacted is every half of the other, half the people blanked out? Yeah. The client list. I was like, what is a client list? What does that even mean?
Starting point is 00:04:45 Is it like the invoices or something? Does he have a copy of TurboTax? We can see the client list. Everyone was all over. Oh, this was my favorite story about the list. Oh, no, not Jimmy Kimmel. Well, NFL New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers actually suggested live on ESPN's air yesterday that comedian and host Jimmy Kimmel will be on Jeffrey Epstein's client list,
Starting point is 00:05:14 which is expected to be released later this week. Let's watch. Bring it up. Bring it up, Foxy, or somebody back there. Seats on it. You have Super Bowl 58. You'll see it. The emblem put on the screen.
Starting point is 00:05:24 And then bring up 57 and 56. Does that have something to do with the Epstein list that came out? Feels like it. You have Super Bowl 58. You'll see it. The emblem put on the screen. And then bring up 57 and 56. Does that have something to do with the Epstein list that came out? Feels like it. That's supposed to be coming out soon. That's supposed to be coming out soon. Look at this guy. He's been waiting in his wine cellar. I've been waiting in my wine cellar for this thing.
Starting point is 00:05:38 A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are really hoping that doesn't come out. Bye! Obviously, a clip from this particular program was run on Jimmy Including Jimmy Kimmel. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen. No, please. All right. The list. Obviously, a clip from this particular program was run on Jimmy Kimmel's show. Whenever Aaron brought up the list and then Jimmy mocked him for it, Aaron has not forgotten about that. But here we are sitting right in front of that nice bottle of scotch.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Kimmel slammed Rogers over these accusations, writing on X, Dear A-hole, for the record, I've not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any list other than the clearly phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can't seem to distinguish from reality your reckless words put my family in danger keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court as of this recording we're still waiting on the release of that full list rogers and kimmel have history they don't like each other whatever so everyone's all over the i'm stunned everyone's all over the list. I'm stunned. Everyone's all over the... That clip showed up on your behalf. Oh, well, it actually showed up for a different reason. But here's a question.
Starting point is 00:06:53 David Copperfield on the list, which is not a list. In fact, it was... That was the list. Where's the list? There's no list, but it's the list. It's the list. People making a list. But if David Copperfield was on the list, why didn't he make the list disappear i'm very disappointed in his skill
Starting point is 00:07:09 groan groan so this is what it was first we had to tease everybody keep everybody a little pre-distracted with the uh with the extra 40 pages because president trump dropped a document that's why everyone was distracted with the so-called list give them lots of pages to look at give them lots to read at we'll just make sure oh this is with copperfield oh it's jimmy kim lib there's a very good documentary piece of uh what does he call it actually summary of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election in the swing states have you have you seen this document yeah it's it's a beauty it's really good i mean it shows all the fraud that went on with counts, recounts, machines that didn't have any receipts, no digital receipts, in-person ballots cast that were wrong. I mean, everything about this.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Dead people. A lot of dead people. And it's a big list. It's really the swing states, but it's big. A lot about Georgiaorgia of course and nothing nothing on the m5m and very little actually on uh on x and all other places because everybody was distracted by the list which is nothing people this is sex sex versus you know voter fraud let me weigh the two which is going to get the most attention sex or voter fraud well i think sex wins that one i mean when you when you look at
Starting point is 00:08:54 when you and there's literally nothing but yeah the only thing they had on the m5m was you know they brought some guy out who wrote a book about you know how trump paid him to to go and verify everything and trump lied and paid him to lie and you know so they brought that guy on a couple of times i won't even bore you with that that was pretty funny um let's see did we have no i don't even think oh wait yeah I did have. You want to hear Epstein clips just for yucks or you want to skip it since it's done? Well, if they're for yucks, I'll listen. Yeah, for yucks. Let's listen to this. This morning, we're learning why attorneys wanted to depose former President Clinton in a now settled defamation case relating to allegations against sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his one time paramour Ghislaine Maxwell. A paramour. I love the term paramour. Will you be my paramour? Please be my paramour.
Starting point is 00:09:49 We know that Clinton has been publicly associated with Epstein before. The first batch of previously sealed court documents related to Epstein were made public last night. One from a lawsuit filed by Virginia Gouffre. She's one of the women who say they were abused at Epstein's home in Florida, New York, and on a private Caribbean island. Gouffre's attorneys sought to depose Clinton as part of her 2016 lawsuit against Epstein's former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, because her attorneys argued Clinton is a key person who can provide information about his close relationship with Maxwell and Epstein and disapprove Maxwell's claims. This is just the
Starting point is 00:10:23 first of what's coming out about these names that have been associated with Jeffrey Epstein for a long time. Gouffre made no allegations of wrongdoing against Clinton, contradicting a previous claim when she said she flew with Clinton and the Secret Service in a helicopter. According to Maxwell's unsealed deposition, she said the allegations that Clinton had dinner on Epstein's private island were 100% false.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Without Virginia Gouffre's lawsuit, this stuff wouldn't have been exchanged because it was relevant to the claims. And now the court has decided there's no good basis to keep this stuff under wraps from the public. After Epstein's arrest in 2019, a Clinton spokesperson denied the former president knew about Epstein's crimes, denied Clinton was ever on Epstein's island, and said Clinton had not communicated with Epstein in more than a decade. Also in the documents, deposition from a witness who said she met Michael Jackson and magician David Copperfield during her time with Epstein. Epstein died in jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019. His death was ruled a suicide.
Starting point is 00:11:21 The only thing that was really kind of funny about all this was Dershowitz. He's a perv. Dershowitz is all over the place. The funny thing about the Dershowitz thing is that if you look at the flight logs, and I kind of went over because I was kind of curious. You went over the flight logs. So I'm looking at everything is all initials and code names except Alan Dershowitz spelled out in all caps.
Starting point is 00:11:47 I know. I found that to be a little peculiar. And the other thing that's peculiar about the flight logs is they seem to have spent as much time and has never discussed. But that flight with Maxwell and a couple of other girlfriends and Epstein, they were spending most of their time in Palm Beach. Or not Palm Beach, but Palm Springs. Yeah, of course. Good to hang out. The whole thing is stupid.
Starting point is 00:12:13 And every network, all this attention paid to it. And where's Elon Musk talking about the voter fraud? I thought he was all about that. I thought it was all about fair elections. No, no, shh. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. No, instead, what do we have promoted on? Well, Trump is exonerated because he didn't he didn't have sex with anybody. He just he just, you know, just met him for dinner. minute i heard about the list i'm looking at the other way what's going on and trump comes out with
Starting point is 00:12:47 this and it's in the show notes if anyone cares to take a look at it no one cares it's well documented he would have won easily they they really and you know the worst part is you can't trust elections at all it's not about democrats cheating better than republicans this particular 2020 this particular cycle you can't trust any of it we have that our elections are bogus i'm not going to argue the point because i live in california where they're obviously bogus but worse than california is washington state with that moron governor they have up there was like just a dork. And he's doing, you know, he acts like a dictator.
Starting point is 00:13:29 And because it's 100% mail-in ballots, it's ridiculous. It's just complete fraud up there. Washington State is, you know, you have to have, people have to be able to go to a polling place. They have to fill out a ballot that's a paper ballot that is collected and stored and can be recounted.
Starting point is 00:13:48 That's the only way you can do it legitimately. And they do it in big countries that way. But no, no, we can't do it that way. We have to have this and that and machines and computers. Let's do it online. Let's have it on the Internet. And the thing is that people don't care you're absolutely right hey i'd rather look at the list who's on the list oh jimmy kimmel oh he was friends with
Starting point is 00:14:11 epstein chef he must know something he can't be totally in the dark pathetic it's pathetic really is just sad yeah and if it wasn't well i do have one kind of an epstein clip which is just a one of it's like it might kind of complain about um about your buddy over there in texas uh my buddy which buddy uh joe rogan alex jones alex jones alex jones okay so alex re-released an old clip that he made uh i don't know why it bothered but he put it on x because he's back on x and twitter and so this is he does i just want to play a little bit of it because i realized that alex the problem i've always had with him is that he'll just say stuff that's wrong. And he, for example, he says, he says, here we are at the end. I don't have this part on the clip, but I can assure you can go back and listen to it.
Starting point is 00:15:11 He says, here is Epstein's seven story townhouse. He says seven stories. And then they, when they bring the camera up, it's clearly three stories, three, not even five. And then he's got a couple other little gimme things in here that just make no sense but bill gates who took control of all the major world health departments the planet bill gates not on the list oddly bill gates not on any any of the any of the documents of the depositions nothing weird bill gates who is trying to force inoculations on us to bring in a world dictatorship, a world economy, a world social credit score, a world ID.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Bill Gates was, evidence shows, in charge of Jeffrey Epstein. And that's why Jeffrey Epstein had to die. There were people above Bill Gates. So we're here in New York City to investigate the roots of how the corruption and how the blackmail operates and to expose it. But it is those doors that Prince Andrew was famously photographed staring out as young women came in and out. It's those doors that famously Bill Gates was caught going into and having parties. It's those doors that the system didn't want us to know about because they wanted to use that blackmail with that control to control the people that control our lives and remember many of the people that came to be compromised here and to engage in sex crimes did it as a gang initiation you've all
Starting point is 00:16:35 heard of crips and bloods they got to either kill another member of the other gang or like shoot some innocent person that works at a liquor store you've heard about the mexican mafia you've heard the italian mafia the hillbillies all of them have to commit a crime to be part of the club. But in prison, you get killed if you're a pedophile. Nobody puts up with that going after children. This is the ultimate cult because to get in their cult, you've got to abuse children. And that's what this facility is about. That's why Bacchus, the Roman god of debauchery and evil, is above the door. And up on the top, there's images of little naked children dancing.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Okay, first of all, Bacchus is the god of agriculture. The Roman god of agriculture and winemaking. You stickler for details. And debauchery is actually a term that was developed in the 1500s from the French word debauchee. I'm going to text Alex right away and tell him that he is wrong. And it's just this kind of thing that bothers me. He calls a three-story building a seven-story building. He claims Bill Gates was in charge of the whole operation.
Starting point is 00:17:39 That'll be the day. And then he goes on with it. Well, hold on. this one little detail. You don't know any more than he does if Bill Gates was in charge of any operation or not. Believe me. Bill Gates is not in charge of
Starting point is 00:17:57 an international blackmailing operation involving international spy operations. I just don't know. Youolving international spy operations. I just don't know. You act like you know him. I do know him and I know what he's capable of and that's not one of the things he can do or would do. But he's one of the main peons in the New World Order.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Well, that may be true in some way. Okay. Who do you think is the mastermind behind bill gates because he can't do anything if he can't if he can't even blackmail people with with sex what can he do that's the easiest thing to do you know the funny thing is at the beginning of this spiel jones goes on about the people are running the world and and he says the Club of Rome, which is impossible. Yeah. Club of Rome may have something to do with a lot of this. The Committee of 300. And then he says the British royal family.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Yeah, the reptiles, of course. But he never associates the possibility that Prince Andrew, who's always in there. Oh, that he's pulling the strings. That he's the real guy running the whole thing. Oh, well, I'll take that as a possibility. Okay, I'm's, that he's, that he's pulling the strings. That he's the real guy running the whole thing. Oh, well, I'll take that as a possibility.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Okay. I'm done. As a possibility. So, you know, people should know John and I never talk in between shows, quite frankly, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:15 after three and a half hours, twice a week, we're kind of done. Sick of each other. Sick of each other. John sends me his clips. I don't listen to them. I do look at the,
Starting point is 00:19:23 just at the titles and we have a lot of overlap in topics. I don't listen to them. I do look at the, just at the titles. And we have a lot of overlap in topics. I don't think we have overlap in clips, overlap in topics. So if you don't mind, I'll kick one off. And then you can pick it up because I see you have a number of clips. This is about the border crisis. As we know that, you know, there's what is happening here in the United States is policy. Policy is to allow people in, catch and release, parole, get work permits, temporary protective status. Let them vote.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Let them vote. The estimates are 10,000 people coming into the country. Before I even go in, it was interesting. into the country before i even go in it was interesting um one of the uh one of the stepdaughters uh calls yesterday says hey i'm thinking about moving to london or the eu and uh you know try my luck over there i said oh that's great have you thought about what it takes to get a visa huh yeah you can't just enter it's not the expected answer no but but people don't even i think because you if you live in america it's like you've already been given this kind of this programming that well you know if you need to come into america then you know we welcome you
Starting point is 00:20:38 i'm sure all countries do that and if you look at europe and you look at the uk although the uk is tightening down it's like migrants go in there all the time so I guess I can go in no no no and if you look at the UK I mean the the quickest besides uh although it would still take quite a while you know if you wanted to marry somebody she even said well could you adopt me I said no I'm an American citizen the only reason I could work in the uk is at the time it was before breakfast breakfast brexit and i was married to an eu national so that's the only reason why i could work there and live there but the fastest way to get a visa is you can get an agriculture visa for six months picking fruit that that didn't go over well anyway uh so we have this this stalemate in uh in the american
Starting point is 00:21:30 government in congress which is mainly run by the republicans saying well we're not going to give any money to the war machine for ukraine and for israel then unless we unless you fix the border, got to fix the border. And unfortunately, I was right. It's a scam. And it's in this clip. Tonight, amid a record number of border crossings, House Speaker Mike Johnson and 64 House Republicans touring the southern border, descending on Eagle Pass, Texas, to demand stricter immigration policies. One thing is absolutely clear. America is at a breaking point with record levels of illegal immigration. December reaching that record high, sources telling ABC News there were 302,000 migrant encounters.
Starting point is 00:22:18 And until changes are made to border policies, Republican lawmakers are vowing to hold up emergency funds for Ukraine, Israel, and the border. H.R. 2, Secure the Border Act, would resume construction of the border wall, change who qualifies for asylum, and limit the Department of Homeland Security's ability to grant migrants parole. Our position is very clear, and we have made that clear again for seven months. H.R.2 is the necessary ingredient. Why? Because it has provisions that fix each of these problems.
Starting point is 00:22:50 And these things work together. And today, senators on Capitol Hill working to strike a bipartisan deal. We're making progress. We're closer than we have been. But this is a very difficult issue. Overnight, President Biden placing the blame on Republicans, saying without funding, his hands are tied. All right. So there it is. Exactly as I predicted.
Starting point is 00:23:15 This is about H.R. 2. All that you really need to do is say we change the policy so that you just can't come in and get parole we're not going to catch and release we're going to reject that's all that it would take and i think biden might have signed some executive orders that he would have to undo but there's no necessity for any type of legislation but here it is the wait there's a little gotcha in there where he says, Biden says his hands are tied. But in the last show, we played a clip where he's already been giving money to Ukraine that has not been approved by Congress. And I made a big fuss about it. Yeah, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Because right now I'm about to tell you. You should care. Right now I'm about to tell you about H.R. 2. And what is an H.R. 2? This is a huge bill. I now, I'm about to tell you about HR2. And what is an HR2? This is a huge bill. I mean, it's big. You say, how big? It's big.
Starting point is 00:24:12 And the estimated cost, just the beginning, is $56 billion, which is not so much. But let's just look at a few little items from HR2. U.S. Customs Border Protection border protection technology upgrades that's where the first money goes and you know how much money they appropriated for that just to start off with 2024 and 2025 magic number 33 million dollars right there that tells you it's a scam they got the magic number they're going to upgrade and add to license plate readers tower-based surveillance surveillance deployable lighter than air ground surveillance equipment vehicle and dismount exploitation radars also known as vader three-dimensional seismic acoustic
Starting point is 00:25:00 detection advanced unattended surveillance sensors mobile vehicle mounted man portable surveillance capabilities unmanned aircraft systems drones tunnel detection systems fiber optic cable that's an actual line item and then of course we're going to change id this will legalize what they've already been doing at the airports collection of biometric information from certain individuals seeking entry into the sterile area of an airport that's you and me when you're going through tsa that's nothing to do with being an immigrant illegal brown skin whatever beginning not later than 120 days after the day of the inactivity of this act, the administrator shall collect biometric information from an individual described in
Starting point is 00:25:49 subsection E, and subsection E is the individual described in the subsection seeking entry into the sterile area of an airport. That's everybody. So there's your biometric collection, which they've already been doing, but now it's just legal and we're going to live with it forever. And my favorite is the employment eligibility verification system, e-verify. This has been a very contentious point, this e-verify in the past. People don't want it. It's been around forever. But it doesn't really exist.
Starting point is 00:26:28 ever but it doesn't really exist the conversation has been now now it will now will be required that employment eligibility be confirmed through e-verify for every individual who is going to work at a company this is universal identification that's what this is and this thing is huge there's all kinds of nonsense in there i didn't have time to look through it all but have a look it's like 400 pages we don't need that it's a scam they're scamming us well it's nothing anyway i mean if it was hb2 i think the whole thing is it's hr it's house resolution it's bullcrap from the get-go. The whole thing is a ruse. It will turn into full-on legislation. You know it will.
Starting point is 00:27:10 This is Schumer. Listen, Bill, this is Schumer. It's Schumer. That guy's no good. Well, who is good? Well, not the International Rescue Committee. Just need to mention these guys real quick. The International Rescue Committee is one of the main funders of this illegal immigration.
Starting point is 00:27:35 And I have their Form 990 here, which I always love. Yeah, it's a good one. How much do you think the president of this is David Miliband? Because he seems like a guy who cares you know he's he's compassionate david milliband the ex uh politician from the from great britain who is up there at the top of the of the possible uh prime minister uh wannabes well he and he came over and he was brought this operation you're going to discuss which i've looked into myself is unbelievable you know how much he makes at the international rescue uh a million or something
Starting point is 00:28:11 yeah 1,086,979 bucks and then he gets some health care stuff and he's only the front man according to most people oh yeah so this whole outfit receives this year current year so that would be 2022 that this was filed 1.355 billion dollars yeah yeah they were short last year only 924 million disappointing year disappointing year um and and you can see where it's coming from and what they give their money to let Let me scroll down. Let me just give you some of the how this where this billion billions of dollars comes from is just kind of fun and interesting. So, you know that, you know, who's really behind this is our own government institutions. We have one hundred and seventy seven million dollars.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I'm rounding up one hundred seventy eight million dollars from the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. They're on C Street in Washington. Department of Health and Human Services, $123 million. The Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. These are all U.S. government organizations. $115 million. humanitarian assistance these are all u.s government organizations 115 million uh then the french uh the the belt the european union kicks in 75 million european union humanitarian department thanks thanks guys um let's see the un high commissioner on refugees 45 million the germans
Starting point is 00:29:42 kick in 37 million swedes kick in 34 but we're clearly the ones funding the most of it and then if you see where the money's going to is it going to else to venezuela no no it's all going to africa east asia more africa caribbean sub-saharan africa uh caribbean sub-saharan africa we're paying for this we're paying for this to take place and this is just one of the organizations that does this it's yeah they're a big one though i mean where where's the chance for this hey hey ho, IRC has got to go. Don't worry. It's cool though. It's happening. In California, as of the 1st of January,
Starting point is 00:30:33 all undocumented immigrants are eligible for healthcare insurance. How about that? That's cool. That seems righteous. Well, you don't want a bunch of sick immigrants roaming around. Come on. A Dutch study says immigration is costing the state 17 billion euros a year. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:54 And they're breaking down the walls of the government in Holland about this. Not really. No one cares. No one cares. No one cares. You go to my border clips. This is border BS clip one. Dozens of House Republicans are at the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Their trip comes as Customs and Border Patrol saw a record high number of illegal crossings in December, around 300,000 crossings. That is roughly the size of the city of Orlando crossing into the United States illegally in a single month. NTD's congressional correspondent Melina Weisskopf reports for us. House Republicans have made several trips to the southern border, but this is the first time that Mike Johnson is leading a delegation as the speaker. And it comes at a time when pressure is high, as right now the Senate is working on a deal with the White House. They're trying to find common ground solutions over immigration and border policy, how to change those policies to fix the immigration issue. But House Republicans, they have their own list of demands, much of which includes returning to Trump-era border policies,
Starting point is 00:32:00 such as the Remain in Mexico policy. This delegation was made up of around 64 Republican lawmakers from 26 states, the Republican speaker says, and they met with Border Patrol agents, they met with local residents, they viewed processing centers, all to get a grip of the current situation at the border. Here's what those Republicans had to say about the urgency of the issue, arguing why their demands deserve to be met. When President Trump entered the Oval Office, he put in the Remain in Mexico policy. He ended the catch and release policy. He did the fundamental common sense things that stem the flow. It was down to a tiny fraction of what it is right now in December alone. It's the highest number in history. And it's going to continue because they're showing no inclination at all to change it.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Yeah, neither are you, Mike Johnson. Do you think he even reads the stuff? I still have, I'm reserving. I'm reserving my thoughts about him now, too. I'm not liking what he's doing here. But here we go to clip two the greatest domestic threat to the national security and the safety of the american people is secretary alejandro mayorkas and that last person you just heard from was congressman mark green he's the
Starting point is 00:33:17 chairman on the homeland security committee here he says that next week his committee will officially begin those impeachment proceedings against dhs secretaryandro Mayorkas, arguing that he has failed to uphold his duty to secure the border. But the DHS secretary has pushed back, saying he simply doesn't have the money or the resources to 100 percent carry out his job, effectively saying that the ball is now in Congress's court. Take a look at what he had to say. We need additional personnel to advance our security at the border. We need technology to advance our fight against fentanyl. We need additional asylum officers to really accelerate the asylum adjudication process. The Republicans argue that if Congress does give the DHS more money,
Starting point is 00:34:04 that money will only be used to process more illegal immigrants and release them into the country rather than use the money to try to stem the flow of illegal immigration to begin with reporting from capitol hill melina wisecup ntd news yeah there you go just we need to process faster because we need to overwhelm the system faster faster before trump gets in we got to start the collapse so he can win and we can blame it all on him gotta go gotta go flip three and ntd's jason blair is down in eagle pass texas where he spoke to lawmakers about the trip i'm here in eagle pass texas right in front of the u.s mexico border now today 64 members of congress were here they were touring the air why did they 64 members of congress have to go down the eagle pass to go look at the border
Starting point is 00:34:53 i mean was this the fact-finding mission were they confused finding were they were they confused about what's happening they're just for tacos that's the reason i went for tacos. I can't imagine any other reason why all that. You don't need that many people. You need one guy and a camera crew. Do people still fall for this kind of dumb PR? Oh, Congress is taking it seriously. They're all roaming around this whole group of 64. It's too many, by the way.
Starting point is 00:35:20 64 went down. Yeah, Mike Johnson talking about it. Oh, yeah, he's taking it seriously. And NTD's Jason Blair is down in Eagle Pass, Texas, where he spoke to lawmakers about the trip. I'm here in Eagle Pass, Texas, right in front of the U.S.-Mexico border. Now, today, 64 members of Congress were here. They were touring the area in an event hosted by Representative Tony Gonzalez. Now, they spoke with local law enforcement.
Starting point is 00:35:46 They spoke with people here on the ground that are seeing the situation at the border every day. They were speaking to ranchers. They were touring facilities. And afterwards, I got a chance to speak with a couple of them, and here's what they had to say. Today we have members of Congress from 26 states, also American Samoa. And so we are here to learn the latest, and sadly the latest is... What is the point of saying we also have American Samoa here? What's the point?
Starting point is 00:36:15 What's the point? D-E-I? Like, we're... No, I think you nailed it. We're a diverse... It's just not a bunch of guys from Alabama, okay? We're a diverse group, okay? Today we have members of Congress from Alabama, okay? Yeah, we're a diverse group, okay?
Starting point is 00:36:29 Today we have members of Congress from 26 states, also American Samoa. And so we are here to learn the latest, and sadly the latest is the American families have been at no greater risk of attack than they are today. With the hundreds of terrorists that have crossed the border in the last year, during the Biden administration, every American family's at risk. It's just inconceivable the madness of the Biden administration not understanding the Biden administration should be ashamed of themselves. New Yorkers should be ashamed of themselves. The thought of by instituting an open border for the sex trade, for human trafficking,
Starting point is 00:37:02 for human slavery. This is inconceivable in the 21st century. It's interesting that not a single one of them will ever say the truth. They always throw out, oh, it's horrible, women and children being abused, being trafficked, being raped, fentanyl this, fentanyl that. They never say, this is overwhelming our system. That's the truth, and that's what they never say. And hey, a key point.
Starting point is 00:37:27 There's no country that doesn't maintain their border except the United States. Have you seen Europe, numbnut? Every other country maintains their border because they understand that it would lead to chaos. It would lead to victimization. It would lead to persecution of individuals. And so our border needs to be maintained as any other border in the world. He forgot overwhelming the system. They all know it.
Starting point is 00:37:53 They all know it. It's great because we'll all get. Well, you know, overwhelming. You have to do that because you've got it. It's obvious, at least by these clips that we keep playing. Yes. That Trump's going to get in again very probably should have gotten in you know he'd be out by now he'd be this would
Starting point is 00:38:11 be his last year in office if they had not jobbed him on that as shown by the we wouldn't have war i mean this is no good we needed we needed a little stimulus we needed war we had any stimulus whatsoever yeah we could kill if it's possible he would have killed the country yep yep just We needed a little stimulus. We needed war. We needed death, destruction. We didn't need any stimulus whatsoever. Yeah. We could kill. It's possible he would have killed the country. Yep. Yep. That's right.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. And the very frustrating piece of it is it's correctable. Now, the best way or the long-term way that the American people can correct it is by electing President Trump back into office or, frankly, any Republican. But my preference is President Trump because he proved he could do it. But secondly, if Biden would just correct course and just instill one provision, probably of our of our H.R. two legislation that we passed in Republican Congress, and that is remain in Mexico. If you're seeking asylum, you need to do it in your first country of origin, your first country of asylum. If you do that like all other countries do, or just about all, this problem would be reduced by 70, maybe 80 percent. How about 100 percent? Asylum is only supposed to occur at designated ports.
Starting point is 00:39:24 These guys don't, they're all just part of the system they're all they've all been blackmailed by jeffrey by bill gates that's clear he's got them under their thumb crazy bill yeah well that's it that's your that's your border that's it. That's your that's your border. That's still ongoing. My favorite thing going on this week is the fact that you can play this clip. The Biden threat to democracy speech is supposed to be on the anniversary of January 6th. And he had to put it, stall it, put it off a day. A major speech coming up as President Biden is seeking to draw a contrast with former President Trump. That's as polls show Biden trailing Trump in key battleground states.
Starting point is 00:40:15 NTD's White House correspondent Iris Tao reports. So we are expecting to see a major split screen moment this Saturday on the third anniversary of January 6th between former President Trump and President Biden. President Biden is giving a speech on democracy at Valley Forge, a historic revolutionary war site near Philadelphia. And the goal here is to try to convince voters that former President Trump poses a historic threat to democracy, one that Biden's campaign says has only grown more dire in the years after 2020. Meanwhile, the White House today saying this about January 6. Watch.
Starting point is 00:40:51 What happened on January 6 was unprecedented. An attack on our core principles, an attack on our democracy. What we saw was an attack on our rule of law. And the White House tells us that President Biden today also had lunch with a group of historians and scholars about quote the ongoing threats to democracy and democratic institutions here in america and around the world so we are really seeing president biden's campaign here trying to jumpstart this year's campaign events with the theme about a fight for democracy and biden versus trump as we're getting closer and closer to a potential rematch between the two. So that's going to be wall to wall on Saturday?
Starting point is 00:41:33 Well, no, because of the weather, I guess it got stormy back there. And so they're going to put it off. So that whole symbolism of January 6th is lost. But that's how they know it was already stormy. Is it going to be stormy on Saturday? Is that the... Yeah, that's what they think. So we can't do the speech? According to this morning's news morning's news has been put off so the whole thing is a joke now yeah well i think it may not be the weather at all but they have a doctor that says look we have a
Starting point is 00:41:55 cycle for what we can juice joe up with juice joe i like that and we can't juice him up for this saturday or you're going to kill the guy. We can't do it. Juice Joe. It's juice Joe. That's a good one. Oh, I have a new, a new chant.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Hold on. Where's my chance clip. There's a new chant. We should be documenting these chance on a website. Oh yeah. Good idea. I'll get right on it. Here's the genocide Joe chants.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Listen to this one. You hear it? Biden, Biden, pick a side. Cease fire or genocide. That's a pretty good one. like it i like it because and they have a tagline here too and so the follow-up is b, Biden, you're a liar. We demand a ceasefire. Yeah. Demand a ceasefire.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Mm hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's not going to happen until until every single Palestinian is out. I'm ousted. Ousted. Completely ousted and rousted. They can't.
Starting point is 00:43:24 You know, why don't you if you have a I I believe you have some Hamas clips. I have some thoughts on your initial theory about the Red Sea. So I'd like you to kick it off, and particularly if you've got Houthi stuff, that would be most relevant, I think. I do. I have both Houthi and Hamas stuff. No, throw it at me well let's start with the hamas uh which is kind of this is a screwball one this is a hamas leader plus
Starting point is 00:43:51 more ntd just a day after why do screwball let's get down to the good stuff is this good good stuff is all screwball okay just a day after israel's reported strike in Lebanon that killed a Hamas commander, reactions are mixed. Meanwhile, Iran, which is known for backing the terrorist groups fighting Israel, is now facing attacks on its own soil. A pair of bombs in the country reportedly killed over a hundred people. NTD's Jason Perry has the war update. After the airstrike near Beirut that killed a Hamas leader, the Hamas terrorist group on Wednesday said the strike was an act of terrorism and a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Innocent Lebanese civilians now find themselves caught in the crossfire. There was an assassination which led to the death of leaders. As you can see, we're surrounded by wreckage and cars. It's harmful to Beirut. It feels like an invasion of Beirut, an invasion of Lebanon. Meanwhile, this Israeli man's father is currently being held hostage by Hamas terrorists. And he thinks the airstrike that killed the Hamas leader in Lebanon has hurt the chances of his own father coming home.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Of course, this will not help. It's only do the opposite. So I don't know who's in charge and who's giving the order, but he's definitely not thinking about the hostage negotiation talks. He said this about the approximately 100 hostages who remain in captivity in the Gaza Strip. I'm afraid that they are running out of hope there. And the lack of hope might kill them as well. Alongside the horrible condition, the starvation, the sanitary condition in Gaza, the Israeli bombing, the Israeli soldier who might accidentally shoot them, as happened before. The factors that can
Starting point is 00:45:47 kill him are growing larger by the hour. And sadly, on Wednesday, Israel Defense Forces announced the death of another hostage. You know, the reason why these clips come from NTD is because this has no legs. The hostage thing that might have worked during the Reagan era, no one gives a crap about hostages. It's not working. They're trying to make this the focus, because if it bleeds, it leads, but it's no good. The hostages don't have the right chatter.
Starting point is 00:46:17 They don't speak English, of course. You don't have the family members that you can have crying unless it's translated. It's not working. The West is not buying into the hostage meme. I have to agree with you. So let's go to the Houthis. The Houthis, yes.
Starting point is 00:46:37 The Houthis. This is a Houthi Suez discussion on shipping. By the way, I wanted to mention. shipping. By the way, I wanted to mention, I finally realized what really bothers me about that Houthi militant video with the helicopter landing on the ship. You mean the video of the helicopter that you're obsessed with? Yes, I finally realized what it is. If you look at this video at the beginning, you see the horizon does not move and you're so the the the shot is supposedly on the tail boom of the helicopter
Starting point is 00:47:18 and it's moving left and right and it's getting down beyond to the ship but either i mean i would be very surprised if they had a gopro on a gimbal because that won't work very well with any type of down wash or rotor wash i mean it now i know that that that helicopter is it looks like it's inserted into the shot it looks just like a drone shot and they inserted this helicopter because the when you see the helicopter moving and the camera is affixed to the helicopter the horizon doesn't move so that and of course that footage is from 2022 let's decide the point but the whole thing is phony baloney all right um okay well we'll hear about this again the next show. Yes, we will. You'll find some other anomaly. Well, I've got, there's lots of, there's lots of anomalies. The
Starting point is 00:48:12 Houthi attacks in the Red Sea are impacting global supply chains and causing oil and freight costs to rise. How seriously should the U.S. be taking this as a national security issue? Joining us now to discuss, we have Jim Nels, supply chain consultant and economic analyst. To begin, the Red Sea crisis is now spilling over into African ports that are swamped with all these ships that have been rerouted. Now, fuel prices are expected to rise as a result, but give us a sense of what the economic fallout is here. Well, if you look at the stretch of the ocean between the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Aden, they call it the I-95 of the ocean. You get about 21,000 ships a year that travel down there, about $9 billion a day of commerce traverse
Starting point is 00:48:56 the Red Sea. So the economic impact is quite large. It also includes anywhere from three to eight million barrels of oil a day. And that's why we're seeing oil start to increase. Oil is up a couple of bucks today. It was down the other day, but I think we're going to continue to see it rise as more and more shipping companies say we're not going to traverse the Red Sea. We're going to go around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa and add 14 to 21 days of the supply chain. And what impacts do these shipping delays and rerouting have on national security? On national security, we'll start to see store shelves maybe not have as much as you would like to have on there. You may not be able to get some of the products that you'd like. You're
Starting point is 00:49:36 not going to see what we saw during COVID. But the bigger concern is the inability to get oil through the Red Sea. And when you start to combine this with the issues that we have at the Panama Canal, the Panama Canal right now is running at 50% capacity because of very low water levels. So between the Panama Canal and the Red Sea, we're starting to see a very large backup of shipping, and we'll start to see congestion at the ports. We saw what happened with that in 2020 and 2021. So there are some national security implications, but hopefully we can get this resolved quickly and we're not going to see
Starting point is 00:50:08 anything to the extent that we saw back during COVID. Does anyone come up with a possible increase in consumer goods analysis of this obvious increase in shipping costs? It hasn't shown up in the debate, but there was a little gotcha in there that's just kind of like, wait a minute. Why is the Panama Canal water level so low when the oceans are rising? It's climate change. Climate change means the oceans are rising.
Starting point is 00:50:41 You have the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean, both oceans, they should be rising, making the Panama Canal flooded, as opposed to so low that half the ships can't go through. I know. It's also record cold in Scandinavia because of climate change. So just shut up about it, all right? It's climate change. There's one answer, and it's always the right one. Climate change. And the other answer and it's always the right one. Climate change. The other right answer is clip two. And speaking of COVID, we saw ship supply lanes hit, especially as factories in China ground to a halt.
Starting point is 00:51:15 What can we expect to see this time in terms of the Red Sea? Is this a type of warfare attacking the shipping lanes? A type of? It's definitely a type of warfare by attacking the shipping lanes. I like that. Is this, you know, when people are shooting and missiles and drones, is that a type of warfare? Or is it just like, you know, celebration? Well, it's definitely a type of warfare by attacking the shipping lanes.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Fortunately, with the Red Sea, that's primarily a route between Europe and Africa and Europe and Asia. So it doesn't necessarily impact the U.S. to a great extent, again, except for natural resources such as oil. Over the long term, though, we'll start to see more and more things impacted the United States. But what we can't afford is to start to see huge backups at the ports, because especially in the United States, our ports are so inefficient, it takes forever to unload a ship. And we just can't afford to have that happen from a national security perspective. Shut up with the national security.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Is it not also true that we are exporting tons of oil right now? Oh, we have to. Sure, of course we are. Okay, because we're producing more oil than ever before. Because that's climate change. This notion that we suck at unloading ships is beyond me. I look over here, I can't see a port more modern than Oakland. Who is this guy that's talking? Who is this guy that has this knowledge?
Starting point is 00:52:30 He's some expert. Oh, okay, good. You have to go back to clip one to get his name. But it's like, was that like a dig? Or was that to say we should buy more of this gear from China to unload ships? As though we haven't got enough of these weird looking cranes. I guess.
Starting point is 00:52:50 I've just found that to be off-putting. Let's go to clip three. Where is this from? Is it NTD? Yeah. They do these interviews with these different people that don't get interviewed elsewhere. And I find the discussion to be a little more interesting than the stuff you'd get from the networks. And now it seems the 10 country coalition to stop these attacks hasn't been that successful.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Now, in the 80s, the U.S. launched Operation Praying Mantis to attack Iran. What would it take now to stop the Houthis? Here we go. It would take something similar. So Operation Prey Masses was launched by President Reagan after a United States warship hit a mine that was placed in the Gulf by Iran. We decided to destroy two of the oil platforms. We sank half their Navy. We need to do something like that today. And it has to be done against Iran, not against the Houthis. The Houthis don't do anything without Iran's permission, without their funding or without their weapons. So we need some sort of major strikes into Iran to show them that they have to stop this. I'll give the Biden administration credit. So far, they've shown
Starting point is 00:53:53 great restraint because they don't want to expand the war in Israel beyond Israel and Hamas. Make up your mind. But it's now time for them to step up and say, no more Iran, and we're going to punish you for doing this. If you do it again, we'll punish you a second time and then a third time. They're becoming that petulant little child that thinks that they can continue to steal candy from the grocery store, and it's time for mom to tell them no more stealing candy. This guy's an idiot because the Biden administration has appeasement. That's what Obama did. Their whole strategy with Iran has been appeasement.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Let's keep giving them money so they don't so they don't become friends with china that's their strategy remember that just before october 7th uh there was a of course it wasn't a payment but it was i remember it wasn't that long ago you know there was a release of funds which which was Iranian money, which was, of course, immediately blamed for this attack. But that's the whole strategy. The Biden strategy has always been appeasement. And, you know, because, you know, they're two weeks away from a nuclear bomb. So two weeks, two weeks, two weeks.
Starting point is 00:54:59 All right. Let's wrap it with this last one. And would something on the level of Operation Pringmantus be permissible nowadays, seeing that Operation Pringmantus was deemed unjustified back then? Why should we care what other people think? We have to protect our own interests. That's what we need to do. Israel doesn't care what the world thinks about what they're doing with Hamas. We shouldn't care what the world thinks about what we do to protect our national interests. All right. All right. I've got to jump in here. There's's a couple things happening in the backdrop that we haven't been paying attention to it also really hasn't it certainly hasn't been in u.s news
Starting point is 00:55:33 um and let's just go back to the genesis october 7th the first thing we heard was it's like 9 11 times a thousand and i will agree that it was like 9-11 because like 9-11, no matter what you think of Building 7 falling out of sympathy for Buildings 1 and 2, no matter what you think about was it planes or explosions or whatever, it was allowed to happen. It was not a mistake. And that was the same with October 7th. It was allowed to happen. And we've forgotten that already. It was insane how the border walls and gates and fences and how it was completely unprotected. That made no sense. We've already forgotten that, but it made no sense and i think that there was a much bigger strategy at play here by morons by absolute morons i'm looking at you blinking i'm looking at the kagans i'm looking at you know of course with the kagans comes newland but all these neocons neoliberals who brought in netanyahu to do part of their dirty work because the one thing we forgot is in august there was an announcement that was made that was completed just this past week the bricks group of emerging countries on monday officially welcomed five new members to its ranks
Starting point is 00:57:01 saudi arabia egypt the united United Arab Emirates, Iran and Ethiopia were invited to join the group in August 2023 at the 15th BRICS summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. Argentina was also invited but backed out at the end of December. The group was created in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India and China, with South Africa joining in 2010, and has become an important platform for cooperation among emerging markets and developing countries. The newly expanded BRICS has a combined economy worth over $28.5 trillion, or about 28% of the global economy. On January 1st, Russia took over the bricks chairmanship from south africa okay so putin is
Starting point is 00:57:47 now running the bricks and the bricks didn't matter until the bricks mattered and why does it matter because egypt and saudi arabia jump into this bricks thing and it was already you know they'd been invited lcc who has now been re-elected for his third term with an unbelievable 90 of the vote because that's not rigged no one likes lcc in the west this guy is no good they don't like that he's a part of bricks he obviously controls the uh the suez canal so let's go to um let's go to uh uh paki shawarma who used to be on y on and now she's on first post or whatever but she still does uh good stuff and let's let's because you know so we had this operation solidarity do whatever we say in the red sea group that we were running and everyone's like yeah i don't think so especially
Starting point is 00:58:42 saudi arabia who are supposed to be our buddies. The Red Sea coalition has two major problems. One, it's taking time. The White House says more warships will enter the Red Sea. But the question is, when? There's going to be a whole lot of hardware in the Red Sea now, naval hardware, not just from the United States, but other ships, other ships from other nations to counter these threats. So let's see where it goes. I mean, it's up and running now. Let's see where it goes is not a sound strategy. It doesn't scream confidence, which brings us to the second problem, the participation. It's called the Red Sea Coalition. But how many Red Sea countries are part of it? None. ports come through the Red Sea. Its modern hub, Jeddah, is located along the coast. So why hasn't Riyadh joined? Officially, there is no reason, but looks like two factors influence the kingdom's
Starting point is 00:59:51 decision. Factor number one is Iran. Riyadh and Tehran signed a peace deal this year. They decided to normalize relations. So the longtime rivalry is on ports. But joining the Red Sea coalition could have changed that. Iran has questioned this 10-nation force. They say it will soon face quote-unquote problems. Maybe Riyadh did not want to risk that. Factor number two is the Houthis themselves. They're fighting a civil war in Yemen. On the opposite side is a Saudi-backed government. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman started this war. But looks like he's had enough. He's looking for an exit. In September, Riyadh hosted a Houthi delegation. It said the talks
Starting point is 01:00:30 were positive. So there is hope of a clean withdrawal. But if MBS joins the coalition, maybe not. So that was brokered by also China was involved in that deal. So and we talked about it briefly because all of a sudden the civil war ended and saudi arabia is like yeah we're not fighting in yemen anymore it's all good these guys all joined the bricks and and they're trading oil in local currencies and i think they're like you know what screw these guys we have 27 trillion now we we got putin running our show clearly the west has not been successful in bleeding russia dry by kicking them off swift by the ukraine war and and when you kick russia off swift all i'm sure everyone went uh well these guys might kick us off so it didn't matter until
Starting point is 01:01:19 it mattered and they grew big enough and now they have some power and of course china's in there they have their own priorities, like economic diversification, building futuristic cities, or even preparing for the FIFA World Cup in 2034. And for that, MBS needs peace. It's a tough balance, because he cannot walk away from the U.S. alliance or the Red Sea. Even China is spooked. Around 60% of China's exports to Europe go through the Red Sea. So Beijing says civilian ships must be protected.
Starting point is 01:01:52 China has always advocated safeguarding the security of international waterways and opposed acts of harassing civilian vessels. We believe that all the parties, especially the major countries with influence, should play a constructive and responsible role in ensuring the security of the Red Sea waterways. That statement could be important. China has close ties to Iran and Iran basically controls the Houthis. So Beijing could pull some strings. It's a question of how far the Houthis are willing to push. They know that America is reluctant to escalate.
Starting point is 01:02:24 They know the Saudis are half-hearted. So the Houthis basically hold all the cards. Imagine that, a ragtag group of militants are holding trillions of dollars hostage. Imagine that. So please, everyone, go to redsea.noagendanotes.com, just so we all look at the map for a second. We need to look at this map so you understand. This is my fireside chat moment. Red Sea dot no agenda notes dot com. And you can see where all of these countries are and you can see where the U.S. has its strongholds. really don't control anything at this point but we saw this coming when i say we that's the west mainly the stupid idiots the neocon nut jobs who are running everything since they kicked trump out and now we go to al jazeera and we have a warmonger on their ex-pentagon guy whatever and he kind of lays out what the what the issue is and that will focus us on what's happening with israel and hamas while and palestine where we're all chanting and we're all upset and
Starting point is 01:03:32 we're all choosing sides it's much bigger than that the pentagon says more than 20 countries have agreed to participate in a u.s-led coalition in the red sea to stop houthi attacks the red sea is one of the world's most important shipping routes for oil and gas between Asia and Europe. In the south, the narrow Bab al-Mandib Strait between Africa and the Arabian Peninsula connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden. 12% of the world's trade and 10% of global oil
Starting point is 01:03:59 carried by ships goes through the strait. The Suez Canal connects the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea. It is the shortest shipping route between Europe and Asia. 15% of the world's maritime traffic passes through the Suez Canal. Since November, the Houthis have targeted vessels near Bab el-Mandib forcing major shipping and oil companies to suspend operations through the Red Sea. Rerouted vessels will have to make a longer journey all the way down the east coast of Africa via the southern tip of the continent. All right, so that's the intro. Now the Pentagon douche will actually lift a little bit of the veil as to what the strategy
Starting point is 01:04:35 was here, which I believe goes back to a purposeful invasion. And there's Alex Jones will be the first to say that Israel created Hamas. And I'm kind of on board with that now, because when you hear what the strategy really was, which was to squeeze Egypt, it starts to make sense that there's some real fear about the petrodollar's weakness against all these oil countries that are now in bricks, just added this past week. All these oil countries that are now in BRICS, just added this past week, we're all joining together and are going to withdraw from the U.S. dollar and from our rules-based order. Well, David DeRoche is a professor at the National Defense University and former Pentagon Director of Arabian Peninsula Affairs,
Starting point is 01:05:19 and he's joining us on Skype from Washington, D.C. Very good to have you with us on Al Jazeera. Mr. DeRoche, we've had a number, I think 12, of some of the world's biggest shipping companies are no longer taking this route. British oil giant, British Petroleum also isn't. They made that decision before the U.S. formed this task force. And since it's been formed,
Starting point is 01:05:39 none of them have started using the route again. Yeah, that's right. So, you know, capital is cowardly. And I think that, you know, it makes sense to avoid an area where there's a threat to see what happens and see how it takes hold. So I would expect it to take, you know, some time before procedures are established and before there's a level of confidence. I mean, bear in mind, these are unarmed commercial ships that are being attacked with weapons of war in time of confidence. I mean, bear in mind, these are unarmed commercial ships that are being attacked with weapons of war in time of peace. That is a war crime. And they're of nations.
Starting point is 01:06:11 They're flagged and crude and owned by nations that have no connection with the conflict at all. So it's going to take a while to figure out what the capabilities are. These guys want risk. But the big loser here is Egypt, which is going to lose 30% of its hard currency assets from Suez Canal transit fees as long as this is closed. Yeah. And yet Egypt is not joining the task force. And the Houthis are saying that they are only targeting vessels that are in any way linked to Israel. So that appears to me to have always been the strategy is to squeeze Egypt into not joining the bricks into being to listening to what we have to say and before i get to the payoff there's one more clip here
Starting point is 01:06:52 which is somalia who also joined bricks and what is somalia doing they're going to set up a base right down there right near djibouti in this illegal republic of, I'm sorry, Ethiopia joined the BRICS. And they're going to set up a base right underneath Djibouti, which is supposed to be our spot, in the illegal or unrecognized republic of Somaliland. The world's most populous landlocked nation wants access to the sea, and Ethiopia is now pinning its hopes on an agreement with Somaliland. This will be the starting point for our cooperation with the brotherly people of Somaliland to grow and develop together in cooperation and to ensure our common security. Ethiopia says the memorandum will allow it to use the port of Berbera on the Gulf of Aden to establish a military base, paving the way for commercial operations.
Starting point is 01:07:52 So that's the setup right there. And of course, Victoria Nuland was in Somalia just a few months ago, trying to talk them out of doing this. Or Ethiopia, trying to talk them out of doing this. And Ethiopia went, yeah, okay, we won't go through Somalia. We'll go through Somaliland and set up a base. Whose base? It's not going to be the Ethiopian base. We know exactly. It's going to be, the whole region is going to be Brick's land. So I believe the strategy was to get Hamas to create this atrocity. Maybe it wasn't even intended to
Starting point is 01:08:28 be this bad, but they did it anyway. That's what went down. But now they want to kick them out. Israel wants to kick the Palestinians out. The whole point has been, kick them out, go to Egypt, go to Egypt, go to Egypt. Egypt's saying, nope, nope, we don't want them. And there's reasons why. And I could have just given you this, but the Why Minutes guy on YouTube did it so beautifully, I'm just going to play his explanation in clips. Why aren't more Arab countries in the Middle East taking in Palestinian refugees? The onset of a renewed war between Israel and Hamas has led to
Starting point is 01:09:05 fears that millions of Palestinian people living in the Gaza Strip may be forced to become refugees. But despite the fact that Gaza shares a border with Egypt, the Egyptian government almost immediately ruled out any possibility of accepting Palestinian refugees. In fact, Egypt is currently constructing an even larger border wall with Gaza than the one it currently has in place. Now, many outside observers have asked why Egypt, a majority Arab and Islamic nation, would turn away the Palestinian people. And of course, many have pointed out that it may serve the political interests of many Arab nations to refuse to accept Palestinian refugees because it allows them to then blame Israel for any sort of humanitarian crisis that unfolds. But the thing is, historically, many Arab nations have accepted Palestinian refugees.
Starting point is 01:09:51 And that may be why Egypt doesn't want to now. So, this is a little bit of a history lesson. Every single time countries in the Middle East accepted Palestinian refugees, bad things happened. It started in Kuwait. I'm pretty sure this was our doing as well. Decades earlier, the Palestinian groups operating in Jordan had come to openly call for the overthrow of Jordan's monarchy in the aftermath of the Six-Day War.
Starting point is 01:10:16 At the time, the PLO maintained its own separate army on Jordanian soil and used that armed force to... I'm sorry, I misplaced the order. Jordan first. So chaos. Armed gangs of PLO militants drove around the capital of Amman, robbing families and businesses in the name of collecting financial assistance for the ongoing war of attrition against Israel.
Starting point is 01:10:37 When members of the Jordanian police and army tried to defend their citizens from these attacks, they were attacked and killed. The Palestinian political network operate as a state within a state, with militants repeatedly using Jordan to launch rockets into Israel. The Marxist-Leninist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine even went so far as to hijack multiple planes, diverting the flights to a Palestinian-controlled airfield in Jordan, where the passengers were held hostage. By September 1970, the Jordanian army had finally had enough. A full-scale war with the PLO broke out, and after 10 months of fighting,
Starting point is 01:11:11 the Palestinians were driven out of the country. Yet, as a parting gift, a Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September assassinated the Jordanian prime minister. Now we move forward a few decades to Kuwait. Decades earlier, the Palestinian groups operating in Jordan had come to openly call for the overthrow of Jordan's monarchy in the aftermath. Wait a minute. I'm sorry. This is what is this? I hate this. Here it is. Here it is. Here it is. Here it is. For example, in 1991, the Kuwaiti government actually expelled nearly 300,000 Palestinians in the aftermath of the first Gulf War. And this
Starting point is 01:11:46 represented an astonishing 18% of Kuwait's entire population. So what was the reason? Well, the Palestinian Liberation Organization had actually supported Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait a year earlier. And this support only grew after Iraq began attacking Israel with rockets throughout the war. After Kuwait's liberation, the government considered much of the Palestinian community to be complicit in the Iraqi occupation of their country. And in response, nearly all Palestinians were deported in just a few months. Get out. And then finally, Lebanon.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Sadly, the story doesn't end there. Because the PLO then moved into Lebanon, where they allied themselves with Marxist and socialist movements that were seeking to overthrow Lebanon's conservative Maronite Christian government. The presence of thousands of Palestinian militants flooding into the country completely destabilized Lebanon and plunged the entire nation into chaos. Less than four years after the PLO was expelled from Jordan, Lebanon found itself in the middle of one of the most bloody and chaotic civil wars in Middle Eastern history, from which it is never fully recovered. In short, Palestinian organizations have not just attacked Israel, they have sowed unrest in many of the neighboring Arab and Muslim
Starting point is 01:12:55 countries as well. And this has led those governments to the conclusion that allowing for mass immigration or even just refugee camp resettlement within their borders would lead to domestic unrest for their own countries this is why nobody wants the palestinians and this is by the way yes what should have been added to that is the palestinian protests in this country yes yes exactly color revolutions right here it got so they got they got so desperate that the IMF, through Bibi Netanyahu in December, offered debt relief to Egypt in exchange for taking the Palestinians. Hey, you guys have got a lot of debt. It's a problem. Why don't you take these Palestinians? We can probably get you some debt relief. This backfired. Egypt is going to weather the storm.
Starting point is 01:13:48 El-Sisi got reelected. He's like, no, I don't trust in you guys. And I think besides the West, the U.S., Britain, because Britain is part of, you know, they really do all the shipping. They insure all the shipping. We're douchebags. We tried to squeeze them and they're not gonna they're not gonna stand for it and this was set up this is what in my mind this is what october 7th was all about and everything else is distraction and it's working
Starting point is 01:14:16 very well because we're all yelling about which side who's genociding worse and then you have just this massive corridor now you know the what can we do the Houthis are not blocking any ships that are part of BRICS they're only blocking ours and I think that initially the idea was oh we're gonna screw Egypt and we're not gonna go no more fees because it's like nine billion dollars a year and they have nothing in egypt they have to import food everything so we'll we'll squeeze these guys and i guess they got enough from uh from china and probably from russia now in charge of the whole coalition they went you know what we're gonna weather it we're gonna stick it out and i don't mean you have to be careful because a cat driven into a corner can make weird jumps that's another dutchism for you um and you know someone could do something really stupid but i think this was always the
Starting point is 01:15:18 idea this was the the hegemony of the u.s petrodollar trying desperately to break the brics coalition and it failed and now everyone's screwed that's my story yeah well i don't know if everyone's screwed because the brics coalition is just going to be dominated by china it's going to fall apart i wouldn't count on it you know that's what that's what people have been saying since it was started what 2005? it hasn't really done much but this is new they just added these countries
Starting point is 01:15:51 this is desperation the desperation was October 7th that was the desperate move well I think I can see the desperate move being October 7th, or I can see that as being a desperate move amongst other desperate moves. But it was... You know what they're trying now?
Starting point is 01:16:18 It's poorly, poorly, it was a bad idea. Now they're trying to get the refugees to be accepted by the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Hey, Congo, you don't want that. Can you imagine what that'll do for battery prices and everything if they succeed at that? That's interesting. I didn't catch that. Yeah, that just came out let me see is that the same as like the british trying to move all their immigrants to rwanda i would say so
Starting point is 01:16:52 yeah it's an interesting idea well it's it's it's just starting now it's just kind of starting this news it came out i think yesterday and people are starting to hear about it. But yeah, they had some backroom conversations. Well, what do you guys think? Are they moving their strategy? I don't know what they're trying to do. But sadly, for innocent Palestinian people who keep electing douchebags, you're not wanted. And this is why and and what gets me is how easily everybody fell for the programming while we literally have the palestinian protests doing what they've
Starting point is 01:17:37 done in all these other countries be careful careful adam and curry.com yes please i have one last clip that says migrant story i'm not sure what this is okay a new year and a new set of buses carrying migrants to various cities this kind of like just wrapping us from one end to the end you want to this is about our our our migration yeah i guess a new year and a new set of buses carrying migrants to various cities across the u.s this weekend 350 asylum seekers flown in from the southern border boarded buses to chicago after landing in rockford ill Illinois. Their transportation north arranged by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson said on Face the Nation, city officials were given no notice. The rogue busses that are being dropped off across this
Starting point is 01:18:35 country in the middle of the night, leaving people with no real support at all, no coordination with the local municipalities, That type of chaos is certainly dividing our country. Chicago is just one city dealing with the influx and now cracking down on buses, bringing in migrants without advance notice. Last week, New York City Mayor Eric Adams issued an emergency order to restrict bus arrivals, but that hasn't stopped busloads of migrants now being dropped off at train stations in New Jersey with easy access to the city. Adams says the migrant crisis will cost New York
Starting point is 01:19:12 $12 billion by 2025. This comes as the U.S. Border Patrol manages a record migrant surge. Agents are processing a quarter million new arrivals each month in december hitting an all-time high of 300 000 migrants we're full don't come cbs news has learned that the white house is open to immigration reforms including an authority to expel migrants and suspend asylum law in exchange for aid for ukraine start deporting people here who should be, you know, deported,
Starting point is 01:19:46 then you'll turn things around pretty quickly. You know, it's so bad in Texas. Little Fredericksburg had someone murdered two days ago. Murder capital of Texas. I mean, and it was, you know, drug deal related, and the guy comes into a store, and the guy working into a store and the guy working the store was probably
Starting point is 01:20:07 dealing drugs and it's all immigrant related. Boom. Shot dead. That doesn't happen often in little Fredericksburg. Doesn't happen in most little towns. No. None of this is good. But luckily, now with this HR2
Starting point is 01:20:23 and when that comes becomes legislation then part of the bill will be that you can be stopped and asked for your papers if you're suspected of being an illegal immigrant so that's that's a that's a i have an issue with that because you know i don't want people you can't just be stopping people in America, so show me your papers. You have to have some... You got to have the right German accent when you say it. Don't... Show me.
Starting point is 01:20:53 No, don't do it. Show papers, papers. Our German listeners are already traumatized enough. They are not. Anyway, here was the beautiful story of the past week, which, of course, also had everyone distracted, jumping up in joy. Hey, this is great. We're owning them. Six months into her tenure, Harvard University President Claudine Gay announced her resignation in a letter writing,
Starting point is 01:21:16 it is in the best interest of the school so it can navigate this moment of extraordinary challenge. This is difficult work. of extraordinary challenge. This is difficult work. Gay's resignation comes nearly a month after she and the presidents of the University of Pennsylvania and MIT faced widespread condemnation following this testimony at a House education hearing on anti-Semitism on college campuses. The answer is yes, that calling for the genocide of Jews violates Harvard Code of Conduct, correct? Again, it depends on the context. Republican Chair Elise Stefanik, a Harvard alum, posted,
Starting point is 01:21:51 Two down, referring to gay and pen president Liz McGill, who also resigned days after the hearing, which Harvard Law student Jonathan Frieden attended. There's a lot of people and a lot of Jewish students who view this as a good thing, as a victory, as a step in the right direction. And then there's a lot of us that are also asking, but what next? Gay was the university's first black president. She was criticized by many in the Jewish community for her response to anti-Semitism on campus after the Hamas attacks in Israel. She faced more scrutiny from some donors and conservative activists following allegations of plagiarism in her dissertation and several articles, which she denied. She wrote,
Starting point is 01:22:36 it has been distressing to have doubt cast on my commitment to confronting hate and to upholding scholarly rigor and frightening to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus this is higher education being attacked by mob rule i think it's something that we should be very wary of you know what i like about this moment i'm sorry do you know what i like about this season this is the new term i want you. This season in our lifetime. What I like about this season is the unveiling of all the evil and the corruption. And I think it kind of started with Trump, with fake news, and then, you know, just all the stuff that he was yelling about. And now, you know, the COVID stuff, it's being unveiled. People are starting to understand.
Starting point is 01:23:25 It's slow and not everyone can actually commit to saying, oh man, we got scammed. Most people are credulous. Yeah. They buy into everything. But, you know, even this type, you know, so she had to resign. People are starting to realize how scammy everything is. She didn't totally resign. She's still on the faculty making $900,000 as they like to endlessly point out.
Starting point is 01:23:51 Well, yeah, that's part of what we need is we need more things to argue about. But my favorite thing during this whole thing is the changing of the word plagiarism to duplicative. Yes, we know when you change language like that bad things happen in this season um you know now um it was kind of interesting the daily wire had undercover video of porn i didn't get the audio because it's always undercover audio is so bad of porn hub employees saying yeah you know we inject uh trans and gay stuff in there to you know just in case somebody wants to convert it's all programmed in this case somebody yes because i mean could you imagine
Starting point is 01:24:40 if you're a young boy and just go in there to whack off to some chicks, you might actually have deeper feelings you don't know about. So we like to put some bi and gay and trans stuff in there. It's all programming. And I like that people are starting to learn about this. It takes years for the general population to start to figure stuff out. Wake up. Yeah, it takes five people takes five six seven years but it's happening it's happening well you're the optimist today oh yeah no and i mean
Starting point is 01:25:13 no thanks to the stupid memes on no agenda social but otherwise it's happening it really is like here's another good one new law in californ California now requires major retailers to have gender neutral toy aisles. Governor Gavin Newsom signing that legislation into law in 2021 going into effect yesterday. It applies to retailers that have a physical store in the state that sells child care items or toys. They also have to have at least 500 employees. Stores that do not comply will face a monetary fine. I love that before you get off the track too much i do want to play this clip this is a clip uh again from ntd it's ntd day uh and this is the harvard this is a discussion about the harvard president that woman but
Starting point is 01:25:59 instead of having your average jokers on you know know, the Brooks and Shields, let's have some Jewish guy on. All right. Reactions are coming in after Harvard President Claudine Gay resigned. Joining us now to share his thoughts on the news and comments on American higher education, we have Rabbi Abraham Cooper. He chairs the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and is associate dean at the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Harvard's President Claudine Gay has resigned. This is following backlash on both allegations of plagiarism and also her testimony on anti-Semitism. She is, however, staying on as faculty. What is your reaction to all of this? Well, my first reaction to her resignation was
Starting point is 01:26:42 it should have happened immediately when she said those words where suddenly the issue of genocide was a matter of context. And when the potential victim are Jews, I think not only Jews recoiled in horror. On the other hand, when you read her statement, horror. On the other hand, when you read her statement, it's sort of an indictment she thinks of the system and that she's a victim of racism. I think I would tend to identify with those who say that she wasn't a victim of racism. I think she was placed in the possession of president, as president, becausevard perceived this would be the best way to go uh to go forward but not necessarily based on academic uh credentials she should have been gone immediately um and we'll see you know how long she'll stay on in terms of
Starting point is 01:27:39 being a professor because the second issue which I'm not an expert on, thankfully, plagiarism, you know, that's something that each university has to deal with. And I think it would be difficult for someone to stay on long range when you have that kind of cloud that's hanging over you. Did you ever look into the plagiarism stuff? I haven't found any specific examples but i did hear an interview from one of the women a black author who was plagiarized right and she
Starting point is 01:28:14 went on and on about this being uh abhorrent because of the backing that the woman got for the plagiarism and that's when they came up with the word duplicative. Yeah, she didn't do the quoting right. She didn't do the attributions right. She didn't do these things right, which is ludicrous if you're an academic. If you're an academic and you're writing academic stuff, you do the citations.
Starting point is 01:28:39 You don't take credit. The problem with plagiarism is you're taking credit. Stolen valor. By the way you use the words for somebody else's ideas yes stolen valor stolen valor and i don't have the specific examples but this woman just claims there were 50 or 60 examples yes and uh and she says the race and this woman being black could make the assertion that the racism thing was bull crap and uh and of course we're all distracted here by the argument now well the the replacement president has to be black and a woman let's get a let's get a black trans woman that would even be better be fantastic actually that would be better
Starting point is 01:29:20 and i think this is another part of the big unveiling you know that oh this higher education it's bogus it's a bunch of douchebags running the show it's too expensive you don't get anything for it except you know debt which you now have to actually pay back there's another one joe didn't fulfill well with some people he did some people somehow have gotten out from under now there's been some of that but not not he can't take credit for it because you know if anyone you can't like hey we did that no because that was qt josh by the way, from the air traffic control community, community, you know, the anti-Israel pro-Palestine protesters were at JFK airport, and they were blocking that again in New York. And they launched a balloon.
Starting point is 01:30:19 And the air traffic control had to reconfigure runways because it was, this is highly illegal. It's a massive felony to do what they did. Yes. And nothing. Nothing. You know, because they're all, I don't know, are people afraid to go, look at people,
Starting point is 01:30:44 look at Kuwait, look at Iraq, look at people. Look at Kuwait. Look at Iraq. Look at Jordan. You're nuts. These people are no good. They're not. Adam at Kray.com. They're no good.
Starting point is 01:30:54 They're no good. Anyway, just spice things up. In the spook state, what is the spook state in America, John? What's the biggest spook state? Virginia. Well, no. I mean, the spook state where all the presidential spooks go. Well, they all end up in California eventually.
Starting point is 01:31:14 Utah. Oh, well. Yes, Utah always has the spook candidates. Yeah, that's true. They always have a spook candidate. There's a useless one, too. What's the point? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially filed enough signatures to make the 2024 presidential ballot in Utah.
Starting point is 01:31:32 It's the first state where he has qualified so far. Kennedy is now running as an independent, sparking questions about how he might affect the general election outcome in November. Yeah. I'm sorry for Bobby. I have the same clip, but instead of that, that one was from PBS. This is the one from NTD.
Starting point is 01:31:53 What is it? What is it called? RFK, probably RFK. Oh, yeah. Got it. Over in Utah, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. successfully qualified
Starting point is 01:32:03 for the state's presidential ballot. Kennedy's press secretary announced that he reached the minimum threshold of 1,000 signatures. Now he needs to qualify in 50 more states. At a press conference in Utah on Wednesday, he said some states refused to cooperate. Those are Maine, New Hampshire, and North Dakota. Those are Maine, New Hampshire, and North Dakota. This is something that would never happen to a presidential campaign from the major political parties. Kennedy said the major political parties have an undemocratic lock on the presidential process. If Kennedy succeeds in getting on all of the state's ballots, he may qualify to get on the debate stage for the general election and potentially take a significant number of independent votes from the major party candidates that key was the getting
Starting point is 01:32:50 on the presidential debate if they have one yeah i don't think they're going to have one no another another unveiling do you think people will notice hey what was different this year? No one had a debate. Hasn't Biden already kind of said he's not going to debate? Yeah, Biden's not going to debate an insurrectionist. Here's the problem. What happened because of these corrupt elections of 2020, including Arizona, where the candidate, the Republican candidate, Carrie Lake,
Starting point is 01:33:31 the Democrat wouldn't debate her. They never had a debate in Arizona. You're right. She never stepped out of her basement just the way Biden did. And she won. So now everyone's looking around saying, why should we have debates? I mean, Biden doesn't even sit in the Oval Office anymore. He's in that TV studio. Yeah, most of the time.
Starting point is 01:33:49 I mean, it's all fake. Yes, I am optimistic. I feel that there's a great unveiling and people are starting their eyes. They're using their eyes to see and their ears to hear slowly, slowly. But we have to be careful because, you know, how many emails, I don't know, I get a lot of emails, you're on the wrong side of history, Curry. You're not on any side of history.
Starting point is 01:34:12 We're doing a podcast. You're a Zionist, Curry. Yeah, you're protecting the Jews. You're protecting the Zionists. You're a Zionist bastard. Zionist bastard. And it was the same thing. We took flak for climate change. Oh my God. How much. We took flack for climate change. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:34:26 How much flack did we take for climate change? We took about a year or two's worth of flack for climate change. People were leaving. I can't listen to you. You don't care about the earth. You're on the wrong side of this. That's a good one. There's still one or two people that feel that way.
Starting point is 01:34:39 And then it was COVID. You're an anti-vaxxer, horrible person. There's people who showed up and found solace and comfort in our COVID coverage who are now going, I can't listen to the show with all the protectionism of Israel.
Starting point is 01:34:56 What are you talking about, man? And I always say, it's okay. Leave. Go away. Come back. I welcome you with open arms. No hard feelings. Another cheek, man. Come back. I welcome you with open arms. No hard feelings. Another cheek, man.
Starting point is 01:35:07 He's another cheek guy now. I'm totally another cheek guy. I forgive everyone who says these things. I have given up my right to be offended. Yeah. Okay. Police investigating after a series of bomb threats made against six state capitals nationwide. It started with a bomb threat emailed to the state capitol.
Starting point is 01:35:25 Hold on a second. A bomb threat email? How many? Don't they get emails all the time like this? But now all of a sudden it's, oh, breaking news. A bomb threat emailed to the state capitol in Atlanta, Georgia. Then there were similar threats in Michigan, Mississippi, Kentucky, Montana, and Maine. Capitals were evacuated no
Starting point is 01:35:46 explosives were found in michigan the capitol building was closed for the rest of the day as a precaution yeah and a 13 year old was caught giggling after the fact what yeah because the 13 year old sent the email yeah it had to be yeah I have a wow story. I have the wow clip for the day. Oh, okay. Because I just found this to be wild. Hold up alone in a tent deep in these frigid Utah mountains. Tonight, a Chinese foreign exchange student has been found safe after police say he became the victim of a suspected cyber kidnapping scam.
Starting point is 01:36:21 He was cold, scared, and relieved when we found him. His family in China said they had received a photograph of their son indicating he was abducted and that they had sent roughly $80,000 to bank accounts in China as a ransom. Police believe Kai's virtual kidnappers are in China and had been manipulating him for weeks, threatening to hurt his family. As part of the disturbing scam, they say victims like Kai are ordered to isolate, then monitored via FaceTime or Skype, and coerced into taking photos of themselves to make it appear they are being held captive. Authorities say if you or your family are ever threatened, go right to police, don't send money, and stop all contact with suspects. I thought this was the most
Starting point is 01:37:05 unique scam imaginable because I've not heard of this sort of thing before where you talk somebody into basically kidnapping themselves. That's the best part. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:22 And then you show the people that you're trying to get the money from the fact that he's kidnapped but he's not really i mean this is like this is way beyond the oh you have to run over and get a gift card to pay your irs taxes which is a real gem that people have fallen for yeah i wanted to say something about this because somebody i helped someone just earlier this week who had fallen scam to i suspect pig butcher and it was it was unbelievable to see but re-explain pig butcher okay so if you've received a text that says hey um uh i have your number in my phone but i I forget. What's your name again? Or I know we met.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Or, hey, you want to go play tennis today? And usually it's going to be a hot Asian chick, typically. Then she'll send a photo pretty quickly. We've actually tried to get them to talk on the show, and then they hung up. And this is a long game. The long game is that uh this woman will go back and so it's always like what's her name it's like lisa or tiffany or it's all kind
Starting point is 01:38:33 of the elaine's tiffany i think it's tiffany always that's a classic always kind of the same name and it'll go on for and it's all it's all from china then it will go on for a long time, and she'll be showing you all her cars, her expensive wines. And they say, oh, but I do this all with crypto trading. It's Bitcoin, don't you know? So you'll wind up exactly getting a gift card or using your debit card. Not credit card, but debit card. debit card, not credit card, but debit card. And you'll be sending money to a website that looks like an actual trading platform and you will get 10X. This is what happened to this person. And it went from 45,000, that's the amount that went in, believe it or not. And it was $433,000
Starting point is 01:39:22 within only three months. Like, it's amazing. This Bitcoin thing is crazy. Although Bitcoin hasn't gone up 10x. And then, of course, you know, you realize eventually that you've been scammed and that, you know, there's no way to get your money. Your money is gone. It was never in there. Your money was taken long ago. Then they may even try to, as long as they can keep you from wanting to withdraw the
Starting point is 01:39:46 money then you'll keep putting it in and you know with and it looks like you're winning you're winning this is fantastic i can't believe it i'm winning this is so great uh then it can become very elaborate and then uh you know and eventually you're screwed out of out of lots and lots of money. And I wanted to say that as the no agenda community, we are very well trained on language. I mean, when you get an email, you can identify the scam just by a misspelling, weird grammar. Then there's obviously mouse over the email address. What is this email address?
Starting point is 01:40:24 What is the link? And you look at it and it know, what is, what is his email address? What is the link? What is this? You know, this, all kinds of weird stuff, you know, and then it's, and you know, a classic is, you know, your credit card's about to expire for your Netflix, all these things. And it worked through text message. But I think what happens is people often are so embarrassed that they, and this might have happened to this particular person, that you just kind of keep going in the scam. And you're embarrassed to tell anybody that, I think this is a scam, but I'm not sure, particularly older people.
Starting point is 01:40:59 So if there are any... It is embarrassing because it's like you have all this worldly experience and you got caught by some punks. Yeah. A stupid scam that just was too good to be true. Use the phrase. Yes. Yeah. But particularly if you have any older people around you, check in on them.
Starting point is 01:41:22 Check in on them, check in on them. And by the way, the pretty girls is always a good lure, even though it's probably some dude. There's a bunch of this going on. I ran into this myself, by the way, on LinkedIn. Oh, I'm sure that's a prime place for scamming dudes. What happened? Tell us the story. So there's some pretty girl sending me these notes and i was
Starting point is 01:41:45 thinking what is who is this idiot and so uh i looked at her and i i did a little research because she did give enough away that there are other examples other people other names within all on linkedin i should turn these people in yeah they're all on linkedin all of them from the same company. And the girl's head in her photo is the same as five other women. Wow. Well, that's an outrage. It's an outrage. Yeah, this is everywhere. Yeah, and it's just, it's annoying and it's insulting.
Starting point is 01:42:20 And you know it's some dude. Now, were you on your female profile or your Mark Pugner profile? you know my female profile which was a gem i have kind of abandoned it because everybody i know you know they'd write this poor girl it was me it was with a fake head uh in the phony baloney uh bio and they'd write asking her out and it was like dude i know who you are you're asking this phony person out it was terrible if i you know i spilled the beans on these guys they would be humiliated i have to say it's it's borderline very creepy what you were doing i wasn't i wasn't really interacting that much. It was just like fishing. It's like you throw the line out there and you don't do anything.
Starting point is 01:43:10 You just let it sit and you get a bite. And it's just like, oh my God, who's biting on this thing? This lure is not even real. It wasn't meant to be creepy. I had some reason for doing it yeah you were trying to to spy on somebody that's what you do and it used to be mark pugner which kind of got out once you gave that up yeah once mark pugna that was in the loose now that was that was a great that was a great wild that was a great alias mark part and there's still i get mark pugner emails all the
Starting point is 01:43:45 time yeah um but you know it's it's amazing how tina tells me this because you know she still has her linkedin profile she's it's amazing how many people hit on her it's so creepy dude's just trolling linkedin hit on the, once she, because you know, we do a podcast. Once you put in there, podcaster. Oh,
Starting point is 01:44:09 oh my God. It says it got even worse. Got worse. Yes. Now, how did it get worse? Just more, more dudes hitting on her.
Starting point is 01:44:18 Because she's a podcaster. Yeah. Yeah. A hot podcaster. Is that the deal? Well, that if you're a podcaster, you're a hot podcaster. Is that the deal? Well, that... If you're a podcaster, you're a hot podcaster. I don't see any women hitting on me.
Starting point is 01:44:31 You're not a hot podcaster. Hello? I guess not. Hello. No, of course not. Women don't hit on men, except when it's a scam. Yeah, well, that's for sure. Definitely.
Starting point is 01:44:47 And men should, if men don't realize that by some point, at some point. Now, there was a funny thing in the Jeffrey Epstein thing, which brought to mind. I guess Stephen Hawking ended up on Epstein Island a few times. And I guess he got a lot of attention and i wanted to bring up something and i want the parents to put away push your kids aside because i'm going to talk about a little aspect of this all right close the close those ears people should realize that this this does take place it's called a novelty fuck oh john and there are people that just attract novelty these women because it's like this part of a click hey did you get to screw that guy yeah and then they talk about it
Starting point is 01:45:32 uh you know stephen hawking would be one of probably a top drawer guy and so far as that's concerned and you'll recall when i was uh living in los ang. I once had dinner one table over from Stephen Hawking. Remember that? Yeah, I remember. And his nurses were hot. Yeah, no, the guy was a horn dog. There's no doubt about that. Can you blame him?
Starting point is 01:46:00 No, I don't blame him in the least. It's good for him the way I see it. But you think that the guy who was that brilliant would kind of be on to the whole Epstein scam, or maybe he just didn't care. Maybe he didn't care. He's like, I don't care. He probably knew.
Starting point is 01:46:13 No, he was on to it and said, wow, here's an opportunity for me. Who's going to fault me, for God's sake? Who's going to condemn me as a creep? Let's get back to a more serious topic in this season of our life climate change next tonight the rapid rise of respiratory sorry big pharma next tonight the rapid rise of respiratory illnesses across the u.s 31 states now reporting high or very high levels of covid flu or rsv six states reinstating those mask policies. Here's ABC's Victor Okendo. Tonight, some major hospitals across the country are bringing back
Starting point is 01:46:53 indoor masking policies as respiratory illnesses surge. The good news is that we have prevention for all three of these big viruses right now, right? COVID, influenza, and RSV. And of course, that is vaccination. According to an ABC News count, hospitals in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington State, and Wisconsin now masking. 31 states plus Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 01:47:18 experiencing high or very high levels of respiratory illness activity. Sanaya Shuler in Arizona says her seven-month-old daughter, Maylani, was in the hospital last month with RSV. When it comes to your child not being able to breathe necessarily, I think it's like the most scariest thing you could probably think of. Flu diagnoses were up 16 percent the week ending December 23rd. The CDC estimating 4,500 flu-related deaths this season and COVID-19 related hospitalizations are at their highest in a year. Doctors stress it's important to be
Starting point is 01:47:52 mindful of those who are at higher risk and say more mask mandates or recommendations could return. We're just trying to be good citizens and keep our people or keep our friends who, you know, we care about from coming down with an illness. And experts say this time of year with holiday travel and gatherings, a steady increase in respiratory illnesses is common, typically peaking in January and February. This year is no exception. And how do we still buy into the masking stuff? How do we still buy into it?
Starting point is 01:48:24 People are getting mad. I see people online like, no one's taking this seriously. We have, especially because they're not masking. No one's saying, we're dying. People are dying.
Starting point is 01:48:37 Tonight, some of the nation's top hospitals bringing masks back as respiratory infections spread across the country. Admissions are up and folks are getting sick and getting admitted to the hospital for things like COVID, influenza, and even RSV sometimes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:53 In Wisconsin, a nearly 15% jump in positive COVID tests. The University of Wisconsin now requiring healthcare staff, patients, and visitors to wear face coverings during all patient interactions. We are seeing an increase in number of patients admitted with respiratory illnesses compared with the number of patients admitted around Thanksgiving time. We're up about 40%. 31 states plus Washington, D.C. seeing high or very high levels of respiratory illnesses, including COVID, RSV, the flu, and the common cold.
Starting point is 01:49:25 Flu hospitalizations were up nearly 50% in the last week. The CDC estimating 4,500 flu-related deaths this season alone, with the number of infections growing or likely growing in every state. Hey, what? Whatever happened to the 30,000? No, that's coming. It's not in February. It's coming. It's not in February. It's coming.
Starting point is 01:49:48 It's coming. We're going to get to those numbers. They're going to try something. You know, this is like the last gasp here. We've got three things you can die from, people. Hospitalizations are at their highest in a year. We are holding some patients in the emergency room, waiting a bit. And I would say every hospital in the region is doing that in the region because of just the you know just the
Starting point is 01:50:09 amount of sick people that we're seeing coming through the doors now. It's crazy. All of this is millions coast to coast gather tonight for new year's celebrations. I would just urge everybody to to be mindful and to spread good cheer this year not viruses and keep in mind winter just started so we'll likely be seeing even more infections in the coming weeks i remember a time before covid when people got sick it was go it would say oh it's going around and you know you and where's a where's where's bob ah he's got that bug he's home and sometimes it would be a puking bug remember those days oh man this is a stomach flu yeah the stomach flu is bad and just hearkening back to that exact same period that you're discussing
Starting point is 01:50:59 when was rsv ever ever mentioned i want to find a clip that we played on this show where RSV was ever mentioned before the COVID crisis. Oh, I don't think it ever was. You won't find it. No, I don't think it ever was. So why did that change? Because they have a vaccine. If you have a hammer, you got to go find some nails. Hello.
Starting point is 01:51:23 That's easy. No, I'm actually going to, i'm looking at being a dot io maybe the trolls can help out because there's so much rsv in the latin no i don't have really it's i'm still in the 1500s no but i don't think there was ever anything about rsv but that but that's beside the point you know and it used to be like oh it's going around hey man we only that's 10 people out this week yeah it's that bug but when you add fear to it and you add a weakening of the immune system with these god awful vaccines
Starting point is 01:51:55 which I think are they now all mRNA based but a lot of them are it's like hello get a clue it's not a vaccine, get a clue. It's not a vaccine. No.
Starting point is 01:52:08 I'm sticking with the old definition. Gene therapy. So, you know, I remember that. And you said, this is a bad flu season. Yeah, it's bad. I remember this. I remember at school as a kid. You know, everyone's snuttering and and sniffling and then the flu,
Starting point is 01:52:28 the stomach flu and kids be puking. We don't run off to the hospital. Hey, Billy's mom. Can you come pick him up? He's sick. That's what it used to be. Yeah. I remember that.
Starting point is 01:52:39 Of course we also didn't have peanut allergies and all, you know, but we also were eating garbage. It's like we have a new diet it's called the garbivore diet and we're just eating garbage processed food junk no one cares anymore you know why because epstein's list epstein's list new year new concerns about a spike in covid cases our volume has really surged and i I attribute that to not just COVID, but influenza, RSV. I'm not seeing as many people fully immunized as in past years for flu, for COVID boosters.
Starting point is 01:53:16 And so it makes them much more vulnerable. The rise in infections has prompted at least five states to reinstate masking requirements at health care facilities as a new variant spreads across the country. Cases are up at least 25 percent in Los Angeles County, where emergency room physician Dr. Angelique Campin says she's happy to see the mask mandate return. It really helps to protect the vulnerable people that are sitting out there in the waiting room right now. The CDC says the new COVID vaccine is the best tool to stay protected against serious illness. But vaccination rates are at an all-time low. Less than 20 percent of adults have received the updated vaccine.
Starting point is 01:53:59 And tonight, there's also a growing number of flu and RSV cases, with 31 states seeing high or very high levels of respiratory infections, leading to worries that a triple virus threat could strain hospitals. Are you concerned that these numbers will continue to get worse? We're not at the peak yet this winter. I'm still seeing numbers increase. Right now, it seems like every other patient i'm seeing in the emergency department is one of these viruses here in california the first child flu death was recently announced doctors say it's not too late to get vaccinated for both the flu and covid to help protect your family get your backs okay the earliest the earliest mention of RSV, this is interesting, is No Agenda episode 1300. That was December 3rd of 2020. That's the earliest. So we were already well into COVID. Let's see, let's hear what it was. When it comes to upper lung respiratory infections.
Starting point is 01:55:06 The ferrets had a brilliant, robust and durable antibody response. But then something horrible happened. And those ferrets were challenged when they were exposed to the wild virus. They got horribly sick. They got inflammation throughout their bodies and they died.
Starting point is 01:55:23 And the scientists remembered that something very similar had happened in the 1960s where there was where they had developed a vaccine for rsv which is very similar to coronavirus it's an upper respiratory infection ailment they had skipped the animals and given them directly to 35 children. And the children, again, had developed a very robust antibody response. But when those children were exposed to the wild virus, they got very, very sick, much sicker than unvaccinated. Oh, what are the chances? What are the chances? I bet you if you go look at this RSV vaccine,
Starting point is 01:56:02 they might have skipped the ferret test. What are the chances that kids who have been vaccinated for RSV are getting sick from RSV? Or old people, for that matter. These people are sick. They don't care about your health. Well, they're not doing the proper testing anymore. That's obvious. No.
Starting point is 01:56:21 No. And the FDA, they're just an extension of them. No, the FDA is corrupt, as is the CDC at this point in our history. Yes. Yes. Why don't we just say it? They're corrupt operations, and they're just doing the bidding of the big pharma companies. They're doing nothing more than making as much money as they can on behalf of their shareholders, which is what you're supposed to do.
Starting point is 01:56:44 That's the general idea. But you don't want to do it by killing half the population. I think that that behooves other people. I think they find it great. It's like, yeah, just kill them off. That's why we bring in more illegals, to compensate. Have you ever seen the world in this much disarray in your years? have you ever seen the world in this much disarray in your,
Starting point is 01:57:04 in your years? Well, I mean, since that's all we study on this show, no, but if I had been more aware of what was going on, uh, and studied it more like we do on this show, because we put a lot of effort into these news stories and deconstructing
Starting point is 01:57:21 them. It's probably been this way the whole time. Oh boy. You only used to care about phones. Remember? That's why I say. I never cared about phones. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:32 I saved you from Twit. I saved you. All you do is bitch about phones. He's reviewing every stupid phone that comes out. It's a Android phone is an Android phone. Hello? Well, bitching is caring. It's a different kind of care. I used to love watching you
Starting point is 01:57:52 bitch and moan about phones on Twitch. That's when the show was great. Well, I'm a professional bitch moaner. Yes, you are. I got an idea. Let's do this. Now it's time for 3x3. Experiment by JCD.
Starting point is 01:58:09 Comparing stories from ABC, CBS, and NBC. The never-ending 3x3. That's right. John's got a couple of clips here. It's from the three networks. Will they have the same script? Will they be getting their information from the studio staff at the bogus Oval Office? Did they collude?
Starting point is 01:58:28 What is going on with our news? Well, we know all of that is true. And here we go. We're going to have ABC, CBS, and NBC all discussing the top Hamas official killed. Ah, yes. Yes. In Lebanon. Yes.
Starting point is 01:58:41 And let's start with ABC. Tonight, a massive explosion rocking the Lebanese capital, Beirut, killing a top Hamas official. Videos circulating online showing the fiery scene of the blast in the Beirut suburb of Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold. Salak al-Aruri, the second in command of Hamas and a senior leader in the West Bank, among at least six people killed, according to Lebanese authorities. Lebanon's state-run news agency says Israel carried out the attack, which if confirmed, would mark a major escalation and would be Israel's first attack on Beirut since 2006. Israel Tonight declining to comment.
Starting point is 01:59:21 But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened to kill Aruri before the Israel-Hamas war erupted on October 7th. Today's blast in Beirut follows weeks of cross-border attacks in southern Lebanon and northern Israel between Hezbollah fighters and IDF soldiers. And David, everyone bracing for retaliation from Hamas and Hezbollah and concern is high tonight that this war could escalate into a wider conflict did you see that um is the Hezbollah dude who has that like that cricket bat stuck in his belt no yeah I don't recall a cricket bat yeah well I'm sure I'm sure it's a it looks like a paddle. I think it's the...
Starting point is 02:00:05 Maybe it's for his 40 wives. No, it's the weirdest thing. This guy, the dude has like... It's like a cricket bat in the troll room. Tell me, is that the guy? Is that the Hamas? Is that the Hezbollah guy? Hezbollah guy.
Starting point is 02:00:17 Let me see. Well, onward with NBC and the same report exactly. Tonight, the fiery aftermath of an apparent assassination. A senior Hamas leader killed in what Hamas says was an Israeli drone strike on a Hamas office in Beirut. Salah al-Aruri was a deputy head of Hamas on a U.S. wanted list, accused of involvement in multiple terror attacks. Hamas saying seven people were killed in the strike, including two commanders. Israel won't say whether it was responsible, but only one country is at war with Hamas. Israel is at war. Whoever did this has a gripe with Hamas.
Starting point is 02:00:59 Israel's military has vowed to hunt down Hamas leaders worldwide, saying they're living on borrowed time following the October 7th Hamas terror attacks that killed 1,200 people. following the October 7th Hamas terror attacks that killed 1,200 people. Tonight, as protests erupt in the West Bank, Israel is bracing for potentially massive retaliation, not just from Hamas, but from Hezbollah, another Iranian-backed group allied with Hamas that's also targeted Israel. The new Israeli foreign minister today declaring, we're in the midst of World War III against Iran and radical Islam.
Starting point is 02:01:30 The assassination raising the stakes for Israel's cabinet, which postponed a meeting to discuss Israel's new plan for Gaza after the war. An Israeli official telling NBC News the plan involves local Gazan clans or tribes handling civilian governance like doling out aid, while Israel controls security indefinitely. This is Israel signals the war is entering a new phase with thousands of Israeli troops on the way out of Gaza. Even as Prime Minister Netanyahu says the war will last many more months. Palestinian groups are calling for more protests tomorrow over the assassination, including in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank. I love how they had the same sirens so they had on this report they did add a little piece a couple of pieces of new information one of them they're going to track down all the hamas people worldwide which means they're going
Starting point is 02:02:17 to probably go to harvard yeah so let's go to uh the fight other one, which is the last one, which is CBS, which every time does vary it enough. Let's see if they have the siren at the beginning and if it's structured the same. An explosion erupts in Beirut Tuesday evening, killing seven Hamas militants, including a top commander and founder of the group's military wing, Saleh El-Oruri, a man wanted by the Israelis and Americans. The U.S. government had a nearly $5 million bounty on his head. Since Hamas's brutal attack on October 7th, Israel has been engaged on multiple fronts, from Lebanon to Yemen. Iranian-backed Houthi rebels fire missiles and drones toward Israel
Starting point is 02:03:08 and are attacking commercial ships by sea and air, threatening to disrupt the world's economy and send oil prices soaring. Shipping giant MERS will now sail around the Horn of Africa to avoid the Red Sea, adding thousands of miles to the journey. In recent days, the U.S. Navy destroyed three small Houthi boats attempting to board a container ship. In response, Iran says it sent a destroyer to the region. Iran analyst Seema Shine believes this is all part of Iran's plan to end the war in Gaza. The other steps that might be done is to bring the U.S. to put pressure on
Starting point is 02:03:46 Israel to stop. And they think by putting pressure on the United States and the international shipping lanes, they can achieve that objective. It is one of the ways that they believe that might put pressure on Israel to stop. Israeli officials say the war could last throughout the year until Hamas is destroyed. But many Palestinians wonder what price they'll have to pay until the fighting ends. And tonight, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah condemned the assassination of El Arouri as a serious assault on Lebanon and vowed that his killing will not go unpunished. They had an extra little effect there at the end. Screaming woman. That was the screaming woman not pop was dynamite. Let me hear it again.
Starting point is 02:04:31 Israeli officials say the war could last throughout the year until Hamas is destroyed. But many Palestinians wonder. Nice. Nice. Yeah, it's a gem. CBS, man. They're on top of that. Nice. Nice. Yeah, it's a gem. CBS, man. They're on top of that. Well, the Screaming Woman effect is quite valuable. It's a scary season in the region. I wonder what the point of what the Screaming Woman being placed at that spot in the report is supposed to accomplish. These things are all done for a very specific reason.
Starting point is 02:05:04 Because by that that it's almost near the end of the report you're starting to zone out you need some uh it's a wake-up call yeah yeah a very blood-curdling scream yeah yeah we have our own version of that we have plenty of blood curdling screams we have in the well it sounds like the same one hold on let's go back and that was a goat yeah maybe it was a goat that they were that on, let's go back and listen. That was a goat. Maybe it was a goat that was screaming. Let's listen, let's listen. Mos is destroyed.
Starting point is 02:05:33 But many Palestinians won it. I think it was a goat. It wasn't a lady. I mean, that is exactly our goat scream. It's destroyed. But many... Same level, man. The pitch is a little different at the beginning. Not much different not much not much not much it's very much but just a little uh request goats do sound different you do obviously it was a uh
Starting point is 02:05:54 palestinian goat it reminds me of this adam and curry.com no john at devorah.org no one can even spell devorah don't worry i'm. Treat me like I'm John's intern. Go ahead. Send me an email. Hey, man. John's blocked me. Maybe you can send this to him. I'm not.
Starting point is 02:06:13 Okay? I'm not. I don't block anybody. Yeah, okay. I forgot this clip, which is important because not only is the gambit to ruin Egypt by sending the Palestinians in, led by Hamas, but Bibi is not doing well. Tonight, as Israel entered the new year, intercepting Hamas missile fire at midnight, new signs the brutal war may be entering its next phase.
Starting point is 02:06:43 New signs the brutal war may be entering its next phase. The IDF now withdrawing some troops from Gaza to rest and prepare for the long fight ahead. Israel now says it expects to last the entirety of 2024. And the defense minister today saying some residents in southern Israeli communities about three miles from the Gaza Strip can return home. Our troops know their mission and their performance is excellent, he says, so life will return to its course in our southern communities. But the life those communities once knew will never be the same. The Hamas-run health ministry says an Israeli airstrike today killed 15 people in central Gaza, bringing the death toll close to 22,000. The IDF, meanwhile,
Starting point is 02:07:24 expanding its operations, releasing video of its canine unit, searching for weapons, explosives, and Hamas operatives. They say they found this weapon stockpiled in a kindergarten while children in Gaza sharing their New Year's wishes. I hope that we will return to our homes, Amal says, and that the war will end and I will sleep on my bed instead of sleeping in tents. Oh, no. So much heartbreak now almost three months into this war. Marcus Moore joins us now from Tel Aviv.
Starting point is 02:07:57 And, Marcus, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is already facing pressure abroad and at home over this war. And now his government hit with a major setback. Yeah, this setback is being seen as a major blow to Netanyahu. As you know, he has been trying to weaken the country's Supreme Court justices, and that has really divided the country. We saw massive protests over the summer. Well, today, the court narrowly voted to overturn a key part of that overhaul, and that decision adds a whole new layer to the tensions that are already gripping this country i never understood how how that could get changed anyway if if the supreme court in israel can override
Starting point is 02:08:32 any laws written then how could you think that they would agree with some law that would restrict their power to do that kind of we have to do a deeper dive i have i hit some i don't know a couple months ago i did a fairly deep dive on this and had some clips, but we never played them. But this is actually, it all stems back to some judge that went back in the 90s, I think. And he was very famous. And he started implementing all kinds of rules, changes to make the court the supreme leader for all practical purposes and very woke and it's become a huge roadblock for netanyahu and any other uh conservative that might try to run israel um we'll get to it again but i at first i thought well this was just a dumb
Starting point is 02:09:23 idea but then when i started looking into it no no, this Supreme Court in Israel is a roadblock to progress. It's a horrible operation. For anything. Yeah, for anything. Okay, let's shift gears a little bit. out of Ukraine, which you should know right now that the weather in Ukraine is horrific right now. The soldiers are freezing to death.
Starting point is 02:10:00 They cannot supply them through waterways because they're all frozen. And the fighting season has to end because there's just nothing that's not working. So, yeah, some drones back and forth, sure. But this was rather interesting. Ukraine and Russia have completed the biggest prisoner exchange since their war started. The United Arab Emirates arranged the swap today. Ukraine's President Zelensky shared video of some of the 230 Ukrainian soldiers who were returned.
Starting point is 02:10:34 The Russians recovered 248 prisoners. So that seems like a positive development. Yeah, that was an all. Well, I have a clip of of this but it's a little longer but a little more detail what can i play can i play my pbs clip first that was the pbs clip i'm an npr clip i'm sorry i'm an npr clip which is uh is interesting ukrainian president volodymyr zelinsky is promising that ukraine volodymyr volodymyr volodymyr zensky is promising that Ukraine will respond to the massive aerial assault. What?
Starting point is 02:11:16 Didn't he say Volodymyr Ukraine? Let's listen one more time. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is promising that ukraine yeah ukraine ukraine we quain we all be quaining will respond to the massive aerial assault launched by russia yesterday that assault killing at least 30 people and injuring more than 160 mpr salisa nadwarny reports that foreign leaders and the UN Security Council have expressed outrage and reiterated their support for Ukraine. In a video address, Zelensky did not provide any details of how Ukraine would retaliate. But Russia's defense ministry claimed that Ukraine sent drones and U.S.-made missiles into Russian territory following the attack.
Starting point is 02:12:01 Ukrainian officials have not confirmed that claim. U.S. President Joe Biden was among those condemning the attack, the largest since the war began. Biden urged Congress to approve billions of dollars in funding for Ukraine that's currently stalled. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia will likely continue to launch large-scale aerial attacks. Wow, that was a crappy edit. Listen to that. Billions of dollars in funding for Ukraine that's currently stalled. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia will likely continue to launch large-scale aerial attacks to beat down Ukrainian morale and limit the country's military capabilities. Alyssa Nadworni, NPR News, Lviv. An emergency
Starting point is 02:12:43 meeting of the UN Security Council has overwhelmingly condemned Russia's aerial assault. Countries, including the US and Britain, say hitting civilian infrastructure violates the international rules of war. Rolof Skog is the European Union's ambassador to the Council. Russia's ongoing systematic airstrikes against civilian objects and critical infrastructure in Ukraine are unacceptable and they must stop. It's a war crime. War crime. Everything is a war crime. Everything is a war crime. Every time I hear one of these reports and the fact that they pinpoint something and blow it up,
Starting point is 02:13:21 I'm reminded of one of your clips where they discussed the fact that the attack in kiev kiev from the russians was actually blowing up a meeting of a bunch of guys are doing drone technologies a conference yeah it was a international conference of drone makers and russia gave one. So they leave this details out. So we don't know any, this, this report stink. We don't know any of the details of what the, why it is randomly shooting in there.
Starting point is 02:13:55 And we know that, um, president Biden gave, didn't he give a couple hundred, but it was to Israel, Ukraine to give a couple hundred million. Well, it's both. Right. I don't know know we have to look at that clip from last show well while we have this stalemate they found a new route to you know pay off the military industrial complex listen to
Starting point is 02:14:17 this gambit remember who funds nato we do america the the. The largest portion is funding from America. Check it out. NATO beefing up its own security as Russia increases the tax on Ukraine. The alliance will help buy up to 1,000 U.S.-made Patriot missiles so members can better protect themselves. A majority of the missiles will go to Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, and Spain. NATO says it will continue its policy of providing lethal support only to member states. But the move could free up other ammunition that allies choose to give to Ukraine.
Starting point is 02:14:51 This is so bogus. What is it, that one resolution in NATO, if one country is attacked, you have to go after Russia? Article 5. Everyone goes after them? So what's the point of taking a defensive posture? Get rid of all those missiles and see what happens if Russia, Russia attacks Poland, let's say,
Starting point is 02:15:10 or, or France or Spain. I don't know what Spain's got anything to do with this. Whether they're getting Spain's getting Patriot missiles, that makes zero sense. If Russia attacks Spain, you nuke Moscow. Hey, whatever happened to the neutron bomb?
Starting point is 02:15:29 Remember that? Yeah. The neutron bomb in the 80s. I remember this. I think it was banned. It was a great idea. It was a bomb. Well, it was banned for that reason because it was such a good idea.
Starting point is 02:15:38 Yeah. It was a bomb that would explode and it would only kill people, not the buildings. So there was no rubbleization. Yeah, but we have since learned after doing the show for 16 years that the whole idea is rubbleization. We got our boots on the ground from Uza in Poland since you brought it up. He said, I just watched the Polish news. Now remember, Donald Tusk is back in control. We remember Tusk.
Starting point is 02:16:07 Tusk from, remember when the... Oh yeah, Tusk. When half of the Polish government was killed in that plane crash? Yeah, they're killed by the Russians. Yeah, including the... Where was NATO then? Yeah, including the central bank, the woman who ran the central bank in Poland. So he says, I was just watching the Polish news.
Starting point is 02:16:28 They're happy because there's less trash than years before. Their analysis is that people don't have so much money to spend, especially for food, so there's less trash. And they sell it as good news because less trash, well, that's the mindset of the green fascists over here. Don't get me started. What happened to Polish media since the left took over in the elections immediately after shutting down every critical tv show etc so they're done they're toast oh yeah and it was fun with rigged elections they
Starting point is 02:16:58 are but something else did you see that so the zloty that you know pol Poland doesn't use the euro, the Zloty all of a sudden dropped 25% in value a couple of days back. It was this huge just boom against the euro, against the dollar. But it was only on Google and I think think it was google charts and google said no that's just a glitch how does that even happen they get their data from external sources something's weird because the poland was freaking out because of course that went viral right away like what happened i mean are we about to get devalued or i don't know it might have been a message i don't know something weird going on with that you okay i can change well i need a lozenge i'll need a lozenge yes so uh let's change topics for just a quick uh respite
Starting point is 02:18:00 oh good word good word yes well i know uh so i'm So I'm listening to do what you do once in a while. I don't do it that often. I go and listen to random podcasts. And so if you go to iHeartRadio, they can't get ads so they do house ads for more podcasts. Because we're in podcast industrial complex winter. There's no more ads. So here we go.
Starting point is 02:18:28 I want to play a couple of them because I think they're hilarious. Oh, good work. Oh, I love this. So they're both 30-second ads. And this, the first one, is for a podcast ad for Celebrity Memoir. The Celebrity Memoir holds up a mirror to society. That's why we started our podcast, Celebrity Book Club with Stephen and Lily. Where we read celebrity memoirs.
Starting point is 02:18:50 Total guilty pleasures. And then synthesize probing cultural analyses from the text. From Jessica Simpson to historical figures like Helen Keller. Isn't that a delicious mix of highbrow and low? It certainly is. Listen to Celebrity Book Club with Stephen and Lily on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Wow. I can't. I'm
Starting point is 02:19:09 attracted to that. The voice tells me this is a podcast I'm going to love. Celebrity Memoirs. Here's a podcast ad for Reasonable Shady. This is Giselle and Robin and we're the host of Reasonably Shady on the Black Effect Podcast Network. This is the podcast that you want to listen to to feel like you're in the living room with your girlfriend. You're driving in the car with your girlfriend.
Starting point is 02:19:37 You're having a good girlfriend talk. We do hot topics. We talk about reasonable and shady things. So get into it. Topics, we talk about reasonable and shady things. So get into it. Join us every Monday for Reasonably Shady and tune into the latest season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Starting point is 02:19:51 Subscribe to Reasonably Shady on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. Wow. Top topics. You want to be in the know, listen with your girlfriends. Hey, John, should we listen to a
Starting point is 02:20:06 podcast later you and me girlfriend no the idea is you're is as if you are with your girlfriend oh oh it's a it's a surrogate for my girlfriend my girlfriends cool you got you got more of these no i should collect a bunch of them though though. Yes. They're very funny. Yes, I love this. Well, you know, it's collapsing. The whole podcast industrial complex is collapsing. No one wants to advertise. You would know. How's the numbers doing? Oh, the numbers are horrible.
Starting point is 02:20:36 Well, tell us more. Well, I mean, people are losing their jobs. There's no money um i think the the number of episodes that were published in the last month was down 20 percent nobody's listening to these crappy podcasts no of course not no they're all too busy listening to the best podcast in the universe with that i'd like to thank you for your courage say in the morning to you the man who just put the sea in Celebrity Memoir. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to my friend the other end of the room. It's John C.
Starting point is 02:21:10 DeVore. Well, in the morning to you, Mr. Adam Curry. In the morning all ships at sea, boots on the ground, feet in the air. Subs in the water. And all the dames and knights out there. In the morning to the trolls in the troll room. Hold on a second, trolls. There we go. That's better.
Starting point is 02:21:24 Let me count to 20. Oh, hold on a second, trolls. There we go. That's better. Show me country. Oh, there's so many of them. 1775. 1775. Just under about, if it was 25 more, I'd say it was normal. Well, I put it in good shape. I checked 30 minutes ago. It was 1825. And once we got into those podcast ads, people tuned out.
Starting point is 02:21:52 They dropped off right away. Just like that. Just like that. You can become a troll. Everyone wants to be a troll. Be like a troll. It's good for you. It's very healthy to be a troll. Why?
Starting point is 02:22:06 Why? Why? Why? Because you can get it all out. Go to trollroom.io. It started early before we even hit the opening of the show. Trolls were already all over me, spewing their troll sap.
Starting point is 02:22:22 Like what? Oh, just saying horrible things. What? i don't remember you're always saying that but you give never exemplify anything i gave i gave you the last show i said one of the best ones was even jesus is tired of adam's conversion that that was a good one that is a good one thanks for the reminder i told my that. He saw that was a good one, too. He said, that is good. It is a good one. That's a good one. Yeah, so you can go to trollroom.io, and then you can not only listen live to the podcast, and that's 24 hours a day, by the way.
Starting point is 02:22:56 This trolling, you can troll anybody. We recommend you troll Darren O'Neill before we start the show. He was a maniac today. He was good. You think so? Yeah, I thought he was rocking it. You didn't like it? You tuned in early.
Starting point is 02:23:13 You were on much earlier. Well, I thought he... I don't know. I kind of agree with Bemrose about what happened. What's that? There was some stuff he played he should never play again
Starting point is 02:23:26 like what i don't know i don't remember i can't remember the name of these weird metal bands no metal bands he played good he played um an acoustic version of billy idol eyes without a face that's good that's good stuff now what i recommend is you get on board with the new infrastructure because it's all collapsing it's all collapsing they're kicking people off left and right and that's not going to get any better i mean i'm surprised we're still on apple because you know the things we say is just it's outrageous now we're making fun of them that's not that's even worse. We don't make fun of Apple.
Starting point is 02:24:07 When do we do that? What are you talking about? We make fun of the podcast, the podcast industrial complex. They're all about it. Anyway, it doesn't matter. You want to have the latest features. You want to be notified within 90 seconds of us updating the show. You want to get a notification.
Starting point is 02:24:25 That's phenomenal, by the way. When we go live. You want to make sure that all your favorite podcasts are uncancellable, which John keeps saying I'm going to get a Nobel Prize for, but I'm not sure, man. I don't know if I'll leap to see the day. Oh, yeah. Forbes wrote me up.
Starting point is 02:24:39 It was a little thing, a little blurb. Forbes? Yeah, a little blurb in Forbes. What did they say? It was about value for, a little blurb in Forbes. Yeah, a little blurb in Forbes. What did they say? It was about value for value. Read it. Jeez, I mean, I'd have to go find it. Oh, you didn't have it at the ready?
Starting point is 02:24:54 No. Oh, here it is. Forbes, Forbes. Now. Has it at the ready? No, I actually went into my browser and typed in Forbes and it came up. Now, may I remind you that ever since the infamous Howard Stern incident, which happened about 12 years, 14 years ago, where you were very
Starting point is 02:25:15 mad at me. No, I was just slightly irked, but you blew up. You condemned my children. condemn my children. Ever since that moment, I have made sure that I always mention you. Well, you can mention me all you want at Forbes. They're going to write what they want. That's my point. Curry just celebrated the 16th year
Starting point is 02:25:40 of his No Agenda podcast. Now, there's a link to it. That's good. So, I'm sorry. i'm sorry i'm sorry a show with nearly a million episodes listeners per episode he said they didn't want to take any advertising money so they just asked listeners to pay five dollars a month subscription fee after disappointing results they asked the listeners to simply pay what they wanted then they could after three to four years curry was able to live off the income and focus entirely on his show.
Starting point is 02:26:07 Wow. That concept is what started Curry down the path for value for value. What's really bad is I used to work for Forbes. You'd think they'd give me some chops. Well, now it's... Who was the writer? New guy, new guy.
Starting point is 02:26:20 And actually, Mickey Koss, he's a new guy. He just left the army and this was his first gig. So they edited the crap out of him. That's what they did. He doesn't have the juice to say, hey, man, you're not doing it right, man. To reinforce podcast decentralization, Curry started podcastindex.org. Again, they didn't mention Dave Jones or the hundreds of developers. But then it says, so independent app developers will be able to get everything they need through a platform without censorship. And then I went into how we're changing the music business.
Starting point is 02:26:53 And here's the finishing quote. Curry told me that artists are now making more in a week than they made from years on Spotify. That's probably true. It is. I truly believe that because of value splits, this is where the community has stayed together. It keeps things fair, validating,
Starting point is 02:27:10 encouraging, and encouraging, he concluded. Anyway, but I'm below the fold. Does the guy talk about your pretty eyes? No, they have a nice picture of me looking all important.
Starting point is 02:27:20 Like on a panel, looking off into the distance, like with my hands up like it was this big like this fish was this big you should see this picture it's pretty funny now of course this was all part of a different article of an article that starts off with jack dorsey of course so maybe people will read it thinking jack Jack Dorsey, oh, I got to read that. The Web5 economy. Are you kidding me, Forbes? Web5 economy?
Starting point is 02:27:50 What happened to 4? What happened to 4? I don't know. Forbes has done away with Web4. I don't know. Anyway, the point being, you want to get a modern podcast app. Forbes says so right there. Forbes says it's the way to go.
Starting point is 02:28:08 So how could you not do it? Podcastapps.com. So let's talk about that value for value model that we started about a little under 16 years ago. That's true. We added to it. And of of course i told them all about by the way the original offer was two dollars a month i'm sure i said two but you know it's like they edited it down and i also said because after all with a million listeners yes two dollars from each and every one of them would be $2 million or $24 million a year in income.
Starting point is 02:28:48 It makes nothing but sense. I would have a jet plane on each foot. It would be great. Just two bucks. Two bucks. That's two bucks. Yes, I do have a beautiful smile now. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:29:03 Now, the way the model actually works is time, talent, and treasure. And we say, look, we're just giving you all the value up front. The value is what we give you in all the analysis, everything we bring. We are not afraid to be controversial, to go against our audience. So that number, that fluctuates. People leave like, I'm rage quitting this these guys suck pick a side so you know so if that happened then uh we would lose audience and then we would lose money and sponsors would walk away and the sponsor we probably get get you know people start posting media matters these guys these guys are zionists
Starting point is 02:29:48 these guys are anti-vaxxers these guys are mega which we're not yeah and then it wouldn't be for my pillow we'd have no advertisers that's that's right and people would be like yeah you guys a little too controversial you know i don't want to be a part of that and we it's better to advertise on tiktok we'll go over there we're going to spend our money over there which is where everyone's going that's the whole thing everyone's advertising on tiktok now so but it doesn't have to be money not everybody you know feels driven that way but also it's sometimes much more valuable if you do something for the show,
Starting point is 02:30:25 for the production of the show, which is why no one's called a listener. You're not fans. Most of you are definitely not fans, but you're producers. You help produce the show. And you can do that with your time and your talent. And we love what the artists do. The artists create artwork for us. And the entire art generator was created for us, maintained for us and the entire art generator was created for us maintained for us by sir paul couture so let's thank the artist for episode 1621 appropriately titled hayley's comment that was such a good title the art was uh well it's just something that felt right because we want to do a happy new year's piece of art we're very traditional in that regard and it was from a new artist who has only been on the art generator for six days when uh when we picked her art i presume it's a her suzanna leah and it was this really nice 2024 happy new year
Starting point is 02:31:17 gold sparkly lights traditional big and bold uh we liked it now we looked at lots of other stuff are you do you have the uh the art generator open here, John? No, it crashed because all these producers went to it. It's going slow for me, too. It hasn't crashed. Did you get the cloud? I haven't got the splash screen, even. No.
Starting point is 02:31:41 Stop going to it, trolls. NoahArtGenerator.com. Don don't go there don't go there but that's the i mean i love that it's new and i love that paul couture listened to him he made the artist profiles more accessible but there's something up with the speed of it it's uh it's written in fourth it's paul couture will get that joke. Yeah, lots of people will get the joke. It probably has AI. Oh, there it is. Okay, I'm getting the splash screen. Boom, I got the splash screen.
Starting point is 02:32:12 All right, here we go. So let's take a look at the other pieces that were submitted. Oh, man, this is taking... I should have had it up before. Famous last line. So we can't discuss the art today well then we won't discuss the art unless it pops up in a little bit but we appreciate suzanna leah uh new artist she had a couple of pieces she put up there there were other pieces that were totally valid um there was I thought there was a lot of usable pieces. You know, I'm so bored by the AI stuff. Even though it's usable, it's just, I mean, doesn't everybody see this just AI? We're going into this season.
Starting point is 02:32:59 AI funk. AI funk, yeah. It's a season of boring.'s just boring everything's so polished you can it can always tell that it's that it's ai i miss oh i got a gateway timeout bad it's a two it's a two um it's a dud in some ways it's too slick yeah i i think it's uh there's too many elements it's trying to load you know agenda social was also down uh yesterday which was great it was great which was great yeah it was great i'm like oh good everybody take a breather take you know have some rest you know collect your thoughts they're all over there on twitter x like oh Like, bro, I got to be part of over here.
Starting point is 02:33:46 Because just in case it doesn't come back, who cares? And then the minute it came back, what got posted? Memes. More memes. Interesting. I do three memes every so often. I'll put three memes up. I know.
Starting point is 02:34:01 I've started commenting again, and I'm regretting it already. I'm noticing this, yeah. And I'm regretting it already. I'm noticing this, yeah. And I'm regretting it because people say horrible things. Like what? Don't be so sanctimonious, so self-righteous. That's about right. And then what's the guy who said that I made millions of dollars by being the right guy at the right time?
Starting point is 02:34:20 Oh, yeah, I like that one. With what? That's what I was wondering. When did this happen let me know please all right let's thank the uh the treasure part of our producers in the uh in the three t's time talent and treasure and uh let's start off with a big thank you to dame mama con oh she has a a handwritten note. I saw this come in,
Starting point is 02:34:46 so let me grab this for a second. Dame Mama Khan. I think she wrote a card. Yep, it's a nice card too. Okay. The card said, this is a printed card, it says,
Starting point is 02:34:59 hoping that everywhere you look this season, you find little reminders of how much you're cared about and how much you're wished a beautiful, joyful Christmas. Oh, thank you, Daymama Khan. The carnage from the vaccine is ongoing, she writes. Strokes, 80% clotting, 20% bleeding. Anything heart, AFib, to myocarditis, to heart attacks, new cancers or cancers coming out of remission, infections that are out of control,
Starting point is 02:35:29 anything on the nine page list of side effects from the Pfizer clinical trials. The only question that needs to be asked was my loved one vax. Is there a diagnosis on this list? Check out how bad is my batch.com for more info. Wow. Wow. Wow. And then he says, I love your show. I wouldn't be without it.
Starting point is 02:35:53 Your hard work is very much appreciated. Dame Mama Con, $500. Thank you, Dame Mama Con. We appreciate you. And that donation is highly appreciated. Yeah. Cute card. Okay, onward with Chap Williams,

Starting point is 02:39:57 He runs the whole, I think he actually, I don't know, I think he bought some of it or all of it. But still, they have not changed anything with this format. They still have the same dumb people in the audience the same oh we got engaged that's always the same every year ll cool jay still doing his thing grabbing his crotch for the past 30 years on stage the same guy he'll always show up yes chef and then they always and after after that, oh, the countdown. There's an ugly ball this year. And then they all, oh, now we're going to cut over to the party in Los Angeles, which was taped two and a half months ago. The people are never in the right mood.

And she wants some jobs karma for everybody. And she says for remarkable resume that gets results she's convinced if you go to image makers inc.com that's image makers inc with a k by the way uh you'll get some uh executive resume job search needs solved

Starting point is 02:54:58 Yeah. Wow, it's huge. Mm-hmm. That's all I have. I like the first one. That was a little lewd. Yeah, I like the first one. It's better. All right, well, let let's go I got three
Starting point is 02:55:08 so let's start with crazy that's crazy ok let's go to not know I did not I did not know that
Starting point is 02:55:24 clear and then last is the old No. I did not. Oops, sorry. Misfire. I did not know that. Clear? Mm-hmm. And then last is the old classic, oh, another version of wow. Wow. I mean, I got to be honest with you. I think the holy cow. Oh, holy cow. I think that's kind of bad.
Starting point is 02:55:43 There I go with that. Yeah, you okay with that? Yeah. We have consensus. And now that's kind of good. There I go with that. Yeah, you okay with that? Yeah. We have consensus. And now it's time for... Goo Goo U with JCD. Yes, this is how we end the day so that you can walk away from the show feeling good about yourself, feeling good about life, feeling that a human experience is still available in our modern mainstream media known as the M5M.
Starting point is 02:56:05 John has been scouring the earth for a good news story well i credit jay with finding this one oh okay oh good now this is the keep them working those kids this is a strange story about how a cat uh-huh saved a dog and i have a comment to make explaining this clip after we play it story you don't hear every day a dog is alive and wagging its tail thanks to the family cat who scared off two attacking coyotes news for us caitlin ogle shows us the video this is little oakley she recently got her stitches out and she's back to her normal self but she's alive all thanks to her sister binks it was kind of inspired by it, quite frankly. Oakley is a white dog, Binks a black cat. They're polar opposites, but they're family.
Starting point is 02:56:52 This wooded backyard is Binks' domain. She was a neighborhood cat, just showed up when she was about two months old. November 30th, while the family's two other big dogs were also outside, out of camera view, Lane Dyer says he led the six-year-old Havanese out to go to the bathroom. Out of nowhere was attacked by a coyote. Then another coyote appears, but see that to the left? Well, that's Binks saying not in her backyard. Jumped down and scared him off is the craziest thing ever. That gave Oakley enough time to run inside. Cut her open. She was gushing blood from her chest and her side. The dyers rushed Oakley to the hospital.
Starting point is 02:57:29 She was stitched up and her leg was put in a splint. Doctors telling family Oakley may lose the limb. Thankfully, it's still intact. But while waiting for her recovery, the dyers tried to figure out what happened. Thankfully, we had security cameras. We were able to go back and actually look to see what happened. It was inspiring to see just our little outdoor cat just jump at two coyotes that were attacking this little dog who she loves and run them off. Now Oakley is back to her old self, doing tricks and eating treats while Bx keeps a watchful eye
Starting point is 02:58:06 on the woods. And Edmund, Caitlin Ockel, Oklahoma's News 4. Oh, I feel good now. I love that a cat saved a dog. And she might lose a limb. A cat saved a dog. Now, watch this.
Starting point is 02:58:18 And I have to, what I'm thinking is the coyotes weren't that big anyway. But the coyotes don't have, they're the coyotes don't have they're not like dogs and they have this enemy the enemy the cat in the house the coyotes probably saw this the cat came running like a banshee at those two things and just as a quick response the coyotes took off like like rockets because the gestalt the gestalt of the charging cat was that of a cougar. And all they saw, they reacted to what they thought might be a cougar, which is their enemy.
Starting point is 02:58:54 Huh. Well, I have a question. Is it coyote or coyote? It's either. You can pronounce it either way. I think coyote is the way you should pronounce it i'm going with coyote now just to make well coyotes i want people to look texas way of pronouncing i'd say i got a coyote in the backyard we took a shot at him but he shot back
Starting point is 02:59:15 a good news story from jcd happy vibes for you and me and we all feel better now he's done his bit So back to reality, that's turning to shit That's right, everybody.
